- 0:21Speaker 1: were fired. You will pass through centuries on the hands
- 0:24Speaker 1: of your daughters. They called you wisdom. Proverbs on the

- 0:57Speaker 1: wife told her daughter, and daughter told the as this is.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And the ancestors told me that you would come to
- 1:04Speaker 1: give wisdom. Thousands. They said you would come dropping Dropping Jim. Hey,

- 1:40Speaker 1: is going to be a really juicy conversation. I feel
- 1:42Speaker 1: really excited about today. UM. I feel grateful and excited
- 1:45Speaker 1: for every guest that Grace's this show. But today's guest
- 1:49Speaker 1: is someone that I've been following on Instagram and following
- 1:54Speaker 1: their music, and I really connected so deeply when I
- 1:57Speaker 1: was introduced to their most recent album, UM and just
- 2:01Speaker 1: sitting with the words and finding so much connection between
- 2:05Speaker 1: my spiritual lineage and his. So Today's guest is Lingdrelle,
- 2:11Speaker 1: and Atlanta based poet, author, and musician well known for
- 2:15Speaker 1: his spiritual poetry. His music uniquely combines ancient yoga philosophy
- 2:20Speaker 1: with Southern hip hop culture see Guys I Mean Sold

- 2:36Speaker 1: he has released two books. His book on self help poetry,
- 2:39Speaker 1: also entitled Eternal Sunshine, was released in two thousand seventeen,
- 2:44Speaker 1: and he continues to inspire and illuminate minds. Lundrelle is

- 3:00Speaker 1: Welcome to the show. Thank you. It is a pleasure
- 3:02Speaker 1: and an honor and a blessing to finally be here
- 3:05Speaker 1: in the physical I know we have tons of interactions online,
- 3:08Speaker 1: uh you, me and Darlene and Becca as well, and
- 3:11Speaker 1: it's so great to to just be here in the
- 3:13Speaker 1: physical presence um and it just feel you're you're loving
- 3:17Speaker 1: vibrations here and now in the physical. Yeah, so beautiful.
- 3:21Speaker 1: I'm so happy. I'm so happy to be spending this
- 3:23Speaker 1: time with you. I Um, a friend actually deemed me
- 3:28Speaker 1: some tracks from your album earlier in the year, and
- 3:31Speaker 1: I clicked on your page and I was just like,
- 3:33Speaker 1: oh wow, oh this this feels like deepest truth, Like
- 3:39Speaker 1: I just really connected and I started listening to your
- 3:42Speaker 1: work and it was really interesting for me, like I
- 3:44Speaker 1: love I love the whole. I love the way you
- 3:48Speaker 1: share your gift. And as someone that came from the
- 3:52Speaker 1: music industry and from a music background and really felt
- 3:57Speaker 1: called to move in a different space, um, a lot around.
- 4:01Speaker 1: A lot of it was around the music that I
- 4:03Speaker 1: was playing every day when I worked on the radio,
- 4:05Speaker 1: Like I loved it. Hip hop is what made me
- 4:08Speaker 1: really start my career and broadcasting. But then there were
- 4:11Speaker 1: so many things that I'd play and I'd say, ah,
- 4:14Speaker 1: I mean like I don't want to tell you all
- 4:15Speaker 1: to do drugs, Like I don't want to tell you
- 4:18Speaker 1: guys to have um sex that feels meaningless or minimizing,
- 4:22Speaker 1: Like I don't want to have enthusiasm as I introduce
- 4:27Speaker 1: themes that I think are actually really repressive to our
- 4:30Speaker 1: minds and our souls and um, really limiting. And so
- 4:33Speaker 1: when I was able to start playing your album, it
- 4:37Speaker 1: just engulfed me. I mean, you were speaking my language,
- 4:39Speaker 1: you were speaking I was like, oh my god, yes,
- 4:41Speaker 1: I love that. Oh that piece of philosophy meant so
- 4:44Speaker 1: much to me. And you know, when I was hearing
- 4:46Speaker 1: the way that you so beautifully just blended these world worlds,
- 4:51Speaker 1: you know, like just used it really felt like you
- 4:56Speaker 1: were like a divine translator of this really ancient work
- 4:59Speaker 1: and this ancient path and sharing it in a way
- 5:03Speaker 1: that you know, sonically, it's like the vibrations right you're
- 5:07Speaker 1: so important and like invadic lineage. Um, you know I
- 5:10Speaker 1: learned P s M. That's how I meditate mantra based
- 5:13Speaker 1: in script sounds and so what that does to the
- 5:17Speaker 1: inside of you, right, Like the vibration don't even have
- 5:20Speaker 1: to have words as a translation. It's the tone. It's
- 5:24Speaker 1: the vibrational quality in your face and your body. And
- 5:28Speaker 1: so hearing your music, I was just like, oh wow, yeah, yeah,
- 5:32Speaker 1: he's on a mission to heal. Yeah, that's a beautiful reflection.
- 5:35Speaker 1: And I truly do agree that the music of the
- 5:39Speaker 1: like manstream music, Um, it's it's truly trapped music. It
- 5:42Speaker 1: keeps you trapped encyclical living, um, you know, emotions and
- 5:45Speaker 1: things of that in that nature and you're never really
- 5:48Speaker 1: consciously you know, living out your your life. And so
- 5:51Speaker 1: I think I make liberation music instead of trapped music.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I make music to liberate, you know, to liberate others
- 5:57Speaker 1: and to liberate myself. And I guess that's why my
- 5:59Speaker 1: last album was you know, stay free, stay free, stay liberated,
- 6:03Speaker 1: and you know, just you know, live consciously, live mindfully,
- 6:06Speaker 1: um and live soulfully, I should say, And because that
- 6:10Speaker 1: is our nature and you know, um, I create music
- 6:13Speaker 1: from the soul, you know, and like you said, translating that,
- 6:16Speaker 1: so I get downloads all the time. You know. My
- 6:18Speaker 1: downloads are in the form of poetry, um and music
- 6:22Speaker 1: and song. And you know, the practice, you know, just
- 6:25Speaker 1: prepares me to receive. And I just allow myself to
- 6:28Speaker 1: be a vessel, allow myself to be an instrument, and
- 6:31Speaker 1: just you know, do the work and let the work
- 6:34Speaker 1: do itself. Yeah, that's good. Let the work do itself. Yeah,
- 6:38Speaker 1: because it's not all about working, you know. And I
- 6:41Speaker 1: think we use that term because it is. It's a
- 6:44Speaker 1: beautiful work. It's a delicate work, very systematic work. But
- 6:49Speaker 1: so many people stay from the path because you hear
- 6:51Speaker 1: the word work and it's oh, but life is already
- 6:53Speaker 1: hardy do I want? It's playing? Right, It's the it's
- 6:58Speaker 1: the divine play that we're in. It's a dance. And
- 7:00Speaker 1: so you know, we can make it work, and it
- 7:02Speaker 1: can be very strenuous, and we can struggle and all
- 7:05Speaker 1: that that struggle is truly self inflicted. But if we
- 7:08Speaker 1: learn to dance and play with it, because we are
- 7:10Speaker 1: co creating, co creators, and this experience and everything is
- 7:14Speaker 1: working for us, you know, everything is working for us,
- 7:17Speaker 1: and everything is you know, everything works for the greater
- 7:20Speaker 1: good of each and every person involved, you know, So
- 7:23Speaker 1: it's not so much work, it's more so uh, cooperative
- 7:27Speaker 1: collaboration with life and with each other, active participation. Yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 1: So I've got to know more about your path to yourself.
- 7:37Speaker 1: So a little bit of your background. You were born
- 7:41Speaker 1: in Florida, right, I was born in Florida, born in Florida.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Moved to Atlanta around two thousand and twelve. You went
- 7:46Speaker 1: to the Thune Cookman University, so you were I mean
- 7:51Speaker 1: you're steeped in culture. Yeah, yeah, yeah. How did you
- 7:54Speaker 1: find specifically the Vedic path? Because the Vedic path, I
- 7:59Speaker 1: think we've all those who are awakened in this moment.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I believe you know, we've always been awakened. It's just remembering.
- 8:05Speaker 1: So we'll remember little moments in our childhood where you're like,
- 8:09Speaker 1: oh wow, I was wise as fuck, Like how did
- 8:11Speaker 1: I know? Like you know, um, and then you get
- 8:14Speaker 1: like more layers. But I think huge shifts really in
- 8:17Speaker 1: the way that I've noticed. It really started happening around
- 8:20Speaker 1: two thousand and sixteen. I think where so many of
- 8:22Speaker 1: us there was something I don't know yet what it was.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I've looked into the astrology of it, but there was
- 8:28Speaker 1: something in the air that really shifted things for a
- 8:33Speaker 1: lot of us and made us I feel maybe I'm
- 8:36Speaker 1: just speaking for myself, but really kicked purpose and to
- 8:43Speaker 1: overdrive in a new way, you know. Um. And I like,
- 8:48Speaker 1: I've been on this path my whole life. And I
- 8:51Speaker 1: was like definitely the middle schooler that read self help
- 8:53Speaker 1: books and stuff. I didn't know what the hell any
- 8:56Speaker 1: of it. I was intellectualized that I was interested. Um.
- 9:00Speaker 1: But when I really connected specifically to like primordial sound
- 9:03Speaker 1: meditation and the path of Vidic wisdom and you know,
- 9:08Speaker 1: reading reading all the sacred text that that was my deepening.
- 9:12Speaker 1: I think that was my biggest undoing. And it is
- 9:15Speaker 1: rare that I find other people, especially other people from
- 9:18Speaker 1: our community, that chose that specific lineage. And so how
- 9:23Speaker 1: did you how did you return home in this way? Yeah?
- 9:26Speaker 1: And I was about to say it was a returning
- 9:28Speaker 1: home and I think it's just coming back to remembering, um.
- 9:32Speaker 1: And it was in two thousand and fifteen, so around
- 9:35Speaker 1: like two thousand and sixteen, where where you said. I
- 9:37Speaker 1: think during that time it was just a lot of
- 9:39Speaker 1: things for me. It was on like social media, like traumatizing,
- 9:43Speaker 1: just scenes and depictions of you know, black men being
- 9:45Speaker 1: black men, and women and children being murdered, and that
- 9:48Speaker 1: kind of like you know, traumatized us into awakening and
- 9:51Speaker 1: to seeking UM. And for me, that that just around
- 9:54Speaker 1: the time where I found um or came home to
- 9:57Speaker 1: because you know, Vedic literature and philosophy sound it feels
- 10:00Speaker 1: so much like home to me, so much like home
- 10:03Speaker 1: to me. Even the words just I picked up, you know,
- 10:05Speaker 1: I picked up the baggid and I just automatically started
- 10:08Speaker 1: to you know, I'd like to understand and to be
- 10:10Speaker 1: able to find the tongue for the Sanskrit, you know,
- 10:13Speaker 1: without even like you know, trying, without even like um,
- 10:17Speaker 1: having any introduction to it before. Then you know, it
- 10:21Speaker 1: just kind of came back natural to me. UM. So
- 10:23Speaker 1: I know that somewhere in my existent existence I had
- 10:26Speaker 1: studied or I had been a practitioner. But it was
- 10:29Speaker 1: in two thousand fourteen for me when I first started
- 10:32Speaker 1: really to go deeper inward um and just seeking more
- 10:36Speaker 1: meanings to life. I'm a natural seeker um, and I
- 10:38Speaker 1: always like question things and inquire about things, but two
- 10:41Speaker 1: thousand fourteen is when I really like became a true seeker. UM.
- 10:45Speaker 1: I think it started UM with the death of Michael
- 10:48Speaker 1: Brown and Us Ferguson and I had organized the run
- 10:53Speaker 1: from Atlanta to St. Louis eight hundred and forty mile
- 10:56Speaker 1: run UM as a way to raise awareness for that
- 10:59Speaker 1: situation and raised funds for the UM for the family
- 11:03Speaker 1: UM during their time of grief and during their time
- 11:06Speaker 1: of need. UM. And so I organized the run, me
- 11:09Speaker 1: and a partner, ME and my friend. We ran every
- 11:11Speaker 1: day for twenty one days from from Atlanta to uh
- 11:16Speaker 1: St St. Louis Ferguson, Missouri. UM. Very tiring, very daunting,
- 11:23Speaker 1: very just like I just shed a lot in that
- 11:26Speaker 1: as well. You know, you know, we were in like
- 11:28Speaker 1: forty miles a day, UM, and you know, uh, there's
- 11:32Speaker 1: pictures on the internet. When we finally arrived there, you know,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I was just bawling out in tears, just because you know,
- 11:37Speaker 1: giving so much life, energy, life force to a cause,
- 11:40Speaker 1: to a purpose really opened me up to universal service,
- 11:44Speaker 1: universal compassion, universal love and just you know, carrying on
- 11:48Speaker 1: a deeper and more profound level for for someone outside
- 11:52Speaker 1: of myself, UM, and you know the world at large.
- 11:56Speaker 1: And so I did that and maybe like a few
- 11:59Speaker 1: a few months later, Um, I was just doing some
- 12:02Speaker 1: backpacking because I was still so searching, because I was
- 12:05Speaker 1: trying to cope with these new thoughts, these new downloads,
- 12:08Speaker 1: this new understanding, this new clarity and life, this new
- 12:11Speaker 1: perception of life. UM and I UM. I was traveling
- 12:18Speaker 1: by foot from from Atlanta to d C. This time
- 12:22Speaker 1: for the fiftieth anniversary of the Million Man March, I believe,
- 12:26Speaker 1: and so I just decided to to backpack there and
- 12:28Speaker 1: also raise money for the for for Sandra Blend and
- 12:31Speaker 1: her family as well. UM. But on that on that journey,
- 12:36Speaker 1: I just started to I would stay in hotels like
- 12:40Speaker 1: that were owned by Indian people or or or Hindu
- 12:43Speaker 1: people or are I'll just go to a gas station
- 12:46Speaker 1: and I'll see just like an arms symbol, or I'll
- 12:48Speaker 1: just see something, uh a deity. But I didn't really
- 12:52Speaker 1: like pay attention to it. And one one day, UM,
- 12:55Speaker 1: it had been raining all day, UM, and I was
- 12:58Speaker 1: running in the rain all day. And usually I just
- 13:02Speaker 1: stay in the hotel one day and and leave as
- 13:05Speaker 1: I'm traveling, but this day it just it would not
- 13:08Speaker 1: stop raining, would not stop raining. And so the next
- 13:10Speaker 1: day I got up to leave, I just asked, can
- 13:12Speaker 1: I have an extra day? And as I was leaving
- 13:16Speaker 1: the lobby, there was a book. There was a Boggle
- 13:18Speaker 1: of Agia on the on the table, and automatically I
- 13:22Speaker 1: just picked it up and I haven't put it down since.
- 13:25Speaker 1: And so, yeah, that was kind of my reintroduction to
- 13:28Speaker 1: UM Eastern philosophy because I had not read, like I
- 13:32Speaker 1: guess the closest thing to Eastern Philosophy I probably have
- 13:35Speaker 1: ever read before then was probably The Alchemist and that
- 13:38Speaker 1: type of poetic type, neistical type UM explanation and storyline.
- 13:43Speaker 1: But UM, I picked up the bogg of Geta then,
- 13:46Speaker 1: and you know, I've been just picking up Eastern philosophy
- 13:48Speaker 1: and traditions UM ever since. And it resonates so deeply
- 13:52Speaker 1: with me. Yeah, that's so beautiful. That book is so
- 13:57Speaker 1: um delicious, like it's a feast that I remember when
- 14:05Speaker 1: I first read that book, I was actually doing UM.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I was doing the P s M training at chopra
- 14:10Speaker 1: Um that might have been roomy was a big piece
- 14:18Speaker 1: of like my journey, like hearing UM the beauty in
- 14:23Speaker 1: the language of connecting to yourself, also the ideology around
- 14:31Speaker 1: allowing darkness to be your candle, you know, like allowing
- 14:35Speaker 1: your darkness to be your light. That was the piece
- 14:38Speaker 1: that I think began to teach me grace about being
- 14:42Speaker 1: able to be steeped in the process, you know. And
- 14:45Speaker 1: I think even reflecting back to how we were starting
- 14:47Speaker 1: this conversation around work, it's like, you know, a lot
- 14:50Speaker 1: of the work is us just moving our mind around
- 14:54Speaker 1: to be able to understand that things don't have to
- 14:57Speaker 1: be hard, that there is opportunity to heal with grace
- 15:00Speaker 1: and ease, um and beauty, you know, the beautiful language, hearing, hearing,
- 15:05Speaker 1: spiritual reflections. M Yeah, that's truly that, that is truly, uh,
- 15:10Speaker 1: you know, beautiful that we can draw upon words for
- 15:15Speaker 1: for life. You know, Um, I have I have a
- 15:19Speaker 1: way with words, but I have a relationship with words
- 15:21Speaker 1: as well. I can just actually like just coming up
- 15:24Speaker 1: with them, reading them. There it's just a life in
- 15:26Speaker 1: its own and um, like you said, you know, we
- 15:29Speaker 1: go back to we just have to move on our
- 15:32Speaker 1: minds around to you know, receive the words and receive
- 15:35Speaker 1: the energy behind the words, because sometimes it's not just
- 15:38Speaker 1: the words, it's the energy that comes that the consciousness
- 15:41Speaker 1: behind those words. Even the person like you know, uh, roomy.
- 15:45Speaker 1: You know there's a consciousness behind his words, and so
- 15:48Speaker 1: receiving his words, you have receiving you have received his vibrations,
- 15:51Speaker 1: his energy, his consciousness, and that's what with anything. And
- 15:54Speaker 1: you know, even words that we don't understand, like a
- 15:56Speaker 1: different language or sanscrit and mantras especially, they are so
- 16:00Speaker 1: powerful though they may just like look like words, and
- 16:02Speaker 1: you know, sounds and vibrations that that work, that work
- 16:06Speaker 1: on on the being and the body and the emotions
- 16:08Speaker 1: in a very subtle way. And as you know, they're
- 16:10Speaker 1: like tools and instruments too. And UM sometimes can be
- 16:13Speaker 1: used as weapons um, especially in Um in ancient sense
- 16:17Speaker 1: created history, you know, mantos was used. Words were used
- 16:19Speaker 1: as weapons and ways of um and battle and things
- 16:22Speaker 1: of that nature. And they speak about that in the
- 16:24Speaker 1: box of a guida um the counk sheils and each
- 16:28Speaker 1: each um, each ponderva Um warrior had different kunk shells
- 16:33Speaker 1: and you know they use those kunk shells to to fight,
- 16:36Speaker 1: you know, and battles. So you know, words have truly
- 16:39Speaker 1: words for me, our life, words for me a life. Wow,
- 16:43Speaker 1: let's talk about so you have quite the body of work.
- 16:46Speaker 1: And you know when I when I found your your
- 16:49Speaker 1: project that I let off with, UM, your most recent
- 16:52Speaker 1: which was Stay Free, And then I've been investigating you
- 16:55Speaker 1: have a total of six albums that you've released since
- 16:59Speaker 1: twenty x team, and I'd love to I'd love to
- 17:04Speaker 1: really explore because as you're talking about, even like you
- 17:08Speaker 1: always knew you had a gift of words, like, it
- 17:11Speaker 1: seems that words have always been your destiny. Um, and
- 17:15Speaker 1: you originally use words through poetry. How did you find
- 17:22Speaker 1: that language was your key even before you transitioned into
- 17:26Speaker 1: the first album, even before you transitioned I think to
- 17:29Speaker 1: this Vedic path, like, how did you unlock that words
- 17:33Speaker 1: were your tool? Um? I think it started really as
- 17:36Speaker 1: uh in childhood because I wasn't really a speaker. I'm not.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I'm still just not much of a like an extra
- 17:42Speaker 1: varied person just talking all the time. I was very quiet.
- 17:45Speaker 1: But because of my upbringing, UM, you know, childhood trauma,
- 17:50Speaker 1: UM you know, and living living with a parent who
- 17:53Speaker 1: was very violent and rageful and things of that nature,
- 17:56Speaker 1: very abusive mentally, verbally and physically. UM, it kind of
- 18:01Speaker 1: pushed me deeper within myself. UM. I was always already
- 18:04Speaker 1: introspective and introverted, but being in a in a household
- 18:08Speaker 1: that didn't encourage expressiveness or vulnerability. Um, I had to
- 18:12Speaker 1: find that space within myself. I had to create that space, um,
- 18:16Speaker 1: within myself. And um, you know, I hardly remember any
- 18:21Speaker 1: of my childhood because I was totally disassociating from my environment.
- 18:25Speaker 1: But words weren't my escape. And through words I found
- 18:28Speaker 1: I created new worlds within myself. Um. And through writing,
- 18:32Speaker 1: I created, you know, new a new reality for me
- 18:35Speaker 1: that I could just go in and escape too. So
- 18:37Speaker 1: I guess you know, my writings were my My writings
- 18:41Speaker 1: were the result of me trying to communicate with or
- 18:44Speaker 1: my highest self, trying to communicate you know, with me
- 18:47Speaker 1: in my my lowest state and you know, being a
- 18:50Speaker 1: child and things of that nature. So that's how I
- 18:52Speaker 1: became acquainted with words and trusting words and just the
- 18:56Speaker 1: relationship and the connection that I have with words. That
- 18:59Speaker 1: was like the every beginning. And so I started right
- 19:01Speaker 1: just writing it probably not poetry, but just starting started writing,
- 19:05Speaker 1: like um when I was a kid, and um, just
- 19:08Speaker 1: to escape my uh seeming reality. UM that was so
- 19:12Speaker 1: very like daunting at times and hunting at times, and
- 19:15Speaker 1: just you know, I did not as a kid, I
- 19:16Speaker 1: did not want to live. I did not want to
- 19:18Speaker 1: be alive because it was just just that that treacherous,
- 19:21Speaker 1: even in my home, um, and even outside of my homes.
- 19:24Speaker 1: So words were my escape. You know, words were my escape,
- 19:28Speaker 1: um and they still are. They still are a way
- 19:31Speaker 1: to escape and create. Um what I say, Once they
- 19:34Speaker 1: create words free me words free me now um. And
- 19:38Speaker 1: so yeah, that was like the very beginning of my writings.
- 19:41Speaker 1: And then in high school it developed too more to
- 19:44Speaker 1: more poetry and hit that hip hop because that was
- 19:47Speaker 1: the culture and it still is the culture. And and
- 19:50Speaker 1: so that was like the thing to do. That's what
- 19:52Speaker 1: you see on TV. So you you emulate. You know,
- 19:54Speaker 1: what you see consciousness reflects consciousness. And so for me,
- 19:58Speaker 1: you know, seeing seeing like seeing people that are good
- 20:02Speaker 1: with words. But it's more so rapping wasn't really spoken word.
- 20:05Speaker 1: It was more so a hip hop and rap. So
- 20:06Speaker 1: that's how you know, I can you know, easily translate
- 20:10Speaker 1: or you know, seamlessly, seemingly seamlessly um flow from you know,
- 20:16Speaker 1: philosophy into hip hop and integrate the philosophy and the
- 20:19Speaker 1: words of value and mindfulness and you know, healthy vibrations
- 20:22Speaker 1: into hip hop is because you know the early on
- 20:25Speaker 1: exposure to that. You know. Yeah, I'd love to sit
- 20:30Speaker 1: um in this moment for just a second and ask
- 20:33Speaker 1: you some of the mechanics because something you just shared,
- 20:39Speaker 1: UM really beautifully and thank you so much for giving
- 20:43Speaker 1: such insight into your life, because I think it's so
- 20:47Speaker 1: so incredibly important for people to know what's possible for them.
- 20:51Speaker 1: And like what you just described, UM with how you
- 21:00Speaker 1: were made to experience yourself and UM, the lack of
- 21:09Speaker 1: being able to feel fully safe and free inside of
- 21:14Speaker 1: yourself as a child, which is so fundamental and so
- 21:17Speaker 1: foundational for how we then view ourselves in every other
- 21:22Speaker 1: iteration of us throughout our lifetimes. UM. I think so
- 21:25Speaker 1: many of us can relate to what you said, and
- 21:28Speaker 1: I think especially so many people within black and brown communities,
- 21:32Speaker 1: because even if that chaos was not inside the home,
- 21:35Speaker 1: for so many, that chaos is always reflected everywhere outside
- 21:40Speaker 1: of the home and all the structures in place that
- 21:42Speaker 1: keep it going. UM. And what really feels like an
- 21:46Speaker 1: apathy from the world towards UM, you know, towards black
- 21:52Speaker 1: and brown bodies experiences. UM. So as you walk this
- 21:57Speaker 1: path now, is someone who you know will always be seekers.
- 22:02Speaker 1: But you are embodied. You know you are integrated. You
- 22:05Speaker 1: are in alignment with yourself, with your soul, with your
- 22:08Speaker 1: highest vision, highest timelines, highest self. How do you sit with, um,
- 22:16Speaker 1: the things you've overcome in this moment? How do you
- 22:21Speaker 1: how do you integrate what can be a really painful
- 22:26Speaker 1: past foundational experience? You know, those are the things that
- 22:29Speaker 1: we can never forget because it started us as where
- 22:32Speaker 1: we are. So it's um, you know, the trauma. How
- 22:36Speaker 1: do you move with grief? How do you experience as
- 22:41Speaker 1: this version of yourself? UM, some of those wounds as
- 22:45Speaker 1: you look back on them as they're healing or have
- 22:47Speaker 1: been healed. Yeah, beautiful question, UM, and thank you for
- 22:51Speaker 1: allowing me to go back and revisit that. UM. But yeah,
- 22:55Speaker 1: as as you know, like you said, being embodied and
- 22:58Speaker 1: being here now I can go back into the darkness
- 23:01Speaker 1: with light and like you said, like um, you know,
- 23:04Speaker 1: like the room in quote allowing your your darkness to
- 23:06Speaker 1: be your candle. UM. And Uh, I don't shy away
- 23:09Speaker 1: from the darkness. I don't like push it away. I
- 23:12Speaker 1: don't resist it. Because you know, this life, this experience
- 23:16Speaker 1: that we have, requires contrast, It requires the duality of
- 23:21Speaker 1: light and darkness, and we can't have a picture without
- 23:23Speaker 1: the negative and the positive. And so I understand that
- 23:26Speaker 1: it's going from you know, going from Greece grief, sorry,
- 23:30Speaker 1: going from grief and to grace, you know, having grace
- 23:33Speaker 1: with myself, you know, and just you know, really allowing
- 23:37Speaker 1: myself to feel like like early, like early in my life,
- 23:41Speaker 1: I was I was made to be so emotionally numb,
- 23:44Speaker 1: so emotionally numb to everything, and so um, you kind
- 23:48Speaker 1: of cut yourself off from an important aspect of you
- 23:51Speaker 1: because life is all feeling, you know, the reason that
- 23:53Speaker 1: we're here, because we are intuitively feeling that we are
- 23:56Speaker 1: in this room in the studio having a conversation with
- 23:59Speaker 1: ourselves and in a different expression, and so um, it's
- 24:03Speaker 1: just really allowing myself to feel whatever that whatever is,
- 24:07Speaker 1: and whatever is is and that's all that is. If
- 24:09Speaker 1: it's if it's light, if it's darkness, it's pain, if
- 24:12Speaker 1: it's hurt, it's there, and it's an experience that can
- 24:14Speaker 1: teach you something. It's an experience that you can grow from,
- 24:17Speaker 1: it's something that you can you know, build upon. And
- 24:20Speaker 1: so for me, there's a level of non resistance to
- 24:24Speaker 1: the light to the dark and just all acceptance of
- 24:27Speaker 1: everything because we are everything and everything is happening within
- 24:31Speaker 1: us and then so um, it really takes a lot
- 24:35Speaker 1: of patience with yourself, grace with yourself, and understanding with yourself.
- 24:39Speaker 1: But I understand that. You know, I've been through the
- 24:42Speaker 1: worst of situations, so everything on a larger scale, everything
- 24:46Speaker 1: is so very small to me. You know, I think
- 24:48Speaker 1: we can all say that no matter what we face
- 24:51Speaker 1: going forward in life, it compares not to what we've
- 24:54Speaker 1: been through, you know, it never compares. And and just
- 24:57Speaker 1: how traumatized because we we have gained a level of aware,
- 25:00Speaker 1: earnest and wisdom, and wisdom allows us to remove obstacles
- 25:03Speaker 1: that that once seems so big, but now they're just
- 25:06Speaker 1: so very small. So as we go through go through life,
- 25:09Speaker 1: you know, we progress through life. There's a certain level
- 25:12Speaker 1: of for all of us, an awakening that naturally happened.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Some of us, it's it's slower than others, and some
- 25:18Speaker 1: of us is much more aware and we are more
- 25:21Speaker 1: aware of that. But um, for me, it's really just
- 25:24Speaker 1: sitting with everything and being with everything and non resistance
- 25:28Speaker 1: to anything. Hold that thought we are coming right back
- 25:43Speaker 1: when I was listening to your album Stay Free. The
- 25:45Speaker 1: thing that was really striking to me is I love
- 25:47Speaker 1: the cover you were Um, it's such a beautiful, gorgeous
- 25:52Speaker 1: photograph of you as a little boy. And you know,
- 25:57Speaker 1: it's just I don't know the resilience of children, and
- 26:00Speaker 1: it's so phenomenal, the resilience of heart, you know, the
- 26:05Speaker 1: ability to really be open. We talked on this show
- 26:09Speaker 1: quite a bit about reparenting and a lot of the
- 26:12Speaker 1: inner child work and mirror work and you know, all
- 26:15Speaker 1: the things that grief work, things that you can do
- 26:20Speaker 1: to come back inside of your body and be there
- 26:23Speaker 1: and live there and feel safe there. What would this
- 26:26Speaker 1: version of you stay back to the little boy on
- 26:29Speaker 1: that cover of Stay Free. Yes, stay free, truly, Yes,
- 26:34Speaker 1: stay free. Allow yourself to feel, um, allow yourself to heal.
- 26:38Speaker 1: You know, it's okay to feel. It's okay to cry,
- 26:41Speaker 1: it's okay to be sensitive, it's okay to be exactly
- 26:45Speaker 1: where you are, you know, because without you know, without this,
- 26:49Speaker 1: you would not become this, you know, And so I
- 26:52Speaker 1: honor that, honor the child and me, and I still
- 26:55Speaker 1: you know, have conversations with the child and me because
- 26:58Speaker 1: I know that timeline it's still existing somewhere in time
- 27:01Speaker 1: and just going back there consciously, you know, because we
- 27:05Speaker 1: are all time traveling. You know, we are all time travelers.
- 27:08Speaker 1: We're time traveling now for these conversations. And you know,
- 27:11Speaker 1: our past is still happening now, our future is happening now.
- 27:15Speaker 1: So it's being able to consciously understand that and have
- 27:18Speaker 1: that conversation now because it's happening now, you know. And
- 27:22Speaker 1: so I can lend wisdom to myself in that timeline. Um,
- 27:25Speaker 1: and He'll heal my inner child in this timeline. You know. Yes,
- 27:33Speaker 1: this is a whole another conversation now that I want
- 27:34Speaker 1: to have with you off the off the mic about
- 27:36Speaker 1: some things. UM. Yeah, and that I love that you
- 27:40Speaker 1: said that because you know, as I experience of my
- 27:43Speaker 1: own reparenting and beautiful childhood work, you know, and as um,
- 27:48Speaker 1: certain phrases are really being utilized more and more like
- 27:54Speaker 1: reflections on ancestral trauma, on intergenerational trauma, you know. The
- 27:59Speaker 1: some the joy for me and doing the work is
- 28:02Speaker 1: knowing that truly, as I heal myself now in this moment,
- 28:05Speaker 1: as I stand in the grace of myself and allow
- 28:09Speaker 1: myself to be radiant and free, that all of that
- 28:13Speaker 1: goodness is healing the younger version of it. And so
- 28:16Speaker 1: the way that I've I've been kind of experiencing it
- 28:18Speaker 1: or thinking of it in my mind is that life
- 28:21Speaker 1: is feeling so good and full now because actually my
- 28:24Speaker 1: past has been completely rebuilt, um re experienced. And so
- 28:32Speaker 1: when I feel the true true depth of freedom that
- 28:37Speaker 1: I feel right now, I'm like, yeah, of course this
- 28:40Speaker 1: as possible, not just because I've healed myself at this moment,
- 28:43Speaker 1: but all of that healing went backwards, so technically energetically
- 28:47Speaker 1: on a cellular level, that trauma hasn't actually happened. It's
- 28:51Speaker 1: been it's been removed. And when we think of like
- 28:55Speaker 1: that kind of lineage work, that ancestral healing, like the
- 28:57Speaker 1: intention really is what I you Now, I am sending
- 29:01Speaker 1: back and I'm sending forward. Yeah, So beautiful gave me
- 29:05Speaker 1: cheals and just to feel that energy and to actually
- 29:08Speaker 1: like you know, receive that energy and integrate that energy
- 29:11Speaker 1: into just my conscious awareness as I'm receiving it, and
- 29:14Speaker 1: it's going backward and forward in time for me as well.
- 29:17Speaker 1: So thank you for that that gym dropping gems on
- 29:20Speaker 1: on my and my heart and my soul of my life.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I truly felt that, and you know received that, and truly,
- 29:25Speaker 1: you know affirmed that as well. Not only are we
- 29:27Speaker 1: healing ourselves, but we are healing all all all versions
- 29:30Speaker 1: of ourselves are our ancestors as well as we heal
- 29:33Speaker 1: because we haven't we our ancestors have incarnated as us
- 29:38Speaker 1: to heal themselves. You know. Okay, wait can I Oh
- 29:42Speaker 1: my god, we have to go somewhere with this right now.
- 29:45Speaker 1: I have to share this thought I've I've been kind
- 29:47Speaker 1: of savoring recently, and I would love your take on it, UM,
- 29:50Speaker 1: because I feel like we really speak the same language
- 29:53Speaker 1: in a lot of said and unset ways. I thought
- 29:57Speaker 1: that occurs to me, right we think of especially UM
- 30:00Speaker 1: for our lineage, it is we're really rooted in the
- 30:03Speaker 1: understanding of reincarnation. UM. And you know, I know I've
- 30:08Speaker 1: reincarnated here. I've been here since the inception of Earth.
- 30:12Speaker 1: I've come back a bunch of times, and I've incarnated
- 30:15Speaker 1: in other realms a bunch of times. But this thought
- 30:19Speaker 1: was coming to me, UM. Okay, so let me start here.
- 30:24Speaker 1: I need to try to make this makes sense because
- 30:26Speaker 1: it's only been going in my mind. So they there
- 30:31Speaker 1: was this there was this meme on Instagram, right, or
- 30:34Speaker 1: this this fact toy that said, um, that each of
- 30:38Speaker 1: us has around four thousand ancestors behind us. Right if
- 30:42Speaker 1: we do, if we really look back at all of
- 30:45Speaker 1: the generations of what it took for us to exist
- 30:48Speaker 1: here in this moment, it goes back roughly four thousand
- 30:51Speaker 1: people for each of us. And So when I was
- 30:54Speaker 1: putting in the thought process of reincarnation into that and
- 30:58Speaker 1: different lives I know I've had in different patterns and
- 31:01Speaker 1: experiences I've had, have done a lot of past life
- 31:04Speaker 1: regression work. It was interesting. Here's an example. I was
- 31:10Speaker 1: the thought I'm putting together in my mind that I'm
- 31:12Speaker 1: trying to get out is right now in this exact moment,
- 31:17Speaker 1: as I'm embodied as Devy to have this experience as me,
- 31:21Speaker 1: I am also on this earth in a million other
- 31:25Speaker 1: ways because as I right now have embodied as Devy
- 31:30Speaker 1: and I'm receiving the support of my benevolent ancestors in
- 31:34Speaker 1: this lineage of debby, I am also many people's ancestors
- 31:39Speaker 1: right now. So like one of the lives that I
- 31:42Speaker 1: had was um. I lived in China as a healer
- 31:45Speaker 1: in the thirteenth century. So that embodiment of my energy
- 31:50Speaker 1: and essence in China in thirte century is currently serving
- 31:55Speaker 1: as the benevolent ancestry for people in China at the
- 32:00Speaker 1: exact moment that I'm also me again here on Earth
- 32:03Speaker 1: and I'm receiving benevolent ancestry from this particular family line
- 32:08Speaker 1: that I'm inhabiting. Yeah, it's like it's just you know,
- 32:11Speaker 1: it's a cross network of just weaving in and out
- 32:14Speaker 1: of timelines, weaving in and out of um cultures, weaving
- 32:18Speaker 1: and as a healer to heal cultures, to heal generations,
- 32:21Speaker 1: to heal just different parts of the world. And I
- 32:24Speaker 1: think you know, we we all you know, like you said,
- 32:26Speaker 1: you know you are here, but you are also in
- 32:28Speaker 1: the thirteenth century healing that timeline to people in China
- 32:32Speaker 1: now and in China then. So it's just like a
- 32:36Speaker 1: network or a weaving in and out of just you know, healing,
- 32:39Speaker 1: you know, And that's that's so beautiful that you know,
- 32:41Speaker 1: reflected and have that have that revelation to have that
- 32:44Speaker 1: connection with your your your truest self, you're in her self,
- 32:47Speaker 1: to to know that you know, we are all time
- 32:49Speaker 1: traveling you know, to to realize that we are time traveling.
- 32:52Speaker 1: I think I just realized that yesterday, you know, I
- 32:55Speaker 1: realized that, you know, you know, I am here, but
- 32:58Speaker 1: I'm also in another place or another timeline, doing the
- 33:03Speaker 1: same work, experiencing the same thing, and you know, just
- 33:07Speaker 1: just allowing myself to even though, you know, because that
- 33:09Speaker 1: can get kind of that can get kind of trippy,
- 33:13Speaker 1: trip trippy, and so you're just like you you the
- 33:17Speaker 1: mind starts to just weave and and it's different ways
- 33:19Speaker 1: and paths and so um, I see, like, you know,
- 33:23Speaker 1: I just opened my eyes after meditation and just just
- 33:26Speaker 1: allow myself to accept what is except you know, this
- 33:30Speaker 1: this vision and this experience, and just appreciate the walls,
- 33:34Speaker 1: appreciate the trees, appreciate the lights and everything that I
- 33:38Speaker 1: have in my memory now because memory, some Scotts, is
- 33:41Speaker 1: so very so so very deep that it goes deeper
- 33:44Speaker 1: than what the conscious mind can even like bring up
- 33:46Speaker 1: or whatever comes up in the conscious mind, and so
- 33:49Speaker 1: it's just a it's really it's really boundless. It's really boundless. Buns. Yeah,
- 33:56Speaker 1: you know. The part that felt really powerful for me
- 33:58Speaker 1: and that thought that I shared was this this knowingness
- 34:01Speaker 1: that that means that you know, there's no limits on anything, right,
- 34:06Speaker 1: Like it's everything is boundless, and when you tap into
- 34:09Speaker 1: that piece of it, there is nothing off limits to
- 34:11Speaker 1: any of us. And we all have the ability to
- 34:14Speaker 1: call in more power and more magnetism to ourselves because
- 34:19Speaker 1: we are existing here in so many ways. So yeah,
- 34:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna call I'm gonna call in some of that
- 34:25Speaker 1: soul power from century ancestral meat that's currently running around
- 34:30Speaker 1: and all the other versions. Like there's so many pieces
- 34:33Speaker 1: of our souls that we can call in to be remembered,
- 34:37Speaker 1: to utilize for this lifetime. Yeah, and I fully believe that,
- 34:41Speaker 1: and I you know, to and to go further in
- 34:43Speaker 1: that or deeper in that into that it's understanding and
- 34:48Speaker 1: totality that everything is you. You know, everything is you.
- 34:52Speaker 1: And it's kind of like the cop out, but everything
- 34:55Speaker 1: is you. You know, every this an entire experience is
- 34:57Speaker 1: happening within you. The history it's a all your memory,
- 35:01Speaker 1: you know, the history is all your memory. And we
- 35:03Speaker 1: have created ourselves, you know, in so many different forms
- 35:07Speaker 1: to experience ourselves in so many different forms, to tell
- 35:10Speaker 1: this story, to to dance, to play, to live to
- 35:13Speaker 1: love and experience whatever there is to experience, and to
- 35:18Speaker 1: to come back to ourselves. As Unda Ramda says, we're
- 35:20Speaker 1: just walking each other home. We're walking each other back
- 35:23Speaker 1: into ourselves. We're walking ourselves back to ourselves. And we
- 35:27Speaker 1: have that duty to serve, we have that duty to heal.
- 35:29Speaker 1: We have a responsibility to do the dharma of whatever
- 35:33Speaker 1: our dhama is, and it's okay to do it. And
- 35:36Speaker 1: whatever realm we're doing, whether it's music or you know, uh,
- 35:39Speaker 1: doing radio or using your voice or doing behind the scenes,
- 35:43Speaker 1: whatever your dharma is, do it and you can be
- 35:45Speaker 1: liberated through your dharma. It doesn't have to be the
- 35:48Speaker 1: strict ascetic path or path of renunciation. Whatever your dharma is,
- 35:53Speaker 1: do it and service and truth and knowing that you
- 35:56Speaker 1: are being liberated through that, through that activity, you know,
- 35:59Speaker 1: And it's all it's all sad enough. It's all the
- 36:02Speaker 1: spiritual practice, you know, whatever you're doing, whatever you're doing,
- 36:06Speaker 1: I love you. I love you too. I'm so happy
- 36:09Speaker 1: to be here with you, so happy to be here. Yeah,
- 36:12Speaker 1: you really, um, you occupy a really special, really really
- 36:17Speaker 1: special space because you're really at the intersection between deep
- 36:21Speaker 1: ancient knowledge um mastery in this life and also activism.
- 36:27Speaker 1: You know, it's like you're really occupying space as a
- 36:30Speaker 1: spiritual activists. Um, what does that feel like? And what
- 36:35Speaker 1: is your what is your deepest hope for your work?
- 36:39Speaker 1: In that way, UM, I feel I feel really really small.
- 36:47Speaker 1: I don't really see myself. UM in that way, I
- 36:51Speaker 1: just truly allow myself to be used. UM. I don't
- 36:56Speaker 1: really pay too much attention to Like, I know, I'm great.
- 37:01Speaker 1: I have confidence in myself, and I don't pay attention
- 37:03Speaker 1: to the greatness of that or the profoundness of it.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I you know, I I receive it. And I'm so
- 37:09Speaker 1: like so devotional in my in my journey that everything
- 37:12Speaker 1: isn't offering and to the divine. You know, everything is
- 37:16Speaker 1: offering and to divine. So I take nothing for myself
- 37:18Speaker 1: and just offer it to the divine. And that just
- 37:20Speaker 1: keeps me growing, That keeps me moving, that keeps me healing,
- 37:23Speaker 1: that keeps me just expanding into in my expansion. Because
- 37:27Speaker 1: I'm not in it for me or my my glory,
- 37:30Speaker 1: my fame, my praise and my name. I'm really in
- 37:33Speaker 1: it for the praise and the glory of truth and
- 37:35Speaker 1: to to bring others truth as well. And the more
- 37:38Speaker 1: I like myself, the more I like others. And I
- 37:41Speaker 1: believe that's how we you know, that is the path
- 37:43Speaker 1: of enlightenment for me is to light myself and light others.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Though the whole world must be lit. The whole world
- 37:49Speaker 1: must be lit, you know. So Um, yes, So I
- 37:53Speaker 1: really don't pay too much attention to it. I just
- 37:56Speaker 1: allow myself to do my dharma, which is me through
- 37:59Speaker 1: music and poor tree and song, and however spirit chooses
- 38:03Speaker 1: to express itself through me, um spontaneously, I just allow it,
- 38:08Speaker 1: and I just make myself vulnerable to that. Mmmmm. I
- 38:11Speaker 1: love that so much. Something that I say, um, quite
- 38:14Speaker 1: often for myself is my entire life isn't offering to God.
- 38:19Speaker 1: My whole life is ritual. Yeah, yeah, let's talk about ritual.
- 38:24Speaker 1: What are some of what are some of the beautiful
- 38:26Speaker 1: practices that you enjoying your day? How do you how
- 38:29Speaker 1: do you ritualize for your healing and for your highest good?
- 38:33Speaker 1: More recently, it's been dancing sometimes, Like yesterday, I totally
- 38:38Speaker 1: totally like usually I I probably like meditate first thing,
- 38:41Speaker 1: first thing, but I just, um, I think I was
- 38:43Speaker 1: actually listening to the droper meditation the twenty one day
- 38:46Speaker 1: meditation and I just stopped and I just said, I
- 38:48Speaker 1: just wanted I want to dance. I want to dance.
- 38:50Speaker 1: I just put on some Bob Marley, let my hair
- 38:52Speaker 1: down because I normally don't have my hair down, just
- 38:54Speaker 1: and just just dance dance for like two hours, and
- 38:57Speaker 1: that was that was ecstasy for me. That was you know,
- 39:00Speaker 1: ritualizing my healing, putting that energy and motion, because sometimes
- 39:03Speaker 1: we can be staggnant and just wanting to be stell um,
- 39:07Speaker 1: but me like me open, trying to be or allowing
- 39:10Speaker 1: myself to be more vulnerable and more open and and
- 39:13Speaker 1: feel more. Um. I just had to just get up
- 39:16Speaker 1: and dance and just dance for two hours outside and
- 39:20Speaker 1: I had my headphone zone. So I'm sure people around
- 39:22Speaker 1: me like, what is he? What is he dancing too? Um?
- 39:24Speaker 1: But yeah, I enjoyed it. But um more normally more
- 39:28Speaker 1: on on on the day to day thing. Um. You know,
- 39:32Speaker 1: I've had probably the same side enough for a spiritual
- 39:35Speaker 1: practice for like uh four or five years, five six
- 39:39Speaker 1: years actually, So for me, that's that's waking up when
- 39:42Speaker 1: the sun rise, rising with the sun and going straight
- 39:47Speaker 1: into my my practice of prani yama creas and uh
- 39:50Speaker 1: one to two hour meditation every day. UM. But for me, Uh,
- 39:55Speaker 1: that can seem like very mundane to the ordinary person
- 39:58Speaker 1: or to the person outside look in. But for me,
- 40:01Speaker 1: the practice is the goal. You know, there is nothing
- 40:03Speaker 1: beyond the practice. For me, there is nothing to attain that.
- 40:07Speaker 1: You know, everything is right here in the practice. Everything
- 40:09Speaker 1: is right here. And then in the very even the
- 40:12Speaker 1: smallest things that I'm doing, whether it's washing dishes or
- 40:15Speaker 1: cleaning out the tub or or or or meditating, it's
- 40:18Speaker 1: it's for me. It's all part of the spiritual practice,
- 40:21Speaker 1: and it's all integrated into UM opening my opening myself
- 40:26Speaker 1: up to to all that is. And so but I
- 40:29Speaker 1: cannot miss. I cannot miss I I can, but I
- 40:32Speaker 1: really don't prefer missing, Like you know, my my morning sadna,
- 40:36Speaker 1: you know, rising with the sun and UM, doing uh
- 40:39Speaker 1: some asanas and brandi yamas and then in Korea and
- 40:44Speaker 1: then meditating UM for about an hour or so, and
- 40:48Speaker 1: then and then working my way into the flow of
- 40:50Speaker 1: the day whatever the day calls for. Oh, that sounds
- 40:54Speaker 1: so delicious, like that sounds like a feast to me
- 40:57Speaker 1: as you were describing it, UM, Because I'm really finding
- 41:03Speaker 1: that my practice. I couldn't fathom living without it, Like
- 41:09Speaker 1: it is my closest companion, Like my spiritual practice is
- 41:13Speaker 1: my best friend, you know, And even on a day
- 41:17Speaker 1: that's that I'm most tired, that's not something that would
- 41:19Speaker 1: ever not be on my list. And even just to
- 41:23Speaker 1: feel that feels so good, right, like especially especially knowing
- 41:27Speaker 1: all that you've walked through, like to even know like
- 41:32Speaker 1: for me recently you clicked and I was like, God,
- 41:33Speaker 1: that feels special to know that I have the ability
- 41:36Speaker 1: to meet my own needs in each moment. And that
- 41:39Speaker 1: may sound small or not, you know, not I think
- 41:42Speaker 1: people that have access that point understand the gravity to that.
- 41:47Speaker 1: But to just be able to know that each moment
- 41:49Speaker 1: is enough and whatever that looks like, yeah, that's beautiful.
- 41:54Speaker 1: That's that's realizing your enoughness, your your your wholeness, your fullness.
- 41:58Speaker 1: I think when we when we operate from a place
- 42:00Speaker 1: of lack, you know, we have so many needs, We
- 42:03Speaker 1: have so many needs when we operate from a place
- 42:06Speaker 1: of lack, But when we operate from a place of fullness,
- 42:09Speaker 1: there is total contentment and satisfaction with what is, and
- 42:12Speaker 1: we can just allow ourselves to be with what is
- 42:16Speaker 1: you know, and so stepping into you know mindfulness and
- 42:19Speaker 1: soulfulness and um are boundless nature, are infinite nature. Knowing
- 42:25Speaker 1: your infiniteness, knowing your boundlessness allows you to just get
- 42:29Speaker 1: out of lack and step into that limitless space of
- 42:33Speaker 1: just freedom, personal freedom, you know, because you know you
- 42:36Speaker 1: have access to everything in the cosmos, in the universe,
- 42:39Speaker 1: right here and right now, because it's all here and
- 42:41Speaker 1: it's all within you. You know, it's all happening within
- 42:44Speaker 1: you and it comes out of you and manifest in
- 42:46Speaker 1: the physical. What does freedom feel like to you if
- 42:50Speaker 1: you could give it a sensation or give it a
- 42:52Speaker 1: few words, What does it feel like if it resides
- 42:54Speaker 1: in you? Freedom at this point in time in my
- 42:57Speaker 1: life feels like vulnerable reality. Just being open to everything, everyone,
- 43:04Speaker 1: every circumstance, not resisting anything, not shying away, not um retreating,
- 43:11Speaker 1: and just being vulnerable to everything that is not sometimes
- 43:16Speaker 1: not even just surrender. Total surrender and vulnerability is freedom.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Like you have nothing, you have nothing to protect, you
- 43:23Speaker 1: have nothing to safeguard. You're just you're just there as
- 43:26Speaker 1: you you know, and you just allow yourself to be
- 43:28Speaker 1: there as you you know, and that that sets the
- 43:31Speaker 1: tone for others to come. That sets the tone for
- 43:35Speaker 1: others to come as they are, and then we can
- 43:38Speaker 1: all be as we are and and free from judgment
- 43:41Speaker 1: or you know, condemning each other or judging or like
- 43:44Speaker 1: it said, judging each other and just allowing ourselves to be.
- 43:48Speaker 1: And that allows a person to stand in their personal
- 43:50Speaker 1: power when they can be who they are, you know,
- 43:54Speaker 1: no matter how it comes out, how it looks, because
- 43:56Speaker 1: we're we're all just figuring this out, you know, as
- 43:58Speaker 1: we go, and so truly there's no wronger right, you know,
- 44:02Speaker 1: it's just truth, you know, and living your truth and
- 44:05Speaker 1: speak your truth, and that will set you free. You know.
- 44:09Speaker 1: It is especially yummy to me, and I'd love your
- 44:12Speaker 1: thoughts on this um when you come into a space
- 44:16Speaker 1: of non judgment with yourself, My favorite gift to give
- 44:20Speaker 1: others is non judgment. Like I I feel so passionate
- 44:24Speaker 1: about being able to hold space for the people in
- 44:27Speaker 1: my life and when they tell me something that is
- 44:30Speaker 1: really challenging for them, not um, not mirroring any of
- 44:35Speaker 1: it back to them, like being able to just hold
- 44:38Speaker 1: loving space, not fix it, which was the old me,
- 44:41Speaker 1: my old programming, not fix it right, like not try
- 44:44Speaker 1: to advise it, not try to manipulate it or change
- 44:47Speaker 1: it or get the person out of it, but to
- 44:49Speaker 1: just reflect non judgment back to them about whatever they're
- 44:54Speaker 1: holding um And it's such a revolutionary gift to give.
- 44:57Speaker 1: It really is, Like it sounds maybe simple, but we're
- 45:02Speaker 1: all trained to try to fix fix things. We're all
- 45:05Speaker 1: trained to try to be positive. Okay, well, you know
- 45:09Speaker 1: it's not as bad as everybody. You know, other people
- 45:11Speaker 1: have gone through worse or you know, all the things
- 45:13Speaker 1: that you tell people that are really just to alleviate
- 45:15Speaker 1: your own discomfort about their stories and their path. But
- 45:20Speaker 1: that non judgment piece, that's really it, Like each moment
- 45:24Speaker 1: being able to be with yourself and still accept yourself. Yeah,
- 45:29Speaker 1: I think it, you know, goes back to you know,
- 45:31Speaker 1: like you said, non judgment and acceptance of yourself and
- 45:34Speaker 1: that person as they are with all of their scars,
- 45:36Speaker 1: with all of their wounds, their traumas and everything that
- 45:39Speaker 1: they're offering to you as not as an offering unto
- 45:42Speaker 1: you to to take on, but an offering to to release.
- 45:45Speaker 1: You know. But when you like, if you create space
- 45:48Speaker 1: within yourself, you can hold space for others. You know,
- 45:51Speaker 1: the more space you create. That's why, like this week,
- 45:53Speaker 1: I've been fast and um creating you know, creating space
- 45:57Speaker 1: because when we fast, we we we we magnify the
- 46:00Speaker 1: etheric energy. And so you know, hold creating space within myself,
- 46:04Speaker 1: holding space within myself so that I can hold space,
- 46:07Speaker 1: um while I'm here in l A during these performances,
- 46:09Speaker 1: so that can hold space for the conversation, so I
- 46:11Speaker 1: can hold space for you know, our conversations and our interactions. UM.
- 46:16Speaker 1: So yeah, it's so very important to you know, you know,
- 46:19Speaker 1: first create space within yourself and whole space for yourself
- 46:23Speaker 1: and be non judgmental to yourself, as you said, so
- 46:26Speaker 1: that you can be that same way with others, um
- 46:28Speaker 1: and allow them because you know what it does for you,
- 46:31Speaker 1: you know, you know. And it's not like we have
- 46:33Speaker 1: to fix anything because you know, we work out our
- 46:35Speaker 1: own problems because our minds create the problems themselves in
- 46:38Speaker 1: our minds. So yeah, so it's all the creation of
- 46:41Speaker 1: our own beings. But when we have time, when we
- 46:43Speaker 1: have space to unravel before another person who's just holding
- 46:47Speaker 1: space for us, then we we just resting that and
- 46:50Speaker 1: we feel confided in that even if they give us
- 46:52Speaker 1: no advice, if they're just there as an ear and I,
- 46:55Speaker 1: you know, I'm just learning that more and more um
- 46:58Speaker 1: with my partner, my fiancee um to just you know,
- 47:01Speaker 1: just be there and she doesn't need my wisdom, she
- 47:04Speaker 1: doesn't need you know, my my words. She just needs
- 47:07Speaker 1: me to be there. And people just need you to
- 47:09Speaker 1: be there because they can work through it on their own.
- 47:11Speaker 1: It's just expressing it and getting those gears turning into
- 47:14Speaker 1: they just find that ah ha, that aha moment and
- 47:17Speaker 1: that or just release no total it's like and it's
- 47:22Speaker 1: to like the concept that is is really deeply rooted.
- 47:25Speaker 1: I think in Christianity, the idea of witnessing right, being
- 47:28Speaker 1: a witness, the way that I experience that through the
- 47:32Speaker 1: lens of my belief system is really that just means
- 47:35Speaker 1: being an observance of right, like being able to powerfully
- 47:38Speaker 1: observe yourself, being able to witness for another just I'm
- 47:42Speaker 1: just here to witness your process, not to inform it,
- 47:46Speaker 1: not to change it. But we deserve to be seen
- 47:51Speaker 1: like we deserve I don't know if that's the word,
- 47:56Speaker 1: but I was gonna, you know, I want to behold people, Yeah,
- 48:01Speaker 1: behold and whole space, you know, because I think that's
- 48:04Speaker 1: what meditation helps us to do is just because we're witnessing,
- 48:07Speaker 1: we're watching, we're observing thoughts as they come, as they go,
- 48:11Speaker 1: and that person in front of us, they are a
- 48:13Speaker 1: vessel of thoughts. They are an embodiment of thoughts, you know,
- 48:16Speaker 1: in different thoughts and different desires. And so when we
- 48:18Speaker 1: you know, in the meditative state or we're just risk
- 48:21Speaker 1: practicing mindfulness, we learn allowance, and with allowance just comes
- 48:25Speaker 1: grace and it ease because you understand things unravel, but
- 48:28Speaker 1: they work themselves out on their own. It's nothing that
- 48:31Speaker 1: we have to fix in our minds during meditation. It
- 48:33Speaker 1: just kind of just eases itself out. And then when
- 48:37Speaker 1: we start to practice that in our day to day life,
- 48:39Speaker 1: you know, off the mat and out of the out
- 48:43Speaker 1: of the asana, then we can out of the asana,
- 48:46Speaker 1: we can we can truly embody the teachings in a
- 48:49Speaker 1: practical way. And it's not just like, oh, I'm just
- 48:52Speaker 1: doing my spiritual work and oh I have to go
- 48:54Speaker 1: into life and just be a human, you know, and
- 48:57Speaker 1: things of that nature. But we can actually imbuy the
- 49:00Speaker 1: teachings in our in our day, in our day to
- 49:03Speaker 1: day life because they are meant to be embodied, not
- 49:05Speaker 1: just study, you know, not just you know, yeah, into
- 49:11Speaker 1: your heart, yeah, and integrate it into your life and
- 49:14Speaker 1: you know, into the into your relationships and every dynamic
- 49:17Speaker 1: and aspect of your life. And that's how we live
- 49:19Speaker 1: in the fullness of life, I think, you know, we
- 49:22Speaker 1: compartmentalize our lives. You know, this is for this, that person,
- 49:25Speaker 1: for this. I can only talk to you about this.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I can only go here for there, and we separate,
- 49:30Speaker 1: and that separate, That separation creates more illusion. That separation
- 49:33Speaker 1: creates a distance between ourselves and truth, ourselves and God.
- 49:36Speaker 1: And our separations are are create separation between ourselves and others,
- 49:41Speaker 1: you know. So the more we compartmentalize everything, we just
- 49:45Speaker 1: grow in the delusion and then in the illusion. I
- 49:50Speaker 1: love the way that you express that. Yeah, it's really
- 49:54Speaker 1: it's just it's all such a gift. You know. Sometimes
- 49:58Speaker 1: I'm fed up with Earth and I don't want to
- 50:00Speaker 1: be here in trash. Earth is the ghetto. And then
- 50:06Speaker 1: sometimes I'm just like, how awesome, Like what a beautiful learning, Yeah,
- 50:10Speaker 1: Like what a beautiful learning to choose this lifetime to
- 50:13Speaker 1: be this version of you and all the gifts that
- 50:16Speaker 1: it possesses, especially I think in quarantine. And we were
- 50:19Speaker 1: talking about this a bit um before we press record
- 50:22Speaker 1: on the mix, But what was your If you could
- 50:26Speaker 1: name one thing that you found to be the greatest
- 50:30Speaker 1: gift of the pandemic, what was it? Um, the I
- 50:36Speaker 1: would say the call to serve a greater capacity and
- 50:40Speaker 1: a greater capacity because I've I've been doing this work
- 50:44Speaker 1: behind the scenes for for about five or six years,
- 50:48Speaker 1: but I understand that life has been preparing me for
- 50:50Speaker 1: this moment so that I can guide people into themselves
- 50:54Speaker 1: as well. So for me, it was time to step
- 50:56Speaker 1: out of my introvertedness and step out of my cocoon
- 51:00Speaker 1: and really you know, help usher others back into their
- 51:03Speaker 1: cocoon or help us to introduce others to themselves as well.
- 51:07Speaker 1: So for me, that was the biggest gift is being
- 51:10Speaker 1: able to serve and um, people who so so desperately
- 51:13Speaker 1: needed a space to go, a space to be and
- 51:17Speaker 1: and cope and meditate. So um, just being able to
- 51:20Speaker 1: be there for people because I've been there, you know. Um,
- 51:24Speaker 1: My pad didn't probably happened in two thousand and sixteen
- 51:26Speaker 1: for me, and so I was just like I locked it.
- 51:29Speaker 1: But I for like two years, I probably didn't go
- 51:33Speaker 1: outside for anything, just for grocery. So I was kind
- 51:35Speaker 1: of like used used to this, like you know, lifestyle
- 51:38Speaker 1: of just being inside all the time, you know, studying, meditating.
- 51:42Speaker 1: That's when I you know, really begin to go in
- 51:43Speaker 1: where during that time for about two or three years,
- 51:48Speaker 1: and so you know, having people come into this space now,
- 51:50Speaker 1: it's like I already have a table prepared for you.
- 51:52Speaker 1: I got music, I got meditations, I have an apt
- 51:55Speaker 1: What do you need? I have it? Yeah, feast on this.
- 51:59Speaker 1: Yeah wow, yeah, it's there's been so many gifts it
- 52:05Speaker 1: really I love the way that has helped me re
- 52:08Speaker 1: understand time and how to use my time. And I
- 52:11Speaker 1: think my life post pandemic, post pandemic, excuse me, is
- 52:15Speaker 1: going to look more like my pandemic life than my
- 52:21Speaker 1: many ways. Like I think, um, I'm gonna be kind
- 52:24Speaker 1: of off limits for most people all the time because
- 52:29Speaker 1: I've just I've fallen in love and i have this
- 52:31Speaker 1: huge craving now, um for solitude. Yeah yeah, yeah, I
- 52:38Speaker 1: think especially because I'm more I'm an extrovert. Fully, um,
- 52:41Speaker 1: i think I'm an E M F J or something
- 52:43Speaker 1: in a Myers brig but my whole life was lived
- 52:46Speaker 1: out loud. And now I'm just like, I don't want
- 52:50Speaker 1: to ever be in performance, like in any moment. I
- 52:53Speaker 1: don't want to be forced to be an audience for someone.
- 52:55Speaker 1: And I also don't want to be pushed to perform
- 52:58Speaker 1: for anyone, you know. I want to flow with how
- 53:01Speaker 1: I'm actually feeling. I think we've all found our balants.
- 53:05Speaker 1: I think we've all found our balance and what we
- 53:07Speaker 1: can like our groove, and that's what you know, we
- 53:10Speaker 1: we and now we have the choice because we see
- 53:13Speaker 1: both both ends of the spectrum, and so now we
- 53:15Speaker 1: can find like a middle path that works best for
- 53:18Speaker 1: us and we can integrate. You know, what we learned
- 53:21Speaker 1: by being just out on the scene all the time
- 53:23Speaker 1: or extroverted or just being social or social butterfly, and
- 53:26Speaker 1: the things that we learned by just by being and
- 53:28Speaker 1: having the time to go inward and nurture ourselves and
- 53:31Speaker 1: take care of ourselves and um, you know, hold space
- 53:34Speaker 1: for ourselves. And so it's like emerging of the two worlds.
- 53:36Speaker 1: And I think the new Earth, the new the new
- 53:39Speaker 1: world that we um that we are curating, will be
- 53:42Speaker 1: somewhat of that sort of ease for everyone for everyone.
- 53:46Speaker 1: So people won't be too too demanding with your time,
- 53:49Speaker 1: and you won't be too demanding of other people's time,
- 53:51Speaker 1: and we'll just allow each other to just enjoy your
- 53:54Speaker 1: time alone. Hey, if you even your partners, if you
- 53:56Speaker 1: want to enjoy time alone and by yourself, then that's cool.
- 53:59Speaker 1: You know, we don't We won't probably make too much
- 54:01Speaker 1: of a fuss off, you know, just just the ease
- 54:04Speaker 1: of the ease that this you know, pandemic has has
- 54:07Speaker 1: given us. Yeah, yeah, we each deserve the dignity of
- 54:10Speaker 1: our process, whatever that is. So how can everybody connect
- 54:14Speaker 1: with you? First of all, I highly recommend everybody to
- 54:17Speaker 1: go into their iTunes store, Spotify wherever you listen to music,
- 54:21Speaker 1: check out the Stay Free album UM. And then after
- 54:23Speaker 1: you do that, there's five more albums to feast upon. UM.
- 54:29Speaker 1: Stay Free is the first one. There's also self Care Package,
- 54:32Speaker 1: Floral Escape, Sunflower Soul, Feminine Energy and Feels. And then
- 54:37Speaker 1: how can everyone connect with you? Um? I guess Instagram
- 54:42Speaker 1: and Twitter. My handle is lundrell UM or Facebook as
- 54:47Speaker 1: well and on any other platform you can find me
- 54:50Speaker 1: at Lundrell. Also, UM, I have I do have the
- 54:52Speaker 1: mobile Eternal Sunshine app the Mindfulness and Meditation app. So
- 54:56Speaker 1: that's a great way to just receive free UM. Sometimes
- 54:59Speaker 1: I do talk UM and some you know, most of
- 55:01Speaker 1: the times I do meditations on there. So that's so
- 55:04Speaker 1: that's a way to get you know, updates and news
- 55:06Speaker 1: on what I'm doing, where I'm at, where I'm touring,
- 55:08Speaker 1: where I'm having shows at UM. And yeah, those are
- 55:11Speaker 1: the three main ways to to stay in contact with me.
- 55:15Speaker 1: At the end of every show, I offer to each
- 55:17Speaker 1: guest UM the opportunity to share some soul work with
- 55:21Speaker 1: our listening audience. And so what that can look like
- 55:23Speaker 1: is either a thought to be savored, maybe a journal prompt,
