- 0:00Stop worrying and stop making time to try to change anyone else but yourself.
- 0:06It's a waste of time.
- 0:07You'll be frustrated.
- 0:09It doesn't matter if it's your child.
- 0:10It doesn't matter if it's your parent.
- 0:11It doesn't matter if it's your partner.
- 0:13You have to focus all your energy on you because it's the only thing you have control over.
- 0:19So I'll give you a perfect example.
- 0:21If you can avoid a toxin, do it.
- 0:23Like, if you can.
- 0:23If you can't, well, it's unavoidable.
- 0:25If you can choose a non-toxic solution, do it.
- 0:29But that choice is hard.
- 0:30The reason that our feelings are so important is because they change our chemistry.
- 0:34And just like you can have an emotion like fear, worry, anxiety, they can actually create chemicals in our body, hormones in our body that are destroying our cells and our ability to function.
- 0:46But at the same time, I can switch that and...
- 0:49If there is something that may keep you up at night about humanity, what would it be?
- 0:53Well, the important thing is to recognize that... Dr. Fab Mancini, I've known you for years.
- 1:05Sat down with you back when I drank, had a glass of wine, you know, and just always mind-blowing encouragement, revelation, things I never knew before.
- 1:19just come through you and that you kind of know, based on the things that I'm saying, you know right what to say.
- 1:24And this is,
- 1:26not only learned, I think it's part of your brilliance, part of why you're on this planet.
- 1:31And I can't wait for you to drop some serious advice for our listeners today.
- 1:38It's like you're going to cover a topic that's probably the biggest toxicity out there that I believe in.
- 1:43This is coming from Non-Toxic Dad, the toxicity of the mind and how it stops us from having that fab conversation.
- 1:50life.
- 1:50So tell us your story.
- 1:52I mean, you're a doctor of chiropractic.
- 1:54You've been in holistic space for so many years and been a leader, right, in this movement.
- 2:00And it's truly an honor to have you here.
- 2:03Thank you so much, man.
- 2:04You know, I'm a big fan and my journey is very simple, very humble beginning.
- 2:10We were born in South America, Colombia.
- 2:12That's why the sexy accent.
- 2:14Yeah, it's very sexy.
- 2:15My mom and dad were struggling because my dad was an alcoholic and he was struggling with his life.
- 2:21Money was never the issue.
- 2:22It was more the alcohol.
- 2:24So she said all of a sudden one day, boys, we're moving to Miami so your dad can get some treatment.
- 2:30So we moved to Miami.
- 2:31My dad went to a rehab for six months, never drank again.
- 2:35And it was a happy ending.
- 2:37But our lives were challenging because here I am, first day of school, they pushed me back two years because I didn't speak English.
- 2:46And here I am trying to make new friends.
- 2:48I can't communicate.
- 2:50So it was an interesting beginning, but it made us realize that the intention of my parents was for us to have a better future.
- 2:58And that's what we all really adopted.
- 3:01Yeah.
- 3:02And then my parents said, here in the United States, it's really up to you what you want to become.
- 3:07So instead of them having to deal and do what their parents did, they encouraged us to find our passion.
- 3:14And that was the foundation for a very successful life because we got to choose what we became.
- 3:22Money was not the driver.
- 3:23It was impact.
- 3:24And we were very clear about that since the beginning.
- 3:27And then I chose, I was heading towards Harvard and Johns Hopkins to become a medical doctor.
- 3:32Ended up in an accident.
- 3:34The orthopedic surgeon in the hospital told me, you need to go see my chiropractor.
- 3:39These drugs are only going to help you short term.
- 3:41Yes.
- 3:41So I went to my chiropractor and that's where I felt I got introduced with what I call the world of prevention.
- 3:47And I realized that the majority of the illnesses today, over 80% are preventable.
- 3:52If we can just change mindset and behavior.
- 3:55But in those days, there was no preventative medicine.
- 3:58There was no wellness.
- 3:59There was no regenerative medicine.
- 4:01So my counselor said, become a chiropractor.
- 4:04And as I'm becoming a chiropractor, I discover acupuncture.
- 4:07So I become an acupuncturist.
- 4:08And then energy medicine and all nutrition.
- 4:11And I realized that for the last 38 years,
- 4:15My whole driving factor is to make people recognize two things.
- 4:19Number one, they got to put their health, and I include mindset in that, as the number one priority in life.
- 4:25And number two, they have to make good choices every day, better choices than the ones we made yesterday, and that would ensure a better tomorrow.
- 4:33Yeah, it's beautiful.
- 4:34And I think one of the—when it comes to—I just—you know, every podcast and every practitioner, especially when it comes to removing toxins from your life, it's overwhelming, right?
- 4:45It's overwhelming.
- 4:45The title of my new book, Non-Toxic Living, How to Thrive in Everything, a freaking toxic world.
- 4:52Like, how can you do this?
- 4:53Like, is it possible?
- 4:55But so I—
- 4:57People are going to listen to this podcast over and over again because I want you to break down the consequence, but more importantly, the blessing, the evolution, not just when you're choosing a non-toxic lifestyle, right, which includes mindset.
- 5:12When you choose that, how that can literally affect every area of your life because you're learning how to overcome a belief system.
- 5:20There's so many psychological – and it's funny.
- 5:24Like you had trouble communicating back in the day, but now your word choice is very specific and makes them – you're –
- 5:34It's almost like Gandalf said, the greatest—sorry, Christians, but the greatest witchcraft, right?
- 5:41The greatest power, the greatest magic.
- 5:43Let's not say that.
- 5:44Let's not call it witchcraft.
- 5:45We'll call it magic, right?
- 5:47The greatest magic is your words.
- 5:49And so your words—
- 5:53are God-breathed to transform yourself and others.
- 5:58They're the greatest tool to change yourself and your biology.
- 6:03And so they are truly magic.
- 6:06And help walk through these moms, these dads, these partners, these moms.
- 6:12kids watching this, listening to this podcast.
- 6:14I have a little bit of a younger kid following.
- 6:16They love the non-toxic.
- 6:17That's the child in you.
- 6:19You're attracting those.
- 6:20Yeah.
- 6:20And I want to help them how to navigate choice.
- 6:26And how to live and choose, choose a non-toxic lifestyle because it is a choice.
- 6:32My cliche saying is if you can avoid a toxin, do it.
- 6:35Like if you can.
- 6:36If you can't, well, it's unavoidable.
- 6:38If you can choose a non-toxic solution, do it.
- 6:41But that choice is hard.
- 6:43So we want to break down the psychology of why we don't choose and how we can choose that fab life.
- 6:48Well, I can break it down through some of my understanding in science.
- 6:52Throughout these last 38 years, I realized that in science, there were two primarily concepts that really were mind-changing for me.
- 7:01The first one was genetics, and the second one was called epigenetics.
- 7:06So genetics is the blueprint, your gene code that makes you who you are today.
- 7:13But today we learned that the environment, which is epigenetics around the cell, can actually trigger whether that gene activates or doesn't activate.
- 7:25So in the disease process, we stopped looking at genes for the solution of the problem.
- 7:32especially when it came to health, we started changing the environment and realized that we can be more successful in helping people get well.
- 7:40So when you translate it into daily life, there's an internal and there's an external component to you.
- 7:46So the first thing that I would say to myself is, first of all, stop worrying and stop making time.
- 7:53to try to change anyone else but yourself.
- 7:55It's a waste of time.
- 7:57You'll be frustrated.
- 7:58It doesn't matter if it's your child.
- 8:00It doesn't matter if it's your parent.
- 8:01It doesn't matter if it's your partner.
- 8:03You have to focus all your energy on you because it's the only thing you have control over.
- 8:09So once you start there, now you start looking at the internal mechanism.
- 8:13So when I was 16 years old, actually it was 18 years old, my mother and my father decided to sign us up for a course called Silva Mind Control.
- 8:24And the reason that that was critical, it was my first introduction to personal development.
- 8:29Yeah.
- 8:30And what in those days they were sharing, and this was many years ago, is that the mind can actually be shifted and it can create different outcomes by shifting it.
- 8:42So in those days, we were told in science that the brain did not change.
- 8:46So now we have another fancy term called neuroplasticity.
- 8:50Your brain is constantly adapting to your environment.
- 8:53So if you go back to the internal mechanism,
- 8:56Your thoughts of today, your behaviors of today are primarily based on the environment of your youth.
- 9:03That's your internal mechanism.
- 9:05So if you want to try to find out why you're reacting to certain things the way you are, go back to your past.
- 9:11Because in those first six to seven years, the environment around you was dictating what your subconscious mind, which is 95% of what we are,
- 9:21It's dictating every single day.
- 9:23That's our pattern.
- 9:23So the first thing is to look at your internal environment.
- 9:27Do I really believe in what I'm saying?
- 9:30Or am I saying it just because my parents told me that that's the way it was?
- 9:34Or because my grandparents told me that's the way it was?
- 9:36So we begin with that, your internal mechanism.
- 9:39And as you evaluate your internal mechanism, you can start making changes there and say, you know what?
- 9:44I don't believe in that.
- 9:45I believe in this.
- 9:46And that you can start changing it.
- 9:48But then once you go through your internal mechanism, now you start looking at your environment around you.
- 9:55So another person that I met in my early days was a guy named Jim Rohn.
- 10:00And Jim Rohn is known today because he was kind of like the mentor to Tony Robbins.
- 10:05And Jim used to say something.
- 10:07Pay attention to the five people that you surround yourself with because that's who you will become.
- 10:13So I started since that time in my early 20s, starting to select who do I surround myself with?
- 10:20That's your environment.
- 10:22So if you want to change your mindset...
- 10:25take a look at the people that you're surrounding yourself with.
- 10:28These people that are actually negative all the time, pessimistic.
- 10:32If you got an opportunity or an idea, they're the first ones that will talk you out of it, or they're the ones pushing you to do it.
- 10:39Begin to select who you want to surround yourself with.
- 10:43So for me as a young person, when I learned this principle, I started surrounding myself with much older people that had accomplished the things that I already wanted to accomplish in my early 20s.
- 10:55So one of my mentors was the president of my university.
- 10:59He used to say, Fab, I want you to be president of this university one day.
- 11:04And I'm like, Dr. Jim, I'm only 24 years old.
- 11:07Maybe when I'm 60, he was actually 70.
- 11:10And little by little, I realized that because he mentored me, when he passed away, the board asked me if I would replace him.
- 11:20I was 33 years old.
- 11:23I said no for many months and then I decided to do it.
- 11:27And I thought it would be like a six-month gig that I would do on the side of practicing.
- 11:32And that'll be in 13 and a half years.
- 11:34And I became the youngest president in the United States of a college or university at the time, according to NBC News, that came and interviewed me that day.
- 11:44So what I'm here to say- Because you surrounded yourself early with great mentors.
- 11:47Whoever you surround yourself with, right?
- 11:50And that's why I believe so much in mentoring, coaching, or also selecting people in your network of friends.
- 11:57Because many of us, you know, when we're in high school, we can be a little bit immature.
- 12:01Maybe even in college, we can be a little bit immature.
- 12:04But then we graduate and we go into the workplace and we want to advance our careers.
- 12:09But guess what?
- 12:10We're still surrounding ourselves with our high school friends and our college friends, where most of them are still living like if we were still back 20 years ago.
- 12:20So many times we have to let go of relationships that are holding us back.
- 12:26And I'm talking about girlfriends, boyfriends, partners, whatever.
- 12:29High school buddies.
- 12:29You have to be able to say to yourself, I am not that person anymore.
- 12:35This relationship does not serve me any longer.
- 12:37It's okay to move forward.
- 12:39Yeah, it's okay.
- 12:41It's okay.
- 12:41Yeah, I want to summarize this because this is the path that I've chosen, right?
- 12:47I did evaluate my belief systems around money, around all these things.
- 12:51So here's a belief system.
- 12:53Fat is bad.
- 12:54I was born in 74.
- 12:57I was in the low-fat movement.
- 12:59Fat is bad for you.
- 13:00That was a belief system.
- 13:02And people today still believe that BS because that's how they were raised.
- 13:06They think that just because your grandma knew a lot of things that were right in my generation and great-grandmas, they were living the non-toxic lifestyle.
- 13:14So that, your belief about money, I will never have enough, that will dictate your future.
- 13:19Right?
- 13:19right?
- 13:19And if you have bad health advice, question it.
- 13:22Be brave enough to question the health advice that you're getting, however you were raised.
- 13:29Question it.
- 13:30Number two,
- 13:32choosing and it's hard to surround yourself with people.
- 13:36And this has really closed down my circle.
- 13:39Like I can't hang out with someone who just wants to come over and drink alcohol anymore.
- 13:43Like I just can't have it.
- 13:44Like, cause it's not the environment that I want to create.
- 13:47I don't want my family seeing it.
- 13:48It's not who, it's not who I am.
- 13:50And it just literally lowers my frequency.
- 13:53I love these people.
- 13:54They're kind people, but all they do is want to party.
- 13:57And I just, I just don't.
- 13:58It's taking me away from the goals that I have.
- 14:01It's not moving me towards God.
- 14:03It's taking me away from God, right?
- 14:04It's not moving me towards a movement.
- 14:07The person you were destined to become is what I call it.
- 14:10Yeah.
- 14:10You know, most of us are living our reality and we judge ourselves based upon who we are today.
- 14:15Yeah.
- 14:16I never look at myself where I am today.
- 14:18I'm always thinking about who I was meant to be tomorrow.
- 14:22My destiny is what I'm working towards.
- 14:24But if I stay within who I am today, that's where the ego takes over.
- 14:29And if you're successful, you think like I arrived.
- 14:32And then all of a sudden your business, your life starts going down because you realize I have...
- 14:38I wish I felt like I arrived someday because I never feel like that.
- 14:42Well, there will be times that you will feel that, especially when other people try to put you on a pedestal.
- 14:47You know, I was blessed that my parents kept us very humble.
- 14:50They always said to us that we're only instruments of something greater, right?
- 14:54So we're here only to serve.
- 14:56And if we look at life like that, you will never be disappointed.
- 15:01But if you feel that life revolves around you, you will be frustrated, you will be disappointed.
- 15:07And more importantly, you will be depressed because you realize that there's so much more than you in this world.
- 15:13Like, for instance, I was telling you that I have CEOs that have sought me out after I retired from Parker.
- 15:22And they want me to mentor them.
- 15:23And I often said to myself, why would a billionaire want me to mentor them?
- 15:27Right?
- 15:27I'm not a billionaire.
- 15:28Yeah.
- 15:29But then I was judging my value based on an economic component.
- 15:34They could care less about money.
- 15:36What they want is I want to be healthier.
- 15:39I had a guy that came to me and said, Fab, I just had my eighth exit.
- 15:43I got $2 billion in cash.
- 15:46And I can't even get up out in the morning without all this pain.
- 15:50I can't make love to my wife because of all these issues.
- 15:53I need help.
- 15:55And we evaluated his health.
- 15:56He sacrificed his health for the sake of building that last company.
- 16:00And he regretted it.
- 16:02But at the same time, we...
- 16:05What I told him is that your body can adapt to a new healthy body.
- 16:08We just have to change your behaviors, your mindset, and let's start making different choices in your life every single day.
- 16:17And he was able to regain that.
- 16:19But what I'm here to say is...
- 16:21that what many of us consider success is usually based on materialism, right?
- 16:27I got a title.
- 16:29I got a house.
- 16:30I got a car.
- 16:31I got a job.
- 16:33I got money in the bank.
- 16:34I got investments, right?
- 16:36And in reality, all of that stuff you can't take with you.
- 16:40I've always said your success comes from the contributions you're making that particular time, right?
- 16:46It's not what I did last year.
- 16:48I never look back.
- 16:49I'm always looking at what I can contribute today.
- 16:53And if I have 24 hours today, I'm going to contribute the most that I can.
- 16:57And if I'm happy and blessed to wake up tomorrow, great.
- 17:01I get another day to do it.
- 17:02Because happiness comes from contribution.
- 17:06It doesn't come from the attainment of something.
- 17:09It's the pursuit of something.
- 17:11And the pursuit should be about supporting others rather than supporting yourself.
- 17:17Chemically, the dopamine serotonin you receive through serving is going to be way higher and way more fulfilling.
- 17:25Or even the gratitude that will lower your cortisol levels.
- 17:29I mean, it's just you realize.
- 17:32It's a symphony.
- 17:32You know, in my last book called The Power of Self-Healing, it became number one in 10 countries.
- 17:37And I'm still lecturing after 10 years about it.
- 17:40I talked about that emotions, the reason that our feelings are so important is because they change our chemistry.
- 17:47And just like you can have an emotion like fear, worry, anxiety, they can actually create chemicals in our body, hormones in our body that are destroying our cells and our ability to function.
- 18:00But at the same time, I can switch that and become happy.
- 18:04grateful, forgiving, and all of a sudden now I'm producing healthy hormones that are making me feel healthy again.
- 18:14And I'm so with you on this, like the motivating factors that the clear vision I need to have to do what I do or to do any health decision, I have to create this, imagine this vision of my life that I want.
- 18:26I want, I imagine myself with my grandchildren and my sweet, my grown-up babies, like bringing grandchildren over and be able to pick them up and walk with them and going for a bike ride.
- 18:36And I know if I don't take care of my back, if I don't take care of my body, even though I'm a non-toxic dad, I know exercise is important and movement and
- 18:43non-toxic living, I still have to choose that every day.
- 18:47And if I don't have that motivating factor, I'll choose the easy road.
- 18:51I'd rather work.
- 18:52I'd love it.
- 18:53I'd rather get on a phone and inspire someone else than take care of myself.
- 18:58It's easier.
- 18:59Right.
- 19:01than the pain of exercise.
- 19:02It's easier than, you know, turning on the water distiller, right?
- 19:06And getting cleaner water and putting salt in it.
- 19:08Like, I'll just drink it straight, you know?
- 19:10So these are choices.
- 19:12And I have to create that vision.
- 19:14And through serving is the only way I'm able to do what I do.
- 19:17Else I would burn out.
- 19:18Like how Warren, they ask, how did you do 27 podcasts just last week?
- 19:22How are you doing another 25 this week?
- 19:26Like in 10 days, I'll do over 50 podcasts.
- 19:29How do you do that?
- 19:30connecting with people like you, knowing that I visualize children suffering.
- 19:36I visualize people not being able, being blinded because they're programmed by media to not understand that glyphosate is poison, that there's $11 billion in paid out lawsuits and probably another $20 billion coming their way, that they're paying off.
- 19:51So they can still use this toxic chemical because they're making more money.
- 19:54So one of the things that I—you're probably the best person to ask this question.
- 19:58People are fearful of toxins, and they're so overwhelmed—
- 20:02by changing this lifestyle, right?
- 20:05And they fear them.
- 20:06And I tell them, don't fear them, you know?
- 20:09What would you tell someone that's having a hard time hearing like my videos and saying, oh, Warren, don't use a plastic, you know, like that's just fear.
- 20:18So how can you say, hey, you know, don't be afraid.
- 20:22How can they change their mindset around living a lifestyle that ultimately give life, right?
- 20:28with some of the base principles that you're sharing, you need to surround yourself with people.
- 20:31You need to find out your belief systems, right?
- 20:33You need to do things because it's serving humanity because it's a better form of energy.
- 20:39Self-eventing.
- 20:41becoming a bodybuilder to look good, and if you did it for that reason, you get the body and then you're depressed, right?
- 20:47If you're going after money, you get the money, you're depressed.
- 20:50Because the motivating factor wasn't, I'm gonna help a billion people and if I happen to make a billion dollars, that's cool.
- 20:56What would you tell someone to avoid this trap of giving up because it's too overwhelming, it's too fearful?
- 21:03Well, the important thing is to recognize that
- 21:08I would switch the word fear to the word awareness.
- 21:13So when you're doing all of your information content that you're giving all of us, right?
- 21:18Trying to help us become aware.
- 21:21It's not because you wanna create a fear that will stop me from truly maximizing the potential in my life, potentially my health.
- 21:30It's because you want us to become aware
- 21:33that there is choices that we're making today that may not be as healthful or as helpful as we think they are.
- 21:42So that way the awareness becomes the empowerment.
- 21:45You see, a fear is a disempowerment belief.
- 21:49It paralyzes you, right?
- 21:51They say that is probably the number one reason why people never achieve their potential is because of a fear.
- 21:58And my fear to me, the way I've interpreted for many years, is a fear is when I have, I hear information and I have an expectation of a negative outcome.
- 22:09So I train myself that the only way that I can diffuse fear is to switch that expectation of a negative outcome, because it's all in your mind.
- 22:18It hasn't even happened.
- 22:20It's expectation.
- 22:21Expectation of a positive outcome.
- 22:24So I take the same information and instead of disempowering me that I think this is going to harm me, this is going to end up with me losing my job, this is going to unfortunately allow me to lose my health, I do the opposite.
- 22:39I take that information and I have an expectation of what can I do with that information to ensure that I have a positive outcome that will lead me to a better tomorrow.
- 22:49And that's how I've been able to switch it myself.
- 22:52So I love this.
- 22:53So when you're listening to this information, non-toxic dad, and it's a BS.
- 22:59It's a belief system that you currently don't have.
- 23:01But instead of calling it fear, look at it as an awareness thing.
- 23:07Be open to that awareness.
- 23:10And instead of thinking that that thing is going to create a negative outcome in your life, like you're going to lose that Diet Coke.
- 23:16Right.
- 23:17And I love that Diet Coke.
- 23:19I'm addicted to that Diet Coke.
- 23:20That's a negative outcome for you.
- 23:22Look at this awareness that I'm sharing as an opportunity to create a more positive outcome.
- 23:28Weight loss, because we know that Diet Coke actually can cause insulin resistance and all the toxicity can lead to diabetes and all these, even cancer, right?
- 23:40So you're looking at...
- 23:42The thing that I'm telling you that's not—it doesn't align with your belief system.
- 23:47I get it.
- 23:48Like, I thought low-fat was good.
- 23:50I thought all calories were the same.
- 23:52Like, I had the same BS as the people that are, you know, don't understand.
- 23:57They don't understand.
- 23:58Like, I don't get mad.
- 23:59I'm like, thank you for sharing.
- 24:00Thank you for your concern, right?
- 24:03But looking at what we're sharing, awareness—
- 24:07that we're not trying to create a negative outcome.
- 24:09It's not fear.
- 24:10It's awareness to help create a better life for you.
- 24:14And there's not been one thing that the big things that we share that doesn't create a more positive outcome.
- 24:23And then I get those.
- 24:24Of course, we get that feedback.
- 24:25Warren, you changed my life fab.
- 24:27If it wasn't for that one thing that you told me, that one piece of information, one conversation can change someone's life.
- 24:34It's the old Tony Robbins.
- 24:36But it's here.
- 24:39So I'll give you a perfect example.
- 24:41So when I chose to become a doctor of chiropractic instead of becoming a doctor of medicine, about 80% of the people that came to me said, what are you doing?
- 24:50You have such a bright future becoming a medical doctor.
- 24:54Yeah, and that's what the world would say.
- 24:55It's better.
- 24:55Yeah, because it's a different paradigm that they're living in.
- 24:59Yeah.
- 25:00I captured the value of why I wanted to become a doctor of chiropractic, right?
- 25:04It was prevention.
- 25:05It was holistic health.
- 25:07It was taking responsibility for my health instead of giving that responsibility to somebody else and on and on.
- 25:14So then when I realized that it was my decision for the right reasons, right?
- 25:19What I realized is that I then all of a sudden started attracting people.
- 25:24A whole different set of people that were reinforcing my new decision and letting go of the people that were not.
- 25:30In fact, even my parents were saying that to me.
- 25:33I'm the only one out of five boys that when we go to a family gathering, everybody lines up for me to check them, adjust them.
- 25:40Everybody.
- 25:41My brothers are so envious of me because no one has that power in my family.
- 25:46Everybody now is the great, the grandchildren, you know, that all of our children, they line up.
- 25:52Just the babies, yeah.
- 25:53Uncle Fab is here.
- 25:54Yeah.
- 25:54They line up to get adjusted.
- 25:55But the idea was that I was exposed to a different paradigm than I was raised and trained to become.
- 26:04That paradigm gave me an insight.
- 26:07That made me realize that most conditions on health can be prevented.
- 26:13And the reason that I went all in into this wellness space is because I was really challenged by the suffering of humanity.
- 26:24Mm-hmm.
- 26:26Humanity was never meant to suffer.
- 26:29I saw my grandmother not being able to walk because of her inflammation in the body, bad knees, arthritis, all of these things.
- 26:37I'm like, that's not life.
- 26:39I want to play with my grandmother.
- 26:41You know, I saw both of my grandfathers passed away from heart conditions in their late 50s.
- 26:47Oh, my gosh.
- 26:48I'm like, this is not life.
- 26:51So when I was introduced to this paradigm, I realized that this was my opportunity to actually break the chain of generations by introducing a whole new paradigm to my children.
- 27:04So my children were raised in a whole different way than I was raised.
- 27:09But because I was raised in an allopathic perspective, traditional hell, I...
- 27:14I can be actually a better educator because I can share with people, you know what, I know you're struggling with that soda, right?
- 27:22But let me tell you, that soda probably is attached to some emotion, but is it working for you?
- 27:27No?
- 27:27How about if I introduce you to maybe a different alternative to that soda, like water, purified water, that's simple.
- 27:35You know, why don't we take instead of four sodas a day, why don't you just drink three in one water?
- 27:40Let's start there.
- 27:41Yeah.
- 27:41And gradually...
- 27:42Incremental, yeah.
- 27:43Because our bodies are adaptive beings.
- 27:45So whatever environment that we put in our bodies, our bodies will adapt.
- 27:49The biggest challenge is that most people don't think they can change.
- 27:53They don't think they can change.
- 27:55And change is the most natural process that our body, because biologically...
- 28:00We are adaptive beings.
- 28:03All we have to do is give ourselves the opportunity to make that change one step at a time.
- 28:09You don't have to change everything overnight.
- 28:11Just one change.
- 28:12That's why I boil it down when people say to me, you know, Fab, you've been in this space for so long.
- 28:17You educate millions of people through your media outlets and your lectures, your books.
- 28:22What is the key to health?
- 28:24And I said, I boil it down very simple for myself.
- 28:27Is I look at my day and I say, what choices did I make yesterday when it came to my health?
- 28:33Did I do my brain tap?
- 28:34Did I do my mindset?
- 28:37Did I eat a...
- 28:39a healthy meal, did I exercise properly?
- 28:43And today I try to make at least one choice that is better than yesterday when it came to my health.
- 28:49And that ensures that tomorrow I'm gonna be healthier than I was today.
- 28:54But then you don't have to stop in your health.
- 28:56How about the relationship with your partner?
- 28:59Did I pay attention to them, my children?
- 29:01Or was I so consumed with my podcast that I completely neglected my family, right?
- 29:07So today,
- 29:09I'm going to take two hours out of my day to just give my full attention and be present with my children, with my spouse, with my significant other.
- 29:18And that makes it a better day.
- 29:20So that's going to help your relationship.
- 29:22It does.
- 29:22And it helps your podcast because there's a foundation of love, of unity.
- 29:28You're full.
- 29:28Yeah, you're full.
- 29:29Imagine if you go, go, go, go.
- 29:32That's what I'm doing right now.
- 29:34I literally have to play music, ground, pray.
- 29:39watch my family and sometimes cry because I miss them, you know, when I'm traveling, I miss them dearly.
- 29:45And then I have to step back in to my purpose.
- 29:47But my wife said, I'd rather you travel, you know, and get a lot done in a short amount of time.
- 29:52So it's, so anyway, I think two things I want to say, and then we'll wrap.
- 29:55I have one final question for you because you have to jump on a plane.
- 29:59The belief system that I'm going to die anyway.
- 30:02I think is something I wanna share with you and with others.
- 30:06If you believe at 50, I'm just gonna die anyway.
- 30:09I'm just gonna die of cancer.
- 30:10I'm just gonna live my life.
- 30:12Please rethink that because you're a living example.
- 30:15You've dedicated your life to the chiropractic message, remove the interference, the body will heal.
- 30:19Ultimately, what I hear you saying, Fab, is if you change your environment, meaning the friends you're around and you have people that are challenging you,
- 30:29I only put people around me that are going to challenge me, challenge me spiritually, challenge me emotionally.
- 30:33If I say something negative, they're going to reframe me.
- 30:36That's who I surround myself with.
- 30:38That environment makes me a happier, more positive person so that I can add more value to the world, which drives my energy, right?
- 30:46I switch up like I had 50% polyester clothing six months ago.
- 30:51I got rid of it.
- 30:52I changed my environment so that my body can be even healthier, right?
- 30:55I'm not putting microplastics into my skin.
- 30:57That's just for me.
- 30:58I'm changing my environment.
- 30:59My body will adapt, and it's going to become healthier.
- 31:02I'm not going to kill off...
- 31:04you know, as many cells anymore that need to die because they're poisoned, because your body toxins cause cells to die.
- 31:12You know, I'm going to do things that are healthy for me each and every day.
- 31:14I'm going to move more so that my lymphatic is doing better, so I'm going to be healthier.
- 31:19Your body will adapt to that exercise.
- 31:20It'll build more muscle.
- 31:22This adaptation changes.
- 31:23changing your environment, changing your words, creating a mind, body, and spirit so that your adaptation isn't adapt.
- 31:32Your body is adapting and disease is an adaptation, right?
- 31:36Health is an adaptation.
- 31:38So beautifully said, you know, I mean, you've written books on this stuff, so no wonder why I got it, right?
- 31:43I'm saying what your books say.
- 31:45And I've never read your book, but I'm reading you.
- 31:47And Fab, this is a really powerful question for you.
- 31:53if there is something that may keep you up at night about humanity, I'm not going to use the word fear because that would be the wrong word, but something that you're aware of that concerns you deeply about the state of the world of humanity.
- 32:06And if you could, through what you do, show humanity a better way or remove that toxin, what would it be?
- 32:17You know, one of my dear friends and a patient was Wayne Dyer.
- 32:21Yeah.
- 32:21And Wayne taught me a great lesson long time ago.
- 32:24And he said that his pursuit of happiness was to live always with the music inside of him.
- 32:33Mm-hmm.
- 32:35The biggest treasure in the world is not museums, is not churches, is not all this, the treasury.
- 32:44It's actually the biggest treasure in the world is a cemetery because people have died with their talents, with their riches all within themselves.
- 32:53Yes.
- 32:54So to me, my biggest concern in humanity is that we as a human species are not reaching our potential primarily because most of us don't think we're capable of.
- 33:10And the message that I've tried to do is I start with health.
- 33:14Because I try to tell people that when you put health as a priority, it will actually impact every other area of your life.
- 33:22Because it's hard to have a good relationship with your partner when you're sick.
- 33:26It's hard to make a lot of money when you're sick.
- 33:28It's hard to contribute to your community when you're sick.
- 33:31It's hard to have great friendships and social life when you're sick.
- 33:35So put health as a priority.
- 33:37And then now it's become that before you can change your behaviors of health, like Les Brown, a dear friend of mine, says, you can't expect 2025 to be a better year showing up the same as you were in 2024.
- 33:52You have to alter yourself.
- 33:54So what I've learned is the 80-20 rule.
- 33:58The 80-20 rule, it was a scientist called Pareto, and he discovered that 20% of your behavior yields 80% of the results.
- 34:10And mathematically, he proved it.
- 34:11And he's taught in business schools as a 80-20 rule.
- 34:16What I've learned is that the 20% that needs to be the precursor to the 80% is your mindset.
- 34:23Focus every single day in trying to shift.
- 34:26How can I look at this, think about this differently than I did before?
- 34:31And then when you do that, the 80% behaviors, they're going to be actually new behaviors that will drive the change and the transformation that we're looking for.
- 34:42So to me, my biggest challenge is that people are unfortunately thinking they cannot become the person that they think they were meant to be.
- 34:52They are stuck as a victim.
- 34:54And the pandemic did the worst to it all because it victimized the majority of the world.
- 35:00I want to remind people that they're here for a much higher purpose than the one that they're living.
- 35:05And it is up to them to seek out what that is and to make better choices every single day to move towards that direction instead of feeling sorry for themselves as to where they find themselves today.
- 35:18Yeah, beautifully said.
- 35:20And humanity doesn't need that right now.
- 35:22And even today, I can agree.
- 35:24Like I look at my life and I'm like, what's holding me back the most from achieving the movement, the mission that I believe that I'm on this planet to live for?
- 35:36It's my health still to this day.
- 35:38Right.
- 35:39And I beat myself up over that.
- 35:41And that's the mindset.
- 35:42So I have to tell myself that I am healthy, that I am strong, that I am resilient.
- 35:46But I physically don't feel the energy at times to be able to accomplish the goals.
- 35:52But I believe through the small choices that I'm making every day that I'm becoming healthier.
- 35:57And that's so beautifully said.
- 35:59And so many people don't realize how loved and brilliant they are.
- 36:04And I hope you hear what Dr. Fab said today, right?
- 36:09If you can realize that you do have a greater purpose, that you are created for that purpose.
- 36:15And it sounds cliche, but it's not.
- 36:19There's a powerful force out there that's flowing through you.
- 36:22And if you tap into it and you could recognize it.
- 36:26your life could radically change from a podcast like this, getting on your, listening to more of your work to truly understand, you know, we can't do this in 40 minutes.
- 36:35We can't do the work that took you 38, 40 years to develop.
- 36:41So I want people to find your work, to learn from you.
- 36:44How can they do that?
- 36:45Well, I try to make it easy for people.
- 36:48So my handle in all social media is Dr. Fab Mancini.
- 36:52And my website is Dr. Fab Mancini, D-R-F-A-B-M-A-N-C-I-N-I.com.
- 36:59And so that is the handle for everything that you want to follow with me.
- 37:05And more importantly, remember that I'm just a reflection of you.
- 37:10You know, I am nothing special.
- 37:12I can tell you that I have been through hell and back in many things.
- 37:16But what I've learned is that the biggest challenges of my life, the worst circumstances that I've left with, have always been the biggest blessings that allow me to propel me to the person I am today.
- 37:28Mm-hmm.
- 37:29rather than to victimize it and keep me the same as I was yesterday.
- 37:34So embrace them, be grateful for them, and most importantly, recognize that that attitude that you choose, you know, people say they have empty glass or they have glass, full glass, it's a state of mind.
- 37:50To me, circumstances, challenges,
- 37:55are the biggest blessings that you have right now.
- 37:57So embrace them.
- 37:58But if you wake up every day not wanting them, you're going to be disappointed because life is full of challenges to help you become the person you were destined to be.
- 38:07So do not get comfortable and complacent in where you are today.
- 38:12because the world needs you today more than ever.
- 38:15So get it out of you.
- 38:16Surround yourself with the people that are always telling you, you should do this, you should do that.
- 38:20Come on.
- 38:21Those are the ones that are actually your best friends instead of the ones that are keeping you where you are today.
- 38:27Beautifully said, Dr. Fab.
- 38:28Catch your plane.
- 38:30Thank you for your time.
- 38:30You've been a blessing on the show and a blessing to our listeners.
- 38:34Honor and privilege as always.
- 38:36And thanks again for being on the show.
- 38:38Thank you.
