- 0:08Speaker 1: It's Tristan Gray from the Twins joining us right now
- 0:10Speaker 1: on FT Tristan, great to have you on the show.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Really appreciate the time. Seems like you had a fun
- 0:15Speaker 1: weekend too, with a Twins team that has the best
- 0:17Speaker 1: record in the American League. Right now, as we've just
- 0:19Speaker 1: been saying, it's super early, but still, how are you
- 0:22Speaker 1: and how much fun are you having right now?
- 0:24Speaker 2: I'm great. I appreciate you'all having me on.
- 0:27Speaker 3: It's been insane, uh, you know, just to be a
- 0:29Speaker 3: part of this and to block out all the noise
- 0:32Speaker 3: and just play and have fun winning games.
- 0:33Speaker 2: It's been sick.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Is it sick that Dustin Morris? Is Dustin Morris in
- 0:38Speaker 4: the room with you?
- 0:40Speaker 2: No, he's not. Dustin doesn't make Dustin's taking a late day,
- 0:44Speaker 2: I guess.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Oh wow, Okay, so him and who's there? Sorry we're
- 0:49Speaker 4: way off topic, but who's there? Normally first him or
- 0:52Speaker 4: Mike Herman.
- 0:53Speaker 2: You have to explain who these people are.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Tustin Morris is the PR.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Guy for the Twins.
- 0:56Speaker 5: Mike Herman is the traveling secretary for the Twins.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Would be who I would put my money on for sure,
- 1:04Speaker 3: being late or being early?
- 1:05Speaker 2: Being early wow, over Dustin.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Dustin's doing shirtless commercials. That's why Dustin's a model.
- 1:12Speaker 2: You didn't know that? No?
- 1:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, oh wow, We're gonna have to do a
- 1:16Speaker 1: different segment on that fact.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Yes, anyway, sorry, yeah, wait, before we get into like
- 1:22Speaker 1: the current state and what you just did, you know
- 1:24Speaker 1: this weekend against the Blue Jays, can you just tell
- 1:26Speaker 1: our audience a little bit about your story and finding
- 1:29Speaker 1: a home here now with the twins bouncing around to
- 1:31Speaker 1: some different organizations, you know, just run through a little
- 1:34Speaker 1: bit of what you've been through to get to this point.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Drafted in seventeen by the Pirates, went through a short
- 1:42Speaker 3: season with them and then their instructs, which was a
- 1:45Speaker 3: little bit of a grind back then, and then ended
- 1:49Speaker 3: up getting traded before spring and training in eighteen. Spent
- 1:52Speaker 3: six years with the Rays, grinded for to get two
- 1:56Speaker 3: days up, and then found myself minor league for age.
- 2:00Speaker 3: It signed with Miami and then kind of been around
- 2:03Speaker 3: the block a couple of times with I think like
- 2:05Speaker 3: six or seven different teams, just trying to find a
- 2:08Speaker 3: place to stick. And it was actually on the Red
- 2:10Speaker 3: Sox roster this offseason and then traded late to the
- 2:14Speaker 3: twins and yeah, now here we are just trying to
- 2:19Speaker 3: trying to stick all right.
- 2:21Speaker 6: So before we even get this interview off off the ground,
- 2:24Speaker 6: you are a grinder.
- 2:25Speaker 5: You weren't grinding.
- 2:26Speaker 6: I just got to make that clear, like very few
- 2:28Speaker 6: people are grinders. Aj says he was a grinder. He
- 2:32Speaker 6: wasn't a grinder, second rounder in the big leagues by
- 2:35Speaker 6: the time when he was twenty. You are officially a grinder.
- 2:38Speaker 6: So when I was looking up your stats and everything
- 2:40Speaker 6: and your track all that stuff, so welcome to the crew.
- 2:44Speaker 6: Now you're an alumni grinder cause you cause you're in
- 2:46Speaker 6: the big league so and you and you hit a
- 2:48Speaker 6: danger this weekend, so you're definitely you're definitely just an
- 2:52Speaker 6: alumni grinder. Now, But what does that look like? You've
- 2:55Speaker 6: seen so many different organizations. What do you see differently?
- 2:59Speaker 6: You said, you said something I'm sure you're talking about
- 3:02Speaker 6: in the clubhouse, a lot block out, all the noise.
- 3:05Speaker 2: What is that?
- 3:05Speaker 6: How does that look differently for you but also for
- 3:09Speaker 6: what you've seen in the other organizations.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I think a lot of it is the understanding
- 3:15Speaker 3: that it's it's your career, right, and you know, I
- 3:19Speaker 3: just became obsessed with not necessarily like trying to play
- 3:22Speaker 3: at the big league level for attention or anything.
- 3:24Speaker 2: It was more of I love this game.
- 3:26Speaker 3: I love playing the game of chess in the box,
- 3:29Speaker 3: and I just feel like I can compete at the
- 3:30Speaker 3: highest level. And I just couldn't, you know, get away
- 3:34Speaker 3: from like, I know I can do it. I know
- 3:35Speaker 3: I can do it. I just need the opportunity. And
- 3:38Speaker 3: there were times whenever I felt like I should have
- 3:40Speaker 3: gotten opportunities and it didn't happen, and those thoughts came
- 3:44Speaker 3: into my mind of just, you know, why isn't this happening.
- 3:47Speaker 3: But then I just kind of quickly came up in
- 3:49Speaker 3: my mind of what do those thoughts matter? You know,
- 3:52Speaker 3: at the end of the day, if I get the
- 3:54Speaker 3: opportunity and I'm dwelling on the fact that I got screwed.
- 3:56Speaker 2: You know, a couple of weeks before, it just doesn't
- 3:59Speaker 2: do me any good.
- 4:00Speaker 3: So I just kind of fell in love with the
- 4:01Speaker 3: grind and preparation, and now whenever I'm out there, I
- 4:05Speaker 3: just know that I've prepared and now it's hame to
- 4:07Speaker 3: have fun because I know that I can can do
- 4:10Speaker 3: this and enjoy play in front of all these people.
- 4:15Speaker 5: By the way, you forgot white sox. You forgot you're
- 4:17Speaker 5: a former white Sox, white sock.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Great, that's not for you. One day didn't get glory days.
- 4:24Speaker 2: That's still though.
- 4:24Speaker 5: That's one day, well more day than crafts got to
- 4:27Speaker 5: experience it.
- 4:27Speaker 2: So that's fine.
- 4:29Speaker 5: How do you teach? How do you tell people this?
- 4:31Speaker 4: Like what you just said is great because I always
- 4:33Speaker 4: have people always ask me, oh, you know, how do
- 4:36Speaker 4: you do this?
- 4:37Speaker 5: And how do you do that? And I said, it's
- 4:38Speaker 5: your career.
- 4:39Speaker 4: At some point, you're gonna have to stop listening to
- 4:41Speaker 4: seventeen hitting coaches, twelve twelve trainers, eighteen wait people because
- 4:47Speaker 4: everyone wants to put their little stamp on you. Right, So,
- 4:49Speaker 4: how did you finally get to the point where you said,
- 4:51Speaker 4: it's my career, I'm going to kind of do it
- 4:53Speaker 4: my way.
- 4:55Speaker 3: It kind of came whenever they talked about and I
- 4:58Speaker 3: won't say who, but it was strike out too much
- 5:00Speaker 3: and you walk less or you don't walk enough, and
- 5:04Speaker 3: so whenever you figure that out, we'll let you know.
- 5:07Speaker 3: And it was never really presented to me how to
- 5:10Speaker 3: go about it. This was early on in my career,
- 5:13Speaker 3: and so that was quickly when I found out like, oh, okay,
- 5:15Speaker 3: like it's up to me.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I've seen it.
- 5:18Speaker 3: I've played with so many good players that just never
- 5:20Speaker 3: got the opportunity, and so I just realized, like everybody
- 5:23Speaker 3: has the talent, but like, who is going to stick around?
- 5:26Speaker 3: Who's going to grind and figure out on their own
- 5:29Speaker 3: to an extent. But at the same time, it's it's
- 5:32Speaker 3: about enjoying playing with all the other guys that are
- 5:36Speaker 3: also in the same boat. So if we're all like
- 5:39Speaker 3: I just got obsessed with winning and trying to do
- 5:42Speaker 3: that in the minor leagues, and and just if I
- 5:44Speaker 3: can do it there, like, I'm just gonna treat it
- 5:45Speaker 3: the same way if I ever get the opportunity, if
- 5:48Speaker 3: I get called up.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Do you feel like you are.
- 5:51Speaker 6: The majority in the big leagues? Do you feel like
- 5:56Speaker 6: because everybody hears about the superstars, everybody hears about Do
- 5:59Speaker 6: you feel like your story is more applicable or can
- 6:05Speaker 6: can apply can be applied to more people's careers than like, say,
- 6:10Speaker 6: a Bryce Harper story, a Trey Turner, a show Heyo
- 6:13Speaker 6: Tani story. Do you feel like your career is more
- 6:16Speaker 6: of the majority than the minority in the big leagues.
- 6:21Speaker 2: I think absolutely.
- 6:22Speaker 3: I think so just because you just look at the
- 6:24Speaker 3: amount of time or the average time now in the
- 6:26Speaker 3: big leagues is what two years.
- 6:28Speaker 2: You know, it's lasting.
- 6:30Speaker 3: And so if you get caught up with all of that,
- 6:32Speaker 3: those thoughts of like, oh, I'm gonna be Bryce Harper
- 6:34Speaker 3: and then you don't you're entitled to getting this opportunity
- 6:39Speaker 3: or that's just gonna get in the way. If you
- 6:42Speaker 3: can just be you know, the guy that's just obsessed with,
- 6:45Speaker 3: you know, getting other guys around you to play better,
- 6:47Speaker 3: and in turn they do that same for you, it
- 6:49Speaker 3: just makes going to work for one hundred and sixty
- 6:51Speaker 3: two games or one hundred and fifty games in the
- 6:52Speaker 3: minor league that much better.
- 6:55Speaker 4: All right, let's get to the Twins. What are the
- 6:57Speaker 4: Twins doing right? Because most people thought, including myself I'm
- 7:00Speaker 4: a former Twin, that they were that you guys were
- 7:03Speaker 4: not gonna be that great this year, and you guys
- 7:06Speaker 4: are off to an unbelievably good start swinging the bats,
- 7:10Speaker 4: you guys are pitching. Well, what is Derek Shelton brought
- 7:12Speaker 4: to the Twins that you were maybe surprised about or
- 7:15Speaker 4: what are you.
- 7:15Speaker 5: Guys doing right?
- 7:17Speaker 3: I think it's the way that we're going about our
- 7:19Speaker 3: bats or just the playing the game in general. I
- 7:23Speaker 3: think we've got a culture of like doing whatever it
- 7:25Speaker 3: takes to win. It's not necessarily all right, you get
- 7:28Speaker 3: up in that spot and I'm going to get the
- 7:29Speaker 3: big hit. Sometimes it takes taking that walk or putting
- 7:34Speaker 3: the ball in play that leads to a guy getting
- 7:37Speaker 3: the hit behind you. The other day, I think Austin
- 7:40Speaker 3: Martin beat out a ground ball when to second he
- 7:43Speaker 3: was at first, He beat out a ground ball for
- 7:44Speaker 3: somebody bases loaded, and the next guy got an opportunity
- 7:48Speaker 3: with less than two outs and bases loaded. So just
- 7:50Speaker 3: finding ways to get, you know, moving the ball forward
- 7:53Speaker 3: and not trying to be the hero every single at bat,
- 7:56Speaker 3: and just understanding that it's a collective nine trying to
- 8:00Speaker 3: put up runs. And then defensively in pitching, I think
- 8:03Speaker 3: we've just been doing a good job of knowing where
- 8:06Speaker 3: to be and how to attack guys, and our catchers
- 8:08Speaker 3: have been unreal at the abs.
- 8:10Speaker 2: So I think all that's playing in Kratz.
- 8:15Speaker 7: The world has a cord problem. Wires everywhere. It's twenty
- 8:19Speaker 7: twenty six and it is time to get a.
- 8:23Speaker 6: Ridge wallet five and one. It's not a wallet, it's
- 8:25Speaker 6: a charger. Look at this thing. It sticks to your phone.
- 8:29Speaker 6: You push the button, it charges your phone while you
- 8:32Speaker 6: can charge two different items at the same time. Oh
- 8:35Speaker 6: and don't forget while it's charging. You got at a
- 8:39Speaker 6: little lean to John that'll help it sit right there.
- 8:43Speaker 6: Appreciate your Ridge wallet.
- 8:44Speaker 7: This is so nice, which is great for me. If
- 8:46Speaker 7: I'm at the airport, I'm watching a game, I can
- 8:48Speaker 7: charge five devices and then I can just watch something
- 8:51Speaker 7: on the phone. Of course, they still have the wallets
- 8:53Speaker 7: that are money too, and we know the code. It's
- 8:55Speaker 7: nice and simple. It's foul foul one thing to pack.
- 8:59Speaker 7: Five to power. You can find Ridge's power bank at
- 9:02Speaker 7: best Buy or our listeners can get ten percent off
- 9:04Speaker 7: at Ridge dot com by using code foul at checkout.
- 9:07Speaker 7: Head to Ridge dot com use code foul and you're
- 9:09Speaker 7: all set. After your purchase, they'll ask you where you
- 9:11Speaker 7: heard about him. Please support ft until them We sent
- 9:14Speaker 7: you so.
- 9:15Speaker 6: Because of the ABS, you guys are better.
- 9:17Speaker 2: I love that. I love that explanation.
- 9:18Speaker 3: For sure, good, it's proven for sure. I think the
- 9:21Speaker 3: stats are out there.
- 9:22Speaker 6: Yeah, and they have And Jeffers was I think eight
- 9:26Speaker 6: of his ten overturned calls were for strikeouts. Did you
- 9:31Speaker 6: guys hear or have you guys talked about that, like
- 9:34Speaker 6: how big of the spot it needs to be? Or
- 9:36Speaker 6: is it just one of those things that Jeffers is like, yeah,
- 9:38Speaker 6: well this is a big spot. I'm gonna use it
- 9:39Speaker 6: because they're wrong.
- 9:42Speaker 3: I think it's not so much of it's more of
- 9:45Speaker 3: just trusting that you understand the zone. They know if
- 9:48Speaker 3: it's a little close. I mean, they just have an
- 9:50Speaker 3: understanding of the game of the game.
- 9:52Speaker 2: You know. Catchers are that way.
- 9:54Speaker 3: And I think it's not being scared, it's just knowing
- 9:58Speaker 3: and trusting. And whenever people have gotten it wrong, no
- 10:01Speaker 3: one has said a word or been mad about anything.
- 10:03Speaker 3: It's just like, all right, we're out. Whatever it was,
- 10:05Speaker 3: just keep playing. So it's one of our focuses of
- 10:08Speaker 3: just being confident and also not holding too much weight
- 10:12Speaker 3: on it if you get it wrong.
- 10:14Speaker 2: All right.
- 10:14Speaker 6: We were talking about tired narratives before, and I watched
- 10:18Speaker 6: a couple of your games this year, and around the
- 10:21Speaker 6: league everybody's like, oh, well, this team's struggling because it's
- 10:25Speaker 6: cold or this. I watched a couple of y'allose games,
- 10:28Speaker 6: y'all have played in an absolute frozen tundra. Does it
- 10:32Speaker 6: affect teams the same way or do you feel like
- 10:37Speaker 6: it's a mindset? Because I saw your playing in a
- 10:39Speaker 6: game where the other team announcer was saying, Wow, it's
- 10:43Speaker 6: so cold out there, and then you guys just kept
- 10:45Speaker 6: scoring run after run, hitting the digger, scoring run after run.
- 10:51Speaker 3: I think it definitely can affect you if you allow it.
- 10:54Speaker 3: I definitely think it's a mentality. But I mean, before
- 10:56Speaker 3: the games, we're all talking about it, complaining about it,
- 10:59Speaker 3: but we're also in the lathering up with vasiline, just
- 11:02Speaker 3: finding tricks or ways to uh not allow the weather
- 11:05Speaker 3: to affect you.
- 11:07Speaker 6: Okay, So then what is the craziest thing you've seen
- 11:11Speaker 6: any of you? Because you said you're lathering up with
- 11:13Speaker 6: vasiline for everybody who hasn't for who hasn't played you
- 11:17Speaker 6: put vasoline on it. It will keep you, it will keep
- 11:19Speaker 6: you warmer, but you're still cold. But what's the craziest
- 11:23Speaker 6: thing you've seen somebody do to try to stay warm?
- 11:26Speaker 6: And has anybody burned their socks on the industrial heater
- 11:30Speaker 6: that's usually at the end of the dugout.
- 11:34Speaker 3: I've seen some red hot be put in some places
- 11:37Speaker 3: that probably doesn't normally go. I haven't tried that one,
- 11:41Speaker 3: but I've heard it works.
- 11:42Speaker 2: And then.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Amar got talking to one of our hitting coaches a
- 11:47Speaker 3: little too close to that the heater and his pantletic
- 11:52Speaker 3: caught on fire.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Seen it. We all signed sign and gave it to him.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Stay away from the kids danger. So here.
- 12:03Speaker 4: This all leads me to my next question, Tristan, I
- 12:05Speaker 4: love target Field and I love the Twins, Go Twins.
- 12:09Speaker 5: Why didn't they put a roof on that stadium?
- 12:13Speaker 2: I just got here. That's that's the way I know.
- 12:17Speaker 5: You know what.
- 12:18Speaker 4: You had to pay Mike Herman's salary. That's why they
- 12:20Speaker 4: couldn't afford to put the stadium.
- 12:22Speaker 1: That's why what would you rather it be that or
- 12:24Speaker 1: his former team, the Rays with the trop.
- 12:27Speaker 5: At least the Troup. It's not cold and they know
- 12:29Speaker 5: they're going to play.
- 12:30Speaker 1: It's a little prettier in Minnesota, it is.
- 12:32Speaker 4: I love targeting. Target Field is one of my favorite places.
- 12:35Speaker 4: The fans are on top of you. Yes, you feel
- 12:38Speaker 4: like the fans are sitting on you, and it's awesome.
- 12:42Speaker 5: You saw it for the playoffs a few years on
- 12:44Speaker 5: that series.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's great.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Target Field is one of the best, the best places
- 12:49Speaker 4: to play to be and they've done a great job
- 12:51Speaker 4: in there.
- 12:52Speaker 1: So I have a question while we're on the rays
- 12:54Speaker 1: for a moment, because you played with Chandler Simpson, right,
- 12:58Speaker 1: mm hmm, So how would you rate his speed compared
- 13:01Speaker 1: to like anyone else that you've faced in the minors
- 13:05Speaker 1: or in the bigs.
- 13:06Speaker 2: What else crats Byron Buckson?
- 13:08Speaker 6: No, No, Byron Buckson has the same spring speed as
- 13:10Speaker 6: Chandler Simpson.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Wow, I did not know that.
- 13:15Speaker 3: But also I will say I've been watching buck for
- 13:17Speaker 3: the first time up close this year and I just
- 13:20Speaker 3: look at everybody like is this for real?
- 13:22Speaker 2: Like is this guy really doing that?
- 13:25Speaker 3: But with Chadler, I feel like it's he's It just
- 13:29Speaker 3: seems a little bit. I don't know if he's maybe
- 13:31Speaker 3: because he's smaller in stature, but man, Chandler, Chandler flies,
- 13:38Speaker 3: and he loves it. He loves and that's the way
- 13:40Speaker 3: that he plays and you know it with the fake
- 13:42Speaker 3: bunts or putting it actually down.
- 13:44Speaker 2: I think he's definitely fastest in the league.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Do you feel like I don't want to say, there's
- 13:51Speaker 1: a chip on his shoulder, but he's the kind of
- 13:53Speaker 1: player that's like more quote old school these days, where yeah,
- 13:57Speaker 1: he might slap some hits. I know he's hitting the
- 14:00Speaker 1: all harder this year, but still, it just kind of
- 14:02Speaker 1: felt like he was up against the industry based on
- 14:07Speaker 1: his hitting profile. So I'm just curious, as someone who
- 14:11Speaker 1: was also told hey, you have to do this, not that,
- 14:13Speaker 1: what did you observe with someone like Chandler, who I
- 14:16Speaker 1: think fifteen years ago would have been all the talk
- 14:18Speaker 1: and now it's like, oh, well, he doesn't swing the
- 14:20Speaker 1: batfast enough, he doesn't hit the ball hard enough. And
- 14:23Speaker 1: then meanwhile, I just watched him take on the Yankees
- 14:26Speaker 1: this weekend and just run circles around them.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's been awesome to see him stick
- 14:32Speaker 3: to who he is. I think I've I at least
- 14:36Speaker 3: noticed it from his at bets from this year to
- 14:38Speaker 3: compared to last year. He's perfected being inside the baseball
- 14:42Speaker 3: and just hitting those low liners. And I've talked to
- 14:45Speaker 3: him about I've seen him work, and the guy grinds.
- 14:49Speaker 3: He grinds it just being short to the baseball, and
- 14:51Speaker 3: I think it's paying off. I mean, as soon as
- 14:53Speaker 3: he puts it in play, the infield is very much
- 14:56Speaker 3: aware that they cannot bobble the ball, and I think
- 14:59Speaker 3: that plays a huge can do.
- 15:00Speaker 5: His game, Tristan, do you know who's behind you on
- 15:05Speaker 5: the photo?
- 15:10Speaker 2: I don't now, but.
- 15:14Speaker 5: It says it on it. It says it on it.
- 15:16Speaker 5: Can you read this signature?
- 15:20Speaker 2: Where's the thing?
- 15:20Speaker 5: Right right on the chest?
- 15:23Speaker 2: Says yeah? When were you born? And we haven't had
- 15:30Speaker 2: to recursive in a very long time. I was gonna
- 15:33Speaker 2: say it, Rice.
- 15:33Speaker 4: They don't teach those things, so you know, you gotta
- 15:36Speaker 4: be careful. That's that's Harmon Killbrew, by the way, who
- 15:39Speaker 4: is one of the greats of all time. So if
- 15:41Speaker 4: you're gonna be with the Twins for a while, you
- 15:43Speaker 4: might want to know who Harmon Kilbrew is.
- 15:44Speaker 5: He's also the MLB.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Logo on your hat. So that's probably a guy that
- 15:48Speaker 4: you might want to get to know. Yep, well, I
- 15:50Speaker 4: mean he's he's past, but just Twins territory. They love,
- 15:54Speaker 4: they love Harmon Kilbrew. But the reason I bring it
- 15:56Speaker 4: up is I always have a conversation. I tell the
- 15:58Speaker 4: story that Harmon Kilber. You see his autograph, he would
- 16:00Speaker 4: tell you you have to sign your autograph perfectly, so
- 16:03Speaker 4: if you look at it. That's why I thought you
- 16:04Speaker 4: could be able to read it, because he signs his
- 16:06Speaker 4: autograph every time.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Every letter is perfect.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Now that you say it, I now see it. Yeah,
- 16:14Speaker 3: but I did not before I panic, So it happens.
- 16:17Speaker 5: Okay, that's why you're fine.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Do you fish? Do you fish? Yeah? Okay. Do you
- 16:24Speaker 2: know that.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Your clubhouse attendant, hot Rod loves to fish?
- 16:30Speaker 2: I have. We haven't talked about that yet.
- 16:32Speaker 4: You need to go up to him today when we're
- 16:34Speaker 4: done with this interview and say, hey, AJ wants to
- 16:36Speaker 4: know why you haven't taken me to fish the runoff.
- 16:38Speaker 2: That's all.
- 16:39Speaker 4: I just want you to ask him that and just
- 16:41Speaker 4: see what he says, because he I he'll then he'll
- 16:44Speaker 4: take you muskie fishing forever.
- 16:45Speaker 3: So just say, hey, actually run I heard him talking
- 16:48Speaker 3: to Cole Sands about getting out on the boat whenever
- 16:51Speaker 3: it gets warmer.
- 16:52Speaker 5: Yeah. So he's one of the he's one of the
- 16:54Speaker 5: good ones.
- 16:54Speaker 4: So make sure you make him take you out musky
- 16:57Speaker 4: fishing and make sure it's runoff. Okay, thank you, And
- 17:01Speaker 4: also ask them where my shoes are supposed to be
- 17:03Speaker 4: a fair of shoes that you forgot.
- 17:04Speaker 6: So all right, last question, and this one's for AJ
- 17:10Speaker 6: to listen to and you to answer. Did you have
- 17:13Speaker 6: to pay for your sleeveless fleece that you're wearing right now,
- 17:17Speaker 6: your hooded sweatshirt that you're wearing.
- 17:20Speaker 2: I did not.
- 17:21Speaker 6: Okay, See, now you came to the Twins organization at
- 17:24Speaker 6: a better time because when AJ was there, they had
- 17:27Speaker 6: to pay for their fleeces. They didn't get them because
- 17:30Speaker 6: they played in a dome. So the Twins have moved
- 17:34Speaker 6: on up.
- 17:35Speaker 4: True story, true story. Mike Fetter's bottom for us.
- 17:42Speaker 2: I got chefs.
- 17:43Speaker 6: Yeah, he doesn't know.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Changed.
- 17:46Speaker 5: Yeah, they get they get free stuff now they don't
- 17:49Speaker 5: have to buy it.
- 17:49Speaker 2: They have a weight for him too. Yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 5: We also we didn't have one of those. We have
- 17:54Speaker 5: a batting cage, so I mean they have bad cages.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I mean a lot of coaches didn't even believe in
- 17:58Speaker 1: the water.
- 17:59Speaker 6: Were oh Tom Kelly, no, no weight room.
- 18:03Speaker 4: Yeah, but you did believe in a batting cage even
- 18:05Speaker 4: though we didn't have one.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Times have changed. Enjoy the resources.
