- 0:04Speaker 1: NFL Game day View is a production of the NFL
- 0:06Speaker 1: in partnership with iHeartRadio.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Everybody, Welcome to NFL Game day View, percented by Season Sportsbook,
- 0:16Speaker 2: Patrick Playbomb Back here with Greg Rosenthal and Cynthia Freeland.
- 0:19Speaker 3: We have made it to the postseason. We're finally here. Gus.
- 0:22Speaker 4: Divisional Round weekend no longer the best weekend in football.
- 0:26Speaker 5: Actually this weekend, I agree, because you still have the
- 0:29Speaker 5: Divisional Round to look forward to. It's kind of like,
- 0:31Speaker 5: you know, you still have your dessert that's there for you.
- 0:33Speaker 5: And also, Greg and I are wearing opposite outfits. I
- 0:35Speaker 5: just realized this. I'm black on top, green on bottom.
- 0:38Speaker 5: You're a green on top black.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Anytime I can coordinate with you, we're just turning into
- 0:42Speaker 4: each other.
- 0:42Speaker 3: We're all kinds of coordinator.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Speaking of coordination, one thing about a broken clock two
- 0:47Speaker 2: times a day is going to be right fourteen times
- 0:48Speaker 2: a week. We're just over seven hundred and thirty times
- 0:51Speaker 2: over the course of the average year. It's also right
- 0:53Speaker 2: and a lot like that metaphorical clock.
- 0:55Speaker 4: I'm very broken person house stoff.
- 0:57Speaker 3: But also occasionally right.
- 0:59Speaker 2: As we look at our standings and we have finished
- 1:02Speaker 2: the regular season, and I have a crown atop of
- 1:05Speaker 2: the head.
- 1:08Speaker 3: At one seventy five and ninety six.
- 1:09Speaker 2: For the first time in my illustrious, very proud opportunity
- 1:13Speaker 2: to be on this program, I have won the picks.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Greg sent your holding weapon.
- 1:18Speaker 4: I don't know how to use this thing.
- 1:19Speaker 3: No you twist at the base.
- 1:23Speaker 5: No no, no, no, no no no no, no, no, sir, sir.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Oh, this was actually broken. That's what it's getting warm.
- 1:34Speaker 4: I'm gonna slight grats Patrick. The playoffs are anti climax.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Now this is the real champion. Good job.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Well, you know it's uh, it's all because I get
- 1:44Speaker 2: to be in proximity with you guys, and we get
- 1:46Speaker 2: to have fun on this incredible program.
- 1:48Speaker 3: And we all get to zero it out. I'm abdicating.
- 1:51Speaker 3: I've always wanted a crowd.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Oh no, a crown, for a chance to say no,
- 1:55Speaker 2: the monarchy is abolished. Let's take a look at the
- 1:57Speaker 2: game schedule for this weekend. It all starts with the
- 2:00Speaker 2: Panthers playing host of the Los Angeles Rams, great rivalry
- 2:03Speaker 2: Bear and Packers on Saturday. All wraps up on Monday
- 2:08Speaker 2: with the Houston Texans traveling to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 2:11Speaker 2: The Rams and Panthers played back in week thirteen. Carolina
- 2:14Speaker 2: got one of the biggest upsets of the year.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Stafford shotgun snap, poor Man rush.
- 2:20Speaker 2: They're creating pressure every strip the ball by Carolina dj Watam,
- 2:26Speaker 2: which covers the football, takes it to midfield for Young.
- 2:30Speaker 2: There's a strike over the fiddle to Jalen Coker first out.
- 2:34Speaker 6: The Rams cannot stop the clock anymore with these overcast guys. Uh,
- 2:39Speaker 6: there is a silver tear hanging on the horizon and
- 2:44Speaker 6: some sunlight somewhere because the Panthers are sending a shockwave
- 2:48Speaker 6: through the NFL.
- 2:51Speaker 2: No one saw that Panthers upside of the Rams coming
- 2:53Speaker 2: back in week thirteen. Now we got a high stakes rematch.
- 2:56Speaker 2: It's Greg versus the party popper. No, it is Rams
- 2:59Speaker 2: against the Panthers in Charlotte. Los Angeles expected to have
- 3:02Speaker 2: DeVante Adams back for this one. So how does it
- 3:04Speaker 2: go in round two?
- 3:05Speaker 5: Cynthia, I actually usually have a conservative model. This one
- 3:09Speaker 5: picked an eleven point win, twenty eight to seventeen. You know,
- 3:12Speaker 5: obviously we saw some things in that first matchup that
- 3:15Speaker 5: included Matthew Stafford turning the ball over three times and
- 3:17Speaker 5: some really aggressive play calling by the Panthers. But DeVante
- 3:21Speaker 5: Adams being back after three weeks off is really a
- 3:24Speaker 5: huge difference maker, especially in the red area. His presence,
- 3:28Speaker 5: it's so important for the run game, even for all
- 3:31Speaker 5: of the other aspects.
- 3:33Speaker 7: For the different looks.
- 3:33Speaker 5: We always say Sean Avay likes to use the same
- 3:36Speaker 5: pre snap picture and then after the snap everything looks
- 3:39Speaker 5: a little different. It just looks the same, and we
- 3:41Speaker 5: trick people. But in this case, now you can use
- 3:44Speaker 5: anything other than thirteen, so you can use eleven personnel again,
- 3:47Speaker 5: So now you have mess up the picture and mess
- 3:50Speaker 5: up what happens post snap. A lot of different variables here,
- 3:52Speaker 5: but Davonta Adams is a huge factor.
- 3:55Speaker 4: My model, which doesn't exist, is not as conservative. I
- 3:59Speaker 4: like blots. I think this will be a blow. Rams
- 4:02Speaker 4: win thirty seven to twenty usually at Cynthia doing the math.
- 4:06Speaker 4: But here's seventeen games YEP times thirty two teams, actually
- 4:11Speaker 4: two hundred and seventy two games total, forty four offensive
- 4:16Speaker 4: performances in the entire season. Number one of those five
- 4:20Speaker 4: hundred and forty four. In terms of success rate on
- 4:22Speaker 4: the ground, the Rams versus the Panthers in the first matchup.
- 4:25Speaker 4: And I know they didn't win the game, but there
- 4:27Speaker 4: were three turnovers in that game, and when you watch
- 4:29Speaker 4: the push forget about the numbers, it almost felt cruel
- 4:34Speaker 4: how far down the line of scrimmage that Blake Korum
- 4:38Speaker 4: and Kyra and Williams were meeting the first defender. The
- 4:40Speaker 4: offensive line for the Rams just dominated this matchup the
- 4:43Speaker 4: first time. And then when you're pass protecting, Matthew Stafford
- 4:46Speaker 4: isn't getting bothered either. So it's a complimentary offense, except
- 4:50Speaker 4: the run is setting up the pass for Matthew Stafford,
- 4:53Speaker 4: and when he doesn't get pressured, he is the most
- 4:55Speaker 4: efficient quarterback in the league. I do not think it's
- 4:58Speaker 4: going to be close.
- 4:59Speaker 3: It is unanimous.
- 4:59Speaker 2: I also have a Rams win here twenty six to
- 5:02Speaker 2: twenty two. Let's go back over some of what it
- 5:05Speaker 2: took the Los Angeles Rams to lose in Bank of
- 5:07Speaker 2: America Stadium that day. This is a red zone Tipps
- 5:10Speaker 2: interception off of a helmet. Then Stafford gets strip sacked
- 5:14Speaker 2: as well. There's big return on that play, and then
- 5:18Speaker 2: you know you had a Mike Jackson interception that comes.
- 5:22Speaker 3: All the way back. Stafford gets pressured sometimes.
- 5:25Speaker 2: But not necessarily all the time, just a whole bunch
- 5:27Speaker 2: of weird stuff that had to happen. I like this
- 5:30Speaker 2: Panthers team. I believe in them. I think Matthew Stafford
- 5:34Speaker 2: is not going to have a game like that Rams
- 5:35Speaker 2: run game will be as good. As Greg mentioned the
- 5:37Speaker 2: second time around, mem us away Panthers fans, I'd be fine.
- 5:43Speaker 2: A little more respect, that's you know, Dave Canalis noting
- 5:48Speaker 2: that folks might not necessarily believe.
- 5:50Speaker 3: I mean, let's get some math. Ry Song had three.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Touchdowns in the first matchup at the Rams, as you
- 5:54Speaker 2: go over under one and a half.
- 5:56Speaker 5: This time around, say I do have him with two touchdowns?
- 5:59Speaker 5: Why because I think the aggressive play calling. When I
- 6:02Speaker 5: talk about aggressive play calling, I mean what they did
- 6:04Speaker 5: on fourth down. He threw two of those touchdown passes
- 6:06Speaker 5: last time on fourth down, so it was EPA. So
- 6:09Speaker 5: his expected points added on fourth down was like the
- 6:12Speaker 5: third highest in a game this season or maybe in
- 6:14Speaker 5: the next gen stats era, something crazy like that.
- 6:17Speaker 7: Point being in order.
- 6:18Speaker 5: To beat this Rams team that outmatches them in terms
- 6:21Speaker 5: of talent, they're going to have to be aggressive. So
- 6:23Speaker 5: throwing more touchdowns in a game script that I forecast
- 6:26Speaker 5: to be more passing heavy means more likelihood of a
- 6:29Speaker 5: passing touchdown.
- 6:29Speaker 2: There's one hundred percent likelihood of enjoying football this week.
- 6:32Speaker 2: This is one of our favorite weeks of the entire year.
- 6:34Speaker 2: We'll move from an early Saturday wildcard game to the
- 6:36Speaker 2: late one, which features one of the oldest rivalries in
- 6:39Speaker 2: our league, yefl's oldest rivalry. Those two cities don't like
- 6:46Speaker 2: each other, he said, Vince, I just want you to
- 6:50Speaker 2: know you better have your team ready because we're going
- 6:53Speaker 2: to kick your ass.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Winning isn't everything, but it's the only thing in the
- 6:57Speaker 3: approach to lad We're gonna be I like that.
- 7:01Speaker 8: Down at it again, hand off the urry quick, very
- 7:10Speaker 8: clock our pao over the middle of the end zone.
- 7:14Speaker 8: You could have a complete losing season, but if you
- 7:16Speaker 8: made the Bears Matt Wayzier season.
- 7:18Speaker 4: We're gonna separate the men from the boys.
- 7:20Speaker 5: Who're gonna find out who really wants to play this
- 7:23Speaker 5: game and who does not.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Some historical notes on the oldest rivalry in the NFL.
- 7:30Speaker 2: This is two hundred and thirteenth time that they've gone
- 7:33Speaker 2: head to head to two teams one in one against
- 7:36Speaker 2: each other in the postseason. It doesn't happen that much.
- 7:38Speaker 2: That's two out of two hundred and thirteen times. The
- 7:42Speaker 2: last postseason meeting was the twenty ten NFC Championship, and
- 7:45Speaker 2: who can forget the team's most recent matchup and epic overtime.
- 7:49Speaker 9: Throw snap catub play pink, look at a throw going
- 7:54Speaker 9: deep searching for Dj more over the shoulder, catch me
- 7:59Speaker 9: touchdowns hits over at Soldier Field, Smith, come it Leon Smith,
- 8:06Speaker 9: take it hop forty six yard spiral to the end
- 8:10Speaker 9: zone to DJ Moore.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Twenty two to sixteen.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Bears Packers Bears meeting up for the third time in
- 8:18Speaker 2: six weeks.
- 8:19Speaker 3: The pack will get Jordan Love back for this game.
- 8:22Speaker 3: They can also get.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Roma Dunze on the other side of the field coming
- 8:26Speaker 2: back for the Bears in this one.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Glad to see them both back. What happens in the
- 8:29Speaker 3: football games a year.
- 8:30Speaker 5: I think the Packers win this one on the road.
- 8:32Speaker 5: The rubber match twenty five to twenty three is my
- 8:34Speaker 5: final score. I want to talk about Jordan Love because
- 8:37Speaker 5: Malik Willis played really well in that last matchup. In fact,
- 8:40Speaker 5: it took an on side kick. Like some of the
- 8:42Speaker 5: things that are missing there, some low probability events. But
- 8:45Speaker 5: when I'm looking at Jordan Love and what he's been
- 8:47Speaker 5: able to do, and by the way, his playoff experience,
- 8:50Speaker 5: his playoff experience as a seven seed, which means going
- 8:52Speaker 5: on the road, all of these things matter a ton.
- 8:55Speaker 5: I give I tip the scales and give a little
- 8:58Speaker 5: bit more of the advantage to Jordan Love with like
- 9:01Speaker 5: a lot of his metrics rank him no lower than
- 9:03Speaker 5: top five in the league, and all of the things
- 9:06Speaker 5: that matter. So when you're looking at what kind of
- 9:08Speaker 5: quarterback he is, even against this defense that throws, that
- 9:11Speaker 5: causes lots of interceptions and has the most interceptions and
- 9:14Speaker 5: takeaways in the league, it's okay because Jordan Love has
- 9:17Speaker 5: the ability to out maneuver it. So I just think
- 9:20Speaker 5: between the experience and having Jordan Love being back for
- 9:23Speaker 5: this one, it tips the scales in favor of the Packers.
- 9:26Speaker 3: I'm with you, Cynthia.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I'm taking one point off and going with a twenty
- 9:29Speaker 2: four to twenty three win for the Green Bay Packers because, yes,
- 9:32Speaker 2: Ben Johnson as well as this union with Caleb Williams.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Has worked out, It's worked out great Mount Lafleur and
- 9:37Speaker 3: Jordan Love has been at this for quite a while.
- 9:39Speaker 2: I think they can be aggressive against a defense that
- 9:41Speaker 2: aggressive that needs to make turnovers in the postseason, much
- 9:45Speaker 2: like it reminds me of the dan Quinn matchup against
- 9:48Speaker 2: those Dallas Cowboys that had all those interceptions the turnovers,
- 9:51Speaker 2: and the Packers came in ran them out of their
- 9:53Speaker 2: own stadium. I think this game is closer, but a
- 9:55Speaker 2: big part of why I think the Packers will win
- 9:57Speaker 2: is Christian Watson and Jordan Love.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Since he came back from that foreign.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Acl, he led the entire league with two ninety four
- 10:05Speaker 2: deep receiving yards and time for the most touchdowns.
- 10:08Speaker 3: I think he gets a deep shot and a score
- 10:09Speaker 3: of this one, right.
- 10:11Speaker 4: I feel bad We've been doubting the Bears quite a
- 10:14Speaker 4: bit this season. Show I'm not. I'm picking the Packers,
- 10:17Speaker 4: which you mean you can meme us away Bears fans
- 10:20Speaker 4: probably the most likely fans in the league to meme
- 10:23Speaker 4: us and come on, Bears fans, but just listen to
- 10:27Speaker 4: my analysis. I think Caleb Williams shows up in this game.
- 10:31Speaker 4: But one thing I want everyone to watch is how
- 10:34Speaker 4: much the Packers blitzed in the first two meetings. They
- 10:37Speaker 4: blitzed more against Caleb Williams than they really did almost
- 10:41Speaker 4: the rest of the season, and certainly more than Caleb
- 10:43Speaker 4: Williams was blitzed all season. So it's making him make
- 10:47Speaker 4: really quick, smart decisions. It's make making Ben Johnson have
- 10:51Speaker 4: answers for him. I think Roma Dunsee being back is
- 10:54Speaker 4: big because now you have Luther Burden Colston Love. Look
- 10:57Speaker 4: at my score. That is way over the number of
- 11:00Speaker 4: forty five, which is the over under. I feel strong.
- 11:03Speaker 4: It's thirty to twenty seven there, and yeah, you know
- 11:05Speaker 4: you gotta be wear those fake glasses that you now
- 11:08Speaker 4: times wear on the show. I feel way better about
- 11:11Speaker 4: this going over the number and it being a great
- 11:14Speaker 4: showcase of terrific quarterback play and offenses. Then I really
- 11:17Speaker 4: go over who wins this game. I was just flipping
- 11:20Speaker 4: a coin. You guys, well I have a.
- 11:22Speaker 7: One point went so for that you have the biggest margin.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Well it's one, two three. I just didn't know. I'm
- 11:27Speaker 4: just saying points.
- 11:28Speaker 3: That's what I really Cynthia, and I believe in you
- 11:29Speaker 3: more than Greg does. Bears fans, Let's.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Take a look at some notable player props according to
- 11:34Speaker 2: our friends at Caesar Sportsbook. Jordan Love going two hundred
- 11:37Speaker 2: and twenty one and a half passing yards, Josh Jacobs seventy
- 11:39Speaker 2: five and a half rushing yards ask for Bears, Caleb
- 11:42Speaker 2: two hundred and forty and a half totally yards, forty
- 11:44Speaker 2: six and a half receiving yard for the star rookie
- 11:47Speaker 2: tight in Colston Loveland, and DeAndre Swift getting thirteen and
- 11:50Speaker 2: a half carries. It's time for us to play this
- 11:53Speaker 2: guy or that guy here on game debut and put
- 11:56Speaker 2: some head to hand matchup, starting with Caleb Williams versus
- 11:58Speaker 2: Jordan Love, who goes for over two hundred and forty
- 12:01Speaker 2: total yards.
- 12:02Speaker 4: Oh yeah, right after I just talked up Caleb, Well,
- 12:04Speaker 4: it's Jordan Love. Look, Jordan Love is at a point
- 12:07Speaker 4: in his career where I think he is going to
- 12:10Speaker 4: light up almost any opposing defense that you throw at
- 12:14Speaker 4: him unless they can get quick pressure or any pressure.
- 12:17Speaker 4: And that's just not the Chicago Bears. They're one of
- 12:19Speaker 4: the higher blitz rates team of the league in the
- 12:22Speaker 4: league over the last month or two, and yet they
- 12:24Speaker 4: really don't create much pressure. It's a good defense that
- 12:27Speaker 4: might create a turnover or too, but this is about yards,
- 12:30Speaker 4: and I kind of like Jordan Love getting over three
- 12:32Speaker 4: hundred in this game. If you can find a number
- 12:34Speaker 4: out there like that.
- 12:35Speaker 2: All right, let's go for sixty five or more rushing yards.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Josh Jacobs with Deandres Swift.
- 12:40Speaker 5: Josh Jacobs is my answer for this one, because DeAndre
- 12:43Speaker 5: Swift faces a team that has the highest, the lowest
- 12:46Speaker 5: misstack rate, the highest amount of times that they're accurate
- 12:49Speaker 5: with their tackles, and the Packers do not let you
- 12:51Speaker 5: get explosive runs. On the other side, the two things
- 12:54Speaker 5: are exactly opposite. The Bears are going to let you
- 12:57Speaker 5: get explosive runs and they're also not going to tackle.
- 13:00Speaker 5: They could miss a tackle there. That misstack rate is
- 13:03Speaker 5: much higher. So, which is my only hesitation here in
- 13:06Speaker 5: my voice. What you're hearing is sometimes the lying liar
- 13:08Speaker 5: who lies syndrome has now gone over to the Green
- 13:11Speaker 5: Bay Packers with how healthy Josh Jacobs is because he's
- 13:13Speaker 5: been playing these games, but.
- 13:15Speaker 7: He hasn't really been playing, if you know what I mean.
- 13:17Speaker 5: So I assume he's healthy for this one though, because
- 13:19Speaker 5: it's the playoffs and they need to.
- 13:20Speaker 3: It feels like commentary on the tree.
- 13:22Speaker 5: Perhaps the Shanahan Tree are the lying liar who lies
- 13:24Speaker 5: with they all know.
- 13:25Speaker 7: I've told them to their faces. It's fine.
- 13:27Speaker 5: It just means that they're we don't know if we're
- 13:29Speaker 5: gonna be here Sunday.
- 13:29Speaker 3: We get it.
- 13:30Speaker 2: The tree is watered with lies. Last one more likely
- 13:33Speaker 2: to have four or more receptions. Romerdons or Luthor Burden.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I like both, but I'm going with Burdon here because
- 13:39Speaker 2: I like the dynamic of Caleb checking the screens in
- 13:42Speaker 2: some of those blitzes. I know that the Halfley defense
- 13:44Speaker 2: was coming after Caleb Williams, and so you get a
- 13:47Speaker 2: couple of more catches there. The numbers and the odds
- 13:50Speaker 2: may favor one guy a little bit more so, maybe
- 13:52Speaker 2: the numbers a little bit.
- 13:53Speaker 9: Better for Luther burd Do you see Josh Allen is
- 13:56Speaker 9: an alien.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Some of the stuff that he can do and the
- 13:59Speaker 3: things that he can.
- 13:59Speaker 9: Create starts with Josh Allen.
- 14:01Speaker 3: He is a big play wake to happen. This is
- 14:04Speaker 3: something different.
- 14:05Speaker 2: This is an alien that we didn't know anything about.
- 14:10Speaker 3: My dad. He's an alien. Specimen man.
- 14:17Speaker 4: Spectacular touchdown. Are you kidding?
- 14:24Speaker 8: Name Rachid for the pimelon the alien.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Josh Allen. He's an alien. They do shreak type things.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I'll get it to have the disclaimer for Josh Allen
- 14:36Speaker 2: actually human time forst sees the season presented by Caesars Sportsbook.
- 14:40Speaker 2: As we look at the first touchdown score odds according
- 14:42Speaker 2: to our friends at Caesars, and Travis Etn takes the lead.
- 14:46Speaker 3: There, ahead of James Cook and then Josh.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Allen at plus six seventy five, Trevor Lawrence and Jacobi
- 14:51Speaker 2: Myers rounding out this scrap. Let's break down this matchup
- 14:55Speaker 2: featuring yes, twenty two humans on the field at one time,
- 14:58Speaker 2: including Josh Allen and the Bills going to duvall to
- 15:01Speaker 2: take on the AFC South champions Jacksonville's They've won eight
- 15:05Speaker 2: straight games?
- 15:05Speaker 3: Do they make it nine straight?
- 15:07Speaker 4: Break they do? This was the toughest game for me
- 15:09Speaker 4: to pick all week, but I ended up settling on
- 15:12Speaker 4: The Jaguars are the most complete team in the AFC,
- 15:16Speaker 4: partly because of their running game. When they can get
- 15:18Speaker 4: their running game going, they are unstoppable. And this Bill's
- 15:22Speaker 4: rush defense not great, not gonna be great at stopping
- 15:25Speaker 4: the guy you see on the field right here, Travis Etn.
- 15:28Speaker 4: You know why he led the odds for first touchdown score.
- 15:31Speaker 4: That's what he does. It could be on the ground
- 15:33Speaker 4: or it could be through the air. He actually led
- 15:35Speaker 4: the Jaguars in receiving touchdowns this year. I just love
- 15:39Speaker 4: a player that steadily improves at his craft. He was
- 15:42Speaker 4: one yard away from fourteen hundred yards from scrimmage this season.
- 15:45Speaker 4: That would have been the third time in his career.
- 15:47Speaker 4: And yet I just think he's a tougher inside runner.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Liam Cohen is great at designing the run game, and
- 15:54Speaker 4: they're a boomer bust run game, really, and I just
- 15:56Speaker 4: feel like this is gonna be one of those boom
- 15:59Speaker 4: type of games because it's a slow Bills defense, and
- 16:02Speaker 4: I think the speed of Travis Etn could be a problem.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Yeah, the defense.
- 16:05Speaker 2: In terms of looking at the balance of the Buffalo Bills,
- 16:08Speaker 2: it becomes tough to make the choice here.
- 16:11Speaker 3: I've got the Jacksonville Jaguars as well.
- 16:12Speaker 2: It's odd that they're a home dog because I think
- 16:15Speaker 2: there may be, you know, some folks doing some helmet scouting.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Which is weird in a league where most teams are
- 16:20Speaker 3: playing everybody.
- 16:21Speaker 2: And I know that Jacksonville has a star quarterback who
- 16:25Speaker 2: played great down the stretch. He's got a grill, They've
- 16:27Speaker 2: got a new head coach who's lighting the world on fire.
- 16:30Speaker 2: But can we talk about a guy who was there
- 16:31Speaker 2: in the Doug Maroon era, in the Urban Meyer mistake era,
- 16:35Speaker 2: through Doug Peterson, there's been one constant, and it's been
- 16:38Speaker 2: Josh Hans Allen. Didn't even go by that name the
- 16:40Speaker 2: whole time, and who by Josh Allen? Back when he
- 16:42Speaker 2: sacked Josh Allen five consecutive excuse me five times in
- 16:46Speaker 2: one game? You have the second most pass rush reps. Yeah,
- 16:49Speaker 2: he had a lot of pass rush reps. He had
- 16:51Speaker 2: the fourth most pressures. He had those reps because he's
- 16:54Speaker 2: on the field the Jags and need him at all
- 16:56Speaker 2: times to provide pressure against the pass.
- 16:58Speaker 3: When he does it, shout out to Josh Hans Allen.
- 16:59Speaker 3: I think it's JAG's gonna win.
- 17:01Speaker 8: Cynthia.
- 17:02Speaker 5: You guys are allowing me to be on my own
- 17:05Speaker 5: island with a favored Buffalo team.
- 17:07Speaker 7: Fine, prime number.
- 17:08Speaker 5: I will take it twenty seven to twenty five Buffalo.
- 17:12Speaker 7: That is what the model says.
- 17:13Speaker 5: I think they're not supposed to say alien anymore. Watch
- 17:16Speaker 5: this UFO documentary and now it's really bothering me.
- 17:18Speaker 7: They can't think of it. So he's an et.
- 17:20Speaker 5: I'm talking about Josh Allen's ability to do so many
- 17:24Speaker 5: different things.
- 17:25Speaker 7: Through the air, on the ground.
- 17:26Speaker 5: He has over three hundred career playoff yards per game,
- 17:31Speaker 5: which is bananas. I understand that you're looking at this
- 17:34Speaker 5: team and Jacksonville the recency bias of how well they've
- 17:38Speaker 5: been playing, and they absolutely have taking nothing away, but
- 17:42Speaker 5: Josh Allen's ability to.
- 17:43Speaker 7: Overcome all of this.
- 17:44Speaker 5: Just watch second halves of things and watch figure out
- 17:47Speaker 5: how this run game works.
- 17:48Speaker 7: You think that, look at you.
- 17:49Speaker 4: Correct, I mean recency bias. It's been two months. Let's
- 17:52Speaker 4: see if we can do that.
- 17:53Speaker 7: And now this, please do not put it out my
- 17:55Speaker 7: face dis busted.
- 17:56Speaker 4: I wanted to celebrate the prime number, but it's not happening.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Okay, here's how we're going to celebrate it. Put our
- 18:02Speaker 5: finger here and shake us not going to it is?
- 18:04Speaker 4: Ready? Shake it there it is. You're gonna be working
- 18:06Speaker 4: as well as you're woo.
- 18:09Speaker 3: All right, we did it, folks.
- 18:10Speaker 2: The Party Poppers second Party Popper is at the floor.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Seems the season Rock to You by Caesars Sportsbook. New
- 18:15Speaker 2: users can get their first bet match up to two
- 18:18Speaker 2: hundred and fifty dollars win or lose must be twenty
- 18:21Speaker 2: one or older cee Caesars dot Com slash promos for
- 18:24Speaker 2: full urn. Plenty of history between the Niners and the Eagles.
- 18:28Speaker 2: The last time they met up in the playoffs, with
- 18:30Speaker 2: the twenty twenty two NFC Championship game, Brock perty injured
- 18:33Speaker 2: the elbow on his throwing arm early in the game.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Josh Johnson came in for party but then got hurt,
- 18:39Speaker 2: so Brock went back on the game. He's practicing throwing
- 18:42Speaker 2: left handed on the sidelines, he could only really.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Hand off due to that elbow injury.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Philly went on to win thirty one to seven on
- 18:48Speaker 2: their way to Super Bowl fifty seven, where they lost
- 18:50Speaker 2: a nail binder to the Kansas City Sheets, and the
- 18:53Speaker 2: Niners and Birds meeting up Sunday at the Link. San
- 18:55Speaker 2: Francisco's high powered offense shut down last week by the Seahawks,
- 18:59Speaker 2: Philly chose to rest their guys to San Francisco knock
- 19:03Speaker 2: off the champs.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Here they do not, and I think that rest was
- 19:06Speaker 4: really important for a Philadelphia Eagles team that should be
- 19:09Speaker 4: getting Lane Johnson back this week and should also be
- 19:12Speaker 4: getting back one of the best players in the league
- 19:14Speaker 4: that's right, it's playoff Jalen Hurts. Playoff Jalen Hurts is
- 19:17Speaker 4: different than regular season Jalen Hurts. They let him run
- 19:20Speaker 4: the ball a little more, and in this year he
- 19:23Speaker 4: ran it less than any time in his career. He's
- 19:26Speaker 4: had some of his very best performances as a pro
- 19:30Speaker 4: in the playoffs, certainly in the Super Bowl, but sometimes
- 19:33Speaker 4: earlier too, and I think this is the perfect matchup
- 19:36Speaker 4: for him to get comfortable. It's one of the worst
- 19:38Speaker 4: pass rushes in the league. And you think about the
- 19:41Speaker 4: linebackers that are going to be on the field for
- 19:43Speaker 4: the forty nine Ers. They were on the street a
- 19:45Speaker 4: couple weeks ago. Eric Kendricks they just signed. They're probably
- 19:48Speaker 4: gonna have to play him because of injuries, and Kisier
- 19:50Speaker 4: White's another guy they just brought up off the street.
- 19:53Speaker 4: And I really do believe there is something to a
- 19:55Speaker 4: championship type of team like Philadelphia. They've been through a
- 19:59Speaker 4: lot this season, but you play a forty nine ers
- 20:02Speaker 4: defense that's vulnerable, and I think this is going to
- 20:04Speaker 4: make them feel a little more alive having a playoff
- 20:06Speaker 4: match up. Philadelphia scores a lot and they end up
- 20:09Speaker 4: winning comfortably.
- 20:10Speaker 5: I have Philadelphia winning, but I don't have it very
- 20:12Speaker 5: comfortably at all. Just twenty four to twenty three, a
- 20:15Speaker 5: one point win for the Birds at home, something dramatic.
- 20:18Speaker 7: Basically do their defense.
- 20:19Speaker 5: I want to talk about Dallas Goddard here because you
- 20:21Speaker 5: talk about playoff Jalen Hurts, and then you have to
- 20:23Speaker 5: remember that Kyle Shanahan has like this formula for defending
- 20:28Speaker 5: Jalen Hurts that really shuts him down.
- 20:29Speaker 7: If you look at all of Jalen Hurts results against
- 20:31Speaker 7: Kyle shannon had.
- 20:32Speaker 5: Led defenses, then you will see it actually looks pretty different.
- 20:36Speaker 7: He has this.
- 20:37Speaker 5: Really good way of defending. Now, the difference maker here
- 20:40Speaker 5: would be the middle.
- 20:41Speaker 7: Of the field.
- 20:41Speaker 5: Given those linebackers that you met Fred Warner still watching
- 20:44Speaker 5: from the stands possible if they make it later into
- 20:47Speaker 5: the playoffs that he could come back, but he's not
- 20:49Speaker 5: there now, meaning Dallas Goddard has an opportunity here to
- 20:52Speaker 5: really break open the middle of the field and really
- 20:55Speaker 5: help out his quarterback. Given the way that Kyle Shannan
- 20:57Speaker 5: has shown that the principles and strategies especially they use
- 21:00Speaker 5: that you know the for anyway, the way that they
- 21:02Speaker 5: play Cover four is really about the different principles, and
- 21:05Speaker 5: it's not good matchup wise against how Jalen Hurts likes
- 21:08Speaker 5: to play, but Dallascott it will be the difference maker there.
- 21:10Speaker 2: The capacity of the coaches to generate the matchups that
- 21:12Speaker 2: they want might help, also motivating them to try extra
- 21:15Speaker 2: hard because we have Unanauley.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Picked the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 21:19Speaker 2: I have it twenty three to twenty a three point
- 21:21Speaker 2: win at home by the Birds, because I'd like to
- 21:23Speaker 2: talk about that.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Defense and how great they are.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Remember Zach Bond down the stretch, but fuddling every single quarterback,
- 21:30Speaker 2: especially Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Well he's going to.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Be right there in a key spot where Rock Perdy
- 21:36Speaker 2: threw nine of his ten interceptions when targeting in breaking
- 21:40Speaker 2: routes this season.
- 21:41Speaker 3: That's the second most in.
- 21:42Speaker 2: The NFL, only trailing the league leader, sorry Greg in interceptions,
- 21:46Speaker 2: Eugene Cyril Smith. And so if you're gonna get Brock Purdy,
- 21:50Speaker 2: I think the Philadelphia Eagles have the players to do so.
- 21:54Speaker 2: The notable props according to our friends at Caesars, Brock
- 21:57Speaker 2: Perdy a two hundred and twenty eight and a half
- 21:58Speaker 2: passing yards, Jalen Hurts two hundred and fifty one and
- 22:01Speaker 2: a half totally yards, George Kittle.
- 22:03Speaker 3: At fifty nine and a half for saving yards, and.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Saquon at eighty one and a half rushing yards. I'd
- 22:08Speaker 2: be a solid performist for Saquon relative to the rest
- 22:11Speaker 2: of the season. Time four more or less. Lots of
- 22:13Speaker 2: superstars in this game. So let's get our poam fingers
- 22:16Speaker 2: and discuss some player props. Brock Perdy had just one
- 22:19Speaker 2: hundred and twenty seven passing yards against the Seahawks last week.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Is the number here too?
- 22:24Speaker 3: Twenty eight? How do you feel in relation to two
- 22:26Speaker 3: twenty eight?
- 22:26Speaker 5: I feel like more is coming. I wanted to say
- 22:29Speaker 5: something and work in something about Cooper to gen dating
- 22:32Speaker 5: someone for twenty years his senior, which I kind of love,
- 22:34Speaker 5: but I'm just gonna focus on Rock Curdy and instead
- 22:37Speaker 5: say that I think those intermediate passes that Kyle Shanahan
- 22:40Speaker 5: can scheme open and finding any sort of space to
- 22:43Speaker 5: work with, that's going to be the difference maker. And
- 22:45Speaker 5: maybe a little bit of Juwan Johnson talking trash because
- 22:47Speaker 5: somebody needs to tell me what he says.
- 22:48Speaker 3: For gonna say, let's go to the running game.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Saquon shining in the playoffs last season, averaging one hundred
- 22:55Speaker 2: and twenty seven yards per game on the ground in
- 22:58Speaker 2: his career. In the postseason, well, we have more or
- 23:00Speaker 2: less than eighty against the Nighbers.
- 23:02Speaker 4: I am gonna go more, say one Barkley finished off
- 23:05Speaker 4: the season, I think running with a little more explosion,
- 23:08Speaker 4: and he's gonna have his offensive line healthier again. I
- 23:10Speaker 4: think that rest was really important and the thing that
- 23:13Speaker 4: gets slept on with this forty nine Ers defense. Yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 4: it's not a great pass rush. They were actually dead
- 23:17Speaker 4: last in the NFL in terms of success rate allowed
- 23:19Speaker 4: against teams on the ground, and you saw that in
- 23:21Speaker 4: the biggest of matchups last week against Seattle. They just
- 23:24Speaker 4: could not get stopped. So I think Saquon Barkley, with
- 23:27Speaker 4: a week of rest, this is gonna be a heavy
- 23:30Speaker 4: run game for him, So volume wise, I like him
- 23:33Speaker 4: over eight.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah, this plays and justifies the decision to rest everybody
- 23:37Speaker 2: in that final game as well. Last one, Christian McCaffrey
- 23:40Speaker 2: more or less than one hundred and three scrimmage yards.
- 23:42Speaker 2: I'm gonna go more here because it's Kristian McCaffery, and
- 23:46Speaker 2: I think there's gonna be more possessions than they had
- 23:48Speaker 2: last week against the Seattle Seahawks. More possessions meaning more
- 23:51Speaker 2: opportunity for CMC seventy rushing excuse me receiving yards?
- 23:58Speaker 7: How you're gonna say seventy rushes?
- 23:59Speaker 4: I was like, Yang, I'm.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Gonna get seventy carriers. You thought he got a lot
- 24:03Speaker 3: of volume. Feer of the season.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Wait and see what Kyle's special plan is for kristinmccaffery.
- 24:08Speaker 3: That's more or less here on game debut.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Do anybody know what they mean when they'd be like great, great.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Night struggles, Now fucking made it in you'd fighting name?
- 24:23Speaker 3: What do you call Drake Drake Mayman.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Perfect throw by Drake Drake on the stall.
- 24:29Speaker 6: Patriots had once hen executive game.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Now fucking made it in fight Drake Drake may May
- 24:36Speaker 3: I just unbelievable performance. Are you kidding me? What hell
- 24:39Speaker 3: of the throw?
- 24:39Speaker 8: He was running around?
- 24:40Speaker 4: He was making plaid?
- 24:41Speaker 3: That's Drake may.
- 24:44Speaker 8: Stress.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Now I fucking made it in you fighting on my name.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Sunday Night, Drake may and the number two seeded Patriots
- 24:52Speaker 2: playing host to Justin Herbert and the Chargers. Greg, I
- 24:55Speaker 2: know it's like choosing between your your two favorite children.
- 24:58Speaker 2: We're not gonna have Greg have that discussion because that's preposterous. Uh,
- 25:01Speaker 2: but does does New England beat your your other home team?
- 25:05Speaker 4: I don't feel confident about and so what I'm gonna
- 25:07Speaker 4: do here is what we like to call threading the needle.
- 25:10Speaker 4: The Chargers keep it closer than three and a half points,
- 25:13Speaker 4: but the Patriots do win by a point because of
- 25:16Speaker 4: their running game. I feel more confident that this offense
- 25:18Speaker 4: isn't all about drink made because at the end of
- 25:20Speaker 4: the season, especially Treveon Henderson and Ramandre Stevenson were getting
- 25:25Speaker 4: it done. And I think that's how you beat Jesse
- 25:27Speaker 4: Minter's defense, which is gonna make you run the ball
- 25:29Speaker 4: against their kind of light defense where they have a
- 25:32Speaker 4: lot of defensive backs on the field, a lot of
- 25:34Speaker 4: explosive plays from Treyvon Henderson. You know, it's really Romandre
- 25:38Speaker 4: Stevenson to me, who is getting it done as a
- 25:40Speaker 4: runner and as a receiver. A lot of deep routes
- 25:43Speaker 4: for vermondre Stevenson. These are the number three and number
- 25:46Speaker 4: four running backs in the entire NFL and yards per
- 25:49Speaker 4: carry on inside run. So get just some running backs
- 25:52Speaker 4: who can do it all inside outside big plays, and
- 25:56Speaker 4: then Remandre is fantastic as a receiver. I love how
- 26:00Speaker 4: everyone wanted to bench them. Everyone wanted to get rid
- 26:02Speaker 4: of them early in the season because of the fumbles
- 26:04Speaker 4: and down the stretch. He actually led the NFL in
- 26:06Speaker 4: yards per carry in December and January.
- 26:09Speaker 3: So a slim margin.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Interesting turner Fray as to thread the needle where the
- 26:13Speaker 2: needle was designed for the thread like it's synonymous with
- 26:17Speaker 2: the difficult thing to do, but it's the only thing.
- 26:19Speaker 3: That you do. I will take a twenty six to
- 26:21Speaker 3: twenty win for the New England Patriots.
- 26:23Speaker 2: The most explosive offense in the NFL, and as Greg
- 26:26Speaker 2: pointed out.
- 26:27Speaker 3: They do it through the run game but also through
- 26:28Speaker 3: the air.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Sixty one percent of Drake May's downfield passes this season
- 26:33Speaker 2: he completed. It's the highest rate in the NFL, the
- 26:36Speaker 2: seventh highest mark in the entire Next Gen Stats era,
- 26:39Speaker 2: which goes all the way back to twenty sixteen. This
- 26:42Speaker 2: team constantly gets buckets everywhere on the field, and I
- 26:45Speaker 2: don't know that in the event the game devolves into
- 26:49Speaker 2: a scorefest, Cynthia, that the Chargers offense will be able
- 26:52Speaker 2: to keep up.
- 26:53Speaker 7: I'm with you.
- 26:54Speaker 5: I have twenty four to twenty so I'm not threading
- 26:56Speaker 5: anything here. You can mimess the way Chargers. We deserve it. Absolutely.
- 27:00Speaker 5: This is the one actually am second most confident on
- 27:03Speaker 5: other week in terms of who will win the game.
- 27:06Speaker 5: So I'm looking at the Patriots and remembering that they
- 27:08Speaker 5: get back both Milton Williams and of course.
- 27:11Speaker 4: They get back Will Campbell.
- 27:12Speaker 5: The trenches are so important here because what have we
- 27:15Speaker 5: seen from Justin.
- 27:15Speaker 7: Herbert nothing but being under pressure.
- 27:18Speaker 5: I mean, going back all the way to last year's
- 27:20Speaker 5: game against the Texans, I mean I think it was
- 27:22Speaker 5: pressured on eighteen of thirty six drop backs. Actually I
- 27:24Speaker 5: know that I don't think that is kind of being
- 27:26Speaker 5: cheeky there, but ultimately it's been a problem.
- 27:29Speaker 7: They haven't solved it.
- 27:30Speaker 5: And Milton Williams plays on the inside, so what does
- 27:32Speaker 5: that mean. Well, now they'll have to devote some of
- 27:34Speaker 5: the resources on the interior O line to stop him,
- 27:37Speaker 5: which leaves more of an island for the outside guys,
- 27:40Speaker 5: and the tackles have been a problem. I just don't
- 27:42Speaker 5: think that they have enough on both sides on the
- 27:44Speaker 5: trenches to be able to handle what this Patriots team
- 27:47Speaker 5: is going to be able to bring to them on
- 27:48Speaker 5: both sides. Again, this is my second most confident pick
- 27:50Speaker 5: wow ever.
- 27:51Speaker 3: All aboard the New England Patriots. Let's go do some math.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Get the calculators out, Cynthia will justin Herbert pass for
- 27:58Speaker 2: more or less than two hundred and twenty five yards
- 28:00Speaker 2: in this match.
- 28:01Speaker 7: That number is way too low.
- 28:02Speaker 5: I know that that you're looking at the Chargers defense
- 28:05Speaker 5: and you're saying, this is a really good pass defense,
- 28:07Speaker 5: and that is true, But then you also have to
- 28:09Speaker 5: look at all the different ways that Drake May has
- 28:11Speaker 5: found success kind of inexplicably. Right ahead of the season,
- 28:14Speaker 5: the biggest knock on this team was, well do they
- 28:16Speaker 5: really have an elite set of pass catchers. Turns out
- 28:19Speaker 5: Keishawan Boody can become a thing, right. He has the
- 28:22Speaker 5: what tied for the second most deep passing touchdowns in
- 28:24Speaker 5: the week with six. He's got twenty completions of over
- 28:28Speaker 5: twenty air yards Like that's These are the types of
- 28:30Speaker 5: things where it doesn't even really matter what's going on, and.
- 28:33Speaker 4: I think this can be a game where both quarterbacks
- 28:36Speaker 4: go off. Now, the only thing with Herbert's number here
- 28:39Speaker 4: is are they in a catch up type of situation.
- 28:42Speaker 4: The Patriots defense is healthier this week. Robert Splaine could
- 28:46Speaker 4: be coming back.
- 28:46Speaker 7: Yet, Robert Blaine's coming back.
- 28:48Speaker 4: I love her. I mentioned Milton Williams. Harold Landry at
- 28:51Speaker 4: defensive end has been out for a while, so they
- 28:52Speaker 4: are healthier right now than they've been in a while.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Rogers gets a snap, Lofting has been wide open.
- 29:01Speaker 8: Touchdown. Second, here's the snap, here's the hole, here's the
- 29:08Speaker 8: boot by Luke and that kick.
- 29:14Speaker 4: This Pittsburgh Steelers are North champions.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Baby Rogers and the Steelers grabbed the ac North crown
- 29:28Speaker 2: last week.
- 29:29Speaker 3: They're playing host to the Texans on Monday Night.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Houston's won nine straight, but for what it's worth, Pittsburgh
- 29:34Speaker 2: has won twenty three straight Monday.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Night football games.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Also, the per capita consumption of margarine correlates with the
- 29:41Speaker 2: marriage rate ray in Maine. So there's some other correlations.
- 29:44Speaker 2: We don't know if they're causal or not. Cynthia, what
- 29:47Speaker 2: happens in this football game?
- 29:48Speaker 7: Wait? When there's when? How does in what way you
- 29:51Speaker 7: have to tell us about the man?
- 29:52Speaker 3: Exactly?
- 29:53Speaker 2: Since twenty fourteen, the rate of margarine consumption has matched
- 29:57Speaker 2: almost precisely the marriage rate in Maine.
- 30:01Speaker 3: So they're clearly.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Connected or they don't have anything to do with each other,
- 30:04Speaker 2: and they're fun things to say when we're talking about
- 30:05Speaker 2: football games.
- 30:06Speaker 7: I don't know how I can follow that. I might
- 30:08Speaker 7: just have to walk off. I've Houston winning this game
- 30:10Speaker 7: twenty two to twenty. Wow, DJ Stroud.
- 30:15Speaker 5: I want to talk about his connection with Nico Collins
- 30:17Speaker 5: because Nico Collins was rested last week. I don't always
- 30:20Speaker 5: love rest Sometimes, I think it can be kind of
- 30:23Speaker 5: a problem for an offense that maybe hasn't looked fully
- 30:26Speaker 5: put together all season long. They have the best defense,
- 30:29Speaker 5: we understand that, but I'm thinking that it was actually
- 30:32Speaker 5: very smart and strategic to use this rest. The Steelers
- 30:35Speaker 5: defense is not the Steelers defense we're used to. So
- 30:38Speaker 5: the connection between he and Nico Collins, to me, will
- 30:40Speaker 5: be a huge factor in this game, more so than
- 30:43Speaker 5: the connection with the other quarterback and his leading receiver
- 30:45Speaker 5: who's also returning, but for different reasons.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Yes, I'm glad that both of them are back and
- 30:49Speaker 2: able to play this game. Want both teams to be
- 30:51Speaker 2: closer to full strength, but even at full strength, I
- 30:54Speaker 2: don't think this is necessarily close. I have twenty five
- 30:56Speaker 2: to thirteen win by the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Foard their ability not just to generate turnovers, but to
- 31:04Speaker 2: get points off of those turnovers as well.
- 31:06Speaker 3: And I know the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Rely on stant All the field a lot, dropping back
- 31:11Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers a lot, and he's very good at getting
- 31:14Speaker 2: a little ball quickly. I think he has to be.
- 31:16Speaker 2: But also I think there's a capacity for things to
- 31:18Speaker 2: go horribly wrong. I have a relatively easy Texas ways.
- 31:22Speaker 4: Wow, there's so much to talk about in this game.
- 31:25Speaker 4: You could talk about one of the greatest quarterbacks of
- 31:27Speaker 4: all time, maybe his last game like a heroic Stan,
- 31:29Speaker 4: Maybe Mike Tomlin's last game in Pittsburgh, one of the
- 31:33Speaker 4: defining defenses of this generation in Houston. Or you could
- 31:37Speaker 4: talk about the kickers, Chris Boswell and Kaimi Fairband. One
- 31:42Speaker 4: of them is the real thing, and one of them
- 31:45Speaker 4: is I can't believe it's not butter. Chris Boswell looking
- 31:48Speaker 4: like some marger in the last couple of weeks, missing
- 31:50Speaker 4: big time kicks in Cleveland at missed extra point last
- 31:55Speaker 4: week they got away with it, had a miss in Detroit.
- 31:58Speaker 4: He's not that dude, the football gods decided to punish
- 32:02Speaker 4: Cameron Dicker actually in that Los Angeles game because they
- 32:05Speaker 4: chose Cameron Dicker over Fairbaron for the Pro Bowl. Then
- 32:08Speaker 4: Dicker missed a couple of kicks. You know who doesn't
- 32:10Speaker 4: miss any big time kicks. It's one of the greatest
- 32:14Speaker 4: kickers out of the state of Hawaii, Kayimi Fairbarn In
- 32:17Speaker 4: a defensive game in hinz Field, he could be the difference.
- 32:20Speaker 4: We've seen the kickers be the difference in a lot
- 32:22Speaker 4: of these texanss that may.
- 32:23Speaker 7: Can butter then because with Margorin's he's smooth.
- 32:26Speaker 2: There's any number of ones that I could have done
- 32:28Speaker 2: with because cottage cheese consumption correlates specifically with the popularity
- 32:32Speaker 2: of the first name, Andrea.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Let's get to more on this game.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Either Rodgers will be happy to have his top target
- 32:39Speaker 2: back or you know they will see frustrated Aaron Rodgers
- 32:43Speaker 2: like that conversation with Arthur Smith during the game. Here
- 32:45Speaker 2: he is with or without dk Metcalf. The on off
- 32:48Speaker 2: splits generally favoring having the very good wide receiver.
- 32:52Speaker 3: On the field. Time for this guy or that guy.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers has the third most passing touchdowns in playoff history?
- 32:58Speaker 3: Who's more likely to throw two? Aaron Rodgers or c J. Stroud?
- 33:01Speaker 7: Going with c J.
- 33:02Speaker 5: Stroud in this one, it's because the It'sburg defense is
- 33:05Speaker 5: far more gettable than.
- 33:06Speaker 7: The Houston Texans defense. It's pretty simple.
- 33:09Speaker 5: I'm also looking at Stroud fighting shorter passes to I
- 33:13Speaker 5: don't know, not just Nico Collins, who already talked about before,
- 33:15Speaker 5: but he's also got a tight end in Dalton Schultz
- 33:18Speaker 5: that does a very nice job for him, and a
- 33:19Speaker 5: bunch of guys from Iowa State who are also very
- 33:21Speaker 5: helpful for him as well. So I think they're starting
- 33:24Speaker 5: to really pull together with his offense, and the passes
- 33:26Speaker 5: look more shorthanded. They're trying a lot more different things.
- 33:29Speaker 5: I just think it will be fun for them in
- 33:31Speaker 5: this matchup to kind of look at the tape from
- 33:33Speaker 5: what Lamar Jackson did on some of those busted coverages,
- 33:36Speaker 5: like that guy had maybe I don't know, two years
- 33:38Speaker 5: of space on either side of him.
- 33:40Speaker 7: So I'm gonna do that, all.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Right, Let's go to DK Metcalf, he's back after that
- 33:43Speaker 2: two game suspension. Who's more likely to have fifty or
- 33:46Speaker 2: more receiving yards DK or team MVP.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Wow, the game will grid.
- 33:51Speaker 4: I think it's Kenny g It's crazy, but he is
- 33:53Speaker 4: so valuable. You know what. Aaron Rodgers is not doing
- 33:56Speaker 4: a lot these days holding onto the ball. That won't
- 33:58Speaker 4: give a chance for DK Metcalf to have a big game.
- 34:01Speaker 4: Kamari Lassiter and Derek State maybe the best cornerback duo
- 34:07Speaker 4: that we've seen in a long time. Now. I made
- 34:10Speaker 4: this choice for Gainwell over DK Metcalf before you know,
- 34:14Speaker 4: I realized that Lasseter's status for the game is uncertain.
- 34:17Speaker 4: That's a big factor in this game. That would help
- 34:20Speaker 4: DK Metcalf and the entire receiver group out a lot.
- 34:23Speaker 4: But ultimately, these are cornerbacks that are kind of built
- 34:26Speaker 4: to stop DK Metcalf because they are so physical, they're
- 34:30Speaker 4: so sticky. They want to match up like this on
- 34:32Speaker 4: the outside. I think it's what really separates the Texans defense.
- 34:36Speaker 2: All right, I'll go to the running back situation, which
- 34:38Speaker 2: back more likely to run for over fifty three yards
- 34:40Speaker 2: Woody Marks or Jalen Warren. I will side with the
- 34:43Speaker 2: Pittsburgh Steelers and Jalen Mooren in terms of what does
- 34:46Speaker 2: defense need to focus on the absolute most. I think
- 34:49Speaker 2: the Steelers will be trying to force passing situations for
- 34:53Speaker 2: that Houston Texas front, and I think Jalen Warren could
- 34:56Speaker 2: break a big one and be heavily involved in the
- 34:59Speaker 2: ground game where you would like those pass rushers to
- 35:02Speaker 2: be trying to stop the run and not much hitting
- 35:05Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers coming up. There's no fun picking the favorite,
- 35:08Speaker 2: so we're making the case. We're a few under the
- 35:10Speaker 2: radar teams.
- 35:11Speaker 3: Winning Super Bowl sixty in Santa Clara.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Is anyone bold enough to take a true long shot Steelers?
- 35:18Speaker 3: Anyone find out who we pick? Yes, coach coming up next?
- 35:29Speaker 3: Super bowls sixty winner odds.
- 35:32Speaker 2: That's what LX stands for, is we get our annual
- 35:35Speaker 2: run through Roman nuberls sell high around March time.
- 35:40Speaker 3: For make the case.
- 35:41Speaker 2: As we see, the Seahawks are the favorite, but we're
- 35:44Speaker 2: gonna pick a dark horse team way way behind where
- 35:47Speaker 2: the Seahawks were with some longer odds.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Tell you why we think they can win the Super Bowl.
- 35:52Speaker 3: So start us off.
- 35:53Speaker 4: Great, Okay, I'm starting you off, and I'm gonna take
- 35:55Speaker 4: the Buffalo Bills.
- 35:56Speaker 7: You need to have them winning this week.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Okay, But Patrick stole the Jaguars from me in this exercise,
- 36:01Speaker 4: we all needed different ones, and my mind is understands that,
- 36:05Speaker 4: you know, I might be wrong about this week, and
- 36:07Speaker 4: I kind of think the winner of this Bill's Jags
- 36:09Speaker 4: game has a real chance. And if we're taking longer odds,
- 36:13Speaker 4: I think if they could get past this week, you
- 36:16Speaker 4: have a coach and Sean McDermott and a veteran defense
- 36:19Speaker 4: that is obviously not the strength of their team, but
- 36:22Speaker 4: I think he can coach on a game to game
- 36:25Speaker 4: basis as well as any defensive coach in the league
- 36:28Speaker 4: and adapt and just be okay. And then on the
- 36:30Speaker 4: other side, I'm often influenced by the last thing I heard,
- 36:33Speaker 4: And when I heard Josh Allen say that in the
- 36:36Speaker 4: off week, because he took that week eighteen up, Joe
- 36:39Speaker 4: Brady and him went over everything and talked about just
- 36:41Speaker 4: all the layups that he'd been passing up and that
- 36:44Speaker 4: he'd been going for too much and trying to play
- 36:46Speaker 4: hero ball when there were a lot of like easy
- 36:48Speaker 4: answers and being patient. I heard that. I said, this
- 36:51Speaker 4: guy who right now is the all time leader in
- 36:56Speaker 4: success rate as a runner in the history of the NFL.
- 36:58Speaker 4: It's literally the most effective play in NFL history is
- 37:01Speaker 4: Josh Allen running the ball and maybe he's gonna take
- 37:04Speaker 4: everything he's learned and go through a really flawed AFC field.
- 37:08Speaker 4: I think the Jaguars are great. It's gonna be tough
- 37:09Speaker 4: to get past this weekend, but if they can watch.
- 37:12Speaker 3: Out a deal. Which team are you going with? Chris
- 37:14Speaker 3: Gregors kind.
- 37:15Speaker 4: Of spoiled money, Well, you stole it from me, and
- 37:19Speaker 4: then she asked and it came out.
- 37:21Speaker 5: Okay, I'm going with the Texans, a team that I
- 37:23Speaker 5: have winning this week, because number one, you need to
- 37:25Speaker 5: win your games if you're going to make the Super
- 37:26Speaker 5: Bowl to therefore win the Super Bowl. You know, I
- 37:28Speaker 5: love the adage, right what is offense sells tickets and
- 37:31Speaker 5: defense wins championships, whatever it is. I'm looking at this
- 37:34Speaker 5: Texans defense.
- 37:35Speaker 7: And I'm terrified of them.
- 37:37Speaker 5: If they're any team, that is a horrible matchup for
- 37:40Speaker 5: just about any situation, just about any quarterback in the league.
- 37:43Speaker 5: I'm looking at, you know, all the different levels. It
- 37:46Speaker 5: has the Aziz Al Shair, which is kind of the
- 37:48Speaker 5: Fred Warner of this defense, because of course they comes
- 37:50Speaker 5: from a Shanahan tree.
- 37:52Speaker 7: You have the two cornerbacks, you talked about. Now add
- 37:54Speaker 7: in Jalen Petrie who in the slot. Don't mess with
- 37:56Speaker 7: him either there because that's terrible for opposing passers up front.
- 38:00Speaker 5: You know, Daniel Hunter and Will Anderson Junior are the
- 38:02Speaker 5: duo with the most pressure. There's just a problem everywhere
- 38:05Speaker 5: you look with this defense. So I think they should
- 38:08Speaker 5: at least not be fifth lowest or below fifth in
- 38:10Speaker 5: terms of odds that should be hired.
- 38:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:12Speaker 2: I like the Houston Texans in this exercise as well,
- 38:15Speaker 2: because they were the last team actually to beat the
- 38:17Speaker 2: team that I'm picking, and that's the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 38:21Speaker 7: Surprise, Oh my gosh.
- 38:22Speaker 4: I mean, what's wrong with spoiling it? Or say they've
- 38:26Speaker 4: already released the trailer for the Avengers, like a year
- 38:29Speaker 4: in advantage, good game, you know, raise the anticipation for
- 38:32Speaker 4: your great pick. Well, yeah, I have answered the email.
- 38:36Speaker 2: I was just having a little fun, Greg. I like
- 38:38Speaker 2: the Jacksonville Jaguars. I think doing helmet scouting is weird.
- 38:42Speaker 2: I think this is not your granddad's or your Jacksonville
- 38:45Speaker 2: Jaguars that you remember from the past. Since they lost
- 38:48Speaker 2: to the Texans, they won every single game. They've beat
- 38:50Speaker 2: two playoff teams. They scored thirty five points against both
- 38:54Speaker 2: of them, and they both looked really.
- 38:56Speaker 3: Bad against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 38:58Speaker 2: I think they could win the Super Bowl and there'd
- 39:00Speaker 2: be a lot of fun for the folks in Duvall.
- 39:02Speaker 4: It'd be one of the craziest results. And I gotta admit,
- 39:04Speaker 4: like I took you know, the Jags, and they were like, no,
- 39:06Speaker 4: Patrick took it. So then I responded, I said I'll
- 39:08Speaker 4: take the Texans and they're like, no, Cynthia got a ticket.
- 39:11Speaker 4: So just the answer here is that we're all fans
- 39:14Speaker 4: of the AFC South and maybe one of them is
- 39:16Speaker 4: gonna be in the super Bowl. Okay, that's all agree.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Yes, we'd agree. Fun division the playoffs or here this
- 39:23Speaker 2: winner go home. We're dropping our favorite player props for
- 39:26Speaker 2: wild card weekends. So many great options.
- 39:29Speaker 3: It's the playoffs.
- 39:30Speaker 2: We gotta check again, win or go home, unless, of course,
- 39:33Speaker 2: you were playing at home and you're gonna go home anyway.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Hopefully everybody is involved, it's an opportunity to go home.
- 39:38Speaker 3: You're watching game debut.
- 39:45Speaker 2: It's time for write this down as we get to
- 39:48Speaker 2: our prop predictions.
- 39:49Speaker 3: As Cynthia recovers on wild card weekend. I'll just start
- 39:52Speaker 3: a soft cared.
- 39:53Speaker 4: I am a big Brian Thomas and your fan. I
- 39:55Speaker 4: know it hasn't been his season, but I am loving
- 39:57Speaker 4: over forty two and a half. By the way, I'm
- 40:00Speaker 4: on fire with these write this downs only one loss
- 40:03Speaker 4: in like the last two month. Look, it's not gonna
- 40:05Speaker 4: be a heavy volume day for Brian Thomas Junior. But
- 40:07Speaker 4: they lost Maxwell Harriston Junior late in that Bills game
- 40:10Speaker 4: in week eighteenth. It is a slow secondary. You get
- 40:13Speaker 4: him one catch against Tredavius White. It's a slow group
- 40:16Speaker 4: at safety. He might only need one catch to get
- 40:19Speaker 4: over forty two and a half yards. Big play, Brian Thomas, un.
- 40:22Speaker 7: Somebody should have warned me.
- 40:26Speaker 10: Blake Korham to rush for at least forty four yards
- 40:28Speaker 10: against the Panthers. I feel like the Blake Korham numbers
- 40:31Speaker 10: are always too low. I feel like there's a few
- 40:34Speaker 10: things that are true in life, and that would be
- 40:35Speaker 10: the third one death taxes in Blake Koram's number being
- 40:38Speaker 10: way too low, especially against a Panthers defense that doesn't
- 40:41Speaker 10: want to stop the run. I'm so glad I stopped
- 40:43Speaker 10: laughing because I put the over under at me stopping
- 40:46Speaker 10: laughing at way under like what wasn't gonna happen?
- 40:48Speaker 2: So I will take an over for Travis Etn over
- 40:53Speaker 2: thirteen and a half receiving.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Yards against the Buffalo Bills. He set that.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Number relatively easily three of the last four weeks. Greg
- 41:00Speaker 2: Yard discussed his viability in the past game and the
- 41:03Speaker 2: Buffalo bill difficulty making tackles in space.
- 41:07Speaker 3: I think some of those.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Mistackles lead to Travis Etn going over thirteen and a
- 41:11Speaker 2: half receiving arts.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Can't wait to watch all these football games?
- 41:13Speaker 4: Does I mean? I hope all the teams do better
- 41:16Speaker 4: than me versus the confetti canon early but it is
- 41:19Speaker 4: gonna be a treat six GA. It's no longer Super
- 41:22Speaker 4: Wildcard weekend.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Oh no, there it is up as Greg tries to
- 41:27Speaker 3: figure it out.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Defective product, Thanks for watching games, debut present advising.
- 41:35Speaker 3: We'll see you next week.
