  My computer was not working, and I didn't know what to do. I just bought it. It's a new laptop.

  So I went over to the Geek Squad over at Best Buy in Middletown,

  and I ran into a young lady. I'm going to try and say her name.

  And she was an amazing representative and also was very knowledgeable and was

  very patient with me as we got my laptop back in order.

  Folks, Ash Wednesday is so important to all of us.

  This is the way I'm going to put it. It can be a little bit different than I'm
• 3:13
  sure you'll hear in most sermons in most churches.

  But to me, Ash Wednesday is a way for all of us to not only try our very best
• 3:24
  to give something up for the next 40 days in honor of what Christ did for us.
• 3:29
  But in addition to that, what I like is that we get an opportunity to go out.
• 3:35
  And when we get marked on our forehead with the cross, it allows us the opportunity
• 3:41
  to remind others that we make up the body of Christ.
• 3:47
  That we are marking ourselves as believers and those that trust and believe in God Almighty.
• 3:55
  Please, I encourage each and every one of you to do that.
• 3:59
  My son recently been diagnosed with something that I don't wanna share just yet.
• 4:04
  But when he was, you know, it was a very hard pill to swallow.
• 4:10
  He is fine, his health is fine. Please don't get this, misunderstand that.
• 4:14
  And in time, I will make that announcement. not ready yet.
• 4:18
  But the reason why I'm explaining this to you is because I am going to do my part and thank God,
• 4:26
  because even though the prognosis, or I should say the diagnosis was not in
• 4:31
  the favor of what we wanted as parents, I still remember that I will always
• 4:37
  be grateful for what God has given my son,
• 4:41
  my daughter, my wife, myself, and our families.
• 4:44
  And I honor and cherish God and whatever his decision is and whatever,
• 4:48
  you know, is happening with our family.
• 4:52
  I'm still grateful that Noah has been created in God's image and he is going
• 4:59
  to go out and change the world. I know it.
• 5:02
  So there's a story that I told you yesterday I wanted to talk about,
• 5:05
  and it's pretty powerful.

  And it's going to make a lot of you either upset, uncomfortable,
• 5:09
  or most likely turn the channel.
• 5:12
  And if that is the case, that is your prerogative. And I respect that.
• 5:17
  We all have a right to our opinions.
• 5:19
  I have said this more and more on this show.

  When we say you are all welcome at the table, you are all welcome at the table.

  Just recently in one of those moms groups, a woman posted that her child who
• 5:35
  was being baptized authorized.
• 5:37
  Was not allowed to partake in a picture because of the lifestyle that she leads.

  I understand that this is a topic that can be very, very controversial.

  And because I haven't got permission on her part to describe the nature of what
• 5:53
  it is about, I can only be a little vague.
• 5:56
  All I can tell you is, if this was my church,

  if I had a church, and you chose to bring your child to be baptized and you
• 6:07
  promised and said you are going to raise this child to learn about Jesus Christ
• 6:13
  and that you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior and that you believe in God,
• 6:18
  I would, of course, honor a photograph.
• 6:22
  We have to stop worrying about what others think.
• 6:25
  We have to understand that there are people out there that are seeking God.
• 6:29
  And when you seek God, we must honor that.
• 6:35
  Conversations can be made. Can we talk about our opinions and understandings of what the Bible says?

  I understand that and I wanna honor the Bible to the best and to the 100% of what I'm reading.
• 6:49
  And I understand that there are things in the Bible that do not collate or agree
• 6:55
  with some of the lifestyles that some people use or have.
• 6:59
  Or have agreed to do. But when you seek God, when you're seeking the Lord,
• 7:06
  how can you turn that away?
• 7:08
  You can't do that. People are seeking the Lord and conversations need to be made.

  And that's as far as I'm going to take it today. Join me tomorrow as I explain

  what is going on today as I'm going to complete my bucket list and my childhood

  dream comes true this afternoon.

  Lord, we utilize this time as we go out into the world and we honor you,

  Lord, for all that you have done for us.

  We thank you, Lord, for just being a part of our lives, for allowing us the

  opportunity to be graced with your presence.

  We know, Lord, that things just don't happen by accident.

  We thank you, Lord, for all that you do.

  On this Ash Wednesday, we remember that you are dust and dust, you shall return.

  Ephesians, I'm sorry I can never say it, Ecclesius I gotta learn how to say

  these Chapter 3, verse 20 Don't worry, I know Pastor Jim will get me on that

  one But remember that in Genesis,

  Chapter 2, verse 7 It says, the Lord God formed the human From the topsoil of

  the fertile land And blew life's breath into his nostrils The human came to life,

  Remember this on our day As we pray the words that you taught us our Father,
• 8:41
  who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

  Lead us not into temptation.

  Deliver us from evil, for yours is the kingdom, the power, and the everlasting spirit.
