- 2:37Speaker 2: newest Real Housewife of New York, Erin Leachy, welcome, girl.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 2:42Speaker 3: I'm so happy to be here.
- 2:43Speaker 2: You look cute, but you said you're hungover.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I'm dying. I was with you last night. I didn't
- 2:48Speaker 3: drink that much, but I don't know what happened.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Well, we figured it out.
- 2:50Speaker 3: We figured it out. I mixed.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I am shocked that you were hungover until you told
- 2:54Speaker 2: me because- I know. So last night after, so Jeff
- 2:59Speaker 2: and I did, Jeff Lewis and I did Watch Her
- 3:01Speaker 2: Homes Live, but we did it in the afternoon, and
- 3:04Speaker 2: then it aired that night, but then we met for
- 3:06Speaker 2: dinner at the Polo Bar. Mm-hmm.
- 3:08Speaker 3: It was so good. Delicious.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Very delicious.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Truffle burger. How good was that?
- 3:12Speaker 2: I'm so glad you got that burger.
- 3:14Speaker 3: It was really good.
- 3:14Speaker 2: And then, so you had, but the problem was. I know.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Such a noob.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Listen, you are young. I'm 36.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I should know how to drink. I'm just an idiot.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I feel like there's certain lessons you keep learning about yourself.
- 3:29Speaker 2: So this was a big mistake. You had two glasses
- 3:32Speaker 2: of white wine at the Ritz. Yes. What kind of wine?
- 3:36Speaker 3: Chardonnay? Sancerre.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Which was, like, I should have just had one.
- 3:40Speaker 2: So you had two there.
- 3:41Speaker 3: I had two.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Then you came and you had a martini with us.
- 3:44Speaker 3: And then I had a martini with you guys.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Then you did red.
- 3:47Speaker 3: I just, like, everyone was getting wine. I'm like, okay,
- 3:50Speaker 3: I'll have wine. Stupid.
- 3:52Speaker 5: So?
- 3:53Speaker 3: I went, I flip-flopped. I need to, like, stick with one.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Well, you didn't seem, like, drunk or anything at all.
- 3:59Speaker 3: No. So that's good. And I felt, like, normal.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:01Speaker 3: But then I woke up this morning and I saw
- 4:03Speaker 3: that I was on the phone with my mom for
- 4:04Speaker 3: a half hour at 1130.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:06Speaker 3: And I was on the phone with my husband after
- 4:08Speaker 3: that for like 45 minutes.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Oh, he's out of town?
- 4:10Speaker 3: He's in the Hamptons.
- 4:12Speaker 2: And then you're going to the Hamptons after this?
- 4:13Speaker 3: I'm going after this. I can't wait.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Okay, great.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Love it there in the summer.
- 4:16Speaker 2: So you're on The Real Housewives of New York. This
- 4:20Speaker 2: is the new group. And I just want to get
- 4:24Speaker 2: a little background first about what is your history of
- 4:27Speaker 2: being a Housewives viewer, fan? How old were you? Where
- 4:32Speaker 2: were you when you first heard about it?
- 4:34Speaker 3: It's a good question. I don't... I feel like the
- 4:36Speaker 3: show started in New York, what, 10? Maybe more? 10, 15?
- 4:41Speaker 2: Oh, more than that. About 15 years ago.
- 4:42Speaker 3: 15 years ago?
- 4:43Speaker 2: Yeah. Wow.
- 4:44Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I want to say it probably started like 2009 maybe.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Wow.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 4:50Speaker 3: So I was post-college. And I did watch the original Roni. Absolutely.
- 4:56Speaker 3: I thought it was great. I thought they were really funny.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Yes. Where did you go to college?
- 5:00Speaker 3: I went to Albany. Great.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Because you're from the East Coast.
- 5:03Speaker 3: You're an original. I'm from Manhattan.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Did you go to some fancy Manhattan school?
- 5:08Speaker 3: I did till eighth grade. And then I told my
- 5:10Speaker 3: parents I want to go to... I wanted to go
- 5:12Speaker 3: to this liberal arts public school, this portfolio school. And
- 5:18Speaker 3: I begged them. I was like, I cannot be in
- 5:20Speaker 3: this bubble anymore.
- 5:20Speaker 2: What was the school that you were at before?
- 5:22Speaker 3: You don't want to say?
- 5:25Speaker 2: No.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Oh.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Just because my kids go there now.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Oh, okay. That's good. That's good. Well, I always... Okay. Well,
- 5:30Speaker 2: here's some juicy scoop history for you. So... there was
- 5:34Speaker 2: a reunion with Ramona and Alex McCord. And they bring
- 5:40Speaker 2: up the fact that.
- 5:42Speaker 3: She was a riot.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Alex McCord and Simon. So Alex was going to like,
- 5:47Speaker 2: all of a sudden there's like, I just see clips now.
- 5:49Speaker 2: That's why I love TikTok and stuff is because there's
- 5:52Speaker 2: this whole new generation of housewife fans that are younger,
- 5:56Speaker 2: that are discovering it. And really? Yes. And that's why
- 5:59Speaker 2: I was saying like, it makes me almost jealous when
- 6:01Speaker 2: someone is starting from scratch. Like, Because it's just so
- 6:04Speaker 2: raw and funny.
- 6:05Speaker 3: I should rewatch it, actually.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Well, when I was getting ready here, Bravo was playing
- 6:10Speaker 2: Real Housewives of OC Marathon because they're on tonight. Oh, wow.
- 6:13Speaker 2: And I just like, oh, I just love it.
- 6:17Speaker 3: It's like comforting to me. Yeah, yeah.
- 6:19Speaker 2: And it was about, wait, I'm switching to two things. First,
- 6:22Speaker 2: let's tell you about what Real Housewives of OC was about.
- 6:25Speaker 2: It was when Vicky was going through the divorce and
- 6:30Speaker 2: just starting to date Brooks, but we haven't met him yet.
- 6:32Speaker 3: God, that was awful.
- 6:34Speaker 2: And Brianna was having some medical issues. And Vicki was like,
- 6:43Speaker 2: I'm having a nervous breakdown. This is crazy. I can't
- 6:45Speaker 2: believe I'm going through this with my daughter. And I
- 6:49Speaker 2: just thought, oh, my God. Okay, this is just me,
- 6:52Speaker 2: just my opinion. What if Vicki was the one that
- 6:57Speaker 2: was actually the instigator of Brooke's fake cancer?
- 7:02Speaker 4: What?
- 7:03Speaker 2: I'm just asking.
- 7:04Speaker 3: But what do you mean? Because she wanted like the heat.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Off of- Because I'm watching how much attention she brought
- 7:10Speaker 2: to herself when Brianna was sick and almost had cancer.
- 7:15Speaker 2: She's like, we don't know what's going on with Brianna.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I mean, if she has cancer, I'll just lose it.
- 7:19Speaker 3: I mean, I wouldn't put it past her. That's wild.
- 7:23Speaker 3: That's an interesting theory, honestly.
- 7:25Speaker 2: It also could be because I'm listening to too many
- 7:27Speaker 2: podcasts about people with fake cancer. Really? Are you? Cancer
- 7:31Speaker 2: and Munchausens. Really?
- 7:32Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I came across it.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Interesting.
- 7:35Speaker 2: And how much attention mothers get when their child is sick. Oh, creepy.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Getting back to Ramona.
- 7:41Speaker 3: So Ramona.
- 7:44Speaker 2: So Alex McCord decides she's going to be a model.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Remember how she'd be like?
- 7:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't. I can't. I cannot with her. And
- 7:50Speaker 3: Kelly Bessemer is.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Like, give me your Johan face. Give me your Johan face.
- 7:56Speaker 3: That was amazing.
- 7:57Speaker 2: So then I guess at some point between filming and
- 8:00Speaker 2: the reunion, Alex McCord did like some nudity or something
- 8:05Speaker 2: in a magazine.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Oh, I didn't know that.
- 8:08Speaker 2: And they bring it up. And all of a sudden
- 8:11Speaker 2: in the middle of the reunion, Ramona gets up and
- 8:13Speaker 2: walks off.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Oh, I vaguely remember that.
- 8:16Speaker 2: And she's like, I don't want to talk about it.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Now we know, because I've asked Ramona and found out
- 8:22Speaker 2: about it, that the school that Avery was at, which
- 8:26Speaker 2: is an elementary Catholic, and I went to Catholic school,
- 8:29Speaker 2: they had a real issue with the show in general,
- 8:34Speaker 2: that she was on the show and stuff. And so
- 8:36Speaker 2: she was almost going to get kicked out maybe. Wow.
- 8:40Speaker 2: And so she did not want to be associated with
- 8:43Speaker 2: a cast member doing nude photos. Wow. Cut to Ramona
- 8:48Speaker 2: in like the last two seasons.
- 8:50Speaker 3: She's taking off her top and they're doing pasties.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Yeah, good point.
- 8:53Speaker 3: She's out of school. That's why. Her daughter's out of school.
- 8:57Speaker 3: She's big now. She doesn't have to worry about that.
- 8:59Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 9:00Speaker 2: So, okay, so you kind of watched it and everything.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought it was great.
- 9:04Speaker 2: When did you hear that they might be looking or
- 9:07Speaker 2: how were you approached?
- 9:08Speaker 3: I had no idea. I literally did not know that
- 9:11Speaker 3: there was a reboot. And my girlfriend called me Lizzie.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I was friends with Lizzie. I am friends with Lizzie.
- 9:17Speaker 2: So Lizzie is the cast member that unfortunately left.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Yes.
- 9:22Speaker 2: And we really don't know. We kind of heard rumors.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I don't want to put you in a weird position
- 9:26Speaker 2: on what happened.
- 9:28Speaker 3: I follow her now. She would have been great.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And yeah, I think she's really a great person to follow.
- 9:35Speaker 3: She would have been great TV.
- 9:36Speaker 2: And so you filmed a little bit with her, but
- 9:39Speaker 2: then they did a mutual goodbye. So she told you
- 9:43Speaker 2: they're looking and had she already been cast?
- 9:45Speaker 3: So she was in Dallas and she was like, I'm
- 9:48Speaker 3: actually moving back to New York. I need help with
- 9:50Speaker 3: the place. And I'm a real estate agent. So she
- 9:52Speaker 3: called me and I was like, oh, really? You are? like,
- 9:56Speaker 3: and she, and I knew that her husband at some
- 9:58Speaker 3: point would want to start his own, you know, cause
- 10:00Speaker 3: he's a plastic surgeon and he was like opening a
- 10:03Speaker 3: shop here or whatever. And I was like, yeah, sure.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Why not?
- 10:07Speaker 3: And she was like, oh, and by the way, I
- 10:08Speaker 3: might be doing housewives. I'm like, what do you mean?
- 10:11Speaker 3: You might be like, you're going to join the cast.
- 10:13Speaker 3: And she's like, no, they're doing a whole new show
- 10:15Speaker 3: and they're interviewing like different groups. And she was like, actually,
- 10:19Speaker 3: you'd be great. I was like, oh, okay. So then
- 10:23Speaker 3: we had like- So growing up, I just have to ask.
- 10:24Speaker 2: You, when you would watch it, because I was obsessed
- 10:29Speaker 2: from the moment I saw an ad for Real Housewives
- 10:31Speaker 2: of OC and they're holding the oranges. Yeah. And I thought,
- 10:34Speaker 2: oh my God, that's so clever because it's.
- 10:36Speaker 3: A- Desperate Housewives. Yes. Very clever.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Very clever. And I was like, oh my God, at
- 10:41Speaker 2: the time- People.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Say to me, they're like, are you on Desperate Housewives?
- 10:45Speaker 3: I'm like, no. You should know this by now. People
- 10:48Speaker 3: that don't totally know.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Yeah. So, you know, and I would sometimes imagine what
- 10:53Speaker 2: my life would be like if I was ever on it.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Did you ever think that you'd want to be on
- 10:59Speaker 2: it or if I was ever on it? Probably.
- 11:01Speaker 3: I mean, I'm assuming that at some point I would
- 11:05Speaker 3: think like I would behave this way.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Right.
- 11:08Speaker 3: In this situation. You know what I mean? Because I
- 11:10Speaker 3: think that's the beauty of the show. You kind of
- 11:12Speaker 3: relate to people, different people at different times.
- 11:15Speaker 2: On it.
- 11:15Speaker 3: I mean, obviously you have like your person or like people,
- 11:18Speaker 3: but I've definitely, I remember like thinking to myself like, oh,
- 11:22Speaker 3: I would have done this or I agree with this person.
- 11:25Speaker 3: So like, yeah, you kind of put yourself in that
- 11:28Speaker 3: position mentally sometimes when you watch the show. It's just
- 11:32Speaker 3: like natural.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Right. So she tells you- But I didn't.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Think I'd be on the show.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Was she going out for it at this time or
- 11:38Speaker 2: she was like, I'm doing it and I want to
- 11:39Speaker 2: introduce you to the people?
- 11:40Speaker 3: I think it was like, It wasn't as firm, but
- 11:44Speaker 3: she's like, oh, you'd be great. Like you should meet
- 11:46Speaker 3: with them. So I was like, okay.
- 11:49Speaker 2: And so, so you met with them and was there
- 11:51Speaker 2: any conversation with your husband or family? Okay.
- 11:55Speaker 3: What was totally, it was like, do it. He's like,
- 11:58Speaker 3: this is an amazing opportunity. Why wouldn't you do this? Like,
- 12:00Speaker 3: this is so fun.
- 12:01Speaker 2: And when you were like, okay, but if I do this,
- 12:05Speaker 2: did you ever have a moment where you're like, these
- 12:07Speaker 2: are all the cool things that could come from doing it.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Just fun. acting, going on trips, how it could build
- 12:15Speaker 2: your business as a realtor or any other business you
- 12:17Speaker 2: want to get into. Did you think of any negative
- 12:20Speaker 2: impact that it might have in making your decision?
- 12:25Speaker 3: I mean, yes, but no, because I feel like I'm
- 12:28Speaker 3: at a place like if this had come my way
- 12:30Speaker 3: five years ago, I'd say no. I just wasn't right. Like,
- 12:33Speaker 3: I don't feel like I would have been ready. But
- 12:35Speaker 3: I think I'm in a place where I'm comfortable in
- 12:38Speaker 3: my own skin. Like I have a great sort of foundation.
- 12:42Speaker 3: I have my friends from growing up that are my people,
- 12:45Speaker 3: you know what I mean? I have my family, like
- 12:47Speaker 3: my husband and I are in a good place. So
- 12:49Speaker 3: I just felt like the right time. So I didn't
- 12:51Speaker 3: really think about the negative. I just kind of like
- 12:53Speaker 3: went into it and I wasn't, I don't know, I
- 12:55Speaker 3: wasn't as concerned as I probably should have been. Now,
- 12:57Speaker 3: looking back, I'm like, should have thought about the comments. Well,
- 13:02Speaker 3: now your kids are three and- Three, six, and eight.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Oh, you have three?
- 13:06Speaker 3: I have three kids. I thought last night, No, two
- 13:10Speaker 3: kids are home with me. My son's at sleep. Maybe
- 13:12Speaker 3: that's why.
- 13:12Speaker 2: No, no, no. I don't know. I thought maybe I
- 13:14Speaker 2: misheard you. But because I've watched all the episodes, but
- 13:18Speaker 2: one thing that I do feel that it is a
- 13:21Speaker 2: little like I was saying this last night, I think
- 13:24Speaker 2: because they lost a cast member and they had to
- 13:27Speaker 2: kind of like maybe re-edit, I do feel like I'm
- 13:30Speaker 2: a little bit like, wait, like, does Cy have kids? Like,
- 13:32Speaker 2: I'm trying to remember. Like, I forgot that Jess, how
- 13:36Speaker 2: do you say her name?
- 13:37Speaker 3: Jessel.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Jessel. I forgot Jessel had twins and I still am like,
- 13:41Speaker 2: are they boys or girls? Like, I don't, like, it's
- 13:43Speaker 2: going to take a.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Minute for me to like get to know everybody.
- 13:46Speaker 2: So I didn't realize you had three. That's a lot.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Three kids, yeah. Yeah.
- 13:50Speaker 2: I had three too.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:51Speaker 2: I mean, they're older now, but three is a lot.
- 13:52Speaker 2: It's a lot. Yeah.
- 13:53Speaker 3: It's great.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:54Speaker 3: But it's a lot.
- 13:56Speaker 2: So when you say I had these friends, like you
- 13:59Speaker 2: have like high school, college friends. Yeah. What was their girlfriend,
- 14:03Speaker 2: like girlfriend thoughts? What, I'm sure many of them are fans.
- 14:06Speaker 3: They were all like, what?
- 14:07Speaker 2: What?
- 14:08Speaker 3: Like, I think everybody's response was, I'm dead. That was
- 14:12Speaker 3: everyone's response. I think they just couldn't believe, like, it's like,
- 14:16Speaker 3: what do you mean you're going to be on Housewives? Like,
- 14:18Speaker 3: it's just so crazy. But everyone was really supportive, you know?
- 14:22Speaker 2: And when you've been filming, have you had any parties
- 14:26Speaker 2: where you have to invite the normal friends?
- 14:27Speaker 3: My anniversary party. Like, all my, literally, we had like
- 14:30Speaker 3: 300 people there.
- 14:31Speaker 2: And we haven't seen that yet.
- 14:32Speaker 4: No.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Okay. That's also an interesting thing you'll see through the years. Because,
- 14:39Speaker 2: I mean, hopefully it'll be on a long time and everything.
- 14:42Speaker 2: It's like in the beginning, because I became friends with
- 14:46Speaker 2: a lot of housewives because I'd meet them. I was
- 14:47Speaker 2: fans of them. At the time, I was on Chelsea Lately,
- 14:50Speaker 2: so they were kind of.
- 14:51Speaker 3: A fair line.
- 14:51Speaker 2: I remember that. And then, you know, I've had the
- 14:55Speaker 2: show for so long, so I'd start interviewing them and whatnot. Before,
- 14:58Speaker 2: every housewife had a podcast. Right. I was one of
- 15:00Speaker 2: the few people that would interview them. So anyway, I...
- 15:04Speaker 2: They would be like, I would be invited to the stuff.
- 15:07Speaker 2: And I was always like really excited, you know, to go. Yeah.
- 15:10Speaker 2: And then I kind of was like, okay.
- 15:13Speaker 3: It's a lot.
- 15:13Speaker 2: And I was friends with Kardashians too. So I was like,
- 15:16Speaker 2: now it's a little embarrassing. Now I'm a little bit,
- 15:18Speaker 2: where's Waldo? Like you'll be like just seeing me as
- 15:20Speaker 2: like an extra in the background.
- 15:22Speaker 3: That's cute.
- 15:24Speaker 2: And then I would ask some of the girls, like
- 15:26Speaker 2: Tamara or whatever, and I'm like, is it hard to
- 15:29Speaker 2: get people after they've done it a few times, like
- 15:33Speaker 2: to go and Because when you have these big parties,
- 15:37Speaker 2: you can't be the regular hostess.
- 15:39Speaker 3: That's what was hard.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Exactly. Like you literally hit the nail on the head.
- 15:44Speaker 3: That was really hard for me because I couldn't talk
- 15:46Speaker 3: to like my people. I was like so busy, you know,
- 15:49Speaker 3: filming and also talking to the girls. And then also
- 15:51Speaker 3: just like we said our vows. Like there were so
- 15:53Speaker 3: many things going on that I couldn't. I mean, it
- 15:56Speaker 3: was also just I feel like I would have had
- 15:59Speaker 3: a longer party. Like I think it was too short.
- 16:02Speaker 3: I should have started at like, I don't know, six.
- 16:04Speaker 3: And so you did a vow renewal? We never said vows, ever.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Oh, you mean on your actual wedding?
- 16:11Speaker 3: Yeah, my actual wedding.
- 16:12Speaker 2: What was that about?
- 16:13Speaker 3: We just didn't.
- 16:13Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 16:14Speaker 3: We were so young. It was a 500-person wedding.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 16:18Speaker 3: At Cipriani Wall Street. Yum.
- 16:21Speaker 2: I still have yet to go to Cipriani.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Can you get me in? Yeah, of course.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Okay, good.
- 16:26Speaker 3: We are both one, we both come from really big families. Oh, really? Yeah,
- 16:31Speaker 3: so our parents.
- 16:31Speaker 2: What number are you?
- 16:32Speaker 3: I'm the oldest. Oh, of how many?
- 16:34Speaker 2: One of five. Oh, I'm the youngest of five.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Really?
- 16:36Speaker 2: Yes.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:38Speaker 3: I liked five.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Good.
- 16:40Speaker 3: And Abe is six.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Did your parents plan all you out? No.
- 16:45Speaker 3: So my dad got remarried after and then had four kids,
- 16:48Speaker 3: but my dad raised them.
- 16:50Speaker 2: You're the only product from your mom and dad.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Yes.
- 16:53Speaker 3: I'm her product.
- 16:54Speaker 2: And then so then your parents got divorced.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:57Speaker 2: How old are you?
- 16:59Speaker 3: Like three. I was young. Four, maybe.
- 17:01Speaker 2: And- And was the divorce friendly, like co-parenting wise growing up?
- 17:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:08Speaker 2: And how shortly after did.
- 17:10Speaker 3: My dad always wanted a lot of kids. So he
- 17:12Speaker 3: met like my, you know, whatever. I don't even want
- 17:16Speaker 3: to call her that.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Oh, he's no longer with wife number two.
- 17:18Speaker 3: No, he raised my siblings.
- 17:20Speaker 2: So he married wife number two, had four kids. Yeah.
- 17:23Speaker 2: And then they divorced.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:25Speaker 3: And she.
- 17:25Speaker 2: And he got custody.
- 17:26Speaker 3: She's no longer with us. You know, she's with us.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 17:28Speaker 3: She's somewhere else.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Not involved.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Not involved at all.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Oh, that's very unusual.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:34Speaker 3: And my dad is like superstar dad. Really good dad. Yeah.
- 17:39Speaker 2: And did your mom ever like participate in stuff with
- 17:44Speaker 2: those other kids? Because sometimes that happens.
- 17:46Speaker 3: I wish she would have more, but sort of. I mean,
- 17:49Speaker 3: she was very close with one of my brothers and
- 17:51Speaker 3: actually worked with him. Like she hired him and he
- 17:54Speaker 3: worked for her for like a couple of years.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:56Speaker 3: In real estate.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Oh.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:57Speaker 3: He got his license with her. Okay.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Because both your mom and dad.
- 18:01Speaker 3: So my dad moved here and was a business owner.
- 18:04Speaker 3: He owned stores, like electronic stores. Is that not the
- 18:07Speaker 3: most Israeli thing? Like the Zohan. Literally, my dad is
- 18:10Speaker 3: the Zohan. So he was a business owner and then
- 18:13Speaker 3: he got into real estate. But he always was like
- 18:15Speaker 3: buying properties. Like he owns a bunch in Israel that
- 18:17Speaker 3: he manages. In New York, he owns a couple. And
- 18:20Speaker 3: he's now partner at an investment firm. Development.
- 18:25Speaker 2: And your mom, what was her stake in real estate?
- 18:28Speaker 2: What did she.
- 18:29Speaker 3: So my mom... My mom, I think, got her license
- 18:33Speaker 3: at like 30-something and just has always been an agent.
- 18:37Speaker 3: But she builds. I mean, she built two houses out east.
- 18:40Speaker 3: She was like in the paper because she was the
- 18:42Speaker 3: first solar house in Southampton. She built her house on solar,
- 18:45Speaker 3: which is why I'm so into sustainability. Oh, yeah.
- 18:48Speaker 2: You got our solar panels too.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Yeah. It's great. Yeah. So... So, like, I've always been
- 18:54Speaker 3: around it. Like, I've always been around construction. Like, I
- 18:56Speaker 3: would live in a construction site, you know? Like, they
- 18:59Speaker 3: both love it. Did you ever follow Barbara? I love– wait,
- 19:02Speaker 3: which Barbara?
- 19:03Speaker 2: Barbara from Real Housewives of New York. She's only on, like,
- 19:05Speaker 2: one season. Oh, yeah, I met her.
- 19:06Speaker 3: I met her in the Hamptons, yeah.
- 19:07Speaker 2: And she's a general contractor.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I saw that.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:10Speaker 3: I saw that. But, yeah, so I've always been around it.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Oh, that's so cool. Okay, so how did you meet
- 19:18Speaker 2: your husband then?
- 19:19Speaker 3: I met him at a bar.
- 19:21Speaker 2: How old were you?
- 19:23Speaker 3: I was young. I was like 22. But you were
- 19:25Speaker 3: out of school? I was 23. So you didn't meet
- 19:27Speaker 3: him in college? Not 22, 23. Yeah, I didn't meet
- 19:30Speaker 3: him in college. He's four years older than me. So
- 19:32Speaker 3: I actually grew up with his cousin, his first cousin,
- 19:35Speaker 3: and his sisters. But because he was four years older,
- 19:38Speaker 3: we just never met. I knew his family. And then
- 19:41Speaker 3: when we were all back in the city, my friend
- 19:43Speaker 3: from high school, my best guy friend, is married to
- 19:46Speaker 3: his first cousin. And they were like, just come out,
- 19:48Speaker 3: come out. I was actually studying for my LSAT. believe
- 19:50Speaker 3: it or not. I ended up going to NYU for
- 19:52Speaker 3: grad school, but I was going to go to law school.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Oh, you were?
- 19:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I was going to go to law school.
- 19:56Speaker 2: And what made you not do that?
- 19:57Speaker 3: My husband was like, do you really want to be
- 19:59Speaker 3: a lawyer? I'm like, absolutely not. He's like, well, then
- 20:01Speaker 3: why are you going to go to law school? I'm like,
- 20:03Speaker 3: I don't know. What else am I going to do?
- 20:05Speaker 2: My sister's an attorney. My sister's an attorney. And when
- 20:07Speaker 2: she was finishing Santa Clara- She was going to go
- 20:11Speaker 2: to law school. And I go, do you really want
- 20:13Speaker 2: to be an attorney? And she goes, I don't know.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I'm good at school.
- 20:18Speaker 3: That's how I felt.
- 20:18Speaker 2: She's like, I'm good at school, so I think I
- 20:20Speaker 2: can do it.
- 20:21Speaker 3: In the end, she passed the bar the first time.
- 20:24Speaker 2: And she's, yeah, she's a criminal defense attorney.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Oh, so then that's great.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Wow. But I mean, at the time, you know, it's
- 20:29Speaker 2: like you're 22 and there was no other. She knew.
- 20:32Speaker 2: So I grew up in real estate. My parents were
- 20:34Speaker 2: residential realtors together, like a couple.
- 20:36Speaker 3: That's so cute.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Incredible.
- 20:39Speaker 3: I think that's cute. It was cute.
- 20:40Speaker 2: It was also awful. And I said, I'll never work
- 20:42Speaker 2: with my spouse. And now I work with my spouse.
- 20:44Speaker 3: You do?
- 20:45Speaker 2: Yes. And my sister said, we would go to bed
- 20:48Speaker 2: and we'd be like, we shared a room and we said,
- 20:50Speaker 2: let's promise each other that we'll never work with our husbands.
- 20:53Speaker 2: And we both work with our husbands. She and her
- 20:56Speaker 2: husband are attorneys out in Palm's desert.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Like together?
- 21:00Speaker 2: Yeah. She has a system, does stuff for her. I mean,
- 21:03Speaker 2: they work together. I mean, it's his name, but she Right.
- 21:05Speaker 2: You know, does motions and goes to court.
- 21:07Speaker 3: I love that.
- 21:08Speaker 2: He had honor at the courthouse. I fell in love.
- 21:13Speaker 2: And then my husband got involved in my business like
- 21:16Speaker 2: six years ago and took it to the next levels
- 21:18Speaker 2: and stuff. That's great.
- 21:20Speaker 3: The car is beautiful.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Where did you end up going for it?
- 21:24Speaker 1: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with.
- 21:26Speaker 2: They have more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 21:29Speaker 2: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 21:31Speaker 3: It's Dune ADL.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Where? Doonay DL?
- 21:36Speaker 3: There's an accent on the E. Do you mean.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Lift?
- 21:42Speaker 3: Please. You're going past Kimmage.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Oh, Kimmage.
- 21:46Speaker 1: No.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Dundale Cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 21:50Speaker 4: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 21:54Speaker 4: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 21:57Speaker 4: have faced tremendous setbacks and yet somehow have found a
- 22:01Speaker 4: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 22:07Speaker 5: I'm heading to the Emmys and I have police complaints
- 22:10Speaker 5: filed against me.
- 22:10Speaker 1: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 22:13Speaker 1: what would you do if it was given back?
- 22:15Speaker 4: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 22:18Speaker 4: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 22:20Speaker 2: He said, I have a work dad.
- 22:22Speaker 4: I need a home dad.
- 22:23Speaker 2: What happens next? When I came in, he started crying.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 22:30Speaker 4: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 22:33Speaker 4: happens next.
- 22:34Speaker 2: I decided to risk it all. I realized how valuable
- 22:36Speaker 2: every day was. You're worth the work.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches. You can
- 22:40Speaker 3: use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 22:42Speaker 4: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Only one question matters.
- 22:48Speaker 2: What happens next? But it's hard. Yeah.
- 22:59Speaker 3: I mean, I know I worked with my husband.
- 23:00Speaker 2: You have worked.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Yeah. We started a fashion line. Like, ask me why?
- 23:05Speaker 3: What was that? Because I don't know. I don't have
- 23:07Speaker 3: an answer. So got my license at 19 and ended up.
- 23:12Speaker 2: So did I.
- 23:13Speaker 3: You did?
- 23:14Speaker 2: I did.
- 23:15Speaker 3: It's between- This is what real estate parents make you do.
- 23:18Speaker 2: I think it was between freshman and sophomore year of college.
- 23:20Speaker 3: I was in college.
- 23:22Speaker 2: I was on an RV. We did like an RV trip.
- 23:25Speaker 2: My dad always like thought he'd be like a camper person.
- 23:28Speaker 2: We rent an RV. It was so disastrous. It was
- 23:31Speaker 2: a brand new RV, but it was still disastrous. We
- 23:33Speaker 2: always stayed at a hotel everywhere we went, even though
- 23:36Speaker 2: we had this big RV.
- 23:37Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Then like someone stole our generator. And my dad was like,
- 23:40Speaker 2: I can't believe, I just didn't think RV people were
- 23:44Speaker 2: like this.
- 23:44Speaker 3: I'm like, dad, what?
- 23:46Speaker 2: We are not campers. I'm like, who's an RV person?
- 23:48Speaker 3: Who's an RV person? People are a certain kind of people.
- 23:52Speaker 2: They're true. And I'm like, dad, it's just not us.
- 23:54Speaker 3: That's hysterical.
- 23:55Speaker 2: So, but I was, would be driving like through, we
- 23:58Speaker 2: were going to like Colorado and stuff from California. And
- 23:59Speaker 2: I was studying that real estate book.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:03Speaker 2: So you got it.
- 24:04Speaker 3: I got it.
- 24:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:04Speaker 3: And then when I graduated- I just would like sell
- 24:08Speaker 3: real estate with my mom and help her out. And
- 24:09Speaker 3: then one time she had this building on, it was
- 24:12Speaker 3: Gramercy 19 on 19th and 3rd. And it was like
- 24:14Speaker 3: a construction site. And I love selling new development. I
- 24:17Speaker 3: love it. But back then it was like my first
- 24:19Speaker 3: time doing it. And she's like, you know what? It's
- 24:21Speaker 3: a mess in there. It's cold. It's the middle of
- 24:23Speaker 3: the winter. She was like, you deal with it. I'm like, okay.
- 24:25Speaker 3: So I did all the showings. And one of the
- 24:29Speaker 3: executives at the firm like saw me and they were like, wow,
- 24:33Speaker 3: like she's good. So they like plucked me from there
- 24:36Speaker 3: and I ended up selling four new developments by the
- 24:38Speaker 3: time I was like 22.
- 24:40Speaker 2: So now you're single and you're rolling in it.
- 24:43Speaker 3: So now I'm like, I'm like selling real estate like
- 24:46Speaker 3: a G. And then I decided to go to NYU
- 24:49Speaker 3: for sustainable development because I really loved it. I was
- 24:52Speaker 3: passionate about construction and new development and, you know, sustainability
- 24:55Speaker 3: and how that could change the future of real estate.
- 25:00Speaker 3: But I was like, I was like, my creative juices,
- 25:03Speaker 3: like I need something more and I want to start
- 25:05Speaker 3: a business. So I ended up starting a handbag line.
- 25:09Speaker 3: And Abe was like, I'll help you.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Okay. So wait, get back to how you meet the husband.
- 25:12Speaker 2: So what bar did you meet at?
- 25:13Speaker 3: The Draft, which was owned by our friend. My friends
- 25:16Speaker 3: were like, come out. There's a guy for you to meet.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Because at first I was like, no, I'm studying for
- 25:20Speaker 3: my LSAT. I'm not going out. They were like, well,
- 25:22Speaker 3: you'll meet a guy.
- 25:23Speaker 2: So now you're selling real estate, but you still think
- 25:24Speaker 2: you want to be a lawyer?
- 25:25Speaker 4: Yes. Yes.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Okay. I don't know.
- 25:27Speaker 3: I have ADD. I'm doing like 45 things at once,
- 25:30Speaker 3: which is why I do so many things, I think, now.
- 25:34Speaker 3: But yeah, so I'm studying from my house. They're like, well,
- 25:36Speaker 3: there might be a guy for you. So I'm like, okay, fine.
- 25:37Speaker 3: I'll go out. So we went out and we looked
- 25:40Speaker 3: at each other and that was it.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Oh, so somebody thought you might be a good match. Mm-hmm.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Oh, how cute. His cousin.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Oh, so it wasn't like a random thing. It was
- 25:47Speaker 2: just like- It was kind of random. But isn't that
- 25:48Speaker 2: the perfect way to meet somebody?
- 25:50Speaker 3: I think so, yeah.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Is like not a blind date, not the apps, but
- 25:53Speaker 2: just- That's how I met my husband.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Like just casual, but like easy and like, but like intentional,
- 26:00Speaker 3: but not, you know?
- 26:02Speaker 2: So we had shared a mutual friend and the guy
- 26:05Speaker 2: was like, I think you'd like this guy.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Right.
- 26:08Speaker 2: And, but like, we never talked on the phone, nothing.
- 26:11Speaker 2: And then finally there was a birthday party at a
- 26:14Speaker 2: bar going on and I called the mutual friend. I go,
- 26:15Speaker 2: will that Peter guy be there? And he's like, yeah.
- 26:18Speaker 3: That's so cute.
- 26:18Speaker 2: And I go, all right, well then I'm going to go.
- 26:21Speaker 2: And it's like perfect because you're like, Kind of supposed
- 26:23Speaker 2: to be with each other, but it's not the knocking
- 26:25Speaker 2: on a door. Totally. And you're also.
- 26:27Speaker 3: And you're not alone.
- 26:28Speaker 2: And you're also, so you didn't even see a photo
- 26:30Speaker 2: of him before.
- 26:30Speaker 3: I like sort of knew him.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Okay.
- 26:34Speaker 3: I didn't, I don't think I knew what he looked
- 26:36Speaker 3: like really, but like I knew, like I knew he
- 26:38Speaker 3: was a leachie. Like I knew the family. There are
- 26:40Speaker 3: a lot of kids and.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Like huge family. So from the moment you saw his face. Yeah,
- 26:44Speaker 2: I knew. So did I.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Immediately. Are you kidding? We have a lot in common.
- 26:49Speaker 3: It was like a movie.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Like, like.
- 26:50Speaker 3: And I never believed in that.
- 26:52Speaker 2: It was like. He turned around and was like, hi,
- 26:55Speaker 2: I'm Peter. And I was like, this is so weird.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Isn't that weird?
- 26:59Speaker 3: And I never believed in that.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Neither did I. And the next day, we had this
- 27:05Speaker 2: thing with my girlfriends, because we're older than you, where
- 27:09Speaker 2: we would say, don't jinx it, which is the absolute
- 27:13Speaker 2: opposite of manifesting in the secret. It completely goes against it.
- 27:17Speaker 2: So this is before the secret. So it was like,
- 27:19Speaker 2: don't jinx it.
- 27:20Speaker 3: No, but there's something to say about that, too. That
- 27:23Speaker 3: kind of is like manifesting in the secret. Because you
- 27:26Speaker 3: know how they say, because I'm like really into that stuff.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Okay.
- 27:29Speaker 3: But you know how they say like when you attract,
- 27:32Speaker 3: you put it out there, but then you let it go?
- 27:34Speaker 2: Oh, okay. I see what you mean.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Because if you start talking about it, then maybe like
- 27:39Speaker 3: the nervous energy comes in and then it kind of
- 27:41Speaker 3: jinxes it. Do you know what I mean?
- 27:43Speaker 4: Yes.
- 27:43Speaker 2: But I remember telling my friend that I met this
- 27:45Speaker 2: guy and like, you know, I'm laid out, whatever. We're
- 27:48Speaker 2: supposed to go out. I'm like, I don't know. This
- 27:51Speaker 2: is like, and she was like, don't jinx it. So
- 27:53Speaker 2: then I didn't, you're right. Then I didn't talk about it.
- 27:56Speaker 3: That's good.
- 27:57Speaker 2: But I was, yeah, that's interesting. Yeah.
- 28:00Speaker 3: You know?
- 28:00Speaker 2: Right.
- 28:01Speaker 3: He told his parents the next day he met the
- 28:04Speaker 3: girl he was going to marry. And like, I showed
- 28:06Speaker 3: a picture of my dad. My dad was like, marry him.
- 28:07Speaker 3: I'm like, you don't even know him. You haven't met him. Meanwhile, meanwhile,
- 28:11Speaker 3: let me tell you about my father. I have, I
- 28:13Speaker 3: was dating a guy for like five years in college. Like,
- 28:15Speaker 3: we were really serious. He was not Jewish. And I
- 28:18Speaker 3: brought him to, like, a Shabbat dinner.
- 28:19Speaker 2: And you guys are religious.
- 28:21Speaker 5: No.
- 28:21Speaker 3: We're not religious at all, actually. But, like, you know,
- 28:25Speaker 3: we're cultural and, like– So did you.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Ever– were you, like, I have to marry a Jewish
- 28:30Speaker 2: person or you just knew it would be nice if
- 28:33Speaker 2: I did because it would be easier in life?
- 28:36Speaker 3: I mean, my dad would be pissed. If you did not.
- 28:38Speaker 3: My mom was, like, open.
- 28:40Speaker 5: Okay.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:40Speaker 3: It was always like that. My dad was, like, the
- 28:43Speaker 3: more tough one and my mom was, like, easygoing about everything.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 28:48Speaker 3: But yeah, so what was I saying?
- 28:51Speaker 2: So you're saying, so the dad was like, you should
- 28:53Speaker 2: marry him. And you're like, how? You don't even know. Oh, yeah.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, yeah. So this is just a funny story.
- 28:56Speaker 3: So my ex-boyfriend in college brought him. I mean, I
- 29:00Speaker 3: was with him for a long time. Like, all my
- 29:01Speaker 3: friends knew him.
- 29:01Speaker 2: You met him, like, freshman year?
- 29:03Speaker 3: No, I met him, like, sophomore year. But, like, we
- 29:05Speaker 3: were on and off, like, after college, like, while I
- 29:07Speaker 3: was abroad.
- 29:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Even though I hooked up with other people. So he
- 29:13Speaker 3: came to a dinner. And after the dinner, like, my
- 29:15Speaker 3: dad was kind of tough. So- I was like, so
- 29:18Speaker 3: what do you think? Isn't he great? He was like, who?
- 29:21Speaker 3: I'm like, Brian, my boyfriend who just sat with us
- 29:25Speaker 3: at dinner. And he was like, oh, him?
- 29:27Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Like that was his way of being like, I will
- 29:30Speaker 3: not even look in his direction. He means nothing to me.
- 29:34Speaker 3: So he wouldn't even like, he wouldn't say anything negative.
- 29:37Speaker 3: He just wouldn't pay any attention to him. So when
- 29:39Speaker 3: he was like, marry that guy, I'm like, you haven't
- 29:42Speaker 3: even spoken one word. Like, how do you know? But
- 29:44Speaker 3: he just, like, I don't know. It's weird. It's just weird.
- 29:47Speaker 2: So you start dating.
- 29:50Speaker 3: We start dating.
- 29:50Speaker 2: How quickly before you bone?
- 29:54Speaker 3: Actually, you want to know something funny?
- 29:56Speaker 2: Yes.
- 29:56Speaker 3: I'm going to tell you my things that people don't know.
- 30:00Speaker 3: I tried. Like he stopped me a couple dates in.
- 30:05Speaker 3: He was like, I like you too much. Like I
- 30:07Speaker 3: don't want to.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Rush it.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Yeah. Isn't that interesting? I don't know.
- 30:12Speaker 2: So then how long? I don't know. When did he
- 30:14Speaker 2: finally put out?
- 30:15Speaker 3: Finally put out, I think maybe like five dates in
- 30:20Speaker 3: or six dates in.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Nice.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Five maybe.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:23Speaker 3: I was like third date. I was like, I can
- 30:25Speaker 3: do it now.
- 30:26Speaker 2: And then you knew like. Now you're like boyfriend, girlfriend,
- 30:30Speaker 2: like you at that point.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Yeah, like we never said, we never said it. It
- 30:35Speaker 3: just sort of segued. I remember one time I was like,
- 30:40Speaker 3: he said to me, he was like, I don't, what
- 30:44Speaker 3: did he say? He was like, I like, I don't
- 30:50Speaker 3: not love you or something like weird like that. Like
- 30:52Speaker 3: he didn't say I love you.
- 30:54Speaker 2: But he couldn't, he didn't feel comfortable saying it yet. Yeah.
- 30:56Speaker 2: But he was like, but I probably do love you.
- 30:57Speaker 2: I just can't say the words.
- 30:59Speaker 3: Like he was like, I don't.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Because I don't not love you.
- 31:00Speaker 3: He was like, I don't, I don't remember what. That's
- 31:03Speaker 3: kind of funny actually. I have to ask him what
- 31:04Speaker 3: he said.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:05Speaker 3: I don't remember exactly how he said it, but like
- 31:06Speaker 3: something like that. And I was like, same. Yeah. And
- 31:09Speaker 3: then it just kept like going. And then it like
- 31:11Speaker 3: went fast. I mean, we went to Greece that summer.
- 31:14Speaker 3: I think we met in October. We went to Greece
- 31:16Speaker 3: that summer and he proposed.
- 31:17Speaker 2: And what does your husband do again?
- 31:18Speaker 3: He's an attorney, an entertainment attorney. He's my attorney.
- 31:21Speaker 2: So he was already, because he's a few years older.
- 31:23Speaker 2: So when you said, I'm studying for the LSATs, he
- 31:26Speaker 2: was already an attorney.
- 31:28Speaker 3: And he was an attorney and he was like, don't
- 31:30Speaker 3: be one. He was like, do you really want, like,
- 31:31Speaker 3: do we both need to be attorneys? He's like, do
- 31:33Speaker 3: what you love. Like, go for something you love.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Right.
- 31:36Speaker 3: So then that's when I went to NYU. Oh, okay.
- 31:40Speaker 2: And so how does he ask you to marry him?
- 31:44Speaker 3: It was really cute and very typical of us. Apparently
- 31:47Speaker 3: he had like ushered this ring throughout all of our travel.
- 31:51Speaker 3: So like all these like small airports in Greece, he'd
- 31:54Speaker 3: be like, Erin, like look over here. Now where did
- 31:57Speaker 3: this ring come from?
- 31:57Speaker 2: Does it come from a good Israeli jeweler?
- 31:59Speaker 3: His uncle was. So Abe is half Cuban and then
- 32:03Speaker 3: his dad is half Turkish and Greek.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Okay.
- 32:06Speaker 3: And his dad's sister. And he was raised Jewish.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:10Speaker 3: His mom converted. Oh, okay. I think she was Catholic actually.
- 32:13Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:14Speaker 3: And I always joke like I got lucky because I
- 32:18Speaker 3: got a guy that wasn't raised by a Jewish mother.
- 32:22Speaker 3: I mean, she's Jewish, but like, you know, not like
- 32:24Speaker 3: overbearing and like psychotic like me.
- 32:26Speaker 2: My mom always said Jews make the best husbands.
- 32:29Speaker 3: He's really good.
- 32:30Speaker 2: My sister married a Jew. Really? Goldstein.
- 32:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Oh, that's very Jewish.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:34Speaker 3: See, like with lychee, people don't really know. It's Turkish.
- 32:36Speaker 2: But then he was like, I don't care if the
- 32:37Speaker 2: kids go to Catholic school because you're a better Catholic
- 32:40Speaker 2: than I'm a Jew. So my mom's like, oh, we're,
- 32:42Speaker 2: she was, oh, so cute. We went to Haley Goldstein's
- 32:46Speaker 2: First Holy Communion.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 32:49Speaker 2: She's like, oh, it looks so funny in the catalog,
- 32:52Speaker 2: whatever the catalog. Yeah.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Yeah. So it just went fast after that. Oh, so
- 32:57Speaker 3: we were in Greece and he like ushered the ring
- 33:00Speaker 3: through and we're in Santorini and he's like, come on,
- 33:04Speaker 3: let's go have a drink like on our balcony. And
- 33:06Speaker 3: I was like, I don't want to, I just want
- 33:07Speaker 3: to go to dinner. He was like, can you please
- 33:09Speaker 3: come with me? To have a drink on the balcony.
- 33:12Speaker 3: And I was like, why? I'm hungry. I want to
- 33:14Speaker 3: go to dinner just being a pain in the ass
- 33:16Speaker 3: like I normally am.
- 33:17Speaker 2: You didn't clue in? No. Did you think that this
- 33:20Speaker 2: was the trip he was going to ask you?
- 33:21Speaker 3: You know, I thought maybe. But I figured he would
- 33:24Speaker 3: have done it like when we got there. We had
- 33:26Speaker 3: already had a whole trip in Mykonos partying. Like I
- 33:29Speaker 3: didn't think he was going to wait until the end
- 33:31Speaker 3: of the trip. You know, like that threw me off.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Good one.
- 33:34Speaker 3: Yeah, it was good. So then we're like upstairs. Like
- 33:36Speaker 3: we had this really beautiful hotel with like this beautiful room.
- 33:40Speaker 3: And he's like trying to move the chairs. I'm like,
- 33:43Speaker 3: just don't move. Like it was just being a pain
- 33:44Speaker 3: in the ass about everything. So I wouldn't let him
- 33:46Speaker 3: move like the lounge chairs. So he ends up like
- 33:48Speaker 3: pulling it out and he has like nowhere to kneel
- 33:50Speaker 3: because I wouldn't let him situate the chairs the way
- 33:53Speaker 3: he wanted. But he was like, and I just immediately
- 33:55Speaker 3: started crying.
- 33:56Speaker 2: I was like, what are you doing?
- 33:57Speaker 5: Oh my God.
- 33:58Speaker 3: It was cute.
- 33:59Speaker 2: So you have this big wedding.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Yeah, we had a huge wedding.
- 34:02Speaker 2: How do you have a big wedding but you never
- 34:04Speaker 2: say vows?
- 34:05Speaker 3: I don't think it's as common in like Jewish weddings.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Oh. Yeah. Okay. So.
- 34:11Speaker 3: I mean, people do it.
- 34:12Speaker 2: So you have a rabbi marrying you?
- 34:14Speaker 3: We had a rabbi and we just were like.
- 34:15Speaker 2: And so there's not a traditional thing where you do
- 34:18Speaker 2: the traditional vows if it's a Jewish ceremony?
- 34:21Speaker 3: You can. It's just not as common.
- 34:23Speaker 2: So when you have this.
- 34:24Speaker 3: And I was so young. I was just like, whatever.
- 34:26Speaker 2: So the wedding party that you have, the wedding anniversary
- 34:28Speaker 2: party that we're going to see later on, what year
- 34:30Speaker 2: are you celebrating? 10? 10. And then you do vows?
- 34:33Speaker 3: And then we said vows and his were like four
- 34:35Speaker 3: pages long.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Oh, so you write your own. Yeah. Nice. And you're
- 34:39Speaker 2: not worried that that's going to be the real housewife
- 34:42Speaker 2: curse of.
- 34:43Speaker 3: No.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Good. No.
- 34:46Speaker 3: I'm not.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Lisa Vanderpump did it. She's still married. Yeah. I think
- 34:49Speaker 2: she's the only one.
- 34:51Speaker 3: Is that still married?
- 34:51Speaker 2: That has had, like, any kind of vow renewal, celebratory thing.
- 34:54Speaker 3: I couldn't believe... Oh, they had one?
- 34:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:56Speaker 3: I missed that.
- 34:57Speaker 2: I remember they did something at their house a long
- 35:01Speaker 2: time ago, like, Beverly Hills. And because the priest... was
- 35:07Speaker 2: this priest that I knew and he kind of blessed it.
- 35:10Speaker 2: So yeah, definitely they had something to celebrate them. Yeah.
- 35:15Speaker 2: But they're still married.
- 35:16Speaker 3: So there you go. They're very cute. Yeah. I like them.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Okay. So now jump forward. Three kids. Have you always
- 35:24Speaker 2: worked while you had the kids?
- 35:26Speaker 3: Always.
- 35:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Always. I mean, luckily, you know, this business, like it's
- 35:32Speaker 3: so flexible.
- 35:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:33Speaker 3: Which I love. So like, I could be like emailing
- 35:36Speaker 3: you know, with a newborn and that's all I'm doing,
- 35:39Speaker 3: you know? So that, that was the beauty of it,
- 35:41Speaker 3: but I need that.
- 35:42Speaker 2: What's your extra care situation? Do you have a live-in nanny?
- 35:46Speaker 3: I have a nanny who's been with us for six years. Oh,
- 35:50Speaker 3: that's great.
- 35:50Speaker 2: She's like another mother. How did you find her?
- 35:52Speaker 3: The best person in the world. Through someone, through like a,
- 35:57Speaker 3: like a, I think my mother-in-law's like housekeeper was friends
- 36:01Speaker 3: with her or something.
- 36:02Speaker 2: People must be very envious that you're able to have
- 36:05Speaker 2: kept someone for so many years because a lot of people,
- 36:09Speaker 2: it doesn't work out that way.
- 36:10Speaker 3: I know, I know.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Either the nanny gets burnt out or someone feels like
- 36:14Speaker 2: the nanny's too trying to be the mother or they're
- 36:18Speaker 2: in that, they do big girls. Like my friend had
- 36:21Speaker 2: a situation, she worked, where she'd have someone come from
- 36:25Speaker 2: the service and they'd only have a year here because
- 36:28Speaker 2: they weren't not American.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Oh, like an au pair?
- 36:30Speaker 2: Yeah. So they knew that the year was going to end. Right.
- 36:33Speaker 2: And the kids would know that. I mean, it worked out.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Their kids are fine and they're older, but like.
- 36:38Speaker 3: That's like, but then you have, okay, this sounds like
- 36:40Speaker 3: really messed up, but like you have to like include
- 36:43Speaker 3: them in all of your family affairs, the au pairs.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:47Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 36:47Speaker 2: Right.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Like you have to have dinner with them every single night.
- 36:49Speaker 3: You have to like serve them dinner.
- 36:51Speaker 2: You mean the au pair versus a nanny?
- 36:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Because of the service thing? Yeah. Because they're part of
- 36:56Speaker 2: a service?
- 36:57Speaker 4: Oh.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Because they're part of like, it's part of the experience
- 36:59Speaker 3: for them. Like, I have friends that have au pairs. Like,
- 37:02Speaker 3: you have to take them on trips.
- 37:03Speaker 2: But they pay them. This isn't like an exchange student.
- 37:06Speaker 3: No, I know.
- 37:07Speaker 4: I know.
- 37:07Speaker 3: But because of the amount, I think it's much cheaper
- 37:10Speaker 3: to have an au pair.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Oh, I have no idea.
- 37:12Speaker 3: Much.
- 37:12Speaker 2: I never had anything like that.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Yeah, because they live with you and, like, you have
- 37:15Speaker 3: to treat– like, sometimes I don't want to talk to anybody. Like,
- 37:17Speaker 3: I don't want to have dinner with the same person
- 37:19Speaker 3: every single night, you know?
- 37:20Speaker 2: Oh, that is interesting. That's a lot. It's a lot. Yeah,
- 37:25Speaker 2: I wouldn't– yeah.
- 37:25Speaker 3: Too much. Yeah. But I love her. And she doesn't
- 37:29Speaker 3: speak any English. So my kids speak Spanish mostly because
- 37:32Speaker 3: of her. Oh, that's great. And also my husband, obviously.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Oh, he speaks Spanish too. That's right.
- 37:36Speaker 3: His mom was born in Havana.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Oh, okay. So the opportunity comes up about the housewives.
- 37:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Now, how were you feeling? How much time between, okay, Erin...
- 37:52Speaker 2: here's the contract, sign it, we absolutely want you to
- 37:54Speaker 2: do it, whole family signed off, to when we as
- 37:59Speaker 2: viewers find out that this new cast is happening, it's
- 38:04Speaker 2: its own cast, we're not integrating young people like we
- 38:08Speaker 2: have in the past with the OGs, it's a brand
- 38:11Speaker 2: new cast, and all the opinionated Bravo fans... Mm-hmm. Are
- 38:16Speaker 2: discussing it. Like, what was that all like?
- 38:18Speaker 3: So I'll never forget the timeframe because I got the offer, like,
- 38:22Speaker 3: confirmed on my 35th birthday. So it was July 1st
- 38:26Speaker 3: of last year. And then we were announced in October.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Oh, and then did you go to... You went to BravoCon. BravoCon.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Well, we were there, like, for such a short period
- 38:36Speaker 3: of time. We just, like, came out on stage.
- 38:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I was there for that part. It
- 38:39Speaker 2: was super short. Yeah.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Yeah. It was fun.
- 38:42Speaker 2: But you didn't really... do anything.
- 38:44Speaker 3: We didn't do anything.
- 38:45Speaker 2: You didn't do, obviously, because we didn't know you.
- 38:46Speaker 4: Not one thing.
- 38:47Speaker 2: So you weren't doing like a panel.
- 38:47Speaker 3: We just like came out, then we left, and then
- 38:49Speaker 3: nobody came to dinner with me. They ditched me and
- 38:51Speaker 3: went to Casa Cipriani.
- 38:53Speaker 2: So that was the night?
- 38:54Speaker 3: That was the night.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Okay, let's talk about that.
- 38:55Speaker 3: That was the night.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Okay, because we see this happen on the show. Yeah.
- 38:58Speaker 2: So you do that, and you say, I have a reservation,
- 39:03Speaker 2: and we won't say the name of the restaurant. We're
- 39:06Speaker 2: going to call it Cheesecake Factory. Perfect. Okay.
- 39:08Speaker 3: I love the Cheesecake Factory, by the way.
- 39:10Speaker 2: So do I.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Great salad.
- 39:11Speaker 2: So you say.
- 39:13Speaker 3: We're going to go to the cheesecake. No, I didn't
- 39:14Speaker 3: even say that. So we had a group chat. Okay.
- 39:16Speaker 3: And everyone was like, should we do something like to
- 39:19Speaker 3: celebrate after BravoCon? And I was like, yeah, for sure.
- 39:23Speaker 3: And we were everyone.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Quick question.
- 39:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Had you started filming in October yet?
- 39:28Speaker 3: No, not at all.
- 39:29Speaker 2: So you only. met, now who did you know before
- 39:33Speaker 2: you guys started filming?
- 39:34Speaker 3: So I knew all of them sort of. I didn't
- 39:36Speaker 3: know Jessal at all. Okay. I knew sort of all
- 39:40Speaker 3: of them. Like Uba I knew.
- 39:43Speaker 2: But knew like you had lunch or knew of her?
- 39:45Speaker 3: No, Uba and I like were friends.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Yeah. She's adorable.
- 39:47Speaker 3: Adorable.
- 39:48Speaker 2: So funny.
- 39:48Speaker 3: I'm obsessed with her. She's hysterical.
- 39:51Speaker 2: I really like her personality.
- 39:52Speaker 3: She's very funny. She's a very funny person.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:56Speaker 3: And Cy, like, we had a lot of mutual friends.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Okay.
- 39:58Speaker 3: Like, very common friends. Yeah, so we were just like,
- 40:02Speaker 3: should we celebrate?
- 40:02Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 40:03Speaker 3: So everyone had, like, plus two or plus three because
- 40:05Speaker 3: they were coming to watch them at BravoCon. And it's chilly, right?
- 40:08Speaker 2: I'm just going to have my day. Go on. And...
- 40:13Speaker 2: So who makes the reservation?
- 40:15Speaker 3: So it was like the day of.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Okay.
- 40:18Speaker 3: So I'm like, okay, you know what? I'll look for
- 40:20Speaker 3: a reservation. I was trying to do everyone a favor.
- 40:22Speaker 3: And it was like 10 people.
- 40:23Speaker 2: So were you just doing it on open table? Or
- 40:26Speaker 2: you know somebody and you're like, well, I know I
- 40:28Speaker 2: can get a table there.
- 40:29Speaker 3: It was on open table. I wasn't thinking about it.
- 40:32Speaker 3: I just was like, this is easy. I didn't care.
- 40:34Speaker 2: So you go on open table and you're able to
- 40:35Speaker 2: get a reservation for the Cheesecake Factory.
- 40:39Speaker 3: Everyone knows what it is, by the way. That's fine. Well, I.
- 40:42Speaker 2: I feel because you guys... Okay, then can I say it?
- 40:45Speaker 2: Can I say it?
- 40:45Speaker 3: I like say it all the time.
- 40:46Speaker 2: I'm going to say it. I'm going to say it.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Where's my Marshall?
- 40:49Speaker 2: So Catch.
- 40:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Now, was it Catch? There's two Catches, right? Not Steak.
- 40:53Speaker 3: I've never been there.
- 40:54Speaker 2: So Catch Steak, I went with Lala and Katie from Vanderpump. Oh,
- 41:00Speaker 2: you did?
- 41:01Speaker 3: In the city?
- 41:02Speaker 2: Yes, that weekend.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Oh, how... Stop.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Yes.
- 41:05Speaker 3: Stop.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Okay, so that's what's so funny. That's funny. Okay, so...
- 41:09Speaker 2: I did a show at the Palladium here in Times
- 41:11Speaker 2: Square on the Saturday of BravoCon.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Okay.
- 41:14Speaker 2: And after that show, you know, I... Oh, we went
- 41:20Speaker 2: out the night before to the Avra.
- 41:22Speaker 3: I love Avra. So good.
- 41:24Speaker 2: I'm going there tonight, too.
- 41:25Speaker 3: So good.
- 41:25Speaker 2: And so then, I can't remember that. Maybe that was
- 41:29Speaker 2: the Thursday night, whatever. Now this is Saturday. And I go, yes, please,
- 41:33Speaker 2: you know, wait for me. I want to come and, like,
- 41:35Speaker 2: tell you about my show and everything. I remember I'm standing...
- 41:39Speaker 2: trying to get a cab in Times Square.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Oh, good luck.
- 41:41Speaker 2: And this like guy comes up to me and he's like,
- 41:45Speaker 2: can I, oh, can I take your picture? And I
- 41:47Speaker 2: thought he like knew me. I just sold 1,100 seats,
- 41:50Speaker 2: you know? And so he takes the photos and I'm like,
- 41:53Speaker 2: and he goes, you want to see them? And I'm like, oh, sure.
- 41:55Speaker 2: You know, like, you want to show? And he's like, okay,
- 41:59Speaker 2: it's $ 50, the photo. Oh my God.
- 42:02Speaker 3: And I go, what? And they were kind of cool.
- 42:05Speaker 2: The photos, because it was like Times Square and I'm
- 42:07Speaker 2: wearing this like Alice and Olivia Like satin shorts.
- 42:11Speaker 3: That's great.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Shorts and blazers.
- 42:12Speaker 3: They'll get you here.
- 42:14Speaker 2: And so I go, okay.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Did you buy it?
- 42:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I felt kind of bad.
- 42:17Speaker 3: I go, can I, I don't know.
- 42:19Speaker 2: I got like a couple. And I'm like, well, and
- 42:22Speaker 2: he's here. He's like, give me your phone. No, I'm like,
- 42:24Speaker 2: can't you just airdrop it to me? Like, I don't
- 42:26Speaker 2: know you. Then I started to get weird. Anyway, I
- 42:27Speaker 2: got a couple of photos. And finally I get a
- 42:30Speaker 2: cab and I show them to Lala. And she's like,
- 42:33Speaker 2: these are the worst pictures. They're like out of focus.
- 42:35Speaker 2: She's like, what? What the fuck is this? And I'm like, hey,
- 42:39Speaker 2: look at that.
- 42:39Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 42:39Speaker 2: So I'm like, wait for me, wait for me. But
- 42:41Speaker 2: it was the catch steak.
- 42:43Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 42:44Speaker 2: And, you know, whatever. It was good. It was great.
- 42:47Speaker 2: So you go to Open Table. You get it. And
- 42:51Speaker 2: then what happens?
- 42:52Speaker 3: Uba and Jenna were never coming.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Okay.
- 42:53Speaker 3: So that wasn't part of the thing. But everyone had
- 42:55Speaker 3: like a couple people. So it was a reservation for 10, whatever.
- 42:58Speaker 3: So then we're leaving BravoCon. And I'm like, so are
- 43:02Speaker 3: we like going to dinner? Yeah. Cy and Brynn are
- 43:06Speaker 3: kind of like, oh, and Brynn's like, I'm so tired.
- 43:08Speaker 3: And we thought they were going home. So Jessel looks
- 43:11Speaker 3: at me and she's like, should we still go out?
- 43:13Speaker 3: Like our husbands were there. I'm like, yeah, let's just
- 43:15Speaker 3: go out. So we end up going to La Conda
- 43:16Speaker 3: Verde by me.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Oh, so you canceled the Cheesecake Factory slash catch.
- 43:20Speaker 3: I canceled. And two days later, I see all these
- 43:24Speaker 3: like posted like photos of them and their outfits at
- 43:27Speaker 3: Casa Gibrani.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Just the two of them? And I was just like,
- 43:30Speaker 2: this is just cheesy.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Just the two of them? Yeah, it was like them
- 43:32Speaker 3: two and maybe like a friend or two, whoever they
- 43:34Speaker 3: were with. I just thought it was like cheesy and tacky.
- 43:37Speaker 3: That's all.
- 43:39Speaker 2: That was one of the questions they asked me on
- 43:41Speaker 2: Watch Your Homes Live. Oh, really? What did they ask?
- 43:47Speaker 2: They asked who was my favorite. And I didn't want
- 43:51Speaker 2: to say like the ones that everyone's saying, like Jenna Lyons.
- 43:55Speaker 2: I just felt like I had to give up. Just
- 43:58Speaker 2: like some love.
- 43:59Speaker 3: That's nice.
- 43:59Speaker 2: But also I wanted to just work in my Ramona impression.
- 44:02Speaker 2: And I said, I think Ramona should give her advice
- 44:04Speaker 2: on how to make her sex life sexy. You know,
- 44:07Speaker 2: because there was this one scene. You remember when Ramona
- 44:09Speaker 2: took Mario to that hotel room? It was so awkward.
- 44:14Speaker 3: She does that, I think, this season.
- 44:16Speaker 2: I figured.
- 44:17Speaker 3: I think they go to a hotel room.
- 44:18Speaker 2: So I was like, but I only want to see Ramona. Like,
- 44:21Speaker 2: I just want you guys to go to the exact
- 44:22Speaker 2: same hotel room that Ramona and Mario went to. So anyway.
- 44:27Speaker 2: But he goes, what would you think about that situation?
- 44:31Speaker 2: And I said, well, I jokingly said Cheesecake Factory. I said,
- 44:35Speaker 2: it did happen to me with the Cheesecake Factory. And
- 44:37Speaker 2: all my bitchy friends were like, it's not 1985 anymore.
- 44:40Speaker 2: And I said, it's always 1985 at the Cheesecake Factory.
- 44:44Speaker 2: But I said, no, I think it was very rude
- 44:48Speaker 2: if for some reason you didn't want to go It's
- 44:53Speaker 2: like because you're like on the side to your friend, listen, girl,
- 44:57Speaker 2: I got the good hookup at the Cipriani.
- 44:59Speaker 3: Right.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Let's do it. I mean, I know everyone posts everything,
- 45:05Speaker 2: but like there's.
- 45:07Speaker 3: Been times where– At least don't post it.
- 45:09Speaker 2: Don't post it. Exactly. I mean, there's been times like
- 45:11Speaker 2: one time there was a dinner party thing and my
- 45:15Speaker 2: friend was putting it together. And I was like, listen,
- 45:18Speaker 2: she's not inviting this other woman. Right. And– I just
- 45:22Speaker 2: think this other woman is going to be really, really hurt.
- 45:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:25Speaker 3: It's like, why?
- 45:26Speaker 2: So if we go and I called her and I
- 45:29Speaker 2: called her, I go, listen, I respect that you don't
- 45:31Speaker 2: want to invite this other woman, but if we do this,
- 45:34Speaker 2: can we just please make a pact? Right. Because she,
- 45:37Speaker 2: this girl's not famous, but she's a big poster. Right.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Every dinner, every lunch. And I go, we're not posting it.
- 45:42Speaker 2: Otherwise I'm not going.
- 45:43Speaker 4: Right.
- 45:44Speaker 3: I love that.
- 45:45Speaker 2: And, and then we ended up, then she's like, fine,
- 45:48Speaker 2: we'll invite her, whatever. And she tried to act like, oh,
- 45:50Speaker 2: I couldn't get the table. for that size, but now
- 45:53Speaker 2: I can. Because I kind of called her out, like,
- 45:54Speaker 2: why are you excluding her when she's like our friend
- 45:56Speaker 2: and she's always in. So that's what I think. I
- 45:59Speaker 2: just think that's fine if you like have a better
- 46:02Speaker 2: thing or you're not totally into it. But pretend like
- 46:05Speaker 2: it's not 2023 and that you don't have to take
- 46:08Speaker 2: photos and post.
- 46:09Speaker 3: I couldn't agree more.
- 46:10Speaker 2: So you wake up and you see it. And what
- 46:13Speaker 2: did you think?
- 46:14Speaker 3: So two days later, we see it. And then Jessel
- 46:16Speaker 3: calls me. And she's like, did you know they were going? Like,
- 46:19Speaker 3: I thought they were going home. And I'm like, ew, like,
- 46:22Speaker 3: that's bitchy.
- 46:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:24Speaker 3: And I don't like it. And she was like, oh, well,
- 46:26Speaker 3: that's fine. Like, Jessel's very nice and, like, she doesn't really, like,
- 46:30Speaker 3: say anything. And I was like, well, I think it's
- 46:32Speaker 3: a bitch move. Yeah. I thought it was, like, rude.
- 46:35Speaker 3: And I don't know. Then it just, like, I don't know.
- 46:39Speaker 3: We kind of, we kind of, us three, like, I
- 46:42Speaker 3: wasn't that into Brynn and Psy in the beginning.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Okay.
- 46:45Speaker 3: That's honestly how I felt. I wasn't that into them.
- 46:47Speaker 2: And what was the deal with Psy ripping on a
- 46:49Speaker 2: cheese platter?
- 46:52Speaker 3: Like a month before I had the girls over, like
- 46:54Speaker 3: I'm always apparently hosting and getting shit on, but I
- 46:58Speaker 3: had the girls over before we started filming for wine
- 47:01Speaker 3: and cheese. And she texted me, and this is partially
- 47:04Speaker 3: why I didn't like them either. She texted me and
- 47:06Speaker 3: she said, yeah, she was like, are we only having cheese?
- 47:09Speaker 3: And I was like, yeah, it's 8.30, we're having wine
- 47:12Speaker 3: and cheese. Like I'm not serving you dinner. You can
- 47:14Speaker 3: have dinner somewhere else. And I, when I met Brynn,
- 47:16Speaker 3: I like told her, I was like, well, Cy's like
- 47:18Speaker 3: always hungry or something. And I like told her the
- 47:20Speaker 3: story about her like commenting on me only serving cheese,
- 47:24Speaker 3: but it wasn't, it was like innocuous. It was a no, nothing.
- 47:27Speaker 3: It was like a nothing story. And Brynn went and
- 47:30Speaker 3: turned it into drama.
- 47:32Speaker 2: Right. And in size defense, it was probably just like, well,
- 47:34Speaker 2: let me know. So let me, so I eat something before.
- 47:38Speaker 3: And she needs to make sure she eats.
- 47:39Speaker 2: I've done that where you go to a party and you,
- 47:42Speaker 2: like you do think, I'd like to know, I went
- 47:44Speaker 2: to Kathy Hilton's Christmas party once. And we, she had
- 47:49Speaker 2: the most incredible, like, seafood tower, caviar.
- 47:53Speaker 3: Amazing.
- 47:54Speaker 2: And it's a Christmas party, big. So my husband and
- 47:57Speaker 2: I are like thinking, this is it, you know? And
- 48:00Speaker 2: these Beverly Hills people are scooping up the caviar and
- 48:02Speaker 2: like falling on their satin shoes like this old man.
- 48:05Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 48:06Speaker 2: Just going off. So we're having like, you know, the
- 48:09Speaker 2: shellfish feeling pretty good about ourselves. And then all of
- 48:12Speaker 2: a sudden they're like, and now we go downstairs to
- 48:14Speaker 2: eat dinner. And I'm like, oh, my God, if I
- 48:15Speaker 2: knew it was a sit-down dinner, I wouldn't have shoved
- 48:17Speaker 2: me in the shower. So I do kind of like knowing.
- 48:19Speaker 3: No, I like that. I like what she asked. It
- 48:21Speaker 3: was great. Better that she knows. I don't think it
- 48:22Speaker 3: was bad.
- 48:24Speaker 1: It wasn't.
- 48:24Speaker 2: I thought in watching it that they went to the
- 48:27Speaker 2: party and your charcuterie plate was like shit. That's how
- 48:32Speaker 2: I interpreted it. I didn't understand what this.
- 48:34Speaker 3: Stupid thing was about.
- 48:34Speaker 4: I know.
- 48:34Speaker 2: I know.
- 48:35Speaker 3: It was confusing because it was all off camera.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Right.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Basically Brynn just turned nothing into something.
- 48:41Speaker 2: And then she does it again. So then you go
- 48:42Speaker 2: to the Hamptons.
- 48:43Speaker 3: She does it all the time.
- 48:45Speaker 2: And she's like, now, listen, Jenna Lyons, so you have
- 48:50Speaker 2: your party at the Hamptons. You have a summer party
- 48:52Speaker 2: at the Hamptons. Everyone's going to spend the night. Jenna
- 48:54Speaker 2: Lyons has a house that's like, what, 10, 15 minutes away?
- 48:57Speaker 3: A minute.
- 48:58Speaker 2: But she brings her bags and everything and then just decided,
- 49:02Speaker 2: you know, I'm going to do an Irish goodbye and
- 49:04Speaker 2: just get away.
- 49:05Speaker 3: I didn't care that she was leaving.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:07Speaker 3: But, like, throw me a text.
- 49:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:09Speaker 3: Like pull me to the side and be like, hey,
- 49:11Speaker 3: I'm going to go to my house. You guys are
- 49:13Speaker 3: so loud. Like I'm just going to go. Like it's
- 49:15Speaker 3: a weird thing as a host to see someone– I
- 49:17Speaker 3: literally caught her sneaking out. Like they didn't show that either.
- 49:21Speaker 3: But I was outside and I saw it was raining.
- 49:23Speaker 3: I think it was raining.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:25Speaker 3: And I saw her, like, tiptoeing out. I'm like, where
- 49:28Speaker 3: are you going?
- 49:28Speaker 2: Yeah. Was she leaving with a rolling bag?
- 49:30Speaker 3: I don't even remember. I think. I was like, where
- 49:34Speaker 3: are you going right now? You know?
- 49:36Speaker 2: Okay. So. Well, it reminded me of, in real half
- 49:41Speaker 2: as a Beverly Hills, Teddy Mellencamp, when she was on,
- 49:45Speaker 2: had a place in Laguna Beach or Newport or whatever.
- 49:48Speaker 2: And the girls all came over and Erica Jane leaves.
- 49:54Speaker 3: Right. I remember that. And everybody's- Would she go to
- 49:56Speaker 3: like a hotel or something?
- 49:58Speaker 2: She went to a hotel, but she didn't go to
- 50:00Speaker 2: like the Pelican Hill. She didn't go to like a
- 50:02Speaker 2: fancy hotel. She literally went to like a double- Why'd
- 50:04Speaker 2: she leave? This I could totally relate to. She had
- 50:09Speaker 2: her period and I think she was premenopausal. And this
- 50:15Speaker 2: happened to me, a lot of information here, where you'd
- 50:18Speaker 2: have like your period changes and it can be really heavy,
- 50:21Speaker 2: like beyond heavy. And I think she finally, as she's
- 50:24Speaker 2: getting bombarded, she's like, I didn't want to fucking bleed
- 50:27Speaker 2: your sheets. Like, do you know how embarrassing that would be? Like,
- 50:30Speaker 2: even though we're 50, like, If you bleed at 50,
- 50:34Speaker 2: it's just as embarrassing as if you bleed at 13
- 50:37Speaker 2: in middle school. Totally. It's just– to think that women
- 50:41Speaker 2: have to go through this once a month for 40 years.
- 50:43Speaker 3: It's crazy, right?
- 50:44Speaker 2: Sometimes I don't even realize how awful it is.
- 50:45Speaker 3: And my period has gotten so much worse since I've
- 50:48Speaker 3: had kids.
- 50:49Speaker 2: It changes for– Painful. Yeah.
- 50:51Speaker 3: Awful cramps. Heavier. It's weird.
- 50:55Speaker 2: I was at Atlantis, right?
- 50:58Speaker 3: Was that what it's called?
- 50:59Speaker 2: No.
- 51:00Speaker 3: What's the– Is it.
- 51:02Speaker 2: Called the water park in the Bahamas? Okay, it's been
- 51:05Speaker 2: so long. And I'm with my kids and I have boys.
- 51:08Speaker 2: I go down the water slides and shit. And then
- 51:11Speaker 2: I hadn't, it wasn't like in the water, like I'm gonna,
- 51:14Speaker 2: you know.
- 51:15Speaker 3: Like a shark attack?
- 51:16Speaker 2: But I literally was like, I had to tell my
- 51:19Speaker 2: boys like, Get me a towel.
- 51:21Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 51:21Speaker 2: And then I'm like, I need to go get a tampon.
- 51:23Speaker 2: And my younger son's like, what's a tampon? And my
- 51:25Speaker 2: older son's like, it's like a Band-Aid for your vagina.
- 51:27Speaker 2: And I'm like, you know what, guys? I hope you realize. Wait,
- 51:30Speaker 2: that's hysterical.
- 51:31Speaker 3: That's the funniest response.
- 51:32Speaker 2: I'm like, I want you to know because whoever you
- 51:35Speaker 2: end up with, you're going to have to deal with this.
- 51:37Speaker 2: And like you guys, boys and you remember how like
- 51:41Speaker 2: a school teacher, like I went to an all-girl high
- 51:43Speaker 2: school and there was only like two men that taught.
- 51:45Speaker 2: And if you wanted to get out of anything, all
- 51:47Speaker 2: you had to do was tell that man that you
- 51:49Speaker 2: had your period.
- 51:49Speaker 3: It's so true.
- 51:50Speaker 2: And he was like, ah, you have three extra days.
- 51:52Speaker 3: They're like, la, la, la, la, la.
- 51:54Speaker 2: They don't want to hear it.
- 51:56Speaker 3: It's so true.
- 51:57Speaker 2: But anyway, so yeah, I don't think that was like
- 52:00Speaker 2: a big thing either. But then Brynn at lunch- Makes
- 52:03Speaker 2: it into a whole thing. Tries to make it a
- 52:06Speaker 2: big deal. Like, you got her monogrammed pajamas and she
- 52:08Speaker 2: didn't stay.
- 52:09Speaker 3: And it's like- Like, stop.
- 52:10Speaker 2: Stop.
- 52:11Speaker 3: It's not the same thing. And also like the whole
- 52:12Speaker 3: thing with like, I get crucified and burned at the stake. Like,
- 52:16Speaker 3: what are you talking about? Who crucified you, burned you
- 52:18Speaker 3: at the stake? Like I said, you were annoying. That
- 52:20Speaker 3: was it.
- 52:21Speaker 2: I like that Janet Lyons is a certifiable, like she's
- 52:25Speaker 2: certified lesbian. Like she's a real lesbian, committed to being
- 52:29Speaker 2: a lesbian, out lesbian, not all this lesbian light stuff
- 52:34Speaker 2: that we're seeing.
- 52:35Speaker 3: No, no lesbian light. She's a full lesbian.
- 52:39Speaker 2: And I even told Annie that too. I'm like, listen,
- 52:42Speaker 2: either be a full lesbian or like get some more
- 52:45Speaker 2: dudes on the show.
- 52:46Speaker 4: Right.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Because, you know, it's like Atlanta and everything.
- 52:50Speaker 3: I don't know about the lesbian light. Who's lesbian light?
- 52:52Speaker 3: Besides Kyle? Is Kyle lesbian light?
- 52:54Speaker 2: We don't know if Kyle's lesbian or not. But there's
- 52:57Speaker 2: lots of things in the Housewives where.
- 52:59Speaker 3: You should coin it.
- 53:00Speaker 2: They get sexy.
- 53:02Speaker 3: That's funny. Lesbian light.
- 53:04Speaker 2: I have hooker light coined.
- 53:06Speaker 3: Hooker light?
- 53:06Speaker 2: Yeah. That's like a sugar baby.
- 53:08Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Yeah. And just a little bit like, not full-blown hooker,
- 53:13Speaker 2: but a little bit. Like there's an exchange for this,
- 53:15Speaker 2: but it's not as blatant as like- There's so many, girl.
- 53:17Speaker 3: This happens all the time. Hooker like that?
- 53:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:21Speaker 3: I used to get like messages from people on Facebook
- 53:24Speaker 3: back in the day saying like, oh, do you want
- 53:26Speaker 3: to come to this like event? Like you'll get a
- 53:29Speaker 3: Chanel bag or something.
- 53:30Speaker 2: Wait, before you were married?
- 53:31Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 53:32Speaker 3: This used to happen, like clubbing days.
- 53:33Speaker 2: Do tell.
- 53:34Speaker 4: Do tell.
- 53:34Speaker 3: Yeah, this was like a thing in New York. And
- 53:36Speaker 3: I had friends that did it.
- 53:37Speaker 2: You would get a DM?
- 53:39Speaker 3: I would get DMs or like I had this one
- 53:42Speaker 3: friend that used to go on these yachts with these guys. Oh,
- 53:45Speaker 3: please tell me all of this.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 53:46Speaker 3: Yeah, used to go on these yachts.
- 53:47Speaker 2: Okay, how did you meet this girl?
- 53:49Speaker 3: The gym. Gosh, I don't want to say because she's
- 53:51Speaker 3: going to know that I'm talking about her. Okay, so
- 53:54Speaker 3: never mind. Like I knew her well. Oh, okay. I
- 53:57Speaker 3: knew her family. And she would go on these yachts.
- 54:02Speaker 3: And she would get- What was her name?
- 54:03Speaker 2: Was her name Meghan Markle? Close. Okay.
- 54:08Speaker 3: Okay. So go on. But she would go on these
- 54:09Speaker 3: yachts and she'd like come home and like have this
- 54:12Speaker 3: like big, like white, huge flap Chanel bag. It's like,
- 54:16Speaker 3: where'd you get that from?
- 54:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:18Speaker 3: You know? And I remember- And what would she say?
- 54:22Speaker 3: Like it was known. Like you shouldn't have to say
- 54:24Speaker 3: anything because we all, we just knew.
- 54:25Speaker 2: So you didn't even ask.
- 54:26Speaker 3: We just knew.
- 54:26Speaker 2: You're classy enough not to ask.
- 54:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Okay.
- 54:29Speaker 3: And there were other girls that would like go to
- 54:30Speaker 3: clubs with these guys.
- 54:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:32Speaker 3: And they would either get paid or they'd get like gifts.
- 54:35Speaker 3: And I don't know that, like, I don't know that
- 54:36Speaker 3: they were hooking up.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Remember like Breakfast at Tiffany's, the movie? Yeah. And I
- 54:40Speaker 2: never like understood it when she'd be like, you know,
- 54:43Speaker 2: you go to the ladies room and you get $ 50
- 54:44Speaker 2: from the guy. But I was like, but in the movie,
- 54:49Speaker 2: I was like, wait, are they just paying them for
- 54:51Speaker 2: their company or is she really fucking these guys?
- 54:53Speaker 3: So that's where you don't know. I mean, I'm sure.
- 54:55Speaker 2: So we're probably a little of both.
- 54:57Speaker 3: I'm sure it gets to the point where it's like,
- 54:58Speaker 3: you want... 100,000 or whatever. That's a lot. I don't
- 55:02Speaker 3: know if someone's getting that much. But I'm sure there's
- 55:06Speaker 3: like a point where it goes, okay, you want more?
- 55:11Speaker 3: There's going to be like a sexual exchange. But I
- 55:13Speaker 3: know for a fact that there was a point like
- 55:16Speaker 3: it was big. It was like, come to the club
- 55:18Speaker 3: and you get this. Like be at our table and
- 55:21Speaker 3: you'll get that, you know? But meanwhile, I was promoting
- 55:24Speaker 3: my own table. I was a promoter at one point.
- 55:26Speaker 3: So I was like, fuck all these people. I'll just
- 55:28Speaker 3: Bring my girls to my party.
- 55:30Speaker 2: Now you're a clubbing promoter.
- 55:31Speaker 3: I was a clubbing promoter.
- 55:33Speaker 2: Realtor.
- 55:33Speaker 3: I know. I just wanted to go to the club
- 55:35Speaker 3: for free and get free bottles. So I promoted for Stereo.
- 55:38Speaker 3: Do you remember Stereo? Did you ever go?
- 55:40Speaker 2: No, I never. Okay.
- 55:41Speaker 3: Stereo was the spot. No, because I didn't grow up here.
- 55:43Speaker 2: So like once I started coming here, I was already
- 55:46Speaker 2: married with kids and it was always for work.
- 55:49Speaker 3: So Stereo was like the hotspot. Okay. For anyone who
- 55:52Speaker 3: was anyone. Like I met John Mayer there. I used
- 55:56Speaker 3: to hang out with.
- 55:57Speaker 2: I just saw Sheena Shea dated John Mayer.
- 55:59Speaker 3: She did?
- 56:00Speaker 2: Yeah, she just said that on her show. Really? She
- 56:02Speaker 2: said that's why she got fired from this restaurant because
- 56:04Speaker 2: she was dating John Mayer and then she got fired
- 56:07Speaker 2: and then got hired at Villa Blanca. So if she
- 56:09Speaker 2: hadn't fucked John Mayer, she would have never gotten fired
- 56:13Speaker 2: and she would have never ended up. on Ella Blanca,
- 56:16Speaker 2: which then ended up on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,
- 56:18Speaker 2: ended up on Vanderpump Rules. Then she meets Brock, gets
- 56:21Speaker 2: pregnant by Brock. The only reason Summer is walking around
- 56:25Speaker 2: her daughter is because of John Mayer.
- 56:29Speaker 3: John Mayer, you are a good man. Yeah. Yeah, so
- 56:33Speaker 3: like DJ AM, remember him?
- 56:35Speaker 2: Yes.
- 56:35Speaker 3: That was really sad. Travis Barker. I mean, everyone was there.
- 56:37Speaker 3: It was like anyone who was anyone.
- 56:39Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 56:39Speaker 3: And that's where we used to go. It was the best.
- 56:40Speaker 2: So you went up and you're like, I'll... How does
- 56:43Speaker 2: that work? I'll get the hot girls to come or I'll...
- 56:46Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 56:46Speaker 3: I just knew everyone at the club and I was like,
- 56:48Speaker 3: give me the... I was like, give me tables and
- 56:51Speaker 3: I'll just bring my friends.
- 56:52Speaker 2: Because you had hot friends.
- 56:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:54Speaker 2: Now, what if you... Was it ever weird if one
- 56:57Speaker 2: of your friends, in your opinion, was fucking made you
- 57:00Speaker 2: pee your pants and fun, but wasn't at the level
- 57:04Speaker 2: of stereo hot table hotness?
- 57:06Speaker 3: Oh, I used to bring like just regular looking people
- 57:09Speaker 3: as well.
- 57:10Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 57:11Speaker 3: So you never had to avoid anything. No, I would
- 57:13Speaker 3: never do that. No, no, no. No, because it's like
- 57:15Speaker 3: the guys do that. They're like, well, only the hot girls.
- 57:18Speaker 4: Right.
- 57:19Speaker 3: But I knew the people at Stereo, so they just
- 57:21Speaker 3: let me promote and they knew that we were just
- 57:23Speaker 3: like a fun table. And it was kind of cool
- 57:25Speaker 3: because it was like a girl's table. It was just girls.
- 57:28Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 57:28Speaker 3: It was cool. It was fun. We used to have
- 57:30Speaker 3: so much fun.
- 57:30Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 57:31Speaker 3: I was such a club rat. I used to go
- 57:32Speaker 3: to Butter on Mondays. I was out all the time.
- 57:37Speaker 2: And this is while you're Out of college, but working,
- 57:40Speaker 2: but not married yet.
- 57:41Speaker 3: Even like when I was in college, I'd like come
- 57:43Speaker 3: back to the city and go out. And this is
- 57:45Speaker 3: like the Scottish days.
- 57:47Speaker 2: What was your favorite outfit? Like when I wear this outfit,
- 57:51Speaker 2: I have the best time or type of outfit. Like
- 57:53Speaker 2: what would be your going out outfit?
- 57:55Speaker 3: I used to wear like jeans and a cute top.
- 57:58Speaker 3: That was it. Like jeans and a cute top and
- 58:00Speaker 3: like chunky heels. Sometimes a dress in the summer. Okay.
- 58:05Speaker 3: Always different outfits. We were really into like, I think
- 58:08Speaker 3: like that time frame was a really cool time frame.
- 58:11Speaker 3: What year would that be? It was like Ashley Olsen
- 58:12Speaker 3: was always out. Like Paris Hilton we would see out
- 58:14Speaker 3: all the time. Like we would see them out. That's
- 58:17Speaker 3: who we would see out. Lindsay Lohan.
- 58:19Speaker 2: What about Tinsley Mortimer? Did you know her?
- 58:22Speaker 3: This was Bungalow 8. Remember Bungalow 8?
- 58:24Speaker 2: I mean I remember hearing these names.
- 58:26Speaker 3: Bungalow 8 I was at every night.
- 58:27Speaker 2: So this is like 2000 and what?
- 58:29Speaker 3: Probably like 2010, 11, 12, 13. Like yeah. Well no.
- 58:37Speaker 2: It would have been earlier than that, wouldn't it?
- 58:38Speaker 3: Yeah. Between maybe like six, seven, eight.
- 58:43Speaker 2: So did you know Tinsley? No.
- 58:45Speaker 3: Never knew her.
- 58:46Speaker 2: But you never saw her out?
- 58:47Speaker 3: Never saw her out. My girlfriend, Alex, knew her.
- 58:50Speaker 2: I did a live Juicy Scoop and Dorinda was my
- 58:53Speaker 2: guest and Tinsley came. And then Tinsley took me to
- 58:59Speaker 2: a club.
- 59:00Speaker 3: Really? Which club? I don't even know clubs anymore.
- 59:04Speaker 2: I don't even know the name of it. But like.
- 59:07Speaker 2: It was, this is probably like, yeah, it's probably like
- 59:09Speaker 2: six years ago or something. And I'm like at the club.
- 59:14Speaker 2: And at that time, I mean, I'm like looking around
- 59:16Speaker 2: and I'm like, I'm like a solid, could almost be
- 59:19Speaker 2: 20 years older than everybody here.
- 59:20Speaker 3: Because everyone's like 25 at clubs.
- 59:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 59:22Speaker 3: Even younger.
- 59:23Speaker 2: But I was like, I'm with, and now there's like
- 59:25Speaker 2: a documentary about her being the it girl.
- 59:27Speaker 3: Of like the 2000s. Yeah, she used to be.
- 59:29Speaker 2: And I was like, I mean, I am kind of
- 59:30Speaker 2: impressed that... Speaking of Tinsley Mortimer, I think she's getting married.
- 59:35Speaker 1: Oh, good.
- 59:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:35Speaker 3: That's great.
- 59:36Speaker 2: She's engaged to some rich guy. Wasn't she engaged to
- 59:39Speaker 2: a rich guy before? To the coupon guy. I don't...
- 59:43Speaker 2: She's engaged to this coupon king that she met through.
- 59:46Speaker 3: Chicago or something?
- 59:47Speaker 2: Oh, Carol introduced her.
- 59:49Speaker 3: Oh.
- 59:52Speaker 2: And then, yeah, they didn't work out and... And that's
- 59:57Speaker 2: part of the reason I think she left the show
- 59:59Speaker 2: because she wanted to try to make that work out.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: And she felt like it wasn't going to work if
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: she stayed on the show. But now she's engaged to
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: this other– or I think about to get engaged. I
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: don't know. It's serious. But my insiders tell me he's
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: very nice and very rich.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: Every time I think of Tinsley Mortimer, I think of
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: the Big Apple Circus and her crying. That's it. That's
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: all I see. Like crying hysterically at the Big Apple Circus.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: It's like Kelly Ben Simone. The only thing I think
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: of when I see her is Scary Island with that face.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: I just saw a really funny classic moment that someone
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: put together and it's they're in Morocco. They're getting like
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: henna tattoos and that's what.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: They're getting tattoos?
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: Oh, henna. And that's when you hear the clunky heels
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: come down and Luann is like, what is that, a buffalo?
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: And Alex McCord comes down and she's like, I need
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: to talk to you. And then Kelly's best mode is like,
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: you're just weird. That's weird. Go back and reenter. She goes,
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: what do you mean reenter? She goes, just go back
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: and reenter. She goes, I swear to God, Alex. She's like,
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: you're not being authentic. It's like you're acting. It's like,
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: she's like, it's like Alex McCord thinks she's like still
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: at Northwestern stage or something. She's like, why are you
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: talking to us like this? And, uh, And then that's
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: when later on she goes, you walked down this, you
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: came down with your hairy, what was it, Munster? What
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: was his name?
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, the Munster shoes.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: What was his name now?
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: Harry Munster?
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: Shoes. And she goes, they weren't that. They were Louis Vuitton.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: And she's like, well done. Even Louis Vuitton makes mistakes.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: Yeah. So good.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: So good.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: So good. Okay. So once it gets announced that we
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: have a new young cast. But don't worry, we're working
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: on having hopefully another legacy cast. What kind of negative
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: reaction were you getting?
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Everyone was just like, no,
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: how could you do this? Bring back the OGs. We
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: don't want this. We don't like them. Blah, blah, blah.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: Went on and on and on.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: And would they actually find you and say anything mean
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: to you? No. Oh, but you were just hearing it like.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: In the rumblings. Any comment, anything Bravo posted. It was
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: just– people were just not receptive.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: Oh.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: You know?
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: Which I get.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: Fine.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: And so then they worked on the OGs coming back
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: and then that fell apart. And now they did the St. Barts,
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: which now they moved up. Right. Which I think is
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: a good sign for New York in general. Yeah. For,
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: you know, 2.0 and whatever.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: Well, I think they had to deal with the other
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: one that they were going to.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Put in that time slot. I asked Annie about it.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: So I'm like– I think it's the Caroline and Brandy Glanville.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about, the lesbian light stuff. I said,
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: if there could be enough guys, you know, like bringing
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: some pirates, bringing some other people for these horny girls
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: to fuck.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: Yeah, she was just so horny, she had to go
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: for Caroline.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: Of all the people.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: Poor Caroline.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: So Caroline's not happy.
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: Well, when you hear the story, did you hear like
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: the backstory of it?
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: The backstory, this is what I've heard.
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: Because that's interesting.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: It's just that they were joking around and Caroline said
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: she'd never kissed a girl or something. Brandy kisses her
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: and everyone, there's a lot of different stories, but that
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: first story is that she laughed and she was fine
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: with it. Then something happened where they went in the bathroom.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: I think Alex McCord might've been there. They had mics
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: on and Caroline said that she grabbed at her privates
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: or her boobs or something. And so then they leave.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: And then the next day, Caroline's like, you know what?
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: I'm so upset. I'm flying home. And then they send,
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: or they send Brandy home and then something.
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: I don't know what happened there.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: And so this whole thing and like, yeah. So by
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: the time it airs, it'll be a very long time
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: since they like filmed this. Right. But I guess the St. Barts,
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: I think because Crappy Lake is good and everything, they
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: were like, I think people.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: Will have fun watching this. I'm excited to see it.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: I want to watch it. Yeah. Yeah. So, but that's
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: what I'm talking about. Like, in Real Housewives of Atlanta, they,
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: you know, they're accusing the girls of making out.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: Yeah, but then they said it wasn't true. I don't,
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: I can't like.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: But that's what I'm talking about. There's too much lesbian
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: light storylines. Either be a full-blown lesbian.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: Lesbian light.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: But don't, but like, I think that you like, just
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: have some more dudes around. Right. Harry Dubin. Yeah.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: What if, I was thinking, You know how Brynn, her
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: tagline is like, if you make me mad, I'll date
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: your dad. And I'm like, is Aviva Drescher's dad still alive?
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Because I would like to see Brynn date him. Do
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: you remember him? Yeah.
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: Why is it always like the Jewish dads are like
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: creepy trying to date everyone?
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: I had a friend who had an old Jewish dad
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: and he was kind of flirty. Yeah.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: My dad's flirty.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: Is he single?
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: Not right now.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: What if Brynn tried to date him?
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: I would murder her. That would be disgusting.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Well, it's probably going to happen. No. What does Brynn
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: do for a living? Do you know?
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: I know what it says on her Instagram.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: It's just influencer or?
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: Corporate comms or something.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: I know that she used to do, she used to
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: work in marketing.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: I don't know what she does. I think she's like
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: not working right now.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: And Psy's an influencer. Mm-hmm. Full-blown. Full-blown. Full-blown.
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: Swipe up to buy.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: And Jenna Lyons is a full-blown lesbian, and she has
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: her- Eyelash. So that was interesting, too, because I was like,
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: I can't believe.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: Why does she sell eyelashes? Yeah, because- She doesn't have any.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: No, now I know that. But when I heard her tagline,
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: I'm like, of all the people kind of winking at hey,
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: I have fake eyelashes when so many of us do.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: I just thought that tagline doesn't fit the narrative of
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: what I'm looking at. But now it makes sense now
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: that she's talked about the story.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: And also, but she is very like lipstick. Like she
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: loves makeup and hair.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: No, super glam, but I just thought, it almost seemed
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: like a line that like someone would say on OC.
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: Like it didn't feel like a fashionista. Oh, because you
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: didn't know she had the company. No, we didn't.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: And I didn't know that it came from her having this,
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: you know, genetic disease. So I just, hearing the taglines
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: to first, I was like, this is just, what's your tagline?
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: I'm a real New Yorker. The only bull I'll take
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: is by the horns. It's fine. I have next season. Hopefully.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: I've always tried to write my own and I thought
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: maybe they would ask me.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: You'd be great at it.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: Of writing? No, it's very hard because Okay, so I
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: thought maybe when I was on Watch What Happens Live,
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: they would ask me that or something. So I just
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: asked my people to come up with it. And there
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: were so many. And so many of them were like,
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: I know I'm thirsty, but I got the juice. I
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: was like.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: That's actually really funny. I like it.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: The person that came up with that one got like
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: a thousand likes. That's really funny. So I'm like, I
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: guess you guys think that I am thirsty.
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: No, but it's funny because you comment on all this
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: like information.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: I think if I was to have a tagline though,
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: I would want to separate myself because I would be
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: the first actual female standup that's ever been on the show. Right.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: So I would want to work standup in there. So
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: this is the one I was thinking of.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: Okay. I don't know how.
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: I'm excited.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: I have to like flip, right? So I'd be like,
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: Never forget, I'm a real stand-up. So that means you
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: need to sit down and listen.
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: Oh, that's good.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: Or sit down and laugh. No, listen.
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: Listen.
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: Because that's like authoritative. Yeah. I think that's good. Yeah.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: I like it.
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: Well, thank you so much for coming on. I'm excited
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: to watch the rest of the show. I hope that
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: this vow renewal doesn't.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: It doesn't end badly.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: No. Me too. I will bless my TV before I
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: watch it. Thank you. Thank you. Tell everybody where they
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: can follow you so they can follow your fun, cute life.
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: Yeah. You can follow me on Instagram, Erin Dana Leachie.
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: We were talking about this before. I need to be
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: better with TikTok. I'm working on it. Other than that,
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: I'm not really on Twitter.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: And the show airs every Sunday, right?
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: Every Sunday at 9. And it gets pretty wild. Okay, good.
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: It's like a roller coaster.
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: Okay, good.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a lot.
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: I like all the girls. I'll be totally honest. I
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: think the last episode was a little.
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: Okay, who's your favorite? Besides you. Besides me. And who
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: do you not like?
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: I don't not like anyone.
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: Okay, good.
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: I don't not love you. Good. And I don't not
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: like anyone.
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: I mean, I think they're all pretty. I think they're
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: all interesting. I agree that that lingerie was awful that
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: she wore. So I kind of agreed with her. I
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: didn't think she had to be so mean about it. Right.
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: That was the whole thing.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: Yeah. But no, it wasn't cute.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: On her. It was like too big and she needed
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: a bra. But okay. What's her new jessel? But I
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: think everyone has an interesting story. I love seeing their homes.
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: I love seeing your clothes. I love seeing all of them.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: I love seeing just New York in general. Yeah. That's
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: why I love it.
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: So nice to see New York.
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: Because it's just like Sexton City. It's another character. The
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: city is another character. And so, yeah, I'm kind of
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: curious to see where this goes.
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a roller coaster.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: And I think, you know, I think, you know, hearing
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: people's backgrounds is really interesting. I thought it was interesting
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: that you were like, I thought when Cy was like,
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: Going to the 99 cent store when that's the only
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: place you could shop is not fun as an adult.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: And I just thought that was, it's just like nice
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: hearing different people's perspectives and worldviews.
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: And how true that is.
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: Yeah. I loved hearing about like everyone's upbringing.
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: Yeah. I think that makes it so interesting.
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: My scene was cut. So maybe in the future you
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: guys will know about my.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: Well, we already know now. We got to, oh, you
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: tell more of a childhood story.
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: I actually in the Hamptons like broke down. I was,
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: we were like just. I was just opening up to
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: the girls about my life.
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: So, but at some point I'll reshare.
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: Yeah. Did you fix your thermostat?
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: I did. I had Petro come immediately. I was like,
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: of course this happens to me now. Like of all
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: times when they're here.
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: By the way, I love that dish. There's an Israeli
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: bakery near my house that is the yummiest. And I
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: absolutely order it. What is it called? Shakshuka?
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: It's called Shakshuka. And everybody on social media is like
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: up in arms because they're like, it's not Israeli. It's Tunisian.
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: It's this. It's North African. But what people need to
- 1:11:26Speaker 3: remember is that Israel is like the United States. It's
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: a melting pot. It's a new country. So people come
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: from all these different places. So it's not, doesn't necessarily
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: mean it's Israeli, but it's served in Israel. Yes. Because
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: everybody makes different dishes from all these different cultures. And
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: now it's quote unquote Israeli, like an American dish. Like
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: nothing's American. America's new. So just remember that.
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: Here's my advice when somebody writes you stuff like that.
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: Just go, thanks for the info. Right.
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: Thanks. Bye.
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: Do not. I know. Get in a long explanation. I know.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: I know. About something so dumb. I know.
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: But it is a delicious dish. It's very like filling.
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: That's why I like it so much.
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: You know, like it sustains you all day.
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: But do you do like the bread where you dip it?
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: Because, I mean, that's the obvious part.
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: That's the way to do it.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: I was wondering if that's the carbs.
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: I had bread that day.
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: Oh, good. I'm glad.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: I eat bread.
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: Anyway, this was really fun.
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: And it was really good getting to know you. Me too.
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: And I'm excited to see more.
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: Thank you so much for having me.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: Thank you. Thank you so much, Erin, for coming on
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: the show. I actually just texted her. Maybe we'll get
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: together for a lunch or a dinner while I'm here
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: in the Hamptons. I also just got word that there's
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: some major drama going on between all my good friends,
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: Jeff Lewis and Brandy and Julie, and their show with him.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: And I heard from them. I heard from him earlier.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: I don't know what's going on, but I'm going to
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: get the scoop. And I will be sharing that on Patreon,
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: whatever scoop I get, whatever thoughts I have. And that
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: you get at HeatherMcDonald.net. I have a brand new show
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: on Thursday featuring Dr. Drew that we recorded that is
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: really juicy and interesting as always. Follow me on Instagram
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: and TikTok at Heather McDonald for my daily going-ons as

- 1:13:24Speaker 2: get together with Hannah Berner, going to hopefully see Erin.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: It has just been so fun and I want to
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: take you guys on the journey. So follow me on Patreon.
