- 4:04Yeah. In the game.
- 4:16I agree. But listen.
- 4:22Yes, yes, I'm here to blow the lid off a conspiracy.
- 4:26I'm here to out page publicly. All right, so, I love that.
- 4:31I love. That is a great start.
- 4:33So, we're, we have all these aircrafts being shot down, we
- 4:38have UFO and alien sightings all over the world.
- 4:41And I'm here to tell you right now that page is not from this
- 4:44planet, she is an alien and I have proof because no one should
- 4:48be as talented as her and not be human as well as As I hired her
- 4:52for almost a full 24-hour period and and she didn't consume any
- 4:57liquid our food for 24 hours and that is not human.
- 5:00She is not of this world and all these it UFOs.
- 5:04And everything are coming to get page back and bring because
- 5:07she's trying to phone home, and they're trying to take her home
- 5:09because the world doesn't deserve page, and they're trying
- 5:12to take her back to her home planet.
- 5:13It's about time There's no one's and me and him are eating, like,
- 5:24for the 14th time, or are you sure you're not hungry?
- 5:28I was okay, legitimately, I had like ten dollars to my name that
- 5:31day. I would have bought you Maddie
- 5:33off of the paper that's on social anxiety.
- 5:39Like bill came out. I was like, listen, I'll be
- 5:40fine. I had coffee.
- 5:41It's good. And I didn't want to say
- 5:44anything because I didn't want to be that person.
- 5:46That's so cool. Hey, I've been there you go,
- 5:49baby. Yeah, I did go home in like
- 5:55Fowler, yeah, yeah. I crammed a lot of us.
- 6:01So you, you are a photographer, an artist.
- 6:05I mean, there's there's there's a lot you hang your hat on.
- 6:07You are you're generally just as super creative person but I
- 6:11really want to dive in a son first that we were talking about
- 6:13before the podcast started, I was told by an inside source
- 6:18that you are currently obsessed with Bernie Madoff.
- 6:21You've been watching documentaries, Scheme.
- 6:24Yes, I watched it. I'm always.
- 6:28Okay, so in college you always heard like Madoff thrown around
- 6:32but like no one ever really kind of knew what he did.
- 6:35They knew it was a Ponzi scheme but like no one knew why he did
- 6:38it how he started it. Any of that shit.
- 6:40So I watched this documentary I like no less than six times.
- 6:44I like and it just blows my mind because he never actually gives
- 6:49anybody an answer is to like why he did it.
- 6:51He's just like I don't have to but like Hundred, no one knows
- 6:56why and him, and his other rich, people are fucking greedy, are
- 7:01and like, I'm sorry, the one guy that like himself in the pool,
- 7:05he knew he absolutely knew that bunch of them knew like, the
- 7:08big, I think they called it the big four, like he would call
- 7:12them if he was in trouble. Like they absolutely knew but
- 7:15like him and his brother didn't have to do it like they were
- 7:18starting to do those like electronic trading and they were
- 7:22like, big wigs for it everyone. Wall Street was like, you know
- 7:25what, and they Bernie decided to do.
- 7:28Here's, here's where I here's where my socialist.
- 7:32Sorry America. I said the word, here's what my
- 7:35socialist brain and my my just being poor my whole life and
- 7:39seeing other people poor and people who are really really
- 7:42creative and just don't make it because the re this our social
- 7:45structures made of yeah like Bernie Madoff just because he
- 7:50wanted to made billions he was already a billionaire.
- 7:53I made more and just make ruin people and he ruined like other
- 7:57rich people out of their money. So I am not really too
- 8:01heartbroken over it and they were kind of like a
- 8:16shady but he got me, you know what I mean?
- 8:19Because people they would go to Banks, right?
- 8:22And these People, they will see, stupidly rich people.
- 8:26That had accounts that these Banks there were like, the furni
- 8:30knows you're asking. We're going to lose our account
- 8:33stop like they absolutely knew. There's no reason.
- 8:36And the wait. What was that mathematicians
- 8:38name? I feel really bad.
- 8:39I can't think of his name. No, he he figured it out within
- 8:43like five minutes. He's like it's a straight, 45
- 8:45degree angle, it's a Ponzi scheme.
- 8:48Are you joking. And you want to see another good
- 8:52Ponzi scheme documentary that Kind of takes place around here.
- 8:57The polka King. What on Netflix, who the fuck
- 9:03play? The poker King?
- 9:04That was I think, was Jack Black.
- 9:06Am I right with that? I don't know.
- 9:09He was a polka singer and he lived in Hazleton, Pennsylvania
- 9:13stopped. And he essentially started a
- 9:16Ponzi scheme, with his list of his like listeners.
- 9:19He was like, yo, if you invest into my company, I can reinvest
- 9:22your money and do this and he was from Hazleton Pennsylvania.
- 9:27Yeah, it's on Netflix. It's a graduate crazy
- 9:30documentary but it's another Ponzi scheme documentary that he
- 9:33was doing. Do you think people buy now
- 9:35would be like, alright, well, do they felt they fell for it?
- 9:38He did all he, all he did was show like like little tchotchkes
- 9:42like polish trotsky's and shit like he like at August or and he
- 9:46was, yeah, he was ocean connecting people through
- 9:49wrestling says, my best friend lives in Hazel and I live 20 30
- 9:52minutes from Hazleton. Speaking of polka, my trainer.
- 9:57Was grabbing automated poke a drummer random.
- 9:59Uh, yeah. Pennsylvania is where we go.
- 10:08Another cool thing. I want to just give a quick
- 10:10plug. It's funny.
- 10:11I was kind of telling you a little bit, so a person who
- 10:14supports the podcast and we've been, I've been friends with him
- 10:16for a while Nikolai. He does a lot of extra work.
- 10:19He's an aspiring actor. He wants to do cool things.
- 10:22Nikolai was in the Bernie Madoff movie.
- 10:26Hmm. There's little Nikolai right
- 10:28there. Look at him.
- 10:29People's money with those big-ass glasses.
- 10:32Look at him. That's, you know.
- 10:34It's funny Nikolai said, he wasn't allowed to shave, so
- 10:36that's like bearded Nikolai. It's really not.
- 10:40I'm just fucking one of what if he was so nervous.
- 10:44Because like, we went out to go hang out and do stuff and he was
- 10:46like, I can't get sunburned. I can't do this.
- 10:48Like you like applying all because he's like, as if it's
- 10:52Netflix documentary. So they can't.
- 10:54You only had a small are so like that's just like a little
- 10:56inside. Of like acting.
- 10:58Like if you go, you can't cut your hair, you can't do this,
- 11:00can't do that. You can't go get a tan, you
- 11:02can't get sunburned like they need you for if they do reshoots
- 11:06and stuff, it's a whole deal. But yeah, so you watch that like
- 11:09three times and seen Nick aligned and even realize it.
- 11:11I didn't realize it. No, and I knew immediately
- 11:14Talking about because I always for whatever reason not that it
- 11:17was funny but just that close up getting closer on their face
- 11:20with the big old glasses and like, that's amazing.
- 11:23Yeah, immediately, what you're talking about Nikolai was also
- 11:26on a Court TV show one time, where he sued a his friend
- 11:33because he was a magician. It was like on one of those
- 11:35judge shows. Yeah, fun fact.
- 11:37They're all fake. Yeah, I kind of okay.
- 11:40I'm disappointed but I'm not surprised.
- 11:43Yeah, they're all They're all actors.
- 11:45They're all fake. Those none of those Court shows
- 11:47are real. Sorry.
- 11:48To ruin it freezes. No, no.
- 11:50You know, people try to ruin rustling all the time.
- 11:52Everything you watch on TV is fake.
- 11:54So stop shitting on wrestling. I should know.
- 11:56This whole podcast is scripted. None of this is real.
- 12:05Not none of it. Yeah, no magic.
- 12:08No magic is 100% real. Just televisions me.
- 12:13Yeah, it's just Yeah, magic tarot cards.
- 12:16Ghost God, all real. Elbow drops her desk.
- 12:31So rustling. How did you get into this crazy?
- 12:35Crazy life of professional wrestling.
- 12:38Is it, is it something you've always been a fan of or was just
- 12:41like, I like doing photography and they'll take me in?
- 12:44How did, how did you get involved in all this nonsense?
- 12:47It's like a little bit of both, to be honest.
- 12:48So I always liked wrestling, my aunt's.
- 12:51Always liked it, right? They were obsessed with like
- 12:54Shawn Michaels. I love China, personally, I like
- 12:58trying to. I was more of a Chauncey.
- 13:00I like China India X, but I was more of a fan of China.
- 13:04When she was with Eddie Guerrero, I liked Mamacita China
- 13:10Sea. I only knew her from DX like
- 13:13that's when I was introduced to her, you know what I mean?
- 13:17So, like I always liked it. I remember when the shield
- 13:20started and when it was, what was that?
- 13:24When Randy Orton first started and he was like a tiny little
- 13:27baby. He was with Evolution.
- 13:30Yeah. So I had always, I was like,
- 13:32it's really cool to watch but like, you don't talk about it at
- 13:35school because people make fun of you for it.
- 13:37But, you know, it's cool if you play Dungeons and Dragons in
- 13:41school but like, whatever, you're a girl who watch
- 13:43wrestling. It's probably some tough
- 13:45sledding. Yeah, so in photography, I
- 13:49always liked film photography video, my mom always talks about
- 13:54like I used to try and take video cameras from her if she
- 13:56was filming. He's like let me do that.
- 13:59So what it was really by accident, Drew doneski, he's
- 14:02like one of my best friend's. I love him.
- 14:03He's an amazing ring announcer and he's just a great dude.
- 14:07He was my internship supervisor at a college.
- 14:11So. And to college have to go
- 14:13internal that other crap. He worked to go work for a free
- 14:16to Yourself Kim. Yeah, so he was my internship.
- 14:20Supervisor. One of them, it quick Rock and
- 14:22like we just got on the conversation of wrestling one
- 14:25day. He's like, you should come with
- 14:27me to like, CND wrestling and I was like, what?
- 14:30He's like, it's like, you know, it's not like the televised,
- 14:34it's in D, like local. So, and that's how it started.
- 14:37And then they needed much much low more budget, but a lot more
- 14:41fun, more fun, and they just needed a photographer for a
- 14:45show. I guess they're guy.
- 14:46Quit. It and I just never stop doing
- 14:48it. I just they're like, hey can you
- 14:51come back for the next one? And that's all it's been since
- 14:54it's just like, hey, can you come back for the next one?
- 14:57I love when people because I've only really been in the Indie
- 14:59scene, two. Maybe three years.
- 15:01If that, and I might be maybe. Yeah, if people are like, oh my
- 15:08God, how did you get in this business?
- 15:10I'm like, it's not hard just show up.
- 15:13Yeah. A be there.
- 15:19You just gotta be there. I think it was.
- 15:21They were like, oh my God, she's like kind of funny and she's
- 15:24super nice and it's like decent photos.
- 15:26Bring her back, you know. Yeah, so we just kept coming
- 15:30back. It is weird though.
- 15:32Like I had a girl when I worked retail.
- 15:35She overheard me talking about editing, these effing wrestling
- 15:39photos, because there are so many.
- 15:41She's like, how do you get into wrestling?
- 15:44I'm like, you got a camera? Yeah, sure.
- 15:46Show ya show up and ask like, editing wrestling photos, we're
- 15:54going to talk about it. So I was at the sanctuary one
- 15:59night and you and Eric pin hat. We're having photography, talk.
- 16:03Yeah. And a few other photographers
- 16:05were there and you got and you were like schooling, the new
- 16:08photographers on wrestling stuff.
- 16:10And I remember Eric saying, like I think someone asked Eric like
- 16:13what is your least favorite part about Ed?
- 16:15Because I think Eric, you are both.
- 16:17Had your Co cameras and your laptops and your like working on
- 16:19photos before the show started. Eric goes, I'm sick of this.
- 16:24I'm not doing it no more. I'm making a firm stand right
- 16:27now. I'm telling every wrestler I am
- 16:29done editing out, weans in photos.
- 16:34And I literally said, what are you talking about?
- 16:38Because I personally never looked and now, every single
- 16:44photo of a wrestling match, guess where my eyes go.
- 16:48Because of you soon. I like it's okay, it's something
- 16:53you don't notice until you're like going through your photos
- 16:56last time, like you would like to noticing the arrow in the
- 16:59FedEx logo. Once someone tells you there's
- 17:01an arrow in the FedEx logo. Every time you look at the
- 17:04FedEx. Sluggo your eye goes to the
- 17:05arrow first. Yep.
- 17:06So now because I was exposed to it, all of you are going to be
- 17:09supposed to it. There's there's tons of wiener
- 17:13in wrestling photos tons. Yes, I just dropped my Shadows.
- 17:21I just drop the like the black. So it says In Lightroom, at the
- 17:27very bottom, you can like, adjust your whites.
- 17:29You can adjust your blacks or contrast or Shadows.
- 17:31I just drop it off. Like I'm not going in there with
- 17:34a healing brush. It feels really weird to do, not
- 17:38drop from the Shadows Aunt Irene, but if you don't want to,
- 17:44if you don't want your mouse and clickers to be working on some
- 17:48stickers, I try to rhyme on it. I was dumb.
- 17:51There's how you do it page page just gave you all a photography
- 17:54lesson on how to How to eliminate the Wayne?
- 18:01I made the joke last podcast on Alex as I said.
- 18:03I think if I get new promo photos, I need the opposite
- 18:06effect. I need someone to add wean to
- 18:08it. You know what I mean?
- 18:10And I want it like super unrealistic.
- 18:11Like I want to look like an 80s hair.
- 18:13Metal guy, that likes stuffed panda.
- 18:15Yeah, I wanted I think people wanted so it looks so clearly
- 18:19fake that it's hilarious. You listen to every wrestling
- 18:23promotion and be like, here's my promo photo of every like we're
- 18:25not fucking news and then every photos from my chest up.
- 18:31We're like we cannot take this seriously, we're never again.
- 18:36Who is this guy would save so much more miles on my car.
- 18:40Imagine if that's the reason I got on booked is I had a huge
- 18:45fake, queen added to my promo photo.
- 18:49The only bad thing we have to say who sent us are
- 18:52questionable. Yeah, because yeah.
- 18:56Commentary canceled for inappropriate but hilarious
- 19:00promo. Photo.
- 19:07Oh man, that'd be amazing. I wouldn't even I would even
- 19:09hate that cancellation. That'd be amazing.
- 19:10I'd be I'd be a badge of honor. What's up?
- 19:15Is this a steel panther understudy?
- 19:16Like yes, well my buddies bands on tour right now it's Steel
- 19:20Panther again, it's our second time touring with them, you
- 19:23know, all the cool people. I swear, I try I really, really,
- 19:29really talented friends. I somehow just managed to find
- 19:32myself to be friends or be around.
- 19:34Talented people and I'm just very fortunate.
- 19:36Because I don't possess our own any Talent myself.
- 19:39So I just try to rub off other towns of people because iron
- 19:42sharpens iron So eventually I'll get good at something.
- 19:44I just don't know what I think you're talented.
- 19:50So one of the questions in the chat connecting people through
- 19:53wrestling. How many shows have you worked?
- 19:57Good luck, what a lot, like my first year, the company I was
- 20:04working for, they ran two shows a month.
- 20:08So I'm not going to math, it's like 24, right?
- 20:11And then like times 10 or whatever so it's probably gotten
- 20:14close to I want to say it's been close to about like a hundred
- 20:20and a hundred shows, maybe more than that.
- 20:25It's got to be more than that but it's definitely tip the
- 20:28scale over 100. I honestly don't keep track.
- 20:30I cannot keep track of a calendar either.
- 20:33I'm in the same boat. That's a thing.
- 20:35Like, I've only really been doing this, a short short time,
- 20:38but I'd like. But people, when they ask, like,
- 20:40how many commentary things have you done, or how many wrestling
- 20:43shows on my I have no idea. I just get in the car and go
- 20:46like, honestly, that's all it is like, it's truly a blur.
- 20:50Like, you get in and you go and then you realize it's two years
- 20:53later and you've done how many shows.
- 20:54All right. Yeah.
- 20:55Yeah. And you're like, wow, and then
- 20:56you have some veterans who are like, oh, this is my Hundred
- 20:59show your like hundred. I did that shit like my second
- 21:03month. Like, oh my gosh, I think with a
- 21:08problem, but I think a lot of people like, they'll come in and
- 21:11they'll be like, all right, so you're gonna work for this
- 21:13promotion and then people go, like, like there's nothing wrong
- 21:17with loyalty but also like, if you want to get good at your
- 21:19craft, if you just work for one place, you're not going to get
- 21:22the Reps, right. Better big issue is to is like
- 21:25And that home promotion or the one you start with.
- 21:28I mean, I think anybody can attest to this maybe like a lot
- 21:33of them, they almost get really possessive.
- 21:35And especially if they see that, like, you're starting to do.
- 21:38Well, they can get kind of possessive.
- 21:42I can honestly say that, like, the place I started with they
- 21:45were all like heck, yeah. Girl, get it.
- 21:47Go do your thing. Go work.
- 21:49Those shows. Heck, yeah, you deserve it.
- 21:50But I have heard that there have been people their home
- 21:53promotions or very like, Possessive.
- 21:56They don't want to come up with anything and anything and I
- 21:59don't want to say just the wrestling business but it's just
- 22:02in general. Like and then when you work
- 22:04somewhere and then go somewhere else, they're like, oh, they
- 22:07only, we gave them their shot, it's like store, but you also
- 22:11weren't in the car and drove with them to the next 18 shows.
- 22:15You weren't the one sitting at their house while they were
- 22:17struggling, how to learn how to edit or do this, or do that.
- 22:20Like, sure you gave them a launching point, but you can't
- 22:22take credit for their whole career right now.
- 22:25Your Exactly. Yeah, but that's I think that's
- 22:28the biggest key is it's not just being like, hey being loyal but
- 22:32just getting out there and getting the work in, you know.
- 22:35Yeah. You can't be afraid to travel
- 22:37like, car mileage. Forget about it.
- 22:39Don't really the epitome of Charlie from Always Sunny.
- 22:44Like I never left a 30-mile. Radius of my house for the
- 22:48first, probably 30 years of my life.
- 22:50And then I just started doing this wrestling thing and I'm
- 22:53like went to Jersey twice like Is a one month and I was like,
- 22:56this is insane for me. Like that's not something I've
- 22:59ever done and now it's like, oh, I know you're, I've been to
- 23:02Jersey more times in my life in the past six months than my
- 23:06entire life. You don't mean like, it's just
- 23:08right? Crazy to think about it.
- 23:10It's odd like, my friends are all like you literally don't do
- 23:15anything like you, don't leave your house.
- 23:18You go to the gym, go home. Like in that now, you're just
- 23:23trapped, like hours away for Sling and they don't get
- 23:26wrestling either. They like it.
- 23:28Like my best friend Kate is obsessed but they don't.
- 23:32They don't get it. Like, they see it as like the
- 23:34televised thing, they don't see that it's like 18 but even the
- 23:38televised like it's that's much more.
- 23:42It's such a, it's so crazy. Well, here's a question, like a
- 23:45photography thing. So I kind of dabbled a little
- 23:48bit in photographer here and there and I am as we're talking
- 23:51I'm kind of like creeping on your page.
- 23:53So I'm trying to find this one photo.
- 23:55Because I want to post it up and I keep finding more photos that
- 23:58eventually. I'm gonna start dropping in the
- 23:59chat so if you're listening to this audio there's going to be
- 24:02some cues in here that you're going to hate because if you're
- 24:04listening in your car you like I can't see.
- 24:06Well go check it out on YouTube. I need to subscribe anyway and
- 24:10if you're watching this you can listen to a BJ podcast in your
- 24:13car and be just as pissed as these people are.
- 24:15So yeah you I think the coolest part is when wrestling
- 24:18promotions have a little bit more of a professional Santa
- 24:22because sometimes it is what it is and there's nothing, there's
- 24:24no knock but like Right. Place is just kind of show up in
- 24:26a gym. They put up a ring.
- 24:28Are they show up here and put up a ring?
- 24:29And then it's your job as the photographer.
- 24:31And I think this is where you stand out in a Pete stands.
- 24:34And I'm sorry, not Pete. I'm looking at the chat and CP
- 24:37and a pin hat. Stand out is, it's one thing to
- 24:40take a photo of the wrestler and the photo of the action.
- 24:43But I think what sets you apart is you find that backdrop?
- 24:48You find, that moment you find a angle.
- 24:50You almost like a cinematic look and use your environment.
- 24:55To pull out your photo even more.
- 24:59And I think that's what sends makes you stand out.
- 25:01And then if you put you in a scenario, like, for example,
- 25:05like, your photos are fantastic, and it pin has photos are
- 25:08fantastic at, like, any wrestling venue.
- 25:11You put you at, but then you drop you in a little more setup
- 25:14place that has the lights and the, and in the way, everything
- 25:17set up. And now I want to say lights,
- 25:19like, for example, A xw outbreak, they have the lights
- 25:22above the ring, and the rest of my love.
- 25:25I think it's like the coolest. It's the most I there's
- 25:29something about that lady. I like that top down because it
- 25:31makes really nice hard Shadows. Like, for example, there's a
- 25:34photo of Schultz that I grabbed, or he's up on the corner and
- 25:37he's doing his thing, but you get this really nice hard like
- 25:41top-down lighting and it just defines every single muscle they
- 25:46have. And it just has this very I
- 25:50don't want to say ethereal, but genuinely it does because then
- 25:53they're all backlit, they've got a nice room light and it's just
- 25:55I love that type of lighting. I and the thing is that lighting
- 25:59of you don't know how to handle that lighting it, sinks it's
- 26:03hard to shoot at like that like some place, some photographers,
- 26:07you can tell when they struggle in low light and they only have
- 26:11very little top light because in their photos are super grainy or
- 26:14there's a lot of noise or stuff like that.
- 26:16You have Matt like and then oh my God photographers with flash
- 26:19ringside as my favorite to, I've seen that a couple times but
- 26:23like you can literally put 100, photographers ringside and go
- 26:27back and look at everything. Everyone's photos and it's not
- 26:29necessarily who has the most expensive camera because you
- 26:33could have the most expensive camera in the bunch but still
- 26:35don't know how to use it. You know what I mean?
- 26:37Like, I talked to a professional photographer and he said your
- 26:40money is not in your body. The money is in the lens.
- 26:43Hmm. Yeah, I'd people like why need
- 26:45to upgrade? I need to get the better camera.
- 26:46I need to upgrade and get the 90 Dr. The mark 28 or whatever.
- 26:51Is up there, you know, means like like I literally watched
- 26:54professional photographer take photos with a rebel like a rebel
- 26:57too. To or something and his photos
- 26:59look better than a Mark D. It's really down to
- 27:02understanding. Like you have to understand how
- 27:05your camera works. But you also have to understand
- 27:07like your exposure triangle, a lighting Works, how it
- 27:11interacts, things like that, you have like, so there's basic
- 27:13fundamentals. Yes.
- 27:15But once you understand that and once you're at, I don't know.
- 27:19Like once you understand that like it is 0-2 like, 250, you're
- 27:25doing great. You know what I mean?
- 27:27Because like, I've People reach out to me, like, almost like,
- 27:29what setup do you use? Like, I want to take photos like
- 27:32you and it doesn't honestly, like I'll tell you what my setup
- 27:36is. I don't get keep that I don't
- 27:37really care. Yeah.
- 27:38But like also just so, you know, 90% of it is understanding.
- 27:47How to take that photo your exposure triangle, you're
- 27:49lighting it out of that, like that's 90% of it.
- 27:53The other 10% is your, you're thinking about framing a
- 27:56composition. Yes.
- 27:57So like you're looking for moments, like, you really should
- 28:00be looking at capturing moments in time.
- 28:02Like, that's my big thing. I like to.
- 28:05I think it was it was rationally.
- 28:08The joke that page always loves to see like people in pain and
- 28:14it's not that they're just so Emotional and it's such a
- 28:19visceral point. I don't like you can see the
- 28:23person behind the character coming through.
- 28:27Like this is a person that went and trained and thought about
- 28:31their character and learn how to do the craft.
- 28:34And now they're out there and they're like busting their ass
- 28:36and their, in the ring. And like, I'm going to be
- 28:37honest, they're in there for like 10, 15, 20, 30 minutes and
- 28:42that photo can last a lifetime jumping, right?
- 28:45So like you start to slowly as the Goes on, you start to see
- 28:48like the actual person, like leaking through that, or they're
- 28:52like throwing their all into it. And that's what I like to try
- 28:55and grab because, that's, who's looking at it like 20, 30 years
- 28:58down the road, they're not like, oh, this was this.
- 29:01Like, no, this is me. This was the name I wrestled
- 29:04under and this is that's what I look for other.
- 29:07So what are some of your favorite places you've taken
- 29:09photos at IWC for sure, that's where a lot of your photos right
- 29:16now. I think I'm looking at that
- 29:17venue. Looks beautiful the way they
- 29:19have a flint is so good. It's gorgeous.
- 29:23It's and it's just a simple little squared setup up there.
- 29:27It's really nice. I love shooting their even like
- 29:30shooting. I think my first show
- 29:34photographer that was there. Just on the photo that literally
- 29:37embodies what we were talking about, how if you don't know
- 29:39what you're doing. I'll come on load in.
- 29:42You see like here's here's an example of where a place can be
- 29:47so dark and if you don't know what you're doing, this photo is
- 29:51the hardest thing to take, but the way you took it and of
- 29:53course, now it's not working. All right, I think I got it now.
- 30:02This right here. Like this, is it.
- 30:04So I'm gonna so this is essentially the same venue in
- 30:07Arena. I'm going to put up right here.
- 30:08So this is the same place just to make sure we're on the same
- 30:10page. Now, nothing's there again,
- 30:14Jesus, I hate this place. Yeah, that same venue.
- 30:19Look, don't the weight use a light on top?
- 30:20Your talk about the hard Shadows, all that's there.
- 30:23Here's the same venue, but not using the ring light and you're
- 30:26using that one blue light in the corner.
- 30:28And you got the coolest photo of all time.
- 30:31But if a lot of photographers, take that shot and they're like,
- 30:34oh, I have to throw that away, because it's too dark, and I
- 30:36can't see anything, but you use that one, light source, caught a
- 30:40moment and got a really good photo.
- 30:43Thanks and I'm not even professional or even know what
- 30:47I'm talking about photography. But this is when I pulled up, I
- 30:49thought was really cool just because I watch them as a kid,
- 30:54okay? So talk I've ever seen in my
- 30:56life that show, I'll he's so nice.
- 30:59Sighs. I, I got to that show and
- 31:02normally I like walk to the back and I set myself down, but a
- 31:06really good friend of mine. Her name is Nat.
- 31:07I love her wonder which Boutique she's killing it.
- 31:10I love her. We were just standing out there
- 31:12talking so like I didn't know he was gonna be there and then I
- 31:16saw him come up on the reset button.
- 31:19And I was like, Oh my God. So I was like, sighs.
- 31:24I was upset normally I try not to be like a Shutterbug but I
- 31:28definitely was when he. Yeah, I was like I like it where
- 31:33you take rapid fire photos and your you just hold the shutter
- 31:37barrel and and you're like one of these is going to be good
- 31:40when I go back and look at it, right.
- 31:42Okay. I've done before because
- 31:44sometimes people like they'll come up with things on the Fly
- 31:47and you can see like a lot of its anticipation.
- 31:50Into you start to like figure out pacing not on their level
- 31:55obviously like you start to figure it out and you kind of
- 31:57put two and two together when they're like, getting ready to
- 32:00set up. So sometimes if I can see
- 32:02they're getting ready to do something big, I like press the
- 32:04shutter down, but not always know and hope I'd hope you get
- 32:09the moment. Yeah, I mean it's sometimes it
- 32:14doesn't work but it was great. That was amazing.
- 32:17I was like, I got to get this for my dad.
- 32:20But hey, if I don't my dad's gonna be mad, are you kidding?
- 32:26You meant to talk that. So that's why I always get when
- 32:29people like, oh, you work in the wrestling thing and they go look
- 32:31at my photos and like, the people I met, I'm like, yeah, if
- 32:34if you, if I wouldn't wish, I would have taken more photos
- 32:36because the people I didn't meet the ones.
- 32:38I didn't get photos of because I was too afraid to ask for one.
- 32:47My God. Cool, like they're great but I
- 32:49never ask for photos. I social anxiety.
- 32:52Dictates absolutely not not so here's some other photos.
- 32:56I pulled up that. I just breathtaking the drive-in
- 33:00show. Oh, I love the clouds in the
- 33:03come, the clouds was so good. Even Furious is gear here just
- 33:07popping off of the blue and that mat in the greens.
- 33:10I can't, I, I can't stand it, it's great another great times
- 33:15and great. Photo, great, great photo.
- 33:18This is not doing it any justice, just like kind of
- 33:20looking at it because if you zoom in man, you can literally
- 33:23see like the details in the thing in his mouth.
- 33:25It's amazing to my favorite people in the wrestling
- 33:27business, the neon blonds, I love them.
- 33:30So once again using the light in the background, getting that
- 33:34that glare looks amazing. All the Shadows, it is ABS.
- 33:37Look rip it apart. Here's one of the most wholesome
- 33:39photos ever, but he's a job. He's being a giant scumbag, but
- 33:42this is where using your relationships and using your
- 33:46friendships in this. This and being there a lot
- 33:49captures, good moments because you can literally tell in this
- 33:52photo in the stupid smirk on his face that he made complete eye
- 33:56contact at his fucking with you. You probably don't want to pull
- 34:00it out yet. How is this?
- 34:08Dude doing a photo shoot. So if you're wanting for
- 34:12listening at home, this is a shot of Killian McMurphy who
- 34:15just probably slam. And a kit wrap to the mat.
- 34:18There's a beautiful mountainous backdrop, Justin's talking shit
- 34:22in the background and killing looks like he's at JCPenney,
- 34:25just taking a photo. I can tell he's posing, right?
- 34:36And it look at me and hope you like and he's like, definitely
- 34:40throw poses out. He's and that is the brilliant
- 34:43move of just Killian in general because I once again this I
- 34:49don't want to, I don't, but that's a sanctuary move.
- 34:51When you're at the sanctuary, you're taught find the cameras.
- 34:54Yeah. Get the shot that's Killian fine
- 34:56on the camera but also knowing that Probably knows who you are
- 34:59because you're, you know, you kids, you're good at what you
- 35:01do. And he's like, I guarantee, if I
- 35:03look up paging to be right where she needs to be.
- 35:05And then there's the shot, Thunderbird, I tried to, I
- 35:08always tell people like out, listen, I'll catch you, okay?
- 35:11Like I always do, I always make it a point.
- 35:13I try and get people even photos of, like, people in their
- 35:18element walking around interacting interacting with the
- 35:21other person. But like, got any big moves.
- 35:23Let me know. You know.
- 35:24Like if you were I need to be. But yeah, I just just from this
- 35:28Experience here. I just I need one thing from
- 35:30you. You need to make albums of
- 35:32shows. You go to because there's two
- 35:34thousand photos of one folder and I'm dropping me.
- 35:37Crazy make albums. This is this is this promotion?
- 35:41This is this promotion. I do.
- 35:43Why are you on my phone? Are you on my Facebook for time
- 35:46on your business page? They should be an album.
- 35:49Now they're all in just one big upload folder.
- 35:52I don't love that. I'm gonna have to fix that
- 35:54because I do I go through and I sort them.
- 35:56That's one thing that promotions have also told me they're like,
- 35:59we love that you do that because we are not sorting through
- 36:05thousands hundred photos. That's another, another amazing
- 36:08photo. This is like a before-and-after.
- 36:10So this is before Yes, there's a Dina and Coach just killing the
- 36:16game. Now, this is after right.
- 36:19So in this moment she is doing a suicide dive with a broken in
- 36:25three spots collar bomb. I know it's like, oh my God,
- 36:30she's super human. Yeah, a Dana Steele, just once
- 36:33again and this is this is a venue where it's essentially.
- 36:36Just there's no special lighting, no special reading.
- 36:38This is just natural longing and making it look amazing.
- 36:42It's not in your photos. You're not making the place look
- 36:46unrealistic either, because there's some people who take
- 36:49photos and you're like, that's not the same venue.
- 36:51I watch the show, you know what I mean?
- 36:53Like, it's like, where did you pull this out of.
- 36:56So that's, that's another thing. So here's a question.
- 36:59How much of your photo is the natural photo and how much of it
- 37:03is post-editing? Because there's people who do
- 37:04that as well, who will take a photo and almost make it look
- 37:07like it did even was taken in the same place.
- 37:09You don't do that. I feel like you it.
- 37:11You you bring out. The venue more than you, do add
- 37:14to it and post editing. Because I think a lot of people
- 37:16spend more time in the editing process and they do in the
- 37:18actual photo taking this is true.
- 37:24A lot of it honestly is just color grading to the temperature
- 37:28of the lights. So for example, I WC the colors.
- 37:31Always throw very red. They throw very warm because
- 37:34you've got very warm lights, and then you've got the red ropes
- 37:40and then you've got, it's like a light bulb.
- 37:42Blue. But so that's always going to
- 37:44throw more warm anyway. So most of my editing is color
- 37:49grading. Like I think the gym that smash
- 37:52was at those were coming out, I think they had tungsten Lighting
- 37:56in there. So they kind of sometimes would
- 37:58have liked a little bit of like a green tint.
- 38:00And then when you get the different Blues, they end up
- 38:02pulling a little bit more cooler tone.
- 38:04So that's mostly what I focus on is making sure.
- 38:08Not only is it accurate to The Venue, but it's accurate to
- 38:10people's skin tone. Their gear because like, that's
- 38:14my job. It's my job to make sure it
- 38:18looks like how it did when it was there.
- 38:20Like, I really try not to do even with portraits.
- 38:23I really, really try very hard not to do any kind of like, fine
- 38:28little editing, like fixing makeup, or like, anything like
- 38:32that unless they specifically asked me to, like, I fixed a
- 38:35homegirls eyeliner or two, but nothing ever like, I don't go
- 38:39out of my way to like change anything, but that's most of it
- 38:41is color grading. and sometimes there's a little bit of I don't
- 38:46even like to mess with the exposure because you don't need
- 38:49to, you really don't need to get these cameras up properly.
- 38:53You shouldn't have too great. I mean, that's 90.
- 38:56That's literally 90% of it. That's like, I've always like I
- 38:58said before, people ask me. How do you get that photo?
- 39:01Like, how did you edit it? Like, it's literally 90% in
- 39:04camera and if you pay attention to what file format, you're
- 39:08shooting into, you can retain a lot of that information.
- 39:12I need to go out with you one day when you go photo shooting
- 39:15and getting whatever. My camera and I want to pick
- 39:17your brain and learn more tricks.
- 39:18I'll probably never use photography but it's something I
- 39:20want to learn as like a side hobby like I have a camera and
- 39:23everything I just don't know what I'm doing with it.
- 39:25Like I took some photos, I sent you like a try concerts and
- 39:29local band shows and I don't think they were terrible but
- 39:32that exact know that was that's 100%.
- 39:34Just me trying to learn how to set the camera up that was no
- 39:37post-editing. That was just what came out of
- 39:39the camera, right? And I didn't know how to do
- 39:42anything. I mean, like it's it's
- 39:44overwhelming. I will give people.
- 39:45All that, like, it is incredibly overwhelming to, like, sit there
- 39:49and try and learn it. But like, for example, there's a
- 39:51guy on YouTube, his name is Jared polin.
- 39:54He literally, for almost every major camera.
- 39:56So, like, Canon Sony Nikon no pain hath.
- 40:01A devil is pretty sure that next to no rustlers understand what
- 40:05we actually do. After a show, we after we shoot
- 40:08a show, never was a my photos. You took it with the camera.
- 40:11It should be good to go. Yeah, I need my photos right
- 40:14now. Right now but like Jared polin.
- 40:18He for like Canon Sony Nikon. He literally has videos there
- 40:22like an hour-long, an hour and 20 minutes.
- 40:24He literally goes through every single setting on the camera and
- 40:27tells you what it's for. Why it's there his opinion on
- 40:32whether you should set it or not.
- 40:33And like, that's a really good Baseline and then you can start
- 40:36from there, you know what I mean?
- 40:38Like, you trying to do Google it, my photos aren't sharp.
- 40:41Yeah. There's Reddit threads upon
- 40:43Reddit threads and there's YouTube.
- 40:45Videos, there's master classes. There's all kinds of things and
- 40:49I watch all the time where they talk about that.
- 40:52So I mean speaking of that, probably Alex, if you're here
- 40:57hanging out, please do me a favor, go through her Facebook
- 40:59and find me two photos. I need, I need the one where she
- 41:03took of Devon taste in the locker room, it's like a
- 41:06portrait style shot. Well, that's on my Instagram and
- 41:08I need the photo of when she took photos of Mercedes Martinez
- 41:14and thunder Rosa coming out of the top.
- 41:15Tunnel at the one likes thrall, on my photography, Instagram,
- 41:19you can produce find those and send them to me if you can,
- 41:22please because they're two photos that I was trying to pull
- 41:24out because there's a cool thing going to pull up with that.
- 41:28Anthony Grace podcast is hey Paige.
- 41:29What advice would you give people starting out to being in
- 41:31photographer? Quit now, joking, just it
- 41:40honestly, dear doesn't matter. It doesn't matter, like start
- 41:45with what you can afford, honestly, like, don't go broke.
- 41:49You have to eventually put money into it, don't go broke for it
- 41:52and just learn your camera and take pictures all the time.
- 41:56That's how you're going to learn.
- 41:57That's how you're going to understand all this other
- 41:59setting works. And that's what looks best with
- 42:01this or like, understanding the sunny 16 rule you can read about
- 42:05it. All you want with your aperture,
- 42:07but until you actually go out and you take pictures in it, and
- 42:09you constantly are just taking Photos like honestly learn your
- 42:14gear and go out and take photo on your style, I would say to
- 42:18the think everyone everyone tries to recreate somebody else.
- 42:22I think that's an any industry as someone tries to be the next
- 42:24something else be the first you, you know, I mean because you can
- 42:27look at people's photos and you can you can tell when someone's
- 42:31trying to take a photo, it looks like a page photo, but a page
- 42:34photo at an airplane had photo or two different photos and
- 42:37they're both gorgeous photos. Like everyone has their style.
- 42:40Everyone has the what they look for in a shot?
- 42:43Just find your Niche. There's a guy who comes to
- 42:45wrestling show and I'm so sorry. I forget his name.
- 42:47I'm sure they'll somebody will tell me that yet.
- 42:49This dude shows up with like the old school style cameras and he
- 42:55shoots every show with these old old cameras and text.
- 43:00Yeah. And they're they're cool because
- 43:02it makes it literally makes a show in 2022 and 2023 look like
- 43:07he's shooting it in the 90s and it's super good shots.
- 43:12Yeah. It's really good shots of that.
- 43:14Like he what is his name so bad because I hate him.
- 43:19Erich Schaefer. Yes, he was sick.
- 43:22I was checking my camera which don't do that during the band
- 43:26show or wrestling show. Don't they call, I can't,
- 43:29there's a term for it, just wait till after the show but I was
- 43:32like checking a photo and he's like, man, I have to wait like
- 43:35two weeks to get more back and walk must be nice.
- 43:40So when he gets really, really good shots all the time and Is
- 43:43he's another example of somebody that just knows how to find
- 43:46moments. Hmm and cabinets.
- 43:48So cool, because they're so right there.
- 43:49Like retro looking photos and theirs.
- 43:51They're beautiful. They're so good.
- 43:53It's really and that's something you have been doing as well.
- 43:56Like at at the at the bar we were at the one night you were
- 44:00pulling out like old school film and all school can like you've
- 44:04been kind of going like yard sales and like like flea markets
- 44:07and finding old school cameras in the scene did antique and
- 44:11estate sales. I tried I don't like going there
- 44:15kind of morbid to be honest, like but I like go and I
- 44:20genuinely Hannah died and you're like going through her property
- 44:22and by know it feels really uncomfortable.
- 44:25You're keeping your keeping that that piece of history alive and
- 44:30not only you keeping it alive. But like you legit, you're not
- 44:32taking it all Cameron just putting on a shelf.
- 44:34Like now, you're fixing it up, your cleaning it, and you're
- 44:37using it. And you're bringing like so,
- 44:39essentially, you can take that same camera, find a Resetting in
- 44:43Lightroom or adobe that essentially like that style of
- 44:47photographer like first that camera and put it on your photo
- 44:50but it's not the same. No there's little tiny minutiae
- 44:55that go into it. But yeah, like I love going and
- 44:58finding those cameras that film camera was using at the bar that
- 45:01was actually my paps camera. That's so cool.
- 45:04Like gave to me after he passed. So it's really cool to carry it
- 45:07around. I get nervous having it out
- 45:10around because like, that's all I got in my path.
- 45:12But But it feels really nice to take photos with it.
- 45:15Like he actually still had a roll of film in it that I have
- 45:19none. Alex is 70 some photos of their
- 45:22thing and he sent me extra ones which is beautiful because
- 45:25that's another great thing about like photography is I can ask
- 45:28someone to send me their favorite shots, you've taken,
- 45:30and they're taken my take or two different things because what
- 45:33they see in the photo, but they're all great pictures.
- 45:34I'm loading up right now, but this is probably going to put
- 45:37some dumb meme up there. He picked two of himself.
- 45:41I also say that. Yeah, so I have a few other ones
- 45:47that I pulled up real quick. This is a beautiful track.
- 45:54Smoke and the lights, and her gear and like everything just
- 45:58pops in this photo. Beautiful photo, she's another
- 46:02good entranceway shot. That's beautiful.
- 46:06The light that Cole Carter. Yes.
- 46:08Or coleslaw if you're not his fan and IWC.
- 46:12So, okay, you know a kid is a kid.
- 46:15He's talented. I don't know why NXT let him go.
- 46:17I think that was a mistake. Another great shot here.
- 46:21Matt Damon. It's Alex.
- 46:24Yeah, that looks like the smoke and the lights lasers.
- 46:27Look so good in about you. Where is this promotion?
- 46:31This is there. It Marx's Court time.
- 46:33It's in Elizabeth PA. So it's outside of Pittsburgh by
- 46:39think like an hour maybe if they're ever doing this show and
- 46:42I'm not booked, I want to go see one of their shows this place.
- 46:44Looks so cool. They're a lot of fun like to do
- 46:47on media, Jeremy klingensmith and his wife.
- 46:52They put a lot of effort into the lighting, the atmosphere,
- 46:57the spotlight, like all the camera work, they put a lot of
- 47:00effort into it, they're great, they're amazing.
- 47:03So here's here's the Or I requested of.
- 47:06I know you, this was a triple threat match.
- 47:08In my opinion, I was jealous that I never got to see this
- 47:11match Live and Not only, I didn't know you were there live,
- 47:14but you were taking photos of this moment.
- 47:16It was a triple threat match between Thunder, Rosa Dianna
- 47:19preso and Mercedes Martinez. What at the time and still today
- 47:24are three of the best women wrestlers in the planet.
- 47:27All going at it. Now this I'm getting chills
- 47:30thinking about it. So this is this is where this is
- 47:32where I'm gonna put Paige over super hard page.
- 47:35Was at this event, and she didn't have the opportunity to
- 47:37ringside. No, that's not.
- 47:39That's not stopping page page. And she's wrestling's.
- 47:42This is how smart breast pages, and, and here's the thing, if
- 47:46you're a wrestling fan, it's one thing, but if you are a person
- 47:50who's a wrestling fan, but also knows the backstage and goes
- 47:53backstage, and has those opportunities to be back there.
- 47:56There's a moment, there's a gap in professional wrestling that
- 47:59no one really gets to experience, and that's curtain
- 48:03to ring. Right before that.
- 48:06Curtain are right as they come out of curtain.
- 48:08There's a transformation that happens and every time I'm
- 48:11getting goose bumps right now because every time I think about
- 48:13it, people don't realize how powerful that moment is in
- 48:17professional wrestling. When it right before wrestler,
- 48:19hits that curtain and they turn into what they're going to
- 48:22present themselves to a crowd and, and some wrestlers will
- 48:27walk out and do that a little bit to the crowd and, and kind
- 48:30of give them a tease. But here's, here's a Captured
- 48:34Moment. Of that.
- 48:35This is literally Thunder. Rosa just hit the curtain and
- 48:39she's she's essentially transfer mating.
- 48:41She's turning into Thunder Rolls like she's hit the curtain,
- 48:44she's there but this is just like capturing that moment and
- 48:47there's a whole bunch of more photos that she has taken, that
- 48:49was kind of like on one side of the curtain and then on the
- 48:52other side of the curtain and they are the coolest moments of
- 48:56professional wrestling. I wish more photographers like,
- 49:00listen, it's really important to be ringside and get those shots.
- 49:03But if I'm ring-like here's the thing, if I'm a wrestler
- 49:06photographer, There's something that just drives me crazy.
- 49:09Those people who are trying to film the show and there's people
- 49:11trying to take photos of the show.
- 49:13And when they're 758 photographers ringside, it looks
- 49:16like a new Japan show and there's just light, bulbs going
- 49:18off and everyone's fighting over a spot, right?
- 49:21That's not where all the action is.
- 49:24Get the shot. Get shots from the crowd, get
- 49:26shots from a bleacher, get shots like someone be backstage, dude,
- 49:30a shot of someone getting in their gear, is just as powerful
- 49:34as a shot of someone jumping off a top rope.
- 49:37There's a ghost. Yeah, there's so many places you
- 49:40can put yourself in a wrestling show to get moments that are
- 49:43wrestler, like I'm telling you if you if you literally take a
- 49:46photo be mindful because sometimes backstage as wrestlers
- 49:49who are in masks, who don't want to write what to see them but
- 49:52even I don't know. Because they have a lot of
- 49:57respect. And there's also some wrestlers
- 50:00that you would say like hey I can take a photo of you like,
- 50:03you know, in prep mode. And this will never be seen by
- 50:06general public. And those wrestlers might want
- 50:08those photos to, and it really comes down to the photographer,
- 50:11talking to the talent and becoming comfortable with a
- 50:14talent and them trusting you that you're not going to put
- 50:16things out that's backstage at, they might not want IWC.
- 50:19Like they there will be times where there will be people that
- 50:22come through. Names, but they're there.
- 50:25And they're like training with everybody on their talking to
- 50:28everybody and they really love those photos but they know like,
- 50:33I'm not gonna like post them anyway.
- 50:35Yeah, it's very, very personal, but it's really like, they're
- 50:39the moments that people don't realize that are probably for
- 50:42the talent more special to them than the ones in the ring.
- 50:46It's a big full circle thing. For a lot of them.
- 50:49I think because you'll see their photos for example.
- 50:54Chris hero he helps out at IWC but he'll be there and he'll
- 50:57help people. You can tell their people that
- 50:59like I don't want to say like they've known like before they
- 51:02started training they're like Chris hero and he wasn't one of
- 51:04the guys that they watch and then being able to like maybe
- 51:08talk to him and like get his opinion on stuff.
- 51:11It's a big full circle moment for them so it's really nice to
- 51:15look at. I just looked up and realize our
- 51:1651 minutes. Holy cow, this is awesome.
- 51:20This is this is another photo. If you made This locker room,
- 51:24look cooler than it actually looks.
- 51:26But this is once again, an amazing backstage.
- 51:29So instead of setting up her area, you know, out in the
- 51:33middle of nowhere and using the backdrop or like a lot of people
- 51:35bring she essentially set up in the locker room and I love how
- 51:39you use the locker with zap taped on it.
- 51:42I don't know. Like that just makes this photo
- 51:44for me, but I wanted it is and all those tattoos.
- 51:49And the way the light hits and you can read all of his tattoos
- 51:52like what a great porch. Hurt like that that is better
- 51:55than just a backdrop photo all day long.
- 51:58That's using your environment. That's beautiful.
- 52:00I love the blue. The blue is actually from it was
- 52:04dark outside so that's the flash reflecting off of it was some
- 52:10kind of weird. It was some weird color.
- 52:13What was it? It's actually from the light
- 52:16coming outside and I thought it was really cool because I saw it
- 52:18because he has that orange gear, and then he has the blue
- 52:20mouthpiece. Yeah, I didn't want to set up in
- 52:23there. I was really nervous because
- 52:24there was a math. I don't know what happened.
- 52:27The mommy says a Kamala also. Thank you SM for subscribing.
- 52:31People have used your first time on the YouTube side of your
- 52:33watching. This somewhere else, I am trying
- 52:36to grow on the YouTube sides, but I'm at the point now.
- 52:38I'm not even thank you for subscribing.
- 52:40Sorry. Yeah.
- 52:43There was like, I don't know what happened.
- 52:45I don't know. The flooded or what, but there
- 52:47was like some standing water in there.
- 52:49So, like Alex was there, Andrew is there.
- 52:51I was like, pushing cords up, hanging them up, like, I'm not
- 52:54trying to electrocute nobody right now but those are some of
- 52:57my favorite portraits of him. Philly.
- 53:00Mike, those are some of my favorites for sure.
- 53:03Yeah, using the locker. Here's some fun here, some
- 53:05portraits that someone thought was really, really good.
- 53:07I agree with him. Good for portraits.
- 53:14The Pearl in the middle of the block away.
- 53:23I don't know what this photo is, so maybe there's a story behind
- 53:26it. Okay, Jesus.
- 53:31Your phone. We were at about a Hannah
- 53:36convention and Alex, please correct me if I'm wrong, but it
- 53:40was a gaming convention but the people that run it there
- 53:43actually other therapists, it's for a really good, cause they
- 53:47actually a lot of people there. They build board games and the
- 53:51one that they're building. Now, it was for assisting
- 53:54individuals with autism with like different skills but
- 53:58they're doing with their learning them all playing a
- 54:00game. So, this is during a break, I
- 54:02was done taking Candidates for the day.
- 54:05And we were waiting for a panel to finish because he had a hard
- 54:09camp set up in there, and we were just outside messing around
- 54:13and he was like, there was a joke there.
- 54:16I can't remember what it was just crying for a second.
- 54:19You know, he posed. I was like, his, he had his, he
- 54:23was making a joke. He's like himself heart and I'm
- 54:25like, oh, Norm H TW. Well, like, when he posed.
- 54:28I was like, do that again. But, like, tell me to shut up.
- 54:31Tell me to shut up and he did and it came out.
- 54:34Really really well. And he wanted me to get rid of
- 54:36it and I was like absolutely not.
- 54:38Well he picked it. There you go.
- 54:39Here's a photo that is super cool and I think the lighting is
- 54:42dope, everything's cold but there's one other moment in this
- 54:44photo that I think Alex picked a really.
- 54:46Well, look at the ham. I'm sorry.
- 54:49I okay, that's Duke and Gannon. Duke is the one that's jumping
- 54:52right now. His hairs everywhere again, in
- 54:53is the one that's standing this photo.
- 54:56Like we're going in timea, it used to be the maid of them, but
- 55:02they shortened it to you this way that use that.
- 55:04Main Event. Mmm.
- 55:05Yeah, not to be confused with the other Main Event.
- 55:09Actually, wrestled Main Event versus Main Event in a main
- 55:11events. At this isn't wrestle.
- 55:14Rex. Last year, this is my first time
- 55:17shooting wrestle Rex, this photo went in and out of my recycling
- 55:20bin, I think three times because I loved it, but I was like, it's
- 55:25not straight his hairs cut off, but I kept it and it is easily
- 55:30one of my favorite photos of all time because, especially Duke,
- 55:33when he comes out. Out.
- 55:34He's like what I think he's like 65 or so, he's huge.
- 55:39He's they both are but like when they come out like the crowd the
- 55:43energy is unmatched and Duke like jumps into the crowd and
- 55:47he's whipping his towel around and like that is just, I don't
- 55:51know. I think it really accurately
- 55:53captures his energy. Now here's a question, here's a
- 55:55question for you, you're a photographer, right?
- 55:58You're being, you're either being paid her.
- 55:59I'm not sure what the situation but your ringside photography.
- 56:03This is also a Well, we're all the fans are ringside.
- 56:07Yes, how do you navigate that? So this particular show, I had
- 56:14my own so the end table, please, she's happy and she's ready to
- 56:18go. When you came down to the ring,
- 56:21the little entryway. There were two empty spots and
- 56:25on the other side wrestling with unicorns was kind of working
- 56:28around the ring but then the one sliver.
- 56:32What is I'm so bad with? Names.
- 56:34It is embarrassing Howard. He used to shoot at ECW a lot
- 56:38like a lot of their photos Howard took, he was there.
- 56:41He's friends with a lot of the people that were wrestling in
- 56:44the people that were running the show, but we were just stuck
- 56:47right there in that little spot and occasionally, like, I'd
- 56:50sneak up next to somebody with wrestling with unicorns.
- 56:52Like, I'm so sorry. Tell me to go away too.
- 56:56But that's you best, you get like a little designated spot,
- 56:59but there were a couple shots of Saint Adonis and psycho clown.
- 57:04They were up in the benches you like move out into the crowd a
- 57:08little bit. So it's all about I like to get
- 57:11to the ring early to kind of like right.
- 57:13If I know I'm going to be taking test shots or like if there's
- 57:17someone I know that in there like practicing I'm like, hey,
- 57:21give me a jump or like it, the ropes and like, I'll just kind
- 57:24of quietly test and see what my settings should be based off of
- 57:27that, but I personally love that show.
- 57:29I love the crowd being up against the ring.
- 57:32It's like, it's cool show to watch like that.
- 57:34At, I like watching shows with the correct slot and I like,
- 57:36especially if the crowd has to do a moment where they're going
- 57:40to do a dive or they're going to do something crazy like that,
- 57:42that's where the like they kind of have to like everyone back up
- 57:45back up. Like, I kind of like that moment
- 57:47where they the talent move the crowd out, like we're going to
- 57:50do something everyone scatter and then you can have those
- 57:52moments where it looks like skin move move, move it.
- 57:54Get out of Cher's. There's a couple people that are
- 57:56like, oh my gosh. Yeah, well like with the heels,
- 57:59like move out of the way. I'm gonna throw him in the
- 58:01chair. There have been a couple photos.
- 58:06It's mostly for looking at it. I WC B.
- 58:11Looks like I'm going to throw them out here and he like brings
- 58:13them out around and just throws it back in the ring and he's
- 58:15like, you look stupid. Those are photos to get were the
- 58:20crowds like horrified, he's going to throw somebody but then
- 58:23they're like betrayed and disappointed that he felt like
- 58:26just that crowd switchover or like whenever I used to take
- 58:30shots around the back side of the ring at IWC, which I think I
- 58:32might start doing again. So, when they're doing their
- 58:35rounds, when they're first coming out, like just seeing the
- 58:37Sea of people separated by like, a little, tiny barricade, and
- 58:41then someone, they either love or like really can't stand.
- 58:45Yeah. It just seeing all the different
- 58:47reactions through the crowd and like, the heel or the face.
- 58:51They're like, hey, I'm the last photo we have that Alex picked
- 58:56her jacket. Yeah, that's right.
- 59:00That's like, that's a curtain shot.
- 59:01That's coming. That was I think she was waiting
- 59:06for people to come back like the match before hand had just
- 59:10finished. And she was waiting for people
- 59:11to come back and they would love in her match, and she was
- 59:15getting warmed up. One of these was, now when I get
- 59:18my set up with my GoPros and I'm at a wrestling show, I don't
- 59:21know exactly where how, or when I'm going to do it, but I want
- 59:25to have a GoPro set up. Just at gorilla like facing the
- 59:31curtain before they come out. Yeah, just have it.
- 59:34Accord, I just have someone like just kind of before and after
- 59:36matches have someone go back and like start it and stop it, but
- 59:39just get those moment. Like just like probably never
- 59:42put them on public unless the wrestlers wants it but just kind
- 59:44of maybe just send it to the wrestler.
- 59:46First, I'm like, are you cool with this?
- 59:47But because I think that's such a cool spot that people just
- 59:52miss out on and wrestling. Yeah, I just thought that that
- 59:56zone and it's and the reason why I'm saying like I want to film
- 59:59there, but also I don't because it is a very personable, it's
- 1:00:02very private like I have it moment, you know what I mean?
- 1:00:05Like, but it's such a powerful area right there.
- 1:00:08Like, it is like, I mean, there's a lot of people.
- 1:00:10There are two very kayfabe like a Trestle Kate.
- 1:00:14You kind of got an idea of like who wasn't who was cool with it,
- 1:00:21but like most people really cool with it but I don't know, you
- 1:00:25kind of get a feel for it like some people give you a look like
- 1:00:28please don't, you know what I mean?
- 1:00:30And other people like C W Anderson.
- 1:00:34Is really cool for me. And he was like, I got a
- 1:00:38wrestling shows and then like it's kind of more and this is
- 1:00:42not me throwing shade. So people are trying to dissect
- 1:00:44that. I'm not but maybe I guess I am a
- 1:00:46little bit, I don't know, it just like.
- 1:00:50So what I do when I got this business, right?
- 1:00:53I come in and I go to every event and every show as a
- 1:00:56content creator, but I've tried to be respectful, right?
- 1:01:00And I think, like, a lot of people now are coming into the
- 1:01:02industry, whether it I think right now, the wrestling
- 1:01:07industry is in a weird state where like there's a handful of
- 1:01:11podcast creators are like content creators who have been
- 1:01:14welcomed into a show and then maybe people like me who have
- 1:01:17done it the right way and have been respectful, have opened the
- 1:01:20doors for others to get opportunities to do this or
- 1:01:23like, because moments of like Pat McAfee or they're starting
- 1:01:26to see on TV, that bring these outside content creators in
- 1:01:29because it could help bring exposure.
- 1:01:31Then some people come in and they don't Have that respect and
- 1:01:35they just stick cameras everywhere and they do things
- 1:01:37and they go to spots and they act a certain way and it's just
- 1:01:41kind of like you can tell when a wrestler is not comfortable with
- 1:01:45the interaction because there was no like you haven't really
- 1:01:47earned that respect yet and you can tell on camera if you're if
- 1:01:51you're smart to the business that like they're not
- 1:01:54comfortable, what you're what you're doing you know what I
- 1:01:56mean? Like and then those moments or
- 1:01:58the reason why people like me don't get invited to certain
- 1:02:00spots because that one person comes in and just fucking does
- 1:02:03whatever they want. Because To get content for
- 1:02:04themselves, but they're not thinking of the entire.
- 1:02:07Because, like, when you walk into a show or a locker room or
- 1:02:09wrestling promotion, you have to put your content secondary and
- 1:02:14and you have to put the respect and the teamwork of ab wrestling
- 1:02:17promotion first. And I think that's where like,
- 1:02:20someone like me kind of stands out of being welcomed into the
- 1:02:24locker rooms and being welcomed back stage and being welcomed to
- 1:02:26do what I do because I I'm not going to blow up people spots
- 1:02:30and talk about it. But also like, then you have
- 1:02:33that one guy. Who walks in and just fucking
- 1:02:35guy, our girl walks in and just kind of shits on everything
- 1:02:38because they're, they're putting themselves first over the
- 1:02:41promotion and then it, ruins it for everybody.
- 1:02:44Well, I always like a big thing for me, especially being.
- 1:02:47And I hate to bring this into it, but especially me being a
- 1:02:49female. I am I am, especially, very
- 1:02:55conscious of the fact that Like I don't want to say, I'm looked
- 1:03:01at a different way because I'm really not like I'm one of the
- 1:03:04dudes essentially but also I'm a female.
- 1:03:07So personally I don't like to be in locker rooms like wherever,
- 1:03:11like, even like it Smash, If I'm handing out of shot list, I
- 1:03:15darted or I have someone running into it for me because I just
- 1:03:18I'm not supposed to be there. Like, to me, this is i-i'm
- 1:03:22genuinely. Very good friends with a lot of
- 1:03:24the people I work with. But like, when I'm there, I'm
- 1:03:26working and we're all professionals and like It's not
- 1:03:30yeah. Like you show up and talk to
- 1:03:32your friends and chitchat and things like that but it's not.
- 1:03:35It's I take it very seriously and very yeah, like
- 1:03:39professionally. So I really and I'm always
- 1:03:42cognizant of the fact that like I'm there as a service to the
- 1:03:48talent and the people running the show.
- 1:03:50Like it's I'm they're not getting booked around me, I'm
- 1:03:53getting booked around them, like I'm there to do service for the
- 1:03:56perfect, you know, to bring. So you're there to get.
- 1:03:59Get your photos and your moments and put Page, watchi Photography
- 1:04:04on the bottom corner of your photos.
- 1:04:06But when you need to do that, you need to handle it a certain
- 1:04:10way to get it done. So my my kind of take is sure I
- 1:04:14get invited to these locker rooms and I get invited
- 1:04:16backstage. So instead of sticking a camera
- 1:04:19in people's faces for almost a year and a half, I didn't tell
- 1:04:24anyone like that. I did a podcast or I didn't shut
- 1:04:26down people's necks or I didn't do anything.
- 1:04:28I just became Friends. And I've earned my spot and I
- 1:04:31put my content in my brand backwards and promoted the
- 1:04:34people that I was around and the promotion's.
- 1:04:36I worked for first great. And then I made connections and
- 1:04:40friendships and then they were like you, I'd love to come talk
- 1:04:43to you on your podcast and then when I have an interview with
- 1:04:46somebody, this is why my interview stand out that other
- 1:04:49interviews because I have a genuine connection with most of
- 1:04:51the people, I talked to Great honestly.
- 1:04:54Like that's what it all comes down to.
- 1:04:56I just gave you is all the secret to a BJ.
- 1:04:58It's It's a lot of networking like yeah it just basic human
- 1:05:04decency and respect. Like if I ever for example, if I
- 1:05:08ever tell us about policy and procedures, Okay, that's for my
- 1:05:12shoe job. It's actually about to get
- 1:05:17that's actually the policy and procedures of high-tension
- 1:05:19wrestling right there. Yeah, it's yellow and it's a
- 1:05:21warning sign saying, Alex, don't go there No.
- 1:05:26But like, even if I have to walk through like, if you literally
- 1:05:29have to walk through a locker room for any reason, I try not
- 1:05:33to have my camera. If I do, I have a lens cap on it
- 1:05:35and it's pointed down, its, I'm always very cognizant because,
- 1:05:39like, I've been in very uncomfortable situations and I'm
- 1:05:43just very cognizant, I do not want anybody else.
- 1:05:46Who feel that way? Like, no, you know what?
- 1:05:49I first time ever getting invited to a show was GSW, there
- 1:05:53was one female in the Posture and that female use the same
- 1:05:58locker room as everybody else and they're comfortable because
- 1:06:01they do it every weekend. And I remember sending my camera
- 1:06:03because I was the only spot were able to film and we set our
- 1:06:05camera. We have like this, what?
- 1:06:06We got our spot in the locker room, we're going to have our
- 1:06:08spot, we're going to interviews and then we kind of looked
- 1:06:10around and we see in like this is where everyone is changing.
- 1:06:12And we have a camera here and I hope that Brian.
- 1:06:14And then like the female Talent came in and I was like, let's
- 1:06:18dance, let's dip because I'm new, I didn't want to make any
- 1:06:21like so I left like, whenever one shake is my first time ever
- 1:06:24there. R and then I literally went
- 1:06:26back, I go Brian let's just pack up he goes what do you mean?
- 1:06:28I said we didn't get one piece of content, that was my
- 1:06:31first-ever wrestling promotion, right?
- 1:06:34But first time ever like working with a wrestling friend like oh
- 1:06:36you didn't get anything and I was like, the only place I had
- 1:06:39to shoot was the locker room and I feel like I haven't earned
- 1:06:42that yet and I don't and I don't want to make people
- 1:06:43uncomfortable up, who's this new guy with a camera back here and
- 1:06:46people are having conversations and going over matches and and
- 1:06:49talking personal stuff because it was a reunions show and
- 1:06:52everybody was comfortable and I was like, that's not a spot.
- 1:06:54The camera should be and that was my first time ever being in
- 1:06:58the business. But having that wherewithal to
- 1:06:59be like pack it up, we're not getting continent.
- 1:07:01Let's go enjoy the show and then we did a car ride home review of
- 1:07:05the show we watch. And that was our content, right?
- 1:07:08I mean, like, there have been candids I've seen where there
- 1:07:12are people literally in half stages of like, undress in the
- 1:07:15background. That's so crazy.
- 1:07:16And I just don't if you're doing any type of editing and you're
- 1:07:21going through your photos and you see that take Get out.
- 1:07:25Like I wouldn't even put myself in that situation in the first
- 1:07:28place. I've seen people take photos of
- 1:07:30people backstage and there's a clearly person who's not in
- 1:07:36masks in a photo. Yeah, that bugs the crap out of
- 1:07:41me. That's also part of the reason
- 1:07:42why I decided to move the portrait area, I actually felt
- 1:07:46really bad. What was the gentleman's name?
- 1:07:49That was at that outbreak show. We were deluged.
- 1:07:52What was his name? We're toast.
- 1:07:55Call me on mortis, yes, I felt really bad.
- 1:07:58I had my, I didn't know he went back there to change and I was
- 1:08:00like, let me know when you're done.
- 1:08:02Like my camera sucks. Gonna stay out here.
- 1:08:03He's like, oh my gosh. No, it's fine.
- 1:08:04I said no genuinely. I can wait not a big deal.
- 1:08:07Like just let me know when you're done.
- 1:08:09He said later, I appreciated that to write.
- 1:08:11I was, I was there when you said it and I was there when he came
- 1:08:13out and like gave you props for that.
- 1:08:16Well, in another, it's just a respect thing.
- 1:08:18Like I my photos can. Wait, it's okay.
- 1:08:22It's okay. I have a promo list but like I'm
- 1:08:25quick at it. Yeah.
- 1:08:26So that's you as a brand as someone who's working just as
- 1:08:30hard to put your brand over, putting the promotion and the
- 1:08:33talent before yourself and I think that's who books.
- 1:08:37Exactly. You know I wish more people knew
- 1:08:39that Snot like and you can still like it's not.
- 1:08:45Not all I want to describe this. Someone's like it feels like I'm
- 1:08:47not respecting myself and know. You are by virtue of respecting
- 1:08:53Other Bar bro that's only going to get ahead as kind of stepping
- 1:08:56on our just now yourself first. No it's not tell you wrestling
- 1:09:00and music is very small and like real talk.
- 1:09:04They all talk if you walk into a locker when you're disrespectful
- 1:09:07idiot and don't know what you're doing.
- 1:09:09Like, everyone's going to talk about it.
- 1:09:10I like I'm really not trying to be rude about it and but
- 1:09:13honestly, like Just err on the side of caution like just don't
- 1:09:17do it. Just don't like, Howard.
- 1:09:20I know he was taking portraits out in the alley behind wrestle
- 1:09:23Rex but he's known all of these people 10 plus, 20, plus years.
- 1:09:27And even then he is like tell you what?
- 1:09:29Meet me because I know you're getting yourself on, like, don't
- 1:09:31worry about it. Like meet me out in the alley
- 1:09:33will do will do portraits, so it's just really about
- 1:09:36respecting other people. Yeah, I think that was a.
- 1:09:38I'm glad we had that conversation and I think there's
- 1:09:40a lot of people who listen, you can have your camera set up, you
- 1:09:43can do everything but I think if you're going To get in any
- 1:09:45industry or business. That's what you have to do
- 1:09:48first, like, I understand it might be your first time there
- 1:09:51and it might be like, our here's my opportunity as a photographer
- 1:09:53to get cool things, but keep that in mind when you're working
- 1:09:57at a show or a promotion or something is like, maybe build
- 1:10:01the introduce yourself as a photographer or as a content
- 1:10:05creator or just make sure you're getting your content in a
- 1:10:10respectful manner. Like, if you're booked ringside,
- 1:10:13you're going to get content. Like you're booked for
- 1:10:16portraits. They are telling them.
- 1:10:18Hey, I paid for portraits. Like Alex says this brush, says
- 1:10:23this. I paid for portraits.
- 1:10:26I paid for ringside, like I need you guys to go do this.
- 1:10:29Like, if you're going to get your content you know, I think
- 1:10:33that's the thing too is sometimes promotions and I could
- 1:10:37I fall in the same category as a photographer.
- 1:10:40Sometimes like, listen as a content creator.
- 1:10:42If I'm not booked for commentary or I'm not booked for something
- 1:10:44sure. I'd love to get content from
- 1:10:46myself but sometimes wrestling promotions.
- 1:10:49They also over flood and over saturate that one job and not
- 1:10:53everyone's getting paid. So they're just like hey content
- 1:10:56creators everyone on the brother come and then we're all fighting
- 1:10:59for the same two pieces of content and then it gets not
- 1:11:02like ugly but it's like weird to go around for everybody and then
- 1:11:06like a promotional be like here's 17 photographers all
- 1:11:09fighting for the one corner spot you know what I mean?
- 1:11:11And sometimes more is not always good.
- 1:11:15If you're going to book multiple people in the same industry
- 1:11:19assign people spots like, hey, I need you to be ringside, I need
- 1:11:23you for this, I need you for that, because here's what.
- 1:11:25Here's, what drives me kind of crazy.
- 1:11:27Is what's the one thing wrestling promotions always are
- 1:11:31upset about if someone runs in a town, close to them are some
- 1:11:35ones to close. Their competition are of, they
- 1:11:38run the same weekend as me. They get generally upset because
- 1:11:41that's competition around them then they'll bring in 1440.
- 1:11:45Ographers and then wonder why there's drama at their show
- 1:11:47between the photographer's. I will bring 17 content creators
- 1:11:51in and they're just like well why can't everyone just get
- 1:11:53along? Why can't you run the same night
- 1:11:55as another promotion then like everyone still trying to do the
- 1:11:58right thing? You know, I mean like I've never
- 1:12:01had an issue working with other photographers ever.
- 1:12:04I've never had happened but other photographers can be big
- 1:12:07and I don't, I don't get it if anything.
- 1:12:10I think I'm too nice sometimes. Um, but like one thing, I think
- 1:12:15sometimes I can come across a little bossy because with
- 1:12:18ringside, I'm not going to sit here and say, it's really,
- 1:12:21really dangerous. You could break your neck.
- 1:12:23But honestly, like I've been doing it long enough.
- 1:12:27I know where people are going. I also know not to walk in front
- 1:12:29of hard Camp. So when I have to like every 20
- 1:12:33seconds, you're in hard camp or watch out like you have to kind
- 1:12:37of babysit. That's what I pull people aside
- 1:12:40and I say and if I'm a jerk for and I'm a jerk for it, I don't
- 1:12:43care. I don't want to see anybody's
- 1:12:44neck it bro. Broke or her talent because
- 1:12:46you're the wrong spot, right? I mean, like because they tell
- 1:12:50me their spots and it's nothing against you your new.
- 1:12:53They know that I've worked there.
- 1:12:54They know. Okay.
- 1:12:55Hey, like I got a tow page this so then when I pull someone
- 1:12:58aside and I say like hey you are in hard cam that's a No-No.
- 1:13:03Not even like I'm talking to a child like, hey, like, just
- 1:13:05watch out for her Camp talked to a couple people before to see.
- 1:13:09Like if they have any big spots, they want to give you and stick
- 1:13:12to Corners, like, stay out of the way of your roaming. camps,
- 1:13:15you know like that's I've never had an issue with it but it does
- 1:13:19happen. Like when there's multiple
- 1:13:21people there, I just think I've seen times where there's so many
- 1:13:24photographers ringside and wrestlers are trying to do stuff
- 1:13:26and they have to stop their, their spot or the you can see
- 1:13:29them and that's embarrassing. If I ever feel like they have to
- 1:13:32stop and be like, how am I gonna get around this chick.
- 1:13:34I duck like, I hit the floor, I don't care.
- 1:13:37I'll miss the shot. I'm not ruining.
- 1:13:39I almost didn't you go under the ring one time?
- 1:13:43A mighty and Jason Furious. Yeah, yes, it's fine.
- 1:13:49It's fine. Until your dog for your spots,
- 1:13:51but, no, I saw him coming and I saw the look on his face.
- 1:13:55He's like, Mages right there. What about throwing him?
- 1:13:58And I was like, it's okay. Did he came in?
- 1:14:04He came and asked me. He's like, are you all right?
- 1:14:06I'm fine. I do it.
- 1:14:08I WC all the time. Like as soon as I see them come
- 1:14:11to the corner. Or anything.
- 1:14:13I drop, I hit the floor, the joke on the headset is pager in
- 1:14:15the shock because like I'm always I do not want to be and I
- 1:14:18want to be very clear. This is not me or page saying
- 1:14:21that we don't welcome 185 content creators and 100 years.
- 1:14:25I get the more the merrier bring them all in.
- 1:14:28I'm just saying if you're going to come in as a photographer and
- 1:14:30you're going to come in as a content creator, just what we
- 1:14:33said earlier, you got to put the promotion and the talent before
- 1:14:37yourself and be mindful of that and it's it is not a
- 1:14:41competition. I understand.
- 1:14:42Trying to get content for your brand and everything like that
- 1:14:44and that's beautiful. But at the end of the day, if
- 1:14:46you're being brought in and there's nine hundred and fifty
- 1:14:48of us as content creators, we need to work together because
- 1:14:51our overall job is to put over the people who are working in
- 1:14:55that ring and the promotion who is paying the money to put that
- 1:14:59show on. It's not just about your brand,
- 1:15:01it's about the show, the more camera angles, the better like,
- 1:15:04yeah, Forest work side-by-side, it.
- 1:15:06I know you see all the time and like, I know like I've caught
- 1:15:09myself on headset being like a forest.
- 1:15:12Use them gazelle-like. So me, get over there.
- 1:15:14I can't, you know what I mean? And that's great though.
- 1:15:17Because like we both kind of go off of each other, like, will
- 1:15:20trade off. Do you want to get insurance
- 1:15:21through? You want to get insurance and a
- 1:15:23lot of it too. Is like, it's again, it's not
- 1:15:26dangerous thing ringside, but like the camber it, right?
- 1:15:29So it's I've been doing it long enough.
- 1:15:31I've gotten my like shit busted being ringside like I've gotten
- 1:15:36kicked in the shoulder, kicked in the face, like the whole
- 1:15:38nine. So like that's why.
- 1:15:40When I give you the and I tell These things.
- 1:15:43It's because I don't want you to have to go backstage and be
- 1:15:46like, I have a nosebleed or I crack my lens.
- 1:15:49Like, I really want you to avoid that.
- 1:15:51Yeah, like that's what it's why I say these things that's like,
- 1:15:54people bring it to you. They're just trying to help.
- 1:15:57Absolutely. So be open to it to me.
- 1:16:01So here's the end here for coming up to the end.
- 1:16:05I'm going to give it a couple of minutes.
- 1:16:06This is long on, I love it. If you guys have any questions
- 1:16:10before we get out of here, please use this opportunity.
- 1:16:12Ready now to do. So also once again make sure you
- 1:16:15check the links below to follow page on all social media and see
- 1:16:17her photos. And she does a beautiful
- 1:16:19beautiful job. There's so much more we could
- 1:16:21talk page. I could have you here for three
- 1:16:23hours. This is this is again where I
- 1:16:24try to keep a podcast to an hour and then bring everybody.
- 1:16:27I really care about it online, you know, I mean, but yeah.
- 1:16:30So I first of all want to thank you for doing this.
- 1:16:32It means it means the world to me.
- 1:16:34You are hands down and I know I probably say this every single
- 1:16:39time I'm on a podcast that you are one of my favorite people,
- 1:16:42but I'll I've been, I'm new to the game and I'm here since
- 1:16:45October and I have to get in a lot.
- 1:16:48A lot of people I truly truly care about because like I said,
- 1:16:50I made a lot of really cool people in a short amount of time
- 1:16:53in this industry and I haven't interviewed really.
- 1:16:57A lot of people that I didn't really know that much.
- 1:16:59I love those interviews. I love meeting new people so I
- 1:17:01don't want you to think. I'm just booking my friends.
- 1:17:03It is that not a lot of people are reaching out and I'm
- 1:17:06reaching out to my friends to come on, but seriously it every
- 1:17:10time we have moments and we have conversations, It's always a
- 1:17:13pleasure and and your hands down a bright spot in this business
- 1:17:17and I'm glad you're around. Thanks to you.
- 1:17:20That's right. Yes real quick.
- 1:17:21It's an hour and 17 minutes but we have to talk about slithering
- 1:17:25into the abyss, okay? Alex watt since you asked Ask.
- 1:17:30So they're going to be missed, it is a multimedia production
- 1:17:32company, so I want to start making films like feature films,
- 1:17:37short films. So that's where a lot of that
- 1:17:39content is going to start getting produced at.
- 1:17:41It is also where, when I go to different metal shows that I'm
- 1:17:46hook for this, oh yeah, we want to get your.
- 1:17:49So sometimes you're listening and you are fan of me and you
- 1:17:51know that I'm also kind of intertwined between professional
- 1:17:54wrestling and local music scene. If your band is on tour are
- 1:17:58you're going to be in a venue. Somewhere in Pennsylvania.
- 1:18:01Or if you're a venue in Pennsylvania, who needs a
- 1:18:03photographer for the event, please reach out to page.
- 1:18:07I'm giving you my stamp of approval.
- 1:18:09She's unbelievable. And she wants to add more music
- 1:18:12to her purr. For Leo portfolio.
- 1:18:14She has tons and tons of wrestling, and she's proven
- 1:18:16herself to be the top, if not the, like, the best in this area
- 1:18:20for that. She wants to add other stuff to
- 1:18:23her to her, to her resume. So if you need stuff done, if
- 1:18:27you need for Joe, what's up? What's the sexy photos if in
- 1:18:31lingerie? What do they call those?
- 1:18:34I love Valentine's Day is over. But you want to add a little
- 1:18:41cool. Little thing for your guy.
- 1:18:43I do. We know it's getting popular to
- 1:18:44when girls are doing like the old beer posters.
- 1:18:47You know how like the old-school beer post.
- 1:18:49There's a way to do them Tastefully and they're so much
- 1:18:52fun. They're yeah that's getting
- 1:18:53popular. Like stuff like that.
- 1:18:56Like hit her up. It's not just she's not just
- 1:18:58getting photos of people diving. The Rope she can do portrait,
- 1:19:01she can do, literally any type of photographer and it even if
- 1:19:04she hasn't done it, I'm pretty sure she wants to be challenged
- 1:19:06as well. So hit her up and she's super,
- 1:19:09super talented. But God's living together into
- 1:19:11the best is where, when I go to metal shows, that's where a lot
- 1:19:14of the contents going to start going through as well, is not
- 1:19:17even reviews, but just, this is my impression.
- 1:19:21Like, this is like how I got this shot.
- 1:19:24This is how I approached this show, things like that.
- 1:19:27So like BTS in A Shinto photography.
- 1:19:31You should honestly. And I know like I say this all
- 1:19:34the time and then I go to shows and never fucking do it because
- 1:19:37I hate putting myself on camera but like everyone's like, oh you
- 1:19:43should have log your days at wrestling shows and I like I'd
- 1:19:46love that. But the problem is, is I rather
- 1:19:48have the interaction with somebody and I forget to pull
- 1:19:50the camera up and be like, oh, so today the show.
- 1:19:52I did this and like and then I feel weird like in a room corner
- 1:19:55by myself talking to my camera like, but but I would generally
- 1:19:59Watching content, if you were like, hey, this is what I'm
- 1:20:02bringing to the show. Today, this is what I'm doing
- 1:20:04ringside like before the show like just cool.
- 1:20:06Like even if you don't your phone just like a quick like
- 1:20:07here's what I'm using, the here's my setup.
- 1:20:09This one when you try to do, I want to get some shots and then
- 1:20:11after the show's over but here's some shots.
- 1:20:13I took this is the cold moment. Like I wouldn't be interested in
- 1:20:16that content. Whether it be a wrestling show
- 1:20:18or a concert or whatever. That's what really good friend
- 1:20:20of mine CJ Downey. He's a very talented
- 1:20:23photographer. He's actually one of the ones
- 1:20:25that did a lot of the wrestle Cade portraits.
- 1:20:27This year, he we were actually talking about that the other
- 1:20:29Other day about wanting to do more because people don't know
- 1:20:33like they really don't know what goes into like and of course in
- 1:20:37the realm of this podcast like wrestling photography but even
- 1:20:39music photography like you just have no idea where to start.
- 1:20:43So the idea of doing that. So doing that there and like
- 1:20:46Alex had mentioned on the last one a lot of logs and like more
- 1:20:50content that we've wanted to do. That's not like wrestling
- 1:20:53related. He wants to drag me to another
- 1:20:55haunted attraction. So we'll see how that works out.
- 1:20:59No. But so that's what it is.
- 1:21:01It's a multimedia production company.
- 1:21:02It's going to have a lot of different things under there.
- 1:21:05It's a lot of me and Alex has interests so metal music because
- 1:21:08you know, I can't and I have enough time to play.
- 1:21:12So I'll just take pictures of my really cool friends play.
- 1:21:15What do you what instruments you play?
- 1:21:17I play the bass guitar. My dad played the bass guitar.
- 1:21:20He was in a. Yeah.
- 1:21:22Yeah. So my dad saw me doing this lap
- 1:21:25and he's like, no. Absolutely.
- 1:21:29Like, I brought home my base and he just starts walking out crazy
- 1:21:33train and all kinds of stuff. And I was like, it's just
- 1:21:35something I tell me my mom's like, Oh my God, yeah, your dad
- 1:21:38used to be in this crazy. Like Dive Bar metal band.
- 1:21:42It was okay, that's how I met him.
- 1:21:44But like, you know what you like, and I just learned this.
- 1:21:46Now, like, I'm just learning this now, like, I knew my dad
- 1:21:49was a Metalhead, but I didn't know.
- 1:21:50He was like actually in his own little metal band and then my
- 1:21:53mom's brother was actually in a really, I can't remember the
- 1:21:57name. I'd have to ask her but He was a
- 1:22:00bass player, so I play the bass. I love that.
- 1:22:03Like that's it's like a passed down thing.
- 1:22:05I guess now, but I can't remember anything ever?
- 1:22:09So like, I've tried to memorize songs, I'll be up there playing
- 1:22:12on how it goes or cute. The only thing I've ever learned
- 1:22:15on base because I was trying to teach myself how to play as
- 1:22:17well, was the beginning line to feel good ink bom.
- 1:22:21Ba ba bom. And I like, I'm a bass player.
- 1:22:26One of my favorite things when I was getting I would go to like
- 1:22:30bass lessons, so like my music teacher at TC, but then I would
- 1:22:33go to like an actual music store.
- 1:22:35The guy taught me, it's called green onions.
- 1:22:38And then there's like you're 16 Bar Blues, and those two, once
- 1:22:42you learn how to play those, you can really pretty much play.
- 1:22:44Like, any pop song you want. Everything's Like A variation.
- 1:22:48Build off of those. Yeah, well, you can do 14 and 15
- 1:22:51Bar Blues but like green onions, especially like the amount of
- 1:22:54pop songs built off of that wild.
- 1:22:57So that was my favorite party trick for a while.
- 1:22:59Like I mmm cracks back. I can play that song and it's
- 1:23:03really just because I do agree to yeah but I'd rather take
- 1:23:07pictures. Now, here's our last question of
- 1:23:09the day, Hunter says page, was it page was not a photographer.
- 1:23:15What would your dream job be? A filmmaker for sure like
- 1:23:23William Castle, Marty Scorsese, has Steven Spielberg filmmaker.
- 1:23:28I'm hella jealous, I didn't make Jurassic Park, I will always be
- 1:23:32jealous of that or I would be in a metal band right now.
- 1:23:36So one of those do if I wasn't doing photography, that's right.
- 1:23:40Be doing. I don't mind living in a metal
- 1:23:42band but I'd be a filmmaker. Are you kidding me?
- 1:23:46How does page episode longer than mine?
- 1:23:48I think Paige. Might have the For the longest
- 1:23:49episode, as of right now, I'm sorry.
- 1:23:51Alex, I'm just interesting. What do you want?
- 1:23:55I completely lost track of time. I looked up and
- 1:24:10I seen The Tick-Tock video words like when you got really good
- 1:24:13are somewhat decent, a whole bunch of different things
- 1:24:15because you realize that you probably have ADD when you're an
- 1:24:18adult and you never really hope. The one thing, it's a problem.
- 1:24:21I wish I would have honed myself in on one thing and channel.
- 1:24:24Instead of trying to learn 15 things, I like it was a losing
- 1:24:28battle. Like my Dad tried, like, with
- 1:24:30music with like the saxophone in the flute and the bass guitar
- 1:24:35and stuff. But my mom, I me she's.
- 1:24:37Yeah, I want to learn base, but I also need 100% complete this
- 1:24:41video game. And then I have to watch every
- 1:24:43single piece of wrestling content that ever existed
- 1:24:46because it's so we taking a photo and I'm like, what?
- 1:24:49What if I could learn how to, like, do do tattoos?
- 1:24:54Like I said, I should go try that which I would never do.
- 1:24:57Don't scratch. It's a miracle.
- 1:25:00It's a miracle. I get stuffed on commentary
- 1:25:02because, you know, I like my if I put out what my brain is
- 1:25:06saying, on commentary while I'm trying to call a match, like the
- 1:25:09like, I'm what a dropkick. But like, when I get home, if
- 1:25:11Prime Time wrestling happened, and I'm still improving in my
- 1:25:17brain, Terrible dude. Alex here, is it all the time?
- 1:25:21My mom hears and all the time. I'll be talking and I just go
- 1:25:24off, probably right? I called him.
- 1:25:26So I call him sidequest. Yeah, literally like mostly it's
- 1:25:29been Bernie Madoff. Sidequest like how did nobody
- 1:25:32catch on earlier? But they got out of I think it
- 1:25:35was like nine billion dot c. Sidequest nine billion dollars
- 1:25:39they got wait what was it? I think they got like six
- 1:25:41billion back out of the whole thing and it was all cash.
- 1:25:46ADHD is not fun. It's okay.
- 1:25:48But whatever. Well Paige is master of none.
- 1:25:50I guess it's I love you. You're a great person.
- 1:25:53I can't. I cannot wait to hang out again.
- 1:25:56Please. Anytime you have anything cool
- 1:25:58happening. I definitely want to when when
- 1:26:01slithering into the best becomes more of a thing I definitely
- 1:26:03wouldn't would love to have you and Alex on to talk about it.
- 1:26:06There may or may not be Social Media stuff out.
- 1:26:08Just put it out there. I don't know if that's supposed
- 1:26:09to be out there but there may or may not be go check it out.
- 1:26:12I found it by accident. They're like you should follow
- 1:26:14this because a friend I was like, oh, we had it out there
- 1:26:18but we just never post anything and Alex is like should we maybe
- 1:26:21started like putting stuff under here?
- 1:26:23I'm like, I mean I guess. Yeah.
- 1:26:26But uh thank you for your time. I think you have now have the
- 1:26:29record for longest podcast. I have to have to go check the
- 1:26:32record books. Well, I think you've done it, we
- 1:26:36will be back next week with some podcasts.
- 1:26:39So next Tuesday, will be the boys from the Welcome, Back
- 1:26:41podcast. I love you guys to death.
- 1:26:44So, essentially, their This is just two guys who met in college
- 1:26:49and then moved away from each other and but, and then like
- 1:26:53still stayed in contact but still like struggled between
- 1:26:56that friendship of not really seeing each other and being with
- 1:26:58each other every day from college and then started a
- 1:27:01podcast during a pandemic and they use it to re content
- 1:27:04rekindle their friendships and talk and hang out.
- 1:27:07So essentially you're hanging out with them and they're
- 1:27:08telling stories that are just essentially for them and having
- 1:27:12a fun buddy conversation and when you Listen to that podcast.
- 1:27:16You're going to feel like you're part of their friend group and
