- 0:00Speaker 1: So I follow this guy on Instagram. His name's Kareem Rama.
- 0:04Speaker 1: He does this thing called subway Takes.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Is he aware that you're following him?
- 0:09Speaker 1: He might be. I mean he has one point six
- 0:12Speaker 1: million followers, so I don't know if he's specifically subway takes.
- 0:16Speaker 1: So he sits on the subway right and gets your
- 0:19Speaker 1: take on things. What's your take? I've seen this?
- 0:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I want to propose us doing this in part of
- 0:27Speaker 1: our Hello yeah what ex pole rotation? So people just
- 0:33Speaker 1: like sit down next to him and he says, what's
- 0:35Speaker 1: your take?
- 0:36Speaker 3: And then they well, does he offer I mean, does
- 0:38Speaker 3: he give them a something to give him a take on?
- 0:40Speaker 1: Nope, it's whatever they want. I mean, if you follow him,
- 0:44Speaker 1: you know what he does. So if you and celebrities
- 0:47Speaker 1: have started sitting down with him on the subway, and
- 0:49Speaker 1: he started doing this in New York and now he
- 0:51Speaker 1: does it all over the world. And I just saw
- 0:53Speaker 1: one yesterday that I really liked. Here's just an example
- 0:56Speaker 1: of it. So he sits down next to this girl
- 0:58Speaker 1: and says, so, what's your take? And she says, I
- 1:01Speaker 1: think the United States should bring back conscription, but for
- 1:04Speaker 1: restaurant jobs. We need to reinstate the draft. Everyone everyone
- 1:11Speaker 1: has to mandatorily for a year or two work in
- 1:15Speaker 1: a service job, whether that's waiting tables, a line cook. Uh,
- 1:22Speaker 1: because that we.
- 1:25Speaker 2: That's what I that's what I think.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I know what he's doing, because working in a service
- 1:32Speaker 1: job makes you appreciate people that work that job. It's
- 1:36Speaker 1: you learn a lot when you were working that kind
- 1:39Speaker 1: of job. And we should all have to, like maybe
- 1:42Speaker 1: when we're all eighteen or something, have to work for
- 1:45Speaker 1: a year in a service related job. I like that idea.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I you know, I worked at GBS, as we have
- 1:55Speaker 1: talked about many reasons, I learned a lot, and now
- 1:58Speaker 1: when I go out to eat or eat not restaurants,
- 2:00Speaker 1: but other places where there are service a service related job,
- 2:05Speaker 1: I appreciate those people even more.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I'm just afraid you do that, You're going to increase
- 2:13Speaker 3: the number of really horrible servers there are out there.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Do you think?
- 2:19Speaker 3: Yes, absolutely, because you're putting people in a position of
- 2:23Speaker 3: of doing something that they don't really want to do,
- 2:28Speaker 3: and people who are certain you know, who are working
- 2:30Speaker 3: at a restaurant.
- 2:32Speaker 2: No, he's not wrong.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I mean I see where she's going with it.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah, makes sense. Yeah, you know, but you're right.
- 2:39Speaker 3: If because because the good, the good waiters and waitresses,
- 2:43Speaker 3: the good servers out there are the ones who make
- 2:46Speaker 3: a career well, not may necessarily make a career out
- 2:50Speaker 3: of it, but they this is my job. I care
- 2:53Speaker 3: about it, and I'm going to do it well. And
- 2:56Speaker 3: hopefully all.
- 2:57Speaker 1: You're assuming that an eighteen year old is going to
- 3:00Speaker 1: be terrible at it.
- 3:02Speaker 3: I'm assuming that if you tell him you that he
- 3:05Speaker 3: has to do it.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Yes, you have to go work on this restaurant.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Okay, Oh you don't have to in some in some capacity.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You have to work in a service industry for a year.
- 3:18Speaker 1: In some capacity, someone's texting and substitute teaching should also be.
- 3:22Speaker 2: In the draft.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Should have to do that.
- 3:26Speaker 3: And then there was somebody who says, all right, if
- 3:28Speaker 3: we're going to do this, I get to be the
- 3:29Speaker 3: pepper boy.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Can I give you some fresh pepper? With that fresh pepper?
- 3:38Speaker 3: You know, whenever I do the they come around with
- 3:40Speaker 3: a fresh pepper and they say can I give you?
- 3:43Speaker 3: And I say yes, Now you're going to stop before
- 3:47Speaker 3: I tell you to. You're gonna want to stop before
- 3:49Speaker 3: I tell you to. Please know, I like lots of pepper,
- 3:53Speaker 3: just keep going until I tell you to stop, and
- 3:56Speaker 3: they almost never do. They stop before I tell them.
- 3:59Speaker 1: But have you ever had where it doesn't seem like
- 4:01Speaker 1: it's coming out?
- 4:03Speaker 2: Huh? That find of a grind?
- 4:05Speaker 1: Yeah, and you're like, I can't or the or the
- 4:07Speaker 1: restaurant is dark and you can't really tell.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Oh, they're the way you do the way you handle that, Gina,
- 4:13Speaker 3: being a pepper expert, you stick your hand between the
- 4:16Speaker 3: pepper grinder and your plate.
- 4:20Speaker 2: So you can feel it fall in.
- 4:22Speaker 3: No, you can just feel it falling over the back
- 4:24Speaker 3: of your hand, and then you can kind of shake
- 4:26Speaker 3: your hand and they'll say, what are you doing. I said, well,
- 4:29Speaker 3: I can't see the peppers, why I need to feel it.
- 4:34Speaker 1: One of the other takes I saw was a Jason Bateman,
- 4:38Speaker 1: and he said, my take is, I think all dogs
- 4:41Speaker 1: should have to wear shoes.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Have to wear shoes.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And then you're you're out in public and they're you know,
- 4:48Speaker 1: they're walking on the dirty street or in the dirty
- 4:51Speaker 1: you know, in the dirt. And then when they get home,
- 4:52Speaker 1: just like you take your shoes off at home and
- 4:54Speaker 1: don't walk around the house in your shoes. You take
- 4:57Speaker 1: the dog's shoes off, so when they get on the
- 4:59Speaker 1: cow to your bed or whatever, they don't have dirty feet.
- 5:02Speaker 2: You know, I walk around the house in my shoes.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I never take them off.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Your shoes you wore on the outside, Yeah, you could
- 5:08Speaker 1: have house shoes.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I probably, I probably should do that.
- 5:12Speaker 3: It's and the reason I don't take them off is
- 5:16Speaker 3: because I have my one of my feet is so bad,
- 5:20Speaker 3: you know, screwed up and it's painful. And but I
- 5:23Speaker 3: I always wear the rest of my family barefoot. Yeah,
- 5:27Speaker 3: barefoot around the house all the time. Guess who never
- 5:30Speaker 3: gets a little ugut cut on the bottom of their
- 5:33Speaker 3: foot because of a little shard of glass that somebody missed.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Guess guess who never stuts on attack So you get
- 5:39Speaker 3: a lot of brokenne I mean, no, it just happens occasionally,
- 5:44Speaker 3: but not to.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Me, I think. But uh, I am not a fan
- 5:47Speaker 1: of wearing outside shoes inside the house for that very reason.
- 5:52Speaker 1: You walk.
- 5:53Speaker 2: You walk in a.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Bathroom, people pee on the floor in there, and you're
- 5:57Speaker 1: walking in that, and you're walking in the street where
- 5:59Speaker 1: people are.
- 5:59Speaker 2: People don't pee on the floor in my bathroom at
- 6:01Speaker 2: my house.
- 6:02Speaker 1: When you're out in public and then you come home.
- 6:07Speaker 1: You should take your outside shoes off and inside.
- 6:11Speaker 3: There really should should there should be a little chair
- 6:13Speaker 3: by the door. Yeah, so you could sit down.
- 6:15Speaker 1: And so we have a bench. That's all the shoes
- 6:18Speaker 1: in our house.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Got down, sat on a bench.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Yeah, all the shoes. We we have a mudroom. You
- 6:22Speaker 1: walk in the mudroom, you take your shoes off, you
- 6:24Speaker 1: sit on the bench.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Is there a lot of muddy in the mudroom.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Well, we have two dogs, so there can be. Yeah,
- 6:32Speaker 1: and then you put in on Carrie has slippers household. Sorry,
- 6:37Speaker 1: this is an old conversation to me.
- 6:40Speaker 3: No, I agree with the I agree with Jason Bateman's take.
- 6:42Speaker 3: What's another one.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Oh, let's see we've got uh baking is easy, and
- 6:50Speaker 1: baking is easy.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Somebody says, somebody sat down and said, you know, baking's
- 6:55Speaker 3: really easy.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yeah, And then he says, then he either says one
- 6:59Speaker 1: hundred percent agree or one disagree. And he said one
- 7:02Speaker 1: hundred percent disagree. And she said baking is like giving
- 7:07Speaker 1: being given all the information about a test before you
- 7:09Speaker 1: take the test. She said, it's easy. It's very very
- 7:13Speaker 1: specific what you know, so other cooking you kind of
- 7:16Speaker 1: guess and throw the baking. You have to do it.
- 7:19Speaker 2: You have to follow the recipe. Well, that's what makes
- 7:21Speaker 2: them specific.
- 7:22Speaker 1: No, because it tells you exactly what to do. That's
- 7:26Speaker 1: what she said. But then there's the elevation that needs
- 7:28Speaker 1: to be factored in.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Yeah, baking is not no no, otherwise there would be
- 7:33Speaker 3: great breads and pastries everywhere and there ain't.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Is it cake?
- 7:39Speaker 3: By the way, Carrie, I have a story about the
- 7:40Speaker 3: cake boss coming up for you.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Oh I don't like the cake boss. I thought you
- 7:45Speaker 2: liked the cake. Now is it killing? Is it cake?
- 7:48Speaker 1: Like that? Well? I I am proposing that we start
- 7:52Speaker 1: doing a well.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Isn't that what kind of what? Hello? Yeah?
- 7:54Speaker 3: What is anyway is we're just asking people to give
- 7:58Speaker 3: their you know, we can just say hello, yeah what
- 8:02Speaker 3: it's your opportunity to just give your take on anything, right,
- 8:06Speaker 3: That's what we I mean, that's what it is anyway,
