Sixteen children, ages 1.5 to 18, were rescued from a home in Vinton County, Ohio, after authorities uncovered horrific conditions of prolonged neglect and abuse. The kids, allegedly confined to a small room for years, showed signs of severe trauma — some unable to speak, none in school — and were found in unsanitary, insect-infested surroundings.
