- 0:51SPEAKER_02: I am just overly excited today to have a brand new diva, Naomi McDonald, with me.
- 0:56SPEAKER_02: And she is going to speak about animal communication and healing, and she is a published author and going to speak about her books.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: Oh my, am I ever excited.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: Naomi McDonald, would you please introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about yourself today?
- 1:16SPEAKER_02: Oh, well, hi, Joyce, and thank you and Divas That Care for having me.
- 1:22SPEAKER_02: I think this is just an awesome opportunity for such a wonderful group, and I'm honored to be a part of it.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: I live in Oklahoma.
- 1:32SPEAKER_02: I have a...
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: I am married with a daughter and two lovely grandkids, and so they keep my life very busy, and...
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: During the time that I spent as a horse trainer, I think I did what so many people do in being tenacious about helping my animals through different things that would come up, which might be behavioral, might be a lameness, might be a health issue of some kind.
- 2:05SPEAKER_02: I ran across an animal communicator that helped me with things, and I was so absolutely intrigued that I ended up studying animal communication myself.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: And so I moved into the world of taking classes, and now I teach those classes of listening to our pets in a little deeper way.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: My, oh, I absolutely love that.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: Oh, that is just beautiful.
- 2:38SPEAKER_02: So it's through your own life experiences that led you in to becoming an animal communicator.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: Wow, that's incredible.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: Well, I have to ask then, have you always felt a big connection to animals because you said you were a horse trainer or is this something that just kind of came into life or has it always been animals been a part of your life?
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: Well, animals have always been a part of my life, and it was my dream.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: I fell in love with horses at three, and that never stopped.
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: It just led me from one thing to another.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: But I had no idea that that was even really something that was possible.
- 3:24SPEAKER_02: As a matter of fact, I took one of my clients to ride a lady's horse once, And she did.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: She rode the horse and she got off and handed the horse's bridle reins to the woman and said, you know, I'm really interested.
- 3:41SPEAKER_02: I think I would like to come again and spend some time with him.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: And the horse's owner said, well, you have to give me a little while.
- 3:51SPEAKER_02: I'm going to go in and call my animal communicator and see if he liked you.
- 3:57SPEAKER_02: And I looked at my student, and she looked at me, and we're looking at each other like, is this woman loony or what?
- 4:06SPEAKER_02: And that was my first introduction into it.
- 4:11SPEAKER_02: And then, you know, things come to you when they need to.
- 4:15SPEAKER_02: I've just learned to follow it.
- 4:18SPEAKER_02: And I was having trouble on the ranch with one of the mayors, and We had done so many things to help her become comfortable.
- 4:27SPEAKER_02: And I heard of this woman in Texas that could speak to them, could find places where they hurt.
- 4:35SPEAKER_02: And I thought, you know what?
- 4:37SPEAKER_02: I've spent thousands of dollars on this horse and nothing's worked.
- 4:41SPEAKER_02: What is this?
- 4:43SPEAKER_02: And so she was in Houston and I was in Oklahoma.
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: And she visited with nine of my horses that day.
- 4:50SPEAKER_02: And it...
- 4:54SPEAKER_02: She found issues that our vets had not found.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: And so I think there were three horses through different having x-rays done that verified what she said that were better.
- 5:11SPEAKER_02: And I thought, okay, I have to learn about this.
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: I have to know about this.
- 5:17SPEAKER_02: And through that process, what I realized was I was listening to them speak.
- 5:22SPEAKER_02: All the time, I didn't know it.
- 5:27SPEAKER_02: I would have a feeling that this one wanted to go over here, and I would respond.
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: But I didn't know, so I realized that I was receiving information all the time.
- 5:39SPEAKER_02: I just didn't have a label or understand the language around it.
- 5:46UNKNOWN: Okay.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: Oh, I absolutely love that.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: Being connected to animals also.
- 5:51SPEAKER_02: I mean, I thought, oh, I wish so many years ago I would have had this opportunity.
- 5:58SPEAKER_02: to know that there was ways to communicate with them like you do.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: And, oh, I just love it.
- 6:07SPEAKER_02: I have learned so much in the last year myself on this, and I am so intrigued by it because there is such a connection with animals.
- 6:17SPEAKER_02: It's just unbelievable.
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: Oh, I just love that.
- 6:21SPEAKER_02: That is just beautiful.
- 6:23UNKNOWN: Yes.
- 6:24SPEAKER_02: Well, I have to ask then, because you said you kind of felt that you had always been communicating with them, just not as fully as once you kind of learn.
- 6:35SPEAKER_02: Can anyone talk to their animals then?
- 6:39SPEAKER_02: Or is this a, you feel, something that has to be a talent that you receive or that you learn?
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: Well, we're all intuitive.
- 6:52SPEAKER_02: We're all intuitive.
- 6:55SPEAKER_02: Society are the things that we think we're imagining or we're taught that our intuition is not the real world.
- 7:04SPEAKER_02: And so what we end up doing is not responding or recognizing our intuition.
- 7:13SPEAKER_02: But yes, every single person has intuitive ability to And every single person receives information on an intuitive level.
- 7:28SPEAKER_02: And it could be something as simple as walking in a room and having a feeling and the hair stands up on your arms.
- 7:38SPEAKER_02: Or thinking about someone and in a few days they call you or you run into them.
- 7:44SPEAKER_02: Those often are not acknowledged as you know, being intuitive or using that, you know, using your intuition.
- 7:55SPEAKER_02: But when you decide that you want to in some way expand on your intuitive abilities, there's a lot of places out there that offer those types of things.
- 8:12SPEAKER_02: The animals are just so open and willing and appreciate so much our ability our efforts to listen to them more deeply, and they're receiving information from us and energy from us all the time.
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: And so they're very, very open and very easy to practice with and to get verification from.
- 8:40SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 8:44SPEAKER_02: Oh, how beautiful.
- 8:45SPEAKER_02: Definitely.
- 8:46SPEAKER_02: Well, it's kind of like when you hear a lot of times you'll hear, listen to that quiet voice inside of you.
- 8:53SPEAKER_02: And that's kind of what it reminds me of with our intuitions.
- 8:57SPEAKER_02: We're not listening to that voice because there's so much other noise out there that we just kind of bury that quiet voice sometimes is kind of how I think about it.
- 9:08SPEAKER_02: Yes, that's perfect.
- 9:10UNKNOWN: Okay.
- 9:11SPEAKER_02: Well, what do you feel, being an animal communicator, what do you feel some of the things are that we can learn from these animals?
- 9:22SPEAKER_02: Well, one of the first and foremost things is that they come to us with a purpose.
- 9:27SPEAKER_02: And that purpose is to help us grow and to help us learn and to help us become more of who we are, to guide us through the hard times, to be comfort through the hard times.
- 9:44SPEAKER_02: So animals come to us with that intention and to allow us to make choices.
- 9:52SPEAKER_02: And so what I'd like to do, especially because it's getting to be wintertime, and some of the things that happen are, and especially when it's cold, Sometimes there's lost animals and it can be very hard in the sense that they can't tell us they're at 4th and Main or they've been in a trailer for, you know, three hours and just gotten out.
- 10:24SPEAKER_02: So I'd like to give maybe some little tips on what it would benefit...
- 10:35SPEAKER_02: different things like finding a lost animal or easing separation anxiety or just enriching your relationship.
- 10:48SPEAKER_02: Oh, yes.
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: That would be beautiful.
- 10:50SPEAKER_02: I'd love to hear that.
- 10:52SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 10:53SPEAKER_02: And I'm taking this from one of my blogs.
- 10:56SPEAKER_02: There is a quote from Deepak Chopra, and he says, all of material creation...
- 11:04SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 11:06SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 11:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 11:35SPEAKER_02: So we're saying how can, one, how can that benefit us, and two, when we're thinking of something and our animals do it, or are our animals really understanding our voice, or are they understanding the intention and the feelings behind our voice, or before our voice actually happens?
- 12:03SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 12:03SPEAKER_02: And we're going, well, how can that?
- 12:05SPEAKER_02: How can that help us?
- 12:08SPEAKER_02: And my veterinarian, acupuncture, became an integral part of keeping our horses sound.
- 12:20SPEAKER_02: And so my conventional veterinarian went to vet school.
- 12:24SPEAKER_02: And when she came back, she says, you know, I feel kind of silly doing this, but I find it really happens.
- 12:30SPEAKER_02: It really helps a lot.
- 12:32SPEAKER_02: And so before she would pick a horse hoof up, she would say, she would run her hand down and say, now I'm going to pick up your foot.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: And it was the intention behind, I'm going to pick up your foot.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: And so anytime we have to engage physically with our animals, if when we form the words, you know, they're going to get an injection.
- 12:59SPEAKER_02: Oh, this is going to be just a little prick.
- 13:02SPEAKER_02: like the doctor does when they give us one, I find that it's just that intention of it's okay.
- 13:18SPEAKER_02: And so the thing that we have to keep in mind is, oh, no, it's going to be a prick, and we tense up.
- 13:25SPEAKER_02: And so it's important in that realm to, oh, it's just a little prick.
- 13:31SPEAKER_02: And so the feeling behind what it is are what our pets relate to and what they receive.
- 13:42SPEAKER_02: And that absolutely can be very helpful.
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: And the other way that that is very, very helpful is anxiety with animals that, you know, they're leaving at home.
- 13:55SPEAKER_02: I've had several of my clients say, you know, I tell them I'm going.
- 14:00SPEAKER_02: I tell them I'm going to be back.
- 14:02SPEAKER_02: I send them a lot of love.
- 14:06SPEAKER_02: And it helps with that anxiety while they're gone.
- 14:10SPEAKER_02: And even when we're on trips, when they're on trips, the people taking care of the animal will say, you know, they seemed a little bit more relaxed this time.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: Because if we can develop the habit of saying goodnight to them, I love you, I'll see you soon, think about those wonderful, beautiful, mighty ways, just embracing them in your love and caring.
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 14:41SPEAKER_02: Oh, my.
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: Oh, this is hitting home so much because I do this.
- 14:46SPEAKER_02: I thought maybe I was just strange that I talked to him like this and told him that I'll be back.
- 14:51SPEAKER_02: It's okay.
- 14:51SPEAKER_02: I will only be gone for a little while.
- 14:57SPEAKER_02: And so one of the other ways that that brings in, there's another quote by Aristotle.
- 15:02SPEAKER_02: It's called contemplation is the highest form of activity.
- 15:06SPEAKER_02: The very act of reflecting on an idea sets the process of creation into action.
- 15:12SPEAKER_02: And so I had a lady called me.
- 15:16SPEAKER_02: Her son's horse had been stolen.
- 15:20SPEAKER_02: And this horse had been gone for a very long time.
- 15:23SPEAKER_02: And I felt this horse at going through one of the sales where they went to slaughter.
- 15:30SPEAKER_02: And I saw him very thin.
- 15:33SPEAKER_02: I saw him very afraid.
- 15:37SPEAKER_02: it really just turned my stomach.
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: And so the
- 15:42SPEAKER_02: lady, I relayed the information to the woman, and she said, well, sale has all my flyers.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: I've taken them there.
- 15:50SPEAKER_02: He can't be going through that sale.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: And we were just at loss.
- 15:57SPEAKER_02: I couldn't get anywhere else.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: And so what I actually asked the woman to do, and she would just absolutely agree, Mm-hmm.
- 16:11SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 16:28SPEAKER_02: What that does is it allows the synchronicity of our universe.
- 16:33SPEAKER_02: It allows the threads of our universe that hold us together to become stronger.
- 16:39SPEAKER_02: And so about a week later, I get a call from the lady, and she says she had a horse at home.
- 16:51SPEAKER_02: She had gone back to the sale, and things kind of fell into place, and she says, you know, He wasn't going through the sale.
- 16:58SPEAKER_02: He had gone through the sale.
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: He wasn't skinny.
- 17:01SPEAKER_02: He was fat.
- 17:03SPEAKER_02: You know, and so, and I had seen the horse in a chain link fence under a tree.
- 17:09SPEAKER_02: And she says, but he was in the chain link fence under a tree.
- 17:13SPEAKER_02: She says, you have all the stuff mixed up, all the timeline.
- 17:19SPEAKER_02: And that's how, you know, we receive information.
- 17:23SPEAKER_02: It's not, it's, can be a little bit more vague like that.
- 17:28SPEAKER_02: But the actual act of creating that intention and reflecting on what she wanted and feeling her horse coming home brought the synchronistic things into alignment that allows them to come back together.
- 17:57SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 17:59SPEAKER_02: Oh, my goodness.
- 18:00SPEAKER_02: Oh, that is just breathtaking.
- 18:03SPEAKER_02: I mean, I was getting chills just listening to all that because, I mean, that is just incredible how they reconnected like that.
- 18:12SPEAKER_02: Oh, wow.
- 18:14SPEAKER_02: It's so interesting.
- 18:17SPEAKER_02: It doesn't work every time, though.
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: It doesn't work every time.
- 18:20SPEAKER_02: Do you not do the flyers and do social media and do absolutely everything you can when you've lost a pet?
- 18:29SPEAKER_02: You do.
- 18:29SPEAKER_02: But it's the strengthening it.
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: It's the beauty behind that.
- 18:36SPEAKER_02: I had two cats in Kansas that had been...
- 18:40SPEAKER_02: lost recently you know I don't know what it is about Kansas but last winter we found several lost cats in Kansas they seem to be going wandering around in Kansas but anyway it's when we that can be our second line of action is do the physical things we need to do to get our loved one back,
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: and
- 19:07SPEAKER_02: then sit down and feel how beautiful it's going to be and connect yourself together.
- 19:12SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 19:14SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 19:14SPEAKER_02: Oh, my goodness.
- 19:15SPEAKER_02: Oh, and what a reunion that would be when you find that lost pet or lost horse.
- 19:21SPEAKER_02: Oh, my goodness.
- 19:22SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 19:25UNKNOWN: Yes.
- 19:25SPEAKER_02: Just wonderful on how you started it with our animals are brought into our lives for a purpose to help us grow and learn.
- 19:34SPEAKER_02: Oh, I totally can relate to that.
- 19:37SPEAKER_02: That is so true.
- 19:39SPEAKER_02: I have learned so much through the animals.
- 19:41SPEAKER_02: It is incredible.
- 19:42SPEAKER_02: It is just amazing, my little red healer that is on my host page a lot.
- 19:46SPEAKER_02: And, yeah, he has taught me so much.
- 19:49SPEAKER_02: It's incredible.
- 19:51SPEAKER_02: He was definitely brought into my life for a reason.
- 19:53SPEAKER_02: So I love that you brought that out, that they came into our lives for a purpose.
- 19:58SPEAKER_02: Oh, that was just beautiful, beautiful, Naomi.
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: Oh, good.
- 20:03SPEAKER_02: Yes, yes, yes.
- 20:05SPEAKER_02: Well, and another question.
- 20:07SPEAKER_02: I think you kind of touched on it, but Why are you so passionate about this?
- 20:14SPEAKER_02: Why is it, I can tell, it's just a burning passion inside of you that you are just loving what you do.
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: And why is that?
- 20:24SPEAKER_02: Can you explain that to our listeners?
- 20:29SPEAKER_02: Well, very interestingly, the healing work, the shamanic healing work that I do, the animal communication that I do, you know, several years ago, if someone would have told me that I would be doing something like this, I would have, that's just really silly.
- 20:45SPEAKER_02: That's not anything that I would want to do.
- 20:47SPEAKER_02: But what I realized as time went on is I learned and I grew so much with this that I It did.
- 21:00SPEAKER_02: I became very passionate about it because my life became richer, more full, more when you embrace your intuitive abilities regardless of whether it's animal-related or not.
- 21:20SPEAKER_02: you expand out into the world around you.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: And by embracing your intuitive abilities, you're also embracing the higher spiritual aspect of yourself.
- 21:32SPEAKER_02: And that aspect of yourself always knows your purpose, always knows where you would be going.
- 21:39SPEAKER_02: So I really do feel that...
- 21:47SPEAKER_02: The animals are a wonderful avenue to develop that and learn that part of it.
- 21:54SPEAKER_02: And then on a very physical aspect of it, if we spread the word and more and more of us understand the depth of what the animals come and give for us, what in a way they sacrifice for us, in the sense of food and shelter and clothing and that type of thing, if they make that choice to come in and be those things for us, to give us the choice to either care for them beautifully and lovingly or ignore them or neglect them or hurt them in some way, they came in to give us those choices.
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: I've learned that without a doubt over the years.
- 22:47SPEAKER_02: And so if we can get this message out as much as possible, there would never be another animal abused or neglected or cast aside for our...
- 23:03SPEAKER_02: Our choices would be different.
- 23:07SPEAKER_02: So in my world, we thank them and honor them and appreciate them If it's food for our tables, companionship, or in whatever venue they show up in our lives.
- 23:27SPEAKER_02: Oh my, that was a beautiful, beautiful way to put it, Naomi.
- 23:31SPEAKER_02: Oh goodness.
- 23:33SPEAKER_02: You have totally touched my heart.
- 23:39SPEAKER_02: That is just so beautiful.
- 23:41SPEAKER_02: Yes, if we could If more people, if we could only get to them and explain to them how these animals are touching our lives and making a difference.
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: And you brought it into so many different spectrums of how they do, and I just love that.
- 23:57SPEAKER_02: That is just beautiful because being a cattle rancher's wife myself and having horses and dogs and cats, and yes, I see them in so many different ways, and I'm thankful for every one of them because they're unique in each their own way, and I just love them.
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: That was so beautiful.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: Good, good.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: Well, you are such a very, very busy woman.
- 24:26SPEAKER_02: You do so many things, being a published author, being an animal communicator.
- 24:31SPEAKER_02: I see on your site you do workshops and trainings.
- 24:35SPEAKER_02: How do you manage to keep all these activities going and yet still have the time to give back like what you are doing?
- 24:46SPEAKER_02: You know, I find that things, if I try to force it, it doesn't.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: if I let it fall into place the way it should be.
- 24:54SPEAKER_02: A really interesting little tidbit, the veterinarian that went on to learn acupuncture, we were very close for a long time, and she came to me one day and said, you know, I'm going to sell my veterinary practice.
- 25:08SPEAKER_02: And I said, you are?
- 25:09SPEAKER_02: And she said, yes, I really wanted to be a writer, and I'm going to do everything I can to move into that profession.
- 25:18SPEAKER_02: So I'm going to miss you, but I have someone that's buying my practice.
- 25:24SPEAKER_02: And I said, well, I'm going to miss you too.
- 25:26SPEAKER_02: And I wish you all the best of luck.
- 25:29SPEAKER_02: And wow, being a writer, I think that would be wonderful.
- 25:32SPEAKER_02: But I could never do that, nor do I want to.
- 25:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:39SPEAKER_02: So I find that things fall into place if I just let them flow so much as I make action.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: I make a list of what I want to do in a day.
- 25:52SPEAKER_02: I think about those things.
- 25:54SPEAKER_02: And then I let it fall into place as it should.
- 25:56SPEAKER_02: So that seems to be my way of getting it all done.
- 26:04SPEAKER_02: And then I don't fret if I don't.
- 26:09SPEAKER_02: Oh, that is a great way to put it.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: That is just perfect.
- 26:12SPEAKER_02: Well, Naomi, this interview has gone so quickly.
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: Oh, my goodness.
- 26:18SPEAKER_02: I'm like, I cannot believe all the information you have given and all the things I was going to ask you, and I haven't even touched on any of them.
- 26:26SPEAKER_02: So this was just incredible.
- 26:28SPEAKER_02: I just loved it.
- 26:29SPEAKER_02: My question is, what are some final tips, tools, some advice you would like to leave with our listeners today?
- 26:41SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 26:43SPEAKER_02: Our imagination, our intuition, all of these things help us be closer to our pets.
- 26:57SPEAKER_02: And so when we feel like you're receiving something, even if it's something that's simple because they train us so well, go open the, you know, please, I would like out and open the door.
- 27:09SPEAKER_02: Open.
- 27:09SPEAKER_02: Open.
- 27:12SPEAKER_02: Follow your intuition.
- 27:14SPEAKER_02: Believe in yourself.
- 27:17SPEAKER_02: And understand that it's constantly an exchange back and forth.
- 27:22SPEAKER_02: And let me step back just a little bit to give to us is also a reflection of who they are.
- 27:36SPEAKER_02: And sometimes people will say, I know my pet is picking up my unhappiness.
- 27:48SPEAKER_02: I think my pet might be ill because I am.
- 27:51SPEAKER_02: I think I'm making my animal unhappy because my life has been in turmoil.
- 27:59SPEAKER_02: And my response to that is 100% of the time that absolutely can be happening.
