- 0:00Speaker 1: Football for is powered by the Inside of the Birds podcast.
- 0:02Speaker 1: It's brought to you by the Fanatic Sports Book at
- 0:04Speaker 1: Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City. That's where we are
- 0:07Speaker 1: today and every Monday. Don't forget UFC three twenty two
- 0:11Speaker 1: this Saturday night, right here at the Gallery barbooking games
- 0:14Speaker 1: at the Fanatics Sports Book at Ocean Casino Resort in
- 0:18Speaker 1: Atlantic City. And of course right now it is football
- 0:21Speaker 1: at four. Jeff Moscher, a Mosher Monday takes a look
- 0:25Speaker 1: at the matchups between the Eagles and the Packers, and
- 0:27Speaker 1: you know that extra day we kind of look over things.
- 0:30Speaker 1: But there was some news over the weekend. Most let's
- 0:32Speaker 1: dive into it. JayR Alexander will not travel. He is
- 0:36Speaker 1: not gonna be there. I don't know if it's a
- 0:38Speaker 1: huge surprise or lost for this team. I guess what
- 0:40Speaker 1: it does kind of say is, you know, they're not
- 0:43Speaker 1: really all that anticipating him helping them all that much.
- 0:47Speaker 1: But the other guys, Phillips and Carter, I guess, will
- 0:51Speaker 1: play in the game. Do we think Jalen Phillips will
- 0:55Speaker 1: have a role a big role, like a normal flow
- 1:00Speaker 1: of snaps tonight in this game?
- 1:04Speaker 2: Good questions First of all, Mike, congratulations to you on
- 1:08Speaker 2: professionally broadcasting a basketball game over the professional.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Basketball game for the weekend. Very excited, Thank you, great accomplishment.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Secondly, let's let's go backwards here, because you mentioned Nolan Smith, right,
- 1:22Speaker 2: he has technically not yet been activated.
- 1:24Speaker 1: No, no, no, Alexander.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Oh, jayra I.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Thought, well, I thought you also said that Smith and Phillips,
- 1:29Speaker 2: we're gonna Carter Carter Carter. Okay, we'll get into that
- 1:33Speaker 2: in a second. Yeah, So Jay R Alexander. Look, I
- 1:37Speaker 2: think it should be.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Noted that he popped up on the injury.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Report as coaches decision slash knee because he said he
- 1:44Speaker 2: felt healthier than he's ever been. But the knee is
- 1:48Speaker 2: the reason that his conditioning wasn't right, that he couldn't
- 1:50Speaker 2: get on the field for the Baltimore Ravens.
- 1:52Speaker 3: And obviously he's only been with.
- 1:54Speaker 2: The Eagles for a week and they play a specific
- 1:57Speaker 2: style of his own coverage that we talk about, the
- 2:00Speaker 2: carry deliver concepts that are not just really easily learnable
- 2:04Speaker 2: in one week, and if you haven't played in that
- 2:05Speaker 2: kind of system before then it's difficult to go out
- 2:08Speaker 2: there and know your assignment, So it looks like he's
- 2:10Speaker 2: gonna need some time both to learn the defense and
- 2:12Speaker 2: also to get and make sure his knee is right.
- 2:15Speaker 2: And that was the whole thing. It's like a dart throw.
- 2:18Speaker 2: He may never be right. He may never see the
- 2:20Speaker 2: field for the philoff the Eagles, and if he doesn't,
- 2:22Speaker 2: I mean, no harm done as far as what they
- 2:25Speaker 2: gave up.
- 2:26Speaker 3: But that's the situation with him.
- 2:28Speaker 2: And obviously I expect Jalen Phillips to play a pretty.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Decent amount tonight.
- 2:32Speaker 2: I mean, he's got no restrictions, no reason to scale back,
- 2:36Speaker 2: and he's part of a pass rush that is pretty
- 2:38Speaker 2: good here. Vic Fangio tends to rely on the three
- 2:42Speaker 2: man rotations, so you imagine that the starters will be
- 2:45Speaker 2: Jalen Phillips and Jelex Hunt and.
- 2:50Speaker 3: You know, we'll see if Uce gets in there.
- 2:52Speaker 2: And again, they have time here to activate Nolan Smith
- 2:56Speaker 2: if they want to. They have fifty two right now
- 2:58Speaker 2: on the roster. I believe he did go.
- 3:01Speaker 1: With it, and he said he said he was gonna play.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Yeah, he did say he was gonna play.
- 3:06Speaker 2: But you know what, there are a lot of guys
- 3:07Speaker 2: that have said it's not really his decision. I've heard
- 3:09Speaker 2: that before and guys didn't play.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Well like tonight. You know, you would think Jalen Phillips
- 3:13Speaker 1: if he practiced all week and he knows Vic's offense.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Do you see any reason why he would be limited
- 3:18Speaker 1: in terms of snapcount? Like, hey, you're here, you know
- 3:20Speaker 1: the defense you're gonna play with, how we envision you.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Play, and which which player is at Phillips? Yes, yeah, No,
- 3:27Speaker 3: I mean like you don't Vic. Vic is not He's
- 3:30Speaker 3: not Jim Schwartz at all. He has not let me
- 3:33Speaker 3: get like eight edges in there and rotate them all.
- 3:35Speaker 2: He's of the mindset that if you're playing and you're
- 3:38Speaker 2: playing well, and look what he did with you know,
- 3:41Speaker 2: Zadarius Smith that first game, and then like when Aziz
- 3:44Speaker 2: Ojel already played that first game and he was playing well,
- 3:46Speaker 2: they kept throwing him out there and throwing him out there.
- 3:49Speaker 3: So I don't see any reason for them, Especially in
- 3:51Speaker 3: a big game.
- 3:52Speaker 2: You're gonna need some pass rush, and this is a
- 3:54Speaker 2: guy who's been healthy this year and productive, so play
- 3:58Speaker 2: him as much as you can play him. I imagine
- 3:59Speaker 2: that'll be Vick's mantra. And I'm very curious to see
- 4:03Speaker 2: what goes on with Michael Carter. I imagine that I would
- 4:07Speaker 2: suspect that they'll start the game with Cooper de gen
- 4:12Speaker 2: will play outside corner and base. He'll move into the
- 4:15Speaker 2: nickel in nickel obviously, and then out the outside corner
- 4:19Speaker 2: in nickel. I suspect will either be Killer Ringo, maybe
- 4:22Speaker 2: Adri Jackson, and then maybe if there's a dime package,
- 4:26Speaker 2: we'll see Michael Carter or maybe we'll get surprised and
- 4:30Speaker 2: we'll see Michael Carter play some some nickel back in
- 4:33Speaker 2: de Gene on the outside.
- 4:35Speaker 3: That's an unlikely scenario to me, but it's possible.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Yeah, And you know, I want to get your take
- 4:41Speaker 1: on there. The one thing about the Packers to me
- 4:44Speaker 1: is like they don't have that number one wide receiver, right, Like,
- 4:48Speaker 1: there's not that guy and then Kraft goes down. What
- 4:51Speaker 1: do you think of the matchup of the secondary against
- 4:53Speaker 1: their passing game.
- 4:56Speaker 3: I think that they're You're right.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I think you're nailing on the down significant number of weapons.
- 5:00Speaker 2: You know, Jayden Reid from the start of the year
- 5:03Speaker 2: is not with them. And Tucker Craft, who is one
- 5:06Speaker 2: arguably having a top five tight end type year, and
- 5:08Speaker 2: is that kind of player is out. They're banged up
- 5:12Speaker 2: with Matthew Golden, their rookie, it sounds like he's gonna play.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I know there are other rookie Savion Williams banged up.
- 5:17Speaker 2: So right now you're looking at their top of the
- 5:19Speaker 2: receivers and you're looking at Romeo Dobbs, good player, Christian Watson,
- 5:24Speaker 2: who I think has been really good in the two
- 5:26Speaker 2: weeks that he's been back.
- 5:27Speaker 3: He's been a deep threat.
- 5:28Speaker 2: He's already caught like two or three balls over twenty
- 5:31Speaker 2: or thirty yards. So that's a guy that tonight you're
- 5:33Speaker 2: watching to see how the Eagles handle him. And then
- 5:37Speaker 2: after that, you know you're looking at like Dontavian Wicks
- 5:40Speaker 2: if he can play, and see what he can give you.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I mean, it's not a bad receiving corps, but without Craft,
- 5:45Speaker 2: without Jayden Reed there, they're certainly not where they want
- 5:48Speaker 2: to be.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it feels like.
- 5:49Speaker 1: A pitching staff with a lot of number twos and threes,
- 5:51Speaker 1: like there's no ace of his staff here. We just
- 5:54Speaker 1: had Aman Green on and he talked about Josh Jacobs
- 5:57Speaker 1: in the run game and like you know, he doesn't
- 5:59Speaker 1: much like Saquon and he talked to me. He said,
- 6:03Speaker 1: the one year I had eighteen hundred yards, and then
- 6:06Speaker 1: the next year it was a lot more difficult as
- 6:08Speaker 1: teams kind of tried now to say you're not going
- 6:11Speaker 1: to do things. So I'm interested to see if they
- 6:14Speaker 1: try to establish Josh Jacobs in this game and get
- 6:17Speaker 1: their running game going, because you would think Philly will
- 6:20Speaker 1: try to get their run game going the way that
- 6:22Speaker 1: Carolina was able to run the ball last week against
- 6:26Speaker 1: the Green Bay defense.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Yeah, and real quick, Mike, to your point, Nolan Smith
- 6:30Speaker 2: was just announced to be activated to the fifty three man.
- 6:33Speaker 2: All right, Again, they don't have to make a corresponding move.
- 6:35Speaker 3: They were down fifty two.
- 6:37Speaker 2: It doesn't appear as if to Corey and Bennett then
- 6:40Speaker 2: will be active, or else they would have announced it.
- 6:42Speaker 2: So it looked like they'll have till I think the
- 6:45Speaker 2: eleventh or twelve.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Well, what's today, today's tenth. Yeah, I think they only have.
- 6:48Speaker 2: One or two days left to get him on the
- 6:50Speaker 2: fifty three, which sure you imagine will come in that
- 6:53Speaker 2: timeframe unless there's something wrong and they just shut him
- 6:56Speaker 2: shut him down longer.
- 6:57Speaker 3: So well, they'd have to shut him out for the
- 6:59Speaker 3: year if that the case.
- 7:00Speaker 2: So anyway, Yeah, so back to your question about Josh Jacobs. Listen, this,
- 7:05Speaker 2: this is Matt Lafleur's deal. He is a he is
- 7:09Speaker 2: considered a I like matlafly I think he's a really
- 7:11Speaker 2: good head coach, but he is conservative and in that
- 7:15Speaker 2: he likes to have that heavy run balance. And when
- 7:17Speaker 2: you lose Tucker Craft and you're already down Jayden Reid,
- 7:20Speaker 2: you imagine you want to run the ball if you
- 7:22Speaker 2: can as much as possible. So but they haven't really
- 7:26Speaker 2: ran the ball like kind of like the Eagles. They
- 7:28Speaker 2: have not been as effective running the ball lately. They
- 7:33Speaker 2: I think Josh Jacobs is under four yards per carry,
- 7:35Speaker 2: which is not normally his style. He's not the explosive
- 7:38Speaker 2: runner that Saquon is, but he is a grinder and
- 7:41Speaker 2: he's a carry a bunch of guys runner, and he
- 7:44Speaker 2: can catch the ball pretty well. They're gonna have to
- 7:46Speaker 2: figure out a way the Packers are to be able
- 7:48Speaker 2: to lean on him and get him to be more
- 7:50Speaker 2: effective for their offense as a hole, to be more
- 7:52Speaker 2: effective real quick.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I want to go to the Nolan Smith. They are
- 7:56Speaker 1: activating him to the fifty three and elevating Patrick Johnson
- 8:00Speaker 1: for the game with Phillips here, who do you think
- 8:04Speaker 1: that affects the most, Nolan or Jalx.
- 8:10Speaker 3: I would think Jalox Hunt and that his.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Snaps will get scaled back a little bit.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Well, I mean you're asking long term more than tonight, right.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Just yeah, just for the season. Yeah, for like the
- 8:19Speaker 1: picture here, Now that Jalen Phillips is here, you must
- 8:22Speaker 1: assume that he's gonna be I don't want to say
- 8:24Speaker 1: in every down player, but you just talked about they don't.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Like, well, you know he's out there.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Point let me let me rephrase that or reanswer that.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Because Vick is so heavy on a three man rotes,
- 8:35Speaker 2: at least he's been so far, I can see a
- 8:38Speaker 2: situation where Jaln Phillips plays a lot and on the
- 8:41Speaker 2: other side you get more of a fifty to fifty
- 8:43Speaker 2: type rotation between Jalx Hunt and Nolan Smith. You know,
- 8:47Speaker 2: they obviously want to be able to keep Nolan Smith healthy.
- 8:49Speaker 3: He's had some injuries.
- 8:51Speaker 2: I think really the people most impacted are the ouchas Ojelari,
- 8:54Speaker 2: who's on IR right now. I mean, you know, Ojelari
- 8:58Speaker 2: could become a release candidate by the time he's ready
- 9:01Speaker 2: to be healthy, especially when they if they want to
- 9:04Speaker 2: have Ja Corey and Bennett back or you know, Willie
- 9:07Speaker 2: Lampkin or somebody else.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Right, So, I think the.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Backups uch and obviously Patrick Johnson's just gonna be there
- 9:15Speaker 2: for special teams.
- 9:16Speaker 3: And Brandon Graham, I don't know. I really don't know
- 9:18Speaker 3: how many reps Brandon Graham is.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Going to be able to give them or get on
- 9:22Speaker 2: a on a game to game basis.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Right well, and and you know Brandon is not obviously
- 9:25Speaker 1: a release Kennedy, He's gonna stick around, So you're right,
- 9:28Speaker 1: somebody else might have to be the odd man out there.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I'm really gonna look forward to the snaps for Phillips
- 9:33Speaker 1: and how they use him and then whose snaps go down,
- 9:36Speaker 1: because the other guy would be Joha Campbell. What kind
- 9:39Speaker 1: of role do you see him having?
- 9:41Speaker 2: Oh, man like, it's not I don't see any nickel
- 9:45Speaker 2: end role for him. I know he's practiced in that lately,
- 9:47Speaker 2: and that's means you know, pass Rusher outside Ed Rusher
- 9:51Speaker 2: and a four man front. I don't see that happening
- 9:54Speaker 2: with all the bodies that they got there now, and
- 9:56Speaker 2: I and I don't see him getting full time snaps
- 9:59Speaker 2: at off ball linebacker because Nikobe, Dean says, does such
- 10:03Speaker 2: a good job of just having the defense stabilize, getting
- 10:06Speaker 2: everybody lined up. That not only eases your front end,
- 10:09Speaker 2: and these is your back end as well. So I think,
- 10:12Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think he's gonna just sit on
- 10:14Speaker 2: the bench and click dust by any means. But I
- 10:16Speaker 2: think there's gonna be a time share there with him
- 10:18Speaker 2: and Nakobe at off ball linebacker.
- 10:21Speaker 3: But unless there's you know, you get some injuries again at.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Edge, I just don't I don't see Campbell really factoring in.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Maybe on the five to two front he comes down
- 10:29Speaker 2: and play some edge against the run, but that's that's
- 10:31Speaker 2: not a pass rusher role. It's just an extra body
- 10:34Speaker 2: to create a six man surface.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Yeah and listen, Yeah, well we'll see, you know, the
- 10:39Speaker 1: Eagles defense kind of the two games last year, it
- 10:43Speaker 1: was kind of two different games. The first game was
- 10:44Speaker 1: a little bit more, you know, obviously that's the first
- 10:46Speaker 1: game of the year, you're on a different surface in Brazil.
- 10:50Speaker 1: The playoff game, they you know, they played much better
- 10:53Speaker 1: and kind of dominated the game defensively in that one.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I'm wondering three turnovers or four turnovers I think in
- 10:59Speaker 2: that game.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, and the Eagles, by the way, if only
- 11:02Speaker 1: three turnovers the whole season this year, which is unbelievable.
- 11:06Speaker 1: And I said always like, if you're Philadelphia, we talked
- 11:09Speaker 1: about this with Alman Green. Is okay, you saw the
- 11:12Speaker 1: opponent the week before run twenty six times for one
- 11:15Speaker 1: hundred and sixty yards. You're the running back saying hey, coach,
- 11:20Speaker 1: let's try to watch what they did and do that
- 11:22Speaker 1: and try to do some take some plays out of
- 11:24Speaker 1: that playbook and go that way. You wonder if Philadelphia,
- 11:27Speaker 1: which has been going under center more, does say let's
- 11:30Speaker 1: turn around and get Saquon going again for a second
- 11:33Speaker 1: week in a row and try to emulate a little
- 11:35Speaker 1: bit here.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, and that has nothing to do with
- 11:38Speaker 2: the Packers game against the Panthers last week, and everything
- 11:41Speaker 2: to do with who are the Eagles, What do they
- 11:44Speaker 2: want to do? What are to succeed? How do they
- 11:46Speaker 2: want to live? And they want they want to have
- 11:48Speaker 2: that run game that is their bread and butter, and
- 11:50Speaker 2: they were excited about the return of it against the
- 11:53Speaker 2: Giants going into the buy And.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Yeah, they're going to want to do that against.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I mean, even if they come out throwing a little bit,
- 12:00Speaker 2: trying to loosen up that Green Bay pass rush, that
- 12:02Speaker 2: doesn't I mean, they're eventually foundationally going to want to
- 12:06Speaker 2: be a strong run game. That's why you have that
- 12:09Speaker 2: line in Saquon Barkley. All Right, the Packers have been
- 12:13Speaker 2: a good run defense that if you watched the Panthers
- 12:16Speaker 2: game right and knew nothing about the Packers, you would
- 12:18Speaker 2: think Jordan Love is not a horrible quarterback but a
- 12:22Speaker 2: very dangerous risk taker, and that the Packers have issues
- 12:25Speaker 2: against the run. But they actually rank high against the run,
- 12:28Speaker 2: and Jordan Love for the most part, has only thrown
- 12:31Speaker 2: I think three interceptions this year. He's not the guy
- 12:33Speaker 2: who used to be counted on for a weekly interception
- 12:36Speaker 2: like he was at the beginning of last year and
- 12:38Speaker 2: the year and before.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yeah, and listen, I've been kind of down on the
- 12:42Speaker 1: Packers more so than everybody else. I feel like the
- 12:44Speaker 1: Parsons trade elevated them to a level that maybe they're
- 12:48Speaker 1: quite not at. And last year everybody loved them and
- 12:52Speaker 1: they got knocked out right off the bat here, and
- 12:54Speaker 1: I think last year people elevated them. They got beat
- 12:57Speaker 1: and then this year, they made the Parsons trade andvated
- 13:00Speaker 1: them to a level that I don't think they can reach.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I put my hand up. I was there.
- 13:05Speaker 3: I thought that they were one of the top teams
- 13:06Speaker 3: in the NFC.
- 13:07Speaker 2: And then when they beat the Lions in the season
- 13:09Speaker 2: opener pretty pretty convincingly, at I looked at them like, oh, hey,
- 13:14Speaker 2: they're they're for real. You know, I always allow one
- 13:17Speaker 2: team a stinker every year, right, the Eagles had theirs
- 13:19Speaker 2: against the Giants, and I forget I you know, you
- 13:22Speaker 2: go through the teams and you say, everybody has a stinker,
- 13:24Speaker 2: but the Packers have more than one. The last the
- 13:26Speaker 2: Browns they lost to the Panthers and they tied the Cowboys.
- 13:29Speaker 2: So they're clearly not functioning on all cylinders.
- 13:34Speaker 3: They're still but I still think that they're.
- 13:37Speaker 2: If they go up and win in Green Bay, I
- 13:39Speaker 2: will say that is a very good win. That is
- 13:41Speaker 2: an excellent win. And by the way, it's a really
- 13:43Speaker 2: important win. If you're looking at the seedings and the
- 13:45Speaker 2: playoffs and time breakers.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Well listen, and we were talking about this earlier in Philly.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Right now, by the way, Seattle is actually the number
- 13:54Speaker 1: one seed because they played yesterday and had that seventh win.
- 13:56Speaker 1: But this is a big spot if you want to
- 14:00Speaker 1: try to get home field advantage all the way. And now,
- 14:01Speaker 1: remember this year Philly was the two seed. They needed
- 14:04Speaker 1: a Detroit loss to get that home field advantage for
- 14:07Speaker 1: the NFC Championship game. So you know, this game here
- 14:10Speaker 1: with the Packers, you really because you do have a
- 14:12Speaker 1: tiebreaker over the Rams, you do have a tiebreaker over
- 14:15Speaker 1: Tampa Bay. But there's so many teams in play for
- 14:18Speaker 1: the number one seed right now. So it's a major
- 14:20Speaker 1: major league game for that. So I think it's a
- 14:23Speaker 1: fun game going on the road, and we talk about
- 14:24Speaker 1: spots here Philly coming off of bye Jeff, Packers coming
- 14:28Speaker 1: off a bad loss last week, you almost feel like
- 14:31Speaker 1: they've got to be focused. And to see them lose
- 14:33Speaker 1: two straight home games if they're a legitimate Super Bowl contender,
- 14:36Speaker 1: that's tough to see.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Yeah, that is tough to see. You know, it's funny.
- 14:42Speaker 2: I was doing some of the like what would the
- 14:43Speaker 2: playoffs look? But right now if the Eagles won this
- 14:46Speaker 2: game and lost this game, and just either way, you
- 14:48Speaker 2: remember who last year the wild card was, like the
- 14:51Speaker 2: two wildcard teams were good like the Commanders were a
- 14:53Speaker 2: twelve win wild card team and the the the Vikings
- 14:56Speaker 2: were I think a thirteen win wildcard team.
- 14:59Speaker 3: And here you're looking, and.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Right now Seattle wins. At NFC West, you got the
- 15:02Speaker 2: Rams and the Lions as your top two wildcard teams.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Those are probably teams are gonna win eleven to thirteen games,
- 15:09Speaker 2: and the Bears right now are seventh.
- 15:10Speaker 3: They look pretty good.
- 15:11Speaker 2: So a really important game, a significant game, but also
- 15:15Speaker 2: a lot of football have to be played. That NC
- 15:17Speaker 2: West has got to figure itself out and the NFC
- 15:19Speaker 2: North has got to figure itself out.
- 15:21Speaker 3: But either way, the NFC looks pretty tight. And once
- 15:24Speaker 3: those Bucks get help, you, I.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Know, everybody can look at the Bucks right now and
- 15:27Speaker 2: be like, man, they lost the Patriots, they're not as good.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Wait till you get Bucky Irving back, right and wait
- 15:31Speaker 2: till you get Chris Gobwin back, and maybe they get
- 15:34Speaker 2: Michael what's his face? Mike Evans back too out of
- 15:38Speaker 2: them at the Broken colle I don't know for the playoffs,
- 15:40Speaker 2: but they're a tough team. They were in that Patriots
- 15:42Speaker 2: game for quite a bit. So NFC just looks mighty difficult.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Very much oh this is it. Look this game tonight
- 15:48Speaker 1: because of that, you could be Now, Philly's in a
- 15:50Speaker 1: little different position because their division situation, because their division,
- 15:54Speaker 1: they're you know, most likely going to win the division.
- 15:56Speaker 3: So yeah, they're locking through a top four seed.
- 15:58Speaker 1: That's nice, correct, Whereas if you're a Green Bay and
- 16:01Speaker 1: you lose, you have detrud on your heels. If you're Seattle,
- 16:03Speaker 1: you got the ramp the forty nine ers. Tampa Bay
- 16:06Speaker 1: kind of has the same situation that Philly's in, but
- 16:09Speaker 1: Carolina is hanging in that race a little bit. And
- 16:12Speaker 1: after Tampa Bay lost yesterday, Tampa's got a tough giar.
- 16:15Speaker 1: They played Bufalo this week coming up actually Tampa.
- 16:17Speaker 2: So yeah, Buffaloes have three stinkers. You know, they're a
- 16:20Speaker 2: team that can't get the benefit of the loss.
- 16:22Speaker 1: To the Dolphins yesterday.
- 16:23Speaker 3: For God's sake, No, Mike, they didn't lose. They got
- 16:27Speaker 3: by the Dolphins, all right.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Well, you know, obviously, you know when you have that
- 16:34Speaker 1: extra day, especially coming off of Bie. It's been a
- 16:36Speaker 1: lot of talk and breaking this whole thing down, but ultimately,
- 16:39Speaker 1: you know, a lot of people think that the Eagles
- 16:40Speaker 1: are the better team, but this is a tough spot
- 16:43Speaker 1: for them. Do you agree?
- 16:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I think, well, I mean I think that I
- 16:48Speaker 3: think that the NFC is weird.
- 16:49Speaker 2: I think that the two teams that have the most
- 16:52Speaker 2: talent are the Eagles and the Lions when you just
- 16:56Speaker 2: look at blue chip talent in the NFC. But the
- 16:59Speaker 2: teams that are playing the best football by far. I mean,
- 17:02Speaker 2: the Seattle Seahawks are playing at a level that is
- 17:05Speaker 2: just unreal right now. So they're just playing a really good,
- 17:09Speaker 2: good ball And I thought Tampa Bay, before the injuries,
- 17:12Speaker 2: was playing like almost ahead of its actual fifty three
- 17:15Speaker 2: man roster talent. They were just playing on another level.
- 17:18Speaker 3: And then I got a bunch of injuries.
- 17:19Speaker 2: So yeah, I think the Eagles are more talented than
- 17:22Speaker 2: the Packers from top to bottom, but that doesn't always
- 17:25Speaker 2: mean anything. You know, They're way more talented than the Giants,
- 17:27Speaker 2: and they lost by seventeen.
- 17:29Speaker 1: All right, Well, mosh, we'll break it all down Wednesday
- 17:32Speaker 1: when you're back here. And of course they're right back
- 17:34Speaker 1: at it, the Eagles are. They gotta play the Lions
- 17:36Speaker 1: on Sunday night next week, so we'll see how these
- 17:39Speaker 1: two games unfold. It's gonna be a big stretch Packers tonight,
- 17:42Speaker 1: Lions on Sunday, foul by Dallas, and then Chicago on
- 17:45Speaker 1: Black Friday. Is a tough month for Philadelphia. In the
- 17:48Speaker 1: seeding game, we'll see out all on folds right here
- 17:51Speaker 1: on ninety seven three ESPN.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Remember when everybody thought the first five games were the
- 17:55Speaker 2: gauntlet and then you know, but you just never know
- 17:56Speaker 2: who's gonna be. Like, the Cowboys can score a lot
- 17:58Speaker 2: of points, the Bears are looking good. It's back to
- 18:00Speaker 2: the gaultlet.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Yeah, and the Cowboys actually got a defensive player that
- 18:04Speaker 1: can walk in chew gum.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Yeah. How about that?
- 18:08Speaker 1: By the way, the Jets won yesterday without the two
- 18:11Speaker 1: guys playing defense for them. How about that?
- 18:13Speaker 2: This has been the most I know we say it
- 18:15Speaker 2: every week, two week two week league, but I feel
- 18:16Speaker 2: like this year more than ever. For whatever reason, I've
- 18:19Speaker 2: been following the Falcons every week to see what they do.
- 18:22Speaker 3: They are the craziest team I've ever seen.
- 18:25Speaker 2: The Falcons will play awful for like two weeks, then
- 18:28Speaker 2: they'll play pretty tough. They'll beat something like they beat
- 18:30Speaker 2: the Bills. Then they go and play the Colts tough.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Blow it, But that's like they are. And the Panthers.
- 18:35Speaker 2: The Panthers and the Falcons are a microcosm of the
- 18:38Speaker 2: NFL this year.
- 18:39Speaker 3: They don't make any sense.
- 18:40Speaker 2: How do you lose the Saints at home after you
- 18:43Speaker 2: beat the Packers in Green Bay?
- 18:44Speaker 3: How is that possible?
- 18:47Speaker 1: How does anybody lose to the Dolphins? By the way,
- 18:49Speaker 1: that's unbelievable this season. You're right, is upside down and
- 18:53Speaker 1: inside out. All right. The guys from Inside the Birds
- 18:55Speaker 1: will have plenty more on the Inside the Birds podcast,
- 18:58Speaker 1: which you can get on all podcasts testing platforms, and
- 19:01Speaker 1: of course tomorrow right here on Football at four, Adam
- 19:04Speaker 1: will be here to recap it. Jeff will be back
- 19:06Speaker 1: on Wednesday, and we'll keep an eye on that Jaquori E.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Bennett thing for Wednesday too, because if he's not activated
- 19:11Speaker 1: by Wednesday, that means he is out for the year
- 19:14Speaker 1: for the Eagles. All right, Jeff, thanks Bud.
- 19:16Speaker 3: All right, Mike, shout out to the money. Thanks take care,
