• 0:02
for April 9 2025 your two-minute play of
• 0:06
the day for applying God's word in your
• 0:08
life so let's huddle up and hear today's
• 0:11
play from 1 Peter 4 which says "You have
• 0:14
spent enough time in the past doing what
• 0:16
pagans choose to do living in debauchery
• 0:20
  lust drunkenness orgies krowing and
• 0:23
  detestable idolatry they're surprised
• 0:25
that you do not join them in their
• 0:27
reckless wild living and they heap abuse
• 0:30
on you but they will have to give
• 0:32
account to him who is ready to judge the
• 0:34
living and the dead for this is the
• 0:36
reason the gospel was preached even to
• 0:38
those who are now dead so that they
• 0:40
might be judged according to human
• 0:42
standards in regard to the body but live
• 0:44
according to God in regard to the spirit
• 0:48
how we live reflects what we believe
• 0:50
about God and his judgment of us while
• 0:53
  most people think they're essentially
• 0:55
good they do whatever they please
• 0:57
assuming God will accept them the
• 0:59
Christian goes to God's word scripture
• 1:02
to know what God defines as good in
• 1:04
order to obey his commands so that they
• 1:06
will be accepted by God on their day of
• 1:08
reckoning how foolish to gamble on
• 1:11
eternity by assuming we inherently know
• 1:14
what is good and that we are indeed good
• 1:17
the Bible's premise is that we are born
• 1:20
sinful our bodies coming into this world
• 1:22
corrupt with the DNA of rebellion
• 1:25
against God and man locked into them
• 1:28
made obvious to everyone in the behavior
• 1:30
of a child and left unrestrained in the
• 1:33
evil behavior of so many this is why no
• 1:36
one is born a Christian and why everyone
• 1:39
must be born again to become a Christian
• 1:42
as Jesus said even when we become
• 1:44
Christians this body will die because of
• 1:47
that sinful DNA further proving that it
• 1:50
resides within us but our spirit will
• 1:53
live in eternity with God in heaven and
• 1:56
then with a new body upon the new earth
• 1:58
when Jesus returns and establish his
• 2:01
kingdom forever with all those who have
• 2:03
ever loved him knowing this the
• 2:06
Christian must live as Jesus did no
• 2:09
longer engaging the evil practices of
• 2:11
our culture and suffering their ridicule
• 2:14
and scorn for refusing to do so all of
• 2:17
us who claim Jesus is Lord should suffer
• 2:19
in the same way to some degree for the
• 2:22
world despises those who call their good
• 2:25
evil and refuse to participate in their
• 2:27
evil ways this scripture defines God's
• 2:30
requirements for us and not the majority
• 2:32
of opinions or opinions drumed up by the
• 2:36
media and the educational system of our
• 2:38
country what we listen to will determine
• 2:41
how we live and how we live will
• 2:43
determine where we spend our eternity
