- 0:00Speaker 1: Marximo, the issues you really care about on seven ten wor.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Hey, we'll get to a crazy Kady Oko, crazy Mayor Mom, Donnie,
- 0:12Speaker 2: and a whole lot more coming up. It's it's spring now.
- 0:16Speaker 2: It officially began about twenty five minutes ago. We're now
- 0:19Speaker 2: in the spring. Hey, today's the birthday of Baron Trump.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Baron Trump is twenty years old today, future president.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Now.
- 0:29Speaker 2: You know a lot of people thought, well, maybe Don
- 0:32Speaker 2: Junior will run one, that maybe Eric Treman. Now everybody
- 0:36Speaker 2: thinks it's Baron. Baron is the Michael corleone of this deal,
- 0:39Speaker 2: you know, the one that the younger one you thought
- 0:42Speaker 2: wasn't going to get involved in the family. But Baron
- 0:46Speaker 2: is a super smart kid. Baron is turns out he's tough,
- 0:50Speaker 2: shrewd smart. Everyone think's he will be president one day.
- 0:54Speaker 2: But he's twenty years old today. Now let's go back
- 0:57Speaker 2: twenty years. Baron is a Millennia gives birth to Baron.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Donald Trump calls into this show from the hospital. Let's
- 1:05Speaker 2: take a listen, Donald Trump, how are you.
- 1:07Speaker 4: I'm Mark Hey.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Always great to talk to her.
- 1:09Speaker 4: You've been a friend for a long time, Mark, So that's.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Good and congratulations a new baby.
- 1:14Speaker 4: Well, that's true. We have a beautiful baby, healthy and
- 1:17Speaker 4: going to be brought home from the hospital very shortly. Actually.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Now, I love the name Baron, and I love Baron Hilton.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I assume he had something to do with that name.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Well, Baron Hilton is a friend of mine. Also, I
- 1:27Speaker 4: don't even know if it's the same spelling, but Baron
- 1:29Speaker 4: Hilton is a friend of mine, and he's a great guy.
- 1:31Speaker 2: He's a wonderful guy. And the only guy I ever
- 1:33Speaker 2: knew named Baron. And it was a what a great name,
- 1:35Speaker 2: what a distinctive name?
- 1:36Speaker 4: Is Baron's a little bit more common than that. I mean,
- 1:39Speaker 4: I know a few people named Baron actually, but it's
- 1:42Speaker 4: I like it. You know, I was going to name Eric,
- 1:44Speaker 4: my other son, my last son. I was going to
- 1:46Speaker 4: name Eric Baron. Huh, But I didn't quite have the
- 1:49Speaker 4: courage because it is a little bit out there. But
- 1:52Speaker 4: you know, it's it's been. It's been great. I think.
- 1:55Speaker 4: I think it's really been playing very well. And I
- 1:57Speaker 4: like it more importantly, and Millennia likes.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Her, yeah, very good. Twenty years ago today, twenty years ago,
- 2:04Speaker 2: Baron Trump was born. But keep an eye on him.
- 2:07Speaker 2: He's you know, he's in school right now, NYU. But
- 2:12Speaker 2: who knows where he's gonna go. And a lot of
- 2:14Speaker 2: people think he will be president of the United States
- 2:16Speaker 2: thirty thirty years from now, as she well, a lot
- 2:20Speaker 2: to accomplish in the next thirty years. Now, some of
- 2:24Speaker 2: these politicians. We have this crazy Kathy Hokl who is
- 2:28Speaker 2: just a whack job. Doesn't know what the hell to
- 2:32Speaker 2: say anymore so, and she's like a weatherbane, just keeps
- 2:36Speaker 2: spinning around whatever way the wind is blowing. So a
- 2:39Speaker 2: lot of people move to Florida because of the taxes here,
- 2:43Speaker 2: that sort of stuff. She you know, she was yelling
- 2:46Speaker 2: and screaming that she was going to tax all the billionaires,
- 2:48Speaker 2: tax all the wealthy, tax everybody. A lot of people
- 2:51Speaker 2: moved away. She wants everybody back. Now. Now remember this
- 2:55Speaker 2: was twenty twenty two, four years ago. She's telling everybody
- 2:58Speaker 2: to leave. If you're a Trump's, if you're a billionaire,
- 3:01Speaker 2: if you're a Republican, get the hell out. She actually
- 3:04Speaker 2: said it.
- 3:04Speaker 1: And we're here to say that the era of Trump
- 3:10Speaker 1: and Zelden and moln Arrow just jump on a bus
- 3:13Speaker 1: and head down to Florida, where you belong. Okay, get
- 3:16Speaker 1: out of town. Get out of town because you don't.
- 3:19Speaker 1: You don't represent our values. You are not New.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Yorkers're a governor tell half her state to leave. How
- 3:30Speaker 2: stupid do you have to be to actually say something
- 3:32Speaker 2: like that? What is wrong with you to say you're
- 3:36Speaker 2: telling them half the state to leave. So a lot
- 3:39Speaker 2: of them did go to Florida, and the economy of
- 3:41Speaker 2: Florida is booming. They have no taxes, there's no state tax.
- 3:45Speaker 2: The economy is actually booming. They have no state tax.
- 3:49Speaker 2: They take in more revenue than we do. Their budget
- 3:52Speaker 2: is half of ours, even though it's a bigger state.
- 3:56Speaker 2: So that's four years ago. Now look at her now.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Now she's asking them to come back. I guess somewhere
- 4:03Speaker 2: she's amazingly stupid, but not totally stupid, because she realizes
- 4:08Speaker 2: she needs these people back. If you tell them to leave,
- 4:11Speaker 2: that's your tax base, that's your main revenue source. If
- 4:15Speaker 2: they leave. Billionaires pay all the taxes, you know, the
- 4:18Speaker 2: top one percent pays like forty six percent of the taxes.
- 4:22Speaker 2: So she's asking them now to come back total reverse.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Well, maybe the first step should be go down to
- 4:26Speaker 1: Palm Beach and see who you can bring back home
- 4:29Speaker 1: because our tax base has been eroded. So I philosophically
- 4:33Speaker 1: don't have a problem. It is like I have to
- 4:34Speaker 1: look at the fact that we are in competition with
- 4:36Speaker 1: other states who have less of a tax burden on
- 4:40Speaker 1: their corporations and their individuals. And I would say remote
- 4:44Speaker 1: work changed everything. There were people who could only work
- 4:47Speaker 1: in an office in Manhattan and work in New York State,
- 4:49Speaker 1: and they were captives to ore a state. They were
- 4:51Speaker 1: going to state. We've saw that that's not the case.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I mean, you know, Wall Street businesses looking at Texas,
- 4:59Speaker 1: they're not going there. They have a nicer governor. I
- 5:01Speaker 1: know that for sure, but they're going there because of
- 5:03Speaker 1: the tax. Right, we have to be smart about this.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Yeah, they're not going there for a nicer governor.
- 5:08Speaker 3: She's right.
- 5:09Speaker 2: You know, DeSantis not the nicest guy in the world,
- 5:12Speaker 2: but he's a brilliant governor. He's an excellent governor. Greg Gabbat,
- 5:15Speaker 2: he's a nice guy, but he's a brilliant governor. And
- 5:18Speaker 2: these guys got rid of the state tax. They get
- 5:20Speaker 2: rid of a lot of that crap, and the state booms,
- 5:23Speaker 2: The economy booms, Businesses move in billionaires move in and
- 5:27Speaker 2: you're making a fortune there. So she's admitting she's wrong.
- 5:31Speaker 2: She's actually admitting she was a total idiot four years
- 5:35Speaker 2: ago to say those things. And she's admitting they lost
- 5:38Speaker 2: a lot of the tax base. So now, Mom, Donnie,
- 5:43Speaker 2: I think you had to wait about fifty years for
- 5:44Speaker 2: him to figure this out. Mom, Donnie doesn't know what
- 5:47Speaker 2: the hell is going on. Totally useless and totally naive.
- 5:54Speaker 2: He's never had a job before. He's basically just a
- 5:56Speaker 2: student out of college. This is his first job mayor
- 5:59Speaker 2: of New York and just driving everybody nuts. We have
- 6:05Speaker 2: a budget that's double what it should be. It's double
- 6:08Speaker 2: the amount it should be. Just cut the budget in
- 6:10Speaker 2: half and everything is fine. But can't cut anything. It's
- 6:15Speaker 2: all waste, fraud, blowed favors. It's just political payback for people.
- 6:22Speaker 2: So he keeps scheming and scheming and scheming more taxes, more,
- 6:27Speaker 2: the congestion pricing type of stuff. Now they want to
- 6:29Speaker 2: put speed cameras everywhere and ticket you every time you
- 6:32Speaker 2: go any place. These speed cameras are absolutely ridiculous.
- 6:35Speaker 5: It is a goal of our administration to lower the
- 6:38Speaker 5: speed limit across the city to twenty miles an hour. That, however,
- 6:42Speaker 5: is something that can only be done with a local
- 6:45Speaker 5: law change to the city administrative code, and we do
- 6:49Speaker 5: support the City council taking those efforts.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Yeah. Now the good news is the city council speaker
- 6:56Speaker 2: Julie Mennon, who is a common since she's a Democrat,
- 7:00Speaker 2: the little left wing but common sense, and I don't
- 7:03Speaker 2: think she'll do it. He's talking about fifteen miles an
- 7:06Speaker 2: hour speed limit fifteen. You can't drive fifteen miles an hour.
- 7:09Speaker 2: It's impossible, it can't be done. So he keeps pushing
- 7:14Speaker 2: this stuff. She doesn't get it done, hopefully, Mom, Donnie
- 7:18Speaker 2: just hobbles along for the next four years, getting nothing done,
- 7:21Speaker 2: just talking, which is all he ever did, just talk
- 7:24Speaker 2: his crazy wife, you know, Mom, Donnie very anti Semitic,
- 7:29Speaker 2: anti a lot of stuff, but his wife really anti
- 7:32Speaker 2: Semitic and has a bad, bad history. On Twitter on
- 7:37Speaker 2: x people would post stuff about October seventh, the genocide,
- 7:42Speaker 2: the killing of Jews, the raping, the killing the babies,
- 7:45Speaker 2: and she'd click like on it multiple times. October seventh stuff,
- 7:51Speaker 2: the ugly holocaust of October seven. She's clicking like on
- 7:54Speaker 2: all these posts horrifying, absolutely horrifying. She's getting the lot
- 8:00Speaker 2: of flak. Her name is a Rama Duagie. She's been
- 8:04Speaker 2: in hiding. She doesn't come out, but everybody noticed that
- 8:08Speaker 2: yesterday she deleted her old Twitter account, her old ex account.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Instead of deleting the bad posts, she deleted the whole
- 8:14Speaker 2: account because the whole thing was bad posts. It was
- 8:18Speaker 2: all bad, really bad, ugly stuff. Hey, that wacko Joe Kent,
- 8:23Speaker 2: he's the guy that was the counterintelligence national. They give
- 8:27Speaker 2: him these big titles in the swamp. Joe Kent, National Counterintelligence,
- 8:31Speaker 2: Director of Intelligence, counter this counter that who resigned and
- 8:35Speaker 2: he said the Iran war is ridiculous. No, was no threat.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Now the real reason he resigned is he's under investigation
- 8:44Speaker 2: for leaking classified information. This guy will probably end up
- 8:48Speaker 2: in jail. The investigation has been going on for months
- 8:52Speaker 2: and it was heating up, and that's one reason he
- 8:54Speaker 2: resigned to get all this attention. So he becomes some
- 8:57Speaker 2: sort of martyr when they go after him in court.
- 9:01Speaker 2: But he's a real just something really wrong with this guy.
- 9:06Speaker 2: First of all, he's been saying for many years that
- 9:08Speaker 2: we have to go after Iran is a threat. Now
- 9:11Speaker 2: he's claiming the opposite. He goes on the Tucker Carlson
- 9:15Speaker 2: podcast of all places, and starts going into this anti
- 9:19Speaker 2: Semitic nonsense, crazy wacko conspiracy stuff with Tucker Carlson, perfect
- 9:26Speaker 2: place for it, perfect setting for it, and he says
- 9:29Speaker 2: Israel is behind Charlie Kirk's assassination. Yeah, somehow Israel he
- 9:35Speaker 2: believes was behind Charlie Kirk's assassination. Thinks it's a strong possibility,
- 9:39Speaker 2: and again, just anti Semitic nonsense. That's Joe Kent. Hey,
- 9:44Speaker 2: you know the Save Act, it's just simple logic, common sense.
- 9:48Speaker 2: It would mean enforce the law. The law is you
- 9:51Speaker 2: got to be an American citizen to vote in an
- 9:53Speaker 2: American election, and you show your ID, your driver's license,
- 9:58Speaker 2: your photo I D when you go vote. It's done
- 10:02Speaker 2: all the time. You know, if you want to buy
- 10:07Speaker 2: anything anything anywhere, you got to show photo ID in
- 10:10Speaker 2: a drug store to get the prescription medicine, to enter
- 10:14Speaker 2: an office building, you got to show photo ID everything
- 10:18Speaker 2: everywhere you turn. Everybody has a photo ID. Everybody needs
- 10:21Speaker 2: to show it every day of their life somewhere. So
- 10:25Speaker 2: Democrats don't want that because if you don't have to
- 10:27Speaker 2: show id then anybody can vote. They can get illegal
- 10:30Speaker 2: aliens to vote, they can get people to vote twice,
- 10:34Speaker 2: they can get the non citizens to vote. It can happen.
- 10:38Speaker 2: And that's the reason you do the Save Acts. Perfect
- 10:40Speaker 2: common sense. Anybody with any logic of common sense would
- 10:44Speaker 2: be for it. Democrats are opposing it. The only reason
- 10:47Speaker 2: you would oppose it if you want to make sure
- 10:50Speaker 2: that non citizens can vote. And that's where you get
- 10:53Speaker 2: Schumer and all these wackos. But Schumer yesterday's yelling and
- 10:58Speaker 2: screaming about it, and he said, yeah, well, what about
- 11:01Speaker 2: the illegals voting goes, Well, almost no non citizens vote,
- 11:04Speaker 2: Almost no illegals vote. That's their argument that it happens
- 11:08Speaker 2: in small numbers, not enough to affect the election. But
- 11:12Speaker 2: everybody pointing out he just admitted it happens. If almost
- 11:16Speaker 2: no illegals vote, that means some illegals are voting, So
- 11:19Speaker 2: you got to stop that. Then the other Democratic idiot, Warnock,
- 11:23Speaker 2: he's talking about Georgia, his state, and he said, well,
- 11:26Speaker 2: we only found twenty cases of illegals voting. Well, if
- 11:29Speaker 2: you only found twenty, that means it's probably a few hundred.
- 11:32Speaker 2: But it shouldn't happen. There's no excuse for this kind
- 11:35Speaker 2: of stuff. So they're actually admitting. Now their argument is, well,
- 11:39Speaker 2: it happens, just in a small way, but they're admitting
- 11:42Speaker 2: it does happen, So you need the save Act. Hey,
- 11:45Speaker 2: we're talking about Governor of Arkansas, Sarah Huckabee Sanders. She
- 11:51Speaker 2: and some whoever she's talking to. They go go to
- 11:54Speaker 2: lunch in a restaurant in Little Rock and they have
- 11:59Speaker 2: with them a secure already detailed State police that sort
- 12:02Speaker 2: of stuff, and they're sitting at a big table in
- 12:05Speaker 2: the restaurant. When this was Friday, March thirteenth, it's called
- 12:11Speaker 2: the Croissanterie. Now the croissantie is I guess that's supposed
- 12:17Speaker 2: to be shekh in Arkansas. It's like Andy Griffiths show
- 12:22Speaker 2: type of croissant. But apparently they were there for a
- 12:25Speaker 2: while and somebody from the restaurant comes over to the
- 12:28Speaker 2: state police guy and tells them to leave. They got
- 12:32Speaker 2: to leave, and he's a little shocked. Why would they
- 12:35Speaker 2: have to leave, And well, you've been there an hour
- 12:38Speaker 2: and fifteen minutes. There's a ninety minute limit. But then
- 12:40Speaker 2: he according to the state police, I would believe the
- 12:42Speaker 2: state police on this, and he says, you're making everybody
- 12:46Speaker 2: uncomfortable because of her political views. I would imagine in
- 12:53Speaker 2: the croissantie the employees are young, stupid, and he actually
- 12:59Speaker 2: said it out loud. The state police she she has
- 13:03Speaker 2: to leave. She's making everybody uncomfortable because of her political
- 13:07Speaker 2: beliefs and her values. Well, obviously it's Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Her political beliefs are fine, her values are excellent. Her father,
- 13:19Speaker 2: Mike Huckabee too excellent. Now, the owner of the cassantres
- 13:24Speaker 2: put out some long statement saying she was asked to
- 13:30Speaker 2: encourage the governor to leave she had finished dining. It
- 13:34Speaker 2: doesn't make any sense the restaurant, certainly. I'm trying to
- 13:40Speaker 2: find the statement. We regret being this position. We had
- 13:43Speaker 2: to make a difficult decision. However, we stand by our choice.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Absolutely ridiculous. I would hope this place gets closed down.
- 13:51Speaker 2: It's absolutely disgusting. We became aware that the governor had
- 13:55Speaker 2: arrived at the restaurant, and we were surprised and uncertain,
- 13:59Speaker 2: and I mean absolutely idiotic. First of all, well, it
- 14:07Speaker 2: made them feel uncomfortable, and he also said they felt threatened,
- 14:11Speaker 2: they felt threatened by the governor's president. She's got like
- 14:13Speaker 2: four or five state police sitting there. I can't think
- 14:16Speaker 2: of a safer thing for a restaurant. And normally people
- 14:20Speaker 2: get excited when the governor comes into us. She's the governor.
- 14:23Speaker 2: And if you're that uncomfortable and threatened by her presence,
- 14:25Speaker 2: leave the state, move out of the state, go somewhere else. Hey,
- 14:29Speaker 2: we'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three to two
- 14:31Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three
- 14:35Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten.
- 14:37Speaker 4: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 14:40Speaker 4: time and tap the preset button. Now.
- 14:43Speaker 6: Now back to the Mark Simone Show on wor.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Hey, you know the CBS network we we mentioned earlier
- 14:53Speaker 2: in the program, there are going to be a lot
- 14:54Speaker 2: of layoffs today over at CBS News. You know, they
- 14:57Speaker 2: have CBS News and they do the NewsCap on television,
- 15:00Speaker 2: but you know there's also the CBS Radio network News.
- 15:05Speaker 2: And if you used to listen to the old WCBS Radio,
- 15:08Speaker 2: you remember at the top of the hour they'd go
- 15:10Speaker 2: to the network CBS Radio News, and top of the
- 15:13Speaker 2: hour they would do the news. Well, a lot of
- 15:14Speaker 2: stations around the country would carry the CBS Radio News
- 15:19Speaker 2: as their news source, and on top of the hour,
- 15:22Speaker 2: the network newscast was just announced.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Hard to believe.
- 15:27Speaker 2: CBS management just put out this statement today. We informed
- 15:32Speaker 2: our CBS News Radio team and our approximately seven hundred
- 15:37Speaker 2: affiliates that we will end the service on May twenty second,
- 15:41Speaker 2: twenty twenty six. No more CBS Radio News, no more
- 15:46Speaker 2: CBS News Radio. Closing down the whole thing, not just
- 15:50Speaker 2: eliminating some jobs, shutting down the whole CBS News Radio service.
- 15:54Speaker 2: It will not exist. It's been around one hundred years.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Edward R. Murrow was on CBS News Radio, Walter Cronkite, Lowell,
- 16:02Speaker 2: Thomas dan Rather, Mike Wallace. It's gone May twenty second.
- 16:08Speaker 2: What's that like? Two months? You have to do that,
- 16:10Speaker 2: by the way, because you have seven hundred affiliates. He
- 16:12Speaker 2: can't just shut it off Monday. You have to give
- 16:15Speaker 2: all your affiliates time to find another network to use.
- 16:18Speaker 2: But that's interesting. Let's go to Stuart in South Carolina. Stuart,
- 16:22Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 16:23Speaker 4: Hey?
- 16:24Speaker 6: Mark?
- 16:24Speaker 7: You know I want to mention about these speed cameras
- 16:27Speaker 7: and red light cameras. You know, I've been a police officer.
- 16:29Speaker 7: Next year'll be fifty years, and I believe they are
- 16:31Speaker 7: completely unconstitutional. And the reason is that when an officer arrests,
- 16:37Speaker 7: say for a misdemeanor, which is, you know, running a
- 16:40Speaker 7: red light or speeding, he has to witness that that
- 16:43Speaker 7: infraction to make an arrest. And the ticket is actually
- 16:47Speaker 7: an arrest, but you're you're being released.
- 16:49Speaker 2: On the camera takes a photograph, that's kind of a witness.
- 16:54Speaker 7: It does. But the problem is mark that you have
- 16:56Speaker 7: to have an individual, an officer, witness that infraction. And
- 17:02Speaker 7: when you have a camera, a camera cannot testify in
- 17:05Speaker 7: court to your speed or that you ran a red light.
- 17:08Speaker 7: That's why people wear monkey masks and bags over their
- 17:11Speaker 7: heads and they change their license plates and put covers
- 17:15Speaker 7: over them. I don't believe we have them in the South.
- 17:19Speaker 2: It'll be quicker just to go to speed limited, wait
- 17:21Speaker 2: in line, a distort to buy a monkey mask. And hey,
- 17:24Speaker 2: let me ask you off the record question. It's speed
- 17:27Speaker 2: limit for fifty five now guys going on sixty one
- 17:31Speaker 2: miles now? Would you pull them over for that?
- 17:32Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 17:33Speaker 7: No, I allowed fifteen miles over and most offs are
- 17:36Speaker 7: down here too. Fifteen yeah, who oh absolutely, yeah, yeah,
- 17:40Speaker 7: even on. We have Highway one here, which is forty
- 17:45Speaker 7: five or fifty five. A lot of times we'd allow
- 17:48Speaker 7: about sixty nine or seventy wow. Yeah, and then a
- 17:50Speaker 7: lot of times if the people are nice, we would
- 17:53Speaker 7: break it down to say fifty nine and fifty which
- 17:56Speaker 7: is a two point ticket. As long as you don't
- 17:58Speaker 7: have any other tickets, it doesn't make your insurance go up. Yeah,
- 18:01Speaker 7: so there are ways of doing things.
- 18:03Speaker 2: All right, great, call as always Stuart. Let's go to
- 18:06Speaker 2: dan Port Jefferson, Dan, how you doing?
- 18:09Speaker 8: Andy?
- 18:09Speaker 6: Mark?
- 18:09Speaker 3: Great?
- 18:11Speaker 9: You know you're talking about democrats or left people saying
- 18:15Speaker 9: people finding it hard to get IDs, they can't get
- 18:18Speaker 9: IDs to are those people we want electing our officials.
- 18:23Speaker 9: We really want them voting. If they can't get an ID.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Everybody can get an idea. It's just that democratic racism.
- 18:29Speaker 2: They're so racist. They actually say that minorities well they would,
- 18:32Speaker 2: they wouldn't know how to get a photo. It's the
- 18:34Speaker 2: most racist thing imaginable. Rich and Myrtle Beach, Rich, how
- 18:38Speaker 2: you doing?
- 18:39Speaker 3: Hey?
- 18:39Speaker 8: You know Stuart, there is right because in Myrtle Beach
- 18:41Speaker 8: we got this main highway thirty one, which say shift
- 18:44Speaker 8: from South Mortle Beach and North Myrtle Beach about twenty
- 18:46Speaker 8: five miles and then speed limit there sixty five and
- 18:49Speaker 8: people are passing me at seventy five and they let
- 18:51Speaker 8: you go to almost eighty, which is about fifteen over.
- 18:54Speaker 8: And I wonder if Stuart has the same pine problem,
- 18:57Speaker 8: a pine pole and problem we have here right now.
- 19:00Speaker 8: It's pine pollen season where everything is covered in a
- 19:03Speaker 8: green dust as the pine trees are all starting to
- 19:06Speaker 8: release their power.
- 19:09Speaker 2: What's that sound?
- 19:12Speaker 8: So it's unbelievable, Your eyes are irritated, your alergies come up.
- 19:16Speaker 8: Everything is covered in a green dust until we get
- 19:18Speaker 8: a heavy rain of wave.
- 19:20Speaker 2: New York, stay in New York, Rich, thanks for calling.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Uh oh, let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how
- 19:26Speaker 2: you doing?
- 19:27Speaker 3: I'm doing good. Mark. If I were the yowner of that,
- 19:30Speaker 3: what'd you say to Christia? I would immediately call my exterminator,
- 19:36Speaker 3: have a new inspection sticker, a certificate dawn of the
- 19:41Speaker 3: kitchen and the bathman in the restaurant, because guaranteed before
- 19:47Speaker 3: h this weekends over, somebody from the state Health Department
- 19:51Speaker 3: in offense or is going to pay a visit to
- 19:54Speaker 3: that restaurant, and magically they're going to find mice and rats,
- 20:00Speaker 3: feces in the kitchen, in the food prep area, some
- 20:04Speaker 3: dead cockroaches, and they're going to close that restaurant down.
- 20:09Speaker 3: As you said, Mark, I noticed the blue cities in
- 20:13Speaker 3: Blue states Man Dommy's what he did the other day
- 20:16Speaker 3: is a perfect example. Yesterday you were talking about how
- 20:20Speaker 3: he took out the criminal prosecution of any person on
- 20:26Speaker 3: a bicycle committing a traffic infraction. Now if you look
- 20:31Speaker 3: at all these e riders, these door dash riders, grub Hub,
- 20:35Speaker 3: look at them, most of them are Indians, Pakistani, Southeast Asians.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Those are his large part of those people are his
- 20:45Speaker 3: voting base, and he's protecting all his homeboys. And in
- 20:51Speaker 3: other instances, the city passes laws where you got to
- 20:56Speaker 3: hire people who work in the his voting block. For example,
- 21:02Speaker 3: last year they passed the law that it didn't apply
- 21:05Speaker 3: to me, but certain people. If you have a brick
- 21:09Speaker 3: or mercenary power parapet on your building, you have to
- 21:14Speaker 3: have that inspected. I didn't I have a wooden corners,
- 21:19Speaker 3: so visit we got the people who worked those trades, Mark,
- 21:23Speaker 3: I ammigrants, true, not the tains it In the Irish of
- 21:28Speaker 3: fifty sixty years ago. So at one end he's pulling
- 21:33Speaker 3: liability away from them, and on the other end he's
- 21:36Speaker 3: steering business with them.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Vinca, we gotta go. We gotta do the news, Vincent.
- 21:41Speaker 2: But thanks for calling. Great call. When we come back,
- 21:44Speaker 2: Charlie Gasparino, he'll be with us next on seven to ten.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Wo R Mister Marks amountains.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Wr Well, we turned out of the best business reporter
- 21:59Speaker 2: in America, Gasparino. You see him on the Fox Business Network.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Read his columns New York Posts. Also, he wrote one
- 22:06Speaker 2: of the best books ever. If you haven't read it,
- 22:07Speaker 2: get the book Go Woke, Go Broke by Charlie Gasprino.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Just go to Amazon and order Go Woke, Go Broke.
- 22:15Speaker 2: It's a great book. Charlie Gasparino. How you doing?
- 22:18Speaker 6: How you doing? Mark? Great to hear from you.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, do we have the craziest governor in the
- 22:23Speaker 2: world here this Kathy Okle tells everybody to leave. Now
- 22:26Speaker 2: she's telling meybody to come back? What is wrong with her?
- 22:29Speaker 6: He's an idiot? I mean, you know, I'm sorry I
- 22:33Speaker 6: shouldn't say that, but yes, because I've been reading this
- 22:38Speaker 6: as much as you have, and you know, I mean
- 22:41Speaker 6: if you create this environment where it's very difficult for people,
- 22:46Speaker 6: not just really rich people who can leave in a second.
- 22:48Speaker 6: By the way, now, if you're really rich, you can
- 22:50Speaker 6: literally set up to keep your apartment here in Manhattan,
- 22:53Speaker 6: live down there whatever, you know, six months in the
- 22:56Speaker 6: day or whatever, do most of your business down there.
- 22:59Speaker 6: Fly up occasionally. Oh, it's no problem. And we need
- 23:02Speaker 6: those really rich people because they pay all the bills.
- 23:05Speaker 6: If you're a middle class person, you got to move
- 23:07Speaker 6: all together, and she's making it impossible for both of
- 23:10Speaker 6: them to stay here. It's it's it's just unbelievable. And
- 23:16Speaker 6: you know, I you know, it's kind of like we're
- 23:20Speaker 6: a kind of end stage in my view, liberalism or
- 23:25Speaker 6: progressivism here in New York, where it's kind of obvious
- 23:29Speaker 6: that the formula doesn't work. Mark. It's like if you
- 23:32Speaker 6: tax people, you're pushing on a string. It's there's people
- 23:37Speaker 6: are going to go away if you elect If some
- 23:40Speaker 6: guy like Mondamie gets in there, sneaks in with fifty
- 23:43Speaker 6: percent of the vote and starts talking about you know,
- 23:47Speaker 6: Gaza during Saint Patrick's day, more people, you know what
- 23:51Speaker 6: I'm saying. I mean, if you if you just literally
- 23:55Speaker 6: keep packing, essentially extort fifty plus percent of your of
- 24:01Speaker 6: someone's wages to taxes. When you get garbage piled up
- 24:04Speaker 6: all over the place where the schools aren't good, they're
- 24:07Speaker 6: gonna leave. And it's just and that's what they've been doing.
- 24:10Speaker 6: And they don't care that they have this impact, it seems,
- 24:15Speaker 6: because there's a vicious circle where they kind of all
- 24:18Speaker 6: benefit themselves right now, the teachers union what with special interests,
- 24:22Speaker 6: but the taxpayers. This is a free country. You can move,
- 24:26Speaker 6: So I think they're screwed. I mean, I've written a
- 24:28Speaker 6: few stories about the New York City budget situation. It
- 24:31Speaker 6: is in desperate It's going to be in desperate situation
- 24:33Speaker 6: because Wall Street does not have to be here anymore.
- 24:36Speaker 6: And that's the only thing keeping this thing going is
- 24:38Speaker 6: is you know, banker bonuses. And when those banker bonuses leave, uh,
- 24:43Speaker 6: and they will leave increasingly. JP Morgan has more people
- 24:46Speaker 6: in Texas than it has in New York City. Really
- 24:49Speaker 6: fight the fact they have Yeah, fite the fact that
- 24:52Speaker 6: they have building on Park Avenue. They have more people
- 24:56Speaker 6: in Texas right now, and so that will continue, That
- 24:59Speaker 6: will mee bank of bonuses going into the Texas hop
- 25:03Speaker 6: the Texas budget as opposed to ours and every place else.
- 25:07Speaker 6: And it's only because these guys killed the it was
- 25:11Speaker 6: they killed the Golden Goose. I guess you could say
- 25:14Speaker 6: they made been able to live here. And I told
- 25:16Speaker 6: you this and you were like, oh, I told you.
- 25:19Speaker 6: I said, ready, I'm going to get out, and you're like, oh,
- 25:21Speaker 6: you're not gonna get out. Of course you're gonna get out.
- 25:24Speaker 6: You can't deal with this long term. There's there's almost
- 25:27Speaker 6: no solution really because the state is run. I mean,
- 25:31Speaker 6: I mean, how can you convince It seems like if
- 25:35Speaker 6: Bruce Blakeman can't be governor and I like Bruce a lot, Yeah,
- 25:38Speaker 6: I think he'd be a good He's a modern guyanalytic socialia.
- 25:42Speaker 6: If he can't become governor in this state, then you know,
- 25:45Speaker 6: the you know, whoever's left here is too stupid. They're
- 25:50Speaker 6: just gonna keep voting for this garbage. So you know
- 25:53Speaker 6: why fight? Just leave? That's the best way to fight.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Maybe, But Wall Street it's called Wall Street? Could they
- 26:00Speaker 2: actually be somewhere else?
- 26:02Speaker 6: Well? Have you ever gone down to Wall Street these days?
- 26:07Speaker 6: Down there? I mean, go excide, The New York stock
- 26:09Speaker 6: is change. Remember that the iconic New York opening belt.
- 26:14Speaker 6: Aside for those two photo ops where they kind of
- 26:17Speaker 6: get people to they probably bust them into, like to
- 26:20Speaker 6: make it look like it's something's going on down there,
- 26:24Speaker 6: there's nothing going on. It's all computers. It's done, and
- 26:28Speaker 6: it's just done. It's just I was talking to Dick Grasso,
- 26:31Speaker 6: the legendary Yeah, because you try to preserve the human
- 26:36Speaker 6: element of it, which in many ways is a good
- 26:38Speaker 6: thing because you know, computers break down a lot too.
- 26:41Speaker 6: And you know, we were both laughing about how this
- 26:43Speaker 6: is like, it's it's nothing, and they and they. You know,
- 26:48Speaker 6: by the way, technology did that, not liberalism, but liberalism
- 26:51Speaker 6: and progressivism, you know, helped helped expedite people from you know,
- 26:56Speaker 6: starting up businesses. By the way, if the SOCCA change
- 27:00Speaker 6: sort of morphed into something electronic, there's all these buildings
- 27:04Speaker 6: down there, office space. You would think if you had
- 27:06Speaker 6: a vibrant economy of entrepreneurs, you'd be able to fill
- 27:09Speaker 6: those with with people, and you really can't. I mean,
- 27:13Speaker 6: there's not a lot of business down there. It's a
- 27:14Speaker 6: it's a residential neighborhood because we need residential properties in
- 27:18Speaker 6: New York. But they're very high end and this is
- 27:21Speaker 6: a very unlivable place mark in so many ways, and
- 27:24Speaker 6: this Hopeles is so stupid. I mean, she's I mean,
- 27:29Speaker 6: you know, she should be one way of the up
- 27:31Speaker 6: she I mean, it's like, you know, Andrew Cuomo tried
- 27:33Speaker 6: to do the same thing. He tried to like thread
- 27:35Speaker 6: the needle. Okay, I'll pease the liberal base, but I'll
- 27:39Speaker 6: also you know, you know, I won't go so far.
- 27:42Speaker 6: And you know, people in the middle will flock to
- 27:45Speaker 6: me because because the alternative is so bad. Well guess what,
- 27:49Speaker 6: that doesn't happen. The people in the middle off in
- 27:51Speaker 6: leagues because they don't. Because they don't they're sick of
- 27:55Speaker 6: your You're sort of you're you're you're sort of a
- 27:59Speaker 6: little less wild and maybe more somewhat more palatable progressivism
- 28:05Speaker 6: because I don't want to deal.
- 28:06Speaker 3: With because.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Well, you wrote them. You wrote the book, Oh Cove Brooke.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Everybody should read that, especially Kathy Hochel.
- 28:16Speaker 6: I mean, I mean, god, I can't I can't believe
- 28:20Speaker 6: she's having it. She's like in a it's like she's
- 28:23Speaker 6: like high on something, right, and she's just ruminating. I mean,
- 28:27Speaker 6: think about how you're saying she sounds.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I think that's more just a case of
- 28:32Speaker 2: having an IQ about ninety six. That's probably what it is.
- 28:36Speaker 6: I don't know, but I mean you would think about it.
- 28:39Speaker 6: I mean, you're sitting there, you're raising taxes, and then
- 28:42Speaker 6: you're begging people come back, come back, so I can screw.
- 28:45Speaker 2: You, uh, Charlie Gasparino straight, So horrormose. This is everybody
- 28:53Speaker 2: going crazy when you bet the straights horrmuse will be
- 28:56Speaker 2: open three four weeks from now.
- 28:59Speaker 6: I you know, I talked to some traders last night. Well,
- 29:02Speaker 6: you know, commodities traders. There is a trade going on
- 29:05Speaker 6: that says this entire sort of notion that you know,
- 29:08Speaker 6: oil supply is totally disrupted is blowney, and that we
- 29:13Speaker 6: do have a lot of oil, that these are often
- 29:16Speaker 6: these are on fear headlines, and not only that that
- 29:19Speaker 6: they are exaggerated by the algorithms that control a lot
- 29:23Speaker 6: of the trading. And so let me ask you this,
- 29:27Speaker 6: is there really a shortage of oil in the United States?
- 29:31Speaker 2: No, Actually, we don't get we don't use any of
- 29:33Speaker 2: that oil from hormones.
- 29:35Speaker 6: Yeah, how about it around the world, is there like
- 29:37Speaker 6: are people like like doing odd and even days in
- 29:40Speaker 6: Germany right now, I remember the odd and even days,
- 29:44Speaker 6: like if you had an odd number on your license,
- 29:45Speaker 6: but you can get guests that day even the next thing.
- 29:49Speaker 6: I'm just saying, I'm just wondering, like, where is the
- 29:51Speaker 6: supply problem here that you know we're getting these freakouts.
- 29:56Speaker 6: I mean, are you mean to tell me that that
- 29:59Speaker 6: if you close the that there's no solution to the
- 30:02Speaker 6: these streets of her moves come? I mean, I think
- 30:07Speaker 6: it's listen, I think it's going to be solved. I
- 30:11Speaker 6: think that war is over. Basically, you know, the Uranians
- 30:15Speaker 6: lie about everything, Oh we'll do this. Well, they have
- 30:17Speaker 6: nothing left but to lie and scare their population. And
- 30:22Speaker 6: you know, at some point there will be a tipping
- 30:25Speaker 6: in my view, I mean, I spoke with Jack Devine.
- 30:28Speaker 6: You know, Jack ever gonna be worked at UAH. It
- 30:31Speaker 6: was topsy because there's no haint they're going to let
- 30:34Speaker 6: the streets of her Moves remain closed forever and it's
- 30:37Speaker 6: just never gonna happen, and it's just it's gonna end soon.
- 30:41Speaker 6: I would I would be surprised if it's four weeks.
- 30:44Speaker 2: About two weeks, two and a half weeks. It'll be open.
- 30:46Speaker 6: But yeah, I mean I think it'll be more. It
- 30:48Speaker 6: will increasingly be open, you know. Yeah.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Well, Charlie gasp always great talking to you. And uh, everybody,
- 30:55Speaker 2: get this book. I'm telling you one of a few
- 30:57Speaker 2: people haven't read it yet. Get his latest book, Go Walk,
- 31:00Speaker 2: Go Broke. It is a fantastic book. Go woke, Go broke.
- 31:04Speaker 2: And read his columns in The New York Post. And
- 31:06Speaker 2: you can be on TV today.
- 31:09Speaker 6: No, I don't know. I haven't gotten a request. I
- 31:10Speaker 6: was on yesterday. I did the Will Kine Show. Lawrence
- 31:14Speaker 6: Jones was.
- 31:16Speaker 2: A very good show.
- 31:18Speaker 6: Yeah, it's really good. So I did that and I
- 31:20Speaker 6: was supposed to do. I couldn't do Lord's Show last night.
- 31:23Speaker 6: But I don't know. They know how to get me
- 31:26Speaker 6: if they want me.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Yeah, well you'll you'll see them all over Fox News,
- 31:28Speaker 2: Fox Business Network. Great stuff, Charlie Gasparino, thanks for being
- 31:32Speaker 2: with us.
- 31:33Speaker 3: You've got it.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Mark, take care, Hey, don't forget. Curtis is back. Curtis Lewa.
- 31:38Speaker 2: He's on every morning here six to ten. It's Curtis
- 31:42Speaker 2: Leiwa and Larry MENTI now on seven to ten WR.
- 31:46Speaker 7: More Mark The Mark Simone Show on WR.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Hey, there's a new poll out Democrats for president of
- 31:56Speaker 2: twenty twenty eight Harris, Kamala Harris, total disaster, total disaster
- 32:01Speaker 2: in the post, no shot at all. Newsome well, he
- 32:06Speaker 2: was ahead of Kamala Harris, but didn't do as well
- 32:08Speaker 2: as you think. He's slipping. Hey, we're out of time.
- 32:11Speaker 2: The good news is it's now spring. We're one hour
- 32:13Speaker 2: into spring. It's officially spring twenty twenty six. I'll be
- 32:17Speaker 2: back on Monday. Hey, you can listen to the show anytime,
- 32:20Speaker 2: just get the podcast. Also, remember, if you're a podcast listener,
- 32:23Speaker 2: there's an extra show, a bonus segment on the weekends.
- 32:26Speaker 2: So I'll see a Monday on seven to ten. Wo
