- 0:00After 1971, we went to a pure debt based system.
- 0:04Well, you got to pay interest on that debt and so that just
- 0:09accelerates the inflation and now we're at the end.
- 0:13And so when you hear everybody being so confused about the
- 0:17market action, about the currency, what's happening in
- 0:20the currency markets and this and that and the other thing,
- 0:23it's because we're at the end. Today, we are fortunate to be
- 0:30joined by Lynette Zang. She's admired and respected
- 0:34within the precious metals community, and she's going to
- 0:37share with us some of her insights into what she sees
- 0:40developing within the gold and silver sectors.
- 0:44Lynette, welcome to Ron's Basement.
- 0:46I'm very happy to be here. Ron, thank you for having me.
- 0:50Yeah, well, on behalf of everyone joining us today, you
- 0:54know, like I said, you're someone who's.
- 0:56Looked up to and respected within this community and yeah,
- 1:00well, I have a I have a I have a question for you.
- 1:03One of my viewers from the United Kingdom sent this over
- 1:07and it's actually for another one of my viewers.
- 1:10But he he enclosed these 18 US paper dollars.
- 1:15And it's what he brought back from his trip to Las Vegas and
- 1:20he called it Las Vegas toilet paper.
- 1:23So I'm curious, do you, do you what are your thoughts on the
- 1:27value of the US dollar and and where we might be heading?
- 1:31Well, actually I've been studying currencies and currency
- 1:35life cycles since 1987 and there is absolutely zero doubt in my
- 1:43mind, Zero doubt, but that this is the end of this Fiat money
- 1:50experiment. And what they're trying to do is
- 1:53transition us into the next iteration of the Fiat money
- 1:57experience or experiment, which is really a full surveillance
- 2:03monetary system. And that's what makes having
- 2:05silver and gold in your possession so critical.
- 2:09So I mean, there's no doubt. And and I, and I guess you're
- 2:13referring to the potential for a or the oncoming inevitability of
- 2:18a CBDC type environment. I I am.
- 2:23Where do you hear My hesitation is, yes, it is inevitable that
- 2:28they're going to bring it out, but it is not inevitable that it
- 2:32will be adopted. That's going to be up to the
- 2:35community and to the population because, you know, we vote with
- 2:39our purses, we vote with our wallets.
- 2:42So if you're buying gold and silver, that's your vote.
- 2:46If you're keeping it in this garbage, I mean, you know, there
- 2:50are over 4800 currencies, Fiat money, currencies that do not
- 2:56exist anymore. And ours is going exactly, you
- 3:01know, this crap is going the same way.
- 3:03This is just a derivative of this and of this, right?
- 3:08But this is real money. This is fake.
- 3:11Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 3:12It's interesting. I heard a statistic recently
- 3:15that since the Federal Reserve came into existence, the US
- 3:18dollars lost like 97% of its value.
- 3:22Yes, and my favorite graph. And everybody that watches knows
- 3:27I like my charts and my graphs. But if you said to me you could
- 3:31only work with one, it would be the purchasing power graph from
- 3:35the Federal Reserve because you can see the whole story right
- 3:37there and you can explain the whole story just from that one,
- 3:42that one graph. And yeah, it's going to 0
- 3:45because that's what happens because what this is especially
- 3:49after 1971 we went to a pure debt based system, well, you got
- 3:54to pay interest on that debt. And so that just accelerates the
- 3:59inflation and now we're at the end.
- 4:02And so when you hear everybody being so confused about the
- 4:06market action, about the currency, what's happening in
- 4:09the currency markets and this and that and the other thing
- 4:12it's because we're at the end. So it is confusing because
- 4:16things aren't working the way the system was set up to
- 4:20function. They're not functioning the same
- 4:22way. But but nobody ever says, well,
- 4:25this must be the end of the system.
- 4:27Well, they can't. They're cheerleaders for the
- 4:29system, so they can't actually say that.
- 4:31But you and I can say it. I can say, yeah, I told somebody
- 4:34earlier, I was just did a live stream earlier.
- 4:36I said don't expect when you walk into your bank that, you
- 4:40know, usually they have those placards up offering you 1% on a
- 4:43checking account or whatever. Don't expect for there to be a
- 4:46placard up that says, hey, we're having financial trouble.
- 4:49We just wanted to let you know. That that things aren't looking
- 4:53good. Here, I have a question for you.
- 4:56I've I've studied this 1971 Nixon order that took us off the
- 5:01gold standard. And in my mind what they
- 5:04essentially did was silver and gold at that point because the
- 5:08US was the dominant world. Power at that, in that time
- 5:12frame was it's almost like they put silver in gold in jail
- 5:16temporarily, like they couldn't kill it.
- 5:19But they had a real interest in dissuading, especially the
- 5:24American public from buying silver and gold.
- 5:28Absolutely. And and and and and it feels
- 5:32like to me that now there's a renewed interest in a renewed, I
- 5:38would say, a new era. But it feels like not just in
- 5:41the United States but even throughout the world, that
- 5:43there's that, that that there's a new wave or a new movement of
- 5:46people kind of waking up. To the value of silver and gold,
- 5:50I I would, I would agree with that.
- 5:52You know, I mean they created the spot market to manage and
- 5:57these are their words, they're not my words to manage people's
- 6:01perception of particularly gold because gold is the primary
- 6:07currency metal and a rising gold price is an indication of a
- 6:11failing currency. And if you know or once you
- 6:14know, I should say that that currency is actually dying and
- 6:17going away, then you start to make different choices and you
- 6:22start to take your wealth outside of the system.
- 6:24I mean, I'm an ex banker, I'm an ex stockbroker.
- 6:28Do you know how many stocks or bonds or mutual funds or ETF's
- 6:32or annuities or any or CD's? Do you know how much of that I
- 6:36have? Zero.
- 6:40Because I understand the language and I understand what
- 6:42they're doing. And I was there in the 80s as
- 6:45everything was really kind of kicking off and all this talk
- 6:49about globalization. So they needed to really trap
- 6:54you in it. But this is the interesting
- 6:56thing. Gold and silver is part of our
- 6:59DNA. It's part of our vernacular, the
- 7:03golden goose, the golden rule, when they create the crypto
- 7:07currencies, what Col. what color are they?
- 7:09They're either gold or they're silver, right.
- 7:12So you know it's part of our DNA and yes, I I agree with you.
- 7:18I think, especially with this rapid inflation, that's that
- 7:23makes the demise of the currency more obvious to the general
- 7:28public. And they're starting to go.
- 7:30Wait a minute, you know here, this is the American dream
- 7:34You're supposed to if you work hard, you can have your own
- 7:38home, you can raise a family, you can get educated, you can
- 7:41send your kids all of this stuff.
- 7:44You can, you can have the American Dream, but more and
- 7:48more of the younger people past my generation are waking up to
- 7:53the fact that that American dream is always going to be out
- 7:57of the reach. They go to college, but what
- 8:01kind of income did they make after that?
- 8:04But they're saddled with all of this debt.
- 8:06Now that's going away. Of course they have to that, you
- 8:09know, they got a little bit of a reprieve for a few years.
- 8:13That's now going away. But people are getting very
- 8:16discouraged and they don't believe the American Dream is
- 8:19possible anymore. And so that's why I say
- 8:23absolutely it's inevitable that they're going to bring out the
- 8:25new CBDC's, the surveillance economy, because they want even
- 8:29more control than they have with this stuff.
- 8:34But we don't have to accept it, right?
- 8:38If we hold most of our wealth inside of this, this is our
- 8:42vote. And guess what?
- 8:44If there's just a very vocal 3% that get this, well, that's all
- 8:49they needed for the Revolutionary War.
- 8:51Very vocal 3%. That's, it's interesting.
- 8:56I hear Rick Rule and other people talk about the fact that
- 8:59only like .5% of the world's financial wealth or assets is
- 9:05invested into silver and gold. And long term the average is 2%
- 9:10and it's gotten as high as 5%. But even if we get back to 2%,
- 9:14that's four times as much. Quote UN quote money going into
- 9:19the precious metals and and related investments.
- 9:22I want to touch on something I just kind of tweeted a little
- 9:25bit and say that you, that you will have a lot more
- 9:29transferring out of this fake Fiat money into real money, real
- 9:35money. That's what this is.
- 9:38You know one of the guys who helps me with the channel a lot?
- 9:40His name's he goes by Coin Shop Chris and and he's a stickler.
- 9:46Because I'll say, oh, I bought some silver, he says.
- 9:47You're not buying silver, you're converting paper money into real
- 9:53money. And and I say, you know, it's
- 9:55absolutely great. You know, I grew up in the
- 9:56United States, so I'm part of the, you know, the, the I was
- 10:00taught, you know, I buy and buy. It's like, no, you're not buying
- 10:03gold and silver, you're converting.
- 10:05You know the other interesting thing you brought up was how
- 10:08silver and gold are in our DNAI have twin 11 year old daughters.
- 10:13And they play 20? You do?
- 10:14Wow. I do, but they're 42.
- 10:18Mine are 11:00. You'll survive.
- 10:20Yeah, we're surviving. If you hear any loud noises
- 10:23upstairs, you'll know what it is.
- 10:25You'll understand. Yeah, but every game they play,
- 10:29pretty much without exception, Every little game on their
- 10:32tablet or their phone or on the TV.
- 10:34The prize is always a silver or gold coin.
- 10:38It's like the most valuable thing in the game.
- 10:41And you know, like you said, if you, you know, I did this about
- 10:43a year ago, I I put into Google images, I did a search for
- 10:48Bitcoin and all the images that came up were a gold coin.
- 10:51So it is, it is in our, in our DNA, no doubt, no doubt about
- 10:56it. What about the system in
- 11:00general, as you were referring to that system?
- 11:05What about I want to get your take on this because it's my
- 11:09feeling that as as, as the as the system, quote UN quote, has
- 11:14become more convoluted, more papering over like the little
- 11:17bank, little big. However you want to say it, it
- 11:19was big because it was bigger than all the banks that went
- 11:22bust during the great financial crisis.
- 11:25But the little situation we had with banks back in March like
- 11:27they can. They paper over everything and
- 11:31but that the problems, the more duct tape.
- 11:33However you want to say it as it gets bigger and bigger that it
- 11:37becomes more delicate and fragile and that it requires
- 11:42faster response. Do you have any any thoughts on
- 11:45that? Yes, absolutely.
- 11:47It's it's like the little Dutch boy that's putting his fingers
- 11:50in the in the dike and before you know it, he's got all his
- 11:53fingers and all his toes in the dike.
- 11:55But there's another leak that springs up.
- 11:58So yeah, there's absolutely no doubt about it that they can and
- 12:03do paper over it. But here's the problem.
- 12:07You know you have to. What happened to them?
- 12:10Honestly, I did. I was going to say you need to
- 12:12talk to Jerome. He'll tell you how to fix that
- 12:16real fast. I I should totally talk to
- 12:18Jerome. But here's the problem, and you
- 12:21can see it when they first came out with the quantitative
- 12:24easing. So money for free.
- 12:26All of this money printing every iteration afterwards took a lot
- 12:32more money and they were getting a lot less result.
- 12:37And they have been on this quantitative easing, and even
- 12:41now, you know, they call it quantitative tightening.
- 12:44But globally money is still extremely loose.
- 12:49Whenever you have interest rates that are below the real rate of
- 12:52inflation, that's easy money. I don't care if you had interest
- 12:56rates at 20%, right. If the rate of inflation is at
- 13:0030%, that's still easy money. So you know for them to talk
- 13:06about tightening is kind of garbage, but it is becoming more
- 13:11and more challenging for people to roll or corporations or
- 13:15governments or whatever to roll over that debt.
- 13:19So in some ways there is easing and some ways there's
- 13:23tightening, just like look at the Bank of Japan, right.
- 13:27They lost control of their yield curve control.
- 13:30But I've done pieces on that historically as they've been
- 13:33going along. So it's pretty obvious that they
- 13:35were losing control, but rather than making it obvious to the
- 13:40public what did they do, they broadened their band.
- 13:44They did that on Friday and on Monday they announced a major
- 13:48bond buying program. I mean, those are just the
- 13:52opposite. So what does that tell us?
- 13:55Because Bank of Japan is really the leader in the world of all
- 14:01of these experiments, those monetary experiments and that
- 14:05started back in the early 90s. And you know, they're the ones
- 14:09that created the zombie firms. So and and this yield curve
- 14:13control. OK, So you print a whole bunch
- 14:16of money and you go in and you buy a whole bunch of bonds to
- 14:19control the price. And all that really does is
- 14:22convolute interest rates out there.
- 14:25The the value of the money, the price of the money.
- 14:29So you know, when I see that on Friday they did loosening and on
- 14:35Monday they did tightening because what happened, Boy,
- 14:38shocker, interest rates exploded on their ten year J GB of which
- 14:43they own most of that anyway. Yeah, it tells me that we are
- 14:48closer and closer and closer to the end of this experiment.
- 14:52And I think what we just saw with the Bank of Japan is the
- 14:55Canary in the coal mine and I'm paying a lot of attention
- 14:58because it ain't over yet, just like the bank eruption that we
- 15:02had in March. What do you think?
- 15:04All those issues, those underwater investments went
- 15:07away? Do you think they're not a Bank
- 15:09of America and God forbid, JP Morgan and every other bank on
- 15:14the planet? Of course they are.
- 15:17They're just being hidden. But how long can they do that,
- 15:22That that's really what the question is, not what's going to
- 15:25happen. It's exactly when.
- 15:28So now look at this. No.
- 15:30Did you know there's not going to be a recession?
- 15:34And I'm really relieved because Janet Yellen came out a while
- 15:38ago and said there would not be another financial crisis in her
- 15:41lifetime. So now that we know there's not
- 15:44going to be another recession, I guess that means she gets to
- 15:48live longer. And and didn't they also tell us
- 15:51just two or three years ago that inflation would not be a problem
- 15:55and then it was temporary and then it was transitory And
- 15:59didn't Jerome Powell himself just like, what, two years ago?
- 16:03Tell us that they wouldn't raise interest rates till the end of
- 16:062023. So that means you and I should
- 16:08be sitting here right now talking about how we still have
- 16:110% interest rates. But maybe in November or
- 16:14December the Feds going to raise rates and we know that they are,
- 16:17you know, at the tail end maybe of the one of the fastest
- 16:22interest rate hike sessions in history.
- 16:24Well, likely they are at the tail end of that because that's
- 16:28what Wall Street wants. The problem is, is that we
- 16:32haven't really felt the full effect.
- 16:34I mean the economy has not yet felt the full effect of that
- 16:38rapid rise in interest rates because of the lag effect.
- 16:42So this is the good thing about Cbdc's and especially when you
- 16:46read what they say because they will have their finger on that
- 16:50button 24/7 and they will get instant response if their policy
- 16:55choices are working. That I don't know about you, but
- 16:57that scares the Haiti's out of me.
- 17:00Well, it it does. And I think it goes with what we
- 17:02were talking about earlier that that as this as the system has
- 17:06become so convoluted that they will have to react
- 17:09instantaneously just to control what's going on.
- 17:13And you know and and I want I want to get your opinion on this
- 17:16as well as you were talking about what's going on with
- 17:18Japan. And and and to a certain extent
- 17:20I think even with our Fed. I question whether our Fed
- 17:25really wants to fight inflation because because can you can can
- 17:30can can we really I mean if we if they really fight inflation
- 17:33if the system implodes. So the analogy I I like to use,
- 17:37it's like if you've got a fire going, which is the system.
- 17:41And you've got a fire hose in one hand and you're putting it
- 17:43out, but with your other hand you're kind of secretly
- 17:46continuing to flame it. Does that, does that make sense?
- 17:49That makes every bit of sense in the world because that's exactly
- 17:52what they've been doing. But on top of that, people need
- 17:56to understand that inflation is not a monetary phenomenon.
- 18:02You had true when we were on a gold and silver standard, you
- 18:06had true supply and demand economics.
- 18:09So it'd go up and go down and it would very right that that's a
- 18:13normal business cycle. But with this garbage, if you
- 18:18read what they were saying, when they first put this in place, it
- 18:23was inflation was baked in to the system.
- 18:29Because not one man in a million understands inflation.
- 18:33And even Christine Lagarde, the head of the ECB, and Jerome
- 18:37Powell, the head of the Federal Reserve, admitted they do not.
- 18:42They do not understand inflation.
- 18:44So the Fed's job is not about fighting inflation because it's
- 18:48part of the Fiat money system. It is about controlling the rate
- 18:54and the speed of that inflation. But the reality is, and I've
- 19:00been saying this since 2008, that's when the system actually
- 19:04died and they weren't ready with the next iteration of money.
- 19:10They still had work to do. So that's when the quantitative
- 19:14easing, the free money that flow to make it appear like it's
- 19:19okay, but I still know people that have not recouped from
- 19:242008. It's I bet you we all do know
- 19:32and I bet you some of us out there that are watching goes
- 19:34well. Yeah, yeah.
- 19:36Yeah, yeah, but. But doesn't it feel like I often
- 19:39use this example, My neighborhood, we have a
- 19:41community pool. There's 400 houses here.
- 19:44And if I go to my community pool and try to talk about what you
- 19:48and I just talked about for the last 15 minutes, 99% of the
- 19:52people will look at me cross eyed and think that I'm that.
- 19:56I'm like most people, I think. And and I don't, I can't speak
- 20:00for other countries, but it seems like in the United States
- 20:02most people are just asleep. And do you think there will be
- 20:07an event that'll occur at some point in the future?
- 20:11Maybe could be a month from now, maybe it's 10 years from.
- 20:14I mean, who knows, Maybe it's tomorrow, maybe it's tomorrow
- 20:17where people will be faced or be forced to face, no, face the
- 20:21music, I guess you would say. Yes.
- 20:23And I and I think that that opened a lot of eyes because as
- 20:26you said earlier that you're seeing more and more people that
- 20:30are looking at gold and silver and that's what the rapid
- 20:35inflation does. So that's why it's so critically
- 20:38important that 2% target. They're still getting your
- 20:41wealth. It's still costing you more
- 20:44money every day, every year to buy the same goods and services.
- 20:51But if it happens slowly enough, that price stability mandate is
- 20:56not about keeping the price of this cup or the food or anything
- 21:00else stable. It's about your expectations.
- 21:04So that if you don't think that inflation is too big a problem,
- 21:10then you don't ask for more money.
- 21:12But when inflation heats up like it is now, or it has been, I
- 21:16mean it hasn't gone away, you know, no matter what they say,
- 21:21you know, it's really going to get worse, especially if they
- 21:24start to reverse course on interest rates.
- 21:28But they can't. That genie is out of the bottle.
- 21:31That genie is done. We're at the end.
- 21:34I don't care what they say. I don't care how they juggle
- 21:37their formulas to make it look this way or that way.
- 21:41Once people start seeing it in their daily lives, it's like a
- 21:47veil is lifted and you can't really blame people.
- 21:54I mean, I've had a number of people say to me, well, you
- 21:57know, I try and tell my friends and they don't listen.
- 22:00So they're just going to have to deal with it.
- 22:02Well, frankly, we're all going to have to deal with it.
- 22:05But what we're really asking people to do is have a major
- 22:09paradigm shift. Admit that since the day they
- 22:14were born, they have been told a lie, and they have believed a
- 22:18lie that is very uncomfortable for most people.
- 22:22Yeah, so I can understand that I have empathy with it.
- 22:26I'm trying to feed the world between my urban farm here and I
- 22:31was never a gardener. I mean, I'd go and help my
- 22:33sister and we always had a little kitchen garden, but that
- 22:36was never really my thing. Yet today I am absolutely a
- 22:40farmer, both down here and at my Bug Out location because food
- 22:45becomes the single biggest issue for people during these
- 22:49transitions and I'm trying to feed as many people as possible.
- 22:55Wow. That's that's that's admirable.
- 22:58If what what about your business, you're with ITM
- 23:01trading is that correct? And you you, you help people
- 23:06that want to move some of their or convert some of their paper
- 23:11money into Fiat currency. What are there any things that
- 23:15set ITM trading apart from the other companies in that
- 23:18industry? Huge Number one, they have me
- 23:22and I've been there since 2002 and been absolutely instrumental
- 23:26in developing everything. But beyond that, what we have is
- 23:29a strategy that's based upon my research and all of my studies
- 23:35on currencies and currency life cycle since 1987.
- 23:38And it's just based upon repeatable patterns, so
- 23:43repeatable patterns. So you can see the shift and
- 23:46understand where we are in this trend cycle, which is why I can
- 23:49sit here with absolute confidence to tell you we're at
- 23:52the end because all of those, all of those patterns that we've
- 23:56seen in over 4800 currencies that do not exist anymore are
- 24:05all flashing red like right now. So I think we're in the lull
- 24:10before the storm, but we are very, very close and I think
- 24:15we're very, very close to that full surveillance economy too.
- 24:18So what makes ITM different? Because obviously we work in
- 24:22physical gold and silver, but there's silver and then there's
- 24:26silver and there's gold and then there's gold.
- 24:29And So what our strategy does, it starts with your goals.
- 24:33What is it that you are trying to accomplish?
- 24:37Everybody's strategy is basically the same.
- 24:40It's the same as mine, but I'm at a different point in my life.
- 24:44I have different goals maybe than you do, maybe not, Maybe
- 24:48they're exactly the same, in which case your portfolio would
- 24:52look very much like My Portfolio.
- 24:54So you start with the goals and the circumstance and what you
- 24:58have to work with and it's definitely more of a
- 25:01comprehensive strategy that we use at ITM.
- 25:05So you have your money at the base to make sure that whatever
- 25:10Fiat money assets you've managed to accumulate that you that you
- 25:14choose not to or cannot convert are protected.
- 25:19But beyond that, you know right now we have these income
- 25:22producing assets that are at Nosebleed level valuations and
- 25:27we have gold and silver that are super duper cheap that's going
- 25:31to flip flop. If you're in the right asset at
- 25:34the right time, then you can take some of those gains,
- 25:38convert it into those undervalued income producing
- 25:42assets that we know which ones will now survive because right
- 25:46now, frankly that's a big question, who's going to survive
- 25:49this? And then you can be actually
- 25:53better off on the other side of this then you are going into it
- 25:58because as you said before, what half a percent of the population
- 26:02owns gold. So that's a wealth transfer
- 26:06tool. And hey, you might as well be
- 26:09the one to have the wealth transfer your way in my opinion.
- 26:13I, I, I agree the you know, like sentiment about gold and silver
- 26:18between you and I is real high right?
- 26:21Like we love it. And the people watching joining
- 26:23us right now likely are very. Optimistic and interested in
- 26:27silver gold, but overall you know when I, especially when I
- 26:31talk to people in the mining sector which is different than
- 26:33what you and I are talking, but they say sentiment is low and
- 26:38overall outside of you and I right.
- 26:41Most of the rest of the people, the other 99 out of 100 people,
- 26:44they don't care or they think it's bad, whatever.
- 26:47I like to bring up something that I think is optimistic for
- 26:51our sector and that is that. The price, the price measured
- 26:54in, in Fiat U.S. dollars has done pretty well.
- 26:58And silver, you know, hung in there pretty well.
- 27:00But let's say gold in particular.
- 27:03If in the next year it can get to an all time high measured
- 27:07nominally in U.S. dollars, and it's doing that carrying that
- 27:12weight of like super low sentiment only imagine then if
- 27:16it gets the new all time highs and sentiment just gets a little
- 27:19bit better. Just a teeny bit better.
- 27:22That we could really be in for some, you know, some some
- 27:25potential large price increases. Well, let's kind of look at that
- 27:32for a minute because that's not ever the way that I think about
- 27:36gold and silver, because this is insurance, but it's also a
- 27:41strategy. And let's say that tomorrow Spot
- 27:45gold goes to $6000 an ounce. Are you going to sell your gold?
- 27:51And what if silver goes to $900.00 an ounce, Are you gonna
- 27:54sell your silver? So I'm not looking for the
- 27:58market change of sentiment as far as the nominal price of gold
- 28:04and silver are concerned. What I'm looking at is what the
- 28:08central banks are doing, because at the end of the day, when all
- 28:12confidence is lost in the currency, in the powers that be,
- 28:16and that's my fondest wish, that's really what my battle is.
- 28:22When all that confidence is lost and they're trying to regain
- 28:25that confidence, then they do those overnight revaluations
- 28:30where they take this garbage that is only used in one area
- 28:34and they revalue it in this area that is in gold and silver too,
- 28:42that are used in every single sector of the global economy.
- 28:47So if you look back, you know, like in Venezuela that happens
- 28:52to be the one that I can remember the easiest, don't ask
- 28:55me why, because it's happened so many times.
- 28:57But the first overnight revaluation, they did Spot gold
- 29:03in Venezuelan Boley bars went up 3500%.
- 29:09Did it express to its full fundamental value?
- 29:12No, not yet. But that's for me what I'm
- 29:17waiting for because what happens is it gives you an opportunity
- 29:22to pay off any fixed rate debt that you have with dollars that
- 29:25have zero value, right. It gives you an opportunity to
- 29:30buy those now undervalued assets that we know are most likely to
- 29:38make it because they've made it that far, right.
- 29:41It's it's really hard looking at the balance sheets and so many
- 29:45things are done off balance sheet to know whether or not a
- 29:47company is actually really solvent because there's just so
- 29:51many ways that you can juggle that accounting.
- 29:54So that's it. It isn't in the spot market.
- 29:57That's Wall Street's market and JPMorgan Chase and other bullion
- 30:03banks and other traders are tasked with suppressing it.
- 30:08It's when the central banks who have been loading up on more
- 30:11gold than they ever have before because they know what's
- 30:16happening, they want to keep their choices.
- 30:19They want to stay in control, right?
- 30:23They're loading up on gold right now.
- 30:25Let's see, who knows more about money than central bankers?
- 30:31Why wouldn't you just do what they're doing and doing for
- 30:34themselves? Because it's interesting.
- 30:37There was just a little headline that came out how gold is is
- 30:42directionless. They they don't say Spot gold.
- 30:46They say gold is directionless because Fed chair Powell says
- 30:51he's not going to lower rates for two years.
- 30:54Who cares, right? The the the lie is that gold
- 31:00doesn't doesn't pay any interest.
- 31:02Who cares? So if the interest rates are
- 31:04staying up high on this crap, that is truly crap, right?
- 31:11Big deal. A trillion times zero is 0 and
- 31:14it really is just that simple. So that's really what I'm
- 31:19waiting for. Wall Street's job is not to push
- 31:22the price of gold. It's amazing that it's not still
- 31:25down at 600 bucks an ounce or even 20 bucks an ounce because
- 31:29they can create as much gold that does not, nor ever will
- 31:32exist as they want to. That that part's easy peasy in
- 31:35the in the physical only market. What do you see?
- 31:39You see gold making new highs especially in the ultra rarities
- 31:43category, which is the only category that the one
- 31:46percenters, I mean that's what they can afford.
- 31:49I can't afford $8 million for a coin, right?
- 31:53And you don't have to spend $8 million on the coin, just
- 31:57personally I want to be in that category.
- 32:01So I you can still and and understand.
- 32:04I don't really know anything about pricing because I don't
- 32:06really work in that area anymore.
- 32:09But I do buy for myself and for my legacy gold.
- 32:14And that's the kind of gold that will be passed down from
- 32:17generation to generation to generation for that part of my
- 32:21gold portfolio. Yeah, I'll go above fundamental
- 32:24value, but then I'm in the rarefied air area, which is what
- 32:29I like. But again, there's different
- 32:33kinds of gold for different kinds of things.
- 32:36I like fractional pieces for property taxes, because look at
- 32:41the depression. You could own your house
- 32:44outright, but if you could not pay your property taxes, you
- 32:48lost your house. So little fractional gold coins
- 32:52are Absolutely Fabulous to maintain your ability to always
- 32:57pay your property taxes. You know, silver, the different
- 33:01sizes, The different sizes of all of this stuff.
- 33:05You can't look at the spot market and expect that you're
- 33:09seeing the truth. Here's my question.
- 33:13Why does anybody trust Wall Street?
- 33:17Have we not all been screwed enough?
- 33:21I said the same thing about Washington, right?
- 33:24Like, totally. We totally.
- 33:26Like. It's it's strange that when you
- 33:28see the results of like the Gallup polls of do you approve
- 33:31of your of your congressmen and senators And they're like all
- 33:35time low. But then people will just take
- 33:38the information they're fed from their government as like the
- 33:41almighty truth. I'm like, why?
- 33:43Why would you believe that? That doesn't make any sense
- 33:47whatsoever. Can I ask you one final
- 33:48question? You've been very generous.
- 33:51OK. You've been very been very
- 33:52generous. I, I started my channel about a
- 33:55year and a half ago. Yeah.
- 33:59Well, thank you. Thanks for right.
- 34:00It is, it is, but it's worth it. And I've met wonderful people,
- 34:03many of whom I'm sure are are watching us right now really.
- 34:07And we talked about this before we went online that a lot of the
- 34:10people, most all the people in the gold and silver sector are
- 34:13very nice and they're very smart as well.
- 34:16But I've noticed a trend in the last year and a half, a definite
- 34:20trend that there are more. Women watching my videos and
- 34:25maybe more women getting into stacking and I asked my wife,
- 34:29Susie, I said, do you think it's because of my boyish good looks?
- 34:33And she laughed at me. So do you?
- 34:36Do you see? And that was a joke of course,
- 34:38but but you are very nice looking man, so.
- 34:43Well, maybe, yeah. We'll we'll go on for another
- 34:45hour now. But.
- 34:47But do you see more women? And and they beat they've
- 34:52they're they're awesome and they they're like more and more are
- 34:54coming to my channel and and engaging in the conversation.
- 34:59Do you see that trend at all? You know, I I do, but I probably
- 35:03always kind of been a bit of a trendsetter anyway because when
- 35:07I became a stockbroker, there wasn't even 3% of the
- 35:10stockbrokers were female. And right and the same thing in
- 35:15the gold industry there were like I only knew of like one
- 35:20other female in the industry. That has certainly been
- 35:24changing. So yes, and and I'll tell you
- 35:27something else, and I discovered this when I was a stockbroker or
- 35:30realized it when I was a stockbroker, you know, #1, any
- 35:37woman entering a field were looking at a field that is kind
- 35:44of more unique to what they would look at, do more due
- 35:48diligence, they do a lot more research, right.
- 35:52So they're more inquisitive because they understand that
- 35:56they're behind the 8 ball to begin with.
- 35:59Right. And they really want to be
- 36:01there. Absolutely.
- 36:02And I've also unfortunately known a lot of women that have
- 36:08relied on their male partners to manage their wealth, and they
- 36:16have that wealth has been managed away from them.
- 36:21So I strongly encourage everybody.
- 36:25Male, female, I don't really care, but I think that I
- 36:29strongly encourage everybody to do their own due diligence and
- 36:33to listen to a lot of different opinions and what one makes the
- 36:37most sense to you, because that's all anybody can give you
- 36:40is an opinion. Now I act on my opinions because
- 36:44I've been doing this on some level since I was like 10,
- 36:49probably younger than that really.
- 36:52But I I applaud it and and I also see a lot more younger
- 36:57people getting involved, which I really applaud because that's
- 37:01the generation that's comfortable the most with all of
- 37:05this electronic. I mean the younger you get, the
- 37:08more comfortable they are because they've grown up with
- 37:10it. But I'm going to be 69 in a few
- 37:14months. So, you know, I'm not used to
- 37:17this loss of privacy and just giving everything up so easily
- 37:22And all of this technology. I I look at it with a weary eye
- 37:27because of my age and, you know, the generation that I was born
- 37:31into, I think that more and more younger people are looking at
- 37:36these things with a weary eye because they know they can't
- 37:39achieve the American dream that was promised to them.
- 37:42So and that's who's going to create the revolution.
- 37:46And I think we probably do have a revolution here in our
- 37:50horizon. I'm sorry, but we need it.
- 37:52We need it because otherwise the system's going to remain
- 37:55completely unfair. And we have an opportunity right
- 37:58now in this change to create a much more fear system.
- 38:04Vote with your wallets, vote with your purses.
- 38:07That's what's going to matter at the end of the day and that's
- 38:09what's going to save you and put you in the best position as
- 38:12well. Thank you, Lynette.
- 38:15This has been great on behalf of.
- 38:17Everyone watching and myself, what an honor and a treat to get
- 38:21to hear from you. If they wanna learn more about
- 38:24ITM Trading is it? What is it?
- 38:26Itmtrading.com Yes. And we have a very active
- 38:31YouTube channel. I mean, I'm constantly
- 38:33publishing on that. But you know, you can't.
- 38:36Now you can buy food with this even in the worst of
- 38:40circumstances, but you can't really eat this.
- 38:43So I'm a huge advocate on everybody being as independent
- 38:47and self-sufficient as possible. So we have another site called
- 38:51Beyond Gold and Silver and that one is all around my mantra,
- 38:56which is food, water, energy, security, barter ability,
- 39:00wealth, preservation, community and shelter.
- 39:03And we're really active on that to meet people wherever they
- 39:08are. If you've never planted anything
- 39:10in your life, okie dokie, there you go, we're going to show you
- 39:14how to do it. If you are a master, come join
- 39:17us and help teach people. And in that we have what's
- 39:21called thriverscommunity.com, which is where everybody comes
- 39:27together and does share everything.
- 39:28So yeah, we're very holistic in our approach because you need
- 39:32everything. It's not this is that and that's
- 39:34that. I became an urban farmer because
- 39:37of my study in in economics. I don't want to.
- 39:40Holy crap, I see what's coming. So, you know, I changed my plans
- 39:45a lot in 2008, changed all my plans.
- 39:49Very interesting. Yeah, food is.
- 39:53Obviously critical to our survival and and people ask me
- 39:56as well like well how much silver should I own and and I'd
- 39:59like you like you know I can give you my opinion but it's
- 40:03just that you need to figure out what you're but it's also
- 40:05important to have you know secured your food supply, water
- 40:09supply relationships I mean I think.
- 40:12Community. Community is yeah, you gotta,
- 40:16you gotta, you know, have good and and maybe have some skills
- 40:19that other people need so you can help other people as well.
- 40:23And it's going to be an interesting decade ahead of us,
- 40:25right? Hopefully during that decade
- 40:27I'll get to speak with you again.
- 40:29Absolutely. But just kind of going back to
- 40:31what you were saying a little bit earlier about people ask
- 40:34you, well, how much silver should I need?
- 40:35Should I have? How much gold should I have?
- 40:39Well, there is historic data based upon your current cost of
- 40:43living and what is and where we are, what the true value is
- 40:49right now. So we actually have formulas
- 40:51that can calculate that out based upon your current
- 40:55circumstances and they're just based on history.
- 40:59So that's look, I've been doing this seriously on some levels
- 41:06since I was 10 years old. Probably earlier than that, but
- 41:09that was with my uncle Al and I. There's no doubt in my mind.
- 41:14I know I have been groomed for this moment in time and I'm so,
- 41:18I am so appreciative. Yeah.
- 41:21And I know it's it. It it feels like how do I say
- 41:24this? Like like it's never going to
- 41:27happen until it does happen, right.
- 41:30And then it happens and people I would encourage and I I know you
- 41:35you do as well encourage people to be prepared mentally and and
- 41:41I guess physically and and monetarily everything else for
- 41:44for what what appears because it it has that's what I like to to
- 41:49point out like and I love the fact that you have those 45
- 41:52which are 4800 you said different Fiat currencies that
- 41:56have come and gone. There's not, there's not 4800
- 41:59here, but. Yeah, even US currencies.
- 42:03I have gold certificates here. This is, this is a Confederate
- 42:08$10 Confederate note, right? Can you go out shopping with
- 42:11this? No.
- 42:14This is a state of Florida bill. Back when the states were
- 42:18printing their own money. I mean, so it isn't it.
- 42:21It's, you know, and then and then what's this?
- 42:24This is a Bolivar. Venezuelan Bolivar has more
- 42:28value as a napkin for an empanada.
- 42:31Or whoo, this is good. Here's a $10 trillion Zimbabwe
- 42:36note. And what did Zimbabwe do?
- 42:38And what is Zimbabwe? They came out with A1 oz gold
- 42:42coin last year, and this year they're issuing a They're trying
- 42:46to. It's going to be interesting.
- 42:48CBDC backed by gold. Not convertible into it, but
- 42:55back, but supposedly, supposedly the gold's there.
- 42:58Yeah, presumably, right. Supposedly, yeah.
- 43:01Until you can convert it, it ain't over.
- 43:04Yes I agree with that 100% because I'm I I get that
- 43:08question and and push back a lot from people like with like Texas
- 43:14has a proposition to potentially develop a a gold backed digital
- 43:19currency and and I I don't have a problem with that and I know
- 43:23that the the legislation does propose that it would be
- 43:26convertible but you better make sure that it's and I'm not a big
- 43:30fan of regulation but that it's regulated and you know audited
- 43:35and make sure that gold is really there the gold or silver
- 43:38then you know maybe maybe I'm willing to look at it but
- 43:42otherwise no, no thank you. Right.
- 43:46It has to be convertible and you know, I mean they proposed that
- 43:50that bill in March and it has gone nowhere and that's not the
- 43:54first. Proposal to have a gold back
- 43:57currency of of some form that comes up actually fairly
- 44:02regularly, but it's always just a proposal and then it doesn't
- 44:06go anywhere, right? And and you're right, I mean who
- 44:10was it? Ernest Hemingway when asked well
- 44:13how did you go bankrupt and he said well slowly at 1st and then
- 44:17fast. That's the way it happens.
- 44:20It seems like nothing is happening because you can't see
- 44:23below the surface. But I can guarantee you tons and
- 44:29tons and tons of things are happening below the surface that
- 44:33they don't want us to know about.
- 44:37By the time you do, you're out of choices.
- 44:41Yeah. When's the When's the last time
- 44:43they forewarned us about a crisis, right?
- 44:46I mean, they never, never. When's the.
- 44:49When's the last time a bank warned their customers that they
- 44:51might be in trouble? Never.
- 44:53It's just the way the system. And how many people are being
- 44:56informed right now that their data is being hacked, right?
- 45:01I mean, but yeah, let's, let's move more in that direction,
- 45:06into that danger before you solve this problem, let's just
- 45:10double down on it. You got to have physical gold,
- 45:14physical silver outside of the system.
- 45:17You can always put it in the system, but you can't always
- 45:20take it out. So this is like a critical thing
- 45:24and do your own due diligence. Don't take my word for anything,
- 45:27but don't take anybody's word for anything.
- 45:29That's why in all of my work, I give you the links.
- 45:32I don't give you all the research links because you'd be
- 45:35reading a book, but I give you all the links, You read them.
- 45:39You come up with a different opinion.
- 45:41Rock'n'roll hoochie COO. I can't tell you that my opinion
- 45:44is more valid, but I can tell you.
- 45:47That if you don't do any due diligence and you just have a
- 45:50random opinion, no, it is not as valid as mine because I don't do
- 45:55random opinions. I do researched opinions.
- 45:58Yeah, that's what I like to say that like the especially the
- 46:01people again who are watching right now that enjoy my channel,
- 46:04like we have the courage to at least pull our head out of the
- 46:08sand. It doesn't mean that we're that
- 46:11that we're going to make every perfect right decision or, you
- 46:15know, but we're a step ahead of a lot of people because at least
- 46:18we pulled our head out of the sand, you know?
- 46:21So, yeah, Yeah. Thanks, Lynette.
- 46:24This has been great. It's been a real, a real
- 46:27pleasure. And I really do hope that I get
- 46:29to spend some more time with you in the future.
- 46:32Well, I've enjoyed it too, so I hope that happens as well.
- 46:35I don't manage that piece, but sure, thank you you're.
- 46:39Welcome.
