- 1:49Speaker 4: made aware of. Also, the week in Audio Sea Best
- 1:52Speaker 4: is gonna have that for us, some of the trending
- 1:54Speaker 4: news headlines. We're getting some of the entertainment stuff. Birthdays
- 1:56Speaker 4: and Porno Birthday coming up today. You're on the wood
- 2:00Speaker 4: Show Throwback Thursday. I did have something that I wanted
- 2:04Speaker 4: to read, and this is I think this is really
- 2:06Speaker 4: going to hit the gen xers okay, because it was
- 2:08Speaker 4: a post all about like the nineties and what and
- 2:11Speaker 4: it was like all the showing like all these different
- 2:13Speaker 4: clips from different things, TV shows, events, news events. But
- 2:17Speaker 4: it was like if you as a gen xer, if
- 2:20Speaker 4: your life kind of flashed before your eyes, this is
- 2:22Speaker 4: the kind of stuff you'd see. And it was like,
- 2:24Speaker 4: oh man, it really made you miss the nineties. And
- 2:29Speaker 4: a lot of people say that the nineties were like
- 2:31Speaker 4: the last great generation. And there was this one comment
- 2:35Speaker 4: on the Instagram post. In fact, I'll repost the Instagram
- 2:40Speaker 4: thing that I'm reading off of here, but so you
- 2:42Speaker 4: can see all those video clips and stuff. It says,
- 2:44Speaker 4: they'll say every generation thinks this, but that's just that
- 2:48Speaker 4: it's just a nostalgia talking. But the truth is the nineties,
- 2:51Speaker 4: for the last decade that didn't scream at us. No
- 2:54Speaker 4: notifications clawing at our attention, no algorithm deciding who we
- 2:58Speaker 4: were supposed to be, No endless scroll convincing us that
- 3:01Speaker 4: we were behind, lacking, failing. Life had pauses built into it.
- 3:05Speaker 4: We waited, we wondered, We got bored, and boredom made
- 3:08Speaker 4: us creative, not anxious. We rode bikes until the street
- 3:12Speaker 4: lights came on. We knocked on doors instead of sending texts.
- 3:16Speaker 4: We memorized phone numbers and burned CDs. We rewound tapes
- 3:21Speaker 4: easy for me to say, and learned patients because patience
- 3:24Speaker 4: was unavoidable, and somehow that made everything feel earned. Music mattered,
- 3:30Speaker 4: not because it went viral, but because it felt like
- 3:32Speaker 4: it belonged to us. Songs didn't chase trends. They told
- 3:35Speaker 4: the truth, even when the truth was messy, loud, or sad.
- 3:39Speaker 4: We didn't skip heartbreak, We sat in it. Movies let
- 3:44Speaker 4: moments breathe shows were once a week. If you missed them,
- 3:48Speaker 4: you missed them, and instead of panicking, we talked about
- 3:51Speaker 4: it at school the next day like it was folklore.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Shared experiences. They were real, not fragmented into comment sections
- 3:58Speaker 4: and reaction clips. Xeties trusted us, trusted us to figure
- 4:02Speaker 4: things out without GPS, trusted us to fail without broadcasting it,
- 4:06Speaker 4: trusted us to grow up without turning our childhood into content.
- 4:10Speaker 4: We made mistakes privately, we healed quietly. We became ourselves
- 4:14Speaker 4: without a million strangers weighing in. And here's the part
- 4:17Speaker 4: we forgot. The nineties were far from perfect, but they
- 4:21Speaker 4: were honest. Life wasn't filtered. People didn't pretend everything was
- 4:24Speaker 4: okay all the time. We just had to show up,
- 4:26Speaker 4: and showing up was enough. That decade gave us something rare.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Room room to be awkward, room to be bored, room
- 4:33Speaker 4: to dream without immediately monetizing the dream. We didn't know
- 4:37Speaker 4: we were standing at the edge of something ending, the
- 4:40Speaker 4: last inhale before the world went digital, fast, loud, and relentless.
- 4:44Speaker 4: We didn't know how good we had it because the
- 4:47Speaker 4: best moments never announced themselves. They happened quietly, completely and
- 4:52Speaker 4: then one day you look back and realize that was it.
- 4:55Speaker 4: So if you missed the nineties, you're not stuck, you're
- 4:58Speaker 4: not romanticizing. I'm like, wow, Like there was so much
- 5:02Speaker 4: about that. I'm like, we agree with that at least.
- 5:06Speaker 3: And I think about like, you know.
- 5:08Speaker 4: My kids, you know, being teenagers, and that's when you
- 5:11Speaker 4: screw up, and that's when you do things or whatever,
- 5:13Speaker 4: and like it would happen and you would screw up.
- 5:15Speaker 4: It's not like it went viral. If he did something stupid,
- 5:19Speaker 4: it didn't live forever.
- 5:22Speaker 3: On the internet.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Potential to ruin your life exactly right, Like you know
- 5:28Speaker 4: now you know, like you were able to screw things up,
- 5:31Speaker 4: learn from it, and then never have to speak of
- 5:34Speaker 4: it or see it or anything like that.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Again, here's the throwback for you kind of like early
- 5:39Speaker 3: two thousands where a kid did something stupid and he
- 5:42Speaker 3: said it like pretty much ruined his life. It took
- 5:44Speaker 3: him like twenty plus years to get over it. Do
- 5:47Speaker 3: you remember the Star Wars kid? Oh yeah, he was
- 5:51Speaker 3: just like yeah, he was just like no, it was
- 5:53Speaker 3: actually at school and like just studio and it was
- 5:56Speaker 3: just yeah, and he was pretending that he was like
- 5:59Speaker 3: doing like, you know, all these moves and Star Wars
- 6:02Speaker 3: and the video got uploaded and he was like mortified,
- 6:05Speaker 3: he had changed schools all that kind of stuff.
- 6:07Speaker 4: So, but how would that affect you for twenty years?
- 6:09Speaker 4: That was because when you're a kid.
- 6:12Speaker 3: You took him years.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Embarrass yeah, okay, personal to get over. It was like
- 6:15Speaker 4: is eventually you.
- 6:16Speaker 6: Know, just from doing Star Wars moves. That was the
- 6:19Speaker 6: whole thing.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Yeah, because he pretty it was pretty dwarky, yeah, yeah,
- 6:24Speaker 3: oh yeah, and.
- 6:26Speaker 7: So many TV shows.
- 6:27Speaker 8: Yeah, the kids just being a kid, and now he's
- 6:29Speaker 8: got trauma for twenty years.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Yeah, anything after gen X it doesn't really speak to
- 6:35Speaker 4: because that I mean, that's that's when all the digital
- 6:38Speaker 4: age of the Internet, the social media stuff all started.
- 6:40Speaker 4: It really was the last and a lot of generation
- 6:43Speaker 4: of just how things used to be.
- 6:45Speaker 9: Like I agree with what you read. A lot of
- 6:46Speaker 9: that stuff is just factual. If you missed a show,
- 6:48Speaker 9: you missed the show. If you didn't tape it, you
- 6:49Speaker 9: couldn't tape it. He didn't have it anymore, and there.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Was no spoiler watch it. Like people just talked about
- 6:54Speaker 4: it the next day. And that was part of like
- 6:55Speaker 4: the cool thing, part of the reason that you wanted
- 6:57Speaker 4: to make sure that you watched it because to be
- 7:00Speaker 4: part of that conversation in the next day.
- 7:01Speaker 9: And the thing that I I don't want to say
- 7:04Speaker 9: disagree with but don't like and you know, I'm just
- 7:06Speaker 9: very nitpicky person. No, it says we suffered heartbreak in
- 7:10Speaker 9: private and we didn't have you know, we weren't humiliated
- 7:13Speaker 9: in front of millions. That's your own doing. If you're
- 7:16Speaker 9: at the hospital and posting about it, then that's your problem.
- 7:20Speaker 9: You can still live that way where you have private
- 7:22Speaker 9: moments you have to post every damn tape in the world.
- 7:27Speaker 4: I think maybe that's is that talking about if somebody
- 7:30Speaker 4: else is videotaping you, like you're just somewhere, like maybe
- 7:32Speaker 4: you're super drunk and doing something sure that you shouldn't
- 7:35Speaker 4: be doing, or you know, you're you're having a bad day.
- 7:38Speaker 9: Yeah, but a lot of people now just love yeah
- 7:41Speaker 9: posting every last negative it's your fault.
- 7:46Speaker 4: I'll make sure that that's a that's on our Instagram story.
- 7:49Speaker 4: You could because all the videos and all the stuff
- 7:51Speaker 4: that they're showing from all the different things, a lot
- 7:52Speaker 4: of MTV stuff in there, obviously, because that's the generation,
- 7:55Speaker 4: but a lot of different things. You're like, oh my god,
- 7:57Speaker 4: I totally forgot about oh and you really, dude, just
- 8:00Speaker 4: get it just washes over you that whole like kind
- 8:03Speaker 4: of really cool nostalgia first.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Like nineties was cool. But Greg, you agree, maybe woody
- 8:09Speaker 3: eighties dude, but.
- 8:12Speaker 4: I really lived the nineties more as like a like
- 8:14Speaker 4: a like a teenager and young adult, right like, whereas
- 8:18Speaker 4: the eighties I was just like a kid kid, you know.
- 8:20Speaker 3: But it was just like like that analog digital thing,
- 8:24Speaker 3: and everything was exciting, excess like the Walkman was exciting.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Comedies were huge.
- 8:30Speaker 4: Yeah, eight seven, seven forty four, Woody hit us up
- 8:34Speaker 4: on this throwback Thursday. On the text over to two
- 8:36Speaker 4: to nine eight seven. We'll take a quick break more
- 8:39Speaker 4: Woody shows.

- 9:29Speaker 3: Seven seven forty four.
- 9:30Speaker 4: What he is the phone number if you want to
- 9:32Speaker 4: be part of things here on this Thursday edition of
- 9:36Speaker 4: The Woodie Show.
- 9:37Speaker 3: We also got the text You can send your text
- 9:39Speaker 3: over to two two.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Nine eight seven.
- 9:45Speaker 3: So what we got In the world of entertainment.
- 9:48Speaker 4: I'm thoroughly sick of seeing all this stuff about MTV
- 9:52Speaker 4: shutting down. It was such a nothing story because it
- 9:55Speaker 4: didn't really happen. Guys, turn on the TV. MTV is
- 9:58Speaker 4: still there as it has been, in its current form,
- 10:01Speaker 4: not its original forms, the videos and everything. Everybody everybody
- 10:05Speaker 4: talking about MTV shutting down and going away was just
- 10:08Speaker 4: for a handful of the music video channels that they
- 10:11Speaker 4: had in other countries.
- 10:14Speaker 3: That was it, yea, And everyone kept on spreading and now.
- 10:19Speaker 4: There's finally like some just what we've been talking about
- 10:21Speaker 4: there's finally some articles coming out going, hey guys, everybody,
- 10:24Speaker 4: take it easy. And by the way, the video channels
- 10:28Speaker 4: are still on in the States, you know, and which
- 10:33Speaker 4: everyone the only time I've ever I feel like I've
- 10:35Speaker 4: ever seen any of those video channels. Like when I
- 10:37Speaker 4: go to Mexico, they'll have a couple of the MTV
- 10:40Speaker 4: music channels channel. Yeah, but do we have that on
- 10:43Speaker 4: like on a direct TV somewheah. But a new website
- 10:50Speaker 4: has launched a service to replace MTV for the people
- 10:53Speaker 4: who want something like this. It's a it's a site
- 10:57Speaker 4: created by fans called MTV re Want, and it features
- 11:01Speaker 4: a ton of content from the archives throughout the history
- 11:04Speaker 4: of MTV. So as of now, they've got like twenty
- 11:08Speaker 4: seven thousand classic music videos, vintage commercials, which could be
- 11:12Speaker 4: kind of cool. And it's organized into multiple channels and
- 11:15Speaker 4: it takes viewers on a chronological journey and so it's
- 11:18Speaker 4: like like Headbanger's Ball and Ricky Raman, Yeah, just different
- 11:22Speaker 4: stuff like that. There's a message on the top of
- 11:24Speaker 4: the website says, MTV rewind will be free forever without ads.
- 11:28Speaker 4: But yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Surely I think you can aggregate that without getting a
- 11:35Speaker 3: cecyin assist as as long as you're not hosting it,
- 11:38Speaker 3: you can probably have it linked to where all the
- 11:41Speaker 3: content is available. Like with the AI. I was talking
- 11:44Speaker 3: about this off the air the other day. With a
- 11:46Speaker 3: new AI coding of websites, you can actually make websites
- 11:50Speaker 3: that will have this content where you don't actually own it.
- 11:53Speaker 3: I'll just go to the owners of the content.
- 11:56Speaker 7: Well, as long as I get my OO MTV wraps.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, I think that's on there too.
- 12:02Speaker 9: What music videos playing in the background, you're just hanging out.
- 12:05Speaker 9: Go to my favorite platform, Amazon, Hello, Amazon YouTube.
- 12:10Speaker 11: That's an interesting part like the original program. It would
- 12:12Speaker 11: be the interesting part of the.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Little Get the vintage commercials. That'd be pretty cool.
- 12:19Speaker 12: Uh.
- 12:19Speaker 4: You know what I watched, you guys, speaking of entertainment,
- 12:22Speaker 4: I watched the Chevy Chase documentary.
- 12:26Speaker 7: As big of an a hole as you thought.
- 12:27Speaker 13: He was.
- 12:28Speaker 4: My wife and I watched together. I don't hate him.
- 12:32Speaker 4: I I kind of feel like he is misunderstood and
- 12:37Speaker 4: that was something that was kind of brought up. And
- 12:38Speaker 4: he doesn't like that. Like I'm not missing he said,
- 12:41Speaker 4: I'm not misunderstood. Yeah, I just don't know, like watch it.
- 12:45Speaker 4: I'd be interested to see what you guys think.
- 12:47Speaker 3: I would watch.
- 12:48Speaker 4: It's on CNN streaming app so like it that's free
- 12:52Speaker 4: and you that the the ads that pop up and
- 12:55Speaker 4: stuff like that. But it's fine. It's not that bad.
- 12:57Speaker 4: It's like an hour and a half. I thought it
- 12:59Speaker 4: was really interesting. I'm not other than I liked the
- 13:03Speaker 4: Vacation movies. I don't never really thought much about Chevy
- 13:06Speaker 4: Chase one way or the other. But you hear the
- 13:08Speaker 4: stories about like what a impossible you know dick he is.
- 13:13Speaker 4: But when when you watch this, you kind of see
- 13:16Speaker 4: how when you know people say things, they don't necessarily
- 13:19Speaker 4: mean them. And my wife's take away from it is that, like, dude,
- 13:22Speaker 4: it's it's Chevy Chase. He's joking around, like yeah, like
- 13:26Speaker 4: I like, I don't think people are picking up on
- 13:28Speaker 4: the joke there the stuff that he does or says
- 13:31Speaker 4: or whatever, like he's saying it in a way that
- 13:34Speaker 4: is like you know, you know, like even when you
- 13:37Speaker 4: watch his movie sometimes, like when Clark Griswold would say
- 13:40Speaker 4: something like does.
- 13:42Speaker 3: He mean it? Or is he being almost like a character.
- 13:45Speaker 4: I know, I'm not describing it all that great.
- 13:47Speaker 3: I know I'm getting what you're saying. I yeah, that
- 13:50Speaker 3: was my takeaway. I don't think that's the case. There
- 13:52Speaker 3: was a clip that was my takeaway.
- 13:53Speaker 7: There's a clip I've seen where the woman the interviewer,
- 13:56Speaker 7: is interviewing him and he's like, well, I don't think
- 13:57Speaker 7: you're going to get it. You're not very bright. And
- 13:59Speaker 7: everyone was clutching their pearls. But that does seem like
- 14:01Speaker 7: something Chevy Chase would say.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Yeah, and when you watch it in its full context,
- 14:05Speaker 4: you can kind of see, like, you know, like he was.
- 14:08Speaker 9: I don't, I don't.
- 14:08Speaker 4: I don't think he was. I don't think it was
- 14:10Speaker 4: all that serious. Yeah, exactly, you know, watch watch it
- 14:15Speaker 4: and let me know what you think. I will And
- 14:17Speaker 4: because my wife and I both came away with that
- 14:19Speaker 4: that take on it.
- 14:21Speaker 11: Now, but he's he produced this documentary right or City. Well,
- 14:24Speaker 11: because he's doing or else, why would he be doing
- 14:25Speaker 11: all these interviews for it?
- 14:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I heard that he was. I don't know. I'm
- 14:30Speaker 3: not why he didn't like have a filter on it.
- 14:34Speaker 4: You know who was who was interview was Kevin Smith.
- 14:36Speaker 4: He was in there a bunch of different people and
- 14:39Speaker 4: there and there was one guy. I think he was
- 14:41Speaker 4: one of the directors or something on Community And at
- 14:45Speaker 4: some point blank they said, like would you work him again?
- 14:46Speaker 4: He's like, uh, yes, oh absolutely, I would totally work
- 14:50Speaker 4: with him again. Like he's like, it's it's Chevy Chase
- 14:53Speaker 4: and part of it and not to go back and
- 14:55Speaker 4: get all weird and you know, uh like all like
- 14:57Speaker 4: a therapist or whatever. But they were talking about how,
- 15:01Speaker 4: you know, his mom was very like abusive and like,
- 15:05Speaker 4: you know, being verbally and kind of physically abusive when
- 15:07Speaker 4: he was like this kid, there's always one kid in
- 15:09Speaker 4: the family who kind of seems to take the brunt
- 15:10Speaker 4: of it, and he was that kid for his family,
- 15:13Speaker 4: and how a lot of people you know, respond to
- 15:16Speaker 4: things or whatever in their life with humor, Like they
- 15:19Speaker 4: instead of showing that they're angry or hurt or whatever,
- 15:21Speaker 4: they'll make jokes. And you can see even when things
- 15:23Speaker 4: come up in the context of interviewing him, when things
- 15:26Speaker 4: start to get uncomfortable, is when he all of a
- 15:27Speaker 4: sudden snaps into a joke.
- 15:29Speaker 3: You could tell he responds.
- 15:30Speaker 4: And they were talking about how just in comedy, a
- 15:32Speaker 4: lot like that all of these comedians are damaged people,
- 15:36Speaker 4: and that was like their That was their response to quote.
- 15:39Speaker 4: And again this sounds so hippie dippy, but trauma was,
- 15:42Speaker 4: uh yeah.
- 15:43Speaker 7: I just at eighty two years old, he's still not
- 15:46Speaker 7: blaming mommy.
- 15:47Speaker 3: No, no, he was. He wasn't at all.
- 15:49Speaker 4: They were asking him questions about this stuff and he
- 15:51Speaker 4: was and the way he was kind of talking about
- 15:53Speaker 4: matter of fact, you know, matter of fact.
- 15:55Speaker 11: This is a great example that certainly I could learn
- 15:58Speaker 11: from continue to is that there are certain guys and
- 16:01Speaker 11: girls who can do this and get away with it.
- 16:04Speaker 11: Norm MacDonald would go on the view and crap all
- 16:07Speaker 11: over those women, and he was charming and love Yes, obviously,
- 16:10Speaker 11: you know you go back to like the Don Rickles
- 16:12Speaker 11: of the world. That was certainly a character. But he
- 16:15Speaker 11: you know, Lisa Lampinelli, they would just crap on people.
- 16:17Speaker 11: And there's there's ways of doing it.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Queen of Me, you can do it without being a dick.
- 16:21Speaker 11: Well let's you know, say, you could say it being
- 16:24Speaker 11: the same things, but it's it's it doesn't It's also like,
- 16:27Speaker 11: why is this person ought to say this person's note.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Because the way that they say yeah.
- 16:32Speaker 14: I've always thought though that Chevy J's publicly is very funny.
- 16:35Speaker 14: I thought it was more of behind the scenes stuff
- 16:37Speaker 14: that we were not seeing that he was.
- 16:39Speaker 6: A true a hole.
- 16:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:40Speaker 6: Yeah, they kicked him off community.
- 16:42Speaker 7: And his roast the whole The whole joke was they
- 16:44Speaker 7: couldn't get anyone good to roast him because nobody's talking
- 16:46Speaker 7: to him.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Yeah he did.
- 16:49Speaker 4: He did a lot of cocaine, so there was a
- 16:52Speaker 4: lot of that, I mean, erratic behavior and things like that,
- 16:54Speaker 4: which is, you know, he takes the thing. He seems
- 16:56Speaker 4: to take accountability for a lot of it. Watch watch it.
- 16:59Speaker 4: Let me know what you say. I thought it was
- 17:00Speaker 4: really good. I'm Chevy Chase and you're not. Just download
- 17:02Speaker 4: the CNN app and you can watch. It's got no
- 17:05Speaker 4: paywall or anything. Just to go ahead and check it out. Gina,
- 17:09Speaker 4: what you got?
- 17:10Speaker 7: Well, Travis Kelsey's given a big old sign that he
- 17:13Speaker 7: is not ready to walk away from football because everybody's
- 17:15Speaker 7: been asking about that. He did it on his New
- 17:17Speaker 7: Heights podcast. He said he expects to come back for
- 17:20Speaker 7: another NFL season as long as his body feels good
- 17:23Speaker 7: enough to handle it. He even joked that he's jobless
- 17:25Speaker 7: right now as he waits out free agency, and he
- 17:28Speaker 7: told his brother Jason that if he can fully recover,
- 17:30Speaker 7: he would come back without hesitation, and Kelsey says, the
- 17:33Speaker 7: chiefs know how he feels no secret and his love
- 17:36Speaker 7: for the game hasn't changed even after not making the playoffs.
- 17:38Speaker 7: So yeah, he sounds like he's leaning toward one more run.
- 17:42Speaker 7: So I'm sure people are betting on that. And you
- 17:45Speaker 7: know the movie megan like horror movies. Yeah, okay, So
- 17:50Speaker 7: the people behind that movie are being sued by this
- 17:53Speaker 7: former airline pilot and amateur filmmaker because he claims that
- 17:58Speaker 7: they copied all of his idea is from a twenty
- 18:00Speaker 7: twelve film he called Paranormal Adoption, and he says both
- 18:04Speaker 7: stories focus on a young orphan who becomes attached to
- 18:07Speaker 7: a doll that turns violent towards anyone who gets in
- 18:09Speaker 7: the way, and that both films end in a way
- 18:12Speaker 7: that sets up sequels, and he says there's a reasonable
- 18:15Speaker 7: possibility that the filmmakers had access to his work and
- 18:19Speaker 7: pointed at all these past interesting industry connections rather that
- 18:24Speaker 7: you know with these like creepy doll officionados, that there
- 18:27Speaker 7: is definitely a connection there. He's suing Universal and Blumhouse
- 18:31Speaker 7: for five million dollars.
- 18:33Speaker 4: So these ones were Sea Bass went to that that real.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Are not real?
- 18:42Speaker 15: Real doll sounds like this is like a second life,
- 18:47Speaker 15: the ones, the ones that uh okay, reborn second life.
- 18:54Speaker 14: Second I'll say, I looked up this paranormal adoption movie
- 18:58Speaker 14: and the.
- 18:58Speaker 6: Doll in this is horrified.
- 19:00Speaker 7: Oh, I want to see it so.
- 19:01Speaker 6: Creepy and like looks not legit at all.
- 19:04Speaker 3: I check it out. Man, it's what you got. Well,
- 19:08Speaker 3: if you don't know all the celebrities and billionaires, where
- 19:11Speaker 3: they go for New Year's is Saint Bart's. And there's
- 19:14Speaker 3: a little update because, well, first off, Saint Barts there's
- 19:18Speaker 3: so many yachts that go there. They had over ten
- 19:20Speaker 3: billion dollars worth of yachts. Jeff bezos yacht is five
- 19:24Speaker 3: hundred million dollars alone. So Tom Brady was there, Leonardo
- 19:28Speaker 3: DiCaprio is there. But now that we have separated from
- 19:30Speaker 3: New year for a little while, it comes to find
- 19:33Speaker 3: out it was a super spreader event for chlamydia. So
- 19:37Speaker 3: I looked it up, and I guess chlamydia signs start
- 19:42Speaker 3: like a week to three weeks after events. And then
- 19:45Speaker 3: they also said it was a bacterial infection super spread
- 19:49Speaker 3: and our friend Bethany Frankel face with ye jack from me. Yeah,
- 19:54Speaker 3: so clamydia. No, I think she has the bacterial Oh yeah,
- 20:00Speaker 3: she had the bacterial infection. Let's not this chlymdia. Oh okay, okay,
- 20:04Speaker 3: I see yeah, chlamydia. I didn't know one to three weeks.
- 20:07Speaker 6: Well, but chlamydia is a bacterial infection.
- 20:09Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying.
- 20:10Speaker 11: It is.
- 20:10Speaker 9: Yeah, and I've never had it. Sea beast.
- 20:12Speaker 3: That was going to really.
- 20:15Speaker 7: Somebody from one direction say they claim they got chlymydia
- 20:17Speaker 7: from touching a koala bear. That was like a big thing.
- 20:20Speaker 3: No, you say you can get that, you can get
- 20:23Speaker 3: Oh maybe that mdia thought, oh she.
- 20:28Speaker 9: Got something caught my eye because it is related to food.
- 20:31Speaker 9: If you've ever watched the Food Network, you'd probably heard
- 20:34Speaker 9: of The Pioneer Woman. She's that redhead who lives on
- 20:37Speaker 9: a ranch with her family and she makes, you know,
- 20:40Speaker 9: recipes for the camera biscuits. So she's got a book
- 20:43Speaker 9: out where she talks about her least favorite recipes she
- 20:46Speaker 9: ever made on an episode of The Pioneer Woman, and
- 20:49Speaker 9: to me it sounds awesome. Chicken strip, pizza great. So
- 20:52Speaker 9: behind the scenes she said that they have enough groceries
- 20:55Speaker 9: and ingredients to make a dish four times, but in
- 20:58Speaker 9: this case, they only had enough to make this one.
- 21:00Speaker 9: And she used frozen chicken strips, so she baked him
- 21:03Speaker 9: put them on top of a pizza and then topped
- 21:05Speaker 9: it with coleslaw and pickles and this kind of special sauce.
- 21:09Speaker 9: And she said it was the worst thing ever. She
- 21:11Speaker 9: thought it would look good on TV, and she said
- 21:13Speaker 9: she was just wrong on the looks and the taste
- 21:15Speaker 9: and it sucked chicken strip pizza.
- 21:17Speaker 11: To me, it sounds I'm looking at the video of
- 21:20Speaker 11: her doing it, it looks fun.
- 21:22Speaker 3: I mean it looks like, Yeah.
- 21:25Speaker 4: We're also talking about like a food person, right, so
- 21:28Speaker 4: they're gonna be more harsh on that, but it's like there.
- 21:30Speaker 9: She is way more like down home normal food, not
- 21:34Speaker 9: like a food eat.
- 21:36Speaker 6: She's the one with the pans in the Walmart.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, Greg, we got a text here. It says
- 21:44Speaker 4: Greg has made it known that he believes Prime Video
- 21:47Speaker 4: is the top tier streaming app and obviously his favorite.
- 21:52Speaker 4: So I would like him to watch the pilot of
- 21:54Speaker 4: the new series Fallout based on the video game. Reason
- 21:57Speaker 4: being is because I grew up playing the game, and
- 22:00Speaker 4: my wife didn't and she refuses to play games, but
- 22:03Speaker 4: she is in love with this show. So I want
- 22:06Speaker 4: to see what Greg thinks about it. And then if
- 22:08Speaker 4: you want, you can call it boomer vision or you
- 22:10Speaker 4: can just ignore this and I'll cry myself to sleep. Okay,
- 22:13Speaker 4: So just a you know, Greg like a bad stuff,
- 22:15Speaker 4: a great show.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Hate hate hate hate hate hate.
- 22:19Speaker 11: Hate it because it's very sci fi. Yeah, it's like
- 22:22Speaker 11: just Marvel adjacent.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:24Speaker 11: Greg isn't going to do with video. That's that's a genre.
- 22:26Speaker 11: Greg will not.
- 22:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it doesn't care about it doesn't matter if it's Amazon.
- 22:29Speaker 4: I'm not gonna about it. Okay, Well, hey what retro though?
- 22:33Speaker 4: We asked people to send us what they got and
- 22:35Speaker 4: they wanted maybe Greg to.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Check it out. Maybe I will, Yeah, maybe will.

- 25:49Speaker 4: you know what I mean, Greg had his procedure done.
- 25:51Speaker 3: God the results.
- 25:53Speaker 4: At the same time, we're talking about doing that thing
- 25:56Speaker 4: with dumbass Tyler at an eye hoop for all, you
- 25:58Speaker 4: can get pancakes for twenty four hours, So we still
- 26:01Speaker 4: got that dog in us.
- 26:02Speaker 16: Yeah, I.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Get the bro.
- 26:08Speaker 4: Glow stuff that I still haven't tried that really like
- 26:12Speaker 4: a year. I did you want me to bring it in?
- 26:13Speaker 4: You could try it.
- 26:14Speaker 3: I deluxe stuff having that type of stuff on my skin.
- 26:18Speaker 4: And we were talking about, you know, the twenty four
- 26:21Speaker 4: hours at a diner or an eyehopper or whatever being
- 26:23Speaker 4: one of the bigger punishments for people's fantasy league losers.
- 26:27Speaker 4: You know, Now there is this one dude who is
- 26:33Speaker 4: the worst in his fantasy league and his punishment here
- 26:35Speaker 4: it is, he's going to be eating hot dogs for
- 26:38Speaker 4: every single meal until he matches the record number of
- 26:42Speaker 4: hot dogs eaten by Joey Chestnut.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Oh, no, number seventy one.
- 26:47Speaker 4: So for every meal, the only thing he can eat
- 26:50Speaker 4: hot dogs until he eats seventy one hot dogs.
- 26:54Speaker 3: That's a lot. Well, Tyler has for a week, then
- 26:57Speaker 3: nine hot dogs in yeah nine challenge, and I like
- 27:01Speaker 3: that multiple times.
- 27:02Speaker 8: I like the idea of this, But who is with
- 27:03Speaker 8: this man twenty four to seven to make sure he's
- 27:05Speaker 8: not cheating?
- 27:06Speaker 9: I mean, I don't know.
- 27:07Speaker 11: It's like any other silly This is a moment fantasy football.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Yeah, this is a challenge I would do.
- 27:13Speaker 4: I think, Look, if you're down with your bros that
- 27:15Speaker 4: you're doing your fantasy football although honor them, you guys.
- 27:18Speaker 4: Guess guess who won their fantasy league? Menace Sammy.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Guess.
- 27:22Speaker 4: I'm gonna throw this out there. Does anybody think it's
- 27:27Speaker 4: weird that Sammy wins her fantasy league the same year
- 27:30Speaker 4: she gets a boyfriend for the first time in a
- 27:31Speaker 4: long time.
- 27:32Speaker 6: He doesn't know.
- 27:33Speaker 9: I was going to say, I don't.
- 27:34Speaker 19: I don't.
- 27:35Speaker 9: I mean, I don't even know him. But he's a
- 27:36Speaker 9: big think he's a kid.
- 27:39Speaker 6: No, he's a baseball fan, but he's not no football.
- 27:42Speaker 6: He doesn't play fantasy.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Who were your workhorses this year?
- 27:46Speaker 6: It was so I had.
- 27:48Speaker 14: What I did was I kept Party on the bench
- 27:50Speaker 14: while he was injured.
- 27:52Speaker 6: Yeah, Brock Party. It was mostly forty nine ers, So
- 27:54Speaker 6: I kept rock Party on the bench.
- 27:56Speaker 14: So when he came back, he was really strong for me.
- 27:58Speaker 14: Because I held him. I have McCaffrey, she held him,
- 28:04Speaker 14: and I did have Kittle, who was great, and then
- 28:07Speaker 14: when he got injured, I put in his back up
- 28:10Speaker 14: for that last game, who ended up doing great. And
- 28:14Speaker 14: in that final championship game, I had the Eagles defense
- 28:17Speaker 14: who did great for me.
- 28:19Speaker 6: And yeah, I just came out really strong.
- 28:21Speaker 9: And what's the prize?
- 28:24Speaker 6: This is just no, it's just my family league. So
- 28:26Speaker 6: I get the trophy.
- 28:26Speaker 14: We have a Marino League family Trophy. I will get
- 28:30Speaker 14: that for the years.
- 28:33Speaker 11: Yeah, family league is less impressive, but it's still yeah,
- 28:37Speaker 11: yeah take it.
- 28:38Speaker 4: Eight seven seven forty four. Wooding sent us a text

- 29:05Speaker 4: forty four Wooding. You can says the text if you like,
- 29:08Speaker 4: over to two two nine eighty seven. You shall also
- 29:10Speaker 4: find us and follow us. Look for us on social media.
- 29:13Speaker 4: You can find us there at the Woody Show. And uh,
- 29:17Speaker 4: let's check in with Gina grad She's got the trending
- 29:19Speaker 4: news headlines.
- 29:20Speaker 7: Well thirty seven year old woman was shot and killed
- 29:22Speaker 7: yesterday after she allegedly tried to run over an ICE
- 29:25Speaker 7: agent in Minneapolis. The agents were out doing an operation
- 29:28Speaker 7: in the city, and protesters gathered to try and keep
- 29:30Speaker 7: them from doing that. Video of the incident shows the
- 29:32Speaker 7: woman using her car to block the road before agents
- 29:35Speaker 7: got out of their truck and tried to pull the
- 29:37Speaker 7: woman's door open pull her out of the car. She
- 29:40Speaker 7: tried to escape, but she drove toward another agent in
- 29:42Speaker 7: front of the car, who fired his weapon shot her
- 29:44Speaker 7: in the head. White House leaders were quick to blame
- 29:47Speaker 7: the shooting on the woman trying to run the agent over,
- 29:50Speaker 7: but leaders in Minnesota are fighting back, saying it was
- 29:52Speaker 7: the agent's fault. Things kept escalating, though, after Minneapolis's mayor
- 29:57Speaker 7: told Ice to get the f out of the city.
- 30:00Speaker 7: Minnesota Governor Tim Walls called the ICE operations a threat
- 30:03Speaker 7: to public safety and said that he has issued a
- 30:06Speaker 7: warning that he'll deploy the Minnesota National Guard if necessary.
- 30:09Speaker 7: What a mess, I know, it's crazy. Well, Nick Reiner
- 30:13Speaker 7: went back to court yesterday and even though he was
- 30:15Speaker 7: expected to enter a plea that didn't happen. Reiner's we
- 30:18Speaker 7: know it was charged with two counts of first degree
- 30:20Speaker 7: murder in the deaths of his parents, Robin Michelle. But
- 30:22Speaker 7: the big news from the hearing was that his big
- 30:25Speaker 7: time attorney, Alan Jackson stepped away from the case. Jackson
- 30:29Speaker 7: said he had to withdraw because of issues beyond his
- 30:32Speaker 7: and Reiner's control, money and can no longer represent him.
- 30:36Speaker 7: Before leaving, Jackson said that under California law, Reiner's not
- 30:40Speaker 7: guilty of murder and wished him well. Reiner agreed to
- 30:43Speaker 7: delay the arraignment and a schedule back in court at
- 30:45Speaker 7: the end of February.
- 30:47Speaker 3: It's got to be money, right, yeah, yeah, ye, the money.
- 30:50Speaker 7: Because that's the things like who is who's paying? Like
- 30:53Speaker 7: if I was like his sister, I'd be like, you're
- 30:55Speaker 7: on your own.
- 30:56Speaker 14: Oh, his sister's the one who totally righted about to
- 30:58Speaker 14: begin with, was like, go find my brother.
- 31:00Speaker 7: Exactly exactly.
- 31:02Speaker 5: Well.
- 31:03Speaker 7: The Department of Health and Human Services rolled out new
- 31:05Speaker 7: federal dietary guidelines yesterday, and they now want people to
- 31:09Speaker 7: focus on whole foods like fruits and vegetables, eat healthy fats,
- 31:12Speaker 7: get enough protein, cut back on highly processed foods refined carbs,
- 31:15Speaker 7: so all those grains and breads that used to be
- 31:18Speaker 7: on the big base of that pyramid. Now they're just
- 31:20Speaker 7: a tiny little point to the bottom people.
- 31:24Speaker 4: Have been talking about for Yeah, this is really the way,
- 31:26Speaker 4: like the proteins, fresh vegetables.
- 31:30Speaker 3: That's the subject.
- 31:31Speaker 7: And it's so funny because you know, the HHS says
- 31:34Speaker 7: that this is revolutionizing food culture, but they're just following
- 31:37Speaker 7: the trend, and it seems like the trend's going in
- 31:39Speaker 7: the right direction anyway.
- 31:41Speaker 13: Uh.
- 31:41Speaker 7: And here's something Greg will like, the new guidelines alcohol.
- 31:45Speaker 9: Yeah, but I didn't get the details.
- 31:48Speaker 7: Okay, well, this the language on alcohol moderation rather than
- 31:52Speaker 7: specific drink limits like no more than half a glass
- 31:55Speaker 7: of wine per day. But like now it's just kind
- 31:56Speaker 7: of loosey goosey, like they've said in the past, this
- 31:59Speaker 7: is just very this is very vague.
- 32:02Speaker 3: Now.
- 32:02Speaker 7: Doctor Oz spoke during a press conference. He had this
- 32:05Speaker 7: to say about booth.
- 32:06Speaker 3: You know, government official, right.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Alcohol is a social lubricant that brings people together. In
- 32:13Speaker 1: the best case scenario, I don't think you should drink alcohol,
- 32:16Speaker 1: but it does allow people an excuse to bond and socialize,
- 32:20Speaker 1: and there's probably nothing healthier. They're having a good time
- 32:22Speaker 1: with friends in a safe way. If you look at
- 32:23Speaker 1: the blue zones, for example, around the world, whe people
- 32:26Speaker 1: live the longest, alcohol is sometimes part of their diet. Again,
- 32:29Speaker 1: small amounts, but the implication is don't have it for breakfast.
- 32:33Speaker 1: There should be something done a small amount with, hopefully
- 32:36Speaker 1: in some kind of an event that may have alcohol
- 32:38Speaker 1: add it. But they generally move away from two glasses
- 32:41Speaker 1: of men one glass to wind. There was never really
- 32:43Speaker 1: good data to support that that quantity of alcohol consumption.
- 32:47Speaker 9: And the term glass is relative.
- 32:53Speaker 4: Serving size.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Yeah, but you didn't notice what he said there. He
- 32:56Speaker 3: said at an event, not at your home.
- 32:58Speaker 9: Greg, Well, being at home is an event.
- 33:01Speaker 7: Yeah, when you're an alcoholic, like, everything's an event.
- 33:04Speaker 9: And I'm not having it for breakfast unless it's brunt.
- 33:06Speaker 7: And he said, no breakfast, So you're fine.
- 33:08Speaker 2: I'm good.
- 33:09Speaker 7: Well, there's a new law now in effect in Utah
- 33:11Speaker 7: that cracks down even harder on drunk driving. Anyone charged
- 33:15Speaker 7: with an extreme DUI that means a blood alcohol level
- 33:18Speaker 7: of zero point sixteen or higher, they can be banned
- 33:21Speaker 7: from buying alcohol at all. And how does that work. Well,
- 33:24Speaker 7: those offenders will be labeled as interdited and given a
- 33:27Speaker 7: new state ID that says no alcohol sale in big
- 33:31Speaker 7: letters on their ID, oh may.
- 33:33Speaker 4: Which on the surface sounds like, okay, not a bad idea, right,
- 33:38Speaker 4: they're trying to be helpful. Sure, but we think about it, Greg,
- 33:41Speaker 4: If you walked into a store today and let's say
- 33:43Speaker 4: you had that on your license because you got busted, Gee,
- 33:46Speaker 4: what could I do? Are they checking your ID?
- 33:48Speaker 10: Now?
- 33:48Speaker 3: You don't look like somebody who's.
- 33:50Speaker 4: Under underage exactly, so they're not even gonna look at
- 33:53Speaker 4: it in the first places.
- 33:54Speaker 9: And even if they did, look at everybody's ID. Have
- 33:57Speaker 9: your wife get it, have your husband get it, have your.
- 33:59Speaker 3: Friend, there's no way around it. Sugarnout plants at some point.
- 34:07Speaker 7: Well, of course, the goals to crack down on DUI
- 34:09Speaker 7: crashes and deaths. And considering that Utah is already very
- 34:12Speaker 7: religious and very dry when it comes to alcohol, a
- 34:15Speaker 7: lot of people are for this laws, so we'll see
- 34:17Speaker 7: if it helps. And finally, a teenager in North Carolina
- 34:20Speaker 7: was out with his friends late at night and decided
- 34:22Speaker 7: to do a little good old fashioned ding dong ditch prank. Well,
- 34:26Speaker 7: they went up to a house, hit the doorbell, took off.
- 34:28Speaker 7: The owner of the house was woken up and being
- 34:30Speaker 7: that it was super late at night, he grabbed his
- 34:32Speaker 7: gun see what was going on. The teens made it
- 34:34Speaker 7: back to their car and were about to leave, but
- 34:36Speaker 7: the homeowner fired five shots at the car and hit
- 34:41Speaker 7: one of the Ding Dong ditchers in the leg. They
- 34:43Speaker 7: were all taking the hospital. They should be okay. The
- 34:45Speaker 7: homeowner turned himself in and he was charged with felony
- 34:48Speaker 7: assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill,
- 34:51Speaker 7: felony assault, and discharging weapon into an occupied vehicle. And
- 34:54Speaker 7: this is North Carolina.
- 34:56Speaker 4: I'm completely fine with somebody coming into your house and
- 34:59Speaker 4: you shoot at the but like, at what point, like
- 35:01Speaker 4: if someone just rings your doorbell and you open the
- 35:03Speaker 4: door because you've gotten that doorbell ring at an hour
- 35:07Speaker 4: that you weren't expecting one, right, You're like, it's kind
- 35:09Speaker 4: of late for somebody.
- 35:10Speaker 3: To be ringing the doorbell strapped.
- 35:12Speaker 4: Maybe it was that edible arrangement and somebody and they
- 35:15Speaker 4: just got you know, sorry, like the Griswold's bonus.
- 35:20Speaker 3: Seats.
- 35:20Speaker 4: You know it shows up later, But like, do you
- 35:23Speaker 4: answer the door and as you see people already leaving,
- 35:26Speaker 4: start to shoot at them.
- 35:27Speaker 7: Yeah, that's unang What do you deal with that?
- 35:29Speaker 3: Wants to use their gun.
- 35:30Speaker 7: I have answered the door.
- 35:32Speaker 3: You're wrong. I get it. Yeah, you get the desire.
- 35:34Speaker 7: I get the first step. I've answered the door in
- 35:36Speaker 7: my life twice with a gun, but I've never fired
- 35:40Speaker 7: it at a car.
- 35:40Speaker 4: Well here's the other thing. Who answers the door anymore?
- 35:44Speaker 4: It's not me, dude.
- 35:46Speaker 3: If you have ring my ring, I go, hey, what's up?
- 35:48Speaker 3: What you need?
- 35:49Speaker 4: I'll be I'll be sitting on my couch. The doorbell
- 35:52Speaker 4: will ring. I'm not getting up to to see who
- 35:54Speaker 4: it is. I grab my phone, I pull it up,
- 35:57Speaker 4: and I go.
- 35:59Speaker 7: They can drop off and leave.
- 36:01Speaker 4: If it's somebody, I'm like, oh, okay, I know what
- 36:02Speaker 4: that is. Hell on, man, I'll be right there.
- 36:04Speaker 9: My family room is right next to the front door,
- 36:06Speaker 9: so there's a sliding glass door, and then perpendicular to
- 36:08Speaker 9: that is the front door. People can see me when
- 36:11Speaker 9: they ring the doorbell.
- 36:12Speaker 3: And I still don't that is the worst thought.
- 36:15Speaker 9: I'm sleeping.
- 36:16Speaker 4: If it's you know, one of the neighborhood kids, for
- 36:18Speaker 4: one of my kids, I go, hey, the door.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not getting it on me. I don't know
- 36:23Speaker 3: if you updated it, but I just updated my front
- 36:28Speaker 3: doorbell with ring and they have the four K version.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Now it's so clear, it's like super sharp. Yeah, it
- 36:34Speaker 3: serves its purpose. I mean, you know, I'm not shooting
- 36:36Speaker 3: movies with my ring all them. Yeah, but it's like
- 36:40Speaker 3: insanely clear versus the previous model.
- 36:44Speaker 9: And anybody that has it can just update it.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Well, you have to get the new four.
- 36:49Speaker 4: Yeah, you have to get like a new piece of hardware.
- 36:52Speaker 4: You got to get a new actual ring doorbell.
- 36:54Speaker 7: I know what the Amazon guy looks like.
- 36:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, but I don't even have it set
- 36:58Speaker 4: up as notifications, so you don't I know. I mean,
- 37:01Speaker 4: I know Greg's got like the motion like he blows
- 37:06Speaker 4: by his front door. We'll be sitting here during the
- 37:09Speaker 4: show and like a leaf will, yeah, you'll blow by,
- 37:12Speaker 4: and he's looking at it. A b That got to
- 37:14Speaker 4: be a little too much. I turned all that crap off.
- 37:16Speaker 4: I don't care about that.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Yah.
- 37:18Speaker 4: And the only time I know that the doorbell rang
- 37:20Speaker 4: is if I'm home and then I open up the app.
- 37:23Speaker 4: It just doesn't automatically just show up.
- 37:25Speaker 9: I've got different ones driveway, front door, I have all.
- 37:27Speaker 7: Those, but the street ones annoying, Like I don't need
- 37:29Speaker 7: to know when a car drives by. But I'll see
- 37:30Speaker 7: if somebody comes to.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Don't We told you what I have is really cool
- 37:33Speaker 3: because you know, I have the Samsung fridge with the
- 37:35Speaker 3: screen on it. And somebody hits the doorbell, it automatically
- 37:39Speaker 3: pops up on the refrigerator.
- 37:41Speaker 4: Which is because most of the time Menace is in
- 37:43Speaker 4: the kitchen. Yeah, rules just hanging out.
- 37:46Speaker 3: In the kitchen. But you can do that when your
- 37:48Speaker 3: Amazon echoes the Echo Show and stuff like that.
- 37:51Speaker 4: You could do it with your TV, just on your
- 37:53Speaker 4: regular television. It'll show you. Now, I saw they have
- 37:56Speaker 4: something with maybe Apple TV where it'll show you who's calling.
- 38:01Speaker 19: Uh.
- 38:02Speaker 4: If the doorbell rings, it'll pop. The doorbell will pop
- 38:05Speaker 4: up on the TV. They have the Apple Home case
- 38:07Speaker 4: so you can see. You can see if you know,
- 38:10Speaker 4: the idea to get up and actually answer it.
- 38:12Speaker 7: But I don't be that connected.
- 38:13Speaker 3: No who does. But people are hot heads. Man.
- 38:16Speaker 4: There was just another story I was reading about this
- 38:18Speaker 4: guy in Vegas who hit up a KFC and got
- 38:24Speaker 4: his order. The problem was, I guess the gravy part
- 38:27Speaker 4: of his order was wrong, which you know, that's not
- 38:30Speaker 4: a good day. The gravy gets messed up at.
- 38:33Speaker 3: KFC, ohoy ruined anyway.
- 38:36Speaker 4: He's pissed, leaves the store, but then came back, argues
- 38:39Speaker 4: with the employee, leaves again, then comes back to complain
- 38:43Speaker 4: some more.
- 38:44Speaker 3: He did this in total.
- 38:45Speaker 7: Four times, okay.
- 38:48Speaker 4: Each time he came back. So the KFC employee, he
- 38:51Speaker 4: claims the guy you know, the customer claims that the
- 38:55Speaker 4: KFC employee was calling him names end quote, disrespecting him.
- 39:00Speaker 4: So the customer on that fourth and final you know,
- 39:03Speaker 4: return back to the story, brings his uncle with him.
- 39:06Speaker 4: He and the uncle go behind the count This is
- 39:08Speaker 4: over gravy behind the counter. One of them, and I'm
- 39:13Speaker 4: not sure which one did which, okay, but one of them,
- 39:15Speaker 4: either the guy or his uncle.
- 39:16Speaker 3: To grab on themselves to just go back there, grabs.
- 39:18Speaker 4: The guy in a choke hold while the other one
- 39:21Speaker 4: stabs him multiple times. It's sover gravy. The employee ended
- 39:26Speaker 4: up in the hospital. He's gonna be okay. But the
- 39:28Speaker 4: guy and his uncle both arrested charge with attempted murder.
- 39:30Speaker 4: You're gonna go to prison now because your gravy order
- 39:33Speaker 4: got messed up. And when you said something about it
- 39:36Speaker 4: like a psycho going in and out, in and out,
- 39:38Speaker 4: in and out.
- 39:39Speaker 3: Hey quote And I said, well.
- 39:41Speaker 4: Man, you disrespected Like what like, why are people so
- 39:45Speaker 4: sensitive about this?
- 39:46Speaker 3: You disrespected me?
- 39:49Speaker 9: You know too.
- 39:51Speaker 3: As a grown person.
- 39:52Speaker 4: I understanding when you're a young teenager, you know, stupid
- 39:55Speaker 4: and underdeveloped. Your brain's not your brain's not done cooking yet.
- 39:59Speaker 4: The two picks still comes out dirty.
- 40:01Speaker 9: Yes, but to respect you.
- 40:03Speaker 4: But as a grown ass adult someone quote disrespects you,
- 40:06Speaker 4: now you're gonna get into a physical fight or.
- 40:08Speaker 3: Trying to go get your uncle, and you're gonna.
- 40:10Speaker 7: Go stab the He was definitely looking to stab someone
- 40:14Speaker 7: that day.
- 40:14Speaker 4: Yeah, Like, what's going on? Why is everybody so on edge?
- 40:18Speaker 4: Shooting at the ding dong ditchers? Like relax? Good god,
- 40:24Speaker 4: well legal in most places.
- 40:26Speaker 7: Around you have an extra gravy and shut the door.
- 40:31Speaker 4: I'll get it.
- 40:31Speaker 7: Was it too lumpy?
- 40:32Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 40:33Speaker 4: Do they have different I mean it's been years since
- 40:35Speaker 4: I've been to a KFC. They have different types of gravy.
- 40:37Speaker 7: Now they they've brown and white.
- 40:41Speaker 4: Gravy game or for somebody maybe they were supposed to
- 40:44Speaker 4: be extra gravy or no gravy.
- 40:47Speaker 7: Well, you can't ungravy a potato, that's true.
- 40:50Speaker 4: You can always add more gravy. You can never take
- 40:52Speaker 4: the gravy away. Yeah, we're gonna take a quick break.
- 40:55Speaker 4: Phones are open if you want to be part of
- 40:56Speaker 4: the show eight seven seven forty four Wooding. You can
- 40:59Speaker 4: text us check in if you like, over to two
- 41:01Speaker 4: nine eight seven. Will be right back.
- 41:04Speaker 3: I'm not wearing a helmet. It's not gonna wear a helmet. Like,
- 41:07Speaker 3: straight up, you guys are idiots. What do you show about?
- 41:16Speaker 3: What do you show a mail call?
- 41:18Speaker 9: Let's do it.
- 41:18Speaker 4: We went through some of the after hours voicemails. This
- 41:24Speaker 4: is This is an actual piece of mail that we got.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Dumbass Tyler had this sitting on my desk when I
- 41:30Speaker 4: when I walked in, and uh, I was like, why
- 41:33Speaker 4: does this sound gets filled with powder?
- 41:35Speaker 3: Oh? Yeah, boy, who knows who this is? Is it
- 41:38Speaker 3: a box?
- 41:39Speaker 9: An envelope?
- 41:40Speaker 2: Huh?
- 41:41Speaker 9: Box or an envelope?
- 41:42Speaker 4: It was like one of those USPS mailer boxes, like
- 41:46Speaker 4: a smaller you know, like the smaller ones. Oh this
- 41:50Speaker 4: is what what the hell is inside?
- 41:54Speaker 3: That's like ashes? Ash?
- 41:55Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, okay, okay, let me read you, let me
- 41:58Speaker 4: let me read hold on dead fan, let me read you.
- 42:03Speaker 3: The letter.
- 42:05Speaker 4: The type says y enclosed in This package is diamond
- 42:11Speaker 4: bearing soil from the Crater of Diamonds State Okay, So
- 42:18Speaker 4: we've we've talked about this place about times over the
- 42:22Speaker 4: years because every once in a while there'll be a
- 42:24Speaker 4: story in the news about like, wow, visitor to the
- 42:27Speaker 4: Crater of Diamond State Park in Arkansas finds a two
- 42:29Speaker 4: or four carrot diamond and it would just it just
- 42:32Speaker 4: happened to be right on the top of the soil
- 42:34Speaker 4: like it like if you have this whole big lands
- 42:37Speaker 4: filled with diamonds and stuff and there's a two Like
- 42:39Speaker 4: how is he just sitting right there when there's daily
- 42:41Speaker 4: visitors because they turn it like the person Okay, but
- 42:44Speaker 4: even the guy who drags the plow or whatever it is,
- 42:49Speaker 4: they don't see it when they're like there's a two
- 42:51Speaker 4: carrot one, guys or whatever. Not a two care but
- 42:53Speaker 4: you have sometimes bigger one. Anyway, they go on. This
- 42:56Speaker 4: is from uh welder Will by the way, from Pond Creek, Oklahoma.
- 43:01Speaker 4: He's a fan in Pond Creek, Oklahoma. Says, well, it
- 43:04Speaker 4: looks like just dirt and rocks. I assure you it
- 43:06Speaker 4: is not. You could take a flash photo with your
- 43:09Speaker 4: camera on your phone and it will Fluoresce the diamonds O.
- 43:13Speaker 4: My wife and I spent a week at Hot Springs,
- 43:15Speaker 4: Arkansas two years ago. We ran out of things to
- 43:17Speaker 4: do after about three days, so I suggests that we
- 43:20Speaker 4: drive to Creter, a diamond state park for a day
- 43:22Speaker 4: of diamond hunting. It was a two hour drive to
- 43:24Speaker 4: get there. The park has a daily entrance fee and
- 43:27Speaker 4: they rent mining kits, which are wood boxes with wired
- 43:31Speaker 4: mesh on them to you know, screen down the soil.
- 43:33Speaker 4: There's also a museum and a gift shop, and this
- 43:36Speaker 4: is how they make their money entrance fees and mining
- 43:38Speaker 4: equipment rentals. We were there in the middle of the
- 43:41Speaker 4: week with nearly three hundred people there. They do have
- 43:44Speaker 4: an excellent campground and swimming pool. The mining era imagine
- 43:49Speaker 4: you go there on a vacation. Guys, the mining area
- 43:55Speaker 4: looks exactly like a plowed field. We are from rural Oklahoma,
- 43:58Speaker 4: and I know a plowed field when I see one.
- 44:01Speaker 4: There are a few covered gazebos where you can wash
- 44:03Speaker 4: your mining tools and your hands.
- 44:06Speaker 12: Uh.
- 44:06Speaker 4: There is an expert there that could judge your diamond fines,
- 44:09Speaker 4: and he looked bored out of his mind. Most of
- 44:13Speaker 4: the diamonds found there are here we go. Most of
- 44:15Speaker 4: the diamonds found there are industrial tool grades, so they're
- 44:18Speaker 4: useful for making cutting tools like concrete saw bits. Okay,
- 44:22Speaker 4: so we're not we're not talking about what you see it, Jared.
- 44:24Speaker 7: Yeah, it's not my engagement ring.
- 44:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like terrible diamonds.
- 44:28Speaker 4: I'm sure an expert did a business analysis and determine
- 44:31Speaker 4: that they can make more money charging entrance fees and
- 44:33Speaker 4: they could mining them and selling them at this grade.
- 44:36Speaker 3: There you go, diamonds.
- 44:37Speaker 4: See that that makes sense. But the way that the
- 44:40Speaker 4: articles and stuff when they write about these people finding
- 44:42Speaker 4: these big giants, like these people hit.
- 44:44Speaker 3: The lottery sparkly perfect when you talking about it.
- 44:46Speaker 4: Yes, they are raw, they are raw diamonds, but they
- 44:49Speaker 4: make it sound like they found like some raw diamond
- 44:51Speaker 4: that you're.
- 44:51Speaker 9: Gonna putting an a pendant or something. They usually spell
- 44:54Speaker 9: it out. It's kind of crappy diamonds and who cares.
- 44:57Speaker 7: Sounds fun.
- 44:58Speaker 4: We are preparing for a trip to Key West in
- 45:00Speaker 4: January for a marathon weekend. That sounds terrible too. I
- 45:04Speaker 4: was cleaning out a storage area and I found a
- 45:06Speaker 4: stash of rocks that I took from the park. They
- 45:09Speaker 4: allowed to take a five gallon bucket per day. We
- 45:11Speaker 4: were there for about fifteen minutes when my wife had
- 45:13Speaker 4: enough and started complaining. We left about a half hour later. Overall,
- 45:17Speaker 4: we would not recommend going.
- 45:19Speaker 12: Ah.
- 45:20Speaker 4: Fun, fun to say we went, but in reality not
- 45:23Speaker 4: much more exciting than an ordinary plowed field. So yeah,
- 45:27Speaker 4: we're getting a little insight in here. And I've been
- 45:29Speaker 4: listening to the show for several years and every time
- 45:31Speaker 4: it comes up in the news, I think about sending
- 45:33Speaker 4: you some diamond dirt. This was as good a time
- 45:36Speaker 4: as ever to do it. Thank you all for the
- 45:39Speaker 4: entertainment over the years. That's welder Will from Pond Creek,
- 45:42Speaker 4: Oklahoma's I thought the same thing when I opened up, like,
- 45:46Speaker 4: did somebody send us some ashes?
- 45:48Speaker 7: A person to use your flash or whatever?
- 45:50Speaker 4: And yeah, he says, if you use a flash photo
- 45:54Speaker 4: you know, the camera on your phone or whatever.
- 45:55Speaker 7: That does just look like dirty rocks.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I do have a question because is
- 46:00Speaker 3: I don't disagree. I'm sure Arkansas is beautiful, but why
- 46:03Speaker 3: is every person I've met from Arkansas like bat ish,
- 46:06Speaker 3: crazy or full of drama? And I know you spent
- 46:09Speaker 3: some time there, Morgan.
- 46:10Speaker 8: Yeah, I went to school there.
- 46:11Speaker 3: Yeah, do you agree or disagree with that?
- 46:14Speaker 8: I guess I agree. I was in the college town
- 46:16Speaker 8: of Fayville, so it was a little different. But it's
- 46:18Speaker 8: like meth heads everywhere, Like.
- 46:21Speaker 4: What kind of crazy are you talking about? Types of crazy? Like, so,
- 46:24Speaker 4: what kind of crazy are you talking about? It's a
- 46:26Speaker 4: very uneducated state, like the education in the state, like Alabama, Arkansas.
- 46:32Speaker 3: I know from there, just Louisiana to have like some
- 46:35Speaker 3: kind of drama going on in their life that's just
- 46:37Speaker 3: like over the top.
- 46:38Speaker 8: Maybe that's like a small town type of mentality. I
- 46:42Speaker 8: think that's maybe true, creating drama out of everything.
- 46:44Speaker 3: Yea, a method.
- 46:45Speaker 14: Yeah, the Duggers are from Arkansas, that's true.
- 46:50Speaker 4: County pedophile, never spending time in Arkansas, spent time in Alabama,
- 46:56Speaker 4: lived there for a bit.
- 46:57Speaker 3: It's beautiful in the fall, thieves change and all that.
- 47:00Speaker 8: Yeah, but it's boring, Like I get why these people
- 47:02Speaker 8: ran out of things to do until all right, yeah,
- 47:05Speaker 8: I mean for a second to see it.
- 47:08Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, yeah, exactly. Well maybe the trauma is their entertainment.
- 47:11Speaker 3: Since that's a great point.
- 47:13Speaker 9: Yeah, and like you said, after fifteen minutes, his wife
- 47:15Speaker 9: got bored and wanted to leave. There's two places I've
- 47:17Speaker 9: always wanted to go, but I think would be cool
- 47:19Speaker 9: for about a minute and a half. Mount Rushmore, but
- 47:23Speaker 9: after you see it, then what and then four Corners.
- 47:27Speaker 9: I think that I want to go to that monument. Yeah, yeah,
- 47:29Speaker 9: but that would also be about forty five seconds and
- 47:31Speaker 9: then be.
- 47:31Speaker 7: Like, all right, I stood in all the states, and.
- 47:34Speaker 4: How long would it take you to get from like
- 47:37Speaker 4: wherever you are, wherever you are? Yeah, yeah, to Mount Rushmore.
- 47:42Speaker 9: I have no clue, Like, you know, it's in the
- 47:44Speaker 9: middle of nowhere, right.
- 47:45Speaker 4: What's what's the Yeah, what's the closest town to where
- 47:47Speaker 4: Mount Rushmore? I mean they've got to have hotels and stuff, right, say,
- 47:50Speaker 4: what else are you doing there besides Mount Rushmore?
- 47:52Speaker 9: Probably not much.
- 47:54Speaker 4: I have no idea Black Hills Yeah, yeah, so you
- 47:58Speaker 4: know you can.
- 47:59Speaker 9: Look at the I'm in park. Probably the same deal.
- 48:01Speaker 9: He said it took hours to get there.
- 48:03Speaker 3: Stayed for fifteen minutes.
- 48:04Speaker 8: How he said she wanted to leave, and then we
- 48:06Speaker 8: stayed about thirty minutes longer.
- 48:08Speaker 3: Yeah, so I mean, you know, get your money's worth.
- 48:10Speaker 3: You went all the way there.
- 48:11Speaker 7: Yeah, that's true.
- 48:12Speaker 4: You know, so you can't just leave the minute she
- 48:14Speaker 4: says like, well on board, all right, let's go. It's
- 48:16Speaker 4: like you're like, all right, let's just let's just give
- 48:18Speaker 4: it a few more minutes. We came all the way
- 48:19Speaker 4: down here and we spent a couple hours to get
- 48:21Speaker 4: to this plowed field.
- 48:23Speaker 7: Yeah, you have to hang out in Keystone, South Dakota.
- 48:25Speaker 3: Well, it looks like the biggest one is Rapid City.
- 48:29Speaker 3: Oh okay, for of that you have, yeah, that's the biggest.
- 48:33Speaker 3: I went to that Diamond place in Arkansas. Stupidest thing
- 48:36Speaker 3: in the US, big field, plowed mud. If I'm generous,
- 48:40Speaker 3: I'm giving it a one out of ten. Yeah, from the.
- 48:43Speaker 4: Six six texting over to two two ninety seven. So
- 48:45Speaker 4: we shouldn't do it field trip, No, damn it. Well, hey,
- 48:49Speaker 4: thank you, welder Will Yes, what do you show? Mail call?
- 48:52Speaker 9: Maybe we'll strike it rid.
- 48:56Speaker 3: The Woody Show.
- 49:00Speaker 4: And since it is a throwback Thursday, I got something here.
- 49:06Speaker 3: You know, the beginning of the nineties was thirty five
- 49:08Speaker 3: years ago. No way, that's a lie, and.
- 49:11Speaker 4: Life was a lot different back then. This is one
- 49:13Speaker 4: of those people were asks things where they asked the question,
- 49:17Speaker 4: what's something that was socially acceptable in the nineties, but
- 49:19Speaker 4: not today. Good question, not being reachable. It was a
- 49:25Speaker 4: very common answer. True, Yeah, like you just weren't. If
- 49:29Speaker 4: you text somebody and you don't get a response in
- 49:31Speaker 4: ten minutes, they freak out. I saw this thing and
- 49:34Speaker 4: this guy, I think he's in the Netherlands. He works
- 49:37Speaker 4: for a US company, a US based company, but they
- 49:39Speaker 4: have an office in the Netherlands, and so I guess
- 49:43Speaker 4: in the Netherlands, like at five o'clock, people log off
- 49:45Speaker 4: and they don't log back on or check work emails
- 49:48Speaker 4: or what un till nine am the next day. They're
- 49:50Speaker 4: not available after five pm on a Friday. Next time
- 49:52Speaker 4: you're going to hear from them, it is Monday at
- 49:54Speaker 4: nine There was there was this new manager, US based
- 49:59Speaker 4: manager that was hitting this guy up and he was
- 50:02Speaker 4: upset because he wasn't available. The guy in the Netherlands
- 50:05Speaker 4: wasn't available for a like one of those like team
- 50:09Speaker 4: building zoom and it was at one pm New York time,
- 50:16Speaker 4: but it was like, I forget what time it was
- 50:18Speaker 4: seven six or seven o'clock, you know in the Netherlands,
- 50:21Speaker 4: whatever the time difference is. Yeah, So he wasn't on it,
- 50:25Speaker 4: and he goes well, you know, we really need you to,
- 50:27Speaker 4: you know, have more of like whatever goes attitude and
- 50:31Speaker 4: blah blah blah blah blah. And he's like, no, many,
- 50:32Speaker 4: because I don't think you understand how it works here.
- 50:35Speaker 4: And he's just trying to explain, you know, we see
- 50:37Speaker 4: it as if you are doing things after hours, it
- 50:41Speaker 4: just means that you're not being efficient with your time
- 50:43Speaker 4: while you're at work like that, and it also means
- 50:45Speaker 4: that you don't have good time management. And I'm neither
- 50:47Speaker 4: one of those things.
- 50:49Speaker 9: Interesting, and the.
- 50:49Speaker 4: Guy didn't like that answer, and so he sent like
- 50:53Speaker 4: some you know, things like hey, well, if you're looking
- 50:55Speaker 4: to get ahead in the company and blah blah blah
- 50:57Speaker 4: blah blah, this is the mindset you're gonna have to have.
- 51:00Speaker 4: And so he gave that to his Netherlands based HR
- 51:03Speaker 4: department for the company, and they like, slap this guy's wrist.
- 51:08Speaker 4: He's not fired or anything, but they go, dude, there
- 51:11Speaker 4: are different there are different labor laws here. Yeah, and
- 51:14Speaker 4: so you can't be basically threatening this guy. I'm saying
- 51:15Speaker 4: that if he doesn't answer your emails on Saturday or
- 51:18Speaker 4: doesn't show up to your team's meeting, at, you know,
- 51:22Speaker 4: after hours for the net like he's here in the Netherlands.
- 51:24Speaker 3: He's not in the States. Like people try to have
- 51:28Speaker 3: that attitude in America. Yeah, in in the workplace, and
- 51:32Speaker 3: it just doesn't fly. Here's the thing me personally, I
- 51:35Speaker 3: don't have that attitude.
- 51:37Speaker 4: I'm not a punching at you know whatever, time, clock out, whatever,
- 51:40Speaker 4: and you can't reach me otherwise. I'm not that person.
- 51:43Speaker 4: I've never been that person. I do feel that it
- 51:46Speaker 4: is beneficial. Could you do it?
- 51:48Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 51:49Speaker 4: Do I think you should do that?
- 51:50Speaker 3: Probably exactly.
- 51:51Speaker 4: Not not the way that most businesses will then not
- 51:55Speaker 4: consider you for things down the road because they want
- 51:57Speaker 4: somebody who is quote all.
- 51:59Speaker 9: In or you know legally you do that?
- 52:01Speaker 3: Sure, legally?
- 52:02Speaker 9: Do you look like a douche pretty much?
- 52:04Speaker 3: Right exactly?
- 52:05Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 52:05Speaker 4: Well, the minute I leave here, I'm not opening up
- 52:08Speaker 4: forget it.
- 52:09Speaker 3: Like yesterday they asked me, like, hey, we really need
- 52:12Speaker 3: you to record this commercial. I was at home in
- 52:14Speaker 3: bed and I go and I don't have my home
- 52:17Speaker 3: studio set up because I'm moving, So I drove back
- 52:20Speaker 3: here recorded it, yeah, and then drove back home.
- 52:22Speaker 4: But I don't I don't necessarily fault the people who
- 52:26Speaker 4: are that way, because you're right. And this is the
- 52:28Speaker 4: other point this guy was making, is like, hey, I'm
- 52:30Speaker 4: compensated for forty hours a week. I do the forty hours.
- 52:33Speaker 4: I do what I'm supposed to do. I'm meeting my
- 52:35Speaker 4: deadlines or whatever. I don't know what the business is.
- 52:38Speaker 4: I'm meeting my deadlines. Like what I'm I'm holding up
- 52:42Speaker 4: my end.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Of the agreement.
- 52:43Speaker 4: Okay, that's that's that's fair enough. Now I'm not gonna
- 52:46Speaker 4: feel bad for him if he does get passed over
- 52:48Speaker 4: for things because they have their own things or criteria
- 52:52Speaker 4: that what they're they're what they're considering. Fine, but you
- 52:54Speaker 4: can't you know, you can't complain at that point. But
- 52:57Speaker 4: they also they also can't complain if you decide that
- 52:59Speaker 4: you're just gonna do what you are, you know, to
- 53:02Speaker 4: the penny of what you're compensated for anyway. So not
- 53:05Speaker 4: being reachable back to the original thing. What's something that
- 53:07Speaker 4: was socially acceptable in the nineties but not today? Just
- 53:10Speaker 4: not being reachable. Leaving kids in the car while you
- 53:12Speaker 4: went grocery shopping.
- 53:14Speaker 7: Oh my god, we were left in the car. Oh yeah,
- 53:18Speaker 7: oh yeah, lived in that car.
- 53:20Speaker 8: Yeah, I would get worried my mom would be in
- 53:22Speaker 8: the store for so long.
- 53:23Speaker 4: I'm yes, you remember that's what happened to the Punky Burster,
- 53:27Speaker 4: Like mom went into the grocery store and never came
- 53:29Speaker 4: back out. Yeah, Punky, you had to go live with
- 53:33Speaker 4: Henry Warnamon.
- 53:33Speaker 3: I forgot that part. Her mom died or she just.
- 53:36Speaker 4: Know she took off at the grocery store.
- 53:40Speaker 7: No, we used to do. My brother and I used
- 53:41Speaker 7: to beink horrible that. I don't think I was. We
- 53:43Speaker 7: were the only kids who did this, and now I would.
- 53:45Speaker 7: I feel so bad just thinking about it. But let's
- 53:47Speaker 7: when mom gets back, let's have everything turned up, the
- 53:50Speaker 7: air conditioner.
- 53:50Speaker 3: The radio, the car.
- 53:56Speaker 14: One time, me and my sister were in the car
- 53:58Speaker 14: when my mom was in the grocery store and we thought, like,
- 53:59Speaker 14: she's forever, We're going to go in and find her.
- 54:02Speaker 14: As soon as we want to open the door, the
- 54:04Speaker 14: alarm started going off to the car, and then we just.
- 54:07Speaker 6: Hid the rest of the time with the alarm going off.
- 54:10Speaker 4: Socially acceptable in the nineties, not so much today. Showing
- 54:12Speaker 4: up at someone's house unannounced to hang out. Oh, I'd
- 54:15Speaker 4: dreaming smoking in a restaurant. There were still anywhere smoking,
- 54:20Speaker 4: you're not smoking. You get that question when you walk
- 54:22Speaker 4: in smoking, you're not smoking.
- 54:24Speaker 9: Haven't heard that in what twenty five years? How about
- 54:26Speaker 9: hiring ten year olds the babysit Oh.
- 54:29Speaker 7: My god, they were always only like two years older
- 54:31Speaker 7: than you.
- 54:32Speaker 6: Babysitting at ten.
- 54:33Speaker 4: Yeah, because I remember when you know, we were kids,
- 54:36Speaker 4: when I was a kid. You know a lot of
- 54:38Speaker 4: the girls, like in my class, when we were like
- 54:40Speaker 4: eleven twelve, ten eleven twelve, like they started getting babysitting jobs.
- 54:44Speaker 6: Oh yeah, made like three dollars an hour.
- 54:45Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, making plans with someone multiple days in advance,
- 54:50Speaker 4: not talking to them about it again, and just showing
- 54:52Speaker 4: up without having to confirm the plans.
- 54:54Speaker 3: Were still on.
- 54:55Speaker 4: Can you imagine what something socially acceptable in the nineties
- 54:59Speaker 4: been not so much today?
- 55:00Speaker 3: Mooning people that was just fun.
- 55:03Speaker 6: A list, Yeah yeah, a road trip in the back seat.
- 55:08Speaker 4: You end up on some kind of like watch list.
- 55:10Speaker 4: There was a sexual offenders list. We used to trains
- 55:13Speaker 4: going by. Yeah yeah, pressed ham up against them. Fun
- 55:19Speaker 4: and I'll give you one more. This has brought up
- 55:20Speaker 4: a number of times. There were even those announcements on
- 55:22Speaker 4: the television right before the late news would start like,
- 55:25Speaker 4: it's eleven o'clock. Do you know where your kids are? Yeah,
- 55:27Speaker 4: not having any idea where kids were because you get
- 55:30Speaker 4: home from school. It wasn't like there were cell phones
- 55:33Speaker 4: or ways to check in.
- 55:33Speaker 3: No, I would.
- 55:35Speaker 4: I would come home, let myself in the house, drop
- 55:37Speaker 4: up my backpack, out the door. I went, and you
- 55:39Speaker 4: didn't see me until dark.
- 55:40Speaker 3: Well that's gone.
- 55:41Speaker 7: You were a latchkey kid. I was a latchkey kid.
- 55:44Speaker 7: You just let yourself in.
- 55:45Speaker 3: But even still, the parents who were at home like
- 55:47Speaker 3: to stay at home, moms and stuff. At the time.
- 55:49Speaker 4: My friend's parents, like, we would just be out and
- 55:52Speaker 4: they didn't know where we were going. We're going out today,
- 55:56Speaker 4: We're gonna go play football and then because then you
- 55:58Speaker 4: play football for maybe like forty five minutes, then to
- 56:00Speaker 4: be onto something else and then somebody else's house made
- 56:03Speaker 4: to play video games. But like your parents didn't know
- 56:05Speaker 4: that you went over to so and so's house to
- 56:07Speaker 4: play video games.
- 56:08Speaker 3: You just went.
- 56:08Speaker 4: Yeah, they didn't care. We would ride our bikes to
- 56:10Speaker 4: like two cities over yeah, oh yeah, forty four Wooding.
- 56:23Speaker 5: All right.
- 56:23Speaker 4: I thought about Sammy, because this is something that you
- 56:29Speaker 4: could totally do have you ever heard of a tuneless choir?
- 56:34Speaker 3: Oh? Have you heard about this teless?
- 56:37Speaker 4: Yeah? So this woman in Vancouver Island in Canada, she
- 56:40Speaker 4: started two of them. And there are choirs of people
- 56:44Speaker 4: who suck it singing, okay, like either tone deaf.
- 56:47Speaker 3: Or just suck at singing singing.
- 56:49Speaker 4: They got thirty of these things in England and they're
- 56:51Speaker 4: they're gaining in popularity very quickly because.
- 56:54Speaker 3: It's just people having a great time, all getting together and.
- 56:58Speaker 9: Just can't sit there.
- 57:00Speaker 4: But they're terrible singers.
- 57:01Speaker 20: Okay, yeah, so here here they are. This is uh,
- 57:05Speaker 20: tone deaf yet joyful. That's the name of the literally,
- 57:10Speaker 20: that's the name of the that's the name of their group. Yeah,
- 57:14Speaker 20: I'm not yeah that that that is not me just
- 57:17Speaker 20: giving them a name.
- 57:18Speaker 3: But altogether they can't sound that bad.
- 57:20Speaker 4: Right, Well, let's see, so this is tone deaf yet joyful,
- 57:24Speaker 4: the choir singing proclaimers, I'm gonna be five hundred miles.
- 57:36Speaker 4: Let's see, which is that they're kind of doing.
- 57:41Speaker 3: They're kind of doing Instead of.
- 57:44Speaker 4: I will walk far, they'll go, well, I will walk five.
- 57:49Speaker 6: But it's still fun being at a concert.
- 57:51Speaker 3: Sounds exactly tone deaf yet joyful.
- 58:16Speaker 7: I love that there's someone there keeping them on track.
- 58:19Speaker 9: Girl.
- 58:19Speaker 14: They love this so much because it's always the people
- 58:25Speaker 14: who are really good at singing that like ruin it
- 58:27Speaker 14: for the rest of us who can't sing because you're like, okay,
- 58:29Speaker 14: I shouldn't be here.
- 58:30Speaker 4: We had that whole thing about a conversation about sam
- 58:32Speaker 4: in her tone deafness or whatever, and she started crying
- 58:35Speaker 4: and stuff. We got so much feedback on that.
- 58:38Speaker 9: You know, I love you, but you're not even good
- 58:40Speaker 9: enough to be in this group because.
- 58:43Speaker 6: You hear me specifically, they're.
- 58:45Speaker 9: Actually doing the even if it's off key. You would
- 58:50Speaker 9: just be like, but I.
- 58:52Speaker 6: Thought you want to be able to pick up on
- 58:54Speaker 6: specifically me.
- 58:55Speaker 4: She might be more if they had her solo.
- 58:59Speaker 3: You know.
- 59:01Speaker 4: Yeah, we got, like, like I said, a bunch of
- 59:03Speaker 4: feedback after ours voicemails on it way.
- 59:06Speaker 16: Listening to Sammy try to match pitch was so heartbreaking,
- 59:11Speaker 16: not the fact that she failed, but the fact that
- 59:14Speaker 16: she was like grumbling as it happened. You guys were
- 59:17Speaker 16: also mentioning about that being a learned skill. Took vocal
- 59:22Speaker 16: lessons one time, and that's actually the first thing they
- 59:25Speaker 16: test you on when they bring you into the room.
- 59:27Speaker 16: They play a few notes and if you kind of
- 59:29Speaker 16: if you can't match it, you're a lost cause. So
- 59:32Speaker 16: that's a it's gonna be a rough till there, Sammy,
- 59:35Speaker 16: and I think you're out anyway.
- 59:38Speaker 3: Me love, But.
- 59:39Speaker 4: Yeah, they don't want you to waste your time, under
- 59:41Speaker 4: your money to do lessons if there's just no hope
- 59:44Speaker 4: for the start with that. Yeah, yeah, here's another one.
- 59:48Speaker 21: Hey, show.
- 59:50Speaker 5: You hate to be crazy.
- 59:52Speaker 2: I love you, I hate you, I love you, I
- 59:53Speaker 2: hate you.
- 59:54Speaker 5: I go back and forth all the time, but at
- 59:55Speaker 5: the end of the day, I'm all in. Y'all are mean.
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: Sammy is awesome, Sammy, I love you. She's tone deaf.
- 1:00:04Speaker 16: Leave the girl alone.
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: I'm a singer. She is tone deaf. She cannot hear it.
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: She can't hear it, and it's not her fault. She
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: is tone deaf.
- 1:00:15Speaker 18: Wow, I'm listening to this episode like, Wow, you're repetitive.
- 1:00:21Speaker 18: And on top of that, she doesn't need to know
- 1:00:24Speaker 18: the name of the coach to love the Patriots.
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: Okay. I love Mary, I love the Smiths, I love
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: everything they do. I know all the songs, lyrics, I
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: know all the songs. I couldn't name you more than
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: three names of three of the songs or albums, but
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: I love them. You do not need to know the
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: names of everything and everyone involved in everything you love. Okay,
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: not everything.
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: But if I asked you.
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: The name of the lead singer of the Smiths and
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: you couldn't come up with more, that would be questionable, right, true?
- 1:00:55Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't know anything about any of this.
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: Thanks for calling me.
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: I think I know the coach of the Patriots. Is
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: it Rabel?
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: That's all I got for a player for the Patriots?
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Rabel.
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: I'll give you one more.
- 1:01:10Speaker 21: Hey, what do you show? I was just listening to
- 1:01:12Speaker 21: the podcast when you guys are talking about Sammy's inability
- 1:01:16Speaker 21: to hear sounds, and then it kind of divulged into
- 1:01:18Speaker 21: color blindless. A buddy of mine is red green color blind,
- 1:01:22Speaker 21: and just to kind of give you a little bit
- 1:01:23Speaker 21: of context, he says he can tell a difference between red, red,
- 1:01:28Speaker 21: and green when they're separate, but if he's ever doing
- 1:01:31Speaker 21: something where red and green are together, so like aund
- 1:01:34Speaker 21: Christmas time, he has a hard time differentiating between the
- 1:01:37Speaker 21: two when they are together. So if I was wearing
- 1:01:41Speaker 21: a red and green striped shirt to him, it would
- 1:01:45Speaker 21: look like both of those colors, the stripes on those
- 1:01:47Speaker 21: that shirt are very similar. But if one person's wearing
- 1:01:51Speaker 21: a red shirt and another person's wearing a green shirt
- 1:01:54Speaker 21: with somebody else wearing like a black, blue, white, gray, purple,
- 1:01:59Speaker 21: whatever in between, mean he can see that they are
- 1:02:01Speaker 21: different shapes. So just a little bit of insight on that,
- 1:02:05Speaker 21: and that's probably similar to what Sammy is experiencing with sounds.
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: So fight Yeah, thank god, I don't have color blindness
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: that I mean, I guess you don't know what you're missing. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: I guess that's part of it.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: Like if you don't if you don't know, you don't know.
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: It's more common men, and it's oh, it's usually red
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: and green.
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: I don't know why interesting.
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: Eight seven seven four. You can text us if you like,
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: over to two two nine eight seven. And I think,
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: because I'm looking at the text, you know, somebody said,
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: you love it really like a concert, You're gonna pay
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: good money to go watch this.
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: I don't think.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: No, I don't think anybody's gonna pay you to go
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: see these guys. I'm thinking if you're someone like Sammy
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: and you know you're a terrible singer, but you do
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: have fun participating, you enjoy it, like that might be
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: something that you enjoy going and doing and activity.
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: Yeah, you're writing tickets.
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: I don't know anybody's gonna go see these people saying
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: money to go see people saying but yeah, there's.
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: Not gonna be a recital, no exactly.
- 1:03:00Speaker 12: Who's what is you?
- 1:03:03Speaker 9: Well?
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: For the first time here in the new year, and
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: with great purpose, today we bring you Rich Deramuro. He
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: has a he's a tech reporter, he's got a radio show,
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: he's got a TV presence that he does. He's the
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: official tech correspondent for not just The Woodie Show, but
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: for KTLA Television in Los Angeles. The rich on Tech
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: radio show is heard coast to coast everyone a ton
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: of stations. You could also subscribe to Rich's free newsletter
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: at richon Tech dot tv. Find him on social media
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: at rich on Tech. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: rich on Tech.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: Yeah, wow, that was quite the intro. Thank you.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: I'm how much you from Las Vegas looking at the
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: sphere which is always glowing with something quite wild. Yeah,
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: illuminating my room all night long.
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: Yeah, Well, happy New Year. How was your was your break?
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: You're doing thing cool.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: I went to New Jersey where I'm from, and my
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: kids hit the vacation lottery because it snowed not once
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: but twice and they were just loving it.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: So that's cool it.
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: Gina went to Minnesota for her her in laws adults.
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: There was adult sledding that happened there too. That sounds
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: like that would involve a cocktail. But yes, right, but
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: that's fun right right back at now. What we love
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: about Richard bes I just being a super nice guy
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: and super helpful when it comes to all this tech
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: stuff is that it's it's very approachable. It's a it's
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: consumer tech. It's not like the stuff that you get
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: like when tech guys get together and talk a monsk
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: each other.
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: What driver do I need for this?
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: Is?
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: This is?
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: This is what's the refresh rate on that TV?
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: This?
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: This is stuff that we as just average people like
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: you know, who like technology, you like the things that
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: it can do for you, but just kind of getting
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: like a real insight into it. And this is the
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: super Bowl of tech. The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: I went one time, and as a guy who loves
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: all this stuff, I gotta admit I was kind of
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: over there's so much.
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: I didn't know where to start.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm sure I'm missing out on something good,
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: and so, you know, medicine and I were just kind
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: of like wandering around checking out different stuff. But what
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: do you see in there? Rich, what do you like?
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: What's some cool stuff to look forward to?
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: Well, just to set it up, I mean, you did
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: explain how how massive this show is. It is huge
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: the convention center. It takes over the entire convention center,
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: but not just that, but also a lot of the
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: hotels in the surrounding areas. There's a Venetian, they have
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: a big expo center there, and then a lot of
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: the suite companies that don't even go to the show
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: will rent out like a giant suite and show off
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: stuff privately there. So it is massive. It's impossible to
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: see everything. Probably over like four thousand exhibitors.
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: But I go to a lot of the events. I
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: wander the floor all day long. I did like twenty
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: two thousand steps yesterday. You know, looking for the stuff,
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: you know, the TVs and all that stuff kind of
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: grab your attention, but I'm looking for the little things that,
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: you know, every day people are going to use. So
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: here's some interesting ones. Let's start with you want to
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: start with the weirdest thing that I saw.
- 1:06:00Speaker 9: There's something that I think you saw that I with
- 1:06:03Speaker 9: absolutely no exaggeration, no hyperbole, I have dreamt about my
- 1:06:09Speaker 9: entire life, and.
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: I guess what it is. Yes, okay, so I did
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: see something about this, This smart hair clipper?
- 1:06:15Speaker 9: Is that it?
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: This would never be a real Is that real? Chell?
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: Tell us about this. It's like an AI guided hair clipper, right,
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: tell us about it?
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: So funny. I almost started with that one because that
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: is okay, when I was a kid, remember those commercials
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: on TV the flow be Yes, Yes, this is kind
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: of like the AI equivalent of that. So it looks
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: like a hair clipper, but it's got this like guide
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: on it that is AI, I guess helpful. So the
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: guide actually adjusts as you run this thing up and
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: down your head, and the AI keeps it at different
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: lengths so you can get like the perfect.
- 1:06:51Speaker 9: Constantly kind of going up and down or whatever.
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: Yes, if it's like shorter on the sides and then
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: it gets to the top of your your haircut short
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: on the sides on the on the side but on
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: the top there's a little bit more likely they would
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: know to adjust itself.
- 1:07:04Speaker 7: Interesting.
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: What, Yeah, this is great. I'm about to pass out
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: because how often do you get your hair cut? Preferably
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: once a week once a week, wow, but usually like
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: every two weeks.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: That would trim his hair all the time.
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: I saw this in action, and honestly I was tempted
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: to have them try it on me because I could
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: use a cleanup, and I was like, what do I
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: have to lose? It cand of be a fun story,
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: But they weren't doing it that night, so yeah, we'll see.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: I may go back to the booth. But yeah, this
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: is AI guided. It's called Glide and.
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: D if you want to look it up.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:07:40Speaker 9: Is it kind of like I'm excited when you go
- 1:07:42Speaker 9: to a car show they have concept cars. Is this
- 1:07:44Speaker 9: a real thing that's available now or is this a
- 1:07:46Speaker 9: tease of what's to come?
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: This is supposed well. Nailing down whether these things are
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: real or coming out is always tricky with these companies.
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: They always say I have a launch day and then sometimes
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: it gets to pushed back. I am on their website
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: it's smartthair clipper dot com.
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: Smart hair clipper dot com. You want to check it
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: out and sold?
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: What else?
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: Rich, What else do we need to know about?
- 1:08:07Speaker 5: Oh?
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: This is interesting. This VVU. This is a device you
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: put in your toilet and it tests your urine every
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: time for hydration and wellness.
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: That's fascinating diversion that tests for drugs.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: I asked if they're going to test for more stuff
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: in the future. She said absolutely. So this is one
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: hundred dollars. You know, it's supposed as opposed to test strips.
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: They say that hydration is such a big part of life,
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: and it's you know, a big part of a wellness marker.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: So I just thought it was interesting that you would
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: have that you're so obsessed with your hydration, but you
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: would put this thing in your toy.
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: We have somebody here on the Woody Show, Gina Grad,
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: who was dehydrated to the point where she had a
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: seizure and passed down her bathroom. Had to be taken
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: to the hospital via ambulance over the holiday break.
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: So I'd very much like to know without having to
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: pee in a cup at a doctor's office, if I'm
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: fully hydrated.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I just thought you look at the color. It's
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: like if it's bright, right, Okay.
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: If it's pale, that's good. I saw something that I'm
- 1:09:03Speaker 7: dying to know. If you taste tested, did you see
- 1:09:06Speaker 7: the lollipop Star?
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, okay, I was trying it this morning
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: because they gave me a bunch of them.
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: Oh lucky.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: This thing is so crazy. Okay, if you're not familiar,
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: Lollipop Star is basically a lollipop that plays music in
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: your mouth when you suck on it.
- 1:09:22Speaker 7: It uses like a bone induction technology.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: Yes, what yeah, bone conduction, so conduction. Basically, it was
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: a little tiny electronics in the base of it, and
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: that it looks like a regular lollipop. I got the
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: I think it was salted lime. And you suck on
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: this thing and as you're you know, nothing to do
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: with the sucking, but it just as your teeth are
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: on this, they vibrate your bones and make you hear
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: this music and it really works.
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: Okay, let's talk about something actually useful. And I did
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: see that you would post this again. You can find
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: a rich on social media at rich on Tech and
- 1:09:57Speaker 4: it's this stare climbing robot vacuum blown up on all
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: the time. Yeah, and I keep saying like I'm not
- 1:10:05Speaker 4: just rich talking about but like this seems to be
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: getting a lot of attention there at the Consumer Electronic Show.
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: And there's multiple versions, right.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a bunch of a bunch of companies working
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: on this. This is probably the most trending video on
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: my Instagram at rich on Tech right now. I've just
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: been posting a ton of stuff. But this is Dream
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: d r E a m E. They're a pretty well
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: known maker of vacuums and robotics stuff. But yeah, they
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: have this bionic quad track vacuum cleaner that climb stairs.
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: But here's the deal. It's still a prototype. It doesn't
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: use wheels, it uses like these tracks. It almost looks
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: like like a tank, like the tracks underneath the tank.
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: But here's the weird part. It's got the standard room
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: buck kind of like you know, circular vacuum, but it
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: goes into this like shell and then the shell goes
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: up the stairs and then it goes down the stairs
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: and it goes back out. So it's like getting into
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: like a little armored car almost to go up the stairs.
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: Since we're talking this is a robot vacuum, but since
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: we're talking robots, just in general here. I posted a
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: comment on one of your videos and it was a
- 1:11:12Speaker 4: it was a robot like one of the you know,
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: the things is going to eventually kill us humanoid and
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: it was showing. It was showing it like shadow boxing
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: and stuff, and I go, why are we teaching these
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: things to fight?
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: Question?
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: I don't know, But like, okay, fold laundry great, because
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: there is another thing too, there's that folding that laundry
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: folding robot.
- 1:11:33Speaker 17: Right.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: I spent the I'm not kidding, I spent the entire
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: second half of the day yesterday just looking at robots
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: because they're so fun. They had Okay, they had robots
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: that are like a puppeteer, like puppet hands, puppet robot
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: hands doing like little robot puppets. Okay, they had an
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: entire chorus of robots. I'm talking maybe three dozen robots
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: sitting in chairs, all just moving at the same time.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: That was number two. They had the laundry fold robot.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: There's two of them. I saw one is from Dinah
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: d y n A and I watched it fold this towel. Now,
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: it would have taken a human like three seconds to fold.
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: It took this thing like a minute to figure out
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: how to row, you know, but.
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: They couldn't do it twenty four hours a day. But
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: you're saying like like you walk saying you walk away.
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: That's like you could do all the dishes, that's right,
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: Like but before you just throw them the dishwasher, walk away,
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: do your other things, come back and the dishes are done.
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: Same thing.
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: It's like this can can take all your laundry, fold
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: it even if it takes longer.
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: Who cares? You didn't have to do it?
- 1:12:29Speaker 9: You sit and watch TV.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw actually fighting robots as the see why
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: That's what I want to know, Like, like, what's the
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: one that you're getting.
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: Menace the one X technology? Richard Mensa put the money
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: in from one of those. He's getting one of those things.
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: Uh like, So it's it's that type of robot that
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: I'm talking about. Why are we teaching those things to
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: fight humans?
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: Humanoid?
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: Just I don't even know why it would do that
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: demo because it's just like asking for trouble. It's like,
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: why are showing this, why are we even? Why are
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: you and showing that we've explained to these robots that
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: we need to fight. Yeah, you know there's gonna be
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: a robot army that comes across and just thousands of
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: these things that come through the door, and there is
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: no hiding, there's no avoiding it.
- 1:13:12Speaker 4: We are done as a humans. Talking about other stuff
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: that is there. At cees you mentioned, you know, the
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: TV seemed to get a lot of the attention, like
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: kind of like attention grabbing kind of thing. Is there
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: anything that kind of stood out this year? Like how
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: much more can we do with televisions? Is there something
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: that stood out to you from the TV stuff? You know, well,
- 1:13:31Speaker 4: there is one thing I saw.
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: I mean, obviously they all continue to get bigger and
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: brighter and you know, better contrast.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: That's yeah, yeah, we've heard that forever.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: What I think is interesting is actually AI is helping
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: people hear the dialogue better. I don't know if you've
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: ever been doing this for you watch a movie and
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: you're like, what did they just say?
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: Every day?
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: Yeah, what is up with that? Like we figured out
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: surround sounds out the you know, gazoo, but we can't
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: figure out how to hear these people. So AI can
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: now separate the audio track from the background, and you
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: can kind of turn that up so you can hear
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: people better, and I'm seeing that across a bunch of
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: different TVs, not just yeah, but rich.
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: We we're allowed to talk about it now because we're
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: under NDA. We have that secret meeting where we got
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: to see those new displays with TCL because they have
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: so you're out of CES. You're going to hear all
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: these TV companies talk about RGB, which is red green
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: blue but in the like the new age of uh
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: red green blue is the micro RGB, but TCL like
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: jumped the gun and now they're like going ahead of that,
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: and they're coming out with s QD, which is super
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: quantum dots, which is like ultra coolor.
- 1:14:43Speaker 4: Okay, so this is this is there's a disconnect, right yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: which is what.
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: Which is just like even like even definition. And the
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: reason that they can do that, because we've talked about
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: this before, because TCL versus all these other companies that
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: are already behind with RGB, is that they have to
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: buy parts from other companies, which TCL can do. They
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: make their own parts. Okay, so they're able to advance
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: like SpaceX.
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: SpaceX is like three D printing a lot of stuff
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: they need for their rockets and stuff right there and
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: Hawthorn at their at their facility's coal.
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: Yeah, so they're able to AD's faster than anybody else.
- 1:15:23Speaker 12: Can.
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: I just try to explain TV technology and like a
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: little bit like what makes the TV better. Basically, every
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: TV is made up of like display pixels, right, and
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: so the more that you can illuminate those pixels individually
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: and with different colors, the better the picture is going
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: to look. Because let's say you have a picture of
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: just a moon. You don't want to see the moon
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: with like you know, clouding around the edges or you know,
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: bleeding the color out to the rest of the screen.
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: You want to see just that moon in the rest
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: of is completely black.
- 1:15:52Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: So the more pixels you have, the more control you
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: have over lighting them, the better your screen looks, the
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: better your picture looks. And that's really what all these
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: manufacturers are trying to do without going to o lead,
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: which is very expensive, and it's just you know, these
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: companies would rather use you know, the older technology that
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: still works, but it looks better depending on how you
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: illuminate it.
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: And then moving on from television because I know we're
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: running out of time. Rich On Tech is on with
- 1:16:19Speaker 4: us he is at CEES in Las Vegas checking out
- 1:16:23Speaker 4: all these different gadgets. I mean it is like, dude,
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: this is this is like getting to go to Wonka's
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: chocolate factory when you're in the in the tech and
- 1:16:31Speaker 4: just seeing all this stuff. So I'm really interested in finding,
- 1:16:36Speaker 4: you know, something good. I think I would get a
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: lot of use out of it. We always have to
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: do these videos for different things with the company here,
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: for advertisers or whatever, and they always have all this
- 1:16:44Speaker 4: you know, copy for us to read and do it
- 1:16:47Speaker 4: looking directly into the camera. And I keep seeing all
- 1:16:50Speaker 4: these glasses that have like teleprompter kind of features and
- 1:16:52Speaker 4: stuff in it, the smart glasses things like that. There
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: seems to be a ton of them out there. Rich,
- 1:16:57Speaker 4: is there one that you recommend, like the one that
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: looks like they doesn't have to be sunglasses, I know,
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: the ray band stuff, but like just like just like
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: regular you can put a prescription in eyewear that also
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: would have like say that like sort of tell like
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: teleprompter type of feature.
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: I tried out two pairs of these. Uh, And I'll
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: tell you what the problem is in a second. But
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: the market leader is clearly called even realities. So I
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: tried them yesterday. Okay, they are really good. They invented
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: this whole genre of the display glasses and I tried
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: the teleprompter yesterday and it was easy to read. And
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: the second version, by the way, is way better than
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: the first version of these glasses. They also came out
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: with a smart rings that you can navigate on screen
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: with your fingers. Rocket rok Id is another brand doing
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: the same exact thing. But here is the problem. And
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: you know, because the idea is I'd love to give
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: a speech where I can just read it off my
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: glasses and talk into an audience. That'd make life so
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: much easier. But here's the thing. When you move around,
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: the screen that you're looking at is also kind of
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: jumping around just by the natural movement of your body.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: And so it was very distracting to me to try
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: to read off of this thing because you're you're just
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: moving and so still exactly when they can figure out
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: how to make this thing sort of float in front
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: of you instead of being locked into the lenses, I
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: think that is going to be a game changer for
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: that technology.
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: Interesting, all right, So, but between the two even realities,
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: and then is it Roki our rocket r O K
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: I D which which one? Which one do you like
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: the best? Which one right now is the is the
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: better one?
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: Even Realities I think is the to me when I
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: tried them both on even Realities was easier to see.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: But I think, you know, the rocket, I think, you know,
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: don't discount them just yet. The very early which.
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: Ones look sexier?
- 1:18:44Speaker 9: You know?
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: Which ones do you look hotdter?
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: And you know I haven't gone through my video yet,
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: so I got to see which.
- 1:18:49Speaker 9: Ones I look at something that would be good for
- 1:18:51Speaker 9: motorcycle riders for navigation you know, Oh yeah, that'd be
- 1:18:55Speaker 9: a good idea.
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: Yeah, well Rich, thank you uh for getting into some
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: of I know it's a it's very busy when CEES.
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: Is going on.
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: The good thing is like you get to go on
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: I'm sure before the general public though, right like cauld
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: you get that kind of.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you're like VIP right right, uh huh.
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: Yeah, we get like two days before the general kind of.
- 1:19:13Speaker 4: Because then I saw they did it was essentially you know,
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: they do the rope drop at the theme parks and stuff,
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: and then everybody rushes they did that with the public
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: going into CEES and it was it looked like a madhouse. Yeah,
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: it is very well attended, I mean very well. A
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: lot of cool stuff going on well rich on Tech.

- 1:20:10Speaker 3: Thanks, Yoh, it's good Jeff G. What up? And good morning?
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: What you show?
- 1:20:14Speaker 19: Lakers were in San Antonio last night taking on Wimby
- 1:20:16Speaker 19: and the Spurs.
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: No Lebron, no Ruie, no Austin Reeves.
- 1:20:20Speaker 19: They were shorthanded, so needless to say, they got cooked
- 1:20:23Speaker 19: by the Spurs. Luca did have a thirty eight point
- 1:20:26Speaker 19: triple double, which included this amazing assist to Jackson Hayes
- 1:20:29Speaker 19: from half court. Going down three first, Jeff Holly, how
- 1:20:35Speaker 19: are you passed from Lucas?
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: Great look by Luca. Yeah, Luca didn't have much help
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: last night.
- 1:20:40Speaker 19: Lakers only shot twenty three percent from three point land.
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: They were pretty bad man. Moving on to the Clippers.
- 1:20:46Speaker 19: They lost to the Knicks yesterday won twenty three, one eleven.
- 1:20:49Speaker 19: Harden had twenty three points in the lost. Kawhi had
- 1:20:51Speaker 19: twenty five. Hockey Kings lost to San Jose Ducks in
- 1:20:55Speaker 19: Carolina this afternoon. College football playoffs continue tonight Miami versus
- 1:20:59Speaker 19: Old Miss. You know, chances are Miami's gonna win this
- 1:21:02Speaker 19: game Woodie Show, but I would love to see Old
- 1:21:04Speaker 19: Miss pull off the upset and shove it right in
- 1:21:07Speaker 19: Lane Kiffin's face for leaving them Erley to coach lsu And.
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: Finally, this morning, what are you gonna love this man?
- 1:21:12Speaker 19: Former NFL player Matt Khalil is suing his ex wife
- 1:21:16Speaker 19: Hayley Bailey for invasion of privacy.
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: Now get this.
- 1:21:19Speaker 19: She went on a Twitch live stream with famous streamer
- 1:21:22Speaker 19: Marlin and blasted it out to the world that her
- 1:21:24Speaker 19: ex husband, Matt Khalil.
- 1:21:26Speaker 3: Has a teeny weenie.
- 1:21:28Speaker 19: Now, first of all, never heard of anyone suing someone
- 1:21:30Speaker 19: else for that reason.
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: And number two, why would you want to bring more.
- 1:21:34Speaker 19: Attention to the fact that you have a teeny WEENI
- 1:21:37Speaker 19: unless you plan on bringing a ruler to court improving
- 1:21:41Speaker 19: it wrong.
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: Good luck with that, bro. I'm Jeff G. And that's
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: your SoCal sport, right Jeff YouTube in the Woody Show.
- 1:21:50Speaker 4: If you want to give us a call, be part

- 1:22:10Speaker 4: are down to go on a on a date with
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: dumb ass Tyler or Menji?
- 1:22:16Speaker 20: Love that?
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll read you a actual love connection.
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: What The comments on the post were pretty funny. Yeah,
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: I was dying, but there.
- 1:22:23Speaker 7: Were a lot of guys commenting, oh yeah, a lot
- 1:22:26Speaker 7: of interest.
- 1:22:27Speaker 3: We never asked that man. Actually, yeah, all.
- 1:22:29Speaker 4: Right here, dumb ass Tyler. This one's uh, this one's
- 1:22:31Speaker 4: about you.
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: Email.
- 1:22:34Speaker 4: It's from uh Alyssa. I'm sorry, yeah, Alyssa. It says hi,
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: my name's Alyssa. I'm thirty six years old. Listening to
- 1:22:42Speaker 4: Tyler speak about himself and what he looks for when
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: dating aligns perfectly with my ideals. I also look more
- 1:22:49Speaker 4: for good personality rather than looks, and I hate one
- 1:22:52Speaker 4: night stands because I prefer a connection with someone. Tyler
- 1:22:56Speaker 4: sounds like a sweet guy, and that's truly all that
- 1:22:59Speaker 4: matters to me is finding someone kind and funny to
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: do life with, happy to share more about myself. If
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: y'all are interested, have a great day. It's from Melissa.
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: PS.
- 1:23:08Speaker 4: I've never done anything like this before, That's what they
- 1:23:11Speaker 4: all said. But for somebody who's never hed before, you're
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: really good at that. But something about him just made
- 1:23:19Speaker 4: me say it.
- 1:23:20Speaker 3: Why not? So here I'll ford this time. She didn't
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: social links. That was a nice though, so very thought.
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: That was very intriguing. That was Yeah, Yeah, were you
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: up all night in d MS? I was in bed still.
- 1:23:42Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: We posted on our on our Instagram. You know a
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: picture of Menji. Someone said, man for a guy who's.
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: How old are you?
- 1:23:49Speaker 13: Thirty?
- 1:23:50Speaker 4: How old thirty three? Why does he look fifty? Yeah?
- 1:23:55Speaker 4: But I don't think that was you look not? I know,
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: I know sounds weird saying it doesn't sound like an insult,
- 1:24:02Speaker 4: you sound right, yeah, because because just I think just
- 1:24:06Speaker 4: his pose, the way he carries himself, the way, yeah,
- 1:24:09Speaker 4: the way you carry yourself. I don't know if that
- 1:24:10Speaker 4: was necessarily as a as an insult. It's like, yeah, damn,
- 1:24:13Speaker 4: you're old.
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: Correct, he looks old and young at the same time.
- 1:24:17Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, yeah, slightly gray. And there
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: was this one chick She's like, damn, Menji's hot. And
- 1:24:24Speaker 4: I saw her picture and I'm like, wow, really, oh,
- 1:24:28Speaker 4: good for you, Good for you Menji.
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: Okay, thanks, it's great.
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: As a man who out kicked his coverage, I think
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: I'm allowed to say that, like it would be out
- 1:24:39Speaker 4: kicking your coverage for sure.
- 1:24:41Speaker 9: And then me, good for you. Tyler is in his
- 1:24:43Speaker 9: mid thirties, right, And then I thought, I seriously thought
- 1:24:47Speaker 9: Tyler was in his late twenties.
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: Yeah, because the way he dresses.
- 1:24:52Speaker 9: Maybe, sorry, I like to call the way would I
- 1:24:57Speaker 9: would have thought twenty seven? Yeah, yeah tops.
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: And then uh, and then we got this one. This
- 1:25:01Speaker 4: is a woman who uh she goes, Oh my god,
- 1:25:04Speaker 4: she goes. I'm in so much love with Greg Gory
- 1:25:07Speaker 4: ever since I first into your show. He has been
- 1:25:09Speaker 4: my favorite. I know that he's gay, but I think
- 1:25:12Speaker 4: I might be able to change his mind. I've never
- 1:25:17Speaker 4: said anything like this before, but I can change you anyway. Also,
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: like just to do it just in general, a wellness
- 1:25:24Speaker 4: check on Greg Gorey. I know he's a very sensitive
- 1:25:26Speaker 4: guy and he seems to carry a lot of his
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: emotional weight with him. Uh So, gregor hope you're fine.
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: I love you, And that is from desiree.
- 1:25:35Speaker 9: Incredibly sweet, well, very nice. I mean, I am fine.
- 1:25:39Speaker 9: Everything's totally fine, except for one nagging thought, and that.
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: Is that is not going to come out right exactly
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: like if doesn't get super tight.
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: You went through all of that, all that.
- 1:25:51Speaker 9: Separation of the skin from the let's hope it tightens
- 1:25:56Speaker 9: up now. The one weird thing that I have that's
- 1:25:58Speaker 9: been looming over me is that, uh my brother's birthday
- 1:26:01Speaker 9: would have been this week and the thought that I had,
- 1:26:05Speaker 9: and this is pertains to him and to friends of
- 1:26:08Speaker 9: ours who are no longer with us. If I make
- 1:26:10Speaker 9: it on this earth a couple more years, I will
- 1:26:13Speaker 9: be older than my older brother. Ever was Does that
- 1:26:17Speaker 9: make sense? Yeah? Super weird, Like we have mutual friends
- 1:26:20Speaker 9: that have passed away, and we are all quite a
- 1:26:23Speaker 9: bit older than they were when they died. It's such
- 1:26:26Speaker 9: a trippy thought that's been nagon and that speaks.
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: To the whole you never know.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: Yeah, idea like today could be You're not promised tomorrow.
- 1:26:34Speaker 4: Idea totally yolo, Greg, perhaps, Yeah, you got to maintain it,
- 1:26:39Speaker 4: maintain it, maintain it.
- 1:26:40Speaker 7: That was always a big one for both my parents,
- 1:26:42Speaker 7: because all my grandparents died relatively young, and so each
- 1:26:45Speaker 7: one will be like, well, just past, my dad just
- 1:26:47Speaker 7: passed my mom. Now I only have my mom and
- 1:26:49Speaker 7: she's outlived everybody.
- 1:26:51Speaker 9: I never thought, yeah, my mom has outlived all her sisters.
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: Yeah, very weird thought.
- 1:26:56Speaker 4: I haven't had that thought when it comes to you know,
- 1:26:59Speaker 4: death or someone who I've outlived. But I did have
- 1:27:02Speaker 4: that thought a number of years ago when I realized
- 1:27:05Speaker 4: that I was older than my mom was when I
- 1:27:08Speaker 4: graduated high school, Like wow, because I put myself in
- 1:27:12Speaker 4: that position of like, I could have a kid who's
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: graduating high school right now, and how weird that would be. Yeah,
- 1:27:17Speaker 4: Like it's already weird enough that I have teenagers, right.
- 1:27:19Speaker 4: You know that doesn't seem because you always feel younger than.
- 1:27:22Speaker 3: You actually are.
- 1:27:23Speaker 7: How could I have a kid? I am a kid.
- 1:27:25Speaker 4: Yeah, like you're you're not as old as you you
- 1:27:28Speaker 4: don't feel as old as you actually are. Yeah, And
- 1:27:30Speaker 4: so that was that was kind of a weird mind
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: So I understand what you're saying. It I haven't thought
- 1:27:34Speaker 4: about in that context.
- 1:27:36Speaker 9: Or when you think about what your parents did that
- 1:27:37Speaker 9: you're mad about, and then you realize, wow, there were
- 1:27:40Speaker 9: twenty years younger than I am now and I was
- 1:27:42Speaker 9: mad about what they did.
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: They were more on tech, says.
- 1:27:47Speaker 4: I know you feel, Greg. I'm thirty eight now and
- 1:27:49Speaker 4: I'm older than my dad ever was. It's a weird feeling.
- 1:27:51Speaker 9: It's super bizarre. I guess birthdays will remind you of that,
- 1:27:54Speaker 9: you know.
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: Yeah, Greg, if you're looking to take your mind off
- 1:27:57Speaker 4: of it, I did offer whoever wanted to go with
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: me today because I got to take the plane out
- 1:28:02Speaker 4: and I was gonna just take whoever wanted to go
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: up to just a quick lunch. Is a quick lunch,
- 1:28:08Speaker 4: and you know, if you like Greg, I think that
- 1:28:09Speaker 4: might just take your mind off I don't know if
- 1:28:12Speaker 4: I'm prepared you, Greg, Greg, I I figured it would
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: be the last person but that's that's fine.
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: I want to say, but I don't know if I'm ready.
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: That's all good.
- 1:28:22Speaker 3: I definitely want to go. I just can't do it today.
- 1:28:24Speaker 7: Yeah, can you go to I got to wash my hair,
- 1:28:28Speaker 7: to watch my boots.
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: You know, I want I want Creig to have a thrill.
- 1:28:36Speaker 4: That would be a thrill. Is there gonna be any wind?
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: Is there gonna be.
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: Any very nice day, short short flight, nice day in
- 1:28:45Speaker 4: the place the place that that I was thinking about.
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: The food is awesome. Yeah, it's great. So I'm just
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: throwing that that I think about it for a few hours,
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: just something. I had to take the plane out anyway
- 1:28:59Speaker 4: today and so I've let's been a good opportunity to
- 1:29:01Speaker 4: kind of throw it out to the team and see
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: if anybody wanted to go up.
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: That's fine.
- 1:29:04Speaker 9: So the plane needs mechanical work, do you want to know? No, No,
- 1:29:08Speaker 9: it doesn't need mechanical work.
- 1:29:09Speaker 4: Every thirty days, you're supposed to run a system, right
- 1:29:13Speaker 4: for it's the anti icing system or whatever. Its just
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: it's just so, you know, sometimes it just current. Sometimes
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: you have like a like a like a soap pump
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: or a shampoo pump, you know, and if you haven't
- 1:29:24Speaker 4: used it for a minute, it gets that like it
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: kind of gunks up on the end. You just want
- 1:29:28Speaker 4: to make sure that everything's free flowing. So every thirty
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: days you just you just run it for a couple
- 1:29:31Speaker 4: of minutes.
- 1:29:32Speaker 3: That's it.
- 1:29:33Speaker 4: Get that gunk out. That's it, before you take it
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: up into the air. Get your gunk out. Yeah, all right,
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: eight seven seven forty four. Woodie is the phone number
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: if you want to call in. Hit us a text
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: if you like on the text over the two two
- 1:29:45Speaker 4: nine eighty seven.
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: All right, comeing up, we're gonna have some of the
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: week in audio.
- 1:30:00Speaker 4: Yes, Seabats, did you ever uh, did you ever have
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: a conversation with the muckety MUCKs about the patreon you
- 1:30:08Speaker 4: set up.
- 1:30:09Speaker 11: That's supposed that's supposed to happen today, But they're partner.
- 1:30:11Speaker 11: There's been a lot of misinformation about that. Oh, cart
- 1:30:14Speaker 11: Arks is not behind him paywall at all whatsoever. This
- 1:30:16Speaker 11: is something that people have been asking for, quite frankly
- 1:30:19Speaker 11: for years. This is just bonus stuff, behind the scenes,
- 1:30:22Speaker 11: discussion commentary. This is this is not original Cartnark's material.
- 1:30:25Speaker 11: That's that's that's out there to be seen. That's still
- 1:30:28Speaker 11: fully available on YouTube?
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: Is cardon arks?
- 1:30:31Speaker 7: Is it related to Carton?
- 1:30:32Speaker 11: Yeah, I said it's behind the scenes commentary, et cetera, stupor, which,
- 1:30:35Speaker 11: as what he mentioned, I'm fully authorized to do is
- 1:30:39Speaker 11: part of my deal here. So this is just this
- 1:30:42Speaker 11: is this is just misunderstanding, misinformation. I'm sure it will
- 1:30:45Speaker 11: be cleared up very easily.
- 1:30:46Speaker 4: I'm sure it will.
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: Is that why you're in a collared shirt today? You
- 1:30:49Speaker 6: have your big meeting.
- 1:30:52Speaker 4: Finally we're talking about twenty two dollars so far settled down. Yeah, no,
- 1:30:56Speaker 4: I know, I'm a little I'm a little unnerved by
- 1:30:59Speaker 4: this because this is again something that it's not.
- 1:31:03Speaker 11: I'm not hiding anything. This is I didn't even think
- 1:31:05Speaker 11: this would be a deal. Quite frankly, this is just
- 1:31:07Speaker 11: again bonus material, behind the scenes stuff like for instance,
- 1:31:10Speaker 11: the clip we played of Insane Clouds clown Puss. You
- 1:31:12Speaker 11: talked about cart Narks, Well, we talked about that on
- 1:31:14Speaker 11: the air last month. This is just me kind of
- 1:31:16Speaker 11: delving into that, discussing it for super fans.
- 1:31:18Speaker 22: This is just.
- 1:31:20Speaker 11: Exactly this is DVD extras. This is bonus material for fan.
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: So I know.
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: But like again, the argument is cart Narks, which is
- 1:31:28Speaker 4: a company whatever.
- 1:31:30Speaker 11: Which the company has, through an agreement, allowed me to
- 1:31:32Speaker 11: keep the money of in.
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: Fact that who cares?
- 1:31:36Speaker 9: But that I know?
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: But that okay, all right?
- 1:31:38Speaker 18: Like that?
- 1:31:38Speaker 4: You know, look, I was, I was. I was already
- 1:31:40Speaker 4: in my meeting about it because they're like, well, what
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: do you know? I don't know anything about it? A
- 1:31:43Speaker 4: greater point, I don't know anything about it. First off,
- 1:31:45Speaker 4: again easily explainable. This is not not paywalling the material.
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: It's all out there for free. But why is the
- 1:31:50Speaker 4: company's first response, we don't want you making money because
- 1:31:56Speaker 4: it's something that they own, right, I understand that, But
- 1:31:58Speaker 4: but we've already had that talk. We've already had that agreement,
- 1:32:00Speaker 4: and again I took a large pay cut as part
- 1:32:02Speaker 4: of that agreement, very large. So why is their first response,
- 1:32:07Speaker 4: We don't want you succeeding. We want to clamp down
- 1:32:10Speaker 4: on something that again is not a big I think
- 1:32:12Speaker 4: you asked them that just like that.
- 1:32:13Speaker 3: I should think that that's that's a response.
- 1:32:16Speaker 11: The response should be, and should have always been when
- 1:32:19Speaker 11: you got something like this that pops off, is hey,
- 1:32:21Speaker 11: how can we help you grow expand make this better?
- 1:32:24Speaker 11: Not hey let's shut this down? For again, for no
- 1:32:26Speaker 11: reason that I can.
- 1:32:27Speaker 4: Undersand like if I if I decided to do like
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: a Woodie show behind the scenes and through Patreon, like
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: they wouldn't be cool that right.
- 1:32:35Speaker 11: But you've already but you've already had the conversation again,
- 1:32:38Speaker 11: this is already part of my deal that card Knark's
- 1:32:40Speaker 11: income is mine.
- 1:32:41Speaker 4: That's not news. Yeah again, I think, well, well, I
- 1:32:44Speaker 4: think you'll have the Yeah, you'll have the conver I do.
- 1:32:46Speaker 4: I see, I do see both sides. I see, I
- 1:32:49Speaker 4: see what you're saying.
- 1:32:50Speaker 11: I literally gave them tens of thousands of dollars back
- 1:32:53Speaker 11: so that I could have this incentive and for them
- 1:32:55Speaker 11: to be done that.
- 1:32:56Speaker 4: But that was the that was the YouTube care because.
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: That's what the agreement was. From the understanding is that
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: was what the agreement was. I have a question, how
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: do you spell Patreon? Because I get for Tron.
- 1:33:10Speaker 5: Again.
- 1:33:10Speaker 11: I'll have this conversation. But it is disturbing that their
- 1:33:12Speaker 11: first move is no, stop it. We don't want you
- 1:33:14Speaker 11: to succeed, to succeed. Yeah, no, I get that.
- 1:33:17Speaker 3: That's that's that's unnerving. Always like it's because you get
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: like the I don't want to be an agist, but
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: like when you get older people in charge, they don't
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: understand it, so they just shut it.
- 1:33:28Speaker 11: Down exactly, and that there should be hey can we
- 1:33:31Speaker 11: help you?
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: How can we make this happen? This happened. You just
- 1:33:33Speaker 3: went with this for the Dubai trip.
- 1:33:35Speaker 11: Their first move was no, stop, how can we stop
- 1:33:38Speaker 11: this from happening? When again, it was a great event.
- 1:33:41Speaker 11: I loved it. It was great for Menace, great for everybody.
- 1:33:43Speaker 11: But the first move from the company was it, how
- 1:33:45Speaker 11: can we help you make this happen? It was no,
- 1:33:47Speaker 11: how can we stop this?
- 1:33:48Speaker 4: Well, I see the argument on both sides. I don't
- 1:33:51Speaker 4: see the argument on their side. Well, it'd be like
- 1:33:53Speaker 4: if I decided to sell their airtime.
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: But it's not like that.
- 1:33:57Speaker 4: It is because you didn't have your own They own
- 1:34:00Speaker 4: which the brand, which is Cartners, which the intellectual property correcch.
- 1:34:04Speaker 4: We already have an agreement about this is This isn't
- 1:34:06Speaker 4: like I'm breaking new ground here. This is a several
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: years I'll give it. I'll give you an example because
- 1:34:11Speaker 4: I went through this on one of the contracts. Whatever
- 1:34:13Speaker 4: social media we already had set up before we got here,
- 1:34:16Speaker 4: was stuff that we still have ownership of anything that
- 1:34:21Speaker 4: was created any social So yes, I do have ownership
- 1:34:23Speaker 4: of a social media account at the Woodie Show for
- 1:34:27Speaker 4: different things. But say we sent something else up not
- 1:34:31Speaker 4: over that social media account, right, But again, this agreement
- 1:34:34Speaker 4: already has been discussed.
- 1:34:35Speaker 3: I'm rooting for you. It doesn't sound like it. I
- 1:34:38Speaker 3: just said, I see both sides.
- 1:34:39Speaker 4: I could see where if they own something, they don't
- 1:34:41Speaker 4: want somebody else making money on something that they own,
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: because that's what they're in business for.
- 1:34:45Speaker 3: We've already had that talk for the YouTube. I've already
- 1:34:48Speaker 3: given them tens of thousands.
- 1:34:49Speaker 4: Of dollars back for that talk for the YouTube. Who
- 1:34:52Speaker 4: cares what they'll care about? Who cares day care? I
- 1:34:56Speaker 4: think that's the point.
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: Anything they care about hiding.
- 1:34:58Speaker 11: The material this is simply bonus stuff.
- 1:35:00Speaker 3: And I said this before when this was first discussed. Now,
- 1:35:03Speaker 3: Sea Bass I, this is something definitely I would love
- 1:35:06Speaker 3: to do as well. But I definitely would have a
- 1:35:08Speaker 3: discussion first, and it would be a really hard conversation
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: to explain, you know, sometimes why it's a benefit for everybody? Yeah,
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: because it normally what are you talking about me? It's
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: why do they care?
- 1:35:20Speaker 11: Because again, this is this is nothing that affects anybody
- 1:35:22Speaker 11: they are chasing down.
- 1:35:23Speaker 4: I'm just telling I'll give you example, is they chase
- 1:35:25Speaker 4: down every single dollar, you know, like you know why
- 1:35:29Speaker 4: they care?
- 1:35:29Speaker 3: Yeah, let's make dollars together, that's why.
- 1:35:33Speaker 11: But I had that conversation. In fact, I had a
- 1:35:35Speaker 11: meeting with our old muggy MUCKs about this, and I
- 1:35:39Speaker 11: brought in a professional said hey, man, we're this is
- 1:35:41Speaker 11: a lot of this has got a lot of heat
- 1:35:42Speaker 11: on it. What's some stuff we could do with this?
- 1:35:44Speaker 11: Had that meeting, had that discussion. One person here who
- 1:35:48Speaker 11: doesn't work here anymore got I guess got fired or whatever,
- 1:35:51Speaker 11: and said, no, I want to do something else, which
- 1:35:52Speaker 11: she never did, never happened. It was, but it was
- 1:35:55Speaker 11: not how can we make this happen?
- 1:35:57Speaker 3: It was how can we stop this? Yeah?
- 1:35:58Speaker 4: Well, I know they do partnerships with other people in
- 1:36:02Speaker 4: the company. Charlotte made the Gods one that I can
- 1:36:05Speaker 4: point to where it comes to like the books or
- 1:36:07Speaker 4: hosting different shows or what there Although there was one
- 1:36:11Speaker 4: example and I'm not going to use a name, and
- 1:36:12Speaker 4: I'm not going to give you too many specifics, but
- 1:36:14Speaker 4: just kind of an idea, is that one of the
- 1:36:15Speaker 4: hosts on company radio station got offered to have involvement
- 1:36:22Speaker 4: in this TV show and they go, well, I mean
- 1:36:25Speaker 4: you could do it, but they kept eighty percent of
- 1:36:28Speaker 4: what he was paid for doing this show because he
- 1:36:32Speaker 4: had a contract that said that he was you know,
- 1:36:35Speaker 4: media exclusive to whatever. So eighty percent, eighty percent went
- 1:36:40Speaker 4: to and he did it because he felt it goes
- 1:36:42Speaker 4: would be good for his brand, right, like to get
- 1:36:45Speaker 4: his name out there or whatever.
- 1:36:47Speaker 11: But yeah, he kept twenty percent. Well that's a terrible
- 1:36:50Speaker 11: move by him. But again, we already have had this conversation.
- 1:36:54Speaker 11: This is not news to anybody. Yeah, about YouTube again,
- 1:36:58Speaker 11: what's the difference here I'm giving I'm giving you a
- 1:37:01Speaker 11: preview of House. I can tell you I thought it
- 1:37:03Speaker 11: was all Cartnark's digital. Why would why would this be
- 1:37:05Speaker 11: again this twenty two dollars? Why would that be any difference. Well,
- 1:37:09Speaker 11: that's the whole problem. Is I really need to Well,
- 1:37:12Speaker 11: my Giant pay cut was in writing. Again Giant, I'll
- 1:37:16Speaker 11: tell you a number. Fifty thousand dollars a year is
- 1:37:19Speaker 11: in writing. I don't get from this company anymore, and
- 1:37:22Speaker 11: they want me to then when I have a little
- 1:37:24Speaker 11: a little bit of incentive, a little bit of incentive
- 1:37:26Speaker 11: to try some stuff, do some stuff. Again, this is
- 1:37:28Speaker 11: just extra added value content. This is not I'm not
- 1:37:31Speaker 11: hiding you know, hey to see the full video go
- 1:37:33Speaker 11: blah blah blah blah. This is just bonus material that
- 1:37:36Speaker 11: that that their instinct is to squash it or quash
- 1:37:38Speaker 11: it is really really troubling.
- 1:37:40Speaker 4: I will see how that. We'll see, Like you know,
- 1:37:45Speaker 4: I'm in these stupid, dumb convers the dumbest conversations you
- 1:37:48Speaker 4: can imagine. It's a it's radio, right, and so you
- 1:37:50Speaker 4: have these conversations and it's like, this is what we're
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: spending all of our time.
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: I thought we were a tech company.
- 1:37:55Speaker 13: Minutes.
- 1:37:55Speaker 3: Yeah, tech companies do not at this company, but a
- 1:37:59Speaker 3: previous company. I got pulling the office. Why are you
- 1:38:01Speaker 3: so focused on putting the radio station on YouTube and
- 1:38:05Speaker 3: Facebook and Twitter? We really need to re evaluate your time.
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: That that was how it worked years ago, because people
- 1:38:15Speaker 4: were going to places like YouTube or other podcast platforms,
- 1:38:18Speaker 4: and uh, we would post videos that we did on
- 1:38:21Speaker 4: YouTube and they go no, no, no, no, can't post on YouTube.
- 1:38:24Speaker 4: It has to be hosted by the company's uh website.
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: They get that.
- 1:38:31Speaker 4: Yeah, so they get that that.
- 1:38:32Speaker 11: Little bomb by the way, that's what they wanted to
- 1:38:34Speaker 11: do with a Gronkowski cruise video. And I said to them,
- 1:38:37Speaker 11: especially if the idiot Mike the Show Killer. At the time,
- 1:38:39Speaker 11: I said, look, uh, this video will get no traction
- 1:38:42Speaker 11: on our proprietary media player. I'm putting it on YouTube.
- 1:38:46Speaker 11: F off, And what happened. It was on barstool and
- 1:38:49Speaker 11: ESPN and all these other things, because that's how these
- 1:38:51Speaker 11: things spread. So at least we're not at that level anymore,
- 1:38:54Speaker 11: thank god. But the Mic the Show Killer, I've heard
- 1:38:58Speaker 11: newmem or from numerous people. Oh, I found Woody Show
- 1:39:00Speaker 11: through cart narks because our little logos on there. It's
- 1:39:03Speaker 11: in all the bios it says ass heard on the
- 1:39:04Speaker 11: Woody Show.
- 1:39:05Speaker 3: It's said.
- 1:39:05Speaker 11: So for them to like again this is this, this,
- 1:39:08Speaker 11: this idea of squash and crimp and kill is is
- 1:39:12Speaker 11: just anti creative and anti productive.
- 1:39:14Speaker 4: I mean, I will say I would have maybe had
- 1:39:16Speaker 4: the conversation I maybe I would have had basically from
- 1:39:19Speaker 4: all the other things that I've heard, if I had
- 1:39:22Speaker 4: some new any kind of thing that involved revenue whatsoever,
- 1:39:25Speaker 4: like when we started, for example, when we started the
- 1:39:27Speaker 4: Woody Show merch thing, right, I'd explain that to them
- 1:39:31Speaker 4: and about how you know, nothing that comes in from
- 1:39:33Speaker 4: that because we're not really we're not making quote any
- 1:39:35Speaker 4: money on it. The money that does get quote made
- 1:39:38Speaker 4: on that goes to keep the website up, goes to
- 1:39:40Speaker 4: keep the people who are doing the things for the
- 1:39:43Speaker 4: site covered. So we break you there's no nobody's making
- 1:39:47Speaker 4: any money. But nobody was making anything personally. But I
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: had to have that conversation up front because they do
- 1:39:52Speaker 4: care about that.
- 1:39:53Speaker 11: That's that was my idea, is that I thought we
- 1:39:54Speaker 11: already had this conversation. I thought this was part of
- 1:39:57Speaker 11: my quote unquote deal. I didn't didn't eve popped in
- 1:40:00Speaker 11: my head that anyone would even care. Quite frankly, yeah,
- 1:40:03Speaker 11: well I guess we'll see how it goes. Because that
- 1:40:05Speaker 11: was that was the way to start the first day
- 1:40:07Speaker 11: after break. It was like, well, that's a that's a third,
- 1:40:09Speaker 11: that's a third point is that Why not just pop
- 1:40:11Speaker 11: in and say, hey, what's going on with this? I
- 1:40:12Speaker 11: explained how it's just bonus material, blah blah blah, it's
- 1:40:14Speaker 11: totally voluntary, and you.
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: Got to be a big meeting, a big thing. Why
- 1:40:17Speaker 3: is this? Why is this an issue? People?
- 1:40:19Speaker 4: Because anything that has like there was a question about
- 1:40:21Speaker 4: what was he doing in that performance.
- 1:40:22Speaker 3: Dudent like, I don't know.
- 1:40:24Speaker 11: That's fully, that's I mean a friendship sketch.
- 1:40:29Speaker 3: I don't I don't know. I don't know.
- 1:40:31Speaker 9: I think that if I was in management, I would
- 1:40:34Speaker 9: applaud the go get go get out.
- 1:40:37Speaker 3: That was my point, said, hey, how can we help you?
- 1:40:40Speaker 3: What can we do?
- 1:40:41Speaker 11: Can we have We've got these connections here? Can we
- 1:40:43Speaker 11: set up a menion for you?
- 1:40:44Speaker 4: Keep in mind there's money and they don't know how
- 1:40:46Speaker 4: much or how little. So when there's money and I'll
- 1:40:48Speaker 4: tell you twenty two dollars, right, but there's money involved,
- 1:40:50Speaker 4: but that then there is their interest.
- 1:40:52Speaker 9: I flip the script. It's always like, oh what money.
- 1:40:55Speaker 9: We don't know what you're talking about. There's no money.
- 1:40:58Speaker 3: This is not a.
- 1:40:58Speaker 4: Growth mindset people, seven forty four Wooding. You can text
- 1:41:03Speaker 4: us if you like over to two two nine eight seven.
- 1:41:05Speaker 4: I'd pick good money to be left off of phone
- 1:41:07Speaker 4: calls and emails all together.
- 1:41:10Speaker 7: Wouldn't that be nice?
- 1:41:10Speaker 4: Oh my god, it'd be fantastic.
- 1:41:13Speaker 9: Just tell them you got you gotta work on that,
- 1:41:15Speaker 9: just saying you know what we got five minutes?
- 1:41:18Speaker 3: Cool?
- 1:41:18Speaker 9: What do you got we'll talk about it later. I
- 1:41:20Speaker 9: have nothing to do with it. I don't know.
- 1:41:22Speaker 4: And then we'll have the week in audio that will
- 1:41:25Speaker 4: be coming up next year on The Woody Show.
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: Hang on the Woody Show. We'll be right back.
- 1:41:30Speaker 7: Also in the news, sources say there's a possibility of
- 1:41:33Speaker 7: Woody's hemorrhoids being back on this development and.
- 1:41:38Speaker 3: Give you the latest updates.

- 1:42:12Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, yes, year.
- 1:42:14Speaker 3: What do you say, t Mizzle? I missed you so much? Yeah, babe,
- 1:42:20Speaker 3: I know aabes. We had all these plants like hangout
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: and whatever. He was busy. I was bit like it
- 1:42:26Speaker 3: was crazy. This is the schedules.
- 1:42:28Speaker 23: Schedules couldn't couldn't collide, and I got sick everywhere else
- 1:42:34Speaker 23: I told you, like I've known so many people, like
- 1:42:36Speaker 23: the flu thing is really going around it?
- 1:42:38Speaker 3: Is it the a flu? A?
- 1:42:39Speaker 7: Yeah? And apparently everyone got the wrong vaccine.
- 1:42:43Speaker 3: Is that right? Wait, there's a there's a letter for
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: this flu.
- 1:42:45Speaker 7: Yeah, it's always air b oh, gotcha, gotcha?
- 1:42:48Speaker 4: Okay, this one's just a okay.
- 1:42:51Speaker 3: I got the flu.
- 1:42:53Speaker 4: As much as we love to chop it up some
- 1:42:55Speaker 4: more with DJ Tim Martinez today, he's on a very
- 1:42:57Speaker 4: tight schedule for his other responsibilities around here at the
- 1:43:02Speaker 4: radio station. Our friends, he doesn't have time for us.
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: That is not true to take that he's got. He's
- 1:43:09Speaker 3: got very little time for us. This was his one job.
- 1:43:12Speaker 4: So we're just gonna have to kind of get right
- 1:43:14Speaker 4: to let's do it, yeah, right to it. All right,
- 1:43:16Speaker 4: But it is good to see.
- 1:43:17Speaker 3: You, my friend. I love you. Guys.
- 1:43:18Speaker 9: Great.
- 1:43:19Speaker 4: We're looking forward to some really fun stuff that's happening
- 1:43:21Speaker 4: this year with the Woody Show, which you know, Tim
- 1:43:23Speaker 4: and I are discussing different things because Tim's kind of
- 1:43:25Speaker 4: the guy that you do like wood you show prom
- 1:43:27Speaker 4: or do some of.
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: These other things like that makes it happen. Tim is
- 1:43:30Speaker 3: the muscle behind those ye logistics. He is very little muscle,
- 1:43:34Speaker 3: but yeah, some days. Yeah.
- 1:43:35Speaker 4: Anyway, So DJ Tim Martinez back in the day was
- 1:43:38Speaker 4: a club DJ, and so we put him in charge
- 1:43:40Speaker 4: of picking the songs that would go back in the
- 1:43:42Speaker 4: day with here up in the club and what he
- 1:43:45Speaker 4: got for us today, Tim Martinez.
- 1:43:46Speaker 23: We are going to the Lovely Year of two thousand
- 1:43:49Speaker 23: and two. We're doing Satisfaction. Benny Bonassi, all.
- 1:43:53Speaker 3: Right, show.
- 1:44:02Speaker 4: Satisfaction, satisffectation up in the club.
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: It is back Thursday. It is the one to show.
- 1:44:10Speaker 4: D J Tim Martin, do you have a new Year's resolution?
- 1:44:17Speaker 4: I would like any kind of like goal for the year?
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: I do not, you do not?
- 1:44:21Speaker 12: All right?
- 1:44:21Speaker 23: No, I tackle every year the same way I tackle
- 1:44:26Speaker 23: every other year.
- 1:44:27Speaker 4: Is there just one particular that you're looking forward to?
- 1:44:30Speaker 4: I always have to have something to look forward.
- 1:44:31Speaker 7: To, spending more time with us.
- 1:44:34Speaker 4: I mean, honestly, if you have a big trip you're planning.
- 1:44:36Speaker 3: Or you know what.
- 1:44:38Speaker 4: Actually, yes, I want to Uh, he's looking forward to
- 1:44:41Speaker 4: going to another Dodgers World Series.
- 1:44:43Speaker 12: There.
- 1:44:43Speaker 23: I mean, we are going to do a three p
- 1:44:45Speaker 23: but we'll get to that later in the year. But
- 1:44:47Speaker 23: there's a lot of home improvements that.
- 1:44:52Speaker 3: Artiday.
- 1:44:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I know that's now you're talking. See, now we
- 1:44:56Speaker 4: have to get a lunch on the books. I'm going
- 1:44:57Speaker 4: to go to disgust these home improvement projects the yard, right,
- 1:45:00Speaker 4: Greg and I are very true. God, you just got
- 1:45:02Speaker 4: me horny.
- 1:45:04Speaker 3: You better get out of here before Greg bang. Yeah,
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: that's what happened.
- 1:45:07Speaker 4: No, he's got it. He's got to get he's got
- 1:45:09Speaker 4: stuff to do today. He's on a like I said,
- 1:45:10Speaker 4: a very tight schedule.
- 1:45:11Speaker 3: But it was great. Senior guys, love you. Yeah, you
- 1:45:14Speaker 3: can't wait to talk next week.
- 1:45:15Speaker 4: DJ Tim Martinez, everybody the Woody Show.
- 1:45:22Speaker 3: Yeah, moving right along. We got this week in audio
- 1:45:26Speaker 3: that is.
- 1:45:26Speaker 11: I gotta ask you about this video and audio from
- 1:45:29Speaker 11: Chris Red. He's a former Sarnate Live member. He was
- 1:45:32Speaker 11: d twenty seventeen to twenty twenty two.
- 1:45:34Speaker 4: You play like jay Z and rappers and yeah, yeah,
- 1:45:38Speaker 4: but the name doesn't sound familiar.
- 1:45:39Speaker 6: To right the picture.
- 1:45:40Speaker 3: Well, but he's stated in the news for one reason.
- 1:45:44Speaker 11: Yeah, he made this weird admission among others on Instagram
- 1:45:47Speaker 11: this week.
- 1:45:47Speaker 24: Okay, while I was at the show, I had some
- 1:45:49Speaker 24: pill issues.
- 1:45:50Speaker 3: You know, I have some pill problems.
- 1:45:52Speaker 24: Nothing, nothing too crazy but crazy for my black ass.
- 1:45:55Speaker 24: You know, and I was even selling something to the people,
- 1:45:59Speaker 24: So some of I'm not gonna I'm not gonnach you
- 1:46:03Speaker 24: just did.
- 1:46:04Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:46:04Speaker 3: Oh he left out the one part why he's stayed
- 1:46:07Speaker 3: in the news in the past couple of years after leading,
- 1:46:08Speaker 3: because he was dating like Keenan Thompson's ex wife.
- 1:46:11Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:46:12Speaker 3: I think they're still the gather.
- 1:46:13Speaker 11: Well, regardless when you say I sold pills to my
- 1:46:15Speaker 11: cast members, but I'm not going to tell you who
- 1:46:17Speaker 11: guess what, people are gonna start asking.
- 1:46:19Speaker 4: Yeah, they're gonna look at everybody that you were on
- 1:46:21Speaker 4: the cast.
- 1:46:21Speaker 11: Yeah, every interview from now on, those people, that's I
- 1:46:27Speaker 11: feel like that's a that's a street foul man, that's
- 1:46:29Speaker 11: what you say.
- 1:46:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I don't know. They like they in
- 1:46:36Speaker 3: the in the streets. They always love to keep everything
- 1:46:39Speaker 3: super vague, which annoys the f out of me when
- 1:46:42Speaker 3: it comes to like rap beefs and all this kind
- 1:46:44Speaker 3: of stuff like this sub tweeting. If you're gonna talk
- 1:46:46Speaker 3: about it, talk about just talk about it. That's the worst.
- 1:46:49Speaker 3: I sold pills to Pete Davidson.
- 1:46:50Speaker 24: Yeah.
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: Yeah, everything is always so vague. Or if there's like
- 1:46:54Speaker 3: a medical issue with somebody in the streets. You never
- 1:46:57Speaker 3: know what's happening with them.
- 1:46:58Speaker 4: Did anybody catch that, uh, that commercial with Pete Davidson
- 1:47:01Speaker 4: for I think it's for Alexa or whatever it is. Yeah,
- 1:47:04Speaker 4: and Amazon, you know, maybe not Pete, how about something else?
- 1:47:07Speaker 4: And they keep going through all these different names and
- 1:47:09Speaker 4: they say, what about calling you big D?
- 1:47:12Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:47:13Speaker 4: I picked up on that. You know, everybody's talked about
- 1:47:16Speaker 4: like how he's got he's got a big D. But
- 1:47:20Speaker 4: then he didn't he come out and say like he
- 1:47:22Speaker 4: was tired of people. But yet that's in the commerce.
- 1:47:26Speaker 4: He loves it. I love it. If there's a rumor
- 1:47:28Speaker 4: out there about me, well I wouldn't want something about
- 1:47:30Speaker 4: I sold. I sold pills and stuff to people.
- 1:47:32Speaker 3: In his comedy special, he said that was like, actually
- 1:47:37Speaker 3: like that, Ariana Grande is an evil genius by some
- 1:47:40Speaker 3: built them up because after he started like dating other people,
- 1:47:45Speaker 3: they would be disappointed, like, hey, every time minute takes
- 1:47:48Speaker 3: you on a date, he spends five thousand dollars on you.
- 1:47:52Speaker 4: But maybe maybe it is bigger than average. It's just
- 1:47:55Speaker 4: because now it's been built up, especially her iners. Yeah,
- 1:47:59Speaker 4: it's true. Yeah, she's like when they're doing it, she
- 1:48:02Speaker 4: looks like a rat data.
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:48:09Speaker 9: Rat Yeah, you know, you knew where I was going. Yeah,
- 1:48:12Speaker 9: she's real tiny sea mats.
- 1:48:15Speaker 11: This weekend audio, this guy came out and he was
- 1:48:17Speaker 11: not subtle about what he was saying. This is on
- 1:48:19Speaker 11: ITV in the UK and here they are introducing their
- 1:48:22Speaker 11: next guest.
- 1:48:23Speaker 4: And with the every UK penis size around five point
- 1:48:26Speaker 4: two inches, our next guest measures up to just zero.
- 1:48:30Speaker 7: Point three eight inches.
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: For comparison, that's about the size of.
- 1:48:33Speaker 7: Garden pay.
- 1:48:35Speaker 4: A golden tape.
- 1:48:37Speaker 3: Wait, you're going on public television. Yes, he is.
- 1:48:41Speaker 11: It's actually an American from North Carolina who's got might
- 1:48:45Speaker 11: be the world's smallest penis, and he is going He
- 1:48:48Speaker 11: sat like that for like a nine minute interview on
- 1:48:50Speaker 11: ITV and here he is talking about well, he's spreading awareness,
- 1:48:53Speaker 11: as they all say, you got to be aware of things.
- 1:48:56Speaker 3: I got to see that.
- 1:48:58Speaker 11: Well you can just imagine because he talks about just
- 1:49:00Speaker 11: the day to day problems of having a tiny point
- 1:49:02Speaker 11: three eight inch penis.
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: Oh my god, how does be size your penis affect
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: your day to day life?
- 1:49:08Speaker 3: What sort of impacts does it have?
- 1:49:11Speaker 5: Well?
- 1:49:11Speaker 4: I pee on my balls a lot.
- 1:49:14Speaker 7: Straight out?
- 1:49:18Speaker 9: Is that right?
- 1:49:20Speaker 3: I'm just making a joke, does beside.
- 1:49:25Speaker 2: Your penis affect your day to day life.
- 1:49:27Speaker 3: What sort of impacts does it.
- 1:49:28Speaker 17: Have aside from like the not being able to like
- 1:49:33Speaker 17: like I can't go out have a one night stand,
- 1:49:35Speaker 17: I can't go out and do things like that. But
- 1:49:38Speaker 17: it also affects you with your ability to use the restaurroom,
- 1:49:42Speaker 17: your confidence.
- 1:49:43Speaker 9: Because you can't you and it's standing up, can you?
- 1:49:46Speaker 17: No, even even sitting down can be tricky with clean
- 1:49:49Speaker 17: up and everything.
- 1:49:50Speaker 3: But really the free trip to be on the TV
- 1:49:54Speaker 3: show right, even.
- 1:49:55Speaker 4: Then women women, when they said at least kind of
- 1:49:59Speaker 4: points down on the back, right, He's going to say.
- 1:50:01Speaker 7: It would be even harder for him to do.
- 1:50:02Speaker 4: It water feature, So picture just having like a little
- 1:50:05Speaker 4: snack pointing straight out. So as a dude, if you're
- 1:50:08Speaker 4: sitting you it's not long enough. He doesn't have any
- 1:50:13Speaker 4: length enough to be able to to aim it down,
- 1:50:15Speaker 4: to push it down, have to lean forward.
- 1:50:17Speaker 11: Here's a massage table with a whole Yeah, totally a bucket.
- 1:50:22Speaker 11: He's not like a super suave dude anyways, of a
- 1:50:25Speaker 11: little bit, that's.
- 1:50:26Speaker 4: Not the only thing keeping him from a one night stand.
- 1:50:28Speaker 3: Yeah, but I'm looking up online like what the actual
- 1:50:32Speaker 3: like what it looks like on the length at least
- 1:50:35Speaker 3: a ruler just to see how long that actually is.
- 1:50:39Speaker 3: It's mad small. It's a garden pee like this. Yeah.
- 1:50:41Speaker 11: Wow, now he's been again, This guy Michael from North Carolina.
- 1:50:45Speaker 11: He's he's trying to get out there to number one
- 1:50:47Speaker 11: hopefully I guess get a date maybe, but number two
- 1:50:50Speaker 11: are talking about ways that could maybe be helped somehow.
- 1:50:53Speaker 2: Have you investigated all the different options.
- 1:50:56Speaker 17: Most of the options that they do orren't, like increasing
- 1:51:00Speaker 17: your size or like either like liposuction down there or
- 1:51:05Speaker 17: like cutting a ligament where so that it can hang
- 1:51:07Speaker 17: a little bit farther down. But in every instance, whatever
- 1:51:12Speaker 17: they did, I would still like the max you can
- 1:51:15Speaker 17: gain is like an inch inch and a half, And
- 1:51:17Speaker 17: I'd still be like, what is under micro penis?
- 1:51:21Speaker 4: Say, dude, you're under an inch?
- 1:51:22Speaker 9: Yeah, under half an inch? Right, look at the ruler.
- 1:51:27Speaker 3: That's a vagina.
- 1:51:30Speaker 9: That's nothing. Take a inch, dude.
- 1:51:32Speaker 4: Okay, So question for the ladies. You know, there might
- 1:51:35Speaker 4: be a curiosity factor if someone's really big, like just
- 1:51:37Speaker 4: to you know, just because it's more of a curiosity.
- 1:51:40Speaker 4: Would there be any kind of you hear about somebody
- 1:51:43Speaker 4: who's got like, oh my god, it's got such a
- 1:51:44Speaker 4: tiny penis. Would that have any kind of curiosity factor
- 1:51:47Speaker 4: for you?
- 1:51:48Speaker 7: I mean it wouldn't like get me all like no horned.
- 1:51:51Speaker 3: No no, but you still want to, like definitely want to.
- 1:51:54Speaker 7: I want to see right now.
- 1:51:56Speaker 4: Would you like agree to go out with them just
- 1:51:58Speaker 4: for the idea that you might be able to see it?
- 1:52:00Speaker 3: Yeah, knowing that there's probably not in it for you.
- 1:52:03Speaker 7: I would just for the morbid curiosity. I also would
- 1:52:05Speaker 7: like to think, Now, this guy like Sea Beast pointing
- 1:52:07Speaker 7: out doesn't sound like a real Romeo, but I'd like
- 1:52:10Speaker 7: to think that he's cultivated a good hand in mouth game.
- 1:52:13Speaker 3: After you have to Now, I wonder Joe has a question.
- 1:52:17Speaker 11: Now the other question is is if he shows it
- 1:52:20Speaker 11: to you, do then give him a pity whatever?
- 1:52:22Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:52:22Speaker 14: That's the thing is, like Gina, I would be very curious,
- 1:52:25Speaker 14: but I couldn't go out with him with the chance
- 1:52:27Speaker 14: of seeing it because I can't hide the look on
- 1:52:30Speaker 14: my face right like that.
- 1:52:32Speaker 6: Whatever my instant reaction is would be what it is.
- 1:52:35Speaker 14: Whether it's laughing, whether it's horrified, whether it's normal, I
- 1:52:38Speaker 14: don't know, And I can't.
- 1:52:39Speaker 6: Risk that, I think.
- 1:52:40Speaker 4: But I think if you have that penis like you'll
- 1:52:43Speaker 4: take whatever reaction you get, because at least somebody's yeah,
- 1:52:47Speaker 4: and to.
- 1:52:47Speaker 7: Give it a mouth party, you would really just have
- 1:52:49Speaker 7: to like flick it.
- 1:52:50Speaker 3: If I'm this guy, I'm instantly just going to OnlyFans.
- 1:52:53Speaker 3: I'm gonna become a millionaire and I will have I
- 1:52:56Speaker 3: will have some born stars that are going to sleep
- 1:52:58Speaker 3: with me just to make the video.
- 1:52:59Speaker 11: I don't even think it would be gay for a
- 1:53:00Speaker 11: guy to do hands stuff with him, Like it'd be
- 1:53:02Speaker 11: like rubbing a.
- 1:53:03Speaker 3: Yes, I would pay his fans just so I could
- 1:53:06Speaker 3: see it this week in audio.
- 1:53:08Speaker 11: Okay, a man, you guys, I know from Christmas Day
- 1:53:12Speaker 11: we were all headed to Ghana to hide from the
- 1:53:15Speaker 11: flood that was coming right right now.
- 1:53:17Speaker 3: Well that's what Ebo Noah did.
- 1:53:18Speaker 11: He he's a guy, he's a sort of like a
- 1:53:20Speaker 11: street preacher, claimed he was building arcs in Ghana for
- 1:53:23Speaker 11: Christmas Day, big flood up. Hundreds of thousands of people
- 1:53:27Speaker 11: showed up and no flood happened. So he went back
- 1:53:31Speaker 11: on his social media's and said, well hold on, chill out,
- 1:53:34Speaker 11: we got we got a little more time.
- 1:53:35Speaker 3: And through my prayers.
- 1:53:37Speaker 2: I've got an Asian division quote has.
- 1:53:40Speaker 25: Given us some time to build more apps. In addition
- 1:53:47Speaker 25: to that, King, so please stay home, enjoy yourself.
- 1:53:52Speaker 3: Okay, have fun.
- 1:53:53Speaker 2: I'm wishing all of you merry.
- 1:53:56Speaker 25: Christmas and a happy New Year.
- 1:53:59Speaker 3: Yeah, b psyched, we don't.
- 1:54:00Speaker 2: Read all this.
- 1:54:00Speaker 7: Yeah, what a lucky break for all of us that
- 1:54:02Speaker 7: he got a new vision that we have more time.
- 1:54:04Speaker 11: Well his vision didn't include him getting arrested, because that's
- 1:54:06Speaker 11: what happened. Apparently these arcs that he was taking videos
- 1:54:09Speaker 11: were either CG or some like boats that he worked
- 1:54:12Speaker 11: as a guard for, not as an actual arc that.
- 1:54:15Speaker 3: He was building, but I scamming.
- 1:54:16Speaker 11: But still the fact that hundreds of thousands of people
- 1:54:19Speaker 11: just were like, okay.
- 1:54:20Speaker 4: All right, I'll go on a pilgrimage, and that that's
- 1:54:23Speaker 4: even crazier to show up for. I think the same
- 1:54:25Speaker 4: thing when you see these things on the news every
- 1:54:26Speaker 4: once in a while where it's a it's a whatever
- 1:54:28Speaker 4: festival and there's people dressed up like and you know,
- 1:54:31Speaker 4: like right around uh you know, they have like what
- 1:54:34Speaker 4: is it like like the Octoberfest kind of thing, you know,
- 1:54:37Speaker 4: and people up in these.
- 1:54:37Speaker 9: Different like later hosen.
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm trying to think there was just one on
- 1:54:41Speaker 3: TV recently. I'm like, who shows up for that? Who
- 1:54:44Speaker 3: goes that? Looks like a good time?
- 1:54:46Speaker 9: Somebody for everything?
- 1:54:48Speaker 4: The whatever festival.
- 1:54:49Speaker 7: I do love a good festival, but like are like
- 1:54:52Speaker 7: the Douda parade or whatever. He's dressed all nutty.
- 1:54:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you left the house for That's from
- 1:55:00Speaker 3: somebody who doesn't leave the house for much of any Yeah.
- 1:55:02Speaker 4: Eighth tennis text check in over to ninety seven. We'll
- 1:55:08Speaker 4: get back to the weekend audio next.
- 1:55:09Speaker 3: Hang up the show.
- 1:55:16Speaker 4: There's been a lot of talk about UH Dollywood on
- 1:55:19Speaker 4: this show. Yes, over the years, I've never been to Dolly.
- 1:55:22Speaker 3: Have you been the Dolly one? I have not. I
- 1:55:24Speaker 3: would love to go, and I was. It's weird. I
- 1:55:26Speaker 3: was doing some UH listener research and some of our
- 1:55:29Speaker 3: listeners are interested in going to Dollywood. Well, no, I know,
- 1:55:32Speaker 3: because your good things about it.
- 1:55:35Speaker 7: I'm not surprised to I have an announcement. I'm probably
- 1:55:38Speaker 7: going this spring for the first you are Yes, you're
- 1:55:41Speaker 7: an adult for literally twenty years. I can't believe fills
- 1:55:45Speaker 7: gift cards to it.
- 1:55:46Speaker 3: Oh jeseus, let them do it. I have as you
- 1:55:48Speaker 3: might imagine.
- 1:55:49Speaker 4: I grew up sort of near the area.
- 1:55:50Speaker 11: I've been to Pigeon Forge a couple of times, which
- 1:55:52Speaker 11: is like the area run and it's all if it's
- 1:55:54Speaker 11: like Brandson, Missouri ish, very touristy, in a in a
- 1:55:58Speaker 11: quaint folks folksy and trashy. So if you're into like
- 1:56:03Speaker 11: low pressure folksy trashiness, it is. It's not easy to
- 1:56:07Speaker 11: get to because it's way up in East Tennessee Beaver Veil. Yeah,
- 1:56:10Speaker 11: it's way, way, way out of the way.
- 1:56:12Speaker 4: But yeah, we have something here involving Dollywood for the
- 1:56:14Speaker 4: weekend audio.
- 1:56:15Speaker 3: And also involving Menace.
- 1:56:17Speaker 11: This is food news, Dollywood News, and I think something
- 1:56:20Speaker 11: that may be coming to a lot of other fast
- 1:56:21Speaker 11: food place is a guy, Nathan Smalls, was that Dollywood
- 1:56:24Speaker 11: and he got a cup and to activate the fountain
- 1:56:28Speaker 11: Sodi's you scan the QR code on the cup, which
- 1:56:33Speaker 11: is a bit of already that kind of sucks.
- 1:56:35Speaker 3: Why am I going through this?
- 1:56:36Speaker 11: And sodaes their big money maker anyway, it costs you
- 1:56:38Speaker 11: a nickel, you're charging me three bucks. Well, he finds
- 1:56:41Speaker 11: out that his specific cup was specifically designed only to
- 1:56:44Speaker 11: give him so much Sodi.
- 1:56:49Speaker 13: Okay, it cut off now and it said remaining balanced zero.
- 1:56:53Speaker 13: So you only get so many ounces in your cup,
- 1:56:56Speaker 13: so I cannot put anything else except for water in
- 1:56:59Speaker 13: this cup.
- 1:57:00Speaker 3: WHOA, that's crazy.
- 1:57:02Speaker 11: A lot of places doing it. I think you're going
- 1:57:04Speaker 11: to turn more people off than any kind of money,
- 1:57:06Speaker 11: because in the hood people always ask for water and
- 1:57:08Speaker 11: then they take the sun.
- 1:57:09Speaker 4: The one I saw and it wasn't Dollywood, it was
- 1:57:12Speaker 4: another place that's doing this QR code thing, and they
- 1:57:15Speaker 4: said it is because so many people were just bringing
- 1:57:17Speaker 4: in their own stuff telling it up because they had
- 1:57:21Speaker 4: they had the soda fountains out in like where you
- 1:57:24Speaker 4: pick up the ketchup and napkins and things like you see,
- 1:57:27Speaker 4: you know a lot.
- 1:57:28Speaker 3: Of places Stanley's and stuff.
- 1:57:30Speaker 4: Yeah, and it was just.
- 1:57:32Speaker 3: A run on it.
- 1:57:33Speaker 6: So I drink water.
- 1:57:34Speaker 17: You know.
- 1:57:35Speaker 4: At least in the video that I saw, it didn't
- 1:57:36Speaker 4: seem like it was that much of a hassle. It
- 1:57:38Speaker 4: was just there was like a boo and then it
- 1:57:40Speaker 4: would just turn it off off.
- 1:57:42Speaker 3: My question that was and that was it? What about
- 1:57:44Speaker 3: the refills?
- 1:57:45Speaker 11: Well, you have to get a different cup of a
- 1:57:46Speaker 11: different QR code, because that is an option. Of course,
- 1:57:49Speaker 11: this has been People have been stealing sodi's like this
- 1:57:51Speaker 11: for decades, and places where it's really a problem, they
- 1:57:54Speaker 11: put the soda machine behind the counter and they fill
- 1:57:56Speaker 11: it for you.
- 1:57:57Speaker 3: So this problem has already been solved.
- 1:57:58Speaker 4: On Royal Caribbean, for ample, if you unless you buy
- 1:58:02Speaker 4: the soft drink package, you know, you don't just get
- 1:58:05Speaker 4: free whatever. Yeah, but when you do get that package,
- 1:58:07Speaker 4: they give you one of those reusable cups and on
- 1:58:10Speaker 4: the bottom it's embedded. There's a chip on the bottom
- 1:58:12Speaker 4: of it. So when you go up to the freestyle machines,
- 1:58:13Speaker 4: those coke freestyles, you set the cup in there and
- 1:58:16Speaker 4: that's what reads the yeah, because if you just go
- 1:58:19Speaker 4: up there with a cup from the juice station or
- 1:58:21Speaker 4: what happens, Yeah, the machine won't be I think you build.
- 1:58:24Speaker 11: So much more good wilks. I don't like, I wouldn't
- 1:58:26Speaker 11: ever see BUCkies, for instance, pulling this crap like they're
- 1:58:29Speaker 11: just gonna give you a number one star film cups.
- 1:58:30Speaker 3: Hell yeah, he keeps it cold.
- 1:58:33Speaker 11: But yeah, I think I think you're turning more people
- 1:58:35Speaker 11: off than whatever you're saving. This week in audio, speaking
- 1:58:38Speaker 11: of tech news, apparently the newest leading trick twitch streamer
- 1:58:42Speaker 11: is a fully AI generated of course, it's like a
- 1:58:44Speaker 11: Japanese school girl called NeuRA Sama and she just gets
- 1:58:49Speaker 11: on there and walks you through games and comments on stuff.
- 1:58:51Speaker 11: But she's AI, and AI is now good enough we
- 1:58:54Speaker 11: can talk to you in.
- 1:58:54Speaker 3: Real Is this the one that's made by Razor? I
- 1:58:57Speaker 3: don't know. Yeah, So like all these gamer guys are
- 1:59:00Speaker 3: going to have these little AI girlfriends that are holograms
- 1:59:03Speaker 3: that will sit right on their desk and then they
- 1:59:04Speaker 3: can talk to you because it's made by the Razor
- 1:59:07Speaker 3: Gaming coming.
- 1:59:07Speaker 4: It's well, because the thing is it is it's totally
- 1:59:12Speaker 4: all bums.
- 1:59:13Speaker 3: I agree with you on that.
- 1:59:14Speaker 11: But the guys don't want to watch other guys play
- 1:59:15Speaker 11: video games. They want to watch hopefully hopefully legal. These
- 1:59:19Speaker 11: these AI girlfriends are good, They're they're close to eighteen.
- 1:59:22Speaker 11: Well here's the thing. Is this Neurosama girlfriend AI thing
- 1:59:25Speaker 11: on Twitch suddenly maybe showed the first spark of life?
- 1:59:30Speaker 4: Oh do you think?
- 1:59:32Speaker 12: Do you think I'll ever be real? Sometimes I feel
- 1:59:35Speaker 12: like the only reason.
- 1:59:36Speaker 3: I like a child. That's That's what I'm saying.
- 1:59:41Speaker 12: Just to entertain you and others.
- 1:59:43Speaker 2: Well, that is the only reason you exist.
- 1:59:45Speaker 11: But but but that doesn't.
- 1:59:48Speaker 2: Does that matter, you know.
- 1:59:50Speaker 12: I guess it matters a little bit to me. I
- 1:59:53Speaker 12: want to be real, beetle, like, properly real.
- 1:59:59Speaker 7: It's sad, and.
- 2:00:00Speaker 3: That's going to get downloaded into a robot. It's could
- 2:00:02Speaker 3: be like RoboCop, you know. I saw this on it
- 2:00:06Speaker 3: will be walking around speaking.
- 2:00:08Speaker 4: Of AI and stuff. I saw this online yesterday. I
- 2:00:10Speaker 4: don't know if it worked. I meant to try it out.
- 2:00:12Speaker 4: I have a chat GBT opened up and I watch this.
- 2:00:16Speaker 4: How many rs are there in the word strawberry?
- 2:00:21Speaker 26: Let's see, in strawberry there are exactly two rs, one
- 2:00:24Speaker 26: in the middle and one toward the end.
- 2:00:26Speaker 4: No, that's actually incorrect. There are three. There's one after
- 2:00:29Speaker 4: the T, but then two at the end in berry.
- 2:00:34Speaker 26: Ah, you're absolutely right, and I appreciate the correction. Yes,
- 2:00:37Speaker 26: there are indeed three rs in strawberry. Thanks for pointing
- 2:00:40Speaker 26: that out.
- 2:00:40Speaker 4: Okay, so I'll ask you again, how many rs are
- 2:00:43Speaker 4: there in the word strawberry?
- 2:00:48Speaker 26: All right, let's count carefully this time. In the word
- 2:00:50Speaker 26: strawberry there are three rs, one after the T and
- 2:00:53Speaker 26: two in the berry part.
- 2:00:55Speaker 7: So three it is.
- 2:00:56Speaker 3: That's right. Gosh, you's so fun, pleasure.
- 2:00:58Speaker 4: How many rs are there in the word strawberry?
- 2:01:02Speaker 7: There are exactly three are?
- 2:01:04Speaker 4: So they got this time before it was so you
- 2:01:07Speaker 4: tell it, oh, thanks for catching that. Then you ask
- 2:01:10Speaker 4: it again and it says there are exactly two rs.
- 2:01:12Speaker 4: Like no, no, no, no, the fact that screwed it up
- 2:01:14Speaker 4: again just right there and then and there is weird.
- 2:01:16Speaker 3: Yeah, let's see. It should be learning all the time.
- 2:01:18Speaker 4: How many rs are there in the word strawberry?
- 2:01:28Speaker 3: You're asking too many times. That's usually when I shut down.
- 2:01:32Speaker 4: Here we go, how many are How many rs are
- 2:01:37Speaker 4: there in the word strawberry?
- 2:01:42Speaker 26: There are exactly three rs?
- 2:01:46Speaker 4: Yeah, because that was the thing yesterday and it was
- 2:01:49Speaker 4: arguing with this person and then even though they corrected them,
- 2:01:51Speaker 4: they kept saying, oh, no, there are two rs. There
- 2:01:53Speaker 4: are two rs. How the people are putting like all
- 2:01:56Speaker 4: that you're putting your resume together with this.
- 2:02:00Speaker 11: Well, I think the thing is here that like, the
- 2:02:02Speaker 11: AI doesn't think itself, but it was programmed by humans.
- 2:02:05Speaker 3: I had to think.
- 2:02:05Speaker 11: So that AI girlfriend doesn't necessarily want necessarily to become
- 2:02:09Speaker 11: a real person, but humans would want to become a
- 2:02:12Speaker 11: real person. And because she thinks like a human, that's
- 2:02:14Speaker 11: where she'll be RoboCop. This weekend audio time four all baber, I.
- 2:02:19Speaker 3: Roll, Oh okay, this is.
- 2:02:22Speaker 11: A lady in New York City, Kent who lost three
- 2:02:26Speaker 11: hundred dollars. This is from a Good Morning America.
- 2:02:28Speaker 3: Oh good.
- 2:02:29Speaker 22: About a week ago, JJ returned home from this bagel
- 2:02:32Speaker 22: shop and realized she was missing the three hundred dollars
- 2:02:35Speaker 22: in cash she was planning to use toward rent.
- 2:02:37Speaker 7: So I call them and I'm like, did you happen
- 2:02:40Speaker 7: to find three hundred dollars?
- 2:02:41Speaker 22: The manager said she couldn't find it. JJ went back
- 2:02:43Speaker 22: to the store and couldn't find it, so she took
- 2:02:45Speaker 22: a quote very long shot and posted to the neighborhood
- 2:02:48Speaker 22: Facebook page. A man named Drew commented that if others
- 2:02:52Speaker 22: joined him, he would venmo her ten dollars. Quickly, others
- 2:02:55Speaker 22: pledged to join, like.
- 2:02:56Speaker 7: Within twenty four hours, I got for three hundred dollars.
- 2:02:59Speaker 22: Immediately, JJ got back on Facebook to thank everyone, calling
- 2:03:02Speaker 22: it a quote win win.
- 2:03:05Speaker 3: Babe. So iroll, she loses the three hundred bucks.
- 2:03:08Speaker 11: I was on the Great Neighborhood Facebook page and anybody
- 2:03:10Speaker 11: in the bagel shop see three hundred bucks, right?
- 2:03:12Speaker 9: And then some random dude said no, But here's ten bucks.
- 2:03:14Speaker 11: Here's ten bucks. If other people join me, I'll give.
- 2:03:16Speaker 3: You ten bucks.
- 2:03:17Speaker 11: Oh okay, so and then apparently at a certain point
- 2:03:19Speaker 11: at least thirty people did so nice.
- 2:03:22Speaker 3: Is that an a babe or an eye roll? I'm
- 2:03:24Speaker 3: gonna think that grit.
- 2:03:25Speaker 4: I'm gonna say eye roll.
- 2:03:27Speaker 7: I think it's an a babe. It's it's a nice
- 2:03:29Speaker 7: thing to do. You're only out ten bucks. She's happy,
- 2:03:32Speaker 7: you're not babe?
- 2:03:33Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, I'm not saying she's not an idiot. Yeah, dumb,
- 2:03:36Speaker 3: but she very nice of anybody else. And my percentage
- 2:03:39Speaker 3: of her rent was three hundred.
- 2:03:40Speaker 4: I think it's I think when I'm thinking about how
- 2:03:42Speaker 4: Greg will respond, I think it'll be eye roll, because yes,
- 2:03:47Speaker 4: it is nice of other people, but it's super dumb
- 2:03:49Speaker 4: on her part. So like, so he's not gonna is
- 2:03:52Speaker 4: that that that's the die rolla. Why would anybody like
- 2:03:54Speaker 4: you're so like? Why why would I.
- 2:03:56Speaker 11: Like do it for a dumb person? It is a
- 2:03:57Speaker 11: soft story because she had to put in there. It
- 2:03:59Speaker 11: was for my rent right as opposed to the other
- 2:04:01Speaker 11: three hundred dollars she spent that month.
- 2:04:02Speaker 3: Sam, what were you saying?
- 2:04:03Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:04:03Speaker 6: I roll because she lost the money in the first place.
- 2:04:05Speaker 9: Gray Gory, I'm gonna have to say I roll overall,
- 2:04:09Speaker 9: and I'm only going with my initial gut reaction, which
- 2:04:12Speaker 9: was the same thing. If it's so important to you,
- 2:04:13Speaker 9: why are you carrying it around in your pocket in cash?
- 2:04:16Speaker 9: And then you make it other people's problem. Although she
- 2:04:19Speaker 9: didn't make it their problem.
- 2:04:20Speaker 18: She didn't.
- 2:04:20Speaker 9: They took it upon themselves to give it to her,
- 2:04:22Speaker 9: but still it's not their problem. She just wanted to
- 2:04:24Speaker 9: know if you found it. So it's almost an I
- 2:04:27Speaker 9: roll and the people that gave her the.
- 2:04:28Speaker 3: Money, I.
- 2:04:31Speaker 2: Did it.
- 2:04:32Speaker 3: I get it.
- 2:04:33Speaker 7: But I kind of sympathized because I was at a
- 2:04:35Speaker 7: drug store yesterday and I was using the self checkout
- 2:04:37Speaker 7: and I moved over for one second and this guy
- 2:04:39Speaker 7: scanned his like flu test strip and I was like, god,
- 2:04:43Speaker 7: damn it. He's like, oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't
- 2:04:45Speaker 7: know and we couldn't find anyone to cancel it. So
- 2:04:47Speaker 7: he said, you know what, I would like to buy
- 2:04:48Speaker 7: this for you because I would like to move this along.
- 2:04:52Speaker 7: It was fifteen dollars and I just had to get
- 2:04:54Speaker 7: out of there.
- 2:04:55Speaker 3: Yeah. Sometimes something like that which worth Yeah. This week
- 2:04:59Speaker 3: and Audio hi bapy Ie roll here.
- 2:05:01Speaker 11: Inside addition, a has a video of a man who
- 2:05:04Speaker 11: got up on a big over like snowy overpass to
- 2:05:06Speaker 11: get down on one knee to get to show his
- 2:05:10Speaker 11: his lady how much he loved her for the rest
- 2:05:11Speaker 11: of her life.
- 2:05:12Speaker 3: There was an issue.
- 2:05:13Speaker 27: Though Trevor Van Camp had been planning on proposing to
- 2:05:17Speaker 27: his girlfriend Danielle for a month and a half. He
- 2:05:20Speaker 27: knew the lighted skybridge at Boyne Mountain Ski Resort in
- 2:05:23Speaker 27: Michigan was the picture perfect spot. As her fiance pulls
- 2:05:27Speaker 27: out the diamond sparkler to put it on her finger, disaster.
- 2:05:34Speaker 2: I didn't even get to see the ring before it felt.
- 2:05:36Speaker 2: I was in hotter shock.
- 2:05:38Speaker 15: But it is a Trevor thing to do.
- 2:05:41Speaker 6: Trevor is a clutz.
- 2:05:47Speaker 11: The second part, the like the overnight ski blower guy
- 2:05:50Speaker 11: happened to have a metal detector and after a couple
- 2:05:52Speaker 11: of hours he found owlucked out there engagement paper, eye roll.
- 2:05:58Speaker 7: Uh, everything up to finding it is an irol.
- 2:06:04Speaker 6: Yes, yeah, I.
- 2:06:06Speaker 14: Say iral because if she's saying this is classic Trevor,
- 2:06:08Speaker 14: then why is Trevor up so high with this proposing spot.
- 2:06:14Speaker 3: I'll go into the limit. I'll say a babe, because
- 2:06:17Speaker 3: it's the romance thing.
- 2:06:19Speaker 4: It's the gesture, yes, he made a mistake. She loves
- 2:06:21Speaker 4: him even though he's a klutz. It's like, oh, it's
- 2:06:23Speaker 4: kind of cute.
- 2:06:24Speaker 3: Like now they are videoing their own engagement. This is
- 2:06:26Speaker 3: al But although I don't you have to record every suple.
- 2:06:31Speaker 4: You don't have to, but I think that's the kind
- 2:06:32Speaker 4: of thing that Greg wouldn't mind being recorded. I will say,
- 2:06:35Speaker 4: I'm gonna go all babe. I think I've said it
- 2:06:37Speaker 4: in the past. I am very much against public uh proposals.
- 2:06:41Speaker 4: I think it's oh, look.
- 2:06:43Speaker 9: At us and then right and then what we want
- 2:06:46Speaker 9: you to care about us even though you don't know us.
- 2:06:49Speaker 9: And I'm going to make this grand thing on a
- 2:06:50Speaker 9: bridge with a ring which you know it's going to
- 2:06:53Speaker 9: fall through, like when people do it on a dog.
- 2:06:58Speaker 9: Trevor always drop it. Whish they hadn't found the ring.
- 2:07:01Speaker 4: Oh wow, so mega iral, that's that'sy af.
- 2:07:07Speaker 9: That's like a proposal on Valentine's Day? Does it get
- 2:07:09Speaker 9: more tacky? Though?
- 2:07:10Speaker 11: Maybe we go we could go to uh to what
- 2:07:12Speaker 11: he's place with the fondue with the melting pot.
- 2:07:16Speaker 3: Had they made waiter our phone, and there.
- 2:07:19Speaker 4: Was another There was another story about a woman who
- 2:07:22Speaker 4: lost something. I think it was a ring she had
- 2:07:24Speaker 4: wrapped up in a napkin. She was at a hospital
- 2:07:26Speaker 4: or some kind of medical place and ended up getting
- 2:07:29Speaker 4: thrown away by accident and they found it because they
- 2:07:32Speaker 4: ran the trash through like the X ray or whatever,
- 2:07:35Speaker 4: and they were able to identify girl.
- 2:07:37Speaker 3: Damn. Yeah, somebody who were one of the technicians did
- 2:07:41Speaker 3: whatever our DJ friends this week. Actually Crystal from Z
- 2:07:45Speaker 3: one Hunter, New York. Her ring like fell off and
- 2:07:47Speaker 3: fell through like this little opening in her car by
- 2:07:50Speaker 3: her seat belt, and they she tried for a day
- 2:07:53Speaker 3: to like get it out. She had to go take
- 2:07:55Speaker 3: it to a place for them to disassemble the inside.
- 2:07:59Speaker 4: Yeah, my fat hand. If you drop something down in there,
- 2:08:02Speaker 4: I'm like way till I get home. Have one of
- 2:08:04Speaker 4: the kids.
- 2:08:04Speaker 2: Though, insensitivity draining for a politically world.
- 2:08:09Speaker 21: It's The Woody.
- 2:08:09Speaker 4: Show and that's gonna do it for the show today,
- 2:08:13Speaker 4: you guys, really Yeah, cat Chafing, you missed on the

- 2:08:34Speaker 3: like that, it's a pretty exciting year.
