• 0:14
Pen, paper and your thoughts. Nothing else is required.
• 0:19
Before the invention of the telephone, followed by the
• 0:22
Internet, emails, smartphones and social media, handwriting a
• 0:26
letter wasn't the only way you could communicate with people
• 0:30
across physical distances. Today is all about going back to
• 0:35
the art of sitting down and writing a letter by hand and
• 0:38
sending it to someone. Which brings us to today's quote
• 0:41
from Keanu Reeves, who once said letters are something from you.
• 0:50
It's a different kind of intention than writing an
• 0:53
  e-mail. Reeves gets it.
• 0:56
Emails are efficient. Letters are intentional.
• 1:01
You choose paper, find a pen and sit down.
• 1:05
You think and form words by hand.
• 1:10
That takes time. That requires presents, and
• 1:13
that's the point. So today, write one letter by
• 1:19
hand to anyone. Not an e-mail, not a text.
• 1:25
A letter reads his right. It's a different intention, and
• 1:30
maybe a better one. That's going to do it for today.
• 1:33
I'm Andrew McGivern, signing off for now, but I'll be back
• 1:38
tomorrow. Same pod time, same pod station
• 1:43
  with another daily quote.
