elections 0:55 went I didn't cancel the recording with you because of the election okay because 1:02 I think I I canceled like 4 or 5:00 mhm but as the election continued I remember 1:08 turning to Becky saying I'm glad I canceled a we I don't think we would 1:13 have been able to talk about anything else we've been looking at the computer I know I know I well yeah let's talk we 1:19 got a few minutes we're on our own dime here we're we're paying for our own internet so we can talk about this I 1:25 think everybody was surprised about Trump I think that's fair to say so spoil alert should we yeah for those 1:32 that have recorded the election coverage you just might want to pause and wait 1:37 listen to this until you've listened uh so this episode's probably to come out a few weeks from now so you really have to 1:43 be living under Iraq in Iraq in Iraq so yeah Trump if you were to ask me rman by 1:50 the way you did not okay but if I were to ask you if you were to ask me the the morning of the election if Hillary was 1:55 going to win and I'm not a Hillary supporter and I'm not a trump supporter but I could be iCal here however if I 2:01 was to you know bet my $100 life savings which is about $100 that Hillary was 2:06 going to run the table that she was going to run the table on that election I thought it was going to be an embarrassment to Trump honestly I don't 2:12 mean embar but in his book's an embarrassment in that it's almost like thanks for giving the presidency to 2:17 Hillary Donald this is again not political at all you know how those people like in school or at work they just think that they're all that you 2:24 know that they're not and it's not that you wish harm on them you do hope that they have a moment that they get humbled 2:29 so I wonder in Donald Trump's case if his presidency win will humble him no 2:36 but maybe living as the president I you know that's a horrible job it's a horrible job I hope he does I hope he does amazing I hope he knocks out of the 2:42 park I hope it's a knockout you like that rocky rocky for Rocky I hope he 2:47 goes the distance in his four-year term doing well though doing well and I agree with I see ribon just pulled up a on the 2:54 internet Stone and Trump talking to each other so if you heard it on whoa all those all those viewers yeah I suspect I 3:01 look I suspect we're not going to get weird okay wait so so sorry this is was this a slow news 5:47 day or he did something that was like oh this is going to be the end of trump and 5:53 again this was months ago and again if you haven't listened I don't want to tell you if it was Trump so which which 5:59 okay well let's guess can we guess can we let's guess what it might have been the Trump trump you guess and I'll I'll 6:05 try to remember the timeline okay you're saying there was a new story that came out that you thought yourself this is 6:10 going to be the end of trump mm that's right yeah was it the time that he said to build a wall around Mexico but when I 6:16 ask the people that know more about the Border than anybody how important is the 6:22 wall and they tell me it is absolutely vital and in the the other words boxes yeah and grandpa has remembered the war not everybody that he 10:41 knew before the war was able to come back from it Grandpa said to me he said have ever told you how I got these and I 10:47 said no and he said I wasn't a hero I didn't give my life but I offered it that's a great story no it's a beautiful 10:53 story it is it is a beautiful story so people really have sacrificed everything so the sounds silly but we're able to 11:00 make fun of whoever the president is we can make fun of Obama we can make fun of Justin Trudeau we can yeah we're allow 11:06 we're allowed to poke fun or make fun and also there are nations out there Ruben as you know where you cannot 11:12 publicly make fun of the leadership yeah without some dire consequences so isn't it great that we live in a country 11:18 states us and much of the Commonwealth of course and you know all these free Nations as we call them free Nations 11:23 because you're basically you get the free to choose the job you want to work at the school you want to attend the 11:29 things you want to post on the internet aren't going to get you in trouble as you know with your own job is one thing but the point is is that you can say and 11:34 do things without somebody smashing down your door because you disagreed with their politics or disagree with their 11:40 leadership it's um it holds us accountable that we can disagree and there's protest going on right now uh in 11:45 the world in the states I should say regarding Trump and my only response is that as long as nobody's hurting each 11:50 other obviously that they causing crimes oh yeah of course they have the right to assemble and say hey I don't agree with this and that's their right and you can 11:57 disagree with their disagreement that's that's your right yeah as long as it's peaceful you're allowed to protest if 12:02 you're not allowed to protest then again you live in a nation where you can't have your voice heard uh so that's your politic account for today but I think 12:08 it's kind of poignant because it is a Veterans Day tomorrow and rememberers day tomorrow it's great that we live in the these nations that can do this and 12:14 secondly um obviously it's big news that Trump won it was a 20% chance according to the polls that he's going to win he 12:20 filled that 20% he you know what that's just it it's funny we say all 20% that a percentage I guess exists for a reason 12:27 you flip a coin you know enough time it's going to come up well I think politics and the rocky series go hand in 12:33 hand especially when we get to Rocky 4 yes Rocky 4 is a very political film yeah it's the ramble of the Rockies it 12:39 is it is it is I guess there's some overlap of current history because it's a 80s film and Trump is very 80s he's 12:46 very 80s like when I think of people of the 80s I think of trump lip F whatever 12:52 art of the deal yeah that's about the time the thing on his head started to grow there yeah so a little bit of a Googling here Stallone was friendly with 13:00 uh Trump but declined to endorse him okay which is fine sure I'm friendly with Trump and I don't endorse him yeah 13:07 uh yeah actually a friend of mine is friends with Evan McCollum the Whatchamacallit the independent 13:13 candidate in Utah okay and he's like I'm friends with him but I I don't think he's ready to be president sure it's 13:19 okay it's okay to be friends with somebody and disagree Reuben I'm friends with you and you're not ready to be president it's true it's true so it's 13:26 okay you know or you're not ready to be a brain surger no the point is is that we all have 13:32 different abilities but here's the thing I think I think Trump might be just as surprised by his own win I got to say Milani didn't look too jazzed is her 13:39 face able to change I think it's pretty bolox I don't know I I don't know whatever I I wish I uh when you're when 13:46 you're Googling Bert Reynolds on a bear rug you can also Google Milani's photo shoots but make sure you don't do it at work it's our first lady I have a friend 13:54 who's like that's probably the first it's a first actually here's a makeup on Rocky and I love this the line that said 17:50 to him tells rocky rocky you look terrific now you know he's got the makeup on him now now Rocky looks 17:56 terrific he talk starts talking about the smart Deal toy that's the toy company that's making the Rocky doll do 18:02 you remember in the ' 8S rib been those inflatable um punch things yeah yeah so 18:07 the idea was I think as an audience kids today might not know what they're talking about cuz you don't find those in Toys R Us anymore but there's the 18:13 inflatable so he says we made a deal with smart Deal toy 18:18 company a Rocky doll where you can kick it beat it it just takes a terrific 18:24 beating that's the I love it I love how he says he can kick it can beat it it takes a terrific beating so the idea of 18:31 course is the idea that Rocky himself takes a yeah he he takes the same beating in the ring this toy too can 18:38 take a terrific beating so I love the idea you're punching this thing and it comes back and punching it kick it I 18:43 love I love the kicking so this was like the early MMA doll you kick it too you can kick it wow 18:50 uh so the makeup guy is done I love the director says uh are you done with the makeup and the and that classic moment 18:56 where the guy says phito oh yeah he's an artist he's an artist he's an artist he's worked on Sloan's or Rocky's face 19:02 and he's you Rocky 2 I've emailed the uh the 19:54 girls that work in the commercial uh I've emailed Leonard I've emailed the director of the so they're still alive 20:01 that's the amazing thing they're still even on IMDb so they're still actively alive wow and like doing things in 2016 20:07 some of them uh I've also emailed one of the reporters that were in the U oh fun so I haven't heard anything back so if 20:13 you're listening out there and you know who was in Rocky 2 in fact if you know actually I wanted to mention this if you know anyone that was in Rocky 2 this is 20:20 basically for people in Pennsylvania we have a lot of listeners in that area in Ohio and Pennsylvania New York of course 20:25 if you know Amish Country Amish Country we have a lot of Amish listeners mhm if you know of anyone that did the Running 20:31 Scene in Rocky 2 any of the kids any one of those kids who did the Running Scene we got to talk cuz they're definitely 20:36 well they should be alive and they're going to be anywhere from ages runers they're Runners they should be in good shape they should be and I the the best 20:43 interview of those kids will be the one kid who pulls in the front yeah yeah yeah you know the one kid who you got 20:50 the one kid who's like right at the end there he's trying to match Rocky's speed and he pulls up just enough where he's 20:55 away from all of the kids and that was his time on screen cuz everyone sees that kid go and he goes go go go so that 21:01 kid is still alive and he's listening we want to get you on the horn now this might be kind of a funny one like go now this is one of the things that I love about the rocky Series in a really good 25:38 movie is the movie is not a comedy but it can use humor so well yeah that's right it's funnier than 99% of the 25:46 comedies that are released that I find more humor it's funnier than an Adam tler movie even funnier than the 25:52 ridiculous six I don't know I I didn't get past the first opening scene I I couldn't do it I was like Life's Too 25:59 Short hey if you enjoy awesome enjoy it if you're Trump supporter great well I 26:05 don't care watch what you want to watch fre that's right free country yeah and that's why I decided this was too 26:11 ridiculous for me this it was if it was ridiculous 5 or if the Ridiculousness was 26:17 lowered if it wasn't a level six would you have watched 26:41 maybe at some point there was an original inspiration for a good comedy here I don't know they certainly were not reluctant to spend a lot of money 26:47 looking ridiculous in this movie and sometimes that works but not this time the whole movie is a mess and even 26:53 though Cosby has dis has disowned it he cannot Escape all the blame I don't think so in one scene his 20-year-old 27:00 daughter brings home a 66-year-old man that she wants to marry Cosby is appalled this guy is robbing the cradle 27:07 what does he do he calls for a sandwich and a coke and then he holds the coke bottle prominently next to his face for 27:13 the rest of the scene first it says Coca-Cola then the next shot it says Coke in case you missed the point who 27:18 released this movie Columbia who owns Columbia coca colola what is Coca-Cola 27:24 doing with this movie they have a lot of products in this movie Jean that you can get tie-in where you can get the product 27:29 in connection with buying a ticket for the movie I think that that is an alltime low Bill Cosby the richest man 27:36 in Show Business $ 67.5 million income last year reduced to holding a Coca-Cola 27:43 bottle next to his face in order to get a picture made at Colombia he ought to be ashamed of 27:48 himself boy you're upset and you know I am to oh yeah that's right Leonard 6 that's 27:56 hilarious I saw Leonard what was he drinking to make that decision let me just say that his date was asleep when 28:02 he wrote the script you know what if I saw that movie I'm pretty sure I would have fallen asleep okay I saw
