Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York.
- 0:03Speaker 2: It's the markim Own Show on seven tenor.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Hey, another summer day to day. It's gonna be beautiful outside.
- 0:13Speaker 3: It already is beautiful outside. We've got a lot to
- 0:15Speaker 3: get to. Is that Mets curse really over?
- 0:18Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 0:18Speaker 3: We'll take a look at that. We'll get to President Trump,
- 0:21Speaker 3: We'll get to Iran, We'll get to jerry mandering, we'll
- 0:24Speaker 3: get to the White House correspondence dinner, We'll get to
- 0:27Speaker 3: the Southern Poverty Law Center, Propaganda Center, and a whole
- 0:32Speaker 3: lot more coming up. Now, if you hear any noise
- 0:35Speaker 3: during the show, it's bring your kids to work day.
- 0:40Speaker 3: These little monster These kids are all over the hallways,
- 0:45Speaker 3: running around, sometimes getting a little loud, so you might
- 0:47Speaker 3: hear some noise here and there. I guess it's bring
- 0:49Speaker 3: your kids to work day everywhere. And is it all
- 0:55Speaker 3: day the whole Yeah, And I saw that, Yeah, I
- 0:59Speaker 3: saw that memos like eleven to two or something. It's
- 1:01Speaker 3: not even anywhere near eleven, and they're already all here.
- 1:04Speaker 3: But and normally we have all these buffets outside. There's
- 1:10Speaker 3: the Q one O four buffet, there's the Elvis Duran buffet.
- 1:13Speaker 3: There's the Charlemagne buffet. They're all I noticed. There's no
- 1:15Speaker 3: food anywhere in this floor right now? Is that because
- 1:18Speaker 3: these little kids will eat it all up in a second.
- 1:20Speaker 3: It wouldn't last two seconds. Elvis is celebrating thirty years
- 1:27Speaker 3: on the air, oh, thirty years of the Morning Show.
- 1:29Speaker 3: But before that, of course he was a big gazy
- 1:32Speaker 3: one hundred figure and thirty years on the Morning Show.
- 1:36Speaker 3: And of course you got Jim Kurr down the hall
- 1:39Speaker 3: fifty years and all this stuff going on. So let's
- 1:44Speaker 3: get to everything going on in the world. Let's just
- 1:47Speaker 3: quickly run down and ran two. We like to instead
- 1:50Speaker 3: of you having to read a million articles watch a
- 1:53Speaker 3: thousand shows, we just boil it all down, give you
- 1:55Speaker 3: exactly what you need to know with some inside stuff
- 1:58Speaker 3: thrown in. Save you a lot of time listening to
- 2:01Speaker 3: this show. So right now, the Strait of Hormoose is
- 2:05Speaker 3: under our control, despite what Iran says we're controlling the
- 2:09Speaker 3: Strait of Hormose. Iran is putting out videos pretending that
- 2:12Speaker 3: they have some authority in the strait, showing them attacking
- 2:16Speaker 3: a couple of boats. They were little, tiny boats, not
- 2:19Speaker 3: our boats. One was, I don't know they were from
- 2:21Speaker 3: two little obscure boats were in the Strait and Iran
- 2:25Speaker 3: attacked them, were not able to do much to them.
- 2:29Speaker 3: They put out these videos trying to look like ferocious,
- 2:33Speaker 3: like the most incredible military operation, showing them boarding the ship,
- 2:38Speaker 3: but you'll see them online the worst videos you've ever seen.
- 2:43Speaker 3: The couple of Iranians trying to board the ship, throw
- 2:46Speaker 3: a ladder up, it's like a rope ladder, and try
- 2:49Speaker 3: to climb up on this rope ladder that looks like
- 2:52Speaker 3: a bunch of kids made it. And they have these
- 2:54Speaker 3: uniforms with these masks, look like they're cheap, little Halloween
- 2:58Speaker 3: costume military. So it's quite pathetic. Actually, do you see
- 3:03Speaker 3: the video that we put out when we took that
- 3:05Speaker 3: tanker the other day, first missile we fired went right
- 3:09Speaker 3: through the engine, completely disabling the ship. Helicopters over the
- 3:13Speaker 3: ship are marines and seals repelled down out of the
- 3:17Speaker 3: deck of the ship. The entire deck of the entire
- 3:20Speaker 3: ships US military standing under was much more impressive. Who's
- 3:23Speaker 3: actually running this The commander right now, his name as Vahidi,
- 3:31Speaker 3: and he's a bad guy. He's you know, when we
- 3:33Speaker 3: began the war. We took out the top forty one
- 3:37Speaker 3: leaders of Iran all at once. We were having a meeting.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Didn't think we'd know about it. We blew them all
- 3:45Speaker 3: up in one second. The whole leadership of rand blown
- 3:48Speaker 3: up the first day, forty one of them, and that
- 3:51Speaker 3: included the leaders of the awful Revolutionary Guard. So down
- 3:57Speaker 3: the totem pole, about six levels down is this guy,
- 4:00Speaker 3: General Ahmad Vahiti. He's sixty seven years old, so he
- 4:03Speaker 3: is now the highest ranking member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard,
- 4:08Speaker 3: the IRGC. He has taken control of the country because
- 4:12Speaker 3: he has control of all the military, not the military,
- 4:15Speaker 3: but the Republican Guard and the weapons. So he's in control.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Even the political leadership can't really do much about him.
- 4:22Speaker 3: He's a real extremist, crazy terrorist radical. Remember Solomoni who
- 4:27Speaker 3: we took out. This was his partner and all that stuff,
- 4:31Speaker 3: the terrorism around the world. So he's basically in charge
- 4:33Speaker 3: right now. It's just a matter of time before he's killed.
- 4:38Speaker 3: I imagine he's staying way underground and bunkers that sort of stuff.
- 4:42Speaker 3: But at some point you're going to wake up one
- 4:44Speaker 3: morning and find out we killed him. Very very bad guy.
- 4:48Speaker 3: The talks continue. I don't know what will happen with them.
- 4:51Speaker 3: We've taken out the entire Iranian navy that was one
- 4:55Speaker 3: hundred and fifty nine ships. The whole navy is gone.
- 4:58Speaker 3: They do not have a navy. They got these little
- 5:01Speaker 3: tiny boats. We call them mosquito boats because they're very
- 5:04Speaker 3: tiny and annoying. They're little speed boats and they're equipped
- 5:08Speaker 3: with bombs and explosives and that sort of stuff. Some
- 5:11Speaker 3: with rocket launchers, some with just TNT dynamite on them,
- 5:17Speaker 3: and they all up and down the coast. They're hidden,
- 5:21Speaker 3: they're hidden in caves, they're hidden in little places like that.
- 5:25Speaker 3: It's believed there could be as much as fifteen hundred
- 5:27Speaker 3: of them, but let's say there's a thousand of them.
- 5:30Speaker 3: US Navy right now. Anytime they see anything like that,
- 5:33Speaker 3: they just blow it up instantly, So anyone that appears
- 5:36Speaker 3: out of a cave or off the shore immediately immediately
- 5:40Speaker 3: blown up. Now they're little. They call them mosquito boats
- 5:43Speaker 3: because they're like mosquitoes. They can't really hurt you, but
- 5:45Speaker 3: they're quite annoying and they pinch you here and there.
- 5:49Speaker 3: But it's enough for the insurance companies to not allow
- 5:55Speaker 3: the tankers to go. We could allow tankers to take
- 5:57Speaker 3: oil and move back and forth in the Strait, but
- 6:00Speaker 3: they have to have insurance, and the main insurance Lloyd's
- 6:02Speaker 3: in London. So right now Lloyd's of London will not
- 6:05Speaker 3: ensure any of the tankers because of these little mosquito boats.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Even if they don't do much, and even if they
- 6:10Speaker 3: just you know, send a little explosive at the side
- 6:15Speaker 3: of your ship, it's enough to the insurance company doesn't
- 6:18Speaker 3: want have to pay for it. You know, you get
- 6:19Speaker 3: a bill for a million to fix it, and they
- 6:22Speaker 3: don't want to do that. So but otherwise we have
- 6:25Speaker 3: total control of the Straight of hornm Moose. The US
- 6:27Speaker 3: Navy is blockading it. As long as it's blockaded, Iran's
- 6:32Speaker 3: economy has absolutely stopped. They have no economy. All their
- 6:36Speaker 3: revenue comes from the Straight of Hormoose five hundred million
- 6:39Speaker 3: a day, about thirteen fifteen, about fifteen billion a month.
- 6:44Speaker 3: They got enough money in reserve to go for another
- 6:48Speaker 3: few weeks. Some think of maybe a month or two,
- 6:51Speaker 3: and then they're completely out of cash. So you'll see
- 6:54Speaker 3: now this whole Iran thing, Hey, it's a hell of
- 6:57Speaker 3: a gamble. Now, you gotta remember, forget all the democratic propaganda,
- 7:02Speaker 3: forget the fake news propaganda. The truth is an Iran.
- 7:06Speaker 3: What we're doing there is what everybody on every side
- 7:10Speaker 3: of the aisle, every president ever in the last forty
- 7:12Speaker 3: five years. It's what everybody wanted. But the reason nobody
- 7:18Speaker 3: did it. It's a hell of a gamble trying to
- 7:20Speaker 3: pull it off. But you got Donald Trump, who's a
- 7:24Speaker 3: business guy, and business guy billionaire entrepreneurs are risk takers.
- 7:28Speaker 3: They'll take those kind of gambles, where as a professional
- 7:31Speaker 3: politician won't do it. So we'll see. You got to
- 7:35Speaker 3: figure in the end it'll pay off. I mean, they
- 7:37Speaker 3: really have no cards left. They got these little, tiny
- 7:40Speaker 3: mosquito boats and that's about it. If they had any
- 7:44Speaker 3: big secret, something that could unleash on us, you would
- 7:47Speaker 3: have seen it already. So hey, the other thing people
- 7:52Speaker 3: are talking about is the jerry mandering. Democrats have been
- 7:55Speaker 3: successful in a couple of places, Texas and now Virginia
- 7:58Speaker 3: with that jerry mandering. Republicans do the same thing. So
- 8:03Speaker 3: the focus now on Florida and they may just jerry
- 8:08Speaker 3: mander a little there, wipe out some Democratic seats in Florida.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Republicans have total control of the government in Florida. So
- 8:15Speaker 3: Hakeem Jeffries, the low IQ, goofy leader of the House Democrats,
- 8:21Speaker 3: Hakim Jeffries is threatening Florida.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Or message to Florida Republicans is f around and find
- 8:28Speaker 4: out if they go down the road of a DeSantis
- 8:31Speaker 4: dummy mander, the Florida Republicans are gonna find themselves in
- 8:35Speaker 4: the same situation as Texas Republicans who are on the
- 8:40Speaker 4: run right now and under no circumstances. Are Texas Republicans
- 8:44Speaker 4: picking up five seats, they'll be fortunate if they get
- 8:48Speaker 4: two or three.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Yeah, he's not good at sounding tough. When you talk
- 8:54Speaker 3: like this, when you sound like a robot and your
- 8:57Speaker 3: voice cracks, it's hard to sound tough. But they wrote
- 9:00Speaker 3: him up some lines instead of Jerry Manner. He says
- 9:03Speaker 3: dummy managering. That's supposed to be good and f around
- 9:05Speaker 3: and find out that's a Trump expression or Republican expression.
- 9:09Speaker 3: So he's using that now. Is Florida afraid of Jeffreys
- 9:14Speaker 3: coming down there? Jeffrey says he'll come down there and
- 9:16Speaker 3: try to Jerry Manner. Well, is Florida fraid. Here's Ron DeSantis.
- 9:21Speaker 5: Oh Florida, can you do? We're gonna go after Florida.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Please be my guest. I will pay for you to
- 9:26Speaker 5: come down to Florida and campaign. I'll put you up
- 9:29Speaker 5: in the Florida Governor's mansion. We'll take you fishing, We'll
- 9:33Speaker 5: do all this stuff. There's nothing that could be better
- 9:36Speaker 5: for Republicans in Florida than to see Jeffries, Hakeem Jeffries
- 9:42Speaker 5: everywhere around this state. I kind of feel bad for
- 9:45Speaker 5: the guy because he's as left as they come. He's
- 9:48Speaker 5: always going left, and yet the far left hates him.
- 9:51Speaker 5: You know, they call him a dollar store Obama, they
- 9:54Speaker 5: call him apac secure, all these different derogatory names that
- 9:58Speaker 5: they do, and so he's trying to ingratiate himself with
- 10:01Speaker 5: their but they're just not drinking the kool aid.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Yeah. So, now, Ron DeSantis doesn't always sound that snappy.
- 10:08Speaker 3: He's not the greatest talker, but when it comes to
- 10:11Speaker 3: Hakeem Jefferies, that's an easy target. So don't worry about Florida. Now,
- 10:17Speaker 3: just a note for the the jentas of mar A Lago.
- 10:21Speaker 3: You know, if you go to mar A Lago, this ballroom.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Every weekends, these old ladies all dressed up. Are you
- 10:26Speaker 3: that crowd? They're very upset. I forget what was three
- 10:31Speaker 3: weeks Three weeks ago, something was going on. The President
- 10:33Speaker 3: had to remain in Washington, so there's not much going
- 10:36Speaker 3: on during the weekend Palm Beach. But on the weekend
- 10:39Speaker 3: they're all at mar Alago waiting for Trump to be
- 10:41Speaker 3: there a Friday night and all day Saturday and Sunday,
- 10:43Speaker 3: and they all chase him around the room. And then
- 10:46Speaker 3: last weekend he was not there. So something big last
- 10:50Speaker 3: weekend he couldn't be there. This weekend coming up, it's
- 10:54Speaker 3: the White House Correspondence Dinner and for the first time
- 10:57Speaker 3: ever as president, President Trump go to the correspondence dinner.
- 11:01Speaker 3: So that's three weeks of no Trump at Mar a
- 11:06Speaker 3: Lago three weeks now and those old ladies getting very upset. Now,
- 11:12Speaker 3: when is Mother's Day? Is that in two weeks or
- 11:14Speaker 3: three weeks? Marlago closes on Mother's Day, closes for the
- 11:18Speaker 3: year because you can't be in Palm Beach in the summer.
- 11:21Speaker 3: It's just too hot. So it closes. Mother's Day reopens
- 11:24Speaker 3: around Halloween. So just a warning those oldientas from mar Laga.
- 11:30Speaker 3: They all come up here for the summer, so starting
- 11:34Speaker 3: the middle of May, you're going to see it. They'll
- 11:35Speaker 3: all be back clogging up all our restaurants here. Now
- 11:38Speaker 3: the White House Correspondence dinner, they've canceled the comedian this year.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Usually they have a comedian. It's always a left wing
- 11:47Speaker 3: John Stewart. Who's that the idiot they have on the
- 11:49Speaker 3: week at John Oliver kind of a you know, partisan,
- 11:54Speaker 3: a ridiculously partisan comedian who only attacks one set. It
- 11:57Speaker 3: wasn't always that way. Years ago, it was balanced. They'd
- 12:00Speaker 3: have like a Jay Leno did it, they do both sides.
- 12:04Speaker 3: But then they went totally partisan once Trump came. And
- 12:08Speaker 3: because of that, because it was so partisan, so over
- 12:10Speaker 3: the top Trump derangement syndrome, Trump wouldn't go as president.
- 12:14Speaker 3: I don't blame him, but he's gonna go this year,
- 12:17Speaker 3: and a deal has been made. There'll be no left wing, angry,
- 12:21Speaker 3: hate filled, left wing comedian. The big star act will
- 12:24Speaker 3: be a mentalist Oz. He's very good, very good. He
- 12:30Speaker 3: really gets standing ovations. But this is the worst audience
- 12:35Speaker 3: in the world. It's all the fake news, it's the
- 12:37Speaker 3: White House Correspondence, it's all the MSNBC, CNN types. You know,
- 12:43Speaker 3: they're just so it filled with hate and jaded, and
- 12:45Speaker 3: they're not kind of pay any attention to Oz. Now,
- 12:48Speaker 3: President Trump will then speak. Now, he's the best roaster
- 12:53Speaker 3: ever in politics. He's a professionally trained roaster. You know,
- 12:59Speaker 3: everybody's been to a roaster too, but he I remember
- 13:02Speaker 3: him and I'd say twenty five now more than a
- 13:04Speaker 3: thirty five forty friars roast. Those are the most that's
- 13:08Speaker 3: the major league of roasting. He was brilliant in those.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Then he was in those Comedy Central roasts, the Al
- 13:14Speaker 3: Smith dinner, which is a very very formal, fancy white
- 13:19Speaker 3: tie and tales kind of but in November he was there.
- 13:22Speaker 3: It's really kind of a roast. He got up and
- 13:24Speaker 3: he just tore apart everybody in the room. It was hysterical.
- 13:28Speaker 3: It was funny. Even Democrats had to laugh, it was
- 13:31Speaker 3: so funny. So he's a great roaster. So he will
- 13:33Speaker 3: go after all of these fake news figures in the room. Now,
- 13:39Speaker 3: there's a letter that's been signed by two hundred and
- 13:42Speaker 3: fifty journalists, as they call themselves, Dan Rather and all
- 13:47Speaker 3: the old guys of Sam Donaldson. They've all signed it
- 13:50Speaker 3: that we must forcibly oppose him at the dinner. I
- 13:54Speaker 3: don't know what that means, forcibly opposed him. I don't
- 13:58Speaker 3: think they mean physically. I think they mean boo or
- 14:02Speaker 3: scream or heck or something like that. Bill O'Reilly, I
- 14:05Speaker 3: remember he was on the show yesterday or Tuesday. He
- 14:08Speaker 3: said he's going down there and he'll be the bouncer.
- 14:10Speaker 3: If anybody starts any trouble, don't laugh. Bill O'Reilly used
- 14:15Speaker 3: to be a professional bouncer. He was a real bouncer
- 14:19Speaker 3: at some pretty tough places as a remember the wreck Bar.
- 14:24Speaker 3: At the wreck Bar in Miami way back when was
- 14:28Speaker 3: like the how do you describe it? It was a rough,
- 14:33Speaker 3: rough club. It was like a very hot club, but
- 14:35Speaker 3: it was actually owned by the mob. But he he
- 14:39Speaker 3: was the bouncer there. So and Jimmy Kimmel has been
- 14:43Speaker 3: behind the scenes begging to be the comedian at this
- 14:46Speaker 3: year's White House Correspondence dinner. They want nothing to do
- 14:48Speaker 3: with Jimmy Kimmel. Kimmel arguing that him and Trump in
- 14:52Speaker 3: the same room would be the biggest ratings thing in
- 14:54Speaker 3: the world. But it's not about Ray. This is not
- 14:56Speaker 3: a TV show. It's a gala for the been doing
- 15:00Speaker 3: it for years. They do run it on the c
- 15:03Speaker 3: Span and in the last few years, Fox and other
- 15:06Speaker 3: cable networks would show it. But it's not a They
- 15:08Speaker 3: don't care about ratings, so there's no Kimmel. It's a
- 15:11Speaker 3: big event. All week they have a big events. It's
- 15:15Speaker 3: like the Oscars or the Grammys. The week leading up
- 15:17Speaker 3: to it, there's a million parties, so they're already all
- 15:20Speaker 3: in DC going to these parties. Last night was the
- 15:22Speaker 3: French Embassy, these black tie parties, all these daytime lunches,
- 15:27Speaker 3: and so it'll be this Saturday. It should be pretty explosive.
- 15:31Speaker 3: So we got a lot to get to today. Hey,
- 15:34Speaker 3: the Mets curse. Some think it's over it because they
- 15:37Speaker 3: won last night. Although they won the game, but they
- 15:43Speaker 3: had a player, an important player, seriously injured. He'll be
- 15:46Speaker 3: out for a while, So I don't know. Is that
- 15:47Speaker 3: still the curse could be. And let's say they now
- 15:51Speaker 3: start losing another couple of games. You know, before the
- 15:56Speaker 3: Mom Donnie Mister Met incident, they were they won seven
- 16:01Speaker 3: out of eleven. Now let's say this period they win
- 16:05Speaker 3: one out of eighteen. That's that sounds like the curse
- 16:07Speaker 3: is still there, so we'll see. We'll take some calls
- 16:11Speaker 3: in a minute. Eight hundred three to two one zero
- 16:14Speaker 3: seven ten is the number? Eight hundred three two one
- 16:18Speaker 3: zero seven ten.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Give WR A bri said on the iHeartRadio app to
- 16:24Speaker 2: hear Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in an instance.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Now back to the Mark Simon show on WR.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Hey, look at that this open lines. I've never seen
- 16:37Speaker 3: that before. It's like three open lines, eight hundred If
- 16:42Speaker 3: you want to call us eight hundred three two one
- 16:45Speaker 3: zero seven ten, eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Let's go to Andy in New Jersey. Andy, how you doing.
- 16:54Speaker 6: Hey, Mark? Our armed forces have very sophisticated helicopter gunships.
- 17:00Speaker 6: Why doesn't one of these escort every vessel that we
- 17:03Speaker 6: want to get through the strait of her moves? And
- 17:04Speaker 6: if a mosquito boat starts approaching, they can blow them
- 17:07Speaker 6: out of the water before they can get close enough
- 17:09Speaker 6: to do any harm.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Oh, we're already, We're already doing that. We have everything
- 17:13Speaker 3: we need. Anytime a mosquito boat shows up, we just
- 17:16Speaker 3: blow it out of the water. However, the insurance company
- 17:20Speaker 3: still won't insure the ship when that stuff is going on.
- 17:24Speaker 3: So okay, thanks, yeah, I mean, right now, we could
- 17:28Speaker 3: have tankers moving through the strait. We'll just blow up
- 17:30Speaker 3: any mosquito boat that comes near it. But they won't
- 17:32Speaker 3: move without the insurance, and I don't blame them. It's
- 17:35Speaker 3: millions and millions and millions of the cost of the tanker,
- 17:39Speaker 3: the cost of the oil on it. So it's millions
- 17:41Speaker 3: of dollars. If they don't have the insurance, they're not moving.
- 17:44Speaker 3: So right now, it's Alloyd's a London problem. Let's go
- 17:47Speaker 3: to uh Carl in Sayerville, New Jersey. Carl, how you
- 17:51Speaker 3: doing fine?
- 17:52Speaker 7: How are you Mark? You know, it's just selection that
- 17:55Speaker 7: they had in Virginias today. I heard they were going
- 17:57Speaker 7: to have a problem with the maybe the state Supreme
- 18:01Speaker 7: Court going ahead with this. There was some kind of
- 18:05Speaker 7: discussion about that. Is that true? Do you know?
- 18:08Speaker 3: Yeah, But don't worry about don't worry about Virginia. It was.
- 18:12Speaker 3: I mean, the real problem it's not that there's a
- 18:15Speaker 3: sentiment towards the public. Sentiment is now for the Democrats.
- 18:20Speaker 3: That's not the case. If you look at that race.
- 18:23Speaker 3: The Republicans are unorganized down there, there's no machine there's
- 18:27Speaker 3: no party. There was no turnout on the Republican side.
- 18:30Speaker 3: One thing, the same thing in New York. You see
- 18:32Speaker 3: that a lot, and you've seen that in other races,
- 18:35Speaker 3: either that Florida race, that Palm Beach race where the
- 18:38Speaker 3: Democrat won, there was no turnout on the Republican side.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Problem is Democrats are at war, and they're organized, and
- 18:45Speaker 3: they're at war, and it's like there's a vote even
- 18:48Speaker 3: for a little assemblies whatever it is. The Democrats can
- 18:52Speaker 3: get people to the polls like crazy, and Republicans aren't organized,
- 18:56Speaker 3: they don't do the problem is Democrats they got nothing
- 18:59Speaker 3: to do all they're marching in no King's marches. They're
- 19:03Speaker 3: out there throwing things at ice. You know, they're organized,
- 19:05Speaker 3: they're ready to go. Republicans are all busy. They got
- 19:08Speaker 3: the job, they got a family, they're going to work,
- 19:11Speaker 3: they're going to They're busy. They don't have time for
- 19:13Speaker 3: all this. So I don't know what you do about that.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Let's go to hal in Freeport. Hell, how you doing?
- 19:19Speaker 8: Hi?
- 19:19Speaker 3: Hey?
- 19:20Speaker 8: You doing? They were talking this morning about public urination.
- 19:25Speaker 3: I was talking about public urination.
- 19:27Speaker 8: Well, you know, when you gotta go, you gotta go.
- 19:30Speaker 8: But what they should. Who was on the radio on
- 19:34Speaker 8: your station earlier this.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Morning, Curtis So He actually said, going into the break
- 19:39Speaker 3: coming up next public aronation.
- 19:42Speaker 8: Well that's what they're talking about. Anyway. I'm going to
- 19:45Speaker 8: solve the problem. All these bikes on the sidewalks that
- 19:48Speaker 8: are riding around.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I left.
- 19:53Speaker 8: Oh okay, these bikes that are riding on the sidewalks.
- 19:57Speaker 8: Impound them, strap them to a call ahead on wheels,
- 20:02Speaker 8: the call ahead parties and you hail, hail, hail a party, right,
- 20:09Speaker 8: and you charge.
- 20:10Speaker 3: What the hell's this guy talking about? What's a call ahead?
- 20:13Speaker 8: Call ahead? You know, hail ahead?
- 20:16Speaker 3: What's a hail ahead?
- 20:17Speaker 8: The woman's gotta go tinkle? She called tinkle?
- 20:23Speaker 3: What is a call ahead? Does anybody know what a
- 20:25Speaker 3: call ahead is?
- 20:26Speaker 8: It's a portable party. The guys in Howard Beach over
- 20:29Speaker 8: there call ahead?
- 20:31Speaker 3: What call have you guys ever heard of a call ahead? No,
- 20:34Speaker 3: nobody in here has ever heard of it.
- 20:35Speaker 8: It's a company called call Ahead.
- 20:38Speaker 3: You mean it's like an uber you call for a party.
- 20:42Speaker 8: I'm designing it. When you steal you take the bikes
- 20:45Speaker 8: off the streets, that impound them, strap them to up.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Ah, that's a great plan. I don't know one thing.
- 20:52Speaker 3: That guy said, what the hell? What the hell is
- 20:55Speaker 3: he talking?
- 20:56Speaker 1: Uh?
- 20:57Speaker 3: Call ahead? You know that might I guess that would
- 21:01Speaker 3: be a good business. You know, I remember when the
- 21:03Speaker 3: people are telling me about Uber. It sounded crazy, But yeah,
- 21:06Speaker 3: a company. If you're out there somewhere on the street,
- 21:09Speaker 3: you can call them. They'll show right up with a
- 21:12Speaker 3: porter partty and you can go and they'll take it away.
- 21:14Speaker 3: I guess that's a good business. Let's go to Nick
- 21:16Speaker 3: and Westchester. Nick. How you doing?
- 21:19Speaker 9: Hi? Mark, I'm calling about Sergeant Durian who was found guilty.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Of man guy that threw the cooler at the motorcycle.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Great copy out on bail. That's the good.
- 21:31Speaker 9: News, right, and the judge reason that he acted recklessly
- 21:36Speaker 9: in throwing the cooler at the guy on the on
- 21:39Speaker 9: the motorcycle. So my question is the January sixth, there
- 21:45Speaker 9: was a shooting by a Lieutenant Bird of the Capitol
- 21:48Speaker 9: Police Department of an unarmed woman.
- 21:52Speaker 3: And I can anticipate your question. Yeah, there's a double
- 21:56Speaker 3: standard here. You get these left wing kook judges. This
- 21:59Speaker 3: Capitol Hill Bird shot Ashley Babbitt for no reason at all.
- 22:03Speaker 3: She was not doing anything. She was climbing through a window,
- 22:06Speaker 3: but there was no reason to shoot her. He just
- 22:08Speaker 3: took out his gun, aimed right at her from ten
- 22:10Speaker 3: feet away and just shot her, murdered her. An army
- 22:14Speaker 3: veteran shot her and killed her. This bird has a
- 22:17Speaker 3: history of crazy stuff with his gun, a bad history.
- 22:21Speaker 3: One time he fired out his window at cars going.
- 22:23Speaker 3: But this guy should be in jail. People have talked
- 22:26Speaker 3: to President Trump about doing something about it. And it's
- 22:28Speaker 3: the same thing with this. You know, in January sixth,
- 22:32Speaker 3: it was trespassing. That's what they were charged with. Disorderly conduct, trespassing,
- 22:36Speaker 3: disrupting and proceeding. Normally you get six months or what.
- 22:41Speaker 3: It was a double standard. They gave him ten years,
- 22:43Speaker 3: twenty years solitary. And it's the same thing here with
- 22:45Speaker 3: this crazy judge. Even if Duran were guilty of something,
- 22:49Speaker 3: it's not nine years in jail. For instance, the same
- 22:52Speaker 3: judge there was a gang member beat a homeless guy
- 22:55Speaker 3: to death with his bare hands. He only got like
- 22:57Speaker 3: four months. So the judge yearly left wing cook with
- 23:02Speaker 3: a ridiculous double standard. Hey, when we come back, the
- 23:05Speaker 3: great economist Steve Moore, we'll be with us we'll get
- 23:08Speaker 3: to Elizabeth Warren, the Fed and Moore with him coming
- 23:11Speaker 3: up on seven to ten wor mark.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Themone on seven ten wor.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Well, we bring you the smartest people around. Steve Moore,
- 23:22Speaker 3: the great economist. You should get his book, The Trump
- 23:25Speaker 3: Economic Miracle. It's a great book and you read all
- 23:29Speaker 3: of his columns. You can watch him on television, you
- 23:31Speaker 3: can go to his He runs the Committee to Unleash
- 23:34Speaker 3: Prosperity and they put out the best daily briefing, news
- 23:38Speaker 3: and analysis, totally free. It'll come write to your email.
- 23:41Speaker 3: You're gonna sound much smarter if you read this every morning.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Just go to Unleashed Prosperity dot com. Sign up for
- 23:46Speaker 3: the hotline Unleash Prosperity dot com. Steve Moore, how you doing.
- 23:53Speaker 10: Hey Mark, I'm doing really well. Thanks, looking looking good.
- 23:56Speaker 10: We got to get the straighter her moves open. When
- 23:59Speaker 10: we do that, we're going to see gas prices back
- 24:02Speaker 10: to three dollars a gallon. So I'm feeling really good
- 24:06Speaker 10: about things and the world's moving in our direction. But
- 24:09Speaker 10: I got to say this, I don't want to bail
- 24:11Speaker 10: out Spirit Airline. I don't want a government takeover of
- 24:14Speaker 10: that airline. I think it's crazy.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Yeah. The only thing that could make an airline like
- 24:19Speaker 3: that even worse service wise is the government.
- 24:21Speaker 10: Running in Exactly, it's like going to be Amtrak in
- 24:25Speaker 10: the sky.
- 24:27Speaker 7: It was not.
- 24:28Speaker 10: You know, have you noticed the last fifty years they
- 24:30Speaker 10: keep saying, oh, you know, profitability is right around the
- 24:33Speaker 10: next corner, right, Yeah, we've waited fifty years for that,
- 24:36Speaker 10: So you know that's a bad idea. The government should
- 24:38Speaker 10: never be in the business. Mark, You know this. The
- 24:40Speaker 10: government should never be in the business of bailing out
- 24:43Speaker 10: or subsidizing industries. It never works, and it taxpayers always
- 24:48Speaker 10: get screwed.
- 24:48Speaker 3: Yeah. Hey, why isn't there a revolt about the government
- 24:53Speaker 3: overpays for anything they do by ten million percent. Every
- 24:56Speaker 3: supermarket tells me it's about two million dollars to open
- 25:00Speaker 3: a supermarket, Mom, Donnie's going to open a grocery store,
- 25:03Speaker 3: a little one for thirty million. Why do we Why
- 25:07Speaker 3: do we let them waste all this money? It's supposed
- 25:09Speaker 3: to cost two million.
- 25:12Speaker 10: Because socialists have good hearts. It's the more of embrace
- 25:14Speaker 10: of socialism, don't you understand that?
- 25:16Speaker 6: Mark?
- 25:16Speaker 10: I mean, and you know this is worked so well
- 25:19Speaker 10: in the Soviet Union. I mean things were so cheap.
- 25:21Speaker 10: Of course, you had to wait an hour in line
- 25:23Speaker 10: to get in the storm, and when you got in
- 25:26Speaker 10: the store the shelves were empty, but boy, everything was
- 25:30Speaker 10: so affordable.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Yeah. Hey, let's talk about the FED for a moment.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Kevin warsh rough hearing, although he handled himself very well,
- 25:37Speaker 3: is he going to be our FED chair?
- 25:39Speaker 10: Well? Oh, by the way, you know that Larry Cudlow
- 25:42Speaker 10: and myself and Art Laugher and Sea Forbes and you know,
- 25:47Speaker 10: all the supply side crowd were totally in favor of
- 25:51Speaker 10: Kevin worsh I think he is the most qualified FED
- 25:55Speaker 10: chairman since Alan Greenspan. He is going to be superb
- 25:59Speaker 10: in that job. I don't understand why Democrats are paying
- 26:02Speaker 10: pop playing politics with this. I've been in Washingt d
- 26:05Speaker 10: C for forty years. It was never political.
- 26:08Speaker 7: Now.
- 26:08Speaker 10: Look, Trump's a little bit been blamed here too because
- 26:11Speaker 10: he and he Andrew Powells don't get along.
- 26:14Speaker 3: So well do they.
- 26:15Speaker 10: But you know the fact is that this guy is
- 26:18Speaker 10: super qualified. He is going to make the dollar as
- 26:20Speaker 10: good as goal. He's going to preserve the dollar is
- 26:24Speaker 10: the world reserve currency. He's going to restore confidence in
- 26:27Speaker 10: the American economy and the American dollar, and that's what
- 26:29Speaker 10: we want and that's what we need, and we're going
- 26:31Speaker 10: to bring inflation back down to below two percent.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Yeah, but you said, I don't understand why they're playing poeties.
- 26:37Speaker 3: There's nobody Trump could have appointed that they wouldn't play positives.
- 26:42Speaker 10: Oh, I know, that's exactly right, Mark. And this is
- 26:44Speaker 10: what's so frustrating is that here this guy super qualified,
- 26:47Speaker 10: he's going to do all the right things on the economy.
- 26:50Speaker 10: He's not good.
- 26:50Speaker 8: Now.
- 26:51Speaker 10: Look, Trump's put him in a little tough position because
- 26:53Speaker 10: Trump said I want to lower interest rates, and I
- 26:56Speaker 10: thought that Kevin handled that very well with the hearing yesterday.
- 26:59Speaker 10: He said, no, oh, I'm going to make my own decisions.
- 27:01Speaker 10: Trump has never, you know, commanded.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Me to lower rates.
- 27:04Speaker 10: I mean, everybody knows that's what he wants. But I
- 27:07Speaker 10: do believe that Kevin will be independent, and I think
- 27:10Speaker 10: he's he's absolutely the perfect choice. And by the way,
- 27:13Speaker 10: his qualifications are amazing and there's nobody been more qualified
- 27:17Speaker 10: than him, and it just shows everything is political. I
- 27:20Speaker 10: just want to make sure people understand this doesn't have
- 27:23Speaker 10: this dispute has nothing to do with Kevin worsh It's
- 27:26Speaker 10: just the Democrats hate Trump and they're opposed to anything
- 27:29Speaker 10: he wants to do, even if it's an America's interest,
- 27:31Speaker 10: and it is America's interest to get Kevin worsh in
- 27:34Speaker 10: there and to get Jerome Powell out. Jerome Powell has
- 27:37Speaker 10: been the most political fed share ever ever because he
- 27:41Speaker 10: hates Trump so much.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I we hope it's Kevin Worsh. Hey, yesterday
- 27:48Speaker 3: the test he had to testify in front of Congress
- 27:50Speaker 3: Scott Bessant and these they're yelling at him about tax
- 27:53Speaker 3: breaks for the rich, and why are you giving all
- 27:55Speaker 3: this month the rich tax cuts for the rich? This
- 27:58Speaker 3: is one of the greatest myths of all time, isn't it.
- 28:01Speaker 10: It sure is. I mean even the Washington Post, by
- 28:04Speaker 10: the way, you know, the Washington Post editorial board, which
- 28:06Speaker 10: you know was the most liberal you know, editorial board
- 28:10Speaker 10: in the country. Uh, just ten years ago, even they
- 28:13Speaker 10: had a big editorial saying it's a myth that, you know,
- 28:17Speaker 10: the rich don't pay their fair share. The top one
- 28:19Speaker 10: percent pay forty percent of the income tax, you know,
- 28:22Speaker 10: almost a record high. And by the way, the middle
- 28:25Speaker 10: class got a two thousand dollars to twenty five hundred
- 28:29Speaker 10: dollars tax cut in twenty twenty six. So the Democrats,
- 28:33Speaker 10: you know, if they had had their way, people would
- 28:36Speaker 10: be paying twenty five hundred dollars more in taxes this year.
- 28:38Speaker 10: How's that going to make things more affordable?
- 28:41Speaker 3: Hey, just go over that again, because if you actually
- 28:44Speaker 3: look at the facts, the rich don't pay their fair share.
- 28:46Speaker 3: They're paying way beyond their fair share. Say that again.
- 28:48Speaker 3: The top one percent pay what.
- 28:51Speaker 10: The top one out of one hundred Americans pay almost
- 28:55Speaker 10: forty percent of the entire income tax. The top ten
- 28:58Speaker 10: percent pay like eighty percent of the income tax. So
- 29:01Speaker 10: the what the Washington You know, I've been saying this
- 29:04Speaker 10: for years and decades, but now we're in the Washington
- 29:06Speaker 10: Post is saying it. We have one of the most
- 29:08Speaker 10: progressive tax systems in the country. In fact, you know,
- 29:11Speaker 10: we would be much better off if we just had
- 29:13Speaker 10: a flat tax. Everybody pays say sixteen, seventeen, eighteen percent.
- 29:17Speaker 10: You get a deduction for you and your children, and
- 29:20Speaker 10: you don't get all these other crat deductions and loopholes
- 29:23Speaker 10: that oftentimes the rich take advantage of and make it
- 29:26Speaker 10: really simple. I mean, you know, Steve Forbes, I know
- 29:28Speaker 10: you have him on your show a lot. He's the
- 29:31Speaker 10: he's the godfather of this idea. You know, think of
- 29:34Speaker 10: We wouldn't have to have a massive IRS. We wouldn't
- 29:36Speaker 10: have to have you know, thousands and thousands of you know,
- 29:39Speaker 10: IRS agents. We wouldn't have to have tax accountants. It
- 29:42Speaker 10: would be so simple. You could do it in five
- 29:44Speaker 10: minutes and you know, at your bedtimetable.
- 29:47Speaker 1: I know.
- 29:47Speaker 3: But Democrats would be up in arms. He's trying to
- 29:49Speaker 3: get rid of the IRS. He's trying to get rid
- 29:51Speaker 3: of our agents.
- 29:52Speaker 10: Exactly.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Hey, what do we Steve Moore, what are we going
- 29:56Speaker 3: to do about this jerrymandering?
- 29:59Speaker 10: Oh my god, this is such a disgrace. And by
- 30:02Speaker 10: the way, both sides are responsible for this. I'm not
- 30:05Speaker 10: going to blame one part of you or the other.
- 30:07Speaker 3: They're both.
- 30:08Speaker 10: And this is politicians basically using the rules to keep
- 30:12Speaker 10: themselves in office. That's what's going on here, and it
- 30:15Speaker 10: is outrageous. You know, Democrats love to rail about dangerous
- 30:18Speaker 10: democracy and we need representative government and we can't can't
- 30:22Speaker 10: dis in franchise voters. That's exactly what this does. Now,
- 30:25Speaker 10: what happened in Virginia is probably the most obscene version
- 30:31Speaker 10: of this where a state that is, you know, I
- 30:33Speaker 10: live in Virginia. So we're fifty three percent Democrats roughly
- 30:36Speaker 10: and abut forty six and a half percent Republican something
- 30:39Speaker 10: like that. Not not exactly, but that's pretty close. But
- 30:42Speaker 10: under their jurymans, eleven seats kind of them will go
- 30:45Speaker 10: to Democrats and one will go to Republicans, so they
- 30:48Speaker 10: get ninety percent of the state even though they're only
- 30:51Speaker 10: fifty three percent of the population.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Well, but what we can do about this, I guess
- 30:55Speaker 3: Republicans can do it back to them, but that's not
- 30:57Speaker 3: really the answer. Shouldn't there be all?
- 31:01Speaker 10: Because yeah, so look, what we need to do is
- 31:05Speaker 10: just have I don't know how you implement this, but
- 31:08Speaker 10: in Iowa, Iowa just has the computers do it. I mean,
- 31:11Speaker 10: this is twenty twenty six. The computers can do very
- 31:14Speaker 10: compact districts, and you take politics out of it. You know,
- 31:17Speaker 10: you basically say, you put as many people in the
- 31:20Speaker 10: district as you can that's within the kind of perimeter
- 31:22Speaker 10: of the district, so you don't have these these lines
- 31:25Speaker 10: that look like snakes going through the U through the district.
- 31:29Speaker 10: You know, I'm from Illinois. They have one district that
- 31:30Speaker 10: goes all the way from Chicago down to the border
- 31:33Speaker 10: of like Arkansas. It's like it's like two hundred and
- 31:37Speaker 10: eighty miles away. I mean, those are just outrageous jurymanders
- 31:42Speaker 10: and just have a computers pick that, you know, set
- 31:45Speaker 10: the perimeters of each district. You take politics out of it.
- 31:48Speaker 10: You have people voting with your neighbors. I mean, we
- 31:50Speaker 10: had something in the hotline today, I kind of you
- 31:53Speaker 10: get the outline by the way, folks, if you don't
- 31:54Speaker 10: get it, go to Unlea's prosperity dot com and sign
- 31:57Speaker 10: up for for free. But it was just a cartoon
- 31:59Speaker 10: and you know, the wife this apartment building and the
- 32:03Speaker 10: one person says to the person across the aisle, you
- 32:07Speaker 10: know the hall, Oh, they just jury mandard. You're in
- 32:10Speaker 10: one district. That's how crazy it's gotten.
- 32:14Speaker 3: Yeah, well that's my new fake you know.
- 32:17Speaker 10: In democracy, you know we're supposed to have the voters
- 32:21Speaker 10: choose the politicians, right, we vote for the politicians. Now
- 32:25Speaker 10: what happens to the politicians choose their voters.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's my new fake name. If I ever need that,
- 32:31Speaker 3: If I ever need a fake name, it's Jerry Manders.
- 32:37Speaker 3: So everybody get this hotline. It's the best daily briefing,
- 32:41Speaker 3: news and great analysis. You go to Unleash Prosperity dot
- 32:45Speaker 3: com sign up for the hotline Unleash Prosperity dot com
- 32:50Speaker 3: and everybody gets Steve Moore's book, The Trump Economic Miracle.
- 32:53Speaker 3: It's excellent. Well, Steve Moore, great stuff, Thanks for being
- 32:57Speaker 3: with us. Thanks Mark, have a great day. Take care. Hey,
- 33:01Speaker 3: coming up at noon today, you got Buck and Clay,
- 33:06Speaker 3: and Buck, by the way, has an excellent new book
- 33:09Speaker 3: out and it's called Manufacturing Delusion. In fact, there's a
- 33:13Speaker 3: book party tonight for Buck. But make sure you get
- 33:15Speaker 3: Buck Sexton's great new books. And listen to Buck and
- 33:18Speaker 3: Clay at noon today and then at three o'clock you
- 33:22Speaker 3: got the most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity.
- 33:26Speaker 3: You got Jesse Kelly at six and every night at nine.
- 33:29Speaker 3: Don't miss this. Just listen once. You'll get hooked. It's
- 33:32Speaker 3: very funny. It's a great show. It's Jimmy Fayla every
- 33:35Speaker 3: night at nine on seven to ten, wor.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Mister New York marks them all wr.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Well, Hey, we take a break for the news normally
- 33:47Speaker 3: during the news, I wander down the hallway. There are
- 33:50Speaker 3: kitchen there. I get another cup of coffee. I'm afraid
- 33:53Speaker 3: they'll go down there right now because it's bring your
- 33:55Speaker 3: kids to workday and they're all over the hallways. Every
- 33:59Speaker 3: salesperson and every executive, everybody that works got their kids.
- 34:03Speaker 3: And then you have to say all to every kid.
- 34:06Speaker 3: They introduce the kids to everybody. But the kids are
- 34:08Speaker 3: like five, six years old. This is Jim Kerr. Kid's five.
- 34:12Speaker 3: He doesn't know who Jim Kurr is. This is wr
- 34:16Speaker 3: The kid is four. You think he's listening to talk radio.
- 34:19Speaker 3: I think so. Even Elvis Duran. This is Elvis Duran.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Kids just looking. He's six. He doesn't know what's one Hunter.
- 34:29Speaker 3: They don't now. Just so you know, some facts came
- 34:32Speaker 3: out yesterday and this big presentation here. As far as
