A rabid cat in Liberty, South Carolina, has exposed two people—prompting urgent medical advice—and marks the seventh rabies case in Anderson County this year. With over 130 cases annually since 2002 and 69 reported so far this year statewide, health officials are urging caution: avoid wild or stray animals, call animal control instead of touching them, and ensure your pets are vaccinated.
