- 0:16Speaker 2: I have no idea, but hey, that's Will.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Right.
- 0:19Speaker 2: He's not even paying attention.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I mean he's literally he's eating like a from a trough. Okay,
- 0:26Speaker 1: handle on the news with Amy Neil and me. He's
- 0:31Speaker 1: also snorting. I think, well he's eating. Okay, go ahead and.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Now handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen. Here's Bill Handle.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Yup. It certainly is good morning everybody. Tuesday morning, October fourteen.
- 0:50Speaker 1: You bet you it's Taco Tuesday. You don't haven't had
- 0:55Speaker 1: tacos in a while on Tuesday? But oh, the President
- 0:58Speaker 1: is back in Washington, d C. I mean, he only
- 1:02Speaker 1: spent a few hours in Tel Aviv and a few
- 1:05Speaker 1: hours in Cairo.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Just got right back on his airplane.
- 1:08Speaker 1: I mean, can you imagine spending that much time in
- 1:11Speaker 1: an airplane?
- 1:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's brutal, isn't it. Oh?
- 1:15Speaker 1: Yeah, he has a full bedroom and a bathroom aboard.
- 1:19Speaker 1: The plane is basically a big hotel room. So it's
- 1:22Speaker 1: not bad to go that way anyway, good morning, Cono.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Good morning Bill.
- 1:27Speaker 4: And also it's sorry I then to cut you off
- 1:29Speaker 4: at your show. But is my wife's birthday, so I
- 1:31Speaker 4: have to say happy birthday to my life.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Oh yeah, all right, how old is she?
- 1:34Speaker 3: She's in her strong thirties.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, how old are you?
- 1:40Speaker 4: Kno, also in my strong thirties. I'm thirty six, but
- 1:44Speaker 4: on Saturday, I'm thirty seven. Oh okay, so your age appropriate? Yes,
- 1:50Speaker 4: not like you.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I was about to say unlike certain people that
- 1:54Speaker 1: we know. Okay, Neil, good morning. Yes, yes, that was good.
- 2:00Speaker 1: That was good will, welcome back. You are not eating
- 2:03Speaker 1: What a miracle that is?
- 2:05Speaker 3: Oh, good morning.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I had no idea.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Apparently I was being Yeah you were stuff in your face,
- 2:09Speaker 1: so oh you were.
- 2:10Speaker 5: Beating totally normal, Thank you. He has issues because his
- 2:14Speaker 5: parents hated him.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Yeah, that's probably not just my parents either. I mean,
- 2:20Speaker 1: let's go through the list, and we only have a
- 2:23Speaker 1: four hour, three hour show.
- 2:24Speaker 3: They passed that down to the rest of us.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true, and good morning.
- 2:30Speaker 2: There you go.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Okay, and Amy, good morning of course, wearing Dodger blue
- 2:34Speaker 1: of course, of course, good morning.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Hey, good morning, Amy. Do you view the Dodgers as
- 2:39Speaker 2: your team.
- 2:40Speaker 6: Yes, they belong to me.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Okay, let me point something out and people go, oh,
- 2:44Speaker 1: our team has won.
- 2:46Speaker 2: You know it really isn't your team.
- 2:48Speaker 1: What because you and you see you pay big money
- 2:52Speaker 1: to go to the games. If it was your team,
- 2:56Speaker 1: you wouldn't pay. See how that works. If I own something,
- 3:01Speaker 1: I do not pay to attend. I charge people to attend.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I just wanted to point that out. My team Cape Verde,
- 3:10Speaker 1: wherever they hell, cape Verdi is just got into the
- 3:13Speaker 1: World Cup and that entire the entire arena.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Exploded because it's their team.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Of course, people spent their life savings to get into
- 3:23Speaker 1: the game, but it's their team.
- 3:26Speaker 2: So just saying, okay, they.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Two of the peace, well the not so much peace,
- 3:36Speaker 1: but the agreement, the ceasefire in Israel and Gaza, particularly
- 3:42Speaker 1: in Gaza, and the live hostages were returned. There's twenty
- 3:47Speaker 1: six who are deceased, and the bodies have to come
- 3:52Speaker 1: back so the family can act, its families can bury
- 3:55Speaker 1: their loved ones because the bodies were held this hostage
- 3:59Speaker 1: a bunch of cockroaches.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Haba says, regarding that.
- 4:03Speaker 1: And we're hearing now that it may take weeks to
- 4:06Speaker 1: return those bodies, and so DNA has to be done
- 4:12Speaker 1: to determine whether or not those are the people, and
- 4:17Speaker 1: a lot of them, well or Hamas says, a lot
- 4:19Speaker 1: of them are under the rubble because a lot of
- 4:22Speaker 1: people died.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Sixty seven thousand people died and.
- 4:25Speaker 1: There were targets that we now know that hit. Obviously
- 4:32Speaker 1: Hamas fighters who are holding on to hostages. Okay, I
- 4:41Speaker 1: just asked Anne if it was raining in Burbank and
- 4:45Speaker 1: the answer is yes.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Is it coming down pretty hard?
- 4:49Speaker 3: Oh?
- 4:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it's coming down really hard here.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Okay, I'm in Orange County. It has not yet come down.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I just went outside nothing and Anne was saying that
- 5:00Speaker 1: her dog this morning had to poop at one thirty
- 5:03Speaker 1: am and had to go outside. Was not happy about it.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I've got a couple and they're not going to be
- 5:09Speaker 1: happy about it. And it is for those of you
- 5:13Speaker 1: that have dogs, you know what I'm talking about. It
- 5:15Speaker 1: is disgusting picking up dog poop in the rain and.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Why it's all nice and warm. I bet no, it's not.
- 5:23Speaker 1: And I feel really bad for Lindsey who is going
- 5:26Speaker 1: to be picking it up.
- 5:28Speaker 6: You didn't hire somebody to do that. I know you
- 5:30Speaker 6: can pay people to do that.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I know you can, well not one o'clock in the morning,
- 5:33Speaker 1: and well it can sit there until the morning. Why
- 5:36Speaker 1: would I hire people? Oh, come on, what a message is?
- 5:39Speaker 1: Why would I hire people when I have lindsay, because
- 5:44Speaker 1: I'll tell you something. It is our dog poop, and
- 5:48Speaker 1: so we deal with it, much like a baseball team.
- 5:51Speaker 2: When it is.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Yours, you deal with it. How's that for an analogy?
- 5:55Speaker 1: Dog poop Dodgers you have? I like that analogy and
- 6:00Speaker 1: you can't do that.
- 6:02Speaker 5: Yes, anything with dog poop and the Dodgers, I know, poop,
- 6:07Speaker 5: elevator or anything you could get. There's no I don't
- 6:11Speaker 5: know which people do.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Get a butt butler, Yeah, put it they I'll tell
- 6:17Speaker 1: you what they do. They put it into Anne's yard.
- 6:20Speaker 1: That's what we do. Okay there, Yeah, it doesn't matter.
- 6:24Speaker 1: All right, guys, We've got a rainy day and a
- 6:28Speaker 1: lot of news to share.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Let's do it. It's time for Handle on.
- 6:32Speaker 1: The News with Amy Neil and me lead story. We
- 6:39Speaker 1: were talking about the rain flash flood flood watches being
- 6:43Speaker 1: issued for most of southern California. The storm has hit
- 6:47Speaker 1: in many places, has not yet come down to Orange County,
- 6:50Speaker 1: but it will. And we've got the flash flood warning
- 6:55Speaker 1: coming from the National Weather Service, which happens to have
- 6:59Speaker 1: one person left working there, so who's very, very busy
- 7:03Speaker 1: the janitor. Yeah, areas burned by wildfires previous wildfires are
- 7:08Speaker 1: the highest risk, of course, of flooding. And it's virtually
- 7:13Speaker 1: every county in southern California and Big Bear Neil. There's
- 7:19Speaker 1: going to be big rains. Do you know yet if
- 7:22Speaker 1: it's going to be snows?
- 7:23Speaker 5: It doesn't look like it from what I've seen, but
- 7:27Speaker 5: and I keep, you know, we've got cameras and everything
- 7:29Speaker 5: up there.
- 7:29Speaker 6: But what's the elevation in Big Bear?
- 7:32Speaker 3: It's about six eighty I think.
- 7:37Speaker 6: Thou eighty. So the forecast yesterday at least sixty eight
- 7:42Speaker 6: it was saying that they were expecting snow down to
- 7:44Speaker 6: about six thousand feet. Oh so you might get some Yeah.
- 7:48Speaker 3: That's pretty Yeah. They just found a leak in the
- 7:50Speaker 3: roof too, so I'm thrilled.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good in this rain. All right, we're going
- 7:56Speaker 1: to deal with that most of the day. How long
- 7:59Speaker 1: is this storm going to sit over southern California?
- 8:03Speaker 2: And is it moving quickly or is it just parked
- 8:06Speaker 2: it's going.
- 8:06Speaker 6: To move out by tonight. The heaviest of the rains
- 8:08Speaker 6: expected this afternoon. And you mentioned the flash flood advisors.
- 8:13Speaker 6: There are a few evacuation orders in Palisades, but they're
- 8:18Speaker 6: going door to door and alerting those people. Most most
- 8:21Speaker 6: people are under warnings in the burn scar areas.
- 8:23Speaker 1: What do you mean the Pacific Palisades, they're going door
- 8:26Speaker 1: to door with their repd is going.
- 8:28Speaker 6: There's like a hundred homes that are under evacuation order
- 8:32Speaker 6: because of the threat of mudslife.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Yes, because I was just pointing out it's really a
- 8:38Speaker 1: waste of time to knock on empty lots and to
- 8:43Speaker 1: try to get people off the lots.
- 8:45Speaker 6: I'm guessing it's in the homes that didn't burn.
- 8:48Speaker 5: Oh okay, all right, thank you that you imagine nine
- 8:52Speaker 5: months or so after everything burned and you're one hundred
- 8:56Speaker 5: houses left, and now you've got to evacuate for water.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I say hello to you, Will. I think I did,
- 9:02Speaker 1: didn't I all right?
- 9:03Speaker 4: Right?
- 9:03Speaker 2: That's that is how important Will.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Is than me so much.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I say hello, and thirty seconds later I forget.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Remember I'm not stuffing my face today that you pointed.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Out, Oh you know, you're right. I know you're right. Okay,
- 9:16Speaker 2: moving on.
- 9:18Speaker 3: You're particularly distracted this morning.
- 9:20Speaker 6: You know, I am the dog poop in the backyard.
- 9:23Speaker 2: It's not mine.
- 9:25Speaker 5: This is like your thirteenth topic today and we're like
- 9:28Speaker 5: thirteen minutes in.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Yep.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Can't you train the dog to use the toilet?
- 9:33Speaker 2: I gotta be honest. I saw this coming before the
- 9:35Speaker 2: show started.
- 9:37Speaker 3: To talk to him.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, moving on, Yeah, on.
- 9:41Speaker 6: To phase two. President Trump and other world leaders have
- 9:45Speaker 6: signed the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement during
- 9:49Speaker 6: a summit in Egypt, after the Israeli hostages were released.
- 9:54Speaker 6: Palestinian prisoners and detainees were also released. To the tune
- 9:59Speaker 6: of about two thous so, President Trump, Egypt's president El
- 10:04Speaker 6: Csi qatars Emir, and Turkey's President Erduwan put their signatures
- 10:09Speaker 6: on the document that sealed the first phase of the
- 10:12Speaker 6: ceasefire deal. They say, Trump says, we achieved what everybody
- 10:16Speaker 6: said was impossible. At long last, we have peace in
- 10:19Speaker 6: the Middle East.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Well, I think there are some caveats, one of them
- 10:24Speaker 1: disarming Hamas.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I don't think it's going to disarm.
- 10:28Speaker 1: It's already moved in as soon as the Israelis moved out,
- 10:34Speaker 1: the Israeli Defense forces moved out. They now are about
- 10:38Speaker 1: fifty percent of Gaza occupying Gaza.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Militarily, they were at almost one hundred percent.
- 10:46Speaker 1: As they move out, Hamas moves in and they are
- 10:49Speaker 1: executing people. And there were groups that were helping Israel
- 10:54Speaker 1: fight Hamas. And I don't think Hamas is going to
- 10:59Speaker 1: give up their webs. And so then the next step
- 11:01Speaker 1: is what does Israel do?
- 11:03Speaker 2: Does Israel go back in and attack?
- 11:06Speaker 1: And Toyaho says that there's still a threat, an existential
- 11:11Speaker 1: threat to Israel's existence.
- 11:13Speaker 2: I don't know. Well, no, on.
- 11:18Speaker 5: That note, two former presidents came out with proper class
- 11:24Speaker 5: and Biden and Clinton came out and congratulated Trump specifically
- 11:28Speaker 5: gave him praise for the achievement of the ceasefire and
- 11:32Speaker 5: the returning of the hostages. Rightly so, but also classy,
- 11:38Speaker 5: and as far as President Trump was concerned, he said
- 11:44Speaker 5: that it was very nice. Actually right, he did.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Clinton, he thanked specifically, he thanked Joe Biden, the worst
- 11:50Speaker 1: president in the history of the United States, for the
- 11:53Speaker 1: kind words.
- 11:56Speaker 5: Yeah, that's he's an.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Yes he is.
- 12:03Speaker 6: Well, apparently the blame game is not going to play
- 12:06Speaker 6: for the TFA. Several major US airports are refusing to
- 12:11Speaker 6: play a video given to them by Secretary of Homeland
- 12:16Speaker 6: Security Christy Noam. The video is intended to play in
- 12:20Speaker 6: security lines, and Noome says it's TSA's top priority to
- 12:24Speaker 6: make sure you have the most pleasant and efficient airport
- 12:27Speaker 6: experiences possible while we keep you safe. That all sounds great, right,
- 12:31Speaker 6: Then she goes on to say, however, Democrats in Congress
- 12:33Speaker 6: refuse to fund the federal government. Because of this, many
- 12:36Speaker 6: of our operations are impacted and most of our TSA
- 12:39Speaker 6: employees are working without pay.
- 12:41Speaker 2: That is astounding.
- 12:43Speaker 1: I have never heard of an informational video that tells people, hey,
- 12:49Speaker 1: we've got some delays, thank you for your cooperation. Without
- 12:55Speaker 1: that said, and by the way, it's the Democrat's fault
- 12:57Speaker 1: or it's the Republican's fault. I've everything is politicized, I
- 13:02Speaker 1: will tell you is politicized.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Astounding isn't even the word.
- 13:06Speaker 5: It is just it is mind boggling that we've gotten
- 13:10Speaker 5: to that point.
- 13:11Speaker 3: I want them to say, oh yeah.
- 13:13Speaker 5: And also the crappy leg room Democrats, thanks Obama. It's
- 13:19Speaker 5: like everything is going to be yeah, no more no
- 13:23Speaker 5: more free sodas, no more peanuts, thanks Democrats.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's just crazy.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Well, and another story going along those lines, Neil, this
- 13:32Speaker 1: is a Pentagon story.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Oh yes, wait, so multiple multiple news outlets, uh say
- 13:40Speaker 5: this is very similar say that they won't sign the
- 13:42Speaker 5: new Pentagon rules on access. And this is, you know,
- 13:47Speaker 5: not just the ones you might think. You've got news
- 13:50Speaker 5: organization organizations like the New York Times, you got the AP,
- 13:55Speaker 5: even the conservative Newsmax television network said that they're not
- 13:59Speaker 5: going to sign the Defense departments new document on new
- 14:02Speaker 5: press rules that they're kind of strange. So you've got
- 14:06Speaker 5: Defense Secretary Pete Haigseth saying that they've got to sign
- 14:11Speaker 5: this thing that allows the Pentagon to pull their passes.
- 14:16Speaker 5: They have limited access unless they are guided with kind
- 14:21Speaker 5: of a tour guide.
- 14:22Speaker 3: And so journalists are saying, no, this is we're journalists.
- 14:27Speaker 5: We are here to observe, not under you know, the
- 14:30Speaker 5: guidance of you, but what we need to observe.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and rightly, so beyond that, Pet's Headvenk said that
- 14:37Speaker 1: you don't write anything that I have not, okayed, Yeah
- 14:41Speaker 1: you can't, I mean I can't. Well not right about
- 14:44Speaker 1: but he's he's saying to the Pentagon employees and the
- 14:47Speaker 1: press office, you clear everything with me, now, you know.
- 14:51Speaker 5: I mean, that's fine for your own people, you just
- 14:54Speaker 5: can't say it to the press.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:57Speaker 6: Well, it's a little bit of a tip for when
- 15:00Speaker 6: it comes to port fees. The US and China are
- 15:05Speaker 6: charging each other additional port fees that move everything from
- 15:09Speaker 6: holiday toys to crude oil, making the High Seas a
- 15:12Speaker 6: key front in the trade war between the world's two
- 15:15Speaker 6: largest economies.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Yeah, back and forth doesn't stop one hundred percent tariffs
- 15:21Speaker 1: new tariffs on China as of a couple of days ago.
- 15:25Speaker 1: China turns around, does the same thing back every day.
- 15:28Speaker 2: It's different.
- 15:30Speaker 1: We're your favorite dish is moo googai tariff now, and
- 15:35Speaker 1: China is reducing its output of rare earth, which we
- 15:40Speaker 1: need desperately for cell phones and evs and all kinds
- 15:45Speaker 1: of electronics. And so we'll see how it plays out.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Both sides wanted to reassure traders and investors because these
- 15:55Speaker 1: terriffs back and forth are going to royal the world economy,
- 16:00Speaker 1: not just ours and theirs.
- 16:04Speaker 5: All right, Immigrants rights groups are thrilled about this, This
- 16:09Speaker 5: new bill that Newsome signed. It's controversial in a lot
- 16:13Speaker 5: of ways, but it basically allows relatives to care for
- 16:17Speaker 5: kids if parents are deported. Their relative's part is sort
- 16:21Speaker 5: of in quotes because some people feel that it's so
- 16:25Speaker 5: loose that it could actually endanger children, and the others say, no,
- 16:29Speaker 5: they need protection if their parents are taken away.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Yeah, what's the.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Alternative for those people that are against this?
- 16:36Speaker 1: I understand they just have to tighten it up, but
- 16:38Speaker 1: I don't know what that means. If you have kids
- 16:41Speaker 1: who no longer have parents in the country, and let's
- 16:44Speaker 1: say the kids are minors and the parents elect to
- 16:50Speaker 1: keep them in the United States, or even worse, the
- 16:52Speaker 1: parents are deported overnight, they're picked up and they don't
- 16:56Speaker 1: even have a chance to contact their kids.
- 17:00Speaker 2: It's or family members.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Why wouldn't the law allowed family members to take the
- 17:06Speaker 1: place of parents, And that's what this is about.
- 17:08Speaker 5: Yeah, but social work normally would do that. So I'm
- 17:11Speaker 5: wondering why this is in addition to Yeah, let me ask.
- 17:14Speaker 2: You, and this is what we should ask Tracy.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Does is the social work backlog so overwhelming that you've
- 17:23Speaker 1: got kids that are in limbo?
- 17:26Speaker 2: And what happens and I don't know the answer.
- 17:30Speaker 3: I wouldn't know. I'm not going to wake her up.
- 17:33Speaker 1: White not.
- 17:34Speaker 3: I fear my wife. She's a Latina.
- 17:38Speaker 2: She is, and you're a Latino.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Yes, believe it or not.
- 17:44Speaker 6: Musk says, I think it's a good idea. He wants
- 17:48Speaker 6: the troops deployed to San Francisco. He and Salesforces CEO
- 17:54Speaker 6: Marc Benioff have called for federal troops to be sent
- 17:58Speaker 6: to San Francisco. Musk grow on x it's really the
- 18:02Speaker 6: only solution at this point. Nothing has or will work.
- 18:07Speaker 6: And it's in response to a Voice of San Francisco's
- 18:11Speaker 6: survey that says about eighty percent of San Francisco wants
- 18:16Speaker 6: federal intervention because of drug dealers. They say that fentanyl
- 18:20Speaker 6: scourge has gotten out of control and they need federal
- 18:23Speaker 6: intervention to fix it.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Makes sense. I'm going to do a story. Well I'm
- 18:30Speaker 2: not going.
- 18:30Speaker 4: To do it.
- 18:30Speaker 2: I was going to do it.
- 18:31Speaker 1: The wave of retirements and how it's everything has just changed,
- 18:38Speaker 1: and so what we have to do is militarize every city.
- 18:45Speaker 2: And that's scary as hell. Well, yeah, if.
- 18:50Speaker 5: It speaks to how far we've gone let things slide
- 18:54Speaker 5: into the abyss, the sister in law. This is a
- 18:58Speaker 5: weird story. A former Senator Mitt Romney, her name's Carrie
- 19:02Speaker 5: Elizabeth Romney found dead near a Santa Clarita shopping mall
- 19:07Speaker 5: on Friday. And they don't know exactly that the cause
- 19:11Speaker 5: of death. They're investigating all this. But she's sixty four
- 19:15Speaker 5: years old and she either fell or jumped, they say,
- 19:20Speaker 5: from a five story parking structure.
- 19:24Speaker 1: And I'm assuming that they don't have witnesses or they
- 19:29Speaker 1: have a video security video, and it's pretty easy to
- 19:33Speaker 1: tell if someone takes a swine dive or is pushed.
- 19:36Speaker 3: But they have to do toxic college tests.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Yeah, of course, she's only sixty four years old and
- 19:42Speaker 1: lives in Valencia, which is local.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Completely.
- 19:50Speaker 6: Guess what's costing you more these days? Coffee, burgers, burritos,
- 19:56Speaker 6: what else is there? And guess what prices are going
- 19:59Speaker 6: to go up? Even more? Restaurant groups say they might
- 20:01Speaker 6: have to raise prices by thirty percent justice stay profitable
- 20:06Speaker 6: amid rising costs. A new survey shows nearly half of
- 20:10Speaker 6: restaurant operators say they plan to increase menu prices if inflation, tariffs,
- 20:15Speaker 6: and labor costs continue to climb.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:18Speaker 1: White House just released a statement saying, we have to
- 20:21Speaker 1: figure out how Joe Biden is responsible for all of
- 20:25Speaker 1: these price hikes.
- 20:28Speaker 5: Maybe they're going to put those on the kiosks now
- 20:31Speaker 5: like they're trying to do the TSA. Notice this, this
- 20:34Speaker 5: burger is brought to you by the Biden administration.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Yeah. Now my question is, legitimately is how is this
- 20:41Speaker 1: going to affect the mid terms?
- 20:43Speaker 2: Because people vote with their wallets. It's that simple.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Donald Trump's primary win was based not so much on immigration,
- 20:52Speaker 1: but on inflation.
- 20:53Speaker 2: That was the majority. I think that or the issue
- 20:58Speaker 2: that caused the win.
- 21:01Speaker 5: You don't think immigration was at the forefront for his No,
- 21:05Speaker 5: I think inflation was more important.
- 21:07Speaker 6: Well, inflation was huge, Yeah, I mean I think Trump
- 21:12Speaker 6: hasn't brought it back down. No, the crisis went up.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Yeah they did, No, they did. No, there's no question
- 21:18Speaker 1: that under Biden. I mean, we hit nine percent inflation,
- 21:22Speaker 1: which is just astronomical.
- 21:25Speaker 2: But we were on the downside. But it doesn't matter.
- 21:28Speaker 1: It was already baked in, and so Biden got the
- 21:32Speaker 1: blame no matter what, like Obama got the blame for
- 21:37Speaker 1: this horrific economy. He inherited and he inherited it. And
- 21:44Speaker 1: that's right, thanks Obama. Damn it, no question about it,
- 21:48Speaker 1: all right.
- 21:48Speaker 5: The Tennessee plant explosion just a horrible story. The investigation
- 21:54Speaker 5: continues to go on fatal blast, and it looks like
- 21:58Speaker 5: they are have so much to go through. It's going
- 22:01Speaker 5: to take more and more time to figure out what
- 22:03Speaker 5: exactly happened. And this Tennessee facility specialized in making military explosions.
- 22:11Speaker 5: Sixteen people were killed in this mass what they call
- 22:14Speaker 5: a mass detonation, so very very significant. You've got a
- 22:21Speaker 5: bunch of experts involved, and seismic readings hundreds of miles
- 22:26Speaker 5: away from this one explosion, so you can imagine how
- 22:30Speaker 5: concussive and insane it was.
- 22:35Speaker 6: Inequality is out. Govinor Newsom assigned legislation to study inequalities
- 22:42Speaker 6: in youth sports. Republicans are most likely going to fire
- 22:46Speaker 6: back on this. They say the measures intended to support
- 22:50Speaker 6: transgender athletes. It's assembly built seven forty nine. It creates
- 22:54Speaker 6: a commission to examine whether a new State Border Department
- 22:58Speaker 6: is needed to improve acts to sports regardless of race, sex,
- 23:02Speaker 6: sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, income, or geographic location. And
- 23:10Speaker 6: CENTI Minority leader Brian Jones, a Republican from Santie, zeroed
- 23:15Speaker 6: in on that term gender identity. So we shall.
- 23:20Speaker 5: See California the incarcerated firefighters. We hear a lot about.
- 23:26Speaker 5: They go out and put themselves at risk for US. Monday,
- 23:33Speaker 5: gab Newsom signed legislation to boost their pay. So these
- 23:37Speaker 5: are state prisoners. They battle California wildfires. The Assembly bill
- 23:42Speaker 5: is two forty seven, and looking at this is to
- 23:48Speaker 5: push the their wage up because right now it's at
- 23:54Speaker 5: about sixteen to fifteen hours something like that.
- 23:56Speaker 6: Which is well, that's the that's the state wage.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Yeah, and they're at what seven twenty five or something
- 24:04Speaker 3: an hour.
- 24:06Speaker 6: No, they get about a buck an hour right now.
- 24:09Speaker 6: This would raise it to seven twenty five an hour.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Geez man, they can cono. You should take advantage of that.
- 24:16Speaker 6: Buddy, twenty five an hour. Baby, I've been looking. Yeah,
- 24:19Speaker 6: So here's tell me what you think about this. This
- 24:22Speaker 6: is just what I think about this. I think that
- 24:26Speaker 6: the inmates get a lot of benefits from doing this. Yes,
- 24:30Speaker 6: they put their lives at risk, but they also get
- 24:34Speaker 6: credit for like they for every time day they work,
- 24:38Speaker 6: they get time off their sentence. They still get all
- 24:41Speaker 6: their housing paid for. I don't think they.
- 24:43Speaker 7: Should be getting They shouldn't get like room and board,
- 24:48Speaker 7: but they get all of that paper. Yeah, the gray bar, hotel,
- 24:54Speaker 7: hots and a cot exactly.
- 24:56Speaker 6: But I don't think they should be get getting the
- 24:58Speaker 6: regular minimum way because they're getting benefit out of this,
- 25:03Speaker 6: because it also is good for them because when they
- 25:05Speaker 6: get out, it gives them a skill and hopefully they
- 25:08Speaker 6: can get a job in the workforce once they are
- 25:12Speaker 6: not incarcerated any longer. They're getting a lot of benefit
- 25:14Speaker 6: out of it.
- 25:15Speaker 3: But that's above and beyond working in the kitchen or
- 25:18Speaker 3: the mess hall.
- 25:18Speaker 6: To me, that's yeah, but you come out with a
- 25:21Speaker 6: life skill. You could go on and be a firefighter.
- 25:23Speaker 3: H I don't think seven bucks or whatever is that
- 25:26Speaker 3: big of a jump.
- 25:29Speaker 5: I think if we took care of all the people
- 25:32Speaker 5: on death row, we could save that money that we're
- 25:35Speaker 5: paying yearly and.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Put it into people like this.
- 25:38Speaker 5: I'm all four the people that are willing to do
- 25:40Speaker 5: something that actually do an act. The rest of them
- 25:44Speaker 5: garbage disposal.
- 25:45Speaker 3: I'm fine with.
- 25:48Speaker 6: A Remnants of a typhoon have hit Alaska. Not SAME's
- 25:51Speaker 6: sort of weird, kind of far north. More than thirty
- 25:53Speaker 6: people had to be rescued and three people are still
- 25:56Speaker 6: missing in western Alaska after the remnants of Typhoon Long
- 26:00Speaker 6: brought hurricane force winds and flooding strong enough to sweep
- 26:04Speaker 6: away entire homes in coastal communities. Rescue aircraft had to
- 26:09Speaker 6: be sent to Alaskan villages of Kipnuk and QUIGGILLANOK, where
- 26:16Speaker 6: there were reports of people possibly unaccounted for. They have
- 26:20Speaker 6: received reports that people's homes have floated away. People may
- 26:24Speaker 6: have been in those homes.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Wow, that's pretty scary.
- 26:29Speaker 5: Yeah, as we look at just a basic rain out here,
- 26:32Speaker 5: we're all excited about all right, this one's for Kno.
- 26:35Speaker 5: Taylor Swift. She's given fans behind the scenes. Look record
- 26:40Speaker 5: breaking tour. Look at his face, he's so giddy. He's excited. Yeah,
- 26:49Speaker 5: but yeah, Disney Plus is going to air this six
- 26:52Speaker 5: part docu series on the Aris Tour, the end of
- 26:57Speaker 5: an era, given fans behind the scenes, Look all those
- 27:01Speaker 5: inner workings, sold out stadiums. You got to imagine. It's
- 27:06Speaker 5: pretty impressive what they do to put.
- 27:08Speaker 3: On that show. You know.
- 27:11Speaker 6: Plus it's Taylor Swift. I mean, come on, and I
- 27:16Speaker 6: saw your text.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Is that what you're showing me.
- 27:19Speaker 5: Yeah, oh, no, buddies, his bubble guts, his little tummy.
- 27:24Speaker 3: That's all right, and we'll be back with us at seven.
- 27:28Speaker 6: I want my MTV. Maybe people just aren't saying that anymore.
- 27:32Speaker 6: Because MTV is shutting down music channels in the UK,
- 27:38Speaker 6: fans are wondering if the US might be next. The
- 27:41Speaker 6: iconic music TV channel closing five stations, including MTV Music,
- 27:46Speaker 6: MTV Eighties, MTV Nineties Club, MTV and MTV Live. They're
- 27:52Speaker 6: going to go dark at the end of the year.
- 27:56Speaker 3: They stopped playing music.
- 28:00Speaker 6: There's that. That's kind of the It's not really music
- 28:04Speaker 6: television anymore. Although I would imagine isn't like MTV Eighties.
- 28:07Speaker 6: Doesn't that play like a classic?
- 28:10Speaker 3: Yeah? That stuff I would imagine.
- 28:11Speaker 5: But when was the last time you watched MTV or
- 28:14Speaker 5: heard anything about it?
- 28:15Speaker 6: Uh, it's been years years already.
- 28:20Speaker 5: Hand I'll be back when we return. This is KFI
- 28:24Speaker 5: heard everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.
- 28:26Speaker 2: You've been listening to the Bill Handle Show.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Catch My Show Monday through Friday six am to nine am,
- 28:31Speaker 1: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
