- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities CE OS and even royalty Adam Cox, these
- 0:21recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's world
- 0:24famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here. And in this hypnosis session,
- 0:42you're going to be listening to hypnosis all about changing the
- 0:46relationship with alcohol so it moves from something that feels
- 0:50like it's useful or necessary to something that just is not
- 0:55necessary at all. And I was working with a.
- 0:57Client that had. Recently used hypnosis to get
- 1:00clarity on whether or not they wanted to be in a relationship
- 1:04or not. And they had ended that
- 1:06relationship. And therefore it made sense to
- 1:09treat this part of their life as a new chapter and what kind of
- 1:13person they wanted to be in this new chapter.
- 1:17And also to take the thread of relationships and to think of if
- 1:21a relationship with alcohol was almost like a human
- 1:24relationship, what kind of relationship would it be?
- 1:27And is it the kind of relationship that they would
- 1:29still want to have? So there's a lot going on in
- 1:32this hypnosis session, but at its core, it is evolving an
- 1:37identity to someone that feels like they need alcohol or a lot
- 1:42of people have a belief or a story that in order to have fun,
- 1:46they need alcohol. In order to socialize, they need
- 1:48alcohol, and a lot of these beliefs aren't true, but they
- 1:51can really feel like they're true, and that's where the
- 1:55compulsions and the habits are built around.
- 1:58But there is a very useful way of thinking about alcohol, and
- 2:02that is that it dulls your senses and really distorts and
- 2:07creates noise for your intuition.
- 2:10And this particular client really valued their intuitive
- 2:14abilities, their ability to read people, to read their energy.
- 2:19And therefore framing alcohol as something that distorts their
- 2:22intuitive abilities and also their intuition with themself
- 2:26actually made alcohol even less appealing.
- 2:30Now your reasons may be different.
- 2:32Your reasons might be. That you just feeling.
- 2:35Like you're drinking too much, it's not good for your health.
- 2:37Or maybe you've gained weight because of too.
- 2:39Much drink. If you want to change your
- 2:42relationship with alcohol, this session may be useful because
- 2:46it's really about figuring out who don't you want to be anymore
- 2:49and what would your life be like if you either had no alcohol or
- 2:53low alcohol or alcohol on your terms Now, this particular
- 2:57client didn't want it to be no forever.
- 3:01It was no for now. And I think that's a really
- 3:03smart move if you're making the transition from drinking.
- 3:07To not drinking. And I've shared this on previous
- 3:10episodes. I've been about seven years.
- 3:13Without touching alcohol. And some people will ask me,
- 3:16will I have a drink again? And I say I'm not sure.
- 3:20I don't think I will and I don't plan to because I now have seven
- 3:24years of evidence that I really don't need it, and that's
- 3:28helpful. But when I started, it was
- 3:31really built around the framework of I won't drink for.
- 3:35Now and. That just continued.
- 3:38And some people, when they create this idea that they're
- 3:41going to give up something forever, actually paradoxically
- 3:45has the opposite effect. Suddenly they start feeling the
- 3:48fear of loss and they start craving it.
- 3:50So if you want to have a different relationship with
- 3:53alcohol, I would encourage you to consider going without
- 3:56alcohol for a few months, maybe a year, and evaluate a new
- 4:01relationship with your life where alcohol is not a
- 4:04requirement in order for you to enjoy social occasions or enjoy
- 4:08the weekend or whatever it might be.
- 4:10And there are lots of health benefits.
- 4:12There's recently been a study where one of the myths that said
- 4:16that red wine, for example, is good for your heart or alcohol
- 4:20is good for relaxation and dealing with stress have proved
- 4:23to be myths. I'll do a separate recording
- 4:26about the six myths of alcohol very soon.
- 4:29But for now, just know that it's highly likely that if you have
- 4:33beliefs and stories that require you to have alcohol, it's
- 4:36probably built on myths and misconceptions.
- 4:40Now you might get some value from this.
- 4:41Please be aware it was created for an individual.
- 4:43So if you like the idea of working with me, there will be a
- 4:46link to lots of different resources, free courses, free
- 4:49downloads, a suitability test, and even a way to schedule a
- 4:53free consultation call with me. Check out those links in the
- 4:56description. But for now, find a quiet,
- 4:58comfortable place where you won't be distracted or
- 5:01disturbed. Relax and enjoy the.
- 5:03Session. Take a deep breath in and as you
- 5:32breathe in, breathe in that slow, calm feeling of relaxation
- 5:42and as you exhale, give permission to release any
- 5:49emotions that have been rising to the surface recently.
- 5:55Any grief, any regrets, any sadness or stress or tension.
- 6:04Notice what comes up and allow. It.
- 6:09To be released and as you breathe in, choose to breathe in
- 6:17the feeling of resourceful clarity.
- 6:23Almost like if you've tasted something with a strong taste,
- 6:31drinking water can clean the pallet.
- 6:37So as you breathe in that resourceful clarity, imagine it
- 6:45wiping the slate clean, giving you a clear read, allowing any
- 6:55heavy emotions to be released, and enabling you to pick up.
- 7:03On. Subtle emotions, feelings or
- 7:08intuitive thoughts as you start to get a feeling that your ideal
- 7:19baseline is that of clarity. Some people believe that.
- 7:29Emotions are signposts. That no emotion is good or bad.
- 7:37They're all useful if you can interpret the emotions in the
- 7:43right way. Frustration can be an
- 7:49opportunity for change, anger for a new boundary.
- 7:58I want you to get a sense that anything that interferes without
- 8:04clarity mean that it deprives you of interpreting the
- 8:12emotional signposts and navigating your life in the way
- 8:18that serves you most. And I want you to get a feeling
- 8:24that some things can enhance that intuitive connection and
- 8:33other things, other things can distort it.
- 8:41I want you to get a sense that if you had a paint can of paint
- 8:47that was pure white, all it would take is 1 tiny drop of a
- 8:56strong color like purple or blue or red and it would distort all
- 9:03of that white paint. And we need to get a feeling
- 9:08that clarity is like that white paint.
- 9:15And to some extent alcohol is adding new colours to the paint.
- 9:24And sometimes those colours are fun and vibrant, but they
- 9:29distort that baseline reading. In the past that's been fine,
- 9:42but every now and then it's good.
- 9:46It's good to end a relationship that no longer serves you and
- 9:53replace it with something that aligns with who you are now, not
- 9:59who you have been. And as you breathe in, then pure
- 10:07resourceful clarity, continue to exhale.
- 10:12Those colors of distortion get a sense that the deeper you
- 10:17breathe, the more clarity you connect with and the more
- 10:22relaxed you feel. And the more relaxed you feel,
- 10:26the deeper you breathe, each breath taking you deeper and
- 10:34deeper relaxed. As your body relaxes, your
- 10:38imagination awakens. And I wonder.
- 10:42If you could imagine what it would be like to be in the
- 10:49desert surrounded by dunes, I want you to.
- 10:57Imagine. It's at night, no one else
- 11:01around, but because of the light from the stars and perhaps the
- 11:10moon, you can. See the shapes?
- 11:14Of those rolling dunes. And the absence of sound gives
- 11:21you clarity as to everything that's around.
- 11:27When there is silence, you can hear something quiet.
- 11:31When it's noisy, that same sound is hidden.
- 11:37And I want you to think of alcohol as being like noise.
- 11:42How can you hear what you need to hear if noise can hide what
- 11:53has always been there? I want you to imagine right now
- 12:05is the edge of a chapter that has just ended, and not with
- 12:12regret and not with loss, but with understanding that
- 12:19relationship served a purpose, you have wisdom and lessons and
- 12:27you know more about who you were and
- 12:42And notice how different this feels when the ending is
- 12:47refinement, Evolution. Not a loss, just a change, a
- 12:55conscious decision to step forward rather than drift
- 13:00sideways. No failure, no regrets.
- 13:07Just discernment. Empowered discernment and
- 13:15somewhere inside part of you. Already.
- 13:18Knows that this ending opens doors, new possibilities, space
- 13:29for new experiences. Not an ending, but a beginning.
- 13:37And as you connect with that empowered feeling at the end of
- 13:42that relationship, allow another relationship to come into your
- 13:47awareness. The relationship you used to
- 13:51have with alcohol. And instead of thinking of it as
- 13:57a drink or a substance, think of it as a person you once knew.
- 14:06If they had a personality, what was their personality?
- 14:10Was the dynamic? How frequent were they in your
- 14:14life? Sometimes there, sometimes not,
- 14:20sometimes there for celebrations and sometimes there to relax.
- 14:27But notice how this relationship was never essential, never a
- 14:32dependency, just and nice to have.
- 14:41And now they're in the dunes thinking about that
- 14:44relationship. You can observe that
- 14:49relationship honestly. Sometimes people have the
- 14:56illusion of clarity when drinking, but that alcohol never
- 15:03gave you clarity. It gave you an illusion of
- 15:08clarity and it never gave you energy.
- 15:14It took future energy and that created an energy deficit.
- 15:23It never expanded you. If anything, it narrowed your
- 15:27perception, distorted your intuition, Hanford your
- 15:35connection to yourself. And just as with your recent
- 15:44relationship, you can acknowledge this without
- 15:49judgement, because your relationship with alcohol also
- 15:55served a chapter. But what if now that chapter is
- 16:01complete, I want you to imagine inviting that relationship with
- 16:11alcohol as if it was a person there with you on the dunes.
- 16:19Imagine talking with that part. Let it know the truth based on
- 16:25how you feel now. Maybe it feels like a break up
- 16:34conversation, you respect that role that it had in your past,
- 16:44maybe gave you good times, but for now it's not necessary, no
- 16:53longer needed. And notice the power in your
- 16:59words as you communicate that to the representation of alcohol.
- 17:11This isn't off limits. It's not forbidden.
- 17:16Because you. Know that you can drink, and yet
- 17:20you choose not to. It's not from restriction, but
- 17:26from alignment, because your refinement evolution knows that
- 17:35clarity feels better than dullness, and energy feels
- 17:40better than recovery, and intuition feels better than
- 17:47noise. And that's the most important, a
- 17:54clear reading of your intuition. And I want you to introduce a
- 18:02new relationship. Welcome the version of you that
- 18:09doesn't need alcohol and doesn't want it.
- 18:14Say goodbye to that previous relationship and see the version
- 18:19of you from your future that has been thriving without it.
- 18:26See the identity of someone who can live fully, feel deeply,
- 18:33celebrate freely, and connect authentically without needing
- 18:42anything external to access those states.
- 18:48See the facial expression of pride on that version of you.
- 18:55Not performative, not preachy, just solid.
- 19:02That version of you is someone that others notice is clear,
- 19:11grounded, and present. Like you're a role model without
- 19:16trying to be a positive influence.
- 19:21Simply by example. Someone aligned with health,
- 19:27longevity, values, and intuition.
- 19:31And each and every time you choose not to drink, what if it
- 19:36reinforces A deeper message to yourself that you trust your
- 19:42intuition? You value health and vitality.
- 19:49Someone not willing to trade clarity for comfort.
- 19:57And I want you to go on a journey.
- 20:00With that version of you and see your future, see that future
- 20:05version of you living this version of you fully.
- 20:13See you in the very situations you would have normally been
- 20:17drinking and are choosing not to.
- 20:22Observe how conversations feel richer, how attraction feels
- 20:30more aligned, how intuition becomes easier to read and more
- 20:37importantly, easier to trust. And I want you to imagine
- 20:44observing yourself on future dates and interactions.
- 20:52See that version of you? Perfectly.
- 20:55Comfortable without alcohol, able to evaluate, connect, read
- 21:07chemistry or the lack of it. And I want you to see how this
- 21:13enhances your ability to find the relationship that is
- 21:22synergistic, not just complementary.
- 21:28They enhance you and you enhance them, and that's easier to find
- 21:35when your intuition has a clear read.
- 21:40See how that relationship could evolve and you don't see their
- 21:47face, just their qualities. And notice how that relationship
- 21:53feels different because it's chosen by the new you, not the
- 22:01old patterns of the old you. And I want you to see how every
- 22:08area of your life is enhanced. Friendships, relationships,
- 22:15creativity, ideas, health and fitness, adventure,
- 22:24spirituality, connection. All enhanced when alcohol is not
- 22:32needed, not wanted, is there, but you're choosing not to drink
- 22:38it. And as that understanding
- 22:43settles in, you don't need to force anything.
- 22:48No rule, no pressure, just a desire to prioritize clarity, to
- 22:57really lean into the value system that already exists
- 23:00within you. But your new chapter is all
- 23:06about alignment, clarity, and becoming more of your true self,
- 23:12not less. And then return back to the
- 23:19dunes with that future version of you and then feel like you're
- 23:22merging into one. Know what it would feel like to
- 23:29be without alcohol for at least a year, always from an empowered
- 23:35choice, knowing that whatever happens after that, you can be
- 23:43absolutely clear that you do not need it.
- 23:52That's it. And as you connect without
- 23:56feeling, you get a sense that you're looking forward to this
- 24:00new chapter, An empowered, discerning, intuitive chapter.
- 24:09And allow your body to float back all the way to the present
- 24:13as you take a deep breath in through your nose and out
- 24:19through your nose. Wiggle your fingers, wiggle your
- 24:23toes. Connect and calibrate into the
- 24:25here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken
- 24:32you. Starting to count 123.
- 24:37Waking up 456. More alert 7-8.
- 24:43Open your eyes. Open your eyes, 910.
- 24:47Wide awake, Wide awake. Wide awake.
