- 0:16The Voice of Texas, Houston talk radio.
- 0:40We are in fact the mob guys.
- 0:42I am Craig Coglianese.
- 0:43I get to say my name first for no reason at all whatsoever because he is the much more
- 0:47famous person.
- 0:48Well, I, I, I, and we should talk about that.
- 0:52First of all, I, I can answer, I can answer why.
- 0:55Would you leave my headphone volume, volume alone?
- 0:58You don't want me to come back to the studio. No, no, I can I wanted higher. Okay
- 1:02Yeah, I turn it down during the break so that you don't have to hear it as loud. I apologize
- 1:06I don't I don't I like like I was in radio when I I'll leave it were like before you were even thought I won't touch it
- 1:13I I
- 1:15Always had the headphones full blast in my ear. Okay, you're that guy. I got you
- 1:20I'm that I know that because of that I'm a little deaf now. Okay, that's fine. I'll leave it up turn it
- 1:25Well, you turn it down, I feel like the person going,
- 1:29what?
- 1:30I go to dinner with my family now, Craig.
- 1:32Here's the thing.
- 1:33All I hear are plates.
- 1:34Here's the thing, you're not gonna like this
- 1:35and you're gonna tell me to shut up and it doesn't matter
- 1:37and that's okay and you're right.
- 1:38You could turn it up yourself.
- 1:40I'm just using Riverside, the thing you're logged into,
- 1:42to turn it up and down for you.
- 1:44I figured during the breaks you'd want it quieter
- 1:46than during the segments and I have been forgetting.
- 1:49But I wanna explain it just real quick
- 1:51for anybody that wonders why the hell
- 1:53does my name come first in this show with Wayne Dolcefino, the award-winning, much
- 1:59more famous person.
- 2:01And you know what's funny is the belief was when we started this, you wouldn't be available
- 2:05as much in the morning.
- 2:07Yeah.
- 2:08And there are going to be days when I'm not available, but I like you.
- 2:12Yeah, I like you too.
- 2:13And I think the country is incredibly screwed up.
- 2:17Yes.
- 2:17And we accept things.
- 2:19Yes.
- 2:19And we all want the government to take care of us.
- 2:22Blah, blah, blah.
- 2:23So this is part of why I do this is my frustration level is so high.
- 2:31And I'm home at night alone when I'm here.
- 2:35And all I do is like reinforce and get so mad.
- 2:39Sure.
- 2:40Sure.
- 2:41I hear things like I heard, you know, I like that CNN show, the late night show.
- 2:47and the story is that guy, get his name.
- 2:51But last night, he went off on a rant
- 2:55about just how fake the Talarico conspiracy was.
- 2:59So yeah, I do wanna talk about that.
- 3:01And I really think it's interesting for a couple reasons.
- 3:05And honestly, just to go back real quick,
- 3:07if you can do the show from a hotel room,
- 3:10which you've been doing it from,
- 3:11then I think we might wanna rename it.
- 3:13It might need to be Mob Guys with Wayne D'Altrifino
- 3:15and Greg Dalman.
- 3:16I don't want to rename it.
- 3:17That's fine.
- 3:18But anyway, I will say this.
- 3:20The smoke is not fire for the Talarico story.
- 3:24It's not.
- 3:25There's smoke, but there's no fire.
- 3:27And the fact that the left wants to pretend there's no smoke is part of the reason I think,
- 3:32I'm not blaming them entirely, but part of the reason the right is acting the way it
- 3:35is.
- 3:35Because it is odd to give two different answers to how you decided to go about treating yourself
- 3:43for really bad fluid.
- 3:44It is weird.
- 3:44The flight that left close to a facility that would have potentially brought someone to
- 3:51a mental health clinic, it's weird.
- 3:54And it does kind of fit, even if people try to reject the timeline of it.
- 3:58Is it true?
- 3:59Does that mean that he went there?
- 4:00No.
- 4:01Anybody on the right that's pretending any of this is evidence of a thing is lying.
- 4:05They are hurting, I think, the conservative movement in behaving as though they know something
- 4:10that they don't know.
- 4:11But, pretending there's nothing is the reason this happens so much.
- 4:16I think a lot of actual voter people, Wayne, are just so upset because all they see in
- 4:21media is denial.
- 4:22And sometimes denials cause them to believe extreme versions of conspiracy theories.
- 4:27Yeah, people don't believe anything, really, that anybody says anymore.
- 4:32And so that leads to this sort of conspiracy theory.
- 4:40There's a conspiracy theory about everything.
- 4:44I do have one other quick thing I want to say.
- 4:48We really need Charlie Kirk.
- 4:50We do.
- 4:51I don't see, maybe turning points doing a lot of stuff I don't know about and I'm not
- 4:56picking on them.
- 4:57I don't know those guys, but I just don't see that the young part.
- 5:02I would love to see a commercial personally with younger Republican voices.
- 5:13The crowds in these conservative things are churches.
- 5:17My family goes to a Catholic church in Austin where my homestead is there.
- 5:25The place is packed every week.
- 5:27There is a revival in this country that should give us a spirit of optimism.
- 5:35Sure, there is short-term pain, but we're trying, Donald tries to, we, I don't work
- 5:41for Donald Trump, but Donald Trump, I believe we really figured out that over the last 20
- 5:48years, the corporations sold this country out.
- 5:53The government did.
- 5:54They did.
- 5:54Right?
- 5:55We globalized, we said all our manufacturing so it would be cheaper somewhere else because
- 6:00people like buying shirts like this.
- 6:03It costs like eight bucks or something, right?
- 6:05So it didn't cost eight bucks, but you know, I'm classy.
- 6:08But you know what I mean?
- 6:10People got used to it.
- 6:12They like lower prices.
- 6:14And so we basically destroyed a lot of our manufacturing.
- 6:19And you've got to bring it back somehow and the tariffs were used.
- 6:25Yeah, but the tariffs were great.
- 6:27They were great.
- 6:28That's right.
- 6:29To say, look at Don Corleone up there.
- 6:35Listen to the Don.
- 6:36Yeah, he would do it.
- 6:38He would say, you will make a deal.
- 6:42You won't have tariffs.
- 6:43Good.
- 6:43But you got to invest and you got to build factories and you got to build your Japanese cars or your
- 6:48Taiwanese cars or whatever, or your shrimp, whatever, you got to bring it here so we can
- 6:55create manufacturing jobs.
- 6:57That is not a one day thing.
- 7:00That is a process that will take years to evaluate.
- 7:06Now, you know what's so interesting about that too, because the tariffs got so crapped
- 7:10on so quickly by everybody on the left.
- 7:12And then eventually some people even on the conservative side, because they didn't like
- 7:16some of maybe the immediate harm that was happening.
- 7:19That's one of those moments where I think Trump was actually incredibly honest because
- 7:23he said in several different addresses that, yeah, there's going to be some short term
- 7:29pain, but the short term pain hopefully brings about a long term benefit to us.
- 7:34It's true that bringing back manufacturing jobs to this country now is going to be ...
- 7:40It's critical.
- 7:40It's going to be one of the most important things for the future of our country because
- 7:44one of the fights that occurs whenever countries disagree is what products I'm not going to
- 7:50give you, what products I am going to give you, how I'm going to ... We need to insulate
- 7:54ourselves from the idea that say China can cut us off over here or over there and we
- 7:59can struggle for some reason.
- 8:00We just need those jobs to exist in general because I do think some other jobs inevitably
- 8:05are going to go away.
- 8:07We need to be at the forefront of that.
- 8:08Go ahead.
- 8:08Yeah, I was going to say I have a sort of not in law, but someone who's related to someone
- 8:14who's related, whatever, who just got a 10 year guaranteed gig at a data center near
- 8:20San Antonio and it's a high paying job.
- 8:24He's moving his family there.
- 8:25He's going to buy property there.
- 8:29We've got to play this out, folks.
- 8:33We've got to bring jobs back.
- 8:35We've got to convince people that government is not there to pay their way.
- 8:44Is there for protection?
- 8:48It's sort of like how I feel in local money about cops.
- 8:53Right?
- 8:53Let's take care of the cops and the firefighters.
- 8:57Let's pick up the damn garbage.
- 8:59I have recommended multiple times to the mayor.
- 9:02I've been listening to you all the time, obviously, but I
- 9:05recommended many times that we need to privatize our garbage
- 9:09service. You know how much the battle would be to get Houston's
- 9:15garbage service now? There are technologies now that can
- 9:20redo this stuff. We could get everybody hired at this company,
- 9:24whatever. There would be a multi-billion dollar fight to
- 9:29get the contract, which would help us with our debt issues and our spending issues.
- 9:36Just flood control.
- 9:38It's not that complicated.
- 9:40No, no, it's not.
- 9:42Honestly, and flood control is just such, it's so messy.
- 9:45It's so terribly done right now that you have to beg for something to happen to change it.
- 9:49And honestly, and this goes back to what you were saying before, Wayne was at an event
- 9:52last night speaking to local Republicans in, I think, the Southwest side of Houston and
- 9:57And the discussion very quickly for you and for the people you were talking to there became
- 10:02there are issues that we're not talking about that we should be talking about, and there's
- 10:06a lack of focus on a more local level that's just missing.
- 10:09I did sense a sort of lack, not lack, that people are nervous and they're talking defensively.
- 10:20And that's, I think the mistake we're making is that we should be on the offense.
- 10:27These are the people that caused the problem we're trying to fix.
- 10:35We have done a lot of great things.
- 10:38Yeah, Trump has done a lot of things that he promised he would do.
- 10:43I know people are all freaked out about gas.
- 10:46I filled in the mic.
- 10:48I wrecked my car, of course, and I was filling in the red car.
- 10:51It was expensive, right?
- 10:53And I even noticed it, right?
- 10:54I didn't like cry at the pump, but I noticed it.
- 10:58So I get the frustration, but there are so many positives.
- 11:02Right.
- 11:04Well, I get the whole trans thing, but I want to see us end with a more positive message
- 11:10of what's coming because of what we've done.
- 11:13Yeah.
- 11:13Well, you know what's interesting too is this message that Trump hasn't done enough in two
- 11:17years is powerful enough to get people to vote on the left.
- 11:21And yet Republicans haven't been in control of Harris County and Harris County has been
- 11:25struggling for over a decade and it's not enough to motivate people here on the right
- 11:30to push our side to take power. If a two-year timeline is all you give to
- 11:35Trump, why have we given a 15-year timeline to Democrats in Harris County?
- 11:40That's the question I have. I don't think we have an answer. I don't know. We'll take a break. We'll come back.
- 11:45Alright, it's the Mob Guys on AM700K's YouTube Colborneers Day. Wayne D'Otiofino, both here and trying to save America one robot at a time.
- 11:59Yeah, that's true. All right. You were talking off the air about The Story Is, a CNN show
- 12:04hosted by Eli. He's got an X in it.
- 12:08I think it's Alex.
- 12:09Alex. Okay. Elex Michaelson, who is talking about-
- 12:12Well, I usually like.
- 12:14Tell me why you like him first. I want to understand that, because I don't watch a lot
- 12:17of CNN.
- 12:18I have thought that it's just kind of a West Coast-y kind of interesting take on the news.
- 12:25I like news. I can watch news 24 hours a day. I mean, I watch
- 12:32Rarely, do I watch anything other than football and baseball and news that's that's me
- 12:38Sure, right. Sure. I don't watch a lot of shows
- 12:41I just a few I like but I don't really do that. I like to watch the news at night
- 12:45I like to go to sleep with the news
- 12:46I actually leave my TV on because the first thing I want to hear in the morning. Mm-hmm is the sound of what happened
- 12:54I don't feel like what's going on in the world when I wake up.
- 12:58It's really important.
- 12:59Even though it may have nothing to do with anything I'm working on, it does shape my
- 13:04view of what I'm doing.
- 13:06I normally like the guy because I think he's pretty cool, but I really thought he went
- 13:11off the rails.
- 13:14Look, I get it if they were producing evidence, but to say everything is a big fat lie and
- 13:23where people should be sued.
- 13:24He said there should be lawsuits filed over this.
- 13:28That's crazy.
- 13:29Look, just because the candidate says denies it,
- 13:33and I'm not even really sure he actually denied it,
- 13:36but let's say he denied it, that's not evidence.
- 13:39No, it is not.
- 13:40I mean, in my business, I don't know too many
- 13:43public officials I'll walk up to and I say,
- 13:45what about this?
- 13:45They go, you know what, Wayne, you're right.
- 13:47I did give the contract to my cousin, Vinny, right?
- 13:51Even though he's never done this before, but you know, made a dollar contract, I gave it to him.
- 13:58Nobody does that. Everybody says that's not true, and I find out a lot that they're lying to me.
- 14:03Look, people lie. It's breaking news on the mob guys.
- 14:08By the way, we haven't mentioned something. I see that Elex Michaelson just covered this, or Elex Michaelson, excuse me, just covered this yesterday.
- 14:15I'm probably not going to play the audio. It looks like it's an eight-minute clip. But Ilhan Omar's house got raided, and we haven't mentioned that.
- 14:21We didn't mention it yesterday on the show.
- 14:23I don't know what you want to say.
- 14:24Was that for Columbus Day?
- 14:25Was that a Columbus Day gift?
- 14:28The funniest thing I saw on social media was a picture of President Trump holding up an
- 14:32UNO reverse card because he had his own home rated and then he rated somebody else's.
- 14:37But they are looking for evidence of all kinds of fraud, including did she marry her brother
- 14:43and commit some kind of fraud that illegally got her into this country in the first place
- 14:47or got her citizenship in this country.
- 14:48I don't know what will come from this. I do want to ask you the question
- 14:53Obviously somebody thought the raid was appropriate
- 14:56Well a judge signed up on it right judge side up right
- 14:59So do you think this is something that the left can use the way that I think it
- 15:04Valuably helped Trump to convince people that he was under attack
- 15:10Yeah, I look I think the Omar thing the Iran thing is is good because I
- 15:17I think a lot of people, even people in the middle, think she's not for us, that she wants
- 15:24a very different America than we do.
- 15:28So I think folks, I don't care if her house got raided, right?
- 15:32I mean, whatever.
- 15:34Obviously, a judge signed off on a warrant that was presented evidence.
- 15:40It must have been a judge that was not some right wing judge because otherwise you would
- 15:47already be hearing about it, right?
- 15:49And we go, ah, that was a Trump judge, man.
- 15:51It's all part of a big conspiracy.
- 15:53A lot of times there are investigations that start and have been going on before Trump
- 15:59even got into office.
- 16:02And I just think this immediate, oh, it's revenge.
- 16:08That's the new defense now, right?
- 16:10Yeah.
- 16:10We thought anyone was intact.
- 16:11They just say it's political.
- 16:12I'm getting ready to do a number of stories on the Fort Bend district attorney, Brian
- 16:17Middleton.
- 16:17He's one of five Soros prosecutors.
- 16:22I was hired by a political campaign.
- 16:26His opponent hired me.
- 16:29People are going to say, wow, your opponent hired you.
- 16:32You're just going to go out and do a hatchet job on him.
- 16:34Well, actually, we were told certain things.
- 16:37I already knew certain things existed and we investigated those things and I think what we found is
- 16:43Disqualifying for mr. Middleton Wow, I think mr. Middleton is as
- 16:48Violated the ethics of his office. That's what I think and you'll see it play out if you watch our site over the next three days
- 16:54And did his opponent hire me to investigate? Yeah, you needed help
- 17:00Yeah
- 17:00And we're gonna say that they had us now
- 17:03We don't often talk about who hired us because it doesn't matter.
- 17:06And just like my story, the campaign hasn't seen my story.
- 17:13It's going to be aired because I wrote it.
- 17:17I decided what to say.
- 17:19What about what you do and who asks you to do this changes facts?
- 17:24Nothing.
- 17:24Nothing can change facts and information.
- 17:27And if what you do is report facts and information, I love that you barely ever tell us who actually
- 17:32pays for this stuff because I don't care and people shouldn't care.
- 17:36All that should matter is that I judge your reporting, the multi Emmy award winning Wayne
- 17:40Dolcefino on whether or not it seems true.
- 17:43And if I think it's true, then I'm glad that you told me about it.
- 17:46If I think it's false, then I guess I can dismiss it, but there's really nothing else
- 17:49you need to do there.
- 17:51And we've been doing that.
- 17:52Go ahead.
- 17:52Yes, we give everybody a chance to talk to us like the DA wouldn't sit down for an on
- 17:57camera interview with me.
- 17:58And so he had a bike ride for domestic violence victims that's been going on before you got there at seven o'clock in the morning on a
- 18:05Saturday and I sent my people over there to say hi
- 18:09We're gonna get look. Here's the message my message to everyone out there
- 18:15We are going to find you if we want to find you. I always tell people when I call them
- 18:21look, why don't you sit down like a grown person, like across a table and just
- 18:27answer the questions because I'd rather not have to chase you.
- 18:32It's time consuming.
- 18:34Um, I don't run like I used to.
- 18:36Sure.
- 18:36Right.
- 18:37So I, I'd rather not have that moment, but I'm cool with having that moment
- 18:43because people have a right to hear from you.
- 18:47There are races all over this area, the local people, people don't even pay attention.
- 18:54There are people I know that don't even know there's an election.
- 18:56Well, let me ask you if the reason why is they think that people can't win.
- 19:00Is the reason that people dismiss local elections, especially in a place like Harris County,
- 19:04that no matter what you do, you think there's enough people that are showing up and punching
- 19:07D as far as just down the ballot and not even paying attention to what's going on?
- 19:12Yeah, but Harris County, and again, the demographics are changing, right?
- 19:16But Harris County up until a few years ago was still somewhat purpley.
- 19:21I mean, sure, we had that Democratic wave.
- 19:24And once there's a wave, it's hard to undo the wave.
- 19:27But we have all seen the results of what happens when you have only one Republican
- 19:35on the commissioner's court in Harris County, which is a county that's probably 52, 48, 48 percent Republican.
- 19:43yet we have 25% of the vote.
- 19:49Yeah, it makes no sense.
- 19:51Well, because we don't rise up.
- 19:53I mean, people who live in all these burbs in the county...
- 19:56Right? They need to rise up. Sure, they have protection. The constables are out there, right?
- 20:02But they're paying for it. You pay twice. You pay taxes. Plus, you got to hire some, you know, private security or the constables to protect your neighborhood.
- 20:13Sure.
- 20:14Um, you, you're, you're, you're developer major neighborhood look nice, but then you
- 20:19get out of the road and it's like pothole party.
- 20:23Right.
- 20:24Or you, or you know that, that the next big flood we have is just going to be moved somewhere
- 20:31else.
- 20:32Maybe we're still going to have it.
- 20:34Yeah.
- 20:34Oh yeah.
- 20:35So we're just spending money over hand over foot.
- 20:39I don't personally see the results of it, but it's our own fault because we should rise
- 20:47up and say, we don't want to spend all this money.
- 20:52I got bills to pay.
- 20:54You're right.
- 20:55The voter turnout in a midterm election is always the biggest problem.
- 20:58Voter turnout at a local level is always a big problem.
- 21:00People don't do it.
- 21:01And again, I want to repeat something that I was saying just before the break of the
- 21:04first hour is it's amazing that the message of your life isn't going as well as you thought
- 21:10it should right now.
- 21:12So you should vote and change who's in the office of president isn't strong enough of
- 21:16a message to be used at a local level because that's absolutely true at the local level
- 21:22that Harris County has given Democrats a lot of time to try to write whatever ship is and
- 21:28do whatever things they think they're going to do.
- 21:30I mean honestly if I listen to someone like Plummer right now tell me what she'll do in office if she gets elected
- 21:37How is it any different than Lena Hidalgo or anyone before go ahead? Do you people I bet you had 90% of people
- 21:44Maybe you don't even know who this woman is. She's getting ready to potentially win as the top administrator
- 21:51Yeah, look it 20 years ago when local TV was still rocking and rolling
- 21:56These tax increases would be in the news every day.
- 22:02There would be a revolt for me.
- 22:07Let's lather everybody up.
- 22:1041, let's think about it folks.
- 22:13I don't understand.
- 22:14The other thing is people do care.
- 22:17If you actually get people to pay attention to this message, if you talk about it enough,
- 22:20if we do it on this show, people are like, wait a minute, what's happening?
- 22:23It's not that they don't care as much as they're just so willfully uninformed and most of the places
- 22:29They'll go to get this information will refuse to talk about it because those places have probably seen
- 22:33That if you talk about these issues too much you get Republicans elected and they don't want Republicans elected to anything
- 22:39So they have to silence themselves on these issues or straight-up lie about them
- 22:43Yeah, look, I think it's one of the big challenges is how it is changing media environment
- 22:49Do you communicate?
- 22:52By the way, President Trump came out and said that Paxton should debate.
- 22:56I thought that was pretty interesting.
- 22:58Not only did Trump say that Paxton should debate, President Trump said that he's willing
- 23:02and ready to debate, which seems to be different than what the Paxton campaign is saying.
- 23:07I still would want to see a debate.
- 23:09I don't know if we'll get one.
- 23:10I know Tal Rico loved that since he's now apparently over his flu.
- 23:15Quick break, a lot more KSEV radio, the voice of Texas.
- 23:18And by the way, the new White House press secretary is just getting ready to have her first. Okay, cool
- 23:23We can play some of that. Katie Zacharia. Katie Zacharia. She's a devoted fan of Trump according to the media.
- 23:31I just sent a clip to Russell. It is from a Democratic strategist, Dan Turrentine, I think, or Turrentine.
- 23:39He is on a Sean Spicer show.
- 23:42So if you see what show it's on, a whole bunch of people are already going to dismiss it.
- 23:45But he actually is a Democrat and he says something in the first minute of this clip that I thought was really interesting
- 23:52Because essentially he's saying and this was yesterday
- 23:55I think afternoon when he was when he was talking about that
- 23:58Oh, you know what? I actually forgot we have a phone call on hold that we're supposed to get to yes
- 24:02Dale is on the phone. So here let me not tell you
- 24:05It might be our Dale Dale I really I even talked to you during the news break and then we didn't get John
- 24:12I'm really sorry. I got distracted. What would you like to say, Dale?
- 24:17That's okay. I've been drinking coffee and watching MSNBC with the sound down in the cap.
- 24:22There you go. But I don't really have much new to say. I just wanted to call and see if I could
- 24:28get Jimmy and George all stirred up like yesterday. Well, what do you want to say? Go ahead. Say you
- 24:34got nothing that you can try to throw out there that you think will get everybody else mad?
- 24:40Well, actually, I think that yesterday was a teachable moment.
- 24:44And I'm going to get serious.
- 24:46I think it goes to one of the problems in this country today.
- 24:49People want to talk about the polarization.
- 24:53Sure.
- 24:53Well, if you remember yesterday, you and I are not going to agree on the Talarico deal.
- 24:58We have your sources to prove what you think.
- 25:00I have my sources.
- 25:01Right.
- 25:02But we had a pretty civil conversation.
- 25:05Oh, yeah, we did.
- 25:05Right?
- 25:06Wouldn't you agree?
- 25:06We did.
- 25:07Yes, I absolutely do.
- 25:08Jimmy and George got on, and this is a problem
- 25:11on the left and the right.
- 25:13And Jimmy and George got on,
- 25:14they really didn't talk about Talarico.
- 25:16What was their main subject of conversation?
- 25:18You.
- 25:19Yeah, I was just using it.
- 25:20How stupid I was and how evil,
- 25:21and I think that's a problem.
- 25:23I think that most guys need to learn to-
- 25:25Can I, yeah, I think this is-
- 25:27I think this is a really interesting point, Dale.
- 25:29I see that it's an interesting point.
- 25:31I do wanna ask you kind of about it though,
- 25:33because I'm curious about something.
- 25:35Do you think sometimes, and this is something I've asked a lot of my liberal friends, that
- 25:41you can see the bias in the majority of media that people on the right are exposed to and
- 25:47get a little angrier about?
- 25:49Because the mass messaging is one-sided.
- 25:53And I'll give you a different example than, say, news media.
- 25:56My wife still loves award shows.
- 25:58She loves them, all of them, the Grammys, the Emmys, the Oscars, whatever it is.
- 26:03Wayne's, you know, making faces.
- 26:06She would be so impressed, Wayne, by the way,
- 26:07if she went over to your place and saw all those Emmys,
- 26:10because my wife loves that stuff.
- 26:12But when I watch these award shows, Dale,
- 26:14I'm inundated sometimes with political messaging
- 26:16from the left, and I don't want that.
- 26:18When I watch late night television talk shows,
- 26:21it's overwhelmingly on the left.
- 26:23And so I'm not trying to forgive the behavior
- 26:25of civility going a little bit away,
- 26:28but can you see the anger fermenting on one side
- 26:31because of the lack of comparable discussion?
- 26:36Well, you know, back in the sixties and seventies when Wayne and I were growing up, you're probably
- 26:42when you had three networks, you know, ABC, CBS, NBC.
- 26:47Yes.
- 26:47That may have been an argument.
- 26:50I think that may have been a valid point.
- 26:52But now I think there is many conservatives, you know, if you don't want to watch MSNBC,
- 26:57just watch Fox News.
- 26:58You know, there's newsmax.
- 27:00So I think that the conservatives have media outlets that they can go to.
- 27:08They absolutely can.
- 27:09They absolutely can.
- 27:10Go ahead, Wayne.
- 27:11That's not the point, though, Dale.
- 27:13The reality is we have created media silos that have narratives, right?
- 27:20If I want to hear 24 hours of how bad Republicans and Donald Trump and conservatives are, I
- 27:27watch CNN, right?
- 27:29If I want to hear the opposite side, I watch Fox.
- 27:34That doesn't help the country.
- 27:37It just, in my view, makes people madder.
- 27:41If I watch three hours of Fox, my level of thinking that a lot of people on the left
- 27:47are stupid, are idiots, are freeloaders, are lazy, want the world paid, want everyone to
- 27:55pay for their stuff.
- 27:56That doesn't help us figure out the best way forward.
- 28:01Well, and more so, and I want to add this to what Wayne said, and then I want to let
- 28:04you talk again, Dale.
- 28:06I don't think it should be that hard for me to get away from politics.
- 28:10I'm not saying that as a conservative, I want to go turn on Fox when I'm watching late night
- 28:14TV in order to get the other side.
- 28:17I want no politics, and there's very few places that do that now.
- 28:22Yeah.
- 28:24It's all about politics.
- 28:25Unfortunately, I'm afraid that ship is failed. I think people are so far deep into their silos that they don't want to come out.
- 28:35I mean, from the conservative friends I have, they don't want to come out. And the liberal friends also, I mean, I think everybody's convinced that whatever side you're on, the other side is wrong.
- 28:47And instead of saying, okay, well, we're going to sit down and we're going to disagree about politics.
- 28:53But at the end of the day, like y'all three seem like somebody, you know, we'd argue about politics.
- 28:57And at the end of the day, we would have said, hey, let's go have a beer.
- 29:00Yes. Like they used to.
- 29:02But I just, I think that's gone, unfortunately.
- 29:05And it's kind of sad because everything is painted in black.
- 29:10Everything's black and white now.
- 29:12Well, it is.
- 29:13everything. But it's also disintegrating a lot of
- 29:17families. I will tell you within my own personal family,
- 29:20there are failures that have resulted in members of the
- 29:25family not communicating with other members of the family
- 29:31because of this political thing. And it's because no
- 29:37affairs scale, but because you know, I see my nice guy. I
- 29:43I think some of the things you guys said, not all of it.
- 29:47Not Dale specifically.
- 29:49Some of the best things.
- 29:49No, not you.
- 29:50I'm not.
- 29:51Dale, like I said, he's a good guy.
- 29:53But I gotta be honest, when all of us Republicans and conservatives get together, we think you
- 29:59all are crazy.
- 30:01Well, it's the-
- 30:27It's true.
- 30:31to do the things to fix the problems that you're probably happy they're talking about.
- 30:36When you hear that things are too expensive, what on that side convinces you they're actually
- 30:41going to fix that?
- 30:43Sure.
- 30:43Well, tell me the thing that Democrats are going to do to lower prices.
- 30:49Well, you know, that is kind of a hard question.
- 30:51In my world, if I was elected president, I'd stop doing anything with Iran.
- 30:57I'd pull everything out, maybe get the gas prices down.
- 30:59And I would, uh, uh, do away with all the tariffs, but then that's easier said and done.
- 31:07Uh, what I, what I would say is I think what the Democrats have in their favor
- 31:11is when Trump got elected in 2024, it was, uh, we don't know if we like Trump,
- 31:18but things are so bad.
- 31:19Let's let's give him a shot.
- 31:22Let's give Trump a shot.
- 31:23If Biden screwed everything up.
- 31:24And I think that's what the, I think that's what y'all are running into now.
- 31:28Just like could it be any like I asked it talk about putting somebody on the spot
- 31:32I asked a conservative friend of mine the other day. I said, okay, tell me how
- 31:39Things would have been worse if Kamala Harris would have won the election
- 31:43And you know, he really didn't he couldn't come up with an ad. Oh, I think
- 31:47Wayne do you want to go first? Yeah, so we have open borders, right?
- 31:52We would president that no one on the world stage would respect or fear
- 31:58She would talk in circles. We would have word salad all the time
- 32:02We would have we would change the name of the show from mob guys
- 32:06toss a salad
- 32:10She is not that smart. Yeah, she's just simply not yeah, that's my sorry
- 32:17Well, we're not here well, I mean, no, no, that's my deal
- 32:21I imagine you can go back and forth and say the same thing about Trump.
- 32:24The point I was making though, and I thought it was really interesting that one of the
- 32:27two answers you did give was the war.
- 32:30Because I believe, Wayne believes, and I think most conservatives believe that the war will
- 32:34end after this election is over.
- 32:36And the reason it will end after and not before is because a lot of the messaging from our
- 32:41country has allowed Iran to think that it can hold out and get a political win, not
- 32:46a military win that forces us to concede things that Trump is not conceding.
- 32:52And when we don't concede those, even if it costs us the election, which is a heck of
- 32:56a sacrifice in all honesty here, I think it will still end because Iran is in an untenable
- 33:01situation.
- 33:02They can't go for years in the scenario we've created for them with the ability for us to
- 33:08limit them entire, even if they limit the rest of the world from an oil production standpoint,
- 33:12we can harm them more than they can harm everybody else.
- 33:15So they will relent and give in if they don't think they have leverage from now until November
- 33:20Yeah, I think the only way to get there is to let them have November pass. Go ahead Wayne
- 33:24No, I was gonna say that it this idea that let's just leave
- 33:30Yeah, right. Let's play that out. Yeah, we just leave and then the Iranians gonna say well the Americans are gone
- 33:38Let's just let's just let everybody use the straight-up. Oh, we actually have more calls by the way
- 33:43Yeah, they're gonna jack up the prices of oil forever.
- 33:47It is too late for that, as Dale said, the ship has sailed.
- 33:52Let's finish them off if they don't want to make a deal.
- 33:56Yes.
- 33:56And let's have some-
- 33:59It will be a defining point of Trump's second term,
- 34:01the legacy of it, is the success in Iran,
- 34:03if it goes past the election and we get what we want.
- 34:07We have Mike, we have Marco, we have one line open,
- 34:09I think, but we've called her lit up.
- 34:11Sorry if I wasn't paying attention earlier. I will get to him now on the voice of Texas voice of Texas
- 34:16I'm just gonna start calling it the Wayne and Craig show even though he said we don't need to change the name
- 34:19He has Wayne Dolcefino. I am Craig Coglianese. We have full phone lines. So we should get to the calls
- 34:24Let's do Mike first calling in about the Senate race. Mike. What do you want to say?
- 34:30Well, I've been listening to you guys and I want to talk a little step back just a minute cuz I agree with something you said
- 34:37that
- 34:38This war is not going to end till after the election.
- 34:41And you're right about that.
- 34:42Your analysis is 100% safe.
- 34:45I believe that that's going to be the cost of the Congress.
- 34:49The House has gone, in my opinion.
- 34:52I've been tracking politics for 40 years.
- 34:56In this condition, the way we're in now, the House has gone by 15 or 20 votes.
- 35:00I think you're right.
- 35:01To the Democrats.
- 35:01Democrats. The Senate is 50 50 right now, even places like Kansas. Republicans are only
- 35:09polling about five points ahead. And gentlemen, they have elected a Democrat in Kansas since
- 35:14the 30s. So I agree. The house looks bad. The house looks bad. The Senate is a toss
- 35:21up. Sure. Main number one cause right now, the Senate is gas prices. They're starting
- 35:27to emerge in the polls. Those low-income voters don't have had seen their gas
- 35:34spending on gasoline go up 50 to 75 percent depending on the part of the
- 35:39country you're in. They don't have money to buy the things they would like to buy
- 35:44for their kids and it's affecting them and it's affecting men on food. If I
- 35:50graded the war is not going to end it's going to cost us the Senate. Let me say
- 35:53one more thing about the Senate. If we lose the Senate, we lose the ability to
- 35:58put judges in office, which is extremely important. We have to carry
- 36:04Texas Senate seats because if we don't, we're going to lose the Senate for sure.
- 36:09That's why it's so important to put aside any petty differences that
- 36:14Republicans have from Cornyn and Paxton and vote for Paxton.
- 36:23It's crucially important.
- 36:25Well, and if people are annoyed about the stupid left-leaning commercials that we're
- 36:30getting right now from the California money that's flooded into this election, it'll get
- 36:33worse if Talarico actually wins.
- 36:35We'll have California money trying to influence even deeper races into this state in ways
- 36:41that just seem awful.
- 36:42Is there anything you want to say to that, Wayne?
- 36:43No, I just totally agree, man.
- 36:45I'm totally agree with your call.
- 36:46100% on board with you, Mike.
- 36:47Great call.
- 36:48All right, let's move on, because I know we're running out of time.
- 36:50Let's get to Marco.
- 36:51Marco is online. What do you want to say, Marco?
- 36:55I'm going to try and touch on real things and three things real fast. One, both of you
- 36:59talking about the most of the bias still on the left and Wayne talking about the silo.
- 37:06We've got one silo primarily, you know, it's box, but you've got all the other silos.
- 37:11That's the problem. And these silos have been bluncheoning and bluncheoning.
- 37:15And I don't know why so many people, if they don't listen to those stations anyway, are
- 37:22letting the one thing about the gas prices throw out all the positive things and other
- 37:27things have been accomplished because the gas still wasn't as high as it was under them.
- 37:31And the obvious thing that you guys keep pointing out and everybody should be aware, you go
- 37:36back to them, you're going to go right back to what caused all this in the first place.
- 37:40open borders, all these high price things, whether they push through Medicare and all these other things, and we're gonna go under.
- 37:50We're just literally gonna go under.
- 37:53I agree.
- 37:54So, I mean, how can so many people, you know, look at the one thing about gas prices and say everything else that's gonna come to the G.P.A. GDP, the job market, the trillions of dollars that's being invested into the country,
- 38:08all these other things and still say you want to go back to them.
- 38:13I mean, it just boggles my mind.
- 38:16Well, right, because Marco, the gas prices won't go down,
- 38:18and all that other stuff you said will go away.
- 38:20Things will get worse and gas prices will stay high.
- 38:21Right.
- 38:23Yeah, and just real quick, I just want to say, Marco is absolutely right.
- 38:27The last three weeks of the campaign, we have taken the trans thing like so much.
- 38:35Yeah.
- 38:35Right?
- 38:35Yeah.
- 38:36But we have to show people what we've done.
- 38:41This is a proof of performance time.
- 38:44You haven't done it all.
- 38:46But there are some really good things happening in this country.
- 38:50Marco, you got a lot of noise on the line.
- 38:52So yep, we've got to go.
- 38:53Keep continuing.
- 38:54There's really good things.
- 38:55There's some really great things.
- 38:57Sometimes you need to remind people.
- 39:01Sure, gas prices are too high.
- 39:03Right, but we're fighting a battle for the future for our children. We have we have done so many good things
- 39:10We have Marion on the line to Marion. What do you want to say?
- 39:14Hello, hello, you're on you're on KTV radio the mob guys
- 39:18Hi, um, so my maiden name's monobanos. I feel like a mob girl. Oh
- 39:23Hey, welcome to the show go ahead
- 39:28Yeah, so I'm at
- 39:30Wayne last night at the meeting and my question is y'all are talking about
- 39:35money coming in for races on local City Council Alejandra Salinas brought in so
- 39:42much money from out of state for local City Council she raised over $700,000
- 39:48Wayne I'm not Wayne Anthony Walsh
- 39:52From Houston Public Media did an article way in the beginning of the race when they first came out with campaign stuff.
- 39:59She had 280 something thousand dollars. 200,000 of it was from out of state, like right from the bat.
- 40:08Her law firm, Sussman Guffrey, she said, was the one that donated most of the money, $2,000 for partner at a time.
- 40:15This is for local city council. It's for a position that pays $80,000.
- 40:21donating her salary to her staff. Her current chief of staff is making a
- 40:29hundred and eighty nine thousand dollars. Her communications director that shows up,
- 40:35he's making like seventy eight thousand I think and the other two people on her
- 40:39staff are both making right around a hundred. So my question is how does
- 40:44someone fight or go against or run against that when that money is
- 40:50flooding in for a local city council's rate.
- 40:54Wayne, go ahead.
- 40:54When she's raising...
- 40:56Yeah, look, the reality is,
- 41:00and look at George Soros' money in Fort Bend County,
- 41:03for instance, he funded about $700,000 to get the DA,
- 41:09Brian Middleton elected in Fort Bend County,
- 41:11and police groups are starting to really complain
- 41:15about what's happening in Fort Bend County.
- 41:16The sad reality of our politics is you either have to be really rich to run.
- 41:25I guess the only positive is social media is not near as expensive to do.
- 41:29You can get on social media every day and rant.
- 41:33I sometimes just sit down at my table and just rant for a minute.
- 41:40Candidates need to start doing their own thing.
- 41:42It's not cheap, but it's also a way to reach people.
- 41:47The news doesn't care about politics locally.
- 41:51You will rarely see stories about the news.
- 41:55Sure, commissioners raise property taxes and they do that story, but they moved on, right?
- 42:00There's nobody really digging into why the hell we have to raise taxes, 41% in three
- 42:06years.
- 42:07I mean...
- 42:08Yeah.
- 42:08Yeah.
- 42:10So the answer is there is no answer.
- 42:14It's very hard when, especially on the left, and especially because she attacks ICE, that
- 42:22money will flow in.
- 42:25And the only answer to money flowing in is to get other money to flow in.
- 42:29Some of these local Republican candidates in Harris County, businesses are not really
- 42:34stepping up.
- 42:36People are not really stepping up, in part because they're afraid of the result this
- 42:39time, but also because there's just not a lot of money.
- 42:42We look at the Harris County Republican Party.
- 42:44They should be every day out there talking about this taxes, talking about Lesley Briones
- 42:50and his staff.
- 42:51The Salinas campaign that you're talking about, is that for the race that she won earlier
- 42:54this year?
- 42:55And I think her term ends in 2028.
- 42:58So if she's pulling in money now, she's not even actually technically running in the midterm
- 43:02election.
- 43:03She's actually up for election in two years. So that's even more surreal to me that you could conti that you could point to
- 43:09How this money's flowing over here that money's flowing over there and it's probably
- 43:13Going about the last I was talking about the last election. I don't know what she's doing this year, but I'm assuming
- 43:19Right. I'm assuming she's gonna raise money again and it's gonna be crazy again. So yeah, absolutely
- 43:23Well, thank you for the call Marion a Jeff. We're sorry. We didn't get to you
- 43:26We had another person on hold Jeff gas prices and we're just out of time as we can't get to him today
- 43:31Jeff calling tomorrow. I'd be a part of the mob guys. We'll
- 43:35take Jeff first thing. Okay, we'll take Jeff first thing.
- 43:37Great way to end the show all calls at the end of the show.
- 43:39Alright, Wayne, have a good day. I'll see you later. Everybody
- 43:42else. I can't see the radio the voice of taxes the mob guys
- 43:45every morning from seven to nine o'clock.
