- 0:00Speaker 1: Previously on Relatable's Baddi's book Club. Really is worried that
- 0:05Speaker 1: Nina's jealous, and so she's like, I need to make
- 0:09Speaker 1: this better. And so she says to Nina think on
- 0:12Speaker 1: the stairs. She's like, She goes Nina, like, I swear
- 0:19Speaker 1: that nothing was happening, and Nina laughs in her face. Right,
- 0:25Speaker 1: Nina laughs in her face? Ha, do you think my
- 0:29Speaker 1: husband would risk everything he has for? And I quote
- 0:36Speaker 1: she says, you think I'm scared that my husband would
- 0:38Speaker 1: risk everything in his life for some trampy servant living
- 0:43Speaker 1: in the attic. Crazy. Welcome to Relatables Baddi's Book Club,
- 0:50Speaker 1: where we will embark on a journey reading some of
- 0:53Speaker 1: the finest pieces of literature you have ever laid eyes
- 0:55Speaker 1: or is if that's your preferred way to consume a
- 0:57Speaker 1: book on The Housemaid Chapters twenty one to thirty. Oh
- 1:04Speaker 1: my goodness, Ay there's four. Okay, first things first, I
- 1:08Speaker 1: have some thoughts. All shit, Okay, what are we gonna
- 1:11Speaker 1: do first? What's first? You say, what's first? I wanted
- 1:13Speaker 1: to straight up and going to quite a few comments
- 1:14Speaker 1: about we need more chapters, episodes too short? I agree?
- 1:19Speaker 1: Shall we do make a decision right now and how
- 1:22Speaker 1: far we want to go from here? Proposal? Someone just
- 1:26Speaker 1: talking about parts, haven't I've seen one part in here
- 1:28Speaker 1: of you? There's no parts. So we're up to chapter
- 1:31Speaker 1: thirty thirty thirty one? What's thirty one? Yeah, and there's
- 1:34Speaker 1: sixteen eighty. We could do a cheeky little I think
- 1:36Speaker 1: two more parts, two more parts thirty and thirty easy,
- 1:39Speaker 1: I think, okay, I should do It's that old thirty
- 1:42Speaker 1: and thirty if that's all you can before leave, But
- 1:44Speaker 1: I dare say you want to hear some more and
- 1:47Speaker 1: you know what that means. We need to get a
- 1:49Speaker 1: voting system for what we're reading next. Yeah, I agree,
- 1:53Speaker 1: it's even going to be.
- 1:56Speaker 2: We'll do it on the last episode Fourth Wing, Present
- 1:59Speaker 2: City or Throne of Glass.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Yeah, those are the three. I think there's a three
- 2:03Speaker 1: throwing Red Rising, but no, no, I'm reading you've read it. Yeah,
- 2:07Speaker 1: that's it. I will say this Red Rising is of
- 2:14Speaker 1: all the books I've read, which is very not very
- 2:16Speaker 1: much books, is the best. It's actually, dude, get the
- 2:21Speaker 1: fuck out read it. Cassian actually better than one word.
- 2:26Speaker 2: I don't know if we can do this play anymore well,
- 2:28Speaker 2: going off that fantasy.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I like more than a psychological thriller. I was going
- 2:32Speaker 1: to say one word several, but you don't even know
- 2:34Speaker 1: what that means. Some people might know what that means. Yeah, Barrow,
- 2:38Speaker 1: whatever Darrow, I know where Darrow is?
- 2:40Speaker 2: You telemon us anyways, the Housemaid or firstly I want
- 2:47Speaker 2: to talk about I know you shouldn't compare the book
- 2:49Speaker 2: to the movie, but Sidney Sweeney I reckon terrible casting.
- 2:53Speaker 2: The more I'm getting into this book really terrible. Why
- 2:57Speaker 2: I think it's I think it just doesn't the way
- 3:00Speaker 2: it's written, the way Long Island person who's been to
- 3:02Speaker 2: jail is like flirting of all these men and doing doubting.
- 3:08Speaker 3: You know.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah, but what you picture on the head in your
- 3:10Speaker 2: head compared to the movie you're casting of Sidney Sweeney,
- 3:13Speaker 2: not one pit person would have pictured anyone that looks
- 3:16Speaker 2: anything like Sidney Sweeney.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, but what do we think, Like, what do we
- 3:20Speaker 1: want to say? Yeah? Who they cast Fornina is not?
- 3:25Speaker 1: They better fucking cast the good Andrew. We know what
- 3:28Speaker 1: he looks like. I forgot, so he better be going.
- 3:30Speaker 1: He's scruff and Sexyodi. Yeah, but that was annoying me
- 3:34Speaker 1: because the more i'm reading, I'm like, this is not
- 3:36Speaker 1: Sydney Sweeney. After that, all I can picture is Sidney
- 3:39Speaker 1: Sweeney because I saw the trailer before I read the book.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm thinking, like black hair Scrorny gone to jail,
- 3:45Speaker 2: like mal deprived?
- 3:46Speaker 1: Is that? What is nutrition? Yeah? I don't know, like
- 3:50Speaker 1: you got to think about this though she was in
- 3:51Speaker 1: jail for ten years. Andrew Sweeny looks like she just rocked.
- 3:54Speaker 1: But it was low. It was at maximum security.
- 3:57Speaker 2: She was fed, come out of a euro summer like genetics.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Yeah, whatever, And then also the fucking I won't say
- 4:08Speaker 2: yet until we get to it, I won't say it,
- 4:10Speaker 2: but yeah, okay, I don't want to give it. I
- 4:13Speaker 2: don't want to give away the chapters, shall we, even
- 4:16Speaker 2: though everyone else has read them?
- 4:17Speaker 1: But yeah, we shower right. So we left off where
- 4:22Speaker 1: we figured out that the reason Nina went to the
- 4:25Speaker 1: psychiatric hospital was because nine years ago she tried to
- 4:28Speaker 1: kill Ceci and kill herself. Cool. So we go from
- 4:35Speaker 1: there and we get to go have a little geezer
- 4:38Speaker 1: at that big ass box that ends O brought in
- 4:40Speaker 1: that is from someone of the last name of Winchester.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Is still there and really's trying to move it too heavy.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Andrew comes home. He goes, oh my god, look at this.
- 4:47Speaker 1: My mother sent us a box. He opens it up.
- 4:52Speaker 1: He goes, grim in the face. Baby clothes, fucking baby clothes.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Bro bladdy. Nina, she was boasting. But yeah, there was
- 5:01Speaker 1: some bread crumbing right there. Yeah, Nina wouldn't shut up
- 5:04Speaker 1: about having a kid. We're trying, We're trying, We're about
- 5:07Speaker 1: to have one. That's the worst way to do it.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You can't say for when the baby comes and you're
- 5:13Speaker 1: not pregnant. Yeah, especially when you need to go see
- 5:17Speaker 1: a specialist to get pregnant. It's coming, guys. But she's
- 5:20Speaker 1: also she's not all there. She's all there, but she's
- 5:24Speaker 1: like maybe got too much there. Who knows quote quote
- 5:28Speaker 1: Amanda from The Dancer Sitle Cuckoo. Yeah wow. So merely
- 5:33Speaker 1: likes to feel like she's gonna comfort like Andrew and stuff.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Obviously she wants to go over and like and begins
- 5:37Speaker 1: smooch and stuff. She just won't shut the fuck up
- 5:39Speaker 1: about fucking this.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Man.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I know.
- 5:42Speaker 2: It's starting to reveal how much of a red flag.
- 5:47Speaker 1: She is as well. Yeah, yeah, so yeah, there's like
- 5:50Speaker 1: hell attention between her and Andrew. Basically she's gone over.
- 5:52Speaker 1: It's okay, like grais his hands and ship she like
- 5:55Speaker 1: holds his hand and he holds her. Tension, she said,
- 6:00Speaker 1: there's sparks brou can She try and ends it rejected.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Next man, I see my employer. I'm gonna get under
- 6:06Speaker 1: him all right. Now. Next day we got Nina going
- 6:12Speaker 1: to Millie. Oh so like basically right, so, Millie's chilling,
- 6:16Speaker 1: she's doing her thing. Nina's coming in to the kitchen.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Andrew she's coming in home from work and stuff. And
- 6:19Speaker 1: Nina goes, ah, Milli, did you get those tickets for
- 6:22Speaker 1: that show? She goes, yes, I actually did. Oh my god,
- 6:25Speaker 1: I got the last ones. Also got you a night
- 6:29Speaker 1: at the plaza in the suite because it's in the city.
- 6:33Speaker 1: You guys go spend the night, and Cecy's gonna go
- 6:34Speaker 1: stay with a friend of course, and then you're also
- 6:38Speaker 1: like six rows back or some shit from the Broadway shows,
- 6:41Speaker 1: you're gonna be able to touch him. Nina says, awesome,
- 6:44Speaker 1: thank you so much. Now, and Milli's kind of something
- 6:47Speaker 1: says something along the lines of like yeah, Sunday, I
- 6:49Speaker 1: got on for Sunday, and so Nina goes, yes, like
- 6:53Speaker 1: that's so good, when like, I don't know what she says,
- 6:58Speaker 1: but she says, she says this Sunday.
- 7:00Speaker 2: And then she goes, yeah, you said next Sunday from
- 7:04Speaker 2: last Sunday, which is this coming Sunday.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Basically, Millie was right, Nina was wrong.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Yes, and she did that thing where she gas lights
- 7:10Speaker 2: her to think she is wrong because of this reason
- 7:12Speaker 2: she didn't tell.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Her yeah, which she always does makes her feel crazy.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Nina's blown up, saying, well, i can't go this Sunday
- 7:18Speaker 1: because I've got to take Ceci to camp and it's
- 7:20Speaker 1: in Wisconsin, it's a different state, and she's staying the
- 7:23Speaker 1: night then, and so Nina's going, oh, Millly, what have
- 7:28Speaker 1: you done? Really? Oh my god, Oh my god. No,
- 7:30Speaker 1: I'm sure you said the other one, like I got
- 7:33Speaker 1: non refundable tickets, Nina, all my days, Nina, let's lose.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Oh my fucking god, Mellly, this is coming out of
- 7:44Speaker 1: your paycheck, bitch, fucking she's a baller. I was like,
- 7:50Speaker 1: what the fuck what. Millie's obviously nearly in tears, and
- 7:57Speaker 1: then of course Andrew comes in to save the day,
- 7:59Speaker 1: and he goes, oh, look, it's like Nina, it's fine,
- 8:03Speaker 1: I'll call the credit card company. I'm sure we can
- 8:05Speaker 1: get a refund, all right, and then she goes, fine,
- 8:09Speaker 1: but Millie, if we can't get that refund, I expect
- 8:12Speaker 1: you to pay for this Czy.
- 8:14Speaker 3: What the fuck?
- 8:14Speaker 1: Bro? What the fuck? So okay, come Sunday, Ceci's heading
- 8:23Speaker 1: off to camp. Really's cheering, she hates Ceci. Nina's taken
- 8:27Speaker 1: her and then no, I would to pause on she said,
- 8:31Speaker 1: she got the house to herself.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and then she goes, I can walk around naked
- 8:35Speaker 2: if I wanted to.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Yeah, this is weird, and she's I won't, but I could. Yeah.
- 8:40Speaker 1: That's a weird bit of bread, weird thing.
- 8:42Speaker 3: The thing.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Yeah, what a weird thing in someone else's house. It's
- 8:46Speaker 1: not what I would think. So Andrew comes down, looking
- 8:51Speaker 1: sexy as ever in his weekend clothes Jean's and a shirt.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Let's go, and he's also apparently got the refund for
- 8:57Speaker 1: the tickets, so happy days. Apparently. Now Andrew's going to
- 9:05Speaker 1: take his bags out of the car, and then Nina's like, oh, Andrew,
- 9:09Speaker 1: you are you sure you can't come with us? And
- 9:10Speaker 1: he goes, oh, I'd love to, but I've got I've
- 9:12Speaker 1: got to work tomorrow. I can't miss it. I've got
- 9:14Speaker 1: all these meetings, Nina, you always put work before us.
- 9:20Speaker 1: And he's all like, oh, I'm sorry, dear, I'm sorry. Apparently,
- 9:23Speaker 1: according to Millie, he doesn't, you know. He goes to
- 9:26Speaker 1: the recitals, he goes to the graduations, he goes to everything.
- 9:29Speaker 1: He takes days off work for things.
- 9:31Speaker 3: So Nina's just been a bitch bro through and through,
- 9:35Speaker 3: Nina leaves, Andrew's like, you know, I gotta I gotta
- 9:42Speaker 3: confess something.
- 9:45Speaker 1: And that thing is I actually couldn't get a refund
- 9:50Speaker 1: on the tickets, and Millie it would be a shame
- 9:54Speaker 1: of them for them to go to waste. I want
- 9:55Speaker 1: you to have them and take a friend. I was like,
- 9:58Speaker 1: I couldn't, so oh really, ah, you know what, I'll pass.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I think that's a good idea. He goes, Oh, you've
- 10:06Speaker 1: got to come on, like, have you ever been to
- 10:08Speaker 1: a Broadway show? Like y? She goes, actually, I've never
- 10:13Speaker 1: been to a Broadway show. And he's like, oh my god,
- 10:17Speaker 1: that's terrible. That's terrible. She goes, oh, and secondly, I
- 10:22Speaker 1: don't actually have anyone to go with any friends. I
- 10:24Speaker 1: don't have anyone, and so he goes, blasphemy, I'll go
- 10:29Speaker 1: with you.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Right then, and there mine knew they were going to
- 10:35Speaker 2: make love.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Fucking hell. Bro. I was like, you're kidding. She goes,
- 10:40Speaker 1: oh no, no, no, no, Nina wouldn't like that. He goes, look,
- 10:42Speaker 1: I know she gets a bit jealous every now and then, right,
- 10:45Speaker 1: and I know she's a little bit mean to you,
- 10:48Speaker 1: but she would want you to go or something like that.
- 10:52Speaker 1: He's like, but who but she'll never find out, that's right. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:58Speaker 1: yeah no. He's like, look, I know she gets less,
- 11:00Speaker 1: but she won't know. And you need to go to
- 11:03Speaker 1: a roadway show once in your life. Was this the part?
- 11:05Speaker 2: I think it was within this conversation how she was
- 11:09Speaker 2: talking about Nina and he said in the past tense
- 11:14Speaker 2: loved instead of I love.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I think it was around here, it was before it
- 11:19Speaker 1: was before they went. I think that might have been
- 11:21Speaker 1: when he was opening his box.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah that was my mum and he said I loved
- 11:25Speaker 2: and he looked all red and he goes, I mean love.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, she says something and then he goes, oh,
- 11:30Speaker 1: you know, like I back in like, oh yeah, he goes, yeah,
- 11:33Speaker 1: like we would have had kids earlier, but Nina was
- 11:37Speaker 1: sick or something, right, and that's obviously when she tried
- 11:40Speaker 1: to kill Celia, and so we we thought we would wait.
- 11:43Speaker 1: And also I actually think is right?
- 11:47Speaker 3: Is right?
- 11:47Speaker 1: Then when they spoke about how he's like, I don't
- 11:50Speaker 1: actually know what's gone wrong with Like he starting to
- 11:52Speaker 1: open up. He's like, I don't know what's gone wrong
- 11:53Speaker 1: with my marriage, Like you know Nina used to be.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Was this at the dinner table. Ah, maybe maybe he's
- 12:01Speaker 1: getting a bit into twine. Yeah, it's getting into time,
- 12:03Speaker 1: same stuff, but the same thing if it's smell. Basically,
- 12:05Speaker 1: he says I loved Nina, and then he goes, I
- 12:09Speaker 1: love Nina. Millie's like, I couldn't hear that. I see
- 12:13Speaker 1: the cracks and I will dive in. I will wedge
- 12:16Speaker 1: them up first. So they go get dressed, come back
- 12:23Speaker 1: down to the car. Andrew's looking sexy in a suit.
- 12:25Speaker 1: She walks down the stairs, Andrew breath taken away. Oh my, Millie,
- 12:30Speaker 1: you look beautiful. She's wearing one of the dresses Nina
- 12:32Speaker 1: gave her. Fits her amazingly perfectly fitted to her body.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Cocktail dress goes down to just above the knees. She thought,
- 12:38Speaker 1: that's all right. I covered myself up. I don't try
- 12:40Speaker 1: to be sexy for him. We're going to a show.
- 12:42Speaker 1: He's my boss, he's married, and he's he can't believe it.
- 12:45Speaker 1: He can't believe it. They get in the car, right, Beama,
- 12:49Speaker 1: BMW sexy. So they're in the BMW, they're about to leave,
- 12:56Speaker 1: and they're driving, and she realizes when she sits down
- 13:00Speaker 1: that once she sits down, the dress rides up and
- 13:02Speaker 1: you can see her her upper thighs, and so she's like, fuck,
- 13:05Speaker 1: She's like, I'm trying to get it down. Andrew's driving,
- 13:08Speaker 1: concentrated on the road, not looking at her thighs. He
- 13:10Speaker 1: stops at the red light and he can see she
- 13:13Speaker 1: can see him taking a little peek at the thighs,
- 13:16Speaker 1: and she looks up. She goes like this, and he
- 13:18Speaker 1: goes right, he goes, oh, not so nonchalant. Oh my god,
- 13:26Speaker 1: it's fucking crazy. So the show is obviously amazing. Yeah,
- 13:32Speaker 1: there's six rows in. She's just like daydreaming about the
- 13:37Speaker 1: fact that this could like her light, this could be
- 13:39Speaker 1: her life. Like she's daydreaming about the fact that you know,
- 13:43Speaker 1: she's like, I'm not an ex convict. I'm just I'm
- 13:45Speaker 1: just his girlfriend that he's taking to a show for
- 13:47Speaker 1: the night. Yeah, people won't notice. I don't have the
- 13:49Speaker 1: ring on that he does. Oh man. So they watch
- 13:55Speaker 1: the show. It's absolutely amazing. He gets up and he's like,
- 13:59Speaker 1: you know, I think that might be the stretch that
- 14:01Speaker 1: they've talked about in a couple of episodes ago episodes.
- 14:04Speaker 1: How about some dinner. Do you like French food? I
- 14:10Speaker 1: like French fries, he goes. She goes, I like their fries.
- 14:14Speaker 1: He says, ha ha, joke. Stuff. I know a great
- 14:18Speaker 1: French place a couple blocks away. Let's go. So they
- 14:21Speaker 1: head over to the French place. She takes a quick
- 14:24Speaker 1: look at the menu on the outside of the door.
- 14:25Speaker 1: She thinks, holy, He goes my shout of course. Ship
- 14:28Speaker 1: couldn't afford that. Ship better be oh my? All right,
- 14:33Speaker 1: what happens next? The menu is.
- 14:35Speaker 2: In French, so she goes, I can't read it or something,
- 14:40Speaker 2: and he goes.
- 14:42Speaker 1: We we yeah, yeah, yeah. She goes, can you read this?
- 14:44Speaker 1: He goes, we do you know French? He goes, we, Mademoiselle,
- 14:49Speaker 1: c come stay. I think that might have been Spanish,
- 14:55Speaker 1: but would you like it? Would you like me to
- 14:58Speaker 1: read it? Do you? Yeah? He's like, actually, you know
- 15:01Speaker 1: I know another language from studying abroad. How about you?
- 15:04Speaker 3: You know?
- 15:04Speaker 1: Did you do you know another language? She goes, i'muky
- 15:07Speaker 1: to know English. He's like, Melli, you should not talk
- 15:10Speaker 1: badly about yourself. You're a beautiful, smart woman. And I
- 15:13Speaker 1: was like, dude, put your dick away. Kind of subtle,
- 15:16Speaker 1: but away kind of subtle. He's like, do you want
- 15:19Speaker 1: to read it to you in English? She goes, honestly,
- 15:22Speaker 1: how about you just to order something? You think I'd like,
- 15:24Speaker 1: she knows what she's doing. That's hot. Oh my days.
- 15:28Speaker 1: All right, and then I'm pretty sure this happened at
- 15:29Speaker 1: the show, but I'm going to say it happened at
- 15:31Speaker 1: the restaurant. She gets a text message from Nina don't
- 15:34Speaker 1: forget to put the trash out. Oh yeah, yeah yeah, Millie.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Oh shit, Andrew, we've got to put the trash out.
- 15:40Speaker 1: And he's like, it's okay, it's okay, it'll be fine
- 15:42Speaker 1: if you find out. Worry about it. Right now, we're
- 15:44Speaker 1: at the restaurant. Sorry. Back to the restaurant. They've got
- 15:48Speaker 1: wine coming, expensive, yummy wine. They take a sip. Oh
- 15:52Speaker 1: my day. She goes, this is way better than the
- 15:53Speaker 1: five dollar wine I get from the bottle shrop down
- 15:55Speaker 1: the road. They order, and then he gets a phone call.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Oh shit, it's Nina. I better get this on the phone.
- 16:07Speaker 1: She's just yelling at him. She's screaming at him. He's like, Nina,
- 16:12Speaker 1: I can't talk you about this right now, hangs up.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I was like, ship, I'm going to date by.
- 16:16Speaker 4: The Yeah, we had a fuck out, mate, and so
- 16:24Speaker 4: we're not even subtly bread crumbing this apologies bad and.
- 16:28Speaker 1: So I don't think the book was subtle at all.
- 16:31Speaker 1: So he hangs up, and he goes like, man, I
- 16:33Speaker 1: just this is when he's like, I don't know what
- 16:36Speaker 1: happened in my marriage. Like he you know when I
- 16:41Speaker 1: first met Nina, Like she was a single mom working
- 16:44Speaker 1: two jobs, trying to provide driven beautiful and yeah, now
- 16:50Speaker 1: she you know, every other every other conversation we have,
- 16:55Speaker 1: she's just yelling at me. Millie goes, that's about sums
- 16:59Speaker 1: up relationship with her too. He says, at least we
- 17:03Speaker 1: got that in common. We also haven't come on the
- 17:06Speaker 1: fact we want to flop. Just kidding. So then Millie's
- 17:09Speaker 1: obviously like, you know, I'm sorry you guys. Yeah, he says,
- 17:15Speaker 1: I was actually engaged before before Nina. Because Millie asks,
- 17:23Speaker 1: she says, well what is he Yeah, like Nina now
- 17:29Speaker 1: shows no interest, so she's like kind of spoiled. She
- 17:30Speaker 1: shows no interest in like getting a job or anything
- 17:32Speaker 1: like that.
- 17:33Speaker 2: He phrased it funny in a sense of Nina stole
- 17:38Speaker 2: his past relationship of.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Him or something something in that in that way, and
- 17:41Speaker 1: she spoils Ceci and and he goes and so Millie goes, oh,
- 17:47Speaker 1: well she you know, the house is beautiful. You know
- 17:49Speaker 1: that's got to be Nina. And he goes, actually, no,
- 17:51Speaker 1: that was That's all mine. He like says in a
- 17:54Speaker 1: way where like no, the house is mine, like it's
- 17:56Speaker 1: not Nina's. And there wasn't mentioned earlier in the book
- 17:58Speaker 1: about an anti prenup that needs signed, and there there
- 18:01Speaker 1: was these bitches being like accomplished she signed that. And
- 18:04Speaker 1: so he goes, yeah, I was actually engaged before Nina,
- 18:08Speaker 1: and I have a feeling he's obviously cheated on the
- 18:10Speaker 1: last girl with Nina now in the background too, he's
- 18:14Speaker 1: pouring a lot of wine in the background, so he
- 18:16Speaker 1: gets yelled out by Nina down the glass. Pause it
- 18:19Speaker 1: all these conversations drinking, drinking. Now, after they stopped talking
- 18:26Speaker 1: about Nina, they go into other eyess. She says, it
- 18:28Speaker 1: was great dinner. We just drink wine and stuff. Dinner's over,
- 18:34Speaker 1: two bottles of wine deep. They get up and Andrew's
- 18:37Speaker 1: like whoa. He's stumbling. He's like, shit, I can not
- 18:41Speaker 1: drive home. Millie goes. Millie's drunk as well. She goes,
- 18:45Speaker 1: fuck you guys. We we still have that plaza. That's crazy,
- 18:49Speaker 1: we still have that plaza, you know. And I was
- 18:54Speaker 1: like what. So she goes, ah, it's a bad idea.
- 18:59Speaker 1: She even mentions like he could just get us a
- 19:01Speaker 1: taxi home. He can afford it. But he's not even
- 19:04Speaker 1: thinking about it. So he goes. She's like this, there's
- 19:09Speaker 1: not a good idea. Right. He goes, and there's two
- 19:13Speaker 1: beds in there. It's the suite, you know, there's two beds.
- 19:16Speaker 1: I'll be a perfect gentleman. I'll be the perfect gentleman.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Don't you trust me? That's why he says, don't you
- 19:22Speaker 1: trust me? And I was like, whoa manipulation, whoa, even
- 19:28Speaker 1: though she was dying for it. So they get in
- 19:31Speaker 1: the car and she goes, two beds, you know. He's
- 19:34Speaker 1: like yeah, yeah, yeah, and he's a bit drunk. Her
- 19:37Speaker 1: dress rides up again and he looks down at it,
- 19:40Speaker 1: and she's like looking at him, and he's like what.
- 19:42Speaker 1: She goes, you're looking at my legs. He goes, they're
- 19:44Speaker 1: beautiful legs. Fucking hell. It's like you can't resist. Oh no,
- 19:51Speaker 1: one could resist. Fuck me. You guys like you're a
- 19:54Speaker 1: beautiful woman, Millily, Like, if I haven't already told you tonight,
- 19:57Speaker 1: you look beautiful and stuff like that. She's like, two beds,
- 20:00Speaker 1: two beds. He goes, yeah, yeah, and then the car swerves.
- 20:06Speaker 1: She launches on him because she hasn't put a seatbelt on,
- 20:09Speaker 1: and then their cheeks graze and he's like under his breath, Millie,
- 20:14Speaker 1: and then they just start making out. Oh what bro
- 20:18Speaker 1: saw it coming? But and she kisses him back, Yes
- 20:21Speaker 1: she did. It's been ten years, now years, it's been
- 20:26Speaker 1: ten years, and Andrew, oh my god. Now the only
- 20:33Speaker 1: time they stopped kissing was and he had to check
- 20:35Speaker 1: them into the fucking plaza. All right, they go upstairs,
- 20:40Speaker 1: they make sweet sweet love all night. This pissed me off.
- 20:45Speaker 1: But where was the descriptive language. How big is it?
- 20:48Speaker 1: How long did he last? How many times did she come?
- 20:51Speaker 1: How wet was she? How what was his moaning? Like?
- 20:54Speaker 1: Where was this? It's been ten years. I want to
- 20:56Speaker 1: know how it feels the first time. Like, if you're
- 20:58Speaker 1: gonna put sex in her book, give us what we want? Yeah,
- 21:02Speaker 1: I was like was there a page missing? I was like,
- 21:05Speaker 1: what happened? And then it was just like we woke
- 21:06Speaker 1: up in the morning and I was like, no, you didn't. Yeah.
- 21:10Speaker 1: She goes so in short, I had sex with my
- 21:13Speaker 1: boss and I was like, cool, where's the details, where's
- 21:17Speaker 1: the long version? Fuck meh fu? Yeah. So she wakes
- 21:26Speaker 1: up right in a queen bed. I was like the Plaza,
- 21:30Speaker 1: the sweet at the Plaza queen bed with this Max
- 21:32Speaker 1: super king ship. Anyway, he's laying there, she's laying there.
- 21:40Speaker 1: He rolls over, wakes up, She's awake. She's like, I
- 21:45Speaker 1: wonder if he wants to go again. No, no, no, no, no,
- 21:49Speaker 1: he won't want to You can't. We can't do this again.
- 21:51Speaker 1: It can never happened. A this can never happen. So
- 21:58Speaker 1: then he wakes up and he's like really, goes to
- 22:00Speaker 1: get up he's well, got a hangover my days and
- 22:05Speaker 1: then he's like, are we good? He goes, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 22:07Speaker 1: we're good. He goes, you won't tell Nina, will you.
- 22:09Speaker 1: She's like no, lips sealed, and then she goes to
- 22:13Speaker 1: get up, and he's like thank you and stuff, and
- 22:16Speaker 1: then he says, hey, merely, I'm not sorry for it.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I'm not sorry for any of it. And she's like,
- 22:25Speaker 1: oh yeah, Minita and blah blah blah. And I think
- 22:29Speaker 1: he also says like, but we can never do this again.
- 22:37Speaker 1: And it is also this the same time where he
- 22:39Speaker 1: says like, you know, I wish that if this was
- 22:45Speaker 1: basically he says like, I wish it was you basically.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I think that now there, Yeah, there was reminiscence of Nina. Yeah,
- 22:52Speaker 1: in million a sense, the hustle of the ground.
- 22:55Speaker 2: She works hard, she's ambitious, yeah, trying to make her
- 22:58Speaker 2: life better.
- 22:58Speaker 1: He wishes he met her way back. When that's what
- 23:00Speaker 1: he says, he says like, I wish I met you
- 23:02Speaker 1: with leend me gasline to me, fucking oath bro Semi.
- 23:05Speaker 1: This is textbook manipulation, holy rock hard manipulation, which you say,
- 23:11Speaker 1: fucking oh. So they drive home same clothes they wore.
- 23:15Speaker 1: He's got a head back into the city. Straight after
- 23:17Speaker 1: he gets home, she realizes we didn't take the trash out.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Then thens He's like, whatever, it's just a bed. He's like,
- 23:27Speaker 1: are we gonna make it in time? She goes, no, no, no,
- 23:29Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure we missed it. He guys, let me
- 23:32Speaker 1: deal with it. They pull in. Enzo's there, right, this
- 23:37Speaker 1: is this is sus bro. This is a little bit
- 23:39Speaker 1: of sus bread crumb and shit. Right. So Enzo's there
- 23:43Speaker 1: and he goes, oh, look, Enzo's here. Enzo sees million
- 23:45Speaker 1: in the car, shakes his head like you fucking clown.
- 23:51Speaker 1: He goes, oh, let me just ask Nzoe if he
- 23:53Speaker 1: can deal with the trash. So he goes over at Enzo.
- 23:56Speaker 1: He's like, Chozo says these things. You guys, mate, we
- 24:01Speaker 1: forgot to take the trash out. Can you take it
- 24:03Speaker 1: in your truck to the dump? And then says like
- 24:06Speaker 1: what He's like, truck rubbish dump, I'll give you fifty.
- 24:12Speaker 1: And I was like, damn, he, I'll give you a hundred.
- 24:15Speaker 1: And then I was like damn, He's like, Enzo, truck
- 24:19Speaker 1: rubbish dump, I'll give you two hundred. And so takes it.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Greedy motherucker. Greedy motherfucker takes the rubbish, puts in the
- 24:28Speaker 1: back of his truck, drives off. All right, Andrew gets
- 24:32Speaker 1: back in the car to drive the kind of the garage.
- 24:33Speaker 1: He goes, oh, fuck, what is it with that guy?
- 24:35Speaker 1: Such a dick? And he's like, and Millie's like, I
- 24:39Speaker 1: just don't think he understands this. When he goes, no,
- 24:40Speaker 1: he trust me, he knows what I'm saying. He was
- 24:43Speaker 1: just trying to get as much as he could out
- 24:44Speaker 1: of me. And he goes, I always I told Nina
- 24:49Speaker 1: to get rid of him, but she just keeps on
- 24:50Speaker 1: saying that everyone else in the neighborhood has him, and
- 24:52Speaker 1: he's the best at what he does. I'm telling you
- 24:54Speaker 1: he's day. He is fucking giving Nina backshots. I'm telling
- 25:01Speaker 1: you true. All right. So Millie's like a weird and
- 25:07Speaker 1: he's like, yeah, I don't know why, Like I just
- 25:10Speaker 1: find him, suss. He's in everyone else's yard on another
- 25:13Speaker 1: day of a week, he spends one third of his
- 25:14Speaker 1: time in our yard, you know. And he's like, and
- 25:18Speaker 1: Millie goes, well, I mean, you guys do have the
- 25:20Speaker 1: biggest house, you know, on the block, the biggest yard,
- 25:22Speaker 1: like spends the most time on. And he's like, yeah, yeah,
- 25:25Speaker 1: I guess whatever. Andrew goes to work. Milli goes about
- 25:28Speaker 1: our day. Nini gets home about two pm. She has
- 25:33Speaker 1: been shopping. She says to Milike, you take these upstairs.
- 25:36Speaker 1: They're a bit heavy. It sits down on the lounge.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Milli goes to take her bags upstairs. She goes, Owen, Millie,
- 25:42Speaker 1: I called the home phone last night at eleven and
- 25:46Speaker 1: no one answered. You should be answering the phone. It's
- 25:51Speaker 1: one of your duties. That's one of your duties. Yeah,
- 25:55Speaker 1: and Milly goes, I think I was asleep. I'm sorry,
- 25:59Speaker 1: and I can't hear it all up in the attics,
- 26:00Speaker 1: so good save. She goes, yeah, but neither did andrews
- 26:04Speaker 1: he didn't answer it either. She goes, well, ah, I
- 26:08Speaker 1: don't know what he was doing. I was asleep, Like
- 26:10Speaker 1: I said, I was asleep. I don't know where he
- 26:12Speaker 1: might have gone out out Where would he go with?
- 26:14Speaker 3: Who?
- 26:15Speaker 1: Really's? Like?
- 26:16Speaker 3: Fuck?
- 26:16Speaker 1: Did I know I was asleep? Nina Fair? She texts
- 26:21Speaker 1: Andrew after she goes upstairs. Nina asked her, but Nina
- 26:25Speaker 1: called the house last night by the way, She's like,
- 26:27Speaker 1: he'll know what to do. He always knows what to do.
- 26:29Speaker 1: I was like, oh, we God, get off his dick.
- 26:30Speaker 1: He shouldn't she shouldn't have tasted him.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Fu.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Nona's definitely tracking that shit. Oh bro, I reckon. Nina's
- 26:36Speaker 1: got cameras in the house and everything. Yeah, fucking hell,
- 26:39Speaker 1: terrifying by the way, Nina scares me. Yeah, all right, now,
- 26:44Speaker 1: it's been about a week Ceci's gone. The house is
- 26:47Speaker 1: beautifully quiet, even though she's an eerie little child. But
- 26:51Speaker 1: so she can't help but notice that Andrew and Nina
- 26:54Speaker 1: have been a little stand offish to each other. They
- 26:56Speaker 1: just don't really talk much. And yeah, yeah, yeah. She
- 27:00Speaker 1: she's cooking dinner. She wants to get it on the
- 27:01Speaker 1: table before they come in, and so she can just
- 27:03Speaker 1: get out of there, get her out of the awkwardness.
- 27:06Speaker 1: So she goes put the food on the table, and
- 27:12Speaker 1: she's taking a water glass, bumps into Andrew drops the
- 27:15Speaker 1: glass shatters everywhere. All right. He goes, let me help
- 27:19Speaker 1: you with that. She goes, no, no, no, He's like,
- 27:20Speaker 1: you let me help you. They're cleaning up. Nina comes in.
- 27:23Speaker 1: What's going on here? MILLI? I dropped glass, Millie, please
- 27:25Speaker 1: be more careful. It's like whatever food on table, right,
- 27:31Speaker 1: and then Nina says, thank you so much. Millie. What
- 27:38Speaker 1: was food like in prison? Crazy and merely like what
- 27:45Speaker 1: Andrew's looking at her in fucking like shock prison? She
- 27:49Speaker 1: goes it was okay. I guess it's like, well, keep
- 27:54Speaker 1: doing what you're doing because this is great. We don't
- 27:55Speaker 1: want of that prison food, all right. I was like, fuck, bro,
- 27:59Speaker 1: girl knows what she's doing. And then and then Millie leaves.
- 28:03Speaker 1: She goes on, Millie, before we leave, you've got some pepper.
- 28:06Speaker 1: She goes back in the kitchen, text out of the table,
- 28:09Speaker 1: puts like she like slams it like down, and Nina's like,
- 28:14Speaker 1: thank you. Nina's apparently got like caked up eyeliner, smudged lipstick.
- 28:20Speaker 1: She looks like a demon, looks demonic, Milli. Millie's like pleasure.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Nina goes. So Milli goes upstairs. She's about to cry.
- 28:30Speaker 1: She's laying in her bed until something catches her eye. Millie.
- 28:36Speaker 1: On her bedside table is the playbill from the Broadway show,
- 28:40Speaker 1: which is like what's happening that night? As if you
- 28:42Speaker 1: would keep the menu, So she goes, and I kept
- 28:45Speaker 1: it in my wallet so I could remember the night
- 28:47Speaker 1: because of how good it was. She goes, But I
- 28:50Speaker 1: left it in my wallet. I haven't touched it since,
- 28:53Speaker 1: so no one could find it. And it's on my
- 28:55Speaker 1: bedside table, she goes, No one's been in here, but
- 29:01Speaker 1: I'm the only one with the key. But that Nina.
- 29:05Speaker 1: And then the way it ends is, oh, my days,
- 29:09Speaker 1: I just made a dangerous, dangerous enemy.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Well, oh boy, that is a cliffhanger and a huh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 29:20Speaker 2: honestly very entertained.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Yeah. I did see a lot of comments that said predictable,
- 29:27Speaker 1: and to her sense, it is have we predicted these things?
- 29:31Speaker 1: I actually didn't know if she was going to have
- 29:32Speaker 1: sex with Andrew. You told me no. I thought yes initially,
- 29:36Speaker 1: but obviously they did. Obviously they did. All right, tell
- 29:40Speaker 1: me what you're thinking, Oddie? What am I thinking?
- 29:42Speaker 2: I am thinking? So, I actually don't think Nina knows.
- 29:49Speaker 2: I think something else has happened there and it's going
- 29:52Speaker 2: to explain it. And I think what's going to happen
- 29:53Speaker 2: is Millie's going to make a mistake and slip again
- 29:56Speaker 2: with Andrew, and that's how they find out because of
- 29:58Speaker 2: whatever just happened.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Now, wait, one more thing to add. While Million Andrew
- 30:05Speaker 1: were cleaning up the glass, he's trying to say something
- 30:07Speaker 1: to it. That's when Nina comes in, so they obviously
- 30:09Speaker 1: can't say it. And then he goes to like go
- 30:11Speaker 1: over near her, near the broom cabinet, and he like
- 30:15Speaker 1: goes up real questomer. He's like, we need to talk later,
- 30:18Speaker 1: and then Nina brings up the prison thing, and so
- 30:21Speaker 1: she was like, I wonder what Andrew wanted to talk
- 30:23Speaker 1: to me about. So now remember that so Andrew wanted
- 30:26Speaker 1: to talk to Milly about something.
- 30:28Speaker 2: I actually think this is a hard curve ball and
- 30:30Speaker 2: very scary, but I think it's fitting for the book.
- 30:33Speaker 1: You know how.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Millie keeps forgetting things, and it's alluded that it's Nina's fault.
- 30:41Speaker 2: I think they're drugging Milli or Nina's drugging Million a sense,
- 30:45Speaker 2: or doing something to make her forget her memory, and
- 30:47Speaker 2: these things are actually happening, but she's actually just forgetting.
- 30:52Speaker 1: And she actually is doing these things because that one,
- 30:56Speaker 1: I think.
- 30:57Speaker 2: And then what's going to happen is she thinks Nina knows,
- 31:00Speaker 2: but she actually doesn't, and she's gonna stuff up with Andrew.
- 31:02Speaker 1: And Andrew or her is gonna tell Nina in a
- 31:06Speaker 1: sense in a way. So do we think Nina's crazy though?
- 31:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah, she's drugging fucking Millie or she's doing something
- 31:13Speaker 2: to her to make her forget her memory. And I reckon,
- 31:14Speaker 2: these things are happening, and she's actually just forgetting something
- 31:20Speaker 2: like that, because I don't think she knows.
- 31:22Speaker 1: I think because she's the type to me if she knew,
- 31:25Speaker 1: she would be like, get the fuck out of my
- 31:27Speaker 1: house or should stab her right there? And I don't know.
- 31:29Speaker 1: I think that she's like crazy enough to play the
- 31:31Speaker 1: long game, you reckon? Yeah, so what do you reckon? Look?
- 31:38Speaker 1: I was like, why did why'd they fuck? Like? Yeah,
- 31:42Speaker 1: it's a terrible decision, don't she? Were? You weak? Guys?
- 31:46Speaker 1: That's my motto, right, So hmmm, I am going to
- 31:56Speaker 1: say I'm happy with the book. I think that what
- 31:58Speaker 1: we've just experienced is one twist and turn of many
- 32:01Speaker 1: to come in the next thirty chapters. I think it's
- 32:03Speaker 1: going to be crazy. I want to make a prediction
- 32:06Speaker 1: on who do we think the overall villain is? Or
- 32:13Speaker 1: I also think Andrew is probably a past alcoholic and
- 32:17Speaker 1: he's done some bad things. So yeah, I think that
- 32:22Speaker 1: Andrew has got a side to him that we have
- 32:29Speaker 1: not seen, and no one has seen, because I think
- 32:33Speaker 1: that there's a reason he's staying with Nina that we
- 32:40Speaker 1: don't know, but I have a feeling it's because of
- 32:43Speaker 1: some sort of control that he has over her, because
- 32:48Speaker 1: she tried to kill her kid and he wants to
- 32:51Speaker 1: have a kid with her, Like who in their right
- 32:54Speaker 1: mind would do that? I agreed. I genuinely think that
- 33:02Speaker 1: that Andrew is potentially the villain in this.
- 33:05Speaker 2: I think they're as bad as each other. I think,
- 33:08Speaker 2: what do we think is going to happen with Enzo?
- 33:09Speaker 2: But I think everyone's going to die except for Enzo
- 33:12Speaker 2: and Milly.
- 33:13Speaker 1: I think that so Enzo plays a bigger part in
- 33:18Speaker 1: this somehow, and I hope that it's that he is
- 33:22Speaker 1: Nina's baby daddy, Cee's dad.
- 33:24Speaker 2: I think he's going to save merely at one point,
- 33:26Speaker 2: and there's there's going to be a point where Millie
- 33:28Speaker 2: gets locked in the attic, of course, like it's going
- 33:31Speaker 2: to happen sooner or later.
- 33:32Speaker 1: I think that what's going to happen is she's going
- 33:36Speaker 1: to get in a big fight with Nina and say
- 33:40Speaker 1: she quits, and Nina's going to say you don't get
- 33:43Speaker 1: to leave to you fired or something crazy shit like that.
- 33:46Speaker 1: So then Millie's like, I'm going to get back my
- 33:48Speaker 1: things locked in, locked in? Yeah, I agreed. Now I
- 33:53Speaker 1: I think that I did I have Oh yeah, I
- 33:58Speaker 1: think that what's actually how happened here is I think
- 34:04Speaker 1: that the last time they had a maide, Andrew slept
- 34:11Speaker 1: with that one too.
- 34:12Speaker 3: Oh.
- 34:13Speaker 1: And I think that Nina is obviously crazy and she
- 34:21Speaker 1: got another young, pretty living maid just like just because
- 34:27Speaker 1: like she can, and she wants to, like, I don't know,
- 34:32Speaker 1: do you reckon?
- 34:33Speaker 2: Out of spite, she hired Millie knowing her background to
- 34:37Speaker 2: go to Andrew.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Hahuh, you just slept with a convict. Yeah, you just
- 34:43Speaker 1: slept someone that slept with someone that murdered someone. Yeah.
- 34:46Speaker 1: All you like is murderers. Oh he has a type. Yeah,
- 34:52Speaker 1: she's trying to She's trying to get one up on
- 34:57Speaker 1: Andrew because it's prenup shall agreement.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Agreed, and probably Andrew for his business for some reason,
- 35:04Speaker 2: can't have this find out. Maybe that's why he's staying.
- 35:07Speaker 2: So he slept with the last maid his business. Can't
- 35:09Speaker 2: find out that he's sleeping with maids, he'll ruin his reputation.
- 35:12Speaker 2: So he's just doing it again because he knows he's
- 35:13Speaker 2: stuck anyway. Yeah, and he's like, I just want to
- 35:16Speaker 2: fuck Yeah, I just want to fuck.
- 35:19Speaker 1: You.
- 35:19Speaker 2: I do think that he's a bad guy at the end, though,
- 35:21Speaker 2: when they have when they slept together, I was thinking,
- 35:24Speaker 2: do you reckon Millie gets pregnant, but there was no
- 35:29Speaker 2: bread coming there.
- 35:31Speaker 1: But I was thinking that initially because he wants a kid,
- 35:34Speaker 1: she wants to be his wife, and then is that
- 35:39Speaker 1: how Nina finds out? That would be crazy? Bro Oh.
- 35:46Speaker 1: I like, I'm not gonna like I get scared to
- 35:48Speaker 1: read this book. It is a little bit scary. It's
- 35:50Speaker 1: one of those ones you don't want to read when
- 35:51Speaker 1: it's dark. I just like, I just don't know what's
- 35:55Speaker 1: gonna happen, honestly, honestly. So chapters, Yeah, we'll do. So
- 36:02Speaker 1: there's sixty chapters, so we'll go to wait, we say thirty,
- 36:08Speaker 1: so we need to read if we want to do
- 36:09Speaker 1: it in two more parts on your fifteen fifteen? Yeah, yeah,
- 36:12Speaker 1: should we do fifteen fifteen or should we do thirty
- 36:15Speaker 1: straight up. We could probably just finish it, to be honest,
- 36:17Speaker 1: So that means we need to fucking figure out what
- 36:19Speaker 1: we're reading next.
- 36:20Speaker 2: It could be in this episode. Well that was only
- 36:22Speaker 2: half an hour. So if we do double yeah, do
- 36:24Speaker 2: we want to put a pole? What's coming out? Yeah,
- 36:26Speaker 2: we'll put a pole on Patreon gets two votes and
- 36:31Speaker 2: Patron gets two votes, so everyone, I'll put a pole
- 36:33Speaker 2: on Patreon and for everyone on Patreon their vote counters.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Too, oh okay, and then on I don't know if
- 36:40Speaker 1: I'll put it in the Batties Instagram channel as well.
- 36:45Speaker 1: That's one better. So they're the two options. So if
- 36:46Speaker 1: you're in the Baddies Instagram channel, yeah, we're going to
- 36:49Speaker 1: put in a poll for either Throne of Glass, Fourth
- 36:53Speaker 1: Wing or Crescent City. We're going to do the same
- 36:56Speaker 1: thing in Patreon. We'll tally all the votes. If you
- 37:00Speaker 1: vote in the about his book Club channel on Instagram,
- 37:04Speaker 1: counts as one vote. Yeah, if you go and you
- 37:06Speaker 1: pay for Patreon and vote in Patreon, if all of
- 37:09Speaker 1: those votes count as two votes correct each, So for
- 37:12Speaker 1: each one, so yeah, shit, we're going to have to
- 37:17Speaker 1: Oh oh, I'm not worried about buying him I'm just
- 37:21Speaker 1: worried about. So here's the thing with Fourth Wing is
- 37:23Speaker 1: I want to read it. I want to do Fourth Wing.
- 37:27Speaker 1: So now I am keen on Fourth Wing. But with
- 37:31Speaker 1: Fourth Wing, I was listening to Shits and Gigs and
- 37:34Speaker 1: he one of them was reading Fourth Wing, and I
- 37:36Speaker 1: was like, ah, I might not ever read it, so
- 37:38Speaker 1: so I'll just listened to it. So I was listening
- 37:40Speaker 1: to his synopsis on Fourth Wing. So I know some
- 37:42Speaker 1: of the big spoilers that happened in the first two books,
- 37:44Speaker 1: but he didn't finish the last book. Yeah, that's out,
- 37:48Speaker 1: So once we get to the third one, I'm chillin'.
- 37:50Speaker 1: I know some of the big things that happen in
- 37:51Speaker 1: the first two. But what I've noticed is because now
- 37:54Speaker 1: James from Shitts and Gigs is doing Akatar, and I've
- 37:57Speaker 1: read Akatar, his synopsis is on a Tara are not
- 38:01Speaker 1: all that accurate, so they give away spoilers, but they
- 38:04Speaker 1: give it like he was. I'm thinking to myself, he's
- 38:06Speaker 1: leaving out so much juice, So I think there's still
- 38:09Speaker 1: a lot of juice for me to get in Fourth Wing.
- 38:11Speaker 2: And I guess a little bit of the behind the
- 38:13Speaker 2: scenes in our decision making, although it's all up to
- 38:17Speaker 2: the baddies. In a sense, Akatar for the podcast was
- 38:21Speaker 2: amazing for the first two books, maybe even three, but
- 38:25Speaker 2: the last two the listenerships went down drastically.
- 38:30Speaker 1: It went down quite a bit. Yeah, it's like it
- 38:31Speaker 1: was like those two books were less hype for some reason.
- 38:33Speaker 2: It's almost like people stopped reading it or I don't know,
- 38:36Speaker 2: we got less good. But in a sense best for
- 38:40Speaker 2: the podcast is also the one that has the most hype.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Yeah. Change, And people have said Throne of Glass is long. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 38:50Speaker 1: A lot of people were like worried that it's not
- 38:51Speaker 1: good for a podcast.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I mean, like it could be true,
- 38:55Speaker 2: whereas we know Fourth Wing is good. Yeah, and it's
- 38:58Speaker 2: almost like wish.
- 39:00Speaker 1: We could do We probably could justify doing Fourth Wing
- 39:04Speaker 1: for the main episodes and Patreon, yeah fuck it, let's
- 39:08Speaker 1: just kill yeah yeah yeah. But yeah, because in a sense,
- 39:11Speaker 1: I do think those two might be too long for
- 39:13Speaker 1: a podcast to make it entertaining, but the real diehards
- 39:15Speaker 1: would love it. And I want to give everyone everything.
- 39:18Speaker 1: That true, there's almost too much reading for us true true, true,
- 39:21Speaker 1: true true. But that's all the information, so you know,
- 39:24Speaker 1: but you got Hey, if you guys, votes are on
- 39:25Speaker 1: a glass, that's what we're reading that. Yeah, so you
- 39:27Speaker 1: can make an informed decision. Yeah, how many votes do you?
- 39:32Speaker 1: And I get? None? None? None? What about three? Three votes?
- 39:37Speaker 1: So I think your vote counters three and my vote
- 39:41Speaker 1: counters three. It could be the decided I was going
- 39:44Speaker 1: to say, the only thing, the only time we should
- 39:46Speaker 1: get a vote is when there needs to be a decider. True. True,
- 39:51Speaker 1: Well you hate opinions anyway, So but yeah, sorry about
- 39:58Speaker 1: red Rising. Anybody that does want us to read that,
- 40:01Speaker 1: that one is unfortunately off limits already. I recommend you
- 40:05Speaker 1: read it, though it's fucking sick, bro, it's a good idea,
- 40:07Speaker 1: and get in a better routine. I lost it after
- 40:09Speaker 1: BALI oh really reading every night and now I don't
- 40:11Speaker 1: feel like it's a housemate's chill as fun. But we'll
- 40:18Speaker 1: leave it there. Come back next week and we'll be done.
- 40:20Speaker 1: We'll be the finale, thee oh my god, stay the
- 40:24Speaker 1: fuck bad
