- 0:01Thirteen ten, Wi b A and Ask the Experts Joined in studio this evening
- 0:06by Alan Brighton baki is with QC Kinetics. Alan, great to see you
- 0:10at the studio. Oh, it's a pleasure to be here. Thanks for
- 0:12having me. I've had the pleasure of coming out and visiting you at your
- 0:16Southwest Side location a couple of times. And just an amazing clinic, and
- 0:20we'll talk about all the magic that goes on there. But that's not the
- 0:24only clinic. You have two here in the area, don't you. We
- 0:26do. We also have one up on just off American Parkway and one fifty
- 0:30one by Aaron Snugpub. So for folks that have probably heard me and others
- 0:35talking about QC Kinetics, pretty amazing stuff, really the future of medicine.
- 0:40How did you get involved, Alan, with QC Kinetics. What's a little
- 0:44bit about your background. Well, I got involved with it because I was
- 0:48just really intrigued by the technology. You know, the ability to help help
- 0:52people, you know, reduce pain and prove their range of motion and give
- 0:55their life back to them really was very appealing when you can do it in
- 0:58a non surgical way, no downtime, no missed work, the ability to
- 1:02get back to doing the things that you really want to do and feel like
- 1:03the best version of yourself. When we talk about that type of work that
- 1:08you guys are doing at QC Kinetics, let's talk about your typical patient.
- 1:12What is it for folks that kind of take the action they say, you
- 1:15know what, I'm going to call. Everyone's got the number burnt into their
- 1:18head six, so eighty three when ninety seven seventeen fifty is for people to
- 1:22actually kind of make that step. What are you seeing? What's kind of
- 1:26is there like a breaking point or is it just something where where it's it's
- 1:30maybe a spouse or an event or something says, you know what, today's
- 1:34the day to make that call and take that action. What's kind of that
- 1:36impetus? Generally? You know, I think it falls into kind of three
- 1:38categories. Sometimes it's the spouse who says enough is enough, But more often
- 1:42than not, you know, pain sneaks up on people in a different way.
- 1:46Arthritis particularly, it sort of becomes as an ache and then it starts
- 1:49to affect the way you sleep, the way you move, and pretty soon
- 1:52you stop doing things and when you realize I'm my life is getting smaller.
- 1:57I'm not doing as much as I want to do. I may want to
- 1:59go ride my bike, I may want to go walk around the lake.
- 2:01I may want to you know, be able to stand at a ballgame or
- 2:05do something that I just can't do anymore. And then it's that realization sort
- 2:08of like the glass shattering, where you say enough is enough. Also,
- 2:13we hear a lot of people say I can't sleep anymore. Oh it's too
- 2:15painful. I lay on my side, whether it's my shoulder, my hip,
- 2:19my knee. I want to be able to sleep again. And you
- 2:22know, when you're sleep deprived, pain just gets worse and worse and worse.
- 2:27And people just don't have the time or the luxury to say, Okay,
- 2:30I'm going to go have a surgery. You know, roll the dice
- 2:31with what that's going to be miswork, you know, the cost of you
- 2:36know, deductibles and insurance or through the roof. And so we provide a
- 2:39nice alternative to that. Let's talk about what what you mentioned the alternative and
- 2:44what we're talking about with regenerative medicine. For folks that aren't familiar, what
- 2:47is regenerative medicine? And and you mentioned kind of the science. This is
- 2:52cutting edge, but it's not necessarily anything new per se, is it.
- 2:57It's it's it's obviously that these natural biologics have always been there. It's the
- 3:00application and how we're using them that are that revolutionized things, isn't it.
- 3:05Yeah, you've really captured it. Well, it's not just a one size
- 3:08fits all. We really try to tailor our protocols to the individual patient.
- 3:13You know, a lot of the terms have been out there in the industry
- 3:15for a while. People will hear about plasma or platelet rich plasma, or
- 3:19stem cells, and we have a few other things that we have in our
- 3:23bag of tricks, if you will, that that can help. Some of
- 3:24it's a little bit proprietary, but we do harvest really all the genetic I
- 3:30should say genetic material, but the biologic material from you. So we're using
- 3:34your system to help heal yourself, and from that we really reduce any risk
- 3:38of any sort of contamination or infection and really allow your body to recognize what's
- 3:46going on and then heal itself. You talk about contamination or infection and I
- 3:50think of surgery and I I am somebody who who's knock on Wood. I've
- 3:53never actually had a surgical procedure performed on me in my life, and it's
- 3:58it's and I've had loved ones that have and it's always it's scary. I
- 4:01mean that the reality is going through that. And modern medicine is amazing.
- 4:08They can do amazing things, but it's still surgery. There's still that stuff.
- 4:12This is an amazing alternative to get the results are outstanding and not have
- 4:17to worry about that process of being put under. And I've got to bet
- 4:24for a lot of folks too, that's something that they say, you know
- 4:26what, I'm gonna I'm going to go this route because I just don't want
- 4:30to experience that or have to go through that process of surgery. I think
- 4:33that's spot on. Now. One of the things I want to make very
- 4:36clear on is there are certainly times where surgery is very appropriate. So I
- 4:42don't want any of my comments to be construed that somehow, oh, we
- 4:45can solve every problem that you have. That's certainly not the case. We
- 4:47know if you have a broken bone or a torn fully torn ligament, these
- 4:53are things that we can't help with. But without question, you know,
- 4:57there's plenty of people who rightfully have a little bit of a fear of surgery.
- 5:00Maybe I've had a surgery. A lot of our patients have had one
- 5:03knee replaced and just don't ever want to go through that experience again, or
- 5:06have had a hip replacement and don't want to have that experience again, or
- 5:11have a bad knee and they want to stop the other one from getting that
- 5:14bad, and so you know, we'll treat both. That Bilateral treatment is
- 5:17very, very popular to make sure that we keep people moving because you know
- 5:20what happened sometimes, Sean, is you favor one joint and then pretty soon
- 5:24the good joint yeah, gets worse, Yeah, and you start saying,
- 5:27gee, that was my good knee. What happened? We just had a
- 5:30Green Bay packer I was in it. I think of the player who was
- 5:34that that was having some injury issues and went in for studies and found out
- 5:39his literally was relying on one leg much more than the other and that stress
- 5:44that was being put on that that more used leg. Case in point right
- 5:47there. As we talked this morning with Alan Bridenbach with QC Kinetics self whenever
- 5:51six oh eight three one nine seventeen fifty that's six' eight three one nine,
- 5:56seventeen fifty. So let's talk about the consultation. That is, you guys
- 6:00offer free consultation for folks that say, this is something I'm curious about.
- 6:04How does that How does that consultation go? And and and what are what
- 6:10are you know, what are some of the people's experiences with those Well,
- 6:13I think this is the thing that's really kind of a different experience than what
- 6:15they might get from when I say traditional medicine. When you go into your
- 6:17family practitioner, you get a referral out to an orthopedist, you get the
- 6:21opportunity to meet right away, you know, with our specialists that can walk
- 6:25you through here are the treatment options available to you. Obviously, you go
- 6:29through we go through an exam, we want to make sure that you're a
- 6:30viable candidate. We're taking a health history. But as we go through that
- 6:33process, we then tailor that program to what your situation is. And then
- 6:38you'll meet with one of our patient consultants to have the opportunity to go through
- 6:41and say here's the best best path forward for you, and here's what you
- 6:45can expect as an outcome. One of the things things also I think is
- 6:47really cool about QC kinetics. Is that is that personalized experience is It's unfortunate
- 6:54what's going on I think in healthcare in this country is a lot of folks
- 6:58feel like a number they feel kind of like cattle being hearded this way and
- 7:01that way, and don't really feel like their medical concerns, let alone their
- 7:05personal concerns are being addressed, having those consultations, having those meetings. As
- 7:11I've mentioned, I've had a chance to meet with you a couple of times
- 7:14here on the West Side, and I am always amazed at just how welcoming
- 7:17and how open everybody is as well to talk about different things and make that
- 7:24connection and establish that relationship when it comes to improving people's lives. That's important
- 7:29too, is having that understanding of what do you want to get out of
- 7:31this and what's your goal here? Without question, I mean, we know
- 7:35that one of the things we talk about are really non medical. You know,
- 7:40we don't get into a conversation to say, Okay, we're going to
- 7:42get your range of motion to this, or we're going to get your pain
- 7:45level to this. Although I will say one of the things we do is
- 7:47we actually do use a third party to validate our outcomes and to have the
- 7:51ability to say, Okay, here's what we typically see from a patient.
- 7:56So it's not just us saying it, although we have a lot of patients
- 7:58that are saying it. It really is that opportunity to say, hey,
- 8:01what does this mean to you? For some people, it may mean they
- 8:05can get back into the weight room and they can start doing squats again.
- 8:07For some people that might mean I can get on the floor with my grandkids
- 8:09and get up without thinking about it. For some it might be I can,
- 8:13you know, walk around of golf, or I can swim again,
- 8:16or I can sleep, just some basic things. I think one of the
- 8:20things is if you've ever had this said to you, you know, I
- 8:22have bone on bone. We want to see you. Yeah, because we
- 8:28really help people in that regard, and that really is a specialty for us.
- 8:33You know, one of the things that folks can't see but I can
- 8:35is how you light up when you talk about this stuff. You're passionate about
- 8:39this, obviously for a number of reasons. Having seen the outcome firsthand of
- 8:43so many people that have come to visit QC kinetics. You've also got a
- 8:48personal story as well. Don't you, I do. I laugh about it.
- 8:52Is that not only am my part of QC Kinetics, but I'm also
- 8:54a patient my shoulder. I had a surgery on both my shoulder and back
- 9:00in two thousand, played a lot of baseball and kept playing up until about
- 9:05twenty fifteen, well past the warranty expiring, and really started falling into that
- 9:11trap that I talked about earlier, and that is, you know, my
- 9:13range of motion just kept decreasing. It kept decreasing. I was having trouble
- 9:18sleeping on it. I'm a side sleeper. So I finally said, you
- 9:20know, this seems ridiculous. Here we am here, I'm a part of
- 9:24this clinic, and I haven't given it a shot for myself. And I
- 9:28would tell you, Sean, I went from not being able to reach across
- 9:31my body to not raise my arm above my head. I'm showing you right
- 9:33now, Right now, I'm back. I can do pushups, I can
- 9:37do shoulder dips, I'm exercising. It really has made a profound difference.
- 9:43And shoulders are so difficult to treat surgically and to have an outcome like that,
- 9:48I can't image. There's so much going on. Yeah, it's not
- 9:50just a hinge. It moves in a lot of different ways. It's a
- 9:54pretty amazing joint. As we talked this morning with Alan Bridenbike with QC Kinetics
- 9:58self number six eight three seventeen fifty. That's six so eight three one nine
- 10:03seventeen fifty, we hear a lot of horror stories of folks that have pain,
- 10:07and the obvious thing that for a lot of us we do as we
- 10:11reach for the medicine cabinet, we start out maybe some tail and all or
- 10:16whatever, and then start going people want to avoid that for for really good
- 10:20reason. Sure, and QC Kinetics and I say this, and I think
- 10:24this needs to be reinforced. No drugs, No drugs. Yeah, and
- 10:28that's a great point. I think one of the things that is often forgotten
- 10:33is we have become, you know, we sort of numb the pain in
- 10:35different ways. It might be you know, oh I had a tough day
- 10:37to day, I'm feeling pretty sore. I have a few drinks, you
- 10:39know, have an old fashion on Friday. Nothing wrong with that, But
- 10:43by the same token, pretty soon you know you're taking tail and all or
- 10:46you're taking advil, and then pretty soon you're taking six eight ten, twelve,
- 10:50just to get through the day, just to get your day started.
- 10:54That can have a lot of challenges with it. Sometimes you can go to
- 10:56a general practitioner and they'll give you, you know, core zone shot.
- 11:01Well, you can only do a few of those. You know, that's
- 11:01not something you can do over and over and over because it can start to
- 11:05break down the tissues. We actually have a number of patients we refused.
- 11:09We refer to those as cruise shots. Hey, I'm going on a cruise
- 11:13this summer. I want to be able to get through it. But when
- 11:15I get back, let's get treated. And I think there's a big difference
- 11:18between masking pain and fixing pain. And that's really where we try to focus.
- 11:22And that's what I was going to ask you about next, is just
- 11:24that is when you know, you're you know, if you're doing those those
- 11:28the injection steroids and other things, or an end set and those those type
- 11:31of things, it's not addressing the issue at all. It's making it so
- 11:35you don't maybe not feel the issue, but you're really not solving the problem,
- 11:39are you. Yeah. It's not a permanent solution, right, I
- 11:41mean, I think about it. If your shingles blow off your roof.
- 11:45You might put a blue tarp up there for a while and that can hide
- 11:48the problem. You still have a problem. Yeah, and the final thing
- 11:50too, And we're going to actually talk more with Alan about Obviously we talk
- 11:54about by logics and we talk about restoring your damaged tissue, the other things
- 12:00they do a QC kinetics as well. I'm going to talk with Alan about
- 12:03that in just a moment, But first I also want to talk about getting
- 12:05back to life. Is we talked about surgery earlier. There's recovery. There's
- 12:09substantial recovery when it comes to surgery, QC kinetics, natural biologics. What's
- 12:18the recovery like there? At what's zero? You know? Without question?
- 12:26I mean I'll tell you that people walk into the clinic, they walk back
- 12:28out. Yeah, they can drive themselves home. They have the ability to,
- 12:33you know, keep doing what they want to do. Probably the only
- 12:35thing that might slow them down a little bit is we have one procedure when
- 12:39we deal with stem cells that you just can't take a shower for twenty four
- 12:43hours, so you can't get it wet. So if you shower up before
- 12:46you come in, it probably won't disrupt your schedule too badly to wait twenty
- 12:48four hours and go from there. No problem, they're at all Talking today
- 12:52with Alan Bredenbach. He is with QC Kinetics. You can, of course
- 12:56pick a phone, give him a call you're looking for. Of course,
- 12:58we were talking about regenerative medicine. If you've got that pain, knees hips,
- 13:03shoulder, back pain, pick up the phone, give them a call,
- 13:05get that free consultation six oh eight three one nine seventeen fifty. That's
- 13:09six oh eight three one nine seventeen fifty, which you you our conversation with
- 13:13Alan. Oh, they do more at QC can X. We're gonna get
- 13:16the details out. They're doing other great miraculous things for folks at QC can
- 13:20X. We'll do that next at Our conversation with Alan Brian Bach with QC
- 13:24Kinetics continues right here on thirteen ten dou Wui b a thirteen ten wui b
- 13:41A and ask the experts talking today with Alan briden Bock of QC Kinetics.
- 13:45Miss any part of the program, don't bring you can always listen back at
- 13:48WIVA dot com, also available on the iHeartRadio app. Talking about some of
- 13:52the great stuff they are doing a QC kinetics if you've got questions or of
- 13:56course you'd like to schedule that free consultation telephone number six oh eight three seventeen
- 14:01fifty. That's six so eight three one nine seventeen fifty. I ask you
- 14:03about that. That consultation as well, Alan is for a lot of folks
- 14:09like, Oh, I'm going to get in there and they're just gonna,
- 14:11you know, run me through the system. There's a reason, a really
- 14:13important reason for that those consultations, isn't there. Yeah. I think one
- 14:18of the biggest things that we try to emphasize is we know not everybody's eligible
- 14:22for care. So for example, people might have back pain that's being caused
- 14:26by a nerve issue. Well, that's something that regenerative medicine hasn't quite figured
- 14:30out yet. I hope we do, sure, But that's really a critical
- 14:33piece, Right, You're under the care of a doctor, You're under the
- 14:35care of a physician group that really cares about what you're doing and whether or
- 14:39not you're likely to have a good outcome. Because I'm not interested in treating
- 14:43somebody where you know, we may steer them a different way. We may
- 14:46say, hey, we've had some people come in who have a severely sprained
- 14:50ankle and we'll say, let's just be a little patient. Or we might
- 14:52have somebody who has a disk issue or a bone issue that we can't quite
- 14:56deal with, and we want to be very disciplined and saying here is your
- 15:00best course of action. It may be with us, it may not be,
- 15:03but if it is with us, we certainly are going to talk you
- 15:05through the pros and cons of what that might be. And that's one of
- 15:07the fantastic things about making that call six o' eight three one nine, seventeen
- 15:11fifteen, getting that free consultation to start that start that exploration. Is it
- 15:16right for you? Is it something that's going to be perfect for you?
- 15:18We all hope so, but again, you do never know until you make
- 15:22that call six oh eight three one nine, seventeen fifteen. We talk about
- 15:24regenerative medicine, those regenderate medicine protocols. There's other things that you guys are
- 15:30doing a QC kinetics that are that are vitally important and folks may not be
- 15:33aware of. First off, I hear the phrase low tea. Yes,
- 15:37what are we talking about with low T? Well, it's testosterone replacement therapy,
- 15:41okay, and you certainly see a lot of advertising for it. It's
- 15:45become very, very popular. I'm actually a patient for that as well,
- 15:48and I can't believe the difference it's made for me, Sean, I just
- 15:52started it three months ago. In the last three months, I've lost ten
- 15:56and a half pounds of fat, oh wow, four pounds of bustle,
- 16:00and I have actually taken a pound of fat off my mid section, that
- 16:03visceral fat that gets on your organs. A lot of times, I think
- 16:07people think about testosterone replacement around sexual function or sexual dysfunction. Really the difference
- 16:15is how you sleep, your mental clarity, your energy level, that three
- 16:18o'clock sort of crash that you have in the afternoon where you go and reach
- 16:22for you know, PENU, mine, MS or whatever your you know,
- 16:26vice might be. You're looking close at me. Well that's that was my
- 16:30personal one. There's no question about it. I can't believe the difference it
- 16:36has made for me. And we actually do some things that are unique in
- 16:38terms of reducing any of the potential side effects. Also making sure that you're
- 16:44under medical care so that you're not taking pills from a mall, you know,
- 16:48vitamin shop. You're not taking a prescription off the internet where you might
- 16:52talk to somebody on a video screen. We're you know, taking blood levels,
- 16:55We're looking at contraindicators. We're making sure that we dial in exactly what
- 17:00you need, not just what you know somebody says, hey, here you
- 17:03go. Because I think one of the things that can be very dangerous when
- 17:07you start playing with hormones is you can over or under and you can start
- 17:11getting into a whole situation that you just don't want. So we're really thrilled
- 17:15about it because one of the things that is interesting is low hormones can actually
- 17:19lead to some joint you know problem really and so there all these things kind
- 17:23of fit together in a very unique way, and so low T has really
- 17:26been an exciting part for us. You mentioned too, how how these things
- 17:30can all fit together. So I think that having the high standard as well,
- 17:33I think is something that obviously folks who have maybe you've known somebody that
- 17:37that's that's been to QC Kinetics or or heard others talking about it, is
- 17:41having that very high standard of care. And of course when you're applying these
- 17:45things, how you're applying and who when you mentioned, you know, literally
- 17:49having that that consultation, having that meeting face to face one on one of
- 17:53those meetings, how important that is. We talked today with Alan Bridenbach telphe
- 17:57Ouverer for QC Kinetics six eight three seventeen fifty. That's six eight three seventeen
- 18:03fifty. As a guy with no hair, I always go to the I
- 18:07always go to the go to the hair loss thing. And you guys can
- 18:11help folks with that, can't you. We do, And actually, surprisingly
- 18:18larger than fifty percent, more than fifty percent of our patients are actually women.
- 18:21We help a lot of women. We can do isolated treatments if you
- 18:23have kind of a spot that's thinning out that you're uncomfortable with, you know,
- 18:29if you're wearing a headband or a hat or having to comb your hair
- 18:30a certain way, we generally can help, and certainly we can help if
- 18:36you have a whole head that you want to do as well. But we
- 18:40also walk you through that to say what are the likely outcomes? Are you
- 18:41a good Canada? You know, what's the health of the hair follicle?
- 18:45Is it possible to regrow hair? Not everybody can, And we're going to
- 18:48have that conversation with you. But you know, I make the running joke
- 18:52that for the most part, if if you're a viable Canadate, we can
- 18:55grow grass on a rock, well we know how to do it. This
- 18:57is pretty dense. We may have to talk. We'll have to talk about
- 19:00that. And then one other thing is you mentioned with with low T and
- 19:06the treatment there a weight loss and as a society we are we're not good.
- 19:11And I'll point to figure out myself as well about about doing good things
- 19:15for ourselves, and we think about carrying around those extra pounds. You guys
- 19:18are able to help folks with weight, aren't you. I couldn't be more
- 19:22excited about this part of our treatment because it helps everybody. We certainly see
- 19:27all the things out there. We know the brand names Ozepic is one of
- 19:30the ones that gets talked about, Njaro and others. There. Again,
- 19:34we try to dial in exactly what's best for you and think about the combination.
- 19:37For every pound that you take off, that's four less pounds of pressure
- 19:41on your joints, and so in combination, these things can be spectacular for
- 19:45people. But the problem with them again is you know, these are a
- 19:49medical treatment. This isn't something that people should just buy over the internet or
- 19:52just go into, you know, a place that might do facial threading or
- 19:59other things. You know, you want to get under the care of a
- 20:00doctor and you want to be able to have ongoing support and maintenance as you
- 20:04go through this, and we continue to check in. We actually have an
- 20:07app. We work with you to make sure that you're tracking well, and
- 20:11we work with you in terms of your biology to make sure that this is
- 20:15the right mixture, if you will, for you, so we do things
- 20:18that can reduce any potential side effects. We slowly ramp up your levels in
- 20:22it to make sure that you're tolerating the drug well. And everybody's a little
- 20:26bit different again as you do it, and so you have to have that
