- 0:09Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the right time. A wave original.
- 0:13Speaker 1: My name is Beaumont Jones. Thanks for listening wherever you
- 0:15Speaker 1: get your podcast. Thanks for watching us on YouTube. Subscribe, like,
- 0:19Speaker 1: rate us, review us, give us five stars. You only
- 0:22Speaker 1: give us four stars. I'm inclined to believe you are
- 0:25Speaker 1: a hater. We got Fosworth on a Thursday. Dominique Fosworth,
- 0:29Speaker 1: what's going on?
- 0:31Speaker 2: Not much. Happy to be back.
- 0:32Speaker 3: I was listening to, I think it was your last show,
- 0:35Speaker 3: and I got a shout-out from my man at the.
- 0:38Speaker 2: End, so I'm here. You asked, and I'm here.
- 0:40Speaker 1: That's right, man. The streets be ready for you, dog.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I got to tell you, I saw you on TV
- 0:45Speaker 1: on Tuesday, and it was really funny. So for people
- 0:49Speaker 1: who don't know what had happened on TV, it's that
- 0:51Speaker 1: time of year where you be kind of having to
- 0:53Speaker 1: make it work when you're producing the TV show. You
- 0:55Speaker 1: know what I mean? So Dominique's on Get Up, and
- 0:57Speaker 1: this is me talking. I understand that part of the
- 1:00Speaker 1: job of morning time ESPN television is hopefully you get
- 1:03Speaker 1: a story that you can use to dictate what's going
- 1:06Speaker 1: down for the rest of the day, right? Like something happened,
- 1:09Speaker 1: you can set the tone and then everybody eats. You know,
- 1:13Speaker 1: like all we need sometimes is one person on ESPN
- 1:15Speaker 1: to say some wild shit. Like not even wild. Dan
- 1:18Speaker 1: Orlovsky is a very big fan of Ty Simpson. Suddenly
- 1:20Speaker 1: we have a counterpoint. The draft gets more interesting and
- 1:22Speaker 1: now we can carry that all the way through so
- 1:25Speaker 1: this time the Ravens were beginning a voluntary OTA which
- 1:30Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson typically cannot bother himself with but it's a
- 1:34Speaker 1: new coach and so the question was ooh Is Lamar
- 1:38Speaker 1: going to show up? What's it going to say? If
- 1:40Speaker 1: Lamar doesn't show up, get up, start at 8 o'clock.
- 1:43Speaker 1: They like, baby, we going to eat all day, man.
- 1:45Speaker 1: It couldn't have been no more than 8.07, 8.08. Here
- 1:48Speaker 1: come Lamar Jackson with his hoodie that say, I love Jesus,
- 1:52Speaker 1: showing up to work.
- 1:53Speaker 3: And suddenly there was a lot less to talk about. Yeah, fortunately,
- 1:57Speaker 3: I wasn't on that morning. I was on the next
- 1:59Speaker 3: morning because there was much made of, like, the prediction
- 2:02Speaker 3: that he wasn't going to show up and, like, the, like–
- 2:06Speaker 3: premature analysis around what it means and he hasn't he's
- 2:12Speaker 3: never really showed up and the funny thing is like
- 2:14Speaker 3: Lamar's in this situation where if he if he doesn't
- 2:18Speaker 3: show up we can do the and by we I
- 2:21Speaker 3: mean the sports media in general play the hits you
- 2:24Speaker 3: know same old same old not committed leadership blah blah
- 2:27Speaker 3: blah doesn't mean he's upset with the organization maybe he'll
- 2:31Speaker 3: never be back if he does show up we go
- 2:33Speaker 3: the other way which admittedly Not as much meat on
- 2:37Speaker 3: the bone.
- 2:38Speaker 2: It'll pop. Not as much meat on the bone.
- 2:41Speaker 3: It appears Lamar Jackson fully believes in this new staff and.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Maybe a contract extension is on the horizon. I don't know.
- 2:50Speaker 3: It does make his contract a lot less interesting because
- 2:55Speaker 3: right now, I was looking at it the other day.
- 2:57Speaker 3: They restructured it, which they had the right to do
- 2:59Speaker 3: without his participation.
- 3:01Speaker 2: But next year, the cap hit went from what it
- 3:04Speaker 2: was supposed to be this year.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Now it's down to 30 next year is 80 plus
- 3:07Speaker 3: million dollars cap hit. He also has a no trade
- 3:10Speaker 3: and a no tag clause. So he looking at this
- 3:15Speaker 3: thing like an NBA superstar, like few NFL players get
- 3:18Speaker 3: a chance to be like either. I like literally I'm
- 3:22Speaker 3: a free agent, not I'm franchise tagged or not. You
- 3:25Speaker 3: can trade me. I could either be a free agent
- 3:29Speaker 3: or you extend.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah. So, uh, this is actually more interesting that I
- 3:35Speaker 1: give it a credit for what you put it in
- 3:37Speaker 1: those charts, because I had seen them running up the
- 3:39Speaker 1: thing about it's no guarantee money in 2027 and all
- 3:42Speaker 1: that stuff. And the question was about whether or not
- 3:44Speaker 1: he would be coming back to the Ravens, which I
- 3:46Speaker 1: thought was being presented as though it was a question
- 3:48Speaker 1: as though whether the Ravens would want him to come back,
- 3:51Speaker 1: which to me would be preposterous. Would you like your
- 3:54Speaker 1: two plus time MVP to come back at quarterback? And
- 3:58Speaker 1: if I have not mistaken, he still isn't 30. Um, Yeah,
- 4:03Speaker 1: I think you go ahead and sign up for that one, dog.
- 4:07Speaker 1: It does become an interesting one on the other side, though,
- 4:10Speaker 1: that clearly Lamar is a dude who appreciates when he's
- 4:14Speaker 1: got some leverage. That's why he ain't never been to
- 4:15Speaker 1: one of these little play play camps that he don't
- 4:18Speaker 1: necessarily have to go to. Like, I'm surprised he showed
- 4:20Speaker 1: up at this one because he doesn't seem to have
- 4:23Speaker 1: anybody in his camp whose job is to be like, hey, man,
- 4:25Speaker 1: just go ahead. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know you ain't
- 4:27Speaker 1: got to do.
- 4:28Speaker 2: It, right?
- 4:28Speaker 1: But it'll probably be good if you just go ahead
- 4:31Speaker 1: and do that. They don't seem to have anybody in
- 4:35Speaker 1: Lamar and Mom LLC whose gig is to just be like, hey,
- 4:40Speaker 1: just don't bone right quick and pull up. But if
- 4:44Speaker 1: he can actually walk after this year, oh man, this
- 4:47Speaker 1: is completely different.
- 4:49Speaker 3: And honestly, if the prognosis if something goes wrong is
- 4:53Speaker 3: that he will walk again, he'll be fine.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Quarterbacks get hurt.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Like what are we looking at? Aaron Rodgers still out there, man,
- 5:00Speaker 3: coming off Achilles. Your man, I mean, Cousins is a
- 5:03Speaker 3: different story. He's not going to be a starter, but
- 5:05Speaker 3: he got big money after an Achilles. Like it would
- 5:09Speaker 3: have to be something real tragic for him to no
- 5:12Speaker 3: longer have the cash that he would have. And I
- 5:15Speaker 3: think to your point about going and throwing a bone,
- 5:17Speaker 3: there's nobody in his camp to do that. I think
- 5:20Speaker 3: people in his camp look around and you know the
- 5:22Speaker 3: type of people that need to throw somebody a bone?
- 5:25Speaker 2: The people who ain't balling.
- 5:27Speaker 3: You know what I mean? Throw them no bone, you
- 5:29Speaker 3: know what I'm going to throw? I'm going to throw
- 5:30Speaker 3: some touchdowns. Throw them no damn bone. I ain't coming
- 5:34Speaker 3: to this workout. But the thing is, obviously, he has
- 5:38Speaker 3: a team and off-season plan and whatever that he does
- 5:43Speaker 3: all the time.
- 5:43Speaker 2: So, like, he doesn't need this workout program.
- 5:46Speaker 3: The only reason why you show up at this point
- 5:48Speaker 3: of your Lamar Jackson with a new coach is that's, like–
- 5:52Speaker 3: Let's throw them a bone. Like, it's essentially I want
- 5:54Speaker 3: them to know that I'm all in. I want all
- 5:56Speaker 3: the players to know. I want all the fans to know.
- 5:58Speaker 3: The coaches, front office.
- 6:00Speaker 2: I'm all in. I'm going to give everything I got
- 6:01Speaker 2: this year. No hard feelings.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Or maybe this is your opportunity to come in and
- 6:05Speaker 1: make sure the head coach know who really in charge, right? Like,
- 6:08Speaker 1: this is your chance to come in there like, no,
- 6:10Speaker 1: this is how we stretch.
- 6:12Speaker 2: The head coach know who really in charge.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I believe that the head coach said Lamar was involved
- 6:16Speaker 3: in the interview process. I think they know who really
- 6:20Speaker 3: in charge around there, but Maybe you're right. He wanted
- 6:23Speaker 3: to come in and make sure day one, the real
- 6:25Speaker 3: ball's not gonna miss day one.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Yo, but I thought about this too. We know so
- 6:29Speaker 1: little about Lamar Jackson, like as person or anything else.
- 6:33Speaker 1: And I realized this when he showed up with the
- 6:35Speaker 1: I Love Jesus hoodie and then Fox News did a
- 6:39Speaker 1: story on foxnews.com about him wearing that hoodie And then
- 6:43Speaker 1: they sent a tweet out about it, a tweet that
- 6:45Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson then retweeted. And it was kind of like,
- 6:49Speaker 1: I don't know about that one, buddy. I got no
- 6:51Speaker 1: idea what Lamar Jackson think about anything. Right. Like, remember
- 6:55Speaker 1: that time where Trump said something about him and he
- 6:57Speaker 1: was there something back about Trump. And then I forget
- 6:59Speaker 1: what his response was. I was like, anything you tell
- 7:01Speaker 1: me about this is possible. You could be a Black
- 7:03Speaker 1: Panther or you could be a Glenn Beck's program. I
- 7:07Speaker 1: have no idea, son. I don't know anything about you.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I don't even know if you own a suit. I
- 7:12Speaker 1: know nothing about you.
- 7:13Speaker 3: When I think he did a trust, a trust Trump
- 7:17Speaker 3: tweet at one point back when they was, they was
- 7:20Speaker 3: doing big trust in the backfield. But yeah, I think
- 7:23Speaker 3: you're right. I not, I think you're right. We don't
- 7:25Speaker 3: know anything about him. And I think we graphed onto
- 7:28Speaker 3: him a lot of different things. I can speak for myself.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Like it's a history of black quarterbacks and all that stuff.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Like graphed onto him a bunch of different things and
- 7:36Speaker 3: a bunch of arguments and, and conversations and progress that.
- 7:41Speaker 2: I ain't really thinking about it, man.
- 7:43Speaker 3: I just want a ball to get paid. And it's like,
- 7:46Speaker 3: for someone else, for other people, he represents so much more.
- 7:49Speaker 3: And I think particularly because of when we do hear
- 7:53Speaker 3: him speak and the way that he generally carries himself,
- 7:56Speaker 3: while he's not the first black quarterback, he's the first
- 7:59Speaker 3: quarterback that comes off and that presents himself in this way.
- 8:03Speaker 3: He's a pioneering figure, whether he wants to accept it
- 8:06Speaker 3: or not.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Yeah, like I said, he's the first one that we
- 8:09Speaker 1: don't know if he got a suit.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Right.
- 8:11Speaker 1: So I remember when Cam was young and the world
- 8:16Speaker 1: started to catch fire.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Right.
- 8:18Speaker 1: We kind of wanted Cam or I don't know if
- 8:20Speaker 1: we a lot of people kind of wanted Cam to
- 8:23Speaker 1: talk about the bigger issues of the world. And Cam
- 8:27Speaker 1: not explicitly was kind of trying to let people know.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I'm not really good at that, guys. That's not, I don't, like,
- 8:36Speaker 1: it didn't feel so great about doing that. The Panthers
- 8:38Speaker 1: had even had him meet with Frank Luntz, the right-wing strategist,
- 8:43Speaker 1: to try to get his talking points together, which is
- 8:45Speaker 1: a little worrisome. But anyway, like, that's, they wanted Cam
- 8:49Speaker 1: to talk. Now Cam talked for a living, and I
- 8:51Speaker 1: get the feeling that y'all don't want him to do
- 8:52Speaker 1: nearly as much. of that talking. Like you kind of
- 8:55Speaker 1: like him to fall back. Nobody's asked Lamar Jackson to
- 8:57Speaker 1: talk about anything. Like right now, we don't expect our
- 9:02Speaker 1: athletes to talk about a single solitary thing at this point.
- 9:07Speaker 1: None of them. Like we have given up on that experiment,
- 9:10Speaker 1: which is interesting because it seemed to be making some
- 9:12Speaker 1: progress around 2020.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I noticed that the way that you presented it,
- 9:16Speaker 3: it's not clear where you fall on that, but I
- 9:19Speaker 3: think Howard Bryant's book, The Prestige, which I assume you read.
- 9:24Speaker 2: The Heritage.
- 9:25Speaker 3: I'm sorry, The Prestige. I'm thinking about that movie. I
- 9:27Speaker 3: watched it with my son two weeks ago. The Heritage
- 9:30Speaker 3: talks a bunch about how the black athlete was kind
- 9:34Speaker 3: of the original wealthy and powerful black person. The expectation
- 9:40Speaker 3: was there, and I think We still kind of have
- 9:44Speaker 3: that expectation, but it feels like I'm fine with people.
- 9:51Speaker 3: I'm not going to tell nobody to shut up and dribble,
- 9:54Speaker 3: but if you find yourself as someone who is most
- 9:57Speaker 3: comfortable not talking about that stuff, I think we'll the
- 10:00Speaker 3: scary part is in part because of like social media
- 10:04Speaker 3: and all that stuff everyone feels that their opinion should
- 10:06Speaker 3: be like held in high regard and some people don't
- 10:11Speaker 3: trying to say this in a way that's not insulting
- 10:13Speaker 3: and makes it feel like I feel like I'm holier
- 10:14Speaker 3: than thou, but some people don't read.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Yeah. That's not what they do, right?
- 10:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm fine. If you don't do it, then
- 10:22Speaker 2: don't do it.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's my big thing is if you don't
- 10:24Speaker 1: do it, don't do it, right? But don't nobody do it?
- 10:28Speaker 1: I guess I'm a little confused, okay? So think about this.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Trayvon Martin died 14 years ago. So let's say that
- 10:41Speaker 1: you're a 22-year-old athlete. You're eight years old when that happened.
- 10:47Speaker 1: You actually grew up in a time where athletes had
- 10:52Speaker 1: things to say about the larger world. Now, we can
- 10:55Speaker 1: raise questions about how deep the statements were or everything else,
- 10:59Speaker 1: but they were out there. It's all gone, right? It's
- 11:04Speaker 1: almost like the basketball is caught up to the music.
- 11:07Speaker 1: where the music gradually, and it's weird in music, because
- 11:10Speaker 1: music is always a space where you always expected to
- 11:12Speaker 1: hear a little something about something larger than a personal expectation.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Maybe this is in line, like I got an email
- 11:19Speaker 1: the other day about the 20th anniversary of Bill Roden's book,
- 11:22Speaker 1: The $ 40 Million Slate. And he had a chapter in
- 11:26Speaker 1: that book where he talked about the idea of the
- 11:27Speaker 1: conveyor belt, which is basically because the money gets a
- 11:31Speaker 1: hold of these players so young, they are molded into
- 11:34Speaker 1: being corporate pitchmen from such a young age that it's
- 11:38Speaker 1: like a conveyor belt. They are handed over from person
- 11:40Speaker 1: to person, job to job, place to place, whatever. And
- 11:42Speaker 1: then by the time you get to the end, you
- 11:44Speaker 1: get a socially unconscious being who only exists to sell.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Maybe what we're seeing here is the culmination of that.
- 11:54Speaker 1: But given that we thought the world was going to
- 11:57Speaker 1: end on Tuesday, you would think that one of these
- 12:00Speaker 1: cats would care about it on some level, whether I
- 12:03Speaker 1: want to hear what they got to say or not.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Right.
- 12:05Speaker 1: You don't even really hear it from Jalen Brown no more.
- 12:08Speaker 2: I mean, I, I honestly think that they are reacting.
- 12:11Speaker 3: I don't think that they are, and maybe they never were,
- 12:17Speaker 3: but I don't think athletes are like civil rights leaders.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I agree.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Right.
- 12:22Speaker 3: And I think that a lot of the outspokenness was, um,
- 12:26Speaker 3: a reaction to the waters that they were sitting in.
- 12:29Speaker 3: And at the time it was something that everybody was
- 12:32Speaker 3: doing and they had the larger platform. I don't think
- 12:36Speaker 3: that we're looking at a time where the athlete is
- 12:40Speaker 3: interested in or willing to be pilloried in the way
- 12:46Speaker 3: that say Colin Kaepernick was. I think what we have
- 12:49Speaker 3: with the athletes more than anything is like, to your point,
- 12:52Speaker 3: it's like, all right, this is the way that the
- 12:54Speaker 3: wind is blowing. I will amplify this message, but I'm
- 12:59Speaker 3: not going to be the first one to stand up
- 13:01Speaker 3: and be like, Hey guys.
- 13:03Speaker 2: And us generally as.
- 13:04Speaker 3: A society, as crazy as shit has gotten, we haven't
- 13:08Speaker 3: turned up to the degree that the, the world has
- 13:12Speaker 3: turned up.
- 13:12Speaker 2: We haven't turned up as a society. Like we all
- 13:15Speaker 2: protested out.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:17Speaker 1: It's funny. Cause my brother went to the protest they
- 13:20Speaker 1: was having the other weekend and So this is what
- 13:24Speaker 1: the athletes could say, but it's not that, which is, hey, man,
- 13:27Speaker 1: I think that I think things have gone a little
- 13:29Speaker 1: farther than people have been willing to bring themselves to
- 13:31Speaker 1: appreciate and understand. You and I talk about this all
- 13:33Speaker 1: the time, right? Like, I never want to say that
- 13:35Speaker 1: it's at a point where there's no point in talking
- 13:37Speaker 1: because I don't think that's ever truly the case. But
- 13:39Speaker 1: we are. We pass that kind of march, right? Right.
- 13:43Speaker 1: We all be out here dressed up as fucking cartoon
- 13:46Speaker 1: characters and y'all got jokes and it makes for really
- 13:48Speaker 1: funny stuff for you to put online. Now, the stakes
- 13:51Speaker 1: have greatly exceeded. that method of presentation. It is real
- 13:56Speaker 1: out here at this point. We were literally wondering if
- 13:59Speaker 1: a nuclear war was about to break out on Tuesday.
- 14:03Speaker 1: And by the way, it's still on the board. Like
- 14:07Speaker 1: they said it was a ceasefire, but you know what
- 14:09Speaker 1: ain't ceased? Fire.
- 14:12Speaker 5: Like, I thought that was one of those where you
- 14:14Speaker 5: put that word with that word and we all know
- 14:17Speaker 5: what it is.
- 14:17Speaker 1: It's pronounced the same way the whole nine, right? No, no, no.
- 14:21Speaker 1: This isn't what it is. And there is no reflection
- 14:25Speaker 1: of that from, and for this case, I'd count athletes
- 14:29Speaker 1: as pop culture figures. Yeah. The world of pop culture,
- 14:35Speaker 1: at least younger, ain't really giving nothing on this. And
- 14:38Speaker 1: I was like, oh, wow, I think you guys would
- 14:40Speaker 1: be the more scared ones.
- 14:42Speaker 3: I mean, we had, like, at the award shows, we had, like,
- 14:47Speaker 3: some people saying, ice out. And I was like, that
- 14:49Speaker 3: was about that. And that was the last thing we
- 14:52Speaker 3: don't have. And, like, to your point, like, we're at
- 14:54Speaker 3: a different place now, and it keeps amping up. Like,
- 14:56Speaker 3: where we were on Tuesday night when there's, like, an
- 14:59Speaker 3: apocalyptic countdown, like.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Nobody said nothing. Nobody put up a black square. I
- 15:06Speaker 2: miss it.
- 15:07Speaker 3: I know we was mocking it back then, but can
- 15:10Speaker 3: we do some colored squares or something? I live in D.C.,
- 15:13Speaker 3: so I see a lot more protests. There were people
- 15:17Speaker 3: out on the mall and stuff, but I think what
- 15:21Speaker 3: comes to mind for me is that there was a
- 15:24Speaker 3: point when the internet felt freer and social media felt
- 15:29Speaker 3: more natural. And I think it feels more controlled and curated.
- 15:35Speaker 3: And we're in a place now where a lot of
- 15:41Speaker 3: organizing and amplifying and motivating takes place on these platforms.
- 15:47Speaker 3: And if the algorithms are designed to turn those down,
- 15:51Speaker 3: as much as we mocked the performative nature of the
- 15:56Speaker 3: stuff online, when it starts to build up, you start
- 15:59Speaker 3: to feel You get your muscles and you're like, oh,
- 16:03Speaker 3: this is where everything is going. I want to be
- 16:06Speaker 3: a leader of that. I want to get involved in that.
- 16:08Speaker 3: But when something starts bubbling up and it gets tamped down,
- 16:12Speaker 3: then we feel like nothing's actually happening.
- 16:14Speaker 2: And we're like, don't anybody care?
- 16:18Speaker 3: Just kind of goes and happens, and we move on,
- 16:20Speaker 3: some new shit pops up, and some pictures pop up
- 16:23Speaker 3: on the internet, connected to people you know, and you
- 16:25Speaker 3: just move on.
- 16:29Speaker 1: That's all anybody needed.
- 16:31Speaker 2: That's all. We always looking for distractions.
- 16:34Speaker 1: See, now you would have did the thing, right?
- 16:37Speaker 2: What thing?
- 16:38Speaker 1: The thing where now I'm like, am I going to
- 16:42Speaker 1: do it?
- 16:42Speaker 3: You know one thing I'm not worried about is Bomani
- 16:45Speaker 3: Jones being able to artfully... Discuss something that most people
- 16:49Speaker 3: are scared to pick up. So I'll throw anything on
- 16:51Speaker 3: the table for you.
- 16:51Speaker 2: You will. You will.
- 16:53Speaker 1: And it's tricky. And people have seen this. It's a
- 16:55Speaker 1: story where page six. I am amazed by the fact
- 16:59Speaker 1: and like the levels at which people care about stories
- 17:02Speaker 1: involving sports media. But I guess when it comes with
- 17:06Speaker 1: an allegation that a media member is sleeping with a
- 17:10Speaker 1: head coach and there is pictures of them posted up
- 17:14Speaker 1: by the pool at a hotel that caught like.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Wildfire, wild, wild.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Wildfire everywhere. And I just looked at the pictures and.
- 17:34Speaker 1: All I know is each of them had the same story.
- 17:37Speaker 1: We was there with friends, and we happened to be
- 17:39Speaker 1: at the same place, but ain't none of the friends
- 17:42Speaker 1: in none of the pictures. And all I'm saying is,
- 17:45Speaker 1: you said friends and nothing about your spouses, which is
- 17:48Speaker 1: how that story right there, even if it might get
- 17:51Speaker 1: you through in public, is not going to help you
- 17:55Speaker 1: out when it matters at the Ponderosa.
- 18:03Speaker 3: I don't know, obviously. I know both of them and
- 18:07Speaker 3: like both of them. Braves and I go way back
- 18:11Speaker 3: to CBA negotiations and when Gene Upshaw died. He was
- 18:18Speaker 3: a guy who was a great dude. Upstanding guy. High integrity.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Diana's cool. I like her too. Everyone is great. I
- 18:27Speaker 3: wonder how I would have reacted if I didn't know
- 18:30Speaker 3: these people, but My immediate feeling was just a pit
- 18:34Speaker 3: in my.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Stomach, like, God, damn, this sucks for them and everybody
- 18:40Speaker 2: around them.
- 18:42Speaker 1: I was thinking minimally about how much it sucked for
- 18:45Speaker 1: them and immediately for how much it sucked for the
- 18:51Speaker 1: husband team. in question here, or all the parties involved
- 18:56Speaker 1: in question here. Again, I didn't know. The fact that
- 18:59Speaker 1: we as an industry or whatever are paid six worthy
- 19:02Speaker 1: is bananas. It is like the larger media questions get
- 19:08Speaker 1: to be a little bit tricky because they can veer
- 19:11Speaker 1: into misogyny very, very quickly. There is obviously a clearly
- 19:17Speaker 1: much greater judgment toward Diana in this allegation. than there
- 19:22Speaker 1: is toward Vrabel, though I think to be fair on
- 19:24Speaker 1: that one, there's a code of sorts that exists in
- 19:31Speaker 1: Diana's line of work that this violates, that is not
- 19:34Speaker 1: a violation of whatever code there is in Mike Vrabel's
- 19:37Speaker 1: line of work, if it is as it has been alleged, right?
- 19:41Speaker 1: I think that part is there. I just don't know how,
- 19:46Speaker 1: if the allegation is founded, I don't know how you
- 19:48Speaker 1: can come back and, like, who bring you on to
- 19:49Speaker 1: do this job.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Again yeah i mean it seems like the athletic is
- 19:54Speaker 3: standing behind her but yeah you just you can't really
- 19:58Speaker 3: if you are an information person a reporter an insider
- 20:02Speaker 3: and like people believe that's the that's the really terrible
- 20:07Speaker 3: part about it is like whether it's true or false
- 20:10Speaker 3: if people believe it then you kind of lose the
- 20:14Speaker 3: the value that you bring to this because like you're
- 20:17Speaker 3: presenting yourself as someone who's just presenting the facts and
- 20:20Speaker 3: if people don't believe that you're that person so that's
- 20:22Speaker 3: the part where it's like again i don't know for
- 20:24Speaker 3: sure about anything i can speculate or whatever but i
- 20:28Speaker 3: do know next time there's some reports from her like
- 20:32Speaker 3: no one's The replies are going to be all jokes. No.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Well, I know this, though. If the athletic is standing
- 20:39Speaker 1: behind her and they did stand behind her in that
- 20:42Speaker 1: statement and I wasn't sure that they were going to
- 20:45Speaker 1: do such a thing. That means one thing. She presented
- 20:49Speaker 1: a compelling retort when it was brought to her by
- 20:54Speaker 1: the bosses. So can you tell us what's going on here?
- 20:57Speaker 1: Whatever story she gave must have been a great one.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Cause I definitely expected a, we'll look into it. Yeah.
- 21:08Speaker 3: And yeah, I mean, I assume that there's like all
- 21:11Speaker 3: types of legal ramifications for those decisions that are made,
- 21:15Speaker 3: but if we could get off of them specifically for
- 21:18Speaker 3: a second, just the idea of anyone going on a
- 21:24Speaker 3: vacation with, someone that is not their spouse that's the
- 21:31Speaker 3: shit that's crazy to me what i don't understand is
- 21:36Speaker 3: why i want to like.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Play house like i have a house that's.
- 21:42Speaker 3: The shit that get me and uh yeah it's not
- 21:44Speaker 3: about them just generally it popped into my mind like
- 21:48Speaker 3: i don't know i i cheating happens but having a
- 21:52Speaker 3: whole like Side relationship sounds tiresome.
- 21:57Speaker 2: It does.
- 21:58Speaker 1: It does.
- 21:58Speaker 2: It does.
- 21:59Speaker 1: It seems like a bandwidth drain. But I will say
- 22:03Speaker 1: this for Mike Vrabel. I tell you who he ain't
- 22:04Speaker 1: about to hear nothing about this from. Bob Craft. I
- 22:11Speaker 1: wish you would try to tell me something about this. Oh, y'all,
- 22:13Speaker 1: so what you telling me? I should just go get
- 22:16Speaker 1: a massage. That's what I thought. That's what I... Sit
- 22:19Speaker 1: your old ass down.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and I mean... Not that he was going to
- 22:24Speaker 2: hear anything anyway.
- 22:25Speaker 3: Like, if he just was like, yeah, I got 13 girlfriends,
- 22:31Speaker 3: how many games are we winning?
- 22:34Speaker 2: It's the way it works.
- 22:35Speaker 1: But you actually made a good point here, because I'm
- 22:36Speaker 1: with you. The idea that you are carrying on a
- 22:39Speaker 1: whole side situation, right? Like, that is a significant expenditure
- 22:44Speaker 1: of effort. And let us not forget, man, we are
- 22:46Speaker 1: in a world where people got two families, bruh. I've
- 22:51Speaker 1: heard that before.
- 22:52Speaker 2: That just sounds.
- 22:53Speaker 3: Well, actually, I know people who have experienced something like that.
- 22:56Speaker 3: That don't make sense to me in this day and age,
- 22:59Speaker 3: how you can pull that move off.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Well, well, well, the answer is baseball.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:08Speaker 1: You can pull it off in baseball, right? You go
- 23:11Speaker 1: do spring training wherever it is for all of that time.
- 23:14Speaker 1: You can have one base set up there, then the
- 23:17Speaker 1: other base that's in the other spot, and everybody understands, well, hey,
- 23:21Speaker 1: I do these months over here. I do these months
- 23:24Speaker 1: over here.
- 23:24Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 23:25Speaker 1: You keep the kids in school here. That'll be fine.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I'm going to come holler back at you when we
- 23:29Speaker 1: come back on the other side. You understand what I'm saying?
- 23:32Speaker 1: It sounds expensive. It sounds exhausting. And if you're going
- 23:40Speaker 1: to have two families, it implies that you're actually trying
- 23:43Speaker 1: to manage the relationships and emotions of two spouses, which is,
- 23:47Speaker 1: I mean, one spouse is, one might argue, more work
- 23:51Speaker 1: than one man can handle.
- 23:53Speaker 2: And then the kids on top of it. That is
- 23:56Speaker 2: really hard to try to be that.
- 23:58Speaker 3: You're not being a good spouse or parent to somebody
- 24:03Speaker 3: or to everybody.
- 24:04Speaker 2: And also, like, this might just be me, but the
- 24:09Speaker 2: best thing.
- 24:09Speaker 3: About work travel is, I ain't got to worry about nobody.
- 24:14Speaker 3: I got to make a call, tell people goodnight, remind
- 24:17Speaker 3: them of homework, tell people I love them, and then
- 24:20Speaker 3: I can go to dinner with Ramone Jones in New
- 24:22Speaker 3: York and then go to sleep. I can't imagine being
- 24:25Speaker 3: on a work trip doing all the same stuff.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Like I am.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Yo, especially because this ain't the old days, right? The
- 24:32Speaker 1: old days where you leave the house for a week.
- 24:37Speaker 1: At some point, perhaps you'll hear from me. Ugh. But
- 24:40Speaker 1: there was no obligation that you hear from anybody every
- 24:45Speaker 1: day or on any sort of demand.
- 24:49Speaker 6: Right?
- 24:49Speaker 1: Like, if you got two of them, that's like you
- 24:52Speaker 1: have a foe of them back in the day.
- 24:55Speaker 3: This also just reminds me of, like, whatever privilege, I
- 25:02Speaker 3: don't know if that's the word that we still use,
- 25:03Speaker 3: but whatever privilege that we get from being a man, like, how...
- 25:08Speaker 3: Stark it was back then and how it still exists
- 25:11Speaker 3: is like, because you were the only one that had
- 25:15Speaker 3: any like realistic way of, of generating money yes like
- 25:19Speaker 3: they knew what was up what would they gonna do
- 25:21Speaker 3: go get a job or.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Go get a bank account yeah you can't even on
- 25:26Speaker 1: the board.
- 25:26Speaker 3: That's that's mind-blowing to me like it's just like the
- 25:30Speaker 3: idea that there's a full and i know that there
- 25:33Speaker 3: are other countries in the world where it exists even
- 25:35Speaker 3: worse than this but the idea that a full-grown.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Adult has no recourse No recourse.
- 25:42Speaker 3: She caught me. I heard you got a family in
- 25:45Speaker 3: another city. I know that you going over there with
- 25:47Speaker 3: Latoya and you raising her kids.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Okay. What you going to do?
- 25:52Speaker 1: Pick your next move. Either leave or live with it. Exactly.
- 25:58Speaker 3: And if there were, and I know like the 1950s
- 26:01Speaker 3: television shows depict these dads as being great dads and
- 26:07Speaker 3: fathers and employees.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Those dudes are the best. They just looked at this world.
- 26:15Speaker 2: It could just be whatever they wanted. It was like, no,
- 26:18Speaker 2: I'm going to be good.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Yo, I was thinking about this. You know, you get older.
- 26:23Speaker 1: The world is what it is. Cats tell you what
- 26:25Speaker 1: they do and don't do or whatever. But you have
- 26:27Speaker 1: these situations with these dudes that talk about being out
- 26:29Speaker 1: all night and then coming back home. And my thought
- 26:33Speaker 1: always was, well, what are you saying when you get
- 26:36Speaker 1: back home? Like, what story could you possibly have to
- 26:39Speaker 1: explain this when you get back home? And little did
- 26:42Speaker 1: I know, the answer was, what story? I'm going to
- 26:45Speaker 1: just walk in.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Because you.
- 26:49Speaker 3: suspect that they respect that person as a full adult peer. Like,
- 26:57Speaker 3: could you imagine if I walked in my house at
- 26:59Speaker 3: 1 o'clock and my kids was like, where you been?
- 27:03Speaker 2: I ain't where I been.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Like, that's the same thing that they're like, you come
- 27:07Speaker 3: in the house and your wife is like, where you been?
- 27:10Speaker 2: And they just like, where I been? Whatever the fuck
- 27:14Speaker 2: I want to be.
- 27:14Speaker 1: In my skin.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that's... Yeah, I... Yeah, that's the thing.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Hey, look, apparently that is not the dynamic for either
- 27:23Speaker 1: of these two people as their response to this was,
- 27:27Speaker 1: let me tell you what happened. Like, there's nobody involved
- 27:30Speaker 1: in this situation that believed that they could just dictate
- 27:33Speaker 1: what's going down.
- 27:34Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no.
- 27:36Speaker 1: There was a story. Brother, somebody sent me an AI
- 27:39Speaker 1: workup of them like they was at that Coldplay concert.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Sheesh.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm going to tell you, I don't think
- 27:47Speaker 1: No matter what happened, I don't think either of them
- 27:50Speaker 1: thought that they was famous enough that somebody would be
- 27:53Speaker 1: taking a picture of them at some hotel in Arizona
- 27:57Speaker 1: and sending it off to the newspaper.
- 28:00Speaker 3: But the pictures alone is supposed to be the damning evidence.
- 28:04Speaker 3: I feel like the pictures.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Are explainable. The hard part is then all the other
- 28:10Speaker 2: context around it.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Well, the pictures are explainable depending upon whom you are
- 28:15Speaker 1: trying to explain what. And I say that to say,
- 28:20Speaker 1: explain to your wife the interlocking handhold.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:25Speaker 1: This one right here. Explain that one.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:28Speaker 2: That's a tough one.
- 28:29Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Like, that's the one that you go, like, that's like
- 28:33Speaker 1: when Bobby Petrino got caught up, and no matter what happened,
- 28:36Speaker 1: the part that he couldn't explain was why she was
- 28:38Speaker 1: on your motorcycle.
- 28:39Speaker 6: Like, no matter what deniability that you had, no matter
- 28:44Speaker 6: any story that you came up with, end of the day,
- 28:47Speaker 6: you got that little young thang on the back of
- 28:49Speaker 6: your motorcycle.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Riddle me that, big dog.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Like, I'm just trying to think. Of course, like, I
- 29:00Speaker 3: have lots of friends and lots of people to work with. Like,
- 29:04Speaker 3: hugs are not uncommon. Like, you catch... And we travel
- 29:07Speaker 3: for work. So, like, I'm at Super Bowl at a
- 29:09Speaker 3: hotel with... Yeah. You just interlocking them fingers. I don't...
- 29:15Speaker 3: That's all I'm asking. It's the little things, man. It's
- 29:18Speaker 3: the little things. Because somebody snap a picture of me
- 29:21Speaker 3: hugging somebody at a pool.
- 29:22Speaker 2: It's like, oh, yeah.
- 29:23Speaker 1: I saw.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I ain't seen her in a year. I saw her
- 29:25Speaker 2: at the thing. I hugged her. Oh, you guys... Chairs
- 29:28Speaker 2: was next to each other. Like, yeah, we was talking.
- 29:30Speaker 2: It was cool. All of that. Yeah.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Y'all sitting at dinner with your hands up, tapping fingertips
- 29:39Speaker 1: like this.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Jesus, tough, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 29:42Speaker 1: <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> Like,
- 29:44Speaker 1: the question is this. Would you do that with your cousin?
- 29:46Speaker 1: Because if the answer is no.
- 29:49Speaker 5: Then the story immediately falls apart, right?
- 29:52Speaker 1: Like, you could have an arm around situation, but you
- 29:54Speaker 1: know what? That arm around, that woman knows your wife.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Like you have taken the work and effort to introduce
- 30:02Speaker 1: that woman to your wife with an understanding that I
- 30:06Speaker 1: need to establish some measure of peace in this. Because
- 30:11Speaker 1: to be that close to you, she has to love
- 30:13Speaker 1: your wife. Otherwise, this is not allowed, right?
- 30:16Speaker 2: Right. Yeah, unwritten rules. That's so nice of you right now. Yes,
- 30:20Speaker 2: you know what?
- 30:21Speaker 1: You were right. Because I was terrified that this topic
- 30:23Speaker 1: might come up and what I might do with it.
- 30:25Speaker 1: But you're right. I think I figured out how to
- 30:27Speaker 1: discuss this without ruining any of our relationships or ruining
- 30:31Speaker 1: anything that's going on with our lives, which is good
- 30:35Speaker 1: because I think they might, at least one of them,
- 30:37Speaker 1: have ruined their careers.
- 30:39Speaker 6: Yeah.

- 32:03Speaker 1: All right, we are back with Dominique Foxworth. I guess
- 32:06Speaker 1: you're going to be in Pittsburgh pretty soon for the
- 32:09Speaker 1: NFL draft.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're going to drive up. Me and
- 32:13Speaker 2: Charlie are going to road trip it. Oh, really? Yeah,
- 32:15Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 32:16Speaker 3: I was thinking, like, go to the airport, fly to Pittsburgh.
- 32:18Speaker 3: It's like a four-hour drive. It ain't too bad.
- 32:21Speaker 2: We ride up, me and Charlie get real close.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not saying you're going to learn a lot
- 32:25Speaker 1: about each other. You know what I'm saying?
- 32:27Speaker 2: Put this relationship to the test.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Hey, man, Pittsburgh's shutting down for the draft. Boy, they
- 32:31Speaker 1: cancel the schools and everything.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I mean, they got to. Make it easier.
- 32:36Speaker 3: I'm on board with it. Them kids ain't going to
- 32:38Speaker 3: learn nothing that day. Get them out the streets. Make
- 32:40Speaker 3: it safe. Make it easier for me to get about.
- 32:44Speaker 3: One day in school, we took a year off of school.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Everybody learned from home a few years ago. Y'all can
- 32:49Speaker 3: take a day off.
- 32:49Speaker 2: You'll be all right.
- 32:50Speaker 1: I tell you this, though. You made a very innocent
- 32:52Speaker 1: point earlier that I completely lost track of. I still
- 32:55Speaker 1: have no idea what the Steelers are going to do
- 32:57Speaker 1: at quarterback, and it still might be starting Aaron Rodgers. Like,
- 33:01Speaker 1: I feel like you got the room to walk in
- 33:02Speaker 1: and tell Aaron Rodgers, like, yo, make a move.
- 33:06Speaker 2: They don't want to, though.
- 33:07Speaker 3: I mean, the Steelers make it real hard for me
- 33:10Speaker 3: because I've kind of staked out this very aggressive anti-tanking position.
- 33:18Speaker 3: But I have to be sure that people understand that
- 33:21Speaker 3: extremes on either end are bad. I'm not saying you
- 33:27Speaker 3: can't have a plan for the future. They approach every
- 33:31Speaker 3: season like it's the last season. There's no season after
- 33:36Speaker 3: this one, which I respect and appreciate. And it's made
- 33:40Speaker 3: them somewhat competitive, but not really for a long time.
- 33:45Speaker 3: But yeah, they got to figure out some sort of
- 33:47Speaker 3: transition there, man.
- 33:49Speaker 1: I mean, Aaron Rodgers could never be the answer. And
- 33:54Speaker 1: I just don't think you can operate with the... Aaron
- 33:57Speaker 1: Rodgers last year wasn't good enough. I think that's fair
- 33:59Speaker 1: to say? Yeah. There's no reason to assume he'll be
- 34:02Speaker 1: as good next year as he was last year. That's
- 34:04Speaker 1: just not how things work. So why are we like,
- 34:07Speaker 1: why in the world are you doing this? Why weren't
- 34:10Speaker 1: you the ones to go get Malik Willis or something, right?
- 34:13Speaker 1: There's gotta be a quarterback somewhere. It would have been
- 34:16Speaker 1: okay with me if they went and got Kirk Cousins
- 34:18Speaker 1: compared to the, I mean, I still think that, I
- 34:20Speaker 1: think he's a good idea for what they're doing with
- 34:21Speaker 1: the Raiders, but I can't, I just can't imagine how
- 34:25Speaker 1: they got themselves stuck in this place that they're in.
- 34:28Speaker 1: And by the way, which makes you look at Mike
- 34:29Speaker 1: Tomlin and be like, okay, maybe it wasn't on you.
- 34:32Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:33Speaker 3: I mean, I think the, The argument for the Steelers
- 34:38Speaker 3: bringing Aaron Rodgers back is we have a very expensive
- 34:42Speaker 3: and talented defense that underachieved. I think you could make
- 34:46Speaker 3: the argument that, and I was like making this, when
- 34:49Speaker 3: we were going through all these preseason months last year
- 34:52Speaker 3: and we needed something to talk about and new ways
- 34:54Speaker 3: to spend this same conversation, was like, look, Aaron Rodgers
- 34:58Speaker 3: wasn't good enough in New York.
- 35:00Speaker 2: However, Aaron Rodgers is good.
- 35:03Speaker 3: A legitimate starting quarterback, if all they need him to
- 35:07Speaker 3: do is like be to make one special throw a game,
- 35:11Speaker 3: they might do well because their defense is so good.
- 35:14Speaker 3: The problem is their defense was not that good. So
- 35:17Speaker 3: that's the argument. It's like, look, we bring him back all,
- 35:20Speaker 3: but then you end up with the same thing where
- 35:21Speaker 3: it's like their defense is already old. There's no reason
- 35:24Speaker 3: to believe that that old defense is suddenly going to
- 35:27Speaker 3: be better this year than they were last year. But
- 35:29Speaker 3: that's the only argument is like, we're really close.
- 35:32Speaker 2: As our core.
- 35:33Speaker 3: And if we go to a young quarterback, then we
- 35:36Speaker 3: might as well blow this whole thing up because everyone
- 35:38Speaker 3: else is kind of old too.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:40Speaker 1: But like, and they're not the only team that's in
- 35:42Speaker 1: this place, Arizona. I don't understand what you guys are
- 35:46Speaker 1: doing here. Like, you don't, especially Arizona who said, no,
- 35:51Speaker 1: we'll take a 30 something million dollar cap hit to
- 35:54Speaker 1: tell our quarterback to leave. Well, who's your quarterback? Good question. Now,
- 36:00Speaker 1: you know, when you put it like that, Tough call.
- 36:03Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 36:04Speaker 3: They don't want Kyler back because he might win too
- 36:06Speaker 3: many games.
- 36:08Speaker 1: This is our chance. Yeah, that's it.
- 36:10Speaker 3: It's like we know that we don't want Kyler long term,
- 36:13Speaker 3: long term. So if we're going to be here with
- 36:15Speaker 3: him long term, then that's cool.
- 36:17Speaker 2: We'll bring him back.
- 36:17Speaker 3: We don't want him here long term for whatever number
- 36:20Speaker 3: of reasons. So why are we going to bring him
- 36:23Speaker 3: back in so he can win three or four games
- 36:25Speaker 3: for us that we don't expect to win? We end
- 36:27Speaker 3: up with seven, eight wins, and we.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Don't have our choice of quarterback. I think that's pretty clear.
- 36:33Speaker 3: The cap hit, I mean, the dead money don't matter
- 36:36Speaker 3: if you're not trying to win.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Dead money help you if you're trying to lose.
- 36:40Speaker 1: I think that's all fair. I'm just like, you don't
- 36:44Speaker 1: have a quarterback, but you did have a quarterback. Just
- 36:47Speaker 1: lands a little funny, right? But that's better than being
- 36:50Speaker 1: the Browns that have a million quarterbacks, except they don't.
- 36:53Speaker 1: They don't have a quarterback. The owner has said that
- 36:56Speaker 1: it's possible that Deshaun Watson could be the starter, and
- 36:59Speaker 1: everybody recalled, and I'm like, but it is.
- 37:04Speaker 5: I don't understand why everybody was so mortified by this idea.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Shadur was bad last year. Like, this is not.
- 37:12Speaker 1: I am amazed at the ways in which people try
- 37:14Speaker 1: to talk themselves into he was anything other than bad
- 37:17Speaker 1: last year. Like 10 interceptions for the number of games
- 37:20Speaker 1: that he played in this NFL is almost like throwing
- 37:23Speaker 1: 30 over 16 back in the day. Like, yes, Deshaun
- 37:27Speaker 1: Watson could Hawaii 5'9. He could wind up being the starter.
- 37:32Speaker 3: The reason why Deshaun Watson as a starter doesn't make
- 37:37Speaker 3: sense to me, while I agree with you it's possible,
- 37:41Speaker 3: The Browns aren't, even though they haven't been very successful,
- 37:44Speaker 3: like their decisions been pretty sound with the exception of
- 37:49Speaker 3: the one. Like a lot of their roster construction decisions
- 37:53Speaker 3: were pretty sound, except for the one where Jimmy Haslam
- 37:55Speaker 3: came in and was.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Like, let's get Deshaun Watson a huge contract.
- 37:58Speaker 3: But it doesn't make sense because if Deshaun Watson plays well,
- 38:02Speaker 3: he's on the last year of his deal.
- 38:04Speaker 2: If he plays well, what you going to do? Pay him?
- 38:07Speaker 2: Like you going to pay him again?
- 38:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Like, that one doesn't make sense.
- 38:10Speaker 3: It's almost like they haven't looked at the end of
- 38:13Speaker 3: the calendar or looked at his contract, which is why
- 38:16Speaker 3: I think that maybe that they just saying that nonsense. Like,
- 38:19Speaker 3: maybe he'll play some, but they really going to put
- 38:22Speaker 3: Gabriel and Sanders out there and give them a shot
- 38:25Speaker 3: to lose a bunch of games so they can get
- 38:27Speaker 3: a quarterback next year or give them a shot to
- 38:29Speaker 3: prove themselves.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Hey, man, Todd Munkin, those of you who don't know
- 38:33Speaker 1: this story. Todd Munkin is the new head coach of
- 38:36Speaker 1: the Cleveland Browns. And every year at the owner's meeting,
- 38:38Speaker 1: they take a group picture with the coaches. And Todd
- 38:41Speaker 1: Munkin missed the picture because Todd Munkin had gone to
- 38:47Speaker 1: get a haircut for the picture. And he was not
- 38:51Speaker 1: there in time for the picture. Now, I have said,
- 38:53Speaker 1: I am sure that there is a wide receiver or
- 38:56Speaker 1: two on his roster who could absolutely relate. to deciding
- 38:59Speaker 1: that the haircut for the picture is actually more important
- 39:02Speaker 1: than the picture itself. My concern for Todd Munkin, I
- 39:05Speaker 1: don't know how important it is for him to be
- 39:07Speaker 1: an NFL head coach, but if it is, I would
- 39:09Speaker 1: think that you would want as many mementos as you
- 39:11Speaker 1: could possibly get. And I would not assume that you'll
- 39:14Speaker 1: just be able to take a picture next year.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:16Speaker 3: I mean, did David Culley miss his opportunity? Was he
- 39:20Speaker 3: getting to shape up when he got his picture taken?
- 39:22Speaker 2: I hope not. I hope young David Culley was, oh,
- 39:25Speaker 2: not young. Old David Culley.
- 39:27Speaker 5: David Culley showed up already ready for that shit. David Culley,
- 39:30Speaker 5: remind me. Remember that brother they made.
- 39:32Speaker 1: The Senator? in Illinois.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Yeah, like that's like, hey, they'll be calling me Senator
- 39:41Speaker 1: for the rest of my life.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Yeah, just go ahead and give me them two weeks.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Put my name on there.
- 39:46Speaker 1: My pension just went to a whole nother level.
- 39:50Speaker 3: Grand opening, grand closing. But yeah, I was surprised that
- 39:54Speaker 3: Todd Munkin didn't make it. Also, like, this is like
- 39:59Speaker 3: a part of the culture that I don't know, but
- 40:03Speaker 3: Don't white haircuts last longer? Like, why are you getting
- 40:06Speaker 3: a haircut at the event? Don't you get that before
- 40:08Speaker 3: you come?
- 40:09Speaker 1: That's how you know he really cared about this picture, man. Like,
- 40:12Speaker 1: he just wanted to be, he really wanted to be
- 40:15Speaker 1: sharp with it, right? Like, this was a big thing
- 40:18Speaker 1: for him.
- 40:19Speaker 3: But don't they say, like, this is something I've always
- 40:21Speaker 3: heard white guys say, is that the haircut is best
- 40:24Speaker 3: a week after you get the haircut, right?
- 40:26Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 40:26Speaker 3: It's not like us where day one- I got my
- 40:30Speaker 3: hair cut the morning of my wedding because I wanted
- 40:32Speaker 3: it to be extra sharp. They planned a week out,
- 40:35Speaker 3: I thought. It just seemed like.
- 40:36Speaker 1: So you're saying Mike Vrabel got his hair cut 10
- 40:39Speaker 1: days before the owner's meeting because he really needed it
- 40:41Speaker 1: to be right that weekend before?
- 40:44Speaker 2: For the pictures.
- 40:46Speaker 1: To hang out with the homies at the hotel in Arizona.
- 40:50Speaker 2: I thought we was done with this.
- 40:52Speaker 1: I thought we was done.
- 40:53Speaker 2: I was.
- 40:54Speaker 1: I was.
- 40:55Speaker 5: I had walked away. And then I started to wonder.
- 40:58Speaker 5: So when did Mike Frable get his haircut? Or do
- 41:00Speaker 5: he even worry, right? He just gorilla with it. He
- 41:03Speaker 5: just show up as he show up. He might not
- 41:05Speaker 5: even get a shower.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:07Speaker 3: I mean, he gives off that vibe. He's like gives
- 41:11Speaker 3: off hockey player. dirty offensive lineman. I am what I am,
- 41:16Speaker 3: kind of like a bear vibe.
- 41:18Speaker 1: I will say I remember this. When that year was
- 41:22Speaker 1: that Mike Vrabel didn't get a job, Diana had reported
- 41:26Speaker 1: that she had dinner with somebody at the senior bowl
- 41:29Speaker 1: and the general manager was like, well, he don't get
- 41:31Speaker 1: no job because he's such a big intimidating man and
- 41:35Speaker 1: my immediate thought was wow that unnamed source named Mike
- 41:38Speaker 1: Vrabel just offered his theory as to why Mike Vrabel
- 41:42Speaker 1: because who else would say such a thing.
- 41:45Speaker 5: Then it turned out that she came with a report
- 41:48Speaker 5: that said actually Vrabel was hot because Vrabel thought that
- 41:51Speaker 5: she was calling him fat And so she had to
- 41:54Speaker 5: walk it back because Vrabel thought that Diana was reporting
- 41:58Speaker 5: that Vrabel was fat. And that's why the coaches didn't
- 42:02Speaker 5: want to hire him as a coach.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Let me tell you, boy, the internet actually had been
- 42:07Speaker 1: on this hypothesis for quite a while before this actually
- 42:13Speaker 1: came out. I was shocked how many regular people had
- 42:17Speaker 1: theories on this.
- 42:18Speaker 3: I thought the too intimidating to hire was the domain
- 42:22Speaker 3: of the black man. i didn't realize that mike bravo
- 42:27Speaker 3: was bringing that that heat also is that you could
- 42:30Speaker 3: also be too intimidating to hide.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Like i i've heard plenty of guys.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Tell me that something ain't work out like black i
- 42:38Speaker 3: thought i was gonna rob.
- 42:39Speaker 2: The place maybe also you ain't got no.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Degree hey look as as diana said at the time
- 42:46Speaker 1: on the part of my take podcast his hands are
- 42:48Speaker 1: the size.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Of your head But y'all believe, man.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Mike Ray was a big dude, man.
- 42:56Speaker 2: He is.
- 42:58Speaker 1: He's a very large man who.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Man, this is.
- 43:04Speaker 1: This is wild.
- 43:05Speaker 2: It is, man.
- 43:06Speaker 1: It is.
- 43:06Speaker 2: That's all I got.
- 43:08Speaker 3: I believe their stories, and I hope that the truth
- 43:11Speaker 3: comes out and that they are exonerated of the allegations.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, man, people around them believe... Her bosses believe
- 43:20Speaker 1: this story. So what we are discussing here is a
- 43:23Speaker 1: wild story.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Unfounded allegations.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Allegations that we have no confirmation of, but allegations that
- 43:33Speaker 1: I am glad that I don't have to explain to
- 43:36Speaker 1: anybody else.
- 43:38Speaker 2: You. I can't imagine. At least the kids is young, man.
- 43:44Speaker 1: You know, like you got to hit this one with a,
- 43:46Speaker 1: I've said what I've said. I have nothing more to
- 43:49Speaker 1: say on this matter.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Oh, God, man. That pit's still there, man. I still
- 43:56Speaker 2: feel terrible. It would be awful. Oh, I feel terrible.
- 44:00Speaker 2: It would be awful.
- 44:00Speaker 1: By the way, draft talk. There we go.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Draft talk.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Shout out to Fernando Mendoza. And I'm sending a shout
- 44:06Speaker 1: out to him because he going to watch the draft
- 44:08Speaker 1: at the crib. I don't know why more guys don't
- 44:11Speaker 1: do that. I would much rather. I think I would
- 44:14Speaker 1: much rather watch the draft at the crib with the homies. Now,
- 44:18Speaker 1: it's a little tricky if you try to get some
- 44:20Speaker 1: homies out of your life. Yeah. then you can't really
- 44:22Speaker 1: do it at the crib. Or you got to be careful.
- 44:25Speaker 1: I think it was Ha Ha Clinton Dix. You can
- 44:27Speaker 1: look at the picture of him watching the draft at
- 44:29Speaker 1: the crib and somebody left something on the couch.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:35Speaker 1: A little party favor.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Oh, I don't remember that. But yeah, good for Ha Ha.
- 44:41Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 44:41Speaker 2: He was ready.
- 44:44Speaker 1: He was ready to celebrate.
- 44:45Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 44:47Speaker 3: The one thing about, I guess it depends on who
- 44:49Speaker 3: you are and what you're into.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Oh, hold on right fast. According to Google Gemini, it
- 44:54Speaker 1: is false that HaHa Clinton Diggs had a joint next
- 44:56Speaker 1: to him in a photo shortly before the 2014 draft.
- 45:00Speaker 1: I tell you this, it looked just like a joint.
- 45:08Speaker 3: The night, it's a big moment, man. So I guess
- 45:11Speaker 3: it depends on how you want to celebrate. Do you
- 45:13Speaker 3: want to have a family celebration because the year the
- 45:17Speaker 3: draft was in Vegas?
- 45:18Speaker 1: Yes.
- 45:19Speaker 2: Pretty good place to be after you just became a
- 45:21Speaker 2: first-round draft pick.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Now, that is true. If it was in Vegas, yeah,
- 45:25Speaker 1: I'm probably pulling up to the draft. Look what I
- 45:28Speaker 1: just sent you, by the way. I'm probably pulling up.
- 45:30Speaker 1: But otherwise, like, I love Joe Thomas when he got drafted.
- 45:33Speaker 1: He knew who was going to draft him. Him and
- 45:35Speaker 1: his daddy just went fishing, right? Like, I imagine, Dominique,
- 45:39Speaker 1: I know you went through this because you waited so long.
- 45:41Speaker 1: You ain't waited a long time to get drafted, but
- 45:43Speaker 1: you waited long enough that a white man got drafted
- 45:46Speaker 1: to play quarter before you. and I know that had
- 45:48Speaker 1: to be tough. There's no need to sit around, man.
- 45:51Speaker 1: They'll call you when you get drafted. They'll let you know.
- 45:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but you can't. So, yeah, that definitely looks like
- 45:57Speaker 2: what it looks like. But the.
- 46:03Speaker 3: You can't ignore it man like the thing is they'll
- 46:06Speaker 3: call you but everybody knows on so it's on like
- 46:09Speaker 3: it's not like you could just pretend like it's not
- 46:12Speaker 3: happening so yeah i i remember i wasn't invited to
- 46:15Speaker 3: draft of course i think i was 96 pick 96
- 46:19Speaker 3: just to be clear no i don't wait around it's
- 46:21Speaker 3: not a high pick when you waiting around all day
- 46:25Speaker 3: and people at your house i'll have you know that
- 46:27Speaker 3: is a very low pick at that.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Point was they in there saying dumb shit.
- 46:30Speaker 2: To you No, it's because they knew better.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Okay.
- 46:35Speaker 3: Everyone was trying to pretend like they were just there
- 46:38Speaker 3: for a party. No one expected me to go in
- 46:41Speaker 3: the first round. Once we got through the second round,
- 46:44Speaker 3: it was like, people stopped paying attention. Then we get
- 46:47Speaker 3: to late in the third. That's when we all just
- 46:50Speaker 3: pretended like nothing was happening. And praise be that the
- 46:54Speaker 3: Broncos gave me a call. Because if I had to
- 46:56Speaker 3: wait another day, that was back when first, second, and
- 46:58Speaker 3: third were all on the same day. If I had
- 47:00Speaker 3: to wait another day, that'd have been real rough. Don't
- 47:02Speaker 3: come back over.
- 47:04Speaker 1: By the way, HaHa said he was in a crowded restaurant,
- 47:07Speaker 1: which has absolutely nothing to do with.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Man.
- 47:12Speaker 1: All you got is what? All you got is what
- 47:14Speaker 1: it what? Icy shit about.
- 47:16Speaker 2: What it was. I believe him. It happens all the time.
- 47:20Speaker 3: There are joints laying on booths and crowded restaurants every day.
- 47:24Speaker 2: I see it. I trust him.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Hey, look, man. I'm looking at him like, this actually
- 47:33Speaker 1: made you a little cooler with me. You know what
- 47:36Speaker 1: I'm saying? This is not disqualified. I guess you don't
- 47:38Speaker 1: want to have to go pee tomorrow morning. That... That
- 47:41Speaker 1: part I can understand.
- 47:42Speaker 3: It's a different time in the NFL in general and
- 47:45Speaker 3: the way they felt about those things.
- 47:47Speaker 2: You remember, obviously, the Laramie Tunsil thing.
- 47:50Speaker 3: If that happened, he would not slide down the draft
- 47:52Speaker 3: board in the way that he did where he had
- 47:54Speaker 3: that gas mask full of weed.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Yo, he had the gas mask full of weed, and
- 47:58Speaker 1: then he got out there talking about how he'd be
- 48:00Speaker 1: getting paid.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Oh, that's right. I forgot about that.
- 48:06Speaker 1: He did. Yeah, he had a wild draft night. Like,
- 48:10Speaker 1: whoever it was who did that to him was foul.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that's pretty bad. Somebody was, like, trying to blackmail him, right? Yes.
- 48:18Speaker 2: Which is, that's the thing about the blackmail.
- 48:21Speaker 3: It's like, it's, we all gonna lose, but either you
- 48:25Speaker 3: pay me, Well, we all going to lose because he
- 48:28Speaker 3: definitely ain't pay you.
- 48:28Speaker 2: After you put it out.
- 48:29Speaker 1: No, no. You've lost all your leverage.
- 48:33Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 48:33Speaker 3: Like you hold it on until he signed a contract
- 48:35Speaker 3: and say I'm embarrassed.
- 48:36Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 48:37Speaker 1: And also offensive linemen, generally speaking, are good dudes.
- 48:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 48:41Speaker 1: Defensive linemen. Rolling the dice. Offensive linemen, generally speaking, good.
- 48:47Speaker 6: Dudes, right?
- 48:48Speaker 5: Like you out here trying to blackmail somebody that people like.
- 48:51Speaker 3: I ain't been in a locker room as much as
- 48:53Speaker 3: I was at one point, but. The archetypes of positions,
- 48:58Speaker 3: that was the realest thing ever. I could pick you out.
- 49:02Speaker 3: I could tell exactly what position you played in high
- 49:04Speaker 3: school based on the way that you carried yourself. I
- 49:06Speaker 3: don't know if it stands up today, but you're right.
- 49:09Speaker 3: There's a very different way the way defensive players, defensive
- 49:13Speaker 3: linemen in particular, carry themselves. And cornerbacks, we're going to
- 49:17Speaker 3: be the loudest in every room, as many dials. as
- 49:20Speaker 3: you can find. The guys who draw the most attention,
- 49:23Speaker 3: very much cornerbacks, even higher than receivers.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Yeah, well, quarterbacks and receivers, same thing in common. Most
- 49:27Speaker 1: of y'all ran track.
- 49:30Speaker 2: I didn't. I should have.
- 49:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I was going to say, inexplicably, right? Like that is,
- 49:34Speaker 1: but like that track behavior coming there, offensive linemen over
- 49:37Speaker 1: there playing Sudoku. You know what I'm saying? They a
- 49:42Speaker 1: different bunch of cats.
- 49:44Speaker 3: They always fishing and hunting. That's the very different vibe.
- 49:49Speaker 3: They pride themselves on how poorly dressed they are. That's
- 49:55Speaker 3: a point of pride. Don't tell them they look nice.
- 49:57Speaker 3: Their feelings will be hurt.
- 49:58Speaker 1: Those are only the closest to a nerd position group.
- 50:03Speaker 1: If Jonathan Ogden had wide receiver talent, I'm not sure
- 50:07Speaker 1: Jonathan Ogden turns into an NFL wide receiver. Nah.
- 50:11Speaker 2: And to be clear, Johnson Ogden, kind of has athletic.
- 50:14Speaker 3: That big motherfucker move, man.
- 50:18Speaker 2: He's unreal.
- 50:20Speaker 1: We got an episode coming up with Nate Tice about
- 50:22Speaker 1: the 2011 draft and somehow we wind up talking about Ogden.
- 50:26Speaker 1: And Ogden, the notion or idea of Ogden, who they
- 50:29Speaker 1: drafted the same draft as Ray Lewis.
- 50:31Speaker 2: The same round.
- 50:34Speaker 3: That's Ozzy's first draft as a GM for the first
- 50:37Speaker 3: year of the Baltimore Ravens.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Yes. There's an argument that Ray Lewis was not the
- 50:42Speaker 1: best player that they took in the first round that year.
- 50:44Speaker 1: And that's not at all shade to Ray Lewis. That's
- 50:47Speaker 1: just how cold Ogden was.
- 50:48Speaker 3: He was the second one taken. They had a choice.
- 50:52Speaker 3: They're like, who we want more?
- 50:54Speaker 1: Bad guy i'd say they were right the best ogden
- 50:57Speaker 1: story this guy named josh lux he wrote this tell-all
- 51:00Speaker 1: book as an agent that seemed kind of like salacious
- 51:03Speaker 1: at the time but now probably goes back and reads
- 51:06Speaker 1: as prophetic and so one of the things that he
- 51:08Speaker 1: talked about was like how you recruited players and so
- 51:10Speaker 1: you'd be out you'd meet them or whatever and you
- 51:12Speaker 1: know you just do a lot of things to try
- 51:14Speaker 1: to woo them and sway them and so one thing
- 51:17Speaker 1: that he did was he was trying to get jonathan
- 51:19Speaker 1: ogden's And so he got front row tickets to a
- 51:23Speaker 1: Janet Jackson concert for Jonathan Ogden. Now, have you ever
- 51:26Speaker 1: been to a Janet Jackson concert?
- 51:28Speaker 2: No, but I mean, I've seen the videos.
- 51:30Speaker 1: So I went to a Janet Jackson concert once, and
- 51:33Speaker 1: it is a very interesting breakdown of who the people
- 51:36Speaker 1: are who attend a Janet Jackson concert. You have straight
- 51:41Speaker 1: women with their homegirls, right? You have straight women with
- 51:46Speaker 1: their dates, right? There's Janet Jackson fans. You have not
- 51:50Speaker 1: straight women and that goes all kinds of directions and
- 51:55Speaker 1: the gay dudes who are there. But there's another interesting
- 51:59Speaker 1: group that doesn't really have a place or a role,
- 52:02Speaker 1: which is straight men who don't have girlfriends, but really
- 52:08Speaker 1: love Janet Jackson. Perhaps it's because you love Janet Jackson's
- 52:12Speaker 1: music or it's just because Janet Jackson. Anyway, Josh Lux.
- 52:18Speaker 1: in his book, said he took Jonathan Ogden to the
- 52:21Speaker 1: Janet Jackson concert and that Jonathan Ogden was down there,
- 52:25Speaker 1: front row, singing those songs at the top of his lungs.
- 52:31Speaker 1: Come on, baby, let's get away. And it's 20-something-year-old Ogden.
- 52:37Speaker 1: It's college Ogden, a big old 6'9, dancing bear of
- 52:41Speaker 1: a dork, singing Jenny Jackson songs at the top of
- 52:46Speaker 1: his lungs, and I need the footage.
- 52:49Speaker 2: I mean, the poor people who were behind him. Oh,
- 52:52Speaker 2: my God.
- 52:52Speaker 3: You are excited about your third row seats at the
- 52:56Speaker 3: Janet Jackson concert.
- 52:57Speaker 2: Yes. It is like obstructive view.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Yes. But you know what, though? You Jonathan Ogden, put
- 53:03Speaker 1: a little mama up on your shoulder. I bet she'd
- 53:06Speaker 1: love it.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Probably. But that is even more obstructive view for the
- 53:10Speaker 2: people behind you. You can't go nowhere at 6'9.
- 53:13Speaker 1: He could have put four of them. on his shoulders
- 53:15Speaker 1: if he wanted to.
- 53:16Speaker 3: I sent you that picture. I assume you've seen it
- 53:18Speaker 3: before of Jonathan. Yeah, he went to high school around here.
- 53:22Speaker 3: Charlie Kravitz. Yeah, but the same school as Charlie Kravitz,
- 53:26Speaker 3: and it's a picture of Jonathan Ogden playing O-line.
- 53:29Speaker 1: This is my favorite picture of all time, and it is,
- 53:31Speaker 1: to me, a friendly reminder. Changing schools to play football... Eh,
- 53:41Speaker 1: I don't know if it's that necessary, right? What you
- 53:44Speaker 1: need to be is big and fast. And if you're
- 53:47Speaker 1: big and fast, we'll.
- 53:48Speaker 2: Work it out.
- 53:48Speaker 1: Because Jonathan Ogden was out there playing against the future
- 53:52Speaker 1: diplomats of America in high school.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a.
- 53:57Speaker 3: The school is a private school that is... And the
- 54:00Speaker 3: funny thing is, the league has gotten a lot more
- 54:03Speaker 3: aggressive about recruiting football players. And my daughter's school is
- 54:08Speaker 3: in that league.
- 54:09Speaker 2: They left it.
- 54:10Speaker 3: From a football standpoint, because it's a small school that's
- 54:13Speaker 3: like very academic focused and they put effort into like
- 54:16Speaker 3: recruiting basketball players, but they can't put together a football
- 54:20Speaker 3: team where the kids won't, won't like get hurt because
- 54:24Speaker 3: it's a small school and it's really hard to find
- 54:28Speaker 3: enough big dudes at a small school that is very
- 54:32Speaker 3: competitive academically that somebody won't get hurt.
- 54:35Speaker 2: So they got to schedule their own games. They don't
- 54:36Speaker 2: really got like a legitimate football team.
- 54:39Speaker 1: They need to be glad Ogden was a nice guy. Right?
- 54:44Speaker 1: Because a different personality type.
- 54:47Speaker 2: Are we sure that some people ain't have to pay?
- 54:50Speaker 2: I'm sure.
- 54:51Speaker 1: I'm sure somebody paid, but I bet he apologized.
- 54:54Speaker 2: Probably.
- 54:55Speaker 3: I'm guessing that some people ain't show up either. I
- 54:58Speaker 3: wouldn't put my kids out there.
- 54:59Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Like, was this time for us to study film?
- 55:03Speaker 3: Yeah i'm like good you can win that game we're
- 55:06Speaker 3: not this ain't college we don't need the money to
- 55:08Speaker 3: go get beat up by lsu so that we can
- 55:10Speaker 3: fund this program coach.
- 55:12Speaker 1: I forgot to tell you this i don't know if
- 55:14Speaker 1: you knew this but i'm actually an orthodox jew just
- 55:20Speaker 1: this weekend once the sun goes down yeah i just
- 55:23Speaker 1: i just pledged like i just crossed last week Right?
- 55:27Speaker 1: You know, I just started, don't you see me wearing
- 55:30Speaker 1: the colors?
- 55:30Speaker 4: Right?
- 55:31Speaker 1: Do you not see this hat?
- 55:32Speaker 5: Okay.
- 55:33Speaker 1: So things are going to be a little different. And
- 55:35Speaker 1: once the sun go down, I can't be out there
- 55:39Speaker 1: messing with Jonathan. I mean, I got to go inside.
- 55:44Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. I'm spraining my ankle on the opening kickoff.
- 55:50Speaker 1: That's the other part, too. He was probably in there
- 55:52Speaker 1: playing defensive tackle. not fair.
- 55:55Speaker 2: It's impossible.
- 55:57Speaker 3: He was 6'9 in high school at 300 pounds and
- 56:00Speaker 3: more athletic than everybody. That's just not fair. To your point,
- 56:04Speaker 3: football is one of those games. It's not like these
- 56:06Speaker 3: other ones. Even in wrestling, you can only get hurt
- 56:09Speaker 3: so badly.
- 56:10Speaker 2: Football, we keep going. You keep doing it. It's like...
- 56:14Speaker 2: You just keep playing. It's just not fair.
- 56:17Speaker 3: Wrestling, if he really big and strong, he gonna pin me.
- 56:19Speaker 2: It's over. In three seconds. Football, they keep putting these
- 56:23Speaker 2: kids back out.
- 56:24Speaker 3: There against somebody who they just don't belong up against.
- 56:28Speaker 2: It just don't work.
- 56:31Speaker 5: Dominique Fosworth. Check him out on the Dominique Fosworth show.
- 56:37Speaker 5: I can't go back and talk about that other thing again.
- 56:40Speaker 2: No, no.
- 56:40Speaker 1: I just need to protect us in this show right now.
- 56:44Speaker 1: Check him out on the Dominique Foster Show, available for
- 56:46Speaker 1: all five podcasts. I give it away for free. My brother,
