- 2:24Speaker 4: things will thank you so much for the introduction.
- 2:25Speaker 3: That was felt great.
- 2:28Speaker 4: I felt real good as I was going and I
- 2:31Speaker 4: was like, that's weird. There's no stumbles. And as soon
- 2:32Speaker 4: as I thought that, boom we got one and it
- 2:34Speaker 4: was nice.
- 2:35Speaker 6: Do you like the papers?
- 2:37Speaker 3: Yeah? I like the paper.
- 2:38Speaker 4: You know my eyes? Yeah, And I struggled real bad
- 2:40Speaker 4: with the eyes.
- 2:41Speaker 3: So that was a nice deal.
- 2:43Speaker 4: I feel that was very helpful to me, and I
- 2:45Speaker 4: do I do appreciate that. A couple of things for you.
- 2:48Speaker 4: One wasn't in the jungle. I was in Mexico City too.
- 2:51Speaker 3: It sounds better if you're not on you're in the jungle.
- 2:54Speaker 3: I was in.
- 2:55Speaker 4: I was in the lower part near Guatemala. That's where
- 2:58Speaker 4: I was, like Costa Rica kind of kind of. And
- 3:00Speaker 4: it's also not New Mexico City. New Mexico is in
- 3:03Speaker 4: the States. I was in actual Mexico City.
- 3:05Speaker 3: What I said, in New Mexico City.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Yeah, And that's okay, brother, because you're a Missouri cat
- 3:10Speaker 4: and that's what you do.
- 3:11Speaker 3: It was on me a couple of weeks ago because
- 3:12Speaker 3: I said, uh, was it? Memphis was in the north.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I was like Memphis in like the northeast part of Tennessee.
- 3:19Speaker 7: Yeah, he said that that's the opposite side.
- 3:22Speaker 4: But there was a piece of me too that was
- 3:24Speaker 4: also working out.
- 3:25Speaker 3: I kind of you did see it because.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Knoxville's east right, Knoxville, Memphis is west, and Memphis is
- 3:32Speaker 4: southwest southwest right, and the Nationals in the middle north
- 3:36Speaker 4: like the northern middle relative.
- 3:39Speaker 3: No, no, no, the relative.
- 3:40Speaker 7: Memphis and Knoxville technically, but National is also more north.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Would you call would you call Nashville Middle Tennessee. Yeah, okay,
- 3:47Speaker 4: then that's that's what we need right there. You're like,
- 3:51Speaker 4: well at them maps again, which you do not need
- 3:52Speaker 4: to bring back up. Boys. I am so fired up
- 3:56Speaker 4: to be back on this bus with you guys.
- 3:58Speaker 3: It's it's been chaotic for our brand.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Yeah, it's been. It's been a shit show. It's been
- 4:04Speaker 4: bad for the brand.
- 4:05Speaker 6: It's been bad. It's been bad out there.
- 4:07Speaker 3: I know, I'm smiling.
- 4:08Speaker 6: I don't know about you've seen.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I'm assuming you've seen quite a bit, but it's been
- 4:12Speaker 3: We've taken a lot of shots.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, I mean I even tweeted last night, I
- 4:16Speaker 4: feel like it's my first day of school. Can't wait
- 4:18Speaker 4: to see the boys and every people are like oooh,
- 4:21Speaker 4: you're a piece of shit. And I was like, damn, bro,
- 4:24Speaker 4: the boys are still mad. I did apologize because.
- 4:26Speaker 3: I wanted to do a tweet Hey Delaney and I.
- 4:28Speaker 3: We got a great guest on today, Taylor Lawan. But
- 4:31Speaker 3: I was like, I don't want to, you know, I
- 4:32Speaker 3: don't want to kick a guy while he's down.
- 4:34Speaker 4: It was interesting because like obviously there was the ship show,
- 4:37Speaker 4: and when I got to Mexico, you know how, it
- 4:39Speaker 4: was like I had like hardle any service. Anytime you
- 4:41Speaker 4: and I tried to talk, I'd have to call you
- 4:42Speaker 4: back four separate times in four separate locations just to
- 4:45Speaker 4: just to get something done. And I get there and
- 4:48Speaker 4: I'm not really thinking of it because my logic was, well,
- 4:51Speaker 4: I've taken literally six months off the pod for football before,
- 4:55Speaker 4: like this is probably nothing like that.
- 4:57Speaker 3: I was.
- 4:57Speaker 4: It was a it was an innocent thought process that
- 5:00Speaker 4: ended up not well.
- 5:01Speaker 3: And along those lines as well, like again, when you
- 5:05Speaker 3: do do those things, we've always pivoted. We've always like, hey,
- 5:09Speaker 3: we'll figure it out. That was like the first thing
- 5:10Speaker 3: I said to you. I was like, yeah, bro, that'd
- 5:12Speaker 3: be sick, Like we'll figure it out. Yeah, don't worry
- 5:13Speaker 3: about the spring tour. We'll figure it out. And then
- 5:15Speaker 3: obviously hindsight's twenty twenty and we're kind of thinking through
- 5:18Speaker 3: it a little bit more like, Okay, we could have
- 5:19Speaker 3: went about that way. Yeah, a lot different.
- 5:22Speaker 4: And though and like, yeah, the brand itself could have
- 5:25Speaker 4: gone about it a whole lot different. Me personally, like
- 5:28Speaker 4: when I get to Mexico and I go to sleep,
- 5:30Speaker 4: I'll wake up and I have like a text come
- 5:32Speaker 4: through around ten am or something like that, and it's
- 5:34Speaker 4: like it's from you saying, hey, you should probably say
- 5:37Speaker 4: something on the internet. I don't know because I took
- 5:39Speaker 4: I took my social media and this is something the
- 5:41Speaker 4: thing that I was doing, which it's so lame that
- 5:43Speaker 4: I can't talk about it because I i'm yeah in
- 5:48Speaker 4: NBA's but also like I'm like, hey, I was doing
- 5:50Speaker 4: something and it's like but I can't say what it
- 5:52Speaker 4: is now.
- 5:53Speaker 6: It's you're about to make a move like a box.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Office yeah, which is like, no, it's not that. It's
- 5:58Speaker 4: not a it's not a quin tearn Know movie or
- 6:00Speaker 4: anything like that. If it was, I would break that
- 6:02Speaker 4: NDIA and may tell all of you immediately. That is
- 6:05Speaker 4: the coolest thing of all time. But this opportunity was
- 6:07Speaker 4: something I've never done before, so I was like super
- 6:09Speaker 4: focused on it. I told Sherman. I was like, hey, man,
- 6:12Speaker 4: here's my password, here's my username. Sherman is a guy
- 6:15Speaker 4: who works with us, and I was like, can you
- 6:17Speaker 4: just post post busts and stuff and just make sure that, like,
- 6:21Speaker 4: because I want to really want to focus on this
- 6:22Speaker 4: for that month that I'm gone. And when I saw
- 6:24Speaker 4: your text being like, hey, you probably should say something,
- 6:27Speaker 4: that's another thing that like I'm an idiot, Like why
- 6:30Speaker 4: wouldn't I be the first one to say, Hey, I'm
- 6:32Speaker 4: sorry I'm not at the Spring tour. I'm sorry that
- 6:35Speaker 4: I'm not at but like busting bl blahlah blah. It's like,
- 6:37Speaker 4: literally like will my dad putting his son behind his back?
- 6:42Speaker 4: Going listen? He did, He's doing the best he can.
- 6:44Speaker 3: And I put that out because we hadn't said anything.
- 6:46Speaker 3: I know, I know, if I think about my individual
- 6:50Speaker 3: I should have just been direct because I sent that.
- 6:53Speaker 3: We were sending voice messages back and forth and I
- 6:55Speaker 3: was like, hey, I kind of talked about I kind
- 6:57Speaker 3: of said something on the bus or whatever. I didn't
- 6:59Speaker 3: say too much or it'd be good if you like
- 7:01Speaker 3: put out a video or something. Kind of just said
- 7:03Speaker 3: it without being like.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Hey, you need to put it, you need to put
- 7:07Speaker 4: out you just say.
- 7:07Speaker 6: Something before I say something.
- 7:09Speaker 3: When it was nighttime and nothing had happened, and I
- 7:11Speaker 3: know we were back and forth on face, I was like,
- 7:12Speaker 3: I got to put something out because we're about to
- 7:15Speaker 3: we're about to cancel this live show.
- 7:17Speaker 6: And I I'm gonna just it's gonna be bad. It's
- 7:21Speaker 6: not gonna be good.
- 7:21Speaker 4: And then everybody thought we were canceled the live show
- 7:23Speaker 4: because I wasn't there. But right before I left, the
- 7:26Speaker 4: live show was like, hey, we've sold only a couple
- 7:28Speaker 4: of tickets.
- 7:28Speaker 3: PA, Well, so yeah, yeah, there were a few things
- 7:30Speaker 3: in South Carolina, we had a low number, and then
- 7:32Speaker 3: the place told us that, hey, there'll be a lot
- 7:34Speaker 3: of people show up day of when we had to
- 7:36Speaker 3: push back, not the pushback, but kind of like the
- 7:39Speaker 3: disgruntleness from Dave on like, hey, like this is the
- 7:42Speaker 3: Busting with the Boys Spring Tour, not Busting with the
- 7:44Speaker 3: Boys Spring Tour, and was like, I get it, you
- 7:47Speaker 3: guys have a backup plan and everything else, but when
- 7:50Speaker 3: sales sells this stuff and they think the brains think
- 7:52Speaker 3: at you guys, and then all of a sudden, Taylor's
- 7:54Speaker 3: not on half of it. Then it's like, you know
- 7:57Speaker 3: they might not. It'll rub the salespeople wrong because they
- 8:00Speaker 3: don't want to stick their neck out and sell for
- 8:01Speaker 3: you guys, because they don't know if you guys are
- 8:03Speaker 3: gonna both be showing up. So that thought going into
- 8:07Speaker 3: we've sold a lower number of tickets was kind of like, Okay,
- 8:10Speaker 3: we can punt this one, get one in Nashville, which
- 8:13Speaker 3: we know we'll be on our own backyard. You'll get
- 8:16Speaker 3: to do another one. So instead of doing one live show,
- 8:18Speaker 3: now you get to do two out of the three. Yeah.
- 8:20Speaker 6: It was kind of like that.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Whole combination of like, hey, load tickets. I don't know
- 8:24Speaker 3: if Delaney's coming with us yet. I'm writing this thing solo.
- 8:27Speaker 3: I'm trying to figure this thing out, you know. There
- 8:31Speaker 3: Dave had good points about, you know, all this stuff
- 8:33Speaker 3: with the spring tour and everything else. So it's like, this,
- 8:36Speaker 3: to me would be better because it's almost like, you know,
- 8:37Speaker 3: if we got fifteen to twenty fans showing up for
- 8:40Speaker 3: a live show, when we could go on Nashville like
- 8:43Speaker 3: we shoot ourselves on the foot being in every corner
- 8:45Speaker 3: of America trying to push live show tickets right when
- 8:48Speaker 3: we're just trying to get interviews for the head coaching players.
- 8:51Speaker 3: It's like, we can do one where we know we'll
- 8:53Speaker 3: sell more, Like it'll be bigger, it'll be better, yeah,
- 8:55Speaker 3: versus like you swing the camera around like we may.
- 8:58Speaker 3: We still did a meet and greet, which was a
- 9:00Speaker 3: lot of fun. I feel like people were like walking
- 9:02Speaker 3: away like, oh that was sick because we got to
- 9:03Speaker 3: talk with you guys and hang out versus just listen
- 9:06Speaker 3: to a show.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Yeah, sit in the back room, then do a show,
- 9:08Speaker 4: and then go back to.
- 9:08Speaker 3: The back room type thing. Obviously, on the surface, it
- 9:11Speaker 3: all looks bad. It looks you know, it looks bad.
- 9:14Speaker 3: It looks bad. And I had somebody who told me
- 9:15Speaker 3: they drove down from Canada and I was actually like
- 9:18Speaker 3: fuck man, I felt so bad about it. But then
- 9:21Speaker 3: I come to realized, like this dude's just a troll
- 9:23Speaker 3: and he's just been somebody that's like been negative in
- 9:25Speaker 3: the comments before. Yeah, because I'm like feeling bad, I'm like, god,
- 9:28Speaker 3: I know this will in the big picture. This is
- 9:30Speaker 3: like a better move on being like, Hey, we're going
- 9:32Speaker 3: to do a live show in our own backyard versus
- 9:34Speaker 3: like show up for the fifteen twenty, like we're gonna
- 9:37Speaker 3: make this work and give them are all like when
- 9:39Speaker 3: we're there, have twisted teas like do the whole song
- 9:42Speaker 3: and dance to Laney was awesome, but uh it was.
- 9:46Speaker 6: It was.
- 9:47Speaker 4: Yeah, it could have been handled so much better, like you,
- 9:51Speaker 4: I think once we realized we fucked up as far
- 9:55Speaker 4: as like telling people in advance, you did a great
- 9:58Speaker 4: job of working everything. I really dropped the ball being
- 10:04Speaker 4: with my focus somewhere else. Could have done a much
- 10:06Speaker 4: better job of like speaking more on it being there
- 10:10Speaker 4: before saying something like and taking accountability. It was a
- 10:13Speaker 4: really it was a tough go that first week. I
- 10:15Speaker 4: remember being tight and I also did I didn't look
- 10:18Speaker 4: at social media a whole lot, but I was gone
- 10:20Speaker 4: for thirty days and have I every time I checked
- 10:23Speaker 4: social media there was a new clip from barstool someone
- 10:26Speaker 4: commenting on it, or I knew something, or I knew.
- 10:29Speaker 6: This unnamed show, or fucking PFT made a joke about it.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Well, because while you're gone, it's like Travis backs out
- 10:38Speaker 3: at the Olympics last week, like we're having all these
- 10:41Speaker 3: things and it just boom boom domino.
- 10:44Speaker 4: After it just been a turbulent couple of months. Yeah,
- 10:46Speaker 4: turbulent couple of months. So before we're like, I'm now,
- 10:50Speaker 4: so I jump off social media and then I come
- 10:52Speaker 4: back and peak and I keep I peek me on
- 10:54Speaker 4: the curtain, but I don't see the whole context. The
- 10:56Speaker 4: point I was like, yo, is this not have we
- 10:58Speaker 4: not barstool like and over this yet? Like what I like,
- 11:02Speaker 4: legit got tired about it for a second, barcel gotten.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Over, Like like when we get more like when I
- 11:07Speaker 3: show up to minigolf and Dave's like, I'm out of
- 11:08Speaker 3: Beer Olympics.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, and you call me on that, I'm like,
- 11:11Speaker 4: all right, dude.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Whatever, Yeah, we got a we got a full core pressure. Yeah,
- 11:15Speaker 3: Dave back in Beer Olympics. He's texted he said he's
- 11:17Speaker 3: quadruple down that he's out.
- 11:19Speaker 4: So and the thing too is like we were wrong,
- 11:22Speaker 4: Like we were wrong mostly I was wrong, like I
- 11:25Speaker 4: handled it horribly. But when I'm going peek back there
- 11:29Speaker 4: and I'm like, man, I can't believe this is like
- 11:30Speaker 4: this has still got to be talked about. This much
- 11:33Speaker 4: like we messed up. We're trying to do better. But
- 11:35Speaker 4: it's like human beings are the only creatures in the
- 11:38Speaker 4: entire world that'll beat themselves up after making a mistake.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Dog shits in the house, You put your dog's nose
- 11:43Speaker 4: in it, dog goes back to being a dog.
- 11:45Speaker 3: It's over.
- 11:46Speaker 6: Depends only how hard you hit him.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Yeah, no question, that is true. It depends. I don't
- 11:50Speaker 3: know life you're living, but not me. Not me.
- 11:52Speaker 4: Human beings just constantly beat yourself up, beat yourself up.
- 11:54Speaker 4: I think you and I do a good job when
- 11:56Speaker 4: we do mess up. David Buster's being a good example.
- 11:58Speaker 4: We have a lot of examples. But actually in the
- 12:00Speaker 4: football world, when we mess up, you look at it,
- 12:03Speaker 4: you navigate it, You're like, okay, where do we go wrong,
- 12:05Speaker 4: and then you try to recorrect and course correct. But
- 12:08Speaker 4: then it's really hard sometimes when people are like, but
- 12:10Speaker 4: you did this, but you did this, but you did this.
- 12:12Speaker 4: And that's how it felt to me a little bit
- 12:13Speaker 4: when I was like, you know, twenty three days in
- 12:16Speaker 4: to being in Mexico and I peep behind the curtain
- 12:18Speaker 4: again once again not getting contacts, and it's like these guys, yoh,
- 12:23Speaker 4: I was like we're trying our beat sound.
- 12:25Speaker 3: One of those things like if we're in like we're
- 12:28Speaker 3: getting coached and ball because we're obviously getting critiqued literally
- 12:30Speaker 3: every day, whether it's talk to coach, trdcusted out, coach softly,
- 12:34Speaker 3: whatever it is. It's not like when you do make
- 12:37Speaker 3: a good play, your coach also follows up with, hey,
- 12:40Speaker 3: but remember when you fuck this play up, don't do
- 12:42Speaker 3: it again. Yeah, You're like, damn, I can't even enjoy
- 12:44Speaker 3: like that. That was like in the world of the internet,
- 12:47Speaker 3: it's like people hold on. People will hold on and
- 12:50Speaker 3: remind you, like if you make a good play, another
- 12:52Speaker 3: bad one comes where you make good one and be like, oh,
- 12:55Speaker 3: you know, but Taylor he bailed, he's out.
- 12:57Speaker 6: I know them.
- 12:59Speaker 4: I just time I saw like a Taylor bailed, I
- 13:01Speaker 4: was like, there was a piece of me that kind
- 13:03Speaker 4: of hit me.
- 13:03Speaker 3: And I was like, damn, dude, I didn't they all
- 13:06Speaker 3: see some comments. I'm like, fuck, I know he's probably
- 13:08Speaker 3: seeing these and it just blows.
- 13:10Speaker 4: It just sucks because you do like I did, Like,
- 13:12Speaker 4: how many conversations do we have be like hey, I
- 13:14Speaker 4: don't want to make sure I'm not.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Letting you down.
- 13:16Speaker 4: I'm a best friend. I want to make sure you're
- 13:18Speaker 4: cool with this, and all these conversations over and over again,
- 13:20Speaker 4: and then you see it and you're like, here come
- 13:22Speaker 4: the insecurities. We're right down the barrel, and it's just
- 13:26Speaker 4: kind of like, ah, fuck, dude.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Jack had a good point. Did we talk about on
- 13:30Speaker 3: the episode? It wasn't more like a team meeting. We're
- 13:33Speaker 3: you bring up the point of, like, you know, when
- 13:35Speaker 3: we do pivots, like there's been times where whether it's
- 13:38Speaker 3: from it it's from the knee, or something's gotta shake
- 13:40Speaker 3: up training wise, I gotta go train here, or when
- 13:43Speaker 3: you're hey, I'm gonna do the podcast, a game happens, Okay,
- 13:46Speaker 3: let's not. We'll go solo dolo like all the times
- 13:49Speaker 3: we kind of handle it.
- 13:50Speaker 7: Oh talking about when he was in football.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Right right, either of us doing anything.
- 13:54Speaker 7: I think as like a fan's perspective. When you were
- 13:57Speaker 7: full time in the NFL playing same here. You have
- 14:00Speaker 7: been ait of the doubt too, when you had six
- 14:02Speaker 7: months to take off. That was what you had to do.
- 14:05Speaker 7: Now that I don't know what you're playing with football,
- 14:08Speaker 7: let's just say for hypothetically, hypothetically you're done. That means
- 14:14Speaker 7: that this is now your number one priority. So the
- 14:17Speaker 7: fans are not going to give you as much leash
- 14:20Speaker 7: anymore on missing stuff. So I think right now is
- 14:23Speaker 7: a great opportunity, even though you might not believe it,
- 14:27Speaker 7: but to apologize for our fans for not being here
- 14:29Speaker 7: for the last month.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Have I sent the last Hey, I think it's been
- 14:33Speaker 4: a little bit of a back and forth. Oh okay,
- 14:35Speaker 4: if there's been zero clarity, you're actually right.
- 14:38Speaker 7: I just know that there's some fans. I just think
- 14:41Speaker 7: there's fans out there that are like yelling into their
- 14:43Speaker 7: fucking speakers, like come on, like just say you're fucking
- 14:47Speaker 7: sorry one time.
- 14:48Speaker 3: So and that's not me, No, Jack, Yeah, he was
- 14:53Speaker 3: bringing up you were saying, do you want me to cano?
- 14:55Speaker 3: Do you want me to do it? Hey? Hey, I apologize.
- 14:58Speaker 7: Hey, it's all good.
- 14:59Speaker 3: I'm faking. I'm fin thinking of the south Park episode
- 15:02Speaker 3: where the dudes like bending down over the desk. He's like,
- 15:04Speaker 3: go ahead, kiss.
- 15:05Speaker 4: It, apologize busing fans. I know I've spent the last
- 15:12Speaker 4: fourteen minutes on here explaining the thought process of how
- 15:15Speaker 4: everything went. I want you guys to know that never
- 15:18Speaker 4: have I ever tried to slight any of you one
- 15:21Speaker 4: way or another. And I have never intentionally tried to
- 15:24Speaker 4: hurt any of you people by taking myself off of
- 15:27Speaker 4: the bus or hurting this brand by going to do
- 15:30Speaker 4: something completely different than I've ever done in my entire life.
- 15:32Speaker 4: And for that, I am so sorry. I feel like
- 15:36Speaker 4: seeing the backlash and seeing everything I've really let you
- 15:38Speaker 4: guys down in ways that I didn't know I was
- 15:41Speaker 4: letting you down, And that is a horrible feeling, because
- 15:45Speaker 4: sometimes you just go through life and you don't realize
- 15:47Speaker 4: some of the people you might be hurting along the way.
- 15:49Speaker 4: And if I hurt any of you by not being
- 15:51Speaker 4: on this bus and not being around the boys, I
- 15:54Speaker 4: am so sorry. I could have handled it better, and
- 15:57Speaker 4: in the future I will handle it better. If other
- 15:59Speaker 4: things happen I do leave for a couple of weeks,
- 16:01Speaker 4: I will make sure and tell you the moment it's
- 16:03Speaker 4: even a possibility that it happens, and be completely transparent
- 16:07Speaker 4: with you.
- 16:07Speaker 3: I love all of you. I'm very sorry. Big hugs
- 16:11Speaker 3: and tiny kisses.
- 16:14Speaker 8: That you're forgiven.
- 16:16Speaker 3: This episode is brought to you by Game Time. Did
- 16:20Speaker 3: you know that you could get tickets to any baseball game,

- 17:07Speaker 3: Jack went based on the game Time app but game Time.
- 17:11Speaker 6: The best dude.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Shane was solid.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Yeah, Shane was fun. Shane was a good time. Interesting
- 17:18Speaker 3: friendship with Shane.
- 17:19Speaker 4: He lets us know basically textas Friday, No, it was Saturday,
- 17:24Speaker 4: the day off, yep, Saturday, more Saturday, let's say twelve
- 17:27Speaker 4: thirty and he's like.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Brosan's coming to the show. Tonight.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Yeah, for tomorrow six pm, or he actually said seven
- 17:34Speaker 4: and ten, seven and ten pm. If you don't come,
- 17:38Speaker 4: I probably won't go to Beer Olympics. Yeah, bro, I
- 17:41Speaker 4: was like, I guess I'm going to the show.
- 17:44Speaker 3: We did go.
- 17:45Speaker 4: We went Sunday. We went to the six o'clock show
- 17:47Speaker 4: and ended up being six. They said it was seven,
- 17:49Speaker 4: but it was actually six after the barbecue, and it
- 17:52Speaker 4: was fantastic.
- 17:53Speaker 6: It was a really gouge show.
- 17:55Speaker 3: A lot of new material, yeah, that he's working through
- 17:57Speaker 3: right now, and it is.
- 17:59Speaker 6: It's funny.
- 17:59Speaker 4: It's interesting to see too because even after he's like,
- 18:02Speaker 4: I got like, what the first twenty minutes are solidified.
- 18:05Speaker 4: I feel good about the first twenty minutes. Everything else
- 18:08Speaker 4: is storytelling and trying to work stuff out. Yeah, And
- 18:10Speaker 4: it was interesting to see that, like after hearing him
- 18:14Speaker 4: say that and then reflecting back on the show like
- 18:16Speaker 4: the like him just and literally in front of a
- 18:18Speaker 4: sold out stadium working through jokes Ryman, Yeah, yeah, stadium,
- 18:23Speaker 4: the Ryman a historical church.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, I mean that's a going out there and
- 18:29Speaker 3: you see a couple levels like you were, like you're saying,
- 18:32Speaker 3: you reflect back and think of the times he is
- 18:34Speaker 3: kind of working through it because he does such a
- 18:35Speaker 3: great job playing with the crowd. Yeah, like the great Um,
- 18:38Speaker 3: you don't like that one, Okay, you guys, this was okay,
- 18:41Speaker 3: but that wasn't.
- 18:42Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah he did. He didn't like that one. Then
- 18:44Speaker 6: you're gonna think this next one was just all hate speech.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Yeah, so but it was. It was really good. The
- 18:48Speaker 3: boy was on. He's on, man, he's he's number one
- 18:50Speaker 3: in the world right now. I had to sit on
- 18:52Speaker 3: his text on Yian's coming to the show. If not,
- 18:54Speaker 3: I'm out of Beer Olympics because my own projectile ability
- 18:58Speaker 3: of thinking of the recent l's we've been taking. If
- 19:02Speaker 3: we lost Shane, they would be not only that, but
- 19:05Speaker 3: just the way like that. We're bros, and he's playing
- 19:07Speaker 3: with my heart and he doesn't understand everything that's kind
- 19:10Speaker 3: of sitting behind my heart at the moment. So when
- 19:13Speaker 3: he was saying that, kind of dangling it, and I'm
- 19:15Speaker 3: just thinking, like, bro, stop fucking around like this. Because
- 19:20Speaker 3: I had to call him. I had to call himlast
- 19:21Speaker 3: week because we're doing our Beer Olympics meetings, our Beer
- 19:24Speaker 3: Games Championship in the World. We're doing those meat, We're
- 19:26Speaker 3: doing those meetings and I see that he's one of
- 19:29Speaker 3: the only boxes kind of not checked, and he's kind
- 19:31Speaker 3: of one of the guys that, like, you know, we met,
- 19:33Speaker 3: like we want him there, like one of the core
- 19:35Speaker 3: guys that we went there. And I'm thinking, like, fuck,
- 19:37Speaker 3: he hasn't responded to, you know, barstool reaching out because
- 19:40Speaker 3: they're kind of handling all this stuff they wanted to do,
- 19:42Speaker 3: gift gift baskets and the whole deal. It's going to
- 19:45Speaker 3: be incredible. I say that he hasn't he hadn't responded,
- 19:48Speaker 3: and Lisa's like, hey, could you reach out? I was like, hey,
- 19:51Speaker 3: I'll reach out to Shane. And I'm just thinking, you know,
- 19:53Speaker 3: because you don't want to bug him. You don't want
- 19:55Speaker 3: to bother him because he's doing his thing. And we
- 19:57Speaker 3: obviously text back and forth like we're in our group
- 19:59Speaker 3: chats and everything else else. And so I just call
- 20:01Speaker 3: him and I was like, He's like, what's up, bro?
- 20:04Speaker 3: And I was like, guess where I'm at right now?
- 20:06Speaker 3: He's like where. I was like, I'm at a I'm
- 20:09Speaker 3: at a gun shop and I'm going to purchase one
- 20:12Speaker 3: and kill myself. If you don't commit or respond or
- 20:17Speaker 3: give us some type of answer if you can come
- 20:19Speaker 3: to beer Olympics or not, and he was like, we
- 20:22Speaker 3: sat there for saying and he goes do it, but
- 20:27Speaker 3: he's like, he's like, why why are you pressing me?
- 20:28Speaker 2: Why?
- 20:29Speaker 3: I'm like, bro, there's there's so much money going into
- 20:31Speaker 3: this thing, and everybody, everybody we want to take everybody.
- 20:34Speaker 3: We want to do it right. And are people everybody
- 20:36Speaker 3: that's working on it behind the scenes, they're trying to
- 20:38Speaker 3: get head counts and know who's going to be in
- 20:40Speaker 3: or out. And uh, he was talking, I don't wanna,
- 20:44Speaker 3: I don't wanna. I don't want to spoilers.
- 20:49Speaker 4: The last thing we're gonna do is put out any expectations.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Yeah, or put out expectations. Just put the pressure on
- 20:54Speaker 3: everybody else because the moment that you have backed out,
- 20:57Speaker 3: I'm throwing out lines. We're texting back and forth like
- 21:00Speaker 3: so and so might come. I see literally Quentin Nelson
- 21:02Speaker 3: up under the Travis Kelsey things, saying next man up
- 21:05Speaker 3: mentality with the eyes. So I immediately takes Quinton like, hey,
- 21:07Speaker 3: are you you trying to do it. I'm not gonna
- 21:09Speaker 3: confirm nor deny if quin Nelson might be coming, but yeah, bro,
- 21:14Speaker 3: I mean we're we're trying to get ours around it out.
- 21:16Speaker 6: It's going to be.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I'm telling you, this thing is going to be fucking awesome.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Uh.
- 21:21Speaker 3: But going back to the Shane thing, I had to
- 21:22Speaker 3: sit on the I'm like, all right, how how will
- 21:25Speaker 3: just take it? Take a moment? How are you gonna
- 21:27Speaker 3: respond to this? How are you going to take a breath?
- 21:29Speaker 3: He's putting this expectator? What are we finding out from
- 21:31Speaker 3: our bro that he is in Nashville currently without you know,
- 21:35Speaker 3: ahead of time part of me thanks, he's trying to
- 21:37Speaker 3: doesn't want to do too many podcasts, probably want to
- 21:39Speaker 3: come on the bus, which is fair. Yeah, but it
- 21:43Speaker 3: all worked out. We had a great time with the boy.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Got to meet Gary Clark, one of the.
- 21:49Speaker 6: Yes bro.
- 21:49Speaker 7: Yes, that's awesome.
- 21:51Speaker 4: Yeah, he was just chilling sitting in the I didn't
- 21:53Speaker 4: even know who it was, and he was.
- 21:55Speaker 3: He take me a minute too, and and Shane was like,
- 21:57Speaker 3: you know, it's Gary Clark, right, like one of the
- 21:59Speaker 3: greatest musician in the world, guitar player. And then by
- 22:02Speaker 3: the time I left, I was like, hey, bro, it's
- 22:04Speaker 3: so nice to meet you. I know my dad would
- 22:06Speaker 3: be so hype in my day. He what do you
- 22:09Speaker 3: call it? He dabbles a little bit in the play guitar,
- 22:11Speaker 3: and he loves guitar. What do you call it?
- 22:13Speaker 6: What's that thing that verslaying?
- 22:16Speaker 3: He slaps the bass, he slaps the guitar.
- 22:20Speaker 4: He plays the guitar, He rips the guitar.
- 22:23Speaker 6: He rips the guitar.
- 22:24Speaker 3: I'm not gonna that's no cap, bro, I'm telling you
- 22:26Speaker 3: my still kaking rips the guitar. Your dad does, yes, really,
- 22:31Speaker 3: matter of fact, next time he comes out, we need
- 22:33Speaker 3: to make him do it. Yeah, I will buy a
- 22:35Speaker 3: guitar and make sure his hands.
- 22:38Speaker 6: There's nothing you can do.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Now, I'll have it sitting in front of a case
- 22:41Speaker 4: of beer where he's got a he has to touch
- 22:43Speaker 4: the guitar just to get to the beer.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Nice chair, speaker that's already plugged in, tuned up guitar
- 22:47Speaker 3: will have like earner, somebody make sure it's tuned up,
- 22:50Speaker 3: and a thirty rack of bush lights sitting there like
- 22:52Speaker 3: nowhere to go down, and.
- 22:53Speaker 4: A whole bunch of chill yes, and a spittoon yes.
- 22:56Speaker 6: And he has to play. He has to play, has
- 22:58Speaker 6: to play. I need you guys to hear him.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Yeah, but that that Clark Gary Garry Clark, Clarkark dude.
- 23:03Speaker 4: So I didn't know really any about that at all.
- 23:06Speaker 4: And then you know, we found out. And in the
- 23:07Speaker 4: car ride home, JP, me, JP and Michael Chandler were
- 23:11Speaker 4: ripping on the way back to my spot and we
- 23:13Speaker 4: were playing it that dude can fucking shred and he
- 23:16Speaker 4: was just kind of chilling, like didn't care more, just
- 23:20Speaker 4: asked questions about Barslow. It's like, so was Barstol everywhere?
- 23:22Speaker 3: I was like, well, yeah, it's on the internet.
- 23:25Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 23:26Speaker 3: He's like, because we kept talking about Shane and brought
- 23:28Speaker 3: up Survivor and he we were talking through a couple
- 23:30Speaker 3: of other things, like when he had me shotgun high
- 23:33Speaker 3: noons on the on the stream with DraftKings, and since
- 23:37Speaker 3: we're sitting there talking about Barstool stuff, Gary was like,
- 23:40Speaker 3: so is Barstool just everywhere? And Taylor Taylor looks. Evan's like,
- 23:45Speaker 3: it's on the internet. Yeah, it's everywhere. He's like no, no, no,
- 23:48Speaker 3: He's like, I mean, is there a place that everybody goes?
- 23:51Speaker 3: But no, it was It was sick to me.
- 23:53Speaker 6: And what you got there?
- 23:56Speaker 3: I got a couple of I got a couple of
- 23:59Speaker 3: espressos in right.
- 23:59Speaker 7: Now, I have a Shane story.
- 24:01Speaker 6: Yeah, because you went on Saturday.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:03Speaker 7: So I messaged him on Instagram on Saturday with no
- 24:06Speaker 7: intention of getting tickets, and I was just like, good
- 24:09Speaker 7: luck your shows this weekend, not even think he's gonna
- 24:12Speaker 7: see the message or respond. He responds like five minutes
- 24:15Speaker 7: he's like, come through tonight if you want. I had
- 24:17Speaker 7: four friends in town. I was like, I really appreciate that.
- 24:20Speaker 7: But I was like, I have a bunch of friends
- 24:21Speaker 7: in like day of show. I don't want to be
- 24:23Speaker 7: the guy asking for five tickets, so not a big deal.
- 24:26Speaker 7: And he's like it's all good, bro. He's like we
- 24:28Speaker 7: can like make that work. Blah blah blah. He's like,
- 24:31Speaker 7: it's five tickets, right, And then I had miscounted one
- 24:33Speaker 7: of my friends had also brought a friends. I was like,
- 24:35Speaker 7: it's actually six. But I was like, seriously, not a
- 24:37Speaker 7: big deal, Like it is too much, and he's like,
- 24:40Speaker 7: what's your email? I'm gonna find it. And this is
- 24:42Speaker 7: like four pm on Saturday. So I was like, guys, like,
- 24:45Speaker 7: if y'all want to go to the show a like
- 24:46Speaker 7: nine thirty tonight, I think we can do it. So
- 24:49Speaker 7: we're all fired up, and by the time it's like
- 24:51Speaker 7: eight forty five rolls around, I'm like, he's still in
- 24:54Speaker 7: his seven o'clock show. He just never hit me back.
- 24:58Speaker 7: And I had gotten all the p will hype this.
- 25:02Speaker 7: I thought you went, yes, because and now I'm hearing
- 25:05Speaker 7: JP went last night and now my egos.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Oh damn, I'm sorry, bro, and it hurts. I thought
- 25:11Speaker 3: you went because when I took a minute to response
- 25:14Speaker 3: to shitting calls, He's like, hey, I know you guys
- 25:16Speaker 3: are coming, and it was kind of like giving me
- 25:18Speaker 3: a run around. He's like, your boy Jack's coming to night.
- 25:20Speaker 3: And then I did a little like, hey, make sure
- 25:22Speaker 3: you tell him not to post a lot, and he's like, oh,
- 25:23Speaker 3: that's what you guys got him for, blah blah blah.
- 25:25Speaker 6: So we were joking, but I thought you went that
- 25:27Speaker 6: night because I not.
- 25:29Speaker 3: I mean, Mitch, I know we didn't necessarily, I'm thinking
- 25:32Speaker 3: in my head Spring tour interviews.
- 25:36Speaker 6: You have to get them done.
- 25:38Speaker 3: It's a fair statement.
- 25:39Speaker 6: You got my family when did they leave?
- 25:44Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean reason too, saying Jack about have
- 25:50Speaker 3: known you didn't go.
- 25:52Speaker 7: I'm not like, if anything, I felt really bad for
- 25:55Speaker 7: my friends.
- 25:56Speaker 3: In town because you got him hyped up.
- 25:57Speaker 7: Well, there was a moment in time where I was like,
- 25:59Speaker 7: it's Shane gillis like sold out. I saw tickets going
- 26:02Speaker 7: for twelve hundred dollars at the rhyming on Saturday, So
- 26:05Speaker 7: I was like, So, I was like the fact that
- 26:06Speaker 7: I'm even like asking for six tickets it feels a
- 26:09Speaker 7: little scummy. And I know he doesn't feel that way.
- 26:12Speaker 7: It was nice enough for him to respond at all.
- 26:14Speaker 7: But like at some point when he was like, dude,
- 26:16Speaker 7: what's your email? I was like, guys, we're fucking in
- 26:20Speaker 7: Like they were fucking fired up. They're like, why is
- 26:23Speaker 7: Shane messaging you? And I'm like, dude, it's just a
- 26:25Speaker 7: friend of work. Like and then then by the end
- 26:28Speaker 7: of the night, I had to just fucking lay on
- 26:30Speaker 7: my sword and I was I wasn't mad at all.
- 26:33Speaker 7: I was just like, my ego is so bruised.
- 26:36Speaker 3: I was like, bro, no doubt because you got everybody.
- 26:39Speaker 7: Yeah, and they were like like the girls were like
- 26:40Speaker 7: we don't give a ship, like we don't know Shane
- 26:43Speaker 7: really and I was like this everything. Oh, it was
- 26:46Speaker 7: like four girls and two guys.
- 26:48Speaker 4: I was like, man, they probably went.
- 26:52Speaker 7: This situation in Oregon. So yeah, but it's I'm glad
- 26:57Speaker 7: I heard all the shows went well. I had a
- 26:59Speaker 7: bunch of friends who actually bought tickets and said that
- 27:02Speaker 7: did was THEO there on Sunday night opening? Was that
- 27:05Speaker 7: just Saturday?
- 27:06Speaker 3: I think.
- 27:08Speaker 6: Stories you did like a.
- 27:09Speaker 7: Fifteen minute opener for the both sets on Saturday.
- 27:12Speaker 6: Oh really?
- 27:13Speaker 7: Yeah, but that's all I really know about.
- 27:15Speaker 4: It, dude. I was gonna say during your story, I
- 27:19Speaker 4: was literally thinking to myself because I thought that at
- 27:21Speaker 4: the end of story you were going to get the
- 27:22Speaker 4: tickets and go that is the best possible way you
- 27:26Speaker 4: could ask somebody for tickets. Sure, Hey, man, I got
- 27:29Speaker 4: five people with me. Don't worry about it. Just want
- 27:31Speaker 4: to let you know, hope you crush it.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what that is.
- 27:34Speaker 4: You give them the number, Yeah, you give it, You
- 27:36Speaker 4: give them everything, and then you just let them kind
- 27:38Speaker 4: of do the thing without saying can I have tickets?
- 27:40Speaker 7: I know now, I'm like, there's still like an unread
- 27:42Speaker 7: message between me and Shane that at some point down
- 27:45Speaker 7: the road he will probably see and be like probably
- 27:48Speaker 7: like not acknowledge it, and I don't want it to
- 27:50Speaker 7: be like him. Think I'm upset about it.
- 27:52Speaker 3: Oh, you gotta check him.
- 27:53Speaker 4: As soon as you see him. You got as soon
- 27:57Speaker 4: as you see him, you got to say something.
- 27:59Speaker 7: No, I'm just four shows that the rhyme and is
- 28:02Speaker 7: a big deal. So I think that's really.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Cool, big time dude.
- 28:05Speaker 4: I had a situation when I was in Mexico a
- 28:07Speaker 4: bunch of the offensive linement from Michigan.
- 28:10Speaker 3: They hit me up.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Ziner hit me up and he's like, Yo, Shane Gillis,
- 28:14Speaker 4: he's gonna be in sagging on Michigan. We gotta go.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Can we go? Can you talk to him? Give it
- 28:18Speaker 3: to you?
- 28:19Speaker 4: Like just blatantly asking me. And it's the same thing
- 28:22Speaker 4: like any of our boys that does something that where
- 28:25Speaker 4: you have to purchase tickets to go see them. I
- 28:27Speaker 4: always get uncomfortable about being like, hey, these people want
- 28:30Speaker 4: to see you, do you mind letting them in? And
- 28:33Speaker 4: so I kind of put it off for a minute,
- 28:34Speaker 4: but shout out Ziner. Dude. He was shameless about it.
- 28:37Speaker 4: He just kept asking and asking, and I was like,
- 28:39Speaker 4: I'll ask him. So I text Shane. He's like, no problem,
- 28:42Speaker 4: loves the big boys, boys, big boys. So I had
- 28:45Speaker 4: him up and then it was like the day of
- 28:48Speaker 4: and my service was so bad all day. So I'm
- 28:50Speaker 4: like sporadically getting messages from Ziner and Keegan these dudes,
- 28:53Speaker 4: and I think they're like six dudes with them total,
- 28:56Speaker 4: and uh, they end up getting to the show. They
- 29:00Speaker 4: end up getting to the show and they're like in
- 29:03Speaker 4: the show and they're like, we want to meet him,
- 29:06Speaker 4: Like how do we go meet him after this? And
- 29:07Speaker 4: I was like, you should have passes, Like they should
- 29:10Speaker 4: have given you guys a pass. H we don't have anything,
- 29:12Speaker 4: Like can you text him? I'm like is he on
- 29:14Speaker 4: stage right now?
- 29:15Speaker 3: And they're like yeah.
- 29:16Speaker 4: I was like, then he's not going to answer a text.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Like what are you talking about? Like, but just young
- 29:21Speaker 3: cates later, dude, twenty minutes later, I get a FaceTime
- 29:24Speaker 3: from Shane. He's with all the boys. Oh he just
- 29:26Speaker 3: let's go.
- 29:27Speaker 4: It's the pan. He's like, got the big boys with me,
- 29:30Speaker 4: got the big guy.
- 29:31Speaker 3: You know he was in heaven. Yeah.
- 29:33Speaker 4: They apparently they cut it up that night too. So
- 29:35Speaker 4: that was a big, a big win for my boys
- 29:38Speaker 4: in Michigan, my national champion.
- 29:40Speaker 8: Oh so.
- 29:42Speaker 3: I had Levis text and ask like, Hey, could you
- 29:46Speaker 3: connect me with Shane maybe going to one of his
- 29:50Speaker 3: shows and I was either on the move or something,
- 29:52Speaker 3: but I felt kind of like, you.
- 29:55Speaker 6: Know, no, yeah, not not nobody.
- 30:00Speaker 3: It made me. I didn't feel like at that moment,
- 30:02Speaker 3: I wasn't like I didn't want to again hit up
- 30:04Speaker 3: Shane like hey, do you mind if I give your number,
- 30:07Speaker 3: you know, to Will and stuff like that. I don't
- 30:09Speaker 3: think he would have cared. I think so too, yeah,
- 30:13Speaker 3: just because yeah, he's football guy. But for whatever reason,
- 30:15Speaker 3: I was on the move, so I was kind of
- 30:16Speaker 3: like fleeting in my brain and I forgot about it.
- 30:18Speaker 3: And then a couple of days later, like Will comes
- 30:19Speaker 3: back right and he's like, hey, all good bro. I
- 30:21Speaker 3: ended up getting in touch with I'm like, oh fuck,
- 30:24Speaker 3: I should have looked out for the it is because
- 30:28Speaker 3: I haven't done it before, and I don't want to,
- 30:30Speaker 3: Like it's like you don't want to sit there and
- 30:33Speaker 3: feel it at any point you're you're ever trying to
- 30:36Speaker 3: take advantage of one of your boys, especially like you said,
- 30:38Speaker 3: like when it's not you going like when it's not
- 30:41Speaker 3: you doing it.
- 30:42Speaker 4: But even like I I like it when one of
- 30:45Speaker 4: my boys is like, hey, so and so is trying
- 30:46Speaker 4: to get ahold of you?
- 30:47Speaker 3: Can I give them your number.
- 30:48Speaker 4: Yeah, And I'm like, yeah, I appreciate it. It's it's
- 30:50Speaker 4: always going to be yes, for sure, it's always going
- 30:52Speaker 4: to be yes. But just that little extra mile for
- 30:55Speaker 4: me is nice.
- 30:55Speaker 3: And it's like it's just a little.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Something, right, But you kind of like you just don't
- 31:00Speaker 4: want to give out people's.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Numb and too if you're not like, say, you haven't
- 31:04Speaker 3: texted with him in a while, you know what I mean?
- 31:06Speaker 3: And yeah, one text is like you're asking for some right.
- 31:09Speaker 3: The only person I honestly I don't really think a
- 31:12Speaker 3: whole a second effort about it is jelly Roll, because
- 31:15Speaker 3: I'm like, yo, jelly Roll, jelly Roll, take care of
- 31:18Speaker 3: anybody and everybody. Yes, I'm not saying the other guys wouldn't,
- 31:22Speaker 3: but I just know if Jelly Roll, if he happens
- 31:24Speaker 3: to see your message, because he doesn't check his phone
- 31:25Speaker 3: very often.
- 31:26Speaker 4: He has fourteen hundred text messages unread on his one bro.
- 31:30Speaker 3: I had a couple of my boys from back home
- 31:33Speaker 3: that I was in high school with homies and they're like, Hey,
- 31:36Speaker 3: we're going to the Jelly Roll concert in Saint Louis.
- 31:38Speaker 3: You think you could get us a couple of tickets,
- 31:39Speaker 3: and I text Jelly like, hey, could you get these guys.
- 31:41Speaker 3: Whether their nosebleeds really doesn't matter if you just get
- 31:44Speaker 3: them just to go see one of those things. I
- 31:46Speaker 3: ain't want to.
- 31:47Speaker 6: I don't want to.
- 31:47Speaker 3: It's like you don't want to take a mile when
- 31:49Speaker 3: you feel like your boy's kind of giving you something.
- 31:50Speaker 6: Yeah, saying hey if.
- 31:51Speaker 3: You if anybody ever wants to come, like, let me know,
- 31:53Speaker 3: I'll take care of them. And I get a photo
- 31:55Speaker 3: the boys are backstage with them fucking getting high. You
- 31:58Speaker 3: gave them Jelly, You gave m Jelly World's number. No, no, no.
- 32:01Speaker 3: I end up going back and forth with Jelly Joe.
- 32:03Speaker 3: It's like, oh yeah, let me know their names. I'll
- 32:04Speaker 3: get him fully taken care of them. I think I
- 32:05Speaker 3: connected him with one of his people. But then I
- 32:08Speaker 3: get a photo and they're like they're hitting a blunt
- 32:11Speaker 3: with them in the Dude, that is so that is
- 32:15Speaker 3: so sick. That really is all time, man. Yeah, yeah, no,
- 32:20Speaker 3: you want to hit the Uh we got some drafts? Yeah, dude, the.
- 32:23Speaker 4: A two game preseason is in the books and it's fun.
- 32:31Speaker 6: No, you're dead, you read the right things.
- 32:33Speaker 3: We're good laughing.
- 32:35Speaker 7: I just I just thought of something funny.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Sorry, go ahead, and I'm literally only laughing two game.

- 33:54Speaker 3: I said a two. I don't know if you did, because, uh,
- 33:59Speaker 3: Jack if it's almost like when you see somebody yawning,
- 34:01Speaker 3: you just hit a yawn.
- 34:02Speaker 4: Yeah, so I just joined it. I had to get
- 34:07Speaker 4: a part of that, but yeah, I did. Good weekend
- 34:09Speaker 4: also anniversary weekend, we had that little barbecue before for
- 34:13Speaker 4: Michael Chandler celebrating him getting his big fight with Connor McGregor.
- 34:15Speaker 3: I'm sure you guys talked about that already. Yeah, yeah,
- 34:18Speaker 3: I think so, Yeah, because yeah, we talked about it
- 34:20Speaker 3: the week after the announcement. Obviously we're ready for that
- 34:23Speaker 3: boy though. Yeah, get in that octagon with Connor McGregor.
- 34:27Speaker 4: Well, I have to do the same thing we did
- 34:28Speaker 4: for two ninety nine. What was that go interview the
- 34:31Speaker 4: boys talk.
- 34:32Speaker 3: To Mike sit down. Could you imagine that would be
- 34:38Speaker 3: nuts getting an interview Chandler?
- 34:40Speaker 4: Yeah, that would be crazy, dude.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Will was telling me about it a little bit. Oregon
- 34:48Speaker 4: fun fact about organ that was a school that I
- 34:50Speaker 4: legitimately wanted to go to like I was going. I
- 34:53Speaker 4: wanted to go to Orgon and commit to Orgon because
- 34:55Speaker 4: that was like the height of their Nike uniforms. And
- 34:57Speaker 4: when I got offered by them, I was like, done,
- 35:00Speaker 4: We're going to Oregon, boys, that's what we're doing.
- 35:01Speaker 6: So you got you had organ.
- 35:03Speaker 3: I had Orgon. Yeah. So my dad had this thing.
- 35:06Speaker 4: He's like, hey, I want to go to all the uh,
- 35:08Speaker 4: I'm gonna do the official visits with you, blah blah blah.
- 35:10Speaker 4: Like he was kind of like his way being like
- 35:11Speaker 4: we're going to work this out together type thing. But
- 35:13Speaker 4: every time Oregon came up about going to see them,
- 35:17Speaker 4: there was always some sort.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Of travel conflicts with him. Could never make it.
- 35:20Speaker 4: And then I went to Minnesota, and I almost committed
- 35:23Speaker 4: to Minnesota because you know me, I'm a honeymoon faced
- 35:24Speaker 4: type of guy. I'll just jump in quick.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:28Speaker 4: I was like, I'm gonna be a Gopher. I wasn't
- 35:30Speaker 4: a Gopher. And then I went to Michigan and I
- 35:32Speaker 4: was like yeah, because that's when the whole Jake Long
- 35:34Speaker 4: thing was going down and all that. Well, I mean yeah,
- 35:37Speaker 4: so I never took a visit to Oregon. But I
- 35:39Speaker 4: bet the flashy lights would have gotten bro.
- 35:41Speaker 6: I mean, it's they got some nice facilities.
- 35:44Speaker 4: Can you rank your top five spots that we've ever
- 35:47Speaker 4: been to?
- 35:47Speaker 3: I can.
- 35:48Speaker 6: If we have a list of where we've been, can you.
- 35:53Speaker 4: Be better than uh, who's got better facilities? Legit, jaz
- 35:58Speaker 4: let me ask somebody else.
- 36:01Speaker 3: Really, here's here's why the way Orgon looks now organ
- 36:04Speaker 3: I would says number two, but the way Oregon looks
- 36:07Speaker 3: at this current moment. They've had those facilities since like
- 36:11Speaker 3: what twenty thirteen.
- 36:13Speaker 7: Yeah, they said the new ones that they're starting, like
- 36:15Speaker 7: the concept plans of it will be done in like
- 36:17Speaker 7: four or five years. So when that happens, that's going
- 36:19Speaker 7: to be.
- 36:22Speaker 6: Like an Iron Man movie.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Literally they have iron facilities. Like you could just tell
- 36:27Speaker 3: that they're so far ahead, like tech wise and everything else.
- 36:29Speaker 3: And with Nike they got so many cool things. Yeah,
- 36:32Speaker 3: they have so many in the The the look of it,
- 36:36Speaker 3: oh yeah, I think so.
- 36:37Speaker 6: Did you already have.
- 36:39Speaker 3: The look of it is just like it's slick, bro.
- 36:43Speaker 3: It's so clean, yeah, like modern look, but like an
- 36:47Speaker 3: athletic modern look.
- 36:48Speaker 4: I know it sounds fucking and athletic models.
- 36:53Speaker 3: It makes sense though, you like walk outside and every
- 36:55Speaker 3: buildings like black, and they got like this fountain in
- 36:58Speaker 3: the middle to where when all the players walk through
- 37:00Speaker 3: and they talk about how the game day experience, like
- 37:02Speaker 3: there'll be a bunch of fans out there grilling out
- 37:03Speaker 3: and everything else.
- 37:04Speaker 6: But it's just it's sick.
- 37:07Speaker 3: And they obviously got all the gear, all the sports
- 37:09Speaker 3: science stuff that you love, like the Nord boards, but
- 37:11Speaker 3: they got force plate stuff for absolutely everything. They have
- 37:14Speaker 3: a specific sport performance like science area. It's inside the
- 37:19Speaker 3: Marcus Mariota Performance Center. God, the you know the question, bro,
- 37:24Speaker 3: He's the only Higsman trophy, only hes So they have
- 37:26Speaker 3: the Heisman trophy like sitting looking gorgeous and having like
- 37:30Speaker 3: all of his all of his background kind of written
- 37:32Speaker 3: around the trophy like below it and then behind it
- 37:36Speaker 3: is they have what looks like places to sit, but
- 37:38Speaker 3: it's the islands of Hawaii that surround it. So him
- 37:43Speaker 3: being the only winner, he is the man there.
- 37:46Speaker 7: It's like a whole section of the building that's just
- 37:48Speaker 7: like the Marcus Mariota Hall. It's just like you look
- 37:51Speaker 7: up in the ceiling. When you look at it from
- 37:54Speaker 7: your eyes, you don't see anything and if you look
- 37:56Speaker 7: through it through your camera, it's like his face what. Yes,
- 38:00Speaker 7: that hard to describe. So you have a video that
- 38:03Speaker 7: we can put an overlay, probably on my phone I
- 38:06Speaker 7: can show you later. But yeah, it's just like you
- 38:08Speaker 7: can tell he's their golden boy. I think these are
- 38:11Speaker 7: all the places we've been. I might be missing one,
- 38:15Speaker 7: but that is your you can rank for sure the
- 38:18Speaker 7: best of the best around there.
- 38:21Speaker 3: So I would say what sucks is we didn't get
- 38:24Speaker 3: to see all of Texas.
- 38:26Speaker 7: And the whole water bottle gate.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Yeah, water bottle game was tough. That's the only place
- 38:31Speaker 3: we've been to where we weren't able to get a
- 38:33Speaker 3: bottle of water.
- 38:36Speaker 4: Straight shooters there in Austin. Yeah, straight shooters.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Yeah, because I told but even who was shown us around,
- 38:43Speaker 3: I was like, hey, Nate, I'd get a bottle of water.
- 38:45Speaker 3: He said, yeah, go ahead, and I looked at the
- 38:46Speaker 3: cameras like he passed. It's true.
- 38:49Speaker 4: Yeah, it's become a benchmark, a small box to check,
- 38:52Speaker 4: but a box nonetheless.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I mean you want everybody and again Texas
- 38:56Speaker 3: they took they took care of us when we were
- 38:58Speaker 3: out there to certain point. But you you want to
- 39:02Speaker 3: see like people that are welcoming and just insane host
- 39:05Speaker 3: to us. You remember that, You remember like how they
- 39:08Speaker 3: made you and the boys feel, not only us, but
- 39:10Speaker 3: how they how they take care of the guys behind us.
- 39:12Speaker 4: And Texas was they were like inviting, they were they
- 39:16Speaker 4: were showing us stuff, but they just didn't show us
- 39:18Speaker 4: everything like some places like Nebraska, Michigan. I don't know
- 39:23Speaker 4: how Tennessee. I actually been to Tennessee.
- 39:27Speaker 7: I mean they just they just finished those new ones
- 39:30Speaker 7: that we they were talking about with like the whole
- 39:33Speaker 7: car Wash, and a lot of these programs are adapting
- 39:35Speaker 7: we put the pads on.
- 39:36Speaker 4: But I'm talking about hospitality.
- 39:38Speaker 7: Hospitality.
- 39:39Speaker 3: Yeah, Tennessee's up there. I mean I feel like Nebraska, Michigan,
- 39:43Speaker 3: South Carolina. But on the side, it's like we're like
- 39:46Speaker 3: they're South Carolina. We're like their sons. Like you and
- 39:50Speaker 3: Michigan meet and Nebraska they are just saying like they'll
- 39:52Speaker 3: they'll let you do that.
- 39:53Speaker 4: Guys, you're gonna go crazier with that comment. Oh where
- 39:56Speaker 4: they're God, no, what's this man about?
- 39:59Speaker 3: The say?
- 40:00Speaker 4: Oh no, oh yeah, yeah you got it. You got
- 40:02Speaker 4: those out the window. Georgia. I thought they were really
- 40:05Speaker 4: hospitable too, and I was at awesome. Yeah, me and
- 40:08Speaker 4: the guys started going back at it a couple of times.
- 40:10Speaker 4: You twenty twelve, right, played Georgia had to pick against
- 40:13Speaker 4: them pick six.
- 40:13Speaker 6: Yeah, they call them the New Year's Eve six.
- 40:16Speaker 4: Yeah, that's why they got so changed it. Yeah, that's
- 40:19Speaker 4: changed at all.
- 40:21Speaker 3: But even they were great too. Florida State was really accommodating.
- 40:24Speaker 4: How about their fog.
- 40:25Speaker 3: It was awesome.
- 40:27Speaker 7: As user a little bit dated. They're yeating new stuff,
- 40:30Speaker 7: but it almost gives like, I don't know, it's like
- 40:34Speaker 7: it works even though it's kind of dated. You almost
- 40:36Speaker 7: like it's.
- 40:37Speaker 3: One of those things where you just you know that
- 40:39Speaker 3: Florida State they are a squad now, but growing up,
- 40:42Speaker 3: like you just the seminole, the arrow on the helmet.
- 40:45Speaker 3: You just have this idea of Florida State, and even
- 40:48Speaker 3: though it's a little dated, it goes.
- 40:50Speaker 6: It makes sense, similar to like a Notre Dame.
- 40:52Speaker 3: I'm not saying they're dated or it's similar to Notre Dame,
- 40:55Speaker 3: but it's like Notre Dame has like it's like, yo,
- 40:57Speaker 3: you know you're at Notre Dame. I feel like in
- 40:58Speaker 3: Florida State, it was like that kind of feeling as well,
- 41:01Speaker 3: but not like the new tech all the new facilities stuff.
- 41:03Speaker 3: They don't have all they don't have all those bells
- 41:05Speaker 3: and whistles yet. The sick locker room, real cool locker.
- 41:08Speaker 4: Room, Yeah, Florida State's got that feels like a smaller,
- 41:11Speaker 4: like grittier vine.
- 41:13Speaker 6: Yes, smaller weight room.
- 41:14Speaker 3: Like you walk in, you immediately smell all the rubber,
- 41:16Speaker 3: all the plates, everything like that, like you do most
- 41:18Speaker 3: locker or like you do most weight rooms. But it's
- 41:20Speaker 3: like a smaller one. I feel like it might be
- 41:22Speaker 3: football only.
- 41:23Speaker 7: They had the volleyball girls saying corrected on that, but.
- 41:27Speaker 3: I would say, I mean, I think you still got
- 41:31Speaker 3: I think you still got us at the top.
- 41:33Speaker 6: Would you say Oregon's better than Michigan, I don't think.
- 41:35Speaker 7: Facility wise, Yeah, I would say Michigan's locker room is better.
- 41:39Speaker 3: Really because they're locker the lit room we saw because
- 41:42Speaker 3: they're building the new one at Oregon.
- 41:44Speaker 4: Yeah, Michigan's locker room was like the one thing that
- 41:46Speaker 4: we were kind of like, eh, because that was the
- 41:48Speaker 4: their locker rooms busin there.
- 41:49Speaker 7: Since Yeah, I was there, I thought that they just
- 41:51Speaker 7: redid that locker room.
- 41:53Speaker 3: No.
- 41:53Speaker 7: At Michigan.
- 41:55Speaker 4: LSU was the one that was like, LSU is sick.
- 42:00Speaker 7: Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, that's my mistake. The weight
- 42:03Speaker 7: room in Michigan is say not locker room.
- 42:05Speaker 4: The weight room is room.
- 42:07Speaker 7: Michigan to me is better than Organs. Also, they didn't
- 42:13Speaker 7: I think a lot because remember we I don't know
- 42:15Speaker 7: if we want to talk about it or like we
- 42:17Speaker 7: can cut this. But they didn't want us to film
- 42:19Speaker 7: in the like the locker room.
- 42:20Speaker 3: Oh but they only didn't want us to film because
- 42:22Speaker 3: they were at practice. So you know, players are being
- 42:25Speaker 3: the boys were being boys or stuff stuff everywhere.
- 42:28Speaker 4: Still check the hospitality, Bob.
- 42:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I would have loved to have done in just
- 42:31Speaker 3: really preface like hey this is the like, this is
- 42:33Speaker 3: this is what the law. These are what locker rooms
- 42:35Speaker 3: look like. Boys are practice. You got shoes by lockers
- 42:38Speaker 3: like the boys were at practice. So they were like, hey,
- 42:40Speaker 3: it's dirty. We don't want you guys to which I
- 42:42Speaker 3: totally get. But I would say, if you push aside
- 42:45Speaker 3: in Nebraska, Michigan, I would say LSU then Organ Yeah.
- 42:49Speaker 7: I really liked l s U.
- 42:51Speaker 4: L s U was like you put LSU over Oregon.
- 42:55Speaker 6: They're man they're different.
- 42:57Speaker 7: If we could see the track facility, I think it
- 42:59Speaker 7: would have been complete.
- 43:00Speaker 6: Yea, the organ yeah, the Organ.
- 43:02Speaker 7: But the people at Oregon were just top to bottom
- 43:05Speaker 7: from facilities to just like restaurant waitresses.
- 43:08Speaker 3: To the rental car gal just so the airport.
- 43:12Speaker 7: Unbelievably nice, like what do we do to deserve this?
- 43:14Speaker 7: And it's just clean everywhere.
- 43:16Speaker 4: Organ Yeah, because they're all high, Yeah, free spirit, I
- 43:21Speaker 4: think all. I think all drugs are decriminalized there importantly,
- 43:25Speaker 4: you think.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean there's some because I would see comments
- 43:27Speaker 3: of everything else where. I'm assuming people are alluding to that.
- 43:30Speaker 7: I think in Portland criminalize so in like there, so
- 43:34Speaker 7: we're in you.
- 43:34Speaker 3: Okay, okay, okay, yeah, beautiful drive beautiful because that was
- 43:38Speaker 3: the hard part. You fly to Portland, you got to
- 43:40Speaker 3: drive two hours ago down to Eugene. So I'm curious, like,
- 43:42Speaker 3: I'm sure they just get they get kids in, They'll
- 43:44Speaker 3: just fly into Eugene, I'm sure.
- 43:46Speaker 7: And we had a four hour layover in sol Lake City.
- 43:49Speaker 3: That was the worst part about Organ is we Yeah,
- 43:51Speaker 3: we had a four hour layover. We had to go
- 43:54Speaker 3: right back after the interviews, so that way we didn't
- 43:58Speaker 3: get back at like six thirty at night on Friday,
- 44:01Speaker 3: because we're done with the interviews on what.
- 44:04Speaker 7: Like three I think it earlier than that.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Yeah, like three o'clock on Thursday, right on, yeah, Thursday
- 44:11Speaker 3: to Denver, and then flew back from the morning, try
- 44:13Speaker 3: to make a flight at six thirty. He made a
- 44:15Speaker 3: flight at six thirty out of Portland go to Denvers.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Took a little four hour nap at the hotel airport.
- 44:21Speaker 3: We probably what yeah, it was we slept four hours
- 44:23Speaker 3: because we land, we had a little bit of a delay,
- 44:25Speaker 3: and we got in at like eleven thirty.
- 44:27Speaker 7: Yeah, it was at eleven forty five by the time
- 44:29Speaker 7: I was getting in my room. And then we had
- 44:30Speaker 7: to get up at three forty five.
- 44:32Speaker 3: Yeah, something like that, and then fly from Denver to Nashville.
- 44:35Speaker 3: I mean, it's a trek, but three awesome conversations, three
- 44:40Speaker 3: awesome interviews Test Johnson.
- 44:42Speaker 7: Spring to interviews you've ever had?
- 44:44Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, this this, I mean both of them. Really.
- 44:47Speaker 3: Dylan Gabriel starts like asking me questions and we just
- 44:50Speaker 3: have like a forty five minute long conversation like I'm
- 44:53Speaker 3: kind of running through my stuff with him, talking about
- 44:55Speaker 3: all the transfer portal because he's transferred around a lot
- 44:57Speaker 3: of different places. And uh then with Tz Johnson, he
- 45:01Speaker 3: talks about like he got adopted by bo Nix's family
- 45:05Speaker 3: at fifteen years old, and his ma, his biological mother,
- 45:08Speaker 3: is still like in his life and everything else, and
- 45:10Speaker 3: she was like pushing that issue to get him out
- 45:13Speaker 3: of where he was to basically be with his family.
- 45:17Speaker 6: Bo Nix's dad.
- 45:18Speaker 3: He's the head football coach at their high school in Alabama,
- 45:21Speaker 3: like at six a school. Like he talks about bow
- 45:23Speaker 3: Knicks basically being like a manning like very professional from
- 45:28Speaker 3: being a high schooler, like very straight edged about your business,
- 45:32Speaker 3: you know, all ball and so Tez like being implemented
- 45:37Speaker 3: into the family. He's he recalls that in the episode
- 45:41Speaker 3: his first night where they ate dinner as a family,
- 45:44Speaker 3: and he was like, we all eate dinner as a family,
- 45:47Speaker 3: and I didn't know if I should like grab a
- 45:48Speaker 3: plate and go back to my room or like you
- 45:49Speaker 3: kind of like you know where I'm at, you know,
- 45:52Speaker 3: grab a dinner plate and then you play video games
- 45:53Speaker 3: whatever it is. And he's like they all sat down,
- 45:55Speaker 3: we ate as a family, and I was like thinking
- 45:57Speaker 3: to myself, I hope I don't mess it up, like
- 45:59Speaker 3: I hope I don't mess up. I hope I don't
- 46:00Speaker 3: have to leave here. Damn. It's crazy to like say
- 46:04Speaker 3: a lout because it almost Yeah, and he mine too,
- 46:09Speaker 3: and we go from that. So he talks about getting
- 46:12Speaker 3: up to that point a little bit after. He was
- 46:13Speaker 3: a massive Organ fan because his stepdad when he was young,
- 46:16Speaker 3: showed him an Organ game because he's he'd let him.
- 46:18Speaker 6: Stay up late and watch football with him.
- 46:20Speaker 3: Yeah, And so when he watched Oregon, he thought, uhd
- 46:23Speaker 3: Anthony Thomas was his favorite player and was a massive
- 46:26Speaker 3: Organ fan. And when bo Nicks committed to Auburn, Auburn
- 46:29Speaker 3: Organ played, the family didn't let uh Tez go because
- 46:33Speaker 3: he wanted to wear orgon gear because he said, he
- 46:35Speaker 3: just wore his Oregon hoodie. He said, probably every day.
- 46:38Speaker 3: Probably didn't watch it in middle school and everything else.
- 46:40Speaker 3: I loved Oregon. So he goes he had he's he's
- 46:43Speaker 3: a small receiver. He was like a buck thirty five
- 46:45Speaker 3: coming out of high school or something like that. And
- 46:47Speaker 3: so he commits to Troy the school and out the
- 46:50Speaker 3: University of Alabama and plays there a couple of years,
- 46:53Speaker 3: balls out, hits the portal and he's getting some offers
- 46:56Speaker 3: and everything else, and then all of a sudden Orgon
- 46:57Speaker 3: calls and he and he's like when calls, He's like,
- 47:01Speaker 3: I tell I tell him right that I'm committed, you know,
- 47:04Speaker 3: to say anything else.
- 47:04Speaker 6: I'm committed.
- 47:05Speaker 3: Literally, I'm committed to Organ. Bo Nix's was the current quarterback.
- 47:09Speaker 3: So it's like full circle because Bo transferred from Auburn
- 47:12Speaker 3: to Organ for his last year or two or for
- 47:14Speaker 3: his last couple of years. And then Bo and Tesz
- 47:17Speaker 3: are playing together no Way, and he sets the single
- 47:21Speaker 3: season receptions record as a receiver last year at Tess
- 47:24Speaker 3: his first year at Organ at his favorite school, and
- 47:26Speaker 3: then he comes to life. At the very end of
- 47:28Speaker 3: the episode, insanely charismatic, great personality, talks about his swaggiest
- 47:32Speaker 3: dude in the in college ball. It's a it's a
- 47:35Speaker 3: fun conversation. He starts showing us his Instagram. He's like,
- 47:39Speaker 3: you see my fitt here, I got to show off
- 47:40Speaker 3: the leg tattoos. He here. Really see the drip, I
- 47:44Speaker 3: got the shoes. Go at the mouthpiece. This is a visor.
- 47:46Speaker 3: I got the visor on pre game. Take it off
- 47:48Speaker 3: during the game so that way you can see the
- 47:49Speaker 3: accent of the mouthpiece, but just funny, bro. And then
- 47:52Speaker 3: it opens the door to let uh to get Dylan in.
- 47:55Speaker 3: He's like, look you see what you see what I'm saying.
- 47:57Speaker 3: Quarterback thinks he has swag. He's one of these was
- 48:00Speaker 3: he's one of these flip flops. It just starts busting
- 48:03Speaker 3: his balls. That Dylan comes in. We have fun conversation
- 48:05Speaker 3: and he talks about, Hey, what's some advice transitioning to
- 48:08Speaker 3: here and how to you know how high schoolers managed
- 48:11Speaker 3: n il blah blah blah. We started having a conversation.
- 48:14Speaker 3: Coach Lanning was amazing and they were like accommodating, bro.
- 48:17Speaker 3: They were awesome. And Dan Coach Lanning, he has watched
- 48:20Speaker 3: some of our stuff. He watches some of our stuff.
- 48:22Speaker 3: He's like every Thursday morning, yeah, I start messing with
- 48:25Speaker 3: the brass because your lock of the week.
- 48:29Speaker 6: Because I'm busting his balls.
- 48:30Speaker 3: I was like, hey, Oregon washing it man, like I
- 48:32Speaker 3: was riding with you guys. I have money on that game.
- 48:34Speaker 3: He's like oh, He's like I'm sorry. He's like, but bro,
- 48:37Speaker 3: you gotta stop making nebrask your lock of the week.
- 48:39Speaker 3: Like he knew, and it fired me up.
- 48:42Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 48:43Speaker 3: Yeah, it was fun.
- 48:44Speaker 4: Sounds like an amazing deal.
- 48:45Speaker 7: We're trying to go back.
- 48:47Speaker 3: And then yeah, Broro about Ohio stated Oregon bro.
- 48:54Speaker 7: And I don't know if that would be so Kelly Chip.
- 48:57Speaker 7: Kelly's at Ohio State now, so that games going to be.
- 49:01Speaker 4: Going to be so massive game, Yeah, tell Yeah, that
- 49:07Speaker 4: was a weird thing because he was the head coach
- 49:08Speaker 4: at U C l A and then he left U
- 49:11Speaker 4: c l A to become the head coach or the
- 49:12Speaker 4: o C.
- 49:14Speaker 3: Yeah, he made a downgrade move.
- 49:18Speaker 6: That's right, that's right, that's right.
- 49:19Speaker 3: My fault, my fault. Yeah.
- 49:20Speaker 4: But then there was a reports that came out that
- 49:22Speaker 4: he was on his way out anyway, like him the
- 49:23Speaker 4: adding along or whatever. He didn't have the players anymore,
- 49:26Speaker 4: so he just did before they could get him.
- 49:29Speaker 3: Dip. And then you go to a spot like Ohio
- 49:31Speaker 3: State that's probably going too prolonged, like get you back
- 49:33Speaker 3: to where wherever he wants to go, whether it's the NFL.
- 49:35Speaker 4: Yeah, you go, you go eleven and one every year
- 49:37Speaker 4: like you're gonna.
- 49:38Speaker 6: Get some jobs.
- 49:38Speaker 3: Yeah yeah. Kind and coach Lanning was talking about what
- 49:41Speaker 3: was your biggest move? You feel like I was like,
- 49:42Speaker 3: I know you. I've listened to your pause before and
- 49:44Speaker 3: you recall like there's too many. I was like, but
- 49:46Speaker 3: what was a move that like happened for you guys
- 49:48Speaker 3: will obviously here in this episode, but he talks about
- 49:50Speaker 3: like going and taking downgrading, making good money and then
- 49:53Speaker 3: like taking a shot to go be a g a Bama,
- 49:55Speaker 3: thinking like this will be my this will help get
- 49:58Speaker 3: me to those next bigger jobs. Yeah.
- 50:00Speaker 6: But they were awesome, Bro, Yeah, they were awesome.
- 50:03Speaker 3: He I really want to go see that Oregona HO
- 50:06Speaker 3: State game.
- 50:07Speaker 4: The way week is that?
- 50:10Speaker 3: Is it during sp October? Strong chance? I think it
- 50:16Speaker 3: is over twelve week Week two?
- 50:19Speaker 6: Is that week two or three? That's like.
- 50:22Speaker 7: October twelfth?
- 50:23Speaker 6: No in October?
- 50:24Speaker 7: Oh yeah, I think it'll be the second week. I
- 50:26Speaker 7: can look at the calendar that happen.
- 50:28Speaker 3: Oh yes, we gotta make sure aligne, sponsor wise and
- 50:33Speaker 3: everything else that we don't have, not that we don't have,
- 50:36Speaker 3: but if whoever wants us to be in like sec country. Yeah.
- 50:39Speaker 7: But I thought on Saturday in October.
- 50:41Speaker 4: I thought our conversations with a fall tour was gonna
- 50:44Speaker 4: be like a fluid, like we're gonna go to fix spots. However,
- 50:47Speaker 4: we're gonna go to like game of the week type things.
- 50:49Speaker 4: We're gonna pick and choose the games we go too.
- 50:50Speaker 3: For sure. That's why. That's why I said it, like
- 50:53Speaker 3: we got to make sure. We gotta make sure that
- 50:56Speaker 3: because that's the whole thing with both Jangles is we
- 50:57Speaker 3: had to be in a lot of sec country stuff.
- 51:00Speaker 4: Look up who Michigan plays October twelfth, because I know
- 51:04Speaker 4: we were not going to Michigan, Texas, because Nebraska, which
- 51:08Speaker 4: is going to be a fun time.
- 51:10Speaker 3: Ay, Tim bro I trust me. I want to go
- 51:12Speaker 3: to I do want to go to Texas. Michigan too,
- 51:14Speaker 3: but Colorado at Nebraska it's a big game. Yeah, perfect, Washington,
- 51:24Speaker 3: I have zero schedule conflict. Then hang on, hang on,
- 51:27Speaker 3: we're at it. It's Washington. Oh, it's in seat, it's
- 51:29Speaker 3: in Washington.
- 51:30Speaker 7: Oregon plays Michigan though in in arbor.
- 51:32Speaker 4: But we want to like no, well, yeah, yeah, going
- 51:35Speaker 4: to Oregon.
- 51:36Speaker 3: What's a Let's just say that going to Michigan during
- 51:39Speaker 3: that game would be hype.
- 51:40Speaker 4: I know, go up USC they play USC September twenty first,
- 51:44Speaker 4: Thats where we're gonna go to Michigan.
- 51:45Speaker 3: Right there. That's the game we're gonna go to.
- 51:48Speaker 4: So we'll go to Texas. Texas week will be Nebraska Colorado,
- 51:53Speaker 4: and then two weeks later will be a USC Michigan.
- 51:56Speaker 4: You know, what I'm really anxious to see is we
- 51:58Speaker 4: know that like Michigan keeps a little more close to
- 52:00Speaker 4: the vest. They obviously opened it, opened it up a
- 52:02Speaker 4: lot because I went there and stuff, but for the
- 52:04Speaker 4: most part, like they're not necessarily Nebraska as far as
- 52:08Speaker 4: like the hospitality, because the Brassa is just like, dude,
- 52:11Speaker 4: this is your playground. And Michigan does keep a little
- 52:13Speaker 4: more things. Sharon Moore, he and I have a great
- 52:16Speaker 4: relationship and he seems like a like a more of
- 52:19Speaker 4: a relaxed cat. I'm anxious to see if Michigan is
- 52:22Speaker 4: any different with him as the head coach with us
- 52:24Speaker 4: at least.
- 52:25Speaker 3: Right like, hopefully he has like the fool of like
- 52:29Speaker 3: the headman. Yeah he will, he will, absolutely.
- 52:32Speaker 4: He's six and he's six and oh as a head coach. Yeah,
- 52:35Speaker 4: he's undefeated as a head coach. Pennsdale Hot State.
- 52:38Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, I mean last year you guys went undefeated.
- 52:43Speaker 4: He was a head coach for six of those I
- 52:45Speaker 4: think four of those actually, but yeah, dude, that is Ah, that's.
- 52:50Speaker 3: A bit of a deal.
- 52:50Speaker 4: What else is a bit of a deal? Is is
- 52:52Speaker 4: the question that is going around the NFL right now.
- 52:55Speaker 4: Is Kirk Cousins a bad person? That's that's that's not
- 53:00Speaker 4: saying that I'm hearing that.
- 53:01Speaker 3: That Kirk Cousins is a bad person or that allowed tampering.
- 53:07Speaker 4: Kirk Cousins didn't follow the book, Kirk.
- 53:10Speaker 3: Oh, he might have had a little slip up in
- 53:11Speaker 3: that presser. I would love to see because I kind
- 53:14Speaker 3: of can't remember it, but it sounds like he slipped
- 53:16Speaker 3: up saying talking about his relationship with the maybe the
- 53:19Speaker 3: training staff before he got there, And so they're using
- 53:23Speaker 3: that little sentence or two like hey, this, this is
- 53:26Speaker 3: this is kind of tampering.
- 53:30Speaker 4: Betternet.
- 53:31Speaker 3: Let's go dude. They do take that shit serious because
- 53:34Speaker 3: you get penalized in the draft. It was like when
- 53:37Speaker 3: you guys were making your run and went to the
- 53:39Speaker 3: AFC Championship. Our was with the Raiders that year and
- 53:43Speaker 3: John Robinson was like, make sure you're not marketing anything
- 53:47Speaker 3: about you know, it's like a bust and Titans collap
- 53:50Speaker 3: because we don't want any potential tampering with with me,
- 53:56Speaker 3: but just like to show how serious every organization takes,
- 54:00Speaker 3: like to the detail. No, don't do this because we can't.
- 54:03Speaker 3: This is a risk any kind of tampering, which sucks
- 54:06Speaker 3: because if Kirk had any kind of relationship, It's like
- 54:08Speaker 3: we were talking about before the pod. It's almost like
- 54:11Speaker 3: if coming back, if just knowing Todd Torrisseli the trainer,
- 54:14Speaker 3: if we just had any kind of conversation and I
- 54:16Speaker 3: say it and like I have some presser coming back,
- 54:18Speaker 3: like yeah, I was kind of catching up with Todd,
- 54:20Speaker 3: you know, back in January or December. Blah blah blah.
- 54:23Speaker 3: That could be boom. You're labeled as tampering even though
- 54:25Speaker 3: you have like a personal relationship with yes person. Yeah
- 54:28Speaker 3: got them.
- 54:28Speaker 4: The good news for Kirk Cousins though, dude.
- 54:31Speaker 3: Good news for you looking like a man rocket these days.
- 54:34Speaker 4: And that is sport clips. Your hair may grow fast,
- 54:37Speaker 4: but after a sport clip haircuts, you'll wish you grew
- 54:40Speaker 4: even faster. That's because sport Clips has the best seats
- 54:42Speaker 4: in men's hair. And that may or may not be
- 54:45Speaker 4: because they happen to be right in front of TV's
- 54:47Speaker 4: playing sports all day every day. We know, watching sports
- 54:50Speaker 4: while getting your haircut. Sure beats watching your reflection get
- 54:53Speaker 4: a haircut, which is why sport clips every day is
- 54:55Speaker 4: clippers and curveballs, high tops and hill Mary's and even
- 54:58Speaker 4: waves and wickets. If you're sort of thing, at sport clips,
- 55:01Speaker 4: you can check in with the pros and men's hair
- 55:03Speaker 4: and totally check out with pure uninterrupted relaxation. So yeah,
- 55:07Speaker 4: come watch an endless stream of sports on TV while
- 55:10Speaker 4: getting an awesome haircut. Sport clips. It's a game changer,
- 55:14Speaker 4: the sport clips right here.
- 55:15Speaker 3: You like this? Yeah, I liked the little Uh you
- 55:17Speaker 3: gotta like a little little curly guy. Yeah, a little
- 55:19Speaker 3: curly boy, A little slinky.
- 55:21Speaker 4: A little slinky dog.
- 55:23Speaker 3: Think right there.
- 55:24Speaker 4: They gave me a little three on the sides and
- 55:25Speaker 4: faded it up a little bit. It's been about a
- 55:27Speaker 4: week or two.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Though, So is that what you tell them the sides
- 55:29Speaker 3: faded up? No? No, no, I don't ever say the fade up.
- 55:33Speaker 2: No.
- 55:33Speaker 4: I do do a little parts sometimes, but I just
- 55:35Speaker 4: usually say I do two three in the sides, and
- 55:37Speaker 4: they what about the top?
- 55:38Speaker 3: I go do whatever you want, and then they do that.
- 55:40Speaker 6: They want you say, do whatever you want.
- 55:42Speaker 3: I want a little bit of length.
- 55:44Speaker 4: Do whatever you want, keep them length.
- 55:46Speaker 3: Yeah, but I usually because you got to be clear,
- 55:48Speaker 3: like if they cut something, sure you're gonna make Yeah.
- 55:51Speaker 4: I'll tell you back in the day when I was
- 55:52Speaker 4: going to sport clips as a kid, as a young buck,
- 55:55Speaker 4: I would always have that like real tight on the sides,
- 55:58Speaker 4: then real short and then that small little that little ramp.
- 56:02Speaker 6: All white boys know that one.
- 56:03Speaker 4: Yeah, my mom, but frosted little tips to I know
- 56:06Speaker 4: I've told that story a bunch of this podcast, but
- 56:08Speaker 4: that was what your boy was working around five or
- 56:09Speaker 4: six years old.
- 56:11Speaker 3: Get some of that hair, that hair colored ship at Walmart.
- 56:13Speaker 3: Fucking yeahs painted little paint it.
- 56:16Speaker 4: You put the little thing on and they pulled the
- 56:18Speaker 4: few out. Yeah, these a little stick, pull your hair out,
- 56:22Speaker 4: dallasted with that blue paste. Wake up the next day
- 56:25Speaker 4: a new man, low key thinking you're murdering the game.
- 56:27Speaker 3: Light up top, darker on the side. Then you go
- 56:30Speaker 3: through the phase where you want to grow it out,
- 56:31Speaker 3: which was me. So the same blonde would like.
- 56:34Speaker 4: Grow it'd be like this long, but just like slowly
- 56:36Speaker 4: come down.
- 56:37Speaker 3: Here and still brown, still like brown up underneath.
- 56:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I looked, dude.
- 56:42Speaker 3: Spiddle school you guys. You guys went to that. I
- 56:44Speaker 3: know we talked about before. You never went through a
- 56:46Speaker 3: long hair phase, Mitch.
- 56:47Speaker 8: No, I've only ever had a buzz cut growing up.
- 56:49Speaker 4: I mean I think about Mitch trying to grow his
- 56:51Speaker 4: hair out, his head so big, like it'd be like
- 56:55Speaker 4: three years before he even got to my leg.
- 56:57Speaker 3: He looked like et when they put the wig on him.
- 57:01Speaker 8: Hey, you know what I'm saying, Jack, just.
- 57:09Speaker 3: The wide head.
- 57:10Speaker 4: Yeah, bro, man, dude, you see you rock that beard now.
- 57:15Speaker 8: So it's November, I'm thinking of actually shaving it.
- 57:19Speaker 4: Go ahead, dude, you want but you liked it?
- 57:21Speaker 8: No, I do. I definitely like it for sure. Yeah,
- 57:24Speaker 8: I just maybe maybe maybe.
- 57:26Speaker 4: I told this man, I said, the minute you grow
- 57:27Speaker 4: a beer, you're gonna be like, man, you know.
- 57:28Speaker 3: I might just keep this be a beard guy. Yeah,
- 57:31Speaker 3: just give it a trim.
- 57:32Speaker 8: No, I do trim it. I do trimming. I just
- 57:34Speaker 8: maybe just kind of hit the reset button real quick,
- 57:36Speaker 8: kind of go back to neutral for a little bit.
- 57:38Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I can let her go back out. Sometimes
- 57:39Speaker 3: it's nice to have a little bit of a change.
- 57:41Speaker 8: Even with the summer coming and stuff too. Like, I
- 57:44Speaker 8: got to make sure the face gets an even tan exactly.
- 57:47Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 57:48Speaker 4: When I first got back to Nash, it was like
- 57:51Speaker 4: gonna be I think like forty eight hours before I
- 57:53Speaker 4: saw Will, and I was so excited. I just faced
- 57:54Speaker 4: time him in bed one night, and H Taylor took
- 57:58Speaker 4: a nice moment to let him know how great his
- 57:59Speaker 4: beard was. It's phenomenal beard.
- 58:01Speaker 6: Yeah, I know, which. I don't think it's that great.
- 58:05Speaker 4: Really, Yeah, I think you have a f I think
- 58:07Speaker 4: you have a great beard. I think it looks it's
- 58:09Speaker 4: a really good look for you.
- 58:10Speaker 3: I appreciate it. I was telling you too. I kind
- 58:12Speaker 3: of like when I take it down to more of
- 58:14Speaker 3: like a stubble, like a little scruff, a little scruff.
- 58:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I think you got enough density on the cheeks
- 58:19Speaker 4: that to kind of keep it where it's at, Like
- 58:21Speaker 4: clean it up and clean up that neck a little bit.
- 58:22Speaker 3: You'd be solid. Yeah, handsome boys.
- 58:26Speaker 7: An old photo of you Will with a beard, and
- 58:28Speaker 7: I had the same feeling I was. It was long, bro,
- 58:31Speaker 7: and I was like, damn, yeah bro, But you said
- 58:35Speaker 7: get it back.
- 58:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:35Speaker 7: I thought it looked.
- 58:36Speaker 4: Oh no, no.
- 58:38Speaker 7: No, I swear the photo. I looked you must have
- 58:41Speaker 7: just gotten a trim because it Will looked very even
- 58:44Speaker 7: and I don't know.
- 58:45Speaker 4: Pull up a what's the video you did the tailor
- 58:49Speaker 4: one top one hundred with Will's talking that's the that's
- 58:52Speaker 4: the beard.
- 58:52Speaker 3: That's the one I think he's talking about. Go to uh,
- 58:56Speaker 3: go to YouTube. I don't think so either, because it
- 58:58Speaker 3: grows now because you he grows more down.
- 59:03Speaker 4: Had a Viking? No, that thing nice, that's that's newer
- 59:06Speaker 4: Will beard. No, it's nuts old teeth, isn't it.
- 59:09Speaker 3: That's my fault.
- 59:11Speaker 8: You look like you look like you're supposed to be
- 59:12Speaker 8: in Twilight right there?
- 59:14Speaker 3: Can't you see the old teeth down there? Down going down?
- 59:17Speaker 3: Go up the top right, that's you. I thought that
- 59:20Speaker 3: was Lane Johnson.
- 59:22Speaker 4: Oh bro, Yeah you had that is crazy. You had
- 59:26Speaker 4: that Amish country beard too.
- 59:29Speaker 3: That is wild. There there's the Hey, Mitch, make sure
- 59:34Speaker 3: to get that photo that we're just looking at and
- 59:37Speaker 3: puking over. That is nuts. Man. Yeah, teeth, I mean
- 59:42Speaker 3: the boys said, you know what, I can't say enough
- 59:44Speaker 3: about the teeth investment. Yeah, it's a big deal.
- 59:46Speaker 6: Can't say enough.
- 59:47Speaker 4: Some got last night at Shange show was talking about
- 59:49Speaker 4: my dentist. He said, what are you for your dentist?
- 59:51Speaker 4: I was like, oh, he's in Brentwood somewhere else. These
- 59:53Speaker 4: are fake by the way I've been, there's like a
- 59:57Speaker 4: year ago.
- 59:57Speaker 3: These are not real. You need to just put some on,
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: like some whitening paste of Walmart or something like that.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: You know what I do. I get this with this
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: whitening paste, whitening toothpaste, them laser mouthpieces that they're they're
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: promoting now on Instagram.
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: Yeah, dude, I did the uh what was the little
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: things back in the day where they had like they
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: were like pieces of paper whitening strips. I did that.
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: It hurt my teeth, yeah, bro, bro, like just like
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: shock shock waves, So your teeth hurts so bad it.
- 1:00:25Speaker 8: Like really up your enamel. Yeah for your teeth.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I messed them up.
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: I did like a whitening thing like ad a dentist
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: one time where they like put the light on it.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: That ship hurt too. Maybe I do have soft teeth,
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: soft team and soft teeth.
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: You know, a good app This could easily be my

- 1:02:13Speaker 3: And it basically it helps you make the right choices
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: for all products. So you will scan the barcode and
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: it'll tell you if it's a good, if it's an excellent,
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: all the way up to excellent. And as you see
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: here eight out of one hundred for Cereal Honey nut
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: cheerios eight.
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: Out of one hundred.
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: That's a bad advertiser for shunning nut cheerios.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: But you'll just scan the bar code and it tells
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: you how quality of a product it is, like what
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: you know, whether it's like, you know, organic or whatever,
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: how much how much added? Is how many chemicals like,
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: it'll tell you why it's bad and all that stuff.
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: It's sick and you know, put me on it. Bill Compton,
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: this man is full of surprises. On this show.
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: Bro's the guitar talks about health.
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: Yeah, well he was showing me.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: He was. We were talking about some products and he's like, yeah,
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: I was checking on my uh my Yuka app and
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: it was telling me how bad it was. It might
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: have been like a deodorant or something like that. He
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: was like, it was showing me how bad like an
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: old spice was. He was like rated very low.
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: My roommate got really big in the Yuca and he
- 1:03:14Speaker 7: almost lost part of himself.
- 1:03:16Speaker 6: Really, Oh no, you can get.
- 1:03:18Speaker 7: Literally be in the grocery for an hour and a
- 1:03:21Speaker 7: half just scanning products, and he's like, all this stuff
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: I've been taking for years is actually horrible for me.
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: Bro.
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: He's just like, but.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: I wasn't target with Rue, and I probably spent a
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: good amount of time just skinning products while she's.
- 1:03:33Speaker 7: Throwing yellow or red icon if it's like good or bad.
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's cool, it's a it's a very I
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: was so surprised that that Billy.
- 1:03:42Speaker 4: C was showing me this app that's outstanding.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: But that's that's my first one. What my actual shot out,
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: no free shoutout for this week is going to be
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: when your wife goes out of town. Oh, will you
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: get the serenity of rock and solo knowing that you
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: can catch up on your shows. You can. The wife
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: will be away long enough to where you're gonna miss
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: them very badly by the time they get back, and.
- 1:04:08Speaker 6: You just get to you just get to go back
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: to some of your old ways.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: Now I'm gonna be riding solo with Rue, so I'm
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: gonna be on solo dad duty, which I'll have its challenges,
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: but unexciting challenge.
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: Yeah, and you get a chance to level up a
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: little bit too at the relationship.
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: Yeah, get in the rhythm with rue.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, that's good, Just because the other day
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: I was thinking about it. Charlie went out to go
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: shopping and I put Root down for a nap, and
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: your boy had a very productive saturday. Got a run in,
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: got some song in, clean the kitchen, did a load
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: of laundry, and then I'm sitting there like just I
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: felt good on the couch, like, oh man, I'm really
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: your boy was fucking productive this afternoon, and saw I'm
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: like looking forward to those moments. I'm gonna miss you.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: I am gonna miss your sweetheart. She's gonna be im
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: parish for like eight days on a girls trip, I know.
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: Oh yeah that's down.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that's gonna be great, though it's gonna be so
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: sick for them.
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: I feel like your first three days are gonna be
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: the tough, and then you're gonna find a nice groove
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: between four and seven.
- 1:05:02Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely the first day, just because we'll be getting
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: back from our Alabama trip and we're doing the draft
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: coverage in Chicago, so then flying back early on Friday.
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: She takes off Friday morning, so I'll kind of be
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: you like, have that face sleep. Yeah, I just seed
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: that first night to get some sleep. But other than that,
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: like it'll be we'll have a good time. But that's
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: my shadow. When you have that serenity of and just
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: peace and quiet, when when the kid's gonna be down sleeping,
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: whether it's for a nap or night time, you're just
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: gonna have the house to yourself.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: Can I add a layer to that for you too?
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: That makes it even better? Yeah, your wife is not
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: going on a business trip for eight days. She's not
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: doing something she doesn't want to do for eight days.
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: She's having total and complete fun for eight days, to
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: the point where you don't have to worry about all
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: this is happening. That is happening. They're gonna come back
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: and be all drained, like they are filling themselves up
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: from a soul standpoint, So you know when they come back,
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: they'll be ready to can maybe take over seventy cender
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: the load for a minute a day or two.
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: The scoreboard will be in my favorite for sure.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: Time she'll have to make a halftime come back in
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: a hurry.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: In a hurry. Yeah that is. She's like, babe, you
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: leave every week. I'm like, sweetheart, your boy rush is
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: to get back and rushes.
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: We take the earliest flight time just to get back
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: to y'all. We will take our s and it's for business.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: Like I know, we have fun. I can't help we
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: have a fun job.
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: Did you have fun in Paris, France?
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: Did you exactly on an eight day trip with the homies?
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that's tough. Don't worry, you'll get You'll get
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: back calculated with the hours and I think it'll be fine. Yeah,
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: but go ahead and put rude down right now.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: Relax.
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, the serenity does that last a couple extra
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: and then you.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: Just get to be a guy for a little bit,
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: like you know, leaves some dishes out, you know, for
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: a little extra.
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: Day or smile about it too as you walk away.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: Yeah, order order some takeout and kind of leave it
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: there on the table, knowing that you're going to put
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: in work right before they come back, just for it
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: to be spotless.
- 1:06:54Speaker 6: Sweetheart, I kept up.
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: Under the rug. Under the rug.
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: Yeah, see how spotless this is.
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: It stayed like this.
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: It's crazy to that happened when we're both here.
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: Yeah, oh, bro, I fucking I have a bad habit
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: of leaving the espresso in the machine and instead of
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: cleaning it out, and it's in the pantry, and she
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: moved it out of the pantry. She was like, I'm
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: putting this out here to be seen so that way,
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: you know. She's like, you can't handle it in the
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: pantry anymore. That's what she said. She goes, you can't
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: handle this, and I got tired. I was like, I'll
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: never I'm never making one again. I'm never making a
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: latte again. And because she was like, maybe I think
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: to move out to the counter and the kitchen is
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: going to be better for all of us and I
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: and I just want you to I was like, no,
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: don't even worry about it. I'm not making any more lattes.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: I'm not using this machine ever again. You're gonna let
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: your grove on your house like that.
- 1:07:42Speaker 6: She had to put her to her defense.
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: She had to put her foot down. She did. She
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: did because I don't know what the material is, but
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: it was i'll try to get stains. I was like, babe,
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: it's not gonna stain. Like I'll trust me. I'll get
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: it out and I couldn't fuck get it out.
- 1:08:01Speaker 6: She's like, don't worry. When we're out here, this will be.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: This is right.
- 1:08:03Speaker 6: You can't handle it in the pantry.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: I was like, just a dust up, a little tiff
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: in Paris, charl Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, have fun in Paris.
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: Shadow no for shadow, all right, you did too? All
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: do two as well? Uh. Last night, going to Shane's concert,
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: we get in the car. Will realizes he kept the key,
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: so Charles can't leave my house to go to her house.
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: Day oh yeah, So we cruised back to my house.
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: We're already running late. We cruised back to my house
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: and JP's not a gas so we get in my
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: wife's vehicle and we take that car. And because I'm
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: driving and this is an older vehicle so I don't
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: have like a little monitor tell me how to get there.
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: And Will is like copilot, he's copilot, and he also
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: has my phone to do to play music, so he's
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: double he's double wheeled in the whole time. Now, we
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: put a song on Will and I are kind of
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: bumpet through it because but it was a little sad.
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: But here's my where my shout out no free show
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: comes in is where usually when you get a car
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: with a bunch of guys, you're going to something fun,
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: like you want to put some bangers on that everybody knows,
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: everybody enjoys, and we can all sing along too, so
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: we get the energy high and going. We put about
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: one song on and then Will Compton goes, let me,
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: let me let you guys try this one on. What
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: do you think about this? Which is one of the
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: most daring things you can do with a friend group
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: going somewhere is testing out a new song when energy
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: is needed more than ever.
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: And he put that if they were on us in
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: the back, like, come on, I know you guys are
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: singing too, but let's get some energy.
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, Well there was a minute where we
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: yeah yeah, I was like that it sounded like hilar Delilah,
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: but it was actually as a Swaco song, which I
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: really I think is fire and I'm kind of I
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: know the song, so I'm singing it. Will's legit looking
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: out the window feeling something like like my fad was
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: in a music video. For a second, I look at
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: the river mirror and JP's kind of like, what the
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: fuck is this? And I was like, hey, well we
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: should change we should change it.
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: So he puts that. He puts that song on and
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: it hit. It was, uh, is it called I'm Good
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: the Blue Dad kind of remix. Yeah, yeah, I'm good
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: best fucking not in my life. But he put that
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: on out.
- 1:10:15Speaker 6: Yeah, it's a jam.
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: He put the song on his eye, I got a
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: new one for you guys and hit that. I was like,
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: this is blue like and then all of a sudden I.
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: Find out was like I'm struggling boys, and I was
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: started getting nervous.
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: Yeah, and it worked out. So my shout in a
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: free shot is taking the risk of energy when energy
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: is needed more than ever. Yeah, that is that's my
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: shot show.
- 1:10:35Speaker 6: I mean, it could have been worse.
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: But I reached in my pocket to grab my phone
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: to search for the song or just search for a
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: song or something like that, and I feel Charles.
- 1:10:44Speaker 4: Keys and Keys again.
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: I was well, not that remember, because you were like
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: you were saying something like, all, this would be good,
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: This would be better than if we would have made
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: it all the way there, then she wouldn't have had
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: it in the first place. And I was like, you
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: don't understand. If we would have made it there, and
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: she would have been like, I don't have my keys,
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: and I have mommy. I had recently that earlier that
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: day when I went on the Daddy Daughter had a
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: little Daddy daughter morning. I leave Ruth's backpack at Target,
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: and I'm swearing up and down. I didn't leave it there.
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: I didn't even bring it in Target. They checked the cameras. Hey,
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: we found the backpack. So Charles already going back to
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: because my rock brain, dude just lapses the espresso machine,
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: leaving it in.
- 1:11:25Speaker 6: Though, don't beat you, I know, but.
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: You're taking small things and you're piling it up.
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: But these are within the last couple of weeks.
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: Bro, That's all right. We all go through phases. You know,
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: a little foggy.
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: You know I'm losing it. You know I'm losing No,
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: you're not, you're not.
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: You're strong.
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: You're strong.
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: You do way more good than bad, way more good
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: than bad.
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: I appreciate you.
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: Uh, my second one, my second shout in her first
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: shadow simply is taking action.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: And I'll explain why I say this.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: When I built my home, I spent an ungodly amount
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: of money on my landscaping, and I told the landscaping people, listen,
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: this is what I want. I want you to think
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: like you're walking into organized chaos like green lush, but
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: there's flowers everywhere, Like you're on a French countryside and
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: there's wildflowers as far as the eye can see, and
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: it's just like a vibrant, beautiful bunch of colors. And
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: you're just like stimulated, but you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: Landscaper is like, we got you. They start playing stuff
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: and they go three years from now, got to give
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: plants time. You'll have that perfect It's now been three years.
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: I have good landscape. I got good grass, but landscape, well,
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: devil was in the details. Brother, I was blind too,
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: But now I see, okay, okay. I start looking out
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: and Tailor brought to my attention a little bit. I'm like,
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: you're right, there's not a whole lot of vibrant French
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: countryside going on here that I was wanted so bad.
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: And this dude named Steve crawls out of the ashes
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: and he's like, I am the greatest gardener of all time,
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: but people just don't know it yet. I can turn
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: this into what you want.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: Blah blah blah, blah.
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: So I have now taken action. I bought a tractor,
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: and I dug out, damn your half of my own
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: landscape this past weekend.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: Talk about being productive, you dugout.
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: Swear to God, I dug out. I call my wife.
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: You just got on the tractors. I know it's just
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: gonna put up a funny bro that you found on Google.
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: Jack saw that that that is funny. That's a funny
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: Jack move. But let's call Taylor right now.
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: Also made those references what up, dude, Hey, I need
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: I need You're on the bus right now.
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: I need you.
- 1:13:31Speaker 6: I need you.
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: Just plainly tell Will and the boys what we bought
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: this weekend and what did I do this weekend?
- 1:13:40Speaker 8: Denying?
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: Now, aren't they they are? Taylor and I said, there's
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: no way he actually used the tractor. He just got
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: on it, took a photo and just like I'm gonna
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: make him think that I was doing some ship, tell him,
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: tell him what happened.
- 1:13:53Speaker 5: Well, I can completely understand why you think that. I
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: even told Taylor, this is the first time in eight
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: years I've ever seen dirt under his fingernails. It was
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: like actually noticeable.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: Get to the point, but he.
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: Attractor, and he got on it and he filled it
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: up with grassy polls and then he drove it to
- 1:14:10Speaker 5: the spot to dump it and drove it back.
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: Okay, did he dig up?
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: He said, he dug up half of his landscaping.
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: He did that by hand, and he actually did it
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: for real, and he used.
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: The bucket to fill it up.
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: And then he he didn't real he didn't real landscaping
- 1:14:25Speaker 5: this weekend.
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: Well, all right, that's confirmed. That's confirmed.
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: I love you, I talk to you later. So I
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: dug my shit up.
- 1:14:35Speaker 8: Steve.
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: This Steve guy, he's like he's like an alchemist. Did
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: he the way? He's got a green thumb like no
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: one's ever seen before. He's out at my house every
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: single day and he's like, I want to use your
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: land to show people what.
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: I can do.
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: So taking I took action. And then three to five years, boys,
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: I'm gonna have a world class garden at myf world class.
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: So you got to restart basically.
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: Yeah, but you know my grass grasstaat great grass all year.
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:03Speaker 6: Yeah, it's very green, good grass, vibrant green.
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: But you know, like the kind of bushes you see
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: that are kind of around the green grass. We're working, baby,
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: we are turning that shit into I'm not just talking
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: about it'll look nice. I have an area designated to
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: win Rebel Lawan, my oldest daughter. That there are different
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: flowers and different plants that are from a family named
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: Wind that we're gonna plant there. So that's gonna be
- 1:15:26Speaker 4: a wind garden. There's obviously a willow tree, my youngest daughter.
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: I'm gonna play.
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: Different willow trees, different willow plants, which Steve was telling about.
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: There's a bajillion type of different plants. I am going
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: to have a world class garden three to five years.
- 1:15:41Speaker 4: And I took action on it this weekend. Bookmark that bookmark.
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: That shout out no fore shoutout taking action.
- 1:15:47Speaker 4: Yep, shout out no for, shout out, take an action.
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: Shout out to you, said Steve.
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: Shout out to Steve.
- 1:15:52Speaker 6: That's I know. That's a gritty move.
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: It's a gritty move. Ione knows it. Yet I need
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: to build my portfolio. Let me use your land, because
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: I can really decked this thing out for real and
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: then use that to market and showcase my skills.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: He is.
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: I don't want to sing his praises too much. I
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: do like Steve early in the game. It's early in
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: the game, first quarter. He came out said a lot
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: of good things. And I'll tell you what, first couple
- 1:16:16Speaker 4: of minutes of the game.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: He's been doing great.
- 1:16:18Speaker 4: Okay, he's been doing great, but I I mean, three
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: to five years is a long time. Yeah, you know,
- 1:16:23Speaker 4: eventually fatigueill set in, a fatigue mixed cowards out of
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: all us.
- 1:16:27Speaker 6: Yeah, great quote.
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: I'm gonna pee, Mitch, do your shut up?
- 1:16:32Speaker 8: My shout out. Every shadow this week goes to uh Supercross?
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: So we do you ever not talk about Supercross?
- 1:16:42Speaker 8: I'm sorry. It's like you with Nebraska. I I'm a
- 1:16:45Speaker 8: fan of something, I'm gonna talk about it, and every
- 1:16:47Speaker 8: time I do, talk about it in the team meetings,
- 1:16:49Speaker 8: other meetings with you guys, asking you guys if you're
- 1:16:51Speaker 8: gonna show up. Here we go again, here you talking
- 1:16:54Speaker 8: about Supercross, tell me to shut out and making me
- 1:16:58Speaker 8: feel bad.
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: Okay, tell about talk about time about I'm teasing. I'm
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: teasing a little true to it for sure, but I apologize.
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: I apologize. I know you love Supercross. It's very near
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: and dear to your heart.
- 1:17:07Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, and I'm not I won't go into the
- 1:17:09Speaker 8: whole story, but I want to shout out Sean Brennan,
- 1:17:12Speaker 8: Dustin Pipes. Those were the two guys and Chris Elliott
- 1:17:15Speaker 8: from the Team Solitaire. We have a dirt bike now.
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: It was a very very long process in getting it,
- 1:17:22Speaker 8: like a.
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: Year and a half, no year, we were Yeah, but
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: the talk of getting something from Twisted Tea dirt bike wise.
- 1:17:30Speaker 8: Was last year's Supercross and that was a year ago.
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: But it's that that conversation of that bike started. You
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: started that conversation with them a little before that.
- 1:17:38Speaker 8: I didn't think we were going to be able to
- 1:17:39Speaker 8: get a bike from.
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: Him, but then we were going to get a bike,
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: and you promised it.
- 1:17:43Speaker 8: For It's been a year, yeah, and that's we have
- 1:17:48Speaker 8: it now.
- 1:17:49Speaker 6: We do it Ain't is beautiful.
- 1:17:51Speaker 8: It is so sick and just the like Sean and
- 1:17:55Speaker 8: Dustin and Chris like that. He were super accommodating, accommodating
- 1:17:59Speaker 8: for the guys or my family. Taylor Delaney like got
- 1:18:03Speaker 8: his tickets, had a really good seat. But they're just
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: great dudes, great people. And I can't thank him enough
- 1:18:10Speaker 8: for getting us a dirt bike. And Taylor could only
- 1:18:13Speaker 8: be at the thing for an hour.
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: First day back anniversary, and that's I'm I'm happy.
- 1:18:21Speaker 8: He even gave me, like gave us an hour, like
- 1:18:23Speaker 8: he didn't have to do that. But and Sean was like, Okay,
- 1:18:26Speaker 8: we got this, this and this, and then you're out.
- 1:18:28Speaker 8: You're fine and we made it happen like and I'm
- 1:18:32Speaker 8: stoked about it.
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: I know you're stoked. You remember when we were talking
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: about your approach to Taylor?
- 1:18:38Speaker 6: Yeah, you're like, did he ever let you know that
- 1:18:40Speaker 6: we talked?
- 1:18:41Speaker 8: What he he texted me is like, Mitchell, no, you're
- 1:18:43Speaker 8: gonna ask me something, just ask it.
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: No, no, no, I said, when you're ready to ask
- 1:18:47Speaker 4: me the question, I have an answer.
- 1:18:48Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: And he would you take it back?
- 1:18:51Speaker 8: Do you want to go?
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: No, you said, what's your answer? I said, you have
- 1:18:54Speaker 4: to ask a question first.
- 1:18:55Speaker 8: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:18:56Speaker 6: And then Taylor at first we were both like.
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: I'm not a supercross guy, like I'm not a dirt
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: bike guy, and Mitch being like, hey, supercross this year,
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: and again he dropped I mean no, he didn't drop
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: the ball.
- 1:19:07Speaker 6: We went. We had a great time at.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: Supercross, but we were supposed to have this dirt bike
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: and Mitch is just all supercross twenty four to seven,
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: three six. Now every time you're like, hey, I got
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: another supercross topic to talk about, we're like, all right,
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: mitg We're like, all right, where's the uh, where's the
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: bike from last year that you were said that you
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: swore up and down we were gonna have it.
- 1:19:26Speaker 8: Now it's here and you can't bring that up, no doubt.
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: But Taylor was getting back on the nineteenth and Supercross
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: was on the twenty on four twenty shout out for
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: twenty and uh, we were both kind of out on
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: Supercross because again, he's just getting back and his anniversary
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: is on four twenty, and so Taylor had already previously
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: said like we weren't gonna do this, and so Mitch
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: was like, hey, I think we're gonna get the dirt bike.
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: I was like, fucking here you go again, Mitch. And
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: I was like, listen, I've never I've never ridden a
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: dirt bike. I can't like. He's like, they want you
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: to ride it out, you know, ride to their bike
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: around stuff like that. I was like, listen, I'm out.
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: I politely decline. He's like, you think we could get Taylor?
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: Because I was like, Taylor, that'd be something that he
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: would like like he would want to do like you
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: love their bikes love. But knowing that, Taylor said, Oh,
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: I'm like, it's all You're gonna have to just frame
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: it well because he's out there and mexicell Right now, boys,
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: we obviously were taking the heat.
- 1:20:20Speaker 6: We're kind of taken.
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: You're about to come back around and ask him something
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: about Supercross, which we're in the middle of Spring tour,
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: we're doing all these other things. I'm like, you're just
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: gonna have to It's gonna be about how you frame it.
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: And then I was telling Mitch. I was like, just
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: we'll text later and I'll help you craft your text.
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: Bas yes, I will text. You should try and say
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: to because I was like, you're gonna have to go
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: on whatever he says. If he says no, then don't
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: bug them about it, like it's going to be a no.
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: And I was like, I'll write your text and you
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: can send it. Taylor and I that is crazy manipulation
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: by it. I know, I know it is, but I
- 1:20:51Speaker 3: could see Mitch. It seemed like he was like, I
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: know we're getting the bike, and in my brain I'm
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: thinking you would enjoy doing it.
- 1:20:57Speaker 6: But again completely understand.
- 1:20:59Speaker 4: That we talked about, you know, how much I was
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: missing my family.
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. I was hurting, and so I
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: was trying to think of a way that it could
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: seem you know that obviously get you to say yeah,
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: like you're gonna have to know if he does it
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: within an hour, then he's gone within the hour, like
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: all this stuff to like try to get the boy
- 1:21:15Speaker 3: a win as well. Taylor and I ended up talking
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: on the phone. I was like, Hey, I'm just gonna
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: tell you mitche ask.
- 1:21:20Speaker 6: You a question.
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: I forget how I loved its gonna.
- 1:21:24Speaker 6: Ask you something and was like, here we fucking go.
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: And I was like, I said whatever, it was the
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: Supercross than their back. I was like, listen, you say no,
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: it's truly all good. I told him I've already prepped
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: him where you basically saying no, but if you want
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: to do it, I thought there was you were going
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: to go yeah. Yeah.
- 1:21:41Speaker 4: I literally told Will I was like, it is dope.
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: I was like, but it's my anniversary. Yeah, and I
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: need to obviously I have to ask Talor and if
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: I even get a hint that she might feel some
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: type of way about it, the answer is without a doubt,
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: no zero. So I called Taylor literally when we hung up,
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: and I was like, guess what.
- 1:22:00Speaker 6: Which Even then, you gotta kind of craft.
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: I know, you gotta you hit. Just be like, they're
- 1:22:04Speaker 4: giving us a dirt bike on four to twenty, we
- 1:22:05Speaker 4: gotta go do it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. I
- 1:22:08Speaker 4: was like, you want to know good news the bad news.
- 1:22:12Speaker 4: She goes, she goes, what's the bad news. I know
- 1:22:15Speaker 4: there's something that people want me to do on our anniversary.
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: And she said, what's the good news. I was like,
- 1:22:24Speaker 4: I'm getting a dirt bike and she goes, that's She
- 1:22:31Speaker 4: literally goes, there's like a Pauser. She goes, dude, that's
- 1:22:34Speaker 4: fucking sick. I was like, oh, for real, Yeah I
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: thought so too. But it's our anniversary, dude, I will
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: not do this. I will not, like I swear to God,
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: I will not do it if blah blah blah. She's like, no,
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: how long do you need? I was like, I told them,
- 1:22:47Speaker 4: I will tell them one hour. She's like, perfect, yeah,
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: let's go do it.
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: Boom, And then I had to wait.
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: And then even then I had to wait like two
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: three days, and I was like, I have to text
- 1:22:57Speaker 4: Mitch about having an answer.
- 1:23:00Speaker 3: Are you scared for?
- 1:23:01Speaker 8: I was nervous the entire time.
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: What are you talking about? Do you know who?
- 1:23:04Speaker 5: You like?
- 1:23:05Speaker 7: What did you see me?
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: Matt? Well, No, no, no, not that you were mad
- 1:23:07Speaker 3: that she It's not that. It's just that he's bringing
- 1:23:09Speaker 3: up another super Cross question and we ball busted obviously
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: every time because it comes up. He's like, hey, so.
- 1:23:16Speaker 6: Another brand wants you to do this. It's like, bro,
- 1:23:18Speaker 6: I mean remember the private jet we've been rocking with
- 1:23:20Speaker 6: Twisted Tea.
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, he brought up a private jet opportunity that
- 1:23:24Speaker 3: fucking didn't work out.
- 1:23:26Speaker 6: So every idea jet brings up.
- 1:23:28Speaker 4: For Miami, yeah, said at me, and we're like, all right,
- 1:23:31Speaker 4: yeah Mitch, no callback, no.
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: Callback, every idea like you'll come up with. You're just like, fun,
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: when's this one gonna blow up? God? Yo?
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: But I think I was maybe the second most excited
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: person there.
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: Your dad was number one.
- 1:23:46Speaker 8: Oh yeah, my dad was just he was just talking
- 1:23:49Speaker 8: to like didn't behind the scenes people, just about the
- 1:23:51Speaker 8: engines and stuff, just trying to like learn more about
- 1:23:53Speaker 8: it because he's been doing it for like thirty years.
- 1:23:56Speaker 8: And but they were My parents kept saying like four
- 1:23:59Speaker 8: or five times. They The coolest thing was seeing how
- 1:24:01Speaker 8: excited you were, because you had like that little kid
- 1:24:04Speaker 8: like energy, like holy shit, like it's here, we got it.
- 1:24:06Speaker 4: You be a dip dude.
- 1:24:07Speaker 6: I was in your excitement and nerves to get.
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: On and be like, oh I knew I was gonna
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: do that too. Oh I knew it.
- 1:24:13Speaker 4: And Delany was like, you can't do it, like the
- 1:24:14Speaker 4: whole time. Lad's like in my ear like don't you
- 1:24:16Speaker 4: can't fuck up. I'm like, yu, I'm so nervous. And
- 1:24:19Speaker 4: I was like just like dealing with those and I
- 1:24:22Speaker 4: was like.
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: Oh my god, and all the program I didn't even
- 1:24:24Speaker 3: look that, didn't even you did that. Just from my eye,
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: it didn't seem like anything had happened.
- 1:24:29Speaker 4: The pro guys came up to me, we're like doing
- 1:24:31Speaker 4: the hey, it happens.
- 1:24:32Speaker 8: Those two like, no, do me that thing?
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: Maybe actually feel worse. I was like, please stop. I
- 1:24:37Speaker 4: understand I fucked up, and I know you're trying to
- 1:24:40Speaker 4: make me feel good. But the second one out almost no, no, no, no,
- 1:24:45Speaker 4: Like I like I let the clutch out and I
- 1:24:46Speaker 4: put the throttle down a little bit and I kind
- 1:24:48Speaker 4: of just puttered out on me. This second one that
- 1:24:50Speaker 4: was kind of weird because I had the clutching still
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: and I pressed I put it in the first and
- 1:24:54Speaker 4: then all of a sudden just turned off and I
- 1:24:55Speaker 4: just I put my hands. I was like, I'm very
- 1:24:57Speaker 4: nervous right now. Everyone please and the guy over and
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: like tweet the clutch from me. I'm like, man, it's perfect,
- 1:25:02Speaker 4: that's that's gonna do it. And did actually, so I
- 1:25:04Speaker 4: was really happy about it. But even then you hear
- 1:25:06Speaker 4: me driving off, but it sounds like the bike could
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: stall it any second.
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: I was so nervous.
- 1:25:11Speaker 4: Yeah, before too, they were like, this is a race
- 1:25:13Speaker 4: engine can't like on this road, be very careful, slips
- 1:25:16Speaker 4: very easily. So like then I started getting my head
- 1:25:19Speaker 4: a little bit, like, man, what if I just.
- 1:25:21Speaker 3: Tip this thing?
- 1:25:22Speaker 4: And I guess how long how long had it been
- 1:25:25Speaker 4: since I like driven an actual dirt bike. Probably sixteen
- 1:25:30Speaker 4: years old?
- 1:25:31Speaker 6: Is sixteen when you broke your foot or earlier?
- 1:25:33Speaker 4: And then no, I was twelve when I broke this
- 1:25:34Speaker 4: with you, your boy, I know, Joe. I put a
- 1:25:36Speaker 4: little thing on this on Twitter. But like I would
- 1:25:38Speaker 4: get up in the morning before like middle school and
- 1:25:41Speaker 4: high school, like six am. And go ride my dirt
- 1:25:44Speaker 4: bike in the state Land for like an hour, and
- 1:25:46Speaker 4: then I would come home and get ready for school.
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: And I would get home and I would get all
- 1:25:50Speaker 4: my dirt bike and drive to the gas station. I
- 1:25:52Speaker 4: will I would drive on the roads and then the
- 1:25:54Speaker 4: police would get behind me and put in the hitsone.
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: I was just going to the desert.
- 1:25:58Speaker 4: I literally was. I like, I felt invincible with the
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: dirt bike. It was insane.
- 1:26:02Speaker 6: That's cool, friend, dude.
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: I truly thought I would go to the super Pumper
- 1:26:08Speaker 4: gas station on the corner of Dynamite and Tatum, and
- 1:26:11Speaker 4: I'd get a microwave burrito and I'd fill my gas
- 1:26:14Speaker 4: tank up and it costs like a dollar fifty and
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: I'd bring change I put on the counter like Pump three,
- 1:26:22Speaker 4: like twelve years old.
- 1:26:23Speaker 3: God pump three, dude, Travis Pastranaus, I know, yeah, that'd
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: be so sick vlog with them. Get him on the bus,
- 1:26:30Speaker 3: I know, dude. It literally like.
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: That was when I saw that bike. When I saw
- 1:26:34Speaker 4: the bus with the boys on the sides and everything,
- 1:26:36Speaker 4: I was like, this is that is probably the coolest gift.
- 1:26:39Speaker 4: I feel weird saying that because I felt there's a
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: cool gift I've been given out there.
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: But still from a nostalgia standpoint, little kid, the little
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: Kid and everything.
- 1:26:46Speaker 4: Else by far the coolest thing ever. And it was
- 1:26:49Speaker 4: cool that Mitch made it happen. And Mitch eats, sleeps
- 1:26:52Speaker 4: and breathes, only thinks about dirt.
- 1:26:53Speaker 6: By and we just ball bust them, ball bust him
- 1:26:56Speaker 6: for this last year.
- 1:26:57Speaker 3: It was truly, dude, it was the coolest thing.
- 1:27:00Speaker 4: Like I was at home, be like, hey day, we
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: got a like we just left it there too, Like
- 1:27:05Speaker 4: Delaney drove it here because I had to go my
- 1:27:08Speaker 4: I was five minutes late to win soccer game, pulled up.
- 1:27:11Speaker 4: I was a parent that pulled up and was like, I.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: Got out there.
- 1:27:13Speaker 3: She's like changing in the car on the way over.
- 1:27:16Speaker 4: Got her out there playing soccer.
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: She kicked up.
- 1:27:17Speaker 4: She's gotten better at soccer, by the way.
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: That's good.
- 1:27:19Speaker 4: Yeah, she's gotten better. Shout out win, got out win, rebel.
- 1:27:22Speaker 4: She's having fun now that's all it matters. Shout out Supercross.
- 1:27:25Speaker 7: Yeah nice, thanks to the dear bike. My shouting over
- 1:27:29Speaker 7: shadow goes to I guess taking a shot or chance
- 1:27:34Speaker 7: because this dude DM me on Instagram and you're gonna
- 1:27:37Speaker 7: be fired up about this. This is something that maybe
- 1:27:39Speaker 7: we can do as a group and maybe for like
- 1:27:41Speaker 7: a little under the hood or bus scenes. But he's
- 1:27:45Speaker 7: like been a huge chan of busting for years. Just
- 1:27:47Speaker 7: opened up a new Philly cheese steak spot in the
- 1:27:49Speaker 7: Nations here in Nashville. I love you guys, came out
- 1:27:52Speaker 7: for a cheese steak on the house, no free shout outs.
- 1:27:55Speaker 7: Brotherly Love cheese Steaks. Look us up, so Lance Harris,
- 1:28:00Speaker 7: maybe the I went and looked it up and they
- 1:28:02Speaker 7: look very promising. So that's something like with you know,
- 1:28:06Speaker 7: slow content week, a little bus scenes action, run out
- 1:28:09Speaker 7: there for lunch or something next week or this can
- 1:28:12Speaker 7: we get back? Yeah, we'll go today.
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: Next week would honestly be a great week. Everything's we
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: get a slower week next week and we get it.
- 1:28:20Speaker 7: On Tuesday next week.
- 1:28:21Speaker 4: Yeah down, We'll be out there Tuesday next week.
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: What is it?
- 1:28:26Speaker 6: Brotherly love?
- 1:28:26Speaker 7: Yeah, brother, they love cheese steaks and the Nation's so
- 1:28:29Speaker 7: official review coming soon. But yeah, you gotta appreciate a
- 1:28:32Speaker 7: guy just taking a shot, especially one of the lower
- 1:28:35Speaker 7: level guys here. It's like, probably can't get Willard Taylor
- 1:28:37Speaker 7: to respond. Maybe we can see if this other guy.
- 1:28:39Speaker 6: Will, so everybody. If you trying to get everybody d.
- 1:28:44Speaker 3: Don't do this, but following first, follow him first.
- 1:28:47Speaker 7: On the note of DMS, though, I did get another
- 1:28:49Speaker 7: one on Twitter just from a guy saying that they
- 1:28:51Speaker 7: bought thirteen of the boys hats for his bachelor party.
- 1:28:54Speaker 7: They're going on to that celebrity golf tournament they do
- 1:28:56Speaker 7: every year with like Pat and Oh, let's fucking go.
- 1:28:59Speaker 7: And he said, you bought thirteen of them for all
- 1:29:01Speaker 7: the homies and he's like, I'm just fired up. We're
- 1:29:02Speaker 7: all gonna be like strapped up.
- 1:29:04Speaker 6: And I was like, yeah, let's go.
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: Hey, but for real, everybody d M Jack McPherson and
- 1:29:10Speaker 3: just asking a ridiculous question. Yeah, no, no, no, just
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: a question. I ask for a ridiculous ask question. They
- 1:29:20Speaker 3: don't even they don't.
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: Uh, brother they love cheesteaks, M do you.
- 1:29:26Speaker 7: No, Tom Lance Harris. I guess he's the owner. He's
- 1:29:31Speaker 7: just saying it's called brotherly love Cheesesteaks.
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, local boy, Yeah, hometown cheese steak, the local boys. Yeah,
- 1:29:38Speaker 3: got it. We gotta get Mitch's review on him, even
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: though I highly question his Uh.
- 1:29:42Speaker 8: I have no idea, What a Philly cheesteak is? You
- 1:29:45Speaker 8: think fucking mushrooms going?
- 1:29:46Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: Mitch, I watched a total a little bit that is
- 1:29:48Speaker 4: your brooms.
- 1:29:50Speaker 3: Crazy peppers.
- 1:29:52Speaker 8: It's onions.
- 1:29:54Speaker 6: It out here, you fucking go.
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: You don't know what you're talking about. We had the
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: one in Columbus, Ohio that was a bank. It was
- 1:30:01Speaker 3: then what do you say, I don't know what a
- 1:30:03Speaker 3: cheese steak tastes like.
- 1:30:04Speaker 8: I didn't say you think all these extras? Go ahead?
- 1:30:07Speaker 3: Twisted Tea speaking of our twisted tea thereby. Twisted Tea
- 1:30:10Speaker 3: is a refreshing, hard iced tea made with real brood
- 1:30:13Speaker 3: tea and five percent alcohol. Full of flavor and very refreshing.
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: Twisted Tea goes down smooth and there is no carbonation,
- 1:30:20Speaker 3: which makes it easy to drink all day long. Twist
- 1:30:22Speaker 3: the tea feels fun and celebrates extreme fandom on game day.
- 1:30:26Speaker 3: It is the perfect alcohol for game day, whether tailgating
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: in the parking lot, watching at a bar, or watching
- 1:30:32Speaker 3: with some friends at home. Twisted Tea is there to
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: turn up your game day. Keep it twisted with the boys.
- 1:30:38Speaker 3: Grab a refreshing twisted tea today, Mitch been a big
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: week for you. Let's keep it up with your twisted
- 1:30:43Speaker 3: question all right.
- 1:30:44Speaker 8: This one comes from Aaron Fiel on Instagram. Nervous. You
- 1:30:50Speaker 8: get four inches to divvy up between your height and
- 1:30:52Speaker 8: your piece. You can also substitute an inch for ten
- 1:30:57Speaker 8: pounds of muscle or to lose ten pounds of fat.
- 1:31:01Speaker 8: How are you divving up your four inches?
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: Starting with what we have? Now?
- 1:31:06Speaker 6: Four inches us?
- 1:31:08Speaker 3: Right now?
- 1:31:08Speaker 8: Yep?
- 1:31:09Speaker 3: So I can take four inches off my height and
- 1:31:11Speaker 3: put it on my piece.
- 1:31:13Speaker 8: No, you just get a four You just get four
- 1:31:15Speaker 8: extra inches.
- 1:31:16Speaker 3: Oh, we're just getting gifted four inches right now.
- 1:31:18Speaker 6: Yes, we can put it, We can put it harder.
- 1:31:20Speaker 7: What you're saying might make it a better question.
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: Is if you give an inch to your piece, it
- 1:31:26Speaker 4: takes away.
- 1:31:26Speaker 7: Yeah, it takes an inch from your heart.
- 1:31:29Speaker 6: What's the muscle and fat thing?
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: Again?
- 1:31:31Speaker 8: You can you can substitute an inch. You can substitute
- 1:31:34Speaker 8: an inch, and you can either.
- 1:31:36Speaker 6: Take kock an inch to get to lose fat.
- 1:31:38Speaker 8: So you can, like, say you had four you take
- 1:31:41Speaker 8: away an inch. You can either use that to get
- 1:31:43Speaker 8: ten extra pounds of like muscle, or lose ten pounds
- 1:31:47Speaker 8: of fat. But now you only have three inches left,
- 1:31:50Speaker 8: if that makes sense, Okay, I'm ready.
- 1:31:54Speaker 4: So basically, I'm gonna use one of my inches to
- 1:31:59Speaker 4: gain ten pounds of muscle, one of my inches to
- 1:32:01Speaker 4: take ten pounds of fat off one inch.
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: Brother, you I don't think you can take much more fat, Like,
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: what do you.
- 1:32:08Speaker 4: What do you mean?
- 1:32:09Speaker 7: Bro?
- 1:32:09Speaker 6: You're a lean, mean fighting machine. What are you trying
- 1:32:12Speaker 6: to You're trying to look sick?
- 1:32:14Speaker 5: Bro?
- 1:32:14Speaker 4: Ten pounds of muscle I'm balancing.
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: I wonder where your body fat is right now.
- 1:32:18Speaker 4: It's probably high teens, mid teens.
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: I bet it's around like ten or eleven. No fucking way,
- 1:32:23Speaker 3: I think.
- 1:32:23Speaker 5: So.
- 1:32:24Speaker 4: I appreciate you, by the way, making me blush even
- 1:32:26Speaker 4: though you tended don't mean his compliment. I will take
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: one inch to my penis and I'll subtract one inch
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: from my height, giving me another inch.
- 1:32:39Speaker 8: No, so the way the way will described it, Jack
- 1:32:43Speaker 8: or no.
- 1:32:45Speaker 3: Me, I'm taking one inch losing ten pounds of fat.
- 1:32:48Speaker 3: I'm putting one inch on my piece and I'm putting
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: the other two to my height. That's how I dealt
- 1:32:56Speaker 3: with That's a twisted question, right, Yeah, I just ate
- 1:33:00Speaker 3: saying Jack. I said something and Jack was like I
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: think that could be a better word.
- 1:33:05Speaker 8: Like if you if you add an inch to your piece,
- 1:33:07Speaker 8: you lose an inch to your height. Yeah, but then
- 1:33:10Speaker 8: if you add an inch to your height, you lose
- 1:33:11Speaker 8: an inch on your piece.
- 1:33:13Speaker 3: Right, I'll take two inches off my height if Yeah,
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: if we were doing that, I would probably just add
- 1:33:23Speaker 3: twenty pounds of muscle loose ten pounds of fat. Y. Yeah,
- 1:33:28Speaker 3: keep my height, keep my piece.
- 1:33:30Speaker 4: That's all you six to two?
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: About? What are we for real? Though?
- 1:33:38Speaker 6: About about six two?
- 1:33:39Speaker 3: About six two? And if you want to go off
- 1:33:41Speaker 3: like my proda and everything else, I'm flirting around like that.
- 1:33:44Speaker 3: I think six to one.
- 1:33:46Speaker 4: No, I'll give you six one and a half. I'll
- 1:33:48Speaker 4: give you six to two.
- 1:33:49Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying that obviously. Yeah, I'm just saying like,
- 1:33:54Speaker 3: I'll keep my height. Yeah, six to one. We can
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: say six to one.
- 1:33:57Speaker 4: So if I lose two inches off my height, where
- 1:34:00Speaker 4: is that? What do I get?
- 1:34:01Speaker 6: If you lose two inches off your height, you can
- 1:34:03Speaker 6: go two inches to your piece?
- 1:34:04Speaker 3: Okay, say monster?
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I know. Well now average Now we gotta remember.
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: Now we got something that I'm not afraid.
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: And this is a pipe like when we remember when
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: we were going to a Notre Dame. You said you
- 1:34:20Speaker 3: could barely fit your piece and a white That's how
- 1:34:25Speaker 3: I meant.
- 1:34:25Speaker 6: That is definitely how you meant.
- 1:34:27Speaker 7: I meant to say.
- 1:34:28Speaker 4: It was more commenting on how much weight to have lost.
- 1:34:30Speaker 4: It's my pieces you got bigger from losing.
- 1:34:34Speaker 8: I can't, I can't.
- 1:34:36Speaker 3: I remember the delivery.
- 1:34:38Speaker 4: It was a delivery.
- 1:34:39Speaker 3: I would.
- 1:34:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll take two inches off my height for sure.
- 1:34:43Speaker 4: I probably want two inches off my height anyway. I'm
- 1:34:45Speaker 4: a little I'm too tall.
- 1:34:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm kind of too I am too tall. I
- 1:34:50Speaker 3: think you're solid.
- 1:34:51Speaker 4: I mean you are, yeah, but six sevens like giraffe
- 1:34:55Speaker 4: people go when you walk by.
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: All I'm saying is that'd be a great usage of
- 1:35:00Speaker 3: your whatever it is, your four points. Yeah, because it
- 1:35:03Speaker 3: seems like it's either use your point as an inch
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: or gaining ten pounds of muscle or losing ten pounds
- 1:35:08Speaker 3: of fat. Is that what you guys are doing? What
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: are you guys doing? Yeah? Or if I switched it
- 1:35:13Speaker 3: up at all, it'd still be it'd be ten. If
- 1:35:15Speaker 3: I took an inch, I'd add it to my height
- 1:35:17Speaker 3: ten pounds to use one more point ten pounds of
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: muscle two points for twenty pounds of fat. You just
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: shook five points, no four, take one point, add it
- 1:35:27Speaker 3: to my height. So that's you just get to one point,
- 1:35:31Speaker 3: take one my second point, and add ten pounds of muscle,
- 1:35:34Speaker 3: my third and fourth point twenty pounds of fat. Keep
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: my very average, approachable.
- 1:35:41Speaker 4: Piece, huggable, huggable, presentable. It's handsome. Yeah, you've got a
- 1:35:47Speaker 4: handsome piece. That's really all that matters. Yeah, just searching
- 1:35:51Speaker 4: for mouth hugs.
- 1:35:52Speaker 3: I was gonna say, you haven't even seen them, stiff,
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: but you have, so have I?
- 1:36:03Speaker 6: Yeah, all right, what do you guys do?
- 1:36:06Speaker 8: All right, I'll add I'll take two points to my
- 1:36:10Speaker 8: height and I'll do one muscle in one fat.
- 1:36:14Speaker 3: Yeah, a little nub.
- 1:36:16Speaker 8: Is that what we're We're doing it the way.
- 1:36:18Speaker 3: Yeah, we're doing the way we've been talking about it. Yeah.
- 1:36:20Speaker 6: M hmm, jack, what are you going?
- 1:36:23Speaker 7: One all around, one piece, one high, ten muscle, ten
- 1:36:27Speaker 7: less fat?
- 1:36:28Speaker 8: Yeah, I think yeah.
- 1:36:29Speaker 7: So the only thing that change distribution, Yeah, just so
- 1:36:32Speaker 7: nothing changes too drastically. Ye're gonna be falling over you know.
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: Yeah, kickstand that mini me kickstand. Shall we get into
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: the uh coach landing at interview. This a banger, and
- 1:36:45Speaker 3: anybody from the Oregon fan base who's listened to one
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: hundred or an hour and forty minutes of our bullshit,
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: welcome to Busting with the boys.
- 1:36:53Speaker 6: This is but this has been a good bustle.
- 1:36:55Speaker 4: It's been a fun bust with the boys. This is
- 1:36:56Speaker 4: Busting the Boys at full power.
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, just the boys hanging to talk and chop
- 1:37:00Speaker 3: loving stories. But you guys are gonna love this coach
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: Landing episode. We talk about his journey, we talk about
- 1:37:07Speaker 3: the biggest moves he's made within his coaching career, having
- 1:37:11Speaker 3: a job, taking a lesser one just to you know,
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: give himself more opportunity and potential. He's got a group
- 1:37:16Speaker 3: chat that he runs where there's a committee involved in everything,
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: where the boy's going an annual trip. I might have
- 1:37:21Speaker 3: gotten the invite to that, really, but it's a fun episode.
- 1:37:24Speaker 3: You guys are really like this. But yeah, after this
- 1:37:27Speaker 3: ad read here is coach Dan Lanning, Hey, coach of Morgan.
- 1:37:33Speaker 4: We enter up this episode to bring you something called
- 1:37:36Speaker 4: true classic. And there's a whole sheet here. There's a
- 1:37:37Speaker 4: sheet up there that I could talk to you about.
- 1:37:39Speaker 4: But really it's about what I'm wearing right now. And
- 1:37:40Speaker 4: let me tell you, I'm a gentleman that stands at
- 1:37:43Speaker 4: six seven. My body's a whole different shapes, a whole
- 1:37:45Speaker 4: a bunch of different times, kind of like a Jonah
- 1:37:47Speaker 4: Hill type. And every time I would go to the
- 1:37:51Speaker 4: store and I would go, I'm gonna buy myself a
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: new pair of pants, I'm gonna get myself a new shirt,
- 1:37:55Speaker 4: I would truly run into a situation where I would
- 1:37:57Speaker 4: leave the store upset shirts too. Oh it's too baggy.
- 1:38:01Speaker 4: Now it's not fitting the way I like. Oh these
- 1:38:03Speaker 4: pants are great, but it's crabbing my thighs too much. Oh,
- 1:38:06Speaker 4: my little baby calves are now squeezing through.
- 1:38:08Speaker 3: Because they're too tight.
- 1:38:09Speaker 4: Oh the waistband, I can't get it going. I'm gonna
- 1:38:11Speaker 4: show you these that's my nugget right there. But look
- 1:38:14Speaker 4: at these little boys are here. These are the tighter
- 1:38:15Speaker 4: feeding ones. Let me see your nugget.
- 1:38:19Speaker 3: Yeah, because you like them tight, I do like them tight.
- 1:38:21Speaker 3: You can kind of see the outline right there.
- 1:38:24Speaker 8: But look at these things.
- 1:38:28Speaker 6: Yeah, they are extremely flexible.
- 1:38:32Speaker 7: Can you get the wine shot on this thing?
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: To watch this hit? A full squad that hurts my knee.
- 1:38:39Speaker 3: That's a great squat yeh.
- 1:38:40Speaker 7: And it's comfortable too.
- 1:38:42Speaker 4: They got stretched, they move around the waistband. These are
- 1:38:45Speaker 4: thirty six thirty six. If you're wondering, the waistband is
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: forgiving and it's got that. It doesn't have that waistband
- 1:38:51Speaker 4: you know when you put underwear on sometimes and then
- 1:38:53Speaker 4: the underwear like kind of grabs and you look back
- 1:38:55Speaker 4: at those hips and you're like, God, why do we
- 1:38:57Speaker 4: get that ripple effect going on? You don't get that
- 1:39:00Speaker 4: with these jeans. They fit comfortable, they fit sturdy, and
- 1:39:02Speaker 4: they're not going to drag down your.
- 1:39:03Speaker 3: Ass if you don't like him. If you don't like
- 1:39:05Speaker 3: him snug like that. They got different varieties. And I
- 1:39:08Speaker 3: see you, I see you rocking the Yeah, you rocking
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: the hoodie that was it's nice. That was a willy
- 1:39:13Speaker 3: Ce staple back in the fall or winter time.
- 1:39:14Speaker 4: And how many times are in the falls that I
- 1:39:16Speaker 4: look at you?
- 1:39:16Speaker 6: Oh so many times?
- 1:39:18Speaker 4: Yes, I was like, dude, where'd you get those?
- 1:39:20Speaker 3: Because they're they're button down, they're short sleeve button down
- 1:39:22Speaker 3: that I would rock on the Pro Football Football show.
- 1:39:25Speaker 3: And just their blank te's, I like just a sleek
- 1:39:28Speaker 3: plain tea fit you just right leaves a little like
- 1:39:31Speaker 3: you said, leaves a little wind to kind of you know,
- 1:39:33Speaker 3: if you're a little if you feel a little heavier,
- 1:39:35Speaker 3: like Burt Kreischer would put this on and he looked
- 1:39:37Speaker 3: like an athlete. Yeah, there's no question about that.
- 1:39:40Speaker 4: It grabs the shirts, they grab the shoulders and the chest,
- 1:39:43Speaker 4: but then they kind of let you live a little
- 1:39:45Speaker 4: bit and the tots.
- 1:39:46Speaker 3: How you got a casual look, the casual feel that
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: you want every day, but also a little bit of
- 1:39:51Speaker 3: like professionalism. Right, Maybe that's not the right word professionalism,
- 1:39:56Speaker 3: because it was like it's like a balance in between
- 1:39:58Speaker 3: the two to where you're you're comfortable, you're relaxed all day,
- 1:40:01Speaker 3: but you can wear something to where you can kind
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: of like rock around the office if you know your
- 1:40:04Speaker 3: office that you wear some casual wear.
- 1:40:06Speaker 4: Yeah, and a lot of people like to wear like
- 1:40:08Speaker 4: stuff with a bunch of like designer that this dude
- 1:40:11Speaker 4: you walk around with these clothes on. It's like, Oh,
- 1:40:12Speaker 4: that's just sharp dressed man right there. That's an easy time.
- 1:40:15Speaker 4: That's a sharp dressed man just walking by.
- 1:40:17Speaker 6: He's not trying to make colors.
- 1:40:18Speaker 4: Like good colors, like good quality fabrics. Dude, Well, I'll
- 1:40:22Speaker 4: read you a couple of points, but I really want
- 1:40:23Speaker 4: to tell you how I actually feel because first time
- 1:40:26Speaker 4: in my life, this is the first time in my
- 1:40:28Speaker 4: life that I have owned more than three pairs of
- 1:40:32Speaker 4: pants that I truly will be like, I could wear
- 1:40:34Speaker 4: any of these any day of the week.
- 1:40:35Speaker 6: You were fired up and we got this when they
- 1:40:37Speaker 6: came on board.
- 1:40:37Speaker 4: One of the first things I said when I saw you,
- 1:40:39Speaker 4: I gave you a big, a big boy hug. We
- 1:40:41Speaker 4: had a nice embrace after not seeing each other for
- 1:40:42Speaker 4: thirty days, and I go, dude, I got my true classes. Yeah,
- 1:40:46Speaker 4: so far I was wearing the sweatpants.
- 1:40:47Speaker 3: I was wearing the sweatpants. Yeah.
- 1:40:48Speaker 4: And now for thirty six thirty six, they don't have
- 1:40:50Speaker 4: thirty six length yet. The boys they made this for me,
- 1:40:53Speaker 4: but if you're six five and over, they're making they're
- 1:40:56Speaker 4: coming out with thirty six length very very soon. So
- 1:40:58Speaker 4: you guys, get really excited about that couple of points
- 1:41:02Speaker 4: because we had fun with that. But just in case,
- 1:41:04Speaker 4: the active, the active where crude net provides moisture working,
- 1:41:07Speaker 4: odor control, quick dry and are made with that's a

- 1:41:49Speaker 4: this partnership to know that I can walk around and
- 1:41:52Speaker 4: close that fit. I'm not looking like I'm waiting for
- 1:41:53Speaker 4: a flood to come with my ankles, always showing like
- 1:41:55Speaker 4: life is good on my end.
- 1:41:57Speaker 3: Enjoy Coach Dan Lanning. When I listened to Brenhaman's because
- 1:42:02Speaker 3: I did one with him as well. He like came
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: out to Nashville and we set out, and I was
- 1:42:06Speaker 3: listening to hers on Brennaman and learning about Missouri, being
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: a Missouri boy and everything else, like are we rolling,
- 1:42:13Speaker 3: We're good to go. I was listening to Adam Brenneman's
- 1:42:16Speaker 3: interview with you, and it was juicy bro like thinking
- 1:42:20Speaker 3: number one. Both Missouri Boys. So everybody listening right now
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: said the boys. Yeah, they showed me state Missouri Boys
- 1:42:25Speaker 3: and being a high school coach at Park South and
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: driving fucking thirteen hours off of a coach's clinic connection. Yeah,
- 1:42:34Speaker 3: there was a I mean I want to because those
- 1:42:36Speaker 3: things are chaotic. Yeah, they didn't really know me.
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: It was one of those like I'd gotten a phone call,
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: I'd sent letters everywhere, I'd gotten a phone call, and
- 1:42:43Speaker 2: I just told my wife was like, this is the
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: first time anybody's even called me back.
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: And then it kind of came and went and said
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: I gotta go drive there. I gotta go, you know,
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: take a chance.
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: Yeah. But like my brother, he's a high school coach
- 1:42:53Speaker 3: and he kind of came out to one of the
- 1:42:54Speaker 3: coaching conventions they hold him at. There's one in Nashville
- 1:42:57Speaker 3: at the Opera or whatever, and they're just like, it's
- 1:42:59Speaker 3: just like at Zoo. I mean, the who's who, they're there,
- 1:43:01Speaker 3: they're out there, they're having a good time or whatever.
- 1:43:03Speaker 3: It's just you know, you go to Nashville and then
- 1:43:05Speaker 3: a lot of guys, I'm assuming like yourself at that time,
- 1:43:07Speaker 3: you're sending emails, letters and everything. You're just literally trying
- 1:43:11Speaker 3: to get in the hand and shake a hand. I
- 1:43:13Speaker 3: want to have a conversation.
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: I want to I want to pour coffee like whatever,
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: just to get in the building.
- 1:43:18Speaker 6: Well, but where did that? Where did that come from?
- 1:43:20Speaker 8: For you?
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: Is it dead linebacker mentality? You know that?
- 1:43:22Speaker 2: And just never wanted to live with regret and and
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: early on realizing okay, like I have a greater passion
- 1:43:28Speaker 2: for this.
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: You know, para teacher conferences those are cool and all.
- 1:43:31Speaker 2: Yeah, but I want to coach ball. Yeah, and I
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: want to be somewhere where it's about ball more often
- 1:43:35Speaker 2: than not.
- 1:43:36Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: Uh, even that's changed in college football, you know, but uh,
- 1:43:40Speaker 2: the aspiration just to get to the highest level and
- 1:43:42Speaker 2: and not sit here and say, man, maybe I could
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: have if I would have sacrificed something.
- 1:43:46Speaker 3: So has it always been that way? If you always
- 1:43:48Speaker 3: wanted to be a head coach, I don't know, or
- 1:43:50Speaker 3: chase the dream head coach?
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I always wanted to see you know where, and uh,
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: you know what the end all goal could be, you
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: know what what you could achieve and some of that
- 1:43:57Speaker 2: reset you know, I've told people this four but when
- 1:44:00Speaker 2: my wife got sick. You know, it kind of made
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: you say, okay, like step back, who really cares about
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: this other stuff. It's about your family, It's about taking
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: care of your three boys. And I probably I was
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: probably really selfish early on in my career, right, like
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: how can I move up the ladder? You know, there's
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: only one o line coach or one linebacker coach in
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: each town. So if you're gonna continue advance, you gotta
- 1:44:18Speaker 2: youa leave town. You gotta go somewhere else.
- 1:44:20Speaker 3: And and and you're in you're literally twelve hours a day.
- 1:44:22Speaker 3: I more, sometimes more.
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: Than that when yeah, yeah, when we're I mean you
- 1:44:26Speaker 2: sleep in the office especially, you know, early on in
- 1:44:28Speaker 2: your career, there probably hasn't been a place that I've
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: worked where I haven't slept in the office at some point,
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: you know, wherever I'm at, and uh, that's sometimes that's
- 1:44:34Speaker 2: required sometimes, you know, I've learned how to be a
- 1:44:36Speaker 2: little bit more.
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: Efficient there and balance it. But you have to be
- 1:44:40Speaker 1: willing to do more when you're at the bottom of
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: the totem pole right to advance.
- 1:44:43Speaker 3: And if for any GA's young coaches out there listening,
- 1:44:47Speaker 3: like what what are those gritty things that you would
- 1:44:50Speaker 3: be more willing to do than the next guy, because
- 1:44:53Speaker 3: there's so many of g there's so many of those
- 1:44:55Speaker 3: guys that's trying to get their foot in the door.
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: You obviously, you know you're driving thirteen hours just for
- 1:44:59Speaker 3: an interview a pit just to I think I believe
- 1:45:02Speaker 3: I heard right. The coaches were at Penn State that day,
- 1:45:04Speaker 3: so it didn't even happen that day. You're changing into
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: a suit at the gas station and you're talking about
- 1:45:08Speaker 3: you're alluded to things like not everybody's willing to pour
- 1:45:11Speaker 3: a cup of coffee. Make sure the guy ahead of
- 1:45:13Speaker 3: you his call sheet looks the way he wants it,
- 1:45:16Speaker 3: because if he gets promoted, I could be a guy
- 1:45:18Speaker 3: that you know, I was joking with JP Dee, or
- 1:45:20Speaker 3: I know how to run the computer, I know how
- 1:45:21Speaker 3: to run the technology out. What What are some bits
- 1:45:24Speaker 3: of advice you would give to those young coach?
- 1:45:26Speaker 2: Yeah, just I think every coach has aspirations of being
- 1:45:28Speaker 2: the offensive coordinator, the defensive coordinator, the head coach. And
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: the reality is you got to go find all the
- 1:45:32Speaker 2: jobs that nobody wants to do and become the best
- 1:45:34Speaker 2: at them, right, Like like making a call sheet and
- 1:45:37Speaker 2: you know, making yourself to where when this guy leaves,
- 1:45:39Speaker 2: he's like, hey, how do I open up this file?
- 1:45:41Speaker 3: Yeah? You know, how do I create this?
- 1:45:43Speaker 6: How can I make this cut up when the film
- 1:45:44Speaker 6: shuts down?
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: Yeah? Find all that?
- 1:45:46Speaker 2: I mean, I remember going to men's warehouse to pick
- 1:45:47Speaker 2: up a coach of socks. You know, certainly wasn't what
- 1:45:49Speaker 2: I wanted to do at the time.
- 1:45:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:45:51Speaker 2: Right, But if that, you know, gave me favor with
- 1:45:53Speaker 2: that coach for an opportunity to you know, be his
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: guy that he trusted, then you do whatever it is, is.
- 1:45:59Speaker 3: The head coach gig everything you thought it'd be. You know,
- 1:46:01Speaker 3: I love a lot of pieces of it.
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: I love the fact that you get to interact with
- 1:46:05Speaker 2: more position groups than just one side of the ball.
- 1:46:08Speaker 2: There's certainly a lot of headaches, but every job has headaches.
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: I mean, it's it's a ton of fun, and it's
- 1:46:12Speaker 2: a lot of fun in this place. It's just, you know,
- 1:46:14Speaker 2: fun being a place where you have great support and
- 1:46:16Speaker 2: where you have players that are really good.
- 1:46:18Speaker 3: If let's just hypothetically say the cameras are turned off,
- 1:46:22Speaker 3: what's one thing you bitch about the cameras? Yah? Yeah,
- 1:46:24Speaker 3: what's one thing you's bitch about with the job, Oh,
- 1:46:26Speaker 3: let's just say complain.
- 1:46:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll be honest, I don't. I don't bitch a
- 1:46:29Speaker 2: lot because I realize how lucky and fortunate I am.
- 1:46:31Speaker 2: I mean, I think the landscape of college football is
- 1:46:34Speaker 2: changing drastically and everybody, everybody speaks to that.
- 1:46:36Speaker 3: Do you love every piece of that?
- 1:46:38Speaker 2: No?
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: But you better be willing to adapt.
- 1:46:39Speaker 2: I think the more time you spend complaining, you know,
- 1:46:43Speaker 2: the less you are focusing on getting better. And I
- 1:46:45Speaker 2: don't take a lot of those problems home. One of
- 1:46:46Speaker 2: the benefits for me is my wife never really asked
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: me about work, which I don't want her to. Yeah,
- 1:46:51Speaker 2: I spend all my time talking about work at work,
- 1:46:53Speaker 2: so when I get home, it's that chance to uh,
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: you know, kind of kind of check out after you
- 1:46:57Speaker 2: can get done making your recruiting calls and stuff.
- 1:46:59Speaker 3: You're talking earlier about how your perspective shifted, like when
- 1:47:02Speaker 3: your wife had gotten sick and everything else. How do you,
- 1:47:05Speaker 3: I guess, work on that work life balance when you know,
- 1:47:08Speaker 3: because especially in the you know, really any industry, if
- 1:47:11Speaker 3: you're somebody who's ambitious to do anything great, you got
- 1:47:14Speaker 3: to be a little cynical. You got to be a
- 1:47:15Speaker 3: little obsessive. You got to like, like you said, like
- 1:47:17Speaker 3: you're you're selfish because you're trying to go after your thing.
- 1:47:20Speaker 3: Talk about how you worked on that work life balance
- 1:47:23Speaker 3: as your perspective shifted.
- 1:47:24Speaker 2: Well, one thing I'll say is that there isn't balance.
- 1:47:26Speaker 2: You know, there is no balance in this profession. There's
- 1:47:28Speaker 2: no balance in your profession. We want to be great, right,
- 1:47:30Speaker 2: so there's gonna be sacrificed. We talked to the same
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: thing with our players, like, if you want to be
- 1:47:33Speaker 2: great at something, you've got to be willing to sacrifice
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: something that's valuable, right, And one of those things we
- 1:47:38Speaker 2: sacrifice is time with our family. So that's not going
- 1:47:40Speaker 2: to come back for me to be the best coach
- 1:47:42Speaker 2: I can be here at Oregon, I'm gonna be eliminating
- 1:47:45Speaker 2: some of that time that I spend with my crew.
- 1:47:47Speaker 2: And what it means is when I do have that time,
- 1:47:49Speaker 2: it's got to be important. It's got to be intentional.
- 1:47:52Speaker 2: You gotta figure out ways to incorporate what you got
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: to do with work with what you got to do
- 1:47:55Speaker 2: at home. So like last night, the entire team's over
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: at my house, right, hanging out with my wife and
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: kids to be with my family, but they get to
- 1:48:01Speaker 2: be there too, the extended family.
- 1:48:05Speaker 3: When when your wife was sick, was there ever a
- 1:48:09Speaker 3: moment to where you thought, Okay, maybe I need to shift,
- 1:48:12Speaker 3: Maybe this isn't what I need to go after, maybe
- 1:48:15Speaker 3: I need to do something else, like talk about those
- 1:48:18Speaker 3: moments to where there I would assume that there were
- 1:48:20Speaker 3: some lows and even some hard conversations.
- 1:48:22Speaker 2: I would assume, yeah, there were, there were certainly some lows.
- 1:48:26Speaker 2: You know, I don't think I ever wavered and what
- 1:48:27Speaker 2: I wanted to be able to do. Uh, I just
- 1:48:30Speaker 2: probably became a man of faith a lot more and
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: got on my knees a little bit more, you know,
- 1:48:34Speaker 2: speaking to a greater power to say, hey, I can't
- 1:48:36Speaker 2: do this alone. I need this lady here with me.
- 1:48:38Speaker 2: And uh, I always knew that I was going to continue, coach.
- 1:48:40Speaker 2: I don't think that ever that ever shifted. But you
- 1:48:42Speaker 2: got to solve problems. You know, you have to get
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: a sitter, you have to get somebody that can kind
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: of help out with the kids. And you know, more
- 1:48:49Speaker 2: than anything, it probably shifts your aspirations in your focus.
- 1:48:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm uh again, fascinated listening to uh To Breneman's
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: interview with you. But we got to sit with coach
- 1:48:59Speaker 3: Norvelle a couple of weeks ago, and something that really
- 1:49:01Speaker 3: stood out talking to him is when he's sitting there,
- 1:49:03Speaker 3: he's just preaching gospel about you know, his how he
- 1:49:07Speaker 3: worked and very similar to your style of coming through
- 1:49:10Speaker 3: it all. But one thing that stood out was like
- 1:49:12Speaker 3: never working for the job that you currently have, always
- 1:49:15Speaker 3: working for the next job. That was something walking away
- 1:49:17Speaker 3: from its like, oh, that's like, you know, that's something juicy.
- 1:49:20Speaker 3: You love to hear. You see him very much cut
- 1:49:23Speaker 3: from the same cloth. What are some things that you
- 1:49:24Speaker 3: learned from Coach norvel getting to work under him.
- 1:49:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, Mike has a crazy passion for the game.
- 1:49:31Speaker 2: When it comes to like his intensity. You want to
- 1:49:33Speaker 2: see that start at the top, right. You want to
- 1:49:36Speaker 2: a head coach that you know he's not going to
- 1:49:38Speaker 2: ask you to do anything that he's not willing to do.
- 1:49:40Speaker 2: He put in the work, he put in the time,
- 1:49:42Speaker 2: He looked at things outside the box, right, And that's
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: what I hope people see here is one you.
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: See the details because all the details matter.
- 1:49:49Speaker 3: Especially at this level.
- 1:49:51Speaker 2: But a guy that's willing to put it in everything
- 1:49:53Speaker 2: that they have to for us to be successful, and
- 1:49:54Speaker 2: willing to adapt and change.
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: I think that's where a lot of coaches mess up.
- 1:49:58Speaker 3: I know you've said that they're too many moments, too many,
- 1:50:01Speaker 3: like you know, breakthrough moments. But is there one job
- 1:50:04Speaker 3: shift that you made, a one decision that you made
- 1:50:06Speaker 3: that really kind of puts you in the right spot
- 1:50:09Speaker 3: to where you knew some things might come together sooner
- 1:50:12Speaker 3: rather than later because of a choice that you made.
- 1:50:14Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:50:14Speaker 2: It's something I can appreciate now more than I did
- 1:50:16Speaker 2: probably at the moment. I was a full time coach
- 1:50:19Speaker 2: at sam Houston State as a dB coach. I was
- 1:50:21Speaker 2: finally making a little bit of money. We had three
- 1:50:23Speaker 2: kids and kind of living under our means, and I
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: got an opportunity to be a graduate assistant in Alabama.
- 1:50:29Speaker 3: And if you go back and look at.
- 1:50:29Speaker 2: That staff now as an all star staff, you crazy staff.
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: You know Coach Saban, Coach Smart, you know Lane Kiff
- 1:50:35Speaker 2: and Mario Cristobaul mel Tucker, Billy Napier. I mean, the
- 1:50:39Speaker 2: list kind of just goes on and on, and the
- 1:50:41Speaker 2: guys that are on that staff and I learned more
- 1:50:43Speaker 2: in football that year in twenty fifteen than I'd ever
- 1:50:46Speaker 2: learned in my career.
- 1:50:47Speaker 3: What was that interview like, going out to going out
- 1:50:50Speaker 3: to interview with that with Alabama?
- 1:50:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, nothing that I had ever been prepared for.
- 1:50:54Speaker 2: You know, I kind of assumed i'd be a fly
- 1:50:56Speaker 2: on the wall, and this is a GA job. It's
- 1:50:58Speaker 2: not like it's the most important role in the building.
- 1:51:00Speaker 2: But to sit there with coach saving and he's asking
- 1:51:02Speaker 2: you questions about your philosophy on pump protection, that's not
- 1:51:05Speaker 2: something I had dialed up ready.
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: You know, I have my thoughts and I shared him.
- 1:51:09Speaker 2: But you got to meet with everybody in the organization,
- 1:51:11Speaker 2: you know, from position coaches to administrative staff.
- 1:51:15Speaker 3: You know, I thought they did a really good job of.
- 1:51:16Speaker 2: Being meticulous in that process, getting feedback from everybody in
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: the building what you think of this guy.
- 1:51:21Speaker 3: So it's a lot of fun.
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: I still got the voicemail saved on my phone today
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: of coach Sabing calling and you know, saying, hey, give
- 1:51:26Speaker 2: me a call back.
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: Was him offering me the job.
- 1:51:28Speaker 3: Oh that's fucking awesome. Not deleting that. Yeah, did you
- 1:51:32Speaker 3: walk away from that interview being like, damn, I wasn't prepared.
- 1:51:34Speaker 2: Like no, I felt good about the interview, but the
- 1:51:36Speaker 2: process took a while, right, there were some other guys
- 1:51:39Speaker 2: they interviewed, and I didn't know that I was going
- 1:51:40Speaker 2: to get the job.
- 1:51:41Speaker 3: But you know, the big difference there is you go
- 1:51:43Speaker 3: take that job.
- 1:51:43Speaker 2: I'm making decent money, not great money, and you go
- 1:51:46Speaker 2: take that job. You're making twelve hundred bucks a month,
- 1:51:48Speaker 2: three kids, and you're don't have insurance. Again, all of
- 1:51:50Speaker 2: a sudden, you're on EBT. I mean, it doesn't make sense, right.
- 1:51:54Speaker 3: You're just cutting up tape for all the cutouts for
- 1:51:56Speaker 3: all the personnels and formations. Yeah, you're doing a little
- 1:51:58Speaker 3: bit of everything, doing a little bit of everything.
- 1:51:59Speaker 2: So it's uh, you know, you take a step backwards
- 1:52:02Speaker 2: financially to take a step forwards from a professional standpoint.
- 1:52:05Speaker 3: Yeah, you got any good Kiffin stories? I got some
- 1:52:08Speaker 3: good Kif I've seen some.
- 1:52:09Speaker 6: You got one that you can tell.
- 1:52:11Speaker 3: I don't know what I got.
- 1:52:13Speaker 2: I'll say this, I've seen Lane and he can take
- 1:52:15Speaker 2: an ass chewing, you know, And I've seen that happen before,
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: you know, multiple times. You know, it's something he was
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: He became privy to there at Alabama. But he was
- 1:52:26Speaker 2: able to dust it off pretty well. You know, it
- 1:52:28Speaker 2: never really affected him.
- 1:52:29Speaker 3: Yeah, that's awesome. Well, I think we had a body
- 1:52:31Speaker 3: armor question. Do we just got to say body arm
- 1:52:33Speaker 3: or do I need to do it like a little read? Okay, okay,
- 1:52:39Speaker 3: because I do want to ask. I want to ask
- 1:52:41Speaker 3: your your biggest ass chewing story that you took personally
- 1:52:47Speaker 3: that just had you beaten down from a certain coach
- 1:52:50Speaker 3: or any coach from any Let's do both. Let's see both.
- 1:52:53Speaker 6: Well, I mean, did you ever have one? Did you
- 1:52:54Speaker 6: ever have one?
- 1:52:55Speaker 3: Saving? Yeah?
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: And it's the craziest deal because you know, the best
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: position to be at in Alabama with coach saving is
- 1:53:02Speaker 2: to really be in the outfield.
- 1:53:03Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: You got the infield that's all the full time coaches.
- 1:53:05Speaker 2: But to be in the outfield, you're kind of safe.
- 1:53:07Speaker 2: Like you're the guys that laugh at all the head
- 1:53:09Speaker 2: coaches jokes. You see other guys get their ass rip,
- 1:53:11Speaker 2: but you're kind of it's not your.
- 1:53:14Speaker 3: Position, it's not so. I was in the outfield. I
- 1:53:16Speaker 3: was a GA.
- 1:53:18Speaker 2: But I remember we ran a kids camp and we
- 1:53:20Speaker 2: must have been working like seven eight year old kids, right,
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: But he ran kids camp like we're running Alabama like
- 1:53:26Speaker 2: fall training camp, and this is I get there kind
- 1:53:30Speaker 2: of late, and I'm kind of just learning the process.
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: I'm a little bit of a fly on the wall.
- 1:53:33Speaker 2: And one of our strength coaches is running back drills
- 1:53:36Speaker 2: and he leaves, right, So he leaves the bag drills.
- 1:53:38Speaker 3: He got to go work out our guys.
- 1:53:39Speaker 2: So I just started doing back drills like I did
- 1:53:40Speaker 2: at park Hill South, or like I did at Sam
- 1:53:42Speaker 2: Houston State, and I was not doing bag drills right.
- 1:53:45Speaker 2: Coach Saban came over and it happened to be a
- 1:53:47Speaker 2: day that Paul Finebaum was falling around, and he let
- 1:53:50Speaker 2: into me. He let me know what bag drills were
- 1:53:51Speaker 2: supposed to look like, you know, and it was a
- 1:53:55Speaker 2: great example of how everything mattered to him.
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: It didn't matter we were coaching eight year olds, right,
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: It mattered what you were doing the drill.
- 1:54:00Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:54:00Speaker 2: So I stayed up that night and watched every drill
- 1:54:02Speaker 2: to make sure I had a mask or just in
- 1:54:04Speaker 2: case I got thrown in the fire.
- 1:54:05Speaker 3: Now, how about any coach the biggest, Oh.
- 1:54:07Speaker 2: Man, I've had a lot of them, right, I had
- 1:54:08Speaker 2: a lot of them. Curry Smart's, you know, a great
- 1:54:10Speaker 2: a professional. Given those you know, Todd Graham is the best.
- 1:54:15Speaker 3: But usually once you once you take a few year
- 1:54:17Speaker 3: kind of like and then you see the new guy
- 1:54:18Speaker 3: get it. You're like a it's part of the gig.
- 1:54:20Speaker 3: What was one that really puts you?
- 1:54:22Speaker 2: I'll say early as a coach, you know, Todd Graham
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: probably prepared me for a lot of future astruists.
- 1:54:27Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: So early as a coach, I was running the scout team.
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: You know, I was a gat this time. You only
- 1:54:32Speaker 2: had one ga on offense, one g on defense. I
- 1:54:34Speaker 2: was kind of coaching all eleven on offense. After practice
- 1:54:37Speaker 2: one day, Coach Graham goes, man, I'm sorry, you know,
- 1:54:40Speaker 2: I apologize. We have the worst scout team in the nation.
- 1:54:44Speaker 2: And it's not your fault. It's my fault because I
- 1:54:46Speaker 2: hired the guy. He runs the scout He points to me, right,
- 1:54:50Speaker 2: he runs the scout team, and he is the worst.
- 1:54:52Speaker 2: And I couldn't have been smaller in that moment. I've
- 1:54:55Speaker 2: just been coaching high school ball the year before, and uh,
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: let's just say this. The scout team got better. But
- 1:54:59Speaker 2: it was good humbling moment for me.
- 1:55:01Speaker 3: Oh fuck man, I'm just trying to just trying to
- 1:55:04Speaker 3: imagine in that moment, are you thinking that You're probably
- 1:55:06Speaker 3: thinking maybe of a couple of players like you if
- 1:55:07Speaker 3: you guys would have just fucking look at the court.
- 1:55:10Speaker 2: Oh no, in that moment, you're thinking about should I
- 1:55:12Speaker 2: stay a high school coach? Should I go back to
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: Missouri right now to go coach high school ball?
- 1:55:16Speaker 5: So?
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: Uh no, it's humbling experience, right which you can't cry
- 1:55:20Speaker 1: and spilled milk.
- 1:55:20Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, keep rolling. Talk about your process of being
- 1:55:24Speaker 3: the head coach of the University of Oregon. Wow, that
- 1:55:27Speaker 3: panned out for you.
- 1:55:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been great, And it really goes back to
- 1:55:30Speaker 2: the guys that I got to work with before. I
- 1:55:31Speaker 2: got to see some great coaches do this, you know,
- 1:55:33Speaker 2: whether and every one of them was different. Kirby's different
- 1:55:35Speaker 2: than Nick. You know, Nick's different than Mike. Mike's different
- 1:55:38Speaker 2: than Casey, Keeler and Todd, so the you know, I'm
- 1:55:41Speaker 2: relatively young in this position, but I got to see
- 1:55:43Speaker 2: a lot of really great coaches do it in this seat.
- 1:55:46Speaker 2: And I think the biggest thing I learned is I
- 1:55:47Speaker 2: got to be me right. But there is a process
- 1:55:49Speaker 2: that you believe in. Uh And I've probably stolen something
- 1:55:51Speaker 2: kind of from each guy. The other piece is figuring
- 1:55:54Speaker 2: out what the weakness is on your team and saying, Okay,
- 1:55:55Speaker 2: how are we attacking that rather than just rolling with
- 1:55:58Speaker 2: the script or the practice face that existed three hundred
- 1:56:00Speaker 2: and sixty five days ago. Because it is changing. So
- 1:56:04Speaker 2: I'm continuing to grow. I'm not there yet, right, I
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: got a lot of growth to make. That's the same
- 1:56:08Speaker 2: thing I challenge our players with. And if you want
- 1:56:09Speaker 2: to grow, you gotta get uncomfortable.
- 1:56:11Speaker 3: When you were in the interview process with becoming the
- 1:56:14Speaker 3: head coach of Oregon, was it a time where U
- 1:56:17Speaker 3: and I apologize for being unfamiliar with now all the
- 1:56:20Speaker 3: interview processes and everything else. But was it one of
- 1:56:23Speaker 3: those situations where you're hitting the interview circuit and thinking like, Okay,
- 1:56:26Speaker 3: maybe I'll be a year involved and kind of hit
- 1:56:29Speaker 3: this and kind of have it for the resume and
- 1:56:30Speaker 3: then maybe the next year or you got in the
- 1:56:32Speaker 3: room and they're like, hey, we can't let this man leave.
- 1:56:34Speaker 3: Like a story that I'm thinking of is McVeigh when
- 1:56:37Speaker 3: he went to the Rams when he was the OC
- 1:56:39Speaker 3: of Washington. You know, he was going in the interview circuit.
- 1:56:42Speaker 3: I remember sitting down having lunch with him, and he
- 1:56:45Speaker 3: was like, you know, this is usually where you know
- 1:56:47Speaker 3: you'll go around. You'll get in the interview circuit because
- 1:56:49Speaker 3: I've always been fascinated with getting and coaching as well, right,
- 1:56:52Speaker 3: And he was like, you know, I'll do this for
- 1:56:55Speaker 3: a year, kind of get in the conversations and everything else,
- 1:56:58Speaker 3: and usually it becomes after that. I remember when he
- 1:57:00Speaker 3: went to the RAMS coach Phillips was like, yeah, I
- 1:57:02Speaker 3: dont think they're letting him leave the building without a contract.
- 1:57:05Speaker 3: Talk about the interview process and that experience being a
- 1:57:08Speaker 3: d C.
- 1:57:09Speaker 2: Yeah, college is a little bit different, you know, but
- 1:57:11Speaker 2: there were some There were some opportunities to interview for
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: head coaching jobs before, so it wasn't my first interview,
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: but they they kind of come to you.
- 1:57:17Speaker 3: You don't know when it's gonna come.
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: I mean, on this one, I'm actually flying on a
- 1:57:21Speaker 2: trip to Miami to do official visits. So I'm recruiting
- 1:57:24Speaker 2: for Georgia and at the time really really satisfied with
- 1:57:26Speaker 2: my you know, situation at Georgia.
- 1:57:28Speaker 3: We just lost the SEC championship.
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: I'm kind of focused on the roads or some me
- 1:57:31Speaker 2: be the Orange Bowl, but I'm going down here to
- 1:57:33Speaker 2: recruit it, and I get a call saying, hey, these
- 1:57:35Speaker 2: guys want to.
- 1:57:35Speaker 3: Hop on a zoom.
- 1:57:36Speaker 2: So I do a zoom, you know, in an airport,
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: fbo throwing kind of a suit coat. And that was
- 1:57:42Speaker 2: just kind of the start of it. And it really
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: escalated really fast after that night, after that initial zoom,
- 1:57:46Speaker 2: with some more phone calls and goes quick.
- 1:57:49Speaker 3: You know, you never know when it's gonna come.
- 1:57:50Speaker 2: There were times where I thought I'd get offer a
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: head coaching job and I didn't, And then this one
- 1:57:54Speaker 2: is probably one that I didn't think was next. I
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: didn't have a connection to Orgon. I'd never been to
- 1:57:57Speaker 2: Oregon until I got off the plane here as the
- 1:57:59Speaker 2: head coach, so I knew what it was somewhere I
- 1:58:02Speaker 2: wanted to be, but I wasn't.
- 1:58:03Speaker 1: As familiar, you know, with it, or had any ties
- 1:58:05Speaker 1: to it.
- 1:58:05Speaker 2: So go through that process, every one of them is different,
- 1:58:08Speaker 2: and this one it just you could tell that there
- 1:58:10Speaker 2: was a really unique vision and you know it was
- 1:58:13Speaker 2: all in sync, it all in line with what you
- 1:58:15Speaker 2: want as a head coach.
- 1:58:17Speaker 6: Was it with with Oregon?
- 1:58:19Speaker 3: Was it one of those things when you're interviewing to
- 1:58:20Speaker 3: be a headman to where you're kind of wanting to
- 1:58:23Speaker 3: be a little choosier or pick the right situation, like
- 1:58:25Speaker 3: had you know anybody, whether it's Norvelle saving any of
- 1:58:27Speaker 3: these guys before you coach smart kind of giving you
- 1:58:30Speaker 3: any advice on Hey, whenever you do get an opportunity,
- 1:58:33Speaker 3: to make sure it's the right one.
- 1:58:34Speaker 2: Well, I knew I could be picky because I knew
- 1:58:35Speaker 2: had a really good job, right. I really enjoyed being
- 1:58:37Speaker 2: the decordinator at Georgia. Got to coach some really good players.
- 1:58:40Speaker 2: You know, we were competing for championships there. Got to
- 1:58:43Speaker 2: win a national championship that last year. So I knew
- 1:58:45Speaker 2: I had a good job and I wasn't gonna leave
- 1:58:46Speaker 2: for a bad job. You know, I always think the
- 1:58:48Speaker 2: job you take has to align with your goals, like
- 1:58:50Speaker 2: where you're gonna grow. It's not about how much you're
- 1:58:51Speaker 2: gonna make. Who cares about that? Yeah, I gotta win, right,
- 1:58:54Speaker 2: I knew I could win here, right, that was really important.
- 1:58:57Speaker 2: I had to know that there was support, So yeah,
- 1:58:59Speaker 2: they're definite. Only had to be some things in the line,
- 1:59:01Speaker 2: but organ checked every one of those boxes, and.
- 1:59:03Speaker 3: Then you know you have a couple of successful years,
- 1:59:05Speaker 3: the Alabama job opens up. How how real could that
- 1:59:09Speaker 3: opportunity have been had you sought that out, because obviously
- 1:59:13Speaker 3: you know I saw your video whenever you were saying
- 1:59:15Speaker 3: very juicy. By the way, that was a phenomenal job
- 1:59:17Speaker 3: by you. Guys.
- 1:59:22Speaker 6: Poor who has goals and aspirations?
- 1:59:24Speaker 3: Raise your hand up, all right.
- 1:59:26Speaker 9: Everybody got goals and aspirations. You know how you get those,
- 1:59:29Speaker 9: you'd be the best where you're at. That's how you
- 1:59:31Speaker 9: reach goals and aspirations. That's how great dangs happen. It's
- 1:59:34Speaker 9: not about worrying about the next day. It's about worrying
- 1:59:36Speaker 9: what's right in front of you, six inches right in
- 1:59:38Speaker 9: front of your face. I want to remind you, guys
- 1:59:40Speaker 9: what that means. You guys just got here, don't know
- 1:59:42Speaker 9: them right. It means something being working done. Everybody makes
- 1:59:46Speaker 9: what they all make commitments and thanks they're going to
- 1:59:48Speaker 9: do a lot of stars.
- 1:59:49Speaker 6: The world didn't have a lot of what finishers. We're
- 1:59:52Speaker 6: finishing you.
- 1:59:52Speaker 2: I want to be here in Eugene for as long
- 1:59:54Speaker 2: as Eugene don't have me. This place has everything that
- 1:59:57Speaker 2: I could possibly ever want. Is a little bit of
- 1:59:59Speaker 2: a in society today with people looking for what's next
- 2:00:03Speaker 2: and where there's an opportunity, and the reality is, you know,
- 2:00:07Speaker 2: the grass is not always greener.
- 2:00:09Speaker 6: In fact, the grass is damn green and Eugene.
- 2:00:20Speaker 3: But obviously you want to stay here and have your
- 2:00:22Speaker 3: roots and everything here and be here for a long time.
- 2:00:24Speaker 3: But how real was that potential to be the Alabama's
- 2:00:28Speaker 3: head couch or be in the mix for the conversation?
- 2:00:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I think there's there's
- 2:00:32Speaker 2: been a lot of opportunities that were real. But if
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: you we're never gonna let it get real here. I'm
- 2:00:35Speaker 2: exactly where I want to be, right. I've said it
- 2:00:38Speaker 2: a lot, but you know I've got right now. I
- 2:00:40Speaker 2: have an eleven year old, a twelve year old, and
- 2:00:41Speaker 2: a fourteen year old. I'm committed to those guys finishing
- 2:00:44Speaker 2: school here, right and for me to do that, we
- 2:00:45Speaker 2: gotta win, right, So are there I'm not interested in
- 2:00:49Speaker 2: the other opportunity.
- 2:00:49Speaker 1: One of the reasons we released the videos.
- 2:00:51Speaker 2: I'm talking to a recruits mom the night before and
- 2:00:54Speaker 2: she's saying, I'm seeing all over you know, the internet.
- 2:00:56Speaker 3: The year lead.
- 2:00:59Speaker 2: Targets on you like he's gonna be the priority, right,
- 2:01:02Speaker 2: I need I need this ticle. And so we actually
- 2:01:04Speaker 2: were talking on the phone. It's like, what would make
- 2:01:06Speaker 2: you feel comfortable? I'm telling you I'm not going anywhere.
- 2:01:08Speaker 2: What would make you feel comfortable? Are you gonna make
- 2:01:10Speaker 2: an announcemre? I said, how about I make a video?
- 2:01:12Speaker 2: So we make we make a video and I send
- 2:01:14Speaker 2: it to her first before I ever before we ever
- 2:01:16Speaker 2: released this, and because she had just gone through the
- 2:01:18Speaker 2: same experience with another coach telling her she wasn't he
- 2:01:20Speaker 2: wasn't gonna leave, and apparently a lot of coaches say
- 2:01:22Speaker 2: one thing and then do another. Yeah, So I just
- 2:01:25Speaker 2: wanted to make sure that we got this kid, and uh,
- 2:01:27Speaker 2: you know, we're building something here, and you know, I
- 2:01:30Speaker 2: think a lot of people leave before they ever get
- 2:01:32Speaker 2: to see what they can accomplish and what's finished.
- 2:01:34Speaker 3: You've you've talked about alluding to the book Good to
- 2:01:37Speaker 3: Great and you know what is it? Walking walking twenty miles? Yeah,
- 2:01:42Speaker 3: twenty mile march, the twenty mile march?
- 2:01:44Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:01:44Speaker 3: What are some things you take out of that book
- 2:01:46Speaker 3: outside of the twenty mile March? And also are you
- 2:01:48Speaker 3: making are these guys reading this? Are these guys reading
- 2:01:50Speaker 3: the book? Too well or are you just kind of
- 2:01:52Speaker 3: going over it? Yeah, they don't. They don't necessarily read
- 2:01:54Speaker 3: the whole book. Okay.
- 2:01:55Speaker 2: You know I've had one player after I get up
- 2:01:56Speaker 2: here and talk through a book that asked me afterwards, hey,
- 2:01:59Speaker 2: what was that book? And they come grab Christian Zalaz
- 2:02:01Speaker 2: first round pick for the Patriots. He's like, that was
- 2:02:03Speaker 2: really good? Can can I read that book? So I
- 2:02:06Speaker 2: wasn't a big book rader, but I'm looking for.
- 2:02:07Speaker 3: Ways to grow. Right now.
- 2:02:08Speaker 2: We're really studying the book Art of War Masunsu and
- 2:02:12Speaker 2: then in Potential by Adam Grant. You know, I think
- 2:02:14Speaker 2: those are both some great books that you know, allude
- 2:02:17Speaker 2: to growth. Right So we're always trying to look for something,
- 2:02:19Speaker 2: and it's different every year. But probably the biggest thing
- 2:02:22Speaker 2: out of Good to Great was what I can do different?
- 2:02:24Speaker 2: Not so much about what the team can do different.
- 2:02:25Speaker 2: But if you want to have a you know, great organization,
- 2:02:28Speaker 2: you got to have level five leadership and what's that
- 2:02:30Speaker 2: look like. You gotta be humble, You got to be
- 2:02:32Speaker 2: willing to grow. You can't be the guy that's always
- 2:02:33Speaker 2: pointing out what everybody else is doing wrong. I gotta
- 2:02:35Speaker 2: be a thumb pointer and you pick up on a
- 2:02:38Speaker 2: lot of pieces like that.
- 2:02:40Speaker 3: Is there anything with the head coaching job that was
- 2:02:43Speaker 3: a surprise for Okay, I anticipated a little bit differently
- 2:02:46Speaker 3: being a coordinator, being a position coach, that you learned
- 2:02:49Speaker 3: about becoming the head coach like any any you know,
- 2:02:52Speaker 3: harder situation, harder situations with players are instilling all of
- 2:02:56Speaker 3: this philosophy and getting it amongst the entire group.
- 2:02:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, one understand that you don't want a
- 2:03:01Speaker 2: coaching staff that has a bunch of use right. You
- 2:03:04Speaker 2: want a coaching staff that's diverse, that can relate to
- 2:03:06Speaker 2: players in different ways. And you know, what you define
- 2:03:08Speaker 2: as a good head or as a good position coach
- 2:03:10Speaker 2: isn't always the exact mirror of you.
- 2:03:11Speaker 3: You want some other pieces to that.
- 2:03:13Speaker 2: I think the other thing that you find out really
- 2:03:14Speaker 2: quick is a head coach is your time's not your
- 2:03:16Speaker 2: time anymore. You might think you can get up here
- 2:03:18Speaker 2: early and watch some film, but as soon as you
- 2:03:20Speaker 2: walk in, somebody's knocking on your door. You start to
- 2:03:23Speaker 2: learn to appreciate people can solve problems right, like if
- 2:03:25Speaker 2: they can figure it out and you can tell them
- 2:03:27Speaker 2: later how you did it wrong.
- 2:03:28Speaker 3: But this is what we're gonna do.
- 2:03:29Speaker 2: And then you can't be afraid of confrontation, right, That's
- 2:03:32Speaker 2: that's part of the role. You got to be willing
- 2:03:34Speaker 2: to tell people when it doesn't look the way you
- 2:03:35Speaker 2: want to look, and you're not You're not here to
- 2:03:37Speaker 2: make friends, right, You're you're here to run an organization
- 2:03:40Speaker 2: and do it the right way.
- 2:03:41Speaker 3: But you can do that with respect and the way
- 2:03:43Speaker 3: that you do it. Yeah, because that right, it's so
- 2:03:44Speaker 3: much easier said than done, especially with the confrontational.
- 2:03:47Speaker 1: People avoid confrontation and it's necessary to grow.
- 2:03:50Speaker 9: Right.
- 2:03:50Speaker 1: If you never identify what's what's not going right, you're
- 2:03:52Speaker 1: never gonna get it right.
- 2:03:53Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, man, I had a question that you were
- 2:03:57Speaker 3: talking about.
- 2:03:58Speaker 4: We interrupt this episode to bring you Pure Michigan. Emmy

- 2:05:01Speaker 4: four draft. Check out Sam Selects. That said, let's get
- 2:05:05Speaker 4: back to this episode.
- 2:05:06Speaker 3: Sorry, this is what my brain does. Yeah, David dave
- 2:05:11Speaker 3: Port always on his show this morning, He's like will
- 2:05:13Speaker 3: he just can't help it. His brain it's filled with rocks.
- 2:05:15Speaker 3: He'll continue to this.
- 2:05:18Speaker 6: Yeah, bro, this is keep Yeah. Yeah, yeah, So we
- 2:05:21Speaker 6: had this, we had.
- 2:05:22Speaker 3: This beer lit we have this annual beer Olympics that
- 2:05:24Speaker 3: we do and with the NFL schedules, got one similar
- 2:05:27Speaker 3: with my buddies. Oh yeah, yeah, I.
- 2:05:29Speaker 6: Can't wait to ask about that. Yeah, I know you,
- 2:05:30Speaker 6: I know you're kind of that you're the you're the
- 2:05:32Speaker 6: head man.
- 2:05:32Speaker 3: In the group chat. I'll get to that. Uh, but yeah,
- 2:05:35Speaker 3: we have this Beer Olympics that we set up and
- 2:05:36Speaker 3: we tailored around the schedules of the NFL guys, and
- 2:05:39Speaker 3: we always do it the last week of June because
- 2:05:40Speaker 3: when when Mini Camp is done, guys have a like
- 2:05:43Speaker 3: six weeks to kind of do their thing. Well, the
- 2:05:45Speaker 3: first week after Mini Camp is over is Tighten You.
- 2:05:47Speaker 3: And George he's our boys, so we kind of we
- 2:05:49Speaker 3: go to Tighten You. We do tight and you get
- 2:05:51Speaker 3: some interviews there. So we do it the week after.
- 2:05:53Speaker 3: We do it the last week in June because in July,
- 2:05:55Speaker 3: everybody's gonna be they're gonna be in it. They're gonna
- 2:05:57Speaker 3: be in the trenches, they're gonna be trying to get better,
- 2:05:58Speaker 3: they're gonna be ready to go for training camp. So
- 2:06:00Speaker 3: we set it up the very last week. We've done
- 2:06:03Speaker 3: for three years in a row, and all of a sudden,
- 2:06:06Speaker 3: Barstool has something the same week. Dave and them, they're
- 2:06:09Speaker 3: making it about that. We changed up all the barstool
- 2:06:11Speaker 3: scheduling tailored around the football guys, and then we exclusively
- 2:06:16Speaker 3: tailored it around the Kelsey brothers. We sat with Jason
- 2:06:19Speaker 3: at the Super Bowl and they were like, man, we
- 2:06:22Speaker 3: don't know if we could make this work. Travis is
- 2:06:24Speaker 3: really adamant about doing it. We're going to like, we
- 2:06:26Speaker 3: want to try to make this work. If you could
- 2:06:28Speaker 3: do it Monday Tuesday instead of Wednesday Thursday, same last week,
- 2:06:31Speaker 3: then we'll be able to do it. So we tailored
- 2:06:33Speaker 3: it around Kelsey brothers. Travis gives the call the other
- 2:06:35Speaker 3: day and it was not good news. He's like, hey, Taylor, so.
- 2:06:41Speaker 6: Yeah, it must be something with Taylor.
- 2:06:43Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, something. You know, when you're a superstar
- 2:06:46Speaker 3: and then you're dating like the most popular person in
- 2:06:48Speaker 3: the world, schedules you got to kind of line them up.
- 2:06:50Speaker 3: So I understood, but it made for a bad Everything
- 2:06:54Speaker 3: kind of fell out for your boy this week. Yeah,
- 2:06:55Speaker 3: I'm out here just taking bullets. Happens.
- 2:06:57Speaker 2: So you guys have you guys have an annual little
- 2:07:00Speaker 2: trip we go every year. We have a you know,
- 2:07:01Speaker 2: one of my buddies is the linebackers coach for the Giants.
- 2:07:03Speaker 2: He's getting married this year in Miami, so we're taking
- 2:07:05Speaker 2: a little a little trip to Miami right before the wedding.
- 2:07:08Speaker 2: Right this I hope it doesn't end up like you know, hangover.
- 2:07:10Speaker 2: I hope we all make it to the wedding on time. Yeah,
- 2:07:12Speaker 2: but it should be a fun trip. Are you the
- 2:07:14Speaker 2: glue that holds the group chat?
- 2:07:16Speaker 3: Not the glue I mean, are you?
- 2:07:17Speaker 1: I'm a piece of the puzzle.
- 2:07:19Speaker 3: Yeh Sup.
- 2:07:19Speaker 1: There's this committee that exists that's kind of this, but
- 2:07:22Speaker 1: nobody really knows.
- 2:07:23Speaker 6: You guy, you got a committee within the group.
- 2:07:25Speaker 3: This is this is deep. Yeah, this is big. So
- 2:07:27Speaker 3: guys played different roles in the group chat. Nobody really
- 2:07:30Speaker 3: knows who the committee is. Okay, you guys say, yeah.
- 2:07:33Speaker 2: Nobody really knows who the committee is. It just but
- 2:07:35Speaker 2: they make a lot of decisions and and things get done.
- 2:07:38Speaker 6: What's been the best trip that you guys have been on?
- 2:07:40Speaker 2: Man, We've done Tahoe. Tahoe is a lot of fun.
- 2:07:42Speaker 2: We've we've done deep sea fishing a couple of times. Uh,
- 2:07:45Speaker 2: you know, there's been there's been some good trips and
- 2:07:47Speaker 2: it's gotten better. Is my job's gotten better? The trips
- 2:07:49Speaker 2: we've gotten a little bit better too.
- 2:07:50Speaker 3: So yeah, I bet everybody's getting a little bit better. Budget. Hey,
- 2:07:53Speaker 3: let's do it up a little bit more this time,
- 2:07:55Speaker 3: not a lot like where you guys, are you back
- 2:07:56Speaker 3: in the GA days where you're all cramming in a hotel?
- 2:08:00Speaker 3: We got it. We normally can find a good spot
- 2:08:01Speaker 3: to stay in. Dude. It would be like we go
- 2:08:04Speaker 3: to got an invite if you're interested, Oh, no, ship,
- 2:08:06Speaker 3: we'll talk. That'd be great.
- 2:08:07Speaker 1: Okay, we're gonna say no cameras.
- 2:08:09Speaker 6: That's fine, Yeah, I'll do it.
- 2:08:10Speaker 2: Trust that these guys would get excited if they knew
- 2:08:13Speaker 2: that you could come.
- 2:08:14Speaker 3: You know, okay, this trip all right? When are we
- 2:08:16Speaker 3: able to say okay, okay, okay, we'll talk. We'll talk,
- 2:08:19Speaker 3: we'll talk off camera. I'll mess with that. I appreciate that.
- 2:08:22Speaker 3: What now I kind of now, I kind of remember
- 2:08:25Speaker 3: instilling all your stuff with the guys, right like again
- 2:08:28Speaker 3: going back, and I'm using mcveighs as another example, because
- 2:08:31Speaker 3: again I would I'll just always pick his brain about
- 2:08:33Speaker 3: coaching and everything else. And he was like, comp. You know,
- 2:08:37Speaker 3: he came to me before practice, uh, before training camp
- 2:08:41Speaker 3: practice one day and he was like, comp, the biggest
- 2:08:43Speaker 3: thing that you will have that you have that you
- 2:08:45Speaker 3: have a problem with that all coaches do, especially if
- 2:08:47Speaker 3: you're a ball guy like you play. You do all
- 2:08:49Speaker 3: the stuff. Preparation won't be an issue. All these things
- 2:08:51Speaker 3: won't be an issue. What will be an issue is
- 2:08:53Speaker 3: trying to teach people to think the same way that
- 2:08:56Speaker 3: you're thinking. Has that Has there been a learning curve
- 2:08:59Speaker 3: with that? And coming up across guys at back bro
- 2:09:01Speaker 3: you have so much fucking talent, right if you just listen,
- 2:09:05Speaker 3: if you just trust the processes. Was that a learning
- 2:09:07Speaker 3: curve for you getting in the coaching coaching guys the
- 2:09:10Speaker 3: way you were at William Jewel being a linebacker, being
- 2:09:12Speaker 3: just hungry about the game. Yeah, I think you know.
- 2:09:14Speaker 2: The piece I always say is if I could go
- 2:09:15Speaker 2: back and do it all over again, I would have
- 2:09:16Speaker 2: got a psychology degree because it's really about figuring out
- 2:09:19Speaker 2: how do you get that guy to believe in what
- 2:09:21Speaker 2: you're trying to teach him or try to grow And
- 2:09:22Speaker 2: it could be the same with a coach.
- 2:09:24Speaker 3: The other piece of just having an onboarding.
- 2:09:26Speaker 2: Process when somebody shows up like nobody knows how you
- 2:09:28Speaker 2: want it done unless you explain it to them, and
- 2:09:30Speaker 2: that takes time, right, you got you got to sit
- 2:09:32Speaker 2: there and try to create and make coaches talk through
- 2:09:35Speaker 2: why they're making this call in.
- 2:09:36Speaker 1: This situation right, and what your philosophy is.
- 2:09:38Speaker 2: And we talk about playing the game before we play
- 2:09:41Speaker 2: the game as much as possible, we do a coaches
- 2:09:42Speaker 2: meeting where we put on a TV copy.
- 2:09:44Speaker 3: I'm like, all right, what are we calling here?
- 2:09:46Speaker 2: What's the situation? What are we thinking about? With timeouts?
- 2:09:48Speaker 2: And try to play the game out with our offensive
- 2:09:50Speaker 2: coordinator defense? Whare you know Bonnicks would sit in that
- 2:09:52Speaker 2: meeting with us last year. But you try to get
- 2:09:54Speaker 2: everybody on the same page. And you know that's probably
- 2:09:57Speaker 2: where most valuable, the most valuable time for you is
- 2:10:00Speaker 2: how quickly can you get everybody in your organization believe
- 2:10:02Speaker 2: in the same way, seeing it the same way you
- 2:10:04Speaker 2: see it, or challenging yourself to see it differently.
- 2:10:07Speaker 3: Yeah, And we spend a lot of time on that.
- 2:10:09Speaker 3: Bo Nick's at the Heisman ceremony, you talked about him
- 2:10:12Speaker 3: babysitting your kids.
- 2:10:13Speaker 4: Yeah, was that a.
- 2:10:14Speaker 3: Pr move or is he actually a baby talk? That
- 2:10:17Speaker 3: story is real.
- 2:10:17Speaker 2: I literally came home one day and Bow's there, I
- 2:10:20Speaker 2: mean Bow and his wife, is he? And really Casey
- 2:10:23Speaker 2: Rodgers and his wife Maya. They would come over to
- 2:10:26Speaker 2: our place quite a bit, and every once in a
- 2:10:28Speaker 2: while Sofia would put them in charge of watching the
- 2:10:29Speaker 2: boys and she'd have a girl's night out. So unbelievable kid,
- 2:10:33Speaker 2: unbelievable family. I'm really excited to see what he does next.
- 2:10:36Speaker 3: Are there players that you watch have success, whether in
- 2:10:39Speaker 3: the NFL or that you look back on, that you
- 2:10:41Speaker 3: have a a un entertaining recruiting story about.
- 2:10:47Speaker 2: Okay, good question, I'm trying to think entertaining recruit I mean,
- 2:10:50Speaker 2: we've all been in the situations where you go do
- 2:10:52Speaker 2: a home visit and you eat one meal and you're full,
- 2:10:54Speaker 2: and then you got to go to the next home
- 2:10:56Speaker 2: visit and you do another meal.
- 2:10:57Speaker 3: I mean, they can wear you out because you're gonna
- 2:10:59Speaker 3: eat it when you walk in the door.
- 2:11:01Speaker 2: If mom's you gotta eat it, you gotta eat it,
- 2:11:04Speaker 2: and you gotta pretend you love it even if you don't.
- 2:11:07Speaker 1: But but interesting recruiting stories.
- 2:11:09Speaker 2: I mean somebody that that you guys never probably would
- 2:11:12Speaker 2: have heard of it, but he's actually playing.
- 2:11:13Speaker 3: Right now in the league.
- 2:11:14Speaker 2: Names JJ Russell. You know, I remember going when I'm
- 2:11:17Speaker 2: at Memphis, I'm going to recruit JJ. And I swing
- 2:11:19Speaker 2: by the bank first because mom works at the bank.
- 2:11:21Speaker 2: I drop a note in the bank teller and it
- 2:11:22Speaker 2: shoots up the Taylor pol comes to his go play
- 2:11:26Speaker 2: pool with his dad, right, you know, at the local
- 2:11:29Speaker 2: pool spot and we're playing pool, and then go over
- 2:11:31Speaker 2: to the school, hang out with JJ at the school
- 2:11:33Speaker 2: for a little bit.
- 2:11:34Speaker 1: After school, we get on the game. We're playing Madden
- 2:11:36Speaker 1: against each other.
- 2:11:37Speaker 2: The last game we played for a commitment, right, get
- 2:11:40Speaker 2: his get his commitment, commitment for a commitment. It's once
- 2:11:43Speaker 2: I've built some confidence that Okay, I can handle this guy,
- 2:11:46Speaker 2: play for commitment. And that that night finished off with
- 2:11:48Speaker 2: Coach Norvell pulling up this big Memphis bus outside of
- 2:11:51Speaker 2: his house and we did the home visit.
- 2:11:53Speaker 3: Meeting right there in front of his house.
- 2:11:55Speaker 2: So it was a h yeah, it was That's a
- 2:11:58Speaker 2: kind of a fun story where I felt like there's.
- 2:11:59Speaker 3: No anybody did more than we did, right, right, right, right?
- 2:12:03Speaker 3: Hey did you prep now? Were you preparing ahead of time? Like, Okay,
- 2:12:05Speaker 3: I'm gonna have to play this kid in the game.
- 2:12:07Speaker 3: And I got a call on.
- 2:12:08Speaker 2: I didn't know that, and I wouldn't have I wouldn't
- 2:12:09Speaker 2: have said, hey, this one's for a commitment unless I
- 2:12:11Speaker 2: felt good about where we were at, because I haven't
- 2:12:13Speaker 2: played a lot of games since then. During COVID, I
- 2:12:16Speaker 2: got the sticks out a little bit, you know, as
- 2:12:17Speaker 2: I tell my wife, Hey, I'm going to work, I
- 2:12:19Speaker 2: go downstairs and play what's it, call of duty?
- 2:12:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I suck it.
- 2:12:23Speaker 6: They're playing war Zone with the boys.
- 2:12:24Speaker 3: Honey, shut up, I'm doing my job.
- 2:12:28Speaker 2: Take the headset off. Yeah, she figured that out pretty quick. So, uh, yeah,
- 2:12:31Speaker 2: I haven't played. I haven't been on the game for
- 2:12:33Speaker 2: a long time.
- 2:12:34Speaker 3: But you try to.
- 2:12:34Speaker 2: You're always trying to find something that's going to separate
- 2:12:36Speaker 2: you from every other coach they're talking to about. Hey,
- 2:12:39Speaker 2: this is what a three technique looks like. I mean,
- 2:12:41Speaker 2: there's a little bit more to that in the relationship.
- 2:12:43Speaker 3: How how was it like getting to learn the whole
- 2:12:45Speaker 3: recruiting aspect of college ball, Like you, I would assume
- 2:12:48Speaker 3: you being a lower guy first, and then you kind
- 2:12:50Speaker 3: of get an area. You might go into some dicey situations,
- 2:12:53Speaker 3: some dice year. He's like, Okay, I gotta kind of
- 2:12:55Speaker 3: I gotta get crafty here. Do you have any of those?
- 2:12:57Speaker 2: Oh, I've been you know, I've been in Baltimore where
- 2:12:59Speaker 2: I was like, okay, I got a change. I'm wearing
- 2:13:01Speaker 2: these cool Oregon shoes didn't be used to be something
- 2:13:03Speaker 2: that was part of my game. But I've pulled up
- 2:13:04Speaker 2: the place where I'm like, all right, I got to
- 2:13:06Speaker 2: put on my other set of shoes here. You've been
- 2:13:08Speaker 2: into a spot where I got to get padded down
- 2:13:10Speaker 2: to go in. You know that didn't really necessarily make
- 2:13:11Speaker 2: me nervous. Yeah, getting padded down to go in. But
- 2:13:13Speaker 2: what made me nervous about the amount of people that
- 2:13:15Speaker 2: are staying outside that.
- 2:13:16Speaker 3: Weren't going in.
- 2:13:17Speaker 2: You know, I'm like, hey, well you walking me to
- 2:13:18Speaker 2: my calls, like you try to be uncomfortable here, but yeah,
- 2:13:21Speaker 2: you you find yourself in a lot of unsavory situations
- 2:13:24Speaker 2: sometimes when you're chasing the right guys.
- 2:13:26Speaker 3: Dude, I bet this question came from came from JP.
- 2:13:31Speaker 3: Looking back, if you were what coach would you want
- 2:13:35Speaker 3: to play for outside of yourself? Now that you've experienced
- 2:13:38Speaker 3: all the coaching trees that you have, who is a
- 2:13:40Speaker 3: coach that you want to play for? Let's say both
- 2:13:42Speaker 3: position and even coordinator. Obviously I had coach, you'd probably
- 2:13:46Speaker 3: you know, you're probably gonna say all of them. There's benefits.
- 2:13:48Speaker 2: No, No, I mean I think I could you know,
- 2:13:50Speaker 2: speak to each one of them because they're all different,
- 2:13:52Speaker 2: but but ultimately, like position coaches, we got some great
- 2:13:55Speaker 2: coaches on our staff here, like Tash Lapoy is one
- 2:13:57Speaker 2: of the best coach. I was actually a GA at Alabama.
- 2:14:00Speaker 2: Tasha was a position coach in Alabama before he became
- 2:14:02Speaker 2: the decordinator. And you know, the amount of time and
- 2:14:04Speaker 2: effort he puts in, the details he puts in I
- 2:14:06Speaker 2: think really separate him as a coach. You know Kirby
- 2:14:09Speaker 2: and and Mike or two guys that really stood out
- 2:14:11Speaker 2: to me his head coaches. You know, Kirby I'll probably
- 2:14:14Speaker 2: be drawn to a little bit more because he's on
- 2:14:15Speaker 2: the defensive side of the ball. But the passion and
- 2:14:17Speaker 2: energy that he coaches with, you know, the intelligence, how
- 2:14:19Speaker 2: much I felt like I learned in my time working
- 2:14:22Speaker 2: for Coach Smart, you know, was certainly really appealing and
- 2:14:25Speaker 2: you just always knew you were gonna get his best
- 2:14:26Speaker 2: every single day.
- 2:14:27Speaker 3: As a backer. What decordinator would you wanna would you
- 2:14:30Speaker 3: want to play for? That's a great question.
- 2:14:33Speaker 2: You know Mel Tucker, you know, and uh I know, uh,
- 2:14:36Speaker 2: you know, Mel was a guy that you always felt
- 2:14:38Speaker 2: like was in your corner. You know, he did things,
- 2:14:41Speaker 2: you know, the right way. He always had the players back.
- 2:14:43Speaker 2: He's that coach that had the players back. He's a
- 2:14:46Speaker 2: good teacher, good communicator, and uh he was always looking
- 2:14:49Speaker 2: out for you outside of the field too.
- 2:14:51Speaker 3: Yeah. Well yeah, and then there's one more. Okay, we
- 2:14:58Speaker 3: said that, we got that one, all right, this is
- 2:15:00Speaker 3: our twisted question. Oh but it won't be too twisted.
- 2:15:05Speaker 6: If you hit a.
- 2:15:05Speaker 3: Movie made about you, What Hollywood actor would you want to.
- 2:15:10Speaker 1: Portray you want to versus like, what's most likely?
- 2:15:14Speaker 6: Right, Let's do both, Let's have fun, We'll do both.
- 2:15:19Speaker 1: Okay, that's a good question. What's the who's the batman?
- 2:15:25Speaker 3: Uh?
- 2:15:25Speaker 6: Christian Baal?
- 2:15:26Speaker 2: I think that guy just hits it out the park
- 2:15:28Speaker 2: and like almost every role. Yeah, I'd probably say Christian
- 2:15:31Speaker 2: Bale would be you know, he's a method actor. I've
- 2:15:33Speaker 2: seen him get fat, I've seen him get skinny, get
- 2:15:35Speaker 2: I mean, he just.
- 2:15:35Speaker 3: Does it all. He's all sell out for the role. Right.
- 2:15:37Speaker 2: Daniel day lewis another guy I think about like that
- 2:15:39Speaker 2: that just like goes all in on his roles. But
- 2:15:42Speaker 2: I probably said like Ben Afflack is somebody that probably
- 2:15:45Speaker 2: look a little bit closer to I don't know. I mean,
- 2:15:47Speaker 2: he does a good job too.
- 2:15:48Speaker 6: Do you guys have anybody minds? For some reason, I
- 2:15:50Speaker 6: feel like I I think he could.
- 2:15:51Speaker 3: You could get a Leo Leo get some scruff going,
- 2:15:55Speaker 3: kind of cut their hair like his leoser. That's a
- 2:15:58Speaker 3: big bull. Yeah, coach Man, we appreciate it. This has
- 2:16:02Speaker 3: been awesome. I've enjoyed. I knew I would enjoy this
- 2:16:05Speaker 3: conversation again, being a Missouri boy, being a linebacker, being
- 2:16:08Speaker 3: just a young coach in the game. I think it
- 2:16:10Speaker 3: speaks to a lot of like the cloth you were
- 2:16:12Speaker 3: cut from and knowing the journey that you've been on,
- 2:16:16Speaker 3: because it is like the longest road travel being a
- 2:16:19Speaker 3: high school coach and going to coaches clinics and trying
- 2:16:21Speaker 3: to shake hands, and I would almost I don't even
- 2:16:23Speaker 3: who knows how many emails you wrote and letters you
- 2:16:25Speaker 3: sent that was just a fart in the wind and
- 2:16:27Speaker 3: never got to anybody. But to see you climb the
- 2:16:30Speaker 3: ranks and being the spots here and now, it's really cool.
- 2:16:32Speaker 2: I'm certainly lucky I've got I've got some great luck
- 2:16:35Speaker 2: and maybe created some of it, but been around great people.
- 2:16:38Speaker 2: Best thing I've had I've been around winning organizations, and
- 2:16:40Speaker 2: that's that's the that's the key to moving forward.
- 2:16:43Speaker 1: So I really appreciate it's been fun.
- 2:16:44Speaker 3: Man. Yes for the boys, Oh I got As a
- 2:16:47Speaker 3: matter of fact, I got one more. How long did
- 2:16:50Speaker 3: it take you to craft the speech before Colorado?
- 2:16:52Speaker 9: The Cinderella story is over, man, Right, they're fighting for clicks,
- 2:16:56Speaker 9: we're fighting for wins.
- 2:16:58Speaker 8: There's a difference, right, there's a difference.
- 2:17:00Speaker 5: Right.
- 2:17:01Speaker 6: This game ain't gonna be playing in Hollywood.
- 2:17:02Speaker 9: It's gonna be played on the crass, or it's gonna
- 2:17:04Speaker 9: be played on the crass.
- 2:17:05Speaker 3: It really not.
- 2:17:07Speaker 2: That was not off the top, No, No, certain I
- 2:17:10Speaker 2: write down my thoughts, but I really do it kind
- 2:17:12Speaker 2: of the hour leading up to that, that meaning, and
- 2:17:15Speaker 2: really it's built off of a lot of the things
- 2:17:16Speaker 2: we've already talked, you know, throughout the week. So we
- 2:17:19Speaker 2: have messaging every single week trying to say what's gonna
- 2:17:22Speaker 2: be the difference in the team that we're gonna play,
- 2:17:23Speaker 2: you know, and that one happened to you know, be
- 2:17:26Speaker 2: public consumption.
- 2:17:27Speaker 3: But it didn't play out the.
- 2:17:29Speaker 2: Way I thought it wouldn't necessarily play out when it
- 2:17:30Speaker 2: came to that, you know, So every week we have
- 2:17:32Speaker 2: a message right that we try to you know, piece
- 2:17:35Speaker 2: together for the team that we're playing. What's gonna be
- 2:17:37Speaker 2: the theme, what are gonna be the differences in us
- 2:17:39Speaker 2: and the opponent, what's gonna lead to wins and losses?
- 2:17:41Speaker 2: And those same things you hear in that speech were
- 2:17:43Speaker 2: things that we had talked about kind of throughout the week.
- 2:17:45Speaker 3: What makes us different than this team?
- 2:17:46Speaker 2: How are we going to handle your pregame antics, how
- 2:17:48Speaker 2: are we going to handle some of the things they're
- 2:17:49Speaker 2: gonna show up? So you know, it's a fun part
- 2:17:52Speaker 2: of the job, but that that has very little to
- 2:17:53Speaker 2: do with what the success of the game looks like.
- 2:17:55Speaker 6: Yeah, but well executed, we usually yeah, clicks, wins.
- 2:17:58Speaker 3: Oh that said, that's up bar right there, Hollywood the
- 2:18:00Speaker 3: Hollywood grass. Oh man, you crushed it, Bro, But all
- 2:18:05Speaker 3: the same, I don't want to get get up the
- 2:18:06Speaker 3: way yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, the game matters way more.
- 2:18:10Speaker 3: But anyway, Hey, we appreciate it, man, this has been
- 2:18:12Speaker 3: awesome for the boys. Bro.
- 2:18:14Speaker 6: Absolutely
