- 1:02Hello and welcome back to the Arise Women of God podcast.
- 1:06I'm your host Tamara K.
- 1:07Andersen and today we're laying out an operational battle manual to help you move from a weary mother reactive prayers to a battle ready prayer warrior standing over your home.
- 1:23Here's our plan for today's episode.
- 1:25First, we're going to talk about the supreme source of power.
- 1:29Second, the Day one promise about how quickly Heaven responds.
- 1:34Then we'll talk about wisdom from my rock bottom prayer moment, then Hannah's covenant surrender and finally we'll cover some powerful hacks.
- 1:44We can learn from the scriptures about being a prayer warrior, but let's begin with the single most important truth every prayer warrior must know when we talk about spiritual battle.
- 1:56The the number one thing we must understand is that our strength does not come from our own human willpower or our eloquent words or how perfectly we perform.
- 2:09Our number one source of strength, authority and power comes in and through the name of Jesus Christ.
- 2:17As my mantra says in Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
- 2:24When you pray, it is important to invoke the name of Jesus in in your prayer, remember you are not standing alone.
- 2:33You are clothed in the righteousness of your Redeemer.
- 2:37As James 5:16 declares, the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man and I'm going to tack on or woman availeth much When a mother who loves Jesus Christ steps onto the spiritual battle line as a prayer warrior for
- 2:56her family.
- 2:57Her focused intentional intercession is effective because we humbly ask in the name of Jesus Christ as the Savior did in Gethsemane.
- 3:08We also tack on not my will be done.
- 3:11We are not begging a distant God.
- 3:14We are invoking the name of the King of Kings as we plead.
- 3:18And there is power in Praying in his name.
- 3:23So what happens when you pray in the name of Jesus, but nothing in your circumstance seems to change?
- 3:31Look at the story of Daniel.
- 3:33In chapter 10, verses 12 through 13, Daniel set his heart to fast and pray for his people for 21 long days.
- 3:43Nothing changed on the surface, but on the 21st day, a heavenly messenger appeared to him and said, from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy
- 3:59words.
- 4:00The angel revealed that a dark spiritual force had resisted him in the unseen realm until Michael the Archangel came to help.
- 4:10Here is the vital principle for every prayer Warrior Heaven responds on day one.
- 4:18When you pray for a child, a marriage, or a heavy trial and you see no immediate change in the physical world, it does not mean God didn't hear you.
- 4:31Your prayer immediately dispatches heavenly assistance in the unseen realm.
- 4:36The moment it leaves your lips stay true, Cleave to hope and trust that the answer and the solution is coming.
- 4:47I learned this lesson in a deeply personal way years ago with my son, Nathan.
- 4:53Nathan has low functioning autism and cannot communicate well verbally.
- 4:58One night, about two in the morning, he woke up screaming.
- 5:03Usually we could soothe him, but this night was different.
- 5:06He would not be consoled.
- 5:10For hours, my husband and I tried everything.
- 5:13We gave him pain medication, offered distractions and said prayers, but nothing worked.
- 5:20Hours later, my pleading prayers turned into desperate, breathless sobs and I finally cried out, God, we have tried everything and nothing is working.
- 5:32I don't know what to pray for, but we need help.
- 5:37In that moment, I had reached the absolute end of my human wisdom and knowledge.
- 5:43I was completely humble, submissive and open before God.
- 5:48And right then, a quiet thought whispered into my mind.
- 5:54Pray for angels.
- 5:58I immediately began praying out loud, inviting every deceased angel ancestor I could think of by name, begging they would come.
- 6:06Calm Nathan, and help me endure.
- 6:10Oh, my dear friend.
- 6:12I never saw those angels with my physical eyes, but I felt them in that room.
- 6:18There was a tangible, overwhelming sense of peace, comfort and love that just seemed to enter the space.
- 6:27And it finally settled.
- 6:29Nathan.
- 6:30He stopped crying.
- 6:33As Psalm 35 promises, weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning.
- 6:42I learned two massive prayer warrior principles that night.
- 6:46When you run out of answers, ask God what to pray for.
- 6:51Lay it all on the line and say, lord, teach me how to pray for this child.
- 6:56He knows the exact key that unlocks the breakthrough.
- 7:01And second, we must explicitly invite angels into our battles.
- 7:06Angels are real, they are powerful, and God dispatches them when we invite and ask them to join us.
- 7:16Another transformation happens when we look at the story of Hannah in 1st Samuel chapters 1 and 2.
- 7:23She was grieved, provoked by her adversary, and misunderstood.
- 7:28And in this situation, she went to the tabernacle and poured out her soul before the Lord for a child.
- 7:35But notice what she also did.
- 7:37She made a covenant to surrender her child back to God.
- 7:42A prayer warrior mother surrenders her children into the Savior's hands, moving from heavy, suffocating worry into a covenant partnership with Jesus Christ.
- 7:55Think of the parable of the Prodigal Son.
- 7:58The Father didn't chase the Son into a far country to argue with him.
- 8:03The Father kept his vigilant eye on the horizon, watching and waiting.
- 8:10When the Son finally came to himself, the Father was already watching and ran to meet him, greeting him with open arms.
- 8:19God sees our loved ones and is watching and working with them, even when they seem like they are afar off.
- 8:27So what do we do in the meantime?
- 8:30In your prayers you can ask God, lord, what can I do while I wait?
- 8:35And when a prompting comes, act on it immediately.
- 8:39Pair that action with Colossians 4.
- 8:422, which says, Continue in prayer and watch in the same with thanksgiving.
- 8:48This gratitude mindset is also talked about in 1st Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
- 9:01While you wait, find things to be thankful for and continue to praise God for His mercies and miracles.
- 9:08And if you're struggling to see the miracles, ask him to help you see them, especially when things are hard.
- 9:15Another scriptural hack for when you run up against a particularly stubborn challenge is to combine the power of prayer with fasting, as Jesus taught his disciples when dealing with the adversary in Matthew 17:21.
- 9:29But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.
- 9:35In Ezra 8:23 we read, so we fasted and implored our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty.
- 9:43Fasting and prayer are powerful when used together.
- 9:47When you combined the authority of Jesus Christ, the ministry of angels, and a watchful heart of gratitude, fasting and surrendering to God, you, my friend, become an unstoppable force for good in your home and in the world.
- 10:04You become a prayer warrior of light.
