Micaiah: You are you are engaged to a woman, are you not? Simeon M Schlicher: Pre poo best in Jushold People, too. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: who listens to ninety five percent country. Micaiah: She kne she didn't have a bieber phase. Roberto Con Queso: I don't think so. Micaiah: All right. Well, maybe just text her. Find out. Text her right now. Find out. Okay. All right. we got a great show for you. We some people have been fired. Some people have been arrested. Some people are making way more money than the Big 12. We are pending a response, Simeon M Schlicher: Ha ha ha. Micaiah: whether Robert's fiance it was a believer. I believe that was the correct term back in the day. So just hang out here. and thank you for listening in. Men, how are we doing today? We started roughly on time. Simeon's got control of the sound bites, so I do apologize for anything that might transpire throughout the show. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: How are we doing today? Simeon M Schlicher: Listen, we're here. We got a we got a glass of red. I'm with my boys. We'll see what happens. You never know. Micaiah: That's true, Robert. Roberto Con Queso: some news from the front lines. No, she did not have a Justin Bieber phase. Yes. Micaiah: Okay. All right. Well then Simeon M Schlicher: I gotta ask, even though this is not make good podcasting, what was the context on why you were asking if I knew Baby by Justin Bieber? Micaiah: because the song's stuck in my head. Yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: okay. I can do most of the ludicrous rap I think. But I also can do Micaiah: So Simeon M Schlicher: most of the ludicrous rap of of Yeah by Usher. Twitch Micaiah: yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: if we knew, as all lore goes, fourth and one podcast lore goes, is the song that I ripped my pants to at my wedding. Micaiah: Okay. I I think I blocked that memory out. You you Simeon M Schlicher: That was a great memory. Micaiah: didn't you take your pants off at my wedding? Simeon M Schlicher: Yes, I I was stripped down to my immi undies and I jumped into a pond. Micaiah: Alright, so maybe at Robert's wedding we can leave the pants on. Roberto Con Queso: Well let's let's there is like a considerably sized pond lake, so let's stay out of it. Micaiah: my Simeon M Schlicher: Well, Robert, is it an open bar? Roberto Con Queso: not techn no. not really. Yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: The answer is not from you, Simeon. That's the what you're looking for there. Roberto Con Queso: I mean I'm buying the alcohol, so Micaiah: So not for Simeon. That's all that's all you gotta say. Simeon M Schlicher: So none for you see that guy, you see that creep with the mustache, Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: immediately. One drink, he's done. Micaiah: Yeah, yeah. You look like you see that guy who looks like he's gonna take off his pants, none for him. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: Does he look like he went to Penn State in the eighties? Yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: Is that a is is that a okay, sorry. It's the mustache. Micaiah: Yeah. Wait, as an adult or a child Roberto Con Queso: That's for the viewers to to figure out. Micaiah: Okay. All right. All right. So we got some news that came down yesterday or two days ago. out of Chapel Hill. Mike Lombardi, who is Simeon M Schlicher: Go Targas. Micaiah: who is Bill Belichick's right hand man. He is the GM. He is the highest paying GM in all of college sports, at least public record-wise, Pete Thammel wants that known very very clearly. He was fired. Or not fired, but placed on administrative leave so far because of an HR complaint stemming from a former UF UNC staff member. That would be a member of Mike Lombardi's staff. And and we're not gonna get into the details of that because the details aren't known yet and whether or not this wraps up before or after or during the college football season, who really cares? Robert, what I want to get into and ask you is is this an overall of just this Bill Bel should UNC let me rephrase the question, should UNC just pull the rep cord now on this Bill Belichick experiment? Roberto Con Queso: no. I don't think so. What what else are they gonna do? That's the gre Who who are they going to get that is a better football coach than Bill Belichick at this point? Now, whether you want to say, like speaking NFL wise, it was Tom Brady, it was Belichick, whatever. But I mean, he's still a really good coach and what do you like who are you gonna get to replace him in July and the season starts in like six six weeks. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, you're start you're starting fall you're starting fallball next week, aren't you? Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, like this Micaiah: Yeah, probably Roberto Con Queso: the season starts at the end of August. Micaiah: Well, and I do believe Simeon M Schlicher: And their season is week zero. Micaiah: Yeah, their season is week zero in Dublin. Simeon, Simeon M Schlicher: Erlingus. Micaiah: Simeon, just so you know, since you missed all of last college football season, Bill Belichick is the head coach of the UNC Tar Heels. And and this Simeon M Schlicher: It is his second year for sure. Micaiah: is his second year for sure, and he had a rough first year. He went four and eight. You were close. Simeon M Schlicher: And he went like three and seven or three and whatever. I was close. Micaiah: You were close. Four four and eight. And People around college football are saying are kind of happy that this is happening, the downfall of Bill Belichick is happening, because Bill Belichick came in with a moxie that I'm just I'm such a genius at football that I'm gonna take these kids, coach them up more than college coaches ever could before they got to the NFL, and I'm gonna make I'm gonna I can turn any program around. So Is that gonna work for UNC this year? They brought in 40 true freshmen. Last year's roster kind of sucked. How how do how are you you foreseeing UNC's college season going? Simeon M Schlicher: So like we always have a rule here, that year one doesn't count, right? you get in as a coach and you have to kind of take stock, right? Nowadays half your team leaves for sure and goes plays for the goes plays for the rival. So we have to look at it as what does year two look like, right? You just said they brought in how many f true freshmen? Micaiah: Forty. Simeon M Schlicher: So they they had a very successful, I would probably say, recruiting. time season whatever there's the word I'm looking for. Yes, thank you, Makaiah. They Micaiah: Cycle. You're welcome. Simeon M Schlicher: had a very successful recruiting they had a very successful recruiting cycle. but now it's kind of you have a recruiting cycle, you have a bunch of true freshmans, what can you do with them? so I think Bill Belichick has is is gonna run into the same issue that Texas Tech is gonna run into gonna run he ran into an issue last year that Texas Tech is going to run into this year was the on the field thing was not the story. Time and time again, the more the on the field, on the court, on the whatever is not the story, the worse your team does. Or your team never succeeds no matter how much drama is happening. i if there's more drama happening off the field than than on the field. And Bill Belitech's story was he has a 25-year-old girlfriend and she doesn't let him talk to anybody, and we don't talk about Their relationship and it was the UNC thing had way more to do with his relationship to her than it did with their absolute lackluster performance when Mac Brown did a much better job coaching them than Delichek ever did. even Mac Brown's worst season wasn't as brown as bad as as Bill's was. So I think I I give him four weeks. I give him four weeks and it's a mutual degree and it's a mutually agreed to part ways. Micaiah: It's it's yeah, go ahead, Robert. Roberto Con Queso: No, I was just gonna say I think it just all depends on what his buyout is. Micaiah: That that is true. And if you're only given four Simeon M Schlicher: He doesn't care. He's worth too much money. Micaiah: if you're if you're only given four weeks, that's rough. So you open with TCU and Sonny Dykes. We to we kind of mentioned them la last week. Sneaky flying under that radar, ten returning starters, Sonny Dykes always offensive minded coach. Then you play some double directional school, and then it's at Clemson and Notre Dame, and that's the Notre Dame game, that's four weeks. So he could very easily be one and three. Simeon M Schlicher: Am I good or am I good? Micaiah: But you get the two most or two of the three most difficult games on your schedule. You do have to play Miami on Halloween. but it's not an easy schedule. And and it's it's it could go from bad to worse. I I really wanted to see Bill Belichick succeed Simeon M Schlicher: They'll owe him thirty million if he leaves at week four. If they fire him. Micaiah: at the at the college level just because why not? Right? Like I think Tom Brady. gets too much credit and Bill Belichick gets not enough credit. And so I was hoping he would succeed at least a little bit, maybe not a national championship, but at least a little bit to be like, no, Bill Belichick was a great part. Simeon M Schlicher: I I think I ev the ACC what doesn't help is the ACC needs another team. And UNC's one of those people, right? North Carolina has had a massive influx in population. They should be way better at all sports, not just basketball, not just field hockey, not just lacrosse. And they're not, and they need to be. And so of course I think we want to see another team from the ACC instead of just Miami and whoever. Micaiah: in other college football news, the NIL content director, I don't even know what that position entitles, of Alabama was arrested in the human trafficking sting, which is such an Alabama thing. Simeon M Schlicher: That's a very that's that's Roberto Con Queso: Just means more Simeon M Schlicher: an it's an Ohio State move. Micaiah: It it it's very much it's a it's a sad story for sure, but it there's a lot of things that go on in college football, I think, that just are not reported, right? Because it just means more. And I really would, and I I really would kind of all around like This isn't nearly getting as much traction as Michigan advanced scouting or Ohio State's Tattoo thing back in the day, or even this Mike Lombardi placed on administrative leave, right? Like this human trafficking thing. This guy arrested. He should like that is in the scales of things, important things, that is like way higher than than something. So I figure I would just touch on that and let people know about that. Simeon M Schlicher: To I mean this is a horrible comparison. Technically Diddy one of his one of one of things he was charged with was also human trafficking because he technically took him across state lines. Is this the same sort of thing? The Micaiah: Well, I I think yeah, it's the same sort of thing. Simeon M Schlicher: the dude was literally getting him the the the team girls. Micaiah: I I I don't know if that was Roberto Con Queso: Maybe Micaiah: a thing, but maybe. Simeon M Schlicher: That's crazy. Micaiah: Maybe. Maybe. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. And especially when you start getting into bigger programs like the Alabamas, the Michigans, Ohio States. I mean a really good example is Georgia. But if it's anything that can potentially hurt the football program or the football booster, it's gonna tend to disappear very quickly. Simeon M Schlicher: Does wasn't there w didn't one of the social media NIL people like he moved teams, like a coach moved and then he w joined them and got an insane contract because the in the amount of money that he raised for some like FCS school or something like that. Is this ringing any bells for either of you? Micaiah: No. Roberto Con Queso: No. Simeon M Schlicher: okay. It's a it's a very important role, Mackay, basically is what I'm saying. Micaiah: So Robert, what you said is these big time college football teams, these arrests kind of go away, right? Which brings me to some a picture that you sent in the group chat, which is this picture, most arrests by college football teams since the year 2000. And Florida's number one with five hundred and thirty-nine. Next Simeon M Schlicher: That's great. Micaiah: is Miami with 554. The state of Florida is just not doing themselves any favors. Then Florida State's next with 436. Alabama 402. Ohio State 489. The number 23's Marshall at 183. Found that interesting. Number 22's NC State with 190 Iowa. What is what are we getting arrested in Iowa for? Driving through cornfields? 198. Not wait, Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah. D W I. Micaiah: not waving to the kids. So the bigger you are, the more. Leeway you definitely get. Simeon M Schlicher: You know what I'm surprised is on this list? I get that there's nothing to do in West Virginia, but Marshall's number twenty three at one eighty nine, one eighty three. Roberto Con Queso: Well, and it's one of those things too where it's obviously the bigger the program, the bigger the problems. Micaiah: Sure. Roberto Con Queso: And and obviously Florida's big number is obviously like a big eyesore, but most of them probably came from the urban Meyer era. Wasn't it? I sent this to you guys both you Micaiah: That's Simeon's like all time s that's Simeon's all time favorite stat, yeah. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, like of the number of people that were arrested and Simeon M Schlicher: Forty one players from their two thousand and eight national championship team. Forty one players were arrested. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, that's crazy. But again, Micaiah: It and and Roberto Con Queso: it circles back to well they're just kids, but they're not just kids because now they're employees, they're getting paid all this money. Micaiah: Well then well they're not just kids. They are 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 year olds, right? That is, by legal definition, an an adult. And if we are running programs that allow the amount of arrests, and I mean mi I mean people are gonna like, where's Michigan? Michigan on this list is number 15 at 248. So they are not without blame either. But if we're going to run programs that allow things like these arrests who stockpile as much as they are. Georgia, for example, currently with all this speeding, are we really doing these young adult men a disservice by just letting them letting them get away with this? Because as soon as they leave c college, they I and I and I hate to use absolutes 'cause only Sith deal in absolutes, if you will, for my For my Star Wars nerds, but like they're no longer valuable to the community that they're in. So there's no more, there's no extra leeway to give. So what kind of lessons are we teaching these young men, right? Roberto Con Queso: Th also the term arrest for everyone out there is very broad. it does Micaiah: True. Roberto Con Queso: it's n it you know, it's not like Florida has five hundred murderers out there. We know of one. Micaiah: Yeah, right. Could be DWIs. Simeon M Schlicher: and being arrested is not the same thing as being convicted. Micaiah: And and Roberto Con Queso: Okay, yeah. Micaiah: and that and that's also a fair point, right? But Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, I'm sure that a lot of them were just some drunken disorderlies in the club, too much, a little bit of booger sugar, you never know. South Beach. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, I also love I mean, we all know the Florida has a giant Micaiah: South beat. Yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: every Florida school has a giant discipline problem. It just comes with the state. Micaiah: S Simeon, your all-time two biggest takes are that fl the whole state of Florida, all the teams have a discipline p problem, and that college football is going to go to a relegation system. And you've been right one time, and you're heading down the tracks for for number two. The part-time podcaster. Simeon M Schlicher: Listen, if you have an you know, yeah, you're welcome. you know, we've been at this six years. We you I learned a thing or two. listen, d please bet responsibly, please game responsibly. If there's a game from a school from Florida, take the over on the penalties, that's all I'm saying. Micaiah: I'm sorry. Roberto Con Queso: Especially if it's Miami. Simeon M Schlicher: Especially if it's Miami. Micaiah: Brendan Soresby don't get any ideas. Okay? Alright. Simeon M Schlicher: Moving on. Micaiah: Moving on. we're gonna we're gonna talk SEC and kind of preview that. I I just I'm I'm so tired of Lane Kiffin already. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah. Micaiah: And it's the end of July. Lane Kiffin says he regrets how he exited from oldness. He really wishes he would have gone into the AD's office and said. I'm leaving. I would love to coach the team. He would have said no and he would have said I understand and walked out the door. Lane, then why didn't you just do that? Why do you gotta be problematic every single time you leave a place? Someone explain that to me. Roberto Con Queso: I mean, well, this is this is the PR version of trying to make it right on the face. I mean, like, well, you know, okay, maybe Lane's not really a bad guy, you know, he just was act you know, when he did it, he wasn't he was just running off of pure emotion, blah blah blah and stuff like that. And now he's He's pro at some point he more than likely is gonna find Jesus. He's gonna have he's Micaiah: If he Roberto Con Queso: gonna have a come to Jesus moment. He went to church, talked to the priest, pastor, whatever his denomination is, he's gonna talk to them. And, Simeon M Schlicher: Rabbi. Roberto Con Queso: you know, they told him, Hey, what you did was wasn't right, but you know, you can still make it right. And just go out there. Tell yourself, you know, tell everyone you're sorry, you could have done it differently and you know, if your friends will forgive you and then will move on. And they're gonna play that all the way until they play miss and it's gonna it'll be a whole thing. Micaiah: It it I he's like the toxic ex-girlfriend, right? That breaks up with her that always breaks up with her boyfriend and is always blaming the other place and is just like cheating on the boyfriend and then cheats on a really, really good guy, stable, over six feet, six figures, loyal, all that, cheats on him and then tells her friends, you know, I really regret doing that. I really miss him. Well, no duh. Right? Like, and her friends At this point in time, I'm looking at her and being like, you know what? No. For once, you're the problem. Not him at all. So from cheaters and toxic people, we're gonna go to teams making a whole bunch of money, way more than the Big 12. Okay, way more than the Big 12. And whoever the Big Simeon M Schlicher: Like twelve times more than the big twelve. Micaiah: 12 commissioner is needs to be fired immediately after hearing these numbers. So Notre Dame. Robert, shout out to you. Reached a multi-year deal. It's a six-year deal worth about $18 to $20 million per year to put the SoFi patch on their jerseys. What do you do to make money when you need money? You put logos on your jersey. Just for reference, so Notre Dame is making $20 million per year. Each Big 12 team, go Roberto Con Queso: There's also there's also a lot of really good things inside that Notre Dame deal as well. Micaiah: Other? I didn't I don't even see that. No, I I didn't see Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, did you look at so Micaiah: it. Please sh fill me in. Roberto Con Queso: So okay, I might have exaggerated and said it was a lot, but so SoFi's also establishing a new annual one point four million dollar fund to support Notre Dame's For Forever campaign, which funds scholarships in twenty six sports and supports student athletes through financial education, career development, and opportunities. That was the main one. I think there was like some other smaller things they were doing. But I was like, Okay, Micaiah: That's amazing. Roberto Con Queso: so not so not only is the team getting or the college, however you look at it, this eighteen to twenty million dollars per year. But then they're also getting that extra one point four that's gonna go to other scholarships that the college essentially isn't on the hook for. Micaiah: Yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, they also got they also picked up an additional scholarship for one female and one male walk on, who will be awarded who exemplifies ambition, resilience, and leadership and service. And we gotta give Mike Schleiba the credit for this article at ESPN. Micaiah: Shout out, first of all, to SoFi, but shout out to whatever lawyer for Notre Dame negotiated this deal because that is a heck of a deal. Number one, it's six years, not 15. So Brett Your Your Mark, I think that's your name. You're a clown. It's $18 million for the team. You set up scholarships for other student athletes and walk-ons in both men's and women's sports. Just fabulous, fabulous work. And you might be asking yourself, fourth in one podcast, that's Notre Dame. They're not in a conference, so they get all the conference money. And I would say, you know what? You're right. Except for the fact that the rivals from down south Ohio State did something similar. Ohio State and JP Morgan Chase. Signed a deal that brings them seventeen million dollars a year. So the Big Twelve, now you've been outdone twice. Now, the big twelve teams, I'm sure, can go out and get their own deal, but the fact that your conference brand Simeon M Schlicher: They can't they can't. It's an it's a it's a monster only. They can only have a monster patch on their s on their s on their thing. It was a it was a conference wide deal. Monster exclusive. Roberto Con Queso: So according Micaiah: I'm actually angry now. I'm angry. Roberto Con Queso: so the jersey patches were approved in January. Simeon M Schlicher: Yep. For August first. Roberto Con Queso: So you can and you can have two. Simeon M Schlicher: okay. Roberto Con Queso: But they can't be no more than four square inches on uniforms for regular season games. So if Monster already Monster already gets one on the big twelve uniforms, so if Ohio State's like, okay, now we're gonna go, we'll just say PNC. And P and C says, Hey, we'll do an eighteen million dollar for patches to all the whole team. And it's like, okay, so Ohio State's gonna walk away with thirty six and J and JP Morgan Chase as the big twelve as well for like one of the teams. Now you're only looking at nineteen million. Simeon M Schlicher: I was wrong. They can get their the s the school only patch. I thought it was an exclusive deal. I apologize. I retract that statement. It is not. They can display a sec a second sponsor patch on their uniforms. So you can be less angry now, Micaiah. Micaiah: all right. Well Roberto Con Queso: There's still gonna be almost twenty million dollars behind every team that every team outside of the big twelve that gets a nut Micaiah: Yeah, what right, right. Simeon M Schlicher: Well well I think Roberto Con Queso: a patch. Simeon M Schlicher: I think we're seeing now something I think we're gonna see the Big Ten sp sell a patch. I think what it what it kind of looks like now is the conferences are gonna sell a patch and the teams are gonna get a patch and they're gonna split the patches. And that's there's gonna be the Big Ten brought to you by Bob's Pizza. Roberto Con Queso: Not unless Ohio State can get a second one quick. Unl unless Simeon M Schlicher: I think you I think Micaiah: True. True. Roberto Con Queso: it's already in like a bylaw or something that says they can only get one extra Simeon M Schlicher: I could see it. Roberto Con Queso: one. Like if you're Ohio State, I would say let's go and let's grab another one as quick as we can. Simeon M Schlicher: Before that gets cemented in Roberto Con Queso: And then, you know, now you can go and say, Okay, well we're gonna take you to court because now Ohio State can take the Big Ten to court and whoever they get can also take the Big Ten to court or the Big Ten is just gonna be like, nah. Micaiah: so just real quick, we're all millennials, right? We're we're stuck in between Gen X and Gen Z, right? So we are also in college football stuck in between the old age of college football, which is no money for anybody, and how dare you transfer, and how dare you try to make money for yourself, but we're okay making money off of you, and new age of It's the wild, wild west and we hate it so much. Do we like patches on jerseys? Roberto Con Queso: I don't really know because I don't look at them enough. It like I'm not like there's Simeon M Schlicher: Dude, I don't like Roberto Con Queso: I'm not looking at the players patches because now except for last year, that patch was enormous. The call the Simeon M Schlicher: Roseball patched? Roberto Con Queso: the play the playoff one. That was enormous. Simeon M Schlicher: That one was ridiculous. Micaiah: the first round? Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: That was obnoxious. But if they're small Then it's kinda whatever. Or like throw Simeon M Schlicher: No. Roberto Con Queso: one on the pants. I'm not looking at your legs at all. Simeon M Schlicher: Put one right on the butt. No, it's dumb. I don't understand Micaiah: Actually right on the butt wouldn't be the most terrible thing. What yeah, right? Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: Especially for the linemen. Like, I don't I this is this is the one thing that I hate is the pa is patches. I don't like the conference patches. I want a uniform to be a uniform. Like I like patches in general as a design aesthetic, but I don't like sponsorship patches. I don't like that every soccer jersey has a has a sponsorship on the front of it. And so I you know you're selling the sponsorship. Like, no, I want the team to have a uniform. Get money some other way. Don't put it on the jersey. Micaiah: just some other deals that are out there, Illinois and Buszy Bank, B U S E Y Y. Buszy Bank five Simeon M Schlicher: Pussy. Micaiah: five year thirty million dollar agreement. So that's Roberto Con Queso: Six. Micaiah: what seven million dollars, just like six million dollars a year, right? So that's not bad. Michigan State and Michigan State. Federal credit union, all twenty three of Michigan State Velocity team over the next ten years in the range of forty million dollars. So that's four million dollars. Wisconsin and culverse, they will do one, but that the value of Simeon M Schlicher: Nice. Very nice. Micaiah: that deal hasn't been made public. Arkansas enticed. Simeon M Schlicher: That's a good structure. That's that's a good sponsorship. Roberto Con Queso: The the SEC conference, okay, new game. We are choosing the Simeon M Schlicher: Buckies Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: Big Twelve. We're we're gonna go ahead and say the Big Twelve did not do monster. I wanna know Micaiah: A hundred percent. Okay. Roberto Con Queso: who what company gets a patch for the ACC. Go ahead, give me your answers. Micaiah: A C C. Simeon M Schlicher: that's definitely like Bank of America. Micaiah: Yeah, that's gotta be like Banco or Wells Fargo. Simeon M Schlicher: It's like a mid large tier bank. That's the ACC. Micaiah: Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Maj large that Roberto Con Queso: Okay. Okay. I c I Micaiah: that's good. Roberto Con Queso: I c I can agree with that. Okay, the big twelve. There's only one answer Micaiah: Simian's gonna be better at this game. Roberto Con Queso: for the big twelve. Simeon M Schlicher: Pick twelve. No. Micaiah: Is that Bucky's? Or is Roberto Con Queso: No. Micaiah: that the SEC? Roberto Con Queso: No. I got a better one for the SEC. Continue. Simeon M Schlicher: What's what's the what's the I I don't see it. If there's one answer I don't see. Of course. We already had that discussion. Roberto Con Queso: Dr. Pepper Doctor Pepper. Micaiah: yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, that's the easiest one. pack twelve. Simeon M Schlicher: that's that's Patagonia for sure. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, okay. I could see that. Micaiah: Okay, alright, yeah. I told you Simeon's way better at this game than I would be, than I am. Roberto Con Queso: big ten. Micaiah: Big Ten something Midwest. Simeon M Schlicher: It's like sheets. Micaiah: No, Sheets is too East Coast. Like like a Meyer? Meyer. Simeon M Schlicher: No, but that's it's that type of vibe. And also sheets sheets goes yeah, like a Meyer or or or a Kroger. Kroger. Kroger. Micaiah: Yeah, yeah. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. All right. Micaiah: Mm yeah, yeah. Like a grocery store, yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah. Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: Okay. Go ahead go ahead and give me your SEC ones. Micaiah: I I again I I I think Bucky was perfect. Simeon M Schlicher: Bow Jangles or Waffle House. Roberto Con Queso: Waffle House, baby. That would Micaiah: Ha ha ha. Roberto Con Queso: be downright the winner. could you just imagine? Alabama's running out in the field, big old Waffle House, right in this Simeon M Schlicher: Moving home. Micaiah: There would be so many fights. Like people would just take. Roberto Con Queso: God. So good. Micaiah: that that that was yeah. As soon as you said Waffle Roberto Con Queso: Mm. Micaiah: House, I'm like, yeah, that that's even better. That's even better. Arkansas Roberto Con Queso: yeah. Micaiah: Tyson Foods, $100 million valuation earlier Simeon M Schlicher: That's a good one for Micaiah: this year. The years are not in there. Walmart seems to maybe have missed out. However, they do have a jerk field logo there. LSU and Woodside Energy multi million dollar deal. Cal and dial pad. So I mean what the heck is dial pad? That's gotta be something tech related. Simeon M Schlicher: It's a it's a cold calling app, I'm pretty sure. Micaiah: Okay. BYU and Entrada. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, I was right. Micaiah: What the heck is entrata? Okay, great. Simeon M Schlicher: Don't know. no, it's an AI native contact center and communication platforms built by humans and AI agents collaboration enabling CX transformation at scale. Micaiah: All right, new rule. You're allowed to have patches, but it cannot be AI related. I'm Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah. Micaiah: done with AI, Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: AI stuff. Okay. I'm totally done with AI, everything. That's what all the bowl games are now. It's either insurance, taxes, or AI. Roberto Con Queso: Tell you what they won't be though. The Sasparilla bowl. Simeon M Schlicher: Brought to you by your mother. Micaiah: Man. Roberto Con Queso: Tax layer gator will Micaiah: yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Tax slayer or or the you know the citrus bowl brought to you by your dad's underpants. I don't know. It's it's ridiculous. All right, so anyway, let's drop a question in the comments right now. Here we go. if you could partner with anyone to get a patch. On your shirt individual, what would it be? Let us know in the comments below. Boys, you wanna jump in here? Roberto Con Queso: as we are selling our own souls Micaiah: Yeah, yeah. Roberto Con Queso: we are selling our souls to have a patch. Yeah, that's a good one. Micaiah: That that's a good one. Simeon M Schlicher: Happy Van Winkle. Micaiah: What the heck is happy Van Winkle? Roberto Con Queso: You want the pap? You want the pap on? Simeon M Schlicher: I want the pat. Or like or like Yingling. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, Yangling would be good because it's a very local Micaiah: Yeah. I I'd Roberto Con Queso: Mm. Micaiah: probably mess around with Hershey's. Reese's Reese Reese's Reese's but I'm Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, that would be better. Simeon M Schlicher: Dude, only if I get the mascots rotating at the f at on on my field, you know? Micaiah: I'm doing short deals. I'm talking three to five years, and if I leave money on the table, that's fine. I want high bidding turnover value. Three to five deals. I'm starting with Reese's. Simeon M Schlicher: Since when did Micaiah become a deal maker? He's talking out here like a finance bro. You get him a hat Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. We're just wheeling and dealing with things over here. Micaiah: Yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: and all of a sudden Micaiah: You give me a hat with my dog's face on it and Robert, who you rolling with? Roberto Con Queso: So if we're only going short term for three years, give me the general. Give me dollar general. Micaiah: Father General, okay. All right. You kinda seem like a Simeon M Schlicher: That is that is your energy, isn't it? Roberto Con Queso: That's that's Micaiah: big Walmart guy. Roberto Con Queso: the outside of the stadium would literally look like a dollar gen. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, you walk in and there's only one person Micaiah: that that'd be good. Roberto Con Queso: Yes. Only one person. There's random racks in the shelves. Nothing's put away. Simeon M Schlicher: there on their phone. Yeah. Hot dogs are on the floor. Yep. Yep. Yep. Micaiah: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The hot dogs Roberto Con Queso: The the cool Micaiah: are with the nachos, but none of the nachos are in the basket. They're all over the counter. Roberto Con Queso: All the coolers are slightly broken and the doors are just jammed open just a little bit. But do Micaiah: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Roberto Con Queso: not fear there's a a new one being built right next door. Every year. Simeon M Schlicher: Yep. Micaiah: Yeah, yeah. At the SEC tit at the SEC title game, you walk in, it's everything's dark, it's already two AM and everyone's just fighting. So that's Roberto Con Queso: Yes. And you can smell you can smell the waffles in the background getting just a Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: little too too cooked. Micaiah: Yeah. Yeah. All right. Speaking of the SEC, we are going well Simeon M Schlicher: Go Tigas. Micaiah: go Tigers. We are going to pick basically what we have done. Little preview and then kind of pick who we think will represent the SEC in the title game coming up. big year. Alabama, Calen DeBoore, and Georgia. And Kirby Smart, they were in the title game last year, and Kirby Smart just absolutely routed Calen DeBoer in their second meeting. Georgia has 14 returning starters, which is, I think, amazing in this day and age with the amount of turnover. However, so does Oklahoma. And then Tennessee's got 13. Texas got there's a lot of consistency within the SEC compared to the Big 12 and ACC. Also six new coaches in the SEC. Ryan Silverfield. He would be he went from Simeon M Schlicher: Came from Memphis. Micaiah: Memphis and went to Arkansas. Simeon, where did Alex Golish go? Let's see if you were paying attention to the podcast. Out Simeon M Schlicher: Well, it that's unf that's unfair because I have the list right in front of me. But I will scroll up. So it's Auburn Tigers. That was the one I didn't know. Micaiah: John Summerall. Simeon M Schlicher: He came from Tulane, went to Florida. Micaiah: All right, well Stein. Simeon M Schlicher: Willie Stein, offensive coordinator at Oregon, went to no. Arkansas. Micaiah: So close. Simeon M Schlicher: no, sorry, Kentucky. Micaiah: There you go. Lane Kiffin, we know that, and Pete Gold Simeon M Schlicher: LSU. Micaiah: and Pete Golding. Simeon M Schlicher: he's the defense coordinator at Ole Miss, yeah. I like him. He looks like my favorite youth pastor. Micaiah: Miss that took over. Okay. Robbert. Any w Roberto Con Queso: Yes. Micaiah: any one of the new six coaches making the title game? Simeon M Schlicher: Pete Golding. Roberto Con Queso: I feel like the only one that really is in the best position is probably Ole Miss. Micaiah: Lynn Kiffin's got an expensive roster. Portal King. Roberto Con Queso: I would have to say that's you know, yeah Yeah, but it's LSU and they could barely they're they're not They're just not Lane can't win, okay? He's never been able to win, and he's never going to win. He's Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: the SEC loser. He is he is He is a worst version, Simeon M Schlicher: He can't get over the hump. He's the definition of you can't get over the hump. No, he's good at humping. That's different. Micaiah: man. he can get on the hump though. Roberto Con Queso: a worst version of James Frank. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, he's mu he's a less likable version of James Franklin. Roberto Con Queso: He's the kind he is the James Franklin of the SEC that you really didn't want to be the James Franklin of the SEC. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, you w you wanted to let James Franklin succeed. You want you're rooting for James Franklin. Roberto Con Queso: You don't want Lane to succeed. Simeon M Schlicher: No. No, he's the guy that your mom hates when you bring him home. James Franklin's like, I hope you kinda marry. No. James Franklin is the guy that when you break up with him, your mom said, Man, I really liked him. Roberto Con Queso: I fully anticipate by week ten or week eleven we're gonna see that mugshot of Lane again where he like is like is all like all messed up hair and everything. Simeon M Schlicher: Probably new. Yeah. Yeah. It's gonna come out that he's already slept with like three different freshmen. Roberto Con Queso: All right, that's a little excessive. But Micaiah: that's Simeon M Schlicher: They're legal. Roberto Con Queso: okay, we were towing the line there and now we're over the line. Simeon M Schlicher: You can't you can't at me. You ca it's it's the it's the lane train, baby. Hop Micaiah: It yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: aboard. Micaiah: I I I I don't I don't even I don't even know where to go from that. South Carolina's got a good quarterback edge rusher and wide receiver, right? It it is sh right, is sh Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, no. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, but they can't they can't win either. Micaiah: is Shane Beamer finally gonna break through? Like there there are they're going to nine conference games and there's a big hubbub and blah blah blah about that that I'm not gonna get into. Not every team Roberto Con Queso: Where where? Micaiah: can go ten and two. And you're gonna have to go ten and two to make the playoff because I don't think the committee's gonna let a three loss team unless if it is the three closest loss and you have wins in the top five on your resume. Roberto Con Queso: Alabama's getting in at nine and three. Micaiah: Maybe. After last year's Rose Simeon M Schlicher: Alabama's get Micaiah: Bowl experience, I don't know. That was him at a Roberto Con Queso: They might get in at eight and four. Simeon M Schlicher: Alabama's getting in at six and six where Paul Feinbaum's gonna have a heart attack. Micaiah: I like who Vanderbilt's Vanderbilt's better than what they were historically. AM obviously Elko Texas is Texas, Tennessee's supposed to have a pretty good year. South Carolina's got gamers, old miss. I mean, like, you roll down the SEC schedule. Are we seriously looking at an SEC champion that has three or four losses? I I'm asking Simeon M Schlicher: yeah. Micaiah: a serious question because I think that that's a high, not a high, but a possibility. Simeon M Schlicher: I mean then we almost have one last year. was a three loss team. Like from a vibes perspective. Roberto Con Queso: I I would say it's it's close. This this year is probably the closest that we're gonna come to having a three loss SEC champion than any other year, probably. Simeon M Schlicher: I so here's here's my thing. I'm looking at this. I'm looking at the sixteen teams that make up the the Southeastern Conference. And I'm trying to and I'm and I'm trying to figure out who the losers are. And this is this is the conclusion that I've come to, because it's easier to work up for me. sorry, Mississippi State. Have fun in the basement and you've you've just made your your your bedroom's there, okay? Auburn, no, I don't believe Alex. great time at USF, but not this year. Kentucky, again, same sort of thing. Have fun in the basement. with the first two out of the basement being Vanderbilt and and Arkansas for whatever reason. I'm being nice, just because they have money. so now that leaves me with the list that I'm looking at. Tennessee, Florida, Missouri, and South Carolina. And now we start to have the discussion, minus Florida, because you fired the head coach and hired the n new version of him. now you start to have the question of upsets. Now you have the question of is Beamer ball back or is this actually are they gonna make a difference, or it was that just that those two years that we got a absolutely beautiful South Carolina football? I don't believe in Tennessee. I don't believe in Florida, I believe in Missouri, I believe in Missouri from a dark horse perspective. So Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, till you look at their schedule. Simeon M Schlicher: but that's we but you can say that about every po everybody in the SEC, Robert. Micaiah: But e every yeah, every team schedule. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, but Missouri also has to travel pretty heavily this year. Micaiah: There is one team in the SEC that I think is clearly just better. And it's because their coach has been there forever. And that is the most tenured coach in the SEC. And that is Kirby Smart Georgia entering Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah. Yeah. Micaiah: year eleven. The next is the next is Eli Drinkowicz in year seven. And then a whole bunch of year five head coaches. Shane Beamer's on year six somehow. Josh Heipels got you got year six. Sark, this is his sixth year. So, but you're telling me you get 14 returning starters at Georgia, plus you get an experienced head coach that has been old ways and now has really done a really good job in merging into the new age of college football and Kirby Smart. Simeon M Schlicher: Kai, don't don't forget you have your two returning offensive first team offensive linemen. Micaiah: Correct. And you have Gunnar Stockton, who's serviceable, and Nate Frazier. And eight defensive starters. I think you're I'm locking Georgia into my one of my SEC title game spots. Simeon M Schlicher: If it if if Ohio Roberto Con Queso: Well, I mean Simeon M Schlicher: State quarterbacking has taught you anything, it's a serviceable quarterback can win the national championship. Roberto Con Queso: The hardest game Micaiah: Nice. Roberto Con Queso: on Georgia's schedule Simeon M Schlicher: Thanks. Roberto Con Queso: is going to Alabama. That's it. Everything Micaiah: Yeah. Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: else is like there's not like I mean, you could say at Ole Miss, but like they get Georgia Tech doesn't really matter because they're not SEC. At South Carolina, that's a win. Home against Missouri, that's a win. Home against Florida, win. Home against Auburn, win. Home against Vandy, win. Home against Oklahoma. All all their Micaiah: Did Roberto Con Queso: I don't see them losing at home. Micaiah: do they do they play Texas? They have the long they haven't Roberto Con Queso: No. Micaiah: lost at home by the way, since like well, I think that that Alabama snapped out last year, but they they hadn't lost at home in like five years or something like that, up until last year. Roberto Con Queso: No. No, they get Oklahoma at home, but they don't get Texas. And they don't get Texas A and That's like that's their Micaiah: So Roberto Con Queso: hardest game is literally Alabama. Simeon M Schlicher: Their away games are Arkansas, Alabama, Ole Miss, and South Carolina. And that's out you know that South Carolina's gonna be a night game. Micaiah: So Kirby and Kirby's gonna bitch about something this year, and I'm gonna tell him to shut up because his schedule Robert, I didn't even know his schedule when I picked his team. That cemented. Roberto Con Queso: Hold on. Okay. Pause. Twelve games this year. And they Micaiah: Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: go on the road for four. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, they take K Tennessee Roberto Con Queso: Four. Simeon M Schlicher: Tennessee State Micaiah: Well, okay. Simeon M Schlicher: and Western and Western Kentucky, they get they took it home. Micaiah: I believe that the Florida game is world's largest outdoor cocktail party, which is neutral site. Roberto Con Queso: Where's that played at? Jacksonville? Yeah, home game. Okay. So yeah. They s that's so like Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah. Yeah. It is it is the three thirty at ten thirty one. Yeah. Micaiah: Jacksonville. Yeah, home game. Simeon M Schlicher: my god, that's a that is a bus trip for them. That's not a it's an airplane ride, but still. Micaiah: I I I I understand it's not California. Yeah. Roberto Con Queso: I mean it's a it's a it's it's a bus bus trip for either one of but you're more than likely gonna be a Georgia fan there than you are a Florida fan. It's just Micaiah: Well, just 'cause it's more embarrassing to be a Florida fan. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. But yeah, I it's c crazy to look at it and say, Yeah, we only go on the road four times this year, where it's an actual road game. Micaiah: That is wild. Didn't they have a some Simeon M Schlicher: They're all close. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: didn't they have a stat like that? Well, no, last year they they didn't they like left home in September and didn't have a home game until like the first week of November or something like that. It like completely flip completely flipped. I remember Georgia's schedule was also crazy, but in the reverse last year. They like spent like five or six weeks just on the road. Which which is is wild. So are we all penciling Georgia in for one slot Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah. Micaiah: in SEC Roberto Con Queso: Yes. Micaiah: title game, or Robert, are you just gonna be a stickler about something? Simeon M Schlicher: Contrarian for sake of being contrarian. Roberto Con Queso: No, I'm good. Now I'm just counting everyone's thing. Texas only ha goes on the road four times as well. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, I'm looking at Alabama right now. One, Roberto Con Queso: They have five. Simeon M Schlicher: two, three, four, five. Yeah. The iron bowls at home this year. Micaiah: Who who in this in the FCC can be sneaky. Can be Simeon M Schlicher: Well we're Micaiah: let let me put it this way, who can be ne who can be the surprise? Who can be the Indiana of last year, two years ago, whenever? Right. Simeon M Schlicher: We're for we're forgetting about Texas AM. I don't mean to be that guy, but we're forgetting about Texas A and Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, but they wouldn't be considered like the Indiana like Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, i th if that's the case, it's Missouri, right? When didn't they go ten and three last year? Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: Yeah, something like that. Roberto Con Queso: Well, actually I saw something pretty funny today. They someone said that they need to do a study on Missouri because somehow they always end up playing absolutely nobody and winning the games they need to win just so at the end of the season they finish number twenty three at the end of the year. And I'm like they Micaiah: dude, I saw that too, yeah. Roberto Con Queso: do. I'm like, they always finish in just like that twenty to twenty five range. And I was like, Well, yeah, you're not you're not wrong. Micaiah: They have they have bo do they have Bo Perbula still or was that last year? Simeon M Schlicher: No. That was last year he graduated. Roberto Con Queso: I mean it last year, yeah. Micaiah: Okay. They have do they have Austin Simmons? I I think they might have Austin Simmons. Simeon M Schlicher: They play five road games too. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, they have Austin Simmons. Micaiah: Okay, so they got Austin Simmons and Ahmad Hardy. They're gonna be tough up front because they play in the SEC and they held their own last year, right? They go on the road five times. Mike Elko, a g the the problem that people are having with AM, and I would kind of agree, is last year's schedule was really easy, but then when they had to play someone, Texas, they lost. And then when they had to play someone in the college football playoff, Miami, they lost. So are they going To just be Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, but those war bad games. They lost them. Micaiah: Right. No, I I'm not saying they got blown out, but what I'm saying Simeon M Schlicher: But they were all winnable games. Micaiah: but what I'm saying is give them a tougher schedule this year. Marcel Reed also has got a his something about the way he throws the football bothers me to the point where I think it's gonna cost them the game. And I'm not picking on Mar what I'm saying is mechanically his windups long, it's gonna result in a strip sack, a critical s strip sack that loses them a game that they that they should win. You can at me. This is just what I'm seeing. Do we believe in Sark? Okay, great. You know what? Simeon M Schlicher: Since when do we believe in C Farcesian? Micaiah: We we let's go let Roberto Con Queso: She says, Yen. Micaiah: let's go one by one. So are we are we believing in Simeon M Schlicher: I believe in Obama more than Steve Sarkeesian. Micaiah: Ka Robert doesn't believe in Kaylin Debore? We know that. Simeon, do you? Simeon M Schlicher: And can't I I believe in him as he is a physical being. I don't believe that he's gonna be able to get over the hump this year. Okay, you know a joke was coming, Micaiah. Don't shake your head at me. I am the comic relief. It is the one Micaiah: Okay, Ryan I I I do. Roberto Con Queso: Ha ha ha. Simeon M Schlicher: thing I do with this podcast. Micaiah: Brian Sil Ryan Silverfield, that's a no. Alex Goolish, that's a no. John Summer Simeon M Schlicher: I believe in Ryan Silverfield. I don't believe that he's gonna do anything this year, but I actually believe in him as a good that was a good hire for Arkansas. You have a team that has Micaiah: We'll start. Simeon M Schlicher: money and you have a finally have a good coach that can do something. No. Micaiah: Will Stein, no. Lane Kiffin? I think we covered that. Simeon M Schlicher: I think we covered that pretty well. Micaiah: Jeff Levy at Mississippi State, Semin's already wrote and put them all the way in the basement. Eli Drinkowitz, Missouri. Simeon M Schlicher: Good night. One in ten. I'm sorry, one in eleven. I believe in Eli. Micaiah: So Simeon, are you going Georgia, Missouri? Simeon M Schlicher: No. Micaiah: Brent Venables, we're running out of coaches, guys. Simeon M Schlicher: Here's the issue. Yes. Like here's the issue. The SEC has really good third place teams this year. It's not a qu it's it's two it's it's Georgia and who. It's Georgia and to me, Texas, Texas A and call it Missouri, call it Oklahoma. Micaiah: All right, put your money Simeon M Schlicher: That's your Micaiah: put your money where your mouth is. Who who who's facing Georgia in the SEC title game? Send me in. Simeon M Schlicher: Don't want it to Texas. That would be so boring. That would be so boring. Give me Oklahoma. Gimme Johnny's gonna stay. It's not I know that's not what he goes with, but I call him that. Gimme Johnny's gonna stay healthy. And Brent Venable would clearly does a better job when he coaches the defense. Micaiah: He's amazing. He's the best defensive play caller in in college football. Robert Roberto Con Queso: gonna be Alabama. I don't know why we're kidding ourselves. It's gonna be Alabama. Simeon M Schlicher: It's gonna That's it's that's what the annoying part is, Robert. It is gonna be Alabama. At like s at like four and Roberto Con Queso: I know, I know. And Geor Simeon M Schlicher: s four and ten. Roberto Con Queso: and he and what's going to happen? Alabama is going to win the regular season matchup. And then it's well you know it's hard to beat a team twice and Simeon M Schlicher: That's not what Micaiah sounds like. Micaiah: Okay, alright Alright Roberto Con Queso: I I didn't s I didn't say anything. Simeon M Schlicher: Look at you said that like five times last year. Micaiah: It's true though And every time it was true Roberto Con Queso: And And we're either gonna get Bama, Georgia in the SEC Championship and Alabama and if Alabama wins it, they're gonna be like, Hey, Kayla Bornets over the home, and then they lose in like the second round of the playoffs because they're just not good on the road at all, like Alabama hasn't been for the past two or three years. Or Georgia's gonna go mop the field with them. And then we're gonna be stuck with, okay, well, Alabama's a three loss SEC school. Where do we put them? And they're gonna get placed somewhere ridiculously high, probably on the other side of the bracket, because they don't want Georgia and Bama to play right off like rip. Micaiah: Texas fight, Texas fight, and it's goodbye to AM. That I think is who will join Georgia in the SEC title game. I'd it's Arch year two. He played the last four to six weeks, he was playing good ball. I'm going to assume that Sark's gonna have him rocking and rolling. We're gonna get a really we're gonna find out real soon in week two, right? Like, When Columbus comes calling, comes to town. that game's at home. The defense is gonna be nasty and have run stoppers. I just believe in Sark's play calling. He he's a he he's better. I think he gets too much credit from some people, not enough from other people. I really like Sark's play calling. Not enough to use his playbook in college football twenty-seven, but enough to like him in real life. So give me Georgia and the longhorns to duke it out. however, Georgia just runs that rivalry. So give me Georgia to Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Micaiah: to to beat So we are pretty Simeon, you're the outlier picking Oklahoma, which if Brent stays hot with his play calling as he finished the end of last year. Simeon M Schlicher: the w the issue was Johnny Matthears was John Matthews Yeah. Sorry. I like calling him Johnny Micaiah: Johnny Mateer, I love that. I no, I I I do love that. Simeon M Schlicher: Matthew because I I made the mistake, but it just rolls off the tongue better. Micaiah: All right. All right. We're gonna close out and we're gonna do just some superlatives. We're not gonna do them all. We are five weeks away. So here's what we're gonna do. Robert, Roberto Con Queso: Yes. Micaiah: best head coach in college football. Roberto Con Queso: The best head coach in college football current coaches. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, how do you define that? Like most improved or just like the Kirk like Micaiah: for the s for the twenty twenty six season we will look back and s Simeon M Schlicher: the Kirk Signetti of the of the year? Roberto Con Queso: sh' going to say Probably Kurt Signetti. Micaiah: That's who I would pick. Simeon, do you have someone an opinion that's wrong? Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah. give me what's his face at USF? I'm forgetting Brian Roberto Con Queso: Heartline. Simeon M Schlicher: Hartline. Micaiah: Heart line my gosh. Simeon M Schlicher: I I I listen, Robert's gonna give you the right answer and I'm gonna give you the extended long shot. Can we can we make that can we make that deal? Okay. Micaiah: Sure, sure. Simeon M Schlicher: Cause then cause then at the end we look back and I hit one and we're like, how in the F did you make did you call Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: that? Micaiah: All right. This is everyone's favorite award on the podcast, the Jimbo Fisher Award for most likely to get Simeon M Schlicher: Ha ha. Micaiah: fired by week six. Simeon M Schlicher: Bi Bill Balichek. Roberto Con Queso: Let's go Luke Fickle. Micaiah: That n that's Simeon M Schlicher: That's a great pick. Micaiah: that's that's a great one. Luke Fickle. Roberto Con Queso: He's the he's the new Jimbo where it's every year, you get fired after week six for four straight years. And then it finally happens, we're like, we called it Micaiah: I'm gonna I'm gonna go Mike Norvell, Florida State. Simeon M Schlicher: Good that's Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: also another good one. Micaiah: Okay. Roberto Con Queso: Norvell probably gets the axe before Fickle does, prob more than likely. I would assume. Just because I feel like the they're Yeah. Micaiah: Yeah, we I I don't know buy yeah, I don't know buyouts, but yeah, I I would assume. Simeon M Schlicher: I Micaiah: yeah, go ahead. Simeon M Schlicher: I just want to give a fun fact here. Micaiah: Yeah, okay. Roberto Con Queso: Let me hear. Simeon M Schlicher: my we always played this game because one year UTSA it took six weeks to leave the state of Texas. I think that was three years ago. Micaiah: Yeah. Uh-huh. Simeon M Schlicher: I believe it is Michigan this year, and I haven't quite confirmed it, but their first four games are at home. Micaiah: Yeah, that's not surprising. Simeon M Schlicher: Now, even if their first one wasn't at home, it's against Western Michigan, which was supposed to be in Germany, but got brought back over here for reasons. Micaiah: Thank the Lord. Simeon M Schlicher: So just a fun fact there for you, Michigan most likely is gonna be if it's a superlative, is gonna be the team to leave their state the last. Micaiah: I don't I don't know. I I would still take one of the Texas schools, like the small Texas schools. Simeon M Schlicher: I I'm trying I'm trying to confirm here. Micaiah: All right. this is Robert's favorite super relative, most overhyped player. Roberto Con Queso: I feel like the the easy answer is probably gonna be Arch. Just because again, he's going to have as much everything behind him. The second one I feel like would be Trinidad Chambliss. But I still am always gonna put money on Ryan Williams. Micaiah: Okay. Yeah, right. Yeah. Yeah. So I'll put Trinidad slash Ryan Williams. Simeon, you? Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah, give me arch. I'm just gonna take the easy hand. Roberto Con Queso: That's I you know, he's the only one he's the only one that hasn't Simeon M Schlicher: It's hard, right? His expectation is Heismind. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: Unless he wins the Heisman, he technically is a failure, which is wild. Roberto Con Queso: Like especially after the Micaiah: I'm Roberto Con Queso: way last year panned out. Simeon M Schlicher: Yeah. Micaiah: I'm gonna take someone from the state of Michigan from my own team and I'm and I said this last year and I'm gonna take it again Simeon M Schlicher: No, Bryce Underwood is a great answer. Micaiah: and I'm gonna say Bryce Underwood. Dude needs to learn how to throw a curveball and it we like he needs some touch on the ball, a change Simeon M Schlicher: Change up. Micaiah: up, something. Not everything can be a hundred miles an hour. And I just love the way that Roberto Con Queso: No no change up, no curveball, straight gas. Micaiah: the Tommy car looked in the spring game. So We'll see if if it was Underwood or if it was actually coaching come this fall. 'Cause if it was coaching, Underwood's gonna be ridiculously good and the team's gonna be great. If it was Underwood, Tommy Carr is gonna be starting by November. Simeon M Schlicher: Wait, who's at Notre Dame? Micaiah: That's Roberto Con Queso: CJ. Micaiah: CJ, his brother. Yeah. Simeon M Schlicher: Wait, this is his brother. I didn't realize okay. Roberto Con Queso: CJ Carr is my Heisman finalist. Micaiah: Okay, great. Simeon M Schlicher: Hey. Great pick, Robert. I like that pick. Roberto Con Queso: Yeah. Hey, hey, you gotta tell me, brother, I know this. Simeon M Schlicher: Give me whoever is the whoever Roberto Con Queso: Whoever the wide receiver is Micaiah: Give me Arch Manning. Micaiah: I'm gonna take Dante Moore out in Oregon. Simeon M Schlicher: Great pick. Also Roberto Con Queso: Yeah, that's a good one. Simeon M Schlicher: another guy for the going this way with expectations. Micaiah: Was that down? Okay. Roberto Con Queso: Who's going down? Simeon M Schlicher: Like he might like Dante Moore. I was trying to think of his name, but I thought he graduated 'cause Welcome to My Head. Roberto Con Queso: okay.
