- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:04Speaker 1: six forty.
- 0:11Speaker 2: And I'm gonna explain that what's going on politically and
- 0:14Speaker 2: what's happening, and we're going to have a rip roaring
- 0:17Speaker 2: good time right.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Right, and now Handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Here's Bill Handle, and.
- 0:34Speaker 4: Good morning everybody.
- 0:35Speaker 2: It's a Wednesday, Hoday, Wednesday, January fourteenth. As we start
- 0:41Speaker 2: the show, we had a lot of news to share. First,
- 0:44Speaker 2: hello to one and all. Good morning, Kno Good morning Bill. Yes,
- 0:49Speaker 2: and there's Neil, good morning, Good morning, Willy war Will Coleschreiber.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I noticed your sweater. You're wearing a sweater with horizontal stripes.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Yeah. Really swimming it really does help you. Thank you,
- 1:02Speaker 4: Thank Yes, I appreciate that.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, well said then Amy, Yes, dressed in pink today. Yep,
- 1:13Speaker 2: happy camper. And and there you go. There I am,
- 1:17Speaker 2: there you are. Okay, okay, We're going to start with
- 1:20Speaker 2: something that we just sort of threw up in the air. Yesterday,
- 1:24Speaker 2: Cono's car blew up. As you know, or if you
- 1:27Speaker 2: don't know, Cono's car blew up. He was driving and
- 1:32Speaker 2: what ended up happening is he drives you drive an
- 1:35Speaker 2: hour each way Cono. That's right, seventy miles each way
- 1:39Speaker 2: each way. And so and he works here at iHeart,
- 1:44Speaker 2: which of course means no money. So when you have
- 1:47Speaker 2: a combination of no car and no money gets a
- 1:50Speaker 2: little problematic.
- 1:51Speaker 4: So what we did, and this is just us.
- 1:54Speaker 2: This is nothing to do with iHeart, nothing to do
- 1:55Speaker 2: with KFI, This is just the Morning Crew. We started
- 1:59Speaker 2: to GoFundMe page to help Kno out get a car,
- 2:03Speaker 2: to help him with a car.
- 2:05Speaker 4: A couple of things about Kno.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I'm going to give you a little bit of biography
- 2:09Speaker 2: about Kno, which very few people know about. First of all,
- 2:12Speaker 2: Kno was actually born a poor black boy in the
- 2:15Speaker 2: ghetto and he grew up without a mother or father,
- 2:20Speaker 2: and his father, who he didn't have, beat him senseless
- 2:23Speaker 2: as a kid. He was so poor he didn't have shoes,
- 2:27Speaker 2: so he would walk to school in the snow, which
- 2:30Speaker 2: is no easy thing to do in southern California.
- 2:33Speaker 4: It would be for a.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Four mile walk uphill both ways. I mean, this was
- 2:39Speaker 2: not easy for Kono to do, so it is really sad.
- 2:44Speaker 2: So we started we do have I mean, an hour
- 2:46Speaker 2: drive is a long drive for Cono and all seriousness,
- 2:51Speaker 2: this is not the highest paying job on the planet,
- 2:54Speaker 2: to say the least.
- 2:55Speaker 4: So here's what we did.
- 2:56Speaker 2: We started to go fund me campaign, and you have
- 3:00Speaker 2: to go to our website, which clicks directly to the
- 3:04Speaker 2: go fundme page.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Because here's what happens.
- 3:06Speaker 2: I mean, we're making this public, right and so h
- 3:09Speaker 2: there are sleeves balls out there that will actually start
- 3:13Speaker 2: something similar using the same name. So as I pitch,
- 3:18Speaker 2: people will just fraud fraudulently use GoFundMe.
- 3:21Speaker 4: So here's what you do.
- 3:22Speaker 2: You go to k f I A M six forty
- 3:25Speaker 2: dot com slash kno k O n O, and we're
- 3:29Speaker 2: going to help him get a car because frankly, he
- 3:33Speaker 2: does a lot for the show and he's a dirt
- 3:37Speaker 2: poor uh he eats sticks for dinner occasionally you talk
- 3:43Speaker 2: about food insecure insecurity Cono at the end of the
- 3:48Speaker 2: month actually is out there looking for twigs to make
- 3:51Speaker 2: soup out of.
- 3:52Speaker 4: I'll pay for the pedals.
- 3:55Speaker 2: No, actually, we've we've we we actually have a start
- 3:58Speaker 2: on this thing, and I don't know if we're going
- 3:59Speaker 2: to raise Yeah, actually, actually I did. I actually sent
- 4:05Speaker 2: money to Kono off of fund me charges. Five percent,
- 4:10Speaker 2: and a lot of people if they if they do
- 4:14Speaker 2: public now yeah they do, look it up ask go
- 4:17Speaker 2: fund me. How much they charge is a percentage that
- 4:21Speaker 2: oh no, we're fun.
- 4:23Speaker 4: You have to monetize itself.
- 4:24Speaker 2: So it's five percent, which you know for it's it's
- 4:27Speaker 2: a great way of doing it. Unless you happen to
- 4:30Speaker 2: know Kono personally, and that's what I did. But for
- 4:34Speaker 2: people out there in radio land who show me in
- 4:37Speaker 2: your hand, yeah, who don't. They don't have Kno's address
- 4:42Speaker 2: because first of all, it's a security issue, and second
- 4:45Speaker 2: of all, Kno is hugely embarrassed by his neighborhood. He's
- 4:49Speaker 2: in the Inland Empire with the neighbor I know, and
- 4:52Speaker 2: he lives between two meth houses.
- 4:57Speaker 4: If that's the that's a real Tonelton. Those are just
- 5:00Speaker 4: these are not executed the houses. Yeah.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Uh So anyway, uh, we're trying to put together a
- 5:06Speaker 2: car with your help.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Uh and that's you people listening.
- 5:10Speaker 2: So go to k f I A M six forty
- 5:12Speaker 2: dot com slash cono k O n O and that'll
- 5:15Speaker 2: put you directly into the go fundme page that we started.
- 5:20Speaker 5: Hey, there's another guy who started a page for kno, you.
- 5:22Speaker 2: See, I'm telling you, yeah, you see what you see
- 5:25Speaker 2: what happens you see and you don't know, you know,
- 5:28Speaker 2: we so instead of going to our page, so we know,
- 5:31Speaker 2: it goes to kono. Uh.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Okay, what happens to that one?
- 5:35Speaker 2: I believe that Michelle reached out to them and they
- 5:39Speaker 2: are they're taking it down.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Okayo, Yeah, it's okay. Brich de Muro just donated sow
- 5:47Speaker 4: is that very sweet? Yes?
- 5:49Speaker 6: Thank you everybody for thanks and for setting this up.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Because this is now we're in Cono.
- 5:57Speaker 2: We've you know, we cannot have you ride your bicycle
- 6:00Speaker 2: uh sixty two miles each way into the studio.
- 6:05Speaker 6: Okay uh with the card in the spokes. It sounds
- 6:09Speaker 6: like a motorcycle. That's true.
- 6:11Speaker 5: I used to love that.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Uh.
- 6:17Speaker 2: You know, you remember the banana seats on the shins
- 6:20Speaker 2: and the eight bars.
- 6:22Speaker 4: We used to call him ape bars because you know,
- 6:25Speaker 4: you go the hangers.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it was an ape. We call him eight bars
- 6:28Speaker 2: and these are eight ape uh. And they were they
- 6:33Speaker 2: were the bars that you steer the bike with, but
- 6:36Speaker 2: they went up and around, so they looked like an
- 6:39Speaker 2: ape there stretching his arms out and.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Them on the the hogs the motorcycle.
- 6:44Speaker 5: Yeah, them on Harley Davidson's Yeah, they do. And then
- 6:47Speaker 5: what was that thing on the back of the banana seat?
- 6:50Speaker 5: It looked like a you know, something from U it was.
- 6:54Speaker 2: It was a marital aid that young gay riders would use.
- 6:59Speaker 5: What it was was it called a sissy bar?
- 7:02Speaker 4: Oh? No, the sissy bar was Wait, the cissy bar
- 7:06Speaker 4: was something else.
- 7:08Speaker 2: I had to go there, didn't I the sissy Barcono,
- 7:12Speaker 2: what'd you use it for?
- 7:13Speaker 4: Again? It was for uh, you know, the gay community. Oh,
- 7:18Speaker 4: he's oh, you know what it.
- 7:20Speaker 5: Was a sissy bar, because it says the sissy bar
- 7:22Speaker 5: is a metal frame attached to the rear of a
- 7:23Speaker 5: motorcycle that goes up like on the back of the
- 7:26Speaker 5: banana seat to keep the person back from falling off
- 7:29Speaker 5: the woman one.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Okay, there's my little one.
- 7:33Speaker 5: Say hello, Well you jumped right in too, Neil.
- 7:35Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Okay, anyway to help out right, my little dog is
- 7:39Speaker 2: licking my face. To help out coono uh, and to
- 7:44Speaker 2: help him with a car. Here you go down, you
- 7:46Speaker 2: go to help kno out to help him buy a car.
- 7:50Speaker 2: It's a go fund me page and please go to
- 7:53Speaker 2: kf I am sixty dot com slash.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Cono k O n O. All right, let's do it.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Handle On the news on a Wednesday morning, Amy Neil
- 8:05Speaker 2: and Me lead story, Well, the investigation of that shooting
- 8:12Speaker 2: that happened in Minneapolis by ice in which that thirty
- 8:20Speaker 2: seven year old woman was shot. What ended up happening,
- 8:25Speaker 2: that's Renee good The federal government is investigating her wife,
- 8:31Speaker 2: not the agent, looking at criminal activity of her wife,
- 8:36Speaker 2: which there's there's no evidence whatsoever. I mean, she was
- 8:40Speaker 2: there a part of a I think the government is
- 8:43Speaker 2: saying they're both part of a terrorist domestic terrorist group, Okay,
- 8:48Speaker 2: any particular name. No, it's just a domestic terrorist group
- 8:51Speaker 2: of some kind. And so you have six prosecutors who quit,
- 8:55Speaker 2: just straight out quit.
- 8:57Speaker 6: Wasn't there some talk about the woman who was shot
- 9:02Speaker 6: being having a rap sheet and the family came out
- 9:05Speaker 6: and said, no, that's a different person with the same name, and.
- 9:09Speaker 2: All this the government is going out of its way
- 9:12Speaker 2: to make sure that she's portrayed as a bad, bad person.
- 9:15Speaker 2: I'm talking about Nicole Goodre and her life and her
- 9:18Speaker 2: life bullies.
- 9:19Speaker 4: It's disgusting.
- 9:20Speaker 2: And so six federal prosecutors quit just said we're not
- 9:23Speaker 2: going to be part of this, and so you'll see
- 9:26Speaker 2: a lot of resignations have happened in the DOJ regarding
- 9:29Speaker 2: some of the tactics and antics that the federal government
- 9:33Speaker 2: is taking.
- 9:33Speaker 5: All right, got to get Greenland. President Trump says that
- 9:37Speaker 5: anything less than getting Greenland would be unacceptable. Greenland, Denmark,
- 9:44Speaker 5: and the US. Their meeting today that'll meet include a
- 9:48Speaker 5: Vice President Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Meeting
- 9:52Speaker 5: with those leaders at the White House. Trump said on
- 9:55Speaker 5: true social the United States needs Greenland, doubling down his
- 10:00Speaker 5: argument that it's necessary for national security and that Russia
- 10:04Speaker 5: or China would take control of the territory if the
- 10:06Speaker 5: US wasn't there.
- 10:08Speaker 2: And I don't know where he comes up with that,
- 10:10Speaker 2: but Greenland is a territory part of Denmark, and it's
- 10:15Speaker 2: sort of a quasi independent territory. And I can't wait
- 10:18Speaker 2: for the United States, which the President has said one
- 10:21Speaker 2: of his options is to invade Greenland militarily. And I
- 10:25Speaker 2: cannot wait to see the military conflict between the US
- 10:31Speaker 2: military and the two hundred men who comprised the defense
- 10:35Speaker 2: forces on Greenland. And that is not an exaggeration. I'm
- 10:39Speaker 2: not doing shtick on that way. That is exactly what
- 10:42Speaker 2: it is.
- 10:43Speaker 6: What went down during World War Two with Greenland? Didn't
- 10:45Speaker 6: they have I think they had military brass? Well, you know,
- 10:49Speaker 6: there was an ambassador who kind of illegally agreed with
- 10:53Speaker 6: the US to make it to bring my U.
- 10:56Speaker 4: I don't know, I don't know.
- 10:58Speaker 6: There was no answer, weird answer, something weird during World
- 11:02Speaker 6: War two that happened that brought the US into Greenland,
- 11:06Speaker 6: and I can't remember.
- 11:06Speaker 4: Don't know the answer.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Now a real quick one about Greenland, that the United
- 11:10Speaker 2: States needs Greenland, we needed for our national security. We
- 11:13Speaker 2: had thirty one bases on Greenland, thirty one military basis.
- 11:17Speaker 4: We have one now they shut down.
- 11:20Speaker 5: What why did we leave?
- 11:22Speaker 4: Maybe because it wasn't that important.
- 11:25Speaker 2: It was all Greenland was always a Denmark, an ally,
- 11:32Speaker 2: a founding member of NATO, and it wasn't it wasn't
- 11:37Speaker 2: that important. Now you have Greenland, which is part of
- 11:40Speaker 2: the Northern Atlantic, the Arctic which is now open that
- 11:44Speaker 2: you can use it commercially, and the resources that are there,
- 11:50Speaker 2: the rare earths which we didn't know about before, and
- 11:53Speaker 2: it's militarily important too. So it just has increased in
- 11:56Speaker 2: importance and I think I think President Trump just like
- 12:01Speaker 2: swinging his and uh, you know, wants to show everybody
- 12:06Speaker 2: how big it is.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Yeah in his hand. I wasn't that impressed. Now I
- 12:12Speaker 4: have to and I was with you at the time.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Oh that's right, Yeah, okay Trump, It's it's a long story.
- 12:21Speaker 2: He was giving a speech and uh then he decided
- 12:24Speaker 2: only to do a Q and A.
- 12:25Speaker 4: And I was asked to.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Do the Q and A up on stage with him,
- 12:29Speaker 2: like years ago. But he was He was insufferable then.
- 12:34Speaker 2: I mean, just just a jerk, beyond a jerk in
- 12:39Speaker 2: private and public, all of it.
- 12:41Speaker 6: Uh, if we could get that audio would be awesome
- 12:44Speaker 6: because he was like, I wouldn't normally do this, except
- 12:47Speaker 6: it's Bill Handle.
- 12:50Speaker 4: He's a big deal. Yeah, but he does that.
- 12:52Speaker 2: He did that with John when he did that, you know,
- 12:55Speaker 2: with the interview that he did with Kobyl. Well, John,
- 12:58Speaker 2: let me tell you what I think he's looking at. Obviously,
- 13:02Speaker 2: a big sheet of paper in front of him, and
- 13:04Speaker 2: he does most of his stuff off a teleprompter. Did
- 13:06Speaker 2: you know that he proposed to in his family, He
- 13:10Speaker 2: proposed to his wives with a teleprompter in front of him. Okay,
- 13:15Speaker 2: moving on, notmpter. Moving on, says the guy who will
- 13:21Speaker 2: read the wrong name.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Okay, let's let's move on.
- 13:27Speaker 6: Starlink. This is interesting. You got Elon Musk and SpaceX.
- 13:31Speaker 6: They're now providing free internet access via Starlink satellite service.
- 13:36Speaker 6: And this is for the users there and Iran as
- 13:39Speaker 6: the regime of that country is just doing this bloody
- 13:43Speaker 6: crackdown on anti government protests, so just to allow them
- 13:49Speaker 6: to get information out of there as to what's really
- 13:51Speaker 6: going on.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Yeah, we're looking at it.
- 13:53Speaker 2: We're seeing bits and pieces of it, and it's probably
- 13:56Speaker 2: far worse than what we're seeing because the government certainly
- 13:59Speaker 2: isn't giving us information. They're trying to shut it down
- 14:02Speaker 2: as much as possible. Amy China News.
- 14:06Speaker 5: China is still killing it. So China has announced it
- 14:11Speaker 5: had a record surplus of nearly one point two trillion
- 14:16Speaker 5: dollars in exports because in spite of the tariffs with
- 14:22Speaker 5: the US and all of that uncertainty, China has shifted
- 14:27Speaker 5: focus to Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America for business.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Yeah, so China is doing fine.
- 14:35Speaker 2: And then now we're dealing with the tariffs, and the
- 14:38Speaker 2: long term goal of the tariffs is to bring manufacturing
- 14:40Speaker 2: back into the United States. The problem is tariffs happened
- 14:44Speaker 2: this afternoon. Bringing in a factory of any sophistication is
- 14:50Speaker 2: years in the making, and still the prices of goods
- 14:55Speaker 2: are going to be astronomical. Because a guy assembling cars
- 14:59Speaker 2: in Bay gets two dollars an hour, a US auto
- 15:03Speaker 2: worker gets thirty two dollars an hour. At least in
- 15:06Speaker 2: terms of all the benefits and all the costs, etc.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Between the medicals.
- 15:09Speaker 4: It's talking about the pros of slave labor.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Yeah wow, yeah, Well, let me tell you all the
- 15:17Speaker 2: gizmos that we hand out that we used to hand out,
- 15:20Speaker 2: you know, the pens and the cheek hanes, they were
- 15:23Speaker 2: all made by you know, kids in Pakistan who are
- 15:26Speaker 2: under eight years old in the.
- 15:27Speaker 4: Factories, like your pots and pans.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Uh yeah, well they're made in China by kids under twelve.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Yeah see, no, I think kids under ten.
- 15:38Speaker 6: But because you have morals, ye, ky for Sutherland arrested
- 15:45Speaker 6: yet again. This guy has had a lot of trouble
- 15:47Speaker 6: since the early two thousands or on through. He was
- 15:53Speaker 6: arrested early Monday. Police said he assaulted a right hailed
- 15:58Speaker 6: driver there in Hollywood.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Would gosh, where was this like.
- 16:03Speaker 6: Over on Sunset and Fairfax or near that area.
- 16:07Speaker 2: But I had no idea he it was this kind
- 16:09Speaker 2: of you know, anger issue. He had these anger issues. Oh,
- 16:13Speaker 2: I don't know, it's alleged, but I will tell you.
- 16:16Speaker 2: You know, he had a lot of drunk driving charges
- 16:18Speaker 2: two thousand and four, two thousand and seven. I spent
- 16:21Speaker 2: time in jail in twenty seven.
- 16:24Speaker 4: Marche in two thousand and nine. It was dropped.
- 16:27Speaker 6: Yeah, but he you know, we used to have that
- 16:30Speaker 6: karaoke place across the street that's now a whole Foods.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Remember when Dimples was there.
- 16:35Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, Well he would go there all the time,
- 16:38Speaker 6: and there were photos of him.
- 16:40Speaker 4: I don't know, he pulled down his pants.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Beating people out on a by the way as a joke.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Before you assume me for just joking parody, okay.
- 16:51Speaker 6: I'm just saying that. You know, he sounds like a
- 16:54Speaker 6: troubled guy. So hope he gets the the help he needs.
- 16:58Speaker 6: But he was arrested scene fifty thousand dollars bail.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Yeah, which for him is you put five thousand dollars
- 17:06Speaker 2: brand yeah.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Yeah, and then yeah, like he's gonna have a problem
- 17:08Speaker 4: with that. Good actor, maybe not very who knows.
- 17:13Speaker 5: Well, apparently you didn't watch the Golden Globes either.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:18Speaker 5: The eighty third Golden Globe Awards on CBS lost seven
- 17:23Speaker 5: percent more of its audience compared to last year. Nicki
- 17:27Speaker 5: Glazer hosted at the Beverly Hilton and the average viewership
- 17:30Speaker 5: was eight point six six million people, which is down
- 17:36Speaker 5: from nine point two million in twenty twenty five. It's
- 17:39Speaker 5: a lot of people nine point four twenty four.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Yeah, and it depends on the demographic too, zero interest, Yeah,
- 17:47Speaker 2: pretty much.
- 17:50Speaker 4: All right.
- 17:50Speaker 6: So they're going back and forth on the cap of
- 17:54Speaker 6: on rent increases.
- 17:56Speaker 4: We've been hearing a lot about that.
- 17:57Speaker 6: Well, this very contentious housing bill would have capped rent
- 18:02Speaker 6: increased of five percent rather than the ten percent. I
- 18:06Speaker 6: believe that it is at this particular point. So they've
- 18:10Speaker 6: been going back and forth and it collapsed. It died
- 18:15Speaker 6: in the California legislature, and it's not happening.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Well, the people, the landlords have a lot of influence,
- 18:24Speaker 2: and it's you know, even five percent those pretty good
- 18:30Speaker 2: rent increasing It is not not.
- 18:32Speaker 5: If it happens every year. I get my rent increased
- 18:34Speaker 5: every year. I don't get a raised every year.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Yeah, but if you look, well, you should get a
- 18:39Speaker 2: raised virtually every year. But if you look at the
- 18:42Speaker 2: cost of maintenance, taxes go up every year.
- 18:46Speaker 4: They do.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Look at my house, the taxes are increasing the cost
- 18:49Speaker 2: of maintenance.
- 18:50Speaker 4: You have people who supply to buy refrigerators too, that's right.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Now they have to buy refrigerators, well said, well said so,
- 18:58Speaker 2: But I know if you're a renter, you're not a
- 18:59Speaker 2: happy camper. And the renters associations don't have the power.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Certainly the landlord, the landlord association, what other company gets
- 19:08Speaker 2: that or whatever?
- 19:09Speaker 6: Other they don't do that to food, putting caps on
- 19:11Speaker 6: how much you can charge for food.
- 19:13Speaker 2: But interest rates they do cap well, they used to
- 19:16Speaker 2: cap it out. And that's another story what Trump wants
- 19:18Speaker 2: to do.
- 19:19Speaker 4: But you're right.

- 19:44Speaker 5: No, I have an air conditioning unit in the bedroom.
- 19:49Speaker 4: One of those window, things off the bedroom. Great, oh,
- 19:53Speaker 4: we sure have it.
- 19:54Speaker 6: Either in Hollywood, when my wife and I got married,
- 19:56Speaker 6: we lived in a six hundred square foot apartment or whatever,
- 20:00Speaker 6: and there was zero air conditioning.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I remember, I remember my first place I started home,
- 20:06Speaker 2: six thousand square feet and I'm I'm lying. Okay, I'm

- 21:27Speaker 4: Man, we got cool people.
- 21:29Speaker 5: What will happen with the ban on trans athletes? Supreme
- 21:34Speaker 5: Court heard three hours of arguments yesterday. It's involving two cases,
- 21:39Speaker 5: one from Idaho, one from West Virginia. There are twenty
- 21:43Speaker 5: five Republican led states that have laws banning transgender athletes.
- 21:48Speaker 5: They say student's biological sex at birth should determine who
- 21:50Speaker 5: can play on the girls or boys teams.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and the court's going to uphold the bands obviously
- 21:56Speaker 2: by the questioning, I mean, there's no issue.
- 21:59Speaker 4: So you know what a surprise.
- 22:02Speaker 5: We'll find out in June.
- 22:03Speaker 4: I think next'll win the court. Yeah, they had all
- 22:05Speaker 4: the decisions.
- 22:06Speaker 2: The big decisions come down in June, just before the
- 22:08Speaker 2: Court leaves for its summer recess and comes back in
- 22:11Speaker 2: October first Monday.
- 22:12Speaker 4: In October.
- 22:15Speaker 6: Sad sad story a woman who was allegedly driving well drunk,
- 22:21Speaker 6: she fatally struck an eighteen year old Loyola High School
- 22:27Speaker 6: tennis start in Manhattan Beach. This was just weeks before
- 22:31Speaker 6: he was set to graduate. While she pleaded not guilty
- 22:34Speaker 6: Tuesday to murder another charges. Jania Resha Belt, thirty three,
- 22:41Speaker 6: was initially arrested right after the crash and when it
- 22:44Speaker 6: occurred around twelve forty five am on May twenty twenty
- 22:48Speaker 6: five on South Sepulvida Boulevard, but she was charged on
- 22:53Speaker 6: to summer eighteenth.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Yeah, she's going to do some serious jail time, drunk,
- 22:58Speaker 2: suspended license, killing someone that the.
- 23:03Speaker 6: Parents of the eighteen year old they're suing for two
- 23:07Speaker 6: hundred million?
- 23:08Speaker 4: Ye were they going to get? Who were they suing?
- 23:11Speaker 4: I don't know what do you do as a parent,
- 23:14Speaker 4: you know.
- 23:15Speaker 2: I don't even I don't even know how many people
- 23:16Speaker 2: are killed that the parents don't sue because there's just
- 23:19Speaker 2: and they don't want to go through it and there's
- 23:20Speaker 2: just not enough money there because you know, who's going
- 23:23Speaker 2: to have two hundred million dollars?
- 23:25Speaker 4: Okay, Dilbert news.
- 23:27Speaker 5: Yeah, the drawer of Dilbert is dead. Scott Adams died.
- 23:34Speaker 5: He drew Dilbert, which was sort of a staple for
- 23:37Speaker 5: a workplace culture cartoon or yeah, for about thirty years.
- 23:42Speaker 5: But then he made some racist comments and was canceled.
- 23:46Speaker 4: Do you know what racist comments he made? No, I
- 23:48Speaker 4: don't either. Racial. I guess so after a.
- 23:54Speaker 6: Particular group, if I remember correctly, I think it had
- 23:57Speaker 6: to do with African Americans.
- 23:59Speaker 4: Okay, anyway, he was bounced, but I got a sixty eight.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Yeah. Well he had he had metastatic prostate cancer.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Yeah, and.
- 24:10Speaker 2: He had a podcast and the day before he died
- 24:13Speaker 2: he was still doing the podcast.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:15Speaker 5: It was called Real Coffee with Scott Adams.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Oh, Disney wand news for the two of you. Yeah,
- 24:21Speaker 4: this was cool.
- 24:22Speaker 6: They had you know, obviously Disney that's a big place. Well,
- 24:27Speaker 6: they had a new milestone of ninety or nine hundred
- 24:32Speaker 6: million people that have visited the park since it's opening
- 24:35Speaker 6: in nineteen fifty five. Of course they're celebrating their seventieth
- 24:38Speaker 6: year in existence. And they just did this documentary and
- 24:44Speaker 6: I know some people that went and saw it at
- 24:46Speaker 6: their premiere Disneyland hand crafted, and it basically breaks down
- 24:50Speaker 6: the creation of the theme park.
- 24:53Speaker 4: That's really interesting stuff. Oh my gosh, I love I read.
- 24:56Speaker 2: I've read several books about Disney and the creation of Disneyland,
- 24:59Speaker 2: because I'm actually interest that. When I first saw the
- 25:01Speaker 2: story at nine hundred million people, I thought that was
- 25:04Speaker 2: last weekend.
- 25:05Speaker 4: But I think they were all there.
- 25:07Speaker 2: It was.
- 25:08Speaker 5: Yeah, Actually I think they were over the holidays. One
- 25:10Speaker 5: of the days I was at the park, it was
- 25:12Speaker 5: crazy busy.
- 25:13Speaker 2: I haven't gone in so many years. I think I
- 25:15Speaker 2: have to go. I think I have to go. Will Neil,
- 25:19Speaker 2: can you get me in for free? Because you have
- 25:20Speaker 2: contacts and ida to get in, that doesn't mean you
- 25:24Speaker 2: I can't get in for free if I pull the
- 25:26Speaker 2: right strings, just pay. Why what is that car? He
- 25:34Speaker 2: can drive me to Disneyland.
- 25:37Speaker 4: Then I'll do that.
- 25:38Speaker 5: Okay, it'll be a morning show road trip.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Okay. We have a couple more stories that, yeah, we
- 25:43Speaker 4: have to deal with.
- 25:44Speaker 5: All right, far cry from thirty something. Timothy Busfield has
- 25:49Speaker 5: turned himself in in New Mexico. He was He's facing
- 25:55Speaker 5: child sex abuse charges. His attorney says he didn't do
- 25:58Speaker 5: anything wrong. The accusations are false, but he's in albuquer
- 26:02Speaker 5: Caines in custody.
- 26:05Speaker 2: And I'm just watching the West Wing. We watch it
- 26:09Speaker 2: and I haven't seen he was Danny in the West Wing.
- 26:13Speaker 2: So anyway, he's there's a history here that's not good news.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Now probably the I think the most interesting story of
- 26:22Speaker 2: the morning.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Of course you do.
- 26:25Speaker 6: Yeah, all right, Humans not the only ones that you know,
- 26:30Speaker 6: like the Mann action. I suppose you study found instances
- 26:35Speaker 6: in which fifty nine non human primate species, including bonobo's
- 26:40Speaker 6: and chimpanzees and mcquettes have taken part in same sex behavior.
- 26:46Speaker 4: You know what, they don't break down. I'm trying to
- 26:48Speaker 4: think if they break down, if it's.
- 26:53Speaker 2: You know, dolphins, you know practice, you know, same sex sex,
- 26:59Speaker 2: and so it's a lot more prevalent, both in terms
- 27:02Speaker 2: of human or not. This story, by the way, this
- 27:04Speaker 2: study actually started when a couple of researchers were on
- 27:08Speaker 2: a field trip and they noticed a group of chimps
- 27:10Speaker 2: arranging flowers.
- 27:14Speaker 4: What the chimps were putting up drapes on the trees. Okay,
- 27:21Speaker 4: I think we're done. I think we're done.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Okay, finished, all right, this is KFI AM sixty. You've
- 27:30Speaker 2: been listening to the Bill Handle Show, Catch My Show
- 27:32Speaker 2: Monday through Friday six am to nine am, and anytime
- 27:36Speaker 2: on demand on the iHeartRadio app
