- 0:01Speaker 1: After almost two weeks of daily strikes against Iran, the
- 0:05Speaker 1: past two nights have been remarkably quiet. This is President
- 0:08Speaker 1: Trump warned earlier this week the US is locked and
- 0:10Speaker 1: loaded if tensions reach a tipping point. Fox News Chief
- 0:14Speaker 1: Foreign correspondent Trey Yanst is live in Tel Aviv with
- 0:17Speaker 1: the latest.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Trey, Yeah, Hey, Peter, good morning. For now, the United
- 0:21Speaker 2: States has halted strikes against Iran as tension remains high
- 0:25Speaker 2: across the Middle East. White House officials have indicated that
- 0:29Speaker 2: many options remain on the table, including a military option
- 0:33Speaker 2: for President Trump as he explores solutions involving force and diplomacy.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Every once in a while, they're going to set some
- 0:41Speaker 3: things up, but they don't have much left. And by
- 0:43Speaker 3: the way they are talking to us right now, they'd
- 0:45Speaker 3: love to make a deal. I don't think they're ready to.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I don't think it's time yet, but I'm willing to listen.
- 0:51Speaker 3: But they cannot have a nuclear weapon.
- 0:54Speaker 2: White House Communications Director Stephen Chung told Fox News Digital
- 0:57Speaker 2: that President Trump has always been consistent and in saying
- 1:00Speaker 2: he prefers a diplomatic solution, but he continues to retain
- 1:04Speaker 2: all options if Iran continues terrorist activities in the Strait
- 1:07Speaker 2: of Hormuz or against allies. The US naval blockade remains
- 1:11Speaker 2: in effect as the economic pressure is being felt inside
- 1:14Speaker 2: of Iran.
- 1:18Speaker 4: The economic situation is much worse than previous years. If
- 1:21Speaker 4: we take inflation into account, it may have nearly doubled.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Incomes have fallen, and the value of our currency has declined.
- 1:29Speaker 4: All of this has an impact and life has become
- 1:31Speaker 4: a bit more difficult.
- 1:33Speaker 2: As US and Iranian officials say, diplomatic efforts are ongoing
- 1:37Speaker 2: to reach a deal that could end the current escalation.
- 1:39Speaker 2: The Iran backed Hoothis in Yemen are once again in
- 1:42Speaker 2: direct conflict with Saudi Arabia after attacking two Saudi owned
- 1:46Speaker 2: oil tankers last week. The Saudis responded with heavy air
- 1:49Speaker 2: strikes against the Yemen based proxy group. The Houthis then
- 1:52Speaker 2: ramped up attacks on Saudi oil refineries, launching new missiles
- 1:56Speaker 2: over the weekend. Days ago, President Trump issued a warning
- 1:58Speaker 2: to the Houthies, saying that if these attacks on vessels
- 2:01Speaker 2: in the Red Sea continue, that both the Hootis and
- 2:04Speaker 2: Aron would pay a military price. There are a lot
- 2:06Speaker 2: of moving parts right now in the region, but an
- 2:09Speaker 2: ongoing US military build up continues to give President Trump
- 2:12Speaker 2: a variety of options moving forward.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Peter Trey, Yanks, thank you. Let's now bring in former
- 2:20Speaker 1: Centcom Deputy commander and retired at US Navy seal Vice
- 2:24Speaker 1: Admiral Robert Harwood, Admiral. President Trump is thinking of a
- 2:29Speaker 1: bigger than ever attack on Iran at the moment. The
- 2:33Speaker 1: New York Times says he has decided not to do that.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Mike Waltz just said that he hasn't made a decision.
- 2:39Speaker 1: But if he decides to go with this bigger than
- 2:41Speaker 1: ever attack, do we have a bomb big enough to
- 2:44Speaker 1: get these guys interested in peace talks again?
- 2:49Speaker 5: Well, any singular bomb isn't the answer to the overall
- 2:54Speaker 5: efforts and capabilities have And I think the real options
- 2:57Speaker 5: they may be preparing now for his boots on the
- 3:00Speaker 5: ad to really show the Iranian people that we're moving
- 3:03Speaker 5: to the end of this government in Iran. I think
- 3:06Speaker 5: that's what he's come to the realization they tried to
- 3:10Speaker 5: MoU gave them the opportunity, they responded with aggression, going
- 3:15Speaker 5: after the straight So I think the President's preparing to
- 3:18Speaker 5: go the full way on this, and that's why part
- 3:20Speaker 5: of this break in the effort, position forces and be
- 3:24Speaker 5: prepared to go to the net step of escalation.
- 3:27Speaker 1: And if he does decide to put boots on the ground,
- 3:30Speaker 1: like you're saying, there's a real danger because Iran is
- 3:34Speaker 1: now getting help from apparently from some superpowers. Even though
- 3:38Speaker 1: the US has really rocked the Iranian military, they're still
- 3:42Speaker 1: shooting missiles and drones and killing Americans. The War Secretary
- 3:46Speaker 1: suggested that China and Russia might have their hand in this.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Listen to this, and you said today that Russia and
- 3:55Speaker 1: China are not helping. Earlier this week, it takes that
- 4:00Speaker 1: said that they are enabling.
- 4:03Speaker 2: So what is the difference.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Well, I don't know that they're enabling.
- 4:07Speaker 3: I mean, I will tell you the president she said
- 4:09Speaker 3: he will not partake. And President Putin said the same thing.
- 4:13Speaker 3: I think you know, I trust them.
- 4:18Speaker 1: If China and Russia aren't helping Iran, who is.
- 4:22Speaker 5: No, there's no doubt that Russia and China are involved.
- 4:25Speaker 5: This is in their strategic efforts. China standing oil from
- 4:30Speaker 5: Iran at a very discounted price. It continues to undermine
- 4:35Speaker 5: the West. So this alliance between and every president has
- 4:39Speaker 5: realized this and said this between China, Russia Iran and
- 4:43Speaker 5: North Korea is irrefutable, and the other three aren't nuclear
- 4:49Speaker 5: armed states, So of course their assisting and providing enablers.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Is it with material, is it with intelligence? Anything they
- 4:57Speaker 5: can get away with, because it's obviously we've been in
- 5:01Speaker 5: conflict with all of them for decades and none of
- 5:04Speaker 5: them want to confront us militarily, but they've all conied
- 5:08Speaker 5: US asymmetrically. They've been cyber attacks, they've threatened our people
- 5:14Speaker 5: in our countries, especially the Iranians. So yeah, so I
- 5:17Speaker 5: think it's pretty obvious they mutually support each other's interests.
- 5:22Speaker 1: And this conflict, when it was still epic fury began
- 5:27Speaker 1: with day one, the US took out the supreme leader,
- 5:30Speaker 1: the Ayatola. The Secret Service is now really worried about
- 5:33Speaker 1: the Iranians trying to kill President Trump. The New York
- 5:36Speaker 1: Times has this piece that President Trump abruptly switched aircraft
- 5:39Speaker 1: when leaving Turkey this month after what officials judged to
- 5:42Speaker 1: be a credible threat that Iranian proxy forces were targeting
- 5:46Speaker 1: him and Air Force one. Does Iran have the ability
- 5:50Speaker 1: or their proxies have the ability to shoot down Air
- 5:52Speaker 1: Force one?
- 5:54Speaker 5: Well, that's the great uncertainty but the fact is they've
- 5:57Speaker 5: been saying this for a year. It's clearly their intent.
- 6:01Speaker 5: They may not have the capability, and maybe they do,
- 6:04Speaker 5: but the fact that they've been saying this for years
- 6:07Speaker 5: and for years we've had to provide protection to our
- 6:11Speaker 5: leadership in the US because of surgates and agents of
- 6:15Speaker 5: Iran is completely unacceptable, indicative why we have to move
- 6:20Speaker 5: to a government in Iran which no longer supports these policies.
- 6:26Speaker 5: So it's being their surgates targeting our leadership in the
- 6:30Speaker 5: US and other places, going after Air Force one, if
- 6:33Speaker 5: they had a stinger or some sort of element of
- 6:37Speaker 5: power that they were provided by either the Russians or
- 6:40Speaker 5: the Chinese. All of these things are just a confirmation
- 6:44Speaker 5: of what Iran has been doing for decades and why
- 6:47Speaker 5: the President now has this unique opportunity to go after
- 6:52Speaker 5: and establish a government in Iran that will mean peace
- 6:57Speaker 5: and stability in the region for decades to come. And again,
- 7:00Speaker 5: these are all indicators of why we have this opportunity
- 7:04Speaker 5: have now and we cannot lose it.
- 7:08Speaker 1: And to your point about President Trump possibly putting boots
- 7:11Speaker 1: on the ground there, he says that he's not thinking
- 7:13Speaker 1: about the midterm elections. He just wants to do what's right,
- 7:15Speaker 1: so it could be a total zag like that. We'll see,
- 7:20Speaker 1: Admiral Harward, thank you very much for being here.
- 7:23Speaker 5: Good to be with you, Peter.
