- 0:16Speaker 2: you gotta come back, you gotta come back on the air.
- 0:19Speaker 2: This stuff is killing me out there. You know, like
- 0:22Speaker 2: a guy like Greg Kelly over at WABC, what's he
- 0:25Speaker 2: gonna do? Mark Simon's away today, will be back tomorrow.
- 0:28Speaker 2: And that's Greg Kelly's show prep. Without Mark Simone, He's
- 0:31Speaker 2: got nothing to talk about. He basically repeats everything that
- 0:35Speaker 2: Mark said on his show. Oh enough enough, we gotta
- 0:40Speaker 2: go to the phones. I promised you that. Let's go
- 0:43Speaker 2: to Jane, who's calling from Connnecticut. Your turn to be heard?
- 0:46Speaker 2: He on the voice in New York WA seven and Jane.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Hi, good morning, Curtis. How are you?
- 0:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I hear you.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Find I'm fired up back here where I need to
- 0:59Speaker 2: be on talk radio. I got the orders from head quarters,
- 1:02Speaker 2: my wife.
- 1:04Speaker 3: That is great. Thank you so much, Curtis. Curtis, I
- 1:08Speaker 3: just wanted to tell you I'm a Connecticut resident. As
- 1:11Speaker 3: you had stated, I would have voted for you had
- 1:15Speaker 3: I been in New York I admire you. I've admired
- 1:18Speaker 3: you for a long time. I love what you were doing,
- 1:22Speaker 3: what you have continued to do, you and your lovely life, Nancy.
- 1:26Speaker 3: You know your support for everything, the things that New
- 1:30Speaker 3: York City needs. And because I do work in New York,
- 1:34Speaker 3: I'm very close to the issues that affect to New York.
- 1:38Speaker 3: So I've just got to tell you I admire you.
- 1:42Speaker 3: So I just wanted to call and tell you that today.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Well, thank you, Thank you very much, Jane.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Although enough of this, I would have voted for you,
- 1:51Speaker 2: Dizzy Izzy if everybody who's come up to me in
- 1:53Speaker 2: the subways and streets because I'm there every day.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Uh oh, I voted for you.
- 1:59Speaker 2: If they had voted for me, I would have been
- 2:00Speaker 2: the mayor of the City of New York and we
- 2:01Speaker 2: would have been in a much better shape.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Right, but please don't glaze me. Wait a second.
- 2:08Speaker 2: That's that's for the millennials and Gen zee Is, people
- 2:12Speaker 2: who are my generation, right, you baby boomers out there.
- 2:15Speaker 2: You probably think I'm talking about glazed donuts. No, no, no,
- 2:18Speaker 2: that's the term that has made me uber popular with
- 2:22Speaker 2: the millennials in Gen z Is. I say, don't be
- 2:25Speaker 2: glazing me, because a lot of people do and on
- 2:28Speaker 2: this format here, w R.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Don't be glazing me.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Huh, don't be pulling my chain and chewing my shorts.
- 2:36Speaker 2: That's the way we would have said it in the
- 2:37Speaker 2: old neighborhood. By the way, curling, you know, Olympic sport,
- 2:41Speaker 2: Winter Olympic sport couldn't be any more boring, like some
- 2:45Speaker 2: of talk radio I've listened to lately, And so my
- 2:48Speaker 2: wife was asking me about it.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I said, it's like bacchi.
- 2:51Speaker 2: You know, my grandfather if he Dela Bianchino played Bacci
- 2:54Speaker 2: with the other gumbas in Kanarsi, you know, they'd be
- 2:56Speaker 2: smoking a crooked Italian cigars at theanobla, they be speaking
- 3:00Speaker 2: their dialect, cursing one another. It was boring with bachi.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It's boring with curling. Oh, we got to under this
- 3:09Speaker 2: boring repetition of talk radio. It's like God, be curious,
- 3:17Speaker 2: challenge your doughty, ask questions. Don't be sequel fans, Tody's
- 3:22Speaker 2: and lackeys, and allow for other points of you to
- 3:26Speaker 2: be hurt. That's the American way. Let's go to Chris,
- 3:30Speaker 2: who's calling from Beth Page. Your turn to be heard
- 3:32Speaker 2: here seven to ten w or R Chris.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Hey, Curtis, I got an even money bet with a
- 3:39Speaker 4: friend that somehow Steve from Manhattan sneaks onto the air
- 3:41Speaker 4: in some way today anyhow. But I know you're good
- 3:44Speaker 4: at rooting him out anyhow, Curtis. The reason I called was,
- 3:49Speaker 4: I vote it for Trump. I like Trump, and I
- 3:52Speaker 4: disagree with you most of us, I'd say, like ninety
- 3:55Speaker 4: percent of us. Aren't these lackeys that everything he says.
- 3:58Speaker 4: We think he's stupid a lot of stuff. We voted
- 4:00Speaker 4: for his policies. He's got great economic policies. He closed
- 4:04Speaker 4: the border, gas is cheaper, you know, you go on
- 4:08Speaker 4: and on with his great policies. He's a great president,
- 4:11Speaker 4: I think. But he's not a good human being. I'm sorry.
- 4:15Speaker 4: I would never hang out with the guy. He sounds
- 4:17Speaker 4: like a more on half the time. But I like
- 4:18Speaker 4: his policies and that's what we vote.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Well, no, that's that's extraordinarily fair.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Chris, like wanting to take over Canada, wanting to take
- 4:28Speaker 2: over Greenland, Like, really, do you think if he had
- 4:32Speaker 2: said that, let's say, in the campaign against first Biden
- 4:35Speaker 2: and then Harris the bifer kated campaign do you think
- 4:38Speaker 2: if he had said, oh, when I become president, we're
- 4:41Speaker 2: going to take over Canada, We're going to take over Greenland.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Do you think he would have won that an election?
- 4:46Speaker 4: Not at all? Okill no, but that's but that's him,
- 4:49Speaker 4: you know him art of the deal. He's hung out
- 4:51Speaker 4: with him, you know his deal. He does what he
- 4:53Speaker 4: can to get what he wants and then he goes
- 4:55Speaker 4: bats And that's you know, I do that, I know,
- 4:58Speaker 4: but but.
- 4:58Speaker 2: You see, problem is now, if you believe that we
- 5:03Speaker 2: have to have balance in government and Republicans and I
- 5:07Speaker 2: am a Republican, we need to win the midterm elections,
- 5:11Speaker 2: those kinds of attitudes are going to be hurtful to
- 5:15Speaker 2: the ability to maintain the majority. And you know, if
- 5:20Speaker 2: the Democrats Hakeem Jeffries becomes a speaker he loves for that,
- 5:25Speaker 2: you imagine the schmuck to putch CHUCKI Chi Schumer returning
- 5:29Speaker 2: his majority leader of the Senate. Oh my god, that
- 5:32Speaker 2: guy is an advertisement for term limits. And it's not
- 5:36Speaker 2: just him. They're Republicans senators there. What are they going
- 5:39Speaker 2: to be one hundred years old until death? Do us
- 5:41Speaker 2: part term limits for everyone? Let's go if we can
- 5:49Speaker 2: to at this point, I believe it is Sophie who's
- 5:53Speaker 2: calling from Connecticut. Your turn to be hurt here on
- 5:57Speaker 2: seven ten wor.
- 5:59Speaker 5: Sophie, good morning, Courtis we spoke years and years ago.
- 6:06Speaker 5: I am also polish that you have Polish in Connecticut,
- 6:11Speaker 5: as you know. The reason I'm calling. I listening to
- 6:17Speaker 5: what was happening the election and how wrong it was.
- 6:22Speaker 5: And I'm very concerned about the power of w ABC
- 6:28Speaker 5: owner into this whole election and political issues. Even this morning.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I know sobe They bashed me all the time. It's
- 6:41Speaker 2: over three months. Dominic Carter wouldn't have a show unless
- 6:45Speaker 2: he spent half of it bashing me and blaming me
- 6:47Speaker 2: for Johann Mandami, and they.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Had no impact.
- 6:51Speaker 2: First they supported Eric Adams right the Swagerman with no
- 6:55Speaker 2: plan to cook. Then they supported Andrew evilized Como Facha
- 7:00Speaker 2: Brutta that he lost too.
- 7:03Speaker 1: So don't think they're all that powerful.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I gotta tell you just based on the people who
- 7:08Speaker 2: come up to me who identify themselves as WABC listeners,
- 7:13Speaker 2: they say, I miss you on WABC.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Okay, I get that.
- 7:17Speaker 2: And since the mayor's race has ended, I listen less
- 7:20Speaker 2: and less to WABC and tune into other stations. And
- 7:24Speaker 2: that's true. You look at the ratings they have plummeted
- 7:27Speaker 2: at WABC. Time spent listening is down noticeably. They run around,
- 7:34Speaker 2: pat each other on the back so hard they'll have
- 7:36Speaker 2: to go for a chiropractic adjustment.
- 7:38Speaker 1: But it's not good talk radio, it really is.
- 7:43Speaker 2: That's why my wife has finally said to me, your
- 7:47Speaker 2: job is to get back into action and that thing
- 7:50Speaker 2: that you've done for thirty five years, talk radio with
- 7:53Speaker 2: everything else that I'll be doing because I have a
- 7:55Speaker 2: mission to save talk radio and make it come telling
- 8:00Speaker 2: and interesting and non predictable. Why should I listen to
- 8:05Speaker 2: a show today what I know they're gonna say the
- 8:09Speaker 2: same thing today that they said last week, that they're
- 8:11Speaker 2: gonna say next week, which is bored
