- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio, another.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Week of the Bachelorette. This is the almost Famous podcast
- 0:09Speaker 2: with my co host, who is incredible, who is very
- 0:13Speaker 2: excited right now, very pumped up about this week's episode.
- 0:18Speaker 2: We have a lot to talk about, a lot to
- 0:19Speaker 2: break down. It's Hometown's week. Hello Ashley, Hello Ben.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Yes, I am super stoked about talking about this episode.
- 0:26Speaker 3: It was such a good episode. There's so many feelings,
- 0:30Speaker 3: so much warmth. I loved all the families, and you know,
- 0:34Speaker 3: I was, I was really so engaged. This is so
- 0:37Speaker 3: funny when Charity ends up meeting Jesse at the end
- 0:41Speaker 3: to just kind of deliberate, deliberate about the week. I
- 0:45Speaker 3: was expecting to see Chris Harrison. I haven't been like
- 0:49Speaker 3: that invested in that long that I expected Harrison to.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Just be there. You're just like, this feels like a
- 0:56Speaker 2: Harrison week. Yes, Wow, wasn't.
- 1:01Speaker 3: But we still love Jesse. We still love Jesse. Okay,
- 1:04Speaker 3: so loved this episode so much because so many reasons.
- 1:09Speaker 3: One we got to know so many great people, and
- 1:11Speaker 3: two you just didn't know what the heck was going
- 1:16Speaker 3: to happen at the end, and it wasn't because multiple
- 1:20Speaker 3: things had gone wrong during the week. It was because
- 1:23Speaker 3: so many things went great. There was only one wrong thing,
- 1:26Speaker 3: and it happened with somebody, Joey, who I thought was
- 1:31Speaker 3: too strong leading up to this week to have just
- 1:34Speaker 3: one fault bring him down.
- 1:37Speaker 2: We got a lot to break down. We're going to
- 1:39Speaker 2: go in order here of hometowns. Ashley is right, I think, Ashley,
- 1:43Speaker 2: would you tell me that I'm right if I made
- 1:45Speaker 2: this statement that in seasons past, this has been the
- 1:50Speaker 2: most I don't want to say likable. That's not the word.
- 1:52Speaker 2: I want to use. The most peaceful, the most, the easiest,
- 1:57Speaker 2: the the the least bizarre hometown's week in recent memory.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Yeah, because usually you get the whole protective parents or
- 2:07Speaker 3: siblings thing, overly protective, you know, like too much attitude,
- 2:12Speaker 3: and then you get somebody who got riled up and
- 2:15Speaker 3: made the lead feel uncomfortable. We didn't have that either.
- 2:20Speaker 3: We just had an Uncle Joe. We'll get to Uncle Joe,
- 2:23Speaker 3: who I wonder if Joey is named after in a
- 2:28Speaker 3: few Let's start with Aaron. Why we call him? Why
- 2:31Speaker 3: we still call him an Aaron B. But it just
- 2:32Speaker 3: feels like Aaron B. Rolls off the tongue. Aaron Bee's hometown.
- 2:35Speaker 2: It's Aaron's hometown in Houston, Texas. It's hometown week. We're
- 2:39Speaker 2: going to go in order today with Aaron, Joey, Xavier, Doton,
- 2:45Speaker 2: Ashley coming into this week. Aaron Bees the one that
- 2:49Speaker 2: we felt like was most likely to go home. Now
- 2:52Speaker 2: we did, I will say, and you kind of mentioned
- 2:55Speaker 2: it at the beginning of this podcast. This was the
- 2:58Speaker 2: hometown I was most intrigued by going into this episode
- 3:00Speaker 2: because we thought he was going home. We thought I
- 3:04Speaker 2: expected something to be clearly go wrong here where we'd
- 3:07Speaker 2: be like, of course, now he's going home. It's not
- 3:09Speaker 2: a shocker. But as you mentioned the beginning of episode,
- 3:12Speaker 2: after watching the first couple of dates, you and I
- 3:14Speaker 2: both felt like we didn't know who was going to
- 3:17Speaker 2: be eliminated because this hometown went really well. Kick it
- 3:20Speaker 2: off with Aaron Be's.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Hometown, all right, So Aerin kind of goes straight into
- 3:24Speaker 3: the family sash and they did a little date thing.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Later we meet his two parents, who are standing stand outs,
- 3:31Speaker 3: Eddie and Ethel. Amazing. Aaron says, yes, Ethel is the
- 3:36Speaker 3: name of my dog, so it's a special name for us.
- 3:40Speaker 3: We had a Lucy and then we had an Ethel. Okay,
- 3:42Speaker 3: so Aaron kind of Warren's charity that his mom can
- 3:46Speaker 3: be tough on girls. She doesn't like a lot of
- 3:49Speaker 3: girls that he's brought home. But then we meet Ethel
- 3:52Speaker 3: and she is warm and she loves charity, not without
- 3:56Speaker 3: her like having a great conversation with her. She act
- 4:00Speaker 3: actually ends the family part by saying that I more
- 4:04Speaker 3: than like charity. So mom has been one over the
- 4:08Speaker 3: dad Eddie incredible because this man one they share. They
- 4:15Speaker 3: kind of like share for the first time that he's
- 4:18Speaker 3: proud of Aaron, and Aaron is like, I've been waiting
- 4:21Speaker 3: so long to hear my dad say he's proud. But
- 4:23Speaker 3: that might be a little bit of a weird wording
- 4:25Speaker 3: because I feel like this family is so connected and
- 4:26Speaker 3: they've always been proud. But it's at this moment where
- 4:29Speaker 3: he hears the words from his dad for the first
- 4:31Speaker 3: time and they just express how much to late love
- 4:34Speaker 3: each other. And oh, the dad is just like really
- 4:38Speaker 3: sold on charity too, because he's just like, I don't
- 4:41Speaker 3: I told them my boys and don't bring home girlfriends.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I don't want to meet your girlfriends. I want to
- 4:46Speaker 3: meet girls that you say like, hey, I really see
- 4:49Speaker 3: something long term with her and uh. He says that
- 4:53Speaker 3: he sees it in Aaron's eyes and just the chemistry
- 4:57Speaker 3: that they have together when they walk in the room,
- 4:59Speaker 3: and it's breaking my heart. This father son relationship is
- 5:03Speaker 3: so sweet, and so is Aaron's relationship with his siblings,
- 5:06Speaker 3: specifically his younger brother. They're all just so stoked for
- 5:11Speaker 3: Aaron because they all, you can tell, want to welcome
- 5:15Speaker 3: Charity into the family, and Charity has she expressed that
- 5:20Speaker 3: the expresses throughout this date that you know, she wasn't
- 5:23Speaker 3: sure about Aaron because she felt like they had fallen behind.
- 5:27Speaker 3: She even admits to the mom that if she had
- 5:31Speaker 3: to accept a proposal from him today, would she do it?
- 5:34Speaker 3: She said no, which is honest. But then at the
- 5:37Speaker 3: end of the night, he's they go to this cute
- 5:39Speaker 3: field and it's like basically a mock high school date.
- 5:44Speaker 3: He plays the song that Laura and Elena played on
- 5:46Speaker 3: their first date. They have matching letterman jackets. It's just
- 5:50Speaker 3: the cutest thing ever, and he says that he's falling
- 5:56Speaker 3: in love with her, and her reaction is wonderful. She
- 5:59Speaker 3: starts crying and I'm thinking in my head, I'm like,
- 6:02Speaker 3: because it's the first date, I'm like, oh, are you crying,
- 6:04Speaker 3: because like you're sad that you can't that you don't
- 6:07Speaker 3: reciprocate these feelings. The cynic in me was like, Ah,
- 6:10Speaker 3: she's crying because she feels bad. But then the episode
- 6:13Speaker 3: goes on and you kind of realize, like she keeps
- 6:17Speaker 3: saying I can imagine a life with him, like I
- 6:19Speaker 3: feel like I could be falling in love with him.
- 6:21Speaker 3: So we're totally thrown off of what happens at the
- 6:24Speaker 3: end of the episode. Sort of kind of okay, but
- 6:26Speaker 3: let's continue to talk, Lak. Is there anything that you
- 6:29Speaker 3: want to mention?
- 6:30Speaker 2: Well, I think it's unique. Well, I think one thing
- 6:32Speaker 2: I want to mention is it's always exciting Eddie and Ethel.
- 6:35Speaker 2: They had thirty two years of marriage, I think was
- 6:38Speaker 2: how long they were married for, which is just an
- 6:40Speaker 2: accomplishment in itself, and so we want to say congratulations
- 6:44Speaker 2: to that. But then also, you know, it's interesting to
- 6:50Speaker 2: watch this episode for me Ashley now knowing how it
- 6:53Speaker 2: ends right with Aaron be going home and seeing him,
- 6:57Speaker 2: you know, communicate the way he did to her, saying
- 7:01Speaker 2: the words he said this very cute moment that they
- 7:04Speaker 2: had and then how good Charity felt. And so I
- 7:07Speaker 2: say this to say, in the back of her mind,
- 7:10Speaker 2: I think going into this hometown, she always expected Aaron
- 7:15Speaker 2: to be the one going home, Like I think she
- 7:17Speaker 2: knew this week, like she had communicated that she couldn't
- 7:20Speaker 2: say yes to the mom she knew that they had
- 7:22Speaker 2: fallen behind. I think these other three relationships had such
- 7:26Speaker 2: like dynamic conversations in the previous weeks that she thought
- 7:31Speaker 2: and if you would asked her who's going to be
- 7:33Speaker 2: going home within this week, she would have said, Aaron
- 7:35Speaker 2: is right. So it's interesting to me that she felt
- 7:37Speaker 2: good after this date, not that she wants to feel bad,
- 7:41Speaker 2: but knowing what we know about Charity so far through
- 7:44Speaker 2: the season, I expected her to be almost in turmoil
- 7:48Speaker 2: going leaving this date because she was like, I it's
- 7:51Speaker 2: it's going to be so hard, like these next steps
- 7:53Speaker 2: I cannot imagine.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Like I think she's stressed. I think she would be
- 7:58Speaker 3: stressed at the end of this date, thinking like, oh crap,
- 8:01Speaker 3: this was the guy that I was supposed to kind
- 8:04Speaker 3: of eliminate at the end.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Of this Yes, but she's not. She's feel I don't
- 8:08Speaker 2: think so.
- 8:09Speaker 3: I think she's truly happy, and I wonder what the
- 8:10Speaker 3: actual order of the dates was, But based on her reaction,
- 8:16Speaker 3: I don't know. I wonder. I wish she was here
- 8:17Speaker 3: right now so I could ask her, Charity, did you
- 8:20Speaker 3: truly look at this like each day was with a
- 8:23Speaker 3: different man, different situation. Did you separate it so well
- 8:26Speaker 3: that you weren't thinking about the others or were you
- 8:29Speaker 3: plotting them against each other?
- 8:30Speaker 2: Yep? I agree. Well, next hometown date is Joey's. It's
- 8:35Speaker 2: Joey's hometown date, which is in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, which I've
- 8:38Speaker 2: never heard of in my life.
- 8:41Speaker 1: No.
- 8:41Speaker 2: I was like, stay college, No, yeah, Collegeville, never heard
- 8:44Speaker 2: of it. But Charity is very excited to meet Joey's family.
- 8:48Speaker 2: I think there's reasons for that. I think she's very
- 8:50Speaker 2: into Joey, and so meeting Joey's family is very exciting
- 8:53Speaker 2: for her. We've seen so far through the season that
- 8:56Speaker 2: Joey and Charity have felt like they've always been in
- 8:59Speaker 2: a good place. They've always been able to connect. They
- 9:03Speaker 2: obviously connected physically and the longest kiss ever. They've connected
- 9:08Speaker 2: through conversation and through good moments and great moments, and
- 9:12Speaker 2: so this feels like a strong relationship going in. I
- 9:16Speaker 2: don't think you or I or most people that listen
- 9:19Speaker 2: to this podcast expected this hometown date to go poorly,
- 9:23Speaker 2: but out of all the hometowns, it did feel like
- 9:26Speaker 2: this one was the toughest. Not bad. I'm not going
- 9:32Speaker 2: to put it up there with some of the really bizarre,
- 9:34Speaker 2: really tough hometown dates of pass but it does raise
- 9:38Speaker 2: some questions, maybe more questions than answers, so Ashley take
- 9:42Speaker 2: it away.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Charity even says at the end of the hometown she goes,
- 9:46Speaker 3: I was hoping it was going to be great. It
- 9:48Speaker 3: wasn't bad. It was good.
- 9:50Speaker 2: It wasn't great, though that she's not saying it was great.
- 9:53Speaker 3: No, she's not saying it's great. So I think that
- 9:54Speaker 3: the only lead in that we had that this might
- 9:56Speaker 3: be like the more dramatic hometown was because we saw
- 9:59Speaker 3: on the scenes in the next episode last week that
- 10:01Speaker 3: this man who we thought may have been Joey's dad
- 10:03Speaker 3: but it wasn't. It was his uncle. Asked Charity, if
- 10:07Speaker 3: she thinks that he's seeing she's seeing the real Joey.
- 10:10Speaker 2: We kind of well, I just want to pause you there, though,
- 10:12Speaker 2: because we thought, or at least I said I think
- 10:15Speaker 2: on last week's podcast that I thought this little clip
- 10:19Speaker 2: was being overblown, like it was taken out of context.
- 10:21Speaker 2: It was just a good teaser. It necessary, It doesn't
- 10:23Speaker 2: It wasn't necessarily overblown. It was very much what we saw.
- 10:36Speaker 3: So he decides to take her to a tennis court
- 10:40Speaker 3: teacher tennis lesson that's his occupation in Hawaii. And in
- 10:45Speaker 3: the middle of the lesson, in which she's being like
- 10:48Speaker 3: super flirty, and she keeps saying how comfortably comfortable she
- 10:51Speaker 3: is with Joey, like physically, she just feels like she's
- 10:54Speaker 3: very loose, she's very flirty, and I'm kind of realizing,
- 11:00Speaker 3: I'm like, obviously, like everybody's been really into Joey the
- 11:03Speaker 3: entire time fandom and charity, but now that I put
- 11:08Speaker 3: him directly next to a date with Aaron B I'm like, Okay,
- 11:13Speaker 3: I understand she's she's definitely like more crushing on Joey.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Sure.
- 11:20Speaker 3: So they they're in there, they're doing the in and
- 11:22Speaker 3: then Joey's uncle, Uncle Joe comes in and he's such
- 11:28Speaker 3: like a bro dude. He's like not like giving like
- 11:31Speaker 3: a ton of warm energy her way, I don't remember
- 11:36Speaker 3: if there's anything like from he He basically just says, like,
- 11:41Speaker 3: this is my uncle. I am the closest in my
- 11:45Speaker 3: family to him. He is somebody that like has guided
- 11:51Speaker 3: him in like so many ways. It's who he started
- 11:53Speaker 3: doing tennis with and that obviously turned into his occupation.
- 11:58Speaker 3: And then they go back and the forth. They hit
- 12:01Speaker 3: some balls and then Joe Uncle Joe says that he
- 12:05Speaker 3: and Joey have these similarities and it's almost like he's
- 12:11Speaker 3: referring to the fact that they have similarities that will
- 12:14Speaker 3: be of great impact in relationships. Okay, maybe I'm reaching,
- 12:18Speaker 3: but that's just how I'm vibing.
- 12:19Speaker 2: That's what you're taking from it. It's what you assumed
- 12:21Speaker 2: he was trying to say.
- 12:23Speaker 3: This is just me. Yeah. So then Uncle Joe leaves.
- 12:26Speaker 3: He kind of makes a reference to the fact that
- 12:29Speaker 3: he didn't feel a ton of chemistry between the two
- 12:31Speaker 3: of them on the court.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Now, okay, to close this up, then he makes this
- 12:35Speaker 2: comment Ashley, one do you agree? Two what does chemistry
- 12:41Speaker 2: even look like on the court? And three do you
- 12:43Speaker 2: think do you think that Uncle Joe walked into this
- 12:48Speaker 2: date because of the situation, because of the fact that
- 12:51Speaker 2: it was the Bachelorette because of probably his confusion on
- 12:55Speaker 2: why Joey's even on this show. Do you think he
- 12:57Speaker 2: just had already said there's no way that is gonna
- 13:00Speaker 2: be chemistry between the two.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I think that the dude is kind of like bitter
- 13:06Speaker 3: against the idea of the show. Sure, that's what I
- 13:08Speaker 3: think that he probably thinks that he and his nephew
- 13:11Speaker 3: are too cool for it. Again, I might be reaching,
- 13:14Speaker 3: and I just I'm vibing, Okay, this is just like
- 13:17Speaker 3: I'm going with the flow on how my feelings may maybe.
- 13:21Speaker 3: And then I as far as like their chemistry, I
- 13:25Speaker 3: always thought it was great. It was great. But then
- 13:28Speaker 3: I started a second guess the chemistry. I'm like, wait
- 13:30Speaker 3: a second, do I have to watch body language more
- 13:32Speaker 3: between the two of them. Is Joey off? Is he
- 13:34Speaker 3: not as into her and not as reciprocative to touch?
- 13:38Speaker 3: And I thought that, like, they seem pretty good, And
- 13:41Speaker 3: once I continue to watch the rest of their interaction
- 13:44Speaker 3: and I was like, no, I think that they do
- 13:46Speaker 3: have chemeras.
- 13:46Speaker 2: So you disagreed with Uncle Joe. You think they have chemistry.
- 13:49Speaker 2: You've always thought they've had chemistry. You think Uncle Joe
- 13:53Speaker 2: is wrong, which takes us then to later on in
- 13:55Speaker 2: the afternoon where Uncle Joe brings up the clip that
- 13:58Speaker 2: we obviously watched in the heser when he kind of
- 14:01Speaker 2: says that his nephew is a chameleon of sorts. He
- 14:07Speaker 2: kind of adjusts to wherever and whoever he needs to
- 14:10Speaker 2: be at that time. My first question to you, before
- 14:14Speaker 2: we get into just what he meant by it, is
- 14:18Speaker 2: do you think it is a bad thing? Listeners? Do
- 14:20Speaker 2: you think it is a bad thing when somebody kind
- 14:23Speaker 2: of adjusts who they are, what they say, how they
- 14:26Speaker 2: behave based on the group that they're surrounded by.
- 14:30Speaker 3: I have a good friend who I find that does this,
- 14:32Speaker 3: and I don't find it to be a bad thing.
- 14:35Speaker 3: It just she's a little bit different with different people,
- 14:40Speaker 3: which I think most people tend to sort of be.
- 14:45Speaker 3: You have like different vibes and personality that come out right,
- 14:49Speaker 3: don't do you find that?
- 14:50Speaker 2: I mean, I think when I hear this, I think
- 14:55Speaker 2: when I hear Uncle Joe say this, my thought goes
- 14:58Speaker 2: to he like, Joey is doing this to an extreme right,
- 15:01Speaker 2: Like he's one person in one moment another person in
- 15:04Speaker 2: another moment, which I don't think is right. But I
- 15:06Speaker 2: think as long as you keep your core like foundational principles,
- 15:10Speaker 2: your ethics, your values, yeah, your care for people, then like, yes,
- 15:14Speaker 2: I'm not going to be I'm going to be different
- 15:17Speaker 2: around my closest friends from middle school than I am
- 15:20Speaker 2: going to be in a group of strangers at a
- 15:22Speaker 2: business meeting. I'm going to be different on a first
- 15:25Speaker 2: date then I'm going to be on a fifth date.
- 15:27Speaker 2: There's just a difference.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Yeah, you can look at what he's saying dramatically, like
- 15:32Speaker 3: I think Uncle Joe is trying to be dramatic, so sure,
- 15:38Speaker 3: But what I think this is is like, yeah, you've
- 15:40Speaker 3: never seen your nephew with cameras for a national network show.
- 15:46Speaker 3: You've probably never seen your nephew like on a date before.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Of course he's going to come across different.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Well, And I mean I look back on my time
- 15:55Speaker 2: on the Bachelorette especially, and I was I was different
- 16:00Speaker 2: on the Bachelorette then I would have been in any
- 16:03Speaker 2: other dating scenario because I one was nervous too, knew
- 16:06Speaker 2: that everything I said and did would be potentially aired
- 16:10Speaker 2: on national television, so I didn't make the snide jokes
- 16:13Speaker 2: that maybe didn't land. But if it didn't land at
- 16:17Speaker 2: amongst a bunch of friends, they just say that was
- 16:20Speaker 2: a stupid joke and we move on. If it goes
- 16:22Speaker 2: on national television, there is judgment. It does live with
- 16:25Speaker 2: me for a while. So I would say one hundred percent,
- 16:28Speaker 2: I was quieter on the Bachelorette. I was more reserved.
- 16:32Speaker 2: I was shy, I was nervous. I didn't speak up
- 16:36Speaker 2: maybe as much as I would for example doing a podcast.
- 16:41Speaker 2: I was a different person. So I think it has
- 16:44Speaker 2: to happen with everybody. I think it's a unique person
- 16:47Speaker 2: that is the same way on this show than they
- 16:50Speaker 2: are in real life. Like I think Brayden is probably
- 16:53Speaker 2: very similar in real life as he was on this show.
- 16:57Speaker 2: He didn't seem to be reserved at all.
- 17:00Speaker 3: But it may even be not to defend Brandon even more,
- 17:03Speaker 3: but it may be even more of like an opposite effect,
- 17:05Speaker 3: where it's like if you are completely like yourself, it
- 17:08Speaker 3: comes across bigger on TV than it would in person.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Sure, sure, but I just think like some personalities do
- 17:16Speaker 2: have to adjust more or less. And it's especially true
- 17:20Speaker 2: with personalities that live in their own head that are
- 17:23Speaker 2: very they're one always kind of self aware in a
- 17:27Speaker 2: good and bad way. Uh. They are always thinking, like
- 17:31Speaker 2: even in normal life, about what they're saying and how
- 17:33Speaker 2: it's like going to affect people positively or negatively. If
- 17:37Speaker 2: you do that in real life, you're one hundred percent
- 17:39Speaker 2: going to do it, you know, when cameras are around.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Yeah. Another thing that is like telling that maybe there's
- 17:46Speaker 3: more to this story.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Mm hmmm is that.
- 17:49Speaker 3: In the scene to the next episode, it shows Joey
- 17:53Speaker 3: and Charity at dinner together and he says, I'm not
- 17:55Speaker 3: an easy person to be in a relationship with. Mmmm, So,
- 17:59Speaker 3: now do you think there's more of a story.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I don't know if the two things are correlated directly.
- 18:08Speaker 2: I do think he's gonna for the first time kind
- 18:11Speaker 2: of express some of the things that maybe he has
- 18:15Speaker 2: his red flags. However, I also would argue that if
- 18:18Speaker 2: somebody's willing to tell you what their red flags are,
- 18:22Speaker 2: you can most of the time can work through that.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Like if he comes to her and says, I'm not
- 18:26Speaker 2: an easy person to be in a relationship with because
- 18:27Speaker 2: I have a hard time communicating my feelings or i
- 18:30Speaker 2: I'm selfish. You know, I've lived alone in Hawaii for
- 18:34Speaker 2: so many years, I'm selfish.
- 18:35Speaker 3: I think that's probably what it's going to be, along
- 18:38Speaker 3: the lines of he kind of likes his independence.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Yes, he likes his independence, and I think that's what
- 18:44Speaker 2: we're going with now. I do want to just kind
- 18:46Speaker 2: of close up the thought with Uncle Joe, though, Okay,
- 18:50Speaker 2: what do you think Uncle Joe was trying to do here? Like,
- 18:52Speaker 2: do you think he was trying to end this relationship
- 18:56Speaker 2: because this whole thing seems so weird to him. Think
- 19:00Speaker 2: he was trying to add doubt to Charity's head? Or
- 19:03Speaker 2: do you think he was trying to do something to
- 19:06Speaker 2: deepen their bond together.
- 19:09Speaker 3: He definitely wasn't trying to deepen the bond. There's like
- 19:12Speaker 3: some thing about this guy, and I don't want to say,
- 19:16Speaker 3: like I don't like him. I don't know anything about him,
- 19:18Speaker 3: but like he gave dark energy, Okay, and I like
- 19:23Speaker 3: don't even want to elaborate on that because I don't
- 19:26Speaker 3: know him. I can just say what I interpreted him
- 19:30Speaker 3: to be you from the little he said.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Maybe the other way to say that was he because
- 19:37Speaker 2: he did this for me, He gave me energy that
- 19:40Speaker 2: if it's not that in life, if he doesn't approve,
- 19:47Speaker 2: then it's not right, meaning if he isn't on board
- 19:51Speaker 2: with what's happening and there's like nuance to it, if
- 19:55Speaker 2: it's not his way, then there's no way.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Yeah. And I also think that like he's always been
- 20:02Speaker 3: the person that Joey's gone to for advice and for
- 20:06Speaker 3: like just as that like role model figure, and I
- 20:11Speaker 3: feel like he almost doesn't want somebody else to be
- 20:14Speaker 3: put up on a pedestal by Joey.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 20:17Speaker 3: That's that's heavy, I know, And that's I'm so ridiculous.
- 20:21Speaker 3: This is a podcast, guys, I'm just throwing out things
- 20:24Speaker 3: that I just just lightly vibed.
- 20:26Speaker 2: But Okay, So in all in all, though, this scene
- 20:33Speaker 2: with Joey's uncle is not in the top twenty of
- 20:37Speaker 2: scenes we've seen in the past on Hometown. Yeah, it
- 20:40Speaker 2: feels more dramatic because all these other hometowns functioned as
- 20:45Speaker 2: such a smooth and sweet and like simple, peaceful place.
- 20:50Speaker 2: This is the only amount of kind of contentiousness that
- 20:54Speaker 2: we saw this week, and that's why it feels so heightened.
- 20:58Speaker 2: But I don't think this is is like one that
- 21:01Speaker 2: will ever go back. I don't think we'll remember this
- 21:03Speaker 2: in a year. I don't think there was sabotage at
- 21:07Speaker 2: play here. I think everything can still play out exactly
- 21:11Speaker 2: how Charity needs it and wants it to be. It
- 21:14Speaker 2: just felt like the one standout moment that we could say, hey,
- 21:20Speaker 2: didn't seem to be great. Didn't it seem to be helpful.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Maybe maybe it was helpful, Maybe didn't seem to be
- 21:28Speaker 2: one that added security and peace to their relationship. It
- 21:32Speaker 2: added some questions. Okay, to close out Joey's date here
- 21:36Speaker 2: with the rest of the family, is there anything else
- 21:38Speaker 2: to sit out to you, Ashley, The.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Rest of the family seems lovely, especially his moms. She
- 21:42Speaker 3: got really emotional, just really excited to see him finding
- 21:45Speaker 3: somebody that he's willing to commit to, because everybody was
- 21:49Speaker 3: just like, oh my god, if you get Joey's heart,
- 21:52Speaker 3: like holy Moley, like almost like he doesn't let himself
- 21:54Speaker 3: fall easily. But I think the other huge thing to
- 21:58Speaker 3: mention about Joey's date is that Charity was ready to
- 22:02Speaker 3: say I'm falling in love with you. She said, I'm
- 22:05Speaker 3: ready to say this to him. I wonder if she
- 22:08Speaker 3: was ready to say that about Dotton, because she didn't
- 22:10Speaker 3: mention it up with Dawton and then at the end,
- 22:15Speaker 3: when they're sitting on the bench and talking, she's hoping
- 22:18Speaker 3: to say it, I think, but she's waiting for him
- 22:20Speaker 3: to say it, and then he doesn't say anything about her,
- 22:23Speaker 3: so then she just drops the whole thing. And it
- 22:25Speaker 3: gets really awkward when he gets in the car because
- 22:29Speaker 3: and he's sensing that something is off. He's like, oh man,
- 22:32Speaker 3: am I gonna go home? Did something go wrong? Am I?
- 22:36Speaker 3: The next on the shopping block, he said that every
- 22:39Speaker 3: time they say goodbye, it feels like they're leaving off
- 22:41Speaker 3: on a good note, ready to explore the relationship more.
- 22:43Speaker 3: And then this has felt more like an ending.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Hey guys, it's Jenna Ashkwitz and Kevin McHale from and

- 24:00Speaker 6: just like you, always looking for something interesting, heartfelt and
- 24:04Speaker 6: entertaining to listen to. You know, look, maybe you used
- 24:08Speaker 6: to watch a show every Monday night and now you
- 24:10Speaker 6: have a lot of time on your hands and you're
- 24:12Speaker 6: looking for something new, someone who's here for the right reasons.
- 24:17Speaker 6: If you will, I've got you listen to the most
- 24:20Speaker 6: dramatic podcast ever on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or
- 24:24Speaker 6: wherever you listen to podcasts.
- 24:29Speaker 3: So the family great, the mom super emotional, she seemed
- 24:32Speaker 3: really sweet. Everybody was really excited that he found him
- 24:35Speaker 3: found a girl to give his heart too. It seems
- 24:39Speaker 3: like he does not give his heart easily. And the
- 24:43Speaker 3: huge thing is just the whole exit. Because she was
- 24:47Speaker 3: ready to say I'm falling in love with you. She
- 24:50Speaker 3: didn't say this about any other guy during this episode,
- 24:53Speaker 3: but she was preparing to possibly say it to Joey
- 24:55Speaker 3: if it seemed like the right timing if things went great.
- 24:58Speaker 3: But because they, as she said, didn't go great, and
- 25:01Speaker 3: because I think he didn't really say anything along those lines,
- 25:04Speaker 3: she doesn't say anything. She puts them in the car crying.
- 25:08Speaker 3: She keeps saying, I'm crying because I'm gonna miss you.
- 25:11Speaker 3: But he can pick up that that is not the
- 25:13Speaker 3: whole story, and he says that he feels like he
- 25:15Speaker 3: might be on the chopping block because they always leave
- 25:18Speaker 3: each other excited to further explore their relationship and this
- 25:23Speaker 3: just felt off.
- 25:25Speaker 2: So where do you think it goes? I mean, at
- 25:26Speaker 2: this point in the episode, actually you're watching this scene,
- 25:28Speaker 2: you're seeing unfold. Where's your mind at.
- 25:31Speaker 3: My mind is that she likes him too much to
- 25:34Speaker 3: have this be the last straw, because it's really the
- 25:37Speaker 3: first Strawstan.
- 25:38Speaker 2: There's ever been anything at all, even emotional in any
- 25:43Speaker 2: type of negative way. Is Again, as little as we
- 25:47Speaker 2: think this was a negative, this has been the first
- 25:49Speaker 2: time in their relationship, it was not. It was going
- 25:52Speaker 2: to be shocking to me. If Joey went home this week.
- 25:54Speaker 2: I wouldn't have expected it. Didn't see it coming, never
- 25:58Speaker 2: fully believed it could.
- 25:59Speaker 3: So.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Xavier hometown. Speaking of really sweet family dates, this is
- 26:04Speaker 2: definitely one of them. If you remember last week, Xavier
- 26:09Speaker 2: and Charity had a what I would say a very real,
- 26:12Speaker 2: difficult conversation about his experience mostly on the show, and
- 26:18Speaker 2: where he was at and where he thought he could
- 26:19Speaker 2: go and what he was worried about. He was I
- 26:24Speaker 2: don't think he snuck in to hometowns. In fact, I
- 26:27Speaker 2: would still say last week that Aaron b snuck into hometowns,
- 26:31Speaker 2: but there were questions about Xavier and Charity and where
- 26:35Speaker 2: their relationship would be going and could go. And so
- 26:38Speaker 2: with this hometown, I had a lot of anticipation as
- 26:41Speaker 2: I tuned in.
- 26:43Speaker 3: So first they go knit, which is cute. They went
- 26:47Speaker 3: to a knitting class. He taught her how to knit,
- 26:49Speaker 3: so like all the guys are trying to do like
- 26:52Speaker 3: their thing. It's like Joey did tennis and got to
- 26:56Speaker 3: touch her while teaching her form. The same thing is
- 27:00Speaker 3: happening here with Xavier holding her hands as they're learning
- 27:04Speaker 3: how Actually great pastime of this for her a first time.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Very sweet. And then they move on to the family portion,
- 27:14Speaker 3: and we are going to meet his mom, who we
- 27:16Speaker 3: know he's become a scientist because she has ms. The
- 27:20Speaker 3: woman lights up the room with her smile when she
- 27:24Speaker 3: sees charity. Everybody. This is another wonderful family. This sister
- 27:30Speaker 3: is freaking obsessed with charity. Xavier says one thing that
- 27:36Speaker 3: I was like a little bit of like a hmmm
- 27:38Speaker 3: for me. He says, I think Chelsea might like charity
- 27:44Speaker 3: more than may love charity more than I do.
- 27:49Speaker 2: I mean, I mean I think in the past, like
- 27:51Speaker 2: I love Jessica's family. They are they I love them
- 27:55Speaker 2: a ton, And she used to like she's made a
- 27:58Speaker 2: joke about every single person and her family, like did
- 28:01Speaker 2: you marry me? Because of my dad, Did you marry
- 28:03Speaker 2: because of my mom? My brother's like, it's just a
- 28:05Speaker 2: it's a sweet joke. And I've made the same like
- 28:10Speaker 2: remarks back to her at times based on my family,
- 28:13Speaker 2: and I know where it comes from for me, and
- 28:15Speaker 2: I know where it comes from her. It's a place
- 28:17Speaker 2: of endearment because we are obviously so close with our
- 28:21Speaker 2: families and we love and respect our families a lot.
- 28:24Speaker 2: That when you find a partner who loves your family
- 28:27Speaker 2: equally as much and enjoys them equally as much, it
- 28:30Speaker 2: is like the sweetest thing to see and to be
- 28:34Speaker 2: a part of and to gift, And it's a big
- 28:36Speaker 2: answer to prayer. So I think Xavier says it with
- 28:40Speaker 2: like how cool is this? Like how fun is this?
- 28:43Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 28:43Speaker 3: Yeah, especially since he said that his sister is really
- 28:45Speaker 3: protective and so charity. She sits down with the mom.
- 28:51Speaker 3: They have a great exchange. The thing that she really
- 28:55Speaker 3: learns from the sit downs with the sister and the
- 28:57Speaker 3: mom is that he is ready to be a husband
- 28:59Speaker 3: in a day that like all those things that he
- 29:03Speaker 3: was saying, you know, being scared about commitment is the
- 29:07Speaker 3: mom says, probably just because this is such a fast process.
- 29:10Speaker 3: And not that he has any fear of commitment, like
- 29:13Speaker 3: in general. And then he sits down with his dad
- 29:17Speaker 3: and they have this cute little convo about like, when
- 29:20Speaker 3: do you know that the person that you're with is
- 29:22Speaker 3: like the person that you should be with like forever,
- 29:25Speaker 3: like something that will last over thirty years, like you
- 29:27Speaker 3: and mom. And the guy just basically says, like, you
- 29:33Speaker 3: just know there's a feeling when you're with that person,
- 29:36Speaker 3: and the dad says that he says that he feels
- 29:39Speaker 3: like he sees that connection between the two of them,
- 29:42Speaker 3: and Xavier's saying that he feels like he can get
- 29:44Speaker 3: there with charity.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it's so funny. I was so mad at my
- 29:49Speaker 2: dad for years. And I've said on the podcast before,
- 29:52Speaker 2: but I asked him once, how do you know when
- 29:54Speaker 2: you found the right person? And his advice back to
- 29:57Speaker 2: me was when you know you know? And I I
- 30:00Speaker 2: said it, and I was like, that's such a terrible answer,
- 30:02Speaker 2: and I joke the cliche, you know, But then I
- 30:06Speaker 2: hear all of these people in my life and I
- 30:09Speaker 2: watch it on television like The Bachelorette, and I see
- 30:11Speaker 2: people who love their sons and daughters, and that question
- 30:15Speaker 2: is usually asked in hometowns in some way or another,
- 30:18Speaker 2: And it always can kind of be summed up with
- 30:20Speaker 2: that same thing when you know, you know, and I
- 30:25Speaker 2: say it was true for my own life, I'd say
- 30:26Speaker 2: it was true based on conversations you and I have
- 30:29Speaker 2: had about your relationship. It's it's actually a very sweet thing,
- 30:33Speaker 2: because how do you describe love and how do you
- 30:36Speaker 2: describe that you found somebody that you believe you can
- 30:38Speaker 2: spend the rest of your life with. You just know, yeah,
- 30:41Speaker 2: I know.
- 30:44Speaker 3: They leave and Charity says that she just feels like
- 30:48Speaker 3: their relationship is elevating and she's walking away so good,
- 30:51Speaker 3: so good that she says that she can see him
- 30:54Speaker 3: as her husband, And I'm like, holy crap, holye, who
- 30:58Speaker 3: is leaving actually knowing that Dowton is coming? And You're like, well,
- 31:02Speaker 3: he's a shoeling.
- 31:04Speaker 2: I just want to make sure that I state this again.
- 31:08Speaker 2: From week one, Xavier has been my top choice favorite.
- 31:12Speaker 3: You love him, I love him too. He's great.
- 31:15Speaker 2: I think he's great. I have no spoilers, I have
- 31:19Speaker 2: no information on how this plays out, but I have
- 31:22Speaker 2: said since week one I believe that Xavier will be
- 31:26Speaker 2: the one standing at the end. And I still will
- 31:29Speaker 2: say that to this day.
- 31:31Speaker 3: I still don't know how you can say that with Donton.
- 31:36Speaker 3: I'm sorry, but like, I don't know what it is
- 31:40Speaker 3: of me watching Charity and Dowton is like me watching
- 31:43Speaker 3: one of the greatest Bachelor love stories.
- 31:45Speaker 2: It's sweet.
- 31:47Speaker 3: I still think you're playing Devil's Out every week.
- 31:49Speaker 2: I'm not, and I'm fully aware that I could be
- 31:53Speaker 2: wrong here, and I'm with you that this could be
- 31:55Speaker 2: one of and at this point is one of the
- 31:58Speaker 2: Bachelor's greatest love stories from start to finish without any
- 32:04Speaker 2: issues along the way. But I think Xavier could be
- 32:11Speaker 2: that sneaky kind of There's just this theory that I
- 32:14Speaker 2: have in my head that there's no way the show
- 32:15Speaker 2: would make it this obvious for this long. But we're
- 32:17Speaker 2: getting far enough along in the show that I'm starting
- 32:21Speaker 2: to be convinced and know they just made it this
- 32:23Speaker 2: obvious for this long. But I've always been surprised at
- 32:27Speaker 2: some point, and with the relationship with Dotten, which we'll
- 32:30Speaker 2: get into right now, I have yet to have a
- 32:32Speaker 2: surprise where I'm like, no, this is just still really good.
- 32:36Speaker 3: So like there's just no drama you've never seen like
- 32:38Speaker 3: a drama free coupling in the end.
- 32:42Speaker 2: No, I don't know if I could remember one. I mean,
- 32:45Speaker 2: let's go back, let's just do this little game. Second,
- 32:48Speaker 2: remember Zach and Katie, great love story, tons of drama, tons,
- 32:53Speaker 2: Kaylan Sean come to mind, beautiful love story during the season.
- 32:57Speaker 2: They really especially being there that it felt right, you know,
- 33:01Speaker 2: it felt like it was gonna work. Tons. I mean,
- 33:04Speaker 2: the most dramatic ever.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Well, let's do another married couple Jojo and Jordan. They
- 33:11Speaker 3: are tons of drama there, tons of duma, them always
- 33:14Speaker 3: being like Jordan's here for the wrong reasons one.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Hundred and hometown are and the uh the date at
- 33:21Speaker 2: the very end with Robbie where the family was kind
- 33:23Speaker 2: of on Robbie's side saying I think guy like Robbie
- 33:27Speaker 2: and we're like, what are you thinking? And now we're yea,
- 33:29Speaker 2: now we're all like that was really bad.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Rachel and Brian, they convinced us she wanted Peter.
- 33:36Speaker 2: So it's just not the case where these love stories
- 33:39Speaker 2: play out without drama. And we're getting so far along
- 33:43Speaker 2: that drama I don't think is going to ensue and
- 33:47Speaker 2: we could be standing here being like, yeah, this couple
- 33:49Speaker 2: is just perfect for each other. I hope that's the case.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Let's go into his hometown. Though again, he's been at
- 33:55Speaker 2: the top of your list every week, He's been at
- 33:57Speaker 2: the top of most people's lists. People like him, people
- 33:59Speaker 2: enjoy people want to see his family where he comes from.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I remember on night one when he came in that
- 34:05Speaker 2: he said that most people in his life like like him,
- 34:09Speaker 2: like they kind of say that he is a likable guy.
- 34:13Speaker 2: And so obviously his family is very supportive and encouraging
- 34:17Speaker 2: because he believes that he is that man and I
- 34:20Speaker 2: think he is. So his family was an exciting one
- 34:25Speaker 2: for me to tune into.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Yeah, he is just the strong, silent type. There's definitely
- 34:30Speaker 3: a sex appeal about him. He's just like oods confidence.
- 34:35Speaker 3: And he tells her that it's such an unfortunate situation,
- 34:40Speaker 3: but her his parents are Nigeria. They go for four
- 34:44Speaker 3: to six weeks every year, and it just happens to
- 34:47Speaker 3: be this four to six weeks. They come over to
- 34:50Speaker 3: the house. The family's awesome. There seems so warm, really welcoming,
- 34:55Speaker 3: and then they go into the kitchen and meet his
- 34:58Speaker 3: grandma and this will and there's a gem to all
- 35:02Speaker 3: of us watching and to the earth. She's cooking up
- 35:05Speaker 3: a storm. She's too cute. She says that she sees
- 35:08Speaker 3: them as a match made in heaven right off the bat.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Now I want to get hers wording perfectly cricsuse. I
- 35:14Speaker 2: think it's so sweet. She said that she believes that
- 35:19Speaker 2: they are a match bonded from.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Heap, bonded in heaven.
- 35:23Speaker 2: That's beautiful, so gorgeous.
- 35:27Speaker 3: They go outside to eat and then his parents show up.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I'm wondering. I'm like, ABC, you guys
- 35:36Speaker 3: better have sent them first class back home, and you
- 35:39Speaker 3: better be setting them first class back to Nigeria so
- 35:43Speaker 3: that like, yeah, because this is a commitment, you know,
- 35:47Speaker 3: like that's their their time there, that's what they're I'm
- 35:50Speaker 3: sure their extended family is. And they took a lot
- 35:55Speaker 3: of effort and probably money with a like halfway across
- 35:59Speaker 3: the world flight flight change.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Yes, it's not a short flight, that is a big flight.
- 36:04Speaker 2: I hope ABC treated them so well, but it is
- 36:08Speaker 2: so sweet to see them come in to see the
- 36:11Speaker 2: surprise and to have them there because you can tell
- 36:14Speaker 2: that Doton really really wants their input. And how weird
- 36:19Speaker 2: would it be if this all plays out like we
- 36:21Speaker 2: expected to and he never gets their input because they're
- 36:24Speaker 2: obviously a close family, it would be odd. So this
- 36:28Speaker 2: is beautiful.
- 36:30Speaker 3: Ben. I was so stressed that she wasn't going to
- 36:32Speaker 3: meet them because I knew how important it was to her.
- 36:35Speaker 3: Because I really, even though it's tricky at this point,
- 36:38Speaker 3: I really see the two of them together. I think
- 36:39Speaker 3: she does too, And she was like, I can't believe
- 36:42Speaker 3: that I'm going to get engaged in not having met
- 36:44Speaker 3: his parents, and now it's happening, they meet, it goes
- 36:47Speaker 3: over really well. He says that his mom is often
- 36:50Speaker 3: tough on the ladies he brings home, but she definitely
- 36:54Speaker 3: gets the stamp of approval and beyond when she says
- 36:59Speaker 3: that she's part of the family already, She's like already
- 37:02Speaker 3: accepted her as a daughter. I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 37:06Speaker 3: I got goose bumps when she said that. Anything.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Do you think they're seeing the same thing we're seeing? Like,
- 37:12Speaker 2: do you think her parents, because I mean from week one,
- 37:16Speaker 2: you were saying, hey, this is it and I wasn't convinced.
- 37:18Speaker 2: I'm still not convinced that it's gonna end up like
- 37:21Speaker 2: you think it will. But I you know, it's obviously
- 37:24Speaker 2: a good relationship. His parents know him well obviously, do
- 37:28Speaker 2: you think like immediately they can just be in the
- 37:31Speaker 2: presence of the two of them be like, yeah, this
- 37:34Speaker 2: is this is special, I think.
- 37:36Speaker 3: So I hope so for the woman to say, like,
- 37:40Speaker 3: I accept you as family. And she said, I have
- 37:42Speaker 3: a wedding for you that I am already basically mentally
- 37:47Speaker 3: planning for you in Nigeria. Uh yeah, she obviously sees it.
- 37:52Speaker 3: She literally said, if you choose my son, I will
- 37:55Speaker 3: have a huge wedding for you.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Come on, let's go.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Well it's so freaking cute. Everything about this is amazing.
- 38:03Speaker 3: And the grandma just like hurt just her presence every
- 38:05Speaker 3: time she's on the screen amazing And I have to
- 38:07Speaker 3: like just talk about the little clip at the end
- 38:10Speaker 3: of the credits when the mom gives her gifts, so
- 38:14Speaker 3: she's giving charity gifts. She gives her a necklace like
- 38:16Speaker 3: a dress, all from Africa, and then at the end
- 38:20Speaker 3: she goes this beaded thing. She goes, that's for you
- 38:23Speaker 3: putting around your waist in the bedroom. And then the
- 38:27Speaker 3: sister goes, my mother, you'll learn is very giving.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Funny's so cute. All right, So love this love everything
- 38:38Speaker 3: about it seriously goosebumps at multiple scenes. And then they
- 38:41Speaker 3: go to the drive in movies and they have kind
- 38:45Speaker 3: of what we saw last season with Rachel and Zach,
- 38:48Speaker 3: where it's like a movie of the two of them
- 38:51Speaker 3: throughout time and at the end there's pictures of the
- 38:53Speaker 3: two of them together and Charity is just like so emotional. Hm.
- 38:58Speaker 2: I like this date. Do you remember? I like this
- 39:00Speaker 2: date last season. I think this could be a staple date.
- 39:03Speaker 2: I like seeing the pictures. I like seeing the reaction.
- 39:06Speaker 2: I think it's very real, it's very cute. I could
- 39:09Speaker 2: watch this date most seasons because I think it brings
- 39:12Speaker 2: out like a vulnerability too between the two people connection.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Yeah. And when you go over to Jesse's house, do
- 39:20Speaker 3: you like looking at old pictures of her old photo albums? Uh?
- 39:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I did, just I did actually this trip because
- 39:26Speaker 2: we were there for a baby shower and so we're
- 39:28Speaker 2: pulling out old baby pictures and see the best you've
- 39:31Speaker 2: learned about you mean you learn about them, right? You
- 39:33Speaker 2: learn about how you know the experiences they had?
- 39:36Speaker 3: Yes, you tell stories. Yeah, it's great based on the photos.
- 39:39Speaker 3: It's an easy convo starter.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Definitely all right.
- 39:44Speaker 3: Well, then Charity goes and talks to Jesse, who, like
- 39:46Speaker 3: I was saying, I was expecting Chris and the bottom,
- 39:51Speaker 3: you know. To sum up this conversation, it's holy crap.
- 39:55Speaker 3: I pretty much, I pretty much cold say. I'm falling
- 39:57Speaker 3: in love with all four of these guys, and every
- 40:00Speaker 3: hometown was wonderful. I see them all as husband material,
- 40:04Speaker 3: and it just confuses us more as to who she's
- 40:06Speaker 3: going to eliminate.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Well, I think at this point I'm still convinced Aaron's
- 40:10Speaker 2: going home. The only reason I say that is because
- 40:12Speaker 2: nobody moved down this week other than possibly Joey. Yeah, sure,
- 40:18Speaker 2: down other than Joey. But I didn't think it was
- 40:20Speaker 2: enough to send him home. I know, And I've I've
- 40:23Speaker 2: thought for two weeks, now, more than two weeks that
- 40:26Speaker 2: at some point Aaron was going home. And so I
- 40:28Speaker 2: think I've just had this build in idea that Aaron
- 40:30Speaker 2: was going home. Even though you're right, all four of
- 40:33Speaker 2: them this week, shine bright, they pull it off.
- 40:38Speaker 3: What you have to do is just think like, Okay,
- 40:40Speaker 3: is it Aaron that like got me this week? Or
- 40:43Speaker 3: is it Aaron's family that got me? And really it
- 40:47Speaker 3: was it was the whole family experience.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Sure that makes sense. Yeah, well, the conversation with Jesse,
- 40:54Speaker 2: it feels very similar to conversations in the past. This
- 40:58Speaker 2: is there's a moment every sea that I love and
- 41:00Speaker 2: I don't know why I love it. Actually, I love
- 41:02Speaker 2: when the people walk into the Rose ceremony after hometowns
- 41:07Speaker 2: and after Fantasy Suites because I believe we're kind of
- 41:12Speaker 2: looking at the hall of fame of the season and
- 41:16Speaker 2: it's a very relaxed vibe. When Jesse greets them and
- 41:18Speaker 2: they say hello, Jesse, and how are you. I'm doing good.
- 41:21Speaker 2: You know, it's less It just feels more into a.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Game show moment.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Yes, it's that's it. It's less of a game show
- 41:29Speaker 2: moment and more of a personal like, Hey, I remember
- 41:32Speaker 2: these moments from your season, and it's gonna be weird
- 41:35Speaker 2: now for me to see you go home because we
- 41:37Speaker 2: have connected with you as a contestant and we have
- 41:39Speaker 2: connected with your relationship with Charity. It is less of
- 41:42Speaker 2: a game show moment. It is more personal and there's
- 41:46Speaker 2: I just really like the entries. It's weird, but I
- 41:49Speaker 2: like the entries.
- 41:50Speaker 3: I do too bad, I do too And I love
- 41:55Speaker 3: it when they do a rose ceremony at this airport, airplace, hangar,
- 42:01Speaker 3: wherever this might be. It really adds to the drama
- 42:04Speaker 3: and just like the sexiness to it all, sure does
- 42:08Speaker 3: all right. Well, when we see Aeron go home and
- 42:11Speaker 3: he was very emotional, he says that he's like holding
- 42:14Speaker 3: back tears and oh, it really got he got me.
- 42:18Speaker 3: You know, this episode he got me and he hasn't
- 42:21Speaker 3: got me all season.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Well, I think it's an emotional exit for him. I
- 42:24Speaker 2: think he really likes Charity. I think some of his
- 42:29Speaker 2: behavior in the you know, protection of Charity and the
- 42:33Speaker 2: kind of like the anti Braden camp leading that I
- 42:37Speaker 2: think did come from a place where he just really
- 42:39Speaker 2: liked Charity, and I wasn't convinced of that most of
- 42:42Speaker 2: the season. I think this episode really solidified that a
- 42:45Speaker 2: lot of that kind of protection came from the fact
- 42:46Speaker 2: that he really believed that him and Charity could be
- 42:48Speaker 2: together and should be together at the end, which is
- 42:53Speaker 2: tough to see him go home, but it's also I
- 42:56Speaker 2: do think the one relationship that was most expected to
- 43:01Speaker 2: end it was it.
- 43:03Speaker 3: Was and I just really want to see him like
- 43:06Speaker 3: have success in Paradise now.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Oh, I think he Will. I think he's gonna gonna
- 43:10Speaker 2: be great, but Aaron b Is going home, which leads
- 43:12Speaker 2: us leaves us with Doughton, Xavier, and Joey. Moving into
- 43:17Speaker 2: the next week, which is Fantasy Suits Week. It is
- 43:20Speaker 2: always an interesting week. There always seems to be something
- 43:23Speaker 2: pop up in Fantasy Suites Week that is shocking, surprising, different,
- 43:30Speaker 2: and it has helped most relationships on this show either
- 43:34Speaker 2: be solidified or end and we can pull back many
- 43:37Speaker 2: moments in Bachelor history for that well, actually we do
- 43:40Speaker 2: have Bachelor headlines to get to. This has been another
- 43:42Speaker 2: breakdown of Charity season of The Bachelor.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Right.
- 43:44Speaker 2: We're loving this episode, Ashley between Joey and Xavier, which
- 43:48Speaker 2: one falls second, because I know where you feel is first.
- 43:51Speaker 3: Then what I don't know? I don't know, and I'm
- 43:54Speaker 3: having fun with the fact that I don't know. I
- 43:57Speaker 3: just put a wild goose out, especially to humor you
- 44:01Speaker 3: and say that Xavier gets farther than Joey because maybe
- 44:03Speaker 3: the Joey thing. Next week, something weird happens. I also
- 44:07Speaker 3: am very curious to know who shows up that Charity
- 44:11Speaker 3: is mind blown by her brother. Oh you think so,
- 44:16Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 44:16Speaker 2: We'll see Hey, it's signed for Bachelor headlines. Let's jump
- 44:18Speaker 2: into it. The first headline is this Bachelor in Paradise.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Is Raven and Adam revealed baby number two's name?
- 44:28Speaker 1: Yes?
- 44:28Speaker 3: They also they also released the sex because we didn't
- 44:32Speaker 3: know if it was a girl or boy once you
- 44:33Speaker 3: get at birth last week it is Max Asa gotstock
- 44:38Speaker 3: and the baby boy obviously is was eight pounds, two
- 44:42Speaker 3: outs one ounce when he was born last Monday wasn't
- 44:48Speaker 3: Sunday or Monday. Yeah, so, oh my god. You have
- 44:51Speaker 3: to see Raven's instagram for just the cutest videos of Gates,
- 44:56Speaker 3: who's one and a half, interact with baby Max. Really
- 45:00Speaker 3: two freaking cute.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Very sweet. Well, next headline is this Serena Pitt reveals
- 45:06Speaker 2: why no Bachelor Nation stars were at her bachelorette party.
- 45:11Speaker 3: It's not very dramatic, guys, It's just that she's like, hey,
- 45:16Speaker 3: guess what. I went on The Bachelor two and a
- 45:18Speaker 3: half years ago. I was close to those girls, but
- 45:21Speaker 3: these are the crew of my closest friends, most of
- 45:25Speaker 3: whom I've known for eight plus years. So I will
- 45:29Speaker 3: have Bachelor Nation friends at the wedding, but this was
- 45:33Speaker 3: my core group.
- 45:34Speaker 2: That makes sense. Well, That's all the headlines we have
- 45:36Speaker 2: for you today. A very quiet week in Bachelor Nation.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Not a lot of drama, not a lot of stories happening,
- 45:42Speaker 2: but we'll have more next week. I'm sure they always
- 45:45Speaker 2: are existing. But until next week, I've been Ben, I've
- 45:49Speaker 2: been Ashley.
- 45:49Speaker 3: See you guys.
