- 0:00Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 0:03Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 0:23Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 0:28Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 0:31Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 0:35Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 0:39Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 0:43Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home

- 1:00Speaker 3: You know, people come to me all the time now
- 1:02Speaker 3: and say, you know, I want to start not for
- 1:03Speaker 3: profit organization. They want me to help them do that.
- 1:06Speaker 3: I really challenge them, like, is that what's missing? In
- 1:11Speaker 3: our community, like we don't have enough not for profits,
- 1:14Speaker 3: we don't have enough charitable organizations?
- 1:16Speaker 2: Is that?
- 1:16Speaker 3: Is that really? Where the where the lack is? People say, oh,
- 1:20Speaker 3: I want to go to law school. You know you
- 1:22Speaker 3: went to the law school. I want to go to
- 1:23Speaker 3: law school. I'm like, really, really is that?
- 1:26Speaker 2: Is that?
- 1:26Speaker 3: Is that what you think? We don't have enough? We
- 1:28Speaker 3: don't have enough lawyers. You know, we've had lawyers going
- 1:33Speaker 3: back to Thirdgod Marshall, We've had lawyers. You know, we
- 1:36Speaker 3: had not for profits. I mean it's it's it's good
- 1:40Speaker 3: maybe for your first five or six years out of
- 1:42Speaker 3: school just to kind of like give back and be grounded.
- 1:46Speaker 3: But what we don't have is enough people who understand
- 1:49Speaker 3: financing technology. If you look at how power functions, there's
- 1:55Speaker 3: four corners of power in this country is Washington, d C. Politics,
- 1:59Speaker 3: but lawyers there. I know that world. I come out
- 2:02Speaker 3: of that world. But that's one corner New York City
- 2:08Speaker 3: where we're sitting right now Wall Street finance. I don't
- 2:12Speaker 3: see how many black people doing that. And so automatically
- 2:15Speaker 3: you know something is wrong because here we have all
- 2:18Speaker 3: these black people in politics, public affairs, lawyers, senators Congress people.
- 2:22Speaker 3: We've got a black vice president, we got two black senators.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Of the top ten cities in America, seven have black mayors.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Keem Jeffery is about to run all Democrats in the House.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I mean, we got a lot of black people in politics,
- 2:36Speaker 3: public service, not for profit law degreees. But you get
- 2:39Speaker 3: in the train from DC and come up here to
- 2:41Speaker 3: New York and go to Wall Street. You don't see
- 2:43Speaker 3: as many black folks up here. Wait a minute, that's
- 2:46Speaker 3: a problem. Then you hop on an airplane, go from
- 2:49Speaker 3: New York City JFK Land in the Bay Area SFO.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Now you're in Silicon Valley technology. Very few of us
- 3:00Speaker 3: in that world. Hold on, a second trillion dollar industry
- 3:05Speaker 3: is being launched, biotech, h ai quantum computing. Uh, very
- 3:13Speaker 3: few of us there. Then if you leave SFO, pop
- 3:18Speaker 3: down at lax in La Hollywood. Okay, we have a
- 3:22Speaker 3: lot of stars, but we don't own the studios. You
- 3:25Speaker 3: have very few Tyler Perry's, very few oprahs. So if
- 3:29Speaker 3: you're trying to play a four corner game of power,
- 3:32Speaker 3: and all we have is a bunch of lawyers in
- 3:34Speaker 3: the politics corner, but we don't have power in the
- 3:37Speaker 3: finance corner, the technology corner, and the media ownership corner. Then,
- 3:41Speaker 3: no matter how well we play the game, we're probably
- 3:43Speaker 3: going to lose more than we win.
- 3:44Speaker 4: So it's media, finance, tech and politics politics corner.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Sure, And you just see it on the map. DC
- 3:52Speaker 3: is politics, New York is finance, Bay Area is technology,
- 3:57Speaker 3: and LA is media ownership. And most black folks are
- 4:03Speaker 3: in politics and entertainment. But we don't own Prince. He's
- 4:11Speaker 3: always told me, Van, you're on CNN. You don't own CNN.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I'm not impressed.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Right.
- 4:17Speaker 3: That was help prints would talk to us. That's how
- 4:18Speaker 3: friends would talk to each other. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 4:21Speaker 3: So yeah, so you asked a question about it. What
- 4:24Speaker 3: I would say is I think it's time for us
- 4:26Speaker 3: to start using business. It's time for us to start
- 4:29Speaker 3: using investment. It's time for us to start using the
- 4:32Speaker 3: power of the market to uplift our community as our
- 4:35Speaker 3: primary strategy, and then use not for profits as a
- 4:37Speaker 3: secondary strategy. We've been in reverse. We've been primarily trying
- 4:41Speaker 3: to go to politics, protests not for profits to fix everything.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Other communities they don't do that. Other communities they have
- 4:47Speaker 3: businesses and they have a lobbyist to go to the
- 4:49Speaker 3: government to help their businesses. We mostly have a bunch
- 4:52Speaker 3: of lobbyists with no business to help. It's not going
- 4:54Speaker 3: to work.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Talking to somebody, I think he's from Congo, but he
- 4:58Speaker 4: was talking about the whole continent of Africa and he
- 5:00Speaker 4: was saying that charity is not going to solve Africa's problems.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:06Speaker 4: Part, billions of dollars has gone into charity and it's
- 5:10Speaker 4: not doing anything. The only real infrastructure erners.
- 5:14Speaker 5: What's up. You ever walk into a small business and

- 7:04Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 7:08Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 7:12Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 7:16Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 7:20Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 7:24Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 7:27Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 7:32Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 7:36Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 7:39Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly
- 7:43Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported. You will

- 7:51Speaker 1: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws
- 8:00Speaker 1: order and families will.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Be protected, sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 8:04Speaker 4: And business is going to change the things because he's
- 8:07Speaker 4: like the politicians. They can't get it right. It's gonna
- 8:10Speaker 4: get mismanaged anyway. And when he when he explained it
- 8:14Speaker 4: to me, it was it made a lot of sense.
- 8:16Speaker 4: And I kind of see the same thing in America, right,
- 8:20Speaker 4: And that's why we started our platform because, like you said,
- 8:23Speaker 4: I mean, it's not changing anything to have lawyers. It's
- 8:27Speaker 4: good to have it, it's good to have social programs,
- 8:30Speaker 4: but ultimately it just kind of keeps you at the
- 8:33Speaker 4: same level that you're at.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Look, everybody needs to vote. I'm not saying anything negative
- 8:38Speaker 3: about that, but the ballot box is not where you
- 8:40Speaker 3: can get what you want. The ballot boxes where you
- 8:43Speaker 3: can lose what you've got. So if you don't show up,
- 8:46Speaker 3: you can lose what you've got. So we have to
- 8:48Speaker 3: vote defensively to make sure they don't take more rights
- 8:51Speaker 3: from us, take more stuff from us. But your that's
- 8:54Speaker 3: your defensive strategy. Your offensive strategy has to be what
- 8:57Speaker 3: part of this economy do we want to own and control?
- 9:02Speaker 3: And you know, part of with the reason I wound
- 9:05Speaker 3: up getting that big grant from Jeff Bezos has to
- 9:08Speaker 3: do with me trying to figure that out. And it's
- 9:12Speaker 3: amazing how one thing will lead to another thing. So
- 9:16Speaker 3: I was trying to be a do gooder, you know,
- 9:19Speaker 3: trying to help people who don't have anything in our community.
- 9:23Speaker 3: And you meet people, you know, people who see you
- 9:28Speaker 3: on TV or they hear about your work you're doing,
- 9:30Speaker 3: and they want to come, they want to help. And
- 9:32Speaker 3: a lot of times people have they have money, you know,
- 9:35Speaker 3: they're they're wealthy people. So Felicia Horowitz, who's an African
- 9:39Speaker 3: American woman exactly married to Ben Horowitz, the recent Horwitz
- 9:44Speaker 3: is like the big the biggest investment firma in Silicon Valley,
- 9:48Speaker 3: the biggest investors in technology, the most successful in technology. Well,
- 9:51Speaker 3: you know, this is a Jewish guide with a black wife.
- 9:54Speaker 3: So these they understand oppression, they understand what's going on.
- 9:57Speaker 3: And so Felicia Horowitz had to ask her mission to
- 10:01Speaker 3: try to get more of us involved what's going on
- 10:04Speaker 3: in Silicon Valley and we're right there in California not
- 10:07Speaker 3: not really noticing what was going on. So she's mc
- 10:09Speaker 3: hammer and NAS and myself and other people. She would
- 10:13Speaker 3: bring over to the house and try to give us game,
- 10:16Speaker 3: and Ben would try to give us game. And you know,
- 10:18Speaker 3: we were very hardheaded because you know, it's like, well,
- 10:22Speaker 3: I'm successful, I mean, and she's like, no, you don't
- 10:25Speaker 3: understand anything about what's going on in this state. And
- 10:30Speaker 3: so over time I started realizing, wait a minute, like
- 10:34Speaker 3: we're we're sitting here in California. We're billions of dollars
- 10:37Speaker 3: of being the main technology. We're not uploading apps, we're
- 10:41Speaker 3: downloading apps. When you're downloading the app, that means when
- 10:44Speaker 3: you move your thumbs around, you're making money for somebody else.
- 10:47Speaker 3: It's when you upload a app and somebody uses the
- 10:50Speaker 3: app you uploaded, that's when you make money. Black people
- 10:53Speaker 3: moving that thumbs around making money for somebody else. That
- 10:54Speaker 3: used to be called picking cotton. Okay, so we're like
- 10:57Speaker 3: a bunch of digital cotton pickers out here, downloading other
- 11:00Speaker 3: people stuff making money for them. And so I said, okay,
- 11:03Speaker 3: I need to do something different. And then she introduced
- 11:06Speaker 3: me to the people who run the Sun Valley Conference
- 11:09Speaker 3: and they invited me there, and that's where all the
- 11:11Speaker 3: billionaires go once a year to talk and do deals
- 11:14Speaker 3: and stuff. So I show up there with my eyeballs
- 11:18Speaker 3: like about to fall out of my head because you know,
- 11:22Speaker 3: there's Zuckerberg right there, there's you know, all these names
- 11:25Speaker 3: that you've heard of, and they're just walking around, no staff,
- 11:28Speaker 3: you know, just talking to each other, eating meals, and
- 11:32Speaker 3: you start to realize, hold on a second, this is
- 11:35Speaker 3: the whole community of people that are billionaires. It's not
- 11:39Speaker 3: like one billionaire over there and one billionaire over here.
- 11:41Speaker 3: They know each other, they speak the same language, their
- 11:44Speaker 3: kids go to the same schools, and there's very few
- 11:47Speaker 3: of us that participated at that level. And so I realized, Man,
- 11:50Speaker 3: Felicia's really changing things by just even just the exposure.
- 11:56Speaker 3: But then, you know, I would come out of it
- 11:58Speaker 3: and I would feel depressed because like, I don't know
- 12:02Speaker 3: how this world works, and you know, what am I
- 12:06Speaker 3: supposed to do and how is it supposed to and
- 12:08Speaker 3: so you have to go through that whole period just
- 12:09Speaker 3: feeling disoriented and almost like a big dummy, like I
- 12:14Speaker 3: spent my whole life out here, like it's like the matrix.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 12:21Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
