- 0:26Don Armstrong: I didn't get a Mustang GT to review, but you did.
- 0:30Don Armstrong: Thank you.
- 0:31Don Armstrong: He's also going to uh worm his way in here and do seven racetracks worth visiting.
- 0:38Don Armstrong: Okay, that's coming up in this next second.
- 0:41Don Armstrong: Uh howdy, and uh welcome to the Unreal Time Car Talk Show.
- 0:46Don Armstrong: Along with Mike out of this world Mars, we always need more Jeff Zeken.
- 0:49Don Armstrong: And Chief Engineer David Ainsley has decided to join us today.
- 0:53Don Armstrong: I'm Don Armstrong.
- 0:54Don Armstrong: Glad you could join us.
- 0:55Don Armstrong: Oh my God.
- 0:57Don Armstrong: Oh my gosh.
- 0:58Don Armstrong: Did you bring people with you?
- 1:00Don Armstrong: It's just you?
- 1:02Don Armstrong: You just stopped by to see Grandpa.
- 1:04Don Armstrong: She's Grandpa.
- 1:08Jeff Dziekan: She's gonna win a car.
- 1:09Jeff Dziekan: She wants to win a car.
- 1:10Jeff Dziekan: Oh, I see.
- 1:10Don Armstrong: Well, that's a good idea.
- 1:11Mike Marrs: I'm gonna go to each dealership back to my page.
- 1:14Mike Marrs: She can't say that.
- 1:16Don Armstrong: All right.
- 1:16Don Armstrong: Well, let's move on with things.
- 1:18Don Armstrong: Uh so it's Jeff's daughter.
- 1:20Don Armstrong: She's up here.
- 1:20Don Armstrong: Um let's do Mr.
- 1:22Don Armstrong: Mars and the Mustang GT, Mr.
- 1:25Don Armstrong: Mars.
- 1:26Mike Marrs: Got me, right?
- 1:27Mike Marrs: All right.
- 1:28Mike Marrs: Ready to go.
- 1:29Mike Marrs: We are ready to go.
- 1:30Mike Marrs: So this is the 2025 Ford Mustang GT Convertible.
- 1:36Mike Marrs: Drop top premiere.
- 1:38Mike Marrs: Now this vehicle was final assembly in Flat Rock of all places.
- 1:43Mike Marrs: It is the seventh generation of the Mustang, and it was reintroduced in 2024.
- 1:47Mike Marrs: So 25 is kind of a carryover.
- 1:50Mike Marrs: You can get the Mustang in an EcoBoost, an EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium, or you can get the Dark Horse they just came out with.
- 1:58Don Armstrong: Well, was it C.
- 2:00Don Armstrong: You think the Dark Horse?
- 2:01Don Armstrong: I think I'll have that.
- 2:03Mike Marrs: So the GT Premium is where we were at with the convertible.
- 2:06Mike Marrs: And uh it's considered a sports car, and it's a four-passenger.
- 2:10Mike Marrs: Now, I'm sure anybody trying to get in the backseat might argue that with you, but it is considered a four-passenger vehicle.
- 2:17Mike Marrs: Got uh one thing I really liked about it, I was a little concerned, the roof, the convertible roof on it, is fully lined, cloth top.
- 2:25Mike Marrs: And uh, so it's really good at keeping out some of the sound.
- 2:28Mike Marrs: It seals up really good whenever you got the top up.
- 2:31Mike Marrs: Up front, you're gonna find automatic LED headlights.
- 2:34Mike Marrs: It's got a hood vent that actually not a hood scoop, but a hood vent up front that looks like an inverted.
- 2:39Mike Marrs: I think Subaru once upon a time was doing inverted hood scoops on it.
- 2:43Mike Marrs: Garrain sensing wipers and all those good things, but it also has Rimbo brakes with a premium lining on it.
- 2:49Mike Marrs: So you got the red calipers with the white lettering on it, and it's got some 19-inch black aluminum wheels.
- 2:54Mike Marrs: So you put all that with the bright red paint that's on it, the black hood scoop or hood vent and the black top on it.
- 3:01Mike Marrs: It's really nice looking.
- 3:02Mike Marrs: Going down the road, give you a ticket red.
- 3:05Mike Marrs: So uh inside we had a 12.4-inch LCD instrument cluster, so we got lots of room up there to see things.
- 3:13Mike Marrs: Got a 13.2-inch LED center stack.
- 3:15Mike Marrs: That's where you're gonna find all your convenience controls, your rear view camera, which works really well in that big of a screen.
- 3:21Mike Marrs: Now the front seats are very comfortable, front bucket seats, sports car, and uh even had the red matching seat belts on it.
- 3:28Mike Marrs: And but there is an optional Ricaro seats available in this car.
- 3:33Mike Marrs: It would have been nice to see how they worked in this convertible, make it a little bit cooler.
- 3:37Mike Marrs: Uh the back seat, like I said, enough said on that.
- 3:40Mike Marrs: Has the BO audio system with 12 speakers.
- 3:42Mike Marrs: Now we didn't have the opportunity because of the weather to drop the top and just how much ire we could raise with the neighbors, but uh it sounds pretty good with the top down.
- 3:51Mike Marrs: Under the hood, this is where it gets good.
- 3:53Mike Marrs: 5.0 liter V8, 480 horsepower.
- 3:56Don Armstrong: Do your neighbors have ire?
- 3:59Mike Marrs: Well, uh, the lady next door, I think she does.
- 4:01Mike Marrs: She, when I get up at 4 o'clock in the morning and leave, she gets a little irritated.
- 4:05Don Armstrong: Irritated.
- 4:06Don Armstrong: So you raise her ire.
- 4:08Don Armstrong: Yes.
- 4:08Don Armstrong: She's ired all the time, but you raise the ire.
- 4:11Mike Marrs: Yeah, at her age, it's kind of hard to tell.
- 4:13Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 4:14Mike Marrs: So again, we got this true.
- 4:17Don Armstrong: VS true 400.
- 4:19Jeff Dziekan: Do you know the next door neighbor?
- 4:23Jeff Dziekan: She doesn't want to she can neither confirm nor deny.
- 4:26Mike Marrs: Yeah, she can't because she still needs a ride home.
- 4:29Mike Marrs: It's also got a 10-speed automatic.
- 4:30Mike Marrs: We didn't have the six-speed in it, but it does have the 10-speed automatic.
- 4:34Mike Marrs: Your engine combination that you can get with the car in the Mustang kind of dictates which transmission options you have available.
- 4:40Mike Marrs: Now the EPA says you should be looking for about 16 miles to the gallon in the city, 24 out on the highway, 19 combined.
- 4:47Mike Marrs: I drove this car 325.3 miles, including the the trip over here to kind of check things out to know how we were going to set up over here to pre-survey everything.
- 4:55Mike Marrs: And I got 20 miles to the gallon on that car, and I was really proud of that.
- 5:01Mike Marrs: Also, uh, as far as ride handling goes, of course it's almost like driving a go-kart.
- 5:07Mike Marrs: It has the performance vehicle, so it's got a little bit stiffer uh suspension on it, more for road handling and stuff, but it does make it ride a little bit rougher.
- 5:16Mike Marrs: Um, the bigger and the wider tires that are on this car, on this GT, has uh a little bit more road noise on it.
- 5:23Mike Marrs: It also has 355 gears on it, so it is uh got plenty of get up and go juice.
- 5:29Mike Marrs: Now the base trim price on this vehicle that we were driving is$56,580.
- 5:36Mike Marrs: The base model price on a Mustang is$33,915.
- 5:41Mike Marrs: Our MSRP as tested,$72,245.
- 5:47Mike Marrs: Really wow.
- 5:48Mike Marrs: So almost$20,000 of options between the performance package and some of the paint and some of the other things that were on here, the audio system, all of it that kind of adds up.
- 5:57Mike Marrs: If you're looking for something to compare it to, you know, maybe the Toyota GR Supra starts at$56,250.
- 6:06Mike Marrs: Okay.
- 6:06Mike Marrs: The uh Nissan Z Nismo, unfortunately, it starts at 62.
- 6:11Mike Marrs: Okay.
- 6:12Mike Marrs: You could get into a Z cheaper than that, but the Nismo seem to be more like a fair comparison.
- 6:16Mike Marrs: And really and truly, I uh again, Mustang's been around for years.
- 6:20Mike Marrs: It's got staying power.
- 6:23Mike Marrs: Got staying power.
- 6:24Mike Marrs: It's a very fun, daily driver capable car to have.
- 6:28Jeff Dziekan: They seem to be getting bigger and bigger every year.
- 6:30Jeff Dziekan: There's one right there.
- 6:31Mike Marrs: Well, they all get bigger, everything's getting bigger.
- 6:33Mike Marrs: It's it's it's uh we need to be.
- 6:34Jeff Dziekan: Well, they don't make any competitors to it.
- 6:36Jeff Dziekan: That's true.
- 6:37Jeff Dziekan: The Camaro is gone.
- 6:38Jeff Dziekan: Well, exactly.
- 6:39Jeff Dziekan: The Camaro, the Challenger, and the ones you mentioned are are you know things you don't think of.
- 6:44Don Armstrong: Listen, that car is cool.
- 6:47Jeff Dziekan: It is, but it's it's it's not it's bigger.
- 6:50Jeff Dziekan: You can barely see the hood on the on the shot there.
- 6:53Don Armstrong: Yeah, yeah, it's uh it and it's a six-cylinder.
- 6:55Don Armstrong: Is it in there long?
- 6:57Jeff Dziekan: Is that the hurricane?
- 6:58Mike Marrs: It's the hurricane, yeah.
- 6:59Mike Marrs: Yeah.
- 6:59Mike Marrs: I've never seen one.
- 7:00Don Armstrong: Well, there's I haven't either.
- 7:02Don Armstrong: And it's not sh sitting in the long ways, I don't think.
- 7:05Don Armstrong: I can't tell, but if it is, uh I'm surprised.
- 7:10Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, I thought that was rear-wheel drive.
- 7:11Jeff Dziekan: Well, the young man, I think he's over there uh looking at the other car.
- 7:15Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 7:15Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, I think he is.
- 7:17Don Armstrong: All right, uh find him.
- 7:18Don Armstrong: So, Mr.
- 7:18Don Armstrong: Morris, we're gonna have you continue on your trek here of being on the air, because you have done nothing to contribute to the show up to this.
- 7:27Jeff Dziekan: Gummit running errands, he's making lunches.
- 7:30Don Armstrong: I know.
- 7:31Don Armstrong: Yeah, you got the bannays and bologna sandwiches, or what?
- 7:34Mike Marrs: Well, I I looked for some of the cheese mixed with the baloney, the cheese and baloney slices, but I couldn't find it.
- 7:40Jeff Dziekan: Well, on your way home, stop at a come and go and get a hot dog.
- 7:42Don Armstrong: All right.
- 7:43Don Armstrong: Oh, come and now for seven racetracks worth visiting.
- 7:49Mike Marrs: So we looked at seven, I mean, we started looking at racetracks.
- 7:52Mike Marrs: There's racetracks all over the state, all over the country, different kinds, everything.
- 7:55Don Armstrong: But are they still open?
- 7:57Mike Marrs: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:58Mike Marrs: So, so this is more of uh seven underrated U.S.
- 8:02Mike Marrs: racetracks that are worth visiting if you really decide you just want to go.
- 8:06Mike Marrs: Some people go to baseball parks and football stadiums, go to racetracks.
- 8:10Mike Marrs: So, one of them we want to talk about is Road America.
- 8:13Mike Marrs: Now, this is the classic natural terrain remote.
- 8:15Mike Marrs: Wisconsin.
- 8:16Mike Marrs: Yes.
- 8:17Mike Marrs: It's four miles, goes through the hills and forests of Wisconsin.
- 8:20Mike Marrs: You got a lot of long straights, so you get a lot of speed up, technical corners to make them slow down and try to maneuver around through the laps.
- 8:28Mike Marrs: But the thing about this track is there's a lot of fan freedom.
- 8:30Mike Marrs: There's a lot of places the spectators can run along big areas of the track to see it.
- 8:36Mike Marrs: And because of the elevation in the hills and stuff, you can get up and you can kind of see it.
- 8:40Mike Marrs: Uh and then uh it's special, it's considered one of the purest road courses in North America.
- 8:46Mike Marrs: Now, the another one I wanted to mention is the Virginia International Raceway.
- 8:52Mike Marrs: This one has a lot of elevation changes, which is what makes it kind of work really different from everybody else.
- 8:58Mike Marrs: You got uh a lot of places you can get the speed, but they've got flowing corners.
- 9:02Mike Marrs: It doesn't have the really long straight speed uh straightaways to where you're gonna get up the maximum speed that you're gonna get in a lot of people.
- 9:09Don Armstrong: And what's the name of that place?
- 9:10Mike Marrs: Virginia International Raceway.
- 9:12Mike Marrs: Now it's called VIR.
- 9:14Mike Marrs: That's kind of the abbreviation for it.
- 9:16Mike Marrs: I've heard of that one.
- 9:17Mike Marrs: But it's Virginia International Raceway.
- 9:20Jeff Dziekan: I've heard of VIR.
- 9:20Mike Marrs: And uh it's considered one of the better driving tracks that's in the country.
- 9:24Mike Marrs: And it because people go out there, they think feel like it's like a more like a country club track where everybody's just it's not like real media heavy whenever people go out there.
- 9:35Mike Marrs: Then the other thing is going up to uh the Weather Tech Raceway at Laguna Seca.
- 9:43Don Armstrong: Now this is not the Weather Tech, that's Laguna Seca.
- 9:46Don Armstrong: Weather Tech is sponsoring it.
- 9:48Don Armstrong: Exactly.
- 9:48Don Armstrong: They're paying them a lot of money to have their name at the top of it.
- 9:51Mike Marrs: And if you go look at any sign it says WeatherTech.
- 9:56Don Armstrong: Anyway, they're not spending any money with us.
- 9:59Don Armstrong: No, I know.
- 10:00Mike Marrs: But it's one of the things that it's famous for is because of it's got a corkscrew term with a sudden downhill left-right sequence that drops several stories in elevation.
- 10:10Mike Marrs: So you really kind of drop down on it.
- 10:12Mike Marrs: I've never driven that track.
- 10:13Mike Marrs: I've seen the signs as I drove by.
- 10:16Mike Marrs: But uh, it's uh in the hills near Monterey, California.
- 10:20Mike Marrs: Got a lot of scenic views, so you get a lot of exciting racing.
- 10:23Mike Marrs: Fans can sit on the grassy hillsides and watch them, which is one of the things that makes these tracks a little different.
- 10:28Mike Marrs: You're not parked your butt in the sands, stands all day.
- 10:31Mike Marrs: You can actually get out and enjoy some of the outside of it.
- 10:35Mike Marrs: Uh another racetrack is going to be the Seabring International Raceway.
- 10:42Mike Marrs: It's one of the oldest and toughest circuits in North America, originally built on an old World War II airfield.
- 10:50Mike Marrs: So it's all got concrete surfaces that can get kind of rough and uh makes things really challenging for the cars and the drivers because it's going to eat on tires pretty hard as well as the car.
- 10:59Mike Marrs: Now, this is where you're going to find the 12 hours of sievering sometimes.
- 11:03Mike Marrs: Yeah, I mean, that's a race that you can go there to see.
- 11:05Mike Marrs: And it's more like old school racing.
- 11:07Mike Marrs: So a lot of people like there going to that gritty atmosphere, uh racing tradition, and you can actually camp there.
- 11:14Mike Marrs: So if you're really interested in that, it's a really great place to go.
- 11:17Mike Marrs: It's bumpy, it's brutal, and one of the toughest tracks for the drivers.
- 11:22Mike Marrs: The other one, uh the Barber Motorsports Park.
- 11:26Mike Marrs: Oh, yeah, that's a good one.
- 11:27Mike Marrs: Wait, let's get the mid-Ohio.
- 11:28Mike Marrs: Uh-oh.
- 11:29Jeff Dziekan: Where did Mid-Ohio go?
- 11:30Jeff Dziekan: Here it is.
- 11:30Jeff Dziekan: It's in Ohio.
- 11:31Mike Marrs: Yeah, it's in Ohio.
- 11:32Mike Marrs: Mid-Ohio is a technical layout track and it uh flows through the wooded hills and elevation changes.
- 11:39Mike Marrs: And it's whole major series like indie car series there.
- 11:42Mike Marrs: It's kind of a small track, but it's considered to be very technical.
- 11:48Mike Marrs: Then we'll go to Barber.
- 11:49Mike Marrs: Barber.
- 11:50Mike Marrs: Barber.
- 11:52Mike Marrs: Barber Motorsports Park is considered one of the most beautiful racing facilities.
- 11:56Mike Marrs: Why did it do that?
- 11:58Mike Marrs: In the world.
- 11:59Mike Marrs: It's got a lot of grass, a lot of sculpted places around the circuit to kind of make it look really nice.
- 12:04Mike Marrs: Kind of a botanical garden area.
- 12:06Mike Marrs: It's got smooth pavement, flowing corners, so you get a lot of racing for motorcycles there and the cars alike.
- 12:12Mike Marrs: Got a uh actually also has the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum on the site.
- 12:18Mike Marrs: So you get a combination of the two, including the Indy Car Grand Prix of Alabama.
- 12:24Mike Marrs: Road Atlanta is the last one that we're going to talk about right quick.
- 12:28Mike Marrs: It's known for its fast flowing layout, dramatic elevation changes, and uh got a lot of high speed, steep downhill run.
- 12:38Mike Marrs: The uh Imsa Sports Car Championship season runs through there.
- 12:41Mike Marrs: And they have again fans like the classic feel of it, being able to sit on the grassy hillsides, being able to get to the areas where you can see the cars really well.
- 12:52Mike Marrs: And that is seven racetracks that uh are much underrated and uh offer opportunities to go and see some different kinds of racing and different feels to the track.
- 13:02Don Armstrong: You know, you know, I was just telling David, I said, you know, I would really like to get the Corvette to sound like that, or at least be able to do that.
- 13:11Don Armstrong: The only thing that I could really think to do that is to introduce some nitromethane into it.
- 13:16Don Armstrong: And if that didn't work it, then mistime it so I could get it to backfire a lot.
- 13:22Jeff Dziekan: You I could you could do that tomorrow, you just buy one of the WRX cars.
- 13:27Don Armstrong: No, no, no, I know I'm telling I know that.
- 13:29Don Armstrong: But I'm talking about the Corvette.
- 13:31Mike Marrs: Oh well.
- 13:31Mike Marrs: So if that's the case, you need to put some flamers on it.
- 13:35Mike Marrs: I'll plug in the panels.
- 13:36Don Armstrong: I know how to do that.
- 13:37Don Armstrong: Yeah, I know how to do that.
- 13:38Mike Marrs: You might as well do that whenever you're gonna backfire it.
- 13:40Mike Marrs: Just shoot the flames out the tail.
- 13:42Don Armstrong: Absolutely.
- 13:43Don Armstrong: I could introduce that uh lighter fluid right in there.
- 13:47Jeff Dziekan: And uh I'm sure there's someone out here that helped you do that.
- 13:50Don Armstrong: I you know, it that doesn't surprise me that there would be.
- 13:56Don Armstrong: So what am I going to do next?
- 13:57Jeff Dziekan: Well we've got a young people.
- 14:00Don Armstrong: We do have somebody.
- 14:01Don Armstrong: And you know, I'm sorry that I can't introduce you because I don't know you.
- 14:05Don Armstrong: I know that you can introduce yourself, and you are.
- 14:08SPEAKER_05: My name is Ethan.
- 14:09SPEAKER_05: Uh Ethan?
- 14:10SPEAKER_05: Yes, sir.
- 14:10Don Armstrong: Yes, sir.
- 14:11SPEAKER_05: Uh I do content for the Carme Network and my own content for uh cars.
- 14:16SPEAKER_05: We do car photography videos.
- 14:18SPEAKER_05: Right now we're kind of just trying to expand ourselves.
- 14:20Don Armstrong: So, in other words, you could you could take pictures of us and put them all over the internet.
- 14:25SPEAKER_05: Yes, sir.
- 14:27SPEAKER_05: I mean, wait, why would why would you not?
- 14:31Don Armstrong: I mean, we have we have such glamour to offer the world right here.
- 14:36SPEAKER_05: Everyone does.
- 14:37Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 14:38Don Armstrong: But I know, but this is the grandfather.
- 14:40Don Armstrong: This is the grandfather look that I know that you're looking for with all of your followers.
- 14:46SPEAKER_05: Of course.
- 14:46SPEAKER_05: We're looking for everything.
- 14:49SPEAKER_05: No, but um, I mean, we do post a lot of stuff, but everything, you know, we make it good now.
- 14:56SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we we make everything good.
- 14:57Don Armstrong: No, I know, but I'm I'm telling you to make it good right now.
- 15:00Don Armstrong: The story.
- 15:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah, so right now, uh, my name's Ethan, of course.
- 15:05SPEAKER_05: Uh, my content crew behind us is uh, which you can't see them.
- 15:09SPEAKER_05: We have Eric, he's my other videographer and my driver.
- 15:12SPEAKER_05: Um we do work with uh Carmi Network, we work with Gus.
- 15:16SPEAKER_05: We go to all of his all of his events, we try to get our name out there.
- 15:19SPEAKER_05: We also try to help Gus grow and you know, we try to bring people in, enjoy time, and you know, just make everyone happy.
- 15:25SPEAKER_05: You know, you have a large group?
- 15:28SPEAKER_05: No, really, uh it's a group of four people, okay, me included.
- 15:31SPEAKER_05: Uh you know, we kind of stick small because we don't have money to pay people like that yet.
- 15:37SPEAKER_05: So we're trying to keep it friends that you know want to do the same thing that we do.
- 15:41SPEAKER_05: Because right now we're we enjoy it.
- 15:42SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we enjoy it, but we are trying to make it a business.
- 15:45Don Armstrong: Well, see, this is what we've got here.
- 15:47SPEAKER_05: I see.
- 15:48SPEAKER_05: It's an amazing setup, by the way.
- 15:49SPEAKER_05: Is it?
- 15:49SPEAKER_05: Yes, I think so.
- 15:50SPEAKER_05: I mean, y'all got the lights, everything.
- 15:53SPEAKER_05: This is an all of it.
- 15:54SPEAKER_05: Imagine this times a hundred.
- 15:56SPEAKER_05: I know, something's in that truck.
- 15:57SPEAKER_05: Yeah, for a mobile, for a mobile, this is amazing.
- 16:00Don Armstrong: So Welcome to Hollywood, brother.
- 16:02Don Armstrong: This is it.
- 16:04Don Armstrong: This is it.
- 16:05SPEAKER_05: Is that what we're calling it?
- 16:06SPEAKER_05: Yeah, Hollywood, but not in Hollywood.
- 16:08Don Armstrong: Right.
- 16:09Don Armstrong: Not at the Hollywood price.
- 16:10Don Armstrong: Holy something.
- 16:11Don Armstrong: Yeah, so that's what it's all about.
- 16:13Don Armstrong: You know this girl here?
- 16:14Don Armstrong: I do not.
- 16:15Don Armstrong: You don't?
- 16:15Don Armstrong: Well, she's taking pictures and we're talking about her, and she's going, oh, let's go over here.
- 16:20Don Armstrong: We gotta be talking about something good or not.
- 16:22Don Armstrong: We could be talking about something not so good.
- 16:25Don Armstrong: You wouldn't want to be any part of that.
- 16:27Don Armstrong: But but anyway.
- 16:28SPEAKER_05: Taking still images on if you don't care.
- 16:30Don Armstrong: So do you do weddings?
- 16:32SPEAKER_05: Not yet.
- 16:33SPEAKER_05: That is that is one of my big goals is to do weddings.
- 16:36SPEAKER_05: Uh, my sister is getting married in like a few weeks, so I didn't know.
- 16:39Don Armstrong: So she's gonna be the test mule.
- 16:41SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 16:41SPEAKER_05: She did hire a camera.
- 16:42SPEAKER_05: Maybe not a mule, but she did hire a camera person, of course.
- 16:45SPEAKER_05: You know, she got her own photography, but I am gonna bring mine just so I can just some experience.
- 16:50SPEAKER_05: Shadow her.
- 16:50SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:51Mike Marrs: Let me give you just a quick background.
- 16:53Mike Marrs: When I was getting started doing freelance work and all that stuff, my wife went with me.
- 16:58Mike Marrs: She would go out there and take pictures of the crowd while I'm taking pictures of the cars.
- 17:02Mike Marrs: Yes.
- 17:03Mike Marrs: It was great and fun.
- 17:04Mike Marrs: But she decided she wanted to do weddings, so she would come and help me do cars, and I had to go help her do weddings.
- 17:10Don Armstrong: That's why he's on his fourth wife.
- 17:12Mike Marrs: Exactly.
- 17:12Mike Marrs: I'm just telling you.
- 17:13Mike Marrs: He's getting married next week.
- 17:14Mike Marrs: Oh no.
- 17:15Mike Marrs: When you get find out them when them bridesmaids come out and start griping at you because you're not doing something, and they want you to go do it, and the mother-in-law won't let you in there with the bride who's getting dressed, and you don't want to go in there while she's getting dressed.
- 17:29Mike Marrs: They're out there griping at you.
- 17:30SPEAKER_05: No, it seems like there's not going to be any wins to this.
- 17:33SPEAKER_05: Stick taking pictures of cars.
- 17:35SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 17:36Mike Marrs: That's what I'm that's the that's the story.
- 17:39SPEAKER_05: Yeah, honestly, I think that is where I'll end up sticking, you know, because I do love cars.
- 17:42SPEAKER_05: Cars have been in my life since I was about five or six years old.
- 17:45SPEAKER_05: So, and I mean, I don't think I ever see myself getting tired of it.
- 17:48SPEAKER_05: Good.
- 17:49Don Armstrong: Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
- 17:51Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 17:51Don Armstrong: You just keep on doing it.
- 17:52Don Armstrong: Stay away from the weddings.
- 17:53SPEAKER_05: Is this the kind of cars though that I mean you're you're Yeah.
- 17:56SPEAKER_05: I love I do also love like the older Americans and the older Japanese, you know.
- 18:00SPEAKER_05: I love a little bit of everything, you know.

- 20:56Don Armstrong: Sure.
- 20:57Don Armstrong: And some of these cars actually could fit right, all of them actually could fit right in here today.
- 21:02Don Armstrong: So are you ready, Mr.
- 21:03Don Armstrong: Mars?
- 21:04Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 21:05Don Armstrong: I know that you did the video on this.

- 21:10Don Armstrong: David is included.
- 21:12Don Armstrong: What is the hemming sold car price on a 1996 96 Chevrolet Corvette?
- 21:20Don Armstrong: It looks completely stock.
- 21:23Don Armstrong: Stock wheels.
- 21:24Don Armstrong: I think it's black or dark in color.
- 21:27Don Armstrong: It looks clean, nothing special.
- 21:28Don Armstrong: How much do you think that that's sold for?
- 21:30Don Armstrong: 96 Chevy Corvette.
- 21:33Mike Marrs: Looks like it's automatic.
- 21:34Jeff Dziekan: That would be a C4.
- 21:37Jeff Dziekan: I want to say right at 10 grand.
- 21:40Jeff Dziekan: I was gonna say that.
- 21:41Jeff Dziekan: I'll say 12.
- 21:42Mike Marrs: Jeff Heitzman says twenty-four big ones.
- 21:45Jeff Dziekan: Uh oh.
- 21:46Mike Marrs: And George says sixteen.
- 21:49Jeff Dziekan: We got George and we got George and Jeff.
- 21:51Jeff Dziekan: And Jeff and David.
- 21:53Jeff Dziekan: And David.
- 21:53Jeff Dziekan: All right.
- 21:54Jeff Dziekan: Well, it sold for 1417.
- 21:56Jeff Dziekan: Oh, very good, David.
- 21:57Mike Marrs: Jeff, what did you say, David?
- 21:58Mike Marrs: You said twelve.
- 21:59Don Armstrong: Twelve?

- 22:12Don Armstrong: Okay?
- 22:13Don Armstrong: 68 Corvette.
- 22:15Don Armstrong: Again, it looks stock.
- 22:17Don Armstrong: Um does it have white walls on it?
- 22:20Don Armstrong: Somebody, surely to God, didn't do that, but whatever.
- 22:23Don Armstrong: It does have that god-awful luggage rack on the back.
- 22:27Don Armstrong: It's a 68 Corvette.
- 22:29Don Armstrong: What I'm thinking is that this might be a stock 68 Corvette.
- 22:37Don Armstrong: And it looks kind of original.
- 22:39Don Armstrong: I'm going to say 22.
- 22:40Mike Marrs: Heisman says 30.
- 22:42Mike Marrs: Okay.
- 22:43Mike Marrs: George says 1299.
- 22:46Don Armstrong: Would you like to have a guess, David?
- 22:48Don Armstrong: 18,000.
- 22:50Don Armstrong: $25,200.
- 22:52Mike Marrs: Yeah.
- 22:54Mike Marrs: So a 68.
- 22:56Mike Marrs: I think it just got a bunch of options on it.
- 22:58Mike Marrs: Must have with the luggage rack you were talking about and stuff.
- 23:00Don Armstrong: It's a luggage rack.
- 23:01Don Armstrong: But it's got chrome buffers.
- 23:02Don Armstrong: I like that.
- 23:03Don Armstrong: All right, next up.
- 23:04Don Armstrong: 74 Dodge Charger.
- 23:06Don Armstrong: 1974 Dodge Charger with uh with are you ready?
- 23:13Don Armstrong: It has a it has a Landau vinyl top.
- 23:18Don Armstrong: Oh my.
- 23:19Don Armstrong: Which is like a half vinyl top.
- 23:21Don Armstrong: It is so ugly, I can't even begin to tell you how bad that is.
- 23:25Don Armstrong: But they sold them in 1974.
- 23:27Don Armstrong: I'm gonna go this looks like all stock, all original.
- 23:31Don Armstrong: It's not it's not a show car or anything like that.
- 23:34Jeff Dziekan: Let me see the 15 grand.
- 23:37Jeff Dziekan: 15.
- 23:38Jeff Dziekan: 15.
- 23:39Jeff Dziekan: David?
- 23:39Jeff Dziekan: 10 grand.
- 23:40Jeff Dziekan: 10 grand for David.
- 23:41Jeff Dziekan: Mr.
- 23:42Mike Marrs: Heisman says 18.
- 23:44Mike Marrs: Big one.
- 23:45Mike Marrs: Is that that car right there?
- 23:46Mike Marrs: Uh-huh.
- 23:47Mike Marrs: He says 18?
- 23:48Mike Marrs: George says 13.
- 23:50Mike Marrs: 9.
- 23:51Don Armstrong: It sold for 16, 275.
- 23:53Don Armstrong: Oh wow.
- 23:54Don Armstrong: The thing is massively big.
- 23:56Don Armstrong: It is.
- 23:56Jeff Dziekan: And I like it.
- 23:57Jeff Dziekan: And the big hood and the big indicar.
- 24:00Jeff Dziekan: Here's a really nice model.
- 24:01Don Armstrong: 1966.
- 24:02Don Armstrong: Oldsmobile 442.
- 24:04Don Armstrong: Yeah, baby.
- 24:04Don Armstrong: Price of the couple of things.
- 24:05Don Armstrong: Old 442 66 model.
- 24:09Don Armstrong: It looks like it has been restored.
- 24:11Don Armstrong: It looks like it may be original.
- 24:15Don Armstrong: I don't think it's a resto mod.
- 24:16Don Armstrong: I think it's original.
- 24:17Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, I mean it's it's still got the four speed in it, it looks like.
- 24:20Jeff Dziekan: I'm gonna go 21.
- 24:22Jeff Dziekan: 30 grand.
- 24:24Jeff Dziekan: 30 grand.
- 24:25Mike Marrs: And our boys out there still working on it.

- 24:37Don Armstrong: George?
- 24:38Mike Marrs: Yeah, I hadn't heard from George.
- 24:39Don Armstrong: Okay, so yeah, we'll tell you that it sold for$44,100.
- 24:44Don Armstrong: Which tells me that it stuck.
- 24:46Mike Marrs: Yeah, and it's George came in at$21,999 for about half price.
- 24:51Don Armstrong: Now here's something that uh I think that most people would appreciate a 2003 Chevy Silverado SS.
- 24:58Don Armstrong: Now it's a 2003 SS, so don't think that it's got you know gobs of horsepower or something.
- 25:03Don Armstrong: But it is an SS.
- 25:04Don Armstrong: And it looks stock.
- 25:06Don Armstrong: Um I don't I can't really see the wheels.
- 25:09Jeff Dziekan: I'm just gonna take a guess here and go 18.
- 25:12Jeff Dziekan: That's probably high.
- 25:13Don Armstrong: But it is but it is a truck.
- 25:15Don Armstrong: Yeah, so keep that in mind.
- 25:17Jeff Dziekan: But it's it's a it's an SS, yeah.
- 25:20Mike Marrs: I didn't think they made the real ones.
- 25:22Mike Marrs: 13 cruise.
- 25:24Don Armstrong: David says 13.
- 25:26Don Armstrong: Well, I will tell you that it sold for$24,150.
- 25:32Mike Marrs: I thought I was high on the 18th.
- 25:33Mike Marrs: Right.
- 25:33Mike Marrs: Yeah, George, 999.

- 25:39Don Armstrong: All right.
- 25:40Don Armstrong: The next up is a 1960 Rambler American.
- 25:46Jeff Dziekan: Look at that.
- 25:48Jeff Dziekan: It's even got a bad.
- 25:49Jeff Dziekan: It's a two-door in it.
- 25:51Jeff Dziekan: It is.
- 25:52Jeff Dziekan: Look at that.
- 25:53Jeff Dziekan: I'd drive it.
- 25:54Jeff Dziekan: That's real steel right there.
- 25:55Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 25:57Jeff Dziekan: See that?

- 26:17Mike Marrs: Yeah.

- 26:26Don Armstrong: Paige, George said it's big dare to get to your car.

- 31:40Jeff Dziekan: And was the thing you mentioned.
- 31:42Don Armstrong: Did Paige ever find the uh food book?
- 31:44Don Armstrong: There's food over there's some people on around the road.
- 31:46Don Armstrong: Out there, yeah.
- 31:47Jeff Dziekan: From the inside of the tent.
- 31:49Jeff Dziekan: Well, as soon as we get done, I've got to get something to eat.
- 31:52Jeff Dziekan: On the advertisement, they're giving away two cars from each of the dealership.
- 31:56Jeff Dziekan: Uh they're offering raffle, right?
- 31:59Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 32:00Jeff Dziekan: Well, you you get to buy them for a thousand.
- 32:02Mike Marrs: Right.
- 32:02Mike Marrs: And you have to go to each dealer to uh register for that.
- 32:05Mike Marrs: Is that how that works?
- 32:05Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, I found that out earlier.
- 32:07Mike Marrs: One of them was a Corvette.
- 32:08Mike Marrs: I heard I heard them the other day talk about uh uh you know five, oh six, some some Corvette that they had taken in was going to be one of them.
- 32:15Mike Marrs: Yeah.
- 32:16Mike Marrs: I would take it for a salary business, isn't it?
- 32:18Mike Marrs: I think it's that black strawberry there with there with the scar of seats in it?
- 32:22Jeff Dziekan: Uh-huh.
- 32:22Jeff Dziekan: That ain't it.
- 32:23Jeff Dziekan: It's the one with the hood closed.
- 32:25Don Armstrong: It's the one with the hood closed.
- 32:26Don Armstrong: Well, there's another one with the hood closed next to it.
- 32:28Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 32:29Don Armstrong: You know, there's nothing really exceptional.
- 32:30Don Armstrong: It's clean under the hood, don't get me wrong, but there's two schools of thought about showing the car.
- 32:36Don Armstrong: If it's judged, you need to have the hood open because you're going to have that judged cleanliness, all the accoutrements that you added on, the stockness of it, that sort of stuff.
- 32:47Don Armstrong: But if you're going to show it in a meet like this, my school of thought is you want to see the body lines.
- 32:53Don Armstrong: You want to see what it looks like with the hood closed.
- 32:56Mike Marrs: Yes, that's actually.
- 32:57Mike Marrs: If you don't have a lot of chrome or a lot of add-ons to put under there, then yeah.
- 33:01Don Armstrong: My car speaks for itself.
- 33:02Mike Marrs: Well, you need one of those things on the side of a Pikachu or whatever that is on the side of yours.
- 33:07Mike Marrs: That yellow thing on the side of the side of that black car.
- 33:10Don Armstrong: Don't tempt me.
- 33:10Mike Marrs: The dingo stole my baby.
- 33:14Don Armstrong: That's a that's that's something new.
- 33:16Don Armstrong: I think so.
- 33:17Don Armstrong: And uh huh.
- 33:17Don Armstrong: And and Jeff's going to sell it as soon as the show is over with.
- 33:21Don Armstrong: Time now for my car review, the 2026 Kia Sportage.
- 33:25Don Armstrong: Now don't turn your nose up because I think that you may like this.
- 33:29Don Armstrong: Uh, I had the hybrid SX Prestige all-wheel drive.
- 33:36Don Armstrong: This is considered a small SUV, Seats 5.
- 33:39Don Armstrong: It was all new in 2023.
- 33:41Don Armstrong: One of the most modern, sharp-looking exterior designs on the market today, I think.
- 33:48Don Armstrong: Vertical front lighting reminds of the 60s GTO.
- 33:52Don Armstrong: I know that may be a stretch for some.
- 33:54Don Armstrong: I don't care.
- 33:55Don Armstrong: Stretch it out there.
- 33:56Don Armstrong: I'm telling you, it's got a good different look to it, and I like different because most of the cars today they all look the same.
- 34:02Don Armstrong: This one doesn't.
- 34:03Don Armstrong: Uh black wheels go with the hybrid.
- 34:06Don Armstrong: And obviously, hybrid is part of the trim package.
- 34:11Don Armstrong: Uh, and so we change wheels with trim packages these days.
- 34:15Don Armstrong: Extra big hatch opening should swallow almost anything.
- 34:19Don Armstrong: I mean, this thing takes up the whole back end of the vehicle.
- 34:25Don Armstrong: But I liked most everything.
- 34:27Don Armstrong: What could use improvement?
- 34:28Don Armstrong: The height line on the rear funny.
- 34:31Don Armstrong: I'm sure I'd get used to it eventually, but it looks funny.
- 34:36Don Armstrong: Um interior high highlights include quality, look, and with the top of the line against high marks, comfortable seats, front and back, with sharp waffle human screen stretches from an instrument cluster to the dash and the digital display.
- 34:59Don Armstrong: Dial it up a trans shifter on the center console.
- 35:02Don Armstrong: That's with a dial and not an actual stake.
- 35:06Don Armstrong: Uh trunk room, cargo room, adequate for this small SUV.
- 35:11Don Armstrong: Now what I liked about it?
- 35:12Don Armstrong: Easy accessory controls.
- 35:15Don Armstrong: And let me tell you something.
- 35:16Don Armstrong: You're getting harder these days.
- 35:20Don Armstrong: You really have to look for something.
- 35:24Don Armstrong: If you're going to buy a new car, I encourage you to get in, drive it so you can find out what controls are.
- 35:32Don Armstrong: Some of them are in the infotainment system.
- 35:35Don Armstrong: If you're good with that, I'm good with it for you as well.
- 35:39Don Armstrong: You know, I see I see Mike Mars coming this way.
- 35:43Jeff Dziekan: Do you?
- 35:44Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 35:44Don Armstrong: Uh-huh.
- 35:45Don Armstrong: See him right there in the Gorilla suit?
- 35:47Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, there you go.
- 35:48Don Armstrong: Um, what could use improvement?
- 35:50Don Armstrong: A few more buttons, please.
- 35:53Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 35:56Jeff Dziekan: David, go get the monkey.
- 35:59Don Armstrong: Uh, engine, a 1.6 liter turbo, inline four-cylinder, 232 horsepower, which ain't too bad.
- 36:06Don Armstrong: Uh 271 pound feet of torque, six feet automatic transmission, with a 2,000-pound rating uh as far as towing is concerned.
- 36:14Don Armstrong: So a one-ton tow.
- 36:16Don Armstrong: 35 miles per gallon city, 36 on the highway for a combined 35.
- 36:21Don Armstrong: I got 34.4 miles over 376 miles.
- 36:27Don Armstrong: What I liked about it?
- 36:28Don Armstrong: The mileage and the fair competitive pricing on this vehicle.
- 36:31Don Armstrong: What could use improvement?
- 36:33Don Armstrong: Come over here and get on the air with come on over here, get behind us.
- 36:36Don Armstrong: Let's take a picture.
- 36:37Don Armstrong: Take a picture.
- 36:39Don Armstrong: Come on.
- 36:40Don Armstrong: Don't I was gonna say don't trip on the curb.
- 36:42Don Armstrong: Got it.
- 36:43Don Armstrong: That's it.
- 36:44Don Armstrong: Come on, you gotta get behind us because the camera's back.
- 36:47Don Armstrong: There you go.
- 36:47Don Armstrong: Come on over here, young man.
- 36:48Don Armstrong: Uh, here we go.
- 36:49Don Armstrong: Oh, we got some other folks.
- 36:50Don Armstrong: So y'all get behind it.
- 36:52Jeff Dziekan: There you go.
- 36:52Jeff Dziekan: Come on up.
- 36:54Jeff Dziekan: There you go.
- 36:55Jeff Dziekan: This is great.
- 36:57Jeff Dziekan: Mike, you gotta move the camera.
- 36:58Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, you gotta get the camera, Mike.
- 37:00Jeff Dziekan: Hold on.
- 37:01Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, so we've got to get the camera.
- 37:03Don Armstrong: Yeah, because this is some good stuff here.
- 37:05Don Armstrong: Thank you guys for stopping by.
- 37:07Don Armstrong: Space City Robot Entertainment.
- 37:09Don Armstrong: So you've got to give them the plug.
- 37:11Don Armstrong: Mike, are you part of this group too?
- 37:12Don Armstrong: You're part of this group.
- 37:13Don Armstrong: Come on in here.
- 37:14Don Armstrong: There you go.
- 37:14Don Armstrong: Come on in here.
- 37:15Don Armstrong: Come on.
- 37:16Don Armstrong: Come on.
- 37:16Don Armstrong: There you go.
- 37:17Don Armstrong: Get in here.
- 37:17Jeff Dziekan: Get in here.
- 37:18Jeff Dziekan: There you go.
- 37:18Jeff Dziekan: How does my hair look?
- 37:19Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 37:20Jeff Dziekan: There you go.
- 37:21Jeff Dziekan: Look.
- 37:22Don Armstrong: This is great stuff.
- 37:22Don Armstrong: Thank you so much.
- 37:23Don Armstrong: Thank you, Mike.
- 37:24Don Armstrong: Appreciate you stopping by.
- 37:26Jeff Dziekan: I've never had a monkey pet me before.
- 37:28Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, you have.
- 37:29Jeff Dziekan: Well, I have.
- 37:30Jeff Dziekan: That's right.
- 37:30Jeff Dziekan: That was back in the 70s.
- 37:34Jeff Dziekan: Back in the 70s.
- 37:34Jeff Dziekan: And you, you, y'all, you all are together, right?
- 37:37SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 37:37SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 37:38SPEAKER_08: Good.
- 37:39SPEAKER_08: This is entertainment.
- 37:44Don Armstrong: So uh you need to come and take it.
- 37:46Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 37:46Don Armstrong: We'd love to have you out there.
- 37:48Don Armstrong: This is great stuff.
- 37:49Don Armstrong: Yeah, I like it.
- 37:50Don Armstrong: Um, so robots.
- 37:51Don Armstrong: Do you each have a name?
- 37:52Don Armstrong: No, you just robots.
- 37:54Don Armstrong: Just got it.
- 37:54Don Armstrong: Space City Robot Entertainment.
- 37:56Don Armstrong: This is very cool.
- 37:58Don Armstrong: I like that.
- 37:58Don Armstrong: You know, I needed somebody that looked like that.
- 38:01Don Armstrong: Harry Batmanov one time back in my day.
- 38:03Don Armstrong: That was the fun you used to shave it for.
- 38:05Don Armstrong: That was yes, I remember that very well.
- 38:07Jeff Dziekan: There you go.
- 38:09Don Armstrong: So you know, I was doing a car review, but I've got totally sidelined to redo it.
- 38:13Don Armstrong: What you have names, specific names for your No, they don't.
- 38:16Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 38:17Don Armstrong: They don't.
- 38:17Don Armstrong: So uh anyway.
- 38:20Don Armstrong: Um I I I've lost my thank you, monkey.
- 38:25Don Armstrong: Thank you, buddy.
- 38:26Don Armstrong: Thank you guys very much for stopping by.
- 38:28Don Armstrong: We appreciate it.
- 38:30Don Armstrong: Be good.
- 38:30Don Armstrong: Matter of fact, you're more than welcome to stick around for a while because uh I don't I don't have anything else to say, clearly.
- 38:37Don Armstrong: Um yeah, it's thank you very much.
- 38:40Don Armstrong: I found my spot.
- 38:42Don Armstrong: All right.
- 38:42Don Armstrong: So where were we?
- 38:44Don Armstrong: We were talking about I can't I can't there you go.
- 38:49Jeff Dziekan: Exactly.
- 38:50Jeff Dziekan: That's it.
- 38:50Jeff Dziekan: That's it.
- 38:51Jeff Dziekan: That's better.
- 38:52Jeff Dziekan: That's beautiful.
- 38:52Don Armstrong: It's better that that's better entertainment than I could ever yeah.
- 38:58Don Armstrong: That's it.
- 38:59Don Armstrong: You got that, Mars?
- 39:00Don Armstrong: He's got it.
- 39:01Don Armstrong: He's got it.
- 39:02Don Armstrong: God bless.
- 39:02Don Armstrong: This is good stuff.
- 39:04Don Armstrong: You cannot Mike, give him a little peck on the cheek as he goes by, though.
- 39:07Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 39:07Don Armstrong: And uh where is Paige nearby?
- 39:09Don Armstrong: Maybe she could.
- 39:10Don Armstrong: I think she ran off and hid.
- 39:11Don Armstrong: Well, I I would too.
- 39:13Don Armstrong: Her grandfather is here.
- 39:15unknown: All right.
- 39:16Jeff Dziekan: Okay, that all happened at 11 uh 34.
- 39:19Don Armstrong: Yeah, yeah, 1134.
- 39:21Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 39:21Don Armstrong: So uh I was doing a car review and we we we've got it, we got it blasted away.
- 39:26Jeff Dziekan: You know what?
- 39:27Jeff Dziekan: We what you what'd you say, Jeff?
- 39:30Jeff Dziekan: I don't think we even had it on the screen.
- 39:32Jeff Dziekan: We didn't?
- 39:33Jeff Dziekan: I think I don't I don't think it was still in the car review.
- 39:36Don Armstrong: Oh, that's too bad.
- 39:37Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 39:38Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 39:39Don Armstrong: Well, at any rate, um, I will tell you that um the 2026 Kia Sportage also had a smooth ride for such a small vehicle.
- 39:51Don Armstrong: Uh what could use improvement?
- 39:52Don Armstrong: Maybe an off-road trim offering.
- 39:54Don Armstrong: I don't know, maybe.
- 39:55Don Armstrong: Uh base trim price out at 40,390.
- 39:58Don Armstrong: As tested price, 41,985.
- 40:01Don Armstrong: Base model price$30,490.
- 40:05Don Armstrong: Competitors, Toyota Rav 4 hybrid for$32,850.
- 40:09Don Armstrong: The Honda CRV gas version,$39.20.
- 40:13Don Armstrong: And I included that because uh Honda doesn't have a hybrid.
- 40:17Don Armstrong: But the Honda Tucson, its cousin, has a plug-in hybrid and it's at$40,325.
- 40:24Don Armstrong: So I think the base model price of this uh hits a sweet spot,$30,490.
- 40:29Don Armstrong: So I encourage you to uh seek out a dealer for the Kia Sportage and go check it out.
- 40:37Don Armstrong: Cool.
- 40:38Don Armstrong: So that's my car review.
- 40:42Don Armstrong: You okay with that?
- 40:43Mike Marrs: May do a little editing for you to send it to.
- 40:45Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, I don't know if it came out on the air because we had the car review on.
- 40:48Mike Marrs: Well, the audio did.
- 40:49Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, well, you're gonna have to edit it in.
- 40:51Mike Marrs: Yeah.
- 40:52Don Armstrong: Can you do that?
- 40:53Mike Marrs: Well, I was gonna edit them out.
- 40:55Don Armstrong: No, no, edit them in.
- 40:58Don Armstrong: Edit them in.
- 40:59Don Armstrong: I want to see them because people don't know what we're talking about here.
- 41:03Don Armstrong: I don't even know if we got the shot because it was in review.
- 41:06Don Armstrong: Yeah, but at any rate, yeah, we had the video running.
- 41:08Mike Marrs: We'll have to look at it and see.
- 41:10Don Armstrong: Okay, so there was a monkey and two robots that stopped by to say hello to the show.
- 41:13Don Armstrong: And they were touching me.
- 41:14Don Armstrong: Yeah, so sorry that we didn't have uh we didn't have the video up, but we are going to have the video up for the rest of the show.
- 41:23Don Armstrong: We're not gonna miss it.
- 41:25Don Armstrong: Because I've got a whole slew of headlines that I need to get in.
- 41:30Don Armstrong: Because I wouldn't be doing my due diligence without it.
- 41:34Don Armstrong: Oh.
- 41:35Don Armstrong: Can I say those words?
- 41:36Don Armstrong: It sounds very lawyerish.
- 41:37Don Armstrong: Put them all together.
- 41:38Mike Marrs: Due diligence.
- 41:43Don Armstrong: No, we don't need them.
- 41:47Don Armstrong: Maybe we do.
- 41:48Jeff Dziekan: Where are we at?
- 41:49Don Armstrong: Well, we need to take a break, is what we need to do.
- 41:52Don Armstrong: We're at uh yeah, we do, because we're at that time of the day.
- 41:55Don Armstrong: Uh and so we are at the uh Team Gilman Mega Meet up here on the North Freeway.

- 44:11Don Armstrong: Yep, a lot of turnout.
- 44:13Don Armstrong: Yeah, very nice turnout.
- 44:14Don Armstrong: I can't I can't imagine anybody would be uh disappointed at the turnout here.
- 44:20Don Armstrong: It's huge.
- 44:21Don Armstrong: All right.
- 44:22Don Armstrong: I've got car stories, and I want you to listen up because I want you to comment.
- 44:26Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 44:27Don Armstrong: Make your usual Jeffree stuff.
- 44:30Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 44:30Don Armstrong: Federal Trade Commission is warning 97 automobile dealership groups, their advertised prices must include all required fees.
- 44:43Don Armstrong: The vehicles advertised must be available, and the price in the ad must be offered to all customers.
- 44:52Don Armstrong: This is something new.
- 44:54Don Armstrong: Uh the agency announced March 13th.
- 44:57Jeff Dziekan: What makes it different, Don, than all that little fine print you see at the bottom and we watching TV?
- 45:01Jeff Dziekan: You can't you need a microscope to look at it.
- 45:03Don Armstrong: Well, that car has to be available with all the stuff that's on it and it has to be included in the price.
- 45:11Jeff Dziekan: Isn't there like a there's a uh what do they call it, uh uh disclaimer in that may may not apply.
- 45:18Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, well, um then you need to talk to the state of Texas if they're not gonna be able to do it.
- 45:23Don Armstrong: They're gonna crack down.
- 45:24Don Armstrong: Okay.
- 45:24Don Armstrong: Um the Trump Vance FTC is committed to preventing auto dealers from misleading consumers with low advertised prices and then adding on mandatory fees at the end of the purchasing process.
- 45:37Don Armstrong: Chris McFarage, director of the FTC Bureau of Consumer Protection, said that in a statement.
- 45:43Don Armstrong: He says, I am concerned that your company may be engaging in one of the more one or more of these practices, which offers six examples of what the agency considers illegal advertising behavior.
- 45:56Don Armstrong: You ready for the list?
- 45:57Don Armstrong: Yep.
- 45:59Don Armstrong: Advertising a price for a vehicle that does not reflect all required fees.
- 46:07Don Armstrong: Advertising a price that reflects rebates or discounts not available to all consumers.
- 46:13Don Armstrong: Advertising a price that fails to take into account the amount of an additional required down payment.
- 46:21Don Armstrong: Conditioning the advertised price on consumers using dealer financing, requiring consumers to buy additional items not reflected in the advertised price and advertising unavailable or non-existent vehicles.
- 46:41Don Armstrong: Those are the new rules.
- 46:42Jeff Dziekan: Lost leaders.
- 46:50Mike Marrs: I would think.
- 46:51Don Armstrong: Well, you better be on your toes and be able to be able to back up whatever it is that you've advertised and make sure that that vehicle.
- 46:59Mike Marrs: Which is fine with me.
- 47:00Mike Marrs: I you know, tell me what this is gonna cost.
- 47:02Don Armstrong: Well, here's the problem that I see.
- 47:05Don Armstrong: So let's just take, for instance, that Subaru right there.
- 47:10Don Armstrong: Right here.
- 47:10Don Armstrong: Right?
- 47:10Don Armstrong: Yeah, it's a brand new, I don't know, Forester or something.
- 47:14Don Armstrong: Okay, so I've advertised that for sale at this dealership for let's just say forty thousand dollars.
- 47:22Don Armstrong: Okay, okay.
- 47:24Don Armstrong: Does it does not include tax, title, and license?
- 47:29Don Armstrong: Or, and it doesn't say here, do you have to put that the tax title and license on the price of that car and show the price of that on the sticker?
- 47:40Don Armstrong: I'm not sure you're I'm just asking the question.
- 47:42Mike Marrs: Well, I understand, but it sounded like that's what they're getting to, to where you have to say it's forty thousand dollars plus tax titan license makes it 4123.99.
- 47:52Jeff Dziekan: Oh contrary.
- 47:53Jeff Dziekan: So you have to advertise that.
- 47:54Jeff Dziekan: Oh, but wait, what about you're in finance and you go, what?
- 47:58Jeff Dziekan: I'm I want I want coding on it.
- 48:00Jeff Dziekan: I'm gonna add coding to it.
- 48:02Jeff Dziekan: I want to put wheels on it.
- 48:04Jeff Dziekan: But you can put wheels on, then you get the TTL after all of that's finalized.
- 48:09Jeff Dziekan: No, you're gonna put TTL on just that car.
- 48:11Don Armstrong: No, it's just as long as you advertise that you've put all that stuff on that car, you're good to go, as long as that's the total price.
- 48:18Mike Marrs: Yeah, but you as a consumer, if you want to add more, then it goes to different deposits.
- 48:22Mike Marrs: I got you.
- 48:22Mike Marrs: I could see that.
- 48:23Don Armstrong: One of the other things is too, is that when you talk about financing, then you talk about well, you don't qualify for this financing because you have poor credit rating.
- 48:33Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, okay, you've got to switch vehicles.
- 48:35Don Armstrong: You can't, I don't know how you could advertise that because it depends on your credit rating.
- 48:41Don Armstrong: Unless it's zero finance.
- 48:44Mike Marrs: I I've seen some disclaimers though in the fine print where they talk about, you know, got to have certain credit ratings or may not be available to all, depending on your credit, zero finance.
- 49:00Don Armstrong: According to this, then you have to have it available to all.
- 49:04Jeff Dziekan: Well, that sounds like it'll be a good thing then.
- 49:07Mike Marrs: I I kind of think it probably is, but then when you get to the other side of that, like the price leaders, you know, you get in there, you walk in.
- 49:13Mike Marrs: Well, we've we sold all of those cars that we had to that price.
- 49:17Jeff Dziekan: We got a baby blue whatever.
- 49:19Jeff Dziekan: Yeah, you wanted a red one.
- 49:21Don Armstrong: Yeah, so I think that the I think you need to do your homework before you go to the dealership.
- 49:24Don Armstrong: And then when you get to the dealership, you find the car that you like and say, Okay, I want to see this, this, this, this, this, this, this.
- 49:31Don Armstrong: I want to see you meet that.
- 49:32Mike Marrs: That's always been the problem, though, trying to get them to show you.
- 49:36Mike Marrs: Just tell me what it's gonna cost me to get out the door.
- 49:39Mike Marrs: Well, we gotta do this, we gotta no, just tell me, I'll write you a check.
- 49:44Don Armstrong: No, buy it online.
- 49:47Don Armstrong: Like what people are doing.
- 49:48Don Armstrong: I understand.
- 49:49Don Armstrong: A new car, you've already driven it, you know that you want that color, you want that kind of car, you want the automatic transmission, you want this, you want that.
- 49:58Don Armstrong: You found it, just buy it online.
- 50:01Don Armstrong: Yeah, that's possible.
- 50:03Don Armstrong: Okay, another story.
- 50:05Don Armstrong: U.S.
- 50:05Don Armstrong: Auto Market proved a mixed bag for major automakers in February, with volume dropping at Ford, Subaru and Mazda, but edging up at other companies in what was a weak stretch for the second straight month.
- 50:17Don Armstrong: New car and light vehicle sales fell 3.8% to 1.18 million last month, with retail volume down 5.6% and fleet shipments up 4.5%.
- 50:29Don Armstrong: Whether an end of federal tax credits towards electric vehicle purchases and affordability weighed on showroom traffic last month, according to analysts.
- 50:37Don Armstrong: The weakness is expected to stretch into the early spring selling season.
- 50:41Don Armstrong: March and April are highly likely to be down as well.
- 50:48Don Armstrong: Ford Motor Company's U.S.
- 50:49Don Armstrong: sales fell 5.5% last month, volume down six point three.
- 50:55Don Armstrong: Uh volume rose three point two at Toyota, deliveries up three point three.
- 50:59Don Armstrong: Toyota's results driven by a twenty-two percent increase in pickup sales.
- 51:04Don Armstrong: All right.
- 51:04Don Armstrong: Wow.
- 51:05Don Armstrong: Imagine that.
- 51:06Don Armstrong: Yeah.
- 51:06Don Armstrong: And a 14% gain in car sales.
- 51:09Don Armstrong: Huh.
- 51:10Don Armstrong: So it seems to be trending in the right direction.
- 51:12Don Armstrong: Yeah, they do.
- 51:13Don Armstrong: Average retail transaction price with non-EV vehicles increasing three percent, now up to forty-six thousand and ninety-seven dollars.
- 51:24Don Armstrong: Buy one today.
- 51:25Jeff Dziekan: Yeah.
- 51:26Jeff Dziekan: Plus T T and L.
- 51:29Jeff Dziekan: Well, and they're they're giving away cars here at each do it each of the dealer.
- 51:33Jeff Dziekan: That's right.
- 51:34Jeff Dziekan: And uh the if uh the way I understand it, I haven't seen it yet.
- 51:39Jeff Dziekan: You get a ticket with a number on it, and then for that number, you have the ability to buy that vehicle for a thousand dollars plus DTL.
- 51:47Jeff Dziekan: So I don't know what the cars look like.
- 51:49Jeff Dziekan: Uh Mike heard of something.
- 51:50Jeff Dziekan: I heard a couple of them.
- 51:51Jeff Dziekan: The there was one of them had a Corvette that that was gonna be, and then another one it was uh one of the Mazas, I guess.
- 51:58Jeff Dziekan: No, I'm that I don't know, but they're saying they're available.
- 52:01Jeff Dziekan: I don't know what they were gonna be, but they're all evidently drivable certified for all that.
- 52:08Jeff Dziekan: Not brand new.
- 52:09Jeff Dziekan: No.
- 52:10Jeff Dziekan: By no means, so yeah.
- 52:12Jeff Dziekan: There you go.
- 52:14Mike Marrs: Be interesting.
- 52:15Mike Marrs: That's Theresa Paige came, got up at five o'clock in the morning.
- 52:19Mike Marrs: She can register for the vehicle.
- 52:21Mike Marrs: She gets a ticket.
- 52:22Don Armstrong: Good.
- 52:23Don Armstrong: So she's got a good chance of anybody else.
- 52:26Don Armstrong: And you gotta be present.
- 52:29Don Armstrong: And that's why Laura showed up.
- 52:30Don Armstrong: She wanted to have a chance.
- 52:32Don Armstrong: Honda is bringing back its storied on again, off again, Insight nameplate.
- 52:38Don Armstrong: Remember the Insight, the Honda Insight?
- 52:40Mike Marrs: The Honda Insight.
- 52:41Mike Marrs: Kind of a weird looking.
- 52:42Don Armstrong: Compact crossover will be imported to the home market of Japan this spring.
- 52:48Don Armstrong: Limited to 3,000 vehicles, Honda said.
- 52:51Don Armstrong: A Honda spokesperson declined to comment on plans to introduce the new Insight to other markets.
- 52:57Don Armstrong: Where are they building it at?
- 52:58Don Armstrong: I don't know.
- 52:59Don Armstrong: Honda Motor Company.
- 53:01Don Armstrong: The story doesn't say.
- 53:02Mike Marrs: Are they building it here and importing it back to Japan?
- 53:05Don Armstrong: Yeah, they are.
- 53:06Don Armstrong: That's that's the thing that Honda's doing.
- 53:08Don Armstrong: They've got other cars that they're building here.
- 53:09Don Armstrong: Probably some cord and that sort of thing.
- 53:11Don Armstrong: Honda made history with the original pint-sized three-door insight hatchback in 1999.
- 53:17Don Armstrong: Way back in 1999, Mars, when it became the first gasoline electric vehicle to be sold in the United States, beating the Toyota Prius to market.
- 53:27Don Armstrong: But unlike the Prius, the Insights funky aerodynamics, replete with rear wheel covers, which were fender skirts in our day, never really caught on.
- 53:39Don Armstrong: Remember those?
- 53:40Don Armstrong: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 53:41Don Armstrong: God that could be I'll never forget when it came to the United States.
- 53:45Don Armstrong: Dan, Lieutenant Dan, Lieutenant Dan Patrick, he, I don't know, somehow or another, he had one.
- 53:52unknown: Yeah.
- 53:53Don Armstrong: And he says, get in, I'll take you for a ride.
- 53:55Don Armstrong: So we went riding somewhere in the thing.
- 53:56Don Armstrong: It was a smooth riding car, but my God, it was ugly.
- 54:02Don Armstrong: That's why they're the ugly the better.
- 54:04Don Armstrong: Yeah, yeah.
- 54:05Jeff Dziekan: Hey, ugly cars need love too.
