- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Vegas Revealed, presented by Level Up Law, starts now.
- 0:04Dayna Roselli: It is episode 229 of Vegas Revealed.
- 0:08Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli and Sean McAllister here with you today, and we're just gonna get right into it today.
- 0:14Dayna Roselli: Because we mentioned a couple podcasts ago, we're taking a little bit of vacation, so we're pre-recording some of these.
- 0:21Dayna Roselli: But um, this is something that we felt like a lot of people ask us about, and it's different attractions for family or you know, basically people of all ages, you know, that way you can bring the young, you can bring the old, you can bring, you know, the middle age.
- 0:39Dayna Roselli: And it doesn't matter, anyone, it doesn't matter.
- 0:41Sean McAllister: And we've mentioned before, Dana, neither Dana nor myself have children.
- 0:46Sean McAllister: So we're not out on the ground doing all of these family activities as much as let's say some of our friends who have kids.
- 0:56Sean McAllister: So we do realize that a lot of you do look for these activities though.
- 1:01Sean McAllister: So we did want to compile some of the options here for you in Las Vegas because there really are a lot of family-friendly things to do.
- 1:10Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 1:11Dayna Roselli: Because we ran into one of our listeners, Jackie.
- 1:13Dayna Roselli: We mentioned it a couple podcasts ago.
- 1:14Dayna Roselli: We ran into her at the peppermint, and she said the one thing you're missing is, but she said, But I know, I know you don't have, I know you don't have kids, and it might not be your expertise.
- 1:22Dayna Roselli: But she even asked, maybe we talked to someone who does have kids.
- 1:25Dayna Roselli: So we might we might do that eventually.
- 1:27Dayna Roselli: But it was funny because we both said, funny you mention it on the television show that weekend, we actually did an entire segment on family-friendly activities and also activities that'll keep you cool if you want to do them this summer with the family.
- 1:43Sean McAllister: Absolutely, because the kids are still out of school for at least a little bit here in Las Vegas.
- 1:49Sean McAllister: And if you're visiting, um, you know, especially from the East Coast, summer lasts a little bit longer for schools back east.
- 1:56Sean McAllister: So if you're bringing the family out, um, we do have a a list that we featured on the TV show.
- 2:03Sean McAllister: So we do want to play you um that segment that we've already put together, and then we're gonna come back on the back end of that and have even more thoughts for you.
- 2:14Dayna Roselli: And please note that these activities that we mention, attractions, shows, they're also really fun for adults.
- 2:22Dayna Roselli: So don't tune out if you're a single or you're coming in to Vega.
- 2:26Dayna Roselli: I mean, this is a list of things that you can also do.
- 2:28Sean McAllister: How about we start with a blast from the past?
- 2:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the kids' toy light bright was so popular when we were growing up.
- 2:35Dayna Roselli: I'm sure you've seen one or played with one a time or two.
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: Well, now it's larger than life over at a luminarium at area 15 here in Las Vegas.
- 2:43Sean McAllister: Yeah, we stopped over there to get a preview of this interactive attraction that multiple generations can enjoy together.
- 2:51Sean McAllister: Light light, light bright, turn on the magical colored light, light bright light.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: We're excited to introduce Light Bright Worlds of Wonder.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Uh, it's a great show that reaches across so many different generations, whether you grew up with the product in the 80s, with the iconic toy in the 80s or 70s, even, uh, and now to today where the light bright actually can fit in the palm of your hand.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: So it's uh a great show for mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, or even the the kids getting out of school now.
- 3:21Dayna Roselli: You know, this whole immersive experience is so popular now, which is why I'm assuming Illuminarium works so well.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Definitely.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, we we started with putting people on the surface of the moon, per se.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Um vir virtually, but uh that's one of my favorite elements is we can put you on the surface of the moon, or we can put you on a in a safari where you can come face to face with cheetahs, tigers, gorillas, and things like along that lines, and and now into the three different worlds of white, bright worlds of wonder.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: We bring you into three different uh interactive realms, which are really cool.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: Uh, an underwater, undersea theme, an out-of-s out of space theme, as well as a prehistoric realm where you get to experience dinosaurs and a lot of interactive elements there too.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: I think it's known to for its gambling and entertainment, but it tends to be more adult, so we like the family image and making sure that there's something for both visitors as well as our local community that can bring out uh the family together and experience this this show together.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: It's about an hour of your day if you want to see the entire show experience.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Uh, it's free room.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: Once you're inside the room, you can sit and enjoy and just take it all in, or you can get up and interact with the different experiences.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: It's all up to you and how you want to gauge that experience, but it runs an hour.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: It's something that has lasted over all these generations.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: You know, it's uh kids have been able to rediscover it over all these years.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: As all the different technology has progressed, that toy has stayed timeless.
- 4:43Dayna Roselli: Light Bright Worlds of Wonder is now open over at Illuminarium.
- 4:47Dayna Roselli: We went inside, really enjoyed it, and we had some fun.
- 4:49Sean McAllister: It was.
- 4:50Sean McAllister: It was a lot of fun, and you really do get that light bright vibe, and it kind of takes you back a little bit.
- 4:55Sean McAllister: It does.
- 4:56Sean McAllister: Well, let's keep the nostalgia going.
- 4:58Sean McAllister: Remember staying home from school and watching The Price Is Right?
- 5:00Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 5:01Sean McAllister: I even scheduled my college classes around that show, believe it or not.
- 5:05Sean McAllister: And now you have the chance to play right here in Las Vegas.
- 5:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the Price is Right Live is a touring stage version of the classic TV game show.
- 5:14Dayna Roselli: And just like you see on TV, you have a chance to come on down if you're in the audience.
- 5:20Dayna Roselli: Now, tickets for the Price Is Right Live are on sale now.
- 5:24Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be at Lee's Family Forum in Green Valley on December 1st.
- 5:30Sean McAllister: And here's a kid-friendly entertainment option over at Town Square.
- 5:34Sean McAllister: Dinosaur Outpost has become a hit with thousands of local families, and it's only been open for a couple months now.
- 5:41Sean McAllister: Kids can adventure back in time where they interact with dinosaurs in prehistoric scenes.
- 5:47Sean McAllister: You can play Tug of War with Dusty the Dinosaur.
- 5:50Sean McAllister: Ooh.
- 5:50Sean McAllister: Even feed meatballs to a raptor.
- 5:52Sean McAllister: Who'd have thought?
- 5:54Sean McAllister: This is definitely a hands-on, phones-off experience open daily from 11 to 7.
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: And this just opened the electric playhouse inside the Caesars Forum Shops.
- 6:06Dayna Roselli: It's a pretty cool concept that merges the digital and physical worlds so that guests can actually play a variety of motion-activated games.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: It definitely looks like more of an activity than an exhibit.
- 6:17Dayna Roselli: Uh, love it.
- 6:17Dayna Roselli: It's in the old Planet Hollywood restaurant location.
- 6:21Sean McAllister: And keep the Arte Museum in mind this summer, too.
- 6:25Sean McAllister: Each of the spaces inside transport you to different environments with a multi-sensory experience.
- 6:31Sean McAllister: For example, if you're in the ocean room, it actually smells like the ocean.
- 6:35Sean McAllister: In another room, you can make a little drawing and it comes to life up on the walls.
- 6:41Sean McAllister: They also have a Nevada resident discount going on.
- 6:45Sean McAllister: It's$10 off for standard tickets.
- 6:48Sean McAllister: Just present your ID.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: Hey, Spy Ninjas HQ Adventure Park is a great place to have some fun and keep cool.
- 6:55Dayna Roselli: It's all indoors.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: There's obstacle courses, an indoor zip line, trampolines, VR games, and so much more.
- 7:03Dayna Roselli: It's massive.
- 7:04Dayna Roselli: There's even a bar inside for the adults.
- 7:06Dayna Roselli: And they have a cafe there with food.
- 7:08Dayna Roselli: It's on West Sahara.
- 7:09Dayna Roselli: It opens at 10 a.m.
- 7:10Dayna Roselli: and it is closed on Tuesday, so keep that in mind.
- 7:14Sean McAllister: And remember, Terry Fader's show is family friendly too, and he has a new show at the Strat with 5 p.m.
- 7:21Sean McAllister: Show times.
- 7:22Sean McAllister: Terry's a ventriloquist, comedian, a singer, and he has a cast of characters that you kind of fall in love with, don't you?
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 7:29Sean McAllister: You can watch our backstage tour and interview with Terry on our Vegas Revealed YouTube channel.
- 7:35Dayna Roselli: And hey, if you like a 5 p.m.
- 7:37Dayna Roselli: show time for the family, how about this?
- 7:40Dayna Roselli: ILuminate has weekend show times at 3 p.m.
- 7:44Dayna Roselli: And it's also over at the Strat.
- 7:46Dayna Roselli: Now, this is a family-friendly experience.
- 7:47Dayna Roselli: Children five years or older can attend this show.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: It was named Best New Act in America by America's Got Talent.
- 7:54Dayna Roselli: And look at this.
- 7:55Dayna Roselli: The cast includes top dancers and choreographers, along with this energetic music, and it creates this multi-sensory live show experience.
- 8:04Dayna Roselli: The dancers wear those customized LED suits with wireless lighting programs.
- 8:09Dayna Roselli: It's just really cool.
- 8:11Dayna Roselli: They do have the 3 p.m.
- 8:12Dayna Roselli: shows on the weekend.
- 8:13Dayna Roselli: I think the other show times are 7 p.m.
- 8:16Dayna Roselli: on the days that they perform.
- 8:17Sean McAllister: Yeah, I remember seeing I Illuminate on AGT, and it really is a fun show to watch.
- 8:24Sean McAllister: Well, if thrill rides are more your thing, the Strat is also offering 50% off admission to the tower and observation deck with a Nevada ID.
- 8:34Sean McAllister: You can also get half-off tickets on the X Scream, Big Shot, and Sky Jump, all at the top of the strat.
- 8:41Dayna Roselli: I love this.
- 8:42Dayna Roselli: 50% off is a big discount.
- 8:44Sean McAllister: That's huge.
- 8:45Sean McAllister: And hey, get your thrill on for a little less.
- 8:49Dayna Roselli: Okay, so that was our list that we did on TV.
- 8:51Dayna Roselli: Visuals to go along with it.
- 8:53Dayna Roselli: If you want to see it, go to our Vegas Revealed YouTube page.
- 8:56Dayna Roselli: All our shows are there.
- 8:57Dayna Roselli: But we aren't done yet.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: We have thought about it, done some research, but also just things popping into our mind while we're sitting here.
- 9:06Dayna Roselli: Like, oh yeah, the high roller.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: Oh yeah, this.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: Oh, the Discovery Children's Museum.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: So we've got some more things.
- 9:12Sean McAllister: Because we told you there really are a ton of things to do.
- 9:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:16Sean McAllister: Um, let's start with museums, because museums are a good way to get out of the heat and kill a bunch of time too.
- 9:22Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 9:23Sean McAllister: So the Discovery Children's Museum, um, that's downtown.
- 9:28Sean McAllister: It's Symphony Park by the Smith Center.
- 9:30Sean McAllister: Oh, okay.
- 9:31Sean McAllister: So that's got so many interactive activities for the kids.
- 9:37Sean McAllister: There's multiple levels inside.
- 9:39Sean McAllister: There's a big splash zone where the kids can play in these big water activations.
- 9:46Dayna Roselli: And it's a little, you know, educational as well.
- 9:48Dayna Roselli: So it's a mix.
- 9:49Dayna Roselli: So don't feel like, oh, you know, just throwing the day away.
- 9:53Dayna Roselli: Your kid might learn something too.
- 9:55Sean McAllister: Well, and I've talked to parents who have taken their kids there and they were like, you know what?
- 9:58Sean McAllister: It was actually really fun.
- 9:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 10:00Sean McAllister: Like the word museum doesn't necessarily mean that it's gonna be boring.
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: We've gone there for a video shoot and we were like, wow, it's really cool.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 10:09Sean McAllister: Families were having fun.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 10:11Sean McAllister: Also, the Nevada Natural History Museum.
- 10:15Sean McAllister: Um, keep that in mind.
- 10:17Sean McAllister: That's also a great place.
- 10:19Sean McAllister: And Madame Tussaud's, the Wax Museum.
- 10:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, sometimes you forget about that.
- 10:22Dayna Roselli: And then I'll see something and I'll go, wow, like a new wax figures inveiled.
- 10:26Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, that is a fun place.
- 10:28Dayna Roselli: I mean, we're it's funny because we grew up near Niagara Falls.
- 10:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 10:32Dayna Roselli: And I used to go to that one.
- 10:34Sean McAllister: Yes, over on the Canadian side.
- 10:36Dayna Roselli: Yes, on the Canadian side.
- 10:37Dayna Roselli: It was like a big deal, you know.
- 10:38Dayna Roselli: We'd be like, let's hit up the wax museum.
- 10:40Dayna Roselli: We're so excited to do things that we couldn't do in Rochester, New York.
- 10:44Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 10:45Dayna Roselli: So anyway, whenever I think about that, I'm like, oh my gosh, I forget we have one too.
- 10:50Sean McAllister: Um, and then there is another museum.
- 10:54Sean McAllister: This one over at the Link.
- 10:55Sean McAllister: This is uh the Museum of Selfies.
- 10:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's fun too.
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: And you know, the Link is a great spot for families because they have a light show at night, the high roller is there, uh, there's some casual restaurants there, along with some little bit nicer or more, you know, like there's and there's also like yard house, which is more like sports bar y and stuff like that, big menu.
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: But they also have like uh candy stores there, which are really fun to pop into with the kids.
- 11:21Dayna Roselli: Um, and I noticed they have this like VR adventure there now.
- 11:24Dayna Roselli: So there are a lot of things to do, and the promenade's really cool to walk.
- 11:28Sean McAllister: It is, it's visually just a fun place to be.
- 11:32Sean McAllister: So you keep the link in mind if you're coming in town with the family.
- 11:36Sean McAllister: Also, uh the adventure dome over at Circus Circus has a lot going on.
- 11:42Sean McAllister: Most recently, they added uh the SpongeBob ride, right?
- 11:46Sean McAllister: Which is kind of like what Toy Story Mania, the Midway Mania at Disneyland.
- 11:51Sean McAllister: Like it's that kind of ride where you play games as you go throughout it.
- 11:55Sean McAllister: And don't forget about Tournament of Kings at Excalibur if you want to take the kids someplace fun for dinner.
- 12:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:02Dayna Roselli: And then also, um, we've talked about this, it's been a while.
- 12:05Dayna Roselli: Uh, the Mystic Falls Park at Sam's town.
- 12:09Dayna Roselli: You went during the holidays.
- 12:11Sean McAllister: Actually, uh it was during the holidays.
- 12:14Sean McAllister: It was during the holidays, but then even again more recently, too.
- 12:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and you were like, you know what, we don't appreciate this enough.
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: No, and so it what is that like?
- 12:22Sean McAllister: So over at Sam's Town, their whole hotel is built around this center courtyard, Mystic Falls, and it's lush.
- 12:32Sean McAllister: There's all these trees and plants everywhere, and in the center of it, there's this mountain with a waterfall coming off of it.
- 12:40Sean McAllister: And I forget how often the the shows run over there at Mystic Falls, right?
- 12:47Sean McAllister: But all of the wildlife comes to life, and there's this laser light show, there's a story that goes along with it, and all these creatures are all around you coming to life.
- 13:00Sean McAllister: It really is a fun thing to go and see.
- 13:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's it sounds it.
- 13:06Dayna Roselli: And I I also brought that up because just as we're even coming up with ideas, I thought, you know, our sponsor is Vegas near me.
- 13:15Dayna Roselli: It's a free app to download.
- 13:16Dayna Roselli: You don't even have to put your email in.
- 13:18Dayna Roselli: Let's look and see what they've got for kids' activities.
- 13:21Dayna Roselli: I mean, honestly, download this app because it's a savior.
- 13:25Dayna Roselli: It's a savior.
- 13:26Dayna Roselli: I just found, you know, Mystic Falls Park on there under free for kids.
- 13:30Dayna Roselli: So all I did was type in family and the categories that came up right away: fun for kids, what they feature, fun for kids free, fun for kids activities, family-friendly tour activity and features, family style restaurants, um, then popular chains.
- 13:49Dayna Roselli: They have different kinds of tours and even stores for family, um, the National Park Express.
- 13:55Dayna Roselli: It's really cool.
- 13:56Dayna Roselli: Downtown Container Park, the Las Vegas ballpark.
- 14:00Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 14:00Dayna Roselli: Go see an aviators game, it's really fun there.
- 14:02Dayna Roselli: The Lee's Family Forum, you know, check out what events they have.
- 14:06Dayna Roselli: But when you type in fun for kids free, Mystic Falls Park is at the top.
- 14:12Dayna Roselli: Um, also there are a lot of different things on here as far as just parks around town if you want to find a park to hang out in.
- 14:20Sean McAllister: Another great feature on uh Vegas Near Me is in your settings, you can um set age limits for activities.
- 14:28Sean McAllister: So it's not even gonna show you anything where that isn't suitable for kids.
- 14:34Sean McAllister: So that's another great feature.
- 14:36Sean McAllister: Download Vegas Near Me.
- 14:38Sean McAllister: It's available in the Apple App Store and on Google Play for uh Android devices as well.
- 14:44Dayna Roselli: But also the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat.
- 14:46Dayna Roselli: I was just looking at the free things, but it really is great.
- 14:49Dayna Roselli: Um, and all the different things that they have listed.
- 14:52Dayna Roselli: Um, even theaters and then kids quest and you know the house of cars.
- 14:58Sean McAllister: There's uh the camel rides out in the desert if you want to go be more adventurous.
- 15:04Dayna Roselli: What's the house of cars?
- 15:05Dayna Roselli: See, I'm learning ten to six.
- 15:08Dayna Roselli: House of Diecast Cars from Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning, Green Light, Auto World, Vegas Die Cast.
- 15:14Dayna Roselli: Okay, so this is cool.
- 15:15Dayna Roselli: I wonder if it's like a little museum.
- 15:17Dayna Roselli: Anyway, that's on Southeastern Avenue.
- 15:18Dayna Roselli: So anyway, take a browse around.
- 15:20Dayna Roselli: But there are really tons of things to do.
- 15:23Dayna Roselli: When people think Vegas, they think nothing.
- 15:27Dayna Roselli: But no, that's not true.
- 15:29Sean McAllister: And we have uh water parks here too.
- 15:31Sean McAllister: So there's lots to keep the family occupied if you're coming into town with a family, or if you live here in Las Vegas, lots of things to go out and explore.
- 15:42Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 15:42Dayna Roselli: And then, you know, if you want to bring the nanny and you're looking for things to do for nightlife and dinner, text us in our show notes.
- 15:52Dayna Roselli: We're experts at that.
- 15:53Sean McAllister: And we've got the adult side of things covered.
- 15:56Sean McAllister: By the way, just thinking about it, even going up to uh Lee Canyon, to the ski resort up at Lee Canyon, which is about an hour, a little over an hour drive from downtown.
- 16:07Sean McAllister: Um, up at the ski lodge, they have archery and hiking.
- 16:11Sean McAllister: If you want to get into cooler temperatures and have more of an outdoor kind of a vibe too, and there's food and drink up there.
- 16:18Sean McAllister: So another option for you.
- 16:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah, lots to do, that's for sure.
- 16:22Dayna Roselli: Okay, hopefully we we covered and helped.
- 16:25Dayna Roselli: Um, and then, you know, don't bother us on family activities for another six months.
- 16:31Dayna Roselli: And I'm totally kidding.
- 16:32Dayna Roselli: We like to sprinkle those in a lot.
- 16:34Dayna Roselli: We have incredible stuff to do here, incredible escape rooms, incredible museums and immersive attractions, and we'll always be on top of all that stuff.
- 16:43Sean McAllister: We will.
- 16:44Sean McAllister: Uh, thanks for listening.
- 16:45Sean McAllister: We'll be back next week.
- 16:46Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 16:46Dayna Roselli: Oh, you know what?
- 16:47Dayna Roselli: Postcard from Earth at the sphere.
- 16:49Sean McAllister: Postcard from Earth, another good one.
- 16:50Dayna Roselli: Another good one for the kids in the lobby.
- 16:52Dayna Roselli: Give it to play with the robot and aura the robot, all that kind of stuff.
- 16:55Sean McAllister: Aura the robot.
- 16:56Sean McAllister: She'll tell you things that you don't expect.
- 16:58Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 16:58Dayna Roselli: All right, we'll be back next week with uh, I don't know, gossip, news, entertainment, all the good stuff.
- 17:05Dayna Roselli: Once our vacation's over, we'll be ready to catch up, and I'm sure we'll have a lot to talk about as usual.
- 17:11Dayna Roselli: Love the good stuff.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: Level Up Law is looking to help you.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: You might have heard about the recent lawsuits surrounding Ozempic.
