- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: I do want to remind everybody in the audience.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: the rules that we established last time or at least tried to.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: We'll try to work through this if you get your hand up, want to come up on stage, come on up, ask a question, and then jump back off the stage so we can answer.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: We were just running into situations where people would ask because five questions and it's like those are all really good, but then we couldn't remember the first four of them so.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_02]: And we can cycle through some more people too as we go.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_04]: All right, looks like we got to hand up already.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, and I know Jersey Justin here was had a hand up before we even got started.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: So let's get Justin up here.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, what's up, guys?
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, dude, how you doing, man?
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, I can't complain, man.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: Living the dream, Blake, how's the new baby?
- 2:24[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I heard her screaming a couple minutes ago, so you lost it, she's a guy.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: I thought, yeah, I got 11 months old at home, man.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: This winter's been the sickest I've ever been.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: I, by scientists, have been horrible.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: I had like two upper respiratory infections, but, man, I wouldn't trade it for the world, but I'm glad she's, uh, it's a girl, right?
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad she's doing good.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate it.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: So, don't want to take up too much time, but, uh, I just wanted to kind of make a statement.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: And then I had a question, uh, the statement, uh, I was regarding, um, Dion Sanders stuff.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: uh... just want to get my opinion on that my opinion is uh... i don't see any problem anywhere shape or form of munken and uh... deon you know meeting up who are however was initiated i really don't know whether munk was like hey you want to talk or deons like hey you want to talk
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: But like, if I was an NFL coach or, you know, the coach or the Browns, every year, I would hold a barbecue at my house and invite as many whole of famous as I could.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I'd be like, hey, what's your thoughts on what you see with what we got going on here?
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'd pick everyone's brain.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean, take notes.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, it's always good to get great minds as many as you can together to see the bigger picture.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and the other thing was the other kind of big topic was the tailing green stuff, which see it not so big.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of simmering off, but I hopped on one of the voicemails and gave my opinion on that.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: about, you know, because there was talk about using him as a, like, a taste of hill possibly.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe moving him on goal on a red zone.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: It, like, in my personal opinion, someone that's played football before.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's way too tall to use him as, like, taste of hill, because he's going to be, like, target practice for blitzing linebackers and safety's.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: But if, like, in red zone or a goal line, if they are going to try to use him as something like that,
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think it would be a good idea to pull Shidorah Sanders out of the game to put him in for like goal line or red zone?
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: Because in my opinion, I would keep Shidorin.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I like him.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's he's one of those quarterbacks when he gets in the red zone.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: I get excited.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I'm like, I have a feeling like he's going to get in the end zone whether it's going to be a throw.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to whether we're going to hand it to Juttkins, but I would not want to pull him out for
- 4:57[SPEAKER_07]: I'll take the first one about Sanders coming in.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_07]: I think last week when Josh and I were talking about this, having an all star and all pro come in and like talk to the team is fantastic.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_07]: I was just trying to distinguish for me, is he coming in as a father?
- 5:15[SPEAKER_07]: Is he coming in as an all pro corner and giving his advice?
- 5:19[SPEAKER_07]: Because I asked my buddy who was in the professional football business.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_07]: for 20 years, and I basically asked him, I said, hey, I got a question for you about pro football.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_07]: Do coaches make time for players' parents, other than just a casual, high-good-buy or pleasantries before or after the game, and he said, not in the slightest.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_07]: He said, the grown men, it'd be a red flag to some degree of parents, or feel the need to be involved in their son's professional lives, okay?
- 5:48[SPEAKER_07]: So that being said,
- 5:50[SPEAKER_07]: I get why he's going, I get, I don't really care, but I don't know if any other player on that team other than Shidorah Sanders is going to have that, a lot it for him.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he's the only one who has a Hall of Fame dad though, who's also a coach in college and was his at coach.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_04]: Here's my deal with this, if Todd Monkin reaches out to him and wants to talk to him, that's perfectly fine.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_04]: I don't need Deon putting himself out there expecting the coach to come talk to him.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_04]: And it wasn't about, and it was out to, why wouldn't he want to talk to me to see how to get the most out of him?
- 6:31[SPEAKER_04]: Well, he's a professional athlete now, he's a big boy.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_04]: He can get the most out of him because he's a professional football player.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_04]: And Todd Monkin is a professional football coach.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_04]: Like, he said the same stuff about Travis Hunter.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_04]: If I'm Travis Hunter and Dion, I'm like, dude, I'm coachable.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_04]: I've made it to this level.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_04]: I'm a professional athlete.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_04]: I don't need you to come and talk to my coach.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_04]: I don't need dad to come talk to my coach to see what buttons to push on me to make me play well.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_04]: This is my job now.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_04]: I will prepare like a professional athlete and I will go out and play well.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_04]: I don't need daddy to...
- 7:03[SPEAKER_04]: it annoys the crap out of me.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_04]: I'd like we put out stuff where it said it wasn't a big deal but no other dad there's there's been plenty of other players who have professional fathers that are Hall of Famers and they don't go expect to talk to the football the head football coach that their kids playing for.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_04]: It's like he's gone.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_04]: He's not on your team anymore.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_04]: You raise him to get to this point.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_04]: Cut the cord.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_04]: It's cut the cord.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_04]: I think I got a little one out of
- 7:33[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I just said, like, that's what I'm getting.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_07]: It's just not standard practice.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_07]: That's all it is.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_07]: And that's where I, and the other, the other point that I made last week, Monkton doesn't need it, I don't think.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_07]: He's done full well with other quarterbacks.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_04]: Like, like I said, if Todd Monk wants to reach out to him,
- 7:49[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, that's one thing.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_04]: He can reach out and talk to 100% but I don't need my players dad I don't care who he is reaching out to the coach to be like I want to talk to you about how to coach my kid No, your kids getting paid to play on my team.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_04]: I'll coach him however.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_04]: I see fit like like come on these are professional athletes now
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I agree with that.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: 100% I just, was it ever reported that Deon forced himself into the, I thought that he said he would just come into meet monk and I assumed there was an invitation, you know, he came last year during the season and talked with Kevin and the guys whenever should or start.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_04]: And that's, and that's all, that's all again.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_04]: As long as it's an extended invitation from the coach, I just don't need the dad like trying to push his way in,
- 8:38[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even really care about who your dad is at this point, though, like just just focus on the football player and not the football players dad.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_04]: That's how I feel.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: Well, man, it's Deon Sanders.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: So anytime his name even gets whispered.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_04]: It's a big favor though and just not talk about it.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: Well, but he, I didn't, didn't care.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_02]: Bush asking about it though.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like, how you met Todd or are you going to meet Todd?
- 9:05[SPEAKER_04]: So just say, you know, this is, you know, I don't, I'm not gonna get into that.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, that's a deal on that.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_04]: It's not that hard.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_04]: It's not that hard to just not put yourself in the middle of things.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that's like, I just don't wanna end, it annoys me.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm a Shador guy, but like, come on, I'm a Shador guy.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not a Shador's dad guy.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_07]: And I like, yeah, I'm a should or a guy too, man, and it's, again, it's just like a whole lot of something about nothing, I guess, you know?
- 9:38[SPEAKER_04]: You'd be like, Christian McAfrey's dad going to Cheyenne Han being like, I, I think you could get more out of Christian, if you gave him, if you pushed these buttons in practice.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_04]: So if you ran some of these plays for Christian, I think you'd really do, like, what do you think Kyle Cheyenne Han would say to that?
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: Like, well, but then again, if Shanahan said, hey, I want to talk to you, or, you know, that's a different story.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just saying, unless it's been reported that Dion said he's coming and wasn't invited, I'm not going to say that.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_04]: It makes it seem like he expects like it should.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_04]: Like, he, the way even with Travis Hunter and Jacksonville, he was like, they never once called me.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_04]: Well, why would they?
- 10:18[SPEAKER_04]: Why would they, and then he was like, I never, I never got that invite last year.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_04]: Well, why would you, why would you?
- 10:27[SPEAKER_04]: You don't, you don't play for this team and you don't work for this team.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_04]: So, like, just, just, don't put it out there.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_04]: Just, just stop.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_02]: Well, unfortunately, I don't think that's gonna stop.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_02]: Stay C, what's going on?
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, we got a video.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: We're here.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: You hear me, okay?
- 10:53[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm, of course, this guy has to start up.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: He always does that whenever I say people are here.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: He just thinks somebody's actually here.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: But my question for you guys is now that we're a little bit further into.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: the hiring process after our coach coming in.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: How is everyone feeling about Todd Munkin?
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: Are we trusting the monk or are we keen on a little skeptical?
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I'll go first real quick.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_02]: I obviously was not the highest on the higher when it first happened was definitely skeptical of the process and everything.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_02]: Man, his approach to this team so far and I know it's only been one set of OTAs and a little bit of a mini camper, whatever.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited to see a different philosophy here because he really does seem like that true down to earth, gritty football guy that he's going to tell you like it is.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_02]: What Zion Johnson said, that was the quote that really stood out to me when he was like, I'm coming into practice and I know that if I fall start out there, we're reloading the rep.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm getting pulled out and I was like, oh, these guys, there's a heavy emphasis on these
- 12:03[SPEAKER_02]: for all six years of Kevin.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm I'm definitely looking forward to some of this discipline and accountability he seems to be bringing in.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_04]: It's one of those things where unconsciously optimistic about the stuff he's saying I will caution Browns fans where
- 12:21[SPEAKER_04]: It was the same way with Kevin when he was a new coach.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_04]: We all loved his never get too high, never get too low, stoic, eat things in house personality, until he started losing.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_04]: And then that became a negative about Kevin.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_04]: But he go back to when he first started in Cleveland.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_04]: It was, it was everybody viewed that as a positive.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_04]: So it doesn't really matter what he says, it's all gonna come down to wins and losses.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_04]: If he wins games,
- 12:45[SPEAKER_04]: If he wins games, everybody will love his demeanor, and if he lose his games, all of a sudden it'll be like, oh, you say this, but clearly, clearly we're not, you know, that kind of thing or why you cause and drama by talking about players in the media, keep it in house.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_04]: So it's going to come down to wins and losses.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_04]: If we win, it'll be a positive.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: I have an add-on question for that then.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: So if he does lose games and doesn't seem like it's going our way, is this going to be a one and done you think for him?
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: Or do you think this is a long term thing?
- 13:16[SPEAKER_07]: That's a tough call because, I mean, he seems like a Bill Parsel's type guy.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_07]: He's direct, he's blunt, he teaches first, he's got accountability over feelings.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_07]: So I don't see it as a one-and-done unless he drastically changes the way he is.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_07]: It's still way too early.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_07]: And I mean, Blake's got a great point.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_07]: It's like the beginning part of a relationship, you know, like everything's sunshine and roses.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_07]: And we love each other.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_07]: You know, I don't have to worry about somebody leaving the toilet,
- 13:47[SPEAKER_07]: And so I wouldn't think so based on the relationship he has either he has the right attitude that I like where he is like I am here to coach and teach.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not here to pick players.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_07]: Andrew Barry is here to pick my players and I will mold them and that's what I like and that's why I think right now that it would progress further than I want to done.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: Now I really like him.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's sorry.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to say I just I really like him so far.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: I like the change up obviously from the Kevin interviews and just even that alone.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, okay, I already like you a lot better just because I'm so tired of his just boring answers.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I think I saw a monkey.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: It was the OTA maybe post conference.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: But he was like, I just like when they asked him questions and then he's like, ah, that's not my question answer.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: You should probably go ask them.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: like he's just, I don't know, I think he's funny and I think he's, he's there, he's straightforward like he answers the things that he should answer as a coach doesn't step out of his realm and doesn't also be around the bush and just say like some robotic answer.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I like that part of button.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_07]: Was it a great one, he said about the seven on seven, the interceptions?
- 14:55[SPEAKER_07]: He's like, who does that?
- 14:56[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, he does that.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_07]: You don't even have a past rush.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_07]: Like, he's like, what are we doing?
- 15:00[SPEAKER_07]: But I mean, the way he said it was so direct and blunt, and it wasn't like, to make anybody feel bad, but it definitely is gonna keep some guys on their toes that the following practice is after that.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_04]: I agree.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_04]: I think whether there's like a one-in-done kind of thing depends on what expectations are in the building.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_04]: Like Vegas has this at what six wins six and a half wins or something like that.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_04]: So like I know a lot of brown screens are really optimistic But Vegas is very rarely wrong.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_04]: You know, so if they got us anywhere part, you know from five to seven wins I didn't think the team last year really had the talent to win
- 15:42[SPEAKER_04]: almost any games.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_04]: I wouldn't have been shocked if they didn't win any games last year.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_04]: And we won five in the coach got fired.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_04]: We added, at least on paper, a boatload of talent on the offensive side of the ball and added, you know, a new high level safety on the defensive side of the ball.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_04]: So what are what are expectations for Jimmy has him?
- 16:00[SPEAKER_04]: He said in the media, I think we should have won more than five games last year.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_04]: That tells me they should definitely win more than five games this year with what is supposed to be an easier schedule in an influx of talent all over the roster.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_04]: So if we come out and we only win four or five games is Jimmy going to say we didn't live up to expectations.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_04]: Does he have some unrealistic idea of what we should win?
- 16:23[SPEAKER_04]: I have no idea what to expect from this team.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_04]: I think we could win anywhere from like three games to
- 16:28[SPEAKER_04]: nine or ten games it all depends on how the rookies p and out you know did we we think we hit on him everybody said the browns had a great draft we all think the browns had a great draft you don't really know until they hit they get on the field with pads it how it's going to go so I just think it all depends on what what Jimmy's expectations are for this football team is
- 16:48[SPEAKER_04]: depends on how long of a leash the top monk can really have.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_07]: It depends how he develops that quarterback man.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_07]: That's the driver in the league and that's what we are considered not to have.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_07]: That's why we're probably at six and a half.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_07]: That's why we're probably only favored in two games in the entire schedule this year.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_07]: If that quarterback position goes the way we think he can and should or takes another step, then I mean that's where you get to where Blake's saying that midnight may be 10.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_07]: games.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_07]: If there's no quarterback play and somehow tailing greens playing at the end of the year, we've got three wins.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_07]: You know what I mean?
- 17:21[SPEAKER_07]: So, that's where we'll be.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_07]: All right.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_07]: That's not a knock on tail and not the not a knock on tail and green.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_07]: It's just that means we're on our third quarter back.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_07]: Another three cycle quarter back.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_07]: He's getting like four to five games and you know, you need to get out of that.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: This episode is sponsored by Kaoshi.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Browns Vand, you know, we've all messed around with the sports books before, right?
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: And let's be honest, you're always kind of playing into the house.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_02]: But with Kaoshi, it's different.

- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Stacey, anything else real quick or?
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, thank you guys.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: All right, thank you.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see you.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's see.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_02]: We got Kurt from Jersey at his hand up next.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_02]: What's up, Kurt?
- 20:45[SPEAKER_03]: What's up, guys?
- 20:45[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to spare you not put my camera on.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_03]: Like Stacey.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_03]: So two things, one real quick.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_03]: Like I don't put much stock in the,
- 21:00[SPEAKER_03]: like I don't put much stock in in the interception or actually I don't put much stock in like the great places where you see that bomb from Watson to Boston and Mary Taylor crazy about it courts course but I do put stock in the tipped passes like Jerry Judy's tip pass for interception like there was a lot of tip passes last year for interceptions
- 21:30[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and that kind of scares me, like it, your professional wide receivers, you're in shorts.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_03]: Should you be tipping passes for intersections, like that kind of bothers me, um,
- 21:47[SPEAKER_03]: I don't really know that that's a question.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I can, I can speak to the Jerry Judy tip pass thing, just because when I saw it, I was like, okay, so we're in seven on sevens, no pads, like you're not going to get crushed trying to come back to catch that ball.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_02]: Jerry Judy's just a very soft player in my opinion, he's not physical, he's, well, how made passes last year?
- 22:10[SPEAKER_02]: Like you just mentioned, did we see get tip for interceptions or, you know, tip in general
- 22:16[SPEAKER_02]: like here we go and practice again.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_02]: I just he's not a very reliable receiver.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_02]: I am.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_03]: No, like, like, like, like there was a big deal put on like the KC drop, right?
- 22:30[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you got you guys saw the course.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it was everywhere.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know, when I see that Jerry's UD tip, it like took me right back to last year with the Cedric Tillman tip that's for dinner sets.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_03]: Like all these like, oh, that's how they were
- 22:47[SPEAKER_03]: No, that's what the media should be like, hey, look, this was our problem last year and here's like, here's the same people doing it where these new kids, yeah, if they drop a ball, I expect that.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_03]: I expect a first year due to the drop a ball in OTAs, you know, but a veteran wide receiver, you're in shorts on seven on sevens and you're doing the same shit.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_03]: You're tipping the ball to an inner perception.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's almost like you're doing a purpose.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_04]: I guess I'm gonna be like the negative guy here.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_04]: I'll get a lot of hate.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_04]: I know the play.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_04]: I'm far from a Jerry Judy defender.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_04]: I've just like Jerry Judy for a long time.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't think that play.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_04]: It was his fault.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, he came back to three yards to the ball.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_04]: What's he supposed to do?
- 23:37[SPEAKER_04]: Run all the way back to the quarterback.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_04]: Like the ball was two seconds late.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_03]: And he did the ball get the ball get the ball get the ball get the hit play.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_03]: We know you love Jerry Judy.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_04]: just and I thought again, I'm not a jury due to defender, but that to me that wasn't really on him.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_04]: It was the ball's way lately, way lately.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_04]: And I saw some people saying, well, he's going through his progressions.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_04]: I would imagine Jerry Judy was probably the first read.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_04]: He's, you know, the de facto number one wide receiver for the Browns, though.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know that we didn't need to get to see the whole play.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_04]: We only saw the end, but, um,
- 24:13[SPEAKER_04]: So, at least that play.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_04]: Now, I'm not going to see here and say, I have high expectations for Jerry Judy this year.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_04]: My hope is that he's the number three, and we almost never seem to touch the ball.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_04]: I'd love it if he just wasn't on our team.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_04]: But that play in particular, if we're being fair, it was a very late throw.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm pretty sure the defender came through him and tip the ball.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_04]: He didn't actually tip the ball.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_07]: So, just about what about our receiver co-ser, a little last year, I think Kurt's kind of getting to a good point there.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_07]: And let's take Jerry Judy out of the equation.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_07]: At the end of the day guys, we had Guy, we had Jerry Judy, and then we had a bunch of guys.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_07]: We didn't have said till for much to the air, who was supposed to be a guy that we leaned on, and then none of us really could understand why our wide receiver coach was there.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_07]: And maybe we just got a bunch of soft guys that need, like catching the ball.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_07]: And maybe there's some alligator arms out there.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_07]: You know, just the way they were coached up last year.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_07]: Maybe with a different set of coaches, this, you know, we're only what that was OTA-3.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_07]: maybe by the end of OTA 10 that's something that's not going to be.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_07]: Or maybe it's that Josh's right, it's just softness from a certain player and that could be too.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_07]: And it's just not going to be coached out.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it could be a combination of it all.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I agree with leg.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it wasn't the best pass.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_02]: It was definitely not on time.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think anybody's going to argue with me that Jerry's usually not a physical player.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: He's not like he's just he soft.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_04]: I could argue he's not a player.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, okay, they're fair enough.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_02]: But I think another thing in Blake made a good point that I wanted to elaborate on too, we see these clips and they're vertical clips for TikTok from the Browns, and you can't see the whole play.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_02]: You have no idea.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: No, okay.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: At the time, I can't even see who's throwing the fricking ball on some of these plays.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_07]: So it's different guys that you follow to and they have different angles like yeah I looked at Cameron justice and I couldn't understand what was going on that play because I couldn't see Jerry Judy.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_07]: I just thought tipped in the air.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like the biggest thing for me is like the clip of the touchdown pass to Boston.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_02]: I know a lot of people.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that was a dot from Watson.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like it was seven on seven.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: There's no power.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_02]: I really don't care about the like he should be able to hit a wide open receiver in a spot.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_02]: He's a 10 year vet, but.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: the route from Boston is what I was like, oh, because that was Tyson Campbell are starting corner back and he's he's stuttered him up and took off to the end.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, that is a nice route and he made the catch.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's the stuff I like to see.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: I noticed that too that that that was
- 26:58[SPEAKER_04]: Gosh, you kind of said something that made me think of a topic where you said, you don't really care because it's seven on seven.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_04]: So you don't really care about the throne and that kind of stuff.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_04]: No past rush and I know there's been a lot of talk about.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_04]: The Browns media have said that Deshawn has the leg up right now and he's looked better and a lot of people are arguing and complaining about that and I said this in the discord I'm not shocked that Deshawn right now looks better than should doer he always looks going shorts when there's no past rush yes if you are going to name your starter
- 27:32[SPEAKER_04]: off of practice short sessions to Sean would be your guy.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_04]: I'm I'm zero surprise every time I hear a report that the Sean looks better in practice right now.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_04]: And then I see all of these people arguing complaining.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, guys, of course he does.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_04]: This is where he excels.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_04]: There's no past rush.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_04]: There's very little he has all day to make a read.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_04]: There's no quick decision making.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_04]: like there's nobody chasing him you know it's of course he looks good when he first came to Cleveland all we heard when he from those first OTAs and practices was this is the most talented thrower we've ever had like the Browns have never had a guy like this a quarterback what that's all they said while we were they're in shorts and then they got the padded practices and you started hearing reports of often's done look very good
- 28:19[SPEAKER_03]: what's going on here and well that's really what I expect now like of course I wouldn't I'm 0% shocked if he looks better right now this we have thought when they start playing real football we're talking before the show and about the Quincy Williams might up and they had to play and Quincy was like don't clap for that like that was a set like if you if I was going to hit like I wouldn't have had him
- 28:46[SPEAKER_03]: So don't clap for that.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't even like he didn't try to knock down the past or anything.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_02]: He just head down arms down and walked off to the side and he was like, that was a sack.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_02]: What are you guys clapping for?
- 28:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like he completed the past or whatever.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_04]: But of course he looks better now.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_04]: He's a great flight football quarterback these days.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_02]: I like that flag football quarterback.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and I was saying the other day that I, I trust more than the other people in the Cleveland meeting would be Zach Jackson, whenever he gives his assessment on the quarterback from practice, because Blake, he was the only one really saying like two years ago that, hey, the Sean kind of looks like crap here, wasn't he?
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: And last year, he was saying Dylan Gabriel doesn't look like he should be on an NFL roster.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_02]: And he was right.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_02]: So the other day, he was on ultimate Cleveland sports shot.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_02]: And if you guys saw the clip,
- 29:28[SPEAKER_02]: But he said, yeah, you know, he had the throw of the day was that throw to Boston.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_02]: He said sandwiched in between that though was a play that went to, I think he was thrown a duty on the outside should have been picked, the defender just dropped it, went right into his hands.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I was, because I saw that clip too.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, oh, that looks like a Deshawn Watson throw right there.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_02]: And then he said the other one was a, I don't know, he said the second throw was a past a duty on a comeback that was sailed seven yards past him or in front of him or something.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, and he said, really took me back to 2024.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just, yeah, I'm with you in terms of like if you're going to listen to a media member, he's usually pretty brutally honest about the players and how they actually look.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_04]: And that's not saying I agree with like everything he says about everything, but on those point he's he's brutally honest.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, don't don't get your up in a bunch because the Sean supposedly looks better in practice right now.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_04]: This is where he excels.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I agree with 100% like it's not a surprise.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's just the local media, you know, this is like I was saying again, before the show, like it's trickling out into the national media.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_03]: It's trickling it out like this bizarre take on this John being back and you know, wait till this, she like, I don't know man, it's just it's bizarre to me, it's bizarre.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_07]: they can only look at what the local media is saying because they don't have time to look at all the tape.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_07]: I just listen to lines say something along the lines of like I can't believe Munkton's might start or it wants to start Sean Watson.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, Munkton's never said that.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_07]: Never.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_07]: I watched every presser.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_07]: So I don't know where he's getting this from unless he literally talked to him on the phone before the show started.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I don't know what kills me is, but yeah, it kills me is this, this narrative, Steven, Steven A might even talk about it, like he thinks he could really thrive in Todd Monk in system, you know?
- 31:38[SPEAKER_04]: Well, to Sean, it's like it's all Kevin's fault that to Sean didn't play well.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_04]: Like there wasn't a year where we also tried to completely tailor the offense to him with Ken Dorsey.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_07]: Yep, it's yeah.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_04]: like it's always so it's it was Ken Dorsey's fault.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_04]: Now it's it was Kevin's defense he's offensive's fault he didn't fit to his play style well okay we figured that so he went hired Ken Dorsey and it took completely tailored the offense around you you still looked like dog crap you know so like it's this not pretend like all that like it was the system he played in more than one system and Cleveland they tried mold the offensive around him he just kept dirting balls you know you
- 32:17[SPEAKER_04]: So there's only so much a system isn't gonna make you better.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_04]: It's not like there weren't guys open.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_04]: You just couldn't throw to them.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, like Ken Dorsey.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_07]: He did it with Cam.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_07]: He did it with Josh Talon like and then he is third guy third time was not a charm.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_07]: He couldn't get anything Out of Deshawn Watson and he Deshawn Watson looked lost.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_07]: I remember Blake was hilarious every time after a game He'd be like, I'm doing Deshawn Watson
- 32:48[SPEAKER_07]: Shoulders up, eyes open, didn't know what was going on.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_07]: Like, that's the way it was with Ken Dorsey.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_07]: And I don't think it was Ken Dorsey's follies.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_07]: I think he's doing okay with Dak Prescott right now.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, one more thing, guys.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, it changed a subject, but the other thing is, everyone's saying, like, if we do five wins or better this year, that's great.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_03]: But we have an opportunity this year that we don't usually have.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_03]: And that's the fact that
- 33:16[SPEAKER_03]: The Ravens and the Steelers are in a position of not rebuilding, but re-tooling, we, again, I don't know how to word it, but.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_02]: They've both had an encouraging staffs.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it could go horrible for them.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_03]: You know where we haven't found for our coach.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_03]: We have for years our quarterback.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_03]: plant some roots and be the team and I don't know man, I think we could we can make the play off.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_02]: You're scared to say that.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_02]: You're scared to say that.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, the check himself.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_04]: He's like, am I really going to say this out loud?
- 34:07[SPEAKER_04]: Here's my here's what I'm going to say to that.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_04]: The
- 34:17[SPEAKER_04]: I know, and I like the coach and Cincinnati sucks, but roster wise, especially on offense, there's his way better than ours, defensively they had dexter Lawrence in the middle to help out their defense, their defense will still be their weak point, but as long as Joe Burrow sees healthy, they're going to score about a little points.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_04]: Steelers, just won the division.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_04]: And so we talk about how mediocre they are.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_04]: They just won the division with double-digit wins and the Ravens They have a 90-four-year-old quarterback.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_03]: They had one last year.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_03]: They had him last.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_03]: He's already said, he's already said he's done this year.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_03]: That means you're, you're done.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_04]: What like, no, you know, you're, you're done.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of people come around and say this is going to be my last year.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_04]: He's a lot of 14 plate.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_04]: He's not.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_04]: He's not able to score back.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_04]: We've watched play in the last 10 years.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_02]: But I think to Kirk's going though, he definitely is not the Aaron Rogers of old.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_02]: He is, well, he is not Aaron Rogers old.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_04]: But he played, he was not the reason they were mediocre last year.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_04]: Like, he played good enough football for them.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_04]: And then they go out and they add Michael Pittman.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_04]: They still have UK Metcalf.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_04]: They're like, they're, they're roster's better than ours.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_04]: At least more proven.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_03]: and say, I'm not killing my dream, I don't want to be around.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_04]: They're saying the lose, you know, I think there's a better chance we'd finish fourth in the division that we make playoffs.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_04]: I'm caution, I'm hopeful.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_07]: Well, who, like, in the AFC North, what coach are you putting money on?
- 35:57[SPEAKER_07]: Then is like, I don't know about mentor.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know about it.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_07]: You know, I don't know about, like with Cincinnati's coach, like we always kind of dog them, Mike McCarthy's got the best pedigree of them all, dude, he doesn't need it all.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_04]: You know what I mean?
- 36:16[SPEAKER_04]: I don't, everybody was clown, I don't think that's the worst hire they ever could have made.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_04]: I, that's why, Blake's got to get some sleep.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_03]: I can't, he's, Washington, my dream.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_04]: Jesse Mentor is definitely a guy, I don't, I, I want nothing to do with because I don't trust anybody who is on that Michigan staff, but
- 36:38[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm just saying if we're put it we're pinning you're pinning a lot of hopes and dreams on a bunch of rookies if you think I'm just saying the opportunity is there that we don't normally have where the Ravens and the Steelers are both on new coaching steps.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, we are too, but that's a good thing for us.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's better than being at the height of their power.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_02]: I will give you that Kurt.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_07]: 100% like like there's a lot of unknowns there's so much unknown in the division right now other than the Bengals and we know they can score they can score points.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_07]: That is the known.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_07]: We know our defense can hold people down Pents what our offense does.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_07]: The Steelers have players is out of the going to follow the coach the first year Then you know the Ravens have players and are they going to have a good first year coach too like it's
- 37:35[SPEAKER_03]: This isn't like the Mike Tomlin plug-in play players.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's Tomlin's, you know, his system.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: Everyone knows what to do.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_03]: You have players that have been there and they can tell the other guys.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_03]: And then Harbro and all his, you know, same thing.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_03]: And then, you know, Cincinnati, I don't know.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_04]: I do a class of men.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_04]: I'd listen, I would be listening to you if we weren't also coming off firing our coach and having one of the worst rosters in football.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_04]: But that's what we do.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_04]: We know that part.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think I think for Kurt here, Blake, you did already say you wouldn't be surprised if we won three games or nine or ten.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_02]: And there's a chance nine or ten.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that got the stealers of the playoffs last year.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_02]: Like there.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_02]: Things can happen.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the thing.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_02]: We always look at the schedule before the season.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_02]: We look at opponents.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: And we try to predict these records.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_02]: And then like I said on a couple episodes ago, then you look at the chiefs on your schedule in week one, two, three and say, oh, we got to play the chiefs last year.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_02]: And then you get to week 16.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's a pushover game.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_02]: You just have no idea how the NFL season's going to go.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: Who's getting injured?
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: all that kind of stuff.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_02]: So there is definitely opportunity.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: We just have to do our part like we just the the coaching has to be there.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think we got good players.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_02]: We got to coach them up.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_02]: They got to perform on the field.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's all got to translate her else.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's going to be another bad year.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_03]: But if it all translates, yes, I'm a top off guys, but I'm saying Super Bowl.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_07]: That was great.

- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: We got, let's see, Jersey Justin wants to come back up so we got our, we got a whole lot of New Jersey rep here today.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_02]: This is awesome.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: I want to ask you guys real quick, how did you guys, did you guys read that article, the SPN article from Daniel if you see about the Sean Watson and the source close to Watson and how he said, Watson doesn't hold any ill will toward Cleveland.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, or anything.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I'd hope not, you've got to,
- 40:49[SPEAKER_04]: We just miss, we give you a whole bunch of money to do nothing.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_04]: What would your ill will be?
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: I know, it's like, it will.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_04]: Or not, because we expect you to perform for the paycheck you were getting.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_04]: So we were angry when you didn't.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_04]: That's what you would have ill will for like, come on.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_07]: I know games in 230 million like that that just they crack me up when I saw that Jersey rep resent That's right
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: Just a quick question is actually add it on to what Stacey brought up and that question is kind of like what the stance of how you feel munken at the end of the season.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: God forbid it is a losing season.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: Does your opinion change?
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: At the end of the season if it's a losing season, if he does decide to start the Sean Watts in a rush door?
- 41:42[SPEAKER_04]: You can't have a losing season to start the Sean that was
- 41:46[SPEAKER_04]: Unless your only goal is to just never place your door and to draft a quarter back next year, you absolutely cannot have a losing season in head and played to Sean for the entire year.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_04]: The only way you can play to Sean, you better make the playoffs.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_04]: You know, you better go on a run and do something crazy or else it's meaningless because he's not going to be on the team.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_04]: They're going to get rid of him.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, I forbid something happens to do, should or that be the way they place.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's just, this whole, the whole conversation to me just still crazy because 2020, 2020 was the last time to show on Watson played a full season of football.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I just don't understand how people think it's just going to happen.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I mean, it might.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: I guess that that is a possible outcome.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's just not one.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_02]: I would bet money on based on history.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_04]: And I just, like, I don't want to walk and go out there and hear about the rest.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_02]: No, there will be no rest.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_04]: I watch rivers get up off of the couch.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_04]: It 45 pounds overweight.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_04]: It's got to put in some of that field.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_04]: And in play at a decent level, you know what I mean?
- 42:51[SPEAKER_04]: Like do some things move to move the offense up and down the field.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_04]: Like I don't want to hear about rest.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_02]: Remember?
- 42:57[SPEAKER_02]: We had rest all of like 2023 was the rest conversation.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: And then.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: Joe Flacco came and immediately was 300 yard games boom boom boom, we're winning games scoring touchdowns It's like crap.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe uh, you know how that rush stuff was a bunch of book
- 43:16[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I was going to say exactly about Flacco like he just he can't read a defense.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_07]: I think we've all seen that I think the tape shows that I don't know what Todd Monkins is going to do to make him understand unless having the entire season off.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_07]: He studied every defensive coordinator that was on our schedule and knows some top to bottom and he's ready to go, but I still don't see it based on how he read defenses
- 43:45[SPEAKER_07]: he just doesn't have it anymore like he doesn't have a field for the game.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_07]: He has some still some awesome athletic moves don't get me wrong and you see it a little flash here and there, but overall like if there is an out and and you receive or needs to split it back because of a let's he just doesn't get it man.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_07]: I just don't think he gets it anymore.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: Now good game speed the Sean Watson is no bueno.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_01]: And the way I see it is, at the end of the year, like I said, God forbid we have a losing season.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's not something to fun to talk about, before the season even started, but as Brown's fans know the deal.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_01]: So we can talk about it.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_01]: And if we, he starts to shine and walks in and say, he goes two and four in the first six games.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, starts the show and he goes to for them, bring shit or and then shit or wins like, you know, whatever, you know, five, six games and we're sitting there with like eight, seven, eight wins, maybe or seven wins.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna say I would rather move on from him.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_01]: But if he just starts to Shador, like everyone wants, and you know, Shador doesn't really show out or shows just enough to where we still have a losing season, but we still got two rookie wide receivers and Shador played out as much as he could.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: I would be saying, all right, I would rather stay with Todd Munkin, give him one more season and see where he's at.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: But if he starts to shine and we have a losing season, I'm gonna be, let's move on, let's try it.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_04]: So, right before we wrap up, then I want to piggyback off that.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_04]: Now, I want to gauge what expectations are for people here in just, I guess, the Browns nation.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_04]: One, five games last year, the owner said he thought we should have won more games.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_04]: I listened to Browns fans complaining every single second of every single day about winning five games.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_04]: If we own no matter who plays quarterback, nothing, if we only win five games this year, what are you doing?
- 45:41[SPEAKER_04]: What is the expectation?
- 45:42[SPEAKER_04]: because all I've heard is this team is significantly better talent wise.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, if you win five games this year, what are you doing?
- 45:53[SPEAKER_01]: If he wins just five games, I would have to say if social if the door comes up,
- 46:03[SPEAKER_01]: I would be able to be a very tough position for me.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: I guess my answer to your question is, I don't think that's going to be the case.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think if you start Shidorah, we only get five wins.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's going to be more than that.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_01]: So you're going to have at least six.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_01]: So you start Shidorah.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_01]: And he's going to have more than five wins.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_01]: Then you're not even in that scenario anymore.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: You start to shine and you let him play seven eight games.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: And he wins only a couple games.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_01]: And you try to put your door in there.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: And the energy is just not there.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, I always thought I was a backup anyway.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to try my best, but I'm coming off the bench.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I guess that's my answer to your question.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think if they start to door, there will be only five wins.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_01]: So the only scenario where that's the case is if the Sean Watson is a quarterback, but we just in the same boat to fire them.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_04]: Well, here's, I guess then, like, I'd appreciate your answer, but I don't care about that.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_04]: I just want to know if we win five games, what are people going to be saying?
- 47:05[SPEAKER_07]: If we're going to say fire, I'm not going to say fire, I'm not going to say fire because if I say fire, I'm going to be a flash here.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_04]: It better not be good enough this year with the better more talented roster.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_04]: That's, that's going to be my thing.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to think it starts or it won't be that we won't be in that boat.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_04]: I sure hope so, but Vegas doesn't think that while they think six.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_04]: I'll be saying the same thing with six, because I can make the argument, and I've listened to a whole bunch of people talk about this roster should win more than six games.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_04]: Kurt, things were going to the freakin' Super Bowl.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_01]: So, I don't love that.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think that's the case.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_04]: I guess I just want to gauge the Brownspan's expectations for this year, because I don't want to get to the end of the year of five wins and all of a sudden everybody thinks that's okay.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_04]: Because we just fired everybody.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_01]: God, please, not any of my guests.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I thought like I said, if we start to watch that there's a chance that we're talking that type of scenario, we start to adore, I think there's a good chance we sneak in on a wild card.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I think.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_07]: I gotta see this offensive line first.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_07]: I gotta see how they roll before I make any kind of prediction.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_07]: I need to see something, even like the backups in preseason.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_07]: I just need to see how they're gonna mold and what kind of intensity they have.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_07]: And I think it's gonna be high because everything's new, you know?
- 48:30[SPEAKER_07]: It's like I said, it's a sparkly time of the relationship, right?
- 48:33[SPEAKER_07]: So, I think it's gonna be good, but the...
- 48:36[SPEAKER_07]: I'm really leaning on that offensive line I need to see before I make any kind of expectations.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_07]: And my expectation is that they're going to be trained up well by the Georgia War Hop.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_07]: So, I need to see that first.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: Um, do we want to get, I think, I'm guessing this is gauge.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_02]: Real quick before we.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I forgot about two minutes.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_05]: I made a clip.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I can grab, what's up, what's up, everybody?
- 49:04[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, I'm the newborn.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_05]: So, I guess for me, I think, you know, with our roster improvement overall, and I think whichever way they go, the genre should or I think it'll lead to.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_05]: Maynard be a few more wins, but I can see us going 9-10 and make 9-10 wins, maybe squeaking in to a wildcard spot or just missing it.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_05]: I can easily see it that way.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_05]: but I can also see it, you know, the zaster hits Cleveland, which I mean, we're not new to that.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's spelled.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_02]: But we win.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_02]: That's called a number one game.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_05]: So, but I guess the optimistic me says nine, 10 wins, and maybe sneaking into a wild card spot.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_04]: I said, they talked about the mystic with everything.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_04]: I just don't want, I don't want him to get a pass just because we like the way talks right now in terms of, you know, he's a straight shooter.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_04]: So if we only went five games this year, it's okay.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_04]: That's that's not going to, that's not going to suffice for me.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, 100% and I think I think even Todd Munkin would even agree with what you're saying.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_05]: He would hold himself to a high standard.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_05]: Well, he's living with an excuse.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_05]: And winning only five games and saying that's not... Come on, give me another chance, guys.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_07]: He's the guy that says he hates shitty football, right?
- 50:38[SPEAKER_07]: So, and he's got to hold himself accountable to that.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_07]: And yeah, I mean, we'll see what happens with that.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_07]: But you're a five and 12 team until you're not.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_07]: And right now the Browns are already five and 12 team that would finish under the six and a half that's projected from Las Vegas until they prove it.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_07]: And like I just said earlier, I need to see the offensive line.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_07]: I need to see the quarterback play well against that offensive line.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_07]: I think it'll help with the new receivers that we have, but all that's gotta be like, almost like last year, like if, if, if, if, you know, we'll see what happens, but, but the talent is there.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_07]: So, I'm happy about that.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_07]: Hold it up.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think, you know, look good, good.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_04]: No, go ahead, go ahead.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_05]: Um, yeah, so I just think Riftwood, you know,
- 51:34[SPEAKER_05]: I think if our defense is at least top 10, if it's not top 5, and I think with our improvement on offense, I think, you know, like I said before, maybe sneak in the wild card, maybe just miss, but you know, but that's it.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_05]: Here I'm hoping, I'm hoping, but yeah, it all depends on health and if players show up and
- 52:00[SPEAKER_07]: Dude, we've had enough injury over the last like three, four years.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_07]: I think we need that year where we don't have much.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_07]: So that's got to be this year.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_07]: 20, 20 sticks is the non-injury year for the Browns.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_07]: You think so, Kenny, but I'm putting in an existence.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I'm putting in an existence.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_07]: Let's go.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I think the rain parted out.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of what we've...
- 52:24[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks a lot, Gage.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate hearing from you guys.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_02]: I know we're going to wrap up, but just kind of put a bow on that.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_02]: There's definitely reason for optimism.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like Blake said, cautiously optimistic, but at the same time, guards your heart because you know what can happen as a brown fan.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's, we've lived it.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_02]: We've got the scars, but
- 52:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's on paper.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_02]: We've done the right things.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_02]: We've got the right players.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_02]: We've added where we needed to.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_02]: We've put the coaching staff in place all this stuff, but we'll see how it translates to the field starting in September.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_04]: Well, we'll wrap this thing up before any of us get in trouble.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_04]: We appreciate you guys being here, especially dog pack members who jumped on here, came up onto the stage and talked.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_04]: You guys make these episodes fun.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_04]: We really appreciate it.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_04]: I'm super happy.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_04]: I finally got to get back get back on and do an episode for you guys.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_04]: So thanks for being so patient with my in and out absences like the last month and a half or so.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_04]: So I promise I'm still here, you know, just tough right now, but as things get
- 53:25[SPEAKER_04]: I appreciate you guys being patient, be sure to everybody who's checking out the show, and then we'll see you guys later this week.
