- 0:00Chapter 5 from the book of Zechariah.
- 0:03First let's pray. Dear Lord, please let the Holy
- 0:06Spirit give me the right words. Give us wisdom, understanding of
- 0:12the words that you gave to Zechariah.
- 0:15We ask this in Jesus name, Amen. So this is titled the Flying
- 0:21Scroll. It's a very short chapter, but I
- 0:23don't think we're going to be able to get into chapter 6 yet
- 0:26because there's so much in this chapter.
- 0:29I'm going to read through it first and then I will go through
- 0:33the commentary. So chapter 5 I looked again and
- 0:38there before me was a flying scroll.
- 0:41He asked me, what do you see? I answered.
- 0:43I see a flying scroll 20 cubits long and 10 cubits wide.
- 0:49So it is that measurements about 30 feet long and 15 feet wide.
- 0:54So this is huge. And he said to me, this is the
- 1:00curse that is going out over the whole land.
- 1:05For according to what it says, on one side every thief will be
- 1:10banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone
- 1:14who swears falsely will be banished.
- 1:19The Lord Almighty declares I will send it out, and it will
- 1:23enter the House of the thief and the House of anyone who swears
- 1:28falsely by my name. It will remain in that house and
- 1:34destroy it completely, both its Timbers and stones.
- 1:39I think there's a lot of symbolism here.
- 1:42Then there's another segment called the Woman in the Basket.
- 1:47Then the Angel who was speaking to me came forward and said to
- 1:52me, look up and see what is appearing.
- 1:56I asked what is it? He replied it is a basket.
- 2:01And he added this is iniquity of the people throughout the land.
- 2:06Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket
- 2:10sat a woman. He said, this is wickedness.
- 2:15And he pushed her back into the basket and pushed its lead
- 2:20cover. Oh, down on it.
- 2:23Then I looked up, and there before me were two women with
- 2:27the wind in their wings. They had wings like those of a
- 2:32stork, and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth.
- 2:38Where are they taking the basket?
- 2:40I asked the Angel who was speaking to me.
- 2:43He replied to the country of Babylonia to build a house for
- 2:48it. When the house is ready, the
- 2:51basket will be set there in its place.
- 2:55And that's the end. So 3 minutes.
- 2:58But there's so much to talk about, so let's start back up at
- 3:03the top. Actually, maybe I will read
- 3:05Chapter 5's Bible commentary first and then I'll get into my
- 3:13reflection on it. So let's see.
- 3:17The questions and answers are what is the meaning of this
- 3:20flying scroll? This vision suggests that the
- 3:23news of God's coming judgement was for all to see and hear.
- 3:27Like a huge billboard in the sky, God was announcing swift
- 3:31and certain judgement. Which land did God curse?
- 3:35The land of the Israelites. It's possible to see this as a
- 3:38judgement not only on Zachariah's contemporaries, but
- 3:42also on all those who break God's law, according to
- 3:47Galatians chapter 3, verse 10. Why pick?
- 3:51Why picture wickedness as a woman?
- 3:54The people of God are often portrayed in the feminine
- 3:57gender, particularly in their relationship to God, so it is
- 4:01not surprising for their unrighteousness to be
- 4:04personified here as a woman. This was a literary tool meant
- 4:08simply to illustrate the wickedness of the people, both
- 4:11men and women. OK, I have a different
- 4:14interpretation of it and I will give you supporting
- 4:16documentation for why I believe it's different.
- 4:20I believe this is this is spiritual.
- 4:22It's not just that it's a feminine gender.
- 4:26There's more to it than that. So then the question is, who
- 4:30were these two women? That these these women had wings
- 4:35suggest that they were angelic beings.
- 4:38Human agents such as the Babylonians were not the only
- 4:42ones carrying out God's purposes.
- 4:46There were also divinely chosen agents involved.
- 4:51OK, then another question. Why set the basket down in
- 4:54Babylonia? The Hebrew word translated
- 4:57Babylonia is shinar, the area where the human race had proudly
- 5:03rebelled against God at the Tower of Babel from Genesis
- 5:08Chapter 11 verses one through 9. Taking the wickedness back to
- 5:12its roots may suggest that sin will finally be banished so that
- 5:18righteousness can reign. Yes, I agree with that.
- 5:21So that covers everything that the Bible, the study Bible has.
- 5:26Now let's get into a lot more. And so first of all, it's a
- 5:32scroll that's going about the in the air and it has judgments on
- 5:38it. There's two judgments basically.
- 5:40And it's it's, you know, a a it's a curse.
- 5:42It's called a curse. In verse 3, it says it's a curse
- 5:46and and it's going to the people basically who steal and lie.
- 5:53And it says like, let's see, for every thief.
- 5:56OK, so the thief comes to kill and destroy.
- 5:59Think about that. Satan.
- 6:01OK, so Satan is the ultimate thief coming to kill and
- 6:06destroy. So this is the curse out of
- 6:08everybody who's connected with the enemy of God.
- 6:12It's those the curse is going out over the whole land.
- 6:16Every thief will be banished. So anyone who is supporting the
- 6:22enemy will be banished. Then anyone who swears falsely,
- 6:29it says by my name. And if you look up like by my
- 6:34name, it's, you know, it's considered blasphemy, but it's
- 6:39also a designation of God, but not God.
- 6:44Think about that. If someone is swearing falsely
- 6:46by my name, they're using the name of God, but it's not really
- 6:52God. It's a fake God.
- 6:55It's something that they are deceived by the enemy who is
- 6:59putting forth a God who isn't a God.
- 7:02So this is saying that those people, false religions that
- 7:06believe in a false God will be banished.
- 7:10And they are connected with the thief, the enemy.
- 7:13So this is something from the evil ones who rebelled against
- 7:17God. And that's what this curse is.
- 7:20This flying scroll is saying that these people will be
- 7:23banished, those under idolatry. Over and over and over again in
- 7:29the Bible, it tells us about worshipping false gods.
- 7:33And we're going to get into even Jesus's words about this too.
- 7:38So not only is the scroll referenced here, but it's also
- 7:42referenced in Ezekiel and it's also referenced in the Book of
- 7:48Revelation. Now the scroll is a curse here
- 7:52and this specific curse is about two, it's against two different
- 7:56things, unlike the scrolls that are in Ezekiel and Revelation.
- 8:02So this is just a, this is like false.
- 8:05It's basically false gods, like anybody who worships false gods.
- 8:08This is judgment that's coming on those people, though.
- 8:12In the book of Ezekiel, they, he's given a scroll and he's
- 8:19told to eat it and then he's told to speak to the Israelites
- 8:22about this. John in the Book of Revelation
- 8:26is also given a scroll, but he is told to speak to all others
- 8:31besides Israel. So they are each given different
- 8:36communities that they are supposed to speak to and they
- 8:40are supposed to share the prophecy with with those.
- 8:44People. So the book of Ezekiel delivers
- 8:48A2 part message during the Babylonian exile, initial
- 8:52dramatic prophecies of impending doom and the destruction of
- 8:57Jerusalem due to idolatry and social injustice like not doing
- 9:03the right thing. So again, idolatry is key if
- 9:07you. Look, if you like comprehend
- 9:11what's in the Bible all over, I mean that's like do not worship
- 9:15other gods and there are other fake gods that are called.
- 9:21God, but are not God. And that is still happening
- 9:25today. Believe it or not, we we think,
- 9:27oh, everybody worships the same God.
- 9:29No, they don't. And This is why it's so
- 9:32critical, because this is a message for the whole entire
- 9:36world. It is.
- 9:38It is written to Israel specifically, but this applies
- 9:44to all over because it says here the curse is well the curse is
- 9:51going out over the whole land so that every thief will be
- 9:56banished. Specifically to the land of
- 10:00Israel, but ultimately that's where God's going to reign from.
- 10:04So that means that those. Who worship the false gods are
- 10:10not going to be part of God's Kingdom.
- 10:14That's why it's so important. So anyway, the book of Ezekiel,
- 10:17it, it's talking, it's after it talks about the doom and
- 10:24destruction of Jerusalem due to idolatry.
- 10:29It's followed by promises of future restoration, hope, and a
- 10:33new covenant, which ultimately is Jesus is that new covenant
- 10:38that will enable all people to reside if they accept Jesus to
- 10:43reside in God's Kingdom. It emphasizes personal
- 10:49responsibility, God's holiness, and the eventual return of his
- 10:54glory to a restored temple. So in chapters one through 24,
- 11:00Ezekiel is called to be a watchman, using symbolic actions
- 11:03such as lying on a side for over a year and shaving his hair to
- 11:07illustrate the coming destruction of the temple in the
- 11:09city. Then in chapters 25 through 32,
- 11:13prophecies of judgment against surrounding nations such as Tyre
- 11:18and Egypt for their pride and for misleading Israel.
- 11:23Now this is important. The surrounding nations that God
- 11:27had told Israel to destroy when they moved into the land, they
- 11:33were told to destroy these people because these people
- 11:37worshipped other gods. God also told the Israelites,
- 11:41don't intermarry with them because they will lead you
- 11:44astray, which did happen. So there was a warning from God.
- 11:49It it wasn't anything that had to do with racism like people
- 11:54like to talk about today, but it had everything to do with
- 11:57idolatry. Worshipping another God.
- 12:00That's not going to bring them anything good.
- 12:02It was a loving warning from God.
- 12:05Don't mess with these people. They're worshipping other gods.
- 12:08They have idolatry. It, it will just, it'll be bad
- 12:13for you, basically. I mean, it was a word of
- 12:16warning. So in chapters 33 through 48,
- 12:20following the news of Jerusalem's fall, the message
- 12:23shifts to comfort. Highlights include the vision of
- 12:26the Valley of Dry Bones, the restoration of Israel, the
- 12:29promise of a new heart and spirit, and a detailed vision of
- 12:32a future restored temple. Now this is where God talks
- 12:36about the resurrection, where God reveals the resurrection to
- 12:40Ezekiel and then symbolic and the the symbolic imagery.
- 12:50The book is noted for its vivid symbolic language, including the
- 12:54throne chariot vision, which highlights God's power and
- 12:58omnipresence. The ultimate message is that
- 13:02despite Israel's rebellion, God will restore them to their land,
- 13:08renew their hearts and dwell among them.
- 13:12So that's the summary of the Ezekiel prophecy.
- 13:16And Ezekiel, this was all on a it started with the scroll.
- 13:20Like he said, you have to tell this prophecy to the people of
- 13:23Israel and it's because of Jerusalem.
- 13:27That's it was. Relevant to them.
- 13:30So then John gets another vision that's very similar, and there's
- 13:33a scroll, and he's told to eat it too, and he's told to tell
- 13:37all people about it. So they had different audiences.
- 13:40So the Book of Revelation is also an apocalyptic prophecy
- 13:44written by John while he was on the island of Patmos, detailing
- 13:50Jesus Christ, ultimate victory over evil, the end of human
- 13:55corruption, and the establishment of a new heaven
- 13:59and earth. It features symbolic visions of
- 14:02the tribulation, the return of Christ, the final judgement, and
- 14:06the new Jerusalem. So again, there is, it's almost
- 14:10like there's a curse that comes out because as Jesus opens up
- 14:14the scrolls, opens up the seals, each seal that he breaks, Jesus
- 14:19is doing it. The lamb is breaking the seals.
- 14:21There is judgement that comes along with that.
- 14:25There is like a curse that comes along with it.
- 14:27It's not a good thing when those seals are broken, but it has
- 14:32those seals have to be broken and no one but Jesus could do
- 14:36that. So he's breaking the seals for
- 14:40essentially for the freedom and the restoration because because
- 14:45of sin. I believe this was this curse
- 14:48happened because if you go back to the Old Testament in
- 14:55Leviticus and Deuteronomy, you will find that there were
- 14:59blessings and curses that were set out for the people of
- 15:03Israel. Blessings if they were obedient
- 15:06to God and curses if they were disobedient to God.
- 15:10And it spells out, if you look carefully at that, it matches up
- 15:15with what's going to happen in the Book of Revelation on the
- 15:19final judgement, when it's like everything God said is going to
- 15:24happen. It talks about boils festering
- 15:27on people. This is all the way back in the
- 15:29book of Deuteronomy and Leviticus.
- 15:31So God has. Has.
- 15:33Forewarned everybody a long time ago.
- 15:36So people who Jewish people who don't read the New Testament,
- 15:42they. They still have this.
- 15:44Information, they know the consequences because God gave it
- 15:48to him in the books of Leviticus and Deuteronomy.
- 15:52And so they know that they know what the repercussions are for
- 15:58their, their actions. And they Book of Revelation,
- 16:03which is in the New Testament, all the Christians who sometimes
- 16:07they just read the New Testament, they know now they
- 16:11know when they read the Book of Revelation.
- 16:13Here's what's going to happen. And then when you read both,
- 16:18then you see, OK, God's consistent, he said the same
- 16:21thing from the beginning to the end.
- 16:24So the key aspects of Revelation prophecy, the seven churches,
- 16:29Jesus gives messages of encouragement and warning to
- 16:31seven specific churches focusing on faithfulness.
- 16:35Well, I will. Add to that that when we went
- 16:37through that just last chapter of Zechariah, it was.
- 16:41There were two different. Things one of one of the main
- 16:44messages was. Repentance for many of them.
- 16:48I mean, he was, he said good things.
- 16:49So we want to focus on the good things, but I think the
- 16:53important part is focusing on the repentance.
- 16:56It's great that we do good things, but we need to get rid
- 16:59of the other stuff too. And, and if we don't focus on
- 17:02repentance, on restoring our relationship, turning to Christ,
- 17:07if we don't focus on that, we can't just leave.
- 17:12God doesn't leave that in US. God doesn't leave sin
- 17:17unaddressed in us. He gives us the Holy Spirit to
- 17:21overcome sin. The power of God is stronger
- 17:25than the power of sin. The power of God through the
- 17:28Holy Spirit can defeat sin, but we have to recognize it and we
- 17:34have to repent from it. We have we have free will so
- 17:38that. We need to, we need to let God
- 17:41know in our hearts we want it out of our life.
- 17:45We are willing to do that. Sometimes people just want to
- 17:48hang on to it. They want, they know that God is
- 17:51not happy with it, but they want to keep it.
- 17:54Well, that's unrepentance. And if we look at what Jesus
- 17:58warned was repent. Or there's consequences.
- 18:03So that's the same thing. And that's what Ezekiel was told
- 18:06everybody. I mean, the consistent message
- 18:08throughout the Bible has been repent, turn away from.
- 18:13Sin, don't leave it in your life.
- 18:16And God gives us an advocate to help us get it out of our life.
- 18:21And God says be holy because I'm holy.
- 18:25And anyway, OK, so symbolic judgments.
- 18:29The prophecy describes unfolding judgments on the world,
- 18:33including the seven seals, 7 trumpets and seven bowls of
- 18:36wrath representing. God's.
- 18:38Justice. It's justice being served like
- 18:41he is going to separate good from evil.
- 18:44He disciplines those he loves with the hopes that they will
- 18:49repent, that they will turn to him.
- 18:54The Book of Revelation talks about the Tribulation and the
- 18:56Antichrist, a period of intense suffering.
- 18:59Is described featuring the rise of the.
- 19:03Beast or the Antichrist and a counterfeit Trinity that opposes
- 19:06God. Now what?
- 19:08We have to be aware of that if we are unrepentant, if we don't,
- 19:14you know. Ask God.
- 19:15For help for. Forgiveness because we can't do
- 19:18it on our own power. It is true we cannot get rid of
- 19:23sin on our own. Our natural fleshly self is will
- 19:27be defeated if we rely on our own strength.
- 19:31What we need to rely on is the power that was given to us
- 19:34through Christ. Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit
- 19:39for a reason, and the reason is to overcome and eventually when
- 19:49Jesus returns, the Spirit within us will cause us to rise to meet
- 19:56him in the air because the. At the resurrection, that's the
- 20:00way Jesus rose from the dead. It was the Spirit of God that.
- 20:03Rose him from the dead because he died.
- 20:05He needed something to raise him from the dead, and it was the
- 20:10spirit within him that rose. Rose him from the dead.
- 20:14So that's God's Spirit, the connection, that's what we
- 20:18that's the the beautiful thing. I don't.
- 20:19Know that we all fully comprehend.
- 20:21I know I don't fully comprehend, but I get a little bit, I
- 20:24understand a little bit of it. When we have the Holy Spirit
- 20:29within us, we are connected to God.
- 20:32We have that supernatural connection where God can work in
- 20:36our lives and it's such a beautiful thing.
- 20:39That's what Jesus prayed for before he went on the cross.
- 20:43He said Father. I pray that they, they are one
- 20:48in spirit as you and I are one in spirit.
- 20:52See, there's something supernatural about this.
- 20:55Like God in US, you know, like they there is, there is
- 20:59something spiritual in it. It's not.
- 21:03And it is effective too. The Holy Spirit is powerful.
- 21:08I mean, we are talking about the power of God.
- 21:11To deny that God's power cannot change lives is absolutely
- 21:17That's unbelief. If you don't believe the Holy
- 21:20Spirit can change your life and can take sin out of your life,
- 21:24that means you. Are not a believer.
- 21:27You're not believing in the power of God if you believe this
- 21:33will happen. But you have to surrender your
- 21:36free will to it. Sometimes people don't want to
- 21:38give up the stuff they like. That's sinful.
- 21:41And you just have to be willing to give it up.
- 21:45You, you have to be willing like God.
- 21:46I, I give you, you know the access.
- 21:51You know, I'm I'm, Yeah. I mean, God could take the ask
- 21:56access, but he doesn't force himself on anyone.
- 21:59He wants us to want that. He's not going to go against our
- 22:02free will. That's the beauty of what he how
- 22:06he designed us. He designed us so that we can
- 22:10choose. To love him or not.
- 22:13And he's not going to force us to that.
- 22:14He's not going to force anybody to love him.
- 22:16He's not going to force anybody to obey him.
- 22:19It's up to us. That's why we can't do it.
- 22:22As much as we may want to do it for someone else, we can't.
- 22:25It has to be in an individual decision with God about this.
- 22:30So let's go on to more about the Book of Revelation, the Second
- 22:33Coming. Jesus returns in power and
- 22:35glory, not as a humble servant. But as a warrior.
- 22:38King to defeat evil and judge the.
- 22:41World, I've heard a lot of people say, well, the God of the
- 22:44old. Testament was very.
- 22:45Wrathful, but Jesus is all about love.
- 22:48And that is true, He came for the sinners.
- 22:50But. People are going to be.
- 22:52Shocked when Jesus returns because that that he's still the
- 22:58Lamb, but he's not coming with. I mean he.
- 23:03Still is love, but it's. Love and righteousness he's
- 23:06coming to defeat evil and judge the world, so we should have a
- 23:13very. Correct.
- 23:16Understanding of God and not, you know, just think, well,
- 23:21Jesus is is a teddy bear and he's not going to, you know, go
- 23:25again. You know, he's not going to go
- 23:27against me. Well, if I have an unrepentant
- 23:31heart, he will judge that. So it's it's important to get
- 23:39right with God final victory and new creation.
- 23:44Satan and his followers are defeated.
- 23:49So we know in advance that everyone who relies on Satan and
- 23:53all these like Satan worshippers, I can't even
- 23:55believe that people worship Satan today, but they do.
- 23:59But they are going to be defeated.
- 24:01Like we may see them active right now and it seems like
- 24:05they're not, you know that they're fine and they can have
- 24:08whatever powers. They have because they do have a
- 24:10certain. Level of power, but ultimately
- 24:13they're going to be defeated. So these poor people are
- 24:17deceived by the enemy and they don't realize the destruction
- 24:22that they are facing and the the agony and the torture that will
- 24:28be coming if they don't. Turn to God before.
- 24:33Jesus returns, but Satan and as follows are defeated leaning
- 24:38leading to the millennial reign of Christ.
- 24:41That's that thousand years, the great white throne judgement and
- 24:46the creation of a new heaven and a new earth where God dwells
- 24:51with humanity. That's the ultimate right there
- 24:55is we will be at the end of all of this.
- 24:59We definitely have 1000 years to go, but at the end of all that,
- 25:04after judgement, we will be living forever in the presence
- 25:09of God on a new heaven and a new earth.
- 25:11A lot of people just talk about going to heaven.
- 25:13Well, that's kind of like the interim stage, but the eventual
- 25:17outcome is a new earth. It's going to be like this, but
- 25:24not broken and there's no death. It's going to be lush.
- 25:29It's going to be like the Garden of Eden was described.
- 25:33We only have glimpses of this. There's going to be this like
- 25:37New Jerusalem that comes down. Just the city itself.
- 25:40I've talked about this before, but it's about 1600 feet wide,
- 25:451600 feet tall. It's about, if you want to get
- 25:49an idea of it, that's about half the size of the United States
- 25:53from east to West. This is going to be the New
- 25:56Jerusalem, the city of Jerusalem, and it's going to be
- 25:58as tall as it is wide. This is going to be something
- 26:02like we have never seen before. And they're the only way that
- 26:05John described it was with precious semi precious jewels
- 26:09are precious stones. And I don't know if that's
- 26:13literal or if that was the only way that he could describe how
- 26:16glorious and beautiful it was. But that is what God has in
- 26:21store for his children, His children who turned to him and
- 26:26say, I reject the enemy. I reject your enemy.
- 26:30I don't want any of that enemy in me.
- 26:33I don't want that sin in me. I want, I want your Kingdom.
- 26:38I want to be with you in the future.
- 26:41I mean, that is what God is looking for.
- 26:44He is looking for who loves him back.
- 26:46He, Jesus, sacrificed his own life so that we could be in the
- 26:52Kingdom. But in Jesus, sacrifice was for
- 26:55all people. It doesn't matter if you're an
- 26:58Israelite or if you're some other from some other nation.
- 27:02His sacrifice is for all the people who died from the
- 27:06beginning of creation, all the people who died today, all the
- 27:10people who die in the future. Jesus is sacrifice because he is
- 27:15the Son of God. He was the only one who could do
- 27:19that for us because he was sinless.
- 27:22Everything else is sinless. Just like Jesus said.
- 27:24Why do you call me good? He was talking to the Pharisees
- 27:27I believe, and he said the only one who's good is God.
- 27:30So Jesus is the Son of God. He was good, you know, and he
- 27:34was the only one who could do that for us.
- 27:37So that's why people are thankful to Jesus, because he
- 27:41did that. But we have to think about this
- 27:44couple things that I think sometimes churches don't
- 27:48mention. That does not mean that everyone
- 27:50is going to be saved. So why?
- 27:54Because Jesus did it for everyone.
- 27:56Well, because of our response. How do we respond to it?
- 28:01We can reject that and we can say I, I don't need you and we
- 28:06can just go on our own way completely with lacking in power
- 28:13and to overcome anything like we will just be defeated.
- 28:18If we rely on ourselves, we that we essentially are making
- 28:21ourselves a God. Like we're saying we don't need
- 28:24God. We don't need the creator.
- 28:25We don't need the one who made the earth.
- 28:28I mean, that's ridiculous when we're talking about these
- 28:31spiritual things. The only way to overcome this is
- 28:34through Jesus. Jesus said I am the way, the
- 28:36truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except
- 28:38through me. So if we reject the Son of God,
- 28:43we do not get into the Kingdom. So all of the religions who
- 28:47reject the deity of Jesus Christ, all people who reject.
- 28:53The deity of Jesus. Christ will not be in God's
- 28:58Kingdom. It was stated from I mean all
- 29:03throughout the Bible. And I know this is uncomfortable
- 29:07for people, but see, God says, see if you seek me, you will
- 29:12find me. So if, if this is concerning to
- 29:16you or to anyone you know, seek God.
- 29:19He will be found. He's not trying to hide from
- 29:22anyone. He's right there, but you have
- 29:25to want. To.
- 29:28To get to know him, you have to want to be in his Kingdom.
- 29:32There's it just, I don't even know how to better say it, but
- 29:39it is. It's very concerning because
- 29:41there are these like angelic beings like this chapter talks
- 29:44about that mess with people's mind that tell people that
- 29:50there's another way besides Jesus and there isn't and it.
- 29:57It it it's. Concerning that people don't
- 30:00don't take this seriously and I need to move on because I I
- 30:04don't know where I'm going with this, but.
- 30:08Anyway, let's get back to the scripture.
- 30:09So there's these, there's these flying scrolls, there's curses.
- 30:13And it's like I said, this is about idolatry and.
- 30:19Swearing falsely. There's a lot of people who
- 30:22will, you know, swear by the name of God, but they're not
- 30:24talking about the true God. And God also said, you know, not
- 30:29to ever swear by his name. Either that all we should do is
- 30:34answer yes or no. Anything else is is something
- 30:38from the Evil 1 I believe. So this woman in the basket was
- 30:44very interesting because and being sent to Babylon Babylonia
- 30:50because I believe that this woman in the basket is actually
- 30:55Babylon the prostitute on the beast in the Book of Revelation
- 31:01in chapter 17. There is.
- 31:04It talks about Babylon again and it talks, it talks about her as
- 31:09a woman, and I believe that this is, it says the name Revelation
- 31:1517, five says the name written on her forehead was a mystery
- 31:20Babylon the Great, the mother of prostitutes and of abominations
- 31:27of the earth. That's what Babylon is the great
- 31:31mother, so that she has this female personification.
- 31:36Like I said, I you know, the study Bible said just said like
- 31:42they were a lot of cities were talked about in a feminine
- 31:46gender, which is true because they talk about like virgin
- 31:49Israel and virgin, you know, like daughter.
- 31:52I mean, it talks about that, you know, in a it throughout
- 31:56Scripture. I agree with that.
- 31:58However, I think there is more to this.
- 32:00So Babylon is considered the mother of prostitutes.
- 32:04I'm going to make a connection that has existed from ancient
- 32:08civilization and might be very interesting to you if you have
- 32:12not heard this before, but the great mother of prostitutes.
- 32:15So what does a prostitute do? She is not married to a husband.
- 32:20She has multiple partners. So this is.
- 32:23Symbolically idolatry. So God is the husband and this
- 32:29is the great mother of prostitutes.
- 32:31So all people who who are in idolatry, who believe other
- 32:38religions, they are the prostitutes, they are seeking
- 32:42other gods and they are considered the abominations of
- 32:46the earth. It's a pretty strong language.
- 32:48It's not my language. It is God's language.
- 32:51Then the other thing is the basket.
- 32:54So obviously putting a woman in a basket, that's kind of like
- 32:58it's all symbolic, right? And at the same time there are
- 33:02these angelic beings are these quote women with wings.
- 33:06Now usually angels are described as men, but and I didn't look.
- 33:11Up the actual Hebrew to see if this was correct or if it was a
- 33:15translation issue. I don't know if it's that
- 33:17significant anyway, maybe it is. So there were two women with
- 33:23wind in their wings. Now usually angels are referred
- 33:26to as men throughout the Bible. Only in our depictions are they
- 33:31most oftenly shown as women. But in this?
- 33:34Chapter which I probably. Need to to look at it.
- 33:38So that's going to take me a second just to look up to see
- 33:41the original Hebrew word. For this because I want to make
- 33:45sure it does say women and because it I think it is.
- 33:50Probably significant and I can understand why it would be women
- 33:55when and you will probably see two, but I just want to make
- 33:59sure that it says there were two women and I looked and there
- 34:03were two women and it's Isha which says the OK according to
- 34:10Strongs. It's it's Issa and it's
- 34:17pronounced. I'll give you the pronunciation.
- 34:21Strongs H8O2 is Shah is Shah. And the translation of that is
- 34:29wife, a woman, 1, married, female or miscellaneous.
- 34:35So it's a woman, a wife or a female.
- 34:37So it is talking about two women in this vision.
- 34:41So there's. Two women with wind in their
- 34:44wings and like the study Bible says I I agree with this part
- 34:47that I think it is probably angelic beings and it is
- 34:51symbolic because. This is a vision that he's
- 34:53seeing, and there's a woman in a basket.
- 34:55Like I said, I think it's probably Babylon the woman and
- 35:02that gets taken to Babylonia. That makes sense.
- 35:05I mean, doesn't it? And let's see.
- 35:07So this basket, So what is a basket?
- 35:11A basket typically holds something and often in the Bible
- 35:15a basket holds bread. What is bread symbolic of?
- 35:22Jesus, the word of God, the the nutrition, the spiritual
- 35:28nutrition that we get through bread, the symbol symbolic, I
- 35:33mean bread gives us nutrition. And if Jesus is the bread of
- 35:38life, then when we like Jesus said eat, eat my flesh and drink
- 35:44my blood, was talking about the bread, the bread of life when
- 35:48you do that. So there is a spiritual
- 35:51significance of that. And so there's this woman in a
- 35:57basket. So could perhaps this is my own
- 36:01theory or understanding of this, could this woman be, it's, it
- 36:04says in here that this is iniquity, that this is
- 36:08wickedness, but she's personified.
- 36:11It's personified as a woman. And bread is usually in a
- 36:16basket, but instead of the bread of life, there's wickedness in
- 36:21this basket. So I think this is this is the
- 36:24symbolism that I'm seeing at least is that this bread with
- 36:28the woman in there is iniquity is sin is all these things
- 36:33opposite of the bread of life. And it's being taken away to
- 36:38Babylonia and and I do think it's probably the Mystery
- 36:45Babylon is this this woman in the basket?
- 36:48And then here's why. Here's another thing in
- 36:51Revelation chapter 17, verse 16. Now this is a all symbolism
- 36:57again. It says the beast and the 10
- 36:59horns you saw will hate the prostitute.
- 37:04Now the prostitute is Mystery Babylon.
- 37:06Remember, she's the mother of all prostitutes.
- 37:08So the beast and the 10 horns you saw will hate her.
- 37:11They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked.
- 37:16They will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.
- 37:22So wickedness, I mean, the beast is wicked, but, and, and just
- 37:28like Jesus gives us the bread of life and says to eat it.
- 37:32This, on the other hand, is eating her flesh wickedness and
- 37:36iniquity. And but they're turning against
- 37:39her like they eat from the same basket, but they are turning
- 37:43against her and they are going to burn her and destroy her.
- 37:47So eventually, I mean, this is all symbolism, but this beast
- 37:50is, is Satan driven. The 10 horns are powers of
- 37:54people on the earth at that time.
- 37:57There's like kings or rulers or strengths or powers.
- 38:01So it's, it's a Satan empowered a, an alliance of rulers on the
- 38:09earth that will hate whatever this prostitute represents.
- 38:13And that talks about a city. There's a certain city that they
- 38:17hate and they're going to destroy because it is also, it
- 38:21is, I think it's, it's spiritual.
- 38:24It's a city and it's more than a city.
- 38:27It's a spiritual entity. And I'm going to get into that
- 38:30now. That comes back from the
- 38:31beginning of creation. So again, why are women used in
- 38:37this? Well, we have to go back to
- 38:41ancient civilization and let's look up Ishtar, Inana Ashira
- 38:49commonalities. Now this is from the Bible.
- 38:53I'm not making this up. Ishtar is is is about is written
- 38:59in about the Bible. Inana is written about the
- 39:02Bible. Ashira is also written about in
- 39:05the Bible. Remember there were Ashira polls
- 39:08that people set up and started worshipping this.
- 39:11Now I'm going to read about them and and then maybe you will you
- 39:16will like make the connection here.
- 39:19But that's this is again, I think this is spiritual.
- 39:25So Ishtar was an Akkadian or Babylonian goddess and Inana was
- 39:30the Sumerian goddess and they are essentially the same deity,
- 39:35the primary Mesopotamian goddess of love, sex, fertility and war.
- 39:44While Inana or Ishtar Tar focuses on passionate duality,
- 39:50love and war, Ashira is a broader W Semitic mother
- 39:55goddess, yet all three share roles as powerful.
- 40:01Wait till you hear this quote. Queen of Heaven figures so queen
- 40:08of heaven. If you recall in the Bible it
- 40:11talks about people baking goods for the Queen of Heaven.
- 40:17Tammuz, I mean Tammuz is mentioned in God's temple where
- 40:22he gets really upset. I think that might be in the
- 40:24book of Ezekiel where he shows them that.
- 40:27But there is like there are offerings you can probably
- 40:29search queen of heaven and find it in the Bible.
- 40:33So is this because they were defined these, these entities
- 40:40which I believe are fallen angels that are, that are liars.
- 40:46They are the thief. They are liars saying they are
- 40:49God and appearing to people, ancient people and deceiving
- 40:53them. The thief comes to destroy.
- 40:56That's what I believe these things are, are spiritual
- 40:59entities that are responsible for all these different
- 41:03religions that are not the true religion.
- 41:06And they are spiritual entities that come from the heavenly
- 41:09realms, just like Ephesians 612 says that we wrestle not against
- 41:15flesh and blood, but against the powers and this spiritual, the
- 41:19principalities in the heavenly realms and the dark forces.
- 41:23So it's these things in the heavenly realms that rebelled
- 41:27against God. They were created beings, but
- 41:29they wanted to be God. Therefore, when they came to
- 41:33earth, they deceived human beings to to hurt God.
- 41:40I mean, essentially to hurt God. They wanted to be worshipped,
- 41:43but also they just wanted to destroy what God loves.
- 41:46And God loves people and God wants people in his Kingdom.
- 41:50And so they're coming to separate us from God.
- 41:54So going back to this, Queen of Heaven is written in the Bible.
- 41:58So it's not mythology. This is written in the Bible.
- 42:02Key commonalities between Inanna, Ishtar and Ashira, Queen
- 42:06of Heaven slash divine power. All three hold immense power in
- 42:12their respective pantheons. Inanna or Ishtar is explicitly
- 42:16called quote the Queen of Heaven and Ashura held a high
- 42:23foundational status as mother of the gods.
- 42:28Fertility in life. They are all associated with
- 42:30fertility, life and the protection of civilization.
- 42:34Deception complex dual nature. Inana Ishtar famously combines
- 42:40the contradictory roles of love, sexuality with warfare and
- 42:44destruction. While as Shira is more motherly
- 42:48she is often linked to the protective and life giving
- 42:51powers associated with nature. How many people do we have that
- 42:55worship nature but they don't don't worship the true God.
- 42:59Think about that. So Ashira is probably behind
- 43:02that connection to nature slash symbols.
- 43:06They are closely connected to the natural world.
- 43:10Inana or Ishtar is symbolized by the lion.
- 43:15Is that kind of a mock to Jesus? Venus or morning or evening
- 43:20star? So and the 8 pointed *.
- 43:27So those are the connections to Ishtar and Inana Central fusion.
- 43:35Inana is Sumerian and Ishtar is Akkadian were merged as they
- 43:40represented the same functions in different cultures.
- 43:44So you have to ask yourself, different cultures started
- 43:47seeing this deity or started worshipping this.
- 43:52It's not a deity, but this, I don't know what you want to call
- 43:55it fallen Angel. And and so they, they saw these
- 43:59same things and they're like, hey, we both worship the same
- 44:02thing. Let's just combine this, you
- 44:03know, it's kind of like. So if this.
- 44:07Happened at at in different cultures in different places,
- 44:10but they were worshipping the same thing and it's not God.
- 44:13They had to have seen something. I don't think they were foolish,
- 44:17archaic, unintelligent people back then.
- 44:20I think people have always been the way we are today, which
- 44:23doesn't say a lot. I mean, we're not all that
- 44:26intelligent. When you think about the
- 44:27spiritual realm, we just don't know it.
- 44:30But you see something that, you know, what if these fallen
- 44:33angels came and showed great powers and they're like
- 44:36supernatural things that nobody else could do.
- 44:38They're like, you know, like. Wow, look at that.
- 44:41You know, and then they start worshipping this thing.
- 44:43So it's a huge deception that the fallen angels did to
- 44:48mankind. And there's further support to
- 44:49this too. But anyway, Ashira or Canaanite
- 44:55shares similar fertility mother characteristics with other Near
- 44:58Eastern goddess Near Eastern goddesses that were sometimes
- 45:02synchronized with Inanna or Ishtar.
- 45:05Such as Astarte. So the key differences, the
- 45:10focus Ish, Nana and Ishtar is more associated with intense,
- 45:14sometimes chaotic romantic love and destruction and political
- 45:20war. Do we perhaps have any of that
- 45:24spiritual influence in our world today?
- 45:28Romantic love and destruction, chaotic romantic love and
- 45:32destruction, political war. And this is intense.
- 45:38Kind of sounds like there's might be some spiritual force
- 45:41when it says we wrestle, not wrestle, not against flesh and
- 45:44blood. And this is what we're seeing in
- 45:46our world today. So then the other one is the
- 45:49role. Ashira is more often recognized
- 45:51as a cosmic mother figure associated with the sea, trees
- 45:57and wild animals similar to Gaia or Ray, rather than a warrior
- 46:03deity. So again, I've seen this like
- 46:05Gaia, Gaia, I've seen that circulating on YouTube and other
- 46:12social media and it's like this mystical kind of, I don't know,
- 46:19religious thing. But warning, it looks like
- 46:23Ashira is behind it. So it's another false belief
- 46:29that's out in the world even today.
- 46:31You think all these like strange gods from beforehand were, you
- 46:36know, long gone, but they're not.
- 46:37They're they're here. And anyway, so now here is what
- 46:44Jesus said. And this is this is something to
- 46:49meditate on and pray about. This is from John chapter 10
- 46:54verse. Let's see, let's just start at
- 46:59verse 31 and I'm going to read for a bit and then talk about
- 47:02it. So again, his Jewish opponents
- 47:05picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, I have
- 47:11shown you many good works from the Father.
- 47:15For which of these do you stone me?
- 47:19We are not stoning you for any good work, they replied, but for
- 47:23blasphemy, Because you, a mere man, claim to be God.
- 47:30Jesus answered them. Is it not written in your law?
- 47:34I, and here's the quotation from the law, I have said you are
- 47:38gods. If he called them gods, to whom
- 47:45the word of God came, and Scripture cannot be set aside.
- 47:50What about the one whom God says set apart as his very own and
- 47:54sent into this world? Why then do you accuse me of
- 47:58blasphemy? Because I said I am God's son?
- 48:04OK, I've heard before people say that.
- 48:06Did Jesus ever claimed to be God?
- 48:08You know right here he's saying I am God's Son and then he says
- 48:15do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father.
- 48:19But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe
- 48:23the works that you may know and understand that the Father is in
- 48:27me and I in the Father. This is again what Jesus prayed
- 48:32before he died that all of us could have that too to could
- 48:35have that relationship like he has with the Father.
- 48:39So this this part is like this, the whole thing about like I
- 48:44have said, you were gods. That is a reference to Psalm 82.
- 48:49So I will read through that now. Psalm 82 is called a Psalm of
- 48:55Asaph. You have to know who Asaph was.
- 48:58He was a seer. He was a prophet.
- 49:01He was a prophet who advised King David.
- 49:04He spoke with God. He received revelations from
- 49:08God. And yes, he wrote songs, but
- 49:11that's not necessarily what I'm talking about.
- 49:14His songs are prophetic. Now here is it's a short 1.
- 49:19Psalm 82 is only 8 verses long. Here's what it says God presides
- 49:24in presides in the great assembly.
- 49:27He renders judgment among the quote gods.
- 49:33How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to
- 49:38the wicked? Defend the weak and the
- 49:40fatherless. Uphold the.
- 49:41Cause of the. Poor and the oppressed rescue
- 49:44the weak, and the needy deliver them from the hand of the
- 49:47wicked. The quote Gods know nothing,
- 49:52they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness.
- 49:56All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
- 50:00I said you are quote gods. You are all sons of the most
- 50:07High, but you will die like mere mortals.
- 50:13You will fall like every other ruler.
- 50:16Rise up O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are your
- 50:21inheritance. So the key thing here is this
- 50:25statement. But you will die like mere
- 50:28mortals. You will fall like every other
- 50:31ruler. So these little G gods are not
- 50:34human beings, but they are, they are told.
- 50:38You are going to die like mere mortals.
- 50:44It sounds like he's perhaps talking to the angels in heaven
- 50:49or some deep some being in heaven.
- 50:53And and it says that you are all sons of the most high like God
- 50:58gave them a certain level, but they are not they are not gods.
- 51:03They're like little G gods. And I was going to look at what
- 51:06the actual word that was used for these these gods in Hebrew.
- 51:14So they do not know. OK, so it doesn't say that these
- 51:18gods. I want to see what it says.
- 51:22Render's judgment among the gods.
- 51:26So what is that called of the rulers?
- 51:29But it's called Elohim and that's that is used like Elohim
- 51:34is the plural of rulers, judges, divine ones, angels, gods, God,
- 51:41goddess, God like or it could mean the true God.
- 51:46But here, so there is some like, maybe because of their abilities
- 51:51that God gave them, they aren't the God, but they were created
- 51:56by, by God. And, and there's a little bit
- 52:03more of an explanation, like I certainly don't understand all
- 52:06of this, but this is like in the presence of God.
- 52:10And, and this was also mentioned in the book of Job where God was
- 52:15there and then Satan was there and angels were there and they
- 52:19were talking about Job. I mean, that's like the first
- 52:21scene if you want to go into the, the book of Job, the 1st
- 52:24chapter, it explains about, about this.
- 52:26I mean, like there are these, these heavenly realms, these
- 52:29councils, these this law, especially the laws that we
- 52:33established are really based on what God gave.
- 52:36Like God is the the one who set these laws that we actually
- 52:42started with here on this earth. It was God, they came from God.
- 52:48They've been distorted in the earth and God's, I'm sure not
- 52:51happy about that. But originally they came from,
- 52:56thank God. So I did mention about blessings
- 52:59and curses on this scroll, but if you want to read that, I'm
- 53:02not going to go through all of this, but like I said, it
- 53:06matches up with the judgments that are given in Revelation.
- 53:09But if you want to read it, you can go to Deuteronomy 28 and
- 53:14also Leviticus 26 verses one through 13 and Deuteronomy
- 53:21Chapter 7 verses 12 through 24. A lot of this is about idolatry.
- 53:26And that's the that's one of the other main themes that I see
- 53:30throughout the Bible is to stay away from idolatry.
- 53:36So I did look up, you know, driving out the nations and
- 53:41intermarrying. OK, so this this might be
- 53:44significant to us in this time in 2026 and I think it may
- 53:51perhaps be relevant. So Deuteronomy Chapter 7 verse
- 53:56one. And also it references Exodus 34
- 54:00verses 10 through 16. This is where it originally came
- 54:05from it God was saying to the Israelites, obey what I command
- 54:09you today. I will drive out before you the
- 54:12Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Parasites, Hivites and
- 54:18Jebusites. Be careful not to make a treaty
- 54:22with those who live in the land where you were going or they
- 54:27will be a snare to you. Break down their altars, smash
- 54:32their sacred stones and cut down their Ashira poles.
- 54:37Remember we just talked about Inana, Ishtar, Ashira, these
- 54:43these lands, these people in these lands were worshipping
- 54:46those other gods they had. And it said the very next
- 54:50sentence says do not worship any other God.
- 54:54For the Lord. Whose name is jealous is a
- 54:58jealous God. Be careful not to make a treaty
- 55:01with those who live in the land, for when they prostitute,
- 55:05remember Babylon's the mother of prostitutes.
- 55:08When they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to
- 55:13them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices.
- 55:18And when you choose some of their daughters as wives for
- 55:21your sons, and those daughters prostitute themselves to their
- 55:25gods, they will lead your sons to do the same.
- 55:29So this was the warning that God gave the Israelites.
- 55:33Don't mix with these people. They are worshipping other gods.
- 55:38They are probably worshipping these like Queens of heaven.
- 55:42And he gives the all of these different territories and I
- 55:48found it interesting, Deuteronomy 7 verse one, when
- 55:51the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering
- 55:54to possess and drives out before you many nations, the Hittites,
- 56:00Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perazites, Hivites
- 56:04and Jebusites. 7 nations stronger, larger and stronger
- 56:10than you, and when the Lord your God has delivered them over to
- 56:15you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them
- 56:20totally, make no treaty with them and show them no mercy.
- 56:28So, yeah, if these are spiritual entities, do the spirits
- 56:37continue to influence people in these areas that, you know, are
- 56:43mentioned here, The Hittites, the Gurgashites, Amorites,
- 56:46Canaanites, parasites, Hivites and Jebusites?
- 56:50This is where God saying, you know, we're going to I'm going
- 56:53to defeat them. Don't make a treaty with them.
- 56:56I think about, you know, this, this treaty that is spoken of
- 57:01through Daniel the prophet that, you know, a covenant that is
- 57:05made with many for a week, but then it's broken in the middle.
- 57:09I wonder if it could be with any of these, these areas, like is
- 57:13Israel going to make a treaty with them?
- 57:16And he says make no treaty with them.
- 57:18Like is that going to be like what brings on God's judgement?
- 57:22What brings on all of these things from the seals and the
- 57:25trumpets? Just like no, no, no, I warned
- 57:29you about this. These foreign worshipping people
- 57:32like do not do that. It says show them no mercy, do
- 57:37not intermarry with them. So I, I wanted to see like,
- 57:40where were the Hittites, you know, where did they live?
- 57:43And that is Anatolia, modern day Turkey.
- 57:47So that's, you know, just something Turkey factors into
- 57:51here. Then I was like, where did the
- 57:53Girgashites live? Where they were in the, the
- 57:56central part of western Israel. And that's where it says that
- 58:02they were likely in the region of Canaan.
- 58:06So it was a certain area within Israel.
- 58:09So you can see these people are probably still scattered among
- 58:13in Israel. Now, the Amorites, where did
- 58:16they live? They were in Syria, West of the
- 58:19Euphrates and the Arabian desert before expanding into Canaan and
- 58:24Mesopotamia, which is modern day Iraq.
- 58:28So all of this area that's involved with the wars going on
- 58:32right now, could it be that it's these ancient entities that are
- 58:38still influencing people because our our battle is not against
- 58:43flesh and blood or people. It's a spiritual battle.
- 58:47And are these spiritual battles still happening today?
- 58:50I tend to think they are. So where did the Canaanites
- 58:53live? They the Canaanites lived in the
- 58:56southern Levant region of the ancient Near East during the
- 59:00Bronze Age, an area corresponding to modern day
- 59:03Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan and coastal Syria.
- 59:11So think about that. We've got the West Bank, we've
- 59:15got Lebanon, we've got Jordan and Syria and Israel.
- 59:22So it's like within, like they're scattered, They're
- 59:26inside, inside Israel, and they believe they still are inside
- 59:30Israel. And the OK, the Perizzites.
- 59:34They were an ancient Canaanite people who lived in the central
- 59:37Hill County and open and fertile open unwalled regions of Canaan,
- 59:43specifically South and southwest of Mount Carmel.
- 59:47Their name means villagers or dwellers in the open country.
- 59:50Indicates that they were rural farmers and herders rather than
- 59:53city dwellers. Then where did the Hivites live?
- 59:58They were a Canaanite people also who primarily inhabited the
- 1:00:01northern mountainous regions of Palestine, specifically around
- 1:00:05Mount Lebanon and Mount Hermon stretching towards Hemeth.
- 1:00:11They also occupied central areas, including the city of
- 1:00:15Shechem. And the region of Gibeon just
- 1:00:18north of Jerusalem. And then where did the Jebusites
- 1:00:22live? The Jebusites were a Canaanite
- 1:00:24tribe that inhabited the 1 fortified hill, the city of
- 1:00:29Jebus, which is modern day Jerusalem.
- 1:00:33They controlled the central mountain region, specifically
- 1:00:36around Mount Zion and the surrounding hills from the
- 1:00:40Bronze Age until their defeat by King David, who made the city
- 1:00:44his capital. So this is all of this is like
- 1:00:49the Middle East and is what is I think affecting everything
- 1:00:55today. Now this was like lead is
- 1:01:00something interesting. So the woman in the basket has a
- 1:01:03lead cover. But when I looked up, OK, lead
- 1:01:08meant lead, and lead is symbolic of something, so we're going to
- 1:01:12go down that path. But also the cover, when I
- 1:01:16looked up that actual word in the Hebrew, it was it didn't
- 1:01:21mean like cover or lid. It was it talked about a round
- 1:01:26loaf. And so that's what led me to the
- 1:01:31thinking that perhaps the woman is representative of iniquity,
- 1:01:36the loaf, the loaf of iniquity or wickedness, just, you know,
- 1:01:40as a the opposite of Jesus being the bread of life.
- 1:01:45So that's kind of where that came from in my thoughts, where
- 1:01:50I I thought that the bread analogy in the basket, because a
- 1:01:55basket carries bread. So then this, this lead, lead is
- 1:02:01used in the Bible and it it's certainly you know how is lead
- 1:02:06refined? Lead is refined from raw or are
- 1:02:11scrap mostly batteries, primarily through a
- 1:02:14pyrometallurgical process, heating and skimming to achieve
- 1:02:19greater than 99% purity. The process involves drossing to
- 1:02:24remove impurities like copper and iron, softening to remove
- 1:02:31Ant antimony slash arsenic and de silvering to recover precious
- 1:02:37metals, often using zinc. That's from Britannica.
- 1:02:41So lead is refined by heating and skimming.
- 1:02:47And so this is essentially what God is going to do in his final
- 1:02:51judgement. It's going to be by fire.
- 1:02:53He judged by flood the first time, He's judging by fire the
- 1:02:58second time. And when he talks about this
- 1:03:01lead cover, this lead cover is covering wickedness.
- 1:03:04And in order to eradicate wickedness, it's going to go
- 1:03:06through the fire and maybe some will be purified as it.
- 1:03:09That's what he's going to do to the nation of Israel.
- 1:03:12Some will be purified through the process and others will be
- 1:03:18destroyed. And and you know, God
- 1:03:22disciplines those he loves. He's hoping that they will will
- 1:03:26come back to him. So I was curious just I did, I
- 1:03:32wanted to find like the support of this.
- 1:03:34I was like, well, who discovered lead?
- 1:03:36You know, like where did it come from?
- 1:03:38Because I'm trying to find a connection.
- 1:03:39You know, it's from the earth. But who actually figured out
- 1:03:42what lead could be used for? So here's what I found.
- 1:03:45Lead was not discovered by a single person.
- 1:03:48It has been known and used for over 8000 years.
- 1:03:52You know if that's true, whatever with evidence of its
- 1:03:55use dating back to ancient civilizations.
- 1:03:59Now listen to this. Like the Egyptians, Babylonians
- 1:04:04and Romans who used it for pipes, coins and statues.
- 1:04:10The oldest known lead object is a small statue from Anatolia
- 1:04:16dated around 6500 BC. OK, let's just look at this.
- 1:04:22So who was using lead back then? You know, it's not discovered by
- 1:04:26a certain person. But we've got the Egyptians.
- 1:04:28What did they do? They had many gods.
- 1:04:31They worshipped multiple gods. We also have those pyramids.
- 1:04:34Like how did they make the pyramids?
- 1:04:36How did the ancient people that time without equipment that we
- 1:04:41have today, How did they build those pyramids?
- 1:04:44Then you have the Babylonians are mentioned.
- 1:04:47They had led and so Babylon, I mean, we know so much throughout
- 1:04:53Scripture how Babylon was like the Center for like this chapter
- 1:04:59says, iniquity and wickedness. Babylon is modern day Iraq, by
- 1:05:04the way. Then we have the Romans.
- 1:05:08Now the Romans were the this last empire from the the vision
- 1:05:16that Daniel had not Daniel had, but Daniel interpreted and
- 1:05:20multiple chapters in the book of Daniel talk about these four
- 1:05:26different kingdoms that would come before eventually Jesus
- 1:05:29returns and you first had the I guess the Assyrians, then the oh
- 1:05:38wait, no, the Assyrians had already happened by the time of
- 1:05:41Daniels exile into Babylon. So is the Babylonians was the
- 1:05:46first one in his visions that it was the the Kingdom of Babylon
- 1:05:51that was Nebuchadnezzar. And then after that came the
- 1:05:57Medes and the Persians, which would be modern day Iran.
- 1:06:02They kind of, they came up and they there was like some
- 1:06:05goodness in them because like Cyrus was the one who let them
- 1:06:08build their temple. So they weren't an extreme enemy
- 1:06:11like today like Iran is to Israel today.
- 1:06:18And, you know, maybe, maybe the regime that's in Iran right now
- 1:06:23may go away. I don't know.
- 1:06:26I mean, I know the people want the Iranian people who are
- 1:06:29oppressed, want to be freed from that regime.
- 1:06:33And there are Iranians who have fled from that country to have a
- 1:06:39better life. And so the Iranian people are
- 1:06:43not the, the, the evil ones, but it's just the, the ones who are,
- 1:06:48you know, in the current seeking to kill and destroy just like
- 1:06:54Satan. Those are the ones who are not
- 1:06:56the good ones. And so anyway, but we get into
- 1:07:02this, this, OK, the the different kingdoms.
- 1:07:05So it was the Babylonians, then the Medes and the Persians.
- 1:07:09And then it says the Greeks, but what it And that's kind of the
- 1:07:13Mediterranean. But what it it was the Greeks,
- 1:07:16but it was also Anatolia, it was Turkey.
- 1:07:20What does this say? The oldest LED object is a small
- 1:07:23statue from Anatolia dated around 6500 BC.
- 1:07:27So here we have this, this, you know, third Kingdom that was in
- 1:07:33Daniel's vision, the Greek and the the Turkey connection.
- 1:07:39And then after that came the Roman and, and that was the last
- 1:07:47Kingdom. But the last Kingdom before
- 1:07:50Jesus returns is going to be a mixture.
- 1:07:53It's going to be a divided Kingdom.
- 1:07:55So it's not going to be it That was the, you know, the 4th
- 1:07:59Kingdom was the Roman Empire, but the Roman Empire brought
- 1:08:03into all of these like different gods and goddesses.
- 1:08:08But again, these are these are things, these are countries that
- 1:08:12were against Israel, Egyptians, they had them originally in
- 1:08:18slavery, but they, you know, idolatry is certainly a factor.
- 1:08:22Babylonians, we just talked about Inanna and Ishtar that
- 1:08:26came from, I guess it was, I forgot which one, one of those
- 1:08:29two was what the Babylonians believed.
- 1:08:32So they have other gods. And then the Romans, they had
- 1:08:35all these different gods, the Greek gods and all of that.
- 1:08:39They they had that going on. And then you have Anatolia,
- 1:08:44which is part of that, that Kingdom that was also against.
- 1:08:50So these are all like non God focused locations and and they
- 1:08:58had they were using lead and you may think, well, OK, that
- 1:09:03doesn't really matter unless you heard about the book of Enoch,
- 1:09:08which I know is not canonized. It's not part of the Bible.
- 1:09:12It was referenced in the book of Jude.
- 1:09:15But if you, if you do get into it, I want to just tell you I,
- 1:09:22I, I was curious about the book of Enoch and I'm not basing all,
- 1:09:26you know, faith on it or whatever, but I just wanted to
- 1:09:28say, well, what did it say? Does it contradict the Bible?
- 1:09:31And not that we can believe everything that's in it, but so
- 1:09:36I did skimmed over it. I didn't spend a lot of time
- 1:09:40reading it like I do the Bible. But here's something that's
- 1:09:43significant. The Book of Enoch, specifically
- 1:09:46chapters 7 and 8, describes fallen angels known as the
- 1:09:51Watchers, teaching humanity forbidden arts, including
- 1:09:57metallurgy, which is weapons and jewelry, cosmetics, sorcery,
- 1:10:04astrology, and divination. Led by Azazo and Shemhazia, this
- 1:10:12knowledge corrupted mankind, fostering extreme violence,
- 1:10:18vanity, and sexual immorality. So these this is what the book
- 1:10:25of Enoch talks about, these fallen angels.
- 1:10:28The Bible supports that in Revelation it says that Satan,
- 1:10:32who's the dragon, took his tail and swiped 1/3 of the stars.
- 1:10:38The stars are symbolic of angels in the Book of Revelation and
- 1:10:42threw them down to the earth. So the Bible supports what this
- 1:10:47says. The Bible doesn't get into the
- 1:10:48detail. What does God say about these
- 1:10:51things? I mean, at one time Israel did
- 1:10:55not have iron are tools like that.
- 1:11:00Like there's something in the Bible that I recall reading, but
- 1:11:03I can't remember what part of the Bible, but the iron and
- 1:11:06tools that like came from like the land of the Philistines they
- 1:11:10were using that they. Had all that stuff.
- 1:11:12But they didn't let the Israelites have it because they
- 1:11:15didn't want him to rebel. But it came from them.
- 1:11:18It came from those countries or nations that God said to Israel,
- 1:11:23wipe them out. But these people had these
- 1:11:26weapons. Where did they get that from?
- 1:11:29Did they get that from something from the heavenly realm that had
- 1:11:33greater knowledge? Were the Egyptians able to make
- 1:11:37the pyramids because they were advised by some angelic fallen
- 1:11:43Angel that had that had that those resources?
- 1:11:47Like how did these areas have this information that nobody
- 1:11:51else had? Just think about that and pray
- 1:11:54about that. And there is a book that is that
- 1:11:58is referenced in the Bible. Like we can't, we can't say that
- 1:12:02everything in here is true, but just think about it.
- 1:12:06All the things that God says are horrible, that are bad, that we
- 1:12:09should stay away from, were supposedly taught to human
- 1:12:15beings by fallen angels. I'm going to read this again.
- 1:12:19So the book of Enoch, specifically Chapter 7 and 8,
- 1:12:22describes fallen angels known as watchers, teaching humanity
- 1:12:26forbidden arts including metallurgy, weapons and jewelry,
- 1:12:31cosmetics, sorcery, astrology and divination.
- 1:12:35Led by Azazel and Shem Hasi. This knowledge corrupted mankind
- 1:12:41for restoring extreme violence, vanity, and sexual immorality.
- 1:12:47If you look at any of the like depictions of ancient Egypt,
- 1:12:51think about all their heavy eye makeup on and all of their like.
- 1:12:55Like if you talk about cosmetics, you it seems like
- 1:12:58they must have come from Egypt because everybody in in at least
- 1:13:04Hollywood's depictions. I don't know that we necessarily
- 1:13:07have pictures back there, but they're all heavily made-up.
- 1:13:10Even the men were are shown with heavy makeup on.
- 1:13:14So is that the result of fallen angels?
- 1:13:18Just something to think about. OK.
- 1:13:20Weaponry and metalworking. Azazel taught the creation of
- 1:13:25swords, knives, Shields, and breastplates.
- 1:13:30He taught the creation. He taught mankind about swords,
- 1:13:34knives, Shields and breastplates.
- 1:13:36Think about that. God is a God of love.
- 1:13:39God is a God of peace who brings in strife, who wants to destroy.
- 1:13:46It's Satan, and he's deceived, manipulated, whatever you want
- 1:13:50to say. Other fallen angels to do the
- 1:13:54same with him, to join him in his battle against humans, to
- 1:13:58destroy us. Beautification and vanity.
- 1:14:02Instruction in creating jewelry, bracelets, and using cosmetics
- 1:14:06like antimony or eye makeup for ornamentation.
- 1:14:10Magic and sorcery techniques involving charms, spells, and
- 1:14:16root cutting. Medicine or sorcery.
- 1:14:19Astrology and astronomy. Knowledge of the stars, moon and
- 1:14:24sun signs. Forbidden knowledge.
- 1:14:26Divination, which is interpreting omens and earth
- 1:14:32signs. The influx of forbidden
- 1:14:35knowledge combined with the procreation of the giants or the
- 1:14:41Nephilim resulted in widespread corruption that prompted God to
- 1:14:45initiate the great flood. So the Nephilim, if you haven't
- 1:14:52heard about what they were, I think it's Genesis chapter 3
- 1:14:55where it talks about the sons of God.
- 1:14:57Now remember Jesus said scripture cannot be set aside
- 1:15:01and these apparent, you know that some created beings were
- 1:15:05called sons of God. Those sons of gods in the
- 1:15:09heavenly realms took human women and procreated with them, and
- 1:15:17the offspring that resulted were giants.
- 1:15:22The Bible talks about people being maybe 13 feet tall, 9 feet
- 1:15:27tall, and that some of them had six fingers, so they were not
- 1:15:32what God intended for creation. But it did happen and apparently
- 1:15:38that is the reason behind the great flood and God, it says
- 1:15:44that God found eight people that hadn't succumbed to this and
- 1:15:51that was Noah and his family that he put on the ark to give
- 1:15:54humanity a new start. So he had to destroy the earth
- 1:15:59to get rid of what these fallen angels had corrupted on earth.
- 1:16:05Just like Satan at the very beginning deceived Adam and Eve
- 1:16:09and and and you know, sin entered into the world as a
- 1:16:13result of that. Then the fallen angels start
- 1:16:17doing this with people and then things get crazy and God has to
- 1:16:22flood the whole earth to get rid of it.
- 1:16:26But then it also says that the Nephilim were there before the
- 1:16:29flood and afterwards. So apparently this has happened
- 1:16:33again. So I don't know, but just these
- 1:16:39wild things that you would never think of.
- 1:16:41But today it's almost like these things are being revealed to
- 1:16:44people, even within government when they start talking about
- 1:16:48there's some strange stuff. So anyway, this is not just
- 1:16:51fantasy. This is in the Bible.
- 1:16:54It's talked about, like I said, Genesis chapter 3 talks about
- 1:16:57it, the king of Ogg and Saigon I it talks about in the Bible how
- 1:17:02his bed was either 9 or 13 feet tall.
- 1:17:05This is who David went against. The Goliath, the land of the
- 1:17:09Philistines had a lot of these giant people.
- 1:17:12This is what all the people, the tribes of Israel were afraid
- 1:17:16going into the Canaanite territories because they were
- 1:17:19giants. And they said that we looked
- 1:17:22like the Israelites thought they look like grasshoppers compared
- 1:17:25to these people. They were so much bigger.
- 1:17:28They were probably Nephilim that were living there that God said
- 1:17:31go wipe them out. We just don't.
- 1:17:34This stuff is not taught and but if you look into Scripture, you
- 1:17:38see there's evidence in it. The Bible is true, the Bible is
- 1:17:41real, but people skim over some of these details and so you lose
- 1:17:46some of this. But these, these other books,
- 1:17:48while we cannot believe all of what's in there, it does make
- 1:17:53sense of what is written in the Bible.
- 1:17:56So I think that really concludes everything.
- 1:18:00I mean, tying this all back to Zechariah, we have the flying
- 1:18:03scroll. We have, you know, curses for
- 1:18:07idolatry. If people are wrapped up into
- 1:18:09these false religions, that is from the enemy.
- 1:18:14We see that these. That the heavenly realms have
- 1:18:17have sent. They have.
- 1:18:19There has been some angelic beings coming to the earth.
- 1:18:22It is, it is written about in the Bible.
- 1:18:27It's not a made-up story. They do exist and people are
- 1:18:31just ignorant because it's not something that you would go into
- 1:18:35a normal church and hear about. But this is real, this is true
- 1:18:40and we need to be aware of it. And why should be we be aware of
- 1:18:46it? Just that our relationship and
- 1:18:48our confidence and our security and our comfort, all of that,
- 1:18:54our peace, everything. We don't have anything to fear.
- 1:18:57None of the stuff that I talked about, even though it sounds
- 1:19:00like, you know, they're, they're the supernatural entities or
- 1:19:04these heavenly entities that have different powers than we
- 1:19:07do. If we have the Holy Spirit in
- 1:19:10us, we are more powerful. In fact, in the end it says
- 1:19:14that. Do you not know that we will
- 1:19:16judge the angels? That's what it says.
- 1:19:19I think it's somewhere where Paul wrote that, and I can't
- 1:19:21remember what book it's in, but you can look that up, that we
- 1:19:24will judge the angels. Humans will judge the angels.
- 1:19:27We don't have anything to fear. When we have the Holy Spirit
- 1:19:32within us. There is nothing to fear.
- 1:19:35We have the authority and the power of God in the name of
- 1:19:39Jesus. So if you have any fear, make
- 1:19:44sure that you've surrendered your life, that you say that you
- 1:19:48invite God, that you invite the Holy Spirit into your life, that
- 1:19:52you believe in Jesus and you take action as a result of that.
- 1:19:57Our actions indicate whether we truly believe this or not.
- 1:20:02And God is not after a religious person who checks all the boxes
- 1:20:07and say, I go to church every Sunday and I give to the poor
- 1:20:10and that is I'm showing love. I mean, that's, that's nice.
- 1:20:16But are you submitted? Are you obedient to God?
- 1:20:19Obedience is really key because God is Lord of us.
- 1:20:24And that's a struggle that every single human being will have
- 1:20:27because we don't want necessarily to have somebody
- 1:20:30ruling over us, but we need to humble ourselves and say, yes,
- 1:20:35God, you are good, You are just, and I want you to rule over me
- 1:20:39and I will submit to what you say I need to do.
- 1:20:44And that's what God's looking for.
- 1:20:46God is looking for people who are submitted to him who love
- 1:20:51him back. Jesus said if you love me, you
- 1:20:53will obey my commands. So obedience is tied to love.
- 1:20:59It's we can't just be religious, obedient people and think that
- 1:21:05all of our good deeds get us into heaven.
- 1:21:06No, we have to recognize it was the Son of God, Jesus Christ,
- 1:21:11who made it possible for us to be in God's Kingdom.
- 1:21:15But how do we respond to that? What do we do in response to
- 1:21:20that? That matters.
- 1:21:22That's going to seal our destiny.
- 1:21:24Nobody can do it for us, not any of our acts, nothing.
- 1:21:27But how do we respond to God? So this is something if, if you
- 1:21:32found this beneficial, please share this with other people
- 1:21:35because I think it's so important.
- 1:21:37And there are things that in here that people don't talk
- 1:21:40about very often. And so a lot of people are
- 1:21:42probably not aware of this, but it's, it's in the Bible, it's
- 1:21:47true. And I believe God wants us to
- 1:21:50know this. So anyway, I hope this was
- 1:21:54beneficial for you. If it was, please share this
- 1:21:56with other people. If you're not subscribed, please
- 1:21:59subscribe because I do like to get deep in the scripture and I
- 1:22:01want to stay in the scripture every day because that brings us
- 1:22:05closer to God and more revelations happen as a result
- 1:22:08of it. We start seeing things we hadn't
- 1:22:10seen before. So overtime, God reveals more to
- 1:22:14us. So I, I asked, I ask for the
- 1:22:17Holy Spirit to enter into every single person who listens to
- 1:22:22this into their lives that they are willing to accept Jesus and
- 1:22:27believe Jesus. And I pray to God that the Holy
- 1:22:30Spirit come into your life and give you strength, comfort, and
- 1:22:36just remain with you until the day that Jesus returns for his
- 1:22:40people. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
