- 0:01Speaker 1: For all you mad bastards loving the Big Show podcast,
- 0:05Speaker 1: get up even closer on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Or raw doggies.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Four to seven every weekday. On Radio Hodak here.
- 0:18Speaker 2: G'day, fellas. Hello. Got a bit more energy today there, fellas?
- 0:23Speaker 1: Yeah. I had a good sleep, actually. It was really good.
- 0:28Speaker 1: But I did something very embarrassing walking to work today.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Dick out.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Oh, is it dick out? That's standy.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Yeah. It's not embarrassing.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Yeah, why would that be embarrassing?
- 0:37Speaker 2: It's sort of a hideous looking bastard, isn't it?
- 0:39Speaker 1: Is it?
- 0:39Speaker 2: Because of that crook circumcision you've got. Oh, yeah.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, the scarring.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah, with just that ankle sock, which actually looks literally
- 0:49Speaker 2: like an ankle sock. It looks like one of those
- 0:51Speaker 2: gold top socks, business socks.
- 0:53Speaker 1: If you want a sort of visual of it. I don't.
- 0:55Speaker 3: I do.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Imagine a Shakespearean actor with a ruff.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right. That big ruffled collar. And then imagine
- 1:03Speaker 2: that sort of the colour of dead skin.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Yeah, grey kind of look to it.
- 1:11Speaker 3: So a Shakespearean actor with a ruff on that's had
- 1:13Speaker 3: the plague.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:15Speaker 3: And that's just sort of hanging out of your pants.
- 1:16Speaker 2: And that's sort of slopping around.
- 1:18Speaker 1: No, but what I actually did was I walked down
- 1:21Speaker 1: to the end of my street there to the lights,
- 1:24Speaker 1: had me uggies on.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Fuck's sake, your ugg boots.
- 1:28Speaker 2: And I.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I was standing there and I went, exactly, that's what
- 1:32Speaker 1: I said, Keezy. I went, oh, for fuck's sake. I've
- 1:35Speaker 1: got my hat boots on.
- 1:36Speaker 2: It's coming to an end, isn't it? It's trying to
- 1:38Speaker 2: do a close.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I had to walk back and change me shoes.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Were you wearing a dressing gown as well?
- 1:45Speaker 1: No, because we'd already been out for a massive.
- 1:47Speaker 3: And he had hair curlers in.
- 1:47Speaker 1: We had, you know, breakfast and a lovely walk around
- 1:50Speaker 1: the city, so... In your Ugg boots? No, in my
- 1:53Speaker 1: normal boots. Oh, no, I wore my blondies this morning.
- 1:56Speaker 4: No, you didn't.
- 1:56Speaker 2: That's such a lie. No, you didn't. Those are gone.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Those are in the fucking wardrobe forever.
- 2:01Speaker 1: And so then I got home and put my Uggies on.
- 2:03Speaker 2: It's interesting, isn't it? Because that's the beginning of the
- 2:05Speaker 2: end for you.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Is it?
- 2:06Speaker 2: That's it. Yeah. I do a similar thing, but I
- 2:09Speaker 2: do it on purpose, which is I drop my daughter
- 2:10Speaker 2: off to school if I don't walk her. I just
- 2:12Speaker 2: go in my pyjamas.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Because I don't get out of the car. The principal
- 2:16Speaker 2: opens the door at your drop-off area. Oh, wow. They
- 2:19Speaker 2: get out and then you just take off, you know.
- 2:20Speaker 3: The principal does that?
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah. She likes to have contact. It used to be
- 2:23Speaker 2: the caretaker. Yeah, right. And now they've got the principal
- 2:26Speaker 2: doing it. Wow. But, yeah, like wandering around in your
- 2:28Speaker 2: fucking undies. Yeah, that's no good. Never mind. You had
- 2:31Speaker 2: a good run. You had a good run. I did
- 2:33Speaker 2: have a good run.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Did part of you think about just leaving it and
- 2:37Speaker 3: just coming into work?
- 2:38Speaker 1: For a moment, yeah.
- 2:39Speaker 3: I fucking oath you would have thought it was.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Well, they've got quite a thick sort of plastic sole
- 2:43Speaker 1: on them. They do. So it's like.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Yeah, but you look like a drongo.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Like my daughter wears them around town.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Yeah, but she's like cool though.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Yeah, well, she's not. Yeah.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Well, drive by.
- 2:54Speaker 1: No, she's pretty cool.
- 2:55Speaker 3: What colour are your uggies?
- 2:56Speaker 2: Brown. Brown.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Do they have like white fluff? No.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Brown fluff. Yeah, the fluff, that means you can wear
- 3:01Speaker 2: them around the outside. Do you know what I mean?
- 3:04Speaker 2: If they've got a band of fluff around them as
- 3:05Speaker 2: if you're going for a walk through the streets of Aspen.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Yes.
- 3:09Speaker 2: You know?
- 3:10Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's amazing, actually, in terms of,
- 3:14Speaker 1: you know, wearing your pyjamas, the amount of people that
- 3:16Speaker 1: do wear their pyjamas around the place.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Right.
- 3:18Speaker 1: And supermarkets and shit. I'm like, what the fuck is
- 3:20Speaker 1: going on?
- 3:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and pyjamas as well. Pyjamas is a thing. People
- 3:24Speaker 2: are just comfortable. No, that's what I mean.
- 3:25Speaker 1: People wearing pyjamas. Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 3:27Speaker 2: As well as, like, but yeah, yeah. 100%. It's a disgrace.
- 3:30Speaker 3: So many people are wearing pyjamas out west.
- 3:32Speaker 1: It's weird, eh? What's the difference?
- 3:33Speaker 3: It's just clothes.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I guess so.
- 3:35Speaker 2: No, it's shameless.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yeah, it's terrible.
- 3:38Speaker 2: No self-respect.
- 3:38Speaker 1: It's a lack of effort.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 3:41Speaker 3: When you're at home, do you look like shit? Do
- 3:44Speaker 3: you have your I don't like shit outfit?
- 3:45Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I do too.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Yeah, totally, I do.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Because I come in here and I look pretty good.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Compared to what? Compared to who?
- 3:52Speaker 3: Just the universal scale of looking good. Yeah, compared to Pax.
- 3:57Speaker 3: But when I'm at home, I haven't had a shower.
- 3:59Speaker 3: I've just woken up. I've hopped into my green sweatpants,
- 4:01Speaker 3: green hoodie, and put my woolly socks on.
- 4:03Speaker 2: I look like shit. I'm just on the couch. I mean,
- 4:06Speaker 2: I look great, but I'm just wearing those things. So
- 4:08Speaker 2: I'll be wearing my black trackers, my black hoodie, my
- 4:13Speaker 2: crocheted warm winter socks. And then I'll have my Ugg
- 4:17Speaker 2: boots on as well.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Socks and Ugg boots with crochet. Wow, your feet must
- 4:21Speaker 3: be on fire.
- 4:22Speaker 2: It's pretty good. It's cold in the house.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I have my black trackies.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Stains and shit all down the front.
- 4:30Speaker 1: A big grey old sweatshirt and my Ugg boots.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Do you wear undies underneath you?
- 4:34Speaker 1: Yes.
- 4:35Speaker 2: You do?
- 4:35Speaker 3: Sometimes I don't.
- 4:37Speaker 2: It's annoying, isn't it, Keezy, when you put yourself away
- 4:40Speaker 2: but you haven't really shaken enough and there's just piss
- 4:43Speaker 2: all down your leg. You're saying that happens to you
- 4:45Speaker 2: every day. You love it because you're a shark in birth.
- 4:49Speaker 1: So you look like shit and you smell like wheeze.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I can cover them.
- 4:53Speaker 1: No, but to answer your question.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that's correct, Jase.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Yeah, for about an hour. For about an hour. Well,
- 4:58Speaker 1: basically until I shower.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Which is at two. Well, yeah, it depends what's going
- 5:03Speaker 2: on because I might just work from home. In which case,
- 5:05Speaker 2: I'm not getting dressed. Yeah, yeah.
- 5:07Speaker 3: The Hauraki Beast Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
- 5:12Speaker 3: You know how good the Hodaki Big Show podcast is?
- 5:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I love those fellas. Backbone. Yeah, backbone.
- 5:20Speaker 1: You get it. You've got to get around the live
- 5:22Speaker 1: radio show. Oh, you?
- 5:24Speaker 2: When's that? Four to seven weekdays on Radio Hodaki and iHeartRadio.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Backbone.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Nice.
- 5:33Speaker 1: The Hodaki Big Show podcast.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Do you ever have those days where you just stay
- 5:37Speaker 3: in your I-look-like-shit clothes and then you go to go
- 5:39Speaker 3: to bed and you go, hang on, I haven't had
- 5:40Speaker 3: a shower yet.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Yes.
- 5:42Speaker 3: And then you just go to bed anyway?
- 5:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I do.
- 5:45Speaker 3: I haven't had one of those in ages.
- 5:46Speaker 1: No, neither, but I have had those days.
- 5:49Speaker 3: You're right.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Where you just go, oh,
- 5:51Speaker 1: fuck it, who cares?
- 5:53Speaker 3: What kind of shaver do you guys use?
- 5:55Speaker 2: An epi lady.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Just a– well, funnily enough, I use– I believe that.
- 6:01Speaker 1: it's a bit something or other but it's a the
- 6:04Speaker 1: blue one for the woman's for woman you use a
- 6:07Speaker 1: woman's razor you know a twin a twin I'm on a.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Triple yeah I'm on a triple anybody worth their salt's
- 6:12Speaker 2: on a triple if you're on more than that then
- 6:16Speaker 2: you're a pretentious you're a prick yeah but.
- 6:19Speaker 1: They're shit two blades is plenty for me no it's.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Not enough you need three man you need three because
- 6:24Speaker 3: look you've shaved eight you've just shaved and you're prickly
- 6:27Speaker 3: as Why were you touching me? No, I could see it.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I was touching you.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I shaved yesterday.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah, right. You need to treat yourself, man, to a
- 6:37Speaker 2: Mac 3.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Nah.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Have you ever used one? You wouldn't even know how.
- 6:41Speaker 3: He's still got the bulk pack plastic bag of the
- 6:44Speaker 3: thin blue bics.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Yeah, they're the ones.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Fuck off, you have those.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I do.
- 6:48Speaker 2: I'll send you a pic. Have they got the floral
- 6:50Speaker 2: thing up the side?
- 6:51Speaker 1: They're blue.
- 6:53Speaker 2: You wouldn't know that they're necessarily- There's also the orange
- 6:55Speaker 2: ones that are the same thing.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I don't like the orange ones. They've got
- 6:57Speaker 1: to be the blue thin ones.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Out of curiosity, talk us through your shaving process.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Okay, get my dick out.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Your face shaving process because mine is shaving gel rub
- 7:11Speaker 3: it on my face they're foamy where.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Are you though you haven't started from the start I'm in.
- 7:14Speaker 3: The bathroom I'm in the bathroom I look.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Like shit where are you though we're in the bathroom.
- 7:18Speaker 3: My house standing in front of the sink my house
- 7:21Speaker 3: I'm standing in front of the sink my back is
- 7:23Speaker 3: to the bathtub and I'm looking in the mirror now
- 7:25Speaker 3: under the sink it's a drawer I've opened it we're
- 7:27Speaker 3: already different Right side, my stuff. Left side, Lucy's stuff.
- 7:30Speaker 3: So I've grabbed out my shaving gel. And the part
- 7:33Speaker 3: that makes me different is I have two razors.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Where was the shower in the setup?
- 7:38Speaker 3: Bathtubs behind me.
- 7:39Speaker 2: No, no, no. Showers also behind me. Not literally. We
- 7:41Speaker 2: are in your process of the day. When did you
- 7:43Speaker 2: last shower?
- 7:44Speaker 3: This is after my shower.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Because your skin's all.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Soft and supple. Supple. All supple.
- 7:49Speaker 3: I've got two razors. One for down strokes to take
- 7:53Speaker 3: the head of it off. And then one for a
- 7:55Speaker 3: closer upward shave. because I.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Noticed that when I was doing... I must all respect
- 8:01Speaker 2: for you, Keezy. That's fucking bullshit.
- 8:02Speaker 3: But when I know I was doing.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Bullshit is such shit.
- 8:04Speaker 2: This is going on the show. This is going on
- 8:08Speaker 2: the show.
- 8:08Speaker 3: This isn't even that fucking interesting. Keezy has two razors.
- 8:11Speaker 2: That is weird.
- 8:12Speaker 1: That is just so.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Nobody does that.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Jase walked outside with slippers on. 100%.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Unnecessary. You expect that, though, don't you?
- 8:18Speaker 3: My oldest one is the down. I go boom, boom, boom,
- 8:22Speaker 3: get the worst of it off, and then use my
- 8:24Speaker 3: newer one. To do the final clean shave. And it
- 8:27Speaker 3: lasts fucking ages that way. My razor heads last ages.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Whatever, man.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Shocking. Come on, man.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Don't yuck my yum.
- 8:34Speaker 2: No. Talk us through your process. Well, my process is
- 8:38Speaker 2: to talk about your process on the radio show. That's
- 8:40Speaker 2: number one. Every time you shave. Number two is I
- 8:44Speaker 2: have a shower. I shave in the shower.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Have you got a mirror in there?
- 8:47Speaker 1: No.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Do it all by feel, Keezy. I know my face
- 8:52Speaker 2: like the back of my hand. So I have my shower.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I might be conditioning my wig. What do you call
- 9:01Speaker 2: it again? My hair hat. So that's sitting on a
- 9:04Speaker 2: post in the corner. And while that's conditioning, I shave. Yeah, right.
- 9:13Speaker 2: And do you do.
- 9:14Speaker 3: The whole head because you're bald, right?
- 9:16Speaker 2: I'm bald, yeah, because that's where I have to have
- 9:18Speaker 2: the glue to stick it down. But, yeah, I do
- 9:20Speaker 2: it in the shower. I love it in the shower.
- 9:21Speaker 2: And so I'll also do that, and then I feel
- 9:24Speaker 2: my face for the roughness, but then I put my
- 9:26Speaker 2: razor in the basin, and I can do any touch-ups
- 9:28Speaker 2: I need to visually after. That's actually a good idea.
- 9:31Speaker 2: But I love being warm in a shower, Keezy. That's
- 9:33Speaker 2: just me. The other thing that I do in the
- 9:34Speaker 2: shower is I will. No, I don't. Now, put your
- 9:39Speaker 2: fingers in the ears of any children that might be
- 9:41Speaker 2: listening because they don't need to know about this. All right? Three, two, one.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I don't rate the climax of a standing man. It's
- 9:53Speaker 2: not as good.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:55Speaker 2: It's never as good.
- 9:56Speaker 3: I don't mind it.
- 9:57Speaker 2: No. Ew. What do you mean?
- 9:59Speaker 4: That's going on the show. Fuck this shit, man. That's
- 10:05Speaker 4: fucking bullshit. But I will, when I'm in the shower
- 10:08Speaker 4: and I'm finishing up, I'll have my back to the water.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Are you shaving again?
- 10:11Speaker 2: Hang on a minute. No, I've finished shaving. That's finished.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And I've got my hair hat back on. I'm all good.
- 10:16Speaker 2: But I dry my... My hair hat, my face, and
- 10:20Speaker 2: down the front of me to my knees while the
- 10:22Speaker 2: water's running on my back. Oh, my God. And then
- 10:25Speaker 2: I turn the shower off and then I dry my
- 10:27Speaker 2: back and I'm done. Are you kidding? No, because it
- 10:29Speaker 2: keeps me warm. If I turn it off, I'm colder
- 10:30Speaker 2: for longer. Fuck, that's weird, eh? I've done that. No,
- 10:33Speaker 2: not as weird as your shit. That's fucking weird.
- 10:35Speaker 1: That's on the show, man. I, like you, Mogi, used
- 10:40Speaker 1: to shave in the shower. I don't know why I
- 10:42Speaker 1: stopped doing that. And it was all by fear because
- 10:44Speaker 1: I didn't have a mirror.
- 10:45Speaker 3: You're doing the bath now, eh?
- 10:45Speaker 1: You're sitting in the bath. Now, I haven't had a
- 10:47Speaker 1: bath in years. In front of my sink there in
- 10:51Speaker 1: the bathroom, I wet my face. With hot water. Then
- 10:57Speaker 1: I soap it up.
- 10:58Speaker 3: With hand soap?
- 11:00Speaker 1: No, with a face soap. And then this is what
- 11:04Speaker 1: I do, which is I guess you'd call it a quirk.
- 11:07Speaker 1: I stick two tampons up my nostrils because I don't
- 11:11Speaker 1: like the water splashing up when I'm shaving.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:15Speaker 1: You know, because you're splashing on it. So I have
- 11:16Speaker 1: two tampons in my nostrils, and then I just shave
- 11:19Speaker 1: like a normal person.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:22Speaker 3: So Mokey's got his hair hat on a stand and
- 11:24Speaker 3: shaving the shave. You've got tampons up your nose, and
- 11:26Speaker 3: I'm still the weird one.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Yeah, totally, man.
- 11:28Speaker 2: You're weird.
- 11:29Speaker 3: And then do you put any aftershave on?
- 11:32Speaker 2: No, I leave it. I leave it. You don't want
- 11:34Speaker 2: to put it on straight away. You want to give
- 11:36Speaker 2: your skin a bit of time to itself.
- 11:40Speaker 1: No, I moisturise after I've shaved.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I leave that as well.
- 11:43Speaker 3: See, I put the old brute shaving balm.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Do you have that?
- 11:47Speaker 3: Onto the hand, yeah.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I bet you fucking do.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Because my granddad used to have it.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Well, you're not going to stick it onto your dick,
- 11:51Speaker 1: are you? Of course you put it in your hand.
- 11:53Speaker 3: I put it in my hand, and then I stick
- 11:54Speaker 3: it on my dick, and then I put some more
- 11:56Speaker 3: in my hand, and then I do the old.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Slap in the face. Can you give me that noise again?
- 12:03Speaker 2: Shock and burst.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Then I put it on the face there, then it
- 12:06Speaker 3: stings a wee bit, and then I moisturise.
- 12:08Speaker 1: No, you've got to moisturise before you apply that. Why?
- 12:12Speaker 3: That takes the sting out. It fucking burns it all.
- 12:15Speaker 1: No, that's what the moisturiser does. The sting is because
- 12:18Speaker 1: your skin's raw. So you put the moisturiser on and
- 12:23Speaker 1: then you put the aftershave on.
- 12:25Speaker 2: What are you rinsing your face with there? You've shaved,
- 12:28Speaker 2: you've got some shaving cream left over. Hot water. So
- 12:31Speaker 2: your hot water there, that's going to open up your pores.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Great.
- 12:34Speaker 2: You see? And then your cold water will close the pores.
- 12:37Speaker 2: So I'd go a moisturizer, Jase.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yes.
- 12:39Speaker 2: For the easier, for the moisturizer to sink in. Then
- 12:43Speaker 2: I'd wash it off with some cold water. And then
- 12:45Speaker 2: I'd put on some Brute 33. Just kidding. I'm not 13. Yeah, right. Okay.
- 12:50Speaker 3: No, Brute is like old man shit, isn't it?
- 12:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it is. Well, it was, but it's probably for
- 12:57Speaker 2: people that think that that's what you get. It's only
- 12:58Speaker 2: about $ 4, isn't it? How have you ended up with
- 13:00Speaker 2: Brute 33? Because my granddad used to wear it.
