- 0:00Today I am going to give you some of the best, the best, the
- 0:03most priceless advice you're ever going to get regarding your
- 0:06dating photos. OK, this is for men.
- 0:09This is for women. Listen up.
- 0:11Hang on. All right?
- 0:13So when it comes to advertising yourself for dating or marketing
- 0:18yourself for dating, and that is what it is, all right?
- 0:22You have to retrain your brain and think of it that way.
- 0:25You're marketing yourself for dating.
- 0:27Think of it as if you were applying for a job, but you're
- 0:30only going to get that amazing job just based on photos.
- 0:34So if you're applying for a job and it's just based on photos,
- 0:38would you be using these low level photos that you're using
- 0:41of the dating apps? Would you be including friends?
- 0:44Would you be including your dog? Would you be including hat?
- 0:48Sunglasses? You in a field of flowers?
- 0:50No. You'd be really very intentional
- 0:53about all these photos so that you can get an amazing job.
- 0:57All right, so now you're trying to get an amazing person to date
- 1:00you or fall in love with you or you, yet you use these low level
- 1:04photos. Let's let's retrain our brain.
- 1:07Never hats, sunglasses, or you super, super far away or a
- 1:12weird, horrible, unflattering angle.
- 1:14OK, just pay attention to the details and make sure that all
- 1:17your photos are carefully curated and well thought out.
- 1:21So when people talk to me about elevating the photos and I talk
- 1:25to them about elevating their photos, a lot of people will
- 1:27say, but I heard you're not supposed to use professional
- 1:30photos. So I'm going to tell you how I
- 1:31feel about professional photos. All right, hang on.
- 1:34And yes, you can take your own photos.
- 1:36Again, you just have to have great lighting.
- 1:38Never have the light at your back or at your side because
- 1:40you're going to be dark. You could set your photo, your
- 1:43phone on a tripod and clicker. Use the clicker, or you set it
- 1:46on a timer and it does a burst and you pose and you move around
- 1:49and you bring the vibe never frozen face right?
- 1:52And that's not attractive. I'm not opposed to professional
- 1:55photos, you know. I think the goal should be to
- 1:58have the very best photos you could possibly have on the
- 2:01dating apps. However, when it comes to
- 2:04professional photos, never hire a photographer that is just a
- 2:07headshot photographer. Never hire a photographer that
- 2:10does it in studio. All right, this stuff is where
- 2:14things go terribly wrong and where you start to get cheesy,
- 2:18lame photos that are not appropriate for dating.
- 2:22So for dating photos, you want a photographer who's a lifestyle
- 2:26photographer who shoots in a live real environment, whether
- 2:29it's inside their fabulous home, whether it's inside your house,
- 2:34whether it's outside at a park. But a parks going to be
- 2:37limiting? All right, You want a
- 2:38photographer who knows what they're doing when it comes to
- 2:41creating lifestyle photos, OK, I also don't want you to focus on
- 2:46headshot stuff. Why?
- 2:48People want to see full body. So focus only on full body.
- 2:51Tell your photographer if you're doing professional photos, tell
- 2:55them you want all full body. Because here's the thing, you
- 2:57can crop into a headshot later. All right, so now, if you are
- 3:02taking your own photos and most of the ladies are who work with
- 3:04me, have great lighting, have great lighting, I face a great
- 3:08window here that I do all my videos, my TikTok.
- 3:11I'm not using filters. I'm just using great lighting.
- 3:14Also, when it comes to using professional photography and
- 3:17professional photos, never let them retouch the photos.
- 3:20Tell them you want just real RAW photos.
- 3:24Hopefully their skill set is good enough.
- 3:26They know how to light you good enough that they don't need to
- 3:28airbrush you because that's also the problem.
- 3:31You don't want to use fake filtered or airbrushed photos.
- 3:34OK, so you don't want to be wearing hats, sunglasses, have
- 3:38other people in the photos who could potentially be more
- 3:41attractive than you, all right? Or confuse somebody by which one
- 3:45is you. Or if you're a man, you never
- 3:47want a man who's taller than you standing next to you in a photo.
- 3:50All right? These are just the bottom line
- 3:52basics. So always think of your photos
- 3:54like this. Does it help?
- 3:56Does it hurt? Does it do nothing?
- 3:58All right, that's how I tell everybody.
- 4:00And if it helps, amazing. Keep it in.
- 4:03If it hurts and it's not as good as some of the others, it's got
- 4:06to go. People are going to judge you on
- 4:08your weakest photo, OK? And if it's a do nothing photo,
- 4:12if you're standing in a field of flowers, nobody's going to pick
- 4:15you because those great flowers, nobody's going to pick you.
- 4:17If your backs to the camera and you're looking at the Eiffel
- 4:21Tower, that's a do nothing photo.
- 4:23You can keep it in, but you're taking up valuable real estate
- 4:26that you could put better photos in that actually might make them
- 4:29choose you. But at least it's a do nothing
- 4:31photo. So it's not going to make them
- 4:33not choose you, but it's not going to influence them to
- 4:35choose you either. All right, Does it help?
- 4:37Does it hurt? Does it do nothing?
- 4:39Always think of it in terms like of these and always think of it
- 4:42in terms of are you truly marketing yourself for dating
- 4:46that makes you seem irresistible to somebody because that should
- 4:51be the goal. Hope it helps.
