- 0:15the founder of the youth digital media brand Centennial World.
- 0:20Welcome back to Mini Scroll, everyone.

- 0:55e-mail. Check your spam.
- 0:56All right, let's get into the stories for today.
- 0:59OK? The first story that I have for
- 1:00you guys is that Tana Mojo has opened up about fan behavior at
- 1:04music festivals and what she would have to spend to go to
- 1:09Coachella safely. On the most recent episode of
- 1:12the canceled podcast, Tana Mojo talked about why she's hesitant
- 1:15to go to Coachella or really any music festival again.
- 1:19OK, quickly before we get into the story on the topic of the
- 1:23canceled podcast, Tana and Brooke are coming to Australia
- 1:26on the cancelled podcast tour and we are trying really hard to
- 1:31get an interview with them on our podcast to promote the tour.
- 1:36Of course they are problematic girlies, but I don't know if
- 1:41there is anyone more relevant to interview on our specific
- 1:47podcast then Tana Mojo. So with that being said, can you
- 1:51guys leave a comment on either Spotify or YouTube and let us
- 1:54know how relevant it would be to have them on the podcast?
- 1:58Because we are fighting for our lives right now trying to prove
- 2:01that it's not like a conflict of interest.
- 2:03And honestly that is like the nicest thing that anyone has
- 2:07ever thought about my brands. It's like the most flattering
- 2:10thing ever. What a compliment that people
- 2:13are thinking that like Tana and Brooke coming on my podcast
- 2:17would be like a conflict of interest for like us to promote
- 2:19their podcast tour anyways. I can't think of a more relevant
- 2:23platform for Tana and Brooke to promote their Australian podcast
- 2:26tour on a podcast specifically about creators and Internet
- 2:31culture news. We cover Tana and Brooke so much
- 2:34on this podcast. Like, I truly cannot imagine a
- 2:37more relevant place for them to come.
- 2:40And yeah, we are like fighting for our lives to prove that.
- 2:43It's like story of our lives, story of our lives as an
- 2:46independent media brand, story of our lives.
- 2:49But if you guys could comment, please, like, then we can send
- 2:52it to management and like, whoever is making these
- 2:55decisions and be like, see, it is super relevant.
- 2:59It's not a conflict of interest. You think my podcast is a
- 3:03conflict of interest with Tana Mojo's canceled podcast?
- 3:06That is like the craziest compliment of all time, but I
- 3:09can't stress enough that it's not OK.
- 3:12Obviously Coachella is soon and Tana was saying that if she was
- 3:16going to attend this year, it would cost her $17,000 to do it
- 3:23the way she wants. And after Brooke and Page kind
- 3:26of pushed her to expand, she said that a huge chunk of that
- 3:30cost would come from her needing to hire security to feel safe.
- 3:34I totaled up what my absolute minimum Coachella spend this
- 3:37year would be, and it's like $17,000 and it's like.
- 3:41There's I'm just going to go out on a whim and say that's not
- 3:44your minimum spend. Like I think you could
- 3:46definitely do it cheaper than $17,000.
- 3:50I know. I guess you're like maybe 14?
- 3:54But if I want to do it Tana style, yeah.
- 3:57You you I also that's. The thing is, the bodyguard I
- 4:01just, I, I love my fans. I wouldn't change anything in
- 4:03the world, but anytime I've done any music festival without a
- 4:05bodyguard, I get touched in places I don't want to get
- 4:08touched. You get fucking berated.
- 4:09I really do like people love to just grab my holes, my orifices,
- 4:14and I know what it. Is wasn't it last Coachella?
- 4:16Someone just came up to you and they were like Tana like grabbed
- 4:18your tits and was like shaking them. 100 engines, it's always
- 4:20the headlock and it's and then it's like, yes, all my friends
- 4:24can go and like then their job is to help me, like protect
- 4:28myself in a way. But that's no fun for everyone
- 4:30with me then, And then no one wants to be around me.
- 4:33Like what am I going to do? Like try to send like fend
- 4:37someone off who's like on Molly rolling and drunk as fuck trying
- 4:40to like say hi to you. No one's going to take me
- 4:41seriously. You need like a big security.
- 4:43Guard and then that's an artist pass for them and then the rate
- 4:45of them and then I don't know it.
- 4:47And obviously, yeah, I could just not do that, but I don't
- 4:50feel safe. OK, so I get that Tana is really
- 4:53open with us, so it kind of feels like we already know so
- 4:57much about her and she's so like emotionally vulnerable with us.
- 5:00I imagine for fans, it doesn't feel like a huge breach of
- 5:04privacy to touch her if you see her in a crowd or something.
- 5:08But like, we need to stop touching celebrities.
- 5:10We need to stop touching influencers.
- 5:12We need to stop touching baby bumps.
- 5:14Just threw that in there. It's rogue.
- 5:15But we need to don't touch random people, especially
- 5:20strangers. And even though you know who
- 5:22Tana Mojo is, she doesn't know who you are.
- 5:25So keep that in mind before you go up to like a celebrity or an
- 5:28influencer or a baby bump to touch it.
- 5:30I think it's just so inappropriate.
- 5:31It's so invasive. And just because Tana or other
- 5:34influencers like spill their heart outs to the camera and
- 5:39upload that on the Internet doesn't mean that their fans are
- 5:42entitled to treating them however they want.
- 5:44And I'm interested to hear the response to this clip because
- 5:47last year when Chapel Rhone said something similar to her fans
- 5:51and was basically Tana actually didn't say this to her fans.
- 5:53She was just like, I love my fans, but like, people touch me
- 5:57and it's invasive. You know, Chapel was
- 5:59specifically being like, do not come up to me, don't touch me,
- 6:03you know, don't ask for photos, like whatever.
- 6:04And I would say the general consensus amongst her fan base
- 6:08was pretty positive. Like, people really understood
- 6:11where she was coming from and they backed that.
- 6:14But I think sometimes there is not that kind of grace for an
- 6:18influencer. So I'm interested to see what
- 6:20the reception is to this. But I completely get why she
- 6:24would want security. Who wants to be touched by
- 6:26random strangers, especially all weekend at something like
- 6:30Coachella? OK, the next word that I have
- 6:31for you guys is that Sydney Sweeney is about to star in a
- 6:37Reddit story being turned into a movie.
- 6:39I am obsessed with this crossover of worlds for us.
- 6:43So Warner Brothers has won on the rights to a film about a
- 6:45viral Reddit story posted four years ago and it will start
- 6:49Sydney Sweeney. The story was posted on the R
- 6:51slash no sleep subreddit which is like AI think they called it
- 6:55creepypasta subreddit by an English teacher Joe Coat in 2021
- 7:01and the story is titled I pretended to be a missing girl
- 7:04so I could rob her family. The short story follows a girl
- 7:07who pretends to be the missing daughter of a grieving family so
- 7:10she can infiltrate the family and steal from them.
- 7:13It's kind of giving Orphan. I can't even tell you guys like
- 7:16the orphan was one of the formative movies for me.
- 7:20I watched it when I was at my cottage.
- 7:24I think I was like 10. I don't even know.
- 7:26I was young when it first came out.
- 7:28And my best friend would always come up every summer to spend a
- 7:32week with me at my cottage and we would have like the best week
- 7:35ever, like all these sleepovers. And we would always go to the
- 7:37drive in and, and we went to the drive in and it was like a 60s
- 7:40drive in. Like it was such a vibe.
- 7:42And we watched the orphan. And I remember it was like one
- 7:44of the first years that we were old enough where my mom would
- 7:47let us stay for like the double hitter.
- 7:49Like, you know, usually when you're younger, you go for like
- 7:51the first movie and it's like more of a kids like family
- 7:53friendly movie. And then it would be like a
- 7:55scary movie or an action movie or something after.
- 7:57And so this was like the second movie and we got to stay.
- 8:00And I just remember like my best friend and I going back and like
- 8:03having a sleepover on like the screened in porch at my cottage
- 8:08and just being so scared that the orphan, what was her name?
- 8:13It wasn't like Annalise, but it was something I forget anyways
- 8:16that the orphan was going to like pop up.
- 8:20It's just like one of my formative memories.
- 8:22OK, so the author of this Reddit story, Joe Coat, said that the
- 8:27story is entirely fictional. And he's also been brought on to
- 8:30be an executive producer. And he did give some quotes to
- 8:34some news outlets. And he was like, what the hell
- 8:36is happening? When he said that he found out
- 8:38that studios were reaching out to him.
- 8:39He was like, what is going on? I think this is so cool.
- 8:42Like, how cool is it that you just post a story on Reddit?
- 8:46Like you, you do some creative writing, you post it on Reddit.
- 8:48And now Warner Brothers has paid you for the rights to make this.
- 8:51You know, the Internet has done some really bad things and
- 8:55Reddit can be a really bad place, but this is one of like
- 8:59the best types of stories to come out of the Internet and
- 9:03social media and forums and Reddit in general.
- 9:05Like these kinds of stories make it feel worth it, like
- 9:09sometimes. OK, the next two stories that I
- 9:12have, I'm sorry, you guys, these stories are just so nothing.
- 9:16But it was a slow Newsday in Internet culture creator News.
- 9:21So Alex Earl has responded to rumors that her boyfriend
- 9:24Braxton Berrios has been texting his influencer ex.
- 9:28So yesterday Alex and Braxton went on live and during it, Alex
- 9:33made a shady comment saying that Braxton's ex was hitting him up
- 9:36today. So everyone immediately thought
- 9:39that it was Sophia Culpo. Sophia and Braxton dated right
- 9:42before Alex and Braxton dated and Sophia has been quite vocal
- 9:46about like alluding to the fact that Braxton cheated on her with
- 9:50Alex Earl. So fans have been sending Sophia
- 9:53I guess some hate because everyone thought that Alex was
- 9:58referring to Sophia saying that she was hitting him up.
- 10:01But Alex has addressed this and she wrote in a comment on TikTok
- 10:05I was making a joke about it. There is nothing bad going on
- 10:07and it's no one that anyone knows.
- 10:10So please don't attack people. I understand Alex probably feels
- 10:13like she doesn't owe Sophia anything especially if Alex
- 10:16truly I mean if they didn't have an affair but also if she
- 10:19doesn't believe that she did anything wrong with Sophia and
- 10:22Braxton. And yes, like Sophia has gone on
- 10:25many a public platform and talked about how they had this
- 10:30like affair like cheated on her. So like I get that Alex probably
- 10:34doesn't have the best feelings for Sophia but I also just think
- 10:37like knowing the like a love triangle between them and the
- 10:41discourse, it still hasn't calmed down.
- 10:43I understand largely because of Sophia, but still the fact that
- 10:47she would say that on live, especially if it's not about
- 10:49Sophia, I feel like is just messy.
- 10:52OK, and the next story that I have for you guys, I don't have
- 10:55anything to say about this, but Jake Paul got engaged to Olympic
- 10:58speed skater you to leer them. I fear for this woman.
- 11:02I don't know how you could be an Olympic athlete who is also so
- 11:06hot and you choose to spend your life with a man like Jake Paul.
- 11:11I'm scared. I'm scared for her.
- 11:14He is a bad man. Also, their engagement picks and
- 11:17stuff, like they are both wearing full white.
- 11:19Like there's no way that this was not, in my opinion, staged
- 11:22or planned. I don't know.
- 11:23Jake Paul's engaged. OK, someone check on Tana.
- 11:26OK guys, that's it for mini scroll today.
- 11:28I love you guys. Please rate, review and
- 11:31subscribe. Please subscribe to High Stakes
- 11:33as well and rate them. Annabelle will talk to you
- 11:36tomorrow and I will talk to you on Thursday, which is also the
- 11:38launch of High Stakes. OK, bye.
