- 0:35SPEAKER_00: I'm waiting for So first I want to sincerely thank you for showing up to the Wild Woman within for joining the Wild Council email.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: They just help this show for.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: So thank you so much.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Today I'm using some ancient wisdom and some modern spiritual practices to integrate this week on that.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: And we're gonna go a little bit deeper than taking a walk or grabbing a cup of coffee.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: I want to talk about healing the masculine energy within us.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Healing the part that has confused control with safety.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: Your feminine energy will have something to rise from when your masculine energy becomes steady.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: In Hindu and in tantric philosophy, they use the words Shiva and Shakti.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Okay, they're deeply significant spiritual practices, and their meanings extend far beyond just modern language of masculine and feminine energy.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: But here's a piece of this that I want to explore today that is how Shiva is often associated with pure consciousness and stillness and awareness.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: And it's shakti it represents more dynamics of creativity and energy of movement, expression, transformation.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: So some traditions they're understood as inseparable.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: Where stillness is movement, awareness and creative power.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: They're together.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: And I think what fascinates me the most is the relationship between the two when they're explored from within, within us.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: The masculine, it gives us this structure and direction, discernment, boundaries, right?
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: And feminine brings in this creativity, intuition, and connection for flow.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: And I don't, and I will never believe that one exclusively belongs to men and one exclusively belongs to women.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: I don't think that one inherently is better than the other.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: I think that the magic is learning how they support one another.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, think about a tree.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Real simple.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: It roots, it's anchors into the earth, right?
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: And it gives this stability.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: And it goes down, down, down, down, down.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: For the stability where the branches, they need this room to grow.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: They move with the wind, they reach towards the sun, they produce something beautiful, fruits, beautiful colors, especially around the fall foliage when you're in another transitional season.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Okay, now imagine these roots become so rigid, so determined to control every single movement that the tree can no longer sway.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: And that's what happens when our desire for security becomes a need for control.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: I think a lot of successful women know exactly what that feels like.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: We become exceptionally good at building the roots, careers, systems, financial stability, right?
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: You've heard all these great words.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: We start believing that if we stopped, then that entire tree is gonna fall over.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: And the thing is, is what if your strength was never supposed to become your prison?
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: I want you to imagine that there's part of you whose only job is to keep you safe, and she's called your internal project manager.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: She's really good at her job.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: She anticipates problems, she thinks three steps ahead.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: And also notice what happens when your internal project manager starts micromanaging every single moment of your life.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: And then sitting outside for 15 minutes is all of a sudden irresponsible.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Not responding to an email immediately feels a little dangerous.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: Having an afternoon without a measurable accomplishment probably feels like a failure to that internal project manager inside you.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: And I think the question underneath all of it is that really needs answered.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: What happens if I stop holding everything together?
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: That's what I mean when I talk about wounded masculine patterns.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: And it's not from a diagnosis, it's a way of describing part of us that tries to manufacture safety through this constant need for control.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: And it's that part of you who knows that she can set something down without abandoning responsibilities.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: Because the real security isn't the promise that nothing will go wrong.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: It's just knowing that you have the capacity to respond when something does.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: And that's the kind of masculine energy that creates room for the feminine to flourish.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: It's then how do you build that?
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: How do you build that security from within?
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: Well, you build it through self-trust.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Self-trust grows when our actions consistently match our intentions.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: Let me put it to you this way.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: If I tell myself that my workday has room for a 15-minute break, but every time I have the opportunity, I abandon that.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: And what am I teaching myself in that moment?
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: I'm teaching myself that fear makes the decision.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: And then what if I do something different?
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: What if I look at my responsibilities?
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: I check my calendar, check my commitments, and I recognize that I actually genuinely have 15 minutes available.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: And I take them.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: And I honor that commitment to myself.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: I return when I said I would.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: I continue doing my work.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: And now all of a sudden I've created a new experience of self-trust.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: I just made a decision that simply included myself.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: And every time I do that, I'm giving my nervous system and my mind an opportunity to learn something new.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: That I can be responsible without being constantly available.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: This is about recognizing where you actually have a choice.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: And then you get to practice using it.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: There's a difference between having freedom on paper and feeling secure enough to exercise it.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: Okay, I want to give you a little practice that you can use before your next workday break.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: And it may take you 90 seconds.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: You can do this in your car, you can do this standing up, you can do this at your desk, it doesn't matter.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: But it's just 90 seconds.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: And if you are in your car, don't close your eyes.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: But if you are somewhere else, you know, where it's safe, where you can close your eyes, then go for it.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: But first, you need to just plant both feet down on the floor.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: And you can feel the support within you, but beneath you.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: Feel the support.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: Take a slow breath in accompanied with an easy exhale.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Place one hand over your heart and one hand over your belly, whatever feels comfortable here, and ask what am I trying to protect myself from right now?
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: Right now, in this moment.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: It could be criticism or disappointing somebody, falling behind.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: You know, maybe it's the fear that if you're not constantly proving your value, someone will decide you're no longer valuable.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: And we're not here to just fix it.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: Just notice to begin and ask the second question.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: What is actually required of me in this moment?
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: Genuinely required.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: Of course, honor the emergency.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: But notice what's not an emergency.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: Notice if you've already finished what needed to be done in this moment.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Your calendar has an opening.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: You're on a scheduled lunch break.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: And there's nothing urgent standing between you and 15 minutes of freedom.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: Take another breath.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: Imagine that steady, grounded part of yourself.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: The part that knows how to lead, make decisions, and follow through.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: Silently say, I trust myself to honor my responsibilities.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: I trust myself to recognize what is truly urgent.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: I trust myself to make room for my life.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: And don't just think about the freedom.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: Practice it.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: Give yourself the real experience of choosing something different.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: And here's what I find beautiful about this.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: When the masculine within you becomes grounded, it doesn't need to dominate every single moment.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: It can provide foundation.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: It can say, I've got the boundaries, I've got the commitments, I know what matters.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: You can breathe.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: And then from there, your feminine energy has room to express herself.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: And maybe she wants to just go sit in the sunshine, or maybe she wants to laugh with a friend.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: She doesn't have to justify it because the structure is no longer there to control her, it's there to support her.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: And that's the relationship you build within yourself.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Not a masculine that's constantly demanding work, or a feminine that's waiting for somebody to give her permission.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: It's a partnership between the two.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Steadiness that makes room for freedom and structure that supports creativity happening at the exact same time that responsibility, it doesn't require self a limit.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: And I need to leave you with this.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: The strongest part of you isn't the part that can control everything.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: It's the part that knows when it's safe to let it go.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: So this week, have to be audio.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: And before you do, I can step in your ink.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: Ask yourself what you're afraid of.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: Identify what's actually required.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: Touch yourself to make the decision altered.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: So every small comment you take to yourself becomes another root beneath your feet.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: The stronger those roots become, the more freely you can rise.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: Let's bring this home.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Killing the masculine in the way we've explored it today means replacing fear-driven control with boundaries, discernments, and the interacter gives you away practice that.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: Before you take your next one step towards complete.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: We're not dismantling your entire career to start living differently inside of it.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: But we are beginning with 15 minutes.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: You know someone who does a free care.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: And join the Wild Council.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: That's where I'm gonna challenge the rules and break free from expectations.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: And I'm finding the audacity to live within my own rhythm.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: So we can all be great at let's perform.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: More living wild free.
