Gann Fire Forces Evacuations Near New Hogan Lake | Oakland News
A fast-moving wildfire, the Gann Fire, has erupted near New Hogan Lake in Calaveras County, swallowing over 1,400 acres with zero containment. Mandatory evacuations are in effect for eastern zones stretching from northeast of the lake to San Andreas and Salt Spring Valley Reservoir. Residents must leave immediately. The American Red Cross has opened a shelter at the Jenny Lind Community Center in Valley Springs for displaced families.
