Morning — April 22 — Leviticus 1:3-4
If one’s offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he is to present an unblemished male. He must bring it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting for its acceptance before the LORD. — Leviticus 1:3-4
The old sacrificial system could not clear a guilty conscience; it existed to point forward to a perfect substitute. Jesus offered Himself once in history, bearing the full weight of sin's punishment. God now credits His righteousness to every believer, freeing us forever from the exhausting work of earning our own forgiveness.
