- 0:00Speaker 1: From Hollywood to you. Thank you for listening to us.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Seacrest!
- 0:04Speaker 1: On air, on air, on air with Ryan Seacrest. Dominic Fife, 102.7,
- 0:11Speaker 1: Kiss FM. Good morning, good to see you guys.
- 0:14Speaker 4: Hey.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Hi, and welcome to iHeartRadio Music Festival Eve. This is it.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I'm excited.
- 0:21Speaker 5: We made it.
- 0:22Speaker 6: We love an Eve.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I gotta tell you real quick, I brought in this
- 0:25Speaker 1: little ice pack because I was working out before the
- 0:28Speaker 1: show and I was boxing. And my guy, the guy
- 0:32Speaker 1: that spars with me, trains me, hit me in the face.
- 0:36Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't know how long you're supposed to put ice
- 0:39Speaker 1: on your forehead. And I just got done like 45
- 0:42Speaker 1: minutes ago, but I didn't get ice on it fast enough,
- 0:44Speaker 1: so I brought it in. Okay. Tubbs, you wrestle or
- 0:48Speaker 1: what are you, jiu-jitsu? You ever get knocked in the face? Yeah,
- 0:51Speaker 1: you know, things happen.
- 0:52Speaker 5: But first of all, you should keep your hands up
- 0:54Speaker 5: so you don't get hit.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Tubbs. With all due respect, I'm not training for a match.
- 1:03Speaker 1: I'm trying to stay in shape. And so the guy
- 1:05Speaker 1: shouldn't have been near my face. So I think it
- 1:08Speaker 1: was just we both moved in the wrong direction at
- 1:11Speaker 1: the same time. And boom, he popped it. So I
- 1:13Speaker 1: brought in this and then I brought my lunch cooler box.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I don't know which one is better.
- 1:17Speaker 5: Yeah, but you've got to ice it for like 20 minutes.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Yeah, you want to put the ice on it 20 minutes.
- 1:22Speaker 1: And then heat pack works well too. I don't have
- 1:25Speaker 1: a heat pack with me. A tub's a heat pack.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I thought it was just constricting. You want to get
- 1:31Speaker 1: the blood vessels to constrict.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that's what they say. That's a big,
- 1:37Speaker 5: big bump you got right there.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Really?
- 1:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I can see it.
- 1:41Speaker 5: Now I can see it when you go sideways.
- 1:42Speaker 6: Do you want to borrow my... I have a heating
- 1:44Speaker 6: pad for my cramps.
- 1:47Speaker 1: That doesn't sound right for me.
- 1:49Speaker 7: Why?
- 1:49Speaker 6: It's just a little heating pad.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Is it really?
- 1:51Speaker 1: You can see the bump?
- 1:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I think that's just my forehead. I think it's just
- 1:57Speaker 1: my forehead.
- 1:58Speaker 6: It's not your forehead.
- 2:00Speaker 8: We've seen your forehead for several years.
- 2:03Speaker 1: I didn't hear any moments of, wow, that's impressive that
- 2:05Speaker 1: you were having an intense sort of sparring moment for
- 2:09Speaker 1: your boxing class this morning.
- 2:11Speaker 5: I'm kind of like, why was it even that intense?
- 2:15Speaker 1: Well, I just because he hit me in the face. Look,
- 2:18Speaker 1: I'm going to stop with these high risk sports.
- 2:21Speaker 8: Yeah, and also, like, don't they tell you what to punch?
- 2:23Speaker 8: They aren't punching, I thought. Like, every time I've done it,
- 2:26Speaker 8: they tell you one, two, three.
- 2:27Speaker 5: Right, they have the pads like this.
- 2:28Speaker 6: Yeah, like, he's not lunging at me.
- 2:31Speaker 1: He lunged at me. Anyway, we'll see if it goes
- 2:34Speaker 1: away by the festival. It's Kiss FM. So here's the
- 2:40Speaker 1: story with the roses. She and her husband work in
- 2:43Speaker 1: the same building, and they recently got called in. HR
- 2:47Speaker 1: called them in for something she claims they didn't do.
- 2:50Speaker 1: but he did. So it was like, who's the other
- 2:53Speaker 1: woman that got called in and HR thought it was
- 2:57Speaker 1: his wife, but apparently it was not. I think that's
- 2:59Speaker 1: what the story is.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Gotcha.
- 3:01Speaker 1: So Tanya, you just got back from the dentist.
- 3:04Speaker 4: I did.
- 3:04Speaker 6: I had my normal, whatever cleaning.
- 3:08Speaker 8: And I, I don't, I'm sure other people feel the
- 3:12Speaker 8: exact same way, but the one tool that they use
- 3:14Speaker 8: in the very beginning that like scrapes and also like.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yes, it's like fingernails on a chalkboard. I can't stand it.
- 3:21Speaker 6: It makes my skin crawl.
- 3:23Speaker 8: Like I get, I have to actually like meditate and like,
- 3:26Speaker 8: like disassociate mentally to like not.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Because it's a hook it's a hook that's scraping raw
- 3:33Speaker 1: bone yeah that's what it says scraping the bone.
- 3:36Speaker 8: Yes and so it's really just the sound like i'm
- 3:38Speaker 8: not in pain at the dentist it's the sound that
- 3:41Speaker 8: just like really just makes my body shiver and so
- 3:44Speaker 8: i was like maybe i can bring those like noise
- 3:47Speaker 8: canceling headphones that i have like those big ones but
- 3:49Speaker 8: then i'm like is that rude to my dentist because
- 3:51Speaker 8: i do feel like sometimes she's like talking to me.
- 3:54Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's not like you can talk back to her.
- 3:55Speaker 1: You can't speak back.
- 3:57Speaker 7: I do.
- 3:57Speaker 6: I'll take the thing out, you know, the suction out.
- 3:59Speaker 2: No, no, no, no.
- 3:59Speaker 1: They don't expect it. I've already been through this. Here's
- 4:02Speaker 1: what I do. When I arrive, I say hi. I
- 4:05Speaker 1: say hello to everybody there. And then I say, you
- 4:08Speaker 1: don't mind. I'm going to listen to a book on audio.
- 4:11Speaker 1: And then I put my headphones in and I'm just
- 4:15Speaker 1: there the whole time listening to a book on audio.
- 4:16Speaker 1: And they're actually used to it. A lot of people
- 4:19Speaker 1: do that so they don't have to hear. And actually,
- 4:22Speaker 1: it's like... The hygienist appreciates the fact that they don't
- 4:26Speaker 1: have to talk to you.
- 4:27Speaker 6: You think?
- 4:28Speaker 9: My dentist gives me Bose sunglasses so that one, it's
- 4:33Speaker 9: not like super bright for me. And they have you
- 4:35Speaker 9: can listen to music with them. I can connect it
- 4:37Speaker 9: to my phone via Bluetooth.
- 4:39Speaker 1: So it's standard operating procedure to walk in and actually
- 4:42Speaker 1: say you don't. really want to engage and they're fine
- 4:47Speaker 1: with that.
- 4:47Speaker 6: It's not rude to me, but I need to get.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Rid of carrying all the guilt.
- 4:50Speaker 6: I know, but I think I'm going to try it.
- 4:52Speaker 1: That is something you should not feel guilty about. Just
- 4:54Speaker 1: walk in, own it, say hi for two minutes and
- 4:57Speaker 1: then say, now I'm going to listen to this book.
- 4:59Speaker 5: Are you still driving down to Long Beach for this dentist?
- 5:02Speaker 6: Not Long Beach, Redondo Beach. Okay, It's my uncle.
- 5:08Speaker 10: Oh, it's your uncle?
- 5:08Speaker 1: Oh, so you get a deal.
- 5:09Speaker 5: It's not a deal.
- 5:10Speaker 10: Is it free?
- 5:11Speaker 3: No, it's not.
- 5:11Speaker 6: I mean, it's like I have dental insurance.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Well, then he's not your uncle.
- 5:13Speaker 3: What?
- 5:14Speaker 1: But does he take care of you?
- 5:15Speaker 4: You get in.
- 5:16Speaker 1: You get special appointments.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Yes, yes.
- 5:18Speaker 1: That's why.
- 5:18Speaker 6: I can go whenever I need.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 5:19Speaker 5: Look at that drive.
- 5:20Speaker 7: No. I know.
- 5:21Speaker 11: I know.
- 5:21Speaker 5: The drive is brutal. My dentist is right here in
- 5:23Speaker 5: Toluca Lake.
- 5:23Speaker 6: An hour and 15 minutes to get to him.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Stop carrying unnecessary guilt, Tanya Rad.
- 5:29Speaker 5: See, that's more guilt. It's like dentist guilt.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Dishes at the resort. JB, Kiss FM, 740, Ryan's Roses.
- 5:37Speaker 1: What is up with the mosquitoes in LA? The activity
- 5:41Speaker 1: is too much. It's higher than, it feels like it's
- 5:43Speaker 1: more aggressive as well. They're just hungry and they're munching.
- 5:48Speaker 1: And there's an explosion of them, right?
- 5:51Speaker 4: Ew, munching.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Why so many now? Humidity? What is it, Sisney? You
- 5:55Speaker 1: were looking at this. I don't know.
- 5:56Speaker 5: I'm not the expert on this.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Well, you're the one that got eaten up. Look at
- 5:59Speaker 1: the picture of her legs.
- 6:00Speaker 6: I know.
- 6:01Speaker 1: She sent us a picture of her legs that are
- 6:03Speaker 1: barely there after all of the red bump bites.
- 6:06Speaker 9: I sent it because I'm like, we need to discuss
- 6:08Speaker 9: this because I'm sure I'm not the only one that's
- 6:10Speaker 9: being eaten alive.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Do they generally come for your pheromones, for your aroma?
- 6:15Speaker 1: Do they generally go after you?
- 6:16Speaker 9: I don't, not necessarily. And I thought I really made
- 6:18Speaker 9: it through, like, the whole summer not really getting bit.
- 6:21Speaker 9: And then all of a sudden, this last weekend, it
- 6:23Speaker 9: was like boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Boom, boom.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:25Speaker 6: And Labor Day weekend was really bad, too.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 6:29Speaker 1: The weather, I think, that has a lot to do
- 6:33Speaker 1: with it, the time of year, obviously. So what do
- 6:35Speaker 1: you do to avoid mosquitoes? I just try and find
- 6:38Speaker 1: somebody to put next to me that they like better.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 6:42Speaker 8: I tried spraying my legs with Purell or like putting
- 6:46Speaker 8: alcohol on them.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Does that work?
- 6:49Speaker 6: I don't think so.
- 6:49Speaker 5: Well, obviously the bug spray like off.
- 6:51Speaker 9: You can't like have that on you.
- 6:54Speaker 5: All the time. I just don't like the smell.
- 6:56Speaker 1: You know, I don't mind it. It reminds me of
- 6:58Speaker 1: Boy Scout camp. It reminds me of my days growing
- 7:01Speaker 1: up when I used to go out in the woods
- 7:03Speaker 1: and camp. So how many bites did you get?
- 7:05Speaker 5: I got at least 25 bites on one leg.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:08Speaker 6: And they're really itchy.
- 7:09Speaker 1: It's so crazy.
- 7:10Speaker 5: It's insane.
- 7:11Speaker 8: Somebody told me to take Irish spring bars of soap
- 7:15Speaker 8: and grate them around your backyard.
- 7:18Speaker 5: I know.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Really?
- 7:20Speaker 1: Like grated Parmesan cheese?
- 7:22Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:22Speaker 5: And you put it in the perimeter of your house, apparently.
- 7:25Speaker 6: So they'll stay away.
- 7:26Speaker 5: And they're not supposed to come.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I heard just wear yoga pants. They can't really get
- 7:31Speaker 1: in there.
- 7:31Speaker 5: No, that's false.
- 7:32Speaker 1: They will bite through. They will get in the yoga pants?
- 7:35Speaker 1: They'll get through the yoga pants? What about denim?
- 7:37Speaker 6: I think denim's good.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I felt them go through denim before. How do those
- 7:42Speaker 1: little things have whatever they have to get through denim?
- 7:45Speaker 8: Have you seen those long snouts of theirs?
- 7:47Speaker 6: They're so long.
- 7:48Speaker 9: And I also think that this was just like one
- 7:50Speaker 9: that was like in my pant the whole night or something.
- 7:52Speaker 1: It's just like, oh my gosh, a mosquito in my pant.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Now I sleep without a pant. And I do sometimes
- 7:58Speaker 1: think about that happening. You know when you close your
- 8:02Speaker 1: lights down and then you hear it? You hear one? Yeah,
- 8:04Speaker 1: you hear the buzzing sound of one.
- 8:06Speaker 5: And it keeps hitting the mirrors in the room.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Yes.
- 8:08Speaker 1: And then what do you do? Do you wake up,
- 8:11Speaker 1: turn on the lights and get it? Or you just
- 8:13Speaker 1: risk it?
- 8:13Speaker 5: No, you have to get it. I wouldn't be able
- 8:15Speaker 5: to sleep. No, if I can hear it.
- 8:17Speaker 3: I know.
- 8:19Speaker 1: And then it buzzes right by you. Your legs look fine. Actually,
- 8:21Speaker 1: I'm looking at your legs now. They look fine.
- 8:24Speaker 5: It's getting better.
- 8:25Speaker 1: At least you're married. You don't have to market your legs. Sure.
- 8:31Speaker 1: It's 102.7. It's Kiss FM.
- 8:34Speaker 4: All right.
- 8:34Speaker 1: So I got a quote of the day. And then
- 8:36Speaker 1: one of these articles that popped into my feed here.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I know Tanya has a secret stash of words that
- 8:43Speaker 1: she's learned from her husband who's a lawyer that she
- 8:45Speaker 1: throws out every once in a while.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 9: She likes to read the dictionary and think of a
- 8:49Speaker 9: new word to incorporate into her vocabulary.
- 8:51Speaker 1: And then she says it.
- 8:52Speaker 5: Not true.
- 8:53Speaker 1: She overuses it.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:54Speaker 1: And then she waits a beat when she says it
- 8:57Speaker 1: for us to react to her saying it.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Uh-huh.
- 8:58Speaker 9: Absolutely.
- 8:59Speaker 6: Absolutely.
- 9:00Speaker 1: And you know what show I was watching called, is
- 9:03Speaker 1: it The Gentleman? I was watching The Gentleman.
- 9:05Speaker 5: Yeah, did you like it?
- 9:06Speaker 1: I loved it. But the way they speak proper English,
- 9:09Speaker 1: British proper English, is incredible. I mean, it's English, but
- 9:13Speaker 1: it's words we don't use here.
- 9:15Speaker 9: I know.
- 9:16Speaker 1: I have to look up the English words they're using
- 9:19Speaker 1: to understand what they're saying. But here is what was
- 9:22Speaker 1: in the article. These words, I think simple to pretty
- 9:25Speaker 1: much remember, can make you seem... Like you know more
- 9:30Speaker 1: of what you're talking about. And I am an imposter,
- 9:33Speaker 1: so I'm happy to carry around these things and throw
- 9:35Speaker 1: them out when I can.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Well, well, well.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Accolades. One. Accolades.
- 9:40Speaker 5: Instead of saying awards? All the accolades.
- 9:42Speaker 1: All the accolades. You know, all the credit, all the awards,
- 9:45Speaker 1: all the accolades, all the celebrations. I brevity is the
- 9:48Speaker 1: next one. I learned this when I was starting as
- 9:52Speaker 1: a DJ working at star 98.7 now alt and then
- 9:55Speaker 1: kiss FM at the beginning. There was a guy way
- 9:58Speaker 1: back in the day named John Ivy, John Ivy.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Our boss.
- 10:00Speaker 1: He was a program director. And he used to always
- 10:03Speaker 1: say to me at the beginning, Ryan, think of your
- 10:06Speaker 1: breaks using brevity. Brevity. And I didn't know what that meant.
- 10:11Speaker 1: So I said, of course, in the meeting, I went
- 10:12Speaker 1: and looked it up. And basically it means short, get
- 10:14Speaker 1: to the point, simple. You know, brevity is the key.
- 10:17Speaker 1: And Anomaly. It is another one that you can throw
- 10:22Speaker 1: out there and it'll make you sound like, you know,
- 10:26Speaker 1: you know, maybe what you're talking about. Do you know
- 10:27Speaker 1: what the anomaly is? I mean, it's like one of
- 10:29Speaker 1: a kind. It's right. It's out of the ordinary. Like,
- 10:32Speaker 1: let's see.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Sisney.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Is Sisney an anomaly? I guess you could be.
- 10:38Speaker 5: My name is, I guess.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Does that work, Mark? Her name is an anomaly.
- 10:45Speaker 6: The fact that we have to ask.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I know what it means.
- 10:49Speaker 6: We shouldn't be using it.
- 10:50Speaker 1: But you know when you're talking to people and sometimes
- 10:52Speaker 1: you want to use a word that you think you
- 10:54Speaker 1: know what it means, but you detour right away because
- 10:56Speaker 1: you're not quite sure? Right. I do that a lot.
- 10:58Speaker 1: So accolades, brevity, anomaly, throw them out there today.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Those are the most popular to make you sound even
- 11:03Speaker 1: a little bit smarter. Today's quote. A quote every day.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Beside my bed, I have a book of quotes.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Silence. All right.
- 11:14Speaker 1: What's beside your bed?
- 11:16Speaker 5: Candle.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I have a candle, too.
- 11:19Speaker 5: My little charging dock for my phone.
- 11:22Speaker 4: That's a disaster.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Here's a quote. If we avoid conflict, we also avoid intimacy.
- 11:28Speaker 5: Is that right?
- 11:29Speaker 1: It's an anomaly. That's the quote. If we avoid conflict,
- 11:36Speaker 1: we also avoid intimacy.
- 11:38Speaker 5: In like a relationship with someone?
- 11:42Speaker 9: That makes sense.
- 11:44Speaker 1: This is KISS. Raven Lynette, KISS FM. After 7 o'clock,
- 11:47Speaker 1: Ryan's Rose's Sheen, her husband, got called into HR and
- 11:50Speaker 1: something went wrong. Tell you about that. 7.40. I'm paying
- 11:53Speaker 1: your bills next. Sissany, headline us. KISS FM Headlines with Sissany.
- 11:58Speaker 9: Well, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates for the first
- 12:01Speaker 9: time since 2023 in an effort to battle inflation.
- 12:05Speaker 4: The L.A.
- 12:06Speaker 9: Dodgers Foundation announced plans for a brand new set of
- 12:09Speaker 9: Dodgers Dreamfields in Altadena as the city continues to recover
- 12:13Speaker 9: from the Eaton Fire. A highly venomous sea snake washed
- 12:17Speaker 9: up on Crystal Cove in Orange County, and experts say
- 12:19Speaker 9: the warm water from El Nino could bring more tropical
- 12:23Speaker 9: creatures our way. And Trader Joe's Trick or Treat mini
- 12:26Speaker 9: canvas totes are returning this year, though there's no official
- 12:30Speaker 9: release date yet.
- 12:31Speaker 5: So don't start lining up.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I just love being here. Thank you for coming along
- 12:38Speaker 1: and hanging out with us. We have the best time together.
- 12:41Speaker 1: If you listen regularly, appreciate that. If you're new, hi,
- 12:44Speaker 1: I'm Ryan. This is Kiss, Sisney, Tanya, the back room.
- 12:47Speaker 1: We're all here. And what's strange, but I love this
- 12:50Speaker 1: part too, is that we do have a lot of
- 12:52Speaker 1: people that will call us for advice and advice in
- 12:55Speaker 1: things and categories we have no expertise in. And certainly
- 12:59Speaker 1: some of the stuff I say, I cannot execute in
- 13:02Speaker 1: my real life, but I can talk about it here.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I can sound more confident, especially relationship stuff. But this
- 13:08Speaker 1: is a friend issue here. Ashley is on the phone
- 13:11Speaker 1: and Ashley's in North Hollywood.
- 13:14Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Good morning, Ashley. So you have a little ticket dispute
- 13:18Speaker 1: concert ticket issue. What's happening?
- 13:21Speaker 10: Yeah. So I was going to a concert with a
- 13:24Speaker 10: friend and I had both tickets on my phone. And
- 13:28Speaker 10: so she was supposed to pick me up, but she
- 13:30Speaker 10: called and said she was running late and I was
- 13:32Speaker 10: worried I was going to miss the beginning of the show.
- 13:35Speaker 10: So I ended up Ubering there and just went into
- 13:40Speaker 10: the venue. But the problem was she couldn't get in
- 13:45Speaker 10: without her ticket. And there was absolutely no cell service inside.
- 13:51Speaker 10: So I couldn't send it to her. And she ended
- 13:56Speaker 10: up having to buy another ticket. And now she's requesting
- 14:01Speaker 10: the money from me for the replacement ticket and And
- 14:04Speaker 10: I feel like that's crazy because she was the one
- 14:07Speaker 10: who was late and made me Uber in the first place.
- 14:10Speaker 10: But she said, since I had her ticket, I should
- 14:12Speaker 10: have either waited for her or gone back outside to
- 14:14Speaker 10: meet her. So, yeah, I'm just wondering who's responsible for
- 14:18Speaker 10: the extra ticket, the person who was late or the
- 14:21Speaker 10: person who had the ticket?
- 14:23Speaker 1: Well, I think when you found out she was running late,
- 14:26Speaker 1: you should have come up with the plan then and
- 14:29Speaker 1: there in that moment to say, hey, look, she's going
- 14:32Speaker 1: to have to come out like she would say to you.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Or you're going to have to buy another ticket. Like,
- 14:36Speaker 1: I feel like you should address it right then and there. However,
- 14:38Speaker 1: I will say, and Ashley, you sound like a very
- 14:42Speaker 1: good human being, but I will say I would probably
- 14:45Speaker 1: have gone back out to get her in.
- 14:47Speaker 8: Or told the guy like, hey, I have my friend's ticket.
- 14:50Speaker 8: She's running a little bit late.
- 14:53Speaker 1: The guy, they don't usually listen when you ask for
- 14:55Speaker 1: stuff like that.
- 14:56Speaker 6: I know, but I do feel like it's on you.
- 14:57Speaker 6: Like you should have waited for her to.
- 14:59Speaker 5: Get there or sent the ticket before you went in.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Or just gone back out to get her in, if
- 15:05Speaker 1: you could have done that. So I want to say
- 15:07Speaker 1: that you're wrong. I mean, it's just you would have
- 15:15Speaker 1: missed a song or two, but it is your friend.
- 15:18Speaker 1: And yes, they were late, but all of my friends
- 15:20Speaker 1: are late. I'm so used to the only one being
- 15:22Speaker 1: there earlier on time that it's just like I'm conditioned
- 15:26Speaker 1: to know I've got to figure things out when people
- 15:28Speaker 1: run late.
- 15:28Speaker 4: So then I should... Pay her for the ticket then.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Or meet her halfway. Split it.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Split it, maybe. But make her feel bad.
- 15:42Speaker 6: Yeah, definitely make her feel bad for being late.
- 15:45Speaker 1: And don't invite her next time.
- 15:47Speaker 10: I like that part of it.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not big enough to end a friendship or
- 15:53Speaker 1: cause too much tension. But good luck. I'm glad you
- 15:55Speaker 1: got to see some of the show.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Okay, Ashley.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Bye-bye.
- 16:01Speaker 6: Bye.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I just know my friends run late. And I just
- 16:07Speaker 1: plan on whatever I've got to do to help out
- 16:10Speaker 1: because they're going to be running behind me. I mean,
- 16:12Speaker 1: my friends run like an hour behind sometimes. How can
- 16:14Speaker 1: you possibly be an hour late?
- 16:18Speaker 5: That is crazy.
- 16:20Speaker 1: And then not act like it's a big deal. I
- 16:22Speaker 1: would have an anxiety attack on the way if I
- 16:25Speaker 1: were an hour late.
- 16:26Speaker 5: Some people are just like that. It doesn't even phase them.
- 16:28Speaker 6: An hour is, I'm shook you're still friends with them.
- 16:33Speaker 1: No, I'm not. 102.7 Kiss FM. If you came for
- 16:41Speaker 1: Ryan's Roses, it's on the way. It's on deck actually next.
- 16:45Speaker 1: This is it. They work together. They got called into
- 16:48Speaker 1: HR for something they shouldn't have been doing. Problem is
- 16:52Speaker 1: he did it. She wasn't there, but HR thinks she
- 16:56Speaker 1: was there. So we'll get to the bottom of that.
- 16:59Speaker 1: So driving and your phone, it's very dangerous. It's distracting.
- 17:04Speaker 1: You got to be very careful. But also walking. I'm
- 17:07Speaker 1: guilty of walking down the street, looking down and not
- 17:10Speaker 1: looking up and almost running into people. It's very common,
- 17:14Speaker 1: especially if you're crossing the street in traffic. It's dangerous.
- 17:18Speaker 1: You got your headphones in. it's dangerous to not be
- 17:21Speaker 1: paying attention. And I think overseas, somewhere in Europe, they've
- 17:25Speaker 1: actually outlawed it. You can't be looking down at your
- 17:28Speaker 1: phone while crossing a crosswalk.
- 17:30Speaker 9: Yeah, in Italy, they're actually considering this as a new
- 17:33Speaker 9: rule that would make it illegal.
- 17:35Speaker 5: To use your phone while you're crossing the street.
- 17:37Speaker 6: And you could be fined.
- 17:39Speaker 1: To looking down, yeah.
- 17:40Speaker 5: And you'd be fined 75 euros, which is kind of
- 17:43Speaker 5: like $ 90 here.
- 17:44Speaker 9: And I'm kind of torn because we all do this.
- 17:48Speaker 9: And I feel like it's kind of a good law.
- 17:51Speaker 9: Like we probably need it.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I think they tried. There's something going on in Montclair
- 17:55Speaker 1: where they do this or they've got some sort of
- 17:58Speaker 1: situation where I think that they might fine you or
- 18:00Speaker 1: warn you. But honestly, for safety, it's a good thing.
- 18:03Speaker 1: It's really strange though. how you know that a car
- 18:08Speaker 1: could be coming and you know that it is dangerous,
- 18:11Speaker 1: but for some reason you cannot get your brain to
- 18:14Speaker 1: pull your head up from that telephone until you finish
- 18:16Speaker 1: typing that sentence. What is that about?
- 18:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:18Speaker 9: And it's not even just crossing the streets. It's like
- 18:20Speaker 9: walking down the hallway here, leaving the building. Like our
- 18:24Speaker 9: eyeballs are just like attached to the screen.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I don't hate this because I'm ready for the big
- 18:31Speaker 1: backlash of us being off our screen. I'm ready for us.
- 18:34Speaker 1: to not be so addicted to the screen. You go
- 18:37Speaker 1: to any place, you go to a park, and you
- 18:40Speaker 1: just see people on their screens. They're not even looking
- 18:43Speaker 1: at what they should be looking at. You go to
- 18:44Speaker 1: a restaurant, same thing.
- 18:45Speaker 5: Nobody's talking to each other.
- 18:46Speaker 9: You're waiting at the doctor's office or something, and every
- 18:49Speaker 9: single person is just on their phone.
- 18:51Speaker 8: I will say, actually, I was at the vet the
- 18:53Speaker 8: other day, and I spoke to every single person in
- 18:56Speaker 8: the waiting room.
- 18:56Speaker 6: Not one person was on their phone.
- 18:59Speaker 1: And I spoke to them.
- 19:00Speaker 5: They were not on their phones either.
- 19:02Speaker 8: We all spoke to each other. Like it was, it
- 19:04Speaker 8: was like, so I've never had an experience like that.
- 19:06Speaker 8: That's why it stood out so much. But every single person.
- 19:10Speaker 9: You were at the vet, which you guys, they're holding
- 19:12Speaker 9: the dogs. And not only.
- 19:14Speaker 1: That, those are like the nicest, most normal human beings
- 19:17Speaker 1: are either at the farmer's market or the vet. So
- 19:20Speaker 1: those are the good people. This is interesting. 102.7 KISS FM.
- 19:23Speaker 1: About to make the Ryan's Roses call. So Haley and
- 19:25Speaker 1: her husband, they work together. They're married. They get called
- 19:28Speaker 1: in by HR to say, hey, look, you guys are,
- 19:32Speaker 1: your PDA is too much at the office. And the
- 19:35Speaker 1: other day in the parking garage, it's a little out
- 19:38Speaker 1: of hand. Now, no big deal, really, if they're married.
- 19:42Speaker 1: But Haley's saying, she didn't say it to HR. She's
- 19:45Speaker 1: saying to herself, wait, we didn't do that. We weren't
- 19:48Speaker 1: in the parking garage. Who's he doing that with?
- 19:52Speaker 4: Right now.
- 19:52Speaker 1: It seems risky to me to cheat in the same
- 19:54Speaker 1: building where your wife works. Doesn't it?
- 19:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I would say so, but I, I, I think
- 20:03Speaker 2: my husband has always kind of been like a risky guy.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Years ago, before we had our twin daughters, we always
- 20:10Speaker 2: used to kind of get wrapped up in the moment.
- 20:13Speaker 2: And he was into doing that where we might get caught.
- 20:18Speaker 2: And he and I haven't done anything like this since
- 20:23Speaker 2: before I got pregnant. But I just was shocked in HR.
- 20:28Speaker 2: It was like, fight me. or flight, I just froze.
- 20:32Speaker 2: We work in different towers, but the same workplace.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Haley, I need you to say, Ryan, you have my
- 20:38Speaker 1: permission to call, and then his name. Let's go.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Ryan, you have permission to call, and I'm willing to
- 20:50Speaker 2: deal with the consequences.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Haley, be very quiet. Sisney is going to offer him roses.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Let's find out who he's thinking about.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Is it you?
- 21:00Speaker 1: He sends them to you, romantic flowers, or somebody else.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Here we.
- 21:10Speaker 9: Go.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Hello?
- 21:14Speaker 5: Hi, is this Corey?
- 21:17Speaker 4: Yes. Hi, Corey.
- 21:19Speaker 5: My name is Ginny. I'm calling from the Valley Florist.
- 21:21Speaker 5: How are you doing?
- 21:23Speaker 7: Good.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Fine. Great.
- 21:25Speaker 9: I'm calling because we deliver here locally in surrounding areas
- 21:27Speaker 9: and we're offering a free promotion. It's a free dozen
- 21:30Speaker 9: red roses that you can send to anybody that you
- 21:32Speaker 9: want today.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Oh, free roses, huh?
- 21:35Speaker 9: They're absolutely free. I don't need cash from you. I
- 21:38Speaker 9: don't need billing info. It's not a subscription, anything like that.
- 21:41Speaker 9: We're just trying to promote our business. We do ask
- 21:43Speaker 9: if you're pleased with our arrangements that maybe you refer
- 21:45Speaker 9: us to friends and family down the road, but there
- 21:47Speaker 9: is no obligation.
- 21:47Speaker 4: Sounds great. And you know why?
- 21:53Speaker 11: Because I have the best wife in the world, and
- 21:56Speaker 11: she absolutely deserves them.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Amazing.
- 21:59Speaker 6: Okay, what's her name?
- 22:01Speaker 11: Please send them to Haley with a note that says,
- 22:05Speaker 11: to the best wife in the world, all my love, Corey.
- 22:09Speaker 5: Okay, hang on a second. In the world, love, Corey.
- 22:14Speaker 9: Okay.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Okay.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Corey, your voice is being broadcast on the radio, and
- 22:20Speaker 1: I'm questioning the way you just ordered those flowers. But
- 22:23Speaker 1: let me tell you what's happening. Your wife, Haley, is
- 22:25Speaker 1: on the line. Well, you wait a minute, Corey. Your
- 22:28Speaker 1: wife has reached out to me. We were not going
- 22:31Speaker 1: to do this. And now she's got us focused on
- 22:34Speaker 1: trying to find out what's going on with you and
- 22:36Speaker 1: another woman in the parking garage messing around at work.
- 22:40Speaker 1: You were called into H.R., It was your wife, but
- 22:44Speaker 1: it wasn't your wife. Who was it?
- 22:46Speaker 11: It's completely false. I mean, no, there is a case
- 22:51Speaker 11: of mistaken identity. Just a simple misunderstanding.
- 22:54Speaker 4: That's it.
- 22:55Speaker 1: But your wife was not in the garage making out
- 22:59Speaker 1: with you. Who was the other woman at work?
- 23:01Speaker 11: I have no idea why she would even think that.
- 23:03Speaker 11: She only thinks it.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Because you got caught. I have no idea how security
- 23:10Speaker 1: works in this building.
- 23:11Speaker 11: All I know is I'm not doing what you're accusing
- 23:14Speaker 11: me of doing.
- 23:16Speaker 7: Uh-huh.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Who is she? Just tell me who she is because
- 23:21Speaker 2: I know that HR is not 100% stupid enough to
- 23:26Speaker 2: mistake two people for One person, maybe, but who is she?
- 23:33Speaker 2: Just tell me.
- 23:35Speaker 10: Beautiful, beautiful.
- 23:36Speaker 11: I have never cheated on you, and I never will.
- 23:39Speaker 11: But why is HR clear it was you, and your
- 23:44Speaker 11: wife's clear she wasn't there?
- 23:46Speaker 1: Somebody had to be there with you.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 23:48Speaker 11: Again, I think there's just a mistake here. It's just
- 23:53Speaker 11: like HR could be a mistaken identity. I have no
- 23:57Speaker 11: idea how security works there. So it's like I don't
- 24:00Speaker 11: even know what's going on here.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Corey, you know what? I am going to go to
- 24:04Speaker 2: HR today and ask them just to show me the video.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Because for me, this is weird.
- 24:10Speaker 4: You know, stop manipulating.
- 24:14Speaker 11: Darling, you can waste your time and do whatever you want,
- 24:16Speaker 11: all right? Just like this stupid little phone call.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Well, of course, you're so confident. And I felt, by
- 24:21Speaker 1: the way, Corey, while we're at it, and I've got
- 24:23Speaker 1: you for another minute here, I thought you were disingenuous
- 24:24Speaker 1: with your card. Oh, wow.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Oh, you did?
- 24:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:30Speaker 1: The tone.
- 24:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I did.
- 24:30Speaker 1: I thought you were being a little wise.
- 24:33Speaker 4: Well, you know what? I don't give a shit what
- 24:35Speaker 4: you think, okay?
- 24:36Speaker 2: All right.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Well, that's great.
- 24:38Speaker 1: I didn't want to meet you today. I wasn't trying
- 24:39Speaker 1: to get involved in this. Your wife reached out because
- 24:41Speaker 1: she doesn't trust you, bro. Not my problem.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Okay, listen, darling.
- 24:45Speaker 11: I am not cheating on you, okay?
- 24:46Speaker 4: I'm going to make it as simple as possible.
- 24:47Speaker 11: And I think maybe you should wonder why you're having
- 24:50Speaker 11: such paranoid feelings all the time.
- 24:51Speaker 4: So let's just let these people go.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Why don't you guys talk about that?
- 24:54Speaker 4: We're out.
- 24:55Speaker 1: We're out.
- 24:55Speaker 11: I will see you at home later.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Good luck, Haley.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Good luck. Thank you, Haley, and I wish you the
- 24:59Speaker 1: best of luck. I hope it's all mistaken identity. 102.7
- 25:01Speaker 1: KISS FM, that's Ryan's Roses.
- 25:03Speaker 9: Show up on air.
- 25:10Speaker 1: On air with Ryan Seacrest. 102.7, it's KISS FM, Los Angeles.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Thanks for being here. Tomorrow, it's our iHeartRadio Music Festival.
- 25:18Speaker 1: We will be live on Disney Plus Hulu. Of course,
- 25:20Speaker 1: broadcasting here as well and all over iHeartRadio. Two big nights.
- 25:26Speaker 1: We will convene tomorrow together backstage. Tanya Cicely can't wait. Cute.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Let me grab Ronnie Henry. Now, Ronnie has joined us
- 25:37Speaker 1: here in the morning on a regular basis from the
- 25:40Speaker 1: back room to the streets of Duarte. This morning, he's
- 25:43Speaker 1: out with Free Gas. And interestingly, he had never done
- 25:46Speaker 1: this before. So at the beginning, people weren't quite sure
- 25:49Speaker 1: what Ronnie was approaching them to do and didn't know
- 25:53Speaker 1: if it was good news or bad news. But Ronnie,
- 25:55Speaker 1: you've really hit your stride out there giving away free gas.
- 25:58Speaker 7: Yes, I feel like I've got a good method now.
- 26:01Speaker 7: People are starting to trust me. So it's funny because
- 26:06Speaker 7: I'm here and I go up to this girl. Her
- 26:09Speaker 7: car is such a cute color. It's like a nice seal.
- 26:11Speaker 7: And I was like, hey, we would love to give
- 26:12Speaker 7: you free gas. Don't you know it's an electric car?
- 26:17Speaker 1: Why is she at the gas station?
- 26:20Speaker 4: She said she wanted to get a drink inside.
- 26:22Speaker 1: All right. So yeah, take a look at the cars,
- 26:26Speaker 1: make sure they do, you know, need a pump. And
- 26:28Speaker 1: Ronnie has picked random gas stations in Duarte this morning. Ronnie,
- 26:32Speaker 1: what's the vibe? What are you wearing?
- 26:35Speaker 4: I am actually, I look like you today.
- 26:37Speaker 7: I'm wearing like a nice mesh brown shirt and some
- 26:42Speaker 7: white pants.
- 26:43Speaker 1: How does that look like me?
- 26:45Speaker 7: Well, this is like the mesh you would wear. It's
- 26:48Speaker 7: not really the mesh I would wear. Obviously, I'm wearing it,
- 26:51Speaker 7: but it's not like my typical mesh. It's more like your...
- 26:54Speaker 7: I'll send you a picture. You'll see the vibe.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Oh, it's like vacation Ryan. Yeah, send me. Are you
- 26:58Speaker 1: going to be at the iHeartRadio Music Festival?
- 27:01Speaker 2: I am.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Do you want to do a side-by-side in mesh to post?
- 27:05Speaker 4: Oh, we should. Wait, do you want me to bring
- 27:08Speaker 4: you one of my shirts?
- 27:09Speaker 1: I do.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Okay.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I do.
- 27:12Speaker 4: And then we'll pack one for you.
- 27:14Speaker 1: We'll explain it. All right, let's go. Free gas. Who
- 27:16Speaker 1: are you going to get?
- 27:18Speaker 4: Okay.
- 27:18Speaker 7: I'm walking up to this guy right now. So then
- 27:22Speaker 7: by let's say, hi, my name is Ronnie. Do you
- 27:24Speaker 7: want free gas today? It's Ryan Seacrest on the phone.
- 27:26Speaker 4: No way.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Yes.
- 27:27Speaker 4: Yes. Okay. Okay. Stand by you guys.
- 27:29Speaker 1: That went well.
- 27:30Speaker 4: Hello.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Hi, what's your name?
- 27:33Speaker 4: Hey, it's Jonathan.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Jonathan Ryan Seacrest with you. One of 2.7 kiss FM.
- 27:38Speaker 1: You're on the air. How are you?
- 27:40Speaker 4: No way. I'm great. How are you?
- 27:42Speaker 1: Awesome, bro. So I've got Sisney, Tanya, everybody here on
- 27:45Speaker 1: the show. That's Ronnie. Ronnie works for us.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Hey.
- 27:48Speaker 4: Hey, Ronnie. Hey, Sisney.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Hi.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Hey.
- 27:52Speaker 4: How's it going?
- 27:53Speaker 1: Well, we're trying to help out with the high prices
- 27:56Speaker 1: of gas. So he's in Duarte this morning, Ronnie, just
- 27:59Speaker 1: pulling up to random gas stations, tapping people on the
- 28:02Speaker 1: shoulder like he did you, Jonathan, and we are going
- 28:04Speaker 1: to fill up your tank. I.
- 28:09Speaker 4: It's too early. I'm so shocked. That's awesome.
- 28:13Speaker 1: You got it, too. Tell me about yourself. Where are
- 28:15Speaker 1: you headed?
- 28:17Speaker 4: I'm just going to work right now. What do you do?
- 28:21Speaker 4: I work in a gym, just part-time.
- 28:24Speaker 1: What do you do in the gym? I love a gym.
- 28:27Speaker 4: I love a good gym, too.
- 28:28Speaker 7: I'm a fitness monitor, so we clean the equipment and
- 28:34Speaker 7: make sure people don't hurt themselves.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Nice.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Do people like not have the proper gym etiquette or
- 28:44Speaker 1: like cleanliness by not wiping down the equipment or putting
- 28:47Speaker 1: the weights back?
- 28:49Speaker 4: You would be surprised. Meaning?
- 28:53Speaker 8: No.
- 28:55Speaker 1: They don't. They make you do it.
- 28:57Speaker 4: No.
- 28:58Speaker 3: Yep.
- 28:59Speaker 4: And if there's something to trip on, they will trip
- 29:00Speaker 4: on it.
- 29:01Speaker 1: It doesn't matter where it is. I appreciate you accepting.
- 29:06Speaker 1: We're going to pump up your tank there. What are
- 29:09Speaker 1: you driving?
- 29:11Speaker 4: Oh, I have a 2005 Honda Civic. Done.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Fill it up. That guy right there, Ronnie Henry.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 29:17Speaker 1: He's going to fill it up for you. And Jonathan,
- 29:18Speaker 1: have a great day at work. And if you do
- 29:20Speaker 1: listen to Kiss, I hope you do. Thank you.
- 29:23Speaker 4: I do. Thank you so much, Ryan. Thank you, Ronnie.
- 29:25Speaker 1: You got it, brother.
- 29:26Speaker 4: Take care. Hello.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Ronnie, I love you doing this so much. It's like
- 29:32Speaker 1: giving me new life.
- 29:34Speaker 4: It's so much fun.
- 29:35Speaker 7: Literally, you guys, a tow truck is coming up to
- 29:37Speaker 7: the KISS vehicle, so I need to run and see
- 29:39Speaker 7: what happens.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Happens. Oh, no!
- 29:41Speaker 3: Okay, go, go, go, go.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Ronnie, don't get towed. All right, go. He's illegally parked.
- 29:46Speaker 1: There's never a dull moment with Ronnie.
- 29:47Speaker 5: Oh, my goodness.
- 29:49Speaker 1: So, hopefully, Ronnie's going to continue in Duarte to get
- 29:52Speaker 1: to another gas station. We'll tell you about that later.
- 29:54Speaker 1: It's 102.7. You're on KISS FM Los Angeles. So, Tanya,
- 30:00Speaker 1: trending report. So the question you're asking is, have you
- 30:02Speaker 1: ever felt like you were failing because of what you
- 30:05Speaker 1: see on social media?
- 30:06Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 30:07Speaker 8: And the reason why this conversation is being had right
- 30:10Speaker 8: now is because Love Island USA winner Trinity Tatum, she
- 30:13Speaker 8: was like the breakout star of this season of Love Island.
- 30:16Speaker 6: She was just a fan favorite. Everybody loves her.
- 30:19Speaker 8: Um, she did an interview with want magazine and opened
- 30:21Speaker 8: up about her life before the show when she was
- 30:24Speaker 8: 21 and working at home Depot. She said, I'd cry
- 30:27Speaker 8: before going into work because I'd see people my age
- 30:30Speaker 8: on social media, on yachts, in high rises with all
- 30:34Speaker 8: these bags and purses and think, what am I doing wrong?
- 30:37Speaker 8: She said a year ago today, I was 21 working
- 30:40Speaker 8: at home Depot, having a mental crisis, still living with
- 30:43Speaker 8: my mom and And a year later, I won a
- 30:46Speaker 8: very popular love show. I have an amazing boyfriend and
- 30:49Speaker 8: amazing support system. So when this was posted on social media,
- 30:52Speaker 8: it blew up because commenters were just saying stuff about
- 30:55Speaker 8: how basically how sad they are for today's 20 year olds,
- 30:59Speaker 8: because saying that that kind of comparison is wasn't as
- 31:02Speaker 8: intense when they were that age. Also saying that working
- 31:05Speaker 8: at Home Depot when you're 21 is a totally like.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Great job.
- 31:11Speaker 8: And I feel like because of what everybody's seeing on
- 31:14Speaker 8: social media, like what she was saying, people her age
- 31:16Speaker 8: on yachts and high rises with all these purses and
- 31:20Speaker 8: you feel like you're behind, even though you're just living
- 31:23Speaker 8: your totally normal, good life, you feel like you're failing.
- 31:26Speaker 8: And I think it's something that a lot of people
- 31:28Speaker 8: could relate to. So this social media clip really just
- 31:31Speaker 8: blew up.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I think there's backlash to people who post all that
- 31:34Speaker 1: kind of stuff. I mean, I don't think people want
- 31:37Speaker 1: to see all that kind of stuff because you know what? Generally,
- 31:40Speaker 1: it's just not real. It's not real life. I'm talking
- 31:42Speaker 1: about the flash, the glitz, the glamour. Generally, it's not
- 31:45Speaker 1: real life. And a lot of the times, it's not
- 31:48Speaker 1: even theirs. They literally are just, I don't know, renting
- 31:51Speaker 1: something or borrowing something to make it look like it's theirs.
- 31:54Speaker 5: Or they were invited.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Or they were invited, I guess, and they shoot weeks
- 31:58Speaker 1: worth of stuff to make you think that's their life.
- 32:00Speaker 1: It's not. And I almost feel like the more glamorous
- 32:03Speaker 1: it looks, the more I don't believe it's that person.
- 32:06Speaker 8: Yeah, but I feel like this happens. It's not even
- 32:09Speaker 8: just like the money and the flashing of all the things.
- 32:12Speaker 8: I feel like it happens in so many other aspects
- 32:15Speaker 8: of life. You know what I mean? People posting their bodies,
- 32:18Speaker 8: their workouts, their this. I mean, you could just go
- 32:20Speaker 8: on and on and on and on.
- 32:21Speaker 1: So having a job at the Home Depot is a
- 32:25Speaker 1: good job. Having a steady job to go to work
- 32:28Speaker 1: at a big company is a good job. My first
- 32:32Speaker 1: unofficial job was mowing lawns in the neighborhood. And I
- 32:37Speaker 1: would get up Saturday mornings and I would go mow
- 32:40Speaker 1: anybody's lawn, the neighbor's lawn. I get 10 in a day.
- 32:43Speaker 1: And I cram them all in. And I would charge extra.
- 32:46Speaker 1: You know when you mow the lawn and you can
- 32:48Speaker 1: go horizontal with the lawnmower? I charged a little extra
- 32:53Speaker 1: for diagonal. Ah, nice.
- 32:55Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 32:56Speaker 6: Ahead of your time.
- 32:57Speaker 1: It was like adding a topping at the yogurt store.
- 32:59Speaker 10: You know what I mean?
- 33:00Speaker 3: Uh-huh.
- 33:00Speaker 9: I started a babysitter's club when I was like 13
- 33:03Speaker 9: or 14 years old, which is crazy to think that
- 33:06Speaker 9: they trusted me to watch their children at that age.
- 33:08Speaker 9: But me and my friend Teresa, we made flyers and
- 33:10Speaker 9: we put them all over the neighborhood.
- 33:11Speaker 1: But that's great.
- 33:12Speaker 5: And we got jobs and we were babysitters.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Right.
- 33:15Speaker 1: But if we were to post up our mowing lawns
- 33:19Speaker 1: and your babysitter job, I think people would think that's great.
- 33:23Speaker 1: You don't need to be flashy.
- 33:24Speaker 4: It's real.
- 33:24Speaker 8: Even like my first job was the daily grind, the
- 33:26Speaker 8: coffee shop. And I'm thinking about that like now- I
- 33:30Speaker 8: don't know.
- 33:31Speaker 3: It does.
- 33:31Speaker 6: It does feel different now. And I get what Trinity's saying.
- 33:34Speaker 6: You know what I mean? Like I do.
- 33:35Speaker 8: I totally understand with what she's saying.
- 33:38Speaker 1: I get it. All right. That is the trending report. Next,
- 33:41Speaker 1: we're going to play a little game for Disneyland tickets.
- 33:43Speaker 1: You're on Kiss. Kiss FM this weekend. We are there.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Las Vegas live T-Mobile Arena. You'll hear it on the
- 33:51Speaker 1: air streaming on the iHeartRadio app and you can see it.
- 33:55Speaker 1: I'll be hosting the festival both nights on disney plus
- 33:59Speaker 1: and hulu very excited this is that mark how many
- 34:02Speaker 1: years 15 16 years we've been doing i think this
- 34:04Speaker 1: is 16 yeah 16 years of doing it and it
- 34:07Speaker 1: is so much fun so if you are going check
- 34:10Speaker 1: it out watch the live stream my mother will be
- 34:13Speaker 1: watching very excited my mom is so excited to watch
- 34:15Speaker 1: the live stream both nights uh let me grab mark
- 34:18Speaker 1: who is going to play for some disneyland tickets we
- 34:21Speaker 1: got a four pack here for mark good morning mark
- 34:24Speaker 1: how are you Good.
- 34:26Speaker 4: Good morning, Ryan.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Good morning, guys.
- 34:28Speaker 1: This is called Name That Disney Safety Announcement for a
- 34:32Speaker 1: four-pack of tickets. Name That Disneyland Safety Announcement. Have you
- 34:37Speaker 1: ever played this before?
- 34:40Speaker 4: Not the safety announcement.
- 34:41Speaker 7: No, me either.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Me either. It's a first for me. So you got
- 34:46Speaker 1: to get three right before you get three wrong. Basically...
- 34:50Speaker 1: You just have to name the ride, okay? We'll play
- 34:53Speaker 1: the safety announcement. You just have to name the ride.
- 34:56Speaker 4: Are you ready? I'm ready. Let's hear it.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Here we go with the first one. Don't pull down
- 35:02Speaker 1: the bar. It will float down with ease.
- 35:06Speaker 3: And keep a close watch on all children, please.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Okay. What ride? That sounds like the Haunted Mansion. Oh, yeah.
- 35:16Speaker 1: That's very recognizable.
- 35:17Speaker 6: That was very easy.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Everybody knows that one. Okay, here's the next one. Name
- 35:22Speaker 1: this safety announcement.
- 35:23Speaker 3: Watch your children. And remember, no matter what, do not
- 35:28Speaker 3: gaze into the eyes of the idol. Now, Sala wishes
- 35:32Speaker 3: you a most wonderful and successful expedition.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Name the ride at Disneyland.
- 35:40Speaker 4: Indiana Jones.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Yeah, Indiana Jones Adventure. That's so good! That's cool. Okay,
- 35:47Speaker 1: this is the one for the win.
- 35:50Speaker 4: All right.
- 35:51Speaker 3: Ahoy, mateys. For a safe voyage, be sure to stay
- 35:55Speaker 3: seated with your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the
- 35:58Speaker 3: boat and watch your children.
- 36:00Speaker 4: That one sounds like the Pirates of the Caribbean.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Yeah, you got it. Those are pretty good.
- 36:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Well, we're going to send you down there. It's a
- 36:09Speaker 1: four-pack to Disneyland to make your day even better. It's
- 36:11Speaker 1: Halloween time, so enjoy that.
- 36:14Speaker 6: Yeah, it really is the best.
- 36:15Speaker 1: For October 31st, it is fun. Mark, dude, what do
- 36:18Speaker 1: you do for a living?
- 36:20Speaker 4: I'm a network technician for a little small company.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Well, I appreciate you listening to us, and you have
- 36:25Speaker 1: a great time at Disneyland.
- 36:27Speaker 4: Thank you so much. Thank you. You got it, buddy.
- 36:30Speaker 4: All right.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Let's see.
- 36:32Speaker 4: Back room.
- 36:33Speaker 1: I'm going to play one more. Who should we put
- 36:36Speaker 1: the spotlight on? Michaela. Name the ride. Here's the safety announcement.
- 36:42Speaker 1: If any of you folks are wearing hats or glasses,
- 36:45Speaker 1: best remove them because this here is the wildest ride
- 36:49Speaker 1: in the wilderness.
- 36:53Speaker 6: Thunder Mountain.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Big Thunder Mountain. On air with Ryan Seacrest. 102.7 KSFM
- 36:58Speaker 1: Los Angeles. Ryan's Rose is on deck. Ronnie Henry. So basically,
- 37:10Speaker 1: Ronnie's role has evolved. He was and still is our
- 37:13Speaker 1: digital guy. But he's also in the back room quite
- 37:15Speaker 1: a bit and sent him out on the streets to
- 37:17Speaker 1: give away free gas. People are loving Ronnie. He's got
- 37:19Speaker 1: a fan base out there.
- 37:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:21Speaker 1: When he goes to give away free gas. And Ronnie,
- 37:23Speaker 1: last time we were speaking with you, the tow truck
- 37:25Speaker 1: was approaching the KISS vehicle. Everything okay?
- 37:28Speaker 3: Yes.
- 37:29Speaker 4: Basically, he thought I was locked out of the car.
- 37:31Speaker 4: But I was like, oh, no, it's fine. I'm like,
- 37:33Speaker 4: what a nice guy.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Oh, cool. What a nice guy. That's great.
- 37:37Speaker 4: But I didn't know if he wanted, like, to charge me,
- 37:40Speaker 4: to unlock me. I don't know.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Oh, I don't know. But you made it fine and safely.
- 37:44Speaker 1: And now, tell me what you see. He's about to just...
- 37:47Speaker 1: He's picked a gas station in Duarte. He's about to
- 37:49Speaker 1: just pick a person, a random person, to walk up
- 37:51Speaker 1: to them and give them free gas to pay for
- 37:54Speaker 1: their tank.
- 37:54Speaker 4: I'm about to hop out of this car right here. Hi, sir. Hi, sir. Hi, sir.
- 37:59Speaker 7: My name is Ronnie. I'm with Kiss FM, and we
- 38:01Speaker 7: would love to give you free gas today. Do you
- 38:03Speaker 7: want free gas?
- 38:04Speaker 4: Okay, perfect. I have Ryan Seacrest on the phone right now.
- 38:07Speaker 4: Do you want to speak to him? Okay. He doesn't
- 38:11Speaker 4: want free gas.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Oh, he does not?
- 38:13Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Really? Can I talk to him?
- 38:15Speaker 4: Yes. Put him on speaker. He's walking away from me. No.
- 38:19Speaker 1: He's walking away.
- 38:20Speaker 4: Yes, but I have other people right here.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Oh, all right.
- 38:24Speaker 4: Don't fret.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Yeah, fine, sir.
- 38:26Speaker 3: Go away.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Hi, sir. My name is Ronnie. I'm with Kiss FM.
- 38:31Speaker 7: We would love to fill up your gas tank for
- 38:33Speaker 7: free today. Do you want free gas? You want gas?
- 38:39Speaker 4: Oh, it takes a lot. That's fine. I have Ryan
- 38:44Speaker 4: on the phone here. He would love to speak to you. Hello.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Hi, what's your name?
- 38:52Speaker 4: Hi, my name is Miguel.
- 38:54Speaker 3: How are you?
- 38:54Speaker 1: Miguel, I'm great. I'm Ryan Seacrest. I host the morning
- 38:57Speaker 1: radio show on KISS FM. And that's Ronnie, who works
- 39:01Speaker 1: with us at KISS FM, 102.7. And we're just literally
- 39:05Speaker 1: out giving away free gas. And so we are going
- 39:07Speaker 1: to fill your tank up with free gas. No catch.
- 39:10Speaker 3: All right.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay.
- 39:13Speaker 1: And what are you driving, Miguel?
- 39:15Speaker 4: I'm driving a... Toyota truck, VA.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Perfect. Well, we're going to fill the whole thing up
- 39:21Speaker 1: with gas, and then you just head off to work or.
- 39:24Speaker 4: Wherever you're going. Yeah, I'm going to work right now.
- 39:28Speaker 1: What do you do, Miguel?
- 39:29Speaker 4: All right. Um, I'm dual floors, like wood floors.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Wood floors. Oh, okay. Well, that is my friend, Ronnie.
- 39:40Speaker 1: He will pump it up and you will be off
- 39:42Speaker 1: on your way. And thank you, Miguel, for saying hello
- 39:45Speaker 1: to us.
- 39:45Speaker 4: We appreciate it for helping me.
- 39:47Speaker 1: I appreciate that.
- 39:48Speaker 4: Thank you very much. Okay.
- 39:50Speaker 6: You're welcome.
- 39:51Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 39:52Speaker 4: Hello.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Now have Miguel go up to the other guy that
- 39:56Speaker 1: rejected us and say, hands on hip. Ha, I got
- 39:59Speaker 1: your free guy.
- 40:01Speaker 4: Right.
- 40:02Speaker 7: And he's pumping his gas right there. He said yes
- 40:04Speaker 7: to the gas, but he doesn't want to talk on
- 40:06Speaker 7: the phone.
- 40:06Speaker 4: So I was like, oh. And then he walked away.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Ronnie, please tell me you're capturing all of this on video.
- 40:12Speaker 10: Yes.
- 40:13Speaker 4: Yes, I am.
- 40:14Speaker 1: I want to see these episodes of you walking up
- 40:17Speaker 1: to people.
- 40:17Speaker 7: Because I look crazy doing it, but it is a
- 40:20Speaker 7: lot of fun.
- 40:21Speaker 4: And now he's getting this free gas.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Okay. Pump it up. Ronnie out on the streets of Duarte.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Thank you, my friend.
- 40:28Speaker 4: Thank you, guys. I'll talk to you later. Okay. Bye.
- 40:31Speaker 1: He's really good at this.
- 40:32Speaker 4: I know.
- 40:33Speaker 1: How could you say no to Ronnie Henry?
- 40:36Speaker 6: Because they probably think there's like a catch.
- 40:37Speaker 3: I get it.
- 40:38Speaker 5: It takes a lot to like go up to random strangers.
- 40:41Speaker 1: But that one guy just was not having a good day,
- 40:43Speaker 1: I guess. That's going to do it, guys. Thanks for
- 40:45Speaker 1: being here this morning. Fun show. Appreciate all the input
- 40:48Speaker 1: and effort. Ronnie will be in Azusa tomorrow with free gas.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Also passes to Disneyland all morning long. And before you
- 40:56Speaker 1: swipe right, we've got some first names you might want
- 40:59Speaker 1: to be careful about dating. I'll tell you why.
- 41:01Speaker 4: Yes.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Have a fantastic Thursday. Tomorrow morning, Friday, we're live early.
- 41:08Speaker 4: Kiss.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Thanks for listening to On Air with Ryan Seacrest. Make
- 41:12Speaker 1: sure to subscribe, and we'll talk to you again tomorrow.
