- 1:01Speaker 2: have to go to school in the morning. It's a
- 1:05Speaker 2: school night for some of us, is it, yes, So

- 1:19Speaker 2: early and ad free, and plus you get to shoot
- 1:21Speaker 2: the Pooh each week, which we'll save all of our
- 1:24Speaker 2: chit chat for that this week, because I we have
- 1:26Speaker 2: some things to talk about.
- 1:28Speaker 3: We got nothing to talk about.
- 1:30Speaker 2: No, we do we have the neighbors that have annoyed
- 1:34Speaker 2: me again? We have. I've started I'm gonna start a
- 1:38Speaker 2: new thing where I share. I share with you controversial
- 1:44Speaker 2: TikTok things for the week and then get your reaction.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Remember I told you about the girl with the lunch
- 1:51Speaker 2: and the husband. There's another one similar situation that everybody's
- 1:55Speaker 2: in an uproar over on TikTok about this one.
- 1:58Speaker 3: While everybody's in an uproar over the filming as well.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yes, anyways, yeah, I told Remember I told you about
- 2:05Speaker 2: the one where the guy said he packed his wife
- 2:07Speaker 2: for lunch and he said it was a joke and
- 2:09Speaker 2: he packed her dog food and stuff like that. Anyways,
- 2:12Speaker 2: but we'll talk about it more in depth. The other
- 2:14Speaker 2: one I'm not going to tell him about until we
- 2:15Speaker 2: actually record the episode anyways, and then we have TikTok.
- 2:20Speaker 2: I've been doing great over there, Stew. Just I mean
- 2:23Speaker 2: Instagram and Facebook. I don't gain any new followers, but TikTok,
- 2:27Speaker 2: we're doing good over there. I share everything on TikTok
- 2:31Speaker 2: with It's it's all my recommendations for true crime episodes
- 2:36Speaker 2: is what I've been sharing, Stew.
- 2:38Speaker 3: It's still the same thing that's on Facebook and Instagram.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Yes, yes, I share it to them as well. Even
- 2:44Speaker 2: though Instagram and Facebook are unappreciative of my content.
- 2:49Speaker 3: They don't push your algorithm.
- 2:50Speaker 2: No, they don't like me like the Chinese overlords do
- 2:53Speaker 2: over there. So anyways, and then, uh, what else? Oh right,
- 3:01Speaker 2: I already said that.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Yeah, you said that.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Buy me a coffee. All right, We're gonna go ahead
- 3:05Speaker 2: and get into this episode, like I said, because it's
- 3:07Speaker 2: already nine forty five on a Tuesday night and I
- 3:09Speaker 2: have to go to work in the morning, and I
- 3:10Speaker 2: wanted to start writing my morning pages. You don't know
- 3:13Speaker 2: what that is to doue. But remember I told, I
- 3:16Speaker 2: said last week I was going to start my curriculum,
- 3:19Speaker 2: my monthly curriculum that I saw on TikTok.
- 3:21Speaker 3: See. I didn't ask you what that was, okay, I
- 3:24Speaker 3: was just ating my eyes away.
- 3:27Speaker 2: So there's a book called The Artist Way. It's about
- 3:31Speaker 2: like recraming, reclaiming your creativity, and part of it is
- 3:35Speaker 2: morning pages. So you're just supposed to stream of conscious
- 3:38Speaker 2: three pages every morning right when you wake up, just
- 3:41Speaker 2: go sick, make your coffee, and then just write.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Can read this?
- 3:45Speaker 2: Oh absolutely not No, one's supposed to ship You're not.
- 3:51Speaker 2: That would have been exactly what I wrote earlier tonight.
- 3:54Speaker 2: But no, you're not even supposed to reread them. It's
- 3:58Speaker 2: just supposed to be like you're supposed to to just
- 4:00Speaker 2: get h it out of your brain, just everything it
- 4:04Speaker 2: can be. You can be writing and be like, I
- 4:05Speaker 2: don't want to write all this. Why am I having
- 4:07Speaker 2: to write this? This is stupid? I hate writing morning.
- 4:10Speaker 2: You can even write that if you want to, you're
- 4:12Speaker 2: just like just she calls it a brain drain, which
- 4:18Speaker 2: I like better than people call them brain dumps, and
- 4:21Speaker 2: I hate them. I just hate that word, a brain grumper,
- 4:26Speaker 2: Like why don't we have to put dump on it?
- 4:29Speaker 2: I don't care or like, uh, they'll do like crock
- 4:32Speaker 2: pot meals and they'll be like dump mells or whatever,
- 4:36Speaker 2: like no, because you dump everything for the bat.
- 4:39Speaker 3: No, let's not call let's not call it a dump.
- 4:42Speaker 2: No, it's so disgusting anyway, So I gotta get to
- 4:46Speaker 2: bed tonight so I can try it. But my of course,
- 4:49Speaker 2: I had to order special journals from Amazon to make
- 4:52Speaker 2: this happened for me, so they won't be here to
- 4:54Speaker 2: tell tomorrow. So I'm off the hook tomorrow morning.
- 4:57Speaker 3: I guess one hour I was wondering what showed up today.
- 4:59Speaker 3: I was looking and I was like, what the hell are these?
- 5:01Speaker 2: Okay, I'm just telling you right now. I ordered a
- 5:02Speaker 2: couple of journals for my morning pages. And I also
- 5:06Speaker 2: ordered a new keyboard at work because I'm becoming growingly
- 5:09Speaker 2: depressed at work and I need something that brings me
- 5:11Speaker 2: joy at work.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Okay, what'd you get me?
- 5:16Speaker 2: I got you those whatever that thing is that you love.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Yes, the spark arrestors for our chimneys.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yes, that's what I got you. And some replacement triple
- 5:26Speaker 2: A batteries because I took all of them used doing
- 5:28Speaker 2: my Harry Potter candles. Anyways, all right, so let's move
- 5:31Speaker 2: on from that, all right. So now to our case
- 5:34Speaker 2: out of South Carolina.
- 5:36Speaker 3: For somebody that was going to get straight to it,
- 5:37Speaker 3: you sure did babble a lot.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Well, that was a preview for a shoot the poof.
- 5:41Speaker 2: So if you hated that, then do not sign up
- 5:43Speaker 2: for Pedro. Do not do yourself a favor, all right.
- 5:47Speaker 2: So Lindsay Nicole Lee Nay Pillington was born September nineteenth,
- 5:52Speaker 2: nineteen eighty five, in Searcy, Arkansas. We know somebody else
- 5:55Speaker 2: who was born September nineteenth, don't we see, Yes, we
- 5:57Speaker 2: do Lindsay's parents, and it's Deborah. And Steven would welcome
- 6:02Speaker 2: another daughter a few years later, named Christa. Needing to
- 6:05Speaker 2: make ends meet, Lindsay's father joined the military and they
- 6:08Speaker 2: began moving around the country as well as overseas like Germany. Great.
- 6:15Speaker 2: We had a great time, yes in Heidelberg, in Germany.
- 6:20Speaker 2: We would like to go back to Heidelberg, all right.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Lindsay did well moving around. She was one of those
- 6:26Speaker 2: people that could easily make friends. So she didn't really
- 6:28Speaker 2: have that hard adjustment that some military kids have that
- 6:32Speaker 2: don't do well jumping from school to school. But she
- 6:35Speaker 2: wasn't like that. She was able to just easily, like
- 6:39Speaker 2: kind of get with the people that were there and
- 6:40Speaker 2: make new friends. And she was also an excellent student
- 6:43Speaker 2: now as a young girl and through high school. Lindsay
- 6:46Speaker 2: also they talked about her struggling with her weight, and
- 6:49Speaker 2: that was the one thing that always kind of bothered
- 6:51Speaker 2: her that she couldn't quite get under control. I get you, Lindsey,
- 6:56Speaker 2: I was real good. But the thing is is, you
- 6:59Speaker 2: know what, when I look back and I thought I
- 7:01Speaker 2: was fat, and I'm like, showed you that whatever I
- 7:05Speaker 2: thought I was fat, I was not fat at all.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Like it's it's crazy how that works. Do Anyways, In
- 7:12Speaker 2: two thousand and three, the family moved to South Carolina.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Now by two thousand and eight, Lindsay was working at
- 7:17Speaker 2: a local bank, and this is where she meets Jason Lee.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Earl. Huh, my name is Earl?
- 7:23Speaker 2: Is that what his name is?
- 7:24Speaker 3: I believe?
- 7:25Speaker 2: So, oh, let's not get started on the stew on
- 7:27Speaker 2: the ending of Earl, all right, that was one of
- 7:34Speaker 2: the first things I learned about Stu when I started
- 7:36Speaker 2: eating he was. He was very upset about the non
- 7:38Speaker 2: ending of my name is Earl.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Yes, it still chaps my ass to this day.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I had to watch all the seasons with you, all right.
- 7:46Speaker 2: So Jason Lee, he was there to work on a vault.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Now they hit it off, and next thing you know,
- 7:50Speaker 2: they are getting married. Now. The family really liked Jason.
- 7:54Speaker 2: He was funny, he was nice, he was always ready
- 7:57Speaker 2: to help out anybody that asked. And there was really
- 8:00Speaker 2: no issue with Lindsay wanting to marry Jason. They were
- 8:03Speaker 2: all cool with it. Now. In September twenty ten, Jason
- 8:07Speaker 2: and Lindsay are married and they would settle in West Columbia,
- 8:11Speaker 2: South Carolina to start their lives together. Oh it's always
- 8:15Speaker 2: starts off that way.
- 8:17Speaker 3: It does so nice.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Shortly after the marriage began, they started to have problems.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Oh no, go figure, been there. What are you talking about?
- 8:30Speaker 2: Well, the problem was is we were together for what
- 8:32Speaker 2: seven years before we got married or not? The problem?
- 8:36Speaker 3: Rarely you consider it a problem. Okay, so oh the
- 8:38Speaker 3: truth comes out.
- 8:40Speaker 2: No, I'm saying no, if you look back on a relationship,
- 8:42Speaker 2: if we had gotten married two years into our relationship
- 8:45Speaker 2: like most people do, a year and a half, two years,
- 8:47Speaker 2: we would have had problems because we had problems around
- 8:50Speaker 2: that time, I.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Would say, you don't think would be together.
- 8:54Speaker 2: No, we would have freaking gotten a divorce and yeah,
- 8:57Speaker 2: it went our separate ways and there would be no Poot. No,
- 9:00Speaker 2: not Poot, Poots the baby that's not her real name.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Poot's the baby that's her code name. Nobody can find her. So, yes,
- 9:10Speaker 3: they started having problems. Both Lindsey and Jason would complain
- 9:13Speaker 3: to their friends and family that the other one was
- 9:16Speaker 3: lazy and unmotivated and just overall complaining about their partner too.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Which stranger do this like I unless it's really bad,
- 9:26Speaker 2: I guess, And you're just trying to get somebody to help,
- 9:29Speaker 2: like encourage you to leave them. I don't think that
- 9:31Speaker 2: you should be complaining about them on it all the
- 9:37Speaker 2: time to family, especially your family. Friends is one thing,
- 9:40Speaker 2: but your family, because then they're never gonna forget. Like
- 9:43Speaker 2: you might move on from those friends, but that family,
- 9:45Speaker 2: they're always around.
- 9:46Speaker 3: They're gonna be like, oh yeah, it's gonna be a
- 9:48Speaker 3: hell of a Thanksgiving dinner. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he told me,
- 9:52Speaker 3: she told me what you did. I don't even watch
- 9:55Speaker 3: you at my table. That kind of thing. Christmases get
- 9:59Speaker 3: very awkward.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Yes, forever.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Ever, they're never going to forgive. Now. Both of them
- 10:06Speaker 3: like to spend money, and they like to go out
- 10:08Speaker 3: and eat, and they like to go shopping. So they're
- 10:10Speaker 3: digging themselves a financial hole, and they will get themselves
- 10:13Speaker 3: in a bind with money more often than that. Lindsey
- 10:17Speaker 3: continued to gain weight through all of this due to
- 10:19Speaker 3: the frequent eating out and just not taking care of herself.
- 10:22Speaker 2: It's really, it's.
- 10:25Speaker 3: It's really.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Uh what's the word. Oh my god, there's one of
- 10:31Speaker 2: them blue stickers do from the moving No, Jesus, whenever
- 10:34Speaker 2: they move you we're in the closet still whenever they move,
- 10:38Speaker 2: because I moved for work, so they provided movers. But
- 10:41Speaker 2: you will find these. They put these stupid blue numbers
- 10:44Speaker 2: tags on everything you own, and you will find them.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure until you die. I think whenever they
- 10:49Speaker 2: go unplug the machine that you're getting, they'll pull one
- 10:52Speaker 2: of them blue stickers. Yes, but I was gonna say,
- 10:55Speaker 2: it's just uh, it's a it's what is it a
- 10:59Speaker 2: bad coincidence that you're reading the portion about her gaining
- 11:02Speaker 2: weight as a man like.
- 11:04Speaker 3: She just kept on eating, just kept on, kept on,
- 11:07Speaker 3: went to the buffet and kept on grazing. Didn't miss
- 11:11Speaker 3: a meal at the Gold Corral.
- 11:12Speaker 2: This is important to the story though, This is what
- 11:15Speaker 2: leads us into, you know, a lifestyle change and things
- 11:19Speaker 2: like that.
- 11:19Speaker 3: Yes, now, as one might imagine, as she's gaining weight,
- 11:24Speaker 3: her self esteem is continuing to plummet.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Do I didn't want it just to sound like Stew's just.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Like bagging on the bagging on this chicks.
- 11:32Speaker 2: For gaining weight. Don't worry, Jason plumped up as well.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Yep, so her gaining weight. Her self esteem going down
- 11:39Speaker 3: did not help her relationship with Jason. Now. Jason had
- 11:42Speaker 3: also let himself go during this time, and in twenty fourteen,
- 11:47Speaker 3: Jason decided he was going to hit the gym. He'd
- 11:49Speaker 3: had enough. He became very involved with his gym and
- 11:52Speaker 3: he decided to try to get Lindsey to come with
- 11:54Speaker 3: him so that they would have an activity to do
- 11:56Speaker 3: together and maybe heal some of their marriage. He just
- 12:00Speaker 3: wanted her to.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Lose weight too, and then she murdered him.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Then and that's when she killed him.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I got that she would ever asked me to go
- 12:09Speaker 2: to the gym.
- 12:14Speaker 3: By twenty fifteen, Lindsey decides to start going to the
- 12:17Speaker 3: gym and she just falls in love with it. She
- 12:21Speaker 3: finds a trainer that really motivates her and she begins
- 12:25Speaker 3: losing weight. Over about a year, she loses about one
- 12:28Speaker 3: hundred pounds. Her love of fitness then spread into the
- 12:32Speaker 3: judo classes and she began going to competitions. With these competitions,
- 12:37Speaker 3: her training schedule increased and they were more intense, but
- 12:41Speaker 3: she loved it. Also during this time, she got a
- 12:43Speaker 3: new job at the Sheriff's Department, working in the IT department.
- 12:47Speaker 3: And the department twice, department department.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Yes, the department of departments.
- 12:53Speaker 3: The department of it at the Sheriff's department. She was
- 12:56Speaker 3: really confident and she was feeling very positive about herself
- 13:00Speaker 3: off and her life. About this time, Jason decided, Hey,
- 13:05Speaker 3: I'm gonna impregnate you. You just lost you just lost you
- 13:09Speaker 3: up all this weight, so it's better time to knock
- 13:12Speaker 3: you up now. Lindsay is like, I don't want to
- 13:16Speaker 3: get large and it'll halt all this progress, so I
- 13:19Speaker 3: don't want to have any children.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Basically, well, no, it don't make it. It's not that
- 13:22Speaker 2: she it's not because she was.
- 13:25Speaker 3: A contributing factor. No, it was implied.
- 13:29Speaker 2: It might have been implied, But I think she just
- 13:31Speaker 2: really she was really loving, like the I think when
- 13:35Speaker 2: something like this happens, when you just change, like there's
- 13:38Speaker 2: a very you're a very different person. If you didn't
- 13:40Speaker 2: care about going to the gym and now you're a gym.
- 13:42Speaker 2: We talked about this with a CrossFit person. Yes, if
- 13:45Speaker 2: you turn into a CrossFit person, you're a it's like
- 13:48Speaker 2: like you're a different person, you know, And so I
- 13:51Speaker 2: think it just changed her, changed what she values, what
- 13:55Speaker 2: she saw going, and I think she didn't. She was
- 13:58Speaker 2: starting to think she didn't want children at all. Ever,
- 14:01Speaker 2: she just really loved I mean, she's confident and happy
- 14:04Speaker 2: in doing something she loves for the first time. I
- 14:06Speaker 2: mean that could have changed down the road, but at
- 14:08Speaker 2: this time she's like, no, I don't want to care,
- 14:09Speaker 2: I don't want to do nice weighing me down.
- 14:11Speaker 3: No, yeah, I'm beginning up at two am doing two
- 14:13Speaker 3: am feedings? Are you crazy?
- 14:15Speaker 2: Well, if you do the right classes, the taking care
- 14:17Speaker 2: of babies, not.
- 14:18Speaker 3: For the ace week first a thirty six eight weeks.
- 14:20Speaker 2: It's a bit rough, but all of our slept through
- 14:23Speaker 2: the night starting eight weeks, just saying okay taking care
- 14:27Speaker 2: of babies. And no, I'm not the owner of the course.
- 14:30Speaker 3: That's just the lady's name happens to be the same name.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Lindsay continues her judo journey and has made friends with
- 14:39Speaker 3: her trainer. But during this time, Jason's desire to go
- 14:42Speaker 3: to judo is dropping off and he eventually quit. So
- 14:46Speaker 3: this one thing that they were doing together they are
- 14:49Speaker 3: no longer.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Doing together, and it is a mail trainer Phokus Wah
- 14:54Speaker 2: mail trainer.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Now.
- 14:55Speaker 2: In April twenty sixteen, the relationship finally comes to an
- 14:58Speaker 2: end when Lindsay sits Jason and says I'm done and
- 15:01Speaker 2: she wants to get out of this marriage now. During
- 15:05Speaker 2: this time, Lindsay moves in with her mother and Jason
- 15:07Speaker 2: starts a new job that is about two hours away
- 15:10Speaker 2: and moves into an apartment nearby. It didn't seem like
- 15:12Speaker 2: he put up much of a fuss over ending the marriage.
- 15:15Speaker 3: It just.
- 15:17Speaker 2: He just kind of accepted it.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Well, if she don't want to have children, that's what
- 15:20Speaker 3: he wants, you got to go part part the sheets.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Well, he eventually didn't accept it, I guess. Now, once
- 15:27Speaker 2: Jason is out of the house, Lindsey decides to move
- 15:29Speaker 2: back because since his did I mention the apartment, he
- 15:34Speaker 2: gets a job two hours away, so he moves into
- 15:36Speaker 2: an apartment. So now there's just their house that they
- 15:38Speaker 2: had lived in and it's just sitting in their vacance.
- 15:40Speaker 2: She's like, okay, well I'm gonna move back in there
- 15:43Speaker 2: and start to work on fixing it up so that
- 15:45Speaker 2: we can sell it and split the asset. Now Jason
- 15:48Speaker 2: agrees to this and even agrees to help Lindsay fix
- 15:51Speaker 2: up the place. Now it is a pretty amical divorce process.
- 15:55Speaker 2: At this point, Jason even began dating other women and
- 15:58Speaker 2: everything seemed to be going well for too and by
- 16:01Speaker 2: March of twenty seventeen, they were on the path to
- 16:03Speaker 2: go ahead and finalize this divorce.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Nice.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Yes, it did take a while, but I guess they
- 16:10Speaker 2: were just working through everything. But they got to fix
- 16:13Speaker 2: up the house before they can sell it.
- 16:15Speaker 3: So yeah, I'm not gonna mean if you don't have
- 16:19Speaker 3: a value on the house while you're fixing it, I
- 16:22Speaker 3: guess you can't really come to an agreement.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Well, but you can come to agreement and say, well
- 16:27Speaker 2: I'll get half. Well, no, whenever. Okay, So a friend
- 16:32Speaker 2: of mine got divorced recently, En Sotel, tell you you
- 16:37Speaker 2: know who got divorced.
- 16:38Speaker 3: I don't know. I didn't even know you had friends.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Okay, Well, a lady I work with. God, Oh, a
- 16:45Speaker 2: lady I work with got divorced, and she was spilling
- 16:48Speaker 2: the tea on her. I was trying to help her
- 16:50Speaker 2: with I was trying to help her make some decisions
- 16:54Speaker 2: and everything because for some reason that she thinks I'm wise. Anyways,
- 16:57Speaker 2: so the judge in their case, they the judge set
- 17:02Speaker 2: a price that if someone offered this much money, they
- 17:05Speaker 2: had to take it so they could get more for it.
- 17:11Speaker 2: They could agree to less sell it for less, but
- 17:13Speaker 2: there was a there was a number that if someone
- 17:16Speaker 2: offered that, the other person could be like, no, you
- 17:17Speaker 2: can't sell it because they don't want to get into Yeah,
- 17:21Speaker 2: you can't get into a situation where someone's just refusing
- 17:23Speaker 2: to sell it because and claiming. And it was it
- 17:28Speaker 2: was like five or six thousand below what they were
- 17:31Speaker 2: listing or whatever, and that was the price where if
- 17:34Speaker 2: someone offers that, then you sell it. And it was
- 17:37Speaker 2: it was to keep someone from controlling because in this
- 17:39Speaker 2: situation she had the.
- 17:41Speaker 3: It was not an amicable dema.
- 17:43Speaker 1: No, it was not.
- 17:44Speaker 2: In this case, she had a controlling person on the
- 17:47Speaker 2: other side, and he would have continued to say, I'm
- 17:51Speaker 2: not selling it for that much. I'm not selling that much.
- 17:53Speaker 2: So that may have been the hold up. They said, well,
- 17:56Speaker 2: wait until you have it where you want it, and
- 17:58Speaker 2: then maybe the judge sets a price that says you
- 18:01Speaker 2: have to sell it at that point so one of
- 18:03Speaker 2: them can't drag this on forever. Possibly because they didn't
- 18:08Speaker 2: have any children to like splitter or.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Anything like that, they didn't talk about a dog or
- 18:11Speaker 3: a cat that they had to pay.
- 18:12Speaker 2: They just had a house that they had to split.
- 18:14Speaker 2: So I guess, I guess if everything's going fine too,
- 18:17Speaker 2: and you're just working on the house together, you might
- 18:19Speaker 2: as well just.
- 18:20Speaker 3: Wait til you get it done and get it a praise. Yeah,
- 18:24Speaker 3: then't decide how much you're gonna split it for. On
- 18:27Speaker 3: March fourteenth, twenty seventeen, co workers are concerned when Lindsey
- 18:31Speaker 3: fails to show up for work at the Lexington County
- 18:35Speaker 3: Sheriff's Department. Lindsay was always one of the first people
- 18:38Speaker 3: there because she worked different hours so that she could
- 18:40Speaker 3: fit her judo training.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Schedules, and she was dedicated.
- 18:44Speaker 3: She was She's like, I can't come into work today
- 18:47Speaker 3: at this time, so I gotta work these hours. I
- 18:49Speaker 3: gotta go kung fu.
- 18:51Speaker 2: She's probably one of these like which she worked in it,
- 18:53Speaker 2: so she'd probably do a lot of stuff. But what
- 18:54Speaker 2: if they needed it support later in the day.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Lindsay she's a remote worker. Probably.
- 19:00Speaker 2: I don't think she was remote because they mean she
- 19:02Speaker 2: could work remote.
- 19:04Speaker 3: I'm sure she could work remote. I don't know if
- 19:07Speaker 3: she had to make up some hours.
- 19:09Speaker 2: It depends on what she had access to on the
- 19:12Speaker 2: remote computer.
- 19:14Speaker 3: It always does. Yeah, okay, that was your input.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm tired, let's just see Jesus.
- 19:21Speaker 3: She was also very reliable, unlike my co host Hair,
- 19:26Speaker 3: So she wasn't very reliable. No, you're not.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Do I come home after work every day?
- 19:33Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 19:33Speaker 2: Is that not reliable?
- 19:34Speaker 3: No, that's not reliable.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I came home today with the new snake plant in
- 19:39Speaker 2: a in a plant stand. Yeah.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not reliable. That just means you bought some
- 19:48Speaker 3: shit from somebody in the neighborhood.
- 19:49Speaker 2: No, I bought the plant stand and she gave me
- 19:51Speaker 2: the snake plant for a lot.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Or did she really tell you the snake plant give
- 19:54Speaker 3: away the plant stand.
- 19:56Speaker 2: No, she offered me the snake plant after the fact.
- 20:00Speaker 2: She's going to give me a monsera, a montsoro whatever
- 20:03Speaker 2: it's called Monte Santo cutting because she's trimming her She's
- 20:07Speaker 2: going to give me one to propagates. Do don't shop
- 20:13Speaker 2: prop you.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Know, that's what they say. Yes. So, anyway, she was
- 20:18Speaker 3: very reliable. So when she was not there, her coworkers
- 20:23Speaker 3: thought something was very wrong. One of the patrol officers
- 20:26Speaker 3: got a call from the office and they asked him
- 20:28Speaker 3: to go check on her since he was in the area.
- 20:31Speaker 3: He knocks on the door at her house, nobody answers.
- 20:34Speaker 3: He calls her phone, nobody answers that. Now he supposedly
- 20:38Speaker 3: had a bad feeling, so he walks around the back
- 20:41Speaker 3: of the house, sees that the back door looks like
- 20:44Speaker 3: it's been broken into. This is when he calls for
- 20:48Speaker 3: backup and the other officers show up with the residents.
- 20:51Speaker 3: They can hear water running after they walk in. It's
- 20:55Speaker 3: coming from upstairs. Police head to the room with the
- 20:59Speaker 3: running water, which happens to be the bathroom upstairs.
- 21:01Speaker 2: I don't know why I wrote that like that, Like
- 21:03Speaker 2: what other room upstairs would be water? I don't know.
- 21:07Speaker 3: I mean, you could have a kitchen on the second floor.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Well, we were watching something that had a kitchen on
- 21:11Speaker 2: the second Yeah.
- 21:11Speaker 3: I thought that was terrible. Whoever designed that house needs
- 21:14Speaker 3: to be shot.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Yes, well, I don't know. It was probably a true
- 21:18Speaker 2: crime thing.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Then watch well the ones down in e Wrath and
- 21:21Speaker 3: all that earfr Some of them houses have the kitchens
- 21:25Speaker 3: up on the second floor. You got to take the
- 21:27Speaker 3: elevator up there, or they got like a dumb waiter
- 21:29Speaker 3: because all the houses aren't stilts in earth?
- 21:33Speaker 2: Erath stop saying earth, that's what they say.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Earth.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Okay, let's finish this up. We're on a tight schedule,
- 21:40Speaker 2: are we.
- 21:42Speaker 3: After all your sidetracks? I don't think we are anyway.
- 21:45Speaker 3: They pull back the shower curtain. They find Lindsey lying
- 21:48Speaker 3: there lifeless. It was clear that she did not fall
- 21:51Speaker 3: in the shower or anything of the sort, because she
- 21:54Speaker 3: was It looked like she had been placed in the
- 21:56Speaker 3: shower with her hands across her chest and there was
- 21:59Speaker 3: a we'll tell large incision across her neck where it
- 22:03Speaker 3: appeared that she had blood out. Whoever did this placed
- 22:06Speaker 3: her in the shower, basically guessing so that they didn't
- 22:11Speaker 3: get blood everywhere and track it through the house. Officers
- 22:14Speaker 3: called it in and since they worked with Lindsay and
- 22:17Speaker 3: they were friends with her, they're not allowed to investigate
- 22:20Speaker 3: this case. So they got to call in a different
- 22:22Speaker 3: department to come in and do the investigation of the
- 22:25Speaker 3: hamas sad I'd be sled the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
- 22:31Speaker 2: All right, So we're they're looking at the crime scene
- 22:35Speaker 2: and appears that there had been a struggle leading up
- 22:37Speaker 2: to the murder. There were groceries and grocery bags lying everywhere.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Underneath some of the bags were like tiny little pieces
- 22:44Speaker 2: of blue latex gloves, which was a weird thing. And
- 22:48Speaker 2: autopsy would later reveal that Lindsay had bruising on her
- 22:51Speaker 2: indicating a strangulation attempt, but her cause of death was
- 22:55Speaker 2: that blood loss from the cut across her neck. Now
- 22:59Speaker 2: they believe that she was strangled to unconsciousness and then
- 23:03Speaker 2: that's when they the person moved her into the shower
- 23:06Speaker 2: where they then slit her neck. Investigators start asking around
- 23:11Speaker 2: and find that the last time anyone saw Lindsay alive
- 23:13Speaker 2: was the day before Monday, March thirteenth, at her training
- 23:16Speaker 2: session with Graham Graham her trainer slash friend. Now, they
- 23:22Speaker 2: talked to family and friends about her relationships and find
- 23:24Speaker 2: that she was going through this divorce. However, everybody, from
- 23:28Speaker 2: what everybody knew, it was very amicable. Like we talked
- 23:31Speaker 2: about he you know, he's helping, you know, fix up
- 23:34Speaker 2: the house.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Everything's good, Yeah, done, and that they.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Were about to sign the divorce papers to finally finalize it. Now,
- 23:43Speaker 2: Plase head on over to talk to Jason, who is
- 23:45Speaker 2: two hours away, and he seems surprised when he sees police,
- 23:49Speaker 2: and he's upset when they tell him that Lindsay has
- 23:51Speaker 2: been murdered. Not my ex wife, No, no, I'm gonna
- 23:56Speaker 2: get the whole house. Now.
- 23:57Speaker 3: This is terrible.
- 23:58Speaker 2: It's terrible. Although the divorce seemed amicable, they still need
- 24:02Speaker 2: to like look into this guy, you know, his whereabouts,
- 24:04Speaker 2: since he obviously had a clear motive his whereabouts. And
- 24:08Speaker 2: he tells police that he hurt his foot that Monday
- 24:10Speaker 2: evening and took some pain medication and had just gone
- 24:13Speaker 2: to bed. They did notice some scratches on him and
- 24:16Speaker 2: he said that he did this this was due to
- 24:19Speaker 2: dry shaving.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Is that that is not for the week? Like, have
- 24:26Speaker 3: you ever dry shaved your legs?
- 24:28Speaker 2: Absolutely not.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Yes, I have dry shaved my face.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Okay, I've never done that because that sounds it.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Is terrible And it would scratches well, I mean if
- 24:37Speaker 3: you cut yourself, it could, but that.
- 24:39Speaker 2: I don't think that scratches like would be the same
- 24:42Speaker 2: as like fingernail scratches.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Did they say it was fingernail scratches or they just
- 24:47Speaker 3: said he.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Had scratches and he said it was due to dry shaving.
- 24:50Speaker 3: I mean, you can get injuries due to dry shave.
- 24:53Speaker 2: All right, So as investigators continue to talk to Jason,
- 24:55Speaker 2: he tells him that tells him that he did not
- 24:58Speaker 2: come out of his apart. He tells them, sorry, sorry,
- 25:03Speaker 2: get it, stray girl. Jason tells them he did not
- 25:06Speaker 2: come out of his apartment until Tuesday morning.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Who's them?
- 25:09Speaker 2: The police? They ask him about his vehicle, if they
- 25:12Speaker 2: can like go look at it or whatever, and he
- 25:14Speaker 2: tells them that he walked out and it was gone crazy.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Story, gone crazy story. I think somebody stole it. Shit,
- 25:20Speaker 3: I don't even know what happened to it.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Well, he said that he believed it had been repossessed
- 25:24Speaker 2: because he was behind on payments because he continued his
- 25:26Speaker 2: bad financial choices after Lindsay and him split, and they
- 25:32Speaker 2: had been threatening to take it. So he's just assumed
- 25:34Speaker 2: that that's what just just what happened to it is.
- 25:37Speaker 3: So he went back to eating out. Lindsay stopped eating out,
- 25:39Speaker 3: I guess got fit and got her finances job in order. Yes,
- 25:44Speaker 3: And Jason's like, app but I'm going to go eat
- 25:46Speaker 3: out some more. Yes, to get my f this car payment. Yeah,
- 25:50Speaker 3: I need some McDonald's.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Yep, I need to eat my feelings. Yes, Lindsay be
- 25:55Speaker 2: looking good.
- 25:55Speaker 3: And she left my ass Now, after talking to Jason,
- 25:59Speaker 3: they will need to follow up on some of the
- 26:01Speaker 3: things that he said, but they move on to talk
- 26:04Speaker 3: to Graham, you know, just in case they got a
- 26:07Speaker 3: little something going on, because he was also the last
- 26:10Speaker 3: person that they were that they knew had seen her.
- 26:15Speaker 3: When speaking to Graham, they were able to confirm an
- 26:17Speaker 3: alibi for him, so they moved back to looking at Jason.
- 26:21Speaker 3: During this time, they did find a receipt at Lindsay's
- 26:23Speaker 3: homes showing that she had been at the Walmart.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Always the wall, always a Walmart, you know, it's always
- 26:30Speaker 2: a Walmart on.
- 26:31Speaker 3: The Monday evening. So they go on, they post cur
- 26:33Speaker 3: to cameras and she doesn't seem upset or anything wrong.
- 26:37Speaker 3: While she's shopping. There's nobody following her, so it doesn't
- 26:40Speaker 3: appear that anybody follow her home from the Walmart. As
- 26:44Speaker 3: they're looking into Jason, they get a call from police
- 26:47Speaker 3: officer in Greenville County, where Jason is living. He tells
- 26:51Speaker 3: them about a week.
- 26:52Speaker 2: It's Greenville's do not go Greenville, Greenville.
- 26:55Speaker 3: This is that whole thing all over again. Bowed days,
- 27:02Speaker 3: he tells them about a weird encounter he had at
- 27:05Speaker 3: the Walmart there with a man that matches Jason's description.
- 27:09Speaker 3: The officer was looking at his vehicle and Jason approached
- 27:12Speaker 3: him and got into a little snit with him about it.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Snitt, it's because I wrote hint and you didn't know
- 27:20Speaker 2: what to say.
- 27:21Speaker 3: I did not.
- 27:22Speaker 2: He got it, got a little little pissy with him
- 27:24Speaker 2: the whole thing.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Investigators pull surveillance footage from the Walmart, and the car
- 27:30Speaker 3: that Jason said was repossessed was actually sitting at the Walmart.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Why would you park at the at a Walmart? Why
- 27:37Speaker 2: this is a different Walmart. So, Lindsay's in West Columbia
- 27:40Speaker 2: at that Walmart. She just had me shopping. So don't
- 27:43Speaker 2: don't confuse that he's at the Walmart she was at.
- 27:45Speaker 2: That's not what it was. He's at his Walmart in
- 27:47Speaker 2: his town. Yes, yes, two hours away. But again, why
- 27:51Speaker 2: why would you do this at the Walmart? Why did
- 27:54Speaker 2: you do anything? You know, there's really good security cameras.
- 27:57Speaker 3: You've got a crap alibia that you're at your home
- 27:59Speaker 3: and no nobody else was there to witness it. Don't
- 28:02Speaker 3: be seen somewhere else.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Yes, and don't go to the Walmart.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Or anywhere that has cameras, so stay at home.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Well, I couldn't stay at home because there might be
- 28:12Speaker 2: something going on with Jason.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Really, they noticed that the tags on his vehicle had
- 28:18Speaker 3: been removed. Jason had parked this vehicle in the parking
- 28:21Speaker 3: lot at about five seventeen am on March fourteenth, the
- 28:25Speaker 3: day that Lindsay's body was discovered. It appeared that he
- 28:28Speaker 3: had left on foot and walked back to his apartment
- 28:31Speaker 3: and returned a short time later with his work vehicle.
- 28:35Speaker 3: He'd been about four minutes next to his vehicle, and
- 28:39Speaker 3: they believe he was moving the murder weapon at this time.
- 28:42Speaker 3: This surveillance footage proved that he was lying about his alibi,
- 28:46Speaker 3: saying that he took pain medication and had gone to
- 28:50Speaker 3: bed and slept all evening.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Yeah, because he claimed he went to that bed that
- 28:54Speaker 2: Monday night and he didn't leave his house until Tuesday.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Tuesday at the time that the police were contacting him. Now,
- 29:02Speaker 2: with this information, they are able to obtain a search
- 29:05Speaker 2: warrm for his apartment and they find that he has
- 29:07Speaker 2: those blue Latex love gloves, matching the ones where they
- 29:11Speaker 2: found little bits of it at the crime scene. He's not.
- 29:15Speaker 2: He's such a dumb ass.
- 29:17Speaker 3: He's not.
- 29:18Speaker 2: He was freaking lazy boufo back spending with suspending habits
- 29:23Speaker 2: and just a loser and he just is just such
- 29:25Speaker 2: so stupid. Anyways, looking at his financial situation, he wasn't
- 29:30Speaker 2: extreme debt obviously, if his car is getting repolled. He
- 29:34Speaker 2: was about to be evicted from his apartment. He was
- 29:36Speaker 2: behind on his car payment, he was over the limit,
- 29:39Speaker 2: got a car.
- 29:39Speaker 3: To live in after you get evicted from your apartment.
- 29:41Speaker 2: He was over and he can't go back to that
- 29:43Speaker 2: one house because he's probably trying to present to Lindsay
- 29:45Speaker 2: like he's you know, you don't want to go be
- 29:48Speaker 2: looking your worst, especially if she's got her shit together,
- 29:52Speaker 2: losing weight, looking good, because I'm yeah, you can't free,
- 29:57Speaker 2: yeah you can't. You can't be looking like a loser.
- 30:01Speaker 2: So he's probably presenting to her as if he's got
- 30:03Speaker 2: it together. So he's over the limit on the only
- 30:06Speaker 2: credit card he had in his name, and he owed
- 30:08Speaker 2: Lindsay thirteen hundred dollars prior to the divorce being being
- 30:12Speaker 2: able to go through on April first, so that would
- 30:14Speaker 2: have been embarrassing for him to be able to say,
- 30:16Speaker 2: I don't even have thirteen hundred dollars.
- 30:19Speaker 3: He got to be able to balance transfer from one
- 30:21Speaker 3: to another.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Yeah, at least. But see the problem is it's a
- 30:25Speaker 2: good thing he only had one because he would have
- 30:26Speaker 2: had the other one ran up too that you couldn't know.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't think he's responsible enough to just have
- 30:31Speaker 3: two credit cards just balance transfer back and forth.
- 30:34Speaker 2: No, I think he'd done ahead hit up that Arby's
- 30:36Speaker 2: drive through one too many times for that nonsense. They
- 30:39Speaker 2: got the meats, yeah, yeah, So he's supposed to have
- 30:42Speaker 2: this money by April first, when they're supposed to sign
- 30:44Speaker 2: this these divorce papers, and he had about one hundred
- 30:48Speaker 2: dollars in his checking account. Now, when speaking to Jason's
- 30:51Speaker 2: co workers, they found inconsistencies for how he got those
- 30:55Speaker 2: scratches on his face. He told police that the scratches
- 30:58Speaker 2: were from that dry shaving, but he told his co
- 31:02Speaker 2: workers that a cat.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Scratch team got the cat scratch fig. Yes.
- 31:06Speaker 2: They also interviewed Jason's girlfriend at the time, which who's
- 31:09Speaker 2: dating this fucking loser girlfriend at the time, and she
- 31:12Speaker 2: stated that he was upset about lindsay getting several thousand
- 31:15Speaker 2: dollars from the cell of the home, and he was
- 31:18Speaker 2: struggling because he's gonna have to split the asset with her.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Well, if she's getting several thousand, so is he.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Yeah, but he's got he's behind on his rent, so
- 31:27Speaker 2: all the pretty probably all the money he's gonna get
- 31:30Speaker 2: because when you think about it, though they got married
- 31:32Speaker 2: in twenty ten and I don't know what year they
- 31:36Speaker 2: moved to the house, but it hasn't gone up probably
- 31:37Speaker 2: that much inequity in that short amount of time.
- 31:39Speaker 3: And if they're just paying the.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Minimum or the minimum payment.
- 31:44Speaker 3: The mortgage as is and not putting any extra.
- 31:46Speaker 2: On it, well, yeah, they weren't because they weren't find it.
- 31:48Speaker 2: They both have made poor financial choices.
- 31:50Speaker 3: In the beginning. So if they're paying PMI on top
- 31:52Speaker 3: of everything else, if they didn't put twenty percent down.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and then they now they've got to do. They've
- 31:57Speaker 2: got to So whenever they probably split this, they might
- 31:59Speaker 2: probably get like five thousand dollars each out of this.
- 32:02Speaker 2: And he's got to put it all to catch up
- 32:03Speaker 2: his rent and his car. So it's not repossessing us
- 32:05Speaker 2: someplace to live.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Yeah, because after seven years, Oh yeah, that could be
- 32:09Speaker 3: like only ten or fifteen thousand dollars.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Yeah, after closing cost. That's your financial moment for today.
- 32:14Speaker 3: Yes, all right.
- 32:16Speaker 2: So he also told her that after he found out
- 32:19Speaker 2: that Lindsay was dead, he said, well, now my financial
- 32:21Speaker 2: troubles are gone, because now he would get the entire
- 32:24Speaker 2: profit from the home.
- 32:26Speaker 3: Your financial problems will not be gone until you fix yourself.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Listen to Dave Ramsey, Jesus Christ, could you imagine that
- 32:33Speaker 2: call in a day?
- 32:34Speaker 3: Ramsey, Look, I killed my wife so I could get
- 32:37Speaker 3: the rest of the house. And what do you think
- 32:39Speaker 3: I ought to do with it now that I got it?
- 32:41Speaker 2: Dave, he'd be like, Uh, well, we're gonna need to
- 32:47Speaker 2: get you some counseling. If you sign up for the
- 32:49Speaker 2: Every Dollar app, we can get you out of this.
- 32:53Speaker 3: We're gonna put you in financial peace.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Don't be taking out any loans to pay for your lawyers. Now,
- 32:58Speaker 2: it's not what you want to do anyway. So the
- 33:01Speaker 2: final piece of evidence to tie Jason to the murder
- 33:03Speaker 2: was the DNA testing from the Latex gloves came back
- 33:07Speaker 2: matching Jason's DNA. So this fucker did it, and he
- 33:10Speaker 2: did a very poor.
- 33:11Speaker 3: Job at it. Most of the time, they do do
- 33:14Speaker 3: a poor job at it. It's just they get lucky
- 33:16Speaker 3: that they don't find the body for a certain amount
- 33:18Speaker 3: of time and the DNA evidence is gone.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Well, especially if you're the spouse that did it or
- 33:23Speaker 2: soon to be ex spouse, you're gonna get caught like that.
- 33:26Speaker 2: Remember that one guy that killed the coworker from the
- 33:29Speaker 2: men's store. Yeah, and the only reason they found it
- 33:32Speaker 2: is because he buried it in his yard in the
- 33:34Speaker 2: case it started coming up and the sun saw it. Yeah,
- 33:37Speaker 2: Like those are so random, Like it is hard to
- 33:41Speaker 2: catch those. But most of the time it's just but I.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Mean he did some stupid shit too, like putting it
- 33:46Speaker 3: in his yard.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that was dumb. That was. That was, but he
- 33:50Speaker 2: almost got away with it.
- 33:51Speaker 3: And whoever killed the miss Biebers in our other episode
- 33:55Speaker 3: that was that was a well.
- 33:58Speaker 2: I think they looked out with the cameras not working outside,
- 34:01Speaker 2: I think they knew though. That's why I think it
- 34:03Speaker 2: was that security guard because I think he knew that
- 34:06Speaker 2: she wasn't working, Yes, that those specific cameras weren't working,
- 34:09Speaker 2: and he knew that if he went inside as long
- 34:10Speaker 2: as he covered himself. They would never be able to
- 34:12Speaker 2: tell anyways. But let's finish this case.
- 34:17Speaker 3: So should we rehash other stuff?
- 34:21Speaker 2: I don't know. Let's see what Dave Ramsey would say.
- 34:24Speaker 3: On March seventeen, twenty seventeen, just three days after Lindsay's
- 34:27Speaker 3: body was found.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Saint Patrick's Day's never going to be the same for him.
- 34:30Speaker 3: It will not. Jason was arrested and charged with her murder. Yeah,
- 34:34Speaker 3: it only took three days to catch Jason.
- 34:37Speaker 2: It's not like this, you wanted to get caught. He's like,
- 34:40Speaker 2: I'm about to be homeless. I can go to jail
- 34:43Speaker 2: and they'll feed.
- 34:46Speaker 3: For the rest of my life. The case did go
- 34:50Speaker 3: to trial in twenty nineteen, and on November twenty second,
- 34:53Speaker 3: he was convicted of her murder. The jury only deliberated
- 34:57Speaker 3: for about an hour and he was sentenced to been
- 35:00Speaker 3: the rest of his life in jail.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Yes, and he's just a shitty person.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Why because he murdered somebody.
- 35:08Speaker 2: No, because he's just a fat loser that can't keep
- 35:11Speaker 2: his financed control. This woman that he's married, she gets
- 35:16Speaker 2: her life together. He just keeps slipping off and everything.
- 35:18Speaker 2: She's like, okay, well I'm done. Let's just part ways
- 35:21Speaker 2: and be done. And then he just can't stand it.
- 35:24Speaker 2: So I think there was also behind the financial I
- 35:26Speaker 2: think there was a hatred that Lindsay got her life together.
- 35:29Speaker 3: And he continued the slow march T Yes, Loserville.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Yes, anyways, that's our case for tonight or this week.
- 35:38Speaker 2: It is nighttime. As I've told you, guys, stud do
- 35:41Speaker 2: you have a yall need Jesus?
- 35:42Speaker 3: I always have a y'll need Jesus.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Okay, are you ready to go?
- 35:46Speaker 3: Yes?
- 35:46Speaker 2: Oh, you're ready this time? So I don't have to
- 35:49Speaker 2: talk about anything else random.
- 35:51Speaker 3: I don't know. What'd you like?
- 35:52Speaker 2: Tom? No, I want to go to bed.
- 35:55Speaker 3: You don't want to talk about the neighbors.
- 35:58Speaker 2: No, I'm going to save that for sheet the poop
- 35:59Speaker 2: back yards, because I don't want to start with the neighbors,
- 36:02Speaker 2: horse liniments. What's we have? Some random topics? What was
- 36:08Speaker 2: the backyard stuff?
- 36:09Speaker 3: I don't know. Whatever it's going on in the back
- 36:11Speaker 3: children playing in mud? I don't know.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's our new night time. It's starting to
- 36:15Speaker 2: get cooler, like it it's so hot here. You know,
- 36:17Speaker 2: you just can't really do anything when the sun's out
- 36:20Speaker 2: because these little fair haired children are just gonna burn
- 36:24Speaker 2: to a crisp and so now it's starting to get
- 36:27Speaker 2: a little bit cooler. The sun's not as hot. So
- 36:31Speaker 2: they've been playing in the mud every night. That's a
- 36:34Speaker 2: good only benefit to having a backyard that's dirt, basically,
- 36:38Speaker 2: because we just turn on the water hose and they
- 36:41Speaker 2: just make like mud everywhere.
- 36:43Speaker 3: It's not even mud. It just goes down into the sand.
- 36:46Speaker 2: I know, it's it's just drives out so fast. It's
- 36:48Speaker 2: like it's never gonna it's it can just absorb it
- 36:51Speaker 2: because it's so dry out here. It's terrible.
- 36:54Speaker 3: I wear out hair wasting water in the desert.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Yes, yes we are. We need some sort of joy
- 36:59Speaker 2: in our life if it comes from a keyboard and
- 37:02Speaker 2: water in the backyard.
- 37:03Speaker 3: A keyboard, the keyboard I bought.
- 37:05Speaker 2: So I'm not depressed at word.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I get Oh, I got some spark, yes
- 37:10Speaker 3: from my chimney.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Is that we've apparently some more horse liniment.
- 37:15Speaker 3: Yes, so we'll tell that story another day. Yes, all right, ready, Yes,
- 37:21Speaker 3: this will not follow our usual Florida not Florida. Okay,
- 37:24Speaker 3: I mean it could, I mean yeah it could. That
- 37:28Speaker 3: time a marine mechanic took a joy ride and a
- 37:32Speaker 3: stolen A four M Skyhawk Florida. Okay, this comes to
- 37:41Speaker 3: us from the Military Times dot caur military dot com.
- 37:48Speaker 3: This was published in March eighteenth, twenty one, Carol by
- 37:54Speaker 3: mister Blake. Still, Well, how much could a Marine Corps
- 37:57Speaker 3: fighter cost? That was probably one of the questquestions running
- 38:00Speaker 3: through twenty one year old Lance Corporal Howard Foot's mind
- 38:04Speaker 3: as the enlisted flight mechanic climb climbed into an unarmed
- 38:09Speaker 3: A four M Skyhawk in the middle of a July night.
- 38:14Speaker 3: In case you were wondering, the cost is roughly eighteen
- 38:16Speaker 3: million dollars. Rather, that was the cost back in nineteen
- 38:20Speaker 3: eighty four when Foot stole one of them from Marine
- 38:24Speaker 3: Corps Air Station El Toro.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Today that I don't understand. What what is these years?
- 38:30Speaker 2: I don't understand.
- 38:31Speaker 3: This is just telling us when the when the crime happened?
- 38:34Speaker 2: When did the crime happen in twenty twenty one or
- 38:36Speaker 2: two thousand or night?
- 38:37Speaker 3: The story is a rehash of the nineteen eighty four story.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Okay, so this is nineteen eighty four.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Yes, this actual?
- 38:43Speaker 2: The only person confused I can guaranteemage. Okay, fine, did
- 38:46Speaker 2: it happen in Florida or not, that's the question.
- 38:48Speaker 3: Marine Corps Air Station Al Toro, California. Oh okay, I
- 38:52Speaker 3: was there not when this happened, but I was at
- 38:55Speaker 3: that Martin Corps station.
- 38:57Speaker 2: This is a story about stew This is a story
- 39:00Speaker 2: about Lucky.
- 39:01Speaker 3: I've said that the last three What was that other?
- 39:04Speaker 3: This story about a girl or whatever.
- 39:07Speaker 2: This is the story of a girl who cried a
- 39:09Speaker 2: river and drowned the whole world. While she looks so
- 39:13Speaker 2: sad in photographs, George when she smiled?
- 39:18Speaker 3: Is that Georgia J.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Stewart, Garthbrooks dumbass? No, I think it was acdc eh today.
- 39:26Speaker 2: I think it was Ozzy Osbourne last week.
- 39:28Speaker 3: Too soon, too soon, Cara Today, the cost of that
- 39:32Speaker 3: fighter would be equivalent of forty one million dollars for
- 39:35Speaker 3: just an inflation centuries. Tried to stop Foot as he
- 39:38Speaker 3: taxied the aircraft for takeoff, but they just couldn't get
- 39:41Speaker 3: his attention. Yeah, I'm sure that was the problem. But
- 39:45Speaker 3: joined the Marines to go to the Core Enlisted Commissioning Program,
- 39:48Speaker 3: hoping to attend flight school and at an eltoral public
- 39:53Speaker 3: affairs officer told La Times. However, when flying at forty
- 39:57Speaker 3: two thousand feet in a glider. He suffered an area
- 40:00Speaker 3: embolism similar to the benz suffered by divers, so he
- 40:04Speaker 3: was unable to become an officer and go to flight
- 40:06Speaker 3: school Kara, which kind of hurt his feelings.
- 40:12Speaker 2: The bens stole a plane, yes, a.
- 40:15Speaker 3: Fighter jet, not just any plane, a fighter jet. The
- 40:19Speaker 3: benz is the.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Diver's terms unarmed. It was basically a small plane.
- 40:23Speaker 3: Yes the divers. The benz is the diver's terms for
- 40:27Speaker 3: decompression sickness, where the gases and the bodies like nitrogen
- 40:31Speaker 3: and the compressed oxygen tanks used by divers come out
- 40:34Speaker 3: of the blood in bubbles because the body doesn't have
- 40:37Speaker 3: time to adjust to the pressure around it. We're going
- 40:41Speaker 3: to go to a dive school. They No, We're not
- 40:44Speaker 3: going to do scuba diving.
- 40:45Speaker 2: No, I don't believe in that.
- 40:48Speaker 3: So anyway, for mister foot, I'm not going to go
- 40:51Speaker 3: in the ocean.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Have you unplugged something on me? I've seen too many documentaries.
- 40:55Speaker 2: That girl in Australia that was murdered girl I believe
- 41:00Speaker 2: accident on her honeymoon. He unplugged her something down.
- 41:03Speaker 3: There, unplugged her scuba tank on a honeymoon.
- 41:06Speaker 2: On a honeymoon. I believe we'll have to look it up.
- 41:08Speaker 3: Okay, I'm sure it's happened more than once in different places. Yes. Anyway,
- 41:14Speaker 3: flight school was not going to happen for mister Foot,
- 41:16Speaker 3: so he became a mechanic instead. When he joined the
- 41:19Speaker 3: Marine Corps, still he had to realize his dream of
- 41:22Speaker 3: going up to helm at the helm of a fighter.
- 41:26Speaker 3: I worked my entire life for this, flight Foot told
- 41:29Speaker 3: the La Times four years later. There was nothing else.
- 41:33Speaker 3: The young marine drove up to the plane and a
- 41:35Speaker 3: vehicle used to take pilots to the aircraft. He even
- 41:38Speaker 3: wore a flight suit to dress the part. He flew
- 41:41Speaker 3: the fighter for fifty miles roughly half an hour, doing
- 41:44Speaker 3: loops and barrel rolls over the Pacific Ocean.
- 41:47Speaker 2: I have a question, when did top gun come out
- 41:51Speaker 2: about this time?
- 41:52Speaker 3: I'm thinking, yep, it was somewhere in there.
- 41:54Speaker 2: And he in his head was that music playing.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Well, here's a pilot. I didn't just watch a movie
- 42:02Speaker 3: and go I did it.
- 42:04Speaker 2: But he I thought you said he couldn't do the
- 42:06Speaker 2: thing because he had the bins.
- 42:09Speaker 3: Yeah, because he had an issue in the glider and
- 42:11Speaker 3: that caused an issue.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Yes, so he wasn't able to ever do this, so
- 42:14Speaker 2: he had to commander one so he could do this. Yes, okay,
- 42:18Speaker 2: I'm saying he was okay. He was like, I gotta
- 42:20Speaker 2: let this go. And then he saw Tom cruise and
- 42:23Speaker 2: top Gun.
- 42:23Speaker 3: He's like, no, I got I don't know. Maybe I'll
- 42:25Speaker 3: ride him in check with him and see if that
- 42:27Speaker 3: is the case. He then landed the airplane after making
- 42:33Speaker 3: five passes of the runway. No one tracked the plane.
- 42:36Speaker 3: They didn't send any other fighters up to intercept it.
- 42:39Speaker 3: Foot brought it back on his own.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Nineteen eighty six. I was wrong. What that's when top Gun?
- 42:45Speaker 2: He inspired Top Gun is what happened.
- 42:48Speaker 3: Foot was sent to. They call it the Stockade, but
- 42:51Speaker 3: it's actually in marine parlance it's called the brig At
- 42:55Speaker 3: Camp Pendleton. He served four and a half months of
- 42:57Speaker 3: confinement and served an He was dished up in other
- 43:02Speaker 3: than honorable discharge. He tried to fly for Israel and
- 43:06Speaker 3: Honduras after this discharge. He later qualified as a test
- 43:10Speaker 3: pilot in more than twenty different military and civilian aircraft
- 43:13Speaker 3: and became a contractor to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He
- 43:18Speaker 3: holds patents in aviation design and engineering technology.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Oh, engineering technology.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Yes, okay, so none of all heroes wear capes. I
- 43:30Speaker 3: remember hearing this story whenever I got to El Toro
- 43:33Speaker 3: back in ninety ninety one. Show.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Okay, let's not age you, let's not do this too. Okay,
- 43:39Speaker 2: why let's just not all right?
- 43:41Speaker 3: So well it had to be because they closed al
- 43:44Speaker 3: Toro in ninety eight.
- 43:45Speaker 2: So well, we couldn't let the people have their imagination
- 43:48Speaker 2: run wild instead of just giving them an image. All right,
- 43:52Speaker 2: So that's our yall, that's our case. That's the y'all need. Jesus.

- 44:08Speaker 2: has to do with people we know or family has
