  I am fresh off the streets today because I just came back from

  Jacobs High School Awards academically and couldn't be

  prouder of all of those kids. Some smart kids, man.

  I think it's a class of like 2000 and like Jacob.

  Jacob's grade point average was 3.93 and he was like 80th in the
• 0:58
  line up. Something like maybe he moved up
• 0:59
  a little bit more than that. He was like, he was like between

  50 and 80 or something like that out of that entire class.

  So kudos to him and everyone else.

  I've never been prouder. And now we move on to his

  graduation, which I gave you some dates on that.

  I think it is because he has his graduation in Orlando.

  You know, I, I don't know, I think people, a lot of people

  Like just to get through high school and then on top of that

  to do as well as he did, you know, it's a lot of kudos to

  him. Yeah, you know, I look back on I

  went to my high school graduation, but I graduated from

  2 two year schools and I didn't go to either of those

  graduations. Can you believe that?

  I can't believe I did that. I in I look back on.

  I don't really regret it, but like coming off a night like

  tonight where it's almost like a pre graduation ceremony.

  I'm kind of like, I'm like, it made me feel like, you know

  what? I should just have done that for

  myself because of the hard work to get there, even if I was just
• 4:19
  kind of like, Nah, I'm not that kind of spotlighty kind of guy,

  you know? But I probably should have just
• 4:26
  done it for myself, even if I didn't feel like going, you
• 4:31
  know? Yeah, but you can't take it
• 4:33
  back. So you were saying that this was

  one of your favorite podcasts? It is because of the big Star
• 4:41
  Wars fan I am, you know, anytime I have an opportunity to talk
• 4:45
  about what Star Wars means to me and everything, anybody that's
• 4:49
  been with us for even one year or a multiple years will recall
• 4:54
  that I my deep connection to Star Wars was was from my dad.
• 4:57
  That was the biggest connection we had together.
• 5:00
  And then, you know, there was one point where Star Wars was
• 5:03
  just dead. And then Disney comes along and
• 5:07
  purchases the rights and now, you know, Star Wars lives again.
• 5:12
  And for the opportunity to sit back in the theater with my
• 5:16
  kids, that was an emotional moment for me to be able to
• 5:22
  experience with them switching roles.
• 5:24
  We're now I'm the parent. Taking the child to Star Wars
• 5:28
  was was really big for me. So the fact that we can go to
• 5:33
  Hollywood studios anytime and just live out a Star Wars
• 5:38
  fantasy or just be surrounded by Star Wars any day we want to me
• 5:43
  is is it means so much to me. And to go on May the 4th is even
• 5:48
  better. It's a day to celebrate Star
• 5:50
  Wars. It's a holiday for me and I've
• 5:53
  been lucky enough to get that off every year since we started
• 5:57
  doing this on the channel. So I'll be there on Monday with
• 6:01
  Tammy. Jacob has big testing that day.
• 6:03
  So unfortunately he can't be there, but Tammy and I will be
• 6:06
  there to run the live stream and show you all the everything that
• 6:11
  Hollywood Studios has to offer for May the 4th.

  And you know, when you talked about living out, you know, Star
• 6:17
  Wars fantasies right there in the park.
• 6:19
  I mean, eventually or not eventually, I mean, it's pretty
• 6:22
  soon now you're going to have new adventures on smugglers run.
• 6:27
  I mean, that's going to be really big changes the the the
• 6:32
  ride itself. Not only are you getting new
• 6:34
  scenes, but there's new stuff to do for the engineer, which has
• 6:40
  always been the just taking a back seat literally in the ride,
• 6:46
  you know, and the experience. And it was all about the 2
• 6:50
  pilots and maybe the Gunners a little bit.
• 6:53
  But honestly, even the Gunners, you just hold, you can just hold
• 6:56
  the button. You don't.
• 6:58
  Even have to not a lot of interaction there.

  Pilots get it all, so it'll be nice for the engineer to have to
• 7:06
  have some fun over there. So I'm excited.

  I I think Star Wars Day is going to be really cool.

  They've done a lot of different things this year.
• 7:13
  And I had wondered for a long time what the plan was going to
• 7:17
  be because the merch used to always be in the Muppet store
• 7:20
  and the Muppet store is no more. So I had wondered what was the
• 7:24
  plan for it and they've they've given us that, that plan.

  So. Oh OK, I can't wait to hear
• 7:31
  because I don't know what the plan is.

  Oh, all right. Well, Corey's going to find out

  with with all of you what the plan is for the merch for May

  the Fourth, which is Monday. It's coming up quick.

  I kept thinking, you know, I've been thinking about this for

  weeks and weeks and it just, you know, it, it felt like it was

  far off, far off, far off. And the other day TM, he's like

  May the 4th is Monday. I'm like, whoa, OK, it's finally

  here. So what is your plan for that

  day? What, what time do you are you

  getting there? Are you rope dropping something

  close to that? Yeah, Tammy and I will be rope

  dropping or super, super close to that.

  We'd like to walk through the gates, you know, at 9:00.

  So matter of fact, we will be. Will we be there?

  No one. Oh, we won't be there.

  Oh, I was thinking of something else.

  Yeah. So we're going to try to rope

  drop that thing and get ready to go.

  The queue, there's a virtual queue that starts at 7:00 AM.

  And you know, I'm the king of virtual queues.

  So we'll get our place in line virtually for the merch.

  So once we're there around 9:00 and we fire up that live stream,

  we'll we'll see what time we have, you know, roughly to be

  called for the merch. It doesn't matter if it's right

  away or if it's three or four hours from then because we'll

  still be there. So we'll start looking.

  We'll start trying some snacks and spending a little more time

  in Batu. I did slack on Olga's.

  I did not get an Olga's reservation, so that might not

  happen. I'm kind of peeking at it and

  maybe that day, that morning, something will free up where we

  can dip in there because normally we do that on May the

  4th as well. But yeah, we're going to, we'll,

  we'll when we look at the snacks, I, I almost feel like

  we'll try most of them. Not all because I don't care for

  like the cheeros. The cheeros are cool, but so

  there might be one of two things we don't try, but I think most,

  mostly we will try everything that's offered for snacks,

  especially for that day. So we'll give everybody the

  full, the full effect, everything they have to offer

  there, which isn't much, right? It's much.

  It's food. I don't think we get any special

  character meet and greets and things like that.

  Now would be nice, but yeah, that's not what we're getting.

  like our Epcot Festival previews.

  Yeah, I like that idea. Yeah, when they released the

  foodie guide, I'm like, hey, we always have foodie guides for

  the festival, so why not? Why not do this for that?

  They also released today was a lot of or there was some news

  obviously halfway to Halloween. So we're going to discuss that.

  Probably we'll do that next week after we get more information.

  The dates for the parties came out, Some of the information for

  Five, I think it was in their Halloween costumes.

  But Goofy comes out and he's wearing like a farmer's outfit

  And he goes back and changes and he's wearing a Christmas

  costume. And so then all of a sudden

  everybody's like, oh, that means they're going to announce the

  Christmas party stuff soon. It's like, we, we just got the

  Halloween stuff today. Calm down.

  That'll be Christmas in July. We're halfway to Halloween.

  I have been there for two. I think I did 2 maybe.

  I do remember the first one, waiting for the popcorn bucket

  and then getting to go see the merch in the Muppet store.

  So I thought it was kind of an event, although it is merch and

  food like Corey said, if they were to introduce like

  different, different meet and greets or maybe a special
• 13:16
  parade. We talked about the March of the

  1st Order, you know, if they brought that back.

  I know Corey's mentioned about having like Stormtroopers up on
• 13:25
  top of the entrance way of Hollywood Studios.

  When? Like I would that would, that

  would just be because then it puts you right in the mood the
• 13:36
  minute you show up at the gate. These are simple things that you
• 13:42
  can do. So I don't want to you know, you
• 13:44
  know my stance on it. A lot of people know my stance

  on this and it's it's just being it more of a cheerleader for me.

  The 4th and we're celebrating that in this podcast.

  So don't want to take a negative angle towards it.

  But I'll just say this, just just to go off of what you're

  saying too, is there are easy ways to make this a spectacular

  day. It's, you know, it's, it's not

  about just putting out some merch.

  I mean, for them it is. I guess at this point, it's not

  about just putting the merch out and a few snacks like we could

  plus this up so much. And, and what you're all we're

  asking too is just bring back some things that we're used to

  give us, give us the the March of the 1st order with Phasma.

  That's pretty easy. You know, give us, I can't

  remember the stage show, but the stage show that just ended maybe

  three years ago or whatever. I loved that stage show that

  would happen a few times during the day where it brought on.

  It showed little snippets of the stories of the characters and it

  was at 1 moment you could see Chewbacca and you could see Ray

  and BB8 and R2 and 3PO and Boba Fett and just so many of them

  all on stage together. So cool.

  And then at night you do the, I forgot the name of that one too,

  but you do that Star Wars nighttime spectacular.

  That was so cool. Even when the Emperor emperor

  scene came, they did this effect where it looked like electricity

  was going over your head and through the trees.

  I don't know if you remember that.

  No. So that you know, it's just,

  it's just it's a projection show, maybe a few fireworks and

  just a lot of great Star Wars quotes and all that.

  If they just did all of that alone, it it would be, it would

  be so, so fun. And just put a few special

  character meet and greets out. And then this is the last thing

  I'll say. If you want to go one more step

  above and beyond. She loves coming here.

  You get to Ashley Eckstein try, you know, it's Star Wars, it's

  Disney. These people work for Disney.

  Get a couple of stars from some of the current shows or one one

  of the movies and just do a little parade one time, do a

  as a family, I would pay. Why does Disneyland get special

  night Star Wars nights events and we get none of that?

  Like we need that and I would pay for that.

  So I understand why to some degree, but we still get after

  hours parties at the three parks.

  So instead of the Hollywood studios after hours parties,

  what if they were Star Wars nights or theme nights of any,

  you know, of any type? Yes, I I mean, hello, this park

  is busier than Disneyland you, which means you would sell a lot

  more tickets to that than you would over there.
