- 0:00Speaker 1: With Stu Gotts and Hawkman.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Oh, I think we got one.
- 0:04Speaker 3: You're going to enjoy Today's Stu Gotts.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Oh, I'm going to enjoy it. But is the audience
- 0:10Speaker 2: going to enjoy it? Well?
- 0:12Speaker 3: When I say you're going to enjoy it, I really
- 0:14Speaker 3: mean the audience, the podcast audience in general, because they
- 0:16Speaker 3: seem to be enjoying what we're doing on the with
- 0:19Speaker 3: Stu Gotts and Hawkman Pod.
- 0:21Speaker 2: And we're enjoying it.
- 0:23Speaker 3: I look at the comments on YouTube and social media. Yeah,
- 0:29Speaker 3: people get to a little dose of stuff that they
- 0:34Speaker 3: probably haven't heard, sometimes for twenty years, and it brings
- 0:38Speaker 3: a smile to their face and it does to our
- 0:40Speaker 3: face as well. Like today, you're going to hear stuff
- 0:42Speaker 3: that you haven't heard, honestly in over a decade. It's
- 0:45Speaker 3: going to feel like, oh, yeah, this is great. I
- 0:48Speaker 3: remember it and I remember why that was in there.
- 0:51Speaker 3: But it's like it was a comfort food, little little
- 0:55Speaker 3: meat loaf for today's pod.
- 0:56Speaker 4: And I love that the audience loves it because if
- 0:59Speaker 4: you grew up of us, grew up with the show,
- 1:01Speaker 4: if the show means something to you, to have two
- 1:04Speaker 4: of the main parts of the show kind of walk
- 1:07Speaker 4: you through what they were thinking as that stuff went down.
- 1:10Speaker 4: That has to be very cool. So they enjoy it,
- 1:12Speaker 4: we enjoy doing it, and that's a very cool thing.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Hawk da. I love meatloaf so funny and food.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I love meat loaf, Yeah, a lot of I love meatloaf.
- 1:24Speaker 3: When I was a kid, my mom made meat loaf
- 1:26Speaker 3: and I made the mistake once of telling her, oh,
- 1:29Speaker 3: I really enjoy this meat loaf, and then she fed
- 1:31Speaker 3: it to me for nine months straight and then I
- 1:34Speaker 3: was like, Okay, this is enough meat loaf.
- 1:35Speaker 2: I didn't want meat loaf every day.
- 1:37Speaker 3: But it's a little running joke in my household because
- 1:42Speaker 3: I happened to like meat loaf and my wife doesn't.
- 1:48Speaker 3: And we've been married twenty eight years, right, she has
- 1:51Speaker 3: made meat loaf once because she doesn't like meat loaf.
- 1:56Speaker 3: And the one time she made the meat loaf, I
- 1:58Speaker 3: know she purposely fucked it up so that I'd never
- 2:01Speaker 3: asked for it again. She sabotaged the meat loaf. It
- 2:04Speaker 3: was more like a sloppy Joe. It was like, you
- 2:08Speaker 3: know how it's in like the the you know, like
- 2:10Speaker 3: the container that gives it its shape.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and uh, it was.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Like soupy I'm like, there's no it's missing the loaf.
- 2:18Speaker 3: There's meat here, there's no loaf, And she never made
- 2:22Speaker 3: it sense. The only decent meat loaf that used to
- 2:24Speaker 3: be out there was Boston Market. They had a very
- 2:27Speaker 3: good meat loaf. But I don't don't think they exist anymore.
- 2:30Speaker 4: I think there's still a couple out there, very underrated
- 2:33Speaker 4: fast food place Boston Market for me, at least, you know.
- 2:36Speaker 5: I think you can make the argument that no food
- 2:38Speaker 5: has worse pr than meat loaf.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Yeah, well it's plain vanilla. I mean brussel sprouts. Maybe
- 2:45Speaker 2: I like Brussels sprouts.
- 2:47Speaker 5: I like Brussels sprouts, but the pr around brussels sprout
- 2:50Speaker 5: rights it down.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Yes, yes, it gets a bad rap. So what Hawk's
- 2:54Speaker 4: wife did? Why would she slave over something she's not
- 2:57Speaker 4: gonna eat, she doesn't like, So she made you a
- 2:59Speaker 4: terrible meat loaf so you'll never have it again.
- 3:01Speaker 3: I mean on the opposite side of that, I mean
- 3:04Speaker 3: I've told this sort of crowder a million times, and
- 3:05Speaker 3: I think I used to tell it on the on
- 3:07Speaker 3: the show with you and Dan. You know, when we
- 3:10Speaker 3: first met, when we were dating, her big cooking item
- 3:13Speaker 3: was stuffed peppers. So she would make these, you know,
- 3:16Speaker 3: green peppers that were stuffed with ground beef and spices
- 3:21Speaker 3: and whatever.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Stuff peppers. This is a thing.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I wasn't aware that stuff peppers were things till I
- 3:26Speaker 3: started dating her. So I'm in the polite stage of
- 3:30Speaker 3: our relationship because we're just getting to know each other.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Yeah, of course.
- 3:33Speaker 2: So she's like, oh, you like the stuff peppers. I'm like, yeah,
- 3:36Speaker 2: that's great.
- 3:37Speaker 3: She starts putting out these stuffed peppers like three times
- 3:41Speaker 3: a week, and.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I gotta be honest with you. I don't think I
- 3:43Speaker 2: ever really liked them that much.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Like it was fine, right stool, But I was in
- 3:49Speaker 3: the stage where it's like, oh, yeah, this is great,
- 3:51Speaker 3: this is great, and man, I finally was like the
- 3:55Speaker 3: second year of marriage, I go, I gotta be honest
- 3:58Speaker 3: with you. If I see another stuff pepper, I'm throwing
- 4:01Speaker 3: it through a fucking window.
- 4:04Speaker 2: That was the last time we ever had stuff peppers.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Had she made you the meat loaf before you got married,
- 4:10Speaker 4: and it was terrible.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Would you be married? That's a great call. That's a
- 4:14Speaker 2: great call.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Doesn't compare to Mom's meat loaf, but I think meat
- 4:19Speaker 3: loaf gets a fair rap. Taylor now that I think
- 4:21Speaker 3: about it because I said, like this podcast.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Today, I think is like comfort food. It's like meat loaf.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Isn't that a good a good reputation comfort food?
- 4:29Speaker 5: Maybe closer to my demographic. I feel like meat loaf
- 4:32Speaker 5: has a negative connotation to it.
- 4:34Speaker 2: It's an old person's food. Young people don't eat meat loaf.
- 4:38Speaker 4: No, no, But if you go to Buddha's place, what's
- 4:42Speaker 4: the place that Maxis show, Yes, Burton Maxis. If you
- 4:46Speaker 4: get his meat loaf, his meat loaf is wrapped in bacon. Yes,
- 4:50Speaker 4: that's a different.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Kind of meat loaf. It is delightful. They dress it up.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Nowadays they get cutesy with the meat loaf. Yes, you know,
- 4:57Speaker 2: it used to be, Hey, here's a loaf, it's made
- 4:59Speaker 2: of meat. Enjoy it. And we were fine, we liked it.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Yes, Now you got to dress it up with bacon
- 5:06Speaker 3: and sometimes they put an egg right in the middle
- 5:09Speaker 3: of it.
- 5:09Speaker 2: You know they get they get cutesy with the meat loaf. Well,
- 5:12Speaker 2: that's the farmhouse burger. He does the burger, the bacon,
- 5:15Speaker 2: the egg. It's fantastic, a fried egg, but bacon.
- 5:19Speaker 4: That is the positive pr that every food needs. It's
- 5:21Speaker 4: just all it needs is bacon.
- 5:23Speaker 3: You know, you had bacon to anything and immediately becomes
- 5:26Speaker 3: a more attractive menu item.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Yes, bacon on its own, but don't serve me. You know,
- 5:31Speaker 2: these people there's such liars.
- 5:34Speaker 3: You think, oh, I don't like crispy bacon. Yea, who
- 5:38Speaker 3: the fuck doesn't like crispy bacon? Like they're people, They're like,
- 5:42Speaker 3: oh no, no, no, I want the bacon like I want
- 5:43Speaker 3: to be able to cut into it like it's a
- 5:45Speaker 3: piece of meat.
- 5:46Speaker 6: You know.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Even some of these places they have candied bacon or
- 5:52Speaker 3: like a bacon appetizer Billionaires bacon they have at some places.
- 5:56Speaker 3: It's a very thick cut of bacon and it's almost like,
- 6:02Speaker 3: you know, forking into a piece of meat.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Yes, I know what bacon is.
- 6:07Speaker 3: That bacon is a crispy, little shriveled up thing that
- 6:10Speaker 3: comes out of a plastic packet with Oscar Mayer on it. Like,
- 6:15Speaker 3: you know, like, don't call it like, I know what
- 6:17Speaker 3: bacon is, So don't give me this fancy foo foo
- 6:20Speaker 3: bacon at the bar. I think I'm gonna get a
- 6:23Speaker 3: plate with some strips of bacon. You know, I had
- 6:26Speaker 3: it the other night at Nyy Steakhouse. Right, and they've
- 6:31Speaker 3: got I went there with my wife and some before
- 6:32Speaker 3: we move back to Tampa.
- 6:33Speaker 2: They've got bacon and it's hanging. The display is beautiful.
- 6:39Speaker 2: It's hanging over corn bread, so the fat and the
- 6:43Speaker 2: grease drips off the bacon into the corn bread to
- 6:47Speaker 2: give it flavor.
- 6:48Speaker 3: And it's fantastic. But then you also have to eat
- 6:51Speaker 3: the bacon. It's a big, thick, honking you know, a
- 6:55Speaker 3: hunk of meat. It's like, hey, I just ordered a
- 6:57Speaker 3: steak right now, I'm gonna eat this bit thick cut
- 7:00Speaker 3: of meat before the steak.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I don't know, a little bit overkill here, right.
- 7:04Speaker 4: You need a fork and a steak knife just to
- 7:06Speaker 4: get through the bacon. It's like, give me a favor,
- 7:08Speaker 4: Give me the bacon on a paper towel, on a
- 7:11Speaker 4: paper plate that's all crunched up.
- 7:13Speaker 2: I wanted to crunch in my mouth like a springle.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Why I don't trust anyone, right who doesn't say, when
- 7:22Speaker 3: ordering bacon somewhere crispy please, yes? Because the default is
- 7:28Speaker 3: never crispy.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:29Speaker 2: The chef, the.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Cook, he just wants to get the bacon off the thing.
- 7:32Speaker 3: He wants to market down that they've done it. Anyone
- 7:35Speaker 3: who doesn't say.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Crispy, I don't trust you.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Yeah, saying Taylor would love the NYY Steakhouse. He's a
- 7:43Speaker 4: Yankee fan. You've been there. I've been there several times.
- 7:45Speaker 2: He would love. It's like a shrine to the New
- 7:47Speaker 2: York Yankees. Really is Yeah, third chain, aren't they?
- 7:52Speaker 3: I think they have one or two up in New York.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I believe this is the only one outside of like
- 7:57Speaker 3: the metropolitan New York area.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:00Speaker 4: But speaking of bacon, some of the best bacon I've
- 8:03Speaker 4: ever had and hockey. You've been there, and I think
- 8:05Speaker 4: you were there with you know what you're gonna say,
- 8:07Speaker 4: Prime one twelve. Yep, Taylor. Normally, you go to a restaurant,
- 8:13Speaker 4: you're waiting for your table. You go up to the bar,
- 8:15Speaker 4: you get a couple of drinks. There's no food. Maybe
- 8:17Speaker 4: there's a bowl of peanuts. Okay, you go to the
- 8:20Speaker 4: bar waiting for your table. At Prime one twelve, what
- 8:22Speaker 4: they served there for free is bacon. It's a bacon
- 8:28Speaker 4: in a cup.
- 8:29Speaker 2: So genius because bacon salty makes you thirsty.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Yes, yes, but that like legendary man, and I would never,
- 8:37Speaker 3: by the way, complain about bacon that's free.
- 8:40Speaker 2: But you ever go, like, I don't know, you go
- 8:42Speaker 2: to a country.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Club when you're in Boca, you go to Woodfield country Club,
- 8:46Speaker 3: or you go on a cruise or whatever, and they
- 8:50Speaker 3: got the big cafeteria style tub of bacon. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:55Speaker 3: you really got to It's like panning for gold. You
- 8:58Speaker 3: got to throw it through it because it's gonna be
- 9:00Speaker 3: eighty percent, you know, wavy.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Un Yeah, just like gobs a fat.
- 9:09Speaker 3: And I look at these people who just take, you know,
- 9:12Speaker 3: a tongue full like they're not even like looking through it.
- 9:15Speaker 3: They just take a tongue for it, right, you just
- 9:17Speaker 3: put a tongue full of fat on your plate, Like,
- 9:20Speaker 3: what the fuck is wrong with you? It's the most
- 9:23Speaker 3: disgusting thing I've ever seen. I'm going through it like
- 9:26Speaker 3: I'm searching. I'm like an archaeologist in there, searching for
- 9:30Speaker 3: the right bone to finish off the t rex that
- 9:34Speaker 3: I've been assembling for twenty seven years. Like I'm looking
- 9:37Speaker 3: for the one piece of bacon that accidentally got caught
- 9:41Speaker 3: under another piece and got cooked twice by the chef
- 9:44Speaker 3: that's just trying to get out seventeen pounds.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Yeah, bacon, don't select your bacon all willy nilly. You
- 9:50Speaker 4: gotta like sift the I'm totally with you. You gotta
- 9:52Speaker 4: sift through the goal.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Imagine.
- 9:54Speaker 4: It was just like, you know, you're going to a
- 9:56Speaker 4: buffet and in one of the displays it was just
- 9:59Speaker 4: a bunch of money and there's dollar bills, five dollar bills,
- 10:02Speaker 4: ten dollar bills, fifty dollars bills, one hundred dollar bills.
- 10:06Speaker 4: I mean, you're just gonna take what's on top the
- 10:08Speaker 4: dollar bills for the hundreds.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, I just grab money because I wanted money.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Yeah, well, how about you want the good money? Yeah? Like,
- 10:19Speaker 2: what are we doing here? I'm gonna sit there, I mean,
- 10:24Speaker 2: just a glob of fat. Who the fuck eats this?
- 10:28Speaker 1: Right?
- 10:29Speaker 2: I know we have to get to the show.
- 10:31Speaker 4: But Taylor, I think is aware at this point that
- 10:33Speaker 4: you and I could do a three hour show on
- 10:35Speaker 4: Just Bake It.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Well, I pretty much do that on my radio show.
- 10:38Speaker 3: If you listen, it's one oh four point three FM
- 10:41Speaker 3: two till six in the afternoon, and every day. The
- 10:43Speaker 3: biggest complaint I get on the text line twenty years
- 10:47Speaker 3: I've been doing radio. The biggest complaint I get ten
- 10:50Speaker 3: years afternoon drive on WQAM the single biggest most often
- 10:58Speaker 3: texted complaint. I get all you do is talk about food, right, well, yes,
- 11:03Speaker 3: get the sports, right.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, get the sports.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Here's a realize the show you want to do is
- 11:11Speaker 4: a food show.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I mean, I'm doing the show I want to do,
- 11:13Speaker 3: and when they're tired of me doing it, they'll tell
- 11:15Speaker 3: me to stop.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I love the guy.
- 11:19Speaker 3: They'll be like a guy who text in will be like, hey,
- 11:21Speaker 3: the show could be better, or you'd do yourself such
- 11:24Speaker 3: a favor if you would talk more sports.
- 11:27Speaker 2: And I go, I don't know. I think it's kind
- 11:28Speaker 2: of working. Yeah, ten years.
- 11:31Speaker 3: I think I'm the longest running afternoon host on WQAM since,
- 11:35Speaker 3: like maybe ever.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Whatever I'm doing is working.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:40Speaker 4: I was gonna say Joe Rose, but we plucked him
- 11:42Speaker 4: away at seven ninety for a couple of years, and
- 11:44Speaker 4: so you're right.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I think hawk the.
- 11:46Speaker 5: Sports analysis that I go to Hawkman Crowder in Saloni
- 11:50Speaker 5: for is when you say, enter Sandman is blank years
- 11:54Speaker 5: old today? Do you know who is famous for this song?
- 11:57Speaker 5: And Crowder's response is the key closer.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Riviata Marina, riviata marino is what he suggested yesterday when
- 12:05Speaker 3: we played enter Sandman. Yes, and then of course I
- 12:09Speaker 3: told him, Oh, you nailed it again, Yata Marina. He
- 12:14Speaker 3: once famously referred to Roberto Lawogo as Loberto Rungo.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Loberto Rungo. It happens, Yeah, it happened. Hey's the crazy one,
- 12:27Speaker 2: or are we?
- 12:28Speaker 1: So?
- 12:28Speaker 3: Here's a direct message on Instagram from a listener of
- 12:32Speaker 3: the with Stugotts and Hawkman podcast. Hey Man, love the
- 12:35Speaker 3: show with Stugotts and listen to you guys after the
- 12:38Speaker 3: original Lebron decision. Stuff from the old days always makes
- 12:41Speaker 3: me smile. I'd love to hear more Hackman, which we
- 12:44Speaker 3: will get to.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Please. Ask Stu if he still bets the over in
- 12:48Speaker 2: the Pro Bowl. I do.
- 12:51Speaker 4: I don't see any sense in betting unders in general,
- 12:53Speaker 4: so if I take a total, I'm always going over.
- 12:57Speaker 4: I like to root for good things to happen. I
- 12:59Speaker 4: don't like to root for things to not happen. And
- 13:02Speaker 4: if you take it under, what you're rooting for is
- 13:04Speaker 4: for no one to score. So I just I rarely
- 13:07Speaker 4: do take the totals. I do it for the Pro
- 13:09Speaker 4: Bowl every year. It's a tradition unlike any other. But
- 13:12Speaker 4: I like taking overs. Because I like rooting for points.
- 13:14Speaker 4: You know, Hall of Fame game is next week. We
- 13:16Speaker 4: have NFL football on our TV's next week. I don't
- 13:20Speaker 4: know if I call the Hall of Fame game NFL football,
- 13:22Speaker 4: but it's football.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Nonetheless, I do the same thing every year. Oh it's back.
- 13:25Speaker 2: I'm so excited. I'm going to sit down in front
- 13:27Speaker 2: of the TV.
- 13:28Speaker 3: I watched one series and I go, who the fuck
- 13:30Speaker 3: are these people who's.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Playing in that game?
- 13:33Speaker 5: Do we know it's the Cardinal Rolina Cardinals and Carolina
- 13:38Speaker 5: because of Luke Keikley and Fitzgerald And.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Someone pointed out for US Hurricanes fans, we'll probably see
- 13:43Speaker 3: a decent amount of Carson Wentz, Carson Beck.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Carson back. Excuse yes, why would we see Carson Wentz?
- 13:53Speaker 4: Well, no, I was just I was thinking, wait, you're
- 13:55Speaker 4: right right, Carson Wentz go to Miami.
- 13:57Speaker 3: That necessitated a pause. That was a good call, but
- 14:00Speaker 3: it was Carson begnan. We're going to see a lot.
- 14:05Speaker 3: I appreciate you not just agreeing with me, actually listening
- 14:09Speaker 3: to what I had said, and I'm.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Starting, wait a second, it's not adding up.
- 14:12Speaker 4: One of the things that's changed about me since we
- 14:14Speaker 4: last did radio is I have started to listen.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Somebody dms me.
- 14:21Speaker 3: I thought this was funny because I don't really listen
- 14:23Speaker 3: to Dan's show now, I'll be honest, But he says, Hi, Mark,
- 14:25Speaker 3: first time, longtime love the Stugats and Hawkman Pod. I
- 14:29Speaker 3: listen to a lot of old shows and the clips
- 14:32Speaker 3: you guys play. What sticks out is how loose and
- 14:35Speaker 3: relaxed Dan is.
- 14:37Speaker 2: He seems so uptight.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Now that's probably a fair observation from the clips that
- 14:43Speaker 3: I see on social media. Obviously he's got more pressure
- 14:47Speaker 3: now he's running a multimillion dollar company.
- 14:50Speaker 2: He's older.
- 14:51Speaker 3: We all get a little more cantankerous as we get older.
- 14:54Speaker 3: But when I do go back and listen these old clips,
- 14:58Speaker 3: he is so loose.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Where us cutting it up, We're laughing half the time.
- 15:03Speaker 4: One of the things that made Dan so good at
- 15:06Speaker 4: doing this, and one of the reasons I wanted him
- 15:08Speaker 4: to do this, is he was so relaxed. His style
- 15:12Speaker 4: was different. It was so conversational. He wasn't impacted by
- 15:16Speaker 4: texters and listeners telling us what we should be talking
- 15:20Speaker 4: about when we need to talk about it. He would
- 15:22Speaker 4: come out of segments in a way that most radio hosts.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Most radio hosts, as you know, Hawk, are very mechanical, right,
- 15:29Speaker 4: They're going to do the same thing every single segment,
- 15:31Speaker 4: and he would start his very conversational But you're right,
- 15:35Speaker 4: he's gotten more stressed out. He's not nearly as relaxed
- 15:38Speaker 4: as he used to be. And I think that's just
- 15:40Speaker 4: directly a product of hey, because before he was just.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Worried about our three hours or hour four hours.
- 15:46Speaker 4: Now he's worried about an entire business and an industry
- 15:49Speaker 4: that is collapsing at times.
- 15:51Speaker 2: You know, Sony DMS Hawk loved the podcast.
- 15:54Speaker 3: I can't thank you guys enough for bringing back the
- 15:57Speaker 3: glory days of the show. Cally Endo has been mentioned
- 16:00Speaker 3: a lot lately, and his segments were always a hit.
- 16:02Speaker 3: There is one in particular I've been searching for on
- 16:05Speaker 3: the Internet for years and have been unable to find it.
- 16:07Speaker 3: It was sometime between twenty ten twenty twelve Calliendo did
- 16:11Speaker 3: an impression of either Jim Rome or Dennis Miller and
- 16:15Speaker 3: Arnold Schwarzenegger ordering a pizza. I don't remember the details,
- 16:19Speaker 3: but I do remember it being some of the hardest
- 16:21Speaker 3: I've ever laughed in my life. I'd love to be
- 16:24Speaker 3: able to hear it again. I am searching for it
- 16:27Speaker 3: for you, sir. I have so many Frank Callendo files
- 16:30Speaker 3: that it's hard for me to narrow it down from
- 16:33Speaker 3: that description. So I am searching actively the Caliendo files
- 16:37Speaker 3: to see stuff that I can play on this podcast.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Anyway, what I.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Recall is that we had a number of Frank's characters
- 16:44Speaker 4: go through or drive through that one.
- 16:46Speaker 2: The McDonald's drive through.
- 16:47Speaker 3: I have that one's marked like that one's super easy.
- 16:50Speaker 3: This one ordering the pizza, I just don't. I don't
- 16:54Speaker 3: have that marked anywhere ese. I'm looking for it. Calliendo.
- 16:56Speaker 2: By the way, I've mentioned this on the previous pod.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Calliendo is coming to West Pond Beach The Palm Beach
- 17:01Speaker 3: Improv October ninth and tenth, and you can get tickets
- 17:05Speaker 3: at Frank on Stage dot com.
- 17:08Speaker 2: It will sell out.
- 17:09Speaker 3: He's got three shows in West Palm Frank on Stage
- 17:12Speaker 3: dot Com.
- 17:12Speaker 2: He came on my radio show last week.
- 17:15Speaker 3: We had all his characters wayh in on where Lebron
- 17:18Speaker 3: was gonna end up and it'd be brilliant as always.
- 17:21Speaker 3: But he's gonna be in West Palm and the dates
- 17:23Speaker 3: that he's in West Palm it's a bye week for
- 17:26Speaker 3: the Miami Hurricanes because there's two shows on a Saturday.
- 17:28Speaker 3: And you might say, oh, I don't want to buy
- 17:30Speaker 3: concert tickets for Caliendo because I don't know if the
- 17:32Speaker 3: Knes are gonna play in the afternoon or at night.
- 17:35Speaker 3: They don't even play that weekend, so feel free to
- 17:37Speaker 3: purchase them.
- 17:38Speaker 2: I'm certain you'll see me at one of the shows.
- 17:40Speaker 3: I don't know if it be Friday or Saturday, but
- 17:43Speaker 3: October ninth and tenth West Palm Beach. Just go to
- 17:46Speaker 3: Frank on stage dot com.
- 17:48Speaker 4: That's a heavy play by Callienda doing it on a
- 17:51Speaker 4: Canes bye week. I meany knows what he's doing. Yes,
- 17:54Speaker 4: he's going to be in both our studios. I know
- 17:56Speaker 4: he's coming into our studio for a little bit. I'm
- 17:58Speaker 4: certain he'll come into yours studio. We're going to have
- 18:01Speaker 4: him read the speech with all the different characters from
- 18:04Speaker 4: Field of Dreams Baseball.
- 18:06Speaker 2: It's a great move. That's my best impersonation Baseball. You
- 18:13Speaker 2: and Mikey, Hey, yeah, I'm James Earl Jones.
- 18:16Speaker 3: You don't even know who If I'm James Earl Jones
- 18:18Speaker 3: or me, you don't know that's literally my best impersonation.
- 18:21Speaker 5: If I could just push back, I think Joe Girardi
- 18:23Speaker 5: is your best impersonation.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Hey, hey, I'm Joe Girardi. Hey hey, look at me.
- 18:27Speaker 3: I'm Joe Girardi. It is a good one.
- 18:31Speaker 2: It's terrible. Why are you encouraging him impression? It's a
- 18:41Speaker 2: good impression. That's a couple couple of doozies right there.
- 18:44Speaker 4: But when you say baseball, you don't need to tell
- 18:46Speaker 4: me who you're impersonating when you two.
- 18:48Speaker 2: But Joe Girardi, he's not the need to tell us
- 18:51Speaker 2: who you are.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Yeah, he doesn't have a very recognizable voice, and man,
- 18:55Speaker 3: he walks around saying that, Hey, hey, it's me Joe Girardi.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Hey hey, I'm Joe Girardi. Here's what I have for
- 19:02Speaker 3: you today. I have I think it was the last
- 19:05Speaker 3: episode we played a big open, the AMA Violent Sneezer
- 19:10Speaker 3: Big Open. By the way, did get one more DM.
- 19:13Speaker 3: I was gonna read her DM. I think her name
- 19:15Speaker 3: was Katie.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Katie.
- 19:17Speaker 3: She says, I'd love to submit my vote for a
- 19:20Speaker 3: Violent Sneezer.
- 19:21Speaker 2: T shirt to buy Katie.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Your vote is submitted, we may add the AMA Violent
- 19:27Speaker 3: Sneezer shirts back to the store.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Your son should be up in about five hours. You
- 19:31Speaker 2: can tell them. Rent is due at the beginning of
- 19:38Speaker 2: the month. He loves me again. So we played a
- 19:45Speaker 2: big open.
- 19:47Speaker 3: I have a file of two hundred or three hundred
- 19:51Speaker 3: big opens, and they're all a snapshot in time for
- 19:54Speaker 3: Levatard Show listeners. They really because I would compile over
- 19:59Speaker 3: the course of two three weeks things that we were
- 20:02Speaker 3: hung up on, sounds that we were hung up on,
- 20:05Speaker 3: and then I would create a big open and I'd
- 20:06Speaker 3: unveil it.
- 20:07Speaker 2: So it's kind of a snapshot in time.
- 20:09Speaker 3: So I have a few I wanted to play for
- 20:10Speaker 3: you today and the listeners here because they're.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Just fun to listen to.
- 20:14Speaker 3: How we would open the show at various times over
- 20:18Speaker 3: the eight nine years that I was there, and however
- 20:21Speaker 3: long it's been going now.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Yes, he was very meticulous about this stuff. He cared
- 20:25Speaker 4: about it deeply. Yes, I know you were. He would
- 20:28Speaker 4: make sure that me and Dan were in our seats, Yeah,
- 20:31Speaker 4: so we could hear and we wanted to be in
- 20:33Speaker 4: our seats.
- 20:34Speaker 2: But more importantly for the audience.
- 20:36Speaker 4: He did it so often that the audience and I
- 20:38Speaker 4: think you knew this right when you were doing it. Man,
- 20:41Speaker 4: if I keep doing these and churning these out, the
- 20:43Speaker 4: audience is going to make sure they're there at three
- 20:45Speaker 4: o'clock to hear if there's.
- 20:46Speaker 1: A new opening.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Like how many radio shows would have people almost as
- 20:52Speaker 3: if they were, you know, watching Seinfeld or sopranos, like, hey,
- 20:57Speaker 3: I have to get there at the beginning. Remember there
- 21:00Speaker 3: was no time shifting back then. There wasn't you know
- 21:02Speaker 3: all the apps that allowed you to go back.
- 21:04Speaker 2: And so here it is.
- 21:06Speaker 3: I'm gonna play some for you here randomly because you'll
- 21:08Speaker 3: get a kick out of them all.
- 21:09Speaker 2: This one is called baby Carrots.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Attention. This is they're Dan Levitta Show.
- 21:16Speaker 7: The number one leading man in the movies over the
- 21:20Speaker 7: past five years. Stu gott Is seth rogen Attention.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Huh Dan Levitt's ard pop that couch pop pop that
- 21:32Speaker 1: coach Stu gotts.
- 21:34Speaker 7: Oh stop it, this is.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Real, beast.
- 21:38Speaker 8: I want to make love to his voice.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Attention.
- 21:41Speaker 7: I'm really disturbed by what's happening with Hakman.
- 21:43Speaker 9: He keeps bringing in a zip lock packet full of
- 21:46Speaker 9: carrots to work.
- 21:47Speaker 7: Attention, and they're not even carrots. Baby cats, baby carrots.
- 21:52Speaker 8: Delicious.
- 21:53Speaker 7: Ninety five percent of our audience is saying female there.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Right, yeah, a rabbit, but the baby carrots are delicious sweet.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Have you tried the baby carrot?
- 22:02Speaker 8: Very sweet?
- 22:02Speaker 2: Like sweeter? Yeah? Weirdy?
- 22:06Speaker 1: Hey is d way?
- 22:07Speaker 8: He listens to The dan Levatar Show with you got so,
- 22:10Speaker 8: you got Stu Gotts?
- 22:12Speaker 1: Sue Gotts? You got Stu Gotts?
- 22:13Speaker 2: All right?
- 22:15Speaker 1: Hey is d Way? He listens to the Dan Levatar
- 22:17Speaker 1: Show with.
- 22:17Speaker 9: Stu Gods, how would you like Lincoln Financial to investigate
- 22:20Speaker 9: whether you're cheating on your wife?
- 22:22Speaker 4: If you want to investigate something, investigate the fact that
- 22:25Speaker 4: I haven't had sex.
- 22:25Speaker 2: With her in weeks.
- 22:27Speaker 9: The cheese and now to kick off the festivities, Brett
- 22:31Speaker 9: Michael singing his fame song your Mama, don't dance it?
- 22:37Speaker 7: Whoops, my dogue, bring me a cigarette, a sandwich. I
- 22:41Speaker 7: don't even.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Spoke, call me hommie.
- 22:44Speaker 7: You know he likes to move it, move it.
- 22:46Speaker 10: Dwayne Shint says, I am telling you right now he
- 22:49Speaker 10: is the next great American star.
- 22:52Speaker 2: He's an ass.
- 22:53Speaker 11: Here's Stan Levitad and studiots since Sports Star seven ninety.
- 22:58Speaker 2: The tickies who cats are? It's like a nice little
- 23:01Speaker 2: snack they're crunchy sweet.
- 23:06Speaker 3: I would always do a little echoe thing a trailer, yes,
- 23:10Speaker 3: and a lot of times it would be a jump
- 23:11Speaker 3: off point for you guys. I would try to use something,
- 23:13Speaker 3: there'll be a jump off point. I do remember there
- 23:16Speaker 3: was a one or two week phase where I kept
- 23:18Speaker 3: bringing in baby carrots. Laurie would beg me a lunch
- 23:20Speaker 3: and I would eat my baby carrots, and Dan thought
- 23:23Speaker 3: it was the craziest thing.
- 23:24Speaker 4: So the formula for the show was just, you know,
- 23:28Speaker 4: just try to agree with anyone but Dan when they're
- 23:31Speaker 4: saying something.
- 23:33Speaker 2: And I got to be honest.
- 23:34Speaker 4: I supported you on baby carrots without ever having a
- 23:37Speaker 4: baby carrot.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Very apparent. That was very apparent. We would expect nothing less. Yeah,
- 23:43Speaker 3: here's the next one. This is called fun fun, fun.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Attention. This is they're Dan Leviata show.
- 23:52Speaker 7: Let's talk some numbers.
- 23:53Speaker 6: Dan, Let we are such pansies with Stu Gatts and Hawkman.
- 24:01Speaker 8: I could see Sam Mitchell selling me a cell phone.
- 24:05Speaker 7: How about this one? Lou Holtz is a train conductor. Yeah,
- 24:13Speaker 7: Jerry Sloan district attorney.
- 24:16Speaker 2: How about John Clayton as a pawn shop owner?
- 24:21Speaker 12: Why James Obert, the Sport's comic ladies and gentlemen.
- 24:28Speaker 10: Those poor Seattle Mariners, I mean they've lost so many
- 24:31Speaker 10: in a row they're thinking about changing their name to
- 24:34Speaker 10: w QAM.
- 24:39Speaker 7: You're a hack yep, leave my brain alone. I believe
- 24:43Speaker 7: you're an idiot.
- 24:44Speaker 8: Damn wa booma boom boom boom.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Peyton Hill is Turkey lag.
- 24:49Speaker 10: Party and party and yeah, party and party and yeah.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Fun fun, fun, fun fun.
- 24:55Speaker 8: Don't you think conventional wisdom?
- 24:57Speaker 10: This is a little off the board here, but is
- 24:59Speaker 10: there really something wrong with marrying a cousin?
- 25:01Speaker 1: Rick?
- 25:02Speaker 7: You're on seven ninety.
- 25:03Speaker 5: Mike Dicka golf course ranger.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Give it to me again, Give it to me again,
- 25:13Speaker 3: dip it to me again.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Increase energy. I'm a mother bleeping Navy seal today.
- 25:22Speaker 7: Stu Gott puffing out my chest, sniper me.
- 25:26Speaker 6: This is then ten Lemoncharge Show with Stu gottsend Hawkmann.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Tic whoa fun fun, fun, fun fun.
- 25:36Speaker 3: It is just the great, just the quick hitters back
- 25:41Speaker 3: and forth, and it's like you get this snapshot like.
- 25:44Speaker 2: If you didn't listen to the show during this era,
- 25:47Speaker 2: like it was fun. It was non stop fun. And
- 25:50Speaker 2: the big opens are essentially us.
- 25:53Speaker 3: We're all just launching up topics and seeing what might hit,
- 25:57Speaker 3: what might have legs.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Yes, and so Repper presentative of the characters that we
- 26:02Speaker 4: that of who we are really. I was laughing out
- 26:05Speaker 4: loud at you talking about is it's so bad to
- 26:08Speaker 4: marry your cousin?
- 26:10Speaker 2: Great topic?
- 26:12Speaker 4: It is a great topic, and we went that was
- 26:14Speaker 4: my point Hawk and also lou Holt Spring Conductor like
- 26:18Speaker 4: it was illuminating to me and you were like, whoa, yeah,
- 26:21Speaker 4: we can see that doctor within that open. There's like
- 26:23Speaker 4: fifteen topic for me and Dan, the playoff of ye.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Know, here's the next one. This one is called Monique.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Attention. This is the Dan Lebata Show.
- 26:35Speaker 7: Did anyone know out there that Monique could act? Because
- 26:39Speaker 7: she's a comedian and bad terrible terrible.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Comedies Attention, Dan Levatard.
- 26:45Speaker 7: Terrible comedy.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Stuve Gotts, which I knew who this Monique was.
- 26:50Speaker 7: Monique is Harry changes the story a little dune it
- 26:54Speaker 7: this is real, beast, gotta shave it.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Up, yep, attention.
- 26:59Speaker 10: Stu gott Abby says to you, you can sleep with.
- 27:02Speaker 8: Whoever you want, but I am no longer shaving.
- 27:07Speaker 2: I think I'm in on that. Really, whoa wait a second, really, Yeah.
- 27:13Speaker 7: This is what you guys are saying. You guys have
- 27:15Speaker 7: mothers of your children that you have devoted both of
- 27:19Speaker 7: you about a decade too of love to build a
- 27:22Speaker 7: family and to build a life. And what both of
- 27:25Speaker 7: you are saying is everything you've ever built with these
- 27:29Speaker 7: two people, the mothers of your children would be erased
- 27:33Speaker 7: by her not shaving. That's what you're saying.
- 27:37Speaker 9: And I'm sort of flabbergasted by the superficiality in that.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Well, I think you're going pretty deep here.
- 27:41Speaker 10: I mean the ten years, the thirteen years that I've
- 27:44Speaker 10: put in with my wife and raising a family. It
- 27:47Speaker 10: is predicated, predicated on smooth legs and a landing strip.
- 27:59Speaker 11: Here's stand let charming stupid. Since let's talk seven ninety sick.
- 28:11Speaker 2: I remember that. I remember that it became a talking
- 28:14Speaker 2: point on the show for a while. I used to
- 28:16Speaker 2: use that as a bit. This was the first time.
- 28:19Speaker 3: And my wife still tells this story where she got
- 28:22Speaker 3: a phone call from one of her friends who was
- 28:25Speaker 3: listening to the show and she's like, do you know
- 28:28Speaker 3: what your husband is saying on the air right now?
- 28:31Speaker 3: And my wife, God bless her, said, whatever you hear
- 28:34Speaker 3: on that show, believe about four percent of it, right,
- 28:38Speaker 3: because he's just trying to get a rise out of everyone.
- 28:41Speaker 3: He will say anything about anyone. And I always tell
- 28:45Speaker 3: people I was playing a character on the show. I
- 28:48Speaker 3: play a character on the radio today. The character's called
- 28:50Speaker 3: Mark Hauckman. He is very similar to me, much like
- 28:54Speaker 3: Jerry Seinfeld plays Jerry Seinfeld on The Seinfeld Show. But
- 28:57Speaker 3: it is also a character designed for entertainment. Yes, so
- 29:02Speaker 3: when I would say that about my wife, wasn't necessarily true.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Maybe it was, but it wasn't necessarily true. You don't know.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Yes, what we do on the radio is exaggerated versions
- 29:14Speaker 4: of ourselves. And then when you're speaking for three and
- 29:16Speaker 4: four hours a day occasionally and you have to fill time,
- 29:19Speaker 4: and Dan might be distracted by Lord knows what, you
- 29:22Speaker 4: got to say something, and sometimes that comes out of
- 29:24Speaker 4: your mouth.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, what's the entertainment in, Oh, she's my wife,
- 29:28Speaker 3: I love her. If she's got a thick bush or not,
- 29:31Speaker 3: that's not entertaining.
- 29:34Speaker 2: In or is it true this one?
- 29:38Speaker 1: Or is it.
- 29:39Speaker 2: About that?
- 29:40Speaker 5: Right?
- 29:41Speaker 1: This one.
- 29:43Speaker 6: I am.
- 29:43Speaker 2: This one is called s terrific, right.
- 29:50Speaker 1: This is the Dan Levitta Show.
- 29:52Speaker 2: They don't like us. Stu got okay, well to bad
- 29:56Speaker 2: Dan lebatz Art.
- 29:57Speaker 7: I'm leaking spinal fluid attention.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Stu gots big chop up?
- 30:05Speaker 1: Why do you do that? This his nick name?
- 30:07Speaker 2: But why a lot of big shots, including that one
- 30:10Speaker 2: that you remember.
- 30:11Speaker 4: This is real base big shot oop attention assassin before
- 30:17Speaker 4: the assassin.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Why do you do that? Like tension?
- 30:24Speaker 9: But what are you doing there? Explain to me what
- 30:26Speaker 9: you're doing there? Like you are you showing everyone that
- 30:29Speaker 9: you know?
- 30:29Speaker 7: His nickname is that? Are you showing off?
- 30:31Speaker 2: What are you? What are you doing there? Lending something
- 30:34Speaker 2: to the conversation?
- 30:35Speaker 9: But you're not, though, is my point, which is why
- 30:37Speaker 9: I'm objecting to it. You're lending absolutely nothing to the
- 30:40Speaker 9: conversation there. I feel like I am, but you're not,
- 30:43Speaker 9: And I keep from me to disagree.
- 30:44Speaker 2: I can't.
- 30:48Speaker 10: You ever feel bad for the lobsters in the little
- 30:52Speaker 10: tank in publics?
- 30:53Speaker 1: Absolutely?
- 30:54Speaker 8: Thanks Dots.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Well wait a minute, what are you doing there? Absolutely?
- 31:00Speaker 2: What are you doing there? I didn't listen.
- 31:02Speaker 7: You weren't listening to what what Hawk just said? The
- 31:06Speaker 7: question that Hawk just asked you. It came very slowly.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Bear trapped something about a lobster.
- 31:10Speaker 9: Do you ever feel bad for the lobster in the
- 31:12Speaker 9: tank at a publix or at a restaurant?
- 31:15Speaker 1: Never?
- 31:15Speaker 2: Never, Ever, that was the question.
- 31:18Speaker 7: We will get to what you would do if your
- 31:21Speaker 7: wife was attacked by a bison.
- 31:22Speaker 2: In a moment. We love collisions. I'm an a hole
- 31:26Speaker 2: edgy shuck hucks.
- 31:28Speaker 7: I'm gonna say it on my tombstone. The hit this
- 31:31Speaker 7: thing on AM radio.
- 31:33Speaker 11: Oo is Stan Lemotot and Studios send Sport's Talk seven
- 31:39Speaker 11: ninety that Taise knock Knock, who's there?
- 31:43Speaker 1: Sports had a lot?
- 31:50Speaker 2: Well, you know it's funny you say that had a lot.
- 31:52Speaker 2: So I'm listening to these the other day getting ready
- 31:54Speaker 2: for the podcast, and I'm laughing. I'm laughing. The boy
- 31:57Speaker 2: I've got tears coming out of where. He says to me.
- 32:00Speaker 3: She's like, are you funny? And I'm like, we were her.
- 32:04Speaker 3: We put on the best fucking radio show. Like I
- 32:08Speaker 3: go back and listen to stuff, I'm like, holy shit,
- 32:10Speaker 3: no wonders. No one wanted to miss an hour of it,
- 32:13Speaker 3: like it was just the worst part was the damn
- 32:17Speaker 3: guests that Dan wanted to bring on and Gladwell, we're
- 32:22Speaker 3: laughing about landing strips and.
- 32:24Speaker 2: All of a sudden he wants to talk with Malcolm
- 32:26Speaker 2: Gladwell put.
- 32:27Speaker 4: The whole breaks on every just ruin the whole mood
- 32:30Speaker 4: and vibe of the entire show.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Hey, we get it, you know, Gladwell, you can get
- 32:35Speaker 2: him on the show.
- 32:36Speaker 4: I mean, but we're here too enough, Gladwell, that was
- 32:42Speaker 4: the guest that would always drive me crazy.
- 32:44Speaker 3: Now, there were certain guests who he loved to have on.
- 32:47Speaker 3: I mean, at that time he thought Jason Whitlock was
- 32:51Speaker 3: one of the great thinkers of our time.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Yes, I mean, if you know the story arc of Jason.
- 32:57Speaker 3: Whitlock, it's maddening to think that there was a two
- 33:02Speaker 3: or three year period where Dan believed him to be
- 33:05Speaker 3: one of the great thinkers of our time.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:08Speaker 2: It was on the show all the time, It was
- 33:09Speaker 2: in our studio all the time.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:12Speaker 4: But you know, to Dan's credit, there were always some
- 33:15Speaker 4: you know, he had He thinks a little bit differently
- 33:17Speaker 4: than we do. And so glad Wells would find their
- 33:21Speaker 4: way onto the show. But you know who else would
- 33:24Speaker 4: find their way onto the show because he wanted to
- 33:25Speaker 4: talk to him would be like Dan rather and we
- 33:27Speaker 4: would love him, and Dan Radit was only coming on
- 33:29Speaker 4: for Dan Levator.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Yes, you know, like the Dan Rather interviews were great,
- 33:33Speaker 2: the Mitch albums. Yeah you know, like yeah, yeah yeah.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Dan would get all sensitive when you and I made
- 33:39Speaker 2: fun of his ears. I mean big ears.
- 33:47Speaker 4: It's a wonderful human being. At a great journalist and
- 33:50Speaker 4: a fantastic writer.
- 33:51Speaker 2: He has big ears. I mean he's a he's a
- 33:53Speaker 2: man who observes. He's got to know. There's no way
- 33:58Speaker 2: he looks in the mirror and says, my ears are normal.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Here's a big open called pimp.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Attention.
- 34:08Speaker 6: This is the Dan levettarg show, hammering it with Stu
- 34:12Speaker 6: gottson Hawkman.
- 34:13Speaker 2: I have amazing thighs.
- 34:15Speaker 8: I run Miami.
- 34:16Speaker 13: Pimp pimpin the sammer Sammer. Friend of the show, the
- 34:24Speaker 13: sammer Sammer.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Well, now we're having fun. The sammer hammer.
- 34:29Speaker 1: This is the real base.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, big pimpin hammer, the shammer. Why am I shouting?
- 34:45Speaker 1: Basis pumping?
- 34:46Speaker 7: Are the Miami heating trouble?
- 34:47Speaker 11: No?
- 34:48Speaker 1: Do you think.
- 34:49Speaker 7: Boston's in trouble.
- 34:51Speaker 2: I think they're in more trouble than the heat.
- 34:53Speaker 7: Well that's interesting, what are you doing there?
- 34:55Speaker 2: Well? I think the I think the heat are better, But.
- 34:58Speaker 7: What are you doing there?
- 34:59Speaker 14: I have no idea what I'm doing there, Big Pippin
- 35:02Speaker 14: tom Brady, I got you, you through an interception in
- 35:06Speaker 14: a playoff game, and then we got the Tom Brady
- 35:09Speaker 14: angry vase.
- 35:10Speaker 1: We got you.
- 35:11Speaker 14: We know you're not happy you through an interception, but
- 35:14Speaker 14: keep the histrionics to yourself, Okay.
- 35:18Speaker 2: The sammer.
- 35:28Speaker 6: Michael, this is the Jan Letarge Show with Stuve gottsond
- 35:36Speaker 6: Hawkman on seven ninety tea.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Time.
- 35:43Speaker 3: I went through a phase where at the end there
- 35:46Speaker 3: you hear that little electronic boying. I had gone through
- 35:50Speaker 3: a phase on the show where I maintained that if
- 35:53Speaker 3: you put that in anywhere, it's always entertaining and it'll
- 35:56Speaker 3: always bring a smile to someone's face. You can be
- 35:58Speaker 3: talking about a star who just passed away and if
- 36:01Speaker 3: you just insert mo yay, you can't help but laugh
- 36:06Speaker 3: and smile.
- 36:07Speaker 2: There are lessons that we learned here, Taylor. There a
- 36:10Speaker 2: great device and moya ya yaa, Like that show was
- 36:14Speaker 2: so much fun. Like I'm listening to it and I'm like,
- 36:17Speaker 2: oh my god, did we have fun now again?
- 36:19Speaker 3: There was stuff going on behind the scenes where I'm
- 36:21Speaker 3: getting screamed at for bumping Dan off for Randy Fund.
- 36:25Speaker 2: But the show itself was fun. The doing of the
- 36:29Speaker 2: show is fun. It's why we have so much fun.
- 36:31Speaker 4: How could I know how hard it is to create
- 36:34Speaker 4: a good radio show and how hard it is to
- 36:36Speaker 4: do radio in general.
- 36:38Speaker 2: The chemistry between the three of us.
- 36:41Speaker 4: Was just it was so amazing when we you know,
- 36:45Speaker 4: you've gone off and you've done your own thing, and
- 36:47Speaker 4: I'm now doing my own thing. But we both know
- 36:49Speaker 4: deep down inside that it's gonna be hard press for
- 36:53Speaker 4: us to ever have a better run than the three
- 36:54Speaker 4: of us had in the early stages of that show.
- 36:57Speaker 3: The early stages of that show will never be replicated
- 37:01Speaker 3: in South Florida radio for sure, and probably never local
- 37:04Speaker 3: radio anywhere in the country. That's how that's how magical.
- 37:08Speaker 3: There was like a three or four year period. Here's
- 37:10Speaker 3: another big open before I get to the finale. One
- 37:13Speaker 3: more big open, various.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Attention. This is the Dan Levitta Show.
- 37:20Speaker 7: Hey buddy, you want to be friends?
- 37:23Speaker 1: Dan Levatz? Art attention.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Stu gots bored.
- 37:33Speaker 7: Stucott's Stucott.
- 37:36Speaker 2: My favorite cookie is the Nutter butter.
- 37:39Speaker 1: This is real.
- 37:40Speaker 7: Base is a bleephole. Dir I'm sorry what was that
- 37:46Speaker 7: that was dir How do you spell that tension.
- 37:52Speaker 2: With an arts? Just one R? Well like three rs
- 37:56Speaker 2: dragging out basis pumping. It's just what I do here,
- 37:59Speaker 2: is so And when I goof it up like that,
- 38:02Speaker 2: it hurts me. It hurts me in my core.
- 38:08Speaker 4: If only you were as good at your job as
- 38:10Speaker 4: Mike Ryan woof Dan, you would agree that I'm not
- 38:13Speaker 4: very intelligent, right, you would agree.
- 38:15Speaker 2: You would all agree on that. Let's agree.
- 38:17Speaker 12: Rah rah rah rah rah. Let's tough in this thing
- 38:22Speaker 12: up a little bit here in MMA news where you
- 38:27Speaker 12: at Heileiah. Hello, Hello, Hello, the seas are a roiling boys.
- 38:32Speaker 12: We've come up woefully short. I've harmed my larynx. You
- 38:36Speaker 12: felt the pop clearly. We don't know what we're doing.
- 38:39Speaker 12: Bleep off my guitar gently weeps.
- 38:41Speaker 2: I'm a jackass, but I'm not really a jackass.
- 38:44Speaker 11: Let's talk you, stan Levotard and studiads and Sport's talk
- 38:48Speaker 11: seven ninety that tickies.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Good night everybody, And here is the finale.
- 38:57Speaker 3: Because we were talking about your footfall moment on the
- 39:00Speaker 3: last episode and played it for Stump to meet. Uh,
- 39:04Speaker 3: No one would know that you were doing foot fault
- 39:07Speaker 3: when you kept saying foot foot I apparently had turned
- 39:09Speaker 3: that into an entire big open Oh wow, it sounded.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Like this attention. This is the Dan Levitt show.
- 39:19Speaker 7: Let's hear STU gotts to try to say foot fault,
- 39:23Speaker 7: but a.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Foot call foot foot of facult.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Attention Dan Levitt's art.
- 39:28Speaker 7: He talks like there's a foot in his mouth.
- 39:32Speaker 4: Sometimes it's such a rush to get my points in
- 39:34Speaker 4: because you'll give me like fifteen seconds to speak around here.
- 39:37Speaker 2: This is the real base, the foot call foot foot
- 39:40Speaker 2: of fall cault.
- 39:41Speaker 3: Anyone that tries to correct their own mispronunciation of foot
- 39:45Speaker 3: fault with a foot foot?
- 39:50Speaker 14: What was I doing?
- 39:51Speaker 2: Foot foot?
- 39:53Speaker 7: Let's hear foot fault again?
- 39:54Speaker 2: Please, but a foot call a foot foot of facult?
- 39:58Speaker 7: Wow, it's it's hard. It's hard.
- 40:00Speaker 9: It's hard to mispronounce that with more inefficiency than you
- 40:05Speaker 9: did there.
- 40:06Speaker 7: Let's hear temporarily temporating? What temperating?
- 40:12Speaker 1: Wait?
- 40:13Speaker 7: Wait, what temperating? Oh the boy, what temporating? What's he's
- 40:22Speaker 7: saying here? Temperating? You have trouble when there are a
- 40:26Speaker 7: couple of syllables at the end of the word and
- 40:27Speaker 7: it ends in.
- 40:28Speaker 2: L y, you're looking into my soul Man.
- 40:31Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, let's hear Stutt say beef jerky, beef jerky
- 40:37Speaker 9: and finally digestion, digestion.
- 40:40Speaker 11: What stan lemotad and stuccat some sport's talk seven ninety
- 40:45Speaker 11: that tick.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Foot foot temperating beef jerky digestion what that stuff is
- 40:56Speaker 2: so good?
- 40:57Speaker 3: I've got, when I say, more than two dred of
- 41:00Speaker 3: those to get to at some point. They're they're just
- 41:04Speaker 3: one brings back more memories than the next. I look,
- 41:07Speaker 3: got tears streaming down my face, like all inuugh. It
- 41:10Speaker 3: was just so funny and it was such a great
- 41:12Speaker 3: like that's really when everyone was getting along.
- 41:15Speaker 4: Well, and it was oh yes, yeah, that was us
- 41:17Speaker 4: at the height.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Of our powers right now.
- 41:20Speaker 4: Yeah, we had figured out our roles, we were having success,
- 41:23Speaker 4: we were getting ratings.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Hank was getting angrier at us. I think we were.
- 41:28Speaker 2: We were just in the zone, like we were in
- 41:30Speaker 2: that zone.
- 41:30Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, stuff is great. Anyway, stuff you want to
- 41:33Speaker 3: hear on this pod. Just DM me on Instagram Radio
- 41:37Speaker 3: Mark Hawkman on Instagram. I have been getting a lot
- 41:40Speaker 3: of d ms lately because we've been doing a lot
- 41:42Speaker 3: of episodes.
- 41:42Speaker 2: I have been responding to everybody.
- 41:45Speaker 3: You can buy shirts at the horse muffins dot com
- 41:49Speaker 3: t shirt shop, And I was thinking to myself, do
- 41:55Speaker 3: you think Dan should tweet out from his account a
- 41:58Speaker 3: link to horse Muffins dot Doesn't he owe me that.
- 42:02Speaker 2: I think he should? There is zero chance that he's
- 42:05Speaker 2: actually going to do that. Well, you broach that with
- 42:08Speaker 2: him next time you talked to him, Will you say?
- 42:10Speaker 1: Listen?
- 42:10Speaker 3: One of the things that Hawk was talking about on
- 42:12Speaker 3: the podcast was that you should send out a link
- 42:15Speaker 3: to horse muffins dot com.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Right, I will.
- 42:17Speaker 3: I'm certain that will fix our relationship. Write that note,
- 42:21Speaker 3: though I don't think you're gonna remember this, write that down.
- 42:23Speaker 2: You want me to write it down.
- 42:25Speaker 3: Write it down that we used to discuss on the pod,
- 42:27Speaker 3: him sending out a link for horse mull when I
- 42:29Speaker 3: finished texting Lorie about what you said about her Bush
- 42:40Speaker 3: would be a great way to end the podcast if
- 42:42Speaker 3: you didn't have to do nicknames. But we've got to
- 42:44Speaker 3: do nicknames. I know you thought you had just stuck
- 42:48Speaker 3: the landing, which you did. We can't end this podcast
- 42:55Speaker 3: without you getting three sports nicknames.
- 42:59Speaker 4: Correc Okay, well wait a second, what am I writing
- 43:02Speaker 4: down here? Tell Dan holdout?
- 43:05Speaker 3: Tell Dan but I'm wanting to say it like this,
- 43:07Speaker 3: Hey pal, all right, hold on, let me write scratch
- 43:10Speaker 3: that out. Hey pal, it's Stu gots gos Hawk has
- 43:17Speaker 3: reopened horse Muffins dot com. Yeah, it's reopened horse Muffins
- 43:23Speaker 3: dot com. It's fully owned by his son. You remember
- 43:30Speaker 3: the kid you put in the middle of the street
- 43:32Speaker 3: around midnight on a Thanksgiving with nothing to protect him
- 43:38Speaker 3: if a car had run by.
- 43:40Speaker 2: Hold on, nothing to protect him if a car had
- 43:42Speaker 2: run by. This is more writing. This is more writing
- 43:46Speaker 2: than I did for my actual book that I wrote.
- 43:54Speaker 3: And his son think for you to make amends for
- 43:57Speaker 3: that terrible moment, Yes, that's how you do it. You
- 44:00Speaker 3: should send out a link from the Lebotard Show Twitter
- 44:03Speaker 3: account telling everyone to buy a shirt at Horsemuffins dot.
- 44:07Speaker 4: Com so I can add my own commentary, right, I
- 44:10Speaker 4: could say, it's the least you could do for almost.
- 44:11Speaker 2: Killing the kid. I mean, yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 44:15Speaker 1: Well.
- 44:19Speaker 4: Artist Gilmore Oh wow, spurs, great center, great head of hair.
- 44:29Speaker 2: I grew up watching them with the bulls. Artist Gilmore, Man,
- 44:35Speaker 2: that's going to be a tough one for me.
- 44:40Speaker 1: No, I don't know.
- 44:42Speaker 2: The artist.
- 44:43Speaker 1: What is it?
- 44:45Speaker 2: The a t the a tran.
- 44:47Speaker 4: You know what, when you don't know the nickname, one
- 44:51Speaker 4: of the first things you need to do is take
- 44:52Speaker 4: the guy's first initial and turn it into a train.
- 44:55Speaker 4: You're at montrel Willis D train D train. Yeah, yeah,
- 45:00Speaker 4: Lafayette Lever, fat fat Lever.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Yes, you know him, Taylor.
- 45:07Speaker 8: Tangentially.

- 45:16Speaker 4: Nice call with junior Bridgeman. That's a great call.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Playing for the box.
- 45:21Speaker 4: You're you're doing this in a different way. Why that's
- 45:23Speaker 4: more difficult for me, But I appreciate it's fun.
- 45:25Speaker 2: That's a great call right there. I had no idea
- 45:28Speaker 2: his name was Ulysses. But but you use the context clues.
- 45:33Speaker 2: I just used Bridgeman. Yeah right, and uh, let me
- 45:38Speaker 2: give you one more here. I'll keep it in basketball.
- 45:41Speaker 4: Jamal Wilkes. Wow, Jamal Wilkes, U C l A Lakers,
- 45:49Speaker 4: Come on, this is this feels like an easy one.

- 45:57Speaker 2: Silk Silk Wilkes.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Yes, there you go.
- 46:01Speaker 2: You nailed it. Yes, he was so smooth.

- 46:36Speaker 1: With Stu Gotts and Hawkman
