Preston Pierce’s trial for the 2022 kidnapping and murder of Gretchen Fleming is delayed again as his new legal team requests months to review massive evidence piles, pushing the next status hearing to October 26th—when a trial date may finally be set. The case began when a hunter found her remains in Wirt County last fall, and Pierce was arrested in May after being indicted by a Wood County grand jury.
