  A few months ago, I had the honor of returning to Brazil on

  an ecclesiastical assignment. This journey was marked by

  uplifting encounters with Church leaders and members who over the

  years have played an essential role in my spiritual growth

  within the Church. During this visit, I was blessed
• 0:20
  to reunite with Patriarchs Stanislaus de Abreu Lima, now
• 0:25
  advanced in age, the very man who bestowed upon me my
• 0:30
  patriarchal blessing 46 years ago, a moment that remains alive
• 0:34
  and precious in my memory. At that reunion, we were filled
• 0:39
  with profound feelings of gratitude, reverence and
• 0:42
  emotion. As we relieved together that
• 0:45
  significant day on which I received the blessing.

  We had the privilege of reading once more some passages from my
• 0:53
  blessing, reflecting on the meaning of each word, and
• 0:57
  recognizing the manifestation of God's love to the guidance and
• 1:02
  promises recorded therein. The Lord's guidance regarding
• 1:06
  raising my family unto Him and serving devotedly in His
• 1:10
  Kingdom, revealed through my patriarchal blessing, has been
• 1:14
  one of the greatest blessings of my life.

  It has helped me strive to remain on the covenant path.

  In recalling that sacred moment, I recognized a new how the words
• 1:28
  of that blessing continue to inspire me, strengthening my
• 1:32
  faith in Jesus Christ and deepening my determination to
• 1:36
  serve Him despite my weaknesses and shortcomings.

  That meeting was not merely nostalgic, but also a
• 1:44
  confirmation of the truthness of the divine promises given by the
• 1:49
  Lord through the inspired patriarchal blessing I received.

  I feel deeply grateful for the inspiration Patriarch Stanislaus
• 1:58
  received as he bestowed my patriarchal blessing, and for

  knowing with certainty that the Lord knows each one of us and
• 2:08
  blesses us when we are willing to follow His will.

  Such knowledge is a daily comfort to me as I strive to

  remain faithful and devoted to his service.
