- 0:00Here's your noodle. Thank you, had some bigger
- 0:02noodles than I'm used to. Yeah, I'm sure.
- 0:07Oh, it almost sounded like you you had experience or something.
- 0:11But here we are. We're in a pool.
- 0:15We're in a pool BDP. We got some sunburns.
- 0:21Yeah. And oh, yes, yes, that might be
- 0:23the thummy. That might be the thummy.
- 0:25So let's go ahead and talk. We have a podcast.
- 0:28We're in Florida, your home state, Brianna.
- 0:32Matt just went up my nose. Yeah, and that's her ass.
- 0:37Oh. Boy, this is going to be out of.
- 0:39Control when you did that and that flew right into your mouth.
- 0:45But anyway, well, I'm here with the two twins I'm between.
- 0:49Stay in the Camberburn. I'm like James between two
- 0:52twins. This looks like it could be
- 0:53another type of content here in about 5.
- 0:55Minutes, but it's you know what I mean.
- 0:57Well, maybe stay tuned till the end.
- 0:59Stay tuned till the end, you never know.
- 1:00So stay tuned. Also this pod real quick
- 1:04sponsored by Badlands Gear Beast Broadheads, both of which you
- 1:08can use Code Team DD and save money on their sites.
- 1:11I didn't know on on on broadheads.
- 1:13I felt like we'd never. It's brand new.
- 1:14They just, they just texted me and said, hey, we fired it up to
- 1:17help support the people. And that's what I'm about.
- 1:20I'm yeah. I love the people.
- 1:21Maybe more than anybody, yeah. I mean, save people some money,
- 1:24you know? So with that being said, we just
- 1:27filmed a very cool video that wasn't planned to be filmed.
- 1:31Yeah, why don't we talk about this a little?
- 1:34Well, have we just kind of organically had the opportunity
- 1:39to help my brother learn how to shoot a bow?
- 1:42And so he pulled out my bow. I knew I had checked his eye
- 1:46dominance in Christmas and he's left eye dominant.
- 1:49And Brianna's normally not in the state and light bulb, she's
- 1:53here so. We whipped out my bow.
- 1:56Whipped out Brianna's bow, let him try left-handed bow and it
- 1:59just started clicking by the second shot and was very excited
- 2:02about it and then. So I gave him my bow.
- 2:07Which which I want to touch on that real quick because first of
- 2:11all, the everything about it I loved.
- 2:13I love that because first, the suggestion was that he shoots my
- 2:18bow and I'm like, bro, you going to slap the shirt out of his
- 2:21arm? My arms are way too long.
- 2:23That's not going to work. And also, it's probably not
- 2:25great to start with the 72 LB hammer, even though that bow
- 2:28draws so easy. Like, I think you'd be just
- 2:30fine. Yeah, but Brent, add her bow and
- 2:34she goes try mine, which of course is going to be a little
- 2:36short, but he's a short king, so not too short.
- 2:39And but easy to pull back only 48.
- 2:41Pounds right so he pulls it back and right away as soon as he got
- 2:45it back and I could see him like trying to see through the peep.
- 2:48I was like oh he's good he needs to shoot left-handed.
- 2:51So we do left-handed and first shot pretty mid.
- 2:56Not not the best but the second time dude he brought came over
- 2:59straight to anchor look great. Got the nose down eventually.
- 3:04Got his nose, the string, got his nose on that nose button and
- 3:08drilled a shot and then Brianna out of left field.
- 3:12Nobody knew. Nobody was expecting this.
- 3:14She she says, hey, you can have my bow.
- 3:18How cool was that? Yeah, I know.
- 3:20Very. Sweet of her.
- 3:21What made you just off the RIP just like, you know, Yeah, where
- 3:25did that? Yeah, where did?
- 3:25That come well, it was like I know he'd like contemplated
- 3:28jokingly sometimes like getting a bow and when people do that
- 3:33it's like, ha, it's sometimes it's a big commitment to a
- 3:35purchase. Even you know, a a budget bow is
- 3:38is a commitment as far as the cost goes, and we know that we
- 3:44have the virtue sitting at home just came in getting, you know,
- 3:47about to get set up when we get back and what do we always don't
- 3:52do with our bows? It's like, oh, we're going to do
- 3:54it Instagram giveaway or we're going to sell it on eBay And
- 3:57it's like we just save him some money right now by giving it
- 4:03away. Like it's pretty easy.
- 4:06And it's not a, you know, if it were like my Eva, it'd be a
- 4:08different story. I'd be like, Hey, you can have
- 4:10it if you want it because it is a female's bow, but the, the
- 4:15core Sr. is a, is a flagship bow that, you know, is meant for
- 4:23anybody, not just women. So it's perfect bow for us.
- 4:29It was a flagship bow or it was one.
- 4:31But no, it still is still one of the flagstrips.
- 4:34Yep, and. I mean it's.
- 4:36Perfect for a starter in shooting because one it's
- 4:39Bowtech. So you know, you can hate on it
- 4:42all you want, but it's settable for anybody.
- 4:45So right now after this pod we can go change the draw length
- 4:48form and and throw in one of James's arrows because mine will
- 4:51become too short and just double check that the the draw works
- 4:55out for him. You can only do that on a bow
- 4:58tech and then not. Only like Lola and bows, you can
- 5:02do that. But as far as like a flagship
- 5:03where you can really adjust that, Yeah.
- 5:05And I'm not trying to make that an ad of just a cool moment, but
- 5:08it is one of the unique parts about the bow.
- 5:11That's what I'm saying. And then on top of it being that
- 5:13I am a female so I only got 50 LB limbs on it.
- 5:16It's great to start perfect just because if you don't have
- 5:19someone who's around you daily to like guide you, it's really
- 5:24tough to throw poundage into a bow that I know.
- 5:27So as fast as he whipped that back, he could easily throw 60
- 5:30or 70 LB limbs on there and be fine.
- 5:33But then you're going to give up learning form, you're going to
- 5:35give up learning technique, all to try to yank that bow back.
- 5:39Right now, he could yank it back no problem and work on making
- 5:43sure he's shooting correctly. And then down the road, you
- 5:46know, Brittany helps him. You don't find it, the heavier
- 5:50set of limbs and then you go and get him thrown on there was like
- 5:54easy day. Like I have a set of System X
- 5:56strings that are meant we're meant to go on it when we get
- 5:59back. So I'm just going to overnight
- 6:00ship them. And then you can help him go
- 6:03into the store to get like the peep actually lined up to work
- 6:07for him. I don't know.
- 6:08If you got to overnight them but you'll.
- 6:10You know also. Don't think I need to take him
- 6:11into a store to set his peep like she.
- 6:14Know how to do? It Oh yeah, just come on over to
- 6:17Brittany Outdoors, Brittany Ching Outdoors.
- 6:19And Brittany can do it for him so well.
- 6:21We'll check it out. There's there's, I think, a lot
- 6:23of pretty neat elements. But do you have the piece the
- 6:26thing to put a peep in yet? The.
- 6:28Piece to put a press. Yes, yeah, that Oh.
- 6:31That's how you put strings on. So.
- 6:34So you can just put the strings on, we're good to go see like it
- 6:37was just easy to hand it. To well here, here's what I
- 6:40think is also cool about it is I part of the reason I do what I
- 6:44do is because I like to get people into archery, new people
- 6:48and they can have a lot of fun shooting bows.
- 6:51That's what I love, and the cool part is you got someone new
- 6:54today into archery and Brittany lives close by, so you can
- 6:58actually film video series in the future, kind of tracking
- 7:02Jordan's entry into archery and setting up bow tech, all that
- 7:06stuff. And it'll be really cool for
- 7:08someone to follow because a first timer can go watch that
- 7:11series and go start to finish kind of how to get the ball
- 7:14moving. I think that's really, really
- 7:16cool. And this little raw video we
- 7:18filmed today that will throw up is definitely a very like
- 7:22organic version of how it starts for.
- 7:25Most. People a friend says, hey, try
- 7:28my bow out in the backyard. In the backyard.
- 7:30It probably doesn't fit you. It's not your poundage, it's not
- 7:33your draw length, and you might be right-handed when you're
- 7:35left-handed or left when you're right.
- 7:37It's some very and literally. It's funny how we got it like on
- 7:41camera, even though it's literally just meant it was not
- 7:44meant to be. Like it literally was just
- 7:45organic. Like hey, let me you know Jordan
- 7:47on a try one because they were talking about it and how Declan
- 7:51was shooting the little kids bow in the.
- 7:52House and whatnot. And it was like James being the
- 7:56content king was like, get the phone out.
- 7:58You can get a funny short out of this.
- 8:00And it was like film it horizontal just in case it goes
- 8:03too. Long you get a full.
- 8:05Length and then you can cut some funny shorts and then it turned
- 8:08into, oh, you know. Like.
- 8:11He would want 1. He would have fun with it.
- 8:14I don't need this bow anymore. Well, and and and another cool
- 8:18thing, I was talking to Jordan after you gave him the bow and
- 8:21you know, he's a lineman by trade, right?
- 8:24So a lot of times he's staying in a campground in a trailer,
- 8:28comes back to the trailer. It's what are you going to do?
- 8:31When I was like, good, literally you go get a, you know, block
- 8:34target and shoot at 20 yards every day.
- 8:37Like now. It gives you a hobby, something
- 8:39to do outside of just work when you're on the road.
- 8:41Like it's awesome in a bow. So easy to travel with.
- 8:44And so that's quite possibly my favorite part about the surprise
- 8:48giveaway is not just the getting somebody into it.
- 8:53Like obviously, you know, the mission is to help people
- 8:58understand the industry and help those who are interested figure
- 9:02out how to get into it. And this was kind of an accident
- 9:05version of that, but exactly you know what you want to happen,
- 9:10but not to air like anybody's business, but on the mental side
- 9:13of things, you know, when you're just all by yourself or like
- 9:18some people just kind of their head lives in like a dark space
- 9:21sometimes and a the mission, a job, an objective.
- 9:25Like a goal, the hobby. Like learning a hobby.
- 9:28Something to get better at too. So it's a.
- 9:30Measurable. You know, sometimes people's
- 9:32hobbies change all the time. I don't think there's anything
- 9:34wrong with that. But when you have a measurable
- 9:36thing that you can learn to do over time, see, you've got a
- 9:40task to develop. Tomorrow I'm going to learn to
- 9:42do this. Tomorrow I'm going to go out and
- 9:43practice this. Tomorrow I'm going to shoot a
- 9:44little farther than that. Yeah.
- 9:46And mentally, it just keeps. You shoot a tighter group at 20
- 9:49tomorrow than I did today. Like that's how I usually
- 9:52practice is I love just cranking out groups because you can
- 9:57always tighten the group unless you shoot 3 Robin Hoods, like,
- 10:01you know what I mean? It can always get better.
- 10:03So yeah, I think it's awesome. I'm really stoked for him.
- 10:07And I think he'll, I could tell he's fired up, you know what I
- 10:10mean? I can tell he's fired up.
- 10:11And to me, that's so sick. That's the whole point of why I
- 10:15do the videos. It is for situations like that.
- 10:18Yep, just a little ignite, you know, a little ignition, little
- 10:22flame inside of somebody, you know.
- 10:25Yeah. Yeah, now we did.
- 10:28For the first time you played our target games, our target
- 10:33face games. So we played baseball, beer pong
- 10:35and golf. We kind of made a fun medley.
- 10:37We didn't play one start to finish.
- 10:39We did like a round here, round here round here and then ended
- 10:42up having some OTI will preface it and say that Britt shot the
- 10:48best I've seen her shooting in a while because she shot really,
- 10:52really good. Made me go overtime like twice.
- 10:57And to be honest, when I drained that triple in the final, I told
- 11:02her I thought for sure she was cooked.
- 11:04I was like she not hitting this triple and then she did only do
- 11:07it once. She did it three times during
- 11:10the triple, so she was solid. You did get the L, which I know
- 11:16you didn't want, but it was close.
- 11:18It could have gone either way. So what?
- 11:21I know you said you watched a video about posture that you
- 11:25think helped. Yeah.
- 11:26Tell me a little bit about. That so recently I was watching
- 11:31a Levi Morgan's putting out like a summer series.
- 11:34It kind of seems like I don't know.
- 11:35You didn't say I exactly say that, at least I didn't see, but
- 11:38seems like a summer series. Different things to help you
- 11:41hold your pen, steadier footing, proper shoes, posture, all
- 11:45different types of things. And one of them had to do with
- 11:49drawing. I'm sure you can go out and find
- 11:52the video, but basically had to do with that.
- 11:55We don't want to be sky drawing. But also instead of drawing
- 11:57perfectly level, you'll see a lot of professional shooters
- 12:01starting their draw cycle slightly pointed up so that when
- 12:05they're full at full draw, they're not yet level.
- 12:09And what they're doing is they're bringing their arms.
- 12:12They're bringing their arms down.
- 12:16Thank you, Daddy. Make sure you're in the.
- 12:18Camera keep drifting out I. See it in here?
- 12:21So they're coming to here and then bringing the bow to anchor.
- 12:27So they're settling those shoulders down and in instead of
- 12:30this flat draw, which already like has you crunched up and
- 12:35shoulder coming up? Yep.
- 12:36That's why I never understood why people do that.
- 12:38So it. Automatically looks so tight.
- 12:41So the he will openly say in the video that something has to be
- 12:45aware of is when you're hunting, you don't always have the
- 12:47opportunity to draw in certain ways.
- 12:50You know you do if you're in a blind or if you're going to
- 12:53stand in the, you know you're something's up close.
- 12:56Little movement is possible, yeah.
- 12:59But yeah, so I don't know, I just kept that in the back of my
- 13:01mind today when I was drawing, try not to stay so tight and
- 13:05kind of having a bit more of a relaxed draw and then settling
- 13:08the shoulders in. And it really did make me feel
- 13:10more steady, like the pin was moving slower and helped me kind
- 13:15of focus on the target so that I could get the shots go off kind
- 13:18of more. Now when I wanted to.
- 13:19Are you ever going to stop doing this?
- 13:22Oh, she didn't do it as bad today.
- 13:24Not as bad, but a little bit. Still, I don't know if it's
- 13:27something that's just built into your repertoire, so now you
- 13:30habitually do it. I don't know cuz I've never dry
- 13:34fired a boat so I don't know what events it would be.
- 13:37Never Yeah, I I think when I. Feel very habitual for you
- 13:43though. Cuz I always do it.
- 13:44It was when I relearned my draw cycle like 2-3 years ago and I
- 13:51don't know, just something that I was doing when I was
- 13:54reteaching myself instead of drawing like this.
- 13:57The row. Like to reach out and I'm not
- 14:01really sure where the head tilt came from or why I started doing
- 14:05that but it could. Just be a strength thing.
- 14:06Like maybe for some reason that unlocked a little strength, a
- 14:09little more strength, but but I. At the time.
- 14:11I do want to touch a little bit on the the draw thing because I
- 14:16totally agree. Obviously Levi obviously
- 14:20freaking that. Obviously Levi a freaking
- 14:23legend. So his information's gonna be
- 14:25great. And he did.
- 14:27He did just. Follow me on Instagram.
- 14:29I will say that but maybe a collab coming soon.
- 14:32Leave a. Levi, drop a comment.
- 14:34Below, let's cook that collab. But what I agree with is by
- 14:40starting a little bit higher, another thing it does is creates
- 14:43a little more momentum in your draw.
- 14:45So it kind of gets everything moving.
- 14:47Whereas when you're coming from here, it's like you're almost
- 14:49fighting momentum. So you're creating momentum and
- 14:52then like you said, you're starting from here and coming
- 14:54down. And then if you think about it
- 14:57the opposite way, how you and your sister used to draw, by
- 15:00coming underneath, you're actually doing the opposite and
- 15:02coming upward, which creates a lot more fight and attention on
- 15:06the shoulder, more upward. So I totally agree with that and
- 15:10I've made videos on it multiple times in the past on a draw, a
- 15:15draw cycle. But that is such AI feel like
- 15:19pretty easy thing you can do, yeah, to kind of improve your
- 15:23shoulder placement when you're in a draw, you know what I mean?
- 15:27And I think it's better for your body to draw that way as well.
- 15:29Yeah. So just a little like, you know,
- 15:32my usually like when I'm riding home from work or something or
- 15:35downtime at work, I'll listen to some type of little something
- 15:38like that. Say, due to your job, were you
- 15:41about to admit to watching TV? Well, but you said listen.
- 15:46You listen. Yeah.
- 15:47Good job. Good job.
- 15:48So you just listen to a little something and that one stuck
- 15:51with me yesterday. So that's a great he's kind of
- 15:53in my head today and I don't know, maybe attribute that to no
- 15:56you shot steady your pin today. You.
- 15:57Shot really good now. Of the three games, you got a
- 16:02little taste of each one. Which one was your favorite
- 16:06would you say? I think that like the idea of
- 16:14the beer pong gang, if you were spicing it up with like some,
- 16:19you know, just regular beverages, you know, and then
- 16:23maybe the loser, like we did like sodas or something.
- 16:27Yeah. So when you play.
- 16:28The full game like a normal beer pong game, that's when it's that
- 16:32game is more fun, I think. Yeah, because also match play
- 16:35was a cool idea for that, but never done that.
- 16:38But when you are playing like competition style and doing the
- 16:42full beer pong then it is a bit more fun than just like.
- 16:46Nails also. The lighting here, so much
- 16:50better than back home, I will say.
- 16:51Like I could actually see the shaded lines around the circles
- 16:56of the cups and the space between the cups.
- 16:58It's so bright back home, like because we don't have a lot of
- 17:01cloud cover that a lot of reflection comes off of like the
- 17:05paper and that white just looks like a big white triangle.
- 17:08So I did like the fact that the paper.
- 17:11Was more visible. I think partly there's clouds
- 17:15right now. When we played in #2, we were
- 17:17also playing from closer than we usually do, that is.
- 17:19True that. Is.
- 17:21True, they give her a charity match.
- 17:22But usually we play from 30 to 40 yards.
- 17:26We were only playing at 20. But the match play to me is so
- 17:29fun because it's like OK if someone sets you have to execute
- 17:33or else like they get a point. I think that is a fun way to
- 17:36play. So what?
- 17:37You have to, I guess, continue. Yeah, we didn't actually finish.
- 17:40Right, but I think my favorite game was actually the baseball
- 17:43game. I think golf was tricky because
- 17:45those those those circles are golf are very.
- 17:48Small, I have decided to teach your renditions of that I will
- 17:51be making them. Bigger.
- 17:52I don't know if you should. I think you leave that one as
- 17:54like the 20 yard precise. Best, I think maybe making them
- 17:58just a little bigger, maybe a couple less, like one or two
- 18:00less holes would give you a little more room on the Yeah,
- 18:03well, you have nine holes. You have half a 18.
- 18:06Hole game again. I think my demonstration of
- 18:10sports today is obviously. You could still make them.
- 18:12You could make them a. Little bit.
- 18:15Think of that. Yeah, Baseball.
- 18:16I agree. I think baseball's great.
- 18:18I enjoyed learning a little bit about baseball and in doing so,
- 18:24I'm playing the game today, so that was interesting.
- 18:26Yeah, yeah. And yeah, it's fun the way you
- 18:28set it up. It's not like it is a, you know,
- 18:32baseball band, but the ideas there the, you know, the concept
- 18:37of. You know, if that was a
- 18:38rendition of the game originally, like how it really
- 18:41works is, James, it's like, I want a game that's baseball.
- 18:46And then I just go to the computer and figure out how
- 18:49would this game work with archery?
- 18:51And originally there's a rendition that included like,
- 18:55you know, three, you know, plates or bases.
- 18:59Well there is 3 bases on that. Thing but they're.
- 19:01Not really. They're not playing.
- 19:02They're not. Playing a little, yeah.
- 19:03And then it was like. No, this is like.
- 19:05It's too easy cuz you're. Just gonna blow out the whole
- 19:07how many people wouldn't be able to shoot?
- 19:09There's no different objectives like there is in baseball,
- 19:13whether you're trying to get just a.
- 19:17Single like you know, to the outfield so.
- 19:19Your person on 3rd can make it in like thinking of baseball in
- 19:23mind. So then we just changed it up a
- 19:26little. Bit to make.
- 19:27More sense to where you could either play real.
- 19:29Baseball. Roles or you couldn't and like
- 19:32you. Guys played where you actually.
- 19:33Had a pitcher and a header. Today, but the way the game is.
- 19:36Designed is you don't have. To have that so like.
- 19:40You could just pitch and hit for yourself.
- 19:43So like. You just shoot and then.
- 19:46You shoot like a you shoot. It was definitely fun the way we
- 19:48played it, Like if you have someone to shoot with, a pitcher
- 19:50of the hitter. But one thing I will say about
- 19:53the baseball game too, just kind of thinking, I love all of them.
- 19:56I, I almost think golf was maybe my favorite, but I, I really
- 19:59like them all. Beer pong I think is excellent
- 20:03if you're in the right setting. But what I love about baseball
- 20:07is because there's the home plate.
- 20:10That the pitcher has to set. You actually always are playing
- 20:15like it is a two person game or more.
- 20:18Whereas the other ones I guess beer pong 2 but like the golf
- 20:22game especially you literally could play individually.
- 20:24You can. Play golf by yourself, that's
- 20:25not. You you could play all of them
- 20:27individually if you really wanted, but the baseball game
- 20:30just by nature is like made to be a multiplayer game and that's
- 20:35why. I also like that you're looking
- 20:37at like every every in baseball inning, but in in archery, like
- 20:46every turn yeah, is different. Yeah.
- 20:49So like even though you move on to a new hole and the hole
- 20:52differentiates whether it has a birdie, so it's or a Bowie or a
- 20:56double birdie, so it gets bigger or smaller every hole you're the
- 20:59goal is really the same. It's.
- 21:00Different. Hit the middle, hit the middle
- 21:02of the circle, you know, but the baseball game is different
- 21:06because every time what it could be a whole month, it could be a
- 21:09triple, it could be a single. And so you could end up doing 3
- 21:13like you did 3 triples in a row, or you could end up running a
- 21:17single, running a double, running a home run.
- 21:20And then you're actually trying to keep baseball.
- 21:22You don't have to, but you're trying to keep baseball score.
- 21:24It's like, OK, I still got a runner on 3rd, but I just made,
- 21:28you know, I made one run in and then like, okay, I got a single.
- 21:32So now I got a player on 1st and 3rd.
- 21:34So like I have the potential if I get a home run to get three
- 21:37runs in, give them in my score 4.
- 21:40Like it's just different than normal archery.
- 21:44It's so fun and I. Brittany has no idea about
- 21:46anything. I just.
- 21:47Said but. He's thinking for a long time.
- 21:49I also love how in the bottom right there's an actual
- 21:53scoreboard, so you can play with a Sharpie in your yard and
- 21:56actually score each inning. Yeah, and that's so much fun.
- 21:59But yeah, that's exactly what I like about baseball because if I
- 22:04shoot a, you know, the way it's designed, like a home run is the
- 22:09smallest portion of home plate. So if I hit a home run, it's
- 22:14good and bad because it's harder for the opponent to hit because
- 22:18it's very small. But if they do, it's a run or
- 22:21multiple runs of people are on base.
- 22:24So both people have to show up and perform.
- 22:26Even though the home run it's small, like it's the size of
- 22:30like 1/4 to him, I still think a triple's the hardest hit.
- 22:35Which makes sense because in baseball the fewest hits of the
- 22:38year by far are triples. What is a?
- 22:41Triple-A, triple means you. Hit the ball and you run to
- 22:43third base. You're able to run to third base
- 22:45from your hit but. Just it just goes to a place,
- 22:49not a particular place but. Wherever any place it.
- 22:51Goes all the way able. To run all the way to 3rd.
- 22:53That's but, but here's why triples are rare.
- 22:56The odds of making it from home all the way to 3rd are without
- 23:00getting thrown out or tagged out or something is very low so that
- 23:05I've. Never even seen a triple.
- 23:06So that's why it's all the way in the back of the game Wheelie
- 23:09of. Course he got wheels Otani a
- 23:11beast but my point is the triple is hard to hit.
- 23:16Hard to hit. Quit quit Test Britney.
- 23:19Who's Otani play for? Shohei Otani, the biggest legend
- 23:24in sports right now. That absolutely sounds like he
- 23:28was going to be on and the New York Giants.
- 23:32That's New York Giants. Nice.
- 23:33Wrong sport, but hey, New York would be the right market, one
- 23:37of the right markets. He is actually on the Los
- 23:39Angeles Dodgers because they. Have see, I was trying to think
- 23:42of it because we were just talking about this the other day
- 23:44and he told me that that is one of the really good teams, I
- 23:48guess. And as I'm trying to think of
- 23:50that team, for some reason I thought.
- 23:51They were. So the reason the Los Angeles
- 23:54Dodgers or the New York Yankees or the New York Mets aren't a
- 23:57bad call. So New York was a pro call is
- 24:00because all three of those teams basically have unlimited.
- 24:03Amount of. Money.
- 24:05I'll do that. Do you want to take a crack at
- 24:07his contract? Just guess how many years?
- 24:09How many dollars, if you had to guess?
- 24:10Probably five years and probably $30 million.
- 24:14So his comes that's. Not enough.
- 24:16So hold on, let me let me cook. So his contract is 10 years.
- 24:20You want to do You want to change your?
- 24:23Number Now guess your number. So 10 years.
- 24:25How much money you think? You want to have years.
- 24:27That 30 million was definitely not enough, Probably 100.
- 24:31Million. OK, his contract, his contract
- 24:35is for 10 years, $700 million. Oh my God.
- 24:43What does his job? What does he do?
- 24:45He's a. Pitcher and a hitter.
- 24:46So, OK, so he better be striking everybody out.
- 24:50He pretty much. 7 Pretty much $1,000,000.
- 24:52And he's the best hitter, he. Doesn't The thing is in.
- 24:54Baseball, you don't. Do pitchers don't hit?
- 24:56Never. Well, they used to in the
- 24:58National League, but they were trashed.
- 25:00They. Only he's the best.
- 25:01He is one of the best at pitching and the best.
- 25:04He's the only one currently, right that pitches and hits.
- 25:08100% unless they bring in like Kiki.
- 25:09In all of the league. Yeah, yeah, the last person to
- 25:14do. It's also like a six foot four
- 25:16Asian. So the last person to do so that
- 25:18seems. Like what is an Asian 6 foot 4?
- 25:21So I think we've put so geez, OPI always say if I'm going to
- 25:25get cancelled because. We.
- 25:27So the last, the last person. Getting away from the camera.
- 25:31So the last person to do what Shohei does is literally Babe
- 25:36Ruth. Is that crazy?
- 25:38Like that's how much of it? When does Babe Ruth?
- 25:40Live Brittany how they answer this out?
- 25:42When did he live? I don't know.
- 25:44Time ago, yeah. Maybe 30 rallies.
- 25:47Years ago, no. No.
- 25:52Bring. Bernie to a baseball.
- 25:54They got sports. So.
- 26:00What logger? He was.
- 26:01He was alive in the he. Was like in the 30s, yeah,
- 26:03twenties, 30s. Yeah, so here.
- 26:06So here's a fun good try, though I think Britney Jean Outdoors
- 26:09will love this. So actually show his contract is
- 26:12massive as it as it is 10 years, 700 million.
- 26:15There is actually a bigger contract in baseball.
- 26:17There's a player named Juan Soto who plays for the Mets who has
- 26:23AI Think it's 16 years, 765 million.
- 26:28Now technically when you do that math, that's more.
- 26:30Year, yearly, yearly show has get more but show has should get
- 26:34more. But but he'll be.
- 26:36Able to sign another contract. After could you imagine inking a
- 26:39deal for 700 mil? No, I cannot.
- 26:42What would you do? Go home and be like, well, I
- 26:44guess we did it. Yeah, you.
- 26:46Know I would smile if I. Inked a deal for. 700.
- 26:49Dollars. We're just a bunch of humble
- 26:56Papa. We're literally in a above
- 27:01ground pool. Is this podcast cooking right
- 27:08now? So let's get back to you, James.
- 27:11Obviously we are both from this great state of Florida, so we
- 27:17are. There's no other way.
- 27:20There's no other way to do a podcast but in a pool because
- 27:25otherwise you're gonna sweat your tits off.
- 27:27So even though we're doing in the evening, so it's really
- 27:29quite pleasant outside, the storm has rolled out.
- 27:32The skies are turning blue. Thought your parents were about
- 27:36to have an aneurysm? That we're gonna get struck by
- 27:38light? No, when?
- 27:39When we're shooting out. There.
- 27:42I said bro, I've been a lot closer to lightning hunting
- 27:44before. This is the most time you've now
- 27:46spent in Florida just vacationing.
- 27:49What do you think of the Great Sunshine?
- 27:51State Yeah, yeah, I like it. I I love Saint Augustine.
- 27:55I thought it was awesome. I really liked it a lot.
- 27:58I do think it's very fluid. That James has a cousin there.
- 28:01Yeah, I do. I do.
- 28:02Yeah. So shout out to Marcy the
- 28:04legend, But no, I like it. I I think that obviously it's
- 28:10very flat for me and I'm kind of like, I love mountains and big
- 28:13country, but at the same time like the, the weather is kind of
- 28:19cooked. Let's be honest.
- 28:20It's a little bit cooked when I come out here and I'm climbing
- 28:23that tree on Brittany Jean Outdoors Channel and I'm up
- 28:26there sweating my weighing off ever.
- 28:28Seen Jim? Sweat so bro, that any and when
- 28:31I said give me the taxes like I I meant that from my soul.
- 28:35Give me the taxes, bro. California, let me let me cook.
- 28:40Let me. Take that, salon.
- 28:41At any day over those. I think you're let me, let me,
- 28:44let me cook. But I do think now there's areas
- 28:48of California that are mega cooked.
- 28:50But if you're in San Diego but the weather's undefeated, it's
- 28:54it's the best. I think it is the best weather
- 28:57year round. I'm sure for any I.
- 29:00Don't even think that's a hot take, but dropping the cost.
- 29:02Moderate temperatures. It's between 60 and 80 all year.
- 29:07Which I have grown to be used to.
- 29:09So like, and it's just a it's a different type of weather.
- 29:13So like there, like it's hot here, Yeah.
- 29:16It's hot. 85 and up, 90 plus. It was 103 the first day when we
- 29:21were when I was climbing that tree, it was 103.
- 29:24So hold on. I thought, I, I think when I was
- 29:27climbing that tree and it was 103°.
- 29:29I actually think my Johnson might have been 8 inches.
- 29:32Yeah, so anyways, but. Just just off.
- 29:37That humidity, it just makes a difference.
- 29:39So when you go to like California, Arizona, like 70,
- 29:44we've been, we've been outside where it's literally only 74° in
- 29:51California. And in Florida, 74° would be
- 29:56like, Oh my God, this is fantastic.
- 29:59Well, in California, 74° you can also be sweating your ass off in
- 30:0474°. Like without the humidity, it's
- 30:09just plain straight out. Oh geezo P.
- 30:16He just shot a load on him, Brittany.
- 30:18Oh yes, Mommy, wait. What we decided is that Florida
- 30:27is great. It's it's very nice.
- 30:32Cow Morgan so better doesn't like but.
- 30:34You know, it's not that I don't mind the heat.
- 30:36I really don't like, I'm not going to coward like I'll be out
- 30:39in the. Heat, you just get used to it.
- 30:40Really. Yep, you just get used to it.
- 30:43It's there's some days it's worse than others.
- 30:45You're just not in the mood for it.
- 30:47But I don't know. It's it's a very, it's a
- 30:50different place. It's Florida Place.
- 30:52That pole real quick. Yeah, give me that.
- 30:54Like I could tell there was some struggle bussing and Saint
- 30:56Augustine, and I'm just like, I was sweating too, but I'm like,
- 31:00you just saw in the weather. Yeah.
- 31:01Like it just is what it is like. Florida is not like.
- 31:05Florida. Florida cooks.
- 31:06I mean, obviously, like, look, I mean, is it nice to see the
- 31:11prices of poems here? Yeah, it's great.
- 31:13Is it nice to see the price of gas here?
- 31:15It's great. Is it nice to see that you have
- 31:17a swimming pool in your backyard and.
- 31:19When I go to any restaurant like get a. 5.
- 31:23Dollar Mountain, a Mountain Dew and it's 2 bucks.
- 31:26I guess that's nice, but give me the taxes, you know?
- 31:31But anyways, but no, I've had a lot of fun.
- 31:35And here's the cool part about this trip actually is initially
- 31:40it wasn't even really planned that we would bring our bows and
- 31:44just look at look at God how it works.
- 31:46Number one, brought the bows. We planned to do 1 video for
- 31:50Britney Jean Outdoors and one for me.
- 31:52We ended up coming home with three videos for Britney Jean
- 31:55outdoors, a video for the bow Disciples channel and the pod
- 32:00for the podcast. So we ended up just a bow
- 32:02giveaway and a bow giveaway. We ended up cooking on content
- 32:07and that's. All having fun in Florida.
- 32:10It was great, it was super fun. And today, you know, we went to.
- 32:13We're tired, I say you're born and retired employer like it's
- 32:19just like you work just to pay your bills, but really just want
- 32:23to like flat and play in the sun shining water and.
- 32:26Isn't that the same? Anywhere it's been on a river.
- 32:28And I guess so it depends on I guess.
- 32:30But here it's just more fun. But.
- 32:33But with that being said, I think that's going to go ahead
- 32:35and conclude the pod. But very good pod.
- 32:38Brittany Jean, What's this, your third appearance?
- 32:41Yeah. Damn guy, Jordan and then the
- 32:44group the group chat. Yeah, the one time I was in the
- 32:46group chat and the. No, I'm the one in Tennessee.
- 32:50It was a handshake. Yeah, Yeah, that's the one I
- 32:52was. That's the one I was talking
- 32:53about, yes. So yeah, your third pod,
- 32:56congratulations. And the TikTok live if you.
- 32:59Didn't really take any. Words.
- 33:01Brianna, thank you very much everyone.
- 33:03Be sure to subscribe to Britain's channel, subscribe to
- 33:07the podcast Channel 5 stars on Apple and Spotify.
- 33:11And thank you very much, been an absolute pleasure.
- 33:14And we'll see you in the next podcast, maybe in another pool.
- 33:19Bye.
